- 0:24Do you want to become enlightened?
- 0:26And self-realized, the bhagavad-gita is one of the most
- 0:30famous pieces of Hindu literature, but contrary to
- 0:34popular beliefs is actually more of a spiritual texts rather than
- 0:38religious. It's a spiritual guide with
- 0:40Timeless, wisdom on how to live your life and it's a must read
- 0:44for every spiritual Seeker. Today, I'll go through what the
- 0:48bhagavad-gita is about. And three key spiritual lessons
- 0:52that I took away. So if you have read the book and
- 0:55you are confused, what the lessons are or if you've never
- 0:59read it. Just want to get straight to the
- 1:01good stuff then in this episode is for you.
- 1:04I'm Julia and I helped spiritual Seekers like you step into your
- 1:07purpose and power so make sure to subscribe.
- 1:10It was a while ago that I read this book but luckily, today's
- 1:14sponsor short form has a book summary for us with some key
- 1:18spiritual lessons, which will get into soon, the ghee tail.
- 1:21Winds up dramatically with Prince, are you not collapsing
- 1:25in the brink of war that he doesn't want to fight?
- 1:28He has lost his way on the The field of life and turns to his
- 1:31spiritual guide, streak Krishna the Lord himself Krishna replies
- 1:36with instructions, on living and dying, loving and working, and
- 1:39the nature of the soul. And although the battlefield is
- 1:42a perfect backdrop, the Gita subject is the war within the
- 1:46struggle for self Mastery. That every human has to fight
- 1:50lesson. Number one that I got from the
- 1:52bhagavad-gita. Is that anything temporary?
- 1:55Should not be considered real. This includes fiscal things like
- 1:59possession. It's thoughts, feelings and
- 2:02Sensations Krishna calls the sense objects.
- 2:06Now, you might be thinking, wait, Julie.
- 2:08Are you saying objects? Feelings?
- 2:10Thoughts, Sensations. These are all not real, then
- 2:14what is actually left? That isn't real, what's real?
- 2:16And what's left? And Never Dies is your soul or
- 2:20purusa. You've had lots of Life times
- 2:23and each time, your body will look different, your
- 2:27circumstances will be different. Your thoughts and feelings will
- 2:29be different. But what stays the same is your
- 2:32soul. And this reminds me of a quote
- 2:34from another amazing book called living meditation.
- 2:38And here it says, we work so hard to obtain perishable
- 2:41things. Would we really invest
- 2:44everything we have in a business, they renew was doomed
- 2:47to fail. So the end of your life, it
- 2:49doesn't matter how many physical objects.
- 2:52You have acquired, the size of your house.
- 2:54How much money you have? It's a business that we know
- 2:57it's going to fail and this is why Our spiritual progress
- 3:01should be your priority because you actually take that with you
- 3:04when you die and krishna's has this.
- 3:06Another real thing. And that is God, the Divine and
- 3:11you are part of this. You are part of a Divine, you
- 3:14are a god, spark of, Son, of God, whatever you want to call
- 3:17yourself. So you are Divine.
- 3:20So this means that God is not something outside of you.
- 3:24It's within. And when we meditate and we draw
- 3:26our attention up to the third eye.
- 3:29That is where we Get into contact with our Divine Essence.
- 3:32Lesson number two is that you should selflessly.
- 3:34Fulfill your Dharma Dharma is doing what's right?
- 3:38And following your purpose. Now if you don't know what your
- 3:41purpose is, I have a free guide link in the description on how
- 3:45to find your purpose in 5, simple steps.
- 3:47Now I don't think this means that you shouldn't make money
- 3:50doing what you love doing your purpose because otherwise it
- 3:53would mean you would have to still keep a draining purpose,
- 3:57less 9 to 5 job on the side. Rather, what it means is that
- 4:00You should push forward with your, your soul Mission with
- 4:02your purpose, regardless of the outcome.
- 4:05So if you are a YouTuber like me, it means that you share your
- 4:09videos. Even if they get zero views, you
- 4:11just keep moving forward. You leave the results in God's
- 4:16hands. Let's the number three is escape
- 4:19from karma. Karma is was binds you to the
- 4:22cycle of life and death. So once you break free from
- 4:26Karma, it means you can decide if you want to come back to
- 4:29earth. United Source, go to other
- 4:32planets, you become a sovereign free Soul.
- 4:34So what does karma actually mean?
- 4:38It means that what you doing this lifetime, affect your
- 4:41upcoming lifetimes and every action you do whether good or
- 4:45bad gets added to your karma. So if you did something bad,
- 4:48let's say you you stole something from someone, then it
- 4:51can mean that in the next lifetime someone will steal
- 4:53something from you and with Good Karma, it's the opposite.
- 4:56So let's say you helped someone or not.
- 4:59Money. That means in the next lifetime
- 5:02you might earn a lot of money yourself, or you will be
- 5:05rewarded in another way. It doesn't have to be in the
- 5:08same way. So how do you skip Karma?
- 5:11If you collect it, whether you've done something good or
- 5:13bad. Well by selflessly, doing your
- 5:16Dharma like we talked about in the last spiritual lesson, you
- 5:21don't add to your karma. So what I do at the end of every
- 5:25day to minimize karma, is I go through a checklist in my
- 5:29Journal. It was say things.
- 5:31Like did you lie to anyone today?
- 5:35Did you say something mean to anyone today?
- 5:37Did you eat meat? And then I check in.
- 5:40And by the end of the month, I can see.
- 5:42Okay? This is the score I got for this
- 5:43month. Let's try to reduce the next
- 5:45month. Now, if you want to dive deeper
- 5:47into the bhagavad-gita, then I recommend you do the exercises
- 5:51in short form, and look at each chapter overview, to get a
- 5:55deeper look into what they all say, and all the spiritual
- 5:59lesson. Since short form is the home of
- 6:02super-powered book summaries and readers actually get to vote on

- 6:10but if you like me and you have a long list of books that you
- 6:13want to read, then this is a great way to get straight to the
- 6:15good stuff. I read one book summary a day as
