- 1:20Speaker 2: By the way, Oh that's going on tennis. How dare
- 1:24Speaker 2: you golf gaff? Oh? Yeah, day one of the US
- 1:27Speaker 2: Open for golf today. Super excited as you might imagine.
- 1:30Speaker 2: You said, golf gaff, gaff, gaff, golf gaff. You used
- 1:33Speaker 2: to be called gaff or golf No F I think no,
- 1:36Speaker 2: l yeah, I think it's golf. It used to be
- 1:40Speaker 2: just golf. Oh wow. Yeah.
- 1:43Speaker 3: To answer your original question, I'm having a good day
- 1:47Speaker 3: because my van slip on.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Well they graduated. Oh did they really? Yep, they're done.
- 1:52Speaker 3: If you have a pair of any shoe slip bonds,
- 1:55Speaker 3: sometimes their slip bonds, well they graduate.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Do you you know what I'm talking.
- 1:59Speaker 4: About jack to what because I have Van slip ons
- 2:01Speaker 4: and they went to a new stage. I don't call
- 2:05Speaker 4: it graduating.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Well, I call it graduating is whenever you just stop
- 2:08Speaker 3: caring about the back of the shoe, okay, and then
- 2:11Speaker 3: they become like super slip ons.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:13Speaker 3: There's always a point in a shoe where you kind
- 2:15Speaker 3: of just put the jersey up and the rafters.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I did that today with slip ons. You you you
- 2:21Speaker 2: retired a pair of slip ons.
- 2:22Speaker 3: They but I just smashed the back of them. Oh
- 2:24Speaker 3: I see, you know, I needed to take out the trash.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I wanted to do it even faster, so I just said,
- 2:29Speaker 3: there's no more rules with these shoes.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Van slip ons.
- 2:32Speaker 4: They're fun, they're they're kind of a nice aesthetic to them,
- 2:35Speaker 4: but at the quality of a shoe.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah, my wife did that with Chucks. Her whole thing
- 2:40Speaker 2: that she got to shed a pair of Chucks to
- 2:42Speaker 2: get to that point where they were right at that
- 2:44Speaker 2: age where it was like, you know, gonna make a
- 2:45Speaker 2: decision on them, and she just started sliding them on
- 2:48Speaker 2: and crushing the back of them. Yep.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, there's only a certain kind of shoe that
- 2:52Speaker 3: can crush the back of them and then give that experience.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I could never do that. That would drive me crazy. Dude,
- 2:58Speaker 2: Standing on the standing on the not that is that now?
- 3:01Speaker 2: It's like having a sock on that's not right, like
- 3:03Speaker 2: a doubled up sock. Yeah yeah, man, you guys haven't
- 3:07Speaker 2: been there though.
- 3:08Speaker 3: What do you mean we haven't been there? You haven't
- 3:10Speaker 3: tried to ask that? You just both confess to not trying.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I would never do it. Why would you do that?
- 3:15Speaker 5: Like?
- 3:15Speaker 2: I know, I don't like something under my heel like that.
- 3:18Speaker 4: It's it's like when your shoelace is inside your shoe
- 3:21Speaker 4: and you're like, wait, something's not right, and then.
- 3:23Speaker 2: You pull it out and it's just like, oh, yes.
- 3:26Speaker 3: It's very different than the shoelace out of the shoe.
- 3:29Speaker 3: But Jack is right, it is somewhat of a shoe
- 3:32Speaker 3: orgasm whenever you take that shoelace out, and it just like,
- 3:35Speaker 3: you know.
- 3:36Speaker 2: There's something up. Not as orgasmic for me as it
- 3:38Speaker 2: is for Jack. Super important. Everybody know that does not
- 3:41Speaker 2: have that effect on me. I don't make that sound.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's like.
- 3:45Speaker 3: It's literally the reason why crocs exist. They blew the
- 3:49Speaker 3: back sound of their shoes. They just pre blew them out.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. That's the New York Knicks prepare for
- 3:55Speaker 2: their is it take or Take parade they're doing in
- 3:57Speaker 2: downtown New York. Oh yeah, they they did it. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 2: So I need to turn out. Well it's a while, man,
- 4:04Speaker 2: I'm a little jealous of that. It wouldn't it be
- 4:06Speaker 2: great to have that in a city. Isn't that almost
- 4:08Speaker 2: like one of those indicators that maybe you're growing up
- 4:12Speaker 2: a little bit as a city, Like you win a
- 4:13Speaker 2: championship your sports team and then everybody comes downtown and
- 4:18Speaker 2: everybody's like throwing confetti and like having a great time,
- 4:21Speaker 2: like rallying around something like that. We've never experienced anything
- 4:24Speaker 2: like that in Central Forth. That'd be cool. It would be,
- 4:26Speaker 2: But there's still hope though.
- 4:28Speaker 7: I mean, it took the next fifty three years to
- 4:29Speaker 7: be able to celebrate it.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Yeah, they had a pretty big celebration for the Orlando
- 4:34Speaker 4: Pride when they won their championship. Yeah, that was down there,
- 4:37Speaker 4: but it's not on the level of you have the
- 4:39Speaker 4: Canyon of Heroes in New York that is the premium
- 4:43Speaker 4: when it comes to tick or tape parades and you know,
- 4:46Speaker 4: from John Glenn or Neil Armstrong the Yankee win, then
- 4:51Speaker 4: all the sports teams and the Yankees.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so it'd be kind of cool to have a
- 4:55Speaker 2: little history of that. We don't have that quite yet.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I mean, you're right, the Pride did win. I should
- 4:59Speaker 2: have left them out, but you know, to have the
- 5:01Speaker 2: Magic win would be great because that's our big you know,
- 5:03Speaker 2: that's our big franchise in town. You know, yeah, they'd
- 5:05Speaker 2: be kind of cool.
- 5:07Speaker 3: And throwing this out here because I always feel like
- 5:09Speaker 3: I feel obligated to mention is that, Yes, the Orlando
- 5:13Speaker 3: Magic have not won the finals. However, there are plenty
- 5:17Speaker 3: of teams that haven't even made it to the final.
- 5:20Speaker 3: You are correct, historically speaking, we are not even remotely
- 5:23Speaker 3: close to being like you know.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Cleveland, no twice. Minnesota, actually, I think is the worst.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I think Minnesota is the city that's had the most
- 5:33Speaker 2: major franchises with the fewest national championship wins across the board.
- 5:38Speaker 3: How about do you know what's even I just found
- 5:40Speaker 3: this out. The Clippers, they've been around for a long time,
- 5:44Speaker 3: they haven't made it to the final. Yea, yeah, we've
- 5:46Speaker 3: been there twice.
- 5:47Speaker 2: When football, there's a couple of teams in football that
- 5:50Speaker 2: have never been to the Super Bowl, right plenty. Yeah,
- 5:52Speaker 2: so it happens. I mean, I'm not mad about it.
- 5:55Speaker 2: We do. We have two new clues coming up. The
- 5:58Speaker 2: final clues for the Searcher contests are coming up here
- 6:01Speaker 2: in just a few minutes. And I got to tell
- 6:02Speaker 2: you I kind of want it to get found today.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I kind of want I do. I tell you why, man,
- 6:09Speaker 2: because I kind of want somebody. Jack said it perfectly yesterday.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I want somebody to be able to give this to
- 6:13Speaker 2: their dad. I mean, I don't know that that's what
- 6:15Speaker 2: they'll do, but you know, if that's what you plan
- 6:16Speaker 2: on doing, if you do find the big Green egg
- 6:19Speaker 2: courtesy of our friends of our tools Ace Hardware, if
- 6:21Speaker 2: you're able to find that, I would like the idea
- 6:24Speaker 2: of somebody giving it to their dad on Father's Day
- 6:26Speaker 2: as a gift. You know, we won't be able to
- 6:28Speaker 2: get them the grill that fast because it takes time
- 6:30Speaker 2: to deliver it and stuff.
- 6:31Speaker 7: Oh and even better surprise, because Dad's just going to
- 6:33Speaker 7: see a small box and go great, another pair of
- 6:35Speaker 7: sacks on the road.
- 6:38Speaker 2: But they'll have a certificate in the show. And what
- 6:40Speaker 2: that stands for and everything, So that'd be kind of cool.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Uh So I but and I do think, I do
- 6:46Speaker 2: think that with the clues that are coming today, it's
- 6:48Speaker 2: going to isolate it to a point where I believe
- 6:51Speaker 2: more than likely somebody will stumble around and maybe find
- 6:54Speaker 2: it today. I don't know that that's the case. I
- 6:57Speaker 2: have to search for your email so I can post
- 6:59Speaker 2: the fire two clues, Yeah, yeah, on the website real
- 7:02Speaker 2: Radio dot FM slash A, So today I'll read the
- 7:05Speaker 2: entire thing, uh, and that you'll know that the last
- 7:08Speaker 2: two stanzas are the final clues for the searcher asof contest.
- 7:13Speaker 2: And really it's only one of those because the final
- 7:15Speaker 2: one is just a thank you, but you'll you'll hear
- 7:17Speaker 2: that in a second.
- 7:18Speaker 6: The puzzle Master, Yeah, he's a Crypti fellow who's on
- 7:23Speaker 6: the radio waves giving people hints and puzzles for that.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Kind of stuff. Ever entertain you at all as a kid? Yes,
- 7:32Speaker 2: Why you're acting out and doing a weird voice. It's
- 7:35Speaker 2: funny because dev says it gives her anxiety, which is
- 7:37Speaker 2: kind of wild.
- 7:38Speaker 7: Well, it gives me anxiety just because you've put a
- 7:40Speaker 7: week of work into writing the stanzas you've secured the
- 7:45Speaker 7: big green egg all of the other accouterment. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 7: and one wrong slip off, just one wrong slip up
- 7:52Speaker 7: and the next thing. You know how many segments I've
- 7:55Speaker 7: ruined by pre guessing something.
- 7:58Speaker 4: It's also like when you give the the clues in
- 8:01Speaker 4: Jim Culbert So Trivia, you give the four things, I
- 8:04Speaker 4: have to tell myself not to react to them because
- 8:07Speaker 4: I might give away like like one that on the
- 8:11Speaker 4: Daily Trivia confirming that that would be live because I'm
- 8:15Speaker 4: aware of it.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So I'm like, shut your mouth. Dev's got the headshake down.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I'll kind of as I'm reading that, and occasionally I'll
- 8:21Speaker 2: look over and Deb is like shaking her head and
- 8:22Speaker 2: smiling as if she knows the faky. Oh, there's a
- 8:25Speaker 2: tell for people who watch on YouTube. That's the reason
- 8:28Speaker 2: you should watch on YouTube, maybe what you can do
- 8:30Speaker 2: for free.
- 8:31Speaker 7: But then when I was reading the text messages, I
- 8:33Speaker 7: also help my rundown in front of my mouth that
- 8:35Speaker 7: you couldn't lip read.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Oh I like that too, But I believe in the
- 8:39Speaker 2: puzzle mass he's closed to all windows of opportunity for
- 8:44Speaker 2: anything out of his control, any big plans for Father's
- 8:50Speaker 2: Day this weekend.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Their nerd. Dude, I just found out we're not supposed
- 8:53Speaker 3: to do whatever we want.
- 8:54Speaker 2: What do you mean? I don't think that's true.
- 8:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:57Speaker 3: That was a huge topic on between Joel because he's
- 9:00Speaker 3: had a bunch of Father's Days. I have not, and
- 9:03Speaker 3: I figured out, uh, oh, it is supposed to be
- 9:06Speaker 3: exactly what you want to do.
- 9:07Speaker 8: Oh.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I planned on like golfing, getting drunk, and then all
- 9:10Speaker 3: of a sudden I realized, like, yeah, man, that's that's
- 9:12Speaker 3: a bad look.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Yeah that's not a I am playing golf that morning,
- 9:16Speaker 2: but but we already have plans for the afternoon with
- 9:19Speaker 2: the kids. He yep, yep, see that part. Yeah, but
- 9:21Speaker 2: I mean, but my kids are grown as you're grown
- 9:25Speaker 2: ass people.
- 9:26Speaker 7: But isn't it interesting The difference though, Like the gift
- 9:29Speaker 7: for Mother's Day is for dad to take the kids
- 9:31Speaker 7: for a few hours and go away, but then on
- 9:34Speaker 7: Father's Day, fathers are expected to actually reserve some time
- 9:38Speaker 7: to hang out with the kids.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Yeah, that's because for three hundred and sixty four days
- 9:42Speaker 4: mom has the kids there, you go, so one day
- 9:45Speaker 4: a year the dad should be in charge of it.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Only a six speaks an absolute Oh my god, if
- 9:50Speaker 2: you say that one more blanking time, he's gonna say
- 9:52Speaker 2: it all. I'm gonna tear your tongue out with my toes.
- 9:55Speaker 3: There are plenty of men, Yeah, there.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Are plenty of dads out there putting in the Lord's work.
- 10:04Speaker 2: They are, you know, stepping up. But there should be
- 10:06Speaker 2: a time where dad's like should have some time to
- 10:09Speaker 2: their selves, Like, let me, Father's Day is twenty four hours.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Like if you're I mean, like alone time in the bathroom.
- 10:14Speaker 2: If you're dad, If your dad wants to go out
- 10:17Speaker 2: play golf that morning, you know what, schedule Father's Day
- 10:20Speaker 2: stuff that afternoon, then it's still Father's Day. You're still
- 10:23Speaker 2: celebrating Pop. You can still pull it off. And that's
- 10:26Speaker 2: what I mean. But the dad should, like if the
- 10:28Speaker 2: dad wasn't, you know, fishing on Father's Day, he should
- 10:30Speaker 2: be able to go fishing on Father's Day or hunting
- 10:33Speaker 2: or whatever the case may be. But that there's a
- 10:35Speaker 2: certain time, like okay, it should be like, honey, at
- 10:38Speaker 2: four o'clock, don't plan anything at for four o'clock. We're
- 10:40Speaker 2: gonna do some stuff for Father's Day. We're gonna do
- 10:42Speaker 2: the whole dinner thing, whatever, the case may be. But
- 10:44Speaker 2: dad should have some time to himself on Father's Day.
- 10:47Speaker 2: But but not the whole day, not the entire day. No, See,
- 10:50Speaker 2: that's what I'm talking about. Remember it's for your kids
- 10:52Speaker 2: as well, Bob. I mean, yes, but your dad's past.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not dogging you, but I mean to
- 11:00Speaker 2: go Ross. But you don't have a father. You don't
- 11:02Speaker 2: have a father to kind of celebrate. So you're to
- 11:05Speaker 2: celebrate tea, So you have to be you have to
- 11:08Speaker 2: be celebrated, That's what I'm saying. But that the entire
- 11:11Speaker 2: day you can't go and get hammered. Your son wills
- 11:13Speaker 2: to spend some time with you.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I'm trying to celebrate myself the way I want to
- 11:16Speaker 3: celebrate myself, which is golf, alcohol, edibles, movies.
- 11:24Speaker 2: It's not out of the question.
- 11:26Speaker 3: That's a twelve hour window you can. You can come along.
- 11:29Speaker 3: I'm not gonna I'm not gonna be a.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Good day today. Hear that, you can come along.
- 11:34Speaker 9: I'll put you in the golf card.
- 11:36Speaker 10: I'm not gonna be a good dad on Fathers of Old,
- 11:39Speaker 10: days of old, days.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Of the year to be a good dad.
- 11:42Speaker 3: It's that day, see, And I'm over here on the
- 11:44Speaker 3: other side of the aisle of I'm thinking, like, that's.
- 11:46Speaker 2: The one day you get to be a bad dad.
- 11:48Speaker 2: It's not the way. I don't think that's the way
- 11:51Speaker 2: it's negotiated, buddy. Well, you are correct. It's the day
- 11:56Speaker 2: you're supposed to be celebrated by your family, in your
- 12:00Speaker 2: and your children. I mean, that's what's gonna happen for me.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I get to sit around and watch my kids make
- 12:04Speaker 2: jokes about me while I hammer Margarita.
- 12:06Speaker 11: See.
- 12:06Speaker 2: The whole time, I'm thinking, like Father's Day. Hell, yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 2: I'm off, you know, I get to do whatever I want. Yea, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 2: I thought that was the thing, but I guess, well, Jack,
- 12:18Speaker 2: what are you doing? Are you taking the entire day
- 12:20Speaker 2: off and doing what you want? Just have your kids
- 12:22Speaker 2: just sit around and wait for you to get home.
- 12:23Speaker 2: One o okay, good see like you can hear me
- 12:26Speaker 2: back there are you doing that? What are you doing?
- 12:29Speaker 2: Turn your mic on?
- 12:31Speaker 12: Where's he?
- 12:32Speaker 5: Oh?
- 12:33Speaker 2: God? Yeah, we're going to the third dimension here, we're
- 12:36Speaker 2: breaking the I'm not sure where he's coming in from.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Turn him up?
- 12:41Speaker 3: No, I mean there there, we got a hack Maine
- 12:46Speaker 3: frames to get into the here. This never happens. Oh
- 12:49Speaker 3: you can't. You can't cross streams between the show.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I guess not. Seeling's gonna have come in there and
- 12:54Speaker 2: tell him how to turn his mic on, and he's
- 12:57Speaker 2: laughing about that.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I love it, Saria. You there, No, I turned on
- 13:04Speaker 4: the thing that says Sea Lane's mike. All right, let's
- 13:09Speaker 4: see these clues real quick. Maybe we can get Sea
- 13:11Speaker 4: lanes opinion here in a few minutes. What I don't,
- 13:14Speaker 4: it ain't my fault. You there, he's fine, he's fine.
- 13:18Speaker 4: All right, let's do these clues. Okay, So this is
- 13:20Speaker 4: the search your ACEOV contest. I'll read the entire thing
- 13:23Speaker 4: all the way through, and then we'll have it posted up.
- 13:26Speaker 4: It's a real radio dot FM slash ace. That's real
- 13:29Speaker 4: radio dot FM slash ace. Jack will have it up
- 13:31Speaker 4: in just a few minutes. You're ready to go with that,
- 13:32Speaker 4: by the way, yep? All right, guys, here we go.
- 13:34Speaker 2: We gather once more to venture a tour of three counties,
- 13:37Speaker 2: both far and wide. A chief of tribe and a
- 13:40Speaker 2: fruit to be absolute is where the booty does hide.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It's on public land, so you won't need to stand
- 13:45Speaker 2: on anyone's property. Your place. You won't need to slimmer.
- 13:48Speaker 2: You want need to swim or climb, but some digging
- 13:50Speaker 2: maybe fine to lift it from its space. The land
- 13:53Speaker 2: where it rests was land ho for traveling guests. It's
- 13:56Speaker 2: Bank's a welcoming site. It was once another name and
- 13:59Speaker 2: grew to great But the rail extinguished the light, the
- 14:02Speaker 2: crown jewel of the region. Both Bore and Bass were
- 14:05Speaker 2: in legion. But now it's for all to see. And
- 14:07Speaker 2: amongst this fine place is an interesting space. And this
- 14:11Speaker 2: is where the prize will be. Here are the new clues.
- 14:13Speaker 2: All right, here we go, Here we go, new meat
- 14:15Speaker 2: on the bone. A discipline of stones, each with their
- 14:19Speaker 2: own homes, sentinels of a people kept free behind the
- 14:23Speaker 2: stone and the center. A quick search will render the
- 14:27Speaker 2: prize and a bush for thee. A great thanks we
- 14:31Speaker 2: shall pay to tools ace hardware on this day, the
- 14:34Speaker 2: donor of our treasure. So when projects go awry, please
- 14:38Speaker 2: give them a try. It would certainly be their pleasure.
- 14:41Speaker 2: And there you go. Those are the final points, the
- 14:44Speaker 2: final clues. The search a contest scrolls. So the last
- 14:51Speaker 2: meaty clue was a discipline of stones, each with their
- 14:55Speaker 2: own homes, sentinels of a people kept free behind the
- 14:58Speaker 2: stone and the center. A quick search will render the
- 15:01Speaker 2: prize in a bush for the real radio NFM slash
- 15:05Speaker 2: ace and you can get the home there. Off you go,
- 15:09Speaker 2: you news. Good luck, Yeah, good luck.
- 15:11Speaker 7: Post Tropical Storm Arthur is bringing life threatening flooding to
- 15:15Speaker 7: Florida Highway Patrol troopers are arrested for overtime fraud. And
- 15:19Speaker 7: please avoid chugging your ranch. Oh god, we'll talk about
- 15:25Speaker 7: that and more coming up next during JCS.
- 15:29Speaker 2: No, this is not dude. We already talked about Father's
- 15:36Speaker 2: Day back in a second.
- 15:42Speaker 13: For Father's Day, I get to sit at my house
- 15:46Speaker 13: and watch a gd NASCAR race that I don't care
- 15:49Speaker 13: about and have zero interest in watching because my eighty
- 15:53Speaker 13: year old mother in law is visiting from New Jersey
- 15:56Speaker 13: and God forbid, we don't watch the race.
- 16:01Speaker 2: That is an unhappy dad.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I want all talkbacks to be father days, mad Vince.
- 16:09Speaker 2: You know that's fine with me. I'll do that. Care
- 16:11Speaker 2: one's so funny, Yeah, all right, four seven nine one
- 16:13Speaker 2: six one four one text us seven seven zero three one.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show. We're a radio
- 16:17Speaker 2: one to four point one. If you did not get
- 16:19Speaker 2: to hear the clues for the search or asof contest.
- 16:22Speaker 2: We dropped the final two just a few minutes ago.
- 16:25Speaker 2: They are online Real Radio FM slash Ace if you
- 16:29Speaker 2: visit that again is Real Radio FM. Slash Jack has
- 16:33Speaker 2: them up there. You can download them and off you go.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Hopefully you can find that today. It'd be nice, good luck,
- 16:38Speaker 2: welcome back. I'm Jim Jack and Russell right over there.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Dev has your news. Let's get it.
- 16:44Speaker 1: It's time for JCS news.
- 16:48Speaker 14: Wow.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Is this guy kind of put his name on everything?
- 16:50Speaker 2: It's in my contracted here's the news on the Jim
- 16:53Speaker 2: Colberg Show.
- 16:54Speaker 7: And JCS news is brought to you by that mortgage
- 16:57Speaker 7: guy Don. Post Tropical Storm Arthur may have dissipated, but
- 17:01Speaker 7: its remnants will start making its way over the Florida Panhandle.
- 17:05Speaker 5: The National Leather Services issued already a floodwatch for all
- 17:09Speaker 5: counties west of the Appalachicola River and has now issued
- 17:12Speaker 5: a very rare level flour out of four flood warning
- 17:15Speaker 5: that same area.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Wow, Yeah, Florida Guarantee is going to happen. Guarantee.
- 17:19Speaker 7: Florida Emergency Management Executive Director Kevin Guthrie warns some areas
- 17:24Speaker 7: that have never seen flooding before, could experience it with
- 17:27Speaker 7: this system. He adds floodwaters could begin rapidly rising around
- 17:31Speaker 7: five o'clock this afternoon and last into the early morning hours.
- 17:35Speaker 7: He says the state has moved items from its Auburndale
- 17:38Speaker 7: warehouse to Tallahassee and also has the Army Corps of
- 17:41Speaker 7: Engineer Jacksonville ready to be deployed if necessary. And we
- 17:45Speaker 7: still may not be done with Arthur because as those
- 17:48Speaker 7: remnants move across the Florida Panhandle, southern Georgia and back
- 17:52Speaker 7: out over the Atlantic, there's some expectation that it could
- 17:55Speaker 7: reorganize and maybe become another news storm. Thankes over on
- 17:59Speaker 7: that side. Meanwhile, brush fires are disrupting lives in Miami
- 18:03Speaker 7: Dade County. No big deal. It's not like they're hosting
- 18:05Speaker 7: World Cup or anything. Over two hundred people voluntarily evacuated
- 18:10Speaker 7: their homes yesterday as two fires spread to fourteen thousand
- 18:14Speaker 7: acres in the western part of the county. One of
- 18:17Speaker 7: the brush fires, called Quarry two, is only about thirty
- 18:19Speaker 7: percent contained. The other fire, called the Well Fire, is
- 18:23Speaker 7: only twenty five percent contained. No injuries have been reported,
- 18:27Speaker 7: and there's no word on how the fires have started,
- 18:29Speaker 7: but of course a concern for World Cup fans taking
- 18:31Speaker 7: in like FIFA fan festivities all weekend long as the
- 18:35Speaker 7: smoke just kind of drifts all over South Florida. I
- 18:38Speaker 7: don't know if you've noticed, heat advisories are in effect
- 18:42Speaker 7: across a large portion of the Sunshine State today. National
- 18:46Speaker 7: Weather Service offices and Miami, Melbourne, Ruskin, and Jacksonville all
- 18:50Speaker 7: report feels like temperatures peaking near one hundred and ten
- 18:55Speaker 7: degrees today. National Weather Service meteorologist Chuck Caracosa says heat
- 18:59Speaker 7: advisory that are in effect through seven PM could be
- 19:02Speaker 7: reissued through the weekend.
- 19:03Speaker 2: And this is how dangerous the heat is.
- 19:05Speaker 15: This type of heat will affect anyone without proper cooling
- 19:08Speaker 15: or hydration, So if you have any outdoor activities planned,
- 19:11Speaker 15: it's important to take plenty of breaks and stay well hydrated.
- 19:15Speaker 7: So right now, we're currently at ninety six degrees with
- 19:17Speaker 7: the feel like temperature of one hundred and eight, but
- 19:20Speaker 7: we also have severe thunderstorm warnings that have already been
- 19:22Speaker 7: issued for Marion County.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, this has been a big story for the World
- 19:25Speaker 2: Cup as well. Oh yeah, because again, yeah, athlete, when
- 19:27Speaker 2: the heat taking water breaks. It's a big no no
- 19:29Speaker 2: usually in World Cup soccer.
- 19:31Speaker 3: So yeah, that's don't get me started about the damn
- 19:34Speaker 3: water breaks.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Man. It is just a it's a cash grab. They
- 19:36Speaker 2: don't care about those players.
- 19:38Speaker 7: What's funny is is seeing you know, people commenting, you know,
- 19:41Speaker 7: oh my god, it's Wis. One of his videos today
- 19:43Speaker 7: was you know, players and fans saying, oh no, it
- 19:46Speaker 7: can get hot in England, just like it does in
- 19:48Speaker 7: the United States. And it's like, okay, you're talking about
- 19:51Speaker 7: the United States, but Florida. Yeah, yeah, like this is
- 19:53Speaker 7: summer junior right now. This is an August heat that
- 19:56Speaker 7: we're going to be really complaining about it.
- 19:58Speaker 4: It's different in World Cut there doing these water breaks
- 20:01Speaker 4: even than the domed Stadius aaa oh wow. Climate control,
- 20:04Speaker 4: but commercials they want to make it even for everybody
- 20:07Speaker 4: and also have commercial.
- 20:09Speaker 2: There you go.
- 20:10Speaker 7: A Saharan dust layer will ease a bit into the weekend.
- 20:13Speaker 7: That's going to allow for a few more showers to form,
- 20:16Speaker 7: but another we'll move in next week. We like the
- 20:18Speaker 7: Saharan dust. It also tamps down tropical activity. Two State
- 20:22Speaker 7: troopers find themselves on the wrong side of the law
- 20:26Speaker 7: in Osciola County. The Sheriff's office yesterday arrested two troopers
- 20:30Speaker 7: for overtime fraud. Their Captain Lenita Wright King and Trooper
- 20:34Speaker 7: Maurice ville Saint. King is charged with grand theft, fraud,
- 20:37Speaker 7: and falsifying records. Deputies haven't announced what charges specifically vill
- 20:42Speaker 7: Saint is facing, but both have already bonded out of jail.
- 20:45Speaker 7: An administrative law judge is recommending the reinstatement of a
- 20:49Speaker 7: Martin County school teacher who posted disparaging comments about the
- 20:53Speaker 7: late Charlie Kirk on social media. Matthew Theobald's Facebook post,
- 20:58Speaker 7: in which he described the religious concert servative activists as
- 21:01Speaker 7: quote a racist, misogynistic, fear mongering, neo Nazi end quote,
- 21:07Speaker 7: led to his termination, but Judge Jody Ann Livingstone has
- 21:12Speaker 7: ruled that Theobald did not commit a quote serious offense
- 21:15Speaker 7: end quote that warranted that kind of punishment. She says
- 21:18Speaker 7: the post quote did not explicitly target students end quote.
- 21:22Speaker 7: School district leaders had said the comments directly affected school
- 21:26Speaker 7: operations and compromised his ability to teach students fairly. Livingstone
- 21:30Speaker 7: says the teacher should get his job back at the
- 21:33Speaker 7: Spectrum academy along with back pay and benefits. The school
- 21:36Speaker 7: board will make the final decision. She just sounds expensive
- 21:40Speaker 7: to me, expensive time wasting all right. To that end,
- 21:45Speaker 7: Congressman Frederica Wilson is planning an oversight visit today at
- 21:48Speaker 7: the West Miami Dade County Immigration Customs Enforcement Facility. You
- 21:52Speaker 7: know it better as Alligator alcatrazmid reports of an increase
- 21:56Speaker 7: in Haitian nationals being held at the Chrome Detention Center.
- 21:59Speaker 7: Now it comes as Department of Homeland Security claims the
- 22:02Speaker 7: last detainees have been transferred out of Alligator Alcatraz.
- 22:07Speaker 16: They built a secret gulog in the Evergoage without even
- 22:10Speaker 16: pulling one permit, without conducting any environmental review, without complying
- 22:15Speaker 16: with environmental law, and now they hope that they can
- 22:17Speaker 16: slink away in the middle.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Of the night.
- 22:19Speaker 7: So Attorney Paul Schweiz says he isn't buying the federal
- 22:21Speaker 7: government's claims or state claims that moved Alligator Alcatraz detainees
- 22:26Speaker 7: because of hurricane season concerns, saying, listen, you built this
- 22:29Speaker 7: last year during hurricane season. Why does it matter this
- 22:31Speaker 7: year during hurricane season. It also says he's ready to
- 22:35Speaker 7: return to federal court later this month to ensure the
- 22:38Speaker 7: facility is fully dismantled and the area returned to pre
- 22:41Speaker 7: construction activities.
- 22:43Speaker 2: This is interesting.
- 22:45Speaker 7: The Clearwater City Council is set to vote again on
- 22:47Speaker 7: a request from the Church of Scientology.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Okay, what do they want?
- 22:51Speaker 7: Yes, they just want to take control of part of
- 22:53Speaker 7: a downtown street.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:55Speaker 7: The proposal would close a portion of South Garden Avenue
- 22:59Speaker 7: so the church and build a new event space and plaza.
- 23:02Speaker 7: Supporters say, hey, it's going to create more green space
- 23:05Speaker 7: and improve the area, while opponents.
- 23:09Speaker 2: What The opponents say this, have you ever been in
- 23:11Speaker 2: downtown clear Water and realize how much are they owned
- 23:15Speaker 2: down there and how weird it is down there?
- 23:16Speaker 7: While opponents worry it could limit traffic and future growth.
- 23:19Speaker 2: It's wild down there, mane, it's crazy. Yeah, that's a
- 23:23Speaker 2: weird scene there.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Oh yeah, just to clarify, I said yes, because I'm like, yes,
- 23:27Speaker 3: have that discussion. Make sure that you are fully aware.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Well you're signing up. Do they pay taxes?
- 23:35Speaker 2: No, they don't. They got recognized a few years back
- 23:37Speaker 2: as an actual religion, so they are they are tax
- 23:40Speaker 2: exempt exempt. Yeah, we should, we should re visit that.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Oh absolutely, especially if anyone from anyone who is going
- 23:49Speaker 7: to preach from the pulpit, you, in my opinion, you've
- 23:52Speaker 7: lost your tax exempt status. I don't care what religious
- 23:54Speaker 7: affiliation you may be. Once you open those doors, you're
- 23:57Speaker 7: no longer just religion.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And that's exactly. I literally left a church because we
- 24:01Speaker 2: were in there one time and they brought up the
- 24:03Speaker 2: a guy running for what does Grant mLOY do?
- 24:08Speaker 4: It was Grant malloy, what's you do for Ciminol County,
- 24:10Speaker 4: Seminole County. It's not tax collections, the election supervisor, no,
- 24:14Speaker 4: something like that. Anyway, they literally were stumping for Grant malloy.
- 24:18Speaker 4: While while in church, I was like, look, he could
- 24:20Speaker 4: be a great guy.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Don't care. And I hear he's a wonderful dude. Doesn't matter.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I'm out of here. Yeah exactly.
- 24:23Speaker 7: Let me meet him at the at the coffee and
- 24:25Speaker 7: donuts after the service. But don't use the time I'm
- 24:28Speaker 7: here for God to tell me about a politician county clerk.
- 24:32Speaker 7: There you go, so again. The issue advance on a
- 24:34Speaker 7: preliminary vote two weeks ago, with a final decision expected
- 24:38Speaker 7: at tonight's council meeting.
- 24:40Speaker 3: It was just wild, by the way, just friendly reminders.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Scientology is like seventy five years old.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't even I'm not even sure it's
- 24:47Speaker 2: that old.
- 24:48Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 24:49Speaker 7: I remember when my dad handed me the L. Run
- 24:51Speaker 7: Hubbard book. Yea yeah, and was like, this guy's pretty
- 24:54Speaker 7: interesting and I never read it, but yeah, all right.
- 24:57Speaker 7: Also on the Gulf Coast, an actor known for his
- 25:00Speaker 7: role in Elf is behind bars as well as Friday
- 25:03Speaker 7: I Believe as behind bars in Hillsborough County Authority say
- 25:07Speaker 7: faise On Love is facing two contempt of court charges
- 25:11Speaker 7: and is being held without bond in the County lock Up.
- 25:15Speaker 7: Reports indicate the charges are tied to a child support
- 25:18Speaker 7: case after he missed out a court hearing. Love, who
- 25:21Speaker 7: played a department store manager in the Beloff Christmas movie,
- 25:24Speaker 7: is expected to appear before a judge in Tampa later
- 25:28Speaker 7: this week.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Says he's broken. This is not the first run in. Man,
- 25:30Speaker 2: This dude's had some run ins going rarely. Yeah, exactly
- 25:32Speaker 2: four or five arrests going back over the last like
- 25:34Speaker 2: eight ten years or something. Yeah, he's had had He's
- 25:37Speaker 2: had some times. It's having too good of a time.
- 25:40Speaker 2: He's had some.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Time Yeah, yeah, all right, I'm gonna do this next
- 25:43Speaker 7: story because I just love sweet stories that make you
- 25:46Speaker 7: feel good about the world.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Audible an audible, all right.
- 25:50Speaker 7: A story out of Osiola County is a reminder that
- 25:52Speaker 7: caring for the community often goes beyond public safety. That's
- 25:56Speaker 7: what the Sheriff's office said yesterday about a story that
- 25:58Speaker 7: starts with a woman in her nineties calling nine to
- 26:01Speaker 7: one one because her stove wasn't working the os and
- 26:05Speaker 7: help the ocso's Community Services Outreach team. Yes, they contacted.
- 26:11Speaker 7: I want to Hodgkins Home Appliances in Saint Cloud. They
- 26:14Speaker 7: donated a replacement stove. That's nice, deputy say. Caring for
- 26:17Speaker 7: the community is about looking out for one another, especially
- 26:20Speaker 7: our seniors, and making sure no one feels forgotten when
- 26:24Speaker 7: facing a difficult situation.
- 26:25Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 2: When you open the story up is like I've seen
- 26:27Speaker 2: that movie.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Maybe not this movie unless you're in all right. Orlando
- 26:35Speaker 7: Magic fans heard from their new head coach today. Sean Sweeney,
- 26:38Speaker 7: was formally introduced at a news conference in Orlando a
- 26:42Speaker 7: little earlier today. Sweeney comes to the Magic from the
- 26:45Speaker 7: San Antonio Spurs, where he was an associate head coach
- 26:48Speaker 7: of course, the Spurs, eventually losing the championships to the
- 26:51Speaker 7: New York Knicks. Sweeney is forty one. This is his
- 26:54Speaker 7: first full time stint as an NBA coach. Sweeney will
- 26:57Speaker 7: be the Magic's how many head coaches have been.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Woo twenty one? No? Now.
- 27:03Speaker 7: Sweeney will replace Jamal Mosley, who was fired last month
- 27:06Speaker 7: after five seasons and three consecutive first round playoff exit thirteen.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I want to say, it's like, I think it's like nine.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I think it's eight or nine. So you're going with
- 27:17Speaker 2: thirteen and you're going with nine. Yes, I'll go fifteen
- 27:22Speaker 2: right on the money. Yeah, because I was doing the
- 27:25Speaker 2: math and I remember every fifteen coaches for real may times.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Did you count Brian Hill? Yeah, Brian Hill? There you
- 27:30Speaker 2: got him twice.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Sweeney will be the Magic's fifteenth head coach.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Wow you count?
- 27:36Speaker 7: And by the way, Mosley is now the coach of
- 27:39Speaker 7: the New Orleans Pelicans.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Is he really? Yeah?
- 27:41Speaker 7: They hired him like before his seat was even warm
- 27:43Speaker 7: in the Magic front office.
- 27:44Speaker 2: So the Magic first year was like eighty nine, nineties
- 27:46Speaker 2: something like that.
- 27:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. So they've been around for thirty six years,
- 27:50Speaker 2: so it means they've had a coach like every three years,
- 27:52Speaker 2: a new coach every three or four years. Yeah, a
- 27:55Speaker 2: note two and a half years, a new coach every
- 27:57Speaker 2: two and a half years. There you go, that's all way,
- 28:00Speaker 2: champion jips. What I don't know if it's two and
- 28:03Speaker 2: a half years, isn't it? I mean, just do the math.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Yeah, thirty seven fifteen coaches to the seven is like
- 28:12Speaker 4: half of Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It's like two and a half years every two and
- 28:14Speaker 2: a half years. I'm how you get a new coach? Average? Yeah? Average?
- 28:17Speaker 7: And then finally, the Transportation Security Administration is sharing words
- 28:22Speaker 7: of wisdom for our World Cup visitors who may want
- 28:27Speaker 7: to take home America's favorite condiment back home from America
- 28:31Speaker 7: this summer.
- 28:32Speaker 2: You know what that is? Right?
- 28:33Speaker 17: Oh?
- 28:33Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe it's trance tress. You know it. It's ranch dress.
- 28:36Speaker 2: It's ranch dressing.
- 28:38Speaker 7: Many European tourists, if you're not on the Gram or TikTok,
- 28:42Speaker 7: have been documenting their first ever trip to the US
- 28:45Speaker 7: this month to support their home nations. Of course, in
- 28:47Speaker 7: the twenty twenty six FFOT World Cup.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Are there no ranch in Europe?
- 28:50Speaker 9: No?
- 28:51Speaker 14: No.
- 28:51Speaker 7: In fact, if you watch any of the influencers, there's
- 28:54Speaker 7: one woman her name is Elsa, who says Europe we
- 28:56Speaker 7: need ranch asap.
- 28:57Speaker 2: It's they calling it crack.
- 29:00Speaker 7: In the process, international soccer fans have discovered their love
- 29:04Speaker 7: of ranch dressing.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Oh it's wonderful, don't get me wrong.
- 29:07Speaker 7: Oh a popular condiment here. But again, they don't have
- 29:10Speaker 7: that in Europe, they don't have that. In Japan they don't.
- 29:12Speaker 7: In fact, the funniest thing is is seeing someone have
- 29:15Speaker 7: to go back through TSA security and they no longer
- 29:17Speaker 7: look like their passport photo because they've gained so much
- 29:20Speaker 7: weight while they've been here in the States shots of
- 29:23Speaker 7: ranch so in an Instagram post. The TSA has reinforced
- 29:26Speaker 7: its limits for just how much liquid can be stored
- 29:28Speaker 7: and carry on baggage, as it predicts an uptick in
- 29:31Speaker 7: people trying to take bottles of ranch dressing home with
- 29:34Speaker 7: them and if it's not in your check bag, you're
- 29:36Speaker 7: gonna have to drop that bad boy in the garbage
- 29:38Speaker 7: can on your way through security.
- 29:40Speaker 2: That's wild. Be able to figure out to make it.
- 29:42Speaker 7: All liquids and carry on luggage including shampoo conditioner, and
- 29:46Speaker 7: now you're ranch dressing need to be in containers that.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Are three point four ounces or less.
- 29:52Speaker 4: You said of thrown it out. TSA should just like
- 29:55Speaker 4: put in a salad bar.
- 29:57Speaker 7: And that's why they're telling fans, don't stand in TSA
- 29:59Speaker 7: and show your ranch dress.
- 30:00Speaker 2: So when did the when did when did the ranch
- 30:02Speaker 2: thing become synonymous with pizza because now if you go
- 30:05Speaker 2: to a pizza place, every pizza place will offer little
- 30:08Speaker 2: things of ranch dressing for you to dip your pizza into.
- 30:11Speaker 2: And man, that wasn't a thing until just what, like
- 30:14Speaker 2: I want to say it was Papa John's. Was it really? Yeah?
- 30:17Speaker 7: I think they started because they always had the garlic
- 30:18Speaker 7: butter thing, but I think they also started including the
- 30:21Speaker 7: ranch dressing.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Oh, I don't remember the ranch. I remember the garlic
- 30:23Speaker 2: butter for sure, I don't remember the other.
- 30:25Speaker 4: It was to make your children happy, Like wasn't good enough,
- 30:29Speaker 4: right exactly?
- 30:30Speaker 2: I got to give them something else. Papa John, I remember,
- 30:32Speaker 2: has the pepper they give you a peer and that
- 30:35Speaker 2: little cup of melted butter.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Come on, And every time I bit into that pepper, man,
- 30:39Speaker 3: I think it was a little too juicy.
- 30:41Speaker 2: It was probably that pepper. It was a good.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Tasting pepper pepper, but there was multiple times I would
- 30:46Speaker 3: bite in and then just squirt.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and that concludes your j You're weird. You are,
- 30:56Speaker 2: don't look into that. You give us a nice did
- 30:58Speaker 2: you give us a non pervertic coming out of your mouth?
- 31:00Speaker 2: Sporting banke solo please bo. That's sounded bubbly. It's just
- 31:05Speaker 2: bubbling out of his mouth. I like it. Seven seven
- 31:08Speaker 2: zero three one.
- 31:10Speaker 15: Okay, I haven't done it because I was by the
- 31:12Speaker 15: liquid Ranch. I'm pretty sure through TSA you can get
- 31:17Speaker 15: the powdered craft head in Valley Ranch packet, which I'm
- 31:22Speaker 15: pretty sure you can make into ranch. So I guess
- 31:26Speaker 15: that's going to be flying off the shelves when they
- 31:28Speaker 15: realize that they can get the dry stuff through TSA.
- 31:32Speaker 15: I'm not sure how that's going to look through the
- 31:34Speaker 15: X ray though, Just a bunch of white, powdered and bags.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Hi.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jim Ober Show, Roll Radio one
- 31:42Speaker 2: four point one. Thanks for tuning in today. We appreciate
- 31:44Speaker 2: that very much. I am Jim. There's Deb Hello. Jack
- 31:47Speaker 2: is here as well, Yeah, and so is Ross. Believe
- 31:50Speaker 2: in yourself. Let's talk to Chloe g if.
- 31:53Speaker 1: It's happening in Central Florida, it's on her radar. Giving
- 31:56Speaker 1: you a reason to get off the couch and out
- 31:58Speaker 1: of the house.
- 31:58Speaker 2: It's done to find out.
- 31:59Speaker 1: What they're is to see with Chloe Chief from the
- 32:02Speaker 1: Orlando Weekly.
- 32:07Speaker 9: You once again, I'm so excited to be here.
- 32:09Speaker 2: It's good to see you, man.
- 32:11Speaker 9: Good to see you too. Pretty good, I was. I'm
- 32:13Speaker 9: really hot from being outside, but it's good. I'm excited
- 32:16Speaker 9: for the weekend.
- 32:16Speaker 2: It's really super out there today. Yeah, So how's it been.
- 32:20Speaker 2: You have a good week?
- 32:21Speaker 9: Pretty good. I've been having a good week so far.
- 32:23Speaker 9: I have a long weekend this upcoming weekend. I have
- 32:26Speaker 9: tomorrow off, so I'm excited about that.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Very nice Father's Day up land.
- 32:30Speaker 9: Yes, I am going down to my hometown, Jupiter, Florida
- 32:33Speaker 9: to spend the weekend with my dad for Father's say.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Oh nice.
- 32:36Speaker 9: We're gonna go out to dinner. My sister and I
- 32:38Speaker 9: will take him out to dinner. Maybe we'll go to
- 32:40Speaker 9: the beach. He really likes to browse around hardware stores
- 32:44Speaker 9: and go shopping for tools. That's kind of the type
- 32:47Speaker 9: of daddy is. So I think we're gonna go, man,
- 32:49Speaker 9: I think we're gonna hit Harbor Free. I think we're
- 32:51Speaker 9: gonna go to Homekeepoe and he's gonna have the time
- 32:53Speaker 9: of his life.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Is he a thrifter? Does he ever do any of
- 32:55Speaker 2: that stuff like you're going to antique choch?
- 32:56Speaker 5: No?
- 32:57Speaker 9: What she really likes. He likes to drive around residential
- 32:59Speaker 9: are and take things that people are throwing out at
- 33:02Speaker 9: the ends of their driveway.
- 33:04Speaker 2: And you and my ned maybe related is this?
- 33:06Speaker 9: He's very handy, so like everything, it's like fixing all
- 33:09Speaker 9: the time.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:11Speaker 9: Growing up we always had about I'm going to say,
- 33:13Speaker 9: forty five broken vacuums in our home at a time
- 33:16Speaker 9: that he was like simultaneously repairing, and he fixed them
- 33:19Speaker 9: all like they owned up working.
- 33:20Speaker 2: That's great man.
- 33:22Speaker 9: Some of them were one hundred years old.
- 33:23Speaker 2: But yeah, oh that's great man. All right. Well, Cleg
- 33:25Speaker 2: joins us every Thursday around this time four o'clock to
- 33:28Speaker 2: let us know what's happening in Orlando. Some cool things
- 33:30Speaker 2: maybe you and your crew can go out and do.
- 33:32Speaker 2: And these are usually pretty low impact when it comes
- 33:34Speaker 2: to price as well too. So did she give you
- 33:36Speaker 2: a good suggestion of different things in different textures and
- 33:39Speaker 2: cultures as well? So what do you have first this week?
- 33:41Speaker 13: Yes?
- 33:42Speaker 9: Absolutely, I have a pretty good range of stuff to do.
- 33:44Speaker 9: This weekend. We have some stuff that's going on, you know, coincidentally,
- 33:47Speaker 9: but then I also have a good little range of
- 33:48Speaker 9: Father's Day activities as well. So the first event that
- 33:52Speaker 9: I'll share with you is the award winning musical Lennox
- 33:56Speaker 9: av is coming to the Doctor Phillips Center this weekend.
- 33:59Speaker 9: This was written and composed by the Orlando resident Brandon Martin.
- 34:04Speaker 9: It tells the story of the famed writer and social
- 34:07Speaker 9: activist Langston Hughes. So it's set around the Harlem Renaissance
- 34:10Speaker 9: in the nineteen twenties and thirties in New York. It's musical,
- 34:14Speaker 9: so it's very music center. There's plenty of jazz, hip hop, rock, blues,
- 34:18Speaker 9: and more. The show also earns the Best Show award
- 34:21Speaker 9: at Orlando Fringe last year, so it's vetted by the community,
- 34:26Speaker 9: and they are putting this on at Doctor Phillips Center's
- 34:29Speaker 9: Judson's Live, which is that kind of more elevated like
- 34:32Speaker 9: speakeasy style venue, and I have a really nice bar
- 34:36Speaker 9: in there, mood lighting. It's very intimate and cozy, and
- 34:40Speaker 9: this show is going to have a few showings, So
- 34:43Speaker 9: seven pm and nine thirty pm on Friday, and then
- 34:45Speaker 9: six pm and nine pm on Saturday. Nice and tickets
- 34:48Speaker 9: start at fifty six dollars.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Not too bad, all right, very nice.
- 34:51Speaker 15: Good.
- 34:52Speaker 9: Also in the way of theater watching somebody on a stage,
- 34:56Speaker 9: we have Saturday Night Lives Marcello Hernanda performing two stand
- 35:01Speaker 9: up sets also at the Doctor Phillips Center this weekend.
- 35:04Speaker 9: So this is on Sunday. It is part of his
- 35:07Speaker 9: solo headlining comedy tour that he's on right now. This
- 35:11Speaker 9: is gonna be a special show because he's from Miami,
- 35:13Speaker 9: so Florida native. He talks a lot in his comedy
- 35:16Speaker 9: material about being Latino and he's just really good at
- 35:21Speaker 9: doing really over the top and weird impressions of people.
- 35:25Speaker 9: I think he'll have plenty, plenty of very Florida specific
- 35:28Speaker 9: comedy for us with his know, his.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Stand up clipped up and h and hit pretty good
- 35:32Speaker 2: a few months back. Yeah, he's one of the star
- 35:35Speaker 2: guys on SNL too. I mean, he was one of
- 35:37Speaker 2: the dudes that like he wasn't scheduled. You had to
- 35:39Speaker 2: pay attention a little bit.
- 35:40Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 35:41Speaker 4: It's funny because I you know, they release a Netflix
- 35:44Speaker 4: special and now he's touring. I wonder if it's different
- 35:47Speaker 4: material or if it's all right.
- 35:48Speaker 9: Sure, I'm sure there's some overlap, but I'm sure he's
- 35:51Speaker 9: gonna bring some fresh stuff, especially to his Florida shows.
- 35:53Speaker 9: I really think he's gonna throw in a little personable
- 35:57Speaker 9: content in there. But yeah, So his his first com
- 36:00Speaker 9: special actually came out at the end of last year
- 36:02Speaker 9: on Netflix and it was very very well received, like widely. Yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 9: it's hilarious. I love him. I think it's very funny.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:09Speaker 9: He also was at the time that he was hired
- 36:11Speaker 9: at SNL, he was the first gen Z cast member,
- 36:14Speaker 9: so like he really had a lot to prove, you know. So, Yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 9: he's taking the stage at Doctor Phillip Center at five
- 36:21Speaker 9: o'clock and then again at seven thirty pm on Sunday.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Nice.
- 36:24Speaker 9: Tickets start at sixty two dollars, but all weekend, the
- 36:27Speaker 9: Doctor Phillip Center is offering a little bit of a
- 36:30Speaker 9: deal online for a discounted ticket price for fathers for
- 36:34Speaker 9: all the day weekend.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Nice.
- 36:36Speaker 9: You can find that online. More information about there.
- 36:39Speaker 2: How did they make you prove that you're a day See.
- 36:41Speaker 9: I don't know, because father figure, like you don't know,
- 36:46Speaker 9: who knows sugar Daddy.
- 36:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 36:51Speaker 9: I could pull up and like, I don't know, they
- 36:53Speaker 9: don't know me, you know, you know.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Like because if you need proof, then either you're celebrating
- 36:58Speaker 3: fathers or a handful of liars.
- 37:00Speaker 9: Ye right, which okay, do they need a celebration the liars? No,
- 37:05Speaker 9: they don't.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Also Dad's debate too. Yeah.
- 37:12Speaker 9: Well next, Also this weekend, we have Mayhem on Mills
- 37:16Speaker 9: heading back to town. Oh yep, this is the this
- 37:20Speaker 9: is this is the it's a sight to see. This
- 37:26Speaker 9: is the independent pop up pro wrestling event that they
- 37:30Speaker 9: usually do in Mills fifty. It's very chaotic and high energy.
- 37:34Speaker 9: There's often a lot of more comedic performances. I didn't
- 37:38Speaker 9: attend myself, but I did hear that their last event
- 37:41Speaker 9: saw a pool noodle fight between two wrestlers, so it's
- 37:44Speaker 9: very Florida. This time, they're actually taking it out of
- 37:48Speaker 9: Mills fifty, which they do from time to time, and
- 37:51Speaker 9: host it at the Hourglass Brewing in Longwood. So luckily
- 37:56Speaker 9: for us, it's going to be endorsed this time, so
- 37:59Speaker 9: you'll be sheated, shielded from the heat and or whatever
- 38:02Speaker 9: afternoon storm is headed alway.
- 38:04Speaker 2: I thing would turn crazy, have you heard about idiot?
- 38:06Speaker 5: Mean?
- 38:06Speaker 2: It would they would start fighting in the middle of
- 38:08Speaker 2: seventeen ninety two.
- 38:09Speaker 9: I know, and they're sewing.
- 38:10Speaker 2: They would it.
- 38:11Speaker 9: It's so they're so angry and disgusting.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Why do you smile when you say that?
- 38:16Speaker 13: Is one.
- 38:17Speaker 9: I just think it's so funny. I think wrestling is
- 38:19Speaker 9: like one of the most theatrical, Like it's like a
- 38:22Speaker 9: drag show a little bit almost.
- 38:24Speaker 2: And there are a lot of younger people super into it.
- 38:25Speaker 2: A lot of young celebrities are super into.
- 38:27Speaker 9: Yeheah no, it's big. Yeah. So this Mayhem on Mills
- 38:32Speaker 9: is going to be celebrating their eighth year putting on
- 38:35Speaker 9: this like indie wrestling fest, so there's lots to celebrate.
- 38:38Speaker 9: This is going to be again at Hourglass Brewing in
- 38:42Speaker 9: Longwood on Sunday from four thirty to nine pm, and
- 38:45Speaker 9: tickets start at twenty five dollars.
- 38:48Speaker 2: It's a great deal because it is a lot of fun.
- 38:50Speaker 2: It's really kind of created its own culture, this whole thing.
- 38:53Speaker 2: I mean, we started talking about it just a few
- 38:55Speaker 2: years back, I think the third or fourth one we
- 38:57Speaker 2: started paying attention to it because you know, we just
- 38:59Speaker 2: kind of found out about it, and then we found
- 39:01Speaker 2: out what was going on, Like it was completely insane.
- 39:03Speaker 9: Oh, it's insane. Have you been to it?
- 39:04Speaker 2: I've not been. I've only been to one. Actually, I
- 39:06Speaker 2: think it went to the first or second one because
- 39:08Speaker 2: we said Brendan O'Connor come in and talk about it
- 39:10Speaker 2: like that, okay, and he was the one who's got
- 39:11Speaker 2: to turn me on to it. Yeah. And I remember
- 39:13Speaker 2: the year I missed, the year they went into the
- 39:15Speaker 2: road and started fighting out in the road. I think
- 39:17Speaker 2: it was the year before that. Yeah. Yeah, it's still
- 39:19Speaker 2: a lot of fun, that's what I hear.
- 39:21Speaker 9: I have yet to attend, but I really would like to.
- 39:24Speaker 9: Wa Yeah, not too great. So lots lots to do
- 39:28Speaker 9: there that day. Some more Father's Day leaning events we have.
- 39:33Speaker 9: This is for the outdoors, Hey dads. We have a
- 39:35Speaker 9: Father's Day Adventure race at Little big Econ State Forest
- 39:39Speaker 9: this weekend. It's a four hour long all ages adventure
- 39:43Speaker 9: race that includes multiple race categories, so there's going to
- 39:46Speaker 9: be trekking, biking, paddling, and navigation challenges. They say participants
- 39:52Speaker 9: can expect both easy and more difficult checkpoints to both
- 39:56Speaker 9: give experienced racers a challenge but still make it like
- 39:59Speaker 9: very doable for beginners and it's family friendly, so kids
- 40:02Speaker 9: and everything.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Nice.
- 40:04Speaker 9: Registration starts at seventy five dollars per person and this
- 40:08Speaker 9: is on Saturday this year, not exactly on Father's Day.
- 40:12Speaker 9: Check In is at seven am and the race starts
- 40:14Speaker 9: at eight am. Okay, cool, Yep, it seems like it's
- 40:16Speaker 9: gonna be a little bit of an amazing race situation.
- 40:19Speaker 9: But just you're in the woods the whole time, gotcha?
- 40:20Speaker 2: All right?
- 40:21Speaker 9: We have dad Bods in hot Rod's Car Show coming
- 40:25Speaker 9: to Deezerland Park this weekend. They say they're celebrating dads
- 40:30Speaker 9: of all shapes and sizes, and then they say no
- 40:32Speaker 9: six packs required. Okay, So this is a family friendly
- 40:36Speaker 9: car show and it is free to attend. You can
- 40:39Speaker 9: stroll through the displays of cars and trucks. There's going
- 40:43Speaker 9: to be live entertainment and food and they're also doing
- 40:46Speaker 9: an all day happy hour at their Double seven kitchen
- 40:49Speaker 9: and bar.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Cool.
- 40:50Speaker 9: They haven't said, yeah, exactly what that is going to entail,
- 40:53Speaker 9: but I'm sure we're gonna get some drink deals.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 40:56Speaker 9: And it is eleven am to four pm again at
- 40:59Speaker 9: deezerl Land Park on Sunday. It is free but Deezerland
- 41:03Speaker 9: is also offering a ticket deal this weekend again for
- 41:06Speaker 9: dads for their auto museum, so you could always cap
- 41:09Speaker 9: off the car show by going through the actual museum
- 41:13Speaker 9: for a discountant.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Very nice. I've never been out there. I've heard it's cool.
- 41:16Speaker 2: It's been up in now like what three years, three
- 41:18Speaker 2: four years now? Whatever? I think at least. Yeah, it
- 41:21Speaker 2: used to be a good time. Used to be that
- 41:22Speaker 2: mall that something Bayne through about eight different faceless it
- 41:30Speaker 2: was that Bay for a while, and it was Mercato
- 41:32Speaker 2: was across the street, I believe, but this was like
- 41:34Speaker 2: it was a mall. That's where Vans, the Van's skate
- 41:37Speaker 2: shop was. There's that theater there that's got the seats
- 41:41Speaker 2: that you can smell and and they vibrate and you
- 41:46Speaker 2: want to smell.
- 41:47Speaker 9: Like a four when they like like puff the air
- 41:50Speaker 9: in there.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Movie you imagine that's what you said. Okay, there's a
- 41:59Speaker 2: lot of exist. We got a seat sniffer, Yeah, title.
- 42:06Speaker 10: Threat nothing, go ahead, sat sniffer.
- 42:12Speaker 3: I'm also very happy that this is a family friendly
- 42:15Speaker 3: car show. I like how you said that. That made
- 42:17Speaker 3: me laugh because I want to go to the non family.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Friendly car I want to go to the rated ex
- 42:22Speaker 2: car show.
- 42:22Speaker 9: Please, whoa, whoa? Will you have to go with your kids?
- 42:27Speaker 2: I would disagree, Okay, leave.
- 42:29Speaker 9: The okay, leave the kids at home.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Yeah, we're having a Father's Day problem with that one.
- 42:35Speaker 2: By the way. Yeah, he wants to go ahead getting hammered
- 42:37Speaker 2: on Father's Day. Father's Day is for fathers go out
- 42:39Speaker 2: and do stupid stuff and leave the kids home.
- 42:42Speaker 9: No, it's it's to celebrate the people who made you
- 42:44Speaker 9: a father.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:45Speaker 7: Oh yeah, So it's not about the fathers.
- 42:49Speaker 2: So that they got to reward the day.
- 42:52Speaker 9: That's what I'm saying. My dad needs to be thinking me.
- 42:54Speaker 9: I'm the first born. I did a lot for him.
- 42:58Speaker 2: That's quite a take. That is Jen's show right there.
- 43:03Speaker 9: I take it back, I take it back. Yet we
- 43:06Speaker 9: also have make Dad lol Father's Day Improv comedy show
- 43:12Speaker 9: at SAC Comedy Lab in downtown Orlando on Sunday. So
- 43:16Speaker 9: they do this comedy show every Father's Day and it's
- 43:18Speaker 9: usually a sellout event. I can't tell you exactly what
- 43:21Speaker 9: you'll see in the show, but we do know that
- 43:24Speaker 9: teams of professional improv comedians will be competing for laughs.
- 43:28Speaker 9: They'll be making up songs and scenes and more on
- 43:30Speaker 9: the spot. They're going to want some suggestions and audience
- 43:34Speaker 9: participation throughout the show, and then at the very end,
- 43:37Speaker 9: the audience is going to decide on a winning team.
- 43:41Speaker 9: Tickets start at twenty two dollars, but dads get have
- 43:43Speaker 9: price admission nice at their three shows to choose from
- 43:47Speaker 9: as well. So one thirty, three thirty and five thirty
- 43:50Speaker 9: pm on Sunday, very nice, very fun, very fun. We
- 43:55Speaker 9: have Go Skate Dad at red Light, Red Light on Sunday.
- 44:00Speaker 9: Skate Go Skate Dad.
- 44:02Speaker 7: Okay, Joe, I was just trying to figure out what
- 44:04Speaker 7: he was going to do for Father's Day.
- 44:06Speaker 9: I told him, okay, So I didn't know what this
- 44:09Speaker 9: was previous to this, but Go Skate Day is celebrated
- 44:14Speaker 9: as a global holiday for skateboarders to basically drop their responsibilities,
- 44:19Speaker 9: drop what you're doing, and hit the pavement, hit the road.
- 44:22Speaker 9: So that's celebrated every year on June twenty first. This
- 44:25Speaker 9: year it overlaps.
- 44:27Speaker 2: You probably don't know this. Do you view me? Do
- 44:29Speaker 2: you come mean when you look at me? Do you
- 44:30Speaker 2: think maybe back in the day your boy was a skater.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Do you that was charitable? Did you hear that.
- 44:40Speaker 10: Sure, we have to work on your line.
- 44:44Speaker 9: You were cool too, terrible you you're a skater I
- 44:48Speaker 9: used to be.
- 44:48Speaker 2: I used to skate quite a bit anymore.
- 44:50Speaker 10: Well, I mean I'm a hundred Okay, I see you're
- 44:56Speaker 10: very youthful. Appreciate that you think your So what's happening
- 45:02Speaker 10: at red.
- 45:02Speaker 9: Light So So Go Skate Day this year overlaps with
- 45:06Speaker 9: Father's Day, so Red Light red Light teamed up with
- 45:10Speaker 9: the organization Your Mom Skates, which is a women's skateboarding
- 45:14Speaker 9: group to celebrate both holidays and one so again a
- 45:17Speaker 9: family friendly kind of party environment celebration sort of situation
- 45:22Speaker 9: on Sunday from eleven am to five pm. There will
- 45:25Speaker 9: be a skate ramp and a street course to actually
- 45:28Speaker 9: skate on. All ages skate they they warned state at
- 45:32Speaker 9: your own risk.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Oh my god, I bet they do. I bet they do.
- 45:37Speaker 9: But then for those who don't actually want to get
- 45:39Speaker 9: on the skateboards, there's also going to be local vendors
- 45:41Speaker 9: setting up like a little marketplace situation. There will be
- 45:44Speaker 9: a bunch of food, pops up, pop ups, kid activities,
- 45:47Speaker 9: live music raffles, and then Red Light red Light is
- 45:50Speaker 9: offering a specialty beer for the day as well, and
- 45:53Speaker 9: it's completely free to attend.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Awesome. That sounds fun, man, that sounds fun. You know,
- 45:57Speaker 2: we have one of the most famous female skateboarders, I
- 46:00Speaker 2: think globally in our audience.
- 46:02Speaker 8: Really.
- 46:02Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Her name is Jenna Hurt, and she has traveled all
- 46:05Speaker 2: over the world and actually she has an initiative thing
- 46:08Speaker 2: where she goes to countries that don't have skateboards or
- 46:11Speaker 2: skateboarders and she builds skate parks and she brings decks
- 46:14Speaker 2: that have been donated so she can get people who
- 46:17Speaker 2: don't have access to it access to it. And she's
- 46:19Speaker 2: she's an amazing human being.
- 46:21Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 46:21Speaker 2: And uh and I think she actually got dedicated. I
- 46:24Speaker 2: think she got inducted in the Skateboarding Hall of Fame.
- 46:26Speaker 2: I'm not a hundred on that, but she is a
- 46:28Speaker 2: local legend and an unbelievable person. So that's very cool.
- 46:31Speaker 9: Oh sweet, good to know. I love her name. It's
- 46:33Speaker 9: very sitting for like a like a hardcore athlete. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:36Speaker 9: that's amazing.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Well is that it?
- 46:39Speaker 9: That is it for? Father's say this?
- 46:41Speaker 2: Well, thank you very much. I appreciate that. Can you
- 46:43Speaker 2: hang out for a few minutes you just told me
- 46:45Speaker 2: something about your about your dad. It was very interesting.
- 46:47Speaker 2: I think these guys would like to hear that. Okay,
- 46:49Speaker 2: so and we have some news as well. Okay, all right,
- 46:51Speaker 2: so say right where you are. Okay, all right, you
- 46:53Speaker 2: guys give it a good love for CHOYG.
- 46:54Speaker 19: Yeah, now, forget what I want for a Father's Day,
- 47:02Speaker 19: I mean, apart from being a dad. Yeah, sure, but
- 47:04Speaker 19: I feel like I have to spell it out to
- 47:06Speaker 19: my wife every year. I want to play video games.
- 47:11Speaker 20: I want a little booty.
- 47:12Speaker 19: I want to drink subourbon, and I want to chill
- 47:15Speaker 19: weather pool and one of those can be completely spontaneous.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:20Speaker 19: Just hand me a bourbon any point of the day
- 47:22Speaker 19: and I'm happy.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good. It's gonna be kind of hard
- 47:24Speaker 2: for her to give you a smaller ass, though he
- 47:30Speaker 2: can figure that part out himself. A little booty, all right?
- 47:33Speaker 2: Four seven nine one text us seven seven zero three one.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Welcome back. I'm Jim. There's Dube, Jae Ross, Yeah, and
- 47:40Speaker 2: Chloe G hanging out for another segment. Are we bothering you?
- 47:44Speaker 9: I'm so happy to be here.
- 47:45Speaker 2: Okay, very good. It's air conditioning, it's air conditioned.
- 47:48Speaker 9: It's nice.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Yeah, are we waiting, by the way, until until we
- 47:51Speaker 2: get a contact. Uh.
- 47:53Speaker 4: We We've had an email contact. I asked him to call.
- 47:56Speaker 4: There's been no response since. So maybe we should just
- 47:59Speaker 4: give it away again.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh oh, yeah, we'll just give it away again.
- 48:01Speaker 2: I'll have him bring it back, the big Green Egg.
- 48:05Speaker 2: The box has been found. So yeah, the box has
- 48:09Speaker 2: been found. I told you today that last clue was
- 48:11Speaker 2: gonna do it. We had somebody And by the way,
- 48:14Speaker 2: somebody just texted and said, it's the second time I
- 48:17Speaker 2: was walking up to get it and somebody was walking
- 48:19Speaker 2: away with it. Yeah, they said this the second time.
- 48:22Speaker 2: I wanted somebody else to walk away with my big
- 48:24Speaker 2: green egg. But yeah, the big Green Egg has been found.
- 48:29Speaker 2: And do we want to wait and see for the
- 48:32Speaker 2: guy to call before we kind of give away where
- 48:33Speaker 2: it was and everything. Yeah, we'll do that. We'll wait though.
- 48:35Speaker 2: We want to talk to Chloe for a second. So
- 48:37Speaker 2: Chloe and I were talking before the show and we're
- 48:40Speaker 2: just getting to know each other. This is like, what
- 48:41Speaker 2: your third appearance, third or fourth? Is it really? Yeah?
- 48:45Speaker 2: It's not, is it? Yeah?
- 48:46Speaker 16: She knows?
- 48:47Speaker 3: Oh god, yeah, Jim thinks the year is twenty two. Okay, yeah,
- 48:52Speaker 3: and I don't really know you all that well, right
- 48:54Speaker 3: we I you know, I called the Weekly actually talked
- 48:56Speaker 3: to my buddy fi As. I said, we want somebody
- 48:58Speaker 3: to come in and do this job. She's He's like,
- 49:00Speaker 3: Chloe's gonna do the job for you. Yeah, we made
- 49:02Speaker 3: an email contact you come in and you've done this gig.
- 49:04Speaker 3: And we're kind of a little bit by a little
- 49:05Speaker 3: bit kind of getting to know each other. And I
- 49:07Speaker 3: asked her today, I'm like, what's going on for father's say?
- 49:09Speaker 3: You like, I'm going to visit my dad in a
- 49:10Speaker 3: normal conversation, I was like, what does.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Your dad do? So tell these guys what your dad
- 49:14Speaker 2: did for years.
- 49:15Speaker 9: So he's retired now, but for about twenty twenty five years,
- 49:18Speaker 9: I believe he worked for the Marlins when they were
- 49:22Speaker 9: the Florida Marlins before they became the Miami Orleans. He
- 49:25Speaker 9: was there visiting clubhouse manager.
- 49:29Speaker 2: That her dad works in professional Sportsami Marlins.
- 49:32Speaker 12: Yep.
- 49:32Speaker 9: So I have a ton of pictures of me running
- 49:34Speaker 9: around as a baby in the clubhouse and taking baths
- 49:37Speaker 9: in the ice bath buckets. I always had David's sunflower
- 49:42Speaker 9: seeds in my school lunches. Very it was very influential
- 49:46Speaker 9: to me growing up. My bedroom as a child was
- 49:49Speaker 9: like Billy the Marlin themes. It was like like it
- 49:52Speaker 9: basically became that because there were like stuffed animals and
- 49:54Speaker 9: jerseys and little baseballs everywhere.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Now, did you get to meet any of the other players,
- 49:58Speaker 2: like some of the famous players, I mean obviously like
- 50:00Speaker 2: the Wheelhouse wise, I mean that's like, you know, some
- 50:02Speaker 2: of the most famous.
- 50:03Speaker 9: Yeah, so absolutely. I can't say that I remember who
- 50:06Speaker 9: they were. I will say though, that I believe in Oh,
- 50:10Speaker 9: I can't remember what year it was.
- 50:11Speaker 2: My godfather is Astrata.
- 50:15Speaker 9: No, but in the in the early two thousands, maybe
- 50:17Speaker 9: you guys know the exact year when the Marlins won
- 50:19Speaker 9: the World Series. I went with them to the White
- 50:23Speaker 9: House and met, oh, the president at the time, Bush.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it would have probably been Bush. Yes,
- 50:30Speaker 4: I kind of remember. I went to one of those
- 50:32Speaker 4: World Series games and then they went on to defeat
- 50:35Speaker 4: the Yankees.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, so keep talking about Yeah, he holds on
- 50:42Speaker 2: the stuff.
- 50:42Speaker 9: I'm sorry.
- 50:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry you met the president because the Marlins one
- 50:47Speaker 2: you feel Jack, I'm good. So, how was that White
- 50:52Speaker 2: House experience? Was it cool?
- 50:54Speaker 9: I can't say that I remember it I was very small.
- 50:57Speaker 9: I've seen pictures of it, and it seems like I
- 50:59Speaker 9: had a great time.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Okay, so big fother's day plans, Like you say, going
- 51:03Speaker 2: down south? Can I have some dinner with Pops and whatnot.
- 51:05Speaker 9: Yes, I'm going to my hometown. My sister and I
- 51:07Speaker 9: are going to take my dad out to dinner. We
- 51:09Speaker 9: might go to the beach. He like I was saying,
- 51:12Speaker 9: he really likes to browse hardware stores and shop for tools.
- 51:16Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 51:16Speaker 9: So maybe we're going to take a trip to Harbor Free.
- 51:19Speaker 9: We'll go to home Depot. You'll have the time of
- 51:21Speaker 9: his life.
- 51:21Speaker 2: You ever try to break him out of that mold
- 51:23Speaker 2: and do something else or suggest other things. He's just
- 51:25Speaker 2: stubborn and will not do it.
- 51:26Speaker 9: Absolutely not. It's just when you are if you're passionate,
- 51:29Speaker 9: like you got to chase that. But he also it
- 51:32Speaker 9: put me in such a funny spot because I feel
- 51:35Speaker 9: like I don't have a good sense of where to
- 51:36Speaker 9: go if I need something professionally fixed over because he's
- 51:39Speaker 9: so hand everything like it's always been just fixed.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Ye, that's so cool, man, you have a really good
- 51:45Speaker 2: relationship with your old man.
- 51:46Speaker 3: What No, it's just exactly what my son will be
- 51:48Speaker 3: saying about me, you know, fix stuff.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh wow, did you please just briefly list
- 51:58Speaker 2: a few things that he's seeing you fix that he
- 52:01Speaker 2: will remember and that will be a forged memory in
- 52:04Speaker 2: his brain. Tell me, please, what the mechanisms did I
- 52:07Speaker 2: have fixed?
- 52:07Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 52:07Speaker 2: Whatever, Body just hit me with some of that rotator splint.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Rotator splint. That's not the thing. All dysfunctional junction. Okay,
- 52:14Speaker 2: dysfunctional junction. That's a j cole lyric. That's uh, you got.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Don't forget about the what is it? Thecremensonal Yeah, yes, shaft, Yeah, sure,
- 52:24Speaker 2: discremensal shoft. She probably knows more about that stuff than you.
- 52:28Speaker 9: I don't think any of that's real. I'm gonna have
- 52:31Speaker 9: to say I'm no expert, a right.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Agree to Have you ever met Ross by the way,
- 52:37Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, we were just talking right before that.
- 52:39Speaker 3: Very nice, very nice.
- 52:40Speaker 8: All right.
- 52:40Speaker 2: Yeah, we've officially kicked it now.
- 52:42Speaker 9: Yeah, we're buds ere buds.
- 52:45Speaker 2: All right four oh seven nine one text us at
- 52:49Speaker 2: seven seven zero three one. Yeah, we hit a We
- 52:52Speaker 2: hid a big green egg out in the world. I
- 52:54Speaker 2: wrote a little poem for people to go try to
- 52:57Speaker 2: find it, and somebody found it while you were with
- 52:58Speaker 2: us today, So it's kind of cool.
- 53:00Speaker 7: So when did you start giving the hints to this?
- 53:02Speaker 7: Took you a week to write it.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Wow, did that sounds That's why I laughed. It sounded.
- 53:09Speaker 2: It sounded a little Sunday.
- 53:11Speaker 9: A little charge charge.
- 53:14Speaker 2: Even our guess, our guest whos meant you six times,
- 53:17Speaker 2: says it's charged charge. She says it was just it's
- 53:22Speaker 2: a simple question. Yeah, yeah, I get it. I get it.
- 53:25Speaker 2: I speak that language. Took you a week to write it.
- 53:27Speaker 2: It took me a week to write it. Yes, two
- 53:30Speaker 2: days to find it wasn't even two days.
- 53:33Speaker 4: It's Monday at three point fifteen. The first clues Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, thursdays.
- 53:42Speaker 4: That's four days.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Look, the meat on the bone yesterday did lead some
- 53:45Speaker 2: people around it. And then I knew today that one
- 53:48Speaker 2: sentence was gonna just summit right up. And sure enough,
- 53:51Speaker 2: that's exactly what it was. And I think the first clues,
- 53:53Speaker 2: the meaty clues that we gave him yesterday, kind of
- 53:55Speaker 2: led them to the area because a lot of people
- 53:57Speaker 2: were texting in and they were they were warm. I
- 54:00Speaker 2: was hoping that they went to another park that was
- 54:03Speaker 2: similar to the one that we put it in, but
- 54:05Speaker 2: that did not happen. And we even put this in
- 54:08Speaker 2: in Chat and in Claude and in pilot Ais and
- 54:12Speaker 2: it's still didn't really show where it was.
- 54:15Speaker 7: Well, someone texted earlier saying that when they saw munch
- 54:18Speaker 7: people searching in the uh landscaping, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 54:22Speaker 7: the flower best I know what you're they knew that
- 54:25Speaker 7: they were looking at.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Somebody said somebody was just rifling through the flower
- 54:27Speaker 2: beds at Fort Mellon Park. But I've already left it
- 54:29Speaker 2: there once. I wouldn't do it twice, right, Well, Yeah.
- 54:32Speaker 9: What was the most difficult place you've hit it in
- 54:34Speaker 9: the past?
- 54:34Speaker 2: Uh, The hardest place to hide it was, believe it
- 54:37Speaker 2: or not, over by Herndon Airport, Okay, yeah, because it's
- 54:40Speaker 2: a I hit it behind the sign, the old sign,
- 54:43Speaker 2: and it was our right under it. And I had
- 54:45Speaker 2: to like run back and forth to my hiding place
- 54:48Speaker 2: because it's a highly trafficked area, even at three o'clock
- 54:51Speaker 2: in the morning. And that's exactly what I was. And
- 54:53Speaker 2: the other things, like I didn't want to get arrested
- 54:55Speaker 2: because I'm out there lurking around and doing stupid stuff.
- 54:58Speaker 2: How are you dressed all in all black? You know,
- 55:01Speaker 2: all black? Three am running around the park and I
- 55:04Speaker 2: had to avoid homeless people because there are a bunch
- 55:06Speaker 2: of homeless people around and I didn't want them to
- 55:09Speaker 2: see me burying something and have them get a homeless
- 55:12Speaker 2: curious Oh I got it up. I thought you thought
- 55:15Speaker 2: it was contagious. Yeah. Yeah, it's like every day for you, right,
- 55:18Speaker 2: homeless people. You know, who doesn't need one hundred and
- 55:21Speaker 2: fifty pound grill a dude pushing a cart.
- 55:26Speaker 3: I now have a new goal for this Monster travel
- 55:31Speaker 3: Hunt that you give out to Central Forest. Tell me
- 55:34Speaker 3: is that I kind of I'm rooting for a homeless
- 55:36Speaker 3: guy to win it?
- 55:37Speaker 11: Oh?
- 55:37Speaker 2: Man, that was so that's the biggest that can I
- 55:41Speaker 2: tell you. The biggest fear of doing this is having
- 55:43Speaker 2: some landscaper or whatever just go, oh, what's this and
- 55:46Speaker 2: then someone not familiar with the show, no idea, what's that.
- 55:50Speaker 2: We had that happen with the radio station once where
- 55:52Speaker 2: we gave away a twenty thousand dollars motorcycle. And this
- 55:55Speaker 2: was like in the early nineties, when that motorcycle would
- 55:57Speaker 2: be like now fifty grand. And I'm not joking. It
- 56:00Speaker 2: was that expensive. And we because the rules of doing
- 56:03Speaker 2: this you have to allow anybody who walks up to
- 56:05Speaker 2: register to register, and you can't charge him to do it, right,
- 56:08Speaker 2: That's a big part of this, right, So that's exactly
- 56:11Speaker 2: what we're doing. So we would take this motorcycle around
- 56:12Speaker 2: and do what they call hits. We would stop somewhere,
- 56:15Speaker 2: we would let everybody know this is where we are.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Come on out register for the thing. Well, we live
- 56:19Speaker 2: in Florida, dude, there's tourists everywhere, and we for the
- 56:23Speaker 2: big reveal. They pulled the thing and they read the
- 56:26Speaker 2: name and it was a It was a seventy two
- 56:29Speaker 2: year old dude from New York who won our motorcycle
- 56:33Speaker 2: or seven. He wasn't from here. Maybe I don't know
- 56:35Speaker 2: if it was New York, but I knew he was older,
- 56:37Speaker 2: out of our demographic that we wanted to really attract, right,
- 56:40Speaker 2: and he wasn't even from here.
- 56:41Speaker 9: Well did he come pick it up?
- 56:43Speaker 2: I don't know what happened to it after that. I
- 56:46Speaker 2: was so we were so mad. Yeah, I did not
- 56:49Speaker 2: care for that at all. We'll talk to the winner
- 56:52Speaker 2: in ten minutes. He's getting be calling, all right, do
- 56:53Speaker 2: we know his name, Yeah, Dan, Dan? All right, Dan,
- 56:58Speaker 2: I mean do you want to announce what it was?
- 57:00Speaker 2: Do we want to do that? I want to talk
- 57:03Speaker 2: to Dan because I want Dan to kind of go
- 57:05Speaker 2: through the poem and say how he broke it down.
- 57:07Speaker 2: And if he says I just put it in one
- 57:08Speaker 2: of the ais, I'm going to be super pissed and
- 57:11Speaker 2: next year the clue is just going to be symbols. Okay, yeah,
- 57:15Speaker 2: that one what you tried to say?
- 57:17Speaker 9: Yeah, you cann't really get that out.
- 57:20Speaker 2: It's fun. That was tough.
- 57:23Speaker 9: I don't think I've ever said that. We're not allowed
- 57:25Speaker 9: for No.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Better time to try it than right now in front
- 57:28Speaker 2: of a couple hundred thousand people. Good job, you are right,
- 57:31Speaker 2: very good? All right? Four to seven nine four one
- 57:34Speaker 2: text us at seven seven zero three one sacle break.
- 57:37Speaker 2: We'll come back and talk to Dan, the winner, the
- 57:38Speaker 2: founder of the Search your Asom contest, brought to you
- 57:42Speaker 2: by our good friends or our tools Asar word. Thanks Chloe,
- 57:44Speaker 2: always good seeing you, Thank you as well? All right
- 57:46Speaker 2: back in a second.
- 57:49Speaker 14: Oh man, that sure from Chloe g I could not
- 57:55Speaker 14: have held that laugh back if my life was dependent
- 57:59Speaker 14: on it.
- 58:00Speaker 12: Was just too good agreed, Buddy Olberk cool love blessings
- 58:04Speaker 12: on them. Yeahm In with regards to the father's dad thing,
- 58:08Speaker 12: I totally agree with Ross because for Mother's Day, you know,
- 58:11Speaker 12: we go all to row Way for our wives or
- 58:14Speaker 12: sisters or mothers, whoever the female is spa day, you know,
- 58:18Speaker 12: stay out to the kitchen, you know, deny at the restaurants,
- 58:21Speaker 12: that kind of stuff. So the father should be able
- 58:23Speaker 12: to do the same thing, golfing, hunting, sleeping, just hanging
- 58:27Speaker 12: out in the garage with a couple of beers, whatever
- 58:29Speaker 12: we want to do for that day. Yeah, I agree,
- 58:34Speaker 12: that would.
- 58:34Speaker 2: Probably be the consensus if we were to take a poll.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Apparently not.
- 58:39Speaker 3: I feel like I'm the minority when I say, like, dude,
- 58:42Speaker 3: I'm doing whatever I want. Yeah, if I want to
- 58:45Speaker 3: fapen in a corner, dude, I'm gonna fallen. I mean,
- 58:50Speaker 3: I just thought it was the first extreme example that
- 58:52Speaker 3: popped up.
- 58:53Speaker 2: Yeah, two for one didn't seven seven zero three one.
- 58:59Speaker 2: You can text us deb and Jack and Ross are
- 59:02Speaker 2: here as well. I'm not shaking his hand, then you
- 59:05Speaker 2: shouldn't shake anyone. You should never shake a hand. Then
- 59:07Speaker 2: I got bad news for you. At both hands By
- 59:09Speaker 2: the way, strangers in play don't ever use someone else's
- 59:12Speaker 2: phone either. Yeah. Ross. For Father's Day, that's when socks
- 59:16Speaker 2: are a good gift. Yeah, yeah, always a good gift.
- 59:19Speaker 2: Socks are great. I just bought new socks, a lot
- 59:22Speaker 2: of socks. Did you really? I am on your side, though, Ross, right,
- 59:26Speaker 2: I do you should be tooting rooting?
- 59:30Speaker 8: I really?
- 59:30Speaker 2: Do you believe the dads just got there and tear
- 59:32Speaker 2: department on their day? It's their day? Yeah? Yeah.
- 59:35Speaker 7: Let dad do what he wants to do and the
- 59:37Speaker 7: family coordinate around what dad has planned to do. When
- 59:40Speaker 7: you're gonna spend time with dad, So if Dad's gonna
- 59:42Speaker 7: go out and play golf all day, yeah, then maybe
- 59:45Speaker 7: you do a late lunch or an early dinner.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Yeah. I agree with that.
- 59:48Speaker 7: If he's hammered on the couch, you put a blanket
- 59:50Speaker 7: over him. You make sure he wakes up on time
- 59:52Speaker 7: for work on Monday, leave his ass alone.
- 59:54Speaker 2: I don't see the problem with that, I really don't.
- 59:57Speaker 7: I know Chloe was joking, but if you want to
- 59:59Speaker 7: sell a rate your pop, then celebrate your pop.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Yeah. I agree with that one hundred percent, man, I Yeah.
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: And when to hear the frustration of men calling and
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: leaving their talkbacks. That's heartbreaking. Oh really, it's heartbreaking to me.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: It's really heartbreaking.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Well yeah, when I told my wife, I was like, oh,
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: I thought I was doing this then then I was
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: informed of like, oh, so you don't want to spend
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: it with us, and I was like, that's.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: One way to look at it. It's very passive aggressive,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: like I didn't know. Well, the thing is that you
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: want to spend some I mean you obviously you get
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: some time to yourself, but you are a father. I
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: mean they're celebrating you, right, You're the dad, and your
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: progeny should be part of that celebration.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: It's like on your birthday, right, you should get to
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: do what you want on your birthday. But you know
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: other people, your loved ones, they make plans for you.
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: But that's celebrating your birthday. It's different. I mean, if
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: you want to do whatever you want to do on
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: your I agree you should spend some time with your family,
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: right yeah, yeah, yeah sure, But I just I'm one
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: of those fairness people. I'm asked you to grab the
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: kids and get your ass out of the house for
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: eight hours. I don't see why the flip isn't isn't
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: just as fair?
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I just want to make sure I have that
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Father's Day event before my next golf event, because on
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: this one, golf balls are coming in and doing. How
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: you doing? And then I take it back? Yeah? There
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: you go? All right? So we did the Search Your
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: aceof contest dropped the final clues today and uh, man,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, these guys are really good at
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: what they do. I'm going to find out exactly how
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: this guy found it, but you guys give it up
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: A good allowed for Dan. He is the winner of
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: the twenty twenty six Search Your asof Content. Yeah, Dan,
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: how you doing, buddy? I'm good?
- 1:01:38Speaker 11: How is everybody else doing?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Doing very well? Aren't you? Man? It's an eighteen hundred
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: and seventy five dollars package that you won today.
- 1:01:46Speaker 11: Yeah, very excited to win.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Hey, let me ask you a question. Are you for
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: one thing? Are you a regular listener of the program. Yeah?
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: Actually I've been.
- 1:01:55Speaker 11: Listening to Real Radio for like thirty plus years. I think, wow,
- 1:01:59Speaker 11: the whole time had the show.
- 1:02:01Speaker 21: Thank you.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: That's awesome, man, I appreciate that. So let me ask you, Yes,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: we're happy you won. Dad, yeah, yeah, yesterday when we
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: got the clues yesterday. Did you have an idea yesterday
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: and were you just waiting for that final piece today
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: to kind of clarify that that's where you thought it was.
- 1:02:16Speaker 11: No, I was completely off the trail yesterday. I thought
- 1:02:19Speaker 11: it was in Sanford at Fort Mellon Park, and I
- 1:02:22Speaker 11: didn't realize you guys had hit it there one year previously.
- 1:02:25Speaker 11: So I was I was on Google Map, searching all
- 1:02:27Speaker 11: over Fort Mellon Park looking for places that could possibly
- 1:02:30Speaker 11: be and getting ready to kind of drive over there
- 1:02:33Speaker 11: this afternoon to be ready.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: And this morning I read the.
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: Whole stanza again and it hit me that part about
- 1:02:42Speaker 11: Land Ho and Lake Toho in the baths, and so
- 1:02:46Speaker 11: I started that area this morning. And then I saw
- 1:02:48Speaker 11: there's an American legion over there too, and that word
- 1:02:51Speaker 11: legion was in there.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: So that's interesting because actually none of that, I mean,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: some of that you said was obviously part of the clue,
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: but the legion was just what So here, I'll go
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: buy it a little bit real quick. So well, the
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: first two don't really matter. The land where it rests
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: was Lando for traveling guests, it's bank's welcoming site. Well,
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Lake Cassimi Lakefront Park used to be a steamboat landing, okay,
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: so that that's where that clue came from. And it
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: was once another name. It grew to great fame, but
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: the rail extinguished the light. It didn't always used to
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: be Cassimi And I forget what it was named after
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: some it wasna like Allendale or something first and then
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: when the when the rail came, you know, all the
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: steamboat business that brought people to that area ended and
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: they started coming by train. Oh so when you go
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: to the next the crown jewel of the region, both
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Boor and Bass were and legion, but now it's for
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: all to sea. It used to be private land. There
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: used to be land that was only used for the
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: steamboat landing, so it was business land. Now it's public land.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: It was the crown jewel of that entire area because
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: of another thing called the Monument of States that's right
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: near there. And Bore and Bass are two of the
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: names of the pavilions. All of the pavilions that Cossimulate
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Front Park are named after animals. And I just too,
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: I just chose to that worked well for the poem.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: But Boor and Bass are two pavilions at at the park.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Amongst this fine place is an interesting space in the
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: space Cossimulate Front Park because it's a it's a bunch
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: of different things. Monument of States is one of them.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: That's that's where I wanted to put it, but there
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: was really nowhere to hide it there. But right around
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: the corner there's a Veterans Memorial area. And in the
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Veterans Memorial area there is a stone representing each branch
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: of the military Navy, US Coast Guard, Army, Marines and
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Coast Guard right, so the Space Force, no Air Force,
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Air Force right, and the middle one is the Navy.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: So that's and basically it says a disciple of stones,
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: each with their own homes, sentinels of a people kept free.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: In other words, those are the those are the institutions
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: that kept us as a country free from our invaders.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: And it was behind the one in the middle, in
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: a black box, just dropped right down in the bushes.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Did you literally walk right up to it and do it?
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Or did you have to look harder? Oh?
- 1:05:09Speaker 11: No, I spent a lot of time looking I actually
- 1:05:11Speaker 11: started at the lighthouse because I thought that was part
- 1:05:14Speaker 11: of it with the flame, you know that went out,
- 1:05:17Speaker 11: and then walked over there's another.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: World War Two memorial over there, and.
- 1:05:20Speaker 11: I spent a lot of time poking around in the
- 1:05:22Speaker 11: bushes there, and I was actually walking to that States,
- 1:05:26Speaker 11: that State's memorial that you just mentioned, and on the
- 1:05:29Speaker 11: way there, I passed the other one where it was,
- 1:05:31Speaker 11: and as soon as I saw it, I knew that's
- 1:05:33Speaker 11: the spot.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: That's got to be the spot. And it's funny because
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: the Monument of States I couldn't even use as a landmark.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: And it's painfully interesting in itself, by the way. In
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: that Monument of States, which basically is like a thirty
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: or forty foot tall tower there and it has a
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: stone from every every state and hour in our country,
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: and one of the stones actually was donated by Roosevelt,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: I believe, President Roosevelt. And in that in that in
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: that in that monument, there actually are remains of the
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: guy who came up with the eye idea. It was
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: built in the forties as a as a reminder of
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: our victory in World War Two. So that entire complex
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: there is all around that stuff. So I had to
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: visit that place like three times before I could actually
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: figure out where I was gonna put the damn thing.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: And I didn't want to be disrespectful, but of course
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: it's the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary, and I thought
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: something near veterans or the military would be an appropriate call.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Congratulations Dan, Congratulations Dan, Dad, you did it. Thank you.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Let me ask you, do you grill? I don't grill?
- 1:06:35Speaker 11: And my wife was just actually just making fun of
- 1:06:37Speaker 11: me for this. So this is going to be I cook,
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: but I do all of my cooking in the kitchen,
- 1:06:42Speaker 11: so I'm actually very excited.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:45Speaker 11: And the other thing too, is there's a tool Day's
- 1:06:46Speaker 11: Hardware in my neighborhood where I live, and I'm there
- 1:06:49Speaker 11: like every weekend then for the house, and you can't help.
- 1:06:52Speaker 11: Every time you walk in the door, you got to
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: walk right by the grill section with these big green eggs.
- 1:06:57Speaker 11: And every time I walk through there, I see those
- 1:06:58Speaker 11: things and I think I'm going to start saving my money.
- 1:07:00Speaker 11: And one of these days I want to go back
- 1:07:03Speaker 11: there and get one. But the day is here, I guess.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Oh, that's fantastic, awesome. And what part of town are
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: you in. I'm in the Handlin area. Oh, no way. Yeah,
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: they just opened that one like literally last year or
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: a year before.
- 1:07:14Speaker 11: Right, Yeah, it's coming real handy too.
- 1:07:17Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: So matter of fact, I believe we were at the
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: opening of that Jack and I did the opening of
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: that store, and you're right it is. And by the way,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: the tools stores are amazing and my man is right there.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: Not only is the grill section super awesome, but they
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: have so much cool stuff for Father's Day, Like I said,
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: handmade knives, Coasta del Mare, sunglasses, post other Maui gyms
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: and stuff. So just a really cool family and uh,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: and we're super happy you won, buddy. It was really nice.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: It's nice to hear somebody who's been listening to the
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: show go out there and make it happen. And the
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: funny thing is, you're not even like a griller, but
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: yet did you just like the challenge of it?
- 1:07:49Speaker 11: No. I love to cook and I wanted to get
- 1:07:51Speaker 11: one of these things, but I didn't want to just
- 1:07:52Speaker 11: go buy anything. I wanted to kind of you know,
- 1:07:55Speaker 11: be particular about what I got, and you know, having
- 1:07:59Speaker 11: the money to go and do it, it's been tough.
- 1:08:01Speaker 11: So this is nice to win.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Well, that's awesome, buddy, and we thank you so much
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: for being part of it. You guys give it up
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: good and low for dayan man. You on the hold, buddy,
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: and Jack is gonna give you all the information and
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: stuff you need to grab your prize, and we'll want
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: you to come up here maybe grab some pictures and stuff.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: So thanks for everything. Happy Father's Day and congratulations. All right,
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: thank you everybody. Hold you're the man, no problem whatsoever.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: And he's already a Toolsday's Hardware customers. So that that
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: that's just the cherry on top three decade listener decade
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: the listener.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: So it made up for the twenty thousand dollars motorcycle.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: All right four seven nine one six four one back
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: in a second with more than Jim Colbert shows.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: They put video Jim Colbert Show on YouTube. Subscribe and watch.
- 1:08:50Speaker 22: After Colbert all right, quick things, Roth, I am so
- 1:08:54Speaker 22: happy that I was at what will now be the
- 1:08:57Speaker 22: genesis of what's going to bring you to world fame,
- 1:09:00Speaker 22: getting naked in part of audiences.
- 1:09:01Speaker 14: Uh too.
- 1:09:02Speaker 22: Also, Ross, I have a whole new respect for the
- 1:09:04Speaker 22: world cop I think it was.
- 1:09:05Speaker 16: A big thing.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: Didn't really get it now I do. It's awesome. But also, Jimmy,
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: do you know the difference between a bad joke and
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: a dad joke? Yeah? Don't. I don't know.
- 1:09:14Speaker 22: Well, I mean, obviously it's the first letter, big dup oh.
- 1:09:19Speaker 22: And yeah, since I unfortunately no longer have my father
- 1:09:22Speaker 22: with us and I am not a dad, I'm gonna
- 1:09:25Speaker 22: be spending the day.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Doing things me and my dad love to do.
- 1:09:28Speaker 23: Big out right, I'll du Speaking of Father's Day, We're
- 1:09:32Speaker 23: gonna change it up a little bit.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: This year.
- 1:09:34Speaker 23: My wife and I would be driving down to Bushnel
- 1:09:37Speaker 23: to visit my dad veteran cemetery. He passed away in
- 1:09:40Speaker 23: twenty twelve, so I haven't been down there since it's
- 1:09:43Speaker 23: been fourteen years, and I'm just now starting to miss
- 1:09:47Speaker 23: my dad and these other days I wish she was
- 1:09:50Speaker 23: still around, just to just to see how we're doing.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: All of his kids are doing well.
- 1:09:55Speaker 23: And yeah, she's gonna change it up, go visit him,
- 1:09:57Speaker 23: paying respects and say hey.
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: Four seven nine six four one textus seven seven zero
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: three one, I'm Jim. There's dead Hello Jack, you know
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: and Ross, Seriously, my kid has a rash. I think
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: a lot of people are so your father's pass are
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: do you plan on doing anything. Uh, just Chase, because
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Chase had a much bigger or much more cognizant relationship
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: with your dad. I mean because he was around longer. Right,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: what is your question? Are we doing anything? No, on
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: Father's Day for him? I don't know if you guys
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: do that, because he's he's not buried, right or is
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: he No, he's still kind of misplaced. He's still in
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: my laundry room where I think he is. So there's
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: no set space where you guys could go and lay
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: a flower or or you know, have a memory or
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: something like that, like a graveyard, like uh, you know
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: for my mom. My dad's alive, so for my mom,
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: Like you don't have anything like that. No, no, No,
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: don't have anything like that. No.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: It just sometimes I let my son hold my dad's ashes,
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: like because I don't know where the main entree is. Yeah,
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: like the main thing of ash. Yeah, it's in the
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: laundry room. Okay, this must be the biggest laundry room
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: of all time, by the way. No, it's just really messy.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Good.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: And then but I also have like a small sample
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: size like a Geber right right right, that's like on
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: like on like a little desk like paperweight thing, Like
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: when you go to the.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Food court at the mall, they've got that tray with
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: just like one little piece of bourbon chicken. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: And then sometimes I let my son hold like the
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: small thing of my dad's ashes, and I gotta tell you,
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: it gives me goosebumps every time.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty cool. That's wild, right, It's epic free
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: generations right there. Look how close you guys are, but
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: so far Dad or Jack? Do you do anything like that?
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: Did you just call him daddy and you thought we
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: weren't going to rip you on that? Are you aware
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: that the show is almost eight years old in November
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: the air.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: Was still vibrating and you jumped in like for me
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: saying the word it was barely I you immediately jumped
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: on dude content it's Jack so daddy, No Jackie. Do
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: you do anything like that for your dad?
- 1:12:01Speaker 19: Uh?
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Well, I'll traditionally do I'll put up a post a
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: picture of my dad and my stepdad in honor of them.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: But outside of that, in the day is about me
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: playing video game games and my wife making me whatever
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: I want to eat.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Oh, that's a really good question. So if they're families
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: out there. What what? Nothing? No, No, it's a good question
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: because he said stepdad. Like I mean, what I'm saying
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: is like, if you're a dad or you know, and
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: you marry into a family, you marry a woman who
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: has children already, you're not their dad, but and they
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: have a dad, but you don't have children with the woman.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: The only children you have are the ones that are
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: part of that relationship. Do you get celebrated like the
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: dad does? I did?
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: It depends on your relationship with some step dads are
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: take on that full dad role? I mean you did,
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: and then you ended up adopting I did. Yeah, So
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: I mean that that's as much dad as you can be.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: And the thing is, I can't remember, to be honest
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: with you, I cannot remember if if my guys actually
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: went back with their dad before the adoption happened and
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: things went awry when he wasn't in the picture anymore.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: I don't remember that. I think they may have at
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: least one year. But that's it, And it's okay to
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: celebrate both. Yah No, yeah, you know. So it's like
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: my oldest daughter, she's my stepdaughter. She has her dad's
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: in the picture, so you know, she'll do something with
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: him and then hopefully we'll have a meal together and
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: all'll be fun and cool. And I guess I mean
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: the guy has to I mean the stepdad that has
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: no you know, biological children just kind of has to understand, right,
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: I mean, you know, it just has to understand. Like
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: the kids go, they see dad and they do the
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: dad thing. They come back and you're like kind of second,
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: You're the second player. Sometimes it doesn't have to be
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: that every time, but.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: No, and it's unique to each family. Yeah, in the
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: role that they still and the relationship they still hold.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I would agree with that. What is the what
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: is the common gift for a dad is jack? Do
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: you know what would you get last year? Do you
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: remember me? It's I got golf balls? I mean mine's
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: like almost the same thing every single time. Is it
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: like clothing? Like it's clothing. Usually my wife will make
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: sure something happens, heyah, something nominal, Yeah, something small. Yeah.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Have you guys noticed mosquitoes around your house? Like a
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: swarm of mosquitos? Yeah? But then I got rid of
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: this tire that was holding water in the backyard.
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, been last night just sitting out talking
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: on the phone and it's just at that right time
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: and just.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: But have you seen swarms of them? Now? Man, I
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: gotta tell you have I have you because you lived
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: near us.
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: I saw midge flies a few weeks ago, but they
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: only they only lived for twenty four to forty eight hours.
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: I remember when we couldn't say that that's what they're called.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: So the other day, I mean yesterday, I walk out
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: and I look at my porch and there are when
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: I say, mosquitos everywhere. They're everywhere. They're dead, and my
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: porch is covered with them to the point where I
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: could slide my feet and it would see you would
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: see trails where the mosquitoes were.
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: Yeah, those are probably midge flies, which look like mosquitoes,
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: but they're not.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: They're an excellent source of food for fish and birds,
- 1:15:07Speaker 7: but they don't bite, and they don't last more than
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: a couple of days.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: But they like the color white. Oh that's my entire
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: front porch is white. So they're attracted to white. You Oh, stop,
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: But the whole idea, like when I got out there,
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: I was like, man, they're everywhere, and they're dead. They
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: are piles of them on my front porch, like piles
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: of them. Yeah, all right, four O seven nine six
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: four one text us as seven seven zero three one.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: You guys saw that we have a new fast food king, right.
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: I saw the headline, but I didn't click on it
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: because I was excited to hear about it today on
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: the radio.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Yeah, did you see it? I did? Yeah, did you
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: see it?
- 1:15:41Speaker 15: Jack?
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, man, there is a new fast food champion.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Chick fil A's rain is over for burger King. Come on,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: burger King, it's not burger King. But I gotta tell you, dude,
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: you gotta stop. We gotta stop sleeping on the wapper.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: I had a whopper for the first time in probably
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: ten years the other day, and Jack was a thousand
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: percent right. That is a damn good sandwich, dude. I'm
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: calling you. That's what I'm doing on Father's Day.
- 1:16:05Speaker 18: Now.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: The fries were okay, the coke was good, whatever, But
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: that Wammer sandwich was absolutely delicious.
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: Well that was a mistake he made right there, because
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: Burger King get onion rings and so.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: I didn't get the onion rings. I just got the fries.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: But god, it was so good. And this was a
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: busted assburger King too, by the way.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: But every time those fries adopt an onion ring, they
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: it's like a white dude had a barb.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Came to the party, bring your friend in. No like
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: a urine stowaway bringing Todd to the barbecue.
- 1:16:38Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: God, it was so good. It was delicious. It's not
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: burger King, though. I can't even come close to think.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: You gotta tell you and I don't, And I don't
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: know who did this poll. But look, I've been in
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: both of these places, and they're both wonderful places, but
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: still customer service wise, I just don't think you can
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: have a better experience in a fast food setting than
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: Chick File. And you don't know who it is.
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: I can't even guess. Take a guess Arby's. It's not Arby's.
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: Uh uh oh, we're leaving out McDonald's.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: It's not McDonald's. And to be honest with you, I
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: find it weird. Did you also find it weird who
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: it was? Yeah? Yeah, because it's not really what you
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: would consider drive through a stereotypical fast usual no no
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: drive yet, no drive through. I eat it on the regular.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: After an eleven year, after an eleven year run results
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: from sixteen thousand respondents knocked the Chicken chain from its
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: coveted spot and favorite of a sandwich shop sub No
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: Jersey Mikes is the answer Jersey Mike's gas Jersey Jersey
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Mikes has taken over it's recommended for freshness, food variety,
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: and value, scoring in a score of eighty four out
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: of one hundred, edging Chick fil A by one point.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: After two hundred and thirty eight net new locations in
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: twenty twenty five and clearing four point two billion dollars
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: in sales.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: All it took was in adding Eli Manning to the
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: commercials because he's a commercial gold.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: He is commercial gold, and it is a great product,
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: there's no question. But I do not understand how to me,
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: you still have to get out of your car to
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: go get it. Yeah, And for me, fast food means
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: you don't have to get out of your car to
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: go get it. Yeah. And that's why I think that, Like,
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: I do not understand how that ever happened.
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: I don't understand how it could be considered fast food
- 1:18:34Speaker 7: when you have to get out of your car.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: I thought the whole point of fast food is that
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: you'd have to have a drive through.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I thought as well, But that's not
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: exactly what they say. They say fast food, that Chick
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: fil A is its rain is over and they are
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: now the new fast food chain, winners to quality and satisfaction.
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: I love Jersey Mikes. I want Jersey Mike to do
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: anything he wants to me. I love those sandwiches. They're bacon.
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: I'm not even a big bacon guy, but they're bacon
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: over a Jersey Mikes. Yeahah, phenomenal, munchy, Yeah, a little dark.
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: I need to start ordering things other than just the
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Italian sub but they are my favorite Italian subs.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: Is funny enough, I was about to talk about that
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: very thing. So for me, one of the tells of
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: a good sandwich shop is not their Deli sandwiches, because,
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: in my opinion, you know, you could just cut up
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Deli meat stacking on a sandwich. And I know that's
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: kind of a blasphemed thing to say, but you could
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: get pretty close like a huah wa. Italian sub isn't
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: gonna be so far away from other Italian subs because
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: it's the God are you telling me you wouldn't be
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: able to tell Jersey Mikes is like a five time
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: better scrap and Stossio's is five times better than that.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: So but my point is this, the bread and the
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: meats are about the same. You're gonna get your ham
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: capa cole salami, and it's gonna be made up of
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: the same stuff. Right to me, what makes a a
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: sub shop is the cheese steak. I believe if you
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: make a good cheese, take everything else on the on
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: the menu is gonna be pretty good. And I think
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: Jersey Mikes does a damn good cheese.
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: There's one indicator of a sandwich shop going from good
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: to great, from great to amazing, and you it's when
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: they slice it, when they have the slicer, when the
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: freshmen themselves cannonball shaped thing of meat like a sphere
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: of bird.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: Bird sphere, and then they just, you know, just grind it.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: Against this spinning three sixty blade and you can just
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: see it translucent as meat paper shoots out on the
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: other side of it.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Oh lord God.
- 1:20:39Speaker 4: Our Jersey Mike connection on staff at Local just texted
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: and he said they have begun opening drive through locations.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Really, I didn't know that logo was that crazy
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: about him.
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: Now with all of that, he was an endorsement for
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: a while, and we every time we do a Monster's
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: Brew bus, they at Jersey Mike's provider.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I love Jersey Mikes. So and so let me
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: preface that, but the last time I was at Jersey Mikes.
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: You ever walk into any restaurant, fast food place, anything,
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: and then you get caught up in the drama of
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: the employees, and then you're like, do you comment, Yeah,
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: I don't think Brandon's going to be a working here
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: for very much longer.
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: Getting one of those popeyeesacking. Yeah, Like I I literally
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: walked in. The first thing I heard was he just
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: threw cheese at me. The best thing is like when
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: you're to drive through and you can hear it to
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: the restaurant, but like, no, he didn't.
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, oh I love Jersey Mike said, I love
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: if you would he on the app and you have
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: it go. You walk in and there's that long line
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: and you just right have your food and you're out.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: I thought, also a little weird at this Jersey Mike's.
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: Maybe this is being a little too specific, but she
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: the person ringing me up or at that position was
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: probably nine eight months pregnant. And then the one of
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: the dudes was on our wee gate in Jersey. Yeah,
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: one of the dudes was on a break and I
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: gotta tell you, just a rough.
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: Look.
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: It's just a rough seeing this guy complaining about getting
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: cheese tossed out.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: Oh, pregnant woman is making sandwiches. Yeah, I got yeah,
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: I have a good scene there. Yeah. Yeah, it's uh yeah,
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: public's uh. Somebody said public subp is for them, and
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: then somebody said, hot take, Chick fil A's trash. I
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: don't buy that. Chicken Bilaz is not trash. No, I
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: wouldn't say. It's just super consistent. That's where they score.
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: I'm super consistent. I'm only surprised where they do kind
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: of tricky a little bit in the sense of like
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: they only do like four or five things. Yeah, but
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: that's all they have to do, right, And if you do
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: it well and consistently, Yeah, that's the whole thing. You
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: just have to make it, it's a winning for him. Yeah.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: And they went fried chicken. They were like, the voted
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: the best fried chicken. I'm like, that's not fried chicken,
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: that's only that. Yeah, that was suspect. Yeah, that's on
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: a fried chicken restaurant.
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: Also, Chick fil A still falls guilty of every fast
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: food establishment, which is like, go there right before it closes.
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: You bite into anything, Tell me how it bites back?
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah and it does? Yeah, alright, seven seven zero
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: three one back in a second.
- 1:23:01Speaker 21: Hey, I was at o'hana ful to all the fathers
- 1:23:03Speaker 21: out there, holy la McCool khane, And that's how you
- 1:23:07Speaker 21: would say it in the Hawaiian language. Anyway, me, I
- 1:23:11Speaker 21: got no chaw RNs. So this Sunday definitely will be
- 1:23:14Speaker 21: watching the US Open, probably kicking back and forth on
- 1:23:17Speaker 21: some World Cup games because I'm hooked like a big
- 1:23:20Speaker 21: bish love me the World Cup? Jack, Do you remember
- 1:23:24Speaker 21: Don's hoogie's over here? And I give my props to
- 1:23:27Speaker 21: Jersey mics. But anyway, Aloha hello.
- 1:23:32Speaker 20: Chicka is not fried chicken. You have to be able
- 1:23:35Speaker 20: to hold fried chicken. And I want to say suck
- 1:23:39Speaker 20: the bone, but that's just so necessary and inappropriate. But
- 1:23:44Speaker 20: you have to do that. You have to be able
- 1:23:46Speaker 20: to do and eat the crispy bits that your mom
- 1:23:50Speaker 20: fries and you break off when you walk by the plane.
- 1:23:54Speaker 8: Hey, guess I hope you guess it?
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: Well, Jack, I think you're wrong. It's not Eli Manning
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: who did it for Jersey. It's Danny the Beetle? Is
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: that always sunny in Philadelphia? Vibe bro? Thanks by? Yeah.
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: I was actually joking when night that Eli Manning right
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: over show or oady one or four point one. I'm
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: jim there's deb head track YEA thought that they look
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: similar twins the remake? Do you want to do? The
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: alert that I got? So we're waiting for the my
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: spot to come up, and Deb looked at me. He
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: goes and Deb like I could read Deb's voice and
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: her her body expressions because she just sits there. She'll
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: go and what'd you say you?
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: I went and then I jacked on the counter to
- 1:24:43Speaker 7: get his to get his attention because this was not
- 1:24:46Speaker 7: the ring alert I expected to see.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: Is it a bear?
- 1:24:50Speaker 13: No?
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: Keep guessing ross a wolf? No? A fox? No? You
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: want to one more guess? Jimmy already knows. Uh. A
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: big bird, No, a bob the big bird, A bobcat.
- 1:25:04Speaker 7: A monkey seen across the street from Gilbert Park and
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: Mount Dora, be aware could be dangerous.
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: There's a loose monkey in Mount Doraully.
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: Someone's pet and not wild again. We just had a
- 1:25:16Speaker 7: monkey sighting what in Longwood, just a couple of weeks ago,
- 1:25:21Speaker 7: So we don't know if these are the same monkeys
- 1:25:23Speaker 7: that are up into Silver Springs. Yeah, that will take
- 1:25:26Speaker 7: the hat and the sunglasses right off your head.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: They will take everything.
- 1:25:29Speaker 7: They'll take your money, they'll take your camera, they'll take
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: your food.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: They're not afraid.
- 1:25:33Speaker 7: So we don't know where these two sightings are if
- 1:25:36Speaker 7: this is the monkey that decided to visit Mount Dora
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: after hanging out for a bit and.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: Long way, Yeah, do not try to do not under
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: any circumstances try to draw the monkey to you. There's
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: no do not do that. Do not offer food, do
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: not do any of that stuff. Those things.
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: Yeah, do you know one of the other things you
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: shouldn't do that I don't think a lot of people
- 1:25:56Speaker 7: are aware of. Don't smile at it to monkeys because
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: primates when you show your teeth, Oh, you're threatening them.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Really.
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: Yeah, So that's Jim and Deb's advice, which is also
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: probably extremely right. But my advice, go ahead and pet
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: that thing. Maybe not a smile, don't want to scare it,
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: but have fun with it.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: Oh man, have you ever.
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: Seen what even a small primate like that can do?
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: I don't know if I should share this, but I
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: once got high with a monkey. It was a spider
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: monkey named Mama. I was in high school, and I
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: learned a lot.
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: I don't okay, real quick, you know, real quick about it.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: I don't know, is that is that animal cruelty? Yes? Yeah,
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: without question it is. But uh, I mean probably twenty
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: years ago, definitely. I mean, I'm guessing you blowing giant
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: bong hits into a monkey's face isn't going to be
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: prosecutable twenty years late. But let's hear the story.
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: I can't believe they didn't pick him for the jury.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: I even remember what it wasn't bar rooms? Did I
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: remember what we were smoking? It was blunts. It was
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: white owl, vanilla green leaf. All right, very good, that's
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: an odd thing to remember. That clearly kind of guy
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: did the monkey freaking out?
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: I'll never forget getting ripped with that monkey did do?
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: Is so awesome?
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: The monkey smoke as well? Are you just blowing hits
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: in its face? I believe I never blew a hit
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: in the monkey's face. That I did not do that
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: the people who I was with definitely did that. And
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: to be honest with you, don't know if the monkey
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: got stoned or not, but I do know that we
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: were in tears when it was going through my friend's hair.
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: Thought it was the funniest.
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it was fleeing your friend, my friend, you needed
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: a haircut, and like, sure we were stoned, but sober.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: You're also pissing your pants over that as well, Like, yeah, name.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: Was mama, my friend. It was a former circus monkey.
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: I know it sounds like I'm making that up, but
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: it was his mom's. Uh, it was his mom's acquisition,
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: super dope. I always asked him what it was like
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: living with a monkey full time, and he basically told me,
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: instead having an awful.
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: Roommate, it is man, there's a guy online or a
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: girl online that has one, and it's it's bigger than
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: you think. Right, Well, it was just one bigger than
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: you think. This was a spider monk. No, they're tiny. Yeah,
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: but what's cool.
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: About spider monkeys is that their arms are as like
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: long as their legs.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: And yeah, you know I'm telling you this is the
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: same thing. Then it just must be a little bit
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: bigger than the one that you're experiencing, and it lives
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: with them, and it is completely off the walls twenty
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: four hours a day. It is, man, it is mania.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: Just watching a video of it gives you so much anxiety.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: The thing is everywhere, swings off chandeliers, then it hits
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: the swings from there to the stairwell. It's just completely insane.
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: You haven't lived till you've joined Kristin Bereford over at
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: the Care Foundation and had.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: Monkey movie Night? Oh, what's monkey movie Night? That's when
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: you watch a movie with the monkey in the room.
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: They watch it or just yeah, they watch it. We
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: all sit on the bed and we watch them watch Tarzan.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: Nah they find that offensive, Jim, do they? Yeah? I
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: had no idea so politically. I didn't know it could
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: be crass to the monkeys.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you just lost the lost the monkeys, lost all
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: the monkey listeners.
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: Man, you lost all the monks. Dude, are you guys
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: pending on watching the Grammys?
- 1:29:36Speaker 11: Now?
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: That way you can find out what bands you don't
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: know about. Have you thought about doing that? Watch the
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Grammys and be reminded that you need to moisturize. Watch
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: the Grammys and realize completely how far you are disconnected
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: from actual culture in our world. Now, I do like it.
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: They they they've become more music bass as opposed to
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: awards based, and you see a lot of unique collaborations
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: day I would.
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: Agree with that. Yeah, and I do agree. I think
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: the Grammys they go all out to make sure the
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: sound is good, the collabs are fun, the performances are
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: on point. I do agree with that, and I do
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: like watching it. They've added some new categories. Have you
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: heard No, this is very interesting to me. Oh oh,
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: this is real interesting.
- 1:30:16Speaker 8: So it is.
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: Five new award categories, as shared by the organization, are
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: Best Asian Pop Performance, one performance, Best Asian Pop Performance. Now,
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: why wouldn't it just be pop performance and then just
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: have Asians as part of that gig? Right? Because BTS
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: is just another boy band that we've seen already iterations
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: of from the nineties. Why does it have to Why
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: does Asian have to be in there? Why can't it
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: just be best Pop Music Performance? Why do they have
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: to break that off? Because I think K pop is
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: becoming such a big genre. It's a way too Are
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: they doing that to keep American artist in? Because the
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: K pop things so big. I mean, I'm asking you
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: keep engaging with that audience.
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: Best guests that I have is that when I hear of,
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: you know, best Asian pop performance, is that the I'm
- 1:31:14Speaker 3: not some pop you know, I'm not a pop master,
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: but I do know that pop music and Asia is
- 1:31:22Speaker 3: almost its own genre, whether it's jpop, K pop, like,
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: it's got its own thing. It's probably even more important
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: right now in Asia pop music than maybe here out
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: in the West. It's got its own little sing it's
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: got its own little flavor. Well, there's no question, but
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: it is just still pop music. I guess I just
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: don't understand where we disagree. You don't think so it's
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: just a different version of pop.
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: Music, don't.
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: I don't think J pop, K pop and American pop
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: music are those are two different.
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: So you're telling me, you're telling me that I couldn't
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: put an en Sync or Backstreet Boys or any of
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: those songs right next to a K pop song, any
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: of the BTS songs, and it wouldn't sound similar. Super
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: overproduced music where boys are dancing and and and and BTS.
- 1:32:11Speaker 3: Like I said, I'm not some pop master, but BTS
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: isn't even what I'm referring to when I think about
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: the songs that I have in my music library that
- 1:32:19Speaker 3: from Asian artists, from Asian artists that are like K
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: pop jpop heavy on the horns, like Super Mario Galaxy
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: or not Galaxy but Odyssey Vibes. I just lost everyone there.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: But it's like heavy on the horns, heavy on the bassline.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: It's not necessarily like girl, you're driving me crazy. It's
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: more adventurous and whimsical with your relationship with life. At
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: least that's been my experience with K pop and jpop music.
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: Doesn't it sound like they're building in this just for
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: like the BTS thing though? Right? It doesn't sound like
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: for and for everyone who will follow BTS in the
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: you know, in the the wake of them, like they
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: did with Backstreet and in Sync. You know, there were
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: just LFO. I could go on and on and on
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: about how many bands spurned out of that, and they
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: didn't create a new pop performance that wasn't like a hey,
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: here's the best boy band. It was still just a
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: pop music performance in my opinion. I mean, I just
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: found that kind of weird that they added Asian to it.
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: What are the other genres? Are they all Asian Asian rapper?
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: And then I would be like, this has kind of weird,
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: and didn't they used to do that before? Did they
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: have black performances? Didn't they also isolate that into best
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: Black performance at one point or I think they did that.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: Look at the Grammys. No know what I'm saying. In
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: the Grammys. I think one of the the it used
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: to be, uh, they used to designate black music as
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: part of that. I think back in the seventies they
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: did that. They stopped doing it, but I believe they
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: did best R and B collaboration or duo group performance,
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: the best traditional pop vocal performance. What does that even? Why?
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: What's traditional pop vote? What would that be?
- 1:34:01Speaker 13: To me?
- 1:34:02Speaker 3: Traditional pop music? Is that example that I'm going to
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: try to sing better this time.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: Of You're driving me crazy. I'm not a good singer.
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: But the Charlie Pooth thing, I mean is that a
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: great I mean he's a pop performer and he's a
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: solo pop performer. Is that pop music or not? I
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: would think it leans on pop. But yeah, like would
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: justin Timberlake's music be traditional pop music? I would say so? Yeah. So,
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: I mean, I don't we I thought we already had that.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: Maybe it's preserving that so it's not overrun with new
- 1:34:33Speaker 4: developing chn Yeah.
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: Maybe. So that's what I said earlier about the Asian thing,
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: because there's so many of these bands coming out that
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: they need a separate category because it would be hard
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: for any other bands to get in there because there's
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: so many of them.
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: And it probably wouldn't be right for them to do
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: a white tonely category.
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: Yeah, did you find that? What I was talking about?
- 1:34:48Speaker 16: Though?
- 1:34:48Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: Best Traditional Folk Album and Best Latin Song, which again
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: I thought already existed. I thought the folk traditional albums
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: are already there, isn't there? What like Mumford and those
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: guys want over and over and this guy, Noah Kahan
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: is gonna win over and over. He's on a traditional
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: pop guy. That's a that's more of a foulk thing,
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: is it not?
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: I mean, And that's the thing about genres with music
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: is that they're they're not absolute. You know, they're just
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: the best way that we can create a way to describe.
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: Hey, what is that right?
- 1:35:19Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: Yeah? And you know, be honest, the Grammys have like
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: a history of this. Wasn't it the Grammys that gave
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: jethrow Toll the Best heavy Metal Performance or something like that.
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: The first time they had the heavy Metal Oh Grammy,
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: they gave it to Jet Throtel Well. Metallica had the
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: biggest album in the world at the time, and Ian
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: Anderson famously saying, I don't think they know what heavy
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: metal music is. They known, It's so crazy, Like, how
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: could you not, Like you're the Grammys, how could you
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: have any idea? Like you can't just reach out the
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: door and go, hey, by the way, what's heavy metal?
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: Somebody in the street knows, so just to go ahead
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: and you know, cover my tracks. It's Mickey Matsubara. Mickey Matsubara.
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: Mickey Matsubara is what got me in to like K
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: pop J pop.
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: And he's a solo artist. I assume it's a woman.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: It's a woman, I believe, okay, And it's just so
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: much fun. Is she part of the Demon Hunter K
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: pop thing or no, no, no this I mean that's
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: an old artist.
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: Yeah, Mickey Matsubara has been doing it for decades and
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: I want to say, like sixties, seventies, eighties is hurt
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: the peak of her career. Really, that's wild yeah, it
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: is weird. I am bumping it at a red light
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: and that's Korean music. I believe she is jpop. So
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: it's Japanese. Yeah yeah, I'll be damn. Is there a
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: C pop? Is there Chinese pop?
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: I don't know. I you know what, I would think
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: it's not the same fun in wimsay Bela, because like
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: when you listen to K pop J pop, how do
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: you not stop and go? Oh what? Wait? Say what
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: is that? This is too much fun? Tune in for
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: North Korean pop. They're dancing for their lives. Don't mess up. Yah,
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: you're attitude in your family dies.
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: The only day I found on older caategories it's the
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: R and B classification of having R and B categories.
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: And then they added Latin categories as well. Yeah yeah,
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: so Latin.
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: Music and now they're adding Asian. Well maybe it was.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: I remember. Here's why I remember this a right, So
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: I remember when you listen to the old Casey Caseum,
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: the old billboard was it? Yeah? What is that top
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: the billboard?
- 1:37:21Speaker 24: Top?
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Some of you and you listen to that, and
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: some they would talk about to America top forty. There
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: you go, and they would talk about like when they
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: would introduce an artist that that artist won, you know,
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: Best Black Artists or whatever at the Grammy. They would
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: say that. And those shows were like recorded in the eighties,
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: so maybe I you know, it went back to the seventies,
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: but I specifically remember that. Do you remember that at all? Oh, Casey,
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: case Well, then talking about like winning specific Grammys for
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: black artists, I don't. Yeah, yeah, I don't. It's always
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: version And now I'm going to go find it because
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: I know for a fact that exists. The Grammys have
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: never had a Best Black Artist category. No, got something else.
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: It's a thing. It's definitely not. They don't get different
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: TV than everybody done. It was local broadcasts they say
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: they have. That was in my guy, That was in
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: my buddy's bedroom. I'm sorry.
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: Next topic, categories historically shaped by black culture, such as
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: R and B rap, global music, and African music.
- 1:38:24Speaker 2: Are you asking AI or you're just doing a search?
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: Did both? You did both? Huh? Where do I remember
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: that from? I'm telling you, guys, I remember that like
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: it was yesterday. I think it's the no.
- 1:38:37Speaker 15: No.
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: I remember how odd it was draft Like, I remember
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: how odd it was hearing it. Man, I was like, God, dang,
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: that's wild that they used to say that. But I
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: guess I don't know, all right, four seven nine four
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: one text us at seven seven zero three one. We're
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: doing a very special edition to pick the porn, to
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: lot them up. It's time. I don't know this Father's
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: Day thing.
- 1:38:58Speaker 7: I'm trying to find out what time are doing stuff
- 1:39:00Speaker 7: so I can go to the strip club.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: And my wife's not telling me. It's like you doesn't
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: want me to go or something.
- 1:39:04Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 1:39:07Speaker 25: Back in the early nineties, I went to Hong Kong
- 1:39:10Speaker 25: and Thailand for honeymoon, and off the coast of Thailand
- 1:39:14Speaker 25: is a little teeny tiny island called Peepe Island.
- 1:39:17Speaker 7: We spent three days there.
- 1:39:18Speaker 25: No electricity, nothing there. Bartender was a monkey. He would
- 1:39:23Speaker 25: run around and pick up your beer bottle and shake it.
- 1:39:26Speaker 25: If it was empty, he would take off back to
- 1:39:28Speaker 25: the bar and grab another one and bring it back.
- 1:39:30Speaker 25: If it had beer in it, still you would it
- 1:39:32Speaker 25: would stick it back in the sand for you.
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: Well, what's up?
- 1:39:37Speaker 22: Cover the company.
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: It's concrete, Mike man, I dare a monkey.
- 1:39:40Speaker 13: I'll smile right at it and wave hide away.
- 1:39:43Speaker 14: Let it go up.
- 1:39:44Speaker 22: Try to steal them up sung glasses. I'll slap the
- 1:39:46Speaker 22: smile off that damn thing's face so quick they won't.
- 1:39:50Speaker 13: Even know what happened.
- 1:39:51Speaker 8: And then I'll whack it with a paddle and send
- 1:39:53Speaker 8: it right back into the water.
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: It's gonna bite you one time and their face and
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: give you monkey herpes and you are going to have
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: a bad after that.
- 1:40:00Speaker 12: Dude, there, I've.
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: Been there, just as for Ross, he's been there outside
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: the monkey heard me. Moving on back to you, Jim,
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: I'll tell you where I got the black artist thing
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: from and the black Awards thing from. The billboard charts
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: like the Billboard two hundred right used to have used
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: to call their R and B charts Hot Black Singles
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: and top Black albums, and sometimes in the Casey Caseums,
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: you know, top America's top one hundred or whatever, he
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: would mention those billboard charts because the songs would be
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: charting on the black charts, but not necessarily on the
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: white chart or not as high. That's how they would
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: say it. And that's why I remember that from topic
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: what what did Casey Caysam say? You keep your head
- 1:40:48Speaker 2: in the sky and your feet in the stall, your
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: feet underground keep reaching for the star. I was closed,
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: all right, welcome back. I'm Jim. There's deb Jack's ears
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: not that close and Jack has the Jackie sick. What's
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: in there all aboard? Chuck it, chuck a chew chew,
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: look at it glack wickety gleck Okay.

- 1:42:11Speaker 4: Absolutely?
- 1:42:12Speaker 2: All right, Well, here is a very special edition I
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: Picked the Porn. We usually do this on Fridays. We're
- 1:42:17Speaker 2: not gonna be here tomorrow, so we're going to do
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: it today. Here are three actual adult film titles and
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: one lie that puff puffs but never passes. All right, So,
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: which one of these adult films is not real? Are
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: you ready? Yeah? Here we go. Number one, Blazing Zippers,
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: Number two Oral Majorities, Number three Sweet Throat, or lastly
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: Pole Patrol. Which of those? Number one is not fake?
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: It is actually real? Blazing Zippers is for real? Really?
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah? Yeah? Interesting cover on that. Yeah, I gotta
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: tell you. I stopped looking at him. I just I
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: just cover my description a horror movie. I just covered
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: them up and I can just read the labels.
- 1:43:02Speaker 3: There is there a playing word that I'm missing there
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: with Blazing Zippers.
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: Oh, there's no play on words. No, it's just blazing zippers,
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: just people catching on fire to get their pants off
- 1:43:12Speaker 2: so fast. Okay, that's all it is, really, I mean,
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: so it seems very self explanatory. One, two, three, or four.
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: We're going to two is good? That is Sean Shawn,
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: How you doing good? How are you doing good? Buddy?
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: We're playing the porn here? Which one of the which
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: one of these is not an actual adult film title?
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: Number one? Oral Majority, number two, Sweet Throat or lastly
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: Pole Patrol the third one Pole Patrol. Yeah, that's the one.
- 1:43:43Speaker 13: But you're.
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: Sweet throat. Sweet Fruit is disgusting. I didn't even know. Man,
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: not good? Yeah, what you need five hundred dollars? That bad?
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: That's what I think every time I watch one. Every
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: time I look at one of these things, I'm like, man,
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: you need that money? That bad? And what's crazy about
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: these these films? Man? There are some legitimately beautiful women
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: who have done this for a living. And the reason
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: I think it's so wild is, you know, look, science
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: proves if you're a good looking person, you have a
- 1:44:13Speaker 2: marketed advantage over most of society, and you look at
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: some of these women, you are like, dam that is
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: a very cute person. She's very pretty and that cheery
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: there she is like taking on three dudes for fifteen
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: hundred dollars or whatever it is. You never know what
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: you don't you know, but man, yeah, A couple others
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: that did not make the list. Okay, buddy, I don't
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: even know what that was that but that was awesome,
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: all right. A couple others that did not make the
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: list before we get to ross thoughts. You have a
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: ross thoughts correct? Oh yeah, I hope it works. Okay,
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: very good, count Racula. How did you say no to that?
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: Inch by inch and smoking tailpipes? Inch by inch kind
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: of sounds like, uh, you know, like from the makers
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: the makers of Who's Honey? I Shrunk the Kids?
- 1:45:10Speaker 18: Right?
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: Way different than that comes the next family comedy. Inch
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: by inch sen Rick moranis.
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: What's coming up for thoughts.
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: That's so crazy because I was talking to Jack about it,
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: and he we been debating on whether or not I
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: should do this because we could talk about Father's Day
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: and how I'm definitely gonna swing and miss on my
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: own Father's Day. But no, I am here for fun.
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: We're here for adventure like this we're here for whimsy. Jim,
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: have you ever played Dungeons and Dragon I've never played it, buddy.
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: Now we have tried this once before, and I'm here
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: to tell you it didn't.
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: Go that well. Why is that?
- 1:45:49Speaker 3: Because I thought I should have done one thing. I
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: should have zigged instead of zagged. I've always loved Dungeons
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: and Dragons. Now trust me, I don't. You don't have
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: to touch the dial. We're not gonna play Dungeons and Dragons.
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: But we are going to choose our own adventures, okay.
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: And I've always loved mad libs or choosing your own adventure,
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: and I thought, well, what who better than us for
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: to have our own choose your own adventures? I love it,
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: so I actually have. We're gonna go where. We're gonna
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: go somewhere where no radio segment's ever gone before. We
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: are going to have three different stories, three different adventures. Okay.
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: Dad will have their own her own adventure. Jack will
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: have his own adventure. You'll have your own adventure.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: Perfect. So how about that for Rossos? That seems like
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: content to me.
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: That sounds good. I'm a little lost, but I'm sure
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: you'll expend it. All next, right, it's three different beginning, middle,
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: and ends. Okay, dude, we'll do that next. It is
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: and you will come to know my wrath, Jim colebut
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: you have aligned me and my is all gullible followers
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: for the last time. Decades ago, you mercilessly panned on

- 1:47:09Speaker 15: The hair from your head with divine You rady at
- 1:47:12Speaker 15: this sacri to just talk.
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: Of discontinuing my tax free status. Now demands of me

- 1:47:45Speaker 2: you can say.
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: It's Ross if you call me tall like sts, it's

- 1:48:34Speaker 3: watch the spin off of Game of Thrones. Yes, I did,
- 1:48:37Speaker 3: which is awesome and it just honestly, the Lord of
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: the Rings thing is just time.
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: I just haven't like I can't commit time to sit down.
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: I watch a three hour movie. Yeah, you got you
- 1:48:45Speaker 2: gotta do it? Is that good?
- 1:48:46Speaker 15: Huh?

- 1:48:47Speaker 2: best movies out there, dude. That that second one, Two Towers, Yeah,
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: I mean that series is supposed to be one of
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: the best movie series of all time, is it not? Yes? Yeah?
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: And the third one is the one that I know
- 1:48:58Speaker 4: all the oscars. But I just think they were waiting.
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, they were. The thing was bubbling. They were waiting

- 1:49:18Speaker 3: I love I love when you guys get to choose
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: your own adventure as well, which is a huge part
- 1:49:24Speaker 3: of Dungeons and Dragons. Okay, nice this We're gonna play
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: like a bottom shelf game of Dungeons and Dragons. So
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: this is dollar general Dungeons and Dragons.
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:49:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just to choose your own adventure. So I'll
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: paint the picture a little bit. Deb This is going
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: to be your page one of your adventure. You were
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: going out with the girls, all right, all right, that's
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: your adventure. Now, Jack, your adventure is that you are hungry.
- 1:49:53Speaker 3: You're gonna go get something to eat.
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: I am hungry. This is perfect, all.
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: Right now, Jim, your adventure is here we go.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: It's fun. Okay, Well, I mean you said there's what's mine.
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: I mean, depth is going up with the girls. That
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: sounds like a blast. Jackson, want to get some food.
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: That's awesome. What am I doing?
- 1:50:13Speaker 3: Your adventure is filled with, I would say, like a
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: small amount of confusion.
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: Okay, that's the theme of your story for this roster.
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: So my theme of the story is I'm going somewhere,
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: but I'm confused or on what I'm doing at all? Yeah?
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: What happens at the place? What place? Yeah? Yeah, well
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: you'll find out.
- 1:50:33Speaker 4: I depend I guess it depends on the path you picks. Okay,
- 1:50:36Speaker 4: choose your own adventure. All right, let's do it. Thank you, Jack.
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: All right, So Jack, your adventure starts off. You're walking
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: down a street. Yep, all right. To your left, you
- 1:50:44Speaker 3: see an ice cream parlor. To your right, you see
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: a pizza place. Oh man, where do you go? To
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: the left or to the right?
- 1:50:54Speaker 4: Hey, I love ice cream, but I am hungry. We're
- 1:50:56Speaker 4: going pizza. Okay, you're going pizza. Deb Are you ready?
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: I am? We're going out with the girls. Yayes.
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: Well, here's my question right well, speaking of Hildy, the
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: name of your best friend. Yeah, My question to you, though,
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: is do you call that one friend that the rest
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: of the friends are a little iffy about. Do you
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: call that friend and invite that iffy friend, or do
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: you not call that friend?
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: Do not call that friend? You do not call that
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: now because you're thinking.
- 1:51:25Speaker 7: About I'm gonna hang with that person one on one
- 1:51:29Speaker 7: instead of you know, mucking up the group dynamic.
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: All right, that see, that's how you choose your own adventure. Okay, Jim,
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: you walk into a brothel? Do you walk up to
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: the desk or go to the bathroom immediately? A brothel, dude,
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: like a like a where prostitutes are. Yeah, you walk
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: into a brothel, and now your adventure starts. Do you
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: walk up to the desk or do you go to
- 1:51:58Speaker 3: the bathroom immediately?
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: I think you go to the bathroom to call your
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: wife and tell you running away home.
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: No, I guess I go to the front desk. Okay,
- 1:52:06Speaker 3: all right, back to Jack's adventure. Now that you've chosen pizza, Yes,
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: what you to your right is pepperoni, to your left
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: is mushroom. To your right is pepperoni. To your left
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: is cheese.
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: Oh, I cheez cheeze all day. He's going cheese pizza.
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: How dare you put pepperoni on his pizza? But I
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: prefer the cheese.
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: Dare you, you go out with your friends that if
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: the friend starts to call you wondering, Hey, what's up?
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: Do you take the phone call or do you just
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: let it ring till the morning?
- 1:52:45Speaker 18: Uh?
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: Let it ring? Jim.
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: You selected the desk out of brothel. You walk up
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: to see the deals and your phone rings it's your wife.
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: Do you start to cry? Or cry harder?
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: More? Cry more? Do you cry? Or do you cry hard?
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: I don't, I don't what do we What am I doing?
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: Do you cry? I'll give those are my choices? Or
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: cry or cry harder? I'll give you. I'll give you
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: a second I'll give you a second option. Again, that's
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: not much of an adventure. Do you cry? Or do
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: you try to leave?
- 1:53:31Speaker 9: Well?
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: I try to leave? Okay, Okay, there you go, all right?
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: Because maybe I just stumbled into the brothel and I
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: didn't know what it was and that's why I went
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: to the front desk. But they feel for you and
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: they turn you around, bringing you right back to the desk.
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: You are then asked which person do you want in
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: the brothel? Oh? Is it a redhead, a blonder, a brunette?
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: Do you choose a woman or a man? Oh? Well, well,
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: I'm not gay, so I choose a woman, but I'm.
- 1:53:56Speaker 3: Not the receptionist. Here's whoa a man? I know a
- 1:54:00Speaker 3: guy named Francisco. She selects man. Anyways, back to you,
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: Jack with your cheese pizza. Yes, there is a side
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: offering of a caesar salad for four nine? Do you
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: select yes on the caesar salad for four ninety nine?
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: It might surprise you. I'm gonna go yes on that. Wow,
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: the night is coming to an end. Five dollars. The
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: knight is coming to an end.
- 1:54:27Speaker 3: Dead and at one of the girlfriends goes, all right, girls,
- 1:54:32Speaker 3: hop in my car.
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: Do you bring up ubering or do you just roll
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: the dice? Oh?
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: No, uber Jim, very responsible decision by yeah, you are
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: looking at a male prostitute in a brothel. You explain,
- 1:54:47Speaker 3: there must be some sort of miscommunication. Your male prostitute explains,
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: that's what they all say. He goes on to ask you,
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: does your family know about your little secret? Do you
- 1:54:59Speaker 3: say a yes or no?
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: I have no little secret. There's no secret. Well, you
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: did pick them. Hold up, you got to pick one,
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: yes or no? Hold on? Does your family know about
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: your little secret?
- 1:55:15Speaker 5: No?
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: Hold on? Don't call it Little Jack's Adventures. The choice
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: between cheese or pepperoni, pizza and a salad. It was
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: almost mushroom, so don't forget that. And Dev's was also
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: going out. I had an iffy friend. I had to ignore.
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: What are the choices? Again?
- 1:55:34Speaker 3: So the question from your male prostitute whose name is
- 1:55:37Speaker 3: francis what are.
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: A male prostitute? I clearly said woman.
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: But sometimes the adventure, But there was in your adventure
- 1:55:44Speaker 3: the receptionist heard whoa man? As in the receptionists in
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: your own adventure didn't hear woman. She she heard whoa man?
- 1:55:54Speaker 3: So then she selected Francisco for you. Okay, So then
- 1:55:58Speaker 3: Francisco is now wearing nothing but leather, standing in front
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: of you and is asking you does your family know
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: about your little secret?
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: Your options are yes or no. That's no. Francisco looks
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: at you and goes, that's what they all say. Then
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: you two make passionate love. You wake up. Francisco is gone.
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: You're a little sore. Francisco is gone. Do you text
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: him or do you call him? I don't know what's
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: happening here. It's to choose your own adventure. Man. I
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: don't you text your male prostitute brothel Francisco, I don't
- 1:56:48Speaker 2: know what's going on. Do you text him or do
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: you call him? I don't know what's going on. There's
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: just two options. I would I guess I would text,
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: so you would text Francis. Go why why is my
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: adventure like this? He does?
- 1:57:04Speaker 3: There, he does, Francisco doesn't respond at all. Do you
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: cry or do you go to the bathroom?
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: Well, I'm not gonna cry because I didn't want to
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: talk to Francisco to begin with, nor did I want
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: to be sore. So I go to the bathroom, maybe
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: to wash the shame away. You do go to the
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: bathroom to wash the shame away? Well, how do you
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: know that? Because this is my adventure? Do you look
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: back at the mixed the miss texts? I don't know
- 1:57:35Speaker 2: what you're taught. I don't don't. Why aren't you asking
- 1:57:38Speaker 2: them questions? Oh? Their adventures wrapped up? Minutes their adventures
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: are done. Yeah, and mine continues on with Francisco in.
- 1:57:44Speaker 3: Toe absolutely, which checks out because this is a love story.
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: It's not a love story. So you said no, I
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: said no. I don't. I say no to all of it.
- 1:57:55Speaker 3: A male prostitute named Francisco is crying in front of you.
- 1:57:59Speaker 3: Do you take him to the bathroom?
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: No, I don't. Do you take him back to the broth?
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: I don't take him anywhere. I'm not going anywhere with Francisco.
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: There is no Francisco. It's an adventure. It's not an adventure.
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: This is slanderous. It is it's to choose your own adventure. Yeah,
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: I know, I understand. That's what you say. It is.
- 1:58:19Speaker 2: That means you're slendering yourself.
- 1:58:21Speaker 3: There are no choices. The choices are dogs. These choices
- 1:58:25Speaker 3: suck and say that. Oh, actually, look at that. We're
- 1:58:34Speaker 3: going back to dead's adventure real fast. Okay, you get
- 1:58:37Speaker 3: a phone call from your friend Francisco.
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: Do you answer it? Hell? Yeah, I want that tea.
- 1:58:46Speaker 3: He goes on to explain of this wonderful lover that
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: he met last night. Oh, come on, where he works.
- 1:58:51Speaker 4: It's a compliment. It's not a compliment, he said, wonderful
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: Jim Culbert. No, Francisco goes, that's the one. Do you
- 1:58:59Speaker 4: believe him or not?
- 1:59:01Speaker 2: No? So you don't even make love good. We have
- 1:59:07Speaker 2: to be close on time, right, we probably have another
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: minute or no, I don't think. I think We need
- 1:59:11Speaker 2: to make sure that we stay on time with this.
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: We need to get as much as eight bit update
- 1:59:15Speaker 2: as possible. It's Francisco hungary for pizza. Uh whoa shack?
- 1:59:20Speaker 7: Okay, someone's willing tole Francisco.
- 1:59:24Speaker 2: I think you want the cheese. That's what you want
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: to do. Boy, that's on a tea scenario for you.
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: Your adventures not it is not. I could tell all
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: three of you guys had fun on that adventure. I don't.
- 1:59:39Speaker 2: Did not at none, No fun. None fun I had,
- 1:59:43Speaker 2: but I had none fun. Don't don't forget your ranch.
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: Was it a guy's name? It's it Francisco. It's that
- 1:59:54Speaker 2: it's a guy. I don't. I'm not down with dudes.
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: I don't. I don't. I'm roll that way. I'm not
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: sexually attracted to men. You see what I'm saying. But
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: not even like to choose your own adventure? Can I
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: tell you, especially in a choose your own adventure way,
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: you don't have the curious mind. Yeah? I do have
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: a very curious mind, just not there. Just not curious
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: enough for Francisco.
- 2:00:21Speaker 3: Are you down with Francisco? It's four beers in me.
- 2:00:24Speaker 3: We'll talk to oh my God, those are your ross thoughts. Listen,
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: bring him over for pizza.
- 2:00:28Speaker 7: We're gonna have jants to meet him from Francisco.
- 2:00:32Speaker 2: You're out there, we're gonna meet you. No, we are
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: not going to meet you, Francisco. Do not think that
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: you can meet me Francisco, hug. If your name is Francisco,
- 2:00:41Speaker 2: do not do what he's about to say. This would
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: be a very bad move on your part. Do not
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: do not do that. Don't definitely do not honk or
- 2:00:50Speaker 2: butt squeeze me. Don't do any of that. Bad move,
- 2:00:53Speaker 2: terrible advice. Whatever the definition of honk to you means,
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: give it a go. Yeah, yeah, Now if his name
- 2:00:59Speaker 2: is Phil, those are your ross thoughts about peace? All right,
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: Mills air for a seven nine one texts seven seven
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: zero three one eight bit up eight is next, Jim, Jim.

- 2:01:23Speaker 21: he's sure to set you up on his Every option
- 2:01:26Speaker 21: you have is all.
- 2:01:27Speaker 7: It's a setup.
- 2:01:30Speaker 16: I'm confused.
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: I certainly felt the wrong. Feel like a total set up.
- 2:01:38Speaker 2: All right, Ron, I like you well enough. You're going
- 2:01:42Speaker 2: off the rail. You can't stop any time now.
- 2:01:50Speaker 24: Hey, Colberte crew DC Francisco. My English so good. But
- 2:01:58Speaker 24: Senor Jack a police the pizza, please a makeey for

- 2:02:06Speaker 24: had a good time. He come and get me at
- 2:02:09Speaker 24: the Blotol. You know he paid good money because he
- 2:02:11Speaker 24: got good money too, you know. But I'm not charging
- 2:02:14Speaker 24: no more money because I really want to work things
- 2:02:17Speaker 24: for me and Senior Hommy.
- 2:02:18Speaker 16: You know.
- 2:02:19Speaker 8: Yes, the afternoon the gym called Bert show Prince of
- 2:02:22Speaker 8: the Island.
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: This year.
- 2:02:25Speaker 8: I'm not gonna eat any more turkey because you put
- 2:02:30Speaker 8: your chess out. It looks like a turkey price. Now
- 2:02:35Speaker 8: I know why Jimmy had long hair. It was all
- 2:02:39Speaker 8: for Francisco. Did you meet Francisco on the crowd Jimmy.
- 2:02:47Speaker 18: Hi, my name is Francisco. I met a young gentleman
- 2:02:52Speaker 18: this weekend. He said he was gonna Jimmy Mike Albert,
- 2:02:56Speaker 18: but they.
- 2:02:57Speaker 17: Got a phone call and got all scared and started crying.
- 2:03:01Speaker 17: So I never heard from him again. If if he's
- 2:03:05Speaker 17: still around, i'd show would love to see him again.
- 2:03:07Speaker 12: Yeah bye.
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: I was never around, dude, all right, never around. Why
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: are you guys, Pauline and acting like that actually happened?
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: Why would you do that? That doesn't make it any sense.
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: Jack said, there's tons of them. Get on the air
- 2:03:24Speaker 2: on amount of time. There's a couple more Franciscos. Our
- 2:03:31Speaker 2: next guest has to compose themselves, all right, four oh
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: seven nine. When I do not care for that? Did
- 2:03:40Speaker 2: not care for that? We have to relook at your deal.
- 2:03:44Speaker 2: I'd choose Sorry, yeah, well you're about to choose violence.
- 2:03:49Speaker 2: You don't even know. Let chuse some violence on your
- 2:03:51Speaker 2: ass on the hallway when we get out of here. Dude,
- 2:03:53Speaker 2: Now you know what I'm gonna hear the rest of
- 2:03:55Speaker 2: my life. Where's Francisco? For the rest of my life? Dog?
- 2:04:00Speaker 2: Have you chosen Ross? You had option Ross? Ross? Your
- 2:04:08Speaker 2: father's day is really gonna suck to be eating your
- 2:04:11Speaker 2: steak through a straw. Best listeners in the world, Welcome
- 2:04:16Speaker 2: back to the Jim Culbert Show Roll Radio one oh
- 2:04:18Speaker 2: four point one. I'm Jim. There's deb don't you mean no,
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: I don't uh. Jack is here as well. Francisco. All off,
- 2:04:27Speaker 2: All right, let's do eight bit update. Don't say all
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: like you mother. It's game time on real Radio. Ready for.
- 2:04:37Speaker 1: Your quick hit on gaming news, reviews and a little
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: chaos as pop Pomp tries gaming update with Jayden's starts.
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: Now in the house. Buddy, I know that you are
- 2:04:52Speaker 2: chomping at the bit. Even my old ass saw the
- 2:04:55Speaker 2: news today and everybody must be losing their gd mind.
- 2:04:59Speaker 26: Oh we we are we I texted Jack as soon
- 2:05:02Speaker 26: as I saw this because I was like, he needs
- 2:05:03Speaker 26: to know this before I even tell you what happened.
- 2:05:06Speaker 26: Sounds like you had a great time for Francisco.
- 2:05:09Speaker 2: I don't know what you're talking about, buddy. All right,
- 2:05:12Speaker 2: no clue what you're talking about? Are you fair enough?
- 2:05:14Speaker 8: Fair?
- 2:05:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fair enough. Check out the podcast. No, do
- 2:05:17Speaker 2: not do that, buddy. You're fine. It's happening. This is
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: not a drill.
- 2:05:22Speaker 26: GTA six is right around the corner, Right around the
- 2:05:27Speaker 26: corner today.
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: We just got pre order a date. It's a week
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: away exactly, June twenty fifth.
- 2:05:32Speaker 26: We can start pre ordering GTAA everybody.
- 2:05:37Speaker 2: Yeah, So, will this be the big sales event? In
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: other words, will we get an idea of how many
- 2:05:42Speaker 2: copies this thing's gonna sell because most people are gonna
- 2:05:45Speaker 2: pre order it.
- 2:05:45Speaker 26: Oh yeah, I can't wait to see the number on
- 2:05:47Speaker 26: this pre order. I guarantee you this will be the
- 2:05:49Speaker 26: biggest pre order in years. I don't know anybody that
- 2:05:52Speaker 26: pre orders games anymore. I really don't. Oh really yeah,
- 2:05:54Speaker 26: I mean maybe like digitally and they just don't say anything.
- 2:05:57Speaker 26: But like, no one goes to a store in pre
- 2:05:59Speaker 26: orders the game anymore. Really, this will be the game
- 2:06:01Speaker 26: that brings that back.
- 2:06:02Speaker 2: So you actually have to go to a physical place
- 2:06:04Speaker 2: to do that. You cannot visual too.
- 2:06:06Speaker 26: But everyone's gonna want this thing physical, especially if you
- 2:06:09Speaker 26: live in Florida. Like there's a pink flamingo on the
- 2:06:12Speaker 26: cover art. Yeah, they released the cover art. We got
- 2:06:15Speaker 26: a little bit of footage of the new game. Still
- 2:06:18Speaker 26: no trailer at all. I'm waiting for that trailer. The
- 2:06:21Speaker 26: one thing I don't understand is they announced pre orders,
- 2:06:24Speaker 26: but we haven't got a pre order bonus yet. So
- 2:06:27Speaker 26: usually when you pre order a game, they have a
- 2:06:28Speaker 26: bunch of like collector's items or something fun that you
- 2:06:31Speaker 26: get to use in the game. But we have no nothing.
- 2:06:36Speaker 26: We don't know if they're gonna come out with anything.
- 2:06:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but from what you've told me, it's it's it's
- 2:06:40Speaker 2: it's a massive accomplishment just to be able to make
- 2:06:42Speaker 2: the announcement they're making right now. Considering all the all
- 2:06:44Speaker 2: the delays that have been.
- 2:06:45Speaker 26: Happening, right, I told myself, I was like, I know,
- 2:06:47Speaker 26: we got a date and everything for pre orders now,
- 2:06:49Speaker 26: but I'm not gonna believe this game's real until it's
- 2:06:52Speaker 26: in my hands physically and I'm looking at it.
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: When is the delivery date for that? If they're pre
- 2:06:56Speaker 2: ordering in June, when is the release date?
- 2:06:58Speaker 26: I believe it's November eight, team, Oh my goodness. I mean,
- 2:07:01Speaker 26: you gotta get the pre orders in so everybody can
- 2:07:03Speaker 26: buy them.
- 2:07:04Speaker 3: I don't know if this is a hot take, but
- 2:07:06Speaker 3: it feels like a hot take maybe being caught up
- 2:07:08Speaker 3: in the moment. It's the greatest piece of content ever created.
- 2:07:14Speaker 3: We don't even know it yet, Like when it comes
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: to the budget, the hype, the medium that it's on,
- 2:07:20Speaker 3: which is a video game at like, the engineering behind it.
- 2:07:24Speaker 3: It's an eighth wonder of the world when this thing
- 2:07:27Speaker 3: comes out.
- 2:07:28Speaker 2: I mean, it just feels like it's like a Taylor
- 2:07:30Speaker 2: Swift album drop kind of thing. I mean, you know,
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: in the height of her career, when she dropped eras
- 2:07:35Speaker 2: bigger than Swift. I understand that. I don't know any
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: I don't know how to compare it to anything.
- 2:07:39Speaker 3: That's why I think it's the biggest piece of content,
- 2:07:43Speaker 3: the biggest piece of anything for entertainment purposes to ever exist.
- 2:07:48Speaker 2: Is this one of those situations like it's the day
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: after the Super Bowl, all of a sudden, everybody's sick? Yeah? Like,
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: is this gonna be one of those situations where the
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: day after the release that you're gonna have thousands of
- 2:07:58Speaker 2: people calling out of work because they're gonna be playing
- 2:08:01Speaker 2: the damn thing all day, all week long. Is that
- 2:08:03Speaker 2: what's gonna happen?
- 2:08:04Speaker 26: Well, I believe lully enough November ninethe on November nineteenth
- 2:08:07Speaker 26: a Thursday, it turns out the nineteenth.
- 2:08:09Speaker 2: Why would they make that a Thursday. Let's push it
- 2:08:11Speaker 2: to the twentieth. There's about to be a whole bunch
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: of three day weekends. Oh I'm taking a three day week.
- 2:08:16Speaker 2: What I tell you? People are right now, they're cutting
- 2:08:18Speaker 2: off one of their days off to make that the
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: day off.
- 2:08:21Speaker 4: Two weeks ago, Ryan Holmes was not here on a Wednesday,
- 2:08:24Speaker 4: or was had a scheduled day off on a Wednesday,
- 2:08:27Speaker 4: and he couldn't remember why, and then remembered that was
- 2:08:30Speaker 4: the original release date for GTA, So so he had
- 2:08:34Speaker 4: the day off and then when they change it, he
- 2:08:36Speaker 4: forgot to change.
- 2:08:37Speaker 2: Wow, that's Friday. I'll be doing eight bit update from
- 2:08:40Speaker 2: the house can be calling. It has a lot of
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: it hasn't It hasn't rulled Miami Vice Field to it.
- 2:08:45Speaker 2: It takes place in Miami, so it does. Oh yeah, baby.
- 2:08:49Speaker 26: So back on the PS two they had GTA Vice City,
- 2:08:52Speaker 26: we're going back to that same exact city. It's a
- 2:08:55Speaker 26: it's like, it's like, my it is Miami. It is,
- 2:08:57Speaker 26: but there's also a little bit of Orlando in there.
- 2:08:59Speaker 26: There's Tampa. We're going all the cross to Florida. Is
- 2:09:03Speaker 26: it just based in Florida the entire game game?
- 2:09:06Speaker 3: Dude, this is why this is about to melt this
- 2:09:09Speaker 3: state's pants off. Wow, Like Florida's already kind of infamous,
- 2:09:13Speaker 3: GTA six is about to change our state's GDP.
- 2:09:17Speaker 2: Now. I remember when they did the last one. There
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: was a lot of Florida man kind of like stuff
- 2:09:22Speaker 2: in there, like dudes that look real crazy and alligators
- 2:09:25Speaker 2: on leashes and all the stupid stuff you hear about
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: Florida doing. Is it gonna have more of that?
- 2:09:29Speaker 17: Oh?
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: Absolutely? That was the teaser video.
- 2:09:32Speaker 26: It was just about to tell you go watch the
- 2:09:33Speaker 26: first teaser trailer they dropped that. It's like that is Florida.
- 2:09:36Speaker 7: Because if you remember, there's a guy in there with
- 2:09:38Speaker 7: his face all tatted up from his mugshot. Remember, Yeah,
- 2:09:41Speaker 7: and that one guy suited him, didn't he He tried
- 2:09:43Speaker 7: to sue I do remember this story. Yes, he tried
- 2:09:46Speaker 7: to sue him and nothing happened because he was like,
- 2:09:47Speaker 7: you know, I'm gonna want some residuals from this if
- 2:09:50Speaker 7: my face is on it, and there, what is that guy?
- 2:09:52Speaker 2: Name your mugshot? That guy that everybody knows who that
- 2:09:55Speaker 2: guy is. That guy's like a famous dude down there. Yeah,
- 2:09:57Speaker 2: but no one knows his name. What's his name? He's
- 2:09:59Speaker 2: got the gold He is at the grill the whole
- 2:10:01Speaker 2: nine yards. That doesn't help.
- 2:10:03Speaker 3: Looking at the cover art of g t A six
- 2:10:06Speaker 3: gave me goosebumps. And I don't care that makes anybody
- 2:10:10Speaker 3: feel weird because seeing this, that marketing, that logo.
- 2:10:14Speaker 2: Seeing the cartoon pop art.
- 2:10:16Speaker 3: Of an alligator on the GTA six cover art is
- 2:10:22Speaker 3: making me kind of a proud Floridian.
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: To be honest with you, this is so awesome. They
- 2:10:26Speaker 2: call him the joker. That's not the guy I'm thinking about.
- 2:10:28Speaker 2: This guy's like a rapper or something like that. Oh yeah,
- 2:10:30Speaker 2: yeah this guy. Wow, And it looks so much. Look
- 2:10:33Speaker 2: how real that looks. Yeah, that teaser trailers insane? That
- 2:10:36Speaker 2: is so insane. How real that looks. It looks like
- 2:10:39Speaker 2: a videotape. Are you It literally looks like somebody who's
- 2:10:42Speaker 2: doing the video with their phone. Are you looking at
- 2:10:43Speaker 2: the video of the skyline right now? Or the trailer?
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: Jack has the trailer up? I think itsack? Yeah, yeah,
- 2:10:49Speaker 2: it's a preview. It's a teaser. How official gameplay details? Now?
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: Look the she I mean, look the other stuff. When
- 2:10:56Speaker 2: you bring people in it, you know, you can kind
- 2:10:58Speaker 2: of tell immediately, right. So when they showed that my
- 2:11:01Speaker 2: grandfather lived in Fort Lauderdale and it's those old like
- 2:11:04Speaker 2: flat houses, the flat roof houses, like three two's and
- 2:11:08Speaker 2: they all kind of look the same, right, And man,
- 2:11:10Speaker 2: when they just show that, I had a total flashback.
- 2:11:12Speaker 2: It looked exactly like that. Yeah.
- 2:11:14Speaker 26: So when Rockstar does these games, they go all out.
- 2:11:17Speaker 26: They send teams to these states, Like when they were
- 2:11:20Speaker 26: in LA for GTA five, they went to LA. When
- 2:11:22Speaker 26: they were in New York, for GTA four, they went
- 2:11:24Speaker 26: to New York. They travel all around and they pinpointed exactly.
- 2:11:30Speaker 3: Did you, by any chance see the viral video clip
- 2:11:32Speaker 3: of a rock Star developer who is out in LA
- 2:11:37Speaker 3: and he starts laughing and they ask him, why are
- 2:11:40Speaker 3: you laughing? He goes, I know exactly where we are.
- 2:11:42Speaker 3: I've never been here before.
- 2:11:44Speaker 2: Oh wow, you could put me in LA right now.
- 2:11:46Speaker 26: I know exactly where I am and where I'm going
- 2:11:48Speaker 26: because I played GTA five for so long.
- 2:11:50Speaker 2: And will that be the same for people who have
- 2:11:52Speaker 2: never been to Miami that they'll be able to watch
- 2:11:54Speaker 2: this game? And even though the Miami is a different
- 2:11:56Speaker 2: the streets are all set up the same, Like they'll
- 2:11:58Speaker 2: know how to get to Miami to Orlando from this game.
- 2:12:01Speaker 4: But it's gonna take you five minutes in the game
- 2:12:04Speaker 4: to drive from Miami to Orlando.
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, real life takes about five hours. So does
- 2:12:09Speaker 2: this also represent like the areas like Liberty City, all
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: the real sketchy areas of Miami or do they rename
- 2:12:15Speaker 2: all those little burroughs. It'll they'll rename it into their
- 2:12:17Speaker 2: own little thing.
- 2:12:18Speaker 26: They will be pinpoint like Miami is not Miami, it's
- 2:12:21Speaker 26: by City. Yea, yeah, so they they have ways around it.
- 2:12:24Speaker 26: I don't think they can legally do that, but if
- 2:12:26Speaker 26: they could, that'd be awesome.
- 2:12:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy, man. I told you about modding
- 2:12:30Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago.
- 2:12:31Speaker 26: I will the first, Well, when when it releases on PC,
- 2:12:35Speaker 26: I will, that's the first thing I'll do. Oh yeah,
- 2:12:37Speaker 26: I'll make it. I'll make it like real life essentially,
- 2:12:39Speaker 26: I will be living in real Florida socially.
- 2:12:41Speaker 2: How do you mod I mean, do you have to
- 2:12:43Speaker 2: buy those modifications or do you have to earn them
- 2:12:45Speaker 2: or everything's free?
- 2:12:46Speaker 26: You just download files put them in your game files
- 2:12:48Speaker 26: only on PC. Yeah, I mean you're gonna have to
- 2:12:51Speaker 26: wait a while for that because GTA always comes out
- 2:12:52Speaker 26: a year later on piece.
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: Now, you don't play it on PC, right, you played
- 2:12:55Speaker 2: on a game like a game console or.
- 2:12:57Speaker 3: I'm a console gamer. I'm an Xbox guy and I
- 2:13:00Speaker 3: love my switch too.
- 2:13:01Speaker 2: What is the what is the difference between the PC
- 2:13:03Speaker 2: version and the Xbox version?
- 2:13:05Speaker 14: Is it more?
- 2:13:06Speaker 2: Is the PC version faster or is the clarity better
- 2:13:09Speaker 2: or something? Or it can be. It all depends.
- 2:13:12Speaker 3: PC gaming, to my knowledge, is the nicest way to game.
- 2:13:17Speaker 3: If you are willing to invest when you buy a console. Yeah,
- 2:13:20Speaker 3: it's when you buy a console, that's what you're set.
- 2:13:23Speaker 3: That's your specs.
- 2:13:24Speaker 6: What is it?
- 2:13:24Speaker 2: What is your gaming like? When when you put together
- 2:13:26Speaker 2: your gaming system? What do you have invested in? Dude?
- 2:13:29Speaker 26: If you want, I have a pre built I couldn't
- 2:13:30Speaker 26: tell you a single thing about my specs. Oh really no,
- 2:13:33Speaker 26: I just want to be able to have that computer
- 2:13:35Speaker 26: run and run good games. So I just got the
- 2:13:37Speaker 26: most up to date one.
- 2:13:38Speaker 2: So I hear. It's like when you get one of
- 2:13:40Speaker 2: the things you have to upgrade the graphics card and
- 2:13:42Speaker 2: the sound card. That like that's immediate, right, Yes, your
- 2:13:45Speaker 2: your computer has to handle the refresh rates for these games.
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: Is that the deal? Yeah?
- 2:13:49Speaker 26: I mean when more powerful games come out, yeah, you'll
- 2:13:51Speaker 26: need an upgrade in your system. But there's only you
- 2:13:54Speaker 26: only really touch a couple of things here and there.
- 2:13:56Speaker 26: You don't rebuild it at large.
- 2:13:58Speaker 7: By the way, Lawrence aka Florida Joker, Yeah, someone just
- 2:14:02Speaker 7: texted us to a seven seven zero three win.
- 2:14:04Speaker 2: Thank you? And ross. Is the experience the same on
- 2:14:07Speaker 2: switch as it is on your console.
- 2:14:09Speaker 3: It is not, however, switched to really close. They kind
- 2:14:14Speaker 3: of switch to the latest switch console is basically in
- 2:14:18Speaker 3: the same cold sect. Now I'm playing the same games
- 2:14:21Speaker 3: on Xbox as I am on the switch to, which
- 2:14:24Speaker 3: feels awesome, and I put it in my veins.
- 2:14:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you only have a couple of minutes here, buddy.
- 2:14:28Speaker 2: I know that this is the big news the GTA
- 2:14:30Speaker 2: pre sale, for sure, but anything else out there worth mentioning.
- 2:14:34Speaker 26: I just saw this story about Lego coming out with
- 2:14:36Speaker 26: this massive pinball machine over eleven thousand pieces, like it's
- 2:14:39Speaker 26: a real pinball machine for two hundred and thirty dollars.
- 2:14:41Speaker 26: I kind of thought that was a steal thinking about
- 2:14:43Speaker 26: Lego Price Steel. Yeah, I saw that. I was like, oh,
- 2:14:46Speaker 26: I'm going to buy that. And UFC six comes out tomorrow,
- 2:14:49Speaker 26: really excited for that game. I love the UFC games. Oh,
- 2:14:51Speaker 26: I've been playing them forever.
- 2:14:53Speaker 2: The only thing they would upgrade are the players, right,
- 2:14:55Speaker 2: like the fighters. That's the only reason they would need
- 2:14:57Speaker 2: to reissue one. Or do they offer more moves is
- 2:14:59Speaker 2: the same?
- 2:15:00Speaker 26: Yeah, it's it's mostly just like graphical and then they'll
- 2:15:03Speaker 26: add new fighters or they're add new moves. But honestly,
- 2:15:06Speaker 26: the games have been a downgrade since UFC two. But
- 2:15:08Speaker 26: I've heard a lot of great reviews about UFC six.
- 2:15:10Speaker 26: The people that pre ordered it was able to start
- 2:15:12Speaker 26: playing it last week, and I've heard nothing but positive stuff.
- 2:15:14Speaker 2: And you think it would be like combat thing would
- 2:15:16Speaker 2: be really big because back in the day when games
- 2:15:18Speaker 2: first started, like I mean, Jack will tell you, the
- 2:15:20Speaker 2: combat games were like really really a big deal because
- 2:15:23Speaker 2: it was the only time you could fight. You could
- 2:15:25Speaker 2: play against another player where you weren't like you know,
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: using a man a man or something like.
- 2:15:29Speaker 26: That, right, I mean, those fighting games are still popping,
- 2:15:32Speaker 26: like to this day, Mortal Kombat. There's a new one
- 2:15:35Speaker 26: that came out with The Man Forgot the TV show
- 2:15:38Speaker 26: Fits and it's an animated TV show Invincible and had
- 2:15:41Speaker 26: a fighting game. So they produce them still. But UCF
- 2:15:44Speaker 26: is or UFCS on top when it comes to martial
- 2:15:48Speaker 26: arts fighting.
- 2:15:48Speaker 2: How many of these GTA things will they sell? Is
- 2:15:50Speaker 2: this one hundred million sell? Is it more than one
- 2:15:52Speaker 2: hundred million?
- 2:15:53Speaker 26: I saw a report today that the pre order will
- 2:15:55Speaker 26: break records for sales.
- 2:15:57Speaker 2: Wow, really the pre order a lower because this is
- 2:15:59Speaker 2: a global product, right, Oh yeah, nationwide worldwide everything. Yeah,
- 2:16:02Speaker 2: they do they Okay, let me ask, can they buy
- 2:16:04Speaker 2: this in China. Yeah, I would think so.
- 2:16:07Speaker 7: Well, I don't know many really China, that's a communist country,
- 2:16:09Speaker 7: and they they limit like even I mean you can't
- 2:16:12Speaker 7: get TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and China South Korea. Yeah, I
- 2:16:16Speaker 7: would imagine you can get GTA six seper hand.
- 2:16:19Speaker 26: China's definitely banned former GTAs in the past. I don't
- 2:16:23Speaker 26: They might launch it in China, but I can't imagine
- 2:16:26Speaker 26: they would stay.
- 2:16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean what what it stands were really probably
- 2:16:29Speaker 2: isn't China, you know, I mean you know you can Yeah,
- 2:16:32Speaker 2: it's it's a bit of a rebellion. As a rule,
- 2:16:36Speaker 2: not down for rebellions. I don't know. If you saw
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: the square, that's a change.
- 2:16:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm reading some crazy numbers about how many units
- 2:16:43Speaker 3: are expected to sell. You are talking some industry voices.
- 2:16:47Speaker 3: Imagine extremely high figures, as in eighty five million units
- 2:16:52Speaker 3: shipped in the first sixty days.
- 2:16:54Speaker 26: Dude, Rockstar could start their own country with how much
- 2:16:56Speaker 26: they're going to make off this right.
- 2:16:58Speaker 2: Here, they have spent a billion dollars.
- 2:17:00Speaker 26: Making it, too well, they're gonna make it.
- 2:17:03Speaker 2: Times to say yeah.
- 2:17:04Speaker 3: Well they are expected, I mean, this is all wishy washy,
- 2:17:07Speaker 3: you have to you're talking about the future here, but
- 2:17:10Speaker 3: estimated about three point two billion dollars in revenue in
- 2:17:13Speaker 3: the first full year. Does not even bring up like,
- 2:17:17Speaker 3: let me buy stuff in the game.
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I was about to ask the next thing,
- 2:17:20Speaker 2: And we only have a couple of seconds here, but
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: I mean in that game, when you buy And that's
- 2:17:24Speaker 2: why I asked about the mods, because I so in
- 2:17:26Speaker 2: this game, do you buy guns and shields and this
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: likely like you buy with other games.
- 2:17:30Speaker 26: Yea yeah, but mostly when you're buying stuff in GTA,
- 2:17:33Speaker 26: it's on the online mode and you'll just buy cash
- 2:17:36Speaker 26: and you use the digital cash to go buy everything.
- 2:17:40Speaker 2: God, that's why you buy it in the game, Like
- 2:17:42Speaker 2: you go into a gun store in the game. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 2:17:44Speaker 2: not real life. I will go buy it a once
- 2:17:47Speaker 2: you load that up. I mean, you use that money
- 2:17:49Speaker 2: in the game like it's actual money. So if you
- 2:17:51Speaker 2: want to go get food, you go in there and
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: you pay for your food whatever.
- 2:17:53Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 2:17:53Speaker 26: I got five mili my GTA five bank account right now.
- 2:17:56Speaker 26: Whish I could turn that into real life cash.
- 2:17:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I bet you. I'm I bet dude, very good.
- 2:18:01Speaker 2: You can only treat good job today by you guys.
- 2:18:03Speaker 2: Give it a blind for Jade what he said.
- 2:18:06Speaker 4: By the way, with Jayden this weekend, he is going
- 2:18:09Speaker 4: to host Real Music Weekends. Chat is on vacation, so
- 2:18:12Speaker 4: you can hear Jayden all weekend long, Saturday and Sunday
- 2:18:15Speaker 4: on Real Radio.
- 2:18:15Speaker 2: Very nice. They've got some news.
- 2:18:17Speaker 7: Yeah, we're going to talk about Senator Rick Scott reacts
- 2:18:20Speaker 7: to Trump's signing of the Iran deal. A Marion County
- 2:18:23Speaker 7: Walmart employee is accused of stealing. It's what they stole,
- 2:18:27Speaker 7: that's the story, and parents are split over tracking adult children.
- 2:18:32Speaker 8: Mmmm.
- 2:18:33Speaker 2: We'll talk about that next during you heard it here first, cool,
- 2:18:35Speaker 2: say a little break. We'll come back and get dev
- 2:18:37Speaker 2: zews to get the hell out of here on a Thursday.
- 2:18:41Speaker 15: Hey, So there was a sketch around the time when
- 2:18:43Speaker 15: they moved the GT sixth release to when they were
- 2:18:46Speaker 15: going to say around November. There was a guy in
- 2:18:49Speaker 15: the whole sketch was he got his girlfriend pregnant in
- 2:18:52Speaker 15: order to take that week off to play GTA six
- 2:18:56Speaker 15: They tried to schedule it as close to when the
- 2:18:58Speaker 15: birth would be around that time. So that's how people
- 2:19:01Speaker 15: are gonna take it.
- 2:19:02Speaker 2: Jesus Illa franc he's going here. I thank you. Love
- 2:19:07Speaker 2: this guy, Jim. He was so sweet you er and
- 2:19:12Speaker 2: he loved me.
- 2:19:14Speaker 13: Like a woman.
- 2:19:16Speaker 23: I never heard back from my Jennie. You never ever
- 2:19:21Speaker 23: called me.
- 2:19:24Speaker 7: It breaks my heart.
- 2:19:28Speaker 13: Is broken.
- 2:19:32Speaker 2: You know what? That was? Weird islands, the weird, the
- 2:19:35Speaker 2: weird things. I actually feel bad for the guys. That
- 2:19:38Speaker 2: was big tea? Was it really a way? Big tea?
- 2:19:44Speaker 2: Little lesbian?
- 2:19:45Speaker 8: You?
- 2:19:49Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show. We're already one
- 2:19:52Speaker 2: oh four point one. I'm John, there's deb Hello, Jack
- 2:19:54Speaker 2: and Ross are here as well.
- 2:19:56Speaker 7: My favorite callback to Ross thoughts was the person who
- 2:19:59Speaker 7: text that us at seven seven zero three one and
- 2:20:02Speaker 7: said the most fictitious part of this whole bit was
- 2:20:04Speaker 7: us pretending that Jack would agree to what five dollars
- 2:20:07Speaker 7: up charge?
- 2:20:08Speaker 2: Right? Exactly? No way possible? Right? All right? Seven seven
- 2:20:12Speaker 2: zero three one. That's how you text us. Yeah, we
- 2:20:14Speaker 2: are taking tomorrow off for June teenth recognition of the
- 2:20:17Speaker 2: Is it the end of slavery here in the US?
- 2:20:19Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 2:20:20Speaker 4: More the notification that that last group in Texas months after.
- 2:20:25Speaker 2: It took a while they didn't have email or texting. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:20:29Speaker 2: we had a faithful listener who is an African American
- 2:20:32Speaker 2: man who we love greatly, is an awesome dude, And
- 2:20:34Speaker 2: he called up and was old disappointed that we hadn't
- 2:20:36Speaker 2: mentioned it. And to be honest with you, it was
- 2:20:37Speaker 2: just a slip of the mind. It wasn't. We weren't
- 2:20:39Speaker 2: trying to ignore it by any any means at all.
- 2:20:41Speaker 2: But yeah, we are taking tomorrow off for June teenth,
- 2:20:43Speaker 2: and we will see you for sure on Monday. And
- 2:20:46Speaker 2: you guys out there that are celebrating it, celebrated.
- 2:20:48Speaker 7: Loud red velvet cake. That's one of the yeah, traditional things,
- 2:20:54Speaker 7: that's a traditional meal. Yeah, really, I did not hear
- 2:20:57Speaker 7: the dessert yet exactly. Do you know anything else about the.
- 2:20:59Speaker 2: Traditional I'm trying to remember.
- 2:21:01Speaker 7: I want to say there's strawberry soda is part of
- 2:21:05Speaker 7: that as well.
- 2:21:05Speaker 2: Oh that's awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah I remember this, Yeah
- 2:21:08Speaker 2: I do, I do remember that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Strawberry

- 2:21:50Speaker 4: has been found, it has and the location again, Jimmy,
- 2:21:53Speaker 4: was that Kasimi Lakefront Park over by the Veterans Memorial Area.
- 2:21:58Speaker 4: There were five stones there that was the Disciple of stones,
- 2:22:01Speaker 4: each representing a branch of the US military.
- 2:22:04Speaker 2: I hit it in the very behind the middle wind.
- 2:22:05Speaker 2: There's a bush there and I just literally put it
- 2:22:08Speaker 2: right in that bush. It was wrapped in black duct tape,
- 2:22:11Speaker 2: and our boy Dan walked right up to it and
- 2:22:13Speaker 2: took it and apparently saw somebody saw him do it. Yeah,
- 2:22:16Speaker 2: So we had another person said, oh my god, another opportunity.
- 2:22:19Speaker 2: As I'm walking up to find it, I see a
- 2:22:21Speaker 2: guy walking away with it there.
- 2:22:22Speaker 4: I believe yesterday we had a texture that said they
- 2:22:25Speaker 4: were looking in that park.
- 2:22:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but the rain drew up. The rain waite them stop?
- 2:22:29Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, very interesting stuff. So thanks again to Tools

- 2:22:58Speaker 2: And the keyword was Walter. It's Walter Tool, the guy
- 2:23:01Speaker 2: who owns that franchise here in the central Florida. And
- 2:23:03Speaker 2: tell the sound here Jim before you move on, dude,
- 2:23:05Speaker 2: big thanks to you for what spending a crazy amount
- 2:23:08Speaker 2: of time writing that thing. Yeah. I enjoyed doing noo, butuy,
- 2:23:11Speaker 2: it's like a little hobby for.
- 2:23:12Speaker 4: Me, proportionally much greater than time amount looking for All right,
- 2:23:17Speaker 4: let's get some news there's no.
- 2:23:18Speaker 1: Good time for you heard it here. First on the
- 2:23:22Speaker 1: Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:23:23Speaker 7: Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott points out that the US
- 2:23:26Speaker 7: run Memorandum of Understanding is not the piece deal, but
- 2:23:30Speaker 7: a plan to work towards lasting piece. Scott does call
- 2:23:33Speaker 7: in to question at least one portion of the MoU
- 2:23:37Speaker 7: So we.
- 2:23:37Speaker 2: Are to hold back any money we have it theirs
- 2:23:40Speaker 2: or they pay us for the actions we had at
- 2:23:42Speaker 2: the cost of the actions. Way to take because we
- 2:23:44Speaker 2: only did this because they've been killing Americans.
- 2:23:46Speaker 7: Well, others in the GOP are much harsher critics, with
- 2:23:49Speaker 7: outgoing Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy blaming or blasting the memorandom
- 2:23:54Speaker 7: quote as the worst foreign policy blender in decades as
- 2:23:58Speaker 7: well as ill advised end quote.
- 2:23:59Speaker 2: I think Tom tillisid was the worst one in one
- 2:24:01Speaker 2: hundred years. Ted Cruz also said some stuff about it
- 2:24:03Speaker 2: as well. Lindy Raham even came out and said that
- 2:24:05Speaker 2: he was a kind of against it as well. Wow.
- 2:24:08Speaker 2: That shocking.
- 2:24:08Speaker 4: Wow both lap dogs. By the way, that's all though, right.
- 2:24:12Speaker 7: A Walmart employee in Marion County is accused of stealing
- 2:24:15Speaker 7: hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise, including Pokemon cards. Nineteen
- 2:24:20Speaker 7: year old Stephen Bambiko Oley was caught stealing the items
- 2:24:24Speaker 7: through self checkout transactions. The stolen goods included Pokemon cards, donuts, noodles,
- 2:24:30Speaker 7: pet supplies, candles, and groceries. Now that's the list you
- 2:24:34Speaker 7: want to tell your cell mates about when you're in
- 2:24:35Speaker 7: a d block.
- 2:24:36Speaker 21: Right.
- 2:24:37Speaker 7: No, Drew Ole was arrested and taken to the Marion
- 2:24:39Speaker 7: County Jail. One of those kind of kids you want
- 2:24:41Speaker 7: to keep your eye on.
- 2:24:41Speaker 11: Right.
- 2:24:42Speaker 7: But a new national poll finds phone tracking is following
- 2:24:45Speaker 7: many kids well into adulthood. The University of Michigan Health
- 2:24:48Speaker 7: pop poles as fifty two percent of parents track the
- 2:24:51Speaker 7: location of adult children between the ages of eighteen and
- 2:24:54Speaker 7: twenty five. Most say they do it for safety or emergency. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:24:59Speaker 7: and you heard it here on the Jim Culbert Show.
- 2:25:01Speaker 2: Very nice. So do we have to think today? Young lady?

- 2:25:25Speaker 2: You Bet Jack Question Today.
- 2:25:26Speaker 4: In our YouTube chat, we posed the question how do
- 2:25:29Speaker 4: you think Father's Day should be celebrated? The choices were
- 2:25:34Speaker 4: Dad must spend time with kids or dad gets to
- 2:25:37Speaker 4: do whatever he wants.
- 2:25:39Speaker 2: Dad gets to do whatever he wants. Is seventy eight percent.
- 2:25:42Speaker 2: Eighty eight percent good, very nice. We're all stand up.
- 2:25:45Speaker 2: I'm gonna point to that when I go home. Yes,
- 2:25:48Speaker 2: stand up.
