[upbeat music] I got, I got buttons to figure out. [laughs] I got faders happening. Don't even know what any of it- I found my documents... here we go.
0:18
All right. Hey, hey, hey, there's that thing. Hey, everybody. It's Full Spectrum Cycling, show 204, the recovery episode. Yeah. [laughs] Feeling good? I'm feel- feeling good. Feeling good. [laughs] Feeling Mortimer.
0:33
Looking- Feeling good, Louis. Looking good, Mortimer. Billy Ray. Billy Ray, well, whatever. Mortimer and, uh, that's the old dude. Yeah, from Trading Places. The old guy's Mortimer- Yeah... and whatever his name is.
0:46
Uh, hey, everybody. It's, uh, it's, it's March. It's in March now. It's March time. Stupid Smarch weather. Which, [laughs] which means that we get all the snow we used to get in December, in March now.
0:59
We're only two and a half inches down on precipitation- S- yeah... for the year. Thanks to last week. Thanks to the deluge of snow we've been getting. And while we're at it, Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone. Yeah. Hey.
1:10
Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Hey. Ah, sh- sh- hi. Sh- sh- sorry. Well, while you're listening to this, we're lunching over at the old, uh, Swinging Door likely. Ah, could be that.
1:20
It is traditionally- It's Justin Timberlake's birthday... traditionally Justin Timberlake's birthday. Oh, yeah, because we saw Sigmund Snopek over at Paddy's Pub, uh, nine in the morning. Yeah. Good on you, Sig. Yeah.
1:32
And it's nice to see Paddy's is open again. It is. That- I did not know that. Did I- I didn't know it either... did I re- you were... Were you there for Bob Revy's remembrance- [laughs]...
1:41
after he passed away and- I do believe so... drank, like, $300 worth of scotch? Uh, yes. Because I was try- I was trying to- Yes, yes... get an education in scotch, which I- Yes... didn't know much about.
1:50
It was, that was amazing to watch you do that. [laughs] And then, then, and then, well, after about the third one, then you wanted a little, uh, I don't know, solidarity and- Yeah. Well-...
2:03
and like, "Come on, guys, I'll, I'll, I'll... No, no, you guys have to try this one." Yeah. Boom, boom. So- Well, it was buy a snifter- Yeah, it was like-... for me and buy a snifter for everyone else to sniff.
2:11
[laughs] Yeah. And it was like, it's like, "Smell it. It's smoky. It's smoky. It's like sitting by the bonfire." Oh. "It's amazing. Just..." Oh, it was- Whoever the, whoever- It's terrible...
2:19
whoever the- No, it was good. [laughs] Whoever the bartender was knew his stuff, and it was like, well, everybody was, you know, drinking Jamesons or something- Yeah... which I think was Bob's drink.
2:27
And it's like, "But do you have any good scotch, then?" [laughs] "Oh, yes, we do." [laughs] Oh, yeah, and yeah, he was just waiting for something like that. Cripes, that's been a long time. I... It's been several years.
2:37
Oh, yeah, yeah. You know. In the- Could be-... decade-ish... could be closing in on the 10 spot. I don't know. Yeah. Whoa. I do know it's 25 years, uh, since Brad and, and, uh, Hit 100 for Brad the other day.
2:47
Right on, Brad. Gotta go over the hone, Hit 100 for Brad on his birthday. [laughs] Did he die? 25 years ago, yeah. Oh, bummer. I don't know Brad, so. Brad Astor, yeah, good guy. Local. Worked with him when we were Utes.
3:02
Yeah. And when we did this, this was the Ides of March, and it was my father's birthday on the Ides, on the Ides of March. That's today, then. Yes. Where are the Ides of March? Or yeah, two da- Two days ago... whatever.
3:13
Two days ago, but yeah. Yeah. Two da- So- Uh, speaking of- It was good stuff... speaking of two days ago, uh, Chewy, we posted a sh- a Chewy show. Mm-hmm. I recommend listening to this one.
3:22
There's some good stuff in there. There's some good stuff. Check it out. I saw that pop up on the face place. I missed it.
3:27
Talked, talked about Tony's salon chair, talked about my chairs, talked about getting all- Are they coming?... five chairs together into one. You'll have to listen. I have to listen now. Yeah. You'll have to listen.
3:35
Um- I love that man... forced listener show. [laughs] And also, the... I d- I don't think it was real long, but they have, um, curling with Busch Light, like, 30 packs and a stick on top of them, and they do curling.
3:47
That's sounds awesome. [laughs] What a... finally a good use for Busch, Busch Light. Busch Light, yeah, and, uh- It's a good use... Busch Light. Did I say Bud Light? I don't know. Whatever. Doesn't matter. Same, same.
3:56
It's Busch, Busch Light. [laughs] It is, actually. Well, Chewy's trying to figure out how to get a piece of the rink to do it [laughs] at the, at the hockey plaza where they play their stuff. So listen to the show.
4:06
Chewy's a funny guy. He, he sold his old Road Caster rig and bought a new one, and it does something this one doesn't do, and now I have to get a new one. Oh.
4:16
You'll, you'll hear it right at the beginning, make silly, silly Vox voice, you know, changing, "Gee, gee, gee, gee, gee, gee." Cool. Stuff. But it's worth the, it's worth the trade up. Probably not.
4:30
But anyhoo, um, so Chewy's show, it's on the site. Go check that out and learn what Spinner and Shannon and Chewy are up to in Decorah. Oh, Spinner too? Yeah. Decorah. Yeah, they're talking about all sorts of stuff.
4:45
Last time I saw that man, he tried to carry me over his shoulder. Like a continental soldier? Pretty much. [laughs] Oh, there was that, that, that, uh, the epic, uh,
4:55
Lund's body slam picture came up through the sources- You saw that? Saw that?... kinda recently and then, [laughs] uh, it's such a great- I, I like how often that actually shows up... it is such... Yeah, it, yeah.
5:06
I don't need it, I don't need to have it accessible all the time. I just like when it pops up and- One of those, one of those joy of the day things. Yep, it made me smile. Spinner's not- A lot [laughs]...
5:16
not a, not a, you know, lightweight human. That's for sure. No, he's a talented human and slamming- It'd be fun-... people on the ground seems fun. [laughs] You know what'd be fun? Him and Sam going at it.
5:27
What, Sam- Strong Man Sam... is he a wrestler? No, but it'd be fun to watch him- [laughs]... you know, a 300-pound dude against him, who has, you know, feats of strength all over everywhere, 'cause they're wrong.
5:40
[laughs] Those humans have way more God-given skill than 100 c- humans combined. Yeah, I do know that- It'd just be sick... I do know that, uh, I think he's still Luther's wrestling coach, uh, Jeff Ogara.
5:54
I think he wrestled at, like, 118 or 125 or something, and that... He'd give Spinner a pretty good run. I'll tell you what. [laughs] Is, is O- Ogara the guy who at Gnomefest the German woman kept wanting to wrestle?
6:09
Is that O'Gara? I was- I don't know.
6:11
That was- And then she just- That was, like, a decade ago I know she kept- I do not know [laughs] She kept fighting him and kept fighting him, and finally she went at him and he threw her to the ground.
6:20
And the next day someone came up to her and said, "You gotta leave." [laughs] Like, "You cannot be here doing this shit. This is not what this event's about." Oh, cut it out.
6:29
And they packed up- It's about all sorts of stuff like that She packed up with her friend and left, but yeah, she was- Sounds vaguely familiar. That was a rough one. Yeah.
6:38
And I think he also cooked, like, a pound of bacon in, I'm not exaggerating- Did he?... two pounds of butter. Ooh. It was gorgeous. Butter. It was gorgeous. [laughs] Speaking of that, Sam, we did a portion of a ride.
6:52
Oh, yeah. We, we did the side-by-side of the s- Frozen Snot. Yeah, yeah. I for- I forgot about Frozen Snot ride. That was actually a pretty good ride. Yeah. It's, it was, uh- Could've been more, but yeah...
7:02
it was like 70 motorcycles this year and- Mm-hmm... three, three bicycles. Yep. I'm actually gonna be sending those pictures. Weather was okay. I can't remember. Yeah. Yeah, it was decent.
7:13
I think it had- It was, it was-... it snowed the night before and- Yeah, and, and kinda iced up a bit, but it was thawing out as the day was progressing.
7:20
Oh, yeah, 'cause I mentioned to Sam, you'd, you know, "It's gonna be a little icy for your motorbike." He's like, "It's too icy for my motorbike. I'm taking my pedal bike."
7:27
[laughs] He did, yeah, he, he, he did do a recon w- in the- Yeah... in the vehicle to check it out and said, "Nah, if I had a crappy little bike, I'd do it."
7:33
Like, a lot of the Frozen Snot bikes were- They really- They had booty bike races at Elwoods. Yeah. They had, uh, you know, silliness ensues when, when, uh- Yeah, yeah. It was a- That's a fun time...
7:43
it was a g- It's an awful lot like doing a Steel Is Real, in my opinion. Yeah. You get sort of the same- Yeah... irreverence. 'Cause they don't make motorcycle frames out of aluminum, do they? Well, yeah, probably.
7:55
Carpet fiber even for race bikes. Oh, fuck that. [laughs] Sorry. It's funny when I listen to these shows when they get released how many times I say the F word. It's a fucking lot, man. Fucking O. What, f- fiber?
8:09
Carpet fiber. That too. [laughs] Uh, hey, how about this? Because we have a friend- Oh... with one of these things.
8:18
I just, I was scoping out the old fatbike.com site today and learned something that I didn't previously know is that Framed Bikes seems to be not being in business again anymore. Hmm, really? Hmm. Soonly.
8:33
I would imagine that they have a bunch of bikes, fat bikes still. So they were pretty decent bikes. If you want one, I bet you can get one- They were... cheap right now. But the whole...
8:42
I don't know what happened to the house, 'cause JK and I and Gomez actually went [laughs] out- With, with, [laughs] remember the murderer's row of, uh- Oh, they had every big head of every big animal you could possibly imagine...
8:53
[laughs] Oh, dude, it was like- Yeah, it was in their-... taxidermy boom... it was in their headquarters, and it was a good 300 feet long. I don't know. Yeah. Of, of- It like, like, like, like-... elks and such...
9:06
yeah, just like the, like the, uh, mane. Well, the dude that owned it was, he was- Well, I like Framed- It was crazy...
9:10
a lot less now after that Well, it was, but this, okay, so- Just, just as a hobbyist for the amount of hobby going on in your headquarters for bicycles. Yeah, it's like- Yeah.
9:22
[laughs] So at, at that, I think at that time the guy that owned it was a, he was a Swedish dude. Some, some Scandinavian type. Yeah, because they came in the room and I didn't know- Yeah... that was happening.
9:31
Yeah, it was, like, the, the main guy. But they had- [laughs]... they'd, they sold out in 2017,
9:37
so, uh, something must have happened betwixt now and then where they, uh, you know, every, a lot of retail stuff is going south. Yeah. But- That was a crazy, crazy, crazy trip...
9:47
um, their main thing was buying old stock from snowboard and ski companies and selling it online at- Hmm... you know, 50 cents on the dollar to you, 10 cents on the dollar to them or whatever. Right.
9:58
And when they got into making bikes, I thought that was pretty cool because they were really into it, and Framed did make some decent, affordable fat bikes that were not Mongoose' or, or- Walgooses...
10:10
what it, well, whatever, what's the, what's the Bikes Direct one? That one's kinda sketchy with the, you know- Yeah, it's very sketchy These were actually decent bikes.
10:16
They actually rode well and had, you know, well-thought-out stuff. So if you, if you see a, a sight h- hawking that- Yeah, Bill's been hawking- Bill-... his for a good couple years.
10:27
Oh, he's blown up several wheels, but other than that, that thing's- Well, he's a big dude... doing well for him. He's a big dude and- Yeah, and he rides-...
10:32
it's a big, he's got five w- inch wides And, and, and- And yeah, he's gonna blow up some wheels. And he rides every single- Oh. Every day. Yep. Good for him. Yeah, so, um- Bill's a good man...
10:41
we should actually alert him. Maybe he needs another set of wheels. Anyhow, so that's kinda sad to hear. Uh, we last week learned that Trek is not getting out of the fat bike business currently, which is nice.
10:53
That $4,000- So-... though for that aluminium bike- Yeah... with a carbon fork and bags, I mean, uh- It's specced, it's, you know- It's pretty pricey... it's specced pretty well.
11:04
It's got decent wheels and rims, and the tires are good, good tires. And the- Sure... components are good. If we- But what's the profit margin when it's all- That's-... made and assembled overseas?
11:14
That's what bugs the shit out of me. That's, uh, that's essentially what we would sell a similarly equipped bike for that was made in the United States of America.
11:20
Right, and, and helped employ Americans and, you know, Steven, et cetera. Some Americans, and one dog. One dog. [laughs] With a huge penis. Oh, my God, did you see the picture this morning on Facebook? No.
11:37
I bet every woman in the world went, "Ah." Because of Steve's dog? Steven and his dog. Oh. Oh, oh, God, yeah. [laughs] I did see that. Well, the, yeah, the doggy had the doggy eye.
11:51
It looked like it was stoned to me- Yeah... personally. It was like, "Oh, dude, really?" Uh, hey, guess what they... Oh, guess what? Oh. Guess what? Or, or, or, or, or, da, da, da. Uh, guess what we're...
12:02
[bell ringing] Uh, freaking hill right in the middle of the show. Top of the hill, middle of the show. Mm-hmm. It seems to work out like that You know, they- Look at that. Lemmy wrote- Bam...
12:12
Lemmy- And, and Lemmy is- There is And Lemmy is flipping you off. I didn't even put the- Right on the- I didn't even think about that... leading right into [laughs] what we're having for tonight's show beer.
12:22
So JK picked this one up, so you can tell people all about this. I don't know anything about it. I know- Well, it's A- Ale Asylum, which kind of surprised me. Mm-hmm. Right, and I saw that, and I was curious.
12:31
Is that- Yeah... who always makes a Motörhead beer? Matt Olson. Uh, they got the licensing apparently. That's Motörhead's Road Crew, folks. American pale ale, a five percenter. Which is, well- Mild... let's see.
12:43
Lemmy wrote- I don't think- "We are the road crew," as a loud and proud tribute to Motörhead's crew, and by proxy, all crew everywhere.
12:52
Having roadied himself for Jimi Hendrix, Lemmy knew all about the sterling service these touring warriors provide their families.
12:59
And, yes, he wrote it in 10 minutes on the loo because, quote, "It was the only quiet place in the building." I just love the life I lead. Another beer is what I need. Another gig, me. Uh, my ears bleed.
13:15
[laughs] We are the road crew. [laughs] I guess I should be singing that. Well- Well, that was exhausting. Yeah. Well, let's give it a swallow. Let's try it. I'm just trying to read. [laughs] 16 ounce can.
13:29
It's not bad at all. It isn't. It is an American pale ale packed full of hoppy citrus aromas, delivering a crisp, refreshing, superior taste to celebrate the spirit of the song and those who had inspired it.
13:41
Road Crew also contains- Very ambery... copious amounts of waaa. It's got some sort of caramely something, something. It's got an ambery taste to it. Ambery. Yeah, it's coming back. Ambery.
13:55
So Ale Asylum- Pretty interesting... brought to you by Brew Pipeline. Uh, I stopped at Seagull, uh, Liquor across from Rushmore down in the Bayview today,
14:07
'cause last time I was, I w- I was down there for, uh, Mitten Fest. Because I'm not gonna stand in a 70-person fucking line at Mitten Fest [laughs] to buy a beer.
14:17
I'm gonna go to the liquor store [laughs] and bring my own goddamn beer in there. Sorry, cracked the code everybody. No, it seems legit.
14:23
Um, [laughs] but when I went in there I noticed they had a really great selection of beer. Of, like, some obscures and, you know, I'm, dude, fucking Motör beer just sitting over there. And I was like, "How much is this?"
14:38
And he bring it up and it's like 10 bucks for a four-pack. I'm like, "B- yeah." 16 ouncers. Yeah.
14:44
And I did, and it, it also saved me probably about a half hour of [clicks tongue] okay, well, what didn't we have and who [laughs] doesn't like what, and what is gonna be da, da, da, what's clever, what's not?
14:55
I don't know. I was- I'm like, dude, yeah. Yeah. And, and my mom was out in the car. [laughs] So [laughs] there was that too. Oh, Mommy. Oh, Mama.
15:04
[laughs] I was actually- Can you wait while I go [laughs] into the liquor store so I can get beer for the podcast?
15:08
[laughs] I was actually thinking that my, my, my pre-Motörhead Road Crew beer beer was, uh, Ham's, but it's not.
15:15
[laughs] So that would be why it's a little different, but that's- I thought I saw an orange- So my, our secondary beer is a Surly something, something. You got Logic Bomb. Logic Bomb. Yep. That's it. That's a good one.
15:27
Yeah. That's a good one. I like that one a lot. Yeah. So that's the- Yeah, yeah... yeah, that's the pre-beer beer. So yeah, I do- But today's beer, brought to you by Motörhead, is, uh, Road Crew by, uh, yeah, see.
15:36
Yeah, yeah. That's what it is. Well, I'm, I'm impressed.
15:41
We were gonna have our good buddy Dave Schlabowski on the show today, but he came by and borrowed some podcast stuff, 'cause he's gonna do some video stuff, and then said, "You know what?
15:50
It's gonna snow, so I'm gonna leave, so I'm not gonna be on the show." Well, very well. But, um, he was up there where they had the Fat Bike Birkey last weekend. Uh-huh. I, I don't...
16:02
If you guys, do you guys know who Jordan Wakely is? He's- The name is so damn familiar... he's a per- perennially fast, he races canoes and kayaks and bikes and stuff, and he's like a lumberjack, and he's about
16:15
6'8" and, you know, just Paul Bunyan-ish looking, and is very obviously fast on a bike. He won, he won the, the, the Fat Bike Birkey this year. Yes. That is awesome. Did not get a whole lot more reporting from that.
16:28
You might find something on fatbike.com about it at some point. I don't know. I think- Right the hell on... I think somebody made a video. Who knows? Vi- videos- The bike, the m-... are the thing now.
16:36
Podcasts are, you know, kind of a fad that's [laughs] probably done. Yeah, the, uh- Wait, wait. I, I read, I, I s- I didn't read it, 'cause I'm like bullshit. It might've been Men's Magazine or something.
16:47
It's like- Maxim?... it's like, "Are fat bikes having- Only for the pictures... a renaissance?" I'm like, "Fuck you." Fat bikes have not ever gone out of fashion. They don't need to have a renaissance.
17:00
You people just need to get your heads out of your ass. I had a renaissance of fat bikes today when I saw, 12 years ago, your very bike in a photo from the internet. 12 years ago. Oh. Fatburger? Yeah. Nice.
17:12
[laughs] I don't, I, I, I doubt it has many of the same parts on it, but- I have- Probably not... it was shiny and, and new. I, I, [laughs] I was at my mom's house yesterday, and she's like, "Oh," and she had some, uh,
17:30
newspaper clippings, and I was like, oh my God, this is, like, cliche. [laughs] She's, like, coming up, "Look," and I'm like, "Oh my God. No, I didn't, I don't need...
17:37
No need to cut that out of the paper and let me know." [laughs] Everything is digital. But it was a, [laughs] a copy of when you were on the front of the sports page. Oh.
17:50
Uh- Yeah, I've been, I've been in a few newspapers. But I think it was a journal. The journal one where it was, like, a shot, like, from the gr- [laughs] Yeah. I- And also she's like, "And here's your friend Greg Smith.
18:00
I have this cut out." [laughs] So I have it back at home. I couldn't- I totally, I for- I, uh-... totally flaked about it until you mentioned it... I couldn't get them to call me Sven Hammer either instead of Greg, so.
18:09
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Yeah. W- we had to, we met at Bradford Beach for that one. It's not- Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, we've done some stuff. Dave Schlabowski has my favorite shot of me ever. We did one down at Clodey,
18:20
and it was at sunrise, so we were down there. It was me, Zito, Kenny Nielsen, and, and Dave....
18:26
uh, ones.com, and it was, we had to get up at 4:00 in the morning or something to be there for the sunrise, in the cold, in the beautiful snow. It was awesome. So- Those are some gorgeous pictures. I've seen those. Yeah.
18:38
So thank, thanks Dave. I'll take some snaps, I'll take some snaps of that when I get home. That, that's what you get for being a, a- an AP photographer or whatever.
18:44
Dave was a professional for many years, including for the Packers, I believe. Back when you shot film, I think they called it- Film... film. I believe it is, regardless. So all that dinging is me- Oh, that's-...
18:54
sending you stuff. Oh, you're sending me photos. Yeah. Yes. I, I was wondering who... And, and I was like, "Wow." Ding, ding goes the- It went up in the world and it came back down really quick [laughs].
19:02
It came, it came to my watch just that quickly. Playing tennis, doing the super lob, boom [laughs]. [laughs] Uh, yeah, so, so it's been, you know, s- it's almost... Fat bike racing season's almost over already.
19:14
I think the 28 Below just happened last week. There's not much going past, but there is a calendar over there. Again, for the fatbike.com folks, you, you know where that's at. Here's something coming up in June. June?
19:26
Wisconsin Bike Week. Ah. June 3rd to the 10th this year. That's every week in Wisconsin. Why, why is there a special date? You know, because you can get pancakes on the side of the trail usually. [sighs] Coffee. Okay.
19:39
Pancakes. Sure. Pancakes. You know what I can do at home? Pancakes. No, no, no, not pancakes. Pancakes. Did you ever see Cabin Fever? Maybe not. Oh, when there's a crazy kid on the porch.
19:52
There'll be a link in the show notes- Okay... for this, because it is epic. It is... Yeah, he comes up- I have a griddle on my new stove. Oh, man. I can make pancakes at home. All right.
20:01
I got one that goes over the two burners. You just- Mine's the middle burner... stick it on there. Yeah. Also, I just bought- As you were. I, I, you know I'm gonna be looking this up, so...
20:08
three different kinds of pancake mix. Oh. Because you make pancake mix at home, and you don't put all the- You ain't got no-... good stuff like whey protein in it and stuff. Mm. At least I don't.
20:15
You ain't got no pancake mix. There's three things that go in pancakes. Pan, cake, and, and eggs. Heat. And heat. Yeah. There you go. But yes, apparently there's many good pre-made pancake mixes.
20:26
I am going to audition three of them and decide which one is the most- Let me know what you think- Yeah... 'cause I prefer scratch. Well, I usually- Or Bisquick... I usually have the...
20:34
I haven't had Bisquick in the house in years. Bisquick pancakes are gut bombs and they're great. Don't they make really, really good cornbread with Bisquick as well? And, um, [smacks lips] strawberry shortcake.
20:46
Which would be fine with the shortcake portion of the thing. Yeah. No strawberries for this cat. Don't like strawberries or can't eat them? Either way. I'll take one or the other [laughs]- Really?...
20:56
'cause I ain't eating them. Mm. No strawberries. Love me a mean strawberry cake. Uh, I'm gonna mention this, 'cause I mentioned it last week.
21:03
Dave, uh, alluded to the fact that there aren't actually any bikes in our eBay listing yet.
21:08
But there is a, a badass, uh, Surly Wednesday frame you could probably make an offer on and we'll walk away with that sucker pretty inexpensively, 'cause- What size is that?
21:17
The one that's on there is a medium, but I could also make a large. I could build one. I mean, I could disassemble [laughs] one in the shop. We built up some custom ones, and I just- No one's biting.
21:27
Well, because there was no freaking snow until now, and now it's too late, I think. I don't know.
21:31
Frankly, I think the Wednesday personally is my favorite Surly fat bike, just 'cause it's a 170 platform, and I do appreciate the 20 millimeter narrower Q factor on the thing. I, I'm not a huge person and, well, huger.
21:46
Tony, Tony lost weight and I gained weight, so. I'm so excited. So that happened. But, uh- And I'm staying right in the middle. I'm staying right, just that hair... Ooh. Maybe it's all- Rubble there...
21:57
maybe it's all the glue you eat according to your shirt. Yeah [laughs]. [laughs] That's- What happens... is it Elmer's glue? That's [clears throat]... You could... That's actually- Well, dude, I mean, horrible.
22:08
Oh, is it all in the horse apple? Yeah. Well. That's actually food. Well. It's a food group. Dude. White. Elmer's? It's white. It's the white food group. Yeah, look at you on the top shelf. [laughs] Jesus.
22:16
[laughs] Christ. Hey. Hey, you j- you can't- Oh, yeah. Do you guys do Johnny Walker Blue? [laughs] No. No, I drink myself some Thunderbird and Everclear. Yeah. That's what got you so fat.
22:30
I cook my bacon in ba- in fat back, because butter is too lean. [laughs] Fair enough. Be some serious bacon. So at, at least going forward, I am gonna try and add some things every week to the eBay listing.
22:45
So some- we sold some stuff this week, so I gotta put more stuff on there. You're not only gonna find bike crap on there, either. You might find camera crap, you might find audio gear crap.
22:54
You might find a podcasting rig there of things that- Right, sounds like you wanna upgrade... so it's [laughs]. Nah, it's... It would cost 300 bucks to upgrade probably, and I don't know if it's worth a fancy thing.
23:04
What hap- well, you'll hear it on the Chewie show. What had, what, what had happened was, uh, somebody that's doing live streaming hockey stuff wanted it, and he sold it to him and said, "Well, why not?" Right. So,
23:17
so that's what happened there. I like how Chewie thinks. He thinks well. Yeah, he thinks well. Except for electric bikes, 'cause, yeah. I think he was alluding to something like... He listens to the show.
23:27
You just listen to the show, Tony Berger. I listen to the show. You listen to the show, 'cause I think you're mentioned on the show. Really? Yeah, pretty sure.
23:33
I'm, I'm this close to pulling the trigger on the electric cargo bike. Hmm. And do you have a suitor lined up? Is it gonna be a bullet type-y deal, or is it gonna be a- No, it's a rear cargo.
23:50
It's a, it's- Is it a Juiced or is it a Surly? No, it, Lectric. Lectric Brand. Oh, actually, Lectric Brand. Lectric Brand. Hmm. Their cargo bike holds 450 pounds. Of Daniel. Well, of Daniel as far as I'm looking at him.
24:05
Like, taking him to school- That would be two of me with groceries [laughs]... taking him to school. [laughs] It's got a 50 mile pedal assist range, which will be- I just did the math...
24:13
10 for me, 'cause I'm just gonna throttle it. How many Jaws is it long? [laughs] Um, it's not... It's a 20 inch, 20 by three tire. I've been very- It, it-...
24:25
much thinking that the 20 by three or four inch tire is the way to go on an electric scooter- I mean-... slash semi motorcycle thing. For a vehicle that can carry 450 pounds? Does it fold? No.
24:38
Well, good, because if it did, it wouldn't carry [laughs] 450 pounds. Right. Exactly. No, no, no. It's a, it's a small scale cargo bike
24:46
I gotta see this silly thing Expedition is what they're calling it My- another buddy of mine was looking at a Juiced.
24:53
It's the one that has, like, the motorcycle seat and the scooter thing, and it has two batteries, and it's- Yeah, that's really cool... like, a 100 mile range. Yep. What's the price point? 22 right now. It's on sale.
25:03
Yeah. Well, 25 with the extra battery, I think. And you're, you can carry a passenger. You can't carry 450 pounds [laughs] of cargo. No, you can't. Well, a big ass passenger.
25:14
Well, that's exactly- Or a very big passenger. Oh, you know what you could get? A trike too. Once you get a- Uh, my friend Leslie's getting a trike. The XP trike? Yeah. Are you guys... What are...
25:23
Why are we not selling... I don't think we can sell these things anymore. No, I think they're, they're... Yeah. Consumer direct. But I'm not saying that they're not good things, because try- Right...
25:32
shipping a freaking electric bike in a normal bike box after you do a conversion, and if it makes it to the other end whole I would be surprised 'cause- These things are well thought out They, they've gotta be well-packed too, because I've seen the ones that, uh, Milwaukee By Bike got last year.
25:48
The boxes were six inches thick of plate glass and steel. Did they get electrics or what did they get? Yeah, they rented out some- Elec- electric or random... some white things. They were white. Okay.
26:00
These things are really- They had, but they did have the worst Sea Frost in the world, because they would go br- bend. Bend it. I mean, with... They have 180 millimeter hydraulic brakes.
26:13
Um, the, the price point on this thing's insane. It's, it's hard to say no. New cargo e-bike. It's right here. Yep. I'm push, I'm pushing the thing. I ought to see this. Look at this thing.
26:22
It's- Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess I would like to have a place like maybe our sh- You could actually add another battery to that one too. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
26:32
Um, I'd like to have a place like our shop where somebody could actually test ride the freaking thing, 'cause what if you get it- Right... and you don't like it? Right.
26:37
Supposedly they'll take it back, but I can't imagine they make that easy. This one has a push forward kickstand too, so you can, like, get on it, lift it off to go. I mean, it's a great, great...
26:49
I mean, the design is well thought out. Everything about this electric, goofy, tiny cargo bike- Oh, yeah... in my eyes makes sense. 1,699 with dual battery. Yeah, with dual battery. It's 100 mile range. 1,399 with...
27:03
Well, you know. And they're offering bonus for, like, like, extra accessories for, like, a padded seat and stuff for- I see that... the kiddo. Well, you get one and we'll check it out.
27:15
We're also, uh, in the very late stages of getting the CYC system for Steven's Bullet, so we'll have some- Oh, nice... photos of that coming up pretty soon. Like I like to say always sometimes, oops, we did it again.
27:31
[laughs] Everybody, thank you very much for listening. I imagine we'll have another show next week, unless something happens that we don't, but- By cracky... that last, last snow event. Yeah. Snowpocalypse 3.
27:45
When's that coming? Is that- That's when Clubber Lang comes in, 'cause it's like Rocky. Oh, let's just make sure that we're- [laughs] Ready... hunkered down, and then we get...
27:54
It, you know, the, the problem with the snow this month has been it's so freaking wet that s- you can't really ride it. S- it's hard to hack snow. Yeah. Yeah. It really is. I mean, it was brutal. I li- It's my exercise.
28:06
I like shoveling. I, I don't mind shoveling either, but it was heavy. When I told my, my, my wife and my son I lo- when I hurt myself recently, uh, that i- well, shoveling was- I laughed...
28:18
not gonna happen, uh, they're like, "Oh." I'm like, "But I love shoveling snow," and they're like, "What?" I'm like, "Yeah." I love shoveling snow. I like shoveling snow. It's a free workout.
28:27
Couldn't give a shit, but- Oh, it's great... oh, I had to shovel when, when I had broken clavicle and rib.
28:34
I was still, like, a month into the mend, but I had to go out, and it was one of those, like, e- Oh, that had to hurt like hell... it was... Well, well, I had the, I had the, uh, pain relievering cocktail- Oh, okay.
28:47
Okay... ready, and it was like, okay, let's see. We'll drop this now. [laughs] Okay, now give me- Wait 20 minutes. Yeah... 15 minutes and then I gotta start it, and then, okay, by the time it's going, all right.
28:59
N- oh, yeah, I'm feeling no pain. I can keep going for another half hour, and by that time, okay, go back inside. You're good. And then it's- Recover... knock the hell up, and then- Recover, yeah...
29:08
well, waking up was like, aah. Yeah. Who came in here and like Cathy Bates me? [laughs] Fricking what? Totally. All right. And then, well, well- We did it. You know what- That was like, that was extended play.
29:20
That was penalty time... you know what I like to call that? That, that was like bonus edition right there. Yeah. That was- Yeah. Ex- ex- You, you got, you, you got two extra minutes out of us.
29:26
Although we may have started late, so we might have just given you that two minutes back. But anyway. And with the uh's and um's and mm's. I don't take those out, so. That's what I'm saying.
29:34
Otherwise our show- It would actually be-... would be like- Blah... or like 15 minutes. [burps] Whoa. I'm pretty sure we'll be here next week. [laughs] Thank you, uh, and come again. Pancakes. Come again.
29:46
