- 7:07Speaker 2: a good day now over in Hyattsville. Good morning, Will.
- 7:12Speaker 2: How'd you blow Valentine's Day?
- 7:15Speaker 3: I screwed up Valentine's Day by making an entire meal
- 7:18Speaker 3: for my wife that was centered. I had some stuff
- 7:21Speaker 3: mushrooms and some tasa with trouble sauce.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Will.
- 7:25Speaker 3: That sounds lovely? How does that a screw up? I
- 7:28Speaker 3: forgot that she was alertic to mushrooms, so I spent
- 7:32Speaker 3: like three hours picking a meal and she wouldn't need

- 9:04Speaker 3: died at the age of eighty four. His family says
- 9:07Speaker 3: he passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by loved ones,
- 9:10Speaker 3: after he battled Parkinson's disease well. The President has warned
- 9:14Speaker 3: that Nancy Guthrie's kidnappers would face the death penalty if
- 9:18Speaker 3: she's found dead, calling the consequences very severe. The search
- 9:22Speaker 3: for Guthrie has now entered its third week. A house
- 9:25Speaker 3: explosion in Centreville Sunday night injured one person and displaced
- 9:29Speaker 3: dozens of families. Firefighters found the home fully engulfed while
- 9:33Speaker 3: crews investigate a possible gas league. A collapse of the
- 9:37Speaker 3: Potomac Interceptor on January nineteenth released over two hundred and
- 9:41Speaker 3: forty million gallons of raw sewage into the Potomac river,
- 9:46Speaker 3: making it one of the largest spills in US history,
- 9:49Speaker 3: and that contamination now spans seventy two miles. Former Washington
- 9:54Speaker 3: Commander's Guard Tray Johnson, has died at the age of
- 9:57Speaker 3: fifty four. He played eight of his nine NFL seasons
- 10:01Speaker 3: with Washington and had recently taken a leave from his
- 10:05Speaker 3: teaching job at Landon School in Bethesda because of health issues.
- 10:09Speaker 3: While in Ocean City, boardwalk bike rides are currently limited

- 10:33Speaker 3: longevity even for less active women. Forecast today partly sunny skies,
- 10:39Speaker 3: highs around fifty two right now thirty five in Poolsville.
- 10:42Speaker 2: That's the News with Tobya Chilly in the morning. You
- 10:44Speaker 2: top stories at the top of the hour. Next on
- 10:47Speaker 2: ninety seven point one Watch FM, We're going to talk
- 10:49Speaker 2: about the arts of maintaining oneself. You know, men with
- 10:56Speaker 2: their grooming habits.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to know if you and our producer
- 11:00Speaker 3: your Crash are like the typical guy.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I would say, we're just metro enough. Well, there's a
- 11:05Speaker 2: new study out that says just how much dudes are
- 11:08Speaker 2: really into this taking care of themselves man grooming. We'll
- 11:13Speaker 2: get into it. Hang Out ninety seven point one, wash FM,
- 11:17Speaker 2: Washington's Variety of the Eighties, Nutties and Today Toby and
- 11:21Speaker 2: Tilly in the Morning, and our producer Crash has joined
- 11:23Speaker 2: us for this. There is a new survey out that
- 11:25Speaker 2: finds that dudes really like to take care of themselves
- 11:30Speaker 2: the man maintenance department, Groomingly, we're all a little metro
- 11:33Speaker 2: I think, is guys?
- 11:34Speaker 6: Though?
- 11:35Speaker 3: Is every guy that way? Because I work with two
- 11:37Speaker 3: dudes and I'm not sure that I know the answer
- 11:39Speaker 3: to these questions. Well, so the survey found that's sixty
- 11:43Speaker 3: eight percent. That's an overwhelming majority of guys say that
- 11:46Speaker 3: they care more about their appearance now than they did
- 11:49Speaker 3: five years ago. Toby, is that true for you? Yeah, okay, absolutely,
- 11:53Speaker 3: and Crash I would say that.
- 11:55Speaker 5: It's even from five years ago till now.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Oh okay. Seventy percent of guys seek guidance to slow aging,
- 12:03Speaker 3: and the average one follows seven step routine for their grooming.
- 12:08Speaker 3: That could be like your body, your head, your face,
- 12:11Speaker 3: all of the grooming related things, or any throughout the day.
- 12:13Speaker 3: It doesn't have to be all at once.
- 12:14Speaker 2: See, I lump it into like mornings and then nighttime.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Right, So if you were to add your mornings and nights,
- 12:20Speaker 3: how many steps do you think you have if you
- 12:22Speaker 3: were to ballpark it?
- 12:23Speaker 7: Eight?
- 12:23Speaker 2: Maybe nine? I'm at nine right now this.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I would say I'm in there too, eight more.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Than I after the morning routine a little bit.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yeah, And which part of your body has the most
- 12:33Speaker 3: time spent?
- 12:33Speaker 5: I'm hairless from neck to me. So this is a
- 12:36Speaker 5: commitment right here.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I'll go even tighter on the face
- 12:39Speaker 2: because the face is very important. But for me, I'm
- 12:41Speaker 2: like really obsessed with the dark circles under the eyes.
- 12:45Speaker 2: You know, I just can't stand it. And so I've
- 12:47Speaker 2: got like id puffer, I've got you know, stuff that
- 12:51Speaker 2: I can put on my face before bed if I
- 12:53Speaker 2: want to, and then in the morning I'll apply something
- 12:55Speaker 2: and then I've got a cold gimmick that goes underneath it.
- 12:58Speaker 3: It's probably still familiar to you, Like, yeah, all the
- 13:00Speaker 3: products he's talking about. Oh yeah, well I love it.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Then I do indeed work with two very metrosexual men.
- 13:05Speaker 3: That's right, we're trying to look and feel their best.
- 13:08Speaker 2: How many times have I come in here and you've
- 13:10Speaker 2: seen like some of that stuff you've smelled, like the
- 13:12Speaker 2: sprits from the spray on the face. Hang out for
- 13:15Speaker 2: a few minutes. It's ninety seven point one wash FM.
- 13:18Speaker 2: We'll talk about Valentine's Day and how it wents.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yes, especially for you because you actually planned ahead. And
- 13:25Speaker 3: I want to know if you hit a home run
- 13:27Speaker 3: with the gift you got your girlfriend.
- 13:29Speaker 2: That's my pearls. I planned ahead. Hang out from one.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Valentine's Day was over the weekend. It's ninety seven point
- 13:35Speaker 2: one WASHCHEFM. Wow, what a weekend between Valentine's Day and
- 13:39Speaker 2: President's Day. Hopefully you got a chance to unwind and
- 13:43Speaker 2: to rest and relax and celebrate the love that you
- 13:46Speaker 2: share with someone very special. Did you get to celebrate
- 13:49Speaker 2: some love this weekend? Show?
- 13:50Speaker 3: My husband and I just went and had a brunch
- 13:52Speaker 3: date on Saturday, but we don't really do Valentine's Now.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I know you actually did some planning this year. I did,
- 13:58Speaker 3: and you purchased a piece of jewelry. Was it a
- 14:01Speaker 3: bracelet for your girlfriend?
- 14:03Speaker 2: No, it's a necklace. A necklace that's right from her
- 14:06Speaker 2: favorite place on the planet to buy jewelry. It's a
- 14:11Speaker 2: Hawaiian named place that you'll find it, Tyson's. But I
- 14:14Speaker 2: had it shipped in from Hawaii. But there was just
- 14:16Speaker 2: one problem, Chilly, and you can help me figure this out.
- 14:19Speaker 2: She told me that she's not taken the necklace off
- 14:23Speaker 2: that she always wears everywhere, and I was a little
- 14:27Speaker 2: concerned that maybe I shouldn't have gotten a necklace.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Okay, so she has something that she has been wearing
- 14:33Speaker 3: probably since the day you've met her, well since the
- 14:36Speaker 3: day I gave it to her.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Oh. She says that it's very special to her because
- 14:41Speaker 2: it's the first piece of jewelry that I ever went
- 14:44Speaker 2: and picked out for and she's never taken it all.
- 14:48Speaker 3: But it's funny because this, too is a piece of
- 14:50Speaker 3: jewelry you bought for her. I know she could swap
- 14:54Speaker 3: the two back and forth. It's interesting that she's putting
- 14:57Speaker 3: way more weight and sentimova sentimental value into the first
- 15:01Speaker 3: one then to this one.
- 15:03Speaker 2: And this was my conundrum over the weekend.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Well, now what, you can't return it?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Ken, No, she doesn't want me to, she says she
- 15:10Speaker 2: loves it.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Wouldn't it annoy you if she never wore the one
- 15:13Speaker 3: you just got her? Yes, I mean it would me too.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Yes?
- 15:17Speaker 2: Come on, done listening to Cupid. I'm done planning for
- 15:21Speaker 2: Valentine's Day. I'm just gonna fly by the seat of
- 15:24Speaker 2: my pants as usual. The road to Haites is paid
- 15:28Speaker 2: with good intentions on Valentine's Day. Goodness, No, but I
- 15:31Speaker 2: think she loved it. I just wonder when she's going
- 15:34Speaker 2: to wear it? Apparently never top stories at the top

- 20:32Speaker 2: up in just minute.
- 20:33Speaker 3: We want to know where would you draw the line
- 20:35Speaker 3: when it comes to doing anything for getting attention online?
- 20:39Speaker 3: Wait till you hear what an influencer admitted to doing
- 20:43Speaker 3: just for clicks.
- 20:44Speaker 2: That is next, don't go anywhere. There's got to be
- 20:48Speaker 2: a line. How far is too far when it comes
- 20:50Speaker 2: to influencers doing literally anything for views and clicks on
- 20:57Speaker 2: the Internet of Things. Welcome to the new world. Oh y'all,
- 21:00Speaker 2: Toby get Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven point
- 21:02Speaker 2: one wash FM. Did you see the story going around
- 21:05Speaker 2: about this one influencer who faked his dog's kidnapping to
- 21:09Speaker 2: quote create entertainment end of quote.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I mean this guy went all out. I mean he's
- 21:14Speaker 3: a French influencer, and he used fake surveillance footage and
- 21:18Speaker 3: he even used a sack of potatoes instead of his
- 21:21Speaker 3: dog and then posted a tearful reunion video. It was
- 21:25Speaker 3: all bs. And then later he apologized, saying that he
- 21:29Speaker 3: acted stupidly and he didn't mean to disrespect people who've
- 21:32Speaker 3: actually lost pets. And then he said Toby that no,
- 21:35Speaker 3: this wasn't for money or followers, Yeah, entertainment.
- 21:39Speaker 2: I was just trying to create some entertainment for you. Okay, look, dude,
- 21:43Speaker 2: you're saying that after everybody got poopy pants because they
- 21:47Speaker 2: knew you totally lied to them. You know, there's got
- 21:50Speaker 2: to be a line that you can draw when it
- 21:52Speaker 2: comes to influencers and what you say, do and post
- 21:57Speaker 2: on the Internet of things.
- 21:57Speaker 3: If it's not true, Yeah, I mean, if it encourages
- 22:01Speaker 3: anybody to act stupidly, that's a line. That's a line
- 22:04Speaker 3: as well. And also, if you're going to do this
- 22:05Speaker 3: fake stuff for entertainment, at least disclose it so that
- 22:08Speaker 3: this is for entertainment purposes and not real yep.
- 22:11Speaker 2: And then I think too, you've got to have like
- 22:13Speaker 2: the common sense to not put anybody in harm's way.
- 22:17Speaker 2: If you post something that's going to cause somebody to
- 22:20Speaker 2: do something that could really seriously hurt them or harm them,
- 22:24Speaker 2: and that includes emotionally, if you emotionally manipulate them, that's
- 22:28Speaker 2: no bueno. So where's the line when it comes to
- 22:31Speaker 2: these influencers these days, they make things up just for clicks.
