- 0:01Speaker 1: Yeah, welcome back.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's the north Florida Sports Network.
- 0:09Speaker 1: We're going to talk about the NCAA.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Woohoo, we're going after.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Tennessee now.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, volunteers, season's over, it's time for legal proceedings and one, two, three.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Our Old Truck Baker settled in In his coming after.
- 0:33Speaker 1: First it was FSU 12C Tennessee.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Right, well it man this is.
- 0:51Speaker 2: This could quite possibly lead to the death of the NCAA.
- 0:54Speaker 2: My opinion it starts.
- 0:58Speaker 2: It starts here.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Well, it's just going to take one school to just say are you sure, yeah, they found their school.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, if they've apparently already filed lawsuit attorney generals in Tennessee and the state of Virginia.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So it's getting.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It's getting real man.
- 1:21Speaker 2: All right, I just did this.
- 1:25Speaker 1: NIL stuff is well, you know you honestly, well, we would you think that was going to happen.
- 1:31Speaker 1: You had a set of guidelines quote guidelines, quote, unquote that you could follow, I mean, but there was no rules against them.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Well, there were no, there were no you didn't tell them what there were.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Now, all right, there was no precedent.
- 1:47Speaker 2: There was no history of teams running afoul and then getting punished and well, you can't do that without having a set limit.
- 1:55Speaker 1: And there's, they just went ahead of the book.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well it's very broadly defined as what you couldn't do, and essentially it was.
- 2:02Speaker 2: You can't use name, image and likeness to quote unquote induce players to attend your program, attend your school.
- 2:12Speaker 2: That's how they you know that can be interpreted.
- 2:15Speaker 2: You know they didn't define what that meant or any kind of limits or any any shit like that.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Well, why?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Why, for this very reason.
- 2:25Speaker 2: That's so what?
- 2:27Speaker 1: now?
- 2:27Speaker 1: Well, they had no control.
- 2:28Speaker 2: They had no ability to get well, and yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So, what you've what, what, what, what's happening, but you can't do it Right.
- 2:36Speaker 2: What's happened with Tennessee?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Is Nico I am a Leiva or whatever yeah, the quarterback, you know he entered into an agreement with a separate sports agency before he enrolled at Tennessee and that sports agency, um, spire Sports Group, is maintaining that they entered into that agreement with this young man independently of the University of Tennessee and would have done so regardless where this kid signed.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Now that's where it gets, you know, that's where it gets murky, like the NCAA obviously doesn't believe that, but I don't think there's really any way they can prove, you know, short of there being like a paper trail of Tennessee big wigs, like writing checks to people, which there won't be.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Um, yeah, so Thursday just saying, hey, they gave him a for like a contract.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Right, right, and it's become public record.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Now it's out on the internet.
- 3:37Speaker 2: You know it was.
- 3:39Speaker 2: It was a term, I guess.
- 3:41Speaker 2: They gave him like what, 350,000 upfront and then if he fulfilled the contract, so to speak, or played his entire career through Tennessee, he would make upwards of like $8 million and then they Spire Sports Group would have a percentage of his future earnings, I guess at the professional level, something like that.
- 3:59Speaker 2: It was one of those type of contracts, but it was, you know, according to Spire Sports Group's lawyers, motivated more by them knowing he was a hot shot high school quarterback, no matter where he went, he was gonna be worth a lot of money.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Right, so what the NCAA is doing and this is just one case with Tennessee.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:25Speaker 2: But at the center of their NIL investigation.
- 4:28Speaker 2: What tipped them off and got them looking into Tennessee's athletic department was this kid and him signing and all the alleged $8 million and anything like that.
- 4:38Speaker 2: So and then investigating Tennessee.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So what's gonna be the rule, though?
- 4:44Speaker 1: You say you punish now, but what are you supposed to do?
- 4:46Speaker 1: Just not do that.
- 4:48Speaker 1: No money there, because then but it's legal to do.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Well, you're not allowed to use it to entice players.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You know you can't.
- 4:59Speaker 2: There can't be record of you.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Right, right, it's done, but we can't know that you're doing it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It's basically what they're saying.
- 5:06Speaker 1: That's just inevitably going to end.
- 5:09Speaker 2: That's what the NCAA has always been.
- 5:11Speaker 2: What Chip.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Kelly said the NCAA just hurry up and happen.
- 5:14Speaker 2: So what's gonna happen here?
- 5:15Speaker 1: It's gonna happen in the courts.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Is there.
- 5:17Speaker 2: You know Tennessee reportedly very concerned that the NCAA is looking to make an example out of an athletic department.
- 5:25Speaker 2: They're already on probation because of what went on with Jeremy Pruitt.
- 5:29Speaker 2: That's another huge factor here and why the NCAA has kind of targeted them.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It's like you know what, if anybody should have been like listening to what we were saying, it should have been you guys.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but we're trying to win.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So where the wrinkle comes in is that this company very well may have entered into that contract with NICO independently of Tennessee.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So now the University of Tennessee has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA, seeking to ban them from enforcing any rules of NIL being used to induce recruits.
- 6:08Speaker 2: You know, any kind of rules against players entering into NIL before they enroll in school?
- 6:14Speaker 2: Any of that Basically ruled?
- 6:16Speaker 1: that the NCAA can eat shit.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Do something yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 2: And that's what's gonna happen, like this is going to the courts.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I mean, once you allow them to make money off of it, what did you think?
- 6:27Speaker 1: That they weren't going to do it Right?
- 6:29Speaker 1: And it's going to be proposed that now they can only make a certain amount and put it in a trust, the cat's already out of the bag.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Like, are you gonna put it back in now and then they're gonna try that that's gonna come down to some player.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Well, this is you know.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Gonna take that to the court.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You can't restrict my potential earnings right now.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I mean because Right, and this is all the result of the NCAA refusing to address this.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Well, yeah, they've refused to allow schools to pay players, pay athletes, treat them like employees.
- 7:05Speaker 2: They just refuse to do it and they put their foot down and now look what happened.
- 7:10Speaker 2: You know, stuff got taken to the Supreme Court.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:14Speaker 2: The whole NIL thing just blew up on them Right.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And they have no control over anything.
- 7:19Speaker 1: This is what this is is trying to reach out Right.
- 7:23Speaker 2: And the moment this goes to court and a judge rules that you know what NCAA, you can't tell these schools that they can't have kids entering into deals, which is already what the TV networks knew.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And this is what already kind of what they've already been involved in.
- 7:40Speaker 2: That's what I'd been saying for a few years, and when that happens, then it's kind of like I mean they've saw that on the wall and it's just okay.
- 7:48Speaker 1: What Picking shoes?
- 7:49Speaker 1: The schools that are gonna get picked out here?
- 7:52Speaker 1: But I mean it could be all of them.
- 7:56Speaker 1: No, it means just the ones that can afford it.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I mean not everyone can afford it.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Yeah so you're gonna have different tiers.
- 8:03Speaker 1: But to extra, pick one out of the pick Tennessee out.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Or to pick Florida State or pick Florida.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Well, mine for what Well it depends on what you believe with Florida, so with.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Florida say it was leaving the guy there to talk to some buddy.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You know right?
- 8:20Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Tennessee is because right no, well, tennessee is because they they had this kid, get all this money and he came to play quarterback and it was I mean, dude, you didn't, you didn't have to like fact check very much like he definitely got the money.
- 8:35Speaker 2: It showed up to Tennessee, paid, paid and and taken care of, and that you know, just like Florida State, that mims kid definitely came and visited Florida State and got in there.
- 8:47Speaker 2: You know, and that's all the NCAA needs.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Now they probably just they saw that they went through it with a fine tooth comb, like the only thing we can pop you guys for is Coach Ackens left the room so and Florida State wisely negotiated it.
- 9:03Speaker 2: All right, dude, we'll just take care of it.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Ncaa had a bigger fish fry.
- 9:06Speaker 1: They have their other court case going on, Right well, ncaa had a bigger case, yeah.
- 9:10Speaker 1: They had a bigger case and now we know what it is, that Tennessee doesn't have another conference.
- 9:16Speaker 1: They know where their conference is at.
- 9:17Speaker 1: They figured it out, hey, we're gonna pay these players or whatever the hell.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But once you need to have some sort of agreement, but it be amongst the schools that are involved.
- 9:30Speaker 1: That's what you should be working towards, not trying to penalize them for doing what everyone was allowed to do.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing, is they like I said?
- 9:44Speaker 2: It's-.
- 9:45Speaker 1: There needs to be a collective bargaining.
- 9:46Speaker 2: You guys aren't gonna listen to us.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Just like there is You're not gonna follow the guidelines like we better not see it happening.
- 9:52Speaker 2: That's basically what it is.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Keep the shit off the internet.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And that's what-?
- 9:58Speaker 2: Well, that's not yeah, no everybody who's gotten in trouble has had that happen to them.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Right, that's true.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Everything made the internet.
- 10:05Speaker 1: That's gonna happen.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It's gonna keep happening Some people.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Some teams run a tighter ship than others, man?
- 10:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You just learn your lessons, yeah and it's, but they I think the NCAA bit off more than they could chew with Tennessee.
- 10:19Speaker 2: They're not, they're just not gonna have it.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Oh, speed it yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 2: And that's the only.
- 10:25Speaker 2: That is the game in town for the entire state of Tennessee.
- 10:29Speaker 2: That is their pride and joy in terms of big time football.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Like nah, they're gonna take you to the courts.
- 10:36Speaker 2: They got a really good case.
- 10:38Speaker 2: If this Spire Sports Group can hold up in court that they really were gonna enter into this contract with this kid.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I mean if he was a highly rated recruit, right.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it makes sense, it makes sense.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Everybody knows these kids now.
- 10:51Speaker 1: You knew that eventually this was going to trickle down-.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Five-star, five-star quarterback from California Is going to wanna take assurances on his potential.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Just like I remember kids doing with insurance policies.
- 11:07Speaker 1: For the draft, Exactly this is the same thing.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It's trickled down now for NIL Yep.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Now kids wanna make sure that they're covered when, before in case something happens.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Well, I can sign with this agency.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Who's going to?
- 11:21Speaker 2: ensure that I do this Money up front.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Money up front.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Now.
- 11:23Speaker 2: It's a giant risk for the kid.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Now, hey, now who's to say that Tennessee's gonna?
- 11:27Speaker 1: Now, probably they did.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Who knows, who knows and who cares?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Because it's gonna.
- 11:34Speaker 1: The other kids are paying other schools and that's what you have to have.
- 11:38Speaker 1: You have to have money to pay the players.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:41Speaker 1: What you need to do is come to a collective agreement of what.
- 11:44Speaker 1: What's the to what At a certain amount.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Let's do this.
- 11:49Speaker 2: You wanna add an illegal amount for the?
- 11:51Speaker 2: You just look at the NFL man, Right?
- 11:53Speaker 2: I mean, if you, if you just acknowledge the fact that you use these kids that play football and all these student athletes, you use them as employees to generate income for your school.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:07Speaker 2: They should let all the players they refuse to acknowledge that All the players get maybe a set baseline.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Cause you guys get to go school and get to go, so you can get rid of that.
- 12:14Speaker 1: We're all getting paid this amount, okay, based on this rule that we set apart, and everything else is hey, he's in a commercial or doing that, or he's got this and he's making money off that, but he can still go to school and, like, have a business in any other profession.
- 12:33Speaker 2: So it's I mean it's the NCAA.
- 12:36Speaker 2: They're a bully organization.
- 12:38Speaker 2: They're set to get up with the times they're they're basically an enforcement agency now that has not had any real power for at least the last five years.
- 12:46Speaker 1: We're gonna find out, because Tennessee's the the book, they have the funds.
- 12:52Speaker 1: They're gonna battle that they're not gonna right and it goes it goes throughout, it's, it's throughout their athletic department.
- 12:57Speaker 1: They're coming down.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Basketball, baseball.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Women's sports I don't know, I can't remember the number of NIL.
- 13:04Speaker 1: So this would be a precedent.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, all right.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Any, any instance of a kid Getting money playing at Tennessee is probably gonna be cited as a violation.
- 13:14Speaker 2: And and if the gossip girl machine, the rumors on the internet, are true, then then they're looking at postseason bands, cross sports.
- 13:23Speaker 2: They're not gonna take that.
- 13:24Speaker 2: You have no choice but to fight that and they got a case.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They got a case if we knew this was gonna happen.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah it's just happening right.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I mean this.
- 13:33Speaker 1: This realignment is coming as we move.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You know, if you talk about Florida State, you know they just Advise their document right and well, include a bunch of stuff that we we've been talking about.
- 13:46Speaker 1: The Greensboro Forever man oh yeah, the law there.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Amendment to the lawsuit and and finally, calling out John Swaffer.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah by name right, which I mean I.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I should have done it to begin with.
- 14:00Speaker 2: That guy has been a pain in the dick since excuse my language since Florida State got in the ACC.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Well, that's just yeah he was an opponent to Florida State joining to begin with, you know, when he was the AD at UNC and he got told to kind of go have a coke and a smile, right, just let the grown folks do it.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Something needs to happen.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah right now, it's just Well.
- 14:24Speaker 1: You have Florida State at court.
- 14:26Speaker 1: You're gonna be at court to leave the conference.
- 14:28Speaker 1: To go where to?
- 14:30Speaker 1: What a big 10 or an SEC right.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Well, I think that Florida State is kind of Everybody.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Any school, any athletics party, any, any administration is just like dude.
- 14:42Speaker 2: We don't know what the NCAA, what, what college if, because we're gonna look like five years, we're gonna send the women's basketball team or the men's basketball team or the or any other sport.
- 14:53Speaker 1: It's not generating the funding that football does.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We're gonna send them to the cow yeah, to play right, and I'm gonna do yeah, let's send the soccer team over there.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Cross, you know yeah, I mean, you look at, you look at how women and diving team Across over there.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You know, there's hope.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I saw something cal cal's football team is gonna travel.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I think the amount it takes to go around the world at this football in terms of back and forth- it's ridiculous.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Yeah it just should be more like the NFL and just like make it right where we play or organ say it is choosing to stay independent.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You can still go to school and play.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Yeah, in baseball, I think.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I don't know if they they chose not to join a conference in baseball due to you know those kind of things, and I mean You're just seeing the, the, the college sports conferences need to get who cares about it.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I mean a conference really, and this has been Whenever since the SEC started chancing that crap.
- 15:58Speaker 2: It's almost like they've enforced it upon themselves what they started originally was for there was a TV deal.
- 16:03Speaker 1: They thought yeah TV really cares about other schools.
- 16:07Speaker 2: They helped schools travel right.
- 16:09Speaker 2: They paid for things like schools traveling.
- 16:11Speaker 2: You know, it's certain things should be a league Really there should be a league right.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah there should be a league of certain amount of teams that either you know they're on this level or you're on, you know below and it's gonna have to be done.
- 16:24Speaker 1: You know it'd be really cool if they had delegation and really, like the overseas, that would be neat.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you could do that and like, hey, you, you know you fire coaches.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Or like, hey, you have to earn it.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Yeah that would never happen.
- 16:38Speaker 2: No, it's never gonna happen.
- 16:39Speaker 2: It's gonna be driven by money for the rest of the let the money happen.
- 16:43Speaker 1: If you want to put a cap on it or something, do it something where it's agreed upon everyone involved.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah not, not by conferences, by school.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I think what you're gonna happen is there's gonna be schools that can Conferences actually football should be separated sustain themselves away from any kind of organization that can, you know, operate their, their football team and their football program Well, make a profit or, on a positive, still, get the great players maybe like 20 teams in the country right Financially.
- 17:16Speaker 2: That can make that kind of commitment to football and that'll be the big-time college.
- 17:20Speaker 2: That's it.
- 17:21Speaker 2: That's what I mean.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and then everybody else will play under whatever kind of shell the NCAA is.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yes, what's?
- 17:27Speaker 1: happening on every level, so what's happening in basketball?
- 17:29Speaker 2: collegiate sports association, csa.
- 17:32Speaker 1: What look at?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Look at this how the ACC has gotten bad and how the SEC has gotten good in basketball.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Yeah and what's been going on right you know, coincidentally, driven by money right what's been going on.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Coincidentally, a lot more money's been poured into the SEC.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Okay, so a lot more teams are getting better.
- 17:51Speaker 2: A lot more money's getting poured into the big 12 A lot of teams are getting better, like, oh, has to do with everything now and you have to have better, you know, but it's not.
- 18:00Speaker 2: They don't have good stuff, but but look at the coaches in the SEC right, you saw, look what the buzz left.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yeah, buzz left he left Virginia Tech to go to Texas a man.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Oh, I mean.
- 18:12Speaker 1: We've been saying that football is on the top with this sports like baseball.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Look at it.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I mean, come on, it's a whole another Right entirely.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Baseball might be the most like they might be ahead by the most out of any sport.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Right ball that conference in terms of everything.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Facilities exactly like there's just not anybody else close exactly, and that's pretty much every school in the SEC for baseball.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Like there isn't.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I mean there might be a couple stadiums.
- 18:46Speaker 1: They're a little bit subpar and that can pair to the entire Season and they can dominate that more right now and it's just.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I mean, it's insane.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Lsu's baseball team just one or two guys, pretty much have just bankrolled that thing into being the dominant program in the country Arkansas.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Same deal, man, you go to their facilities just like those are state of the art gonna start all facilities.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I in terms of you to figure out, yeah that, and they're gonna start picking on right like the money.
- 19:19Speaker 2: The money definitely makes a difference in football, but where you really see it is those other sports.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Right, like they've just lapped the field and it's.
- 19:27Speaker 2: I mean, come on, you know, if you're, if you're a team in the ACC, to me that should be the biggest Grip teams in the ACC, the biggest you know if they're gonna point in in courtroom and when I draw attention to something to a judge or anybody, it's like look at our other sports compared to the SEC's and what they pull in from that deal.
- 19:49Speaker 1: There you go, they're getting all the people's jobs, but don't swoffered son.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Let got kept his job.
- 19:54Speaker 2: They had to keep it on.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Ray Kong, man man.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Only.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Only good thing that came out of that was Doc Walker.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Rest in peace.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Dude was just this man, he was the best, but seriously, like that's the shadiest backroom dealing, total, total Blue Ridge Mountain, greensboro, greensboro, man, greensboro.
- 20:16Speaker 2: So I gotta say to back you rude and what's.
- 20:19Speaker 2: What's interesting is I think the UNC really might be getting ready to try to leave the conference too, and it's inevitable there, they're the big target.
- 20:28Speaker 1: They're going to the SEC.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know what's crazy is he was the AD, swofford was the AD at UNC, and then then you know, the commissioner of the league.
- 20:36Speaker 2: If he had any vision whatsoever in terms of football UNC would have been right there doing what, what Clemson's doing.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Mm-hmm you know, but he, they, the conference catered to basketball so much that that They've just been treading water and they continue to.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple good seasons in the 90s and then that's.
- 20:55Speaker 2: That's pretty much what you got.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Well, it's dead, yeah it's, it's on, it's already hit the iceberg, you know.
- 21:03Speaker 1: If now it's now, it's all onto the conference.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Ships looking for lifeboats here.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean we're looking for survive.
- 21:11Speaker 2: It'd be great to be able to go independent, but nobody's got that money.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Nobody's got that money.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Notre Dame wouldn't even be able to do it if they didn't have an exclusive contract with NBC, right, I mean you?
- 21:23Speaker 1: just funded by that right, you can't foot that bill the reason why they don't go to one is because NBC was like nah.
- 21:31Speaker 2: No, no yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so they make it lucrative enough for them never to leave, so they're only you have something on that lined up.
- 21:39Speaker 1: That was the go for it.
- 21:42Speaker 2: That was the original model.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Like they struck that deal right way back well, maybe that's what we're you're in for.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean right now conferences, that's Line up and dictate the TV schedule, but they're in the same leagues as other conferences, but they're not.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Well held to the same rules that work or they're getting paid literally more money by the.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It's, it's it's Disney and Fox.
- 22:13Speaker 2: They run every right, yeah, they're everything in college football.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So then you have Charlie Baker coming in trying to be like hey, now.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he, he, I Again, I'm not sure what they still do in terms of football.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Every once in a while, try to try to flex their muscle and, and you know, enforce some rules.
- 22:37Speaker 1: This.
- 22:37Speaker 1: They don't do decide anything in basketball.
- 22:39Speaker 1: No way too long.
- 22:41Speaker 1: No, or take a basketball player and suspend him half the season for a flight.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, for a flight they paid back.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Absolute clown show 16 games for a plane ticket.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Tennessee's is gonna be like okay sure.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean what enforcement that'll be.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Will they get some sort of like deal?
- 23:05Speaker 1: I?
- 23:07Speaker 2: Don't.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I don't think they're gonna there.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Conference of business.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I we're no.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I think this guy, I think he's going the AD at next savings in charge of all football now.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I know.
- 23:23Speaker 1: No, it'll be worked out in some executive boardroom.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, you should just let and they want to get the advantage over the competition.
- 23:31Speaker 1: So if you want to hold, withhold the sport here, you need to have some sort of collective bargaining here between the players.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I Mean you're gonna, you're gonna have to turn it into an actual.
- 23:46Speaker 2: It's a series to be tears.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, be tears of like how much you're putting into it.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Well, that right minimum or something because there it's already there.
- 23:54Speaker 2: They're clearly the teams that are just throwing ridiculous amounts of money and you know.
- 24:01Speaker 2: And then other teams that just can't compete at that level.
- 24:04Speaker 2: So you break away.
- 24:06Speaker 2: You got about 20 schools Consistently that can do it.
- 24:11Speaker 2: If that, there's your league, there you go, your elite college football league.
- 24:25Speaker 1: And he's got a new coach, James Cozy baby.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Intercepted by Colby about time.

- 25:09Speaker 2: Of course, man.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I mean, it's a, it's a coaching search.
- 25:13Speaker 2: There's gonna be a whole lot of politics in that.

- 25:21Speaker 1: Senior balls going on.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Yeah, a few guys get this ski, this day.

- 25:57Speaker 2: Combines and pro day has got a lot to do with a lot I'm.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I mean, dude, if Keon Coleman runs a four-four, you're not not drafting that guy's first round.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Right once the receivers go.
- 26:08Speaker 2: They tend to go and I know that there's a couple guys that people like once one over.
