- 1:51SPEAKER_00: I know we feel like turning around.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I feel sometimes feel like giving up.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Listen, I heard somebody say, you know, I'm in it for the long haul.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: This is not a hundred-yard dash.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: It's a marathon.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: We're still in the race.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: That's why we gotta keep on going.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: We gotta keep on going.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Now keep on going.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Sometimes things get kind of tight and money get funny.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And look like your back is against the wall.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: But it says, don't be weary and doing well or well doing.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: For there's a season and due season.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: You know, we shall weep if we faint not.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: That's the whole point of it.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Can't give up now.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Lee Williams and the spiritual QCs, they says, can't give up now.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Thank God for you.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Thank God for you all.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: You know, in Galatians 6 and 22, it says, Thus did Noah according to all that God had commanded him.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: So did he.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: God had not called us merely to begin an assignment, but he called us to remain faithful and carrying it out.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: We must not allow weariness, discouragement, opposition, are delayed results to make us abandon what God has entrusted us with.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: You know, I I've learned down through the years, starting is easy.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: You know, everybody can start up something.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: But the main thing is to finish what God started.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: He that begun a good work in you will finish to the day of Jesus Christ.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: He don't want us to stop in the middle, halfway through.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: When somebody starts a new job, they're excited.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: When somebody buys a new house, they're excited.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: When somebody gets married, they're excited.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: And when somebody begins a new ministry, they're excited.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: But after a while, after a while, that's another message.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: After a while, something happens.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: What happens?
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: The excitement begins to wear off.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Had that great big old wedding.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Everybody was decked out.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Some people even bring the dogs and the cats to the wedding.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: And they dress them up.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Lord have mercy, Jesus.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: But then after a while, when the trials start coming, tests start coming, the babies start coming, the money getting funny, and that's where the real tests come in.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Sightning begins to wear off.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Got that new car and it's all shining.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: You got it out there, praise God.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: You stay in the car more than you stay in the house.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Then when the the car, a couple months of the car payment come, now you're scratching your head.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Lord, because you you you bit off more than what you could chew.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: And that happens a lot.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I was talking about responsibilities become greater, the challenges become more difficult, the very thing that was excited about becomes something they struggle to continue.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Because starting something is one thing, but finishing what you started is another.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: I've seen many people start out doing good, start out shouting, giving God praise, shouting out, loving everybody, starting out loving the pastor, loving the ministry, and loving this and loving that.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: And soon, and very soon, when something don't go their way, they ready to book up.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Lord have mercy.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: You know, a man decided he was going to get in shape, right?
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: He bought a brand new treadmill, exercise clothes, sneakers.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: He done bought one of them Apple Fitness watches.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: His wife asked him a month later, how your exercising program going?
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: He said, Wonderful.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: I got everything I need.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: She asked, How many times have you used the treadmill?
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: He said, Well, right now I'm using it to hang my clothes.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, he had the equipment, but he had abandoned the assignment.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And sometimes believers do the same thing spiritually.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: We start praying but stop when the answer doesn't come quickly.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: We start serving but stop when nobody appreciates us.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: We start witnessing but stop when people reject the message.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: We start doing good, but but become discouraged when the results are not visible.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, hallelujah.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: That hits me sometimes.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: That one never really gets me.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you want to see progress, you want to see moving, you want to see this going and that going, and and look like it's just slow and not taking it's taking too much time.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: But we got to realize things are in God's hand.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Except the Lord build a house.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: The labels in vain.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: We just have to do our part.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we're not doing our part and we're blaming it on somebody else.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Lord help us.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Let us not be weary and well doing.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Paul understood that doing good can become tiring.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: He understood that serving God requires endurance.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: And he understood that sometimes the temptation to quit becomes stronger just when you need to remain faithful.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: But he gives us a promise.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: The Lord tells us a promise.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: He used Paul to tell us a promise.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: For in due season, you should weep if you faint not.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Paul didn't say that we are never become tired.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: He didn't tell us not to become so discouraged that we give up doing good.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between needing rest and abandoning your responsibility.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between being weary and surrendering your faith.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between waiting for the harvest and walking away from the field.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Are you with me?
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Let's look at Noah.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: God gave Noah an assignment that required faith, patience, obedience, and perseverance.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: He had to build an ark before the flood came.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: He had to prepare for something he had not seen.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: He had to continue until the work was completed.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Noah could not afford to abandon his assignment halfway through.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And neither should we abandon what God had called us to do.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: In Genesis 6 and 5, and God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of thought of his heart was only evil continuously.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: The world has become corrupt.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Violence and wickedness fill the earth, just like it is today.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: But there was one man who stood out.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: And that's what God wants us to do today.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Stand out.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Stand out, be different, make a difference.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: Stand for righteousness.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: John P.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Keith, stand for holiness.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: Stand up.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And keep on going.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: I love this.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: The Bible said Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: These are the generations of Noah.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Noah was a just man, perfect in his generation, and Noah walked with God.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: He started out doing good.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: He didn't end up too good.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: He got drunk from the vineyard of his grapes.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: Lord have mercy.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: And then had a sexual relationship with his daughters.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: He found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: But we got to finish it up.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: Ark was not Noah's idea.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: It was God's instruction given to him.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: The Bible didn't tell us how many years Noah spent constructing the Ark.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: But it makes it clear that he f he is faithful and carried out his command.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Thank God for that.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: But it's not how you start off how you finish.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: You started good, but it didn't finish good.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: And we got to we got to continue going on.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: We got to continue to run this race that's set before us with patience and don't give up.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: That's the main thing.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: So don't abandon your assignment because others are doing wrong.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Noah lived in a corrupt generation.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: But at that time he continued walking with God.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: He did not allow the conduct of others to determine his own obedience.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: One of the greatest temptations today is to follow the crowd.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: You know, you get caught up with the crowd.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: When others compromise, we're tempted to do the same thing.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: When other people stop praying, we're tempted to stop doing the same thing.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: When others lose interest in serving God, we may begin to lose interest ourselves.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: But God has not called us to follow the crowd.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: So it messes up a lot of young men, young ladies, following the crowd just because they smoking don't mean you gotta smoke.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Because they lying and cheating and cursing don't mean you have to do that.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Bible tells us, praise God, be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable of God, which is a reasonable service.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: And then Romans 12, 21, be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Stick with God.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Stick with your good God.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Evil gonna prevail.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: But I serve a God and He's a good God.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: I'm sticking with the good, not going with the bad.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: David, uh Daniel was living in Babylon where he faced pressure and compromise.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: His devotion to God.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: Well he faced pressure and compromise and devotion to God.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: He faced that.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: But he didn't give in to that pressure.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: And that tenth verse of the sixth chapter of Daniel.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house, and windows being opened in the chambers toward Jerusalem.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: He knelt down, knelt upon his knees three times a day, prayed, gave thanks to God before God, and he did after he did after time.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: David did not allow the king decree to stop the prayer life.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: He made a decree.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: Nobody bowed down to any other God.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Lord Jesus.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: But Daniel said, No, you're not gonna stop me from praying to my God.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: He opened the window so everybody can see.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Don't don't don't abandon your assignment because others have abandoned theirs.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Are you listening to me this morning?
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: If others stop praying, you keep praying.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: If others stop serving, you keep serving.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: You know they ain't doing nothing.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Why should I do anything?
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: No.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna work.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: While it's day, nighttime's coming, no man can work.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: I'm keeping my eyes on what God has called me to do.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: Get my eyes off of everybody else.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: And do my assignment.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: God blesses people who are faithful and dedicated to the work in the ministry.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: And keep their eyes off of other folk.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: You know, I I had to learn that.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Years ago when I started out, you know, sometime used to get very, very discouraged because uh see people slacking and this one do it, and that and that.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: God told me to put me inside to listen.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Do the do it too.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Do what I call you to do and leave everybody else alone.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: They have to give an account to God for themselves.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: That picked me up.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: So I can go home and rest now because I did my assignment.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to do my assignment.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: Oh God, thank you, Jesus.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Don't let somebody else's unfaithfulness become an excuse for yours.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment because you don't understand everything.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna understand everything, no.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Because if God told us about everything, we'll be quite quick.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: Because in life, you gotta go through three different things.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: You gotta go through the good, which is easy, and go through the bad, which is hard, and then go through the really ugly stuff.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: And when God showed you all that ahead of time, you would abandon the post, but he said, Listen, walk with me day by day.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: And the 11th chapter of Hebrews is verse 7.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: By faith, Noah, being one of the things not seen yet, moved with fear, prepared in the ark of the saving of his house, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness is by faith.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Things not seen yet.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: No had not seen the coming flood, but he believed what God has spoken.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: He did not demand that God show him the entire future before he began to obey.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Sometimes God gives us an assignment without explaining every detail.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: He tells us to go, but does not show us everything we would encounter.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: He tells us to serve, but not reveal every challenge we face.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Tell us to trust him, even when the outcome is uncertain.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: And Hebrews 11 and 8, by faith, Abraham, we were called to go out into the place where he should, after receiving inheritance, obeyed and went out, not knowing where he went.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Remember Peter and Luke 5 and 5.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: And Simon answered and said to him, Master, we have toiled all night, have taken nothing.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Nevertheless, at that word, I'm gonna let down the net.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Peter had already worked all night.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: He had caught nothing.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: But when Jesus gave the instruction, Peter obeyed.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: You don't have to understand everything to obey God.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: To obey what God have clearly revealed.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Faith is not knowing everything that will happen.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Faith is trusting the one who have called you.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment because can uh because you cannot see results.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: No kept on cutting the wood, preparing the material, following the measurements, doing the work.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: The flood hadn't arrived.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: But the assignment is still in progress.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you can work faithful for a long time without seeing the results you hope for.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Praying for your family.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: But don't look like nothing changed.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: Teaching the word, but some people still seem spiritually immature.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Reaching out for soul, but many have not responded.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Doing good, but nobody seemed to notice.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: The enemy wants to conve convince you that your labor is wasted.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: But be ye steadfast, unmovable.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Always abiding in the work of the Lord, for as much you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: These scriptures encourage your heart.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Remember Joseph?
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Joseph received a dream concerning his future.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: But before those dreams were fulfilled, he experienced betrayal, slavery, false across, imprisonment.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Yet God was with Joseph through those difficult years.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: I love that scripture in Genesis 15 and 20.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: He uh uh uh Joseph said, As as but as for you, you thought it evil against me, but God meant it for good to bring me to a pass, to bring to pass as in that day to save much people alive.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: All what he went through was to help the nation of Israel when the Phantom came.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Saved his brothers.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: Don't measure the value of your obedience only by immediate results.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Some seeds take longer to grow than others.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Some prayers require patience waiting, and some ministries develop slowly.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Don't walk away from the field just because you don't see the harvest yet.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Put that down.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment when opposition comes.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Opposition will come.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: Came to Nehemiah.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Nehemiah received a burden to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, but the people was working, opposition arose.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Sambalik and Grisham tried to distract Nehemiah from his work.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: But I love that scripture.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: That I cannot come down.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Why should the work cease?
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Whence I leave it and come down to you, he says.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Doing a great work.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Second Corinthians 4, 8, and 9.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: We'll trouble on every side, yes.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: But yet not distress.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: Perplexed, but not in despair.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Persecuted, but not forsaken.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Cast down, but not destroyed.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Paul faced opposition, but he continued his ministry.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: It's a great assignment.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: Everybody's not gonna understand your assignment.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: Everybody will not support your assignment.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Everybody will not celebrate your assignment.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: But don't allow opposition to make you abandon what God called you to do.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: You cannot come down every time somebody calls your name.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment because you become weary.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Are you listening here this morning?

- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Lord.

- 25:35SPEAKER_00: Somebody else may benefit from your faithfulness.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: Coming in now.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment because your season.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Don't abandon your assignment before your season is complete.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Gotta finish.
