- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Hawkerell Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:21Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Hawkerel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: welcome back to another episode. I'll be fully honest, this
- 0:30Speaker 1: episode is definitely going to be up a day late
- 0:32Speaker 1: because I did not take into account the current construction
- 0:37Speaker 1: that's going on across from my house right now, which
- 0:40Speaker 1: is going.
- 0:40Speaker 2: To cause a lot of noise issues for the podcast.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So I literally was like, there's no way that I'll
- 0:46Speaker 1: be able to record this today because there were so
- 0:48Speaker 1: much background noise. They're actually drilling, like in the dirt
- 0:53Speaker 1: across this field that's across from my house right now,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and I'm like, the way this would bother me so much.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Recording and also probably hurt your ears on top of that.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So I did have to, unfortunately take that into account,
- 1:06Speaker 1: and I did not think of that yesterday when thinking
- 1:10Speaker 1: of recording. So anyways, I apologize if this episode's up
- 1:13Speaker 1: a day late, but better to have an episode up
- 1:16Speaker 1: than no episode up at all.
- 1:18Speaker 2: As you guys, know, I have been.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Really just kind of going through it these this Honestly,
- 1:24Speaker 1: this past year, it's just.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Been kind of a crazy year.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I feel like it's been very busy but also very interesting.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That's like the best way to put it.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And I kind of wanted to talk about it in
- 1:33Speaker 1: today's episode of kind of Navigating Highs and Lows in
- 1:37Speaker 1: Life because I feel like this has definitely been like
- 1:41Speaker 1: more of a challenging year.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I feel like than you know, the past.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, before I even started my
- 1:46Speaker 1: influencing career, of course I had years where it was
- 1:48Speaker 1: like not the greatest, but I feel like I haven't
- 1:50Speaker 1: ever really shared too much of my personal life, and
- 1:53Speaker 1: I feel like this is the first year I've ever
- 1:56Speaker 1: kind of like really opened up about like what's going
- 1:58Speaker 1: on in my life, because I feel like I've always
- 2:01Speaker 1: been that influencer that just has always wanted to share
- 2:03Speaker 1: the highs and the positive things that are happening in
- 2:06Speaker 1: my life, which is always great to share.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I think it's great inspiration.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I think it's really exciting, and like obviously wanting to
- 2:13Speaker 1: document those experiences is always fun. I think everybody really
- 2:16Speaker 1: just sees their social media as a highlight reel, like
- 2:19Speaker 1: it really is, like you want to document moments of excitement.
- 2:23Speaker 1: You want to show Okay, I'm going on a fun trip, Okay,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I got engaged, Okay, I bought a new house. Like
- 2:28Speaker 1: people love to show the highs, but I feel like
- 2:31Speaker 1: not enough people share the realness of the lows and
- 2:35Speaker 1: like what they're currently going through. And that was something
- 2:37Speaker 1: that I feel like I never really showed throughout my
- 2:40Speaker 1: influencing journey of posting.
- 2:41Speaker 2: My life online for the past five years.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And I finally feel like I was open to sharing
- 2:47Speaker 1: what's going on in my life, and you know what,
- 2:49Speaker 1: it's really made me feel more connected with you guys
- 2:53Speaker 1: in the best way possible. I feel like I've always
- 2:54Speaker 1: really been open here on the podcast. I think a
- 2:57Speaker 1: lot of you guys have known that from the beginning
- 2:59Speaker 1: that I've always been very truthful and honest from day
- 3:02Speaker 1: one on here. But I feel like through my TikTok,
- 3:05Speaker 1: through my Instagram, through my YouTube, I don't really share
- 3:08Speaker 1: the lows that I'm currently going through, and I felt
- 3:10Speaker 1: like I wanted to share more of that and show
- 3:13Speaker 1: some realness of like what's been going on in my life.
- 3:16Speaker 1: But I kind of just wanted to talk to you
- 3:17Speaker 1: guys about how I'm navigating this because there has been
- 3:20Speaker 1: a lot of highs and lows this year. There's a
- 3:23Speaker 1: lot of exciting things, but a lot of things that
- 3:25Speaker 1: are like happening in my personal life that's obviously causing
- 3:28Speaker 1: some stress and anxiety and you know, probably not the
- 3:31Speaker 1: greatest for my mental health either. Of like things that
- 3:33Speaker 1: are going on with my family. Firstly, I've mentioned it before,
- 3:37Speaker 1: but my dad is getting hurt surgery. He's getting triple
- 3:39Speaker 1: bypass surgery. He might actually be getting quadruple bypass surgery,
- 3:43Speaker 1: which is crazy. So it's definitely just been like hard
- 3:48Speaker 1: on my family because it's very scary to know that
- 3:50Speaker 1: your dad is at risk of a heart attack and
- 3:52Speaker 1: we are basically in the waiting period where he's just
- 3:55Speaker 1: basically on hold for a surgery, and if someone becomes
- 3:59Speaker 1: a bigger priority, they obviously get the surgery done first,
- 4:02Speaker 1: which honestly I totally understand.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And because we are in Canada.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Our health is covered, so we obviously pay into our
- 4:11Speaker 1: health insurance, so we don't get to basically schedule a surgery.
- 4:15Speaker 1: It's basically like whenever we can get you in we
- 4:18Speaker 1: can get you in. So I think it might be
- 4:20Speaker 1: a little different in the States potentially or somewhere else
- 4:22Speaker 1: in the world, but in Canada, it basically works that
- 4:24Speaker 1: you're on a list and whenever they can get you
- 4:27Speaker 1: on the list.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Is basically when you can get your surgery done.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So to be honest, he was actually supposed to get
- 4:32Speaker 1: a surgery today, but it got postponed for another like
- 4:36Speaker 1: four to six weeks, which we weren't exactly happy about,
- 4:39Speaker 1: just because I think we were all mentally preparing, like
- 4:42Speaker 1: I canceled my trip based off my dad's surgery, Like
- 4:44Speaker 1: we basically planned our entire plans around like this surgery date,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and then they say, yeah, just kidding, it's not happening.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So it was kind of like difficult to hear that
- 4:54Speaker 1: because I think my dad's also in the position of like, hey,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I just want to get this surgery over with. I
- 4:58Speaker 1: think he's very much in the mindset of wanting to
- 5:00Speaker 1: get the surgery done, move on, know that he's healthy, right,
- 5:03Speaker 1: I think anybody would have that mindset of just knowing
- 5:06Speaker 1: that they need to get their heart done.
- 5:08Speaker 2: So yeah, it was kind of like upsetting news.
- 5:11Speaker 1: But all we can do is just pray and hope
- 5:13Speaker 1: that he gets his surgery date soon and he can
- 5:17Speaker 1: get in, have a great surgery, be healthy after. Like
- 5:20Speaker 1: that's all we can pray for at this point. But
- 5:22Speaker 1: you know, obviously that's been going on. And then I
- 5:24Speaker 1: actually just recently lost my family dog. This was very hard,
- 5:28Speaker 1: to be honest, because I picked this dog out myself.
- 5:32Speaker 2: We've had her for thirteen years.
- 5:34Speaker 1: She was actually from the beginning of Zach and I's relationship.
- 5:37Speaker 1: We picked her up, and then she's been with us
- 5:39Speaker 1: obviously for the entirety of a relationship and the entirety
- 5:42Speaker 1: of my family. But if you have a dog, or
- 5:44Speaker 1: if you have a cat, or if you have any
- 5:46Speaker 1: kind of pet, I'm sure you realize that the attachment
- 5:50Speaker 1: that you build with these animals is quite literally crazy.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Like I personally feel like a dog is a family member,
- 5:58Speaker 2: like that to me is an immediate family man.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You see them when you get home, you see them
- 6:02Speaker 1: before you go to bed, you wake up to them
- 6:04Speaker 1: when you see them in.
- 6:05Speaker 2: The morning, like you see them every freaking day.
- 6:09Speaker 1: And I have actually lost another dog before this one,
- 6:13Speaker 1: my childhood dog that I got when I was seven.
- 6:16Speaker 1: He passed away when I was I think sixteen or
- 6:20Speaker 1: eighteen around there, and then Mocha, which is now somewhat
- 6:24Speaker 1: of a childhood dog. I got her when I was
- 6:26Speaker 1: sixteen and now I'm thirty. So it was very very
- 6:31Speaker 1: hard on the family to lose her, Like, oh, I
- 6:35Speaker 1: was an emotional reck I'm not gonna lie. I fully
- 6:37Speaker 1: had a few breakdowns these past few days of just
- 6:40Speaker 1: like knowing that she's gone is really really sad, and
- 6:44Speaker 1: I don't know, I feel like a pet is a
- 6:46Speaker 1: family member in my opinion, I think they play such
- 6:49Speaker 1: an important role in your life. I think it's okay
- 6:51Speaker 1: to feel the grief and to feel a loss when
- 6:54Speaker 1: you do lose a pet, because I think they just
- 6:56Speaker 1: mean so much to you that it's really really hard
- 7:00Speaker 1: to let go and know that like a part of
- 7:02Speaker 1: your life that you had with them is now you know,
- 7:05Speaker 1: unfortunately gone, but the memories I'll always remember, and I
- 7:09Speaker 1: will always remember her as such an amazing dog, and
- 7:13Speaker 1: I'll never forget her. So anyways, there's just been so
- 7:16Speaker 1: much going on right so it's like there's that going on,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and then oh, let's talk about things that are exciting
- 7:21Speaker 1: in my life. It's like I'm moving into a new house.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I've bought in a new house, Like we're moving in
- 7:25Speaker 1: three weeks, you know, like it's all exciting, but then
- 7:28Speaker 1: it's like, oh, this is also happening, by the way,
- 7:31Speaker 1: So it's like it's hard to be excited of like
- 7:33Speaker 1: exciting news that is happening, but also be really strong
- 7:36Speaker 1: of like understanding what's also happening in the background. And
- 7:40Speaker 1: that's I think that's why I want it to be
- 7:41Speaker 1: a little bit more open about what's going on, because
- 7:43Speaker 1: of course, like, yes, there's highs and there's excitement, but
- 7:46Speaker 1: there's also like things that are happening that you know,
- 7:50Speaker 1: are reminding myself that you know, we're currently going through something,
- 7:55Speaker 1: but it's like we have to navigate this situation by
- 7:59Speaker 1: reminding yourself that it's like this is just a season,
- 8:03Speaker 1: like this is just temporary, and that unfortunately, like what
- 8:06Speaker 1: we're currently going through can be difficult, but it's important
- 8:08Speaker 1: to change your mindset and still be positive.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Of going into these exciting things while still trying.
- 8:13Speaker 1: To you know, be strong and still be excited about
- 8:16Speaker 1: those exciting moments. So I kind of just wanted to
- 8:19Speaker 1: share things about the highs and lows and also like
- 8:23Speaker 1: navigating change because obviously we are moving out literally in
- 8:28Speaker 1: three and a half weeks, I think, and then I
- 8:30Speaker 1: live with my parents for a week until we officially
- 8:32Speaker 1: move into our new.
- 8:33Speaker 2: House, and not gonna lie.
- 8:35Speaker 1: The anxiety is starting to peak about change because I
- 8:39Speaker 1: think everybody's obviously excited about change and excited about, you know,
- 8:44Speaker 1: entering a new chapter in their life. But I also
- 8:47Speaker 1: think there's like something to lose a little bit and
- 8:51Speaker 1: like grieve, Like thinking about leaving this house, it feels
- 8:54Speaker 1: really weird, to be honest, because I feel like we've
- 8:56Speaker 1: spent the past four years here and have made such
- 8:58Speaker 1: incredible memories that it like feels like I'm like leaving
- 9:02Speaker 1: that part of my life and knowing that like we
- 9:05Speaker 1: don't own this house anymore is just like so weird
- 9:08Speaker 1: to me, I don't know, And like going into a
- 9:10Speaker 1: new house, it's gonna feel so weird, right It's like
- 9:12Speaker 1: I feel like I'm gonna have to build a whole
- 9:14Speaker 1: new routine for myself. While that sounds exciting of like, oh,
- 9:17Speaker 1: a new routine, like you know, a new space to
- 9:20Speaker 1: make a coffee, finding a cute little spot to do reading,
- 9:23Speaker 1: and like, you know what I mean, it sounds exciting,
- 9:25Speaker 1: but it also kind of sounds scary because it's like, oh,
- 9:29Speaker 1: what do you mean, I'm not gonna be able to
- 9:30Speaker 1: go outside of my backyard and just sit on the
- 9:32Speaker 1: patio and you know, drink my morning coffee and like
- 9:36Speaker 1: read my book or get some work done outside because
- 9:39Speaker 1: I won't have a backyard in the new house because
- 9:41Speaker 1: it's currently under construction and we're in a new development.
- 9:44Speaker 1: So it's just not gonna be, you know, part of
- 9:46Speaker 1: our life in the beginning. But I don't know, it's
- 9:49Speaker 1: just kind of like adjustments, right, Like you're making these
- 9:52Speaker 1: adjustments and it's all different. So I'm trying to find
- 9:56Speaker 1: ways to like not think too much of that, like
- 9:59Speaker 1: not overthink. I just realize that it's like, Okay, we
- 10:01Speaker 1: could still create exciting moments in the new house by
- 10:04Speaker 1: adapting to different things with your routine. So I just
- 10:07Speaker 1: kind of wanted to share some things of like what
- 10:09Speaker 1: I feel like I'm currently thinking about and like how
- 10:11Speaker 1: I'm trying to like reframe my mindset while going through
- 10:15Speaker 1: this like going through the highs and lows, going through change,
- 10:18Speaker 1: Like how am I shifting my mindset through this chapter
- 10:22Speaker 1: in my life?
- 10:22Speaker 2: I think one of them.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Is to realize that you can have two emotions at
- 10:27Speaker 1: the same time, meaning that like I have learned that
- 10:30Speaker 1: I can feel sad while also feeling grateful, And I
- 10:35Speaker 1: think this year has really taught me that of just
- 10:38Speaker 1: like learning that it's okay to like go through difficult
- 10:41Speaker 1: times but also get really excited about excitement times of
- 10:45Speaker 1: moving into a new house, starting a new chapter with
- 10:47Speaker 1: my husband, Like it's okay to feel sad about my
- 10:50Speaker 1: dad and losing my pet, but also feel.
- 10:53Speaker 2: So grateful and excited for this new chapter that I'm
- 10:55Speaker 2: about to enter with my husband. I feel like sometimes.
- 10:58Speaker 1: People might feel guilty of like wanting to experience joy
- 11:01Speaker 1: when there's something difficult that's happening in the background. But
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to like refrain my mindset of like yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 1: but like you don't want to look back at this
- 11:09Speaker 1: experience like ten years from now and be like, oh,
- 11:11Speaker 1: like I decided to not be excited about moving into
- 11:14Speaker 1: my new house because I decided to let my mental
- 11:16Speaker 1: health like affect me and like bring me down and not.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Think of the excitement of going into the new house.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Like I'm trying to reframe my mindset of like this
- 11:24Speaker 1: is a chapter that you're going to remember forever of
- 11:27Speaker 1: moving into this new house that you worked so hard towards.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You and your husband put so much work and effort
- 11:33Speaker 1: towards this home and to even afford this home. Right,
- 11:37Speaker 1: So it's like, don't lose that excitement and joy all
- 11:41Speaker 1: because like there is things going around in the background, right,
- 11:44Speaker 1: Like I can still grieve those things, but I can
- 11:47Speaker 1: also still be excited about what's to come. So I
- 11:50Speaker 1: think it's important to understand that you can have two
- 11:52Speaker 1: emotions at the same time and that allow yourself to
- 11:55Speaker 1: feel that sadness when there's a time for it, but
- 11:58Speaker 1: also to make sure that you can still be excited
- 12:01Speaker 1: about this new chapter ahead. So I'm just trying to
- 12:04Speaker 1: like refrain my mindset of understanding that that you can
- 12:07Speaker 1: be sad and excited at the same.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Time, and that's okay.
- 12:11Speaker 1: This is probably the biggest one that I think I've
- 12:12Speaker 1: learned this year, specifically because I think for the longest time,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I thought holding it together by holding my emotions and
- 12:19Speaker 1: not really sharing too much online was considered strong, Whereas
- 12:24Speaker 1: I feel like now I see that much differently. I
- 12:26Speaker 1: feel like it's important.
- 12:28Speaker 2: To cry when you want to cry.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It's important to ask for help if you need help,
- 12:33Speaker 1: And I think that makes you look stronger than just
- 12:37Speaker 1: ignoring those feelings and ignoring it by just like trying
- 12:40Speaker 1: to keep it together. I think showing up regardless every day,
- 12:44Speaker 1: whether you're giving it one hundred percent or not, is
- 12:47Speaker 1: something to be proud of. As I said, I do
- 12:49Speaker 1: think putting my life on social media is very difficult
- 12:54Speaker 1: to obviously share what's going on in your life all
- 12:56Speaker 1: the time, Like there are moments where it's like you
- 12:58Speaker 1: don't really want to show yourself on camera right now,
- 13:00Speaker 1: like I am going through a hard day, Like I
- 13:02Speaker 1: don't want to have to record myself when I'm going
- 13:04Speaker 1: through this today.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Like that is very normal and that is very okay.
- 13:07Speaker 1: But I think as I've gotten older, I've realized how
- 13:10Speaker 1: important it is to share the hard parts because that's
- 13:14Speaker 1: where the reality is, right, it's not always sunshine and
- 13:16Speaker 1: rainbow is like life is about dealing with challenges and
- 13:20Speaker 1: finding strength to still show up and realize how grateful
- 13:22Speaker 1: life really is. Because it's important to try and see
- 13:26Speaker 1: the positives in your life and stay positive throughout the
- 13:28Speaker 1: typicult times. And that's why I really love to talk
- 13:31Speaker 1: about this type of stuff on the podcast because no
- 13:34Speaker 1: matter what I'm currently going through, I always want to
- 13:37Speaker 1: try and find ways to still be positive in this situation.
- 13:40Speaker 1: One thing that makes me feel so good is going
- 13:42Speaker 1: through this whole situation with my dad. I had like
- 13:46Speaker 1: literally hundreds of messages I'm not even overexaggerating about a
- 13:49Speaker 1: lot of you guys just telling me how either your
- 13:52Speaker 1: dad or your grandpa or your grandma went through triple
- 13:56Speaker 1: bypass surgery. And you guys were just sharing all these
- 13:58Speaker 1: positive stories and how they're doing amazing now.
- 14:01Speaker 2: And someone was like, my grandma had, you know, bypass
- 14:04Speaker 2: surgery at sixty, she's now ninety six.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Like just giving me all these positive stories and like
- 14:09Speaker 1: having that positivity just like brought into my mindset made
- 14:13Speaker 1: me feel so much better, and it totally shifted my mindset.
- 14:17Speaker 2: This surgery is gonna make my dad feel ten times better.
- 14:19Speaker 1: He's gonna be ten times healthier, he's gonna come out
- 14:21Speaker 1: of this, he's gonna live ten times longer. Like I'm
- 14:23Speaker 1: totally reframing my mindset by like hearing these positive stories
- 14:27Speaker 1: and hearing these people tell me all these things and
- 14:29Speaker 1: success stories. It makes the harder time, feel a little
- 14:32Speaker 1: bit less hard by hearing the positive and successful stories.
- 14:36Speaker 1: So again, it's really about a mindset of like shifting
- 14:40Speaker 1: it and trying to find the positive aspects in it.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I know it's really really hard, especially when you're going
- 14:45Speaker 1: through tough times. But again, this is why I wanted
- 14:48Speaker 1: to talk about this, because I think there's there's ways
- 14:51Speaker 1: to really reshift your mindset when you're going through this
- 14:54Speaker 1: high and low season in your life that might be
- 14:57Speaker 1: difficult to handle.
- 14:58Speaker 2: This next one is.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Don't let one season define your whole year. This one
- 15:04Speaker 1: is so fricking important. And the reason why I want
- 15:07Speaker 1: to say that is because I recently had a comment
- 15:10Speaker 1: on a video where I was crying because I posted
- 15:13Speaker 1: it to show that it's like not everything as sunshine
- 15:15Speaker 1: and rainbows here, Like, yeah, I'm kind of going through
- 15:18Speaker 1: it right now, but I'm still being strong and you know,
- 15:20Speaker 1: I'm still trying to show up here and you know,
- 15:23Speaker 1: post on my platform and still share the funny content
- 15:25Speaker 1: that I typically share and exciting content, but also, hey,
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'm going through some you know, sad times, and like
- 15:32Speaker 1: it's okay to feel sad. It's okay to show that
- 15:34Speaker 1: you're going through an emotional time in your life right now,
- 15:37Speaker 1: and that's okay, right, Like, I really wanted to show
- 15:39Speaker 1: that it wasn't about Hey, look i'm crying, give me
- 15:41Speaker 1: sympathy because I'm sad. It wasn't about that. It was
- 15:43Speaker 1: about to show that it's like, this is the real,
- 15:46Speaker 1: honest truth, Like there is excitement in my life, but there's.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Also been some hard times.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And someone decided to comment, throw that vision board away,
- 15:55Speaker 1: it's not worth it for the rest of the year,
- 15:58Speaker 1: And that comment really stuck with me because the way
- 16:00Speaker 1: I read it was like, no, it's not thrown away,
- 16:04Speaker 1: because even if you make one goal happen from your
- 16:08Speaker 1: vision goal, if you just achieved one thing from that
- 16:11Speaker 1: vision board, you should still be pretty dang proud of yourself.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I think there's a positive in every single aspect. And yeah, sure,
- 16:18Speaker 1: have I achieved everything off my vision board this year? No?
- 16:22Speaker 2: Has there been a few things that.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I've achieved, Yes, But then that's what keeps you going,
- 16:26Speaker 1: That's what keeps you more motivated, is just being able
- 16:28Speaker 1: to achieve that one thing. You're like, Okay, I want
- 16:30Speaker 1: to go on to the next, like I want to
- 16:31Speaker 1: achieve more things for myself, how can I do it?
- 16:34Speaker 2: What are the steps that I need to take in
- 16:35Speaker 2: order to achieve that for myself?
- 16:37Speaker 1: So it really was like sad to be like, oh, yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 1: you threw it out the way, like your year's done.
- 16:42Speaker 1: It's like, well, no, I'm not saying twenty twenty six
- 16:44Speaker 1: is done. I'm not saying that twenty twenty six is
- 16:47Speaker 1: the worst year yet. I am not saying that. I
- 16:49Speaker 1: am saying that I'm going through a season and that's it.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Who's to say that a month or two from now
- 16:54Speaker 1: it's going to be the best year ever. Like, it's
- 16:57Speaker 1: not about that. It's just about seeing the highs in
- 17:01Speaker 1: that year and being like, hey, I'm really proud of
- 17:03Speaker 1: myself for doing these things even though I went through
- 17:06Speaker 1: these hard times, Like you can always see excitement and
- 17:09Speaker 1: joy and positivities out of everything in your life, because again,
- 17:14Speaker 1: life is not supposed to be all sunshine and rainbows,
- 17:17Speaker 1: Like life is supposed to throw curveballs at us that
- 17:19Speaker 1: it's supposed to, you know, share challenges because we're supposed
- 17:23Speaker 1: to find the strength to be able to get through
- 17:26Speaker 1: those challenges.
- 17:26Speaker 2: We're supposed to.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Be strong, We're supposed to find ways on how do
- 17:29Speaker 1: we overcome this? How do we learn from this opportunity?
- 17:33Speaker 1: How do we get stronger? So I do think things happen,
- 17:37Speaker 1: and unfortunately it's things that it's out of our control.
- 17:40Speaker 1: But it's like, how can we move past this? How
- 17:42Speaker 1: can we still show up for ourselves? How can we
- 17:45Speaker 1: still create positivity and excitement going into the months ahead,
- 17:50Speaker 1: the days ahead.
- 17:50Speaker 2: The weeks ahead.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Right, So, I do think there's still ways to be
- 17:55Speaker 1: excited about your vision board for the year. I don't
- 17:57Speaker 1: think you're throwing out your entire year. I still twenty
- 18:00Speaker 1: twenty six is going to be a great year. I'm
- 18:03Speaker 1: not saying it's going to be the best year of
- 18:05Speaker 1: my life, but I am going to say that I
- 18:07Speaker 1: do want to continue having more highs. I don't think
- 18:10Speaker 1: my highs are done. I don't think the lows are done.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I just want to continue achieving what I can for
- 18:16Speaker 1: myself and just again keep looking at my vision board
- 18:19Speaker 1: and still finding ways to motivate myself to achieve more things. Again,
- 18:24Speaker 1: it's really about the mindset and how you see situations.
- 18:27Speaker 1: It's all about turning things into a positive and not
- 18:30Speaker 1: always seeing it as a negative. Because if you go
- 18:33Speaker 1: into this year, thinking yeah, this year's over, I'm just
- 18:36Speaker 1: gonna wait till next year. Well, why do we having
- 18:38Speaker 1: that mindset, like we're not just going to assume that, oh,
- 18:40Speaker 1: twenty twenty six is done. Let's maybe we'll start again
- 18:42Speaker 1: in twenty twenty.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Seven, like we'll start over.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Then.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I hate when people do that, Like, let's not say that.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Let's say it's July of twenty twenty six, and we're
- 18:50Speaker 1: gonna make August to December our best months.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Yet, We're gonna.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Shift our mindset and actually focus on what we want
- 18:56Speaker 1: to do for the rest of the year and how
- 18:57Speaker 1: we're going to achieve those things. Actually men writing things down, journaling,
- 19:02Speaker 1: doing the steps that you need to do in order
- 19:03Speaker 1: to achieve those things that you had on your vision boar,
- 19:05Speaker 1: like almost doing like a reevaluating for yourself of like
- 19:08Speaker 1: how can I do better for the rest of the year.
- 19:10Speaker 1: What can I do differently to become that person that
- 19:12Speaker 1: I want to become for twenty twenty six. So anyways,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I just felt like I needed to say that because
- 19:17Speaker 1: it really made me sad thinking about this person that
- 19:20Speaker 1: decides to just like throw their entire year out the
- 19:22Speaker 1: window because of a few things that have happened, But
- 19:25Speaker 1: I don't want that to be the way I was
- 19:27Speaker 1: positioning my thoughts on twenty twenty six or that video.
- 19:32Speaker 1: It was more so to share that It's like, hey,
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'm currently going through it, but that doesn't mean it
- 19:35Speaker 1: defines what my year is. I know I'm going to
- 19:37Speaker 1: keep pushing through it and find ways to still create
- 19:41Speaker 1: positivity out of it. So now let's talk about the
- 19:43Speaker 1: whole change, because obviously there's a lot of change that's
- 19:47Speaker 1: about to happen, and it's exciting, Like I'm very, very excited,
- 19:51Speaker 1: but I also think there's a lot of exhaustion that's
- 19:54Speaker 1: about to come out of this. Like moving is a
- 19:57Speaker 1: lot of freaking work, and obviously there's emotion behind this
- 20:02Speaker 1: house here.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be really hard to just like
- 20:04Speaker 2: leave it. I also have this like emotional thing with
- 20:07Speaker 2: Freddie right now.
- 20:08Speaker 1: If you guys don't know who Freddie is, Freddy's my
- 20:10Speaker 1: dog and he has lived here his whole life. And
- 20:13Speaker 1: I think it gives me a little anxiety because, like
- 20:16Speaker 1: I see how excited he gets when he comes into
- 20:18Speaker 1: the house, Like he has his little routines, you know,
- 20:21Speaker 1: he knows where to sit on the couch, like he
- 20:22Speaker 1: knows where his food dishes are. He has like little
- 20:25Speaker 1: spots when I leave the house that he likes to
- 20:27Speaker 1: lay to wait till I get home. So for me,
- 20:29Speaker 1: that makes me really sad because I think about the
- 20:31Speaker 1: routine for myself, but I also think that bout the
- 20:33Speaker 1: routine for him, where it's like he's gonna have to
- 20:36Speaker 1: adjust in this new house and he's not gonna know for.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Like the first few weeks that it's like, no, this
- 20:41Speaker 2: is our new house.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Like he's gonna be like, oh, okay, we're just staying
- 20:45Speaker 1: here until you know, we get back home, Like he
- 20:48Speaker 1: doesn't realize that it's like no, no, no, like we're leaving,
- 20:51Speaker 1: like this is no longer your.
- 20:52Speaker 2: House, Like I don't know. That makes me sad, Like
- 20:55Speaker 2: this is how much love I have for pets.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I pretend to put my mind in them and think
- 20:59Speaker 1: like how are they going to adapt to this change?
- 21:03Speaker 1: And how are they going to adapt to this new reality?
- 21:05Speaker 1: And it makes me kind of sad. But I also
- 21:08Speaker 1: know that it's like he's eventually going to build a routine.
- 21:10Speaker 1: He's eventually going to figure it out. He's eventually going
- 21:12Speaker 1: to realize that like, this is our new home, and
- 21:15Speaker 1: that it's not about the house.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's about the people that he's with and like me
- 21:18Speaker 2: and Zach is his home right. So although it's exciting,
- 21:22Speaker 2: it's also emotional.
- 21:24Speaker 1: It's also hard to realize that, you know, routines are
- 21:27Speaker 1: going to change a little bit, obviously, environments are going
- 21:30Speaker 1: to change, new habits are probably going to be created,
- 21:33Speaker 1: and it just feels off, But it just means.
- 21:38Speaker 2: That we're adjusting, Like we're going to have to adjust
- 21:41Speaker 2: to this new life.
- 21:43Speaker 1: We're going to have to adjust to this new home
- 21:45Speaker 1: and how we're going to you know, create a new
- 21:48Speaker 1: routine for ourselves and adapt to this new change. So
- 21:51Speaker 1: although it's exciting, it is exhausting and it's demply going
- 21:55Speaker 1: to feel different, but I know we're going to adjust
- 21:57Speaker 1: to it and things will feel like home. And I've
- 22:00Speaker 1: also heard people talk about like lighting candles that bring
- 22:03Speaker 1: them a sense of home. So it's like, if there's
- 22:06Speaker 1: a candle specifically that I light a lot in this house,
- 22:08Speaker 1: like can I do it at the next house where
- 22:10Speaker 1: I'm lighting the candle just to kind of bring that
- 22:13Speaker 1: smell back into the house, to bring some type of comfort,
- 22:16Speaker 1: Like I hear some tips around there where people are like, yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 1: like to make the space feel more like home, spray
- 22:22Speaker 1: that room spray that you typically do, or light that
- 22:25Speaker 1: candle that you typically have, or put out that flower
- 22:28Speaker 1: vase that you love so much in the same spot
- 22:30Speaker 1: in your kitchen in your new kitchen.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Like, I definitely plan.
- 22:33Speaker 1: On taking those habits and like adjusting it into the
- 22:36Speaker 1: new house again to kind of bring some comfort of
- 22:40Speaker 1: that homey feeling of what we have here. So that
- 22:42Speaker 1: kind of goes into the next one, which is creating
- 22:44Speaker 1: little routines that make life feel familiar. So doing little
- 22:48Speaker 1: things that make me feel like what I would do
- 22:51Speaker 1: back home. So it's like making my morning coffee in
- 22:54Speaker 1: my new morning coffee spot and doing my daily walk,
- 22:57Speaker 1: like finding a new walking path for me to do
- 23:00Speaker 1: my walks every single day, you know, is it working
- 23:03Speaker 1: out every single morning?
- 23:04Speaker 2: Okay, maybe I find a spot in my basement to
- 23:07Speaker 2: do my.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Favorite worker that I typically do from home, you know, journaling,
- 23:11Speaker 1: whatever the case may be. Like just kind of finding
- 23:13Speaker 1: small routines that I can do in the new house
- 23:16Speaker 1: that are similar to what I do here and bring
- 23:20Speaker 1: some like comfort in the.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Space by like doing those things, if that makes sense. Like,
- 23:24Speaker 2: I think making coffee is a big one.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I think people love that feeling of like making your
- 23:29Speaker 1: coffee at home and like it tasting a specific way
- 23:32Speaker 1: and like there's some type of comfort I feel like
- 23:34Speaker 1: just making a coffee, And so like that's something that
- 23:37Speaker 1: I think is like going to be easier to like
- 23:40Speaker 1: adjust to in the new house, because like I'm kind
- 23:43Speaker 1: of bringing the same routine just in a different space,
- 23:45Speaker 1: if that makes sense. So anyways, that's today's episode. I
- 23:48Speaker 1: kind of really wanted to just kind of talk about
- 23:51Speaker 1: what I'm currently going through and how if you're going
- 23:54Speaker 1: through this type of season in your life where you're
- 23:56Speaker 1: having a difficult time or you're going through you know,
- 24:00Speaker 1: highs in your life and you don't know how to
- 24:02Speaker 1: adapt with you know, maybe going through something difficult at
- 24:05Speaker 1: the same time, know that you're not alone and that
- 24:08Speaker 1: it's okay to have these wins and be excited about
- 24:12Speaker 1: these you know, huge changes that are happening in your life.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But it's also okay to feel that sadness that you're
- 24:18Speaker 1: feeling through Uh, you know, there's difficult challenge that you
- 24:20Speaker 1: might be going through, and that it's important to just
- 24:23Speaker 1: keep moving forward and you know, celebrate the good, honor
- 24:27Speaker 1: the hard, like everything's just gonna work out.
- 24:30Speaker 2: It's hard to really shift your mindset.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I totally feel you, like I am definitely you know,
- 24:35Speaker 1: have had hard times of changing my mindset of trying
- 24:38Speaker 1: to continue to stay positive. But it's one step at
- 24:42Speaker 1: a time and it really really does go a long
- 24:45Speaker 1: way if you really just shift your mindset of trying
- 24:48Speaker 1: to find the positives in every situation. And I do
- 24:52Speaker 1: find journaling helps a lot. I think that's really been
- 24:54Speaker 1: a big one for me, is just taking out the journal,
- 24:56Speaker 1: writing things down, writing how I'm feeling in that current moment,
- 25:00Speaker 1: and really just like reminding myself how grateful I am
- 25:04Speaker 1: for this life. I think faith has also been a
- 25:06Speaker 1: huge thing of just like praying more and like leaning
- 25:09Speaker 1: into my faith a little bit has been a huge
- 25:12Speaker 1: thing that I've changed this year as well. So anyways,
- 25:15Speaker 1: I just wanted to tell you guys that you're not alone,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and if you're going through it, I feel you. This
- 25:21Speaker 1: episode is really just to help you navigate through that
- 25:23Speaker 1: difficult season and know that this doesn't define your year.
- 25:27Speaker 2: You could still have a good year.
- 25:28Speaker 1: You can still find ways to enjoy the highs and
- 25:31Speaker 1: find ways to still achieve everything that you want to
- 25:34Speaker 1: achieve a the year and just not let that reflect
- 25:37Speaker 1: your entire year. So anyways, I just wanted to end
- 25:40Speaker 1: off with that, but I'd love you guys all so much.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Thank you guys for taking the time to listen to
- 25:45Speaker 1: today's episode, and I apologize that this is up a
- 25:48Speaker 1: day late, but I love you guys also much. Thank
