- 1:09Speaker 1: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank,
- 1:12Speaker 1: a lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 1:15Speaker 1: and sure they definitely can be, but understanding of professional's
- 1:19Speaker 1: routine shows us how they achieve their success little by little,
- 1:22Speaker 1: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It might seem boring to save, plan and make calculated
- 1:29Speaker 1: decisions with your bank, but keeping your money boring is
- 1:33Speaker 1: what helps you live or more happily fulfilled life. P
- 1:36Speaker 1: and C Bank Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly
- 1:41Speaker 1: Boring since eighteen sixty five is a service mark of
- 1:44Speaker 1: the PNC Financial Service Group, Inc. P and C Bank
- 1:47Speaker 1: National Association Member FDIC. All right, so this is the question,
- 1:53Speaker 1: This is the question you gotta figure out. I can't
- 1:55Speaker 1: answer it, but only you can. And Magan, maybe they
- 1:58Speaker 1: can put this in the chat. Put this in the chat,
- 2:00Speaker 1: like what type of investor are you? So the three
- 2:02Speaker 1: types are going to talk about, and the fourth one
- 2:04Speaker 1: I'm going to give to you. So there's scalpers, there's
- 2:06Speaker 1: day traders, and there's swing traders. And so if you
- 2:08Speaker 1: can't read it, I'll read it to you. It says
- 2:09Speaker 1: scalping entails the buying and selling of a financial instrument.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Usually a stock future, a currency, commodity, or even an
- 2:17Speaker 1: option with the goal of producing a small gain or
- 2:20Speaker 1: could be a large game on that position. Scalpers attempt
- 2:23Speaker 1: to profit from short term price movements. So really quick, now,
- 2:26Speaker 1: this is the most important part for scalping. The time
- 2:29Speaker 1: frame that scalpers trade whole positions ranges from seconds to minutes.
- 2:35Speaker 1: And so when I told you to figure out what
- 2:37Speaker 1: kind of trader you are, a scalper is somebody who's
- 2:39Speaker 1: in front of their computer and they're doing this by
- 2:42Speaker 1: the second. I mean every second counts when you're scalping,
- 2:45Speaker 1: because movement happens, volatility happens, and so people who do
- 2:49Speaker 1: this are I mean, I always like to say this
- 2:52Speaker 1: is strictly for livmen, not for freshmen, And since we
- 2:55Speaker 1: got a lot of freshmen in here, I wouldn't advise
- 2:57Speaker 1: this yet. If you haven't traded before, I wouldn't advise
- 2:59Speaker 1: you to start scalping right away. Yes, you can make
- 3:02Speaker 1: money in it. Is it violatile? Is it risky? Yes?
- 3:06Speaker 1: And so we want to take that into account. Now,
- 3:08Speaker 1: there are day traders, and that sounds pretty self expansory, right,
- 3:12Speaker 1: So the strategy for day training involves taking positions into
- 3:15Speaker 1: financial assets such as stocks, futures, currencies, same pretty much thing.
- 3:18Speaker 1: But the day traders tend to hold the abundance of
- 3:20Speaker 1: trades over minutes and hours, and so my scalpers we're
- 3:24Speaker 1: talking about seconds and minutes. My day traders, we're talking
- 3:27Speaker 1: about minutes and hours as a maneuver their transitions throughout
- 3:31Speaker 1: the changing market conditions and sign out Ian talks about
- 3:34Speaker 1: this a lot when we're talking about day trading, especially
- 3:37Speaker 1: in the futures market, where it's hey, we don't we
- 3:40Speaker 1: trade the open and we trade the close, right, so
- 3:42Speaker 1: it's between nine thirty to ten thirty, and it's between
- 3:45Speaker 1: three o'clock to four o'clock. Why momentum shifts in the morning,
- 3:49Speaker 1: momentum starts to shift again in the evening, and then
- 3:52Speaker 1: during the day you don't see it as much movement.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And if you've watched any chart, if you even if
- 3:57Speaker 1: you watch the NBC, you know as soon as it
- 4:00Speaker 1: hits nine thirty, you'll start seeing colors flash and it'll
- 4:03Speaker 1: be ready to be green, to be ready to be green.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You're trying to figure out what's going on. Trades are happening,
- 4:08Speaker 1: and so there's a lot of flow that's moving in
- 4:10Speaker 1: it during those times, and so day traders they capitalize
- 4:13Speaker 1: on that time movement. Now, and it seems like we
- 4:16Speaker 1: got a lot of these people in the chat, so
- 4:17Speaker 1: shout out to everybody that's in the chat. We got
- 4:20Speaker 1: swing traders. So unlike scalpers and no knock to them,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and unlike day traders, shout out to y'all. All right,
- 4:27Speaker 1: swing traders hold their positions for longer time periods. This
- 4:30Speaker 1: can be for several days, weeks, even months, and is
- 4:33Speaker 1: dependent on the asset, the trend in other existing positions
- 4:36Speaker 1: of that swing trade. And so swing traders are a
- 4:39Speaker 1: little bit more more discipline, more patient, and are looking
- 4:44Speaker 1: to have returns not immediately but over a course a
- 4:48Speaker 1: period of time that is a lot longer. So we're
- 4:49Speaker 1: talking about several days, weeks, and months. Now. I didn't
- 4:52Speaker 1: put this one in here, but the fourth one would
- 4:54Speaker 1: be an investor. You're right, you're the You are an investor.
- 4:58Speaker 1: That's your type of investment, right. You are an investor,
- 5:01Speaker 1: and that means that's your long term right, So you're
- 5:04Speaker 1: looking at holding positions from anywhere from two to five
- 5:09Speaker 1: to ten to twenty thirty years. So we want to
- 5:13Speaker 1: make sure if we're going to be involved in trading,
- 5:17Speaker 1: we figure out what is our palate for trading. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: will personally tell you I don't have the stomach for scalping.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I don't have the time for it. I got too
- 5:25Speaker 1: many calls, I got too many meetings. I wouldn't succeed
- 5:28Speaker 1: at scalping right day trading again, I'm traveling a lot,
- 5:33Speaker 1: moving around a lot. When I was at work, it
- 5:35Speaker 1: was tough. I got kids, I'm trying to teach them
- 5:37Speaker 1: how to skip and hop and hula hoop, and it
- 5:42Speaker 1: was too much. Right, I can't concentrate on it. Swing trading.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I was like, okay, I can give that a try.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You know what, I need more time than a week, right,
- 5:50Speaker 1: especially how I like to do what I like to
- 5:52Speaker 1: do my research, take my time, make the investment, and
- 5:56Speaker 1: watch it flourish. And I'm pretty good at watching my flourish.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And we'll come back to that. I feel like that
- 6:03Speaker 1: when I said I'm coming back to that, We're gonna
- 6:04Speaker 1: come back to that, though. I'm gonna show you how
- 6:06Speaker 1: they flourish, all right, So figure out who you are
- 6:08Speaker 1: before you treat.
- 6:18Speaker 2: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 6:22Speaker 2: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 6:26Speaker 2: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 6:30Speaker 2: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 6:34Speaker 2: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 6:38Speaker 2: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 6:41Speaker 2: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 6:46Speaker 2: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 6:50Speaker 2: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 6:53Speaker 2: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 6:57Speaker 2: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 7:01Speaker 2: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 7:05Speaker 2: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 7:13Speaker 2: border and families will be protected. Sponsored by the United
- 7:17Speaker 2: States Department of Homeland Security,
