- 1:16SPEAKER_00: I'm Ernie Lansford.

- 1:28the marketplace.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Each time I read Proverbs,
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Scripture reveals practical insight for leadership,
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: service,
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: and building relationships that far outlast the last transaction.

- 1:47and let's explore today's proverb together.
- 1:51Today I am in Proverbs 25 verse 14 and then verse 19 using the
- 1:59Contemporary
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Standard Bible or CSB.
- 2:04Quote,
- 2:05Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of a gift
- 2:12he does not give.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Trusting in a treacherous man in time of trouble
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: in our current shifting culture,
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: we've given a cute name to a cowardly habit,
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: ghosting.
- 2:34And it happens when someone suddenly stops communicating
- 2:37without explanation.
- 2:40Now,
- 2:40my son,
- 2:41a former leader at an iconic big-box retailer,
- 2:45saw this constantly in H.R.,
- 2:49He would do interviews and they would do all the bidding and
- 2:52people would accept a
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: job offer and poof,
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: they vanished.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: They didn't even show up for the first day.
- 3:02Solomon described this perfectly in Proverbs 25 and they are
- 3:07like clouds that
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: promise rain but never deliver.
- 3:12And to the person on the other side,
- 3:14that broken trust feels like a bad tooth.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: A constant nagging pain.
- 3:22But when we do a,
- 3:23quote,
- 3:23mirror check,
- 3:24end quote,
- 3:25we might find an even more dangerous silence.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we ghost God.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm guilty of that.
- 3:35And when we feel unworthy because of our mistakes or our lack
- 3:39of discipline,
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: we tend to withdraw,
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: ghosting God.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: We stop praying.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: We stop reading his word.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: We avoid the many advisors in our faith community.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: We think God is too far away or too disappointed to hear us.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: And we may think that God is mad at us.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: We replace the truth of his grace with the avoidance of our shame.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: But let's remember this.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Ghosting God doesn't protect us.
- 4:16It only leaves us disconnected from the power source Now as
- 4:24gospel-centric customer
- 4:26success masters our effectiveness is tied to our connection If
- 4:33we're ghosting God
- 4:34because we don't feel worthy we are trying to navigate life's

- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Ghosting
- 4:45Whether it's an HR candidate screening or our own spiritual
- 4:52lives Ghosting replaces
- 4:56truth with avoidance Ephesians 4.15 calls us to quote speak the
- 5:03truth in love end
- 5:04quote and that includes speaking the truth to ourselves about
- 5:10God's grace Now
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: Silence isn't always sinful.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 22.3 tells us the prudent,
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: quote,
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: take refuge,
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: quote,
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: from abusive or manipulative situations.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And you know, Jesus withdrew from those who rejected the truth.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: The difference is the heart.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Ghosting becomes a bad tooth when silence replaces respect.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Boundaries become a refuge when silence protects righteousness.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: In a culture that disappears when things get uncomfortable,
- 5:55a gospel-centric customer success master stands out by staying
- 6:01present with their
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: clients,
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: their family,
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: and above all,
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: God.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: God the Father, God the Son,
- 6:11God the Holy Spirit think on that today's customer success code
