Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, April 25th.
• 0:11
Unshaken confidence. Life can feel unstable so
• 0:14
  quickly. Plans change, people disappoint
• 0:16
you, the future feels unclear. You try your best but still
• 0:21
cannot control everything. Proverbs chapter 14 verses 32 to
• 0:26
33 says that the righteous find refuge and that wisdom rests in
• 0:30
the heart of a person of understanding.
• 0:33
Psalm 47, verses 7 to 8 says God is the king of all the earth and
• 0:38
God reigns over the nation's. That truth is an anchor.
• 0:41
God reigns not just when life makes sense, not just when
• 0:46
prayers are answered the way you hoped, not just when things feel
• 0:49
calm. God reigns when the world feels
• 0:52
loud, when your heart feels uncertain, and when you cannot
• 0:55
see what comes next. Romans Chapter 9 reminds us that
• 0:59
God's mercy and purpose are not based on human striving.
• 1:03
That can be humbling, but it is also freeing.
• 1:06
Your security does not rest on your ability to perform
• 1:09
perfectly, control outcomes, or earn God's love.
• 1:13
It rests on His mercy. Unshaken confidence is not
• 1:16
pretending you are never afraid. It is knowing where to run when
• 1:20
fear comes. It is remembering that the
• 1:23
throne of God does not shake just because your circumstances
• 1:26
  do. Your grades, reputation,
• 1:29
relationships, and future matter, but they are not strong
• 1:32
enough to carry your identity, only God is.
• 1:35
So when life feels uncertain, look higher.
• 1:38
The King is still on his throne. His wisdom is still true.
• 1:42
His mercy is still enough. You can rest because your life
• 1:45
is held by someone stronger than your circumstances.
• 1:48
Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you that
• 1:52
you reign over everything. When life feels uncertain, help
• 1:55
me find refuge in you. Teach me to trust Your mercy
• 1:59
instead of relying on my own efforts or control.
• 2:02
Give me wisdom, peace, and unshaken confidence because my
• 2:05
life is in your hands. In Jesus name, Amen.
• 2:13
What if you could rise up and declare with full spiritual
• 2:15
authority, I shall not die, but live?
• 2:19

Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
• 3:13
Bible reading plan. Proverbs chapter 14, verses 32
• 3:19
to 33 World English Bible. The wicked is brought down in
• 3:23
his calamity, but in death the righteous has a refuge.
• 3:27
Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding and is
• 3:31
even made known in the inward part of fools.
• 3:34
Psalm chapter 47 World English Bible for the chief musician.
• 3:39
A Psalm by the sons of Korra. Oh, clap your hands all you
• 3:43
nations. Shout to God with the voice of
• 3:45
triumph, for Yahweh Most High is awesome.
• 3:48
He is a great king over all the earth.
• 3:51
He subdues nations under us and peoples under our feet.
• 3:54
He chooses our inheritance for us, the glory of Jacob whom he
• 3:57
  loved. Selah.
• 3:59
God has gone up with a shout, Yahweh with the sound of a
• 4:02
  trumpet. Sing praises to God.
• 4:04
Sing praises. Sing praises to our king.
• 4:07
Sing praises, for God is the king of all the earth.
• 4:11
Sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations.
• 4:15
God sits on His holy throne. The Princess of the peoples are
• 4:19
gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham.
• 4:23
For the Shields of the earth belong to God.
• 4:25
He is greatly exalted. Romans Chapter 9 World English
• 4:29
Bible I tell the truth in Christ.
• 4:32
I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Holy
• 4:36
Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart.
• 4:41
For I could wish that I myself were a cursed from Christ for my
• 4:44
brothers sake. My relatives according to the
• 4:47
flesh, who are Israelites, whose is the adoption, the glory, the
• 4:51
covenants, the giving of the law, the service and the
• 4:54
promises, Of whom are the fathers?
• 4:57
And from whom is Christ, as concerning the flesh, who is
• 5:00
over all God blessed forever, Amen.
• 5:04
But it is not as though the Word of God has come to nothing, for
• 5:07
they are not all Israel that are of Israel.
• 5:10
Neither because they are Abraham's offspring are they all
• 5:13
children. But your offspring will be
• 5:16
accounted as from Isaac. That is, it is not the children
• 5:20
of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the
• 5:23
promise are counted as heirs. For this is a word of promise.
• 5:27
At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.
• 5:31
Not only so, but Rebecca also, conceived by one by our Father
• 5:35
Isaac, for being not yet born, neither having done anything
• 5:39
good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might
• 5:43
stand not of works, but of him who calls.
• 5:46
It was said to her. The elder will serve the
• 5:49
younger, even as it is written. Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.
• 5:53
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with
• 5:57
  God? May it never be.
• 6:00
For he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
• 6:03
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.
• 6:07
So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but
• 6:10
of God who has mercy. For the Scripture says to
• 6:14
Pharaoh, for this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that
• 6:18
I might show in you my power, and that my name might be
• 6:20
proclaimed in all the earth. So then He has mercy on whom he
• 6:25
desires, and he hardens whom he desires.
• 6:29
You will say then to me, why does he still find fault?
• 6:32
For who withstands His will? But indeed, O man, who are you
• 6:35
to reply against God? Well, the thing formed, ask him
• 6:39
who formed it. Why did you make me like this?
• 6:42
Or hasn't the Potter a right over the clay from the same
• 6:45
lump, to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for
• 6:49
dishonor? What if God, willing to show His
• 6:52
wrath, and to make His power known, endured with much
• 6:55
patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and
• 6:59
that He might make known the riches of His glory on vessels
• 7:02
of mercy which He prepared beforehand for glory?
• 7:05
Us whom He also called not from the Jews only, but also from the
• 7:10
Gentiles, as He says also in Hosea.
• 7:13
I will call them My people, which were not My people, and
• 7:16
her beloved who was not beloved. It will be that in the place
• 7:20
where it was said to them, You are not My people, though they
• 7:24
will be called children of the living God.
• 7:27
Isaiah cries concerning Israel. If the number of the children of
• 7:30
Israel are as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant who will
• 7:34
be saved, for he will finish the work and cut it short in
• 7:37
righteousness, because the Lord will make a short work upon the
• 7:40
earth. As Isaiah has said before,
• 7:44
unless the Lord of armies had left us a seed, we would have
• 7:47
become like Sodom and would have been made like Gomorrah.
• 7:51
What shall we say then? That the Gentiles who didn't
• 7:54
follow after righteousness attained to righteousness, even
• 7:58
the righteousness which is of faith.
• 8:00
But Israel following after a law of righteousness didn't arrive
• 8:04
at the law of righteousness. Why?
• 8:07
Because they didn't seek it by faith, but as it were by works
• 8:10
of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling
• 8:13
stone even as it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion, a
• 8:17
stumbling stone and a rock of offense.
• 8:20
And no one who believes in him will be disappointed.
