- 0:09Speaker 3: So those aren't sunglasses.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Those are decorative squash that Uncle Todd grew. You don't
- 0:15Speaker 2: eat those. They're just pleasant to look at. They're really pretty.
- 0:19Speaker 3: They were the table decorations.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, so I of course had to play with
- 0:23Speaker 2: the table decorations. We had a lovely dinner at Uncle
- 0:26Speaker 2: Todd's X ninety six dot com slash live is what
- 0:30Speaker 2: we're talking about. And the only thing is no roles?
- 0:35Speaker 2: What how do you have.
- 0:36Speaker 1: That we all want? What? What do you mean? They're
- 0:38Speaker 1: no roles? What kind?
- 0:39Speaker 3: How do you that's like not having turkey? No roles?
- 0:44Speaker 2: He cooked a big, big meal and a lot of
- 0:47Speaker 2: good stuff. But I did deviled eggs and I went.
- 0:52Speaker 4: My job was to go pick up the Vosun's rolls.
- 0:56Speaker 4: That was my contribution to Thanksgiving.
- 0:58Speaker 1: That was it.
- 1:00Speaker 3: They got the best rolls.
- 1:01Speaker 1: They really well you can make them too, and they're
- 1:03Speaker 1: usually pretty good.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm good at picking up things, that's true.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Uh so you didn't have turkey?
- 1:10Speaker 1: Carry Oh? He had a big chicken because we don't
- 1:14Speaker 1: need a whole turkey. Yeah, I guess, but then you
- 1:16Speaker 1: don't have turkey leftovers, have chicken left over. If you
- 1:19Speaker 1: don't have a turkey, that's correct. Don't don't you want to?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Don't you want stuffing? And we did that. We had
- 1:26Speaker 1: We had stuffing, just not chicken. Just not turkey, just
- 1:31Speaker 1: not turkey. They had chicken. Yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Uh so.
- 1:35Speaker 4: So my husband cooks everything all the time, and he
- 1:39Speaker 4: did the entire Thanksgiving.
- 1:41Speaker 1: He didn't cook the rolls.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I got picked up.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I bet he didn't make the cranberry sauce.
- 1:46Speaker 3: He did make. Him makes fantastic cranberry.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:49Speaker 1: He doesn't just open the No, I just I like it.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I like it from the can.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Oh, he does his own cranberry sauce.
- 1:56Speaker 4: And we're having eleven people over for Thanksgiving dinner, and
- 2:00Speaker 4: they're coming at two o'clock today, no on Thanksgiving.
- 2:05Speaker 1: So you're planning ahead and at one.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Point thirty Mohammed, my son, not the prophet, wants to
- 2:13Speaker 4: take So a couple months ago we told him, if
- 2:18Speaker 4: you get straight a's, we will help you get a
- 2:20Speaker 4: project jeep okay, nineteen seventy eight, like old Jeep that
- 2:29Speaker 4: needs work, and he keeps this jeep up at the
- 2:33Speaker 4: farm because it doesn't have a top and we can't
- 2:37Speaker 4: leave it outside and we don't have any place to
- 2:39Speaker 4: park it inside and down here.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Your living room's big.
- 2:44Speaker 4: So he's like, can I take the jeep out for
- 2:46Speaker 4: before dinner? Sure, you can go take it. So he
- 2:49Speaker 4: goes for a quick drive with the jeep about fifteen
- 2:54Speaker 4: minutes before our guests are supposed to arrive. He runs
- 2:58Speaker 4: in the garage door and says, Dad, Dad, I need
- 3:00Speaker 4: you to come outside quickly. Open the garage door. And
- 3:04Speaker 4: there's some sort of gas fume, smoke, steam coming out
- 3:10Speaker 4: of and I said, is it on fire? No, that's
- 3:15Speaker 4: battery acid. So the battery came loose somehow and fell
- 3:21Speaker 4: on the manifold that was hot, and it was burning
- 3:24Speaker 4: through and we had a cloud of battery acid in
- 3:29Speaker 4: the ground. Joe's in his in his apron, you know,
- 3:32Speaker 4: he's in the middle of cooking.
- 3:33Speaker 1: That's all he wears.
- 3:34Speaker 3: When he cooked, Yeah, Thanksgiving dinner.
- 3:39Speaker 1: It's sexy Thanksgiving, And he had.
- 3:41Speaker 4: To stop everything and help Mohammad get the wow the
- 3:45Speaker 4: battery acid leaking battery out of the garage and.
- 3:50Speaker 3: And so later that night, he's on his phone. I said,
- 3:53Speaker 3: what are you doing.
- 3:54Speaker 4: He's like, I'm trying to figure out if we inhaled
- 3:57Speaker 4: enough battery acid. Cool.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I think they're okay.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I mean, they seem okay today. But but the kids
- 4:06Speaker 4: secure your battery.
- 4:08Speaker 2: And so so as your guests are there eating their
- 4:11Speaker 2: Thanksgiving dinner, there's also just a slight hint of battery
- 4:15Speaker 2: acid smelling.
- 4:15Speaker 4: A little yeah, a little little chemical delightful. Thank god
- 4:19Speaker 4: you had yes, Stop up, jeez, Everything's okay.
- 4:27Speaker 2: No arguments, no fights, No, oh, that's that's that's right.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You're a bunch of spineless pacifists, that's what. That's what
- 4:41Speaker 2: Your family, a bunch of no. I can't imagine there aren't.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Now you guys agree on everything, right, I mean family.
- 4:48Speaker 4: When Uncle Retta comes over, it's entertaining. But it's not arguing.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's he starts stuff.
- 4:54Speaker 3: He starts stuff.
- 4:55Speaker 1: He started stuff with me before.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He's he's entertaining.
- 4:59Speaker 4: It's not it's not an argument argument, it's it's an
- 5:02Speaker 4: entertaining discussion.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I didn't take it poorly. It was kind of fun.
- 5:09Speaker 4: So, and then we had turkey pot pie the next day,
- 5:13Speaker 4: so Joe made with like a filoa puff pastry. It
- 5:17Speaker 4: was a great It was better than just turkey sandwiches.
- 5:20Speaker 4: The next day, Yeah, we did sandwiches.
- 5:23Speaker 5: But that gets back to the cranberry talk that we
- 5:26Speaker 5: had because Sue made cranberry sauce made with you know,
- 5:31Speaker 5: the cranberries, and she put in pecans instead of walnuts
- 5:36Speaker 5: this year. Uh but I as I was eating that
- 5:39Speaker 5: and they're just enjoying it. I said, I can't believe
- 5:41Speaker 5: that people still love the canned cranberry.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I love it. What I just you know, this is
- 5:48Speaker 1: just so good.
- 5:49Speaker 4: No, yeah, Joe simmers his with rosemary. It's like a
- 5:52Speaker 4: rosemary cranberry sauce.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I like that.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I like to open the canon of cranberry jelly. You
- 5:58Speaker 2: open one end and then you go, I mean there,
- 6:02Speaker 2: and it comes out shape of the can.
- 6:05Speaker 1: There are people who love it because it's mostly sugar.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And then you then you cut, then you cut, you
- 6:09Speaker 2: can cut slices of it and put it on your sandwich.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Really well, I think it's great.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I love it.
- 6:16Speaker 5: It's just yeah, it just seemed to me that, you know,
- 6:20Speaker 5: eating this nice, fresh, wonderful thing, and then you're thinking
- 6:23Speaker 5: to yourself.
- 6:24Speaker 1: People prefer the candle.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It's because it's because I have had and you must
- 6:30Speaker 2: have had many homemade cranberry sauces that were horrible.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I've not had a horrible one. I have had horrible ones.
- 6:40Speaker 3: So you can count on the can. Is that what
- 6:42Speaker 3: you're saying.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what you're getting. It's like going to McDonald's.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You know what you're getting.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's better living through chemical.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You're gonna you're gonna get exactly what you you know.
- 6:53Speaker 1: It's gonna be the same every time. You know what
- 6:56Speaker 1: you're getting.
- 6:58Speaker 3: We also, this is a story for another time. Yes,
- 7:01Speaker 3: we went Christmas tree shopping.
- 7:04Speaker 1: You grow Christmas. I said, that's stupid.
- 7:08Speaker 4: I think next time I'm up at the farm, I'm
- 7:10Speaker 4: gonna take a video and post it and show you
- 7:12Speaker 4: why these aren't Christmas tree You're too big, too big?
- 7:16Speaker 1: Well, when are you going to give me one you want?
- 7:19Speaker 4: You want a live one for your yard, You can
- 7:21Speaker 4: have one. It's your I will give you a free tree.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You have to go.
- 7:25Speaker 3: You just have to pay to move it, that's all.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And there's one guy in the state who has that machine.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You need to buy a second.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Jared Jared if you're listening, you need to get up
- 7:36Speaker 4: and take some trees.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Yes,
