Wednesday, August 19th: Hebrews 7 introduces Melchizedek, the mysterious king of Salem and priest of God Most High who blessed Abraham. As both a king and priest—a king of righteousness and peace—Melchizedek points forward to Jesus. Unlike Israel’s temporary priests, Jesus holds a greater priesthood that doesn’t depend on ancestry and will never end.
