- Liam: What's up? Forth and T podcast, week five game previews. Jamie, how you doing? Jamie: Very good. Very good. NFL is just flying by, isn't it? Week five already. We've got teams on bye week. You know, it's we're into the we're into the proper meat of the season now. So so yeah, I'm doing good but feeling good. What about yourself? Liam: mate loving it it's flying by so quick Jamie: Yeah. Liam: isn't it it's actually really annoying because i feel like it's going to be gone in two seconds but you know Jamie: I know, yeah. Liam: i i'm excited for week five there's still some things just i want to see like a bucks win Jamie: Mm-hmm. Liam: yeah i'm just i'm just buzzing you know as always buzzing to be here with you on the pod as ever so Jamie: Love that. Love that. Liam: yeah And just for everybody listening, remember to like and subscribe on all the major platforms. So we like to start the pods, little bit of, know, hello, how are you? But we are a new podcast. We say it every time until we're not. We're going to go through a little bit of news. We're going to really quickly review, no, preview every game. Then we're going to do a wild take of the week each. We're then gonna go into players to avoid for fantasy. We do our four-com section where we pick another team to throw onto the pile who aren't gonna make the playoffs. And then at the end, we're gonna continue our survivor. Spoiler alert, we're onto our third of the season. So yeah, without any further ado, Jamie, do wanna kick us off with the news? Jamie: Yes, breaking NFL news. Literally within an hour of us filming. I know. Flying. It's Liam: Wit woo! Jamie: like Pacheco all over again. The Philadelphia Eagles are trading away their center, Cam Jurgen. Seventh round pick as well, going to the Baltimore Ravens for a fifth rounder and a twenty twenty eight second rounder. The Eagles drafting him in twenty twenty two. He's played sixty-two well, he's made sixty-two appearances and two Pro Bowls as an Eagle as well. interesting player to trade away. I think that they've Eagles haven't been running the ball that well either this season. So maybe they're thinking moving him on, get a second rounder for him as well. And a fifth rounder. That's not bad, to be fair, in terms of a haul. So yeah. So that Liam: Not a bad haul. Raven, mate, Raven's, obviously Lamar's looking a bit injured and I mean, question mark what he's gonna pay this week. They've got Snoop Huntley, but you know, more protection for that man, the better. yeah. Right, what's next? Jamie: Yeah. So that's that one ticked off. Liam's Seattle Seahawks. They are not signing Joe Mixon following his physical. obviously he missed the entire twenty f twenty five season with a foot injury, obviously a lot more serious than what was made out probably last season. and obviously got released by the Texans in the off season and he's still looking for a team. I th I did think it was a bit I thought that was gonna be a good match actually for you guys, but you know. Liam: Mate, I think it was depth. I also think it was depth. think if Wilson got injured, I think that he was just going to be there as a bit of a veteran in the room. There's just so many injuries in that running back room in Seattle. So yeah, that's breaking breaking news because they only signed him I think yesterday. So yeah, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: there we go. And onto the last one. Jamie: Last one, it's Odo Beckham Jr., he's about again. Vikings have signed him. You click on it, right? You click on Vikings sign Odobeckham Jr. Scroll down, practice squad. So let's see if he makes it to the to the active roster. But yeah, Odo Beckham Jr. with the Vikings. Probably another weapon for Kyler Murray to to not throw to. So so there you go. Odo Beckham Junior's got another team to sit on the bench for. Liam: I mean, that's it, isn't it? I suppose they've got to kickstart something. Can I mean, Justin Jefferson might be injured. So not ideal in the slightest. So that's a bit of the news covered. So now we're going to get into it. We're going to go through the game review previews. What's wrong with me today? We're going to go with the, we're going to go through the game previews for week five, starting with Thursday night football and it's the Buccaneers. my beloved Buccaneers at the Dallas Cowboys. So quick one start off. This is the Cowboys favor by 8.5 points. So what can we say? We have got the rookie Jalen Daniels starting again. First prime time game. I'm a bit worried for the Buccaneers. Then Winfield Juniors also out now and like the backfield for the Bucs has been holding out in these games. So this is looking like a one sided affair to say the very least. The Cowboys unleashed last week. They're showing their true full potential in attack. The books, they're spreading it about too much, like I said in the last part. They're a little bit directionless and hit with injuries. But then, you know, the Cowboys defense, everyone is scoring a lot of points on the defense. Won't spoil any of them. I won't go into my prediction, but Jamie, what are you thinking? Jamie: Only eight point five. That is that that's Liam: you Jamie: it that's a that's a decent one. I can't you just can't look past the Dallas Cowboys in this. Yeah, thing is you've got to s you to compete with the Cowboys when their offense is going for it, you need to score thirty plus and there's only so much you can give the ball to K Dotten, you know what I And and again and again and again and again Yeah Liam: Kade Otten, man, I like him, but he just needs to not be your number one wide receiver. Jamie: The mad Yeah. Liam: my gosh. Jamie: Like I've seen a Buka's even fantasy like prediction like points prediction for this week is like less than like s I think it's like less than eight or something like that. Like he's falling down there. Liam: This man had the best six game start to a career since Randy Moss. Defend not using this player. Jamie: y you can't. But who's calling your offensive pla it can't be Todd Bowles isn't, surely. Trying to think who's it who's even there. Liam: No, not Tom. That Robinson came from the Falcons. And guess what they did at the Falcons? They didn't use Kyle Pitts. Not that they're using him now, but they were, but they wasn't using Jamie: Well, not that yeah. Liam: Bigeon as well as they could have. And they wasn't using Drake London as well as they could have. And he's come to Tampa and said, let's pass it to Cade Otten. This is why I'm worried that if Todd Bowles gets fired, we might end up with him as the head coach. Yeah, you're gobsmacked. I know. Jamie is gobsmacked. Who'd thought? Jamie: It yeah, I mean you're gonna it you you're gonna lose. Like there's Liam: Mate, the editing is gonna hate that little bit of Minanarin. Jamie: The thing is, it's gonna think that it's just like it's just was it what's it call fill of words and it's gonna be an error. Liam: Errors? Yeah. Jamie: Cut, cut, cut. But the Liam: Go on then, predictions. Jamie: cowboy's easy. Liam: I'm going with the Tampa Bay Bookers first win of the season, one and four. It's going to happen and these Cowboys don't have a defense. Jamie: Bucks don't have an offense. Liam: The books don't have much, they have, they've got to break it at some point. So here we go. Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Liam. Jamie, not lost. Jamie: Well, you know what? In my notes I've actually put cowboys both, so let me just edit that. Lovely. Liam: Yeah. So yeah, cool. On to the next one. And we've got the Eagles at the Jaguars. So again, in London, early kickoff. Great game for London. This names, records. I feel like the international slate is getting a lot better, which is actually great to see. You know, we're going to see some good teams. It really helps with the Jags coming to London a lot, really helps that they are, they're just becoming more of a solid team year on year, which is good to see. So what do we say? Eagles have lost two straight now. They imploded on defense, you know. There was 10 points up and like the Rams just shut them out and they just look bad, don't they? If you take the Eagles kit away, what is this team? Saquon is out, like where's Saquon? Tank Bigsby's on IR, are they gonna have a running game? Then DeVonta Smith's out, so he's looking unlikely. What what does that say for the offense? mean, Hooper, this this Hooper guy stepped up. Mckayle Lemon hasn't stepped up. So there's not much to say about Philadelphia's offense. The defense is quite good. It's just not what it was. Again, they've got injuries born didn't play last week. The Jaguars though, they keep rolling. I'm loving the balance of this Jaguars team. They can throw it, they can run it. Brian Robertson Jr. scoring. And then you've got what you've got Christian Rodriguez contributing and scoring touchdowns in the running game. You've got the horse boy himself. He is rolling on through these teams. They lost to a Denver Broncos team away at mile high or whatever it's called now. So like that's a hard place to go and win. This team looks like one of the best in the NFL to me. So I'm going with them. I'm going. with the Jacksonville Jacus in their home town of London. Jamie: London Town. we are we're locked. There you go. Liam: We're locked. Jamie: We're locked. The yeah, the Eagles, they they do look like they've imploded. They've only got I was just looking at their running back situation, they got Will Shipley, who has only got more than thirty-four yards in the game once in his three seasons in the NFL. just got rid of your center, your only third choice running back, Jalen Hurts hasn't really got anything to throw to. Your defence has given up points. It's a hard sell, isn't it? Yeah. You'd have to be a really strong Eagles fan to give yourself a chance. But yeah, it's Jaguars all the way. And it's it's strange, I don't think the actual the slate obviously the teams haven't improved coming to London like in names wise, but like the actual teams themselves have improved. Like in terms of like Jaguars have been here for years, so like they've as you said, they've just Liam Cohen's got cooking. Obviously they were cooking under Blake Baldwers for a season as well, but but yeah. They're they're looking like a like a false, I think they see they could be a they could be a top three Super Bowl contender. Liam: They could be. And then just say, yeah, Jag's favoured by 6.5 points. So lovely. Jamie, we're on to the next one. And it's the Vikings at the Saints. Vikings favoured by 1.5 points. Jamie: Disagree. I'm I'm going thralled watch Minnesota Vikings. They clearly they haven't got an offense outside of JJ, right? Kyler Murray just for some reason just he's not a man to stand in the pocket, throw the ball, he needs to run around. And when he does, like the last couple of games, he I mean he's struggled against the Dolphins defence and you know the Liam: They scored four field goals against the Dolphins defense. Wow. Jamie: Yeah, there's two so they've won obviously four out of they've won four they're four and Two of the games they've won, they haven't scored a touchdown in the Minnesota Vikings. And so it's shout out to Brian Flores. You know, Leo's favourite. What a bloke. Liam: Mate, Brian Flores, my man. Jamie: We've got to mention him every single pot I think, but he he is cooking on defence. But c how long can Brian Flores carry this Vikings team, right, to wins. Is he gonna go to the dome? and win. I've s I've just seen the Falcons demolish you know, on Monday night football. They come I mean do you know what it's r it's a strange it's a strange game. Liam: Saints on a downturn, the Saints on a downturn. Agree, it's a strange game. I think this Brian Flores defense is also going to come out and smash. I think it's going to blitz. I think he's going to take down. just think the unit is going to be too much for the Saints. The Saints have just been competitive, but I look back on what I thought was an amazing Saints performance against the Lions. That doesn't look so good now. Right. And I think you put it in that context. Now the Falcons have turned up looking like the best team in the NFC South. Sad faces all around. Like, I don't know. Let's see what this Saints team are. I mean, they haven't got a stellar record. So I think, I think the Vikings are going to roll on to five and I'm going to lock the Vikings. So who you going? We're not locked. Jamie: We're not locked. I'm going Saints. I Liam: Wow. Jamie: yeah, I'm I I've just got a feeling that they he's carried like Bryant, you know, this defence has carried him for four games. I think there's gotta be there's gotta be a time where they just don't have it. Tyler Shuck's gotta prove himself again, I feel like. and Liam: Yeah. Jamie: I think that Vele is gonna have a good game as well. Liam: Velle. Also, mean, Justin Jefferson want to watch. It makes a big difference if he's going to be in the game or not. Regardless of if you even throw him the ball, he's going to stretch the field. So let's just see if Justin Jefferson plays want to watch on your fantasy. yeah, we're not locked. Jamie, what's happened to us this week? Usually, Jamie: I know. Liam: usually we're in basically full lockstep. So cool. Right. Onto the next one. the Giants, the big, beautiful New York Giants. the big blues against the Washington commanders. Another team that I do like. The commanders are favorites by 3.5. Jamie: How? Liam: I don't know. Let's, this is going into, this is bet 365 odds in the UK as of the day of filming, which is Wednesday the 7th. So the commanders are 3.5 favorites. Looking at that line, let's wing it this way. The commanders are hoping to get Daniels back at quarterback. If that's the case, you still got Terry McLaren, Stefan Diggs, Kroski Mary has not had a, he's not been stellar, but he's been solid in the running game and Rashad White from the books. So you can start to piece something together there on offense with a high end, with a high end quarterback. Yes, he did his elbow. Not his throwing arm. The defense again, they showed up against the Seahawks, which I think That's gonna just be lingering in some people's minds, no matter what else you think. Jamie: Still th thirty one points though, still, no. Liam: yeah. Yeah, agree. But they get that they got the takeaways. And now you flip Jamie: They did get they got the yeah, they got the takeaways that they needed them, yeah. Liam: it to the other side. New York Giants. I think this is a legit defense, right? It's a hardball team that is a they play physical. They've got some big old boys. They're getting interceptions. The goal line stand at the end of last week, Jamie, when they flew me on the helicopter VIP to watch that. Watch that pitch side. The atmosphere was unreal. Four passes defended. And you know what? Go for a sec and sling it. James Winston, he's gonna give three and have two taken away. So I think this game... And watch that man on social media, because he is just great. But I think this game is gonna be down to James Winston. He can win this game. He'll throw for three touchdowns in this game. but will he throw four interceptions? That is the problem. Most Jamie: Most likely, yeah. Liam: likely. All being said, I'm gonna go with the New York Giants. Jamie: We're locked. I'm also going for the New York Giants. I just don't it really does depend on this quarterback situation for the commanders and because we just don't know and I know what's starting for the Giants, you've just you've just got back Liam: Yeah. Jamie: the Giants, haven't you, in this one? Liam: Got to back the Giants. And I think the longer we don't see JJ McCarthy, I get that there's some hype for no reason, in my opinion. He does have Jamie: Yeah. Liam: a winning record, but the longer that we don't see JJ McCarthy means that Big Blue are on a good positive role. So I think even for the fans, however hype they are, the longer you don't see him, the longer it's going right for you. So awesome. On to the next game. And that is the Texans at the Titans with you, Jamie. Jamie: Here we go. Norton four against Norton four. AFC South battle. Maybe the AFC South could be worst division in football. Cam Wald is at home. Can he get a win? He's currently he's fallen to three and eighteen as a starter to start his NFL career. Poor bloke. Texans have started this as a seven point favourite as well coming into this one. With Nico Collins back. Finally, CJ Strauss got someone to throw to. Joey's the f I think he's the first I not I think I stat stat that. He is the first quarter he's the he's the Liam: that. Jamie: first quarterback to be Norton 4, not throw one interception. Which is Liam: Really? Jamie: yeah, there you go. There you go. so you know, just having one weapon back against his Titans team, right? The running game sh Montgomery surely's gotta come good for the Texans eventually. But again, they they slapped thirty on the Cowboys and they didn't need a running game. So I think the Texans win this one. and I I just think the Titans they're we've already forked really early doors, so pff they're pff they're gonna be Norton five come Sunday. Liam: Yeah, I mean, I've not got much to say on this one. It's not, it's not top of my list to watch. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: that way, Nico Colling is going to do some bits. I don't know. We'll see. I just think, I don't even know what happens because even if, even if both these teams went undefeated, what do you do? Do you get a new quarterback? I don't think, I don't know if either, Jamie: Thing is you Liam: do either of these teams like their quarterbacks? Jamie: think CJ Stroud you do, right? You keep CJ Stroud I don't think no, you keep, yeah, yeah. You keep CJ Liam: You think you get a new one? you keep? Hmm. Jamie: Stroud. 'Cause he he's putting up yardage, he is he is getting there. Obviously their their defence is legit as well. Liam: Yeah, to be fair, they scored, they scored. And Jamie: Yeah. Liam: we keep saying they're a legit defense, Jamie, are they? Jamie: No. Liam: Mate, if my team puts up 30 points, am I hoping Jamie: Yeah. Liam: to win a game? Jamie: But I mean, so York's put up thirty and they still lost the commanders, didn't they? We're meant to these meant to be two elite defenses. Maybe the Texans are easy easy top five, right, defence wise, but you know. How many points has CJ Stroud got to score to win the game? Liam: Sim- okay. Tell you what, I am gonna lock with you. I'm going with the Texans. And you know what? I'd take the over on the 7.5 points as well. Jamie: Yeah, I think so. Liam: Cool. Onto the next one. And it's the Bengals at the Dolphins. Bengals favored by 7.5 points. If you asked me, is this as much of an advantage as the Texans over the Titans? for the same odds. say this is more. So I'm spoiler alert. I'm taking the Bengals over the Dolphins off the bat. This Dolphins team is showing some fight, but I don't really think it's got off off got up off the mat. And I don't think it's got enough talent. This Bengals team has a defense and it has an offense. I think it's just come up against a couple of tough matchups that haven't been favorable to them. I think they've proven they're not an elite team there this year. However, The Bengals did lose Chase and Higgins in the last match. Chase Brown ended up being the top receiver after they went off. So I think the question mark is, Chase and T Higgins going to be playing in this game? Maybe that's why it's not more of a favorite. If they're in the game, there's no question about it. Even if they're out though, I see... Even if they're out, can't see the, I just can't see the Dolphins win. I can't see the Dolphins win the match at the minute. Jamie. Jamie: I can't either. I've just had a quick look. Jamar Chase still in concussion protocol as of Wednesday, practice. and T Higgins has practised today but he's limited, so you'd expect T. Higgins to play and probably Jamar Chase to be a decision game day. but do you know what? I don't think they even need but he's not out, so Liam: But he's not out, I mean, I don't know when they call this, but... Jamie: yeah, exactly. So he's he's not out, so you would expect him to play some snaps and realistically if you've only got T. Higgins against his Dolphins defence, I still fancy you'd win. And like you say, Liam: Yes. Jamie: Chase Brown's a fantastic piece as well for Joe Burrow to have. So Liam: He's a fantastic piece. but you know what as well? mean, losing to Cincinnati, like Cincinnati losing to Jacksonville is not, we both love the Jacksonville Jaguars in terms of we look, we think they're performing really well. Maybe I'll have another team, but like, I think it's no shame at the minute losing to them. I don't think people are going, wow, what a loss. So they're a legit team and I just expect them to get a win this week. So we're locked. Okay. Onto the next one, Jamie. And it is, it is the Browns at Jamie's Secret Love of His Secret Jets. And the Jets are favoured by 2.5 points at home in New York. Jamie: The Jets are favourites. Liam: The Jets are favourites. Jamie: I'm surprised by that. That that I I think Liam: Shout out to bet365 as usual. That's who we get our runs from. Jamie: I I am very surprised but I think it's it's getting warm, isn't it, now for Aaron Glenn. Like that's so you think, how much longer is he is he expected how many games I reckon I mean, how many games is he meant to win this season? Like maybe five, like what we'll be saying, seven. Liam: See, I don't think they want to win. I think they're doing the best. I think they're to be the best team that a quarterback might want to go to. Jamie: Yeah. They get I mean yeah. Liam: You see what I mean? Like, I don't think it's a bad thing them playing in this way for the fan base. They're showing some fight and they're not winning. Jamie: Well y yeah, that is the is the Jets though, isn't it? They they but they they have improved. Like normally you would be like I mean, if you think about it, Browns Jets game, you think, tragic. Never not gonna watch that. It's actually gonna be quite I think it's gonna be quite an entertaining game. Obviously for the Jets, I mean, they got absolutely dominated by the by the Bears last week, so and but they only gave up twenty three to to twelve points, so they should do better against the Browns. I just the thing is, right, so that the running game that the Jets are currently got obviously Brees Hall's out, so was it Braylon, Allen or something like that? He got he didn't get over sixty rushing yards last week, and that was against the Bears defen rush defence, and it's not that good. Against this dominant Browns front, the Jets are gonna have to throw it, and Gino's gonna have to be on it, I think, to get anything out of this. But this is mental. We're in week five, and I'm gonna say I can't see the Browns losing. This game. Liam: Who you going for, Jamie? Jamie: The Cleveland Browns. It's the first time I've backed all season, which means they're probably gonna lose. Liam: We're not in lockstep, mate. I am going for those New York Jets. Like James said Jamie: Time for the odds. Liam: last week, no, like James said last episode, we're gonna see him take off. I just, I think the Jets are okay. And you know, I just can't buy into this. I'm not having it. Okay? That's not what's happening. So, come on. On to the next one. And it is the Raiders, the Raiders at the Patriots. And the Patriots are favored by 3.5 points. So it's with me. Interesting odds. I think this is a good time Raiders team. I think if you're a fan of them, you're buzzing about what's happening in the minute. Drake may found found his feet again last week. You know, I think he needed my variable, Mike, variable reference it a bit. He needed to just find a bit of confidence in who he's passing to and just get on a little bit of a run. So I'd like to see him continue that in Boston. I think it's a good home field to be playing that as well. That being said, this Raiders team has showed up in every single game and they look good against the chiefs who The Chiefs and the 49ers, one of those two probably are the best team in the league at the minute and like who wants to bet against, you know, who, who's betting against Patrick at home. So the Raiders really showed up. Kirk Cousins is just, he's just looking like the man. Brock Bowers and Myers, that tight end game coming out for the Raiders. This one I'm a little bit torn on. This is a hard, it's a hard one. I'm just really loving Jamie: What Liam: everything about the raid, is it the minute Jamie? But, straight May in the Patriots. Jamie: I know, but Doobes. Liam: Doos. Jamie: Doobes is back, you know, he's catching touchdowns. You've got what's his name, Chisholm with the with the Do you know what? rewatching the highlights of the Patriots game, some of the catches had to be phenomenal to to beat the Bills, right? So like two two of their touchdowns were unbelievable catches, right? At the start of the season, if you t if you go what do you think Ray's Patriots gonna be in week five, you p Patriots by like twenty? But like fifteen twenty, you know. And I I I c I I I can't not back the Patriots at home. They've already torn apart the Steelers. and you think that I mean that was without Christian Gonzalez last week against Josh Allen, right? So you think i if he's back this week against Kirko chains though, slinging it. He's tough. 'Cause of the Liam: Maybe also, I don't think he would be covering Brock Bowers. Jamie: Or or my yeah, who do you cover? Yeah. Liam: or Myers and who'd you cover? Because then if you're just using him to cover Trey Tucker, or like, don't know if Besh is injured, who else? Like Jalen Naylor. No, Jalen Naylor should be in Concussion Protocol, but like, this is the point, who are you using him on? Probably Mark Jamie: Yeah. Liam: and his own, then you move them out. So like... know. So you're back in the Patriots. Jamie: I am back at the Patriots, yeah. Liam: I'm back in the Raiders. I'm there with them. Jamie: The Raiders nice. Liam: I thought you was with the Raiders this year, but... Jamie: I am I love Kirko chains. I I I think Ashton Genty's gotta work a bit harder. Liam: But you know what, I don't think that's a problem because I think, Jamie: But it's not. Yeah. Liam: yeah, yeah, the backup running back is in Washington. Let me have a quick look. it's back. It's Mike Washington, Jr. Thank you to the research team, AKA Liam, AKA Jamie. Yeah. So Mike Washington's he's pulling his way and that's what you have more than one running back. So I'm not too worried about it. I'm not, I don't think I wanted Gentie in the first round in fantasy, but Again, I mean, who else would you have? Well, you could have had Jaxxas with and Jigba probably, but I mean, yeah, I'm going with the Raiders. So yeah, on to the next one. And that is with you, Jamie. It is the two and two Colts at the two and two Steelers. Steelers are favoured by 2.5 points. Thank you again, Bet365. Jamie: think I'm going against the odds again. I I so there's something about the c do you know what? Danny dimes look good against the commanders. and I th and Jonathan Taylor did pull his weight for probably for the second time this season, the first four weeks. I think the Steelers defence they're so focused on their pass rush, obviously like T J Watt and and all that, that I think the running games where they're going to exploit this week, right, for the Colts and I think Jonathan Taylor got what, one hundred and twenty rushing yards, two touchdowns last week. I'm backing him for another hundred plus on the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I'm gonna go with the Indianapolis Colts to win, to go three and two, and the Steelers to fall. Back to back losses at home. Two and three. There's gonna be more swearing on the side. I think that's that's my that's my thing for me, right? When you s when I already see a team, I've got TJ Watt with a headset on, moaning about people upstairs with their play calls, right? Against the Browns. And if you're losing and then obviously Roger's having a go as well and I just love it. And th they seem to have implod they yeah, they've Liam: coming apart the seams. Yeah. Jamie: imploded within four weeks. Like Liam: Yes. No, I don't disagree. So, I mean, I don't think we need to talk about this game too much. Another one I'm not super buzzed to watch. I'm not plugging into this one specifically. Rico Dowdell might be making a bit of an impact with a bit of a return. So that might be leading in Pittsburgh's favor. I just think, I don't know, there might be just a little bit more there on the offense for the Colts. Again, not spectacular. But I'm in lockstep with you, Jamie. We're locked. And I'm also going to go with the Colts for an upset So, to summarize, Thursday night football, I'm going with the Buccaneers and Jamie is going with the Dallas Cowboys. So this is a great week for us not agreeing. That being said, the early kickoff in the London game, we're both locking the Jags. In the early kickoff window, I'm going with the Vikings to beat the Saints who Jamie is backing. We are both backing. the New York Giants to beat the Commanders. We are both backing the Texans. We are both backing the Bengals. I'm backing the Jets, whilst Jamie is backing the Browns to win in Cleveland. In New England, Jamie's backing the Pats, and I am backing the Raiders. And we are both backing the Colts to beat the Steelers. Awesome. So, into the late window. And that is going to be with me. And it is the Broncos at the Chargers. The Broncos favored by 3.5 points. And I'm going to start there. 3.5 points seems ridiculous to me. The Broncos are away and they haven't won away, which might weigh into that. But the Chargers are abysmal. Let's not beat around the bush. Justin Herbert. like I think James said it, he's the man that could be he looks like he can do everything but when has he ever done it? That's what James said and it rung so true with me. I also love I talk about James like he's a myth and a fable but we had him on the last pod go back and listen. The charges I don't feel like are going to muster much against I mean a Broncos defense which I don't know. Satan went out the last game. So we'll see what he's saying, but they haven't got lad McConkey and does this, does this offense work without lad McConkey? They also signed Charlie Cola, Cola in the off season. Who's a blocking tight end. Like Ammar and Hampton hasn't kicked off in, like he's the top two round. He's gone by the end of the, by the mid second round. Like he's not kicked off in the way I think that people have hoped. So I don't know. I can't see how that. how the odds are that stacked except for the Broncos haven't won away from home yet. And the charges are at home. And they, I mean, they got a garbage time score at Seattle to make it better than it was. So yeah, I'm going to go with the Broncos. Jamie: We're locked on this one. one of my favourite stats during the week. So only one quarterback has done all of the following in each of his team's first four games of a season, right? So obviously he's lost every single game, tick for Justin Herbert. touchdown to interception ratio of one or lower. he's done that as well in every single game. under two hundred and fifty passing yards in every single game, Justin Herbert. And he's also been sacked plus one every single sorry, he's been sacked at least once every single game. So congratulations to Justin Herbert on on stat that. Liam: Cool. So, on to the next one. Jamie, it's the Lions at the Cardinals. Sorry to quickly interject. Jamie: Wow. go on. Liam: The Lions are favoured by 5.5 points. Jamie: That is mental, by the way. That is absolutely crazy. spoiler, I'm g straight off the bat. I'm going for the Cardinals to win this game. Okay. we are Liam: Me too, me too! Jamie: nice. Love that. Right. I haven't watched the Lions now, so I thought, right, their windows shut. They're they're f they're not the super window, you know that you have teams that have that moment and they're secondary on defence is historic like it looks one of the worst I've ever seen. Obviously you got Aidan Hutchinson. If you keep the ball away from him and you you put two on him, whatever, you win you go you win the game, realistically. You keep it away, you stop him from making plays, more than likely you're gonna win the game, right? And that's what happened on Sunday night football. Bryce Young was dissecting him like anything. And you've got Jacob Brissette for for the Cardinals. I know he got incepted against the Giants, but the Giants secondary especially well There and linebackers as well are so much better than what the Lions have got. Right? Yeah. Liam: They are, they are. That's the difference. The Lions don't have any defense. They don't, Jamie: Nothing. Liam: I don't think until they can solve this, anybody that can pass the ball, specifically pass rather than run, they're going to, they're going to put up points. I don't know. There's something, there's something, you know, there's some new blue cats in town and they ain't Lions, they're Panthers. Jamie: Yeah, yeah. Thank you, I'll take that, you know. Liam: I, okay, I brought it up first, you know, but, what's it called? In Arizona, the Cardinals have actually played some pretty tough teams. And I think that might be going a bit, that might be going a little bit under the radar. So, I mean, questionable, Jeremiah Love might be a bit injured. He's question, he's questionable. I don't know. I haven't seen much about that. It's just something that Jamie: Yeah. Liam: got flagged to me earlier. So yeah, I think, dunno, I'm gonna, I mean, Even if you're back in the Lions, I'd take the under on the 5.5. Jamie: Yeah. One hundred percent. Liam: But yeah, I do think it'd be quite a high scoring game though. Jamie: Yeah, it it I but I've got faith this is mental. I've got faith in the Arizona Cardinals defence to make more plays than I do the Lions defence. and w we're week five the NFL season and I'm basically I'm I'm I'm I'm discounting the lines from any NFL playoff chat right now. Like they're they're they're not part of it, right? And you see Liam: Well maybe Jamie needs to fork them later. Jamie: I might have to I might I've talked myself into it. They're even they weren't even on my radar and I've just started just talking about them and now I th I'm I've seen live and like the Saints beat them. sorry, Liam: Yeah? Jamie: the Saints shoulda beat them, sorry. Saints should have beat them. And you think like pff maybe the lines aren't very good. Liam: And it is the Fine Wine 49ers at the real ospreys. Will you please stand up? The Seattle Seahawks. So, good game. Good game for a non-primetime game, first of all. Undefeated 49ers and the Seahawks had a very weird game against the Commanders where they started their backup quarterback. Quite a lot of turnovers. and the commanders went on a heater. to me is the most exciting game of the week. If I'm being honest, it's always good. Nick Bose is doubtful for the game. Cool. I think the Seahawks look good if they stop it with the turnovers. They are moving the ball. Emmanuel Wilson has stepped up like no one's talked about Emmanuel Wilson before the season, like the old Green Bay running back, like, you know, who was just like a bit of used chop liver. A bit of used chop liver. yeah, think JSN, are the 49ers going to stop him? That being said, they've got Fred Warner, they're undefeated against some good teams. They're battle tested and this is a division rivalry. These teams don't like each other. And the Seahawks won the Super Bowl last year. That being said, I do think the Seahawks are going to have the fire because this is one of the undefeated teams and it's in their division. So the Seahawks are favored by three. It's at home in Seattle. I just think it's going to be a great match to watch. It's going to be a tense affair, offense and defense on both sides. Judge, you know what? George Kiddles looked on fire there, Debo Samuels looked revitalised, Mike Evans when he's on the pitch looking revitalised. trying think. Carl Hughes check his out. Not helpful again. I don't know, this 49ers teams has looked undoubtable, but I'm going to go with the Seattle Seahawks. At home, defence in big games and big moments. This is what they're built for. I'm going with the Seattle Seahawks. Jamie: We we are locked, right? I'm Liam: Hoo hoo! Jamie: so th th this is gonna sound really weird. I think the Forty Niners are the best team in the NFL right now, right? Liam: Until next week. Sorry, carry on. Jamie: I yeah. Yeah pretty much, yeah. So like in my power rankings, you know, forty nine is the top, right? Undoubtedly they've beaten other playoff contenders, so you loves they beat the Broncos, they're looking good, Rams, they wipe the floor with them. So you think like pff If they'd go to Seattle and win, that's that is the statement being like come catch us Chiefs, basically, right? And it's but I'm go I'm back in the Seahawks I think at home It's just something about these these ospreys, you know, that they might they're gonna they're gonna I think they've just got they division rival at home, I know it's not obviously a prime time game, but it's gonna feel like a it's gonna feel like a big occasion game, right? And I and I th they pff I it's gonna be good. Liam: yeah. That place is gonna be rocking. That place is gonna be rocking. Jamie: It's gonna atmosphere's gonna be unbelievable. So I am I'm gonna Liam: I'll take them on three points as well. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. It's gonna be close. Liam: Hey, looks like in the late slate we like to agree. Cool. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: On to the next one. Jamie, you're going to cover the best at the packers. Jamie: NFC North rivalry, right? You've got Bayesian looking good with the co they they squeeze the life out of those Jets, right? The the Packers they did they tried to give the Bucs their first win. They tried everything. They tried fumbling, they tried inception, they tried everything they could for the Bucs to win, and the Bucs still couldn't get their win. and the Packers somehow yeah I mean the Packers win this season. Just squeezing past the Jets in overtime, scraping past you know, a Norton four Bucks team that look that look on the you know, on the floor. You know, they're on the canvas. The clock the the bell that the the the ref's counting, he's already at nine. They're still on the floor. And the and they scrape past Liam: Okay. Jamie: them. And you know, and I think the Bears are gonna wipe the floor with Green Bay. They're gonna start they're gonna grate in their cheese heads. god it's gonna be glorious. Right. Ben Johnson's gonna take his top off again and say how about those Bears in the locker room after this game? So it's do you know what? Liam: Do any, come on, do your impression. Don't take your top off. Of the, of the, how about those bears, come on. Jamie: No. but if they win, if they win I will. There you go. And Yeah well or both. follow us on watch us on YouTube, I guess. for Liam: Hard, perfect. That's all I want to say. Here, not see. Whoa. Yeah. Jamie: that one. But I I think Mon guy is picking up pace for the Bears, I think he's looking really good and there's something about these Bears, you know, that they've used three quarterbacks this season, obviously, and they just they haven't missed a beat really, have they? Like and that that's annoyingly scary for the rest of the NFL that they could be a con they could be a contender and I think they're gonna go to Green Bay and win. Liam: Yeah, there could be contender without not much to say from me. I'm also going with the Bears. You know, Green Bay haven't shown much. Tell you what, Green Bay, beat your rivals at home. We're going to start to believe with you. My only thing about this game, the Bears are only favored by 2.5 points. I think that's reflective of the quarterback situation. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: anyway, and on to the next one. the Ravens at the Falcons. Jamie: Love it. Sunday night football, burdoff. I well I think we Liam: So had the cats, sorry, we had the cats off last week and now we've the birds off Jamie: Yeah. Liam: this week. you know what? I actually didn't prepare a bird fact this week, except for maybe Jamie: Well, shall we Liam: Jamie, a group of crows. Do know what they are? Jamie: What's that? Liam: A murder of crows. You must know that. Come on, man. You must have heard of that. Jamie: So can we discuss this this fact about the Ravens on being a crow? Are we gonna dis we gonna talk about that fact that we l nah okay. We'll get James on in on that 'cause yeah. Liam: Now we'll come back to that in the review show, Jamie. Here you go though. Sorry, I'll interrupt you, Flo, but the Falcons are favoured by three points. Jamie: know what? I'm not surprised. The first two weeks is it's like two different teams. Like i there was a few seasons ago where the Saints scored like sixty odd points in one game and like forty the next, with Derek Carr as quarterback in the first couple of games you think like pfft Stormer. The Falcons have done the opposite, right? They've looked like the worst team bar, you know, of couple, in the NFL, right? And then they've just realised the last two weeks like, we've got we've got a guy called Bijan Robinson. we've got a geezer called Drake London. I'm thinking if we get these players the ball, we actually might win some games. Like Liam: the Bucks current offensive coordinator, Zach Robinson, isn't our offensive coach anymore. We can use our best players. Whoa. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. Who'd have thought that? but Carl Pitts? Ha absolutely Liam: Not him. Jamie: not, mate. Sit on the bench. You get one snap and you're on the bench, mate. That's all you're gonna get. It's mental. Liam: It's, that is actually crazy, by the way. It is actually crazy. But Pennex Jr. I don't think I thought, I don't think I thought, I don't think I thought he had this in him. Jamie: things I've seen him play the Panthers where he's like we beat him at thirty naught at at the Bank of America like he he threw a pick six and he looked dreadful, right? And then you look you look at the last two games and he's orchestrating, he's he just he looks the real deal and and yeah I Liam: Yeah. And then I mean, on the other side, Lamar Lamar might be out. He's questionable. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Looks like it might be like some sort of like high ankle collar sprain. If Lamar doesn't play, that might be one Jamie: Snoop. Liam: of the Falcons' favourites. I mean, who are you going with, Jamie? Jamie: Going for the Falcon. Liam: Oh-ho-ho! Jamie: I don't like it. Liam: Jamie loves Falcons, doesn't he? Wow. I'm gonna go with the Baltimore Ravens. Jamie: Nice. See, do you know what? You've backed the Ravens every single week as the fourth and teed team and I've gone against the R I've gone against them twice. Liam: I have. As the four foot TT. Yeah, no, you have. Do know why? Sometimes. An old bird has got to show a young Jamie: Mm. Liam: bird who's the boss. And I think Derek Henry needs to have a statement game. And you know what? Jamie: Mm. Liam: We're going to see what wins in a fight, a raven or a falcon. And I'm going to go with King Derek. So yeah. Jamie: New new yeah, new sensor as well. So could be interesting. Liam: new centre as well. Awesome, on to the next one. Monday Night Football and it is the Buffalo Bills at the LA Rams in SoFi Stadium and the Rams are favoured by 2.5 points. LA Rams, your defense showed up without Miles Garrett and without Aaron Donald. I think that is really promising if you're a Rams fan to see. Kieron Williams, he is also showing up. You've got a running game. So, you know, I think you're a good way there. What hasn't translated this year is I don't, yes, there's a lot of injuries and I are on the Rams past catcher's position. So like some tight ends out, you've got like Puka Naku has not been about. So, but Matt Stafford hasn't looked like Matt Stafford over the last couple of years. He hasn't looked like MVP Matt Stafford. The Buffalo Bills, I think you've been brought back down to earth in a way losing to New England. Yes, Drake May stepped up and looked like last year's Drake May. But like we said, the Bills looked otherworldly in the first two weeks, undeniably the best team in the league. And were they just complacent or what? I think this is going to be a really good test. Actually, this is, this is a really good game, really good Monday Note football. Josh Allen, think, needs to be able to have an outlet. Like we said, it needs to not all be about Josh Allen. I don't know about that. don't know. Without DJ Moore, I don't think Cook, even though Cook was like the rushing leader last year, that he is as important as like a Derek Henry or like a B. John Robinson. No matter how good the stats are, he just doesn't take over games in the same way. So Josh Allen needs to find some other reliable outlet. DJ Moore has looked good, but he might be injured again. All that being said, think this is going to be a, you know, might stay up for this one. Spoilers. you Jamie: Ooh. Liam: know, but you know what? I love to bag on the Rams, but I, at the minute this Bills defense, I don't know, is a championship level defense by itself. This offense needs to support Josh Haddon a little bit more and the Rams are ascending. And I think they need, I think they want to put down a statement. Monday night football at home against the Bills is a statement. I'm going with the rams. Jamie: We're locked to cap off the previews. I mean, yeah it's a wit Liam: Locked. Jamie: yeah, it's a strange one because you think like after five weeks we're gonna be saying the bills are two and three. The super bills. They have to win. Liam: No, there'd be three and two. If they lost. Jamie: Was A B? lost the yeah, do you know what? Do you know because their performance against the Chargers was so bad in with five turnovers that in my head I'm like basically a loss. You made the game against the Chargers competitive, right? Liam: Mm-hmm. Jamie: And then at home again to Drake May B, who's been, you know, awful this season, until that game, obviously we let him have that. And then you think Rams away. That momentum the Rams have got after the Eagles come back, carrying that into Monday night football at home. Yeah, you gotta go Rams, haven't you? Liam: Let's go. Let's see what the rams turn up with. Awesome. That is the end of our week five previews to cover the second half of games that we covered. So in the late slate, we've both gone for the Broncos to win, both gone for the Cardinals to win, and both gone for the Seahawks to win against the fine wine 49ers. We've then, sorry. Nearly missed the Bears again, but we've both gone for the Bears to win. After that, we've gone for, I've gone for Baltimore to beat the Atlanta Falcons, who Jamie is backing in Sunday Night Football. And we've both gone for the Rams to beat the Buffalo Bills in Monday Night Football. Awesome. Onto the next one. And it's our Wild Takes of the Week. Jamie, what have you got? Jamie: This is wild, guys. I am predicting a Norton four team to win a game this week. I know. Can you believe it? only because it's the Texans and Titans and someone has to win, please guys. If that goes to a tie then I give up with these wild takes, but yeah, that that is that's all I've got this week. Liam: Jamie, Jamie, you, this is, this is, you've got a lack of confidence because of Survivor, mate. That's all it is. That's all it is. Jamie: god. Liam: Right. I'm, my wild take of the week is not only am going to predict the Bucks to win, wild in itself, I'm doing that anti-spread. The rookie is going to go into Dallas. They're going to get two turnovers. And that means that they are going to beat the Cowboys spread. They're going to win by eight or more points. Thank you. Jamie: Bucks are gonna win by eight or more points. Liam: Yeah. Jamie: That is that is a wild take. Liam: Thank you, Jamie. It's better than your wild take of... I don't even know what that was. That was weak. But yeah, wild or weak, it's not... Jamie: That was wild. Liam: Maybe we'll have to change it to wild, but not weak take of the week. So yeah, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: cool. Next, fantasy players to avoid in game week five. So we'll start off with, I'm avoiding using Bejel Tutin. Christian Rodriguez, he's getting more of the pie. He's showing up scoring touchdowns. Him and Liam Cohen have a past. For me, the joy is out on Bejel to and I'm like, I want to see. I just want to see a little bit. I'm not, starting in, but he's definitely notched down to my flex position and we'll see. There's not a lot of running backs out there to be had, but I'm trying to get Christian Rodriguez as a handcuff if I've got him. And if one of them goes down, obviously that's different, but at the minute that's turning into more of a split backfield than I think people hoped. So yeah, that's my first one. Jamie: I do know what, it's the same sort of theme. So Bucky Irving, obviously for the Bucks. So like that he's he started off the season with a lot obviously getting a lot of carries and he's been used quite a lot, but now just we as weeks go by and by and I guess the Bucks are getting desperately trying to find some solutions to win a game, though they've just gone to gain well more and more. and I think he seems to be the man for them, right now to to pound that rock for the for the Buccaneers, Liam: I Jamie: so Liam: mean, he was the Steelers player, players player last year. I mean, he's a popular Jamie: Yeah. Liam: guy. So nice. I was going to go with another one and it's going to be Brian Robinson on the Falcons. Yes, he was like a top five running back last week. I think I need a, before I even started, I'm a bit, maybe I'm a bit of a coward, but I can't trust that yet. And that's a one-off blip of a game. two running backs in half PPR over 20 points on the same team. That's wild. So maybe he gets traded and then he's like a number one running back, but you know, we'll see. So I'm also not starting Brian Robinson. Jamie: And also guys, please don't play anyone from the Chiefs or Panthers. They're both on a pie. If I if I come up I've already do you know what I checked one of my fantasy teams or leagues I'm in and the guy's got like he's got like obviously Mahomes, he's got Kenneth Walker, he's got like Jalen Coker, I'm like, dude, please make it competitive. Liam: Yeah, absolute win. Awesome. Go on to the Forkum section. So, so far, the teams we've thrown on the Forkum pile who are not making the playoffs, early shout still in the season, we are starting to get more controversial though. But so far, we've got the Browns, which might not be looking good, which we did before week one. We got the Titans, we got the Dolphins, and we got the Chargers. We're saying none of these teams are to make it to the playoffs. This week, Jamie, who are you nominating for the Forkum? Jamie: So w we've discussed this pre show up we had we had teams, right? But during the show I've talked myself into one and it and it's it's the Liam: Ho ho! Jamie: Detroit Lions. I just you can't be just I mean they through four games gave have given up historically the most yards ever. Like that level of horrific. So I've I've got have to put them I've got to put up for it. At le I've got to nominate them at least. Liam: Okay, Jamie, don't make me nominate the books. I feel like, so the other two tiers that we were discussing was the Texans and the Buccaneers. Jamie: Yeah. But the thing is with the we' w like more likely still the Bucks will could make the playoffs, right? In the it's the NFC South. That's it. Liam: You know what, because of the division, what is it? The top team's got two wins. Jamie: Good team so good team. Liam: Yeah, so right. But the top, you're only two wins away. Whereas, Jamie: Did two wins off, yeah. Liam: I mean, I mean, the, the lions are getting the same, but the Texans, the Texans have got the Jags and they're 0 and 4 down. So they're really Okay, on that debate, books versus Texans, I'm falling Texans purely because of how good the Jags look. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. Liam: okay. So now we're going to debate the Texans, the Houston Tech, which I can't believe the Houston Texans versus the Detroit Lions to go into the four compile. Jamie: Who would have thought that week five of the season? That is that is crazy, Liam: I mean, the thing is, Jamie: isn't it? Liam: if you've got at least an average offense, so what? That's 16 teams. You're probably going to beat the Lions unless they change something. Jamie: Yeah, they c yeah, they gotta make drastic changes that Liam: So anybody that wins, so anybody that's light is going to the baths would beat the Lions. Jamie: yeah, one hundred percent yeah. I think whoever gets the light if the Lions somehow make it, stumble in. I'm just having a look now, so so th the the fact it so naught obviously they're Norton four, Lions have got a win this season, so that's something for the Lions. But they are chasing the Bears and the Vikings and that's a they're already a f Liam: Okay, I better put it to you this way and this is the answer. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Who do you believe in more, the Texans defense or the Lions offense? You got two seconds to think about it. Jamie: Lines offense. Liam: Texans are forked. Bosh. How do you feel about that? Jamie: Okay, only because only one team has ever made the playoffs from Norton Four. Liam: Who was that? Do you know? That's... No? good job we fought them as well then. So yeah, Jamie: yeah. I know I do you know who it was? it's the Chargers. Liam: we'll keep squeezing that one in. Okay. And last segment of the day, we're onto the fourth and T survivor. Everyone standing ovation, Liam in survivor, going into week five, Liam. The survivor host himself is 2-0 because Jamie backed the Bills last week and I backed the Vikings, which means Jamie is in the pool and he's sinking. Jamie: I actually can't believe it. I so I I mean Liam: Neither can I, mate. Jamie: I backed what's it? I backed the Bucks to beat the Browns and I mean that looks horrific. And then the Bills at home against the Patriots, one and two Patriots at a time. My guys, what are we doing? Liam: Good stuff, isn't Jamie: Ha ha. Liam: it? So, this is the third Survivor Season for Forth and Tee, 2026 season. So, who you going with as your first week's team? Jamie: Go this is so silly. I'm going for the Dallas Cowboys to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. What can I say? I mean, y you think they're gonna win by eight points. You think they're gonna win a game? Yeah. Liam: I do so Jake going to be in the bin again. along with all the Forkum teams. Awesome. So I'm going to be going with, Ooh, let me have a quick think. It's a close one. I don't think that's a bad shout if you think the Cowboys are going to win. Obviously. I think the Texans to beat the Titans, I think he's going to be a team that's picked quite a lot. I also think that the Broncos are gonna be picked to beat the Chargers by quite a lot as well. That being said, I had to feel cheap doing this. Jamie: Mm. Liam: But I am picking the Cincinnati Bengals as my survivor team to beat the Dolphins. Jamie: I think you'd pick every team that plays against the Dolphins so far, wouldn't you? Liam: Tell you what. Jamie: But it's it's been working. No don't keep it. It works. It works. That's the point. Still time for a comeback. Liam: When you win, you could talk to the champ, Jamie. You know, so yeah. there is, there's always time for a comeback. So that being said, another great preview, mate. Thanks. Jamie: Yeah. We Liam: Think we've done it proper. Jamie: We it was the first time we've actually like like disagreed on multi more than one game. Liam: I don't, you know what, we're obviously all just missing, we're, yeah, we just, you know, we're finding our conflict, mate. We're finding our conflict. Jamie: I'm liking it. Yeah, yeah. Liam: Love the friction. So yeah, tell you what, looking forward to Survivor, but come on the Bucks, mate. Big Thursday night football win. Us, mate, Mystic Marshall, Mystic Meg is in the house. We're gonna get, mate, that's what we're getting. Bucks, big win. Jamie: I can I can't wait for Monday's show. This is it's gonna be super Liam: Cool. I mean, we get no obnoxious panthers comments because you know they're off. anyway, right. Jamie. no. Everybody, thank you for listening. The tea people. I don't know, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: the tea boys, the tea ladies, the tea people. Thank you for listening. Yeah, it's been another preview show. We release twice a week in the season. We're on Spotify, we're on Apple Music. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, all the good ones. We're a few other places. Like and subscribe. Thank you. Jamie, peace and love.
