Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, welcome to the time with TV and bed
- 0:08Speaker 1: has a pink pen.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, I just want to say that because it matches
- 0:12Speaker 2: your shirt, so your sweater. That's a good way to
- 0:17Speaker 2: throw out the video. It let us pink represent it
- 0:21Speaker 2: represents the heart right pink and green.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Yes, indeed, I actually was gonna wear a red one
- 0:30Speaker 1: and I'm like, no, I'm gonna do pink. So we
- 0:32Speaker 1: just gravitated towards colors.
- 0:34Speaker 2: This.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I have tried over and over and over to get
- 0:39Speaker 1: my clothes ready for the next day prior to like
- 0:43Speaker 1: the day before, get my clothes ready for the next day.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah, no, because I will.
- 0:49Speaker 1: My mood is different or my energy is different, and
- 0:52Speaker 1: so then when I walk into the closet and I
- 0:54Speaker 1: look at what I picked out for the day, it
- 0:56Speaker 1: doesn't resonate, and so then I change the whole outfit.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So the power of now, yeah really, So you know
- 1:08Speaker 1: it's the only thing I will say. I'll give it this.
- 1:10Speaker 1: The only thing I say where it did work was
- 1:14Speaker 1: when I was getting up at four o'clock in the
- 1:15Speaker 1: morning to go go to the gym, and I would
- 1:19Speaker 1: lay my clothes out so I could just get out
- 1:22Speaker 1: of bed and get dressed right now, and that was helpful,
- 1:27Speaker 1: But to pick out an outfit for the next day
- 1:33Speaker 1: usually doesn't work well for me. Yeah, the other day
- 1:37Speaker 1: I picked out three outfits. Had an event to do,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and so I picked out three different outfits, had them
- 1:43Speaker 1: hanging there, and I could have mixed and matched them,
- 1:49Speaker 1: got my closet that morning, put them all away, and
- 1:53Speaker 1: picked something out completely different.
- 1:55Speaker 2: So it's just like, yeah, so interesting.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Yeah, so those things that could save us time. I know,
- 2:07Speaker 1: like I think it was. It's a billionaire. I can't
- 2:15Speaker 1: think of his name right now. I want to say,
- 2:20Speaker 1: with Steve Jobs, I'm not sure, but he had several
- 2:26Speaker 1: of the same shirts, same pants, same you know, shoes,
- 2:31Speaker 1: like everything, and he didn't have to think about it
- 2:33Speaker 1: when he got dressed. You'd just go in pick out
- 2:35Speaker 1: his It's the same thing every day, so you didn't
- 2:38Speaker 1: have to think about it. And there are some days
- 2:39Speaker 1: I kind of wish I could do that.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Well, and I kind of do the same thing that
- 2:47Speaker 2: you do. It's like I can't prepare the day before.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I mean, unless I'm going to a big thing, then
- 2:51Speaker 2: maybe I might wear that dress or whatever. I might
- 2:53Speaker 2: have planned that dress the whole time, but typically no,
- 2:56Speaker 2: because it's like I said, you're in a different energy
- 2:59Speaker 2: and so be attracted to certain colors or and I'll
- 3:02Speaker 2: walk into the closet and it's like my aisle just
- 3:05Speaker 2: like can point on to something for that for that
- 3:09Speaker 2: that date, what I'm gonna go ahead and dress for.
- 3:11Speaker 2: So it's, uh, you know, I can't prepare for that either.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Is it in the moment thing.
- 3:18Speaker 1: File and tribulations of adulting, Yeah, not even adulting. I
- 3:22Speaker 1: guess kids do this too, but.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It kind of puts us in the now though, if
- 3:28Speaker 2: you think about it, instead of us grabbing something for
- 3:31Speaker 2: the future, because we're in the moment right then. So
- 3:36Speaker 2: it's it's just kind of being now at all times.
- 3:38Speaker 2: If we can be in that space.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And I'm picking out what's resonating in that moment, just
- 3:45Speaker 1: like what you're you're relating to is in the moment.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm picking those outfits for the next day. I'm in
- 3:52Speaker 1: that energy or that vibrational frequency to match whatever it
- 3:58Speaker 1: is I'm picking out. But when I go to bed,
- 4:02Speaker 1: get up the next morning and start anew, now, I'm
- 4:06Speaker 1: not resonating with it. So this is true for I
- 4:10Speaker 1: would even say it just people. You're resonating with them
- 4:14Speaker 1: in the moment, but you may not resonate with them later,
- 4:17Speaker 1: and it's okay.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah. And I do the same thing with podcasts. Sometimes
- 4:22Speaker 2: I'll think I'll listen to that later, or I'm gonna
- 4:24Speaker 2: listen to it right now, and and I and if
- 4:26Speaker 2: I don't listen to it right now, I'm going to
- 4:27Speaker 2: listen to it next day. And I'm not in any
- 4:29Speaker 2: resonance with it, or I'm looking for something else, or
- 4:32Speaker 2: I don't want to hear anything at all. So it's like,
- 4:34Speaker 2: it's I do that with a lot of things.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Well when when when When we are in the now?
- 4:42Speaker 1: That was a mouthful to say we. It's just it's
- 4:49Speaker 1: just interesting how if you pay attention to your body
- 4:52Speaker 1: and your body is just letting you know this, this
- 4:57Speaker 1: isn't the person to be hanging out with right now now,
- 5:00Speaker 1: or this isn't the place to be right now, or
- 5:04Speaker 1: this isn't the podcast to listen to right now. Maybe
- 5:08Speaker 1: it's just being with yourself in a room by yourself.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I don't want to say isolation, but to have some
- 5:19Speaker 1: alone time, some quiet time. Maybe it's either that podcast
- 5:24Speaker 1: may not resonate with you right now, and when you
- 5:28Speaker 1: switch to a different one, that's the information you needed.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Maybe you were asking some internal questions, seeking some guidance,
- 5:35Speaker 1: and the next podcast is what would be those answers
- 5:40Speaker 1: or that guidance or that stepping stone, and or maybe
- 5:44Speaker 1: it's you just need to be in silence right now.
- 5:48Speaker 1: So it's a discernment of listening to your internal guidance
- 5:53Speaker 1: as to what is it I need right now.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And it's interesting, I had one of my guides yesterday,
- 6:00Speaker 2: not one of my guides in the living form or
- 6:02Speaker 2: in the physical form, giving me information, and one of
- 6:05Speaker 2: the things was to cut out time for myself, like
- 6:09Speaker 2: to find a way to take time for myself in
- 6:12Speaker 2: a space, make a space my own. But I really
- 6:15Speaker 2: just took it as I really need to take time
- 6:17Speaker 2: for myself, and taking time for that meditation and then
- 6:20Speaker 2: honoring my because I need a little bit more time
- 6:22Speaker 2: maybe than someone else might need in that quiet peacefulness
- 6:27Speaker 2: and recognizing. So with all that being said, it's like
- 6:29Speaker 2: recognizing what you want out of your life and what
- 6:32Speaker 2: you went out of your experiences and stuff. And recently
- 6:34Speaker 2: I was having a conversation in my relationship like I
- 6:38Speaker 2: would like it if we meditated together. I would like
- 6:40Speaker 2: it if we did all these other things, and it's
- 6:41Speaker 2: like that's what I would like, that's not what that
- 6:43Speaker 2: person would like. So it's like, okay, so just listening,
- 6:47Speaker 2: it's just okay. Then I honor myself and go do
- 6:50Speaker 2: those things. And it's cutting out the time for it.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It's taking the time for it. And then especially because
- 6:55Speaker 2: we're approaching the holidays right now, I mean they're fast approaching.
- 7:00Speaker 2: It's it's really finding time to take out for yourself
- 7:02Speaker 2: and instead of maybe making all the foods, maybe have
- 7:05Speaker 2: someone catered for it or maybe so you can enjoy
- 7:08Speaker 2: the people more, so you can enjoy being in the
- 7:10Speaker 2: now more instead of being worried about I remember my
- 7:15Speaker 2: mom was always in the kitchen, and it's like we
- 7:16Speaker 2: would always be out in the living room, or even
- 7:19Speaker 2: my mom and my dad would both be in there,
- 7:20Speaker 2: and we'd all be out in living have these conversations
- 7:22Speaker 2: and stuff, and some of us would kind of creep
- 7:25Speaker 2: into the I say creep. We would sneak into the
- 7:28Speaker 2: kitchen because we'd get some goodies or whatever it was
- 7:30Speaker 2: in there. But a lot of times there was a
- 7:32Speaker 2: lot of conversations and stuff that were missed out on
- 7:35Speaker 2: because you're so busy focused on doing all the doing.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It's back to the whole doing instead of just being
- 7:40Speaker 2: in the now, which is such a learning for me
- 7:44Speaker 2: because I've been reading The Power of the Now by
- 7:46Speaker 2: Eckart Toole, and it's like it's in observing yourself and
- 7:50Speaker 2: it's not always easy. So it's like, okay, so I practice,
- 7:53Speaker 2: I practice, I practice, and I'm like, I fall back into,
- 7:57Speaker 2: you know, old patterns a little bit, and I go
- 7:59Speaker 2: back to the book again. I start looking at this stuff.
- 8:02Speaker 2: It's exploring all these things, all these aspects of myself.
- 8:05Speaker 2: It's actually me getting to know myself better by reading
- 8:08Speaker 2: some of these books, gravitating to towards some of them.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And also, I don't always finish a book. I get
- 8:15Speaker 2: to a book to a certain point and that's where
- 8:16Speaker 2: I need it to be at that point, and then
- 8:18Speaker 2: later on I might pick up that book and it's
- 8:20Speaker 2: like it's so relevant in that moment because it's answering
- 8:23Speaker 2: the questions that I had in that moment.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I've I like that book, The Power of Now.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Read its a while back, I think when about when
- 8:37Speaker 1: it came out, and it was just one of those
- 8:43Speaker 1: catapults of understanding how important it is to be in
- 8:47Speaker 1: the now, whether it's with yourself or you're having a conversation.
- 8:53Speaker 1: It's typically in conversations when somebody is saying something, we're
- 8:56Speaker 1: busy thinking about what we're going to say in response
- 8:59Speaker 1: to them. So we were still not really one hundred
- 9:01Speaker 1: percent listening to what they're saying, and so and then
- 9:06Speaker 1: and then in that books by Eckert Toley and then
- 9:11Speaker 1: Wayne Dyer saying, you know, you don't have to answer
- 9:14Speaker 1: right away when somebody says something or ask a question.
- 9:18Speaker 1: You can take a breath and just process what you
- 9:20Speaker 1: want to say and then say it. So he's like,
- 9:25Speaker 1: you know, we we're so quick to respond that we
- 9:31Speaker 1: don't really give ourselves a moment to process what's being
- 9:34Speaker 1: said to us. So those things, just those little tidbits,
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's like it changes the dynamics when you're with somebody
- 9:42Speaker 1: and you're listening and or having a conversation. And I
- 9:48Speaker 1: find myself because I do my best to practice that
- 9:53Speaker 1: on a regular when I'm with somebody when they're speaking
- 9:56Speaker 1: to me, is you know, if I'm in the middle
- 9:58Speaker 1: of something, I don't give me a second, so I
- 10:00Speaker 1: can give you my undivided attention. Or where I do
- 10:06Speaker 1: struggle with it is when we are in groups of
- 10:09Speaker 1: people and there's multiple conversations going on and it's like, well,
- 10:12Speaker 1: well listen to that. No, I want to listen to that, right,
- 10:14Speaker 1: And I'm trying to listen to all these conversations, and
- 10:17Speaker 1: then I'm just like, guess it's not going to work.
- 10:20Speaker 1: It doesn't work.
- 10:23Speaker 2: And when you practice all that stuff, you recognize how
- 10:25Speaker 2: much you could be in your own pain right Like
- 10:28Speaker 2: it could be in the past and that can be
- 10:30Speaker 2: depressing or or it just doesn't feel good, and then
- 10:33Speaker 2: you can be in the future and that's crazy anxiety.
- 10:35Speaker 2: So if you're it just helps me to recognize where
- 10:38Speaker 2: am I at right now, what am I thinking? So
- 10:40Speaker 2: being in that awareness of that and I learned from you.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I didn't realize it was from Wayne Dyer, but you
- 10:46Speaker 2: have told me a long time ago not to you know,
- 10:49Speaker 2: just take a breath. It's okay to take a breath
- 10:50Speaker 2: before you have a response. It's okay to take a
- 10:53Speaker 2: breath before you have a reaction too. It's even better breath.
- 10:58Speaker 2: But with that all being said, it's it's just taking
- 11:02Speaker 2: the time to listen to where you're at. And when
- 11:04Speaker 2: you were talking about that, what came to my mind
- 11:06Speaker 2: is being the kid and your parent comes in all
- 11:09Speaker 2: of a sudden, it's like, what were you doing? And
- 11:11Speaker 2: it's it's like you have to have a response, like
- 11:13Speaker 2: right now, like right now, and so you know, it
- 11:16Speaker 2: was I was in those moments. But it's again, that's
- 11:18Speaker 2: that child coming forward and it's okay, it's okay. So
- 11:22Speaker 2: I let my child know that it's okay for you
- 11:25Speaker 2: to feel these ways. It's okay for you to feel
- 11:27Speaker 2: like that, yeah you're seeing it's just being in a
- 11:31Speaker 2: safe space. But it just really helps. It brings such
- 11:34Speaker 2: a more calmness to my life.
- 11:38Speaker 1: And it's interesting because because now with my job, we
- 11:43Speaker 1: are in a lot of meetings. So when somebody and
- 11:46Speaker 1: it's the same you know when you're in school, when
- 11:48Speaker 1: the teacher calls on you, of course everybody looks at you. Right,
- 11:51Speaker 1: So you're sitting in these meetings and something a question
- 11:54Speaker 1: is asked of you and like all eyes are on you,
- 11:58Speaker 1: and so you just you're in this moment of oh, shoot,
- 12:01Speaker 1: I better have an answer right now. So it's similar
- 12:04Speaker 1: to what you're saying with the kids, like you know,
- 12:06Speaker 1: your parents upset and they come in and say that
- 12:10Speaker 1: to you, and it just jolts you, and it's like interrupture.
- 12:17Speaker 1: You're thinking, it scares you, you freeze. So I've had to
- 12:22Speaker 1: learn to overcome that being in these meetings and be
- 12:28Speaker 1: comfortable with saying I don't have that answer. I don't know,
- 12:34Speaker 1: or my boss hasn't shared that with me, so I'm
- 12:36Speaker 1: not sure, or I didn't go to that meeting so
- 12:38Speaker 1: I'm not sure what's going on. So so just being
- 12:41Speaker 1: comfortable with saying I don't have that information right now
- 12:45Speaker 1: and noticing how I'm feeling when it's happening, because in
- 12:49Speaker 1: the beginning it was very nerve wracking for me because
- 12:52Speaker 1: I'm not used to sitting in big meetings, like having
- 12:56Speaker 1: you know, twenty pairs of eyes looking at you, meeting
- 12:59Speaker 1: an ant and it's like, really noticing is that and
- 13:06Speaker 1: it's the scared little girl coming up saying, oh my gosh.
- 13:09Speaker 2: We don't have the answer.
- 13:10Speaker 1: What are we gonna do. We're gonna get in trouble
- 13:12Speaker 1: right yeah, and just be able to take a breath
- 13:14Speaker 1: and just sit back in my chair and go I'm
- 13:18Speaker 1: not sure. I'll have to get back to you on that.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I've had practice with that when I'm teaching. When I'm teaching,
- 13:28Speaker 1: I was more when when you're doing something you're comfortable with,
- 13:32Speaker 1: you're more confident in doing it. And so if somebody
- 13:35Speaker 1: said something or asked me a question, and I would
- 13:38Speaker 1: just say, you know, I'm not sure about that, but
- 13:40Speaker 1: I'll find an answer. I felt very confident in saying
- 13:42Speaker 1: that in that atmosphere or environment when you're in a
- 13:47Speaker 1: business meeting, which is a whole different environment and something
- 13:52Speaker 1: that you're with business people, affluent people, people that are
- 13:56Speaker 1: on their game, and you're like, oh shit, I don't
- 14:00Speaker 1: know the answer right then you feel that in her child,
- 14:05Speaker 1: that little girl is like scared that she doesn't have
- 14:08Speaker 1: the answer. And I've learned to just had a meeting
- 14:13Speaker 1: on Friday this past week that that happened. They all
- 14:19Speaker 1: eyes were on me and asked me a question. My
- 14:21Speaker 1: boss wasn't there, so I was filling in and they
- 14:24Speaker 1: start asking me questions.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't go to those meetings.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I'm not sure what is transpiring type of thing. And
- 14:31Speaker 1: so just and noticing how much more relaxed I am
- 14:35Speaker 1: in saying that. It's just like, because it's one of
- 14:40Speaker 1: those things. Just because I work there doesn't mean I
- 14:42Speaker 1: know every little thing that's happening. Because my boss goes
- 14:46Speaker 1: to so many meetings and she goes she talks to
- 14:48Speaker 1: so many people, I would not, honestly how can I
- 14:53Speaker 1: keep up with her and keep up with my job? Right, So,
- 14:59Speaker 1: so in their world, the expectation is because I work there,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I know everything going on. But in my world, when
- 15:10Speaker 1: I say there, like, yeah, I have piles of work
- 15:14Speaker 1: to do over here, and she's over there doing her thing,
- 15:18Speaker 1: like I don't get all the details or all the
- 15:20Speaker 1: pieces because she's working on whatever it is she's working on.
- 15:24Speaker 1: So anyway, just again noticing the body in the moment
- 15:29Speaker 1: as to when you're responding to a conversation or question,
- 15:35Speaker 1: just notice what's coming up, because really, like you pointed out,
- 15:40Speaker 1: it's that that childhood fear that's popping up, that doesn't
- 15:47Speaker 1: want to get in trouble for not knowing the answers.
- 15:51Speaker 2: And it's recognizing the energy too. So when we get
- 15:54Speaker 2: it caught off guard in those moments, it's like you're
- 15:57Speaker 2: all of a sudden, you're like you're blending in with
- 15:59Speaker 2: her energy. Then you have that expectation from them, you've
- 16:02Speaker 2: just placed on yourself. And that's why it's so important
- 16:05Speaker 2: for us to get to know ourselves. It's so important
- 16:07Speaker 2: for us to know our own energy, because, hey, when
- 16:10Speaker 2: a parent comes in and when they were saying something
- 16:12Speaker 2: to the to our little kids when we were little,
- 16:14Speaker 2: we would have reacted to that energy. We would have
- 16:17Speaker 2: felt that energy and then felt like we had to
- 16:19Speaker 2: have a match to the energy, a response to that energy.
- 16:23Speaker 2: And it's recognizing even still when we have adults now
- 16:26Speaker 2: or in having adult conversations and our little kid comes up,
- 16:29Speaker 2: we could be reacting to those energies too, instead of
- 16:31Speaker 2: standing in our power like you're doing and being like,
- 16:34Speaker 2: I don't have that answer, and it's okay.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yeah. The other thing is when along with that, when
- 16:44Speaker 1: we don't have that answer, it's a oh excuse me.
- 16:51Speaker 1: It's a validation of the I'm not good enough story.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I don't have the answer. I'm not good enough. I
- 16:59Speaker 1: don't I I'm not able to participate in this conversation
- 17:06Speaker 1: because I don't have that much knowledge. I'm not good enough.
- 17:10Speaker 1: So we just keep validating that we're not good enough,
- 17:14Speaker 1: and then of course that compounds because that's what we
- 17:19Speaker 1: are telling ourselves, a story we're telling ourselves. So then
- 17:25Speaker 1: experience after experience after experience will show up to validate again,
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm not good enough. I'm not good enough. I'm not
- 17:31Speaker 1: good enough, and you just keep telling that story and
- 17:33Speaker 1: then it's just having to switch the programming within yourself
- 17:39Speaker 1: of wow, I do have a lot of wisdom, I
- 17:42Speaker 1: just don't have it in this area of expertise. I
- 17:46Speaker 1: know a lot of things, but I don't know as
- 17:49Speaker 1: much as a medical doctor. I know a lot of things,
- 17:51Speaker 1: but I don't know as much as an attorney. I
- 17:53Speaker 1: know a lot of things, but I don't know as
- 17:55Speaker 1: much as a right somebody who runs a grocery store.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Like it's okay because your knowledge. You have a lot
- 18:03Speaker 1: of knowledge and wisdom in you about something which is
- 18:06Speaker 1: you're good at, but the other things you have to learn.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And the way you got good at the things you're
- 18:11Speaker 1: good at is because you learn them and you kept
- 18:13Speaker 1: practicing them. So now when you get into a new topic,
- 18:18Speaker 1: you just got to learn them and then you get
- 18:21Speaker 1: good at them, and then you're not having those conversations
- 18:26Speaker 1: with yourself of not being good enough because you don't
- 18:28Speaker 1: know I don't know that everything there is about government
- 18:32Speaker 1: and politics and all the things, it's not It's not
- 18:35Speaker 1: ever been my jam.
- 18:36Speaker 2: It's not my thing.
- 18:38Speaker 1: So when people are having those conversations, I listen to learn.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I don't listen.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Because I need to pick sides.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I'm listening to learn, And the way I'm going to
- 18:48Speaker 1: get better is if I learn.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It's nice and because that's who you're following your passions too.
- 18:54Speaker 2: If you're following your passions, So we're not going to
- 18:56Speaker 2: know all that stuff, but we're always open to listening.
- 18:59Speaker 2: You know, there's there's you brought up the governments like that,
- 19:02Speaker 2: and it's like there's always the separate groups of you know, Democrat, Republican,
- 19:06Speaker 2: whatever else. But it's like I listened to people just
- 19:09Speaker 2: to see where they're coming from. I don't have to
- 19:11Speaker 2: have an opinion about it. I just get to listen
- 19:13Speaker 2: to what what do they think about that? And I
- 19:15Speaker 2: process that. So it's different than I would have been
- 19:17Speaker 2: in the past, because before I would have felt like
- 19:19Speaker 2: I had to have an opinion about things that and
- 19:21Speaker 2: I had to assert my opinion about things. And it's
- 19:23Speaker 2: like it doesn't matter anymore. I was talking to someone
- 19:26Speaker 2: recently about using some medications because their dog had cancer
- 19:30Speaker 2: and they had a a knee jerk reaction. My daughter's
- 19:35Speaker 2: a vet and we know all about that stuff, and
- 19:37Speaker 2: it's like, oh, okay. So I didn't say anything else.
- 19:40Speaker 2: There was nothing else for me to say, because that's
- 19:42Speaker 2: not for my journey. I've already had that journey. I've
- 19:45Speaker 2: already know that this medication has helped a dog not
- 19:48Speaker 2: had his leg removed by doing this stuff because of
- 19:51Speaker 2: something that a protocol that was we had heard about
- 19:54Speaker 2: and we recommended and gave them the medicine and the
- 19:57Speaker 2: dog is healthy, and well, you know, it's it's okay
- 20:02Speaker 2: for that to happen. It's okay. Maybe it's time for
- 20:04Speaker 2: that dog to go on to bigger and better things.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Maybe that dog's like, don't hey, don't talk my mom
- 20:09Speaker 2: out of this. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to
- 20:11Speaker 2: be out of this body. I'm ready for a new journey.
- 20:14Speaker 2: And so it's it's just knowing that things are okay,
- 20:17Speaker 2: everything's okay. Keep talking, I'll be right back, keep talking, okay.
- 20:24Speaker 2: So it's just it's just exploring the options that are
- 20:27Speaker 2: out there. But I also recognize I have slammed the
- 20:30Speaker 2: door on information that people have given me that could
- 20:34Speaker 2: have been very beneficial for me at the time, but
- 20:37Speaker 2: I wasn't in the space to receive that information. I
- 20:40Speaker 2: wasn't in the space to be open to that. And
- 20:43Speaker 2: that's the whole thing. That's where I've learned to be Now.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I'm open to receiving this information. I'm open to hearing
- 20:49Speaker 2: what someone else's opinion is about something and without judgment,
- 20:54Speaker 2: because if I'm judging others, then I'm judging myself and
- 20:57Speaker 2: I'm I'm over judging myself. I'm done with that. I
- 21:01Speaker 2: was listening to a thing today and it was a
- 21:04Speaker 2: little message. It was sent to me by one of
- 21:06Speaker 2: my daughters, and it said to look in the mirror
- 21:08Speaker 2: and smile. Just look at every time you catch your reflection, smile.
- 21:11Speaker 2: And that's made a huge difference for myself. It's changed everything.
- 21:15Speaker 2: And it's because I'm talking about not being in a
- 21:18Speaker 2: space of judgment, not judging others what they're saying, and
- 21:21Speaker 2: not judging ourselves for how we're showing up, just showing up.
- 21:26Speaker 2: So that's what I've been doing, and is even looking
- 21:28Speaker 2: in the mirror. I totally looked, totally different. When I
- 21:30Speaker 2: was smiling in the mirror, I looked like this great
- 21:31Speaker 2: ole lady when I was smiling. And then I looked
- 21:34Speaker 2: in the mirror and smiled, and I was like, I
- 21:36Speaker 2: like your chin, get a nice chin, and thanking God
- 21:40Speaker 2: for this is thank you for the beautiful skin that
- 21:43Speaker 2: I have, thank You for the suit that I get
- 21:45Speaker 2: to travel around it. I'm kind of going off in
- 21:47Speaker 2: a different direction, but that's kind of that's my life'
- 21:51Speaker 2: it's it seems to gravitate towards other things, getting to
- 21:54Speaker 2: know myself and then getting to know Creator too. And
- 21:58Speaker 2: that's where back around to the conversation about being in
- 22:02Speaker 2: quietness and stillness and finding your space, because for me,
- 22:07Speaker 2: I have a tendency to absorb a lot of people's energy,
- 22:11Speaker 2: and so every time I'm leaving someone now from a
- 22:13Speaker 2: massage or anything, I'm like, your energy stays with you.
- 22:16Speaker 2: My energy stays with me, even though duality and on
- 22:20Speaker 2: the other side of things, I know that there is
- 22:21Speaker 2: no separation, but I'm not going to take your ego
- 22:26Speaker 2: with me and I'm not going to leave my ego
- 22:28Speaker 2: with you.
- 22:31Speaker 1: But yeah, no again, that just is all in right now. Yeah,
- 22:36Speaker 1: it's recognizing it right now, So we don't we don't
- 22:41Speaker 1: spend enough time in the now because we're so busy
- 22:44Speaker 1: in our head thinking about.
- 22:46Speaker 2: What ifs, should it, could have?
- 22:48Speaker 1: Would us like me right now? If I'm not in
- 22:52Speaker 1: this conversation, I we think about all the things I
- 22:55Speaker 1: gotta do when we get done, and then I got
- 22:58Speaker 1: to pack, and so I have to be in this conversation.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I have to be present with you in order to
- 23:04Speaker 1: hear what you're saying so that we can have a conversation,
- 23:09Speaker 1: a conversation that makes sense because I can go off
- 23:13Speaker 1: on some other thing or not be hearing what you're
- 23:15Speaker 1: saying and chime in with something off the wall and
- 23:18Speaker 1: you just be like, Okay, where should go with this?
- 23:24Speaker 2: Well, I mean, and I do that a lot. I
- 23:25Speaker 2: mean I have done that a lot, honestly, but it's
- 23:29Speaker 2: different and I find myself so now that I'm being
- 23:32Speaker 2: more aware, I don't typically interrupt somebody and I have
- 23:35Speaker 2: so much in the past because my little girl needed it,
- 23:37Speaker 2: I've got to see it right now or I'm going
- 23:39Speaker 2: to forget and then then everything's going to be lost.
- 23:42Speaker 2: And it's like, that's not the way it is. But
- 23:45Speaker 2: I do find myself. Sometimes I'll do the same thing,
- 23:47Speaker 2: or I'll do it with somebody when I've been doing
- 23:49Speaker 2: so well. And I even had the conversation with someone
- 23:51Speaker 2: recently and I'm like, I'm sorry, I don't I really
- 23:54Speaker 2: don't understand why I keep doing this. But it's because
- 23:57Speaker 2: there's something going on with the other person, like there's
- 23:59Speaker 2: a learning. I'm showing up for their learning too, just
- 24:02Speaker 2: as much as they're showing up for my learning. And
- 24:05Speaker 2: it also let me know that, you know, there's still
- 24:07Speaker 2: a little bit of things I can look at within myself.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I don't have to again, I don't have to match
- 24:12Speaker 2: somebody else's energy. I don't have to even though I'm
- 24:15Speaker 2: in their energy because I do massage currently, and so
- 24:18Speaker 2: doing that massage puts me into their energy. I'm into
- 24:21Speaker 2: that space. But it's very important for me to be grounded.
- 24:25Speaker 2: So with that being grounded thing, I had learned something
- 24:27Speaker 2: just recently from Suzanne Geeseman. She was I did a
- 24:32Speaker 2: it was last Saturday. She had a little thing that
- 24:34Speaker 2: was free through the Shift network or whatever, and she
- 24:37Speaker 2: was focusing on the hara, which is basically two fingertip
- 24:42Speaker 2: you know, finger links below the belly button. And it
- 24:45Speaker 2: was called I learned it as too soon. It's tsun
- 24:49Speaker 2: below the belly button, So just putting my hand in
- 24:52Speaker 2: that space because it's so important to be grounded. She
- 24:55Speaker 2: was saying that with her being able to connect to
- 24:58Speaker 2: spirit and everything like that, she would notice it. She
- 25:00Speaker 2: would get kind of you know, she would have these
- 25:02Speaker 2: movements and stuff like that. And she says that she
- 25:04Speaker 2: learned this the spirit draw had drawn her to it,
- 25:07Speaker 2: and by putting the hand on the stomach actually grounded
- 25:09Speaker 2: her to the earth and she wasn't doing that, and
- 25:11Speaker 2: it actually increased her connection. That she was picking up
- 25:14Speaker 2: dates and other things with this knowledge. And it's like
- 25:18Speaker 2: that's something I learned about, which I never learned to
- 25:21Speaker 2: use it in that aspect, but I learned about it
- 25:23Speaker 2: when I was going through massage school, and I would
- 25:26Speaker 2: use it in yoga. So if I was and I
- 25:28Speaker 2: wouldn't put my hand there, but I would focus my
- 25:30Speaker 2: energy into that space. So if I'm doing yoga and
- 25:33Speaker 2: I don't feel like I'm grounded, or if I'm doing
- 25:35Speaker 2: anything and I didn't feel like I was grounded, as
- 25:37Speaker 2: soon as I focus on that area, I was like
- 25:39Speaker 2: a tree. I was like strong in that position. So
- 25:43Speaker 2: it's very important, like these little different tools we can
- 25:47Speaker 2: come up with that are so beneficial, just to put
- 25:50Speaker 2: your hand on there, just to draw your attention to it,
- 25:53Speaker 2: because we've gotten so focused on being grounded, of course,
- 25:56Speaker 2: but being in the heart and in the crown. So
- 25:58Speaker 2: you got this connection. So it was like incomplete connections.
- 26:01Speaker 2: It wasn't it was incomplete, It wasn't stabilized. And so
- 26:05Speaker 2: by putting my hand on the hoa or in that space,
- 26:08Speaker 2: it actually brought me stabilized. And that makes me think
- 26:10Speaker 2: of an hour glass, but it stabilized my energy to
- 26:13Speaker 2: be able to bring in more energy, and.
- 26:17Speaker 1: That the grounding being grounded is too, is a great
- 26:22Speaker 1: way to bring yourself in the present moment. So even
- 26:27Speaker 1: just touching yourself, because it draws your attention to wherever
- 26:31Speaker 1: you're touching yourself. So when I'm meditating in the morning,
- 26:37Speaker 1: I take my hands and I place them on my
- 26:38Speaker 1: abdomen and then as my hands, my hands typically warm up,
- 26:44Speaker 1: and then I'm focused on that warmth or whatever sensation
- 26:48Speaker 1: I might be feeling. Maybe they will be cold, and
- 26:50Speaker 1: I tuned into that. So being grounded, connecting with the earth,
- 26:57Speaker 1: connecting with the Heavens or God or you know, verse
- 27:01Speaker 1: brings you in the present moment. We actually get a
- 27:06Speaker 1: lot more done when we're in the present moment than
- 27:08Speaker 1: when we're in our head. So I've noticed that, Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I one hundred percent agree. I have. I think we
- 27:16Speaker 2: talked about it a few videos back. But it's like
- 27:18Speaker 2: I have recognized how much time that I've put into
- 27:22Speaker 2: being in my mind and not being present, being in
- 27:25Speaker 2: my worries and my concerns, and if I'm in that space,
- 27:28Speaker 2: I'm only processing old information. So it's letting go of
- 27:33Speaker 2: that old information and just being now because that old
- 27:37Speaker 2: information doesn't exist right now. Those experiences that I had
- 27:41Speaker 2: don't exist right now. You had.
- 27:45Speaker 1: I'm going to go back to what you said about
- 27:49Speaker 1: not interrupting somebody because you have something to say. What
- 27:53Speaker 1: came to me when you were saying that was we
- 27:57Speaker 1: were suppressed in using our voice. And I'm speaking for
- 28:01Speaker 1: you too, because I know you well enough to say this,
- 28:03Speaker 1: that we were suppressed in using our voice when we
- 28:06Speaker 1: when we were little and now that we're adults and
- 28:09Speaker 1: we've done a lot of healing through that and using
- 28:12Speaker 1: our voice that when there is a conversation and some
- 28:18Speaker 1: information come for me. It's I'll get like downloads. Information
- 28:22Speaker 1: just comes to me that I need to share to them,
- 28:24Speaker 1: and I'm excited about sharing them, and i just want
- 28:26Speaker 1: to sell them right now because I'm so excited to
- 28:28Speaker 1: be able to do that, because I can do that now,
- 28:31Speaker 1: Whereas before it was you know, you you listen and
- 28:36Speaker 1: you don't speak until spoken to, or you're too scared
- 28:41Speaker 1: to speak. And now it's that excitement of oh, I
- 28:44Speaker 1: can tell them. I can tell them because I feel
- 28:46Speaker 1: confident enough or feel good enough about sharing those words.
- 28:50Speaker 1: So I just wanted to hit on that because I
- 28:52Speaker 1: thought that was an interesting validation of that.
- 28:58Speaker 2: It's awesome and I like it. I like that too.
- 29:03Speaker 2: And when we're in the now, we are in the flow,
- 29:06Speaker 2: and so there's no you're not going to forget anything nothing.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Everything that needs to be said or was supposed to
- 29:12Speaker 2: be said will be said, not according to our agenda.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Right And it's if you you know, we could have
- 29:21Speaker 1: a conversation and start out and go in so many
- 29:24Speaker 1: different directions with it and then still come back and
- 29:27Speaker 1: end up on the topic we started with, but we're
- 29:31Speaker 1: just taken different paths of conversation to bring in other
- 29:34Speaker 1: information and then circle back around. I think that's just
- 29:41Speaker 1: one of the things as women that we're good at.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Just in general. We do that all the time. And
- 29:47Speaker 1: I've noticed that in different at work, in different circles,
- 29:51Speaker 1: Like you just talk and the conversations goes in so
- 29:55Speaker 1: many directions, and then eventually it circles back around to
- 29:58Speaker 1: where it was, where it began, and and they're just
- 30:01Speaker 1: you just feel like, Okay, I got it.
- 30:06Speaker 2: That's all. I clean my house. It's so true because
- 30:11Speaker 2: I'll start doing what it's the same thing. It's like
- 30:12Speaker 2: I have a converse. Maybe I'm having a conversation at
- 30:14Speaker 2: the sink, and then next thing you know, I'm having
- 30:16Speaker 2: a conversation with some dust, and then next thing you know,
- 30:17Speaker 2: I'm having a conversation somewhere else, and the next thing
- 30:19Speaker 2: you know, I go back to the sink and I'm like, oh,
- 30:21Speaker 2: I need gott to finish this part. Because it's like
- 30:23Speaker 2: it's that's it's it just happens that way. For me.
- 30:25Speaker 2: That's just always been nice, a natural flow for me.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Instead of being so rigid and having it to be
- 30:31Speaker 2: that I have to get this done right here right now,
- 30:34Speaker 2: I just I don't operate that way, I don't operate
- 30:37Speaker 2: with the script. Yeah, awesome.
- 30:42Speaker 1: It's nice to not be in the script anymore, not
- 30:44Speaker 1: be in the box anymore, to be able to have
- 30:48Speaker 1: more freedom in the way that we think because we've
- 30:50Speaker 1: changed our belief system, and that does it comes. It's
- 30:57Speaker 1: so much in awareness and the away awareness is in
- 31:00Speaker 1: the now. You just can't get away from it once
- 31:03Speaker 1: you step on that journey and realize, oh, right now
- 31:07Speaker 1: is what matters. This conversation is what matters, or driving
- 31:12Speaker 1: my vehicle right now is what matters right just now.
- 31:17Speaker 1: So yeah, I would highly recommend the book The Power
- 31:19Speaker 1: of Now by Eckhart Tollis.
- 31:21Speaker 2: It's very beneficial and learning to do that. Would I confer.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Concur I love that word. All right, do you have
- 31:30Speaker 1: any final words for our friends?
- 31:34Speaker 2: Take time for yourself, get to know yourself in the now.
