- 0:11Speaker 1: Why pickleball?
- 0:13Speaker 2: I like it because it's challenging.
- 0:15Speaker 3: I'm approaching right at two years right now, like 20,
- 0:21Speaker 3: 21 months consistently playing pickleball. When I first learned about it,
- 0:26Speaker 3: it was like 10, 15 years ago, but people would
- 0:30Speaker 3: say that it's an elder or older person's or people's game.
- 0:36Speaker 3: But I like it because it's challenging. I play it
- 0:39Speaker 3: now a lot. People say that I'm addicted, but I
- 0:42Speaker 3: don't look at it that way. And I tell them, like,
- 0:44Speaker 3: I don't see the, I'm not addicted to it. I
- 0:46Speaker 3: see it as a challenge. And I've done that so
- 0:49Speaker 3: to the point to where I've gotten really, really good
- 0:51Speaker 3: at it, understanding the nuances of the game.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Could you become a pro pickleballer?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Any old could.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I am going to become a pro pickleball player. Mark
- 1:00Speaker 1: my word.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Everybody, you hear my statement, I say, T.O. is coming
- 1:04Speaker 3: to a pickleball court near you. And pickleball is taking
- 1:07Speaker 3: me places.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Welcome to Get to the Point with Chris Spencer and T.O.
- 1:11Speaker 1: You've heard a lot about pickleball. And please, if you
- 1:14Speaker 1: guys are watching the show or you want to tell
- 1:15Speaker 1: other people, please like, share, and subscribe. You see me? Yeah,
- 1:21Speaker 1: it's all good. As long as you want to say describe.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And describe what you like about us in the comments. Right. Right?
- 1:26Speaker 1: If you see something that he says that you don't like,
- 1:30Speaker 1: Talk to us. Which isn't very much. Which isn't very much.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And if you see stuff that I say that you
- 1:34Speaker 1: don't like. Probably a lot. Talk to us. Talk to us. Yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: let us know. Some of the stuff you probably don't
- 1:39Speaker 1: like are like his picks. My picks are on point. Woo!
- 1:42Speaker 1: Not this week, playboy. He was one and four. Oh, well.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Now I see why you played receiver and not safety. Exactly.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Or quarterback. Exactly. Because you're not good at picks. But.
- 1:55Speaker 3: The common theme is I'm good at football.
- 1:56Speaker 1: You're great at football, not football picks. Exactly.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I don't claim to be good at these things. You
- 2:02Speaker 2: know what I mean?
- 2:03Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no. You do claim to be
- 2:05Speaker 1: good at these things. No, I don't claim to be
- 2:06Speaker 1: good at these things. And some weeks you're good. Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Just this week, not so much. Right now, I'm 5-0
- 2:11Speaker 1: with my 49ers. That's what I am. Yes, you are.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I pick them every week. Every week. Every week. Let's
- 2:20Speaker 1: talk about it.
- 2:20Speaker 2: You can subscribe, like, share, and rewind if you would like.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yes. Are they your 49ers? Like, of all the teams
- 2:26Speaker 1: you've played, which one do you love the most? Like,
- 2:30Speaker 1: they said you can go back to one locker room.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You're on death row. They said you can go back
- 2:33Speaker 1: to one locker room and hang out with the guys.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I would probably say probably Dallas. Dallas? Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 3: You're talking about guys like Dallas. Really just, I hung
- 2:42Speaker 3: out with, like had a good time. Like I still
- 2:45Speaker 3: talk to probably more Dallas players than any other teams.
- 2:51Speaker 3: But if I had to go back and play one
- 2:54Speaker 3: more time, I'd go to Philly.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Really? I'd go to Philly. Because the fans? Oh yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 1: the fans love them. McNabb? Hey look, I didn't have
- 3:04Speaker 1: anything against him. That's the thing. Like when I was
- 3:06Speaker 1: on the field- What I'm just talking about in terms
- 3:08Speaker 1: of all the quarterbacks you've played with, is he in
- 3:10Speaker 1: the top? My top would probably be Ryan Fitzpatrick. Okay.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Tony Romo and I would probably say, yeah, McNabb. McNabb.
- 3:17Speaker 1: That's a good name. Bro, at the end of the day, bro,
- 3:20Speaker 1: that's just me, bro. I ball a lot. It doesn't matter.
- 3:24Speaker 1: You could have been the quarterback. You know what I mean?
- 3:26Speaker 1: You can get that thing to me. You know what
- 3:28Speaker 1: I mean? You could have been the quarterback. You get
- 3:31Speaker 1: that thing to me, hey, I'm going to do something
- 3:32Speaker 1: with it.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Let's talk about your losses. Dude, I don't have that
- 3:35Speaker 3: many losses. You picked the Cowboys over the Bucs. Didn't
- 3:39Speaker 3: they win?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Why did you? Because the Bucs were over in four.
- 3:44Speaker 1: You would have probably picked the pick. You probably would
- 3:46Speaker 1: have picked the Cowboys. Yes.
- 3:47Speaker 2: So you can't fault me for that.
- 3:51Speaker 1: That's true. You can't fault me for that pick. Everybody
- 3:53Speaker 1: picked the Cowboys. I think, I mean. The Bucs picked
- 3:56Speaker 1: the Cowboys. Yeah. They even thought they probably was going to.
- 4:02Speaker 1: What's that? Oh, you know what's so funny? You taking it?
- 4:15Speaker 1: So you're just flip-flopping, huh? Who, me? I mean, Dallas,
- 4:19Speaker 1: you want to get the other three on, but you
- 4:20Speaker 1: play for it. Well, look, they have a better record
- 4:23Speaker 1: than the Cowboys. Okay. So there you have it. So
- 4:27Speaker 1: we got to figure out some kind of accountability for
- 4:29Speaker 1: these losses you be having to shoot. That's not very many.
- 4:32Speaker 1: You picked the Eagles over the Jags.
- 4:35Speaker 3: First of all, for 59 minutes and 52 seconds.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Balling. They were balling out of control. Balling. Honestly, this
- 4:44Speaker 1: was a heartbreaker.
- 4:45Speaker 2: When you talk about heartbreaking games, this is a heartbreaker.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Because he did everything he's supposed to do.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Bro, under three minutes left. I don't know what yard
- 4:55Speaker 3: line they started on, but it was a long drive.
- 4:57Speaker 3: You move your team in.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Position to score, whether that's field goal or touchdown. He
- 5:05Speaker 1: did exactly that.
- 5:07Speaker 3: He moved his team down the field, got into field
- 5:11Speaker 3: goal range. With eight seconds left on the clock, they
- 5:15Speaker 3: kick a field goal. They're down two. They kick the
- 5:18Speaker 3: field goal. They're up 17 to 16. In my mind,
- 5:22Speaker 3: with eight seconds left on the.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Clock, Game over. Little flip. Little flip. Game is over.
- 5:30Speaker 2: But let me tell you something. The game is never over.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Until that clock hits 0-0.
- 5:36Speaker 3: We saw it in collegiate basketball this year. I mean,
- 5:40Speaker 3: we saw it in collegiate football this year with Western
- 5:42Speaker 3: Michigan and Michigan.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You know, they was awarded one second on the clock.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That's all it took.
- 5:49Speaker 3: With Michigan, clearly it shouldn't have been no seconds, and
- 5:51Speaker 3: Michigan had One second left on the clock.
- 5:54Speaker 2: They threw a hair Mary and they won that game.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Clearly they should have lost this game right here. They
- 6:00Speaker 1: kicked the ball off. It's eight seconds left on the clock.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Eagles kick it off to the Jaguars. Abdullah returns it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I don't know why.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Like I said, I think again, dumb decision. I don't
- 6:11Speaker 3: know what goes into the thought process of these coaches.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Like this should have been, this should have been really
- 6:16Speaker 3: a unanimous or an executive decision by the special team coach. Coach,
- 6:20Speaker 3: Sometimes you've got to override the head coach's decision sometimes
- 6:24Speaker 3: because as a special team coach, that's your job. You
- 6:26Speaker 3: weigh the options and the possibilities of this scenario.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Kick the ball into the end zone. You relinquish, you
- 6:38Speaker 1: take away the opportunity to run the ball back. Why
- 6:42Speaker 1: give the ball a returner the opportunity with the potential
- 6:45Speaker 1: to run the ball all the way back? He didn't
- 6:47Speaker 1: run it all the way.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Back, but he ran it enough, far enough into field
- 6:51Speaker 3: goal range with one second left on the clock.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Get the field goal unit out there.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Guy kicks a Steph Curry no-look field goal and kicks
- 7:02Speaker 3: a 57-yarder, and the Eagles lose 19-17.
- 7:06Speaker 1: That's a tough way to lose. You pick Raiders over
- 7:09Speaker 1: the Patriots. Yes, I did.
- 7:12Speaker 3: And I think anybody would have picked the Raiders over
- 7:15Speaker 3: the Patriots considering how the Patriots started out. I think
- 7:18Speaker 3: they were like 0-3 or whatever. They've won, I think,
- 7:20Speaker 3: their last two games. But, yeah, Raiders started out, what,
- 7:25Speaker 3: 3-0 or something like that. And they barely lost the
- 7:29Speaker 3: game before that.
- 7:30Speaker 1: So, yeah, I'm not mad at that. I'm not mad
- 7:32Speaker 1: at that. They'll rebound. And last one was the Bears
- 7:35Speaker 1: over the Packers. Yeah, didn't I pick the Packers? You
- 7:39Speaker 1: picked the Bears over the Packers. I did. Bears. No,
- 7:42Speaker 1: I thought I could have sworn.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Please like, share, subscribe, and rewind. Because I thought I
- 7:49Speaker 3: wanted to show some love to Jordan Love.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we were wondering why you didn't. Yeah, but you
- 7:54Speaker 1: know how I remember you didn't? What? Because... Brendan... is
- 7:59Speaker 1: a a big packers guy and you and you shit
- 8:01Speaker 1: on him i did oh damn he was hurt.
- 8:03Speaker 3: And he left the room for a while well you
- 8:05Speaker 3: know um i've i've done a number or two on
- 8:08Speaker 3: the packers so yeah you can understand why i made
- 8:11Speaker 3: that gotcha decision.
- 8:12Speaker 2: So um Damn, I know Mojo Brooks. I know he
- 8:16Speaker 2: is sad right now.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Today, he had a great week, boy. The last two
- 8:22Speaker 3: or three weeks, he's been riding high. But I didn't see,
- 8:26Speaker 3: I should have known. I didn't see no highlights, no
- 8:28Speaker 3: nothing on my social media with him yelling into the
- 8:31Speaker 3: damn camera about his damn Chicago Bears.
- 8:35Speaker 1: But yeah, my.
- 8:37Speaker 3: 49ers won over the Seahawks. I'm glad about that. I
- 8:40Speaker 3: hate in that win, A tremendous loss with Debo Samuels
- 8:48Speaker 3: with a hamstring injury. But one of my guys, I mean,
- 8:51Speaker 3: obviously we'll get to that point, who played really well,
- 8:54Speaker 3: is Mike Evans, who broken ribs, playing sparingly, but he
- 8:59Speaker 3: gave it his all. One drive, it was all Mike Evans.
- 9:04Speaker 3: They could not stop him.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Seattle had four turnovers, and San Fran was able to
- 9:09Speaker 1: score 21 points from them turnovers. Chris. You can't win
- 9:12Speaker 1: with turnovers. You say it every week. You're right.
- 9:15Speaker 3: And everybody knows it. The team knows it. The head
- 9:18Speaker 3: coach knows it. The owners know it. You can't win
- 9:21Speaker 3: this game with multiple turnovers. It's very seldom that you
- 9:26Speaker 3: have a team that has three or four turnovers and
- 9:29Speaker 3: still win.
- 9:30Speaker 1: The percentage is really, really low.
- 9:31Speaker 3: So, hey, the name of the game is– eliminate and
- 9:37Speaker 3: minimize the turnovers.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Got you. Let's talk about your boy Jamius Winston. Oh,
- 9:41Speaker 1: my boy. I don't know what you're telling him, but
- 9:44Speaker 1: he's balling. You got a little secret prayer? I call
- 9:47Speaker 1: him every week.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I tell him, I text him, I say, look, I'm
- 9:50Speaker 3: going to be your accountability voice. Like, bro, like play
- 9:55Speaker 3: like you're supposed to play. And I know like sometimes
- 9:58Speaker 3: you can get comfortable in a backup role. That's what
- 10:01Speaker 3: I think he's been over these last four, five, six years.
- 10:05Speaker 3: He's been comfortable in that backup role, and I see
- 10:08Speaker 3: him more than that. I see, like, again, I'm not
- 10:11Speaker 3: trying to be prophetic or by any means, but I
- 10:15Speaker 3: know that there's greatness in him.
- 10:17Speaker 2: He knows there's greatness inside him.
- 10:18Speaker 3: He will tell you There's greatness inside him, and he's
- 10:22Speaker 3: always grateful for his opportunities.
- 10:24Speaker 1: But I had to tell him. I had to talk
- 10:26Speaker 1: to one of his business managers. I'm like, look, I
- 10:29Speaker 1: need to talk to Jameis.
- 10:30Speaker 3: He is in an opportunity where now, like, bro, you're
- 10:33Speaker 3: playing for the New York football giants. That's like the
- 10:37Speaker 3: mecca of football. I know it's the mecca of basketball,
- 10:39Speaker 3: but you got eyes on you every week. There's a
- 10:42Speaker 3: lot of expectations for you to be in that position
- 10:45Speaker 3: as the starting quarterback for the New York football giants. Bro,
- 10:49Speaker 3: go play like you're supposed to play. Go play like
- 10:52Speaker 3: the James Winston, the Heisman Trophy James Winston that I
- 10:55Speaker 3: know he can play like.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And that's what he's been doing every week. Yeah, three touchdowns.
- 10:59Speaker 1: And I'm like, bro, focus, bro. Like, you are the starter.
- 11:01Speaker 1: You don't know when Jackson Dart is coming back.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Bro, put the pressure on them. Like, as a team, like,
- 11:07Speaker 3: you want to do, it's always that next man up mentality.
- 11:11Speaker 3: You know that you're the starting.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Guy is out.
- 11:14Speaker 3: You got to be a formidable player. reliable backup, solid backup.
- 11:19Speaker 3: They gave him a two-year extension. Bro, go earn that money.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Don't just sit back on your laws and just.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Collect a check. Go out there and play.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Look, you play this well for the next two years,
- 11:30Speaker 3: if you want to, you can go play another two
- 11:33Speaker 3: more years if that's what you want to do.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But go out on a high note. Can we talk
- 11:37Speaker 1: about that game and how it ended? You have, what,
- 11:41Speaker 1: eight seconds left? The eight seconds is a theme, right?
- 11:45Speaker 1: You should... They were in field goal range. No, there
- 11:49Speaker 1: was 18 seconds left. 18 seconds left. They're in field
- 11:52Speaker 1: goal range. They decide to run another play. Is he
- 11:54Speaker 1: trying to get closer? So whose fault is that? Coach,
- 11:58Speaker 1: offensive coordinator, or the quarterback? That's coaching quarterback.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Because number one, as a quarterback, you of all people,
- 12:03Speaker 3: you should be in tune with the game and know
- 12:05Speaker 3: the situation and circumstances.
- 12:07Speaker 2: You should, number one, know how much.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Time you need to run a play, get back to
- 12:12Speaker 3: the line of scrimmage, enough time to clock the ball.
- 12:15Speaker 3: You need to know, you should know if you have
- 12:17Speaker 3: how many timeouts you have. This is communication between head
- 12:21Speaker 3: coach and quarterback that should be known.
- 12:24Speaker 1: So that's a fail on both of those two people's part.
- 12:28Speaker 1: You want to talk about your little Cowboys?
- 12:30Speaker 2: No, there's nothing that's embarrassing. We don't need to talk
- 12:32Speaker 2: about the Cowboys.
- 12:33Speaker 1: What do we need to talk about? They lost to
- 12:36Speaker 1: the Bucs. Well, I knew that they were going to lose.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Did you? Yeah, I knew that they were going to lose.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think you said that they
- 12:42Speaker 1: were going to. We got to figure out a punishment. Listen, hey.
- 12:47Speaker 1: All this big ass crew we got. We got to
- 12:49Speaker 1: figure out a punishment for him. When he makes these
- 12:52Speaker 1: picks and there's no, you owe me a kitchen. You
- 12:55Speaker 1: owe my wife a kitchen. And you owe my son
- 12:59Speaker 1: tuition for the semester. Now you're good to go right
- 13:01Speaker 1: now because I've paid it already. Okay, good. But that kitchen. Yes, yes, yes.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I ain't got that kitchen money yet. I might need that.
- 13:10Speaker 1: As long as it's on the lower end. large scale
- 13:14Speaker 1: of kitchens. If I get an Ikea kitchen, it's cool. Absolutely. Okay, good. Absolutely.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Is Dallas in trouble? Yeah, they are definitely in trouble.
- 13:24Speaker 3: If you can't beat the Buccaneers who are 0-4, yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 3: I mean, this is one embarrassing loss after another embarrassing loss.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I already told you, man, with the players at their
- 13:36Speaker 3: receiver position, I told you there are playmakers and game changers.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Dak can only do so much When I played, bro,
- 13:45Speaker 3: everybody was on their seat.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Like, they were in their seat when the game started.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Ain't no trickling in. You know how you hear some
- 13:53Speaker 1: of your shows? Sure. Some of the guys that's just,
- 13:55Speaker 1: you know. In the beginning, sure. Right. What do y'all
- 13:59Speaker 1: call them? You warm the crowd up. Sure, they open
- 14:01Speaker 1: the show. Yeah, they open the show, and people will
- 14:03Speaker 1: start trickling in. That's why some people don't like to start. Bro,
- 14:06Speaker 1: when I played... They in their seat.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Because they know something might happen. You blink, you might
- 14:12Speaker 2: miss something.
- 14:12Speaker 1: All right, well, your picks weren't great. Why you got
- 14:15Speaker 1: to say it like that? No, I'm just saying they
- 14:17Speaker 1: weren't that good. This might be the only week that
- 14:20Speaker 1: I wasn't there. Yeah, yeah, definitely. Please share, like, subscribe,
- 14:23Speaker 1: and rewind to get to the point. GTTP pod, or
- 14:27Speaker 1: if you're on YouTube, GTTP podcast. Just rewind a little
- 14:31Speaker 1: bit and see if I'm wrong. It could be the
- 14:33Speaker 1: Mandela effect. The Mandela effect, right? That's what it is.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I'm thinking certain things and it didn't really happen. Yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Sounds like Da Vinci. Oh, that's our friend. Sec passe.
- 14:46Speaker 1: We'll talk about Da Vinci in a little bit. But
- 14:47Speaker 1: let's talk about your... My picks? Yeah, who'd you pick?
- 14:50Speaker 1: What's your popcorn power five? Yes. Get ready, everybody, for
- 14:55Speaker 1: my popcorn power five. Let me tell you something. It
- 14:58Speaker 1: was some hellified performances this week. I don't know how
- 15:00Speaker 1: you narrowed it to five, but I'm waiting to hear it. Hey, look, man.
- 15:04Speaker 3: It was some good performances. Some that were definitely probably worthy.
- 15:09Speaker 3: And I tried to not... make some of these picks
- 15:12Speaker 3: with emotions.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Okay. And really try to stick to the stats. Right.
- 15:16Speaker 1: But I do have somewhat of an emotional connection with
- 15:20Speaker 1: one of these players. Okay.
- 15:21Speaker 3: But we'll start with, you want to start with number five?
- 15:24Speaker 1: Number five.
- 15:26Speaker 3: We're going to go number five, Popcorn Power Five. We're
- 15:30Speaker 3: going to go with David Blaine.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Bailey. Okay. He better be in there. Of the New
- 15:35Speaker 1: York Jets. This guy, eight tackles, six solos, three sacks,
- 15:40Speaker 1: four tackle for losses, and one forced fumble. Now, I
- 15:44Speaker 1: know some people may say, man, that's worthy of being
- 15:48Speaker 1: like number two or one. But wait till you hear
- 15:50Speaker 1: these other fumbles. Number four, that's Quatro. Jameer Gibbs. Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 1: balled out. Balled out for your Lions.
- 15:59Speaker 3: For your Detroit Lions. Jameer Gibbs, 25 carries, 151.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Yards, two touchdowns.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Overall, 207 scrimmage yards. After that, five receptions, 56 yards.
- 16:15Speaker 1: He balled out.
- 16:16Speaker 3: The Detroit Lions, they got to start coming with it
- 16:19Speaker 3: now because they're Last two years, they've been on the.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Cusp of Super Bowl or bus type of seasons. Last
- 16:27Speaker 1: year was disappointing. The year before, they were right there
- 16:30Speaker 1: almost at the door of the Super Bowl.
- 16:32Speaker 2: So, yeah, let's go.
- 16:33Speaker 1: My guy, Jameer Gibbs. Number three. Number three. As I
- 16:36Speaker 1: told you guys, a little bit of my emotions went
- 16:39Speaker 1: into this pick, and it's well-deserving. I know what it's
- 16:44Speaker 1: like to play. This guy honestly probably shouldn't have played.
- 16:49Speaker 3: When you talk about tough guys that are still playing
- 16:51Speaker 3: the game, I know some people say a lot of
- 16:53Speaker 3: guys are soft in the league. This guy right here,
- 16:57Speaker 3: obviously not soft. Broken ribs, still playing in the game.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I saw maybe a quarter.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Of this game. This guy catching the ball over the middle,
- 17:06Speaker 1: getting hit. I saw he's.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Grimacing, definitely playing in pain. Seven receptions, 113 yards, and
- 17:14Speaker 3: a touchdown. One series was all Mike Evans. When I
- 17:18Speaker 3: tell you, all Mike Evans.
- 17:20Speaker 1: So Mike, shout out to you.
- 17:22Speaker 3: You made my number three popcorn power five. Now we're
- 17:26Speaker 3: on to number two.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Dos.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Jordan Love. This guy got busy. I think he was asked.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I think I picked these guys, but you guys said
- 17:35Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Jordan Love. Jordan Love. I thought I showed this guy
- 17:42Speaker 1: some love. This guy right here, 25 for 31, 367 yards,
- 17:44Speaker 1: two touchdowns. No interceptions. Okay. No interceptions.
- 17:53Speaker 3: When you talk about it's not how you start, it's
- 17:55Speaker 3: how you finish, obviously they didn't start very well. For
- 17:58Speaker 3: the Green Bay Packers, there's a lot of hope for
- 17:59Speaker 3: this team this season, especially with quarterback play because they're
- 18:03Speaker 3: only going to go as far as their quarterback take them.
- 18:06Speaker 3: And Jordan Love, you're doing that, man. Again, stats 25-31, 367,
- 18:10Speaker 3: two touchdowns, no picks. Man, keep on balling.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And who is number one? I didn't see this here coming.
- 18:18Speaker 1: But Drake May is balling out the last two weeks.
- 18:21Speaker 3: They've come out with two victories. Again, like I said,
- 18:24Speaker 3: I told you, quarterback play is indicative of how teams
- 18:28Speaker 3: are going to fare throughout the course of the season.
- 18:30Speaker 1: You need really good quarterback play.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Obviously, he hasn't really played very well beginning of the season.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I think now he's starting to settle in, getting comfortable
- 18:39Speaker 3: with some of the new pieces, new places, new faces,
- 18:42Speaker 3: all that good stuff. But, yeah, this guy right here, 26-37.
- 18:46Speaker 3: I'm sorry, 26 to 34, 374 pass yards, four touchdowns,
- 18:52Speaker 3: and no interceptions. This right here, you can win with
- 18:55Speaker 3: this all day. All day, every week.
- 18:59Speaker 1: And adding to that, one rushing touchdown, seven carries for
- 19:04Speaker 1: 25 yards, totaling 399 total yards of offense. That's big.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Look.
- 19:14Speaker 3: It seems like they put the Vrabel-Russini scandal behind them.
- 19:19Speaker 1: They're kind of putting that in the rearview mirror. Vrabel. Yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 3: And they're playing some really good football right now. And
- 19:25Speaker 3: I think this is something, honestly, to build on. You
- 19:28Speaker 3: have that momentum.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Let me see your cards real quick. Let me see
- 19:31Speaker 1: all your cards. Where's Jameis? Oh, you know Jameis is
- 19:38Speaker 1: in here. Weston balled out last week. He didn't make
- 19:40Speaker 1: your top five? No, he didn't make my top five.
- 19:44Speaker 1: But what he did make? Your top six. Hey, that's
- 19:48Speaker 1: not a top six. Honorable mention. Okay. Honorable mention. And
- 19:52Speaker 1: I say that because, look, they didn't win, but they
- 19:57Speaker 1: didn't lose either. Right. And what I've always said about Jamison,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I told him I've been calling him every week. I
- 20:03Speaker 1: love that. He'll tell you.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I've been sort of like I've told you I'm his A.V.,
- 20:07Speaker 3: his accountability voice.
- 20:10Speaker 2: And Jameis, I appreciate you.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I like your concerted effort to really take this thing seriously.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Not that you haven't, but you realize the opportunity that
- 20:22Speaker 3: God has bestowed upon you.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I know you're very grateful. I am very grateful.
- 20:28Speaker 3: For the opportunity that you have in front of you
- 20:30Speaker 3: right now. You definitely have to take full advantage of
- 20:34Speaker 3: the opportunity that you have. And, man, going 31-54, 326 yards,
- 20:44Speaker 3: no interceptions. That's what I want to see. That's the
- 20:49Speaker 3: Jameis Winston that I want to see every week.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Let's build on it. Hey, man, take these New York
- 20:55Speaker 1: football giants where they need to be. You're well on
- 20:58Speaker 1: your way. Keep balling. And, yeah, man. Stay forever grateful.
- 21:03Speaker 3: The football season is heating up and every week feels
- 21:05Speaker 3: bigger with DraftKings.
- 21:08Speaker 1: The DraftKings Sports app is now live in all 50 states.
- 21:11Speaker 1: That means from Texas to California to Florida, every fan
- 21:15Speaker 1: is in on the excitement. Follow the teams you love.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Keep up with the biggest games and experience the excitement
- 21:21Speaker 3: of football all week long. No matter which game you're watching,
- 21:25Speaker 3: you're always connected with one app.
- 21:27Speaker 1: So you said time and time again that the, uh,
- 21:31Speaker 1: Cowboys need to get better. Well, that's not happening. I
- 21:34Speaker 1: keep saying it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I personally think your
- 21:38Speaker 1: picks need to get better. Yeah. right and so that's
- 21:41Speaker 1: really rude that's not rude I'm just saying that's.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Rude but I don't claim to be like like some
- 21:46Speaker 3: swami of some sort you guys are asking me my
- 21:49Speaker 3: picks and I honestly I don't really I don't really
- 21:52Speaker 3: I just don't be knowing you know what I mean
- 21:55Speaker 3: I just don't.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Want to hear whoever this new T.O. is go back
- 21:58Speaker 1: to the cocky dude don't be being passive so maybe
- 22:01Speaker 1: there needs to be some stakes right there's something you
- 22:03Speaker 1: can do some burpees when you lose some pushups and
- 22:06Speaker 1: what you can put on something put on what Why
- 22:11Speaker 1: don't you put that Dallas Cowboy helmet on? No, that's good.
- 22:14Speaker 1: First of all, I don't even know. It used to
- 22:17Speaker 1: be up there when you was proud of him. Hold on,
- 22:20Speaker 1: let me see. I don't even know if I can
- 22:22Speaker 1: even put this thing on. Oh, boy. Is that a
- 22:25Speaker 1: real helmet? No, it says Sears on the side. I
- 22:29Speaker 1: had that same helmet as a kid. This is a medium.
- 22:34Speaker 1: There you go. I like it. So, what are you
- 22:40Speaker 1: trying to say? My punishment? What I got to do?
- 22:41Speaker 1: I got to wear this? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what?
- 22:43Speaker 1: You owe me a kitchen and you owe some tuition.
- 22:45Speaker 1: This is a slide. Don't worry about the tuition. Just
- 22:48Speaker 1: rock that for the next couple minutes. Dude, this is straight. Hey.
- 22:53Speaker 1: And the dude who lied and said he played for
- 22:55Speaker 1: the 49ers, don't try to steal his look. Dajon Love. Yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 1: don't try to steal his look. This is Tijon Love.
- 23:01Speaker 1: All right, what you got? Cowboys Packers. Dallas is 2-3.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Green Bay is 3-2. What you think is going to
- 23:10Speaker 1: happen this week? Super pic. Dude, I look ridiculous. My pic?
- 23:15Speaker 1: You know what's funny? Some girls still going to holler
- 23:17Speaker 1: at you, too. Yeah. Oh, can I tell a story
- 23:20Speaker 1: real quick? Let me tell you what it's like being
- 23:22Speaker 1: fucking Terrell Owens. While all my scamming. We're at my show,
- 23:27Speaker 1: Gravitas in Beverly Hills. And these young ladies walk by.
- 23:32Speaker 1: They go, hi, Terrell. He's like, hey. They're all the
- 23:35Speaker 1: way up the block. He goes, come here. All three
- 23:39Speaker 1: of them turned around and came back. It wasn't like, girl,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I ain't going. You ain't going. I ain't going. All
- 23:44Speaker 1: three of them turned around and came back. First of all,
- 23:45Speaker 1: I didn't say come here. I said, you guys, I said,
- 23:48Speaker 1: y'all not going to speak? Y'all just going to walk?
- 23:50Speaker 1: I've never seen this. All right. And I'm cute and funny.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I've never seen all three turn around and come back
- 23:57Speaker 1: half a block to come see this dude. I was like,
- 24:00Speaker 1: what did you, did you flash him cash? Did you?
- 24:03Speaker 1: It's funny you did say that. You were like, dude,
- 24:05Speaker 1: I've never. Usually there's one going, girl, I don't know him.
- 24:09Speaker 1: You don't know him like that. He's a stranger. All
- 24:10Speaker 1: three of them went. Remember the S1Ws of the public enemy?
- 24:17Speaker 1: And they came back. And I was like, wow. They
- 24:19Speaker 1: sat around and flirted with her. And I couldn't take it.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I got in my car and left. It was painful.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It's always been like that? No, not always. I mean,
- 24:27Speaker 1: you know, it happens sometimes. You know what I mean?
- 24:29Speaker 1: I still got it. All right. Well, listen, this is
- 24:31Speaker 1: what I want to do. When we do gravitas again,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I want you to do the exact same thing you did,
- 24:37Speaker 1: but in the helmet.
- 24:40Speaker 3: I might come into gravitas with this ridiculous looking helmet on.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Cowboys Packers, who you got? You have no idea how
- 24:51Speaker 1: funny this looks. Man, I don't know. I'm going to go...
- 24:56Speaker 1: I'm going to go... I'm going to go Packers. Packers.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I'm going to go Packers. Packers. Hey, mark this down. Packers.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Because y'all keep questioning my picks, man. You know what
- 25:07Speaker 1: I mean? Right. Yeah, I know what I got on
- 25:09Speaker 1: my head. Packers. I'm going with my heart right now.
- 25:12Speaker 1: My heart says Packers. Got you. All right. We got
- 25:15Speaker 1: the Commanders, the Super Tie Game champions, versus the 49ers. Oh,
- 25:21Speaker 1: 49ers all day. That was easy? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Man,
- 25:26Speaker 1: they ain't commanding nothing. Okay. I know this is an
- 25:29Speaker 1: easy one for you, too. Chargers, Chiefs. Oh, Chiefs all day.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Chargers about to be, what, 0-5, 0-6? Yeah. Texans, Jaguars. Jaguars. Yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: that was too quick. Well, like 4-1. Jaguars.
- 25:43Speaker 3: I mean, C.J. Stroud just hasn't really showed me enough.
- 25:47Speaker 3: I mean, one week is not going to do it
- 25:49Speaker 3: for me. It has to be consistency. You look at
- 25:52Speaker 3: what the Jaguars are doing. They are finding ways to win.
- 25:55Speaker 3: As long as there's time on the clock, they are
- 25:59Speaker 3: finding ways to win.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Let's go. Broncos, Seahawks. Broncos, Seahawks, Broncos. They're both 3-2.
- 26:07Speaker 3: I'm going to go with the Seahawks. Although, JSN, I
- 26:12Speaker 3: know he's nursing an ankle injury. I know this because
- 26:15Speaker 3: I watched a little bit of the game. And I
- 26:18Speaker 3: thought he was going to be gimpy. And then this dude,
- 26:20Speaker 3: next series, he goes out, catch a pass, make a
- 26:22Speaker 3: couple of jukes, and gets into the end zone. Again,
- 26:25Speaker 3: that just shows you another tough guy. Everybody keeps telling
- 26:27Speaker 3: me these guys are soft. Another receiver showing toughness, JSM,
- 26:32Speaker 3: Mike Evans.

- 27:40Speaker 1: All right, so what needs... First of all, let's take
- 27:42Speaker 1: off the helmet. You lost. I can't take life like this.
- 27:46Speaker 1: You can't take it no more? It hurts my heart.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I'm getting comfortable. Okay. Well, we got to figure out
- 27:50Speaker 1: what is the punishment next week if you were one
- 27:53Speaker 1: in four. Lord have mercy.
- 27:55Speaker 3: You at least got to be over 500. Oh, with
- 27:58Speaker 3: these picks? Oh, I'm definitely over 500.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Okay, so what should the punishment be? What should the
- 28:03Speaker 1: bet be?
- 28:05Speaker 2: I'm just going to win.
- 28:06Speaker 1: I know I'm going to win this week. I don't
- 28:07Speaker 1: know what it is. I'm going to think of something. Well, yeah,
- 28:10Speaker 1: let's just think about it. How about this? If you're
- 28:13Speaker 1: not over 500, I want to see the beginning of
- 28:16Speaker 1: your new comedy set. OK. Right. You're going to do
- 28:20Speaker 1: five minutes of comedy sometime this year. I want to
- 28:22Speaker 1: see your first minute of jokes. Are you going to
- 28:25Speaker 1: tell it to the camera? All right. All right. If
- 28:27Speaker 1: you're not over 500, do you guys hear that? Yeah.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Do you hear that? Yeah. Subscribe, like, share and rewind. Yeah. OK.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Let's go. You want to keep that on for the
- 28:38Speaker 1: rest of the show? Yeah. OK, good. Well, this is
- 28:41Speaker 1: kind of a serious matter. So Mike Tyson went to
- 28:46Speaker 1: go see Donald Trump. Right. He said that's his friend.
- 28:50Speaker 1: That's his president. I can't talk. I can't take this. Yeah, please.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I told you. I can't talk about this. This is
- 28:59Speaker 1: too serious. This is too serious. They can't take me
- 29:02Speaker 1: serious wearing this. Tyson and Trump have known each other
- 29:05Speaker 1: for decades. Right. I think they used to party in
- 29:07Speaker 1: the 80s, 90s rather. And he was told to deliver a,
- 29:13Speaker 1: I would say this word right, a clemency letter to
- 29:17Speaker 1: Trump from Diddy. Who wrote it, first of all?
- 29:20Speaker 2: First of all, who wrote the letter?
- 29:24Speaker 1: And second of all, how did he even get a
- 29:27Speaker 1: letter from, to and from? From Diddy? Mike Tyson! I
- 29:32Speaker 1: don't know how he got the letter, but I guess
- 29:34Speaker 1: both of them used to hang out with Trump back
- 29:37Speaker 1: in the day, and Diddy's like, yo, if there's anybody
- 29:40Speaker 1: who could get this to him it would be you
- 29:43Speaker 1: again this is really disturbing especially.
- 29:47Speaker 3: As some of our black figures that are kind of
- 29:51Speaker 3: associating themselves with the Trump administration you've had now Mike
- 29:59Speaker 3: Tyson Yeah.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Lawrence Taylor. Hershel Walker. Hershel Walker. Shaq. Well, the Shaq
- 30:06Speaker 1: associates himself with Trump. Yeah. I mean, Cash Patel.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I mean, that's that's a Trump administration. That's part of
- 30:13Speaker 3: you can exclude them.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Right. I mean, shit. Boosie tried to pay six hundred thousand.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Didn't work to get pardoned. And that didn't work. So
- 30:23Speaker 1: I don't know what's in this letter that I don't
- 30:25Speaker 1: know who wrote.
- 30:26Speaker 3: I don't know between Diddy and Mike Tyson who formulated
- 30:31Speaker 3: the letter and presented.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I wonder what the letter said, to be quite honest.
- 30:35Speaker 1: That's what I really want to know. It said, get
- 30:37Speaker 1: me the fuck out of here, is what the letter said.
- 30:39Speaker 1: But imagine something. So, like, I've thrown all my baby
- 30:43Speaker 1: oil away. So what happens when you're friends with a
- 30:47Speaker 1: guy who's a public figure and they do some effed
- 30:51Speaker 1: up stuff? Do you stop being his friend?
- 30:53Speaker 3: I think, I don't know if you, I wouldn't say
- 30:56Speaker 3: you don't stop being his friend, but there's a heart
- 31:00Speaker 3: to heart, there's a conversation that has to be had.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Right.
- 31:04Speaker 3: I know we're going to talk about our friend Da Vinci. Again,
- 31:09Speaker 3: I haven't talked to him personally just yet. We've exchanged
- 31:13Speaker 3: some text messages. But I've been following what was, what's
- 31:17Speaker 3: been going on with that. But as it relates to
- 31:19Speaker 3: obviously with the Tyson and Diddy thing, I just don't,
- 31:22Speaker 3: I don't know where this is going. Obviously, if you
- 31:27Speaker 3: got to go to these measures to try to get out,
- 31:32Speaker 3: he must be having a hard time. I know everybody's
- 31:35Speaker 3: saying he's, He's having a better situation and living better
- 31:39Speaker 3: than some of the other inmates.
- 31:40Speaker 1: But it's still prison. It's still prison. I think to
- 31:44Speaker 1: be honest, the walls may be closing in on him. Right.
- 31:48Speaker 1: So let me ask you something. If I was in
- 31:50Speaker 1: prison and I said, yo, can you get this letter
- 31:53Speaker 1: to Trump? Yeah, we're friends. Then, yeah. I think so.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Maybe that's the same situation.
- 31:58Speaker 3: But I don't know. But understanding why you're in prison,
- 32:03Speaker 3: I would say no. You may be my boy.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Right.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Based on the circumstances that got you in there, no.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I'm not delivering that.
- 32:10Speaker 3: And I'll be like, respectfully, I mean, however you want
- 32:13Speaker 3: to take it, I'm like, I can't do it.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Right. Based on what I know you're in there for. Right.
- 32:19Speaker 1: To be abusive to women, I can't, I'm not going
- 32:25Speaker 1: to turn a blind eye to that.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Let me frame it this way.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Have you ever been in a situation where, again, we're
- 32:31Speaker 3: looking at the scope of where the world is right now.
- 32:34Speaker 3: I just think obviously Donald Trump, like, have you been
- 32:37Speaker 3: in a situation where you had to distance your friend
- 32:39Speaker 3: because they've associated themselves with somebody that's not well-liked and
- 32:45Speaker 3: just not, not having the best interest for the American people?
- 32:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh, after this last election, we distanced ourselves. Me
- 32:53Speaker 1: and my wife have distanced ourselves from a lot of
- 32:56Speaker 1: good friends. Really? We thought we were, they were good friends.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I don't know if they were good people. And, uh,
- 33:04Speaker 1: With no problem. Really? Oh, yeah. It was like, you
- 33:07Speaker 1: feel this way about this man after all that he's
- 33:10Speaker 1: done and the list of negatives. Right, yeah. I don't
- 33:15Speaker 1: need the list. But you're disappointed, especially when you thought
- 33:19Speaker 1: this person who your kids grew up together, this person
- 33:24Speaker 1: is highly educated. This person is someone you've trusted. You
- 33:29Speaker 1: spoke about different issues before. You guys agreed. But then
- 33:32Speaker 1: this guy comes around, this charlatan, and has basically, you know,
- 33:38Speaker 1: hypnotized you. And it wasn't easy to leave, but it's
- 33:43Speaker 1: painful to leave. You know what I mean?
- 33:44Speaker 3: No, I think in the situation for me, I think
- 33:47Speaker 3: when you look at the owner of the Cowboys, Jerry Jones,
- 33:50Speaker 3: and I think when you talk about the Colin Kaepernick thing,
- 33:53Speaker 3: and when he was, you know, obviously.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Making his stance for police brutality, players taking a knee
- 34:00Speaker 3: and really in support of Colin Kaepernick. For me personally,
- 34:04Speaker 3: me knowing how he feels and really putting, really pressuring,
- 34:09Speaker 3: giving his players an ultimatum. If you're in support of Colin,
- 34:13Speaker 3: then I'm going to cut you.
- 34:14Speaker 1: That's whack.
- 34:15Speaker 2: I can't, like, I see guys now, like, and rightfully so.
- 34:19Speaker 3: I mean, you're Michael Irvin's, you're, you're, you're, Emmitt Smith,
- 34:24Speaker 3: guys like that that play for him, I guess I
- 34:27Speaker 3: can kind of see the allegiance why they still associate
- 34:30Speaker 3: themselves with Jerry Jones. But some players, they still fraternize
- 34:35Speaker 3: with him, support him or whatever. Me personally, I haven't
- 34:38Speaker 3: talked to Jerry since I think 2018 or whatever. He
- 34:41Speaker 3: didn't even want to support me with my Hall of
- 34:44Speaker 3: Fame thing because I chose, initially he was in support
- 34:47Speaker 3: of like because I wanted to go in as a cowboy.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I called him personally. And then he found out that
- 34:53Speaker 1: I wasn't going to be attending the Hall of Fame.
- 34:55Speaker 3: So he kind of distanced himself. So he did it
- 34:59Speaker 3: to me. Why can't, in my sense, I can do
- 35:01Speaker 3: the same for him. So I haven't seen or talked
- 35:04Speaker 3: to him. And even if I run into him, I'm
- 35:06Speaker 3: not going to, trust me, I'm not going to make my,
- 35:08Speaker 3: I'm not going to go out of my way to
- 35:10Speaker 3: speak to him. And if he spoke to me, I
- 35:11Speaker 3: probably still wouldn't speak to him. And I guarantee you,
- 35:14Speaker 3: people will say that I'm rude and I'm wrong. That,
- 35:17Speaker 3: you know, they'll question my character. But they'll fail to
- 35:21Speaker 3: forget what he's done in that moment. And trust me,
- 35:25Speaker 3: if any media around, I'll look like the bad guy.
- 35:28Speaker 3: But it is what it is.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I just can't support.
- 35:31Speaker 1: People that do that.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Like a lot of guys, like Pac-Man, all these guys,
- 35:34Speaker 3: they still hang out and go do things with the Cowboys.
- 35:39Speaker 1: And that's their choice.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Do what you want to do.
- 35:42Speaker 3: For me personally, I can't do it because of what he, again,
- 35:46Speaker 3: just because the weight of that situation and understanding what
- 35:51Speaker 3: police are still doing to black, to our black community
- 35:54Speaker 3: and our black people. Like killing them unarmed, no reason
- 36:00Speaker 3: none whatsoever. But an owner is in support of something
- 36:05Speaker 3: like that.
- 36:07Speaker 1: I can't do it. You heard what Trump said last week, right?
- 36:11Speaker 1: About Iran, feel free, damn near said, feel free to
- 36:14Speaker 1: bomb L.A. and San Diego. How do you feel?
- 36:17Speaker 3: You live in L.A.? I live in.
- 36:22Speaker 1: L.A., so how do you feel? What's fucked up is
- 36:24Speaker 1: what he said is ignorant, right? Second, what's worse is
- 36:29Speaker 1: the people back behind him, of course, cheering and applauding.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I'm sure there were some black people back there who
- 36:34Speaker 1: possibly could be from L.A. or have some family in
- 36:36Speaker 1: San Diego. But it's just a double standard. If Obama
- 36:41Speaker 1: would have farted in San Diego... it would have been something.
- 36:45Speaker 1: So it's just a double standard when it comes to
- 36:47Speaker 1: this guy. You know, Sleepy Joe and they shit on Joe.
- 36:51Speaker 1: This motherfucker's fell asleep in more press conferences than Sleeping Beauty.
- 36:55Speaker 1: You know what I mean? And so it's just, why
- 36:58Speaker 1: does this guy still keep getting a pass for anything
- 37:02Speaker 1: he does?
- 37:03Speaker 3: This is, we're living in white America and to be
- 37:06Speaker 3: quite honest, I mean, they get a pass and we don't.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I mean, it is what it is, bro.
- 37:11Speaker 3: I mean, There's no mincing of words, just like he
- 37:15Speaker 3: doesn't mince any words when he's.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Behind that microphone.
- 37:18Speaker 3: And again, I'm not trying to create no divide, white
- 37:21Speaker 3: and black, but that's just it's what it is.
- 37:23Speaker 1: We're living in white America. And again, we as black people, we.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Have to do double, hard, triple, whatever they do to
- 37:33Speaker 3: be recognized or just be put in the best positions
- 37:36Speaker 3: to do anything.
- 37:37Speaker 1: It just kills me. Like even when he first got elected,
- 37:40Speaker 1: he said he could shoot a gun down Main Street
- 37:42Speaker 1: and still get elected. Recently, he just said, it's so funny.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I can say the dumbest shit up here and you
- 37:48Speaker 1: guys still applaud. And they applauded. Yeah, again. And he's like, oh,
- 37:52Speaker 1: but I really don't say dumb shit. I say great shit.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, I don't know when it's going to end,
- 37:58Speaker 3: how it's going to end, what he needs to say.
- 38:03Speaker 1: For it to hit white America in the face for
- 38:05Speaker 1: it to change. That's the only thing. It hasn't hit
- 38:07Speaker 1: white America in the face. Some, but not the majority.
- 38:12Speaker 1: What does he have to do?
- 38:14Speaker 3: Again, I don't know what that may be, but as
- 38:15Speaker 3: long as he keeps opening up in his mouth, he's
- 38:18Speaker 3: going to say something or he's going to do something
- 38:20Speaker 3: to where the white people are like, no, this is enough.
- 38:23Speaker 3: I don't know what that is, but again, as long
- 38:26Speaker 3: as he's in office and as much as he stands
- 38:29Speaker 3: behind those microphones and says whatever comes out of his mouth,
- 38:32Speaker 3: he's bound.
- 38:33Speaker 1: To say something or do something.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Again, I don't know what that is, but I don't
- 38:37Speaker 3: understand for the life of me of all that.
- 38:40Speaker 1: We're talking about, and here's the other thing. It ain't
- 38:42Speaker 1: just white people voting for him. I know that. But again,
- 38:46Speaker 1: we're not the ones that moved the needle either. They're
- 38:48Speaker 1: helping the needle, especially the Latino vote. It helped him. Right.
- 38:53Speaker 1: There was a small black vote. Yeah. But I feel
- 38:57Speaker 1: like he's even getting stronger with the black people as
- 39:00Speaker 1: he's been in office. By the day.
- 39:01Speaker 3: I mean, again, when you see people like, again, we
- 39:03Speaker 3: just talked about, discussed Mike Tyson and, I don't know
- 39:07Speaker 3: if it's a money thing.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Bro, I don't understand.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Again, for the life of me, I just don't understand politics, bro.
- 39:15Speaker 3: It pains me to see what's going on because when
- 39:18Speaker 3: I was a little kid growing up and listening to
- 39:21Speaker 3: my grandmama who grew up in the segregation era where she, again,
- 39:28Speaker 3: I can't comprehend, don't understand. but I heard her talking
- 39:31Speaker 3: to her friends a lot about when it was colored
- 39:34Speaker 3: this and white this, going to a colored bathroom, drinking
- 39:38Speaker 3: from a colored water fountain, going to colored different places
- 39:42Speaker 3: only just for colored people.
- 39:44Speaker 2: I just can't comprehend to do that today.
- 39:49Speaker 3: And everything that's going on, she talked about it way
- 39:52Speaker 3: back when, like 30, 40 years ago when I was
- 39:54Speaker 3: a young kid. And now you see everything really just
- 39:58Speaker 3: unfolded and everything that she talked about, it's still happening
- 40:01Speaker 3: to today.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Again, and it's sad to say.
- 40:03Speaker 3: That like 40, 30, hopefully there's something that can be
- 40:08Speaker 3: done or will be done or can change. But at
- 40:11Speaker 3: the rate that it's going, I don't see a change.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I don't see a change. And if we as a collective.
- 40:19Speaker 3: people of color don't get together, it'll never change because
- 40:24Speaker 3: we're the ones that move the needle. When you think
- 40:26Speaker 3: about we as black people that have invented.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Smart, educated, we have billionaires. If we don't get on
- 40:33Speaker 1: the same.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Page to move the needle, force certain things to happen,
- 40:38Speaker 3: it's not going to change.
- 40:38Speaker 1: We can talk about it ad nauseum on.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Every platform, every radio station, no matter what. Bro, nothing
- 40:45Speaker 3: is going to change until we collectively as a group
- 40:48Speaker 3: make it change.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Let's move into our dear friend Da Vinci. You mentioned
- 40:52Speaker 1: him earlier.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:54Speaker 1: He was on Cam Newton's show and he said some
- 40:58Speaker 1: things that have upset a lot of.
- 41:01Speaker 2: He ruffled some feathers.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Ruffled some black feathers. Some black American feathers. Yeah. Did
- 41:06Speaker 1: you see the whole interview or you just seen clips?
- 41:07Speaker 3: I've seen clips of it. And then again, you just said,
- 41:10Speaker 3: you said black American feathers.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 41:14Speaker 2: So I think listening to some of it, I think
- 41:17Speaker 2: he needed to.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Not distance himself away from us. Right, he separated. It
- 41:23Speaker 1: was almost like he separated. If he would have said,
- 41:25Speaker 1: we need to do better, instead of you black Americans
- 41:28Speaker 1: need to do better, I think his message would have been... Received, yeah,
- 41:34Speaker 1: received a lot better. I think the thing that really
- 41:37Speaker 1: bothered everybody the most was, and I think it was
- 41:41Speaker 1: misconstrued or taken out of context when he said that
- 41:44Speaker 1: black people need to get over slavery. And I don't
- 41:49Speaker 1: think he said it like that. I haven't seen the
- 41:51Speaker 1: entire interview.
- 41:51Speaker 3: No, he did say that. He didn't say we as
- 41:55Speaker 3: black people. He just said black people need to get over.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Somebody else said something similar to that. I can't remember
- 42:01Speaker 3: who it was, but it was like, yo, they need
- 42:03Speaker 3: to get over slavery as if we can just skip
- 42:08Speaker 3: over it or as if it didn't happen and we
- 42:14Speaker 3: shouldn't be standing up for our ancestors and what they
- 42:18Speaker 3: did really kind of paved.
- 42:20Speaker 1: The way for where we are. No, I think he
- 42:22Speaker 1: said many of us need to get over slavery.
- 42:27Speaker 3: I don't.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:27Speaker 3: I don't think as a black man, you should be
- 42:30Speaker 3: on a platform, especially, you know, fourth and one with Kim.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Like we do enough damage to ourselves. Right. Why not?
- 42:38Speaker 1: We is him as black. Right.
- 42:40Speaker 3: He's identified. I mean, somebody look at him. Police ain't
- 42:43Speaker 3: going to know he's Haitian or Jamaican or whatever.
- 42:46Speaker 1: You black.
- 42:47Speaker 3: So to sit in that chair looking like he looked,
- 42:50Speaker 3: you can't say that.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Point the finger.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Right, you can't say that.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Again, there's different colors of lazy.
- 42:58Speaker 3: But to sit in that seat and really point out
- 43:01Speaker 3: and say we're lazy, it's just not the opposite of it.
- 43:05Speaker 1: It's just not a good look. Especially, and you don't
- 43:06Speaker 1: want to give them any ammunition. And I know, and
- 43:09Speaker 1: the thing is... Because you know what they'll say is,
- 43:12Speaker 1: I didn't say you're lazy, DaVinci said you're lazy.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Right, and again... I know Da Vinci.
- 43:16Speaker 1: I know him personally. You know what I mean?
- 43:18Speaker 3: And that's what is so hard about this. And I haven't,
- 43:22Speaker 3: till today, I haven't reached out to him for whatever reason.
- 43:26Speaker 3: I didn't even know, honestly, we were going to talk
- 43:27Speaker 3: about him, to be quite honest. And I just asked him,
- 43:31Speaker 3: was he good? Because it was on my mind and
- 43:33Speaker 3: I know everybody's talking about this topic. And literally, I
- 43:36Speaker 3: just saw him not too long ago because we played pickleball.
- 43:39Speaker 3: That was the last time we saw each other. And
- 43:42Speaker 3: understanding really kind of where his journey has taken him,
- 43:45Speaker 3: his acting career has taken him, playing on all these shows.
- 43:49Speaker 3: And again, identifying as a black individual playing on black
- 43:54Speaker 3: shows produced by black people.
- 43:57Speaker 1: That's the one thing you shouldn't say is black people
- 44:00Speaker 1: are lazy. Yes. Because those very black.
- 44:03Speaker 3: People are in positions to put him in a position
- 44:06Speaker 3: that he's sitting in. And again, I honestly feel like
- 44:09Speaker 3: he should, Again, it's okay to come out and say,
- 44:12Speaker 3: take some accountability and come out and say, I misspoke.
- 44:16Speaker 1: I was wrong.
- 44:17Speaker 3: And sometimes you don't know enough about history or educated
- 44:23Speaker 3: enough to be sitting behind a microphone and then start
- 44:25Speaker 3: talking about history and black people.
- 44:30Speaker 1: And a lot of it could have just come from
- 44:32Speaker 1: his immediate surroundings, right? You know, him being Haitian, coming from,
- 44:37Speaker 1: you know, parents. But why, again, why separate yourselves? No,
- 44:42Speaker 1: so what happens, I think what he was doing, you know,
- 44:44Speaker 1: because my family's Jamaican. And so... I know the pressure
- 44:48Speaker 1: of people who are immigrants for their kids to succeed.
- 44:52Speaker 1: And so maybe in his surroundings, he didn't see the
- 44:55Speaker 1: same shit that his, the pressure that his parents were
- 44:58Speaker 1: giving him with his friends. Not making an excuse for him,
- 45:02Speaker 1: but maybe I'm just saying this is a possibility. He
- 45:05Speaker 1: didn't see the same pressure? I'm just saying when your
- 45:07Speaker 1: parents are Caribbean and you come over here and they're
- 45:10Speaker 1: trying to fit in, there's a lot of pressure for
- 45:13Speaker 1: you to be successful. So they're like, listen, look, Chris,
- 45:18Speaker 1: I need you to be a doctor or a lawyer.
- 45:20Speaker 1: And if you can't be that, I need you to
- 45:22Speaker 1: marry a doctor or a lawyer. There's that pressure sometimes
- 45:26Speaker 1: when you come from an immigrant family. And so I'm trying,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I'm listening.
- 45:30Speaker 3: I'm just trying to, I'm trying to put myself kind
- 45:34Speaker 3: of like in his shoes.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Right. And that's just an example of maybe where he's
- 45:38Speaker 1: coming from. I'm just saying, maybe that's where he's coming from.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 45:42Speaker 3: But again, even with your coming from there, I mean, again,
- 45:45Speaker 3: I think, sometimes it's better to sometimes educate yourself on
- 45:52Speaker 3: something or just not speak at all.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Absolutely. Well, he knows that now for sure.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Even if there's some level of ambiguity on your delivery
- 46:02Speaker 3: or just your information, then not speak on it.
- 46:07Speaker 1: And then again, like I said, will this hurt his career?
- 46:11Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Again, I texted him earlier. I don't I'm not going
- 46:15Speaker 3: to read verbatim what he said, but I'll paraphrase. He's
- 46:18Speaker 3: saying something about, you know, with everything that has happened
- 46:21Speaker 3: and transpired, people are lying about, you know, again, people
- 46:24Speaker 3: saying that he's lost X amount of followers, blah, blah, blah.
- 46:27Speaker 3: And he said in paraphrasing, he said, I've actually gained
- 46:31Speaker 3: followers on on Instagram and TikTok.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Those are all immigrants. You're stupid. Yeah.
- 46:39Speaker 3: But again, it's kind of split. There are people who
- 46:43Speaker 3: are in support of him because I think they can
- 46:46Speaker 3: kind of understand where he's coming from.
- 46:48Speaker 1: It just didn't come out the right way.
- 46:50Speaker 3: And then there are people that are really opposed to
- 46:52Speaker 3: what he's saying because they're not hearing or thinking where
- 46:58Speaker 3: he's coming from. And again, I think, too, by the
- 47:01Speaker 3: time he gets on the show, maybe he will have
- 47:04Speaker 3: educated himself and there's, you know, we all have those
- 47:07Speaker 3: moments where we sit in silence and we kind of,
- 47:12Speaker 3: you know, we ponder and we sit in our thoughts
- 47:14Speaker 3: about what we could have done or should have said
- 47:16Speaker 3: or should have done, should have done or should have said.
- 47:20Speaker 3: I think he's in that space right now. Again, it's
- 47:24Speaker 3: not a great space to be in for me overall.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Like, it's not a good look. I don't personally, I
- 47:30Speaker 1: don't think it's a good look.
- 47:31Speaker 3: I listen to him and I try to, you're listening
- 47:35Speaker 3: to him and you're hearing and you're reading all the
- 47:37Speaker 3: comments and some people that are in positions that are
- 47:41Speaker 3: a little bit more educated than I am on our history,
- 47:46Speaker 3: really kind of just have that point of view on
- 47:48Speaker 3: what he said and what they got from it. I
- 47:51Speaker 3: don't think they got from it what he was trying
- 47:54Speaker 3: to deliver.
- 47:55Speaker 1: But should you be able to benefit from a culture,
- 47:59Speaker 1: I'm talking about black Americans, by shitting on them and
- 48:06Speaker 1: then also relying on them to feed your family. You
- 48:11Speaker 1: know what I mean? There's a lot of people who
- 48:12Speaker 1: have done that to us that have, you know, culture
- 48:17Speaker 1: vultured us and shit on us and then go on
- 48:23Speaker 1: to make millions of dollars off of us.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Two things that you said.
- 48:27Speaker 1: I think.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Right from the start you said you need to see
- 48:31Speaker 2: the entirety of the interview.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I think all of us do.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think That's where, again, I haven't seen
- 48:38Speaker 3: the interview in its entirety. And me understanding how media works,
- 48:44Speaker 3: and I'm sure how 4th and 1, they probably clipped
- 48:49Speaker 3: some sound bites. The ones that obviously made this thing
- 48:52Speaker 3: go viral. And like I said, I don't know who
- 48:54Speaker 3: actually watched it in its entirety. But again, you have
- 48:57Speaker 3: to watch sometimes the entire video or interview to to
- 49:02Speaker 3: really fully understand the context in which he probably was
- 49:05Speaker 3: speaking from. And so, again, if you're just showing clips,
- 49:10Speaker 3: you can have a reaction just off that alone with
- 49:14Speaker 3: not having the context to it. But to your point,
- 49:17Speaker 3: can they benefit or.
- 49:20Speaker 1: think, should they?
- 49:22Speaker 3: No, I think there should always be some consequences to
- 49:24Speaker 3: your actions, especially in the climate.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Where we are.
- 49:29Speaker 3: And we've tried to strive as black people to do
- 49:35Speaker 3: so many things And people that are in his position
- 49:38Speaker 3: and that aspire to be in his position, we've done
- 49:42Speaker 3: so many great things to be where we are. This
- 49:46Speaker 3: is not a platform to now try to denounce or
- 49:49Speaker 3: really just.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Tear us down. You get what I'm saying? I don't
- 49:52Speaker 1: think that's what he thought. He never thought that through
- 49:56Speaker 1: and how he's probably going to come across sitting down
- 49:59Speaker 1: and doing that interview.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Sometimes people can sit and get comfortable and try to
- 50:03Speaker 3: get too deep with conversations. and you go off and,
- 50:08Speaker 3: and to somewhere and this is what happens.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Um, for me, like I try not.
- 50:13Speaker 3: To get into a lot of politics and things of
- 50:15Speaker 3: that nature. Um, I try to feel somewhat connected to
- 50:19Speaker 3: the black community. Um, I know what I know and
- 50:21Speaker 3: I know what I don't know. Um, I rely on
- 50:24Speaker 3: the people that are more educated to speak on topics that, um,
- 50:27Speaker 3: that are, you know, that they're well more versed, uh,
- 50:30Speaker 3: in or on. Um, and then I, I add my
- 50:33Speaker 3: insight and my point of views, but I think, I
- 50:36Speaker 3: think this is definitely something in any view I think
- 50:39Speaker 3: he probably regrets.
- 50:41Speaker 2: I don't really have any regrets in my career.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I know I've done a lot of things or I've
- 50:45Speaker 3: said a lot of things, but I know if I'm
- 50:47Speaker 3: sitting in his shoes and if I'm Da Vinci and
- 50:51Speaker 3: understanding the backlash, this is something you have to regret.
- 50:55Speaker 3: This is not something you're proud of. And even if
- 50:58Speaker 3: this is something he can grow from, that may be
- 51:02Speaker 3: a reason not to regret it. But I think this
- 51:05Speaker 3: is a space for him to grow, not only just
- 51:09Speaker 3: as a human being, but as a black American or
- 51:12Speaker 3: how people see him. Because at the end of the day,
- 51:15Speaker 3: it's only going to take one incident for him to.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Realize like, bro, you're black. You may be Haitian. You're black.
- 51:26Speaker 1: But you're black. You're black.
- 51:27Speaker 2: I'm wishing the best and I'm hoping he can rebound
- 51:29Speaker 2: from this. But overall, like I said, Da Vinci is.
- 51:31Speaker 3: A great guy. He's a good dude. No, no, he's
- 51:33Speaker 3: a good dude. I just think, obviously, like I said,
- 51:35Speaker 3: we all make mistakes. And I think, you know, obviously,
- 51:39Speaker 3: if he can, you know, take this time to, again, to,
- 51:43Speaker 3: you know.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Take his lumps, take his licks.
- 51:45Speaker 3: And again, I think you either come out with an apology,
- 51:50Speaker 3: get you a PR person. But I think it would
- 51:52Speaker 3: be genuine to really go on camera and just like, yeah, bro,
- 51:55Speaker 3: I was wrong. I misspoke or you guys misunderstood me. Um, again,
- 52:00Speaker 3: like people that didn't see the entirety of the interview,
- 52:03Speaker 3: maybe we didn't understand the context in which it came from. Um,
- 52:06Speaker 3: I think DaVinci, uh, bro, you know, both of us, uh,
- 52:10Speaker 3: you know, you, you, this is a safe space, uh,
- 52:13Speaker 3: with us, with, uh, myself and Chris.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Um, yeah, just, you know, I want to come on,
- 52:17Speaker 1: come on the show, get to the point, man.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Let the people, let everybody know, man, uh, where your
- 52:22Speaker 3: heart is. I know you're a great person. Um, but
- 52:25Speaker 3: like I said, we all make mistakes. Come on the show, man. Uh, Yeah,
- 52:28Speaker 3: come chop it up with us.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Speaking of regrets, Lane Johnson played 14 seasons, decided it
- 52:36Speaker 1: was time for him to take a mental health break
- 52:40Speaker 1: or actually retire. Right. I heard a little bit about this.
- 52:44Speaker 1: And Stephen A. Smith not only thought it was ridiculous,
- 52:50Speaker 1: he kind of mocked him and then later had regrets
- 52:54Speaker 1: about it. Um, I'm trying not to just have a
- 53:01Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith bash because every other channel has done so.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Why not? I mean, why spare him any punches, bro? T.O.,
- 53:12Speaker 1: you've been talking about Stephen A. for years and who
- 53:15Speaker 1: the real Stephen A. Smith is. What is it that
- 53:19Speaker 1: you saw back then that people are just now starting
- 53:22Speaker 1: to see? I just saw a person, honestly, again, obviously....
- 53:29Speaker 3: Incredible at his craft and what he, what he did,
- 53:32Speaker 3: what he does. Um, obviously he was a fan of mine,
- 53:35Speaker 3: followed me in Philly. I didn't know much about him.
- 53:37Speaker 3: I think he became a fan of mine when I
- 53:39Speaker 3: was in Philly. I don't know if he watched me
- 53:41Speaker 3: when I was in San Fran, but obviously I think
- 53:43Speaker 3: that was kind of our connection when we kind of connected. And, uh, yeah,
- 53:47Speaker 3: he was always a fan.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I mean, I wouldn't even say considered him a friend.
- 53:51Speaker 1: I just saw him. We knew each other. We gave
- 53:54Speaker 1: each other respect. He gave me flowers. Yeah. It was
- 53:57Speaker 1: always cordial. And, um, Yeah.
- 53:59Speaker 3: What I what I saw growing up, I mean, I've
- 54:02Speaker 3: always tried to have a sense of discernment with with
- 54:05Speaker 3: friends and people that I've put myself around.
- 54:08Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, my grandma always talked about these things.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I don't think I.
- 54:13Speaker 3: Just it just didn't work out that well for me
- 54:16Speaker 3: when because I always tried to give people the benefit
- 54:18Speaker 3: of the doubt.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Sure.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Because I knew how my grandma was raised, raised and
- 54:23Speaker 3: and how she grew up.
- 54:24Speaker 1: I knew that that couldn't be my reality.
- 54:27Speaker 3: But she gave me wisdom and she gave me guidance
- 54:31Speaker 3: as to things that I would experience. And honestly, had
- 54:35Speaker 3: I taken a lot of what she said to heart,
- 54:38Speaker 3: a lot of things that I've gone through probably wouldn't
- 54:40Speaker 3: have happened. Because I have a big heart. I'm a
- 54:44Speaker 3: person that tries to see the good in people and
- 54:48Speaker 3: give people the benefit of the doubt.
- 54:50Speaker 2: But my grandma always said, you know, watch as well
- 54:52Speaker 2: as pray. You know, pray for people.
- 54:56Speaker 3: Your friends, whatever the case may, even your personal, uh,
- 54:59Speaker 3: pray for your personal things that you're, you're wanting.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Um, but the watch part.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Is watch the people you're around, watch what they say,
- 55:08Speaker 3: watch what they do.
- 55:09Speaker 1: And I used to do that.
- 55:11Speaker 3: I didn't pray for Stephen A, but I watched some
- 55:13Speaker 3: of the things that he would do and say. And
- 55:15Speaker 3: I saw it when I went on the show and
- 55:17Speaker 3: I just saw that ESPN was using him as a puppet.
- 55:22Speaker 3: I didn't say it publicly till just now, But what
- 55:25Speaker 3: I saw is what people is seeing right now is
- 55:29Speaker 3: unfolding before our very eyes.
- 55:32Speaker 1: It's obvious what he's doing. He's done enough. He's made
- 55:37Speaker 1: his money by talking down on black people, black athletes.
- 55:42Speaker 1: That's a given. I saw that.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Maybe people don't think that I'm in a position or
- 55:48Speaker 3: think I'm smart enough to see or say some of
- 55:50Speaker 3: the things or speak to certain things. Because of the
- 55:54Speaker 3: negative persona around me, which makes no sense. I mean,
- 55:57Speaker 3: I've spoken on a number of things and people I hear,
- 55:59Speaker 3: I see comments like, who is he to speak on anything?
- 56:02Speaker 1: He's ignorant. He's done this.
- 56:04Speaker 3: They'll equate to me losing money or mismanaging or what
- 56:10Speaker 3: they call being broke as to me not being educated
- 56:14Speaker 3: enough or smart enough to speak on certain things. It
- 56:18Speaker 3: says a lot to them, but it's always mind boggling
- 56:21Speaker 3: when I read those comments.
- 56:23Speaker 1: But when it comes to Stephen A., I saw it then. Again,
- 56:27Speaker 1: I think people.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Are really seeing and understanding what I was talking about
- 56:34Speaker 3: back then. I don't want to get into name-calling.
- 56:38Speaker 1: It is what it is to what he is and
- 56:42Speaker 1: who he is.
- 56:42Speaker 3: He's not going to be satisfied. Is somebody going to
- 56:45Speaker 3: pop him in his mouth? I'm telling you, somebody's going to.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Pop him in his mouth.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Yeah, they may sue him. He may sue this and
- 56:52Speaker 3: that and the other. Somebody's going to pop him in
- 56:54Speaker 3: the mouth and they're going to try to sue him.
- 56:56Speaker 3: They ain't got nothing to sue him for. That person
- 57:00Speaker 3: may just go to jail. But as you've seen, even
- 57:03Speaker 3: with Ray J and some of the clips and things
- 57:05Speaker 3: of that nature, everybody is speaking to Stephen A against
- 57:10Speaker 3: Stephen A. And for whatever reason, he just doesn't get it. And, yeah,
- 57:14Speaker 3: he has family just like everybody supports him, whatever.
- 57:17Speaker 2: The people that he's speaking against, they have families just
- 57:19Speaker 2: as well.
- 57:21Speaker 3: And he loves to preface a lot of things before
- 57:24Speaker 3: he gives these backhanded compliments. Give them praises and then
- 57:29Speaker 3: give them a backhanded compliment. Yeah, I don't want to
- 57:33Speaker 3: sit here and just keep talking about Stephen. He's not
- 57:35Speaker 3: the top of my list.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I already told him when I see him, it's going
- 57:39Speaker 1: to be a beeline to him. um, to whatever, you know, it,
- 57:43Speaker 1: whatever it is. Um, I don't like him. I don't
- 57:45Speaker 1: like what he's doing. I don't like what he said.
- 57:47Speaker 3: I mean, to, to, to fix his mouth, to say
- 57:49Speaker 3: some of the things that, again, some of the most
- 57:52Speaker 3: distinguished people, um, in this country is crazy. Your Jasmine Crockett's,
- 57:56Speaker 3: your Kamala Harris's, your, your Michelle Obama's like, I mean,
- 58:00Speaker 3: and not to mention the number of great athletes that
- 58:03Speaker 3: he's spoken out, uh, uh, against and said bad things for, um, Again,
- 58:11Speaker 3: he should be Stephen Anderson, Stephen H.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Smith, not Stephan, whatever it is. I don't know, man.
- 58:20Speaker 3: We just keep talking about this guy, and he keeps
- 58:23Speaker 3: showing us who he really is. Again, for him to
- 58:26Speaker 3: speak so recklessly to a guy and then try to
- 58:33Speaker 3: backtrack and say he's had mental health issues, then if
- 58:36Speaker 3: you knew that, then you're... you're smart enough to not
- 58:40Speaker 3: speak on something that.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Is affecting millions of people and is a very sensitive topic.
- 58:48Speaker 3: But to feel like you have a microphone and a
- 58:50Speaker 3: platform and be reckless with your words, he's never played football.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Maybe his mental is not, I ain't going to say probably,
- 58:59Speaker 3: it's not the same as a football person's mental. His
- 59:03Speaker 3: stresses or whatever he's going through up to leading to
- 59:05Speaker 3: where he is sitting behind getting paid by ESPN.
- 59:09Speaker 2: That mental doesn't even.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Compare to a football player's mental and what we have
- 59:14Speaker 1: to go through and to denounce or just really talk
- 59:17Speaker 1: down on a guy that has made an executive decision
- 59:21Speaker 1: for his personal health his family to say that bro
- 59:25Speaker 1: it's it's despicable it's not just ridiculous it's despicable I
- 59:30Speaker 1: didn't see the apology. I don't even accept his apology.
- 59:33Speaker 1: If I'm Lane Johnson, I wouldn't even accept his apology.
- 59:37Speaker 1: If I'm Lane Johnson, I got my pop in his mouth.
- 59:41Speaker 3: And that's what it's probably going to take for him
- 59:43Speaker 3: to maybe put a muzzle on his mouth. But he's
- 59:46Speaker 3: getting reckless on an everyday basis. It's week to week
- 59:50Speaker 3: with something with Stephen A.
- 59:51Speaker 1: That's just how it is.
- 59:52Speaker 3: I mean, bro, football players are killing themselves, bro. and
- 59:57Speaker 3: what's so, what's so crazy because I've gone, I've gone
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: through my own personal, uh, struggles. I've had my own
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: personal demons. I've even talked about, yeah, there are moments
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: where I've had some dark days, Chris, where you feel like, man,
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: there's one thing after another and it seems like it,
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: nothing gets.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Better and it's snowballing.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Um, just went through a recent incident with my, uh, former, uh, uh, financial, my,
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: my manager.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Um, you're stealing money from me.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: And then like I said, on top of things that
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: go on behind the scenes, you talk about the guy
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: from the Buccaneers that just killed himself. We've had so
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: many suicides and people are wondering why and how. And
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: then they follow it up with, well, you have a
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: beautiful family, you have beautiful kids, you're making a lot
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: of money, you live in a big house.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: That's just not satisfying. That's not enough.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: When you go through the little things that people don't
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: see behind the scenes, you can't quantify why or what
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: that person has gone through to make them go to
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: the point to bro, take your life. And bro, at
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: the end of the day, like it's a lot of
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: people that may be listening to this. They probably even
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: thought it, but they don't want to go on a
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: record to say that they've actually thought it or have the,
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: actually the ability to do it. But to get to
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: that point, to actually do it, bro, your back is
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: against the wall.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: There's no hope.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: We just lost a friend, Randy Peterson, bowling. A friend
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: of mine, he was a bowler, commentator.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Oh, yes.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: Randy Peterson, the bowler. He just killed himself. I talked
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: to Tom Clark, the commissioner. We all knew him. When
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: I heard that, I was like, yo, this is crazy.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: I just heard he died. And then I heard he
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: died from suicide.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: And I'm like, what?
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Bro, you just never know what people are going through, bro.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: You never fucking know.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: And again, I don't understand how there's not any consequences
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: to Stephen A's actions, especially with ESPN and Disney being
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: the corporation, the business entity that they are to speak
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: so insensitive with a.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Topic like mental health the way he did. Why isn't
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: he suspended? Why? You mentioned early Stephen A. Smith's disrespect for,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you named three of our top queens in this thing
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: we call the United States of America with Kamala Michelle.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Jasmine Crockett. Jasmine Crockett. So I don't know why we
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: as a culture, notice I said we DaVinci, feel like
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: it's our place to disrespect our women. Or just not.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Hold them in the highest regard.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: We saw it in the last few weeks with them
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: talking about how Jasmine Guy looks now. She's not as
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: attractive as she was when she was 20 years old.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: And at the end of the day, beauty is in
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: the eye of the beholder. And at the end of
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: the day, we're all not going to look like we
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: looked 20, 30 years ago.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Exactly. Exactly. But now, there was a podcast, I can't,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I don't know the name of this group of unattractive dudes.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: These niggas shit on the cast of Living Single and said,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I don't know why people are watching Living Single. None
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: of these people were attractive. How the hell did Max
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: get all these men? She's not cute. And I'm like,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: What the fuck are you fat sloppy motherfuckers talking about?
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: A lot of these people, you would think, that has
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: keyboard courage.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: Now they just microphone courage and podcast courage.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: It's absolutely crazy. First of all, I think it's totally wrong.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I think everybody on that cast was quite attractive.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: And I remember living single.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: That's one of the things. When I watched the show...
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: I didn't, I didn't, I wasn't gauging how somebody looked.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I don't know what show you do that for unless
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: it's like these housewives shows. Nobody's going, oh man, I
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: can't watch it. I can't wait to watch it live
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: in color. So they so cute. Right. Exactly.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: Real housewives of Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Orange County and
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: all the Atlanta.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Them the ones. It's based off beauty. Right. And
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: they look dressed to the nine. And they look God
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: awful because of all the surgery and the Botox and
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: all the stuff they do. And they're made up.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Tell them to take their makeup off and do Real
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: Housewives or whatever their show is.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I don't think none of them will be jumping. Well,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: a few of them. I don't think but half of
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: them will be jumping on the camera. Exactly. So, A,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: there's that. And then B... I thought that everybody on
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: this show was quite attractive. Kim Fields is cute. Kim
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Coles is cute. Queen Latifah's cute. Eric Alexander's cute. Like
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: And here's what really pisses me off is that that
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: little itty bitty thing they said has us talking about it.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Like it got around the airwaves or whatever the word
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you kids say today all throughout social media that now
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: we have to address it. You know what I mean?
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: And it's just crazy how you can say something. Who
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: are these white guys? No, they black. That's what makes
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: it worse.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: We're so quick to tear our own down and then
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: be so.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Quick to criticize or gripe about why we can't do X, Y, Z.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Why we can't do it. We're so quick to.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Just say the most negative things about why we can't
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: do something. and not say positive things about what we
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: can do or what we should do. Like I said,
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: you can't just, like I said, the podcast has been like,
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: I mean, it's been a good thing and it's been
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: a bad thing. This podcast space is not for everybody.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Everybody doesn't need a microphone.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Just period.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: But I just, again, I don't, again, they probably, honestly,
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: they probably doing it for clickbait. That's the only thing
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: I can say, because guess what we're doing? We're talking
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: about it.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Exactly. And let me tell you something. If you see
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: what these dudes look like, you will know that all
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: of them are living single.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Damn right, I'm pretty sure they are. People just really
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: need to start canceling people altogether.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: That would be dope. That shit would stop. When people
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: start canceling Stephen A, I guarantee you it would stop.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: If people stop watching ESPN, I.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Guarantee you that shit would stop.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: I hear people on the street all the time, we
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: need to stop, we need to cancel Stephen A, we
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: need to stop doing this, we need to stop watching ESPN.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Stop watching ESPN. Watch their ratings go down.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: I bet you they change it. If I watch ESPN,
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: it's on somebody else's TV. It's on somebody else's... Yeah,
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: it's at somebody else's place, a house or whatever. My
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: son watches it every night. I don't really watch ESPN.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I watch... HGTV. I watch Netflix. That's what I watch.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: The only thing I'm waiting for right now, if it's basketball,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I'll watch it. But I'm telling you, black people, we
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: have so much power. All we have to do is
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: use it. We keep talking about it, just as we
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: did with Target. There's a lot of people, a lot
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: of black people still shop at Target. I see. I
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: see a lot of people. Wait, how you see it?
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Because I had to go into CVS. The CVS that
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: I go to is in Target. It's not associated with Target.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Clarification. So when I go in there, I see people
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: shopping in Target. Bro, I haven't shopped in Target in
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: almost two years. But the same approach that we did
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: with Target. Right. And they saw. And it gave them
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: a dip. They saw the dip. That's what needs to happen.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: When we. Stop supporting Stephen A by watching ESPN. It
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: will change. Because guess what? He ain't going to change.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: The ones that hire him, they will change because they
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: will see their ratings drop. We are doing exactly what
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: they want him to do.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: We keep watching. He keeps saying. He keeps popping off
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: at the mouth. And we keep going back either.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: To his podcast, his other businesses outside of ESPN, and
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: we keep watching it.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I don't watch it. I mean, obviously, I had to
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: hear social media clips. Sure. That's the only way that
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I see it. That's it. Get to the point, y'all.
