- 0:00Speaker 1: Broadcasting live across the world.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Right now.
- 0:05Speaker 1: This is the John Jay and Rich radio program. Okay,
- 0:09Speaker 1: good morning, couple's podcast. Good morning, my very amazing, the
- 0:14Speaker 1: best in the world husband is coming up with us
- 0:17Speaker 1: with the best energy this morning.
- 0:18Speaker 3: You didn't just say that all that in the last take.
- 0:20Speaker 3: We just did.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I started it off because well you were like,
- 0:24Speaker 1: you're kind of mad at me because you said I
- 0:25Speaker 1: broke a promise, but like I was tired. I fell asleep.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We were out at the pool all day. Sorry, your
- 0:32Speaker 1: girl will be sleepy. I literally fell asleep on the
- 0:35Speaker 1: couch with no blanket, no pillow, nothing. You didn't even
- 0:38Speaker 1: wake me up to eat the food that we bought.
- 0:39Speaker 1: You just let me let us sit there and get cold.
- 0:42Speaker 3: So now I didn't try to wake you up.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I don't remember you trying to wake me up. Okay,
- 0:46Speaker 1: you did, right, Okay, so I'll take that as yes,
- 0:50Speaker 1: I guess. But no, we had a fun weekend this weekend?
- 0:53Speaker 1: Did you have a good time? You kept forgetting about it,
- 0:57Speaker 1: which was Aggie.
- 0:59Speaker 3: And forgetting about what our staycation.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I was like, are you ready for this weekend? What's
- 1:06Speaker 1: this weekend? Like? That's forgetting about it? Or were you
- 1:10Speaker 1: just not as excited as I was.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I feel like any opportunity to get up out of
- 1:17Speaker 1: this house is a good one. Not that it's bad
- 1:19Speaker 1: here or anything, but like sometimes we need to stay.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's like meme, she just wanted to be able to
- 1:25Speaker 1: frolic around the house because she was here by herself
- 1:27Speaker 1: because my mom and dad were out of time too. Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 3: No, she liked her a long time.
- 1:33Speaker 1: She hasn't been all over us and trying to talk
- 1:35Speaker 1: to us though, so she didn't miss us that much.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Speak for yourself, I guess I could do that.
- 1:47Speaker 1: No, But we were at the Caesar's Republic in Scottsdale,
- 1:51Speaker 1: like the old Town Scottsdale area, and I heard there
- 1:54Speaker 1: was like a little bit of lore with that hotel.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So I don't know if this is like facts or not,
- 1:59Speaker 1: but I think like Casino's Republic is like a Vegas
- 2:02Speaker 1: based franchise, right, so I think that they wanted to
- 2:05Speaker 1: turn it into a casino. But I don't think in
- 2:06Speaker 1: Arizona you can have a casino unless it's on the reservation,
- 2:11Speaker 1: because that would have been dope because it's like not
- 2:13Speaker 1: a casino in there. At all. It's just like a
- 2:15Speaker 1: super nice hotel. And we liked it because we were
- 2:20Speaker 1: gonna go get married there.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah, And it was nice because we stayed on that
- 2:27Speaker 1: like stayed on the floor where we could. We had
- 2:30Speaker 1: the view of Candleback And did you look at the mountain?
- 2:36Speaker 3: Really?
- 2:36Speaker 1: So I just learned this That camelback Mountain looks like
- 2:40Speaker 1: it has a camel hump on the back. I can't
- 2:43Speaker 1: believe I didn't show you that.
- 2:45Speaker 3: We literally talked about that.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I know, but I was saying, right, but I'm saying
- 2:50Speaker 1: that I just learned that information within the last few weeks.
- 2:54Speaker 3: You didn't say that. You said you just learned that.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I did just I mean, you just learned it, right,
- 3:00Speaker 2: Like just learning something when you don't give context is
- 3:04Speaker 2: like I'm thinking you're learned at just now.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Well you don't say I just learned it three weeks ago.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Well it was really like a week ago that I
- 3:11Speaker 1: learned it. But I just didn't know. I thought that
- 3:14Speaker 1: was kind of cool. But anyway, so we did. We
- 3:17Speaker 1: stayed at the Caesars Republic Hotel, which was so nice.
- 3:22Speaker 1: The blackout curtains fire. I was so tired when I
- 3:26Speaker 1: took my nap and it's directly crossed from the mall,
- 3:28Speaker 1: so you can go shopping. We went into the new
- 3:30Speaker 1: Skins store, but they didn't have any of the like
- 3:32Speaker 1: Scottsdale collection. They only had like the one white T
- 3:35Speaker 1: shirt and like an extra extra extra extra, extra extra
- 3:37Speaker 1: extra small, which is kind of annoying. But what's that
- 3:43Speaker 1: shoe store that we like?
- 3:45Speaker 3: That's either yes, I don't know any shoe story that
- 3:51Speaker 3: you like.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yes, yes you do. The shoe store that we walk
- 3:53Speaker 1: into all the time. They have one at the Chandler mall.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And they have one of the scott Stale mall.
- 3:58Speaker 3: M hm, yes.
- 4:00Speaker 1: What just yes, Oh well, it's not like foot locker.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It's not like one that we know of. I cannot
- 4:08Speaker 1: remember the name of it to save my life right now.
- 4:11Speaker 1: But whatever they have that mall or they have that
- 4:13Speaker 1: in there. You could go walk across the street go
- 4:15Speaker 1: to the movies and they have all like the fufee
- 4:16Speaker 1: restaurants surrounding it, like Elafonte and Catch and if you
- 4:21Speaker 1: want like a barbide, we can go to bar Bambino.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But where we went we went to Luna bi Giata
- 4:26Speaker 1: in the little restaurant area of the hotel, and I
- 4:31Speaker 1: thought it was a great meal. I was kind of
- 4:33Speaker 1: intimidated by the menu at first, but I feel like
- 4:36Speaker 1: we got a pretty good spread.
- 4:40Speaker 3: It's not really type of food, I guess, but.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You went in on it because it's like it's one
- 4:45Speaker 1: of those things like where it's not that it's not
- 4:47Speaker 1: our type of food, because the stuff that we ordered
- 4:48Speaker 1: was stuff that we like. It's just that, you know,
- 4:51Speaker 1: when you go to those like fancy restaurants and like
- 4:54Speaker 1: they have like weird names for things when really it's
- 4:58Speaker 1: like it's like blue cheese. Blue cheese is garganzola, But
- 5:01Speaker 1: if you just put gargonzola, I'm a little bit more
- 5:03Speaker 1: intimidated than if I see blue cheese.
- 5:05Speaker 3: You know.
- 5:06Speaker 1: But we got okay, we got the meatballs. The meatballs
- 5:11Speaker 1: were bomb and then we got the pizza and the
- 5:13Speaker 1: pizza was kind of like their take on a pepperoni pizza,
- 5:16Speaker 1: which I like. But I don't know if you caught
- 5:18Speaker 1: this babe. When she was telling us about the meatballs
- 5:21Speaker 1: after we ate them, she was like, yeah, their mix
- 5:24Speaker 1: of three meats. It was like like a beef a
- 5:28Speaker 1: something else in the meal.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Okay, no human meat.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was not human meat that is disgusting. No, it
- 5:39Speaker 1: was veal. Veal is deer. I don't I don't want
- 5:42Speaker 1: to eat a poor I don't want to eat baby.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I don't mess with that. And I wish you would
- 5:47Speaker 1: have led with that because I probably wouldn't have eaten
- 5:49Speaker 1: the meatball.
- 5:49Speaker 3: It's you eat cows but not deer.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know why. It's just like cows. I
- 5:56Speaker 1: don't know. I just feel bad for the baby deer.
- 5:58Speaker 3: You don't feel bad for the cat, not really.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I mean it's like not that I okay, I feel
- 6:03Speaker 1: bad for them. It's just like, is there a Disney
- 6:07Speaker 1: cow that has a bow that I'm not looking at
- 6:10Speaker 1: thinking about when I'm eating the burger?
- 6:14Speaker 3: Dumbo?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Dumbo's an elephant? You Dumbo?
- 6:20Speaker 3: Like what.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Anyway?
- 6:23Speaker 3: You've never seen that cow show on Disney or Nickelodeon.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, yes, Barnyard. I liked that show. But no,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I don't think of them.
- 6:33Speaker 3: But you think of Banby, but you don't think of Barnyard. Yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 3: I know.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Sorry to the cows. I do love like a good burger.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I went to Bad Jimmy's the other day. Probably one
- 6:44Speaker 1: of the best burgers I've ever had in my entire life.
- 6:46Speaker 1: It was one of those smash burgers, which I'm really
- 6:49Speaker 1: excited because you make a good burger. You make a
- 6:52Speaker 1: good burger, no yawning on the podcast, you make a
- 6:55Speaker 1: good burger. But what I'm pumped about is so far
- 6:59Speaker 1: our wedding Kyle gifted as one of those like Ninja grills.
- 7:03Speaker 1: So I'm punped for you to make us a burger
- 7:05Speaker 1: on the making anything, Yeah, you are, You're gonna.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Be Okay, I promise I'll make something. What I promise,
- 7:14Speaker 3: I'll make.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Some What are you gonna make? Oh you're saying because
- 7:17Speaker 1: I didn't withhold my promise to you yesterday. Sorry. Then okay,
- 7:22Speaker 1: wait back to our meal at Luna by Giado. Okay,
- 7:24Speaker 1: so we have the meatballs, we have the pepperoni, and
- 7:27Speaker 1: then okay, then we ordered a whole bunch of stuff.
- 7:29Speaker 1: We got a side of the mash potatoes, which were yummy,
- 7:32Speaker 1: very buttery. Then we got a steak and I am
- 7:37Speaker 1: a steak sauce girly like the fact I didn't even
- 7:39Speaker 1: ask for a one sauce says a lot. You thought
- 7:43Speaker 1: that steak was bombed too? Huh No, yes you did.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Why are you lying on the podcast right now. You
- 7:49Speaker 1: guys should see his face right now. He's like cocking
- 7:51Speaker 1: his head and sticking his tongue out at me like
- 7:53Speaker 1: a child. But yeah, okay, So then we had that,
- 7:58Speaker 1: and then what else did we get?
- 7:59Speaker 2: Oh?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Oh, we got the lobster, which it tastes like crab.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I don't know if I I don't know if I
- 8:05Speaker 1: like because it's like a lot of meat in one bite.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I think I just like the sauce of like a
- 8:10Speaker 1: seafood boil, and they put it in like the little
- 8:13Speaker 1: crab shell too. It's kind of scary looking. Huh huh, Kadem,
- 8:17Speaker 1: If you don't give more, this is literally just me
- 8:19Speaker 1: yapping right now. You're gonna make me tell us about
- 8:25Speaker 1: your your meal though. Oh and we got the vodka
- 8:28Speaker 1: pasta with the chicken. That was gas It was spicy though,
- 8:30Speaker 1: But bomb, did you like your meal? Dow in general? No,
- 8:34Speaker 1: yes you did. Why are you lying right now? You're
- 8:37Speaker 1: gonna okay, seriously stop stop. We have like ten more
- 8:42Speaker 1: minutes of this podcast, and if this is what you're
- 8:44Speaker 1: gonna give me, I'm gonna be irritated.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Okay a.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Kanim And then we went to sleep. Oh, we had
- 8:55Speaker 1: some really good cocktails too, went to sleep. We woke up,
- 8:57Speaker 1: We slept in. I wanted to go get some breakfast,
- 9:00Speaker 1: but it took cutting a million hours to get out
- 9:02Speaker 1: of bed.
- 9:03Speaker 3: We will coup at the same time.
- 9:04Speaker 1: That's not true. I was up for like an hour before.
- 9:06Speaker 3: You know you were, Yes, I was where you were.
- 9:09Speaker 1: And then we went to the We went to the
- 9:12Speaker 1: Cleopatra pool party, which was also a vibe. My friend Tatum.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Came her Cleopatra was not there.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Cleopatra was not there, So how is.
- 9:20Speaker 3: It a Cleopatra pool party and she's not there?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Because that's what makes no sense. That's what the name
- 9:25Speaker 1: of the pool is makes no sense. That's what the
- 9:27Speaker 1: name of the pool is.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Stupid.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Your space is stupid. I'm telling my mommy said that.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm telling her.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Nobody heard me say.
- 9:38Speaker 1: An I'm pretty sure that the mics picked up your mama.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And if they did it, I know and I'm telling
- 9:45Speaker 1: her when she gets back from her vacation. But the
- 9:49Speaker 1: pool party was so fun. My brother Jalen was there,
- 9:51Speaker 1: his boyfriend Alex came, and it was a vibe. And
- 9:54Speaker 1: let me tell you, guys, I am not a public
- 9:56Speaker 1: pool person, but it was one hundred and fifteen degrees outside.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I kind of have a weird fear about them. So
- 10:01Speaker 1: my weird ass was the only one in the pool
- 10:03Speaker 1: with shoes on.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I don't know how you can go You go in
- 10:09Speaker 2: the pool with shoes on, but you walk outside barefoot,
- 10:11Speaker 2: and walk around the house barefoot, walk around the hotel barefoot.
- 10:14Speaker 3: I don't want to go in the pool with your
- 10:16Speaker 3: shoes on. That makes no sense.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I mean I don't really like to walk around the
- 10:21Speaker 1: hotel barefoot, like I like to have a pair of
- 10:23Speaker 1: slippers on, but like a home and outside, it's a
- 10:25Speaker 1: little different. I think that my irrational fear with the
- 10:29Speaker 1: pool party is like or with the public pools is
- 10:33Speaker 1: like people don't get out to go to the bathroom.
- 10:35Speaker 1: People you don't know if they wipe their ass good
- 10:38Speaker 1: enough that morning. Like people are gross, yeah, including myself,
- 10:43Speaker 1: Like you never know, you just never know, and wear
- 10:46Speaker 1: wear dirty. I am not dirty. I'm just saying when
- 10:50Speaker 1: you go into like a public pool like that, like
- 10:53Speaker 1: it's like a plethora of like nasty and steak. But
- 10:56Speaker 1: let me tell you, like the one reason why I
- 10:58Speaker 1: really really really struggle it. So there's this hotel. It's
- 11:02Speaker 1: called Arizona Grand and it's like right off of like
- 11:04Speaker 1: the ten and Baseline. And I used to grow up
- 11:06Speaker 1: going there for my birthday parties, like on the weekends.
- 11:09Speaker 1: My parents would get the hotel room for two nights
- 11:11Speaker 1: and my friends would come and stay and we'd go
- 11:12Speaker 1: to the water park. Well, they have these big wavepools,
- 11:16Speaker 1: and in the wave pool, I remember I was with
- 11:18Speaker 1: my friend and I'm like in the wavepool swimming and
- 11:21Speaker 1: I lift my hands up and there was like not
- 11:25Speaker 1: dripping from my hands from other people like blowing their
- 11:28Speaker 1: nose in the freaking pool. Like that's disgusting. That's disgusting.
- 11:35Speaker 1: So that's my I mean, And then when I say
- 11:36Speaker 1: it all out again, it is not a real irrational
- 11:39Speaker 1: fear in that case. Exactly, you didn't grow up in pools.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You apparently even know how to swim. Let me teach you, anybody,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I have any swim instructors out there that can teach
- 11:53Speaker 1: Kadeen how to swim in the deep ing Well, it's
- 11:56Speaker 1: just because I want to go like and play off
- 11:58Speaker 1: the diving board, Like you.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Want, where the hell is there a dagon board at
- 12:03Speaker 3: that You're going to play off like, what are you
- 12:05Speaker 3: talking about?
- 12:07Speaker 1: I guarantee you. Well, first of all, you have the
- 12:10Speaker 1: bash of Pool, the Hamilton Pool, all of those pools.
- 12:12Speaker 3: How many times have you you're from Chamber, how many
- 12:15Speaker 3: times have you been to either of those pools before?
- 12:17Speaker 1: I had this irrational fear public smooth.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Okay, So when you were twelve years old and Trehonna
- 12:24Speaker 3: had almost thirty.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Treana was at first of all, I'm not almost almost
- 12:29Speaker 1: my birthday's coming up and I'm going to be twenty eight.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Now you're almost thirty.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Unlike you, mister old man. I can see the grays
- 12:35Speaker 1: poking already.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You're about to be thirty, so stop.
- 12:42Speaker 1: How about that?
- 12:47Speaker 3: I'm sitting at her at this clip.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Well, speaking of your mom, we're heading to Portland in
- 12:53Speaker 1: a couple of weeks, all right.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I don't want to talk about why so I don't
- 12:57Speaker 3: want to go.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Well, you do want to go. You're gonna a wedding
- 13:00Speaker 1: for the first time ever, aside from your own, which
- 13:03Speaker 1: is exciting.
- 13:03Speaker 3: I don't want to go.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I still don't know what dress I'm gonna wear. I
- 13:07Speaker 1: did get our tickets this morning, though, but we fly
- 13:12Speaker 1: back on my birthday. I don't really know what we're
- 13:13Speaker 1: gonna do.
- 13:14Speaker 3: You've got our tickets this morning.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I went on the website and got the tickets
- 13:22Speaker 1: this morning.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Okay.
- 13:25Speaker 1: But it's gonna be nice though, because it'll be fun
- 13:27Speaker 1: to hang out with everyone and see everyone, because everyone's
- 13:29Speaker 1: gonna be in town. And it's been a while since.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I mean I've been back to Portland, probably over a year,
- 13:35Speaker 1: So I'm excited about that. But I think maybe we'll
- 13:37Speaker 1: just do like a little dinner or something for my birthday,
- 13:40Speaker 1: not like twenty eight it's a big deal or anything.
- 13:44Speaker 2: It's not that we haven't fucking I mean, we haven't
- 13:46Speaker 2: done It's not like we haven't done.
- 13:50Speaker 3: We haven't done something every single year for your birthday.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Well, I know, it's just that I like to celebrate
- 13:56Speaker 1: my birthday, my birthday.
- 13:57Speaker 3: We'd never do anything from That's not true.
- 14:00Speaker 1: That is not true at all. I love your birthday.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Your birthday is probably my favorite.
- 14:06Speaker 3: So what have we done. What's the most exciting thing
- 14:08Speaker 3: we've done for my birthday?
- 14:09Speaker 1: We've gone out to eat. You don't want to do
- 14:11Speaker 1: things for your birthday? So your birthdays in the middle
- 14:14Speaker 1: of January. So I'm a basketball coach and you're a
- 14:16Speaker 1: basketball coach. You went to Portland last year for your
- 14:18Speaker 1: birthday without me. You left me here by myself, and
- 14:23Speaker 1: I had probably the worst day of my entire life
- 14:26Speaker 1: to day because you.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Don't ever plan that for me for birthday, so I
- 14:29Speaker 3: had to plan it for myself.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 14:31Speaker 3: We've been to San Diego for your birthday. We've been
- 14:33Speaker 3: to Mexico. We've been to We've done Disneyland, we done
- 14:37Speaker 3: Universal Studios. We do I'm going to New York.
- 14:39Speaker 1: We have not done Disney.
- 14:41Speaker 3: We went to New York.
- 14:42Speaker 1: We did not go to New York.
- 14:44Speaker 3: That was a birthday trip for you.
- 14:46Speaker 1: No, it was we went on that trip with your dad.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I don't want to hear it. You're so annoying for that. Well,
- 14:53Speaker 1: maybe I'm going to cancel my plans for your thirtieth
- 14:56Speaker 1: birthday party that I'm planning. You actually want to know
- 14:59Speaker 1: what I kind of an idea about We.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Could talk about that off the podcast.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Why you don't want to talk about it on the podcast.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I don't want everybody in my business. It's my bit
- 15:08Speaker 3: stop talk about me talk about you.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Why are we so opposite? Sometimes like and you like
- 15:18Speaker 1: to yeat bro so I don't understand why you be
- 15:22Speaker 1: acting brand new. You guys should see this man's face
- 15:25Speaker 1: right now. I'm gonna pop you in the mouth. You
- 15:27Speaker 1: were so annoying. I just know too. I just know
- 15:30Speaker 1: when we have kids, they are gonna be just as
- 15:32Speaker 1: annoying as you are, and you guys are gonna gang
- 15:34Speaker 1: up on me and I'm not here for that.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Ask the people this. Let's ask the people this. What
- 15:38Speaker 3: is it?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Is it worse to be annoying on purpose knowing you're annoying,
- 15:44Speaker 2: You're trying to get people's skins, knowing you're annoying on purpose,
- 15:48Speaker 2: or being annoying on accident, like like Peyton, like just
- 15:51Speaker 2: being an annoying person. I just in myself, So that's
- 15:56Speaker 2: an annoying person.
