- 0:58mountaintops or sea floors. Okay everybody, let's freak out
- 1:02together. This may actually be happening
- 1:05on the first flight of spacex's Starship and I'm I'm super
- 1:10excited. I'm super pumped but I'm going
- 1:12to freak out if this actually happened because I've told
- 1:14people numerous times that I don't think this Starship is
- 1:17going to launch. This is for the orbital flight
- 1:20test. By the way, I don't think SpaceX
- 1:22is going to launch a booster and a Starship and try to catch the
- 1:26booster on the tower arms. So now SpaceX released some
- 1:31stuff for the FCC. There's a document out there via
- 1:35the FCC. This shows the that may be
- 1:38happening. I'm going to show you how cool
- 1:40this is. This is the old FCC document.
- 1:44Okay, does the old FCC document this is for the launch and
- 1:48landing of the booster so as you can see on the left side where
- 1:52the green sort of like last. So we white things starts,
- 1:57that's where the that's where the booster.
- 2:00Start that's Boca Chica Beach that SpaceX is Starbase does
- 2:03little Loop comes back lands in the Gulf of Mexico, right?
- 2:07So that's cool. That's cool enough, right?
- 2:10We would get to see the most powerful rocket ever built
- 2:15launch and land nearby in the Gulf of Mexico.
- 2:20Super cool. This is different.
- 2:22This is way way, way different gonna zoom in for you right
- 2:25there, South Padre Island in that area, super heavy booster.
- 2:28Profile Lon Profile, launch it out.
- 2:34Oh, there's no more lasso we loopy thing.
- 2:37It just goes out and then comes back in to a possible.
- 2:46Catch arm Landings. What the heck is happening?
- 2:51Okay, this is new. This is Brandon has just
- 2:53released the other day and I want to share this with you.
- 2:55Let me know in the comments below what you think of this.
- 2:58Do you think this is a good idea?
- 3:00Because I'm kind of on the fence and I'm going to have a
- 3:02conversation about this because I think doing something this
- 3:05early on, in the development stage of literally, the most
- 3:10powerful rocket that's ever been built ever been flown ever been
- 3:13assembled. It's pretty scary.
- 3:18If you think about it SpaceX, for the future is going to be
- 3:23moving operations of flight to Kennedy Space Center.
- 3:27We all know that 39a is going to be the area where they're going
- 3:30to be building a new star base. Hey, take a second, hit the like
- 3:34button. Hit the Subscribe button.
- 3:36That tells YouTube that you like Starship content.
- 3:38If you want more Starship content, that's how you get it,
- 3:41you hit the Subscribe button. You hit the like button, YouTube
- 3:44will push Push out all the Starship stuff to you.
- 3:46The push out of the SpaceX stuff to you and also leave a comment
- 3:50because that's how YouTube knows that you like to interact with
- 3:52these kind of things. It's thanks.
- 3:54Appreciate it helps me helps you write and they could possibly
- 3:57move on to 49. I believe it is in the future.
- 4:02So this is where they're at right now.
- 4:03This is a SpaceX and NASA over here on the right side, top is
- 4:09the Artemis launch platform. And then right next to it is
- 4:13where they launched Falcon 9's and they will eventually launch
- 4:17starships from. And then they have another pad
- 4:1949. But it looks like this right
- 4:22now, there's literally nothing there.
- 4:25It's not built out, is a bunch of swampland out there.
- 4:28There's vegetation just a couple roads off Rogers, Rogers Road
- 4:33out there. There's literally nothing out
- 4:35there so it would take them years to develop this site
- 4:38years, to get it ready, just so they could start building.
- 4:42This out there. They have to take care of all
- 4:44the environmental reviews SpaceX and NASA would work together to
- 4:48make sure that everything is properly vetted before they
- 4:51actually moved to this site. But for now, they're down at
- 4:54Boca Chica, and this is the site.
- 4:57Again, as you can see, a lot of wetlands, they'd have to
- 5:01mitigate the damage to the environment out there and it
- 5:04would take them a long time. Because as we know, the
- 5:07environmental process for Boca Chica and the Starbase facility
- 5:10right now, it's been a Take for SpaceX it's taken them all
- 5:13really long time to get this together.
- 5:16And if they have to do this again over at Kennedy Space
- 5:21Center for this new 49 pad is going to take years.
- 5:25So I think what they're going to be doing with this with the
- 5:28current Starship ship 24, booster 7, I think what they're
- 5:33going to be doing is I think they're going to be flying it
- 5:39out, but I think they're going to get close to The Landing Pad.
- 5:41This is 39. Again, this is the pad for Anna
- 5:44is you can see in the background, there's another pad
- 5:46close by further further further have far enough away that
- 5:50they're not going to you know, put anything else in danger
- 5:53which is really great. So this could have been their
- 5:56R&D facility but the structure of the way that things are
- 6:00tested out there, it just takes a long time to get anything
- 6:03tested and SpaceX was just like this is built in Texas.
- 6:08It's the easiest thing to do but if they're going to launch this,
- 6:12This thing in Texas, and they're going to get this booster, this
- 6:17giant booster, this pictures courtesy of SpaceX, we're going
- 6:20to get this gigantic booster. Back to the pad or near the pad,
- 6:27that's going to be pretty amazing.
- 6:29How do they have to mitigate those circumstances with the FAA
- 6:34environmental review? So what they did already,
- 6:37there's an environmental review for the land that SpaceX is on
- 6:42but do they have to do anything for the water that SpaceX would
- 6:46be landing in and maybe that's why they change this.
- 6:50That's possibility. That the change, the flight
- 6:52profile. Because they may have found out
- 6:55that it could be years to to go through an environmental process
- 7:00for landing, one of these rockets in the Gulf of Mexico,
- 7:02it's possible. I'm just putting that the show
- 7:04is brought to you by backblaze, I use back place to back up my

- 9:12backblaze.com heel on out there, I don't know, I don't know, let
- 9:17me know if you know because I would love to know.
- 9:19Let me know if you know about that stuff in the comments below
- 9:22now. SpaceX, of course, has a lot on
- 9:26their plate. They're building up the launch
- 9:28Tower, they have those 75 things that they have to get done with
- 9:32the FAA. It's for the environmental
- 9:34review. They also have to continue
- 9:36testing for the booster and the and they also have to continue
- 9:43testing for the ship for the next few weeks and they do have
- 9:48some stuff coming up and there's some road closures coming up and
- 9:51I want to show you that. So road closures.
- 9:53Hang up, July 11th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. it could possibly be,
- 10:00you know, more more testing of the pipes, the tubes, if you
- 10:04will, and also pressure tests, cryo test, things like that
- 10:08coming up soon. So, that could be a possibility
- 10:11on Monday, Tuesday, same thing, Wednesday, July 13th, 10 a.m. to
- 10:1610 p.m. all week until Friday. So, of course, we've talked
- 10:20about this a million times, but Friday, Saturday Sunday is Off
- 10:23the table for SpaceX testing at Starbase because the local
- 10:28government, Cameron County government and the Brownsville
- 10:30area and the South Padre area. They all said we need this beach
- 10:34open in the summer time. We need this beach open on the
- 10:37weekends because people like to actually go down there and hang
- 10:39out. So if you're blocking off the
- 10:41road for these people for your testing, that's not cool.
- 10:45Space X. So that's what that was part of
- 10:47the environmental thing to like don't block off the beach, man.
- 10:50Like let's just get these people down there to enjoy.
- 10:53Their coveted Beach time access. So, that's another thing.
- 10:58So every Friday, we miss out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of
- 11:02testing Monday, July 18th. If you think it's going to be
- 11:05launching in July, I don't think it's going to.
- 11:08I've talked to so many people in the industry.
- 11:12There's people that are sort of hesitant about saying when it
- 11:15will launch. But there's other people that
- 11:18are like look man, it's not a logical.
- 11:19Next year, it's not going to last till February of next year
- 11:22because there's so much stuff to do and there's so much testing
- 11:25to do. Every static fire test is going
- 11:28to take two to three days. Every you know, every cryogenic
- 11:33test takes a whole day. Could they do more pressure
- 11:36test? Yeah, they have to stack this
- 11:38thing up. Could take two or three days to
- 11:40stack it, it'll stack in one day, and it might take them a
- 11:45day to process that data and make sure everything's fine.
- 11:47Make sure everything is sitting well together, let it sit there
- 11:51for a day. Let it sit there for 12 hours.
- 11:53And let's just see what happens and then gather some more data
- 11:57and then possibly do a cryogenic test with it.
- 11:59With both things stacked, on top of each other.
- 12:01Can the booster withstand the weight of the Starship, that's
- 12:06another thing, they have to stack it up and make sure, make
- 12:08sure that it fits properly a fit test with ship 24.
- 12:12Booster 7, I think that's coming somewhat soon thing that's
- 12:16coming. Someone soon ship. 24 needs all
- 12:19the other stuff to it needs to go through another cycle of
- 12:22process. Is a whole cycle of tests so
- 12:25that's going to be a while. So, what I'm going to guess, I'm
- 12:29going to guess this, and I've done this.
- 12:31So be something different. Then I'm thinking September, I
- 12:33think in September, but there's a lot to do there.
- 12:36And we know for a fact that SpaceX is kind of in a rush,
- 12:41kind of in a rush because they want to get this thing done.
- 12:44Is it going to launch before the SLS?
- 12:46I don't think so. But that's all right, because
- 12:49think about it like this, super heavy summer.
- 12:52That's pretty cool, too. We have an SLS launch.
- 12:55We have a Starship possible. Launch summertime to, I'm
- 12:59thinking fall more, so September October, but we'll see.
- 13:04We'll see what happens. And I hope, I hope we get one
- 13:06sooner than later, but as you can see, there's there's so much
- 13:10to be done. But this flight profile seems
- 13:13pretty crazy to me. Flight profile.
- 13:16Seems pretty crazy. Do they have to get some sort of
- 13:21regulatory? Removal tool and this that close
- 13:26to the beach and Boca Chica. Because if anything happens to
- 13:31the fish fish and wildlife department would probably flip
- 13:35out you know if a booster lands near the orbital launch mount,
- 13:42it just has it red right there. Sharp metal flies into the Gulf
- 13:48of Mexico, cutting up everything in its way.
- 13:53And of course, you know, the water will, dampen the pressure
- 13:56of The Landings but still sharp metal at the bottom of the Gulf
- 14:00of Mexico possibly damaging marine life.
- 14:05That's not cool. So there may be other
- 14:08circumstances here. The SpaceX was thinking about
- 14:11when they did this new FCC thing.
- 14:14I just want to bring it to light, so everybody knows what's
- 14:17going on. Because there's going to be more
- 14:19information about this coming out soon and I'll keep you
- 14:22up-to-date of course. Because that's what I do here at
- 14:24the space news proud. So make sure to subscribe to the
- 14:26channel. Make sure to like this video and
- 14:28if you want to become a member of the show and really does help
- 14:31out. So thanks everybody for being

- 14:38we go. These people have helped out the
- 14:40show and there's more people than this that have helped out
- 14:44the show. But here are some of them.
