- 0:32Speaker 4: I had the good pleasure of filling in for the
- 0:34Speaker 4: great one Mark Levin the other day. And something that
- 0:37Speaker 4: I want to talk about is the line separating good
- 0:40Speaker 4: and evil passes not through states, not between classes, nor
- 0:44Speaker 4: between political parties at all. but right through the heart
- 0:48Speaker 4: of every human being. What's up, America? I am Rich Valdez,
- 0:52Speaker 4: Valdez with an S, at Rich Valdez on all of
- 0:54Speaker 4: the social media. Welcome to the Friday Night Edition. Happy
- 0:57Speaker 4: to be here with you. It's truly a blessing. And
- 0:59Speaker 4: we're going to get into a number of things tonight.
- 1:02Speaker 4: By the way, some of you guys know me as Mr.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Call Screener from this show for many years, where I
- 1:06Speaker 4: was Mr. Call Screener, Richie V. And I'm working alongside
- 1:10Speaker 4: the great one and Rich Cementa. And I'm happy to
- 1:14Speaker 4: be back with all my Levinite family. It's always a pleasure.
- 1:17Speaker 4: And I want to, you know, while I'm going down
- 1:20Speaker 4: memory lane over here, I want to talk about a
- 1:22Speaker 4: couple of different things, right? I want to encourage you
- 1:24Speaker 4: to listen to my show, right? I do a show
- 1:26Speaker 4: called This Is America with Rich Valdez, and you can
- 1:29Speaker 4: find that wherever you get podcasts or wherever you stream
- 1:31Speaker 4: your stuff, and I'd appreciate that. And we're going to
- 1:33Speaker 4: talk tonight about a bunch of interesting stories about what's
- 1:37Speaker 4: going on in America at night, right? Tonight, what's happening
- 1:40Speaker 4: this evening? And there's a lot that's happened throughout the
- 1:44Speaker 4: week that we're going to recap, we're Plus, I want
- 1:46Speaker 4: to hear from each and every one of you, right?
- 1:48Speaker 4: The Levinites, my amigos, my familia. If you want to
- 1:51Speaker 4: join our national town hall conversation this evening, give me
- 1:58Speaker 4: a call.
- 2:00Speaker 5: 877-381-3811. 877-381-3811.
- 2:00Speaker 4: If you're a Lib and you want to have a
- 2:02Speaker 4: little discussion, I'm happy to do that as well. And
- 2:04Speaker 4: of course, I encourage you to follow me on all
- 2:07Speaker 4: of the social media at Rich Valdez with an S
- 2:09Speaker 4: at the end. Now, have you heard about this one?
- 2:12Speaker 4: This is a story I saw that I was like,
- 2:15Speaker 4: oh man, they're getting closer and closer to home with
- 2:17Speaker 4: the drug boats. A boat with 7,000 pounds worth of
- 2:22Speaker 4: cocaine was found off of the coast of Puerto Rico.
- 2:27Speaker 4: And I think it got blown up, but not before
- 2:30Speaker 4: they grabbed the good stuff. I think we have a
- 2:32Speaker 4: report on this one.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Mr.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Producer, go for it.
- 2:35Speaker 2: The U.S.
- 2:35Speaker 7: Coast Guard seized $ 54. 5 million worth of cocaine off the
- 2:39Speaker 7: coast of Puerto Rico. The agency captured a suspected drug
- 2:43Speaker 7: smuggling boat about 50 miles off the coast of the island.
- 2:46Speaker 7: More than 7,000 pounds of cocaine was on board there.
- 2:50Speaker 7: The Coast Guard blew up the boat. They say it
- 2:52Speaker 7: posed a navigation hazard. The five people on board were arrested.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Good Lord, that's a.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Lot of money.
- 2:59Speaker 4: And a lot of cocaine and a lot of everything else.
- 3:02Speaker 4: And this stuff is always going around, right? Around Colombia,
- 3:04Speaker 4: around Venezuela, all over the Caribbean. And, of course, 50
- 3:08Speaker 4: miles south of Puerto Rico, you're talking about right around
- 3:12Speaker 4: the Dominican Republic, not far from Cuba. And I can't
- 3:16Speaker 4: help but think to myself, this stuff seems to be
- 3:18Speaker 4: getting closer and closer to the U.S. mainland. So kudos
- 3:21Speaker 4: to President Trump, who I've nicknamed El Trumpito de Naldes Magnus,
- 3:26Speaker 4: the 45th and 47th president of these United States. because
- 3:29Speaker 4: he does a great job at making sure that these
- 3:31Speaker 4: things get interdicted and that, you know, they destroy these boats.
- 3:36Speaker 4: And that's what happened in this scenario. But speaking of
- 3:39Speaker 4: Puerto Rico, as many of you guys know, who've listened
- 3:42Speaker 4: to my show in the past, if it's your first time,
- 3:44Speaker 4: you know, bienvenido, welcome. My parents are born in Puerto Rico,
- 3:48Speaker 4: and I was born in Brooklyn, New York. And I
- 3:51Speaker 4: expect to be in Puerto Rico really soon. So I'll
- 3:53Speaker 4: let you know if I see any drug boats while I'm,
- 3:56Speaker 4: you know, visiting San Juan. But A couple of months back,
- 3:59Speaker 4: I'd met with the governor of Puerto Rico at a
- 4:02Speaker 4: fundraiser in Teaneck, New Jersey. Shout out to the governor,
- 4:06Speaker 4: Jennifer Gonzalez-Colón. And she's facing a lot of backlash right now.
- 4:10Speaker 4: A lot of things happening in Puerto Rico. Their water
- 4:12Speaker 4: is all jacked up. Not all, I should say, right?
- 4:16Speaker 4: I think 90 some odd percent of the island has
- 4:19Speaker 4: water and it's working perfectly fine. And there's a small
- 4:21Speaker 4: percentage of the island that doesn't. And taking a lot
- 4:25Speaker 4: of heat. But anyway. That's not really the point I
- 4:27Speaker 4: was making. That was a ADHD digression. The story here
- 4:31Speaker 4: is I was thinking of Puerto Rico and I'm going
- 4:33Speaker 4: to be in Puerto Rico next week because I'm on
- 4:34Speaker 4: vacation this week. But when the great one Mark Levin
- 4:36Speaker 4: calls and says, hey, Richie, can you do the show tonight?
- 4:40Speaker 4: I say, absolutely, sir.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 4:41Speaker 4: No problemo. So I'm happy to do it. But I
- 4:44Speaker 4: brought up the governor because I saw this story. And
- 4:47Speaker 4: if the governor, if you're listening, Madame Gobernadora, please. She
- 4:51Speaker 4: had invited me to. to be her guest at the
- 4:54Speaker 4: governor's mansion in Puerto Rico. She said, if you're ever
- 4:56Speaker 4: in Puerto Rico, let us know. And, you know, we'd
- 4:59Speaker 4: love to host you at La Fortaleza, the governor's mansion.
- 5:02Speaker 4: And I reached out through the unofficial channels that I
- 5:05Speaker 4: was given. And lo and behold, nobody got back to me.
- 5:08Speaker 4: I felt dissed and dismissed. And I can't help but think,
- 5:12Speaker 4: is that part of the reason why her popularity isn't
- 5:15Speaker 4: going well? Not because she's not getting back in touch
- 5:17Speaker 4: with Rich Valdez. No, but more so because people not
- 5:22Speaker 4: keeping their word And that's something to be debated. So
- 5:26Speaker 4: we'll talk about that because I'm a big fan of hers,
- 5:28Speaker 4: but not a big fan of not visiting La Fortaleza
- 5:32Speaker 4: on my trip. But needless to say, we're going to
- 5:35Speaker 4: talk about a lot of things, not necessarily about Puerto Rico,
- 5:37Speaker 4: but about all sorts of things going on in America tonight.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And one of the things we're going to get into,
- 5:42Speaker 4: maybe not right now, but speaking of Puerto Rico, is AOC,
- 5:45Speaker 4: all out crazy, my least favorite congresswoman from the Bronx
- 5:49Speaker 4: and Queens, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And AOC, all out crazy herself,
- 5:55Speaker 4: she was speaking at the anniversary of the, is that
- 6:02Speaker 4: the march, Mr. Producer? The march of Martin Luther King's
- 6:06Speaker 4: march on Selma, Alabama. And she had a lot of
- 6:09Speaker 4: things to say. So did a lot of her Democrat colleagues.
- 6:11Speaker 4: And we're going to get into some of that in
- 6:13Speaker 4: a little bit as well. We also have Hassan Piker, right?
- 6:17Speaker 4: The Twitch streamer who's a huge fan of uh, Abdul El-Sayed. Now,
- 6:25Speaker 4: a couple of weeks back, he said, if you can't
- 6:27Speaker 4: say my name right, Abdul Rahman, Abdul Rahman, Abdul Rahman, right?
- 6:31Speaker 4: He said it just like that. He said, if you
- 6:33Speaker 4: can't get my name right, get my name out your mouth.
- 6:35Speaker 4: So I said, I will say Abdul Rahman, Abdul Rahman,
- 6:37Speaker 4: Abdul Rahman, just like you said it to make sure
- 6:39Speaker 4: I'm doing it right.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Right.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I'm not trying to mock him or his name. Um, just,
- 6:44Speaker 4: you know, trying to get it right. Anyway. Um, Mr. El-Sayed,
- 6:48Speaker 4: we've got some audio on him. We're going to get
- 6:50Speaker 4: into that. I also want to get into this commentary
- 6:55Speaker 4: from Congressman Josh Gottheimer. Now, he's moderating his position on
- 7:00Speaker 4: a couple of things. I'm just setting the table here, right?
- 7:02Speaker 4: I'm throwing a lot of things out there. We're going
- 7:03Speaker 4: to break all this down as we go through the
- 7:05Speaker 4: show tonight. But he's in a district that has been, historically,
- 7:11Speaker 4: I'll say, for a long time, rather conservative. Now you think,
- 7:15Speaker 4: how do conservatives vote for a guy like that? Well,
- 7:17Speaker 4: you know, they didn't get it right that day. But
- 7:19Speaker 4: this was historically a district that was run for a
- 7:24Speaker 4: long time by Scott Garrett, who at the time was
- 7:28Speaker 4: one of the most conservative members in the entire House
- 7:30Speaker 4: of Representatives. And that office was run by a very
- 7:33Speaker 4: talented now broadcaster who back then was a very talented
- 7:37Speaker 4: state director, a guy named Rich Zioli. And guess who
- 7:42Speaker 4: worked in that office about 25 years ago? Me, right?
- 7:46Speaker 4: When I was about 23 years old, I worked in
- 7:48Speaker 4: that office with Rich Scioli and Congressman Scott Garrett in Paramus,
- 7:52Speaker 4: New Jersey on Route 4. So I know the 5th
- 7:54Speaker 4: District in New Jersey very well, the 8th District in
- 7:57Speaker 4: New Jersey very well. And there's some controversy around Congressman
- 8:03Speaker 4: Scott Gottheimer. Is he genuine? Is he sincere? He happens
- 8:07Speaker 4: to be my congressman. Every 4th of July parade, which
- 8:11Speaker 4: passes right in front of my house, in Bergen County.
- 8:16Speaker 4: He's always in that parade and never, you know, he
- 8:19Speaker 4: never fails. He always shows up for the parades. But
- 8:23Speaker 4: the question is, is a congressman like Scott, excuse me,
- 8:26Speaker 4: Josh Gottheimer, is he being sincere when his voting record
- 8:32Speaker 4: isn't that different than AOC's? But yet he's trying to
- 8:35Speaker 4: say he's not. We're going to play some audio on
- 8:39Speaker 4: that in a little bit and I'm going to let
- 8:40Speaker 4: you guys be the judge of that because I'm not
- 8:45Speaker 4: buying it, honestly. So we will get into that. Let's
- 8:49Speaker 4: see what else we have here. I just want you
- 8:51Speaker 4: to be ready to go, locked and loaded for this
- 8:53Speaker 4: broadcast over the next three hours. We're going to really
- 8:56Speaker 4: do a great job, not because I'm here, but because
- 8:58Speaker 4: you're here, right? The audience, probably one of the most
- 9:02Speaker 4: committed audiences in talk radio besides my own. So thank
- 9:05Speaker 4: you for that. It's always a pleasure. Plus, I want
- 9:08Speaker 4: to get into the Democrats, right? There's a lot of
- 9:10Speaker 4: Democrats right now that are upset with President Trump. They
- 9:13Speaker 4: want to, you know, they're beating him up because he
- 9:16Speaker 4: wants to put an end to mail-in voting. Now, all
- 9:19Speaker 4: over the world, mail-in voting is recognized as something that
- 9:23Speaker 4: promotes fraud. So why would that be a bad thing? Well,
- 9:27Speaker 4: maybe because we have the former vice president of the
- 9:29Speaker 4: United States, Kamala Harris, who I like to call Que
- 9:32Speaker 4: Mala Eres. Que Mala Eres herself, which in Spanish means
- 9:35Speaker 4: how bad she is. Que Mala is out here saying that,
- 9:39Speaker 4: you know, obviously it's racist, it's wrong. How dare you?
- 9:43Speaker 4: How dare you ask someone to prove who they are
- 9:45Speaker 4: and vote in person and show an ID? Well, now
- 9:47Speaker 4: you got a congressman named Bonta. He's saying the same thing.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Now he's saying it's unconstitutional, unconstitutional to have somebody vote
- 9:55Speaker 4: in person and prove who they are. I mean, this
- 9:57Speaker 4: stuff gets crazier. They like to say the comedy. writes itself. Now,
- 10:02Speaker 4: we're also going to touch a little bit on what's
- 10:04Speaker 4: going on in Iran in the Strait of Hormuz, right?
- 10:09Speaker 4: And there's been some audio reporting that we have from
- 10:12Speaker 4: Admiral Bradley Cooper. He's the leader of the United States
- 10:15Speaker 4: Central Command. And A lot of people think that Iran
- 10:19Speaker 4: is the biggest issue on the table right now. I'm
- 10:21Speaker 4: not totally convinced that it is. I still think that
- 10:25Speaker 4: illegal immigration might be a bigger issue. And the reason
- 10:29Speaker 4: being is the issue of Iran was predated by affordability issues,
- 10:36Speaker 4: you know, well before President Trump decided to, you know,
- 10:40Speaker 4: start this conflict in Iran. We had these issues already.
- 10:45Speaker 4: And I think a large part of the affordability crisis,
- 10:49Speaker 4: if that's a word I'm allowed to use here, I
- 10:51Speaker 4: don't really like that phraseology, but I'll use it, really,
- 10:56Speaker 4: to me, has stemmed from Joe Biden's introduction of, at minimum,
- 11:01Speaker 4: 20 million new people in the United States who came
- 11:04Speaker 4: by way of illegal immigration. Guess what happens when you
- 11:08Speaker 4: have all these people that are going to hotels in
- 11:10Speaker 4: New York City? I don't know what they do in
- 11:12Speaker 4: your part of town, but I can tell you what
- 11:13Speaker 4: they do in my part of town. I have a studio,
- 11:16Speaker 4: 47th and Broadway. It's on the ninth floor. I look
- 11:18Speaker 4: outside the window. I could see the red stairs in
- 11:21Speaker 4: Times Square. And when you walk around there, you see
- 11:23Speaker 4: these beautiful hotels, some of which in that area have
- 11:27Speaker 4: been exclusively dedicated to housing illegal immigrants. And, of course,
- 11:34Speaker 4: they get food and they get clothing and they've got,
- 11:37Speaker 4: you know, we've got to be, right? You've got to
- 11:39Speaker 4: be a good host to your guests. That stuff isn't free, right?
- 11:45Speaker 4: So I would say the hidden tax on America really
- 11:48Speaker 4: comes by way of all of the aid that's being
- 11:50Speaker 4: given to 20 million new people. In the years that
- 11:54Speaker 4: we've had illegal immigration problems, we didn't have problems in
- 11:59Speaker 4: one or two or three given years where it was
- 12:01Speaker 4: 20 million new people. Lamentably, that's exactly what we have now.
- 12:07Speaker 4: So we're going to talk about that as well. I
- 12:09Speaker 4: want to get your thoughts on everything as well.
- 12:10Speaker 5: 877-381-3811.
- 12:13Speaker 4: It's Friday night, so we're going to do calls. We're
- 12:15Speaker 4: going to have a good conversation. I do have a
- 12:17Speaker 4: lot to say. Plus, everybody's favorite Christian from Tennessee. I'm
- 12:21Speaker 4: sure you could fill in the blank on a lot
- 12:22Speaker 4: of those, but I'm talking about the Nashville country singer
- 12:25Speaker 4: Jelly Roll. He's taken some heat for blasting El Trompito,
- 12:30Speaker 4: Donaldus Magnus. And what's interesting here is that Trump is
- 12:33Speaker 4: both taller and lighter than him, but he's still taking digs,
- 12:38Speaker 4: even though he's not in better shape yet. as 80-year-old
- 12:42Speaker 4: El Trompito is, which I thought was pretty funny. And
- 12:44Speaker 4: kudos to Jelly Roll for losing his weight. But I
- 12:47Speaker 4: don't know. I'm not totally sold. I'm not totally sold.
- 12:49Speaker 4: I'll get into that in a little bit. Because my
- 12:52Speaker 4: brother had gone to Nashville and came back, my big
- 12:55Speaker 4: brother Lou. And big brother Lou came back and said, oh,
- 12:58Speaker 4: I love it. It's a great town. It's beautiful. You're
- 13:00Speaker 4: going to love it, blah, blah, blah. And it was,
- 13:02Speaker 4: and I do.
- 13:03Speaker 6: I love it.
- 13:03Speaker 4: The only complaint I had was, you know, I'm just
- 13:06Speaker 4: not head over heels about country music, right? I could
- 13:08Speaker 4: do a few country songs, some Morgan Wallen, some of this,
- 13:11Speaker 4: some of that, but eventually, eventually got to mix it
- 13:14Speaker 4: up with some other stuff, right? Anyway, all that being said,
- 13:19Speaker 4: what happens here is that Mr. Jelly Roll, he's One
- 13:25Speaker 4: of those people that, you know, I saw him kind
- 13:27Speaker 4: of emerge. I'm sure a lot of people followed him
- 13:29Speaker 4: for a long time, but he kind of popped on
- 13:31Speaker 4: the scene a couple of years back in a major
- 13:33Speaker 4: way and didn't go away. And good for him, right?
- 13:36Speaker 4: He's a talented guy. He's a good singer. But there
- 13:39Speaker 4: was something about him. I just said, I'm not quite
- 13:43Speaker 4: sold on this. And then little by little, you hear
- 13:45Speaker 4: more things. And now forget what you hear. It's what
- 13:48Speaker 4: you hear him saying. You haven't heard those clips, and
- 13:50Speaker 4: I'm sure you have, from a couple of nights ago.
- 13:53Speaker 4: where he was filling in. The way I'm filling in
- 13:55Speaker 4: for the great one tonight, he was filling in for
- 13:57Speaker 4: Jimmy Kimmel. And man, it wasn't, I'm not going to
- 14:01Speaker 4: say it wasn't what I expected. Let's just put it
- 14:04Speaker 4: that way. And I'll get into that in a little
- 14:05Speaker 4: bit as well. So we're going to talk about that.
- 14:08Speaker 4: And ultimately, you know, this stuff kind of opened my
- 14:13Speaker 4: eyes a little bit. You know, The late Reverend Dr.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Joseph A. Santos from Gospel Tabernacle Church in North Bergen,
- 14:21Speaker 4: New Jersey. He was my first pastor. He's originally from
- 14:25Speaker 4: the Bronx. God rest his soul. When I was about
- 14:28Speaker 4: 19 or 20 years old, I heard him say in
- 14:31Speaker 4: a sermon, he said, if I haven't let you down yet,
- 14:35Speaker 4: it's because you haven't been here long enough. Because it's
- 14:39Speaker 4: God that's infallible. All men are definitely fallible. And I
- 14:44Speaker 4: was always prepared to be let down by men, so
- 14:46Speaker 4: when I see these things with Jelly Roll or others,
- 14:47Speaker 4: it doesn't really mess me up. But when I see
- 14:52Speaker 4: things like what happened with this woman, Lindsay Clancy, that
- 14:56Speaker 4: stuff does mess me up. So, of course, it's disappointing,
- 15:00Speaker 4: and for some it may be surprising, but it's a
- 15:03Speaker 4: wicked world, and we're going to talk about all of that. Because,
- 15:06Speaker 4: like I started in the beginning, this is about good
- 15:09Speaker 4: versus evil. And we're going to continue in that vein
- 15:13Speaker 4: when we return. I am Rich Valdez.
- 15:15Speaker 5: This is America. This is America.
- 15:37Speaker 4: All right, familia, welcome back. Rich Valdez. I see a
- 15:39Speaker 4: couple of calls from Texas, from Georgia, from Colorado. We're
- 15:42Speaker 4: going to get to your calls momentarily. I want to
- 15:44Speaker 4: remind you guys that the great one Mark Levin has
- 15:48Speaker 4: an amazing lineup this weekend on the Fox News Channel.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Chris Ruffo and Rebecca Heinrichs are joining Mark Levin on Life, Liberty,
- 15:57Speaker 4: and Levin on Sunday at 8 p.m. Then, right before that,
- 16:02Speaker 4: on Saturday at 8 p.m. Don't miss this. Steve Moore,
- 16:07Speaker 4: White House economist, Congressman Mike Lawler from New York. Good guy.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Joining Mark Levin again on Life, Liberty and Levin on
- 16:16Speaker 4: the Fox News channel this Saturday at 8 p.m.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Eastern.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Make sure you set your DVR. Right. Don't miss it.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Record it. Watch it. These are those deep dives that
- 16:27Speaker 4: you do not want to miss.
- 16:29Speaker 8: Right.
- 16:30Speaker 4: That's all I could tell you. You've been warned. You
- 16:32Speaker 4: have been told. Make sure you lock it in.
- 16:34Speaker 8: Now.
- 16:35Speaker 4: There's a couple of things I want to get into.
- 16:37Speaker 4: We're going to get into like the things I said, right?
- 16:38Speaker 4: And there's a few things that aren't on there, right?
- 16:41Speaker 4: Did you know, and this is an old story, this
- 16:44Speaker 4: is not breaking news, that they have a certain level
- 16:47Speaker 4: of care that they offer through tax funds in Denmark
- 16:54Speaker 4: for people that have developmental delays and different challenges. And
- 16:59Speaker 4: I think you'll be floored when I tell you all
- 17:00Speaker 4: about it. Now, I am going to leave that for
- 17:02Speaker 4: a little bit later in the show for our power hour,
- 17:03Speaker 4: hour number three. We're doing it live, we're doing it national,
- 17:07Speaker 4: and we're doing it with me, Rich Valdez.
- 17:09Speaker 5: This is America. This is America. He's brown, he's bald,
- 17:24Speaker 5: and he's breaking it down. Oh, he's so handsome. What's
- 17:26Speaker 5: his name?
- 17:27Speaker 4: Rich Valdez. And I want to get some of your
- 17:31Speaker 4: thoughts on what we've been discussing thus far before we continue.
- 17:34Speaker 4: We've got a few people on the line. Let's go
- 17:37Speaker 4: to Castle Rock, Colorado. Phil, go for it. You're on
- 17:42Speaker 4: with Rich Valdez.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Hi, Rich. Can you hear me okay?
- 17:44Speaker 4: Yeah, go for it. Okay.
- 17:45Speaker 2: So three weeks ago, I was at the Jelly Roll
- 17:47Speaker 2: concert in Colorado, Colorado Springs. And I got to tell
- 17:52Speaker 2: you that he's got one of the worst voices I've
- 17:53Speaker 2: ever heard from a live singer. Now, he might be
- 17:56Speaker 2: good in the studio, but he was horrible. But anyway,
- 17:58Speaker 2: I'm thoroughly... And I was a big Jelly Roll fan,
- 18:00Speaker 2: and I'm thoroughly disgusted. I don't watch Jimmy Kimmel, but
- 18:04Speaker 2: I saw the tape of it on YouTube. And I'm shocked.
- 18:10Speaker 2: For a man that talks about God and talks about
- 18:13Speaker 2: loyalty and all that stuff, for him to talk the
- 18:15Speaker 2: way that he did, and to alienate probably half of
- 18:19Speaker 2: his fans... to me, is just stupid. And I don't
- 18:23Speaker 2: get it. I'm so confused by it. You know, I
- 18:26Speaker 2: don't know. Somebody else wrote the jokes for him, and
- 18:29Speaker 2: he just decided he was going to run with it.
- 18:31Speaker 2: But it thoroughly disgusted me, and I will no longer
- 18:34Speaker 2: listen to his music. And I do believe that you've
- 18:37Speaker 2: got an awful lot of country fans and an awful
- 18:40Speaker 2: lot of Jelly Roll fans that were just kind of
- 18:42Speaker 2: shocked by that.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I was surprised, to tell you the truth. And again,
- 18:44Speaker 4: I don't expect everyone to fawn over Donaldus Magnus El Trompito.
- 18:48Speaker 9: Right.
- 18:49Speaker 4: But I also don't. And I think it's fair game
- 18:51Speaker 4: if you're hosting a late night show to take shots
- 18:54Speaker 4: at the president. I just thought it was a unique
- 18:56Speaker 4: position for him to be in where, like you said,
- 18:58Speaker 4: I think it would it wouldn't play well for a
- 19:01Speaker 4: lot of people in his own audience. So, Phil, thank
- 19:03Speaker 4: you for that. I appreciate it. Thanks for sounding off
- 19:06Speaker 4: on that. And I don't know if you're right or wrong.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I guess we'll see. We'll see how that totally ends up.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Quick shout out to our friends in the FBI. Got
- 19:13Speaker 4: a couple of messages coming through the transom over here,
- 19:16Speaker 4: as the great one would say. Friends at the FBI,
- 19:18Speaker 4: shout out to you. Of course, you know, I don't
- 19:20Speaker 4: listen to Jelly Roll, but I do listen to all
- 19:23Speaker 4: sorts of music, right? I listen to some country, especially
- 19:27Speaker 4: those mashups with Morgan Wallen and the... You know, a
- 19:30Speaker 4: couple of rappers that he's I'm a big hip hop fan.
- 19:32Speaker 4: You know, I grew up in the golden age of
- 19:35Speaker 4: hip hop. I like Spanish music, salsa, merengue.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:38Speaker 4: I got a little oro solido in my playlist. I
- 19:41Speaker 4: was just listening to some before I came in this
- 19:43Speaker 4: old track with Fat Joe on it, believe it or not. And,
- 19:46Speaker 4: you know, it made me think that particular band. Oro Solido,
- 19:50Speaker 4: a friend of mine, Raul Acosta, who is a business
- 19:53Speaker 4: partner of mine, but he was recently in the news,
- 19:55Speaker 4: which was interesting. He's making headlines for being a write-in candidate,
- 20:00Speaker 4: a write-in candidate for the congressional seat that was formerly
- 20:05Speaker 4: held by Adriano Espaillat. And This is an interesting story
- 20:11Speaker 4: because you may have heard the new nominee for that
- 20:14Speaker 4: is a Democrat socialist named Daria Liza Chevalier. And Daria
- 20:20Speaker 4: Liza is, I would say, she's to the left of AOC, right?
- 20:24Speaker 4: AOC is like the Puerto Rican communist sympathizer. Well, you
- 20:27Speaker 4: got a Dominican communist sympathizer in Daria Liza who's endorsed
- 20:31Speaker 4: by New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani. And it's almost
- 20:35Speaker 4: like her and AOC are birds of a feather, right?
- 20:39Speaker 4: And AOC, speaking of AOC, who I like to call
- 20:42Speaker 4: all out crazy. By the way, if there's time, I
- 20:44Speaker 4: will share with you a story about AOC and a parade, right?
- 20:50Speaker 4: And if you've listened to me before, you've heard it before.
- 20:52Speaker 4: But the anniversary of that was just recently. So I'll
- 20:55Speaker 4: share that with you. But it's a funny story about
- 20:58Speaker 4: her running away. And you can Google it if you want.
- 21:00Speaker 4: But I want to get into some AOC because she
- 21:02Speaker 4: was at the 63rd anniversary of the Reverend Dr. Martin
- 21:06Speaker 4: Luther King's March on Washington. Forgive me, I thought it
- 21:09Speaker 4: was the March on Selma, Alabama. But it was the
- 21:12Speaker 4: other way. And this March on Washington, earlier today, they
- 21:16Speaker 4: were celebrating this. And she says, look, we have to
- 21:22Speaker 4: have all of these things in order to be Americans.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Listen to this.
- 21:27Speaker 10: We, the people, demand guaranteed health care for every American
- 21:33Speaker 10: as a right and not a privilege. We, the people
- 21:40Speaker 10: of the United States of America, demand that one job
- 21:45Speaker 10: with no need for overtime should be enough for our
- 21:50Speaker 10: most basic needs, which also include rest. And we must
- 21:59Speaker 10: recognize that that can only happen in an economy where
- 22:03Speaker 10: Black women are not the first to be pushed out
- 22:06Speaker 10: and the last to be brought back in.
- 22:10Speaker 3: What?
- 22:11Speaker 4: What does one have to do with the other, right?
- 22:15Speaker 4: She's talking about guaranteed health care for every American is
- 22:19Speaker 4: a right and not a privilege. Now, I know where
- 22:21Speaker 4: she gets that. She gets that from her communist sympathizing grandfather,
- 22:25Speaker 4: Bernie Sanders, right? Bernard Sanders, Senator Sanders. Health care is
- 22:30Speaker 4: a right. Health care is a right. Now, Bernie Sanders
- 22:33Speaker 4: and his health care is a right stuff. We've been
- 22:36Speaker 4: over this many times, right? Can we sit here and
- 22:38Speaker 4: just start asking for everything to be all right? Because
- 22:41Speaker 4: this seemingly will get out of control very quickly. As
- 22:45Speaker 4: soon as healthcare is all right, guess what's going to
- 22:47Speaker 4: be the next right?
- 22:48Speaker 2: Housing.
- 22:49Speaker 4: And I'm going to pick what kind of house I want, right?
- 22:52Speaker 4: I'm not talking about just basic shelter. No, no, no.
- 22:54Speaker 4: I'm talking high ceilings loft, preferably in the Brickell area
- 23:00Speaker 4: of Miami. That's the housing right that I would like
- 23:05Speaker 4: allotted to me. And It's fascinating to me that the
- 23:09Speaker 4: left and, you know, one of their leaders, AOC, all
- 23:12Speaker 4: out crazy herself, think that somehow this is okay. It's
- 23:17Speaker 4: okay that the idea that we're just going to demand
- 23:22Speaker 4: health care for every American as a right, it's not
- 23:25Speaker 4: a privilege. We the people, right, tries to get all
- 23:30Speaker 4: patriotic with it. Every basic need should be met by
- 23:34Speaker 4: the government. Now, listen, I'm here taunting her and I'm
- 23:37Speaker 4: taking shots at her philosophy for sure. But one thing
- 23:40Speaker 4: I could tell you is she doesn't hide behind things
- 23:43Speaker 4: like some of her colleagues. AOC, Daria Liza, many of
- 23:47Speaker 4: the other Democrat socialists, they're in your face about what
- 23:52Speaker 4: they believe. They're letting you know, look, I'm communist light.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Don't get it twisted. The rest of them are like, no, no, no, listen, no, no,
- 24:02Speaker 4: come on, no, take it easy. But they're full of it.
- 24:06Speaker 4: So I don't know, do we give her credit for
- 24:07Speaker 4: being honest with her crazy? Or, you know, do we
- 24:10Speaker 4: criticize her for being crazy?
- 24:12Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 24:12Speaker 4: But I will say, ultimately, it doesn't end until the
- 24:17Speaker 4: final sentence, right? Where she says, we have to recognize
- 24:19Speaker 4: that all of this can only happen in an economy
- 24:23Speaker 4: where black women are not the first to be pushed
- 24:26Speaker 4: out and the last to be brought back in, right?
- 24:30Speaker 4: So it's not just about healthcare. It's about now throwing
- 24:33Speaker 4: in the race card. It's about trying to muster up
- 24:36Speaker 4: whatever grievance you can. And this is not me trying
- 24:39Speaker 4: to minimize the plight of any black woman, right? The
- 24:42Speaker 4: other day I was visiting a friend in the hospital
- 24:45Speaker 4: and she herself is a, I guess we'll go with
- 24:49Speaker 4: whatever leftist term. I love to use the leftist terms.
- 24:51Speaker 4: We'll call her BIPOC, right? She fits into black indigenous
- 24:55Speaker 4: person of color. She's Puerto Rican. Right. And my friend
- 24:58Speaker 4: tells me, you know, and she means it from a
- 25:01Speaker 4: good place, not from a political place. She's not even
- 25:03Speaker 4: a political person. But she says, you know, did you
- 25:06Speaker 4: know that more black women die in in hospitals and
- 25:12Speaker 4: especially while giving birth than others? And she found it
- 25:17Speaker 4: shocking and thought that this had to do with something racial. Right.
- 25:22Speaker 4: And my I've seen these stats.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Right.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Remember, I used to work in the government and. We
- 25:27Speaker 4: analyzed stats like this when I worked in the state
- 25:29Speaker 4: government about maternal child health and how it differed by race.
- 25:36Speaker 4: And the overwhelming data that I looked at, the peer-reviewed data,
- 25:41Speaker 4: was always showing that the reason that women of color,
- 25:45Speaker 4: in particular African-American women, were dying during childbirth was because
- 25:51Speaker 4: of undiagnosed pre-existing conditions because they neglected their prenatal care.
- 25:57Speaker 4: or because they didn't have a habit of going to
- 26:01Speaker 4: the doctor every six months or once a year for
- 26:03Speaker 4: a physical. It wasn't part of their routine. So their
- 26:07Speaker 4: pregnancies were oftentimes marred by different types of ailments. And
- 26:14Speaker 4: this could not be more evident than I told you
- 26:18Speaker 4: in the beginning. My parents are from Puerto Rico. I
- 26:21Speaker 4: was born in Brooklyn, but we have one big happy
- 26:24Speaker 4: Puerto Rican family. Eating pernil. Rice, arroz con habichuela, you know,
- 26:29Speaker 4: all the good staples that one eats. And while this
- 26:33Speaker 4: food is delicious and I will never not eat it,
- 26:36Speaker 4: but you have to eat it in moderation and you've
- 26:38Speaker 4: got to make sure that, you know, you're exercising and
- 26:41Speaker 4: we can't normalize obesity, right? Which I think the left
- 26:46Speaker 4: will say, stop fat shaming. No, it's not about fat shaming.
- 26:50Speaker 4: It's about telling people the truth that you're going to
- 26:53Speaker 4: die if you're fat. You're going to get diabetes. You're
- 26:59Speaker 4: more susceptible to cancer. It's not good, right? It gives
- 27:03Speaker 4: you a bunch of different comorbidities. So my point is,
- 27:08Speaker 4: when AOC makes a comment like this, clearly, clearly she's
- 27:13Speaker 4: trying to make it incendiary. She's trying to make it
- 27:17Speaker 4: seem as if there's someone or something always against this
- 27:21Speaker 4: person or that person because of their color, because of
- 27:23Speaker 4: their status, because of their this, So I'm going to
- 27:27Speaker 4: play the same game and say that there's always somebody
- 27:29Speaker 4: against me because I love America. There's always somebody against
- 27:33Speaker 4: me because I believe that we should have a free market.
- 27:38Speaker 4: I believe in capital. And it just is shocking. Again,
- 27:44Speaker 4: another ADHD tangent for you. The other day I was
- 27:47Speaker 4: scrolling on the Instagram and I saw this post and
- 27:51Speaker 4: it was about a fight that broke out somewhere in
- 27:53Speaker 4: New York. And I put some sort of comment, you know,
- 27:56Speaker 4: something snide, something silly, whatever. Someone replied to me saying,
- 28:00Speaker 4: this is capitalism at work. Now, clearly they were trying
- 28:05Speaker 4: to bait me. That's what the trolls do. She wanted
- 28:08Speaker 4: to bait me into a conversation saying that people are
- 28:11Speaker 4: fighting in the streets because they're so damn greedy. Now,
- 28:15Speaker 4: one has nothing to do with the other. But again,
- 28:16Speaker 4: the leftist is stuck in this world. So it all
- 28:20Speaker 4: comes back to that. initial question I had, good versus evil.
- 28:28Speaker 4: And truly, people might say this upcoming midterm is a
- 28:32Speaker 4: battle over capitalism versus socialism. I would step back and
- 28:37Speaker 4: say this upcoming battle is a battle over good versus evil,
- 28:44Speaker 4: because it's truly that simple.
- 28:46Speaker 11: Mr.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Producer, how am I doing? All right, we're going to
- 28:48Speaker 4: pause right here. We're going to come right back. We're
- 28:49Speaker 4: going to go to your calls and more. Don't go anywhere.
- 28:52Speaker 4: I'm Rich Valdez.
- 28:53Speaker 5: This is America. This is.
- 29:07Speaker 8: America.
- 29:08Speaker 5: This is America.
- 29:16Speaker 4: President Donald J. Trump, Mr. President, welcome to the program, sir.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Rich, and thank you for everything. I
- 29:23Speaker 3: know you very well, and I listen, but I have
- 29:26Speaker 3: a lot of people that listen, and they love your show,
- 29:28Speaker 3: and I appreciate it very much.
- 29:31Speaker 4: All right, Fabinho, welcome back. We're going to grab a
- 29:33Speaker 4: couple of calls here, just because they've been there, and
- 29:36Speaker 4: I love talking to people. But we are going to
- 29:37Speaker 4: get to everything I said we were going to get to, because...
- 29:40Speaker 4: there's a lot to talk about. A lot happened this week.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Plus that whole Lindsey Clancy thing. Man, that was a doozy. Anyway,
- 29:47Speaker 4: let us continue. Where do we go? We're going to
- 29:52Speaker 4: go to Rod calling us from Atlanta, Georgia on SiriusXM.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Go for it, Rod. Hey, what's going on?
- 29:59Speaker 2: Wonderful.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Can you hear me?
- 30:01Speaker 4: Go for it.
- 30:02Speaker 6: I just had a quick question.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I just looked up the U.S.
- 30:07Speaker 11: Customs and Voters, and it says like 11 million illegals.
- 30:12Speaker 6: But my question is, if you're not from New York, California,
- 30:19Speaker 6: and probably Texas, I don't feel like the illegal.
- 30:25Speaker 11: immigration problem which I was 100% in favor of closing
- 30:29Speaker 11: the border because you got to get control of it
- 30:32Speaker 11: right and I'm in favor of deportations which that's the
- 30:37Speaker 11: law you're just enforcing the law but I'm trying to figure.
- 30:40Speaker 8: Out how does it affect me Georgia Southeast anybody that's
- 30:47Speaker 8: not from New York California and we'll say Texas.
- 30:55Speaker 4: The point that I was making, Rod, was really exactly that,
- 30:58Speaker 4: that I think most people don't realize. I think people
- 31:01Speaker 4: are walking around kind of, I don't want to say misunderstanding,
- 31:05Speaker 4: but being misdirected, right? I think a lot of people
- 31:08Speaker 4: right now are saying, you know, this war in Iran,
- 31:11Speaker 4: oh my goodness, this war, it's costing us an arm
- 31:13Speaker 4: and a leg, billions of dollars a day. And then
- 31:17Speaker 4: when they go to buy a steak and it's, you know,
- 31:19Speaker 4: $ 10 a pound, they're like, yeah, you see, that's because
- 31:21Speaker 4: of that damn war in Iraq. And I'm going to
- 31:24Speaker 4: say that, no, that steak has been 9.50 and 10.50
- 31:28Speaker 4: a pound since well before this war. And what really
- 31:32Speaker 4: sparked this increase in cost? Now we could talk about
- 31:35Speaker 4: the cows and there was an issue with cows and
- 31:37Speaker 4: a lot of them had to be killed. And I
- 31:39Speaker 4: get all that. But nobody can argue that it's more expensive,
- 31:43Speaker 4: way more than the government's planned 2% planned inflation, right?
- 31:49Speaker 4: So Where does this hidden tax come from? Some will say, well,
- 31:53Speaker 4: that's Trump and his tariffs. He's killing us. They're passing
- 31:56Speaker 4: it on to the consumer. And I would say in
- 31:58Speaker 4: some degree, but when you really dig into it, you
- 32:00Speaker 4: see that it's really not there either, right? It's not
- 32:03Speaker 4: in large part. And all I could say is when
- 32:06Speaker 4: I see my taxes going up, why is my, let
- 32:08Speaker 4: me ask you this, Ron, why is my auto insurance
- 32:11Speaker 4: going up like I'm having an accident every renewal when
- 32:14Speaker 4: I'm not? I'm 48 years old and I haven't had
- 32:17Speaker 4: an accident in years. And I can tell you why.
- 32:20Speaker 4: Because people are having accidents like crazy with uninsured drivers who,
- 32:26Speaker 4: in many cases, don't even have a legitimate driver's license.
- 32:29Speaker 4: That's the number one factor that's pushing these things up.
- 32:32Speaker 4: And it's going unnoticed. People are pretending like the cost
- 32:36Speaker 4: of living is going up and it has nothing to
- 32:38Speaker 4: do with the 11 million or 20 million, by other
- 32:41Speaker 4: people's count, illegal immigrants that are in the country. So when...
- 32:47Speaker 4: I look at all of those things and I say, man,
- 32:49Speaker 4: we have a big problem. Thank God Trump closed the border.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Thank God he's enforcing immigration laws. But the reality is
- 32:57Speaker 4: a lot of the damage is done. And until we
- 32:59Speaker 4: have 20 million less people in our country, we're going
- 33:03Speaker 4: to continue providing welfare for families that are here that
- 33:07Speaker 4: are not supposed to be here, but we can't watch
- 33:09Speaker 4: their kids starve either. And this is an issue. The
- 33:12Speaker 4: fact that we had to put all this money into
- 33:14Speaker 4: ICE to even address this problem That's another hidden tax
- 33:18Speaker 4: on these things. So I would say this is one
- 33:21Speaker 4: of the biggest fires that I think Trump is putting out.
- 33:23Speaker 4: And just because the border is closed and we're not
- 33:26Speaker 4: seeing the influx that we once saw doesn't mean that
- 33:29Speaker 4: the problem is gone forever. At least that's my thought.
- 33:31Speaker 4: Thank you, Rod. I appreciate your call. Shout out to
- 33:34Speaker 4: Sirius XM and everybody in the A, Georgia in the building, Atlanta.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Let us continue. I want to go to. Let's see.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Let's go to Andy calling us from Richland, Washington. Andy,
- 33:51Speaker 4: go right ahead.
- 33:53Speaker 6: Hi.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I just wanted to comment on Ayak's comments. Somebody
- 33:59Speaker 3: should remind her that this last hired, first fired rule
- 34:04Speaker 3: is a union rule. In non-union workplaces, it goes by.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Merit, right? It goes by whoever's better at their job.
- 34:12Speaker 4: They don't use seniority in most places. Yeah, it's a
- 34:15Speaker 4: great point.
- 34:15Speaker 6: Right?
- 34:16Speaker 4: Seniority and what they call LIFO, right? Last in, first out.
- 34:19Speaker 4: These are union rules, and the unions were the number
- 34:23Speaker 4: one target of communists 100 years ago, right? Workers of
- 34:26Speaker 4: the world unite. Vita Peron would be proud of AOC.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Thank you, Andy. I appreciate it. Very good point. And
- 34:34Speaker 4: with seconds to go on the clock, let's go to
- 34:36Speaker 4: Catherine Ann calling us from New York. Go for it.
- 34:41Speaker 5: Yes, hi.
- 34:42Speaker 6: Thank you so much.
- 34:44Speaker 4: I think you are beyond brilliant, and you were made
- 34:47Speaker 4: perfectly by God, our king. Oh, amen to that, especially
- 34:52Speaker 4: my hair. Go right ahead.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Well, listen.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sorry. Catherine, if you don't mind hanging on,
- 34:57Speaker 4: they played the music, and that means I got to go,
- 35:00Speaker 4: but we're coming right back. It is Rich Valdez, hour
- 35:03Speaker 4: number two, coming up straight ahead. Keep it locked right here.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Don't go anywhere. What's up, America? I am Rich Valdez,
- 35:11Speaker 4: Valdez with an S, at Rich Valdez on all of
- 35:13Speaker 4: the social media, filling in for the great one, Mark Levin, tonight.
- 35:17Speaker 4: Give me a call if you want to join the show.
- 35:19Speaker 4: I love to take calls. After all, I was Mr.
- 35:22Speaker 4: Call Screener on this show for a long time. 877-381-3811, 877-381-3811, right?
- 35:30Speaker 4: That's how it goes. And if you want to join us,
- 35:32Speaker 4: I'm happy to chat with you. We're talking about a
- 35:34Speaker 4: number of things tonight, not the least of which is
- 35:37Speaker 4: your opinions, but... I mentioned a little jelly roll. I
- 35:40Speaker 4: mentioned a little bit of what's going on in the
- 35:41Speaker 4: Strait of Hormuz. A couple of stories regarding China this week.
- 35:47Speaker 4: And we're going to get to all of that, plus
- 35:49Speaker 4: everything I mentioned in the previous hour. If you missed that,
- 35:51Speaker 4: make sure you check out the podcast of this show.
- 35:54Speaker 4: And you got to tune in for Life, Liberty, and Levin. Life, Liberty,
- 35:58Speaker 4: and Levin is going to be kick butt this weekend.
- 36:00Speaker 4: On Saturday, you got Steve Moore, former White House economist,
- 36:04Speaker 4: to both President Reagan and President Trump. How about that?
- 36:07Speaker 4: and Congressman Mike Lawler out of New York. They're joining
- 36:10Speaker 4: Mark Levin on Life, Liberty, and Levin, 8 p.m. Eastern
- 36:15Speaker 4: time this Saturday on the Fox News Channel. Then Sunday,
- 36:20Speaker 4: you got Chris Ruffo, Rebecca Heinrichs, joining Mark Levin on Life, Liberty,
- 36:26Speaker 4: and Levin on Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern time on
- 36:29Speaker 4: the Fox News Channel. So make sure you set your
- 36:31Speaker 4: DVRs for those. Do not miss that. Again, my name,
- 36:35Speaker 4: Rich Valdez, Valdez with an S-I- host a show called
- 36:38Speaker 4: This Is America with Rich Valdez. And I encourage you
- 36:42Speaker 4: to subscribe to it for free wherever you get podcasts
- 36:47Speaker 4: and whatnot. And follow me on social media if you can,
- 36:50Speaker 4: because I try to be active there. Probably not as
- 36:52Speaker 4: much as I should be, but I do give that
- 36:54Speaker 4: a shot. And we were talking earlier about this backlash, right?
- 36:58Speaker 4: There's been some online backlash about some criticisms of someone
- 37:02Speaker 4: I like to call El Trumpito, Donaldus Magnus, the 45th
- 37:06Speaker 4: and 47th president of these United States, Donald J. Trump,
- 37:09Speaker 4: El Presidente. And the artist known as Jelly Roll, this
- 37:15Speaker 4: guy was filling in for Jimmy Kimmel. And he took
- 37:21Speaker 4: aim at the president. Again, listen, President Trump's got thick skin.
- 37:24Speaker 4: He's a tough guy. He's a big guy. Matter of fact,
- 37:26Speaker 4: he's a taller guy than Jelly Roll and a lighter
- 37:29Speaker 4: guy in terms of weight. And yet Jelly Roll wanted
- 37:34Speaker 4: to pick on his weight, saying he gained 14 pounds,
- 37:36Speaker 4: this and that. You know, I guess maybe it hit
- 37:38Speaker 4: a nerve for me because I used to be pretty
- 37:40Speaker 4: fat myself. I lost a bunch of weight with the
- 37:43Speaker 4: keto diet. And then I started exercising and got into
- 37:47Speaker 4: my health a lot more and did a bunch of
- 37:48Speaker 4: other things in order to stay, you know, in good shape.
- 37:53Speaker 4: But after my birthday this year in May, my birthday
- 37:57Speaker 4: is Cinco de Mayo, by the way. I started eating
- 38:00Speaker 4: like food was going out of style. And I just,
- 38:04Speaker 4: I didn't meet a carb that I didn't love. And
- 38:07Speaker 4: I ate them all. And I think I gained 30 pounds,
- 38:11Speaker 4: like May, June, July. And I just started losing weight again.
- 38:15Speaker 4: I think I'm down 20 now because I've been hitting
- 38:16Speaker 4: the gym every day. But we shouldn't have 30 pound,
- 38:21Speaker 4: you know, swings in our weight. But sometimes that stuff happens.
- 38:25Speaker 4: And jelly rolls, wanted to beat up President Trump for
- 38:29Speaker 4: putting on 14 pounds. And I think we have a
- 38:32Speaker 4: clip of Jelly Roll also taking shots at President Trump
- 38:36Speaker 4: on how he waves the race car flag and a
- 38:41Speaker 4: couple other things that, you know, didn't necessarily make me laugh,
- 38:44Speaker 4: but made me think, come on, you can do better
- 38:47Speaker 4: than that. Listen to this.
- 38:48Speaker 9: And there's Donald Trump, who apparently has never held a
- 38:50Speaker 9: flag before.
- 38:52Speaker 4: What a job. How do you up waving a flag?
- 39:03Speaker 9: But the president seemed to enjoy the IndyCar race, which
- 39:06Speaker 9: was a real switch up for him because normally he
- 39:08Speaker 9: only likes his own race. Trump also drove around the
- 39:16Speaker 9: track in his motorcade doing what they call the lap
- 39:19Speaker 9: of honor, which sounds like a loyalty program at a
- 39:22Speaker 9: strip club. 5% cash back in the champagne room for
- 39:28Speaker 9: all Map of Honor members. Sadly, those are the only
- 39:33Speaker 9: laps Trump's been doing lately. According to the Washington Post,
- 39:38Speaker 9: a lot of doctors are worried about the president's weight.
- 39:41Speaker 9: After his last physical, we found out Trump gained 14 pounds,
- 39:44Speaker 9: which means he's now tipping the scales at almost 240.
- 39:47Speaker 9: It's crazy. Think about this, y'all. In the last few years,
- 39:52Speaker 9: I've lost 300 pounds. That means I've lost an entire
- 40:07Speaker 9: Donald Trump. And let's be honest, based on his approval ratings,
- 40:13Speaker 9: it seems like most of the country wants to do
- 40:14Speaker 9: the same thing.
- 40:17Speaker 4: So, again, I pledged as much of it as I
- 40:19Speaker 4: could there. He was on a roll. I guess some
- 40:21Speaker 4: people in the audience thought that was funny, but it's
- 40:23Speaker 4: Jimmy Kimmel.
- 40:24Speaker 8: Right.
- 40:25Speaker 4: So a lot of people who are there are already
- 40:28Speaker 4: Trump haters.
- 40:28Speaker 8: Right.
- 40:29Speaker 4: I think that's Jimmy Kimmel. I feel like stopped being
- 40:32Speaker 4: a comic along with a few others a while back. Now,
- 40:36Speaker 4: there's a couple that are funny, like Trevor Noah. I
- 40:38Speaker 4: do find Trevor Noah funny. But and Colbert, I think Colbert,
- 40:43Speaker 4: he goes down this same rabbit hole.
- 40:45Speaker 10: Right.
- 40:46Speaker 4: The anti-Trump. I hate Trump. But he makes me laugh,
- 40:48Speaker 4: or at least he used to make me laugh a
- 40:50Speaker 4: lot on the Colbert Report when he played a conservative.
- 40:53Speaker 4: I thought that was so funny. But going back to
- 40:55Speaker 4: this one, and this is really, you know, I guess
- 40:58Speaker 4: there's no right or wrong here, right? You're free to
- 41:01Speaker 4: not like whoever you don't like. A lot of people
- 41:03Speaker 4: don't like me. But why, if you're a Nashville country singer,
- 41:09Speaker 4: would you take this position that might piss off a
- 41:12Speaker 4: lot of your audience?
- 41:14Speaker 5: Right?
- 41:15Speaker 4: And I'm wondering... Am I looking at it the wrong way?
- 41:20Speaker 4: Is this one of those things where I'm the last
- 41:21Speaker 4: one to find out? Like, is Tennessee not a red state?
- 41:26Speaker 4: And last I checked, it was. My nephew is a
- 41:28Speaker 4: state trooper in the state of Tennessee. And when I've
- 41:32Speaker 4: been there, it looked pretty darn conservative to me. But
- 41:36Speaker 4: Nashville is a different beast, right? It's kind of like
- 41:38Speaker 4: the New York of Tennessee that is, you know, down
- 41:43Speaker 4: the middle at best, I would say. And I'm wondering,
- 41:46Speaker 4: am I... putting too much stock in the conservatism of Tennessee.
- 41:50Speaker 4: If you think I'm right or wrong, give me a
- 41:51Speaker 4: call if you're in Tennessee. I want to hear from
- 41:53Speaker 4: you on this because I'm not sure. And I would
- 41:57Speaker 4: think that it takes a lot out of an artist
- 42:01Speaker 4: to do this, right? Dolly Parton, a couple of days ago,
- 42:04Speaker 4: you may have seen this clip of her doing an interview,
- 42:07Speaker 4: and she's being goaded, G-O-A-D-E-D, baited, B-A-I-T-E-D, by the interviewer
- 42:17Speaker 4: to say something anti-Trump. And she doesn't take the bait.
- 42:22Speaker 4: And she's adamant about it. And she's like, look, man,
- 42:24Speaker 4: I'm an entertainer. I'm not here for that. And good
- 42:28Speaker 4: for her, right, for taking that position. And again, if
- 42:30Speaker 4: you're an entertainer that wants to be outspoken about your
- 42:33Speaker 4: conservatism or your liberalism, that's on you too. But my
- 42:37Speaker 4: question is, I guess you've got to know your audience
- 42:40Speaker 4: well enough to say, do I have an audience after
- 42:44Speaker 4: I out myself? as a whatever. Now, for me, as
- 42:49Speaker 4: a talk show host in the radio space, in the
- 42:51Speaker 4: podcast space, even in cable television, many of you see
- 42:54Speaker 4: me on television occasionally. This is one of those things
- 42:58Speaker 4: where I've always been upfront about my conservatism. Pardon me.
- 43:04Speaker 4: So for me, the other side of the coin is
- 43:08Speaker 4: do people that hate me, hate me because I've been
- 43:12Speaker 4: so honest about it? I don't know. But I'm curious
- 43:16Speaker 4: to know how this hurts or helps an artist, right?
- 43:19Speaker 4: Because you've seen, you know, interview after interview of people
- 43:23Speaker 4: in Hollywood and other places. They come out and they're like, hey,
- 43:26Speaker 4: I like this or I like that. And for many,
- 43:29Speaker 4: it hurts. Now, I think for those that are in Nashville,
- 43:33Speaker 4: usually it doesn't hurt them at all, right? Because there's
- 43:36Speaker 4: still a conservative bastion in Tennessee. But is that changing, right?
- 43:42Speaker 4: Is there a rift amongst the... the folks in Nashville.
- 43:46Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't think so. I think Jollyville
- 43:49Speaker 4: might be the exception to the rule, but I'm curious
- 43:51Speaker 4: to know your thoughts on this. And I want to
- 43:54Speaker 4: hear from you on it. Now, a couple other things
- 43:56Speaker 4: I want to get into before we move on. One
- 43:59Speaker 4: of the things that gets under my skin is when
- 44:05Speaker 4: people try to invoke the name of the constitution, right? They, they,
- 44:09Speaker 4: they start talking about, this is a violation of the constitution, right?
- 44:15Speaker 4: And in cut 12, we've got the Attorney General of California,
- 44:21Speaker 4: Rob Bonta. I think I called him a congressman earlier.
- 44:24Speaker 4: That was probably a compliment, or maybe it was an insult.
- 44:27Speaker 4: I don't know. Depends on how you look at it.
- 44:29Speaker 4: But General Bonta, he was on CNN today, and he
- 44:33Speaker 4: says that President Trump is violating the Constitution because he
- 44:38Speaker 4: wants to restrict mail-in voting. Listen to this. He is
- 44:43Speaker 4: trying to violate the U.S. Constitution. That's par for the
- 44:45Speaker 4: course for him. Unfortunately, he has trampled over the U.S.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Constitution time and time again, at least tried to, and
- 44:51Speaker 1: we've stopped him multiple times, whether it be birthright citizenship
- 44:54Speaker 1: or his unlawful unconstitutional tariffs or other.
- 44:59Speaker 4: Actions he's taken.
- 45:00Speaker 1: And he's doing it here. There's a part of the Constitution,
- 45:02Speaker 1: a clause in the Constitution, right on point, the elections clause.
- 45:05Speaker 1: It says the states and to a degree Congress determine
- 45:08Speaker 1: the time, place, and the manner of of elections, and
- 45:11Speaker 1: the United States Postal Service and the President of the
- 45:13Speaker 1: United States have no authority in that regard. So he
- 45:16Speaker 1: is violating the Constitution, and rightfully and appropriately, a federal
- 45:19Speaker 1: judge has blocked him from implementing this unlawful and unconstitutional action.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Now, Rob Bonta is doing his victory lap here. But
- 45:29Speaker 4: the bigger question here is, what is Rob Bonta missing?
- 45:34Speaker 4: I think he's missing the will of the people, right?
- 45:36Speaker 4: Because while It is the state legislatures that do this.
- 45:40Speaker 4: They do this at the behest of we the people, right?
- 45:43Speaker 4: We the people of whichever state. Americans, by and large,
- 45:49Speaker 4: whether you're looking at the polling or anecdotal evidence or
- 45:52Speaker 4: just honest common sense, don't want crooked elections. None of
- 45:58Speaker 4: them do. That's a fact. I'm pretty sure that it's
- 46:03Speaker 4: kind of irrefutable unless you're in a very blue county
- 46:07Speaker 4: and a very blue state, then they're like, no, no, no, no,
- 46:09Speaker 4: we want this. But by and large, right, roughly 3,000
- 46:13Speaker 4: counties across the country, roughly 3,000 counties across the country
- 46:18Speaker 4: want fair elections. I would be, you know, remiss if
- 46:22Speaker 4: I didn't count a couple of blue ones, like I said,
- 46:24Speaker 4: but for the most part. So, okay, they take this
- 46:28Speaker 4: legal action against the president, but they're missing the bigger point.
- 46:33Speaker 4: Trump's just played them. This guy's now on television saying
- 46:39Speaker 4: that it's Trump that's violating the Constitution because he's saying
- 46:41Speaker 4: he doesn't want ballot fraud. You don't have to be
- 46:45Speaker 4: a rocket scientist to realize that this guy, who happens
- 46:49Speaker 4: to be a Democrat, is advocating for ballot fraud, trying
- 46:54Speaker 4: to wrap it in the patina of Trump hatred and
- 46:57Speaker 4: Trump derangement syndrome and Trump's all things bad and it's anti-constitutional.
- 47:04Speaker 4: Guess what? I think even the Democrats look at this
- 47:07Speaker 4: and say, yeah, you know, come on, let's be honest here.
- 47:10Speaker 4: This isn't really what's going on, right? I mean, come on.
- 47:14Speaker 4: When people of all walks of life, from all stripes,
- 47:18Speaker 4: when they see these videos that James O'Keefe puts together
- 47:22Speaker 4: or others that are showing people how blatant it is
- 47:27Speaker 4: when people refuse an ID, it makes people scratch their
- 47:32Speaker 4: heads and think and say, hold on a second. Why?
- 47:35Speaker 9: Why?
- 47:36Speaker 4: Why are you so adamant about making voting so easy
- 47:44Speaker 4: to be rigged, making it so susceptible to fraud? And that,
- 47:48Speaker 4: to me, is a losing position. Anyway, I want to
- 47:50Speaker 4: know what you think about that as well. I'm Valdez.
- 47:53Speaker 5: This is America. This is America.
- 48:07Speaker 4: States do not have to comply with it, and they're
- 48:10Speaker 4: going to have a preliminary injunction.
- 48:32Speaker 1: A hearing next week, and hopefully we'll get an order
- 48:35Speaker 1: that goes even longer all the way through the election
- 48:38Speaker 1: to make it clear that this order from the president
- 48:40Speaker 1: will not be implemented before this election.
- 48:44Speaker 4: That is Attorney General of California, Rob Bonta. And Mr.
- 48:50Speaker 4: Bonta argues that the states have the time, place, and manner,
- 48:57Speaker 4: they control the time, place, and manner of elections in
- 49:00Speaker 4: their state. And this is a right given to them in,
- 49:05Speaker 4: you know, or enumerated in the Constitution. OK, and I
- 49:11Speaker 4: will say this, that same Constitution says that the plenary
- 49:16Speaker 4: power that the executive has. that of the president being
- 49:23Speaker 4: the entirety of the executive branch, I don't think is
- 49:26Speaker 4: going to be undone by him saying, I control USPS.
- 49:31Speaker 4: I don't know how the state in controlling their time, place,
- 49:34Speaker 4: and manner is going to overrule the POTUS controlling the
- 49:39Speaker 4: postal service. Now, forgive me for being an ignoramus, right?
- 49:45Speaker 4: When it comes to issues like this, I'm not a
- 49:47Speaker 4: learned man like Attorney General Bonta. But if you are
- 49:52Speaker 4: a learned man of constitutional law, get Mark Levin on
- 49:57Speaker 4: the phone, right? I don't think I'm wrong here. I
- 50:00Speaker 4: don't see this man going to the Supreme Court and
- 50:02Speaker 4: the Supreme Court saying, yep, yep, you got it. the
- 50:05Speaker 4: state of California is going to now dictate what the
- 50:08Speaker 4: United States post office does. And the president is going
- 50:11Speaker 4: to fall back. How does that make any sense? It doesn't,
- 50:16Speaker 4: it doesn't. And I think he's barking up the wrong tree.
- 50:19Speaker 4: He's just trying to get a show. This is how
- 50:21Speaker 4: the left works. They go after stuff. They get their
- 50:24Speaker 4: preliminary injunction. They get a little order here from a
- 50:28Speaker 4: circuit court or from one of the other federal courts.
- 50:30Speaker 4: And then eventually if it even makes it up there. Now, listen,
- 50:33Speaker 4: if I have to, eat crow on this, you know,
- 50:35Speaker 4: next August or next July or next June, or if
- 50:38Speaker 4: they even take this case. All right, I'll eat crow.
- 50:42Speaker 4: But I'm going to say, nice try, Attorney General Bonta.
- 50:46Speaker 4: I don't think this is a long-lived victory, right? Because
- 50:49Speaker 4: Clarence Thomas and Alito and even the late Justice Antonin Scalia,
- 50:57Speaker 4: they all spoke a lot about executive authority, and the
- 51:02Speaker 4: idea or the theory of unitary executive theory. And this,
- 51:07Speaker 4: to me, slam dunk, and it's not for Bonta. It's
- 51:11Speaker 4: going to be a slam dunk for John Sauer, if
- 51:13Speaker 4: he argues this case, for Attorney General Blanch. It's going
- 51:17Speaker 4: to be a slam dunk for El Trompito. Now, that's
- 51:21Speaker 4: my thought on that. Mr. Producer, do I have enough
- 51:23Speaker 4: time to go to calls? I have one minute. That
- 51:26Speaker 4: means you're going to say, hi, my name is so-and-so,
- 51:28Speaker 4: and the music's going to kick in, and I'm going
- 51:29Speaker 4: to cut you off, and we won't be able to
- 51:31Speaker 4: do it. So what I'm going to do is I'm
- 51:33Speaker 4: going to remind you about what Mark has going on
- 51:35Speaker 4: this weekend, which is Life, Liberty, and Levin. And you
- 51:39Speaker 4: do not want to miss Life, Liberty, and Levin this weekend.
- 51:42Speaker 4: Amazing guests. Check this out. Saturday lineup. Steve Moore, Congressman
- 51:46Speaker 4: Mike Lawler out of New York, joining Mark on Life, Liberty,
- 51:49Speaker 4: and Levin this Saturday, 8 p.m. Eastern time on the
- 51:53Speaker 4: Fox News channel. Make sure you set your DVR. And
- 51:55Speaker 4: guess what? Set it twice.
- 51:56Speaker 5: Why?
- 51:57Speaker 4: Sunday. Mark is back. Same time, same channel. Chris Ruffo
- 52:02Speaker 4: and Rebecca Heinrichs are joining Mark on Life, Liberty, and
- 52:06Speaker 4: Levin on the Fox News channel Sunday at 8 p.m.
- 52:09Speaker 4: Eastern time. So make sure you lock in for that.
- 52:12Speaker 4: We're coming back. I'm going to do your calls. We
- 52:14Speaker 4: got more to discuss. We're talking about Lindsay Clancy. We
- 52:16Speaker 4: got a couple of other things up our sleeve the
- 52:19Speaker 4: rest of this hour, plus the power hour coming up
- 52:22Speaker 4: in the third hour of the show. Do not miss it.
- 52:25Speaker 4: I am Rich Valdez.
- 52:27Speaker 5: This is America.
- 52:31Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 53:24Speaker 5: Bye.
