- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Alliance.
- 0:23Speaker 2: While I'm staring down this thing of fried rice here,
- 0:25Speaker 2: I apologize. It's just like right in front of my
- 0:27Speaker 2: desk for some reason.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Don't even worry about it. I thought about I thought
- 0:31Speaker 3: about we were coming on here. It's like, oh, I
- 0:32Speaker 3: need to like put on like a sugar or whatever
- 0:34Speaker 3: because I'm in this you know, snuggie blanket thing. And
- 0:37Speaker 3: I was like, you know what we're talking about, Skeleton
- 0:39Speaker 3: crew about we're just remembering when you were a.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Kid, and just relax, don't even worry you, okay, you know.
- 0:46Speaker 2: And when you when you popped up here Adrian. By
- 0:49Speaker 2: the way, guys, Adrian's here. Uh I I love that
- 0:56Speaker 2: when you are here, because I mean we had some
- 0:58Speaker 2: really hot takes, uh with some of the talk of
- 1:03Speaker 2: Jedi and everything else when we were talking about the Acolyte.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Uh and you just you know, made my week every
- 1:11Speaker 2: single time you jumped on here when we talk thanks man.
- 1:14Speaker 2: So of course we had to have you jump on.
- 1:19Speaker 2: We had to have you jump on and talk about
- 1:22Speaker 2: and crew as well. But yeah, when I saw you
- 1:24Speaker 2: pop up with this sweater of yours. I was like,
- 1:27Speaker 2: holy crap, Santa came early? What is this?
- 1:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I know that's what everyone It's what everyone says,
- 1:32Speaker 4: but I honestly do. I just like red.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So like when I when you know, it was it
- 1:37Speaker 3: was like a gift from from my my uncle who
- 1:41Speaker 3: you know, got me into Star Wars to like Star
- 1:43Speaker 3: Wars Galaxies and things like that, so it's it's a
- 1:46Speaker 3: very special sweater. But whenever I put it on, I
- 1:48Speaker 3: was like, ah, I feel like home. And everyone's like Santa,
- 1:50Speaker 3: even like in July. Every time, every time the WE
- 1:54Speaker 3: delivery guy comes, it's Santa every failed. So that's get
- 1:58Speaker 3: some gray in my beard and then we'll see how
- 2:00Speaker 3: it goes. But guys, of course, if you are not
- 2:06Speaker 3: here live with us on YouTube, you could see the
- 2:09Speaker 3: title shows that we are going to be talking about
- 2:12Speaker 3: Skeleton Crew episode three. But before we do that, we
- 2:17Speaker 3: do have some news. That news being of course, the
- 2:22Speaker 3: Mandalorian and Grogu movie news. And some people are excited,
- 2:27Speaker 3: some people aren't excited.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think that this is like a meme actually coming
- 2:32Speaker 2: to life, which is absolutely amazing. But let's go ahead
- 2:36Speaker 2: and talk about some of the biggest announcement that actually
- 2:40Speaker 2: got a lot of people talking. And you know, we
- 2:44Speaker 2: were just talking right before we went live about how
- 2:47Speaker 2: we're excited about you know, comics coming to life. With
- 2:51Speaker 2: this one, Katie, remind me of the actor because again
- 2:56Speaker 2: in one ear and out the other.
- 3:00Speaker 5: So it is I say confirmed, but it's like on
- 3:06Speaker 5: the Hollywood Reporter and everything that Jeremy Allen White, the
- 3:10Speaker 5: star of the Bear, or one of the stars of
- 3:14Speaker 5: the Bear, will be voicing this little guy from the
- 3:20Speaker 5: Clone Wars movie Rode to the Hut.
- 3:24Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, no sorry sorry, no, this this
- 3:27Speaker 2: is all wrong. This is all wrong, Katie, this is
- 3:29Speaker 2: all wrong. You you were showing the wrong one here.
- 3:35Speaker 2: This yeah, this is who? This is Who's.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Yes, So Java's baby Rode to the Hut will be
- 3:54Speaker 5: appearing in the Mandalorian Grogu and he's not just going
- 3:58Speaker 5: to look like most Hut we've seen it in live action.
- 4:01Speaker 5: He is apparently going to be buff.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Quote unquote buff. I love how everybody is just like
- 4:10Speaker 2: he's he's buff, Like how is how is that a thing?
- 4:13Speaker 2: And I'm like, clearly you guys are being ignorant and
- 4:16Speaker 2: not really comments here.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Just don't know. They just don't know.
- 4:22Speaker 3: They just don't know yet, and they're going to And
- 4:24Speaker 3: it's the best part about it because we do know
- 4:27Speaker 3: and we get to talk about it. It's it's I'm
- 4:28Speaker 3: going to die in the theaters eating.
- 4:33Speaker 4: I was dying this week. I was dying last night.
- 4:36Speaker 5: I open Twitter because like, that's the only social media
- 4:39Speaker 5: that I'm I'm really bad at. I'm trying to get
- 4:42Speaker 5: better at not using it. But then also at the
- 4:45Speaker 5: same time, it's the only when I ever use And
- 4:47Speaker 5: so I opened it and I just see all these
- 4:48Speaker 5: things and I'm like, wait, what is this a joke?
- 4:54Speaker 5: Because first of all, Jeremy Allen White, I don't picture
- 4:58Speaker 5: him as a hut but obviously I don't have to
- 5:02Speaker 5: picture him.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 6: Well not not only that, it's just like we we
- 5:08Speaker 6: There has been a huge debate, and I feel like
- 5:13Speaker 6: Travis Snell, of course, our godfather over here at.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Geek Verse and and the Geek Ultimate Alliance is very
- 5:21Speaker 2: passionate about Hollywood and about voice actor versus actor, like
- 5:28Speaker 2: who should be on screen, who shouldn't be on screen?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Type of scenarios, type of things.
- 5:33Speaker 5: Like Alfred Molina and the Skeleton Group.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Exactly exactly. We're going to talk about that later. But
- 5:41Speaker 2: this persona this this actor. I've seen clips of The Bear.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I see that he is clearly, you know, a talented individual,
- 5:54Speaker 2: and out of every single person you could have casted
- 5:57Speaker 2: him ass they road to the Hut. It's it's a
- 6:06Speaker 2: very interesting casting. Adrian, how do you how do you
- 6:10Speaker 2: feel about the casting? Like do you do you?
- 6:13Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 6:13Speaker 2: I mean.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I like it. I like it.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I mean I I like him.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I know, like the Bear is the big thing right now.
- 6:22Speaker 3: And I've finished watching it because it's like really hard
- 6:24Speaker 3: for me to watch that one because like a lot
- 6:25Speaker 3: of like family trauma and I'm like going through a
- 6:27Speaker 3: lot of it myself, so I'm just like processing a
- 6:29Speaker 3: lot of that at the same time they're also processing it.
- 6:31Speaker 3: It's I got to keep up with them in the show.
- 6:34Speaker 3: But I love him. But I remember him when he
- 6:36Speaker 3: was a wee lad in Shameless. So I've been watching
- 6:39Speaker 3: this dude get his ass kicked as like the smaller
- 6:42Speaker 3: kid for forever. So hell yeah, who else to cast
- 6:47Speaker 3: in that role better than him? Someone who's played the
- 6:50Speaker 3: smaller brother, smaller punch down role. Give them the biggest
- 6:58Speaker 3: hut scariest that we've ever seen. Like, let's see like
- 7:00Speaker 3: how he plays into that through his amazing acting abilities
- 7:05Speaker 3: that we've seen in all of his things.
- 7:07Speaker 4: So I'm with it. I'm with it.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I think no better role than that. Then give him
- 7:12Speaker 3: a voice acting role. Give him a motion cap role
- 7:15Speaker 3: as a giant. Hut, I'm down. Let's do it. A
- 7:18Speaker 3: motion cap role. They have, they have to do mo cap.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Let him be giant, let him be big.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Well, I feel like it would work best with him,
- 7:25Speaker 2: just because of course him being the actor that he is.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Don't don't put him into a booth confined and just
- 7:34Speaker 2: like reading lines like I'm sorry, that can't happen. Get
- 7:38Speaker 2: him out there with Pedro Pascal, with all these other
- 7:42Speaker 2: actors and really see him with the Chemistry and everybody else.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I think that's how it's going to work best for him,
- 7:49Speaker 2: you know. So that's that's what I'm hoping for.
- 7:52Speaker 4: No, yeah, no, yeah, for sure, for sure. Yeah, put it.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Put him in mocap because it's twenty twenty four, man,
- 7:56Speaker 3: and you can afford it. You can afford it.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Man.
- 8:00Speaker 3: If you're gonna get him, if you're gonna get be
- 8:02Speaker 3: better use and please, please please, can we.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Say you can afford it? But also, Katie, can you
- 8:07Speaker 2: confirm what the budget for this movie is? I can't
- 8:10Speaker 2: remember if we've actually talked about it or if it's
- 8:12Speaker 2: like even rumored to have like some sort of budget
- 8:16Speaker 2: as far as like a larger budget than anything else. Uh,
- 8:20Speaker 2: because I would assume that this individual is not a
- 8:27Speaker 2: deep actor in the sense of like it's gonna cost
- 8:31Speaker 2: Disney some money to have him on the Mandalorian Grogan all.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Right, So MovieWeb dot com and this is from February
- 8:42Speaker 5: of this year, says the budget is one hundred and
- 8:46Speaker 5: twenty million dollars.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I feel like that that me that seems a little low.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Now again, well, that's the point is that they've lowered
- 8:58Speaker 5: cause I was.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I was just about say due to the quote unquote flaps,
- 9:03Speaker 2: which I just think, Hey, guys, you made one less
- 9:07Speaker 2: billion than you did last year. Calm down. You know
- 9:11Speaker 2: they're gonna want to go with a cheaper route. But
- 9:13Speaker 2: I still think that they I think it might be
- 9:17Speaker 2: a little bigger, but who knows. I think this is
- 9:22Speaker 2: gonna be interesting. I would I want to know if
- 9:26Speaker 2: do you guys think with the world now quote unquote
- 9:31Speaker 2: knowing because again Katie, you said Hollywood reporter announced this
- 9:34Speaker 2: and everything else. Do they keep him out of the
- 9:39Speaker 2: trailer or do they use him and his voice as
- 9:45Speaker 2: a staple to get people into the theater? What we think?
- 9:52Speaker 5: I think you're gonna see him in the trailer. I mean,
- 9:54Speaker 5: nobody's gonna know who he is, because I mean, Clone
- 9:58Speaker 5: War's movie was not, like, it's not one of the
- 10:01Speaker 5: most popular pieces of media that start wars, even though
- 10:04Speaker 5: it's got a good legacy. Plus RDA is a baby
- 10:10Speaker 5: versus Roda is semi adult buff Hut, so you're not
- 10:17Speaker 5: gonna like recognize them. So the voice is gonna be
- 10:20Speaker 5: the key thing. And I think with the popularity of
- 10:24Speaker 5: the Bear, you want to capitalize on him being in there.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Oh well, that's that's also a thing. I can't remember
- 10:32Speaker 2: if he spoke basic at all in the comics.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Uh yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 3: And also I get almost I'm thinking of all the
- 10:40Speaker 3: Hut voices we've ever heard, and even Zero had like
- 10:43Speaker 3: a little bit of added computer twang to it. Right,
- 10:47Speaker 3: It's not like one hundred percent voice. There's always something
- 10:49Speaker 3: behind it. So it's gonna be like an obscure voice.
- 10:54Speaker 4: But again, if it's like a physicality thing, yeah, they
- 10:56Speaker 4: use that. Dude.
- 10:57Speaker 3: He's a he might be five to seven, but he's
- 10:59Speaker 3: a strended I have seven. They're gonna most cap that,
- 11:02Speaker 3: they're gonna they're gonna get it.
- 11:04Speaker 4: They know what, they know what I mean.
- 11:05Speaker 3: And I say, this is someone who doesn't even watch trailers.
- 11:07Speaker 3: I don't even watch the trailers. I haven't watched trailer
- 11:09Speaker 3: since Worldue one, so I don't I don't know the
- 11:11Speaker 3: wrong person asked there.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I I think it'll be interesting. I think they could
- 11:18Speaker 2: just the the awe aspect of somebody watching this trailer
- 11:24Speaker 2: and then even for like a split second seeing freaking
- 11:28Speaker 2: twenty pack abs hut and being like, what the hell
- 11:33Speaker 2: did I just see and then just like going back,
- 11:35Speaker 2: pausing it and looking at it like guys, I think, ye,
- 11:38Speaker 2: the Star Wars.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Movie, and then there and then there's gonna be the
- 11:43Speaker 3: the huts aren't supposed to be buff, Winner huts ever buff.
- 11:46Speaker 4: And then we get to go, look, we've had this
- 11:48Speaker 4: dude forever. Look at him.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Oh God, there's gonna there's there's gonna be a side
- 11:53Speaker 2: of the Internet that's gonna make huts sexy.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Arnt there.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's already there. It's already there. In cognito mode.
- 12:03Speaker 4: I got it. I got it.
- 12:04Speaker 3: No worries, I'll suffer, I'll do I'll do the curious work.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I got it.
- 12:12Speaker 5: So, but with the Hut, do you think this has
- 12:18Speaker 5: any connection with the rumors that Bubba and Finnick will
- 12:23Speaker 5: be present in the movie. Do you think this has
- 12:26Speaker 5: any connection with them taking over like the crime thrown
- 12:30Speaker 5: on Tatooine?
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yo, Well, I mean low key if if if a
- 12:38Speaker 3: buff Hut rolled in was rewatching Book of Boba Fett,
- 12:41Speaker 3: playing a lot of Star Wars Outlaws makes me want
- 12:43Speaker 3: to go play Book of Boba fet to go like
- 12:45Speaker 3: hate the Pikes more so, it's it's really good for that.
- 12:48Speaker 3: But then I'm like thinking about the same scene when
- 12:50Speaker 3: the Twins roll in. It's obviously very intimidating because they're
- 12:54Speaker 3: coming in on like the you know, the being carried
- 12:58Speaker 3: and all this fanfare. But if I just a buff
- 13:02Speaker 3: Huck just slugged in, I don't know how Big Bulb
- 13:05Speaker 3: was gonna feel. Yeah, in a moment like that, like
- 13:09Speaker 3: that's gonna be a much tougher thing with any bounty hunter.
- 13:13Speaker 3: You can think of of the time showing up too.
- 13:16Speaker 3: It's gonna be a it's gonna be a crazy It's
- 13:19Speaker 3: gonna be crazy because even if you think about like
- 13:21Speaker 3: not even buff huts and like the High Republic, still
- 13:24Speaker 3: you know, they get their hands dirty, they pull out
- 13:27Speaker 3: those things. We only have we in the Skywalker Soccer
- 13:30Speaker 3: we have like just like the fat, boring huts.
- 13:32Speaker 4: But there's a time.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Where the huts didn't got their power, not from just
- 13:36Speaker 3: sitting on their ass but being legitimately scary.
- 13:39Speaker 4: So yeah, I'm with it. I'm with it. Let's see it.
- 13:42Speaker 2: No, it's just like it's just a what an amazing
- 13:46Speaker 2: way to just like somewhat. And again, I use this
- 13:51Speaker 2: word just to trigger some fans on purpose, and I
- 13:53Speaker 2: apologize to purposely like retcon Boba Fete in the sense
- 13:57Speaker 2: of like, oh, you can't rule because here comes Roda
- 14:02Speaker 2: and he's going to be the ruler now, you know,
- 14:05Speaker 2: I think that would get a lot of people to
- 14:07Speaker 2: be like, wait, what happened? I didn't see this show?
- 14:10Speaker 2: What's going on? Boom, go back, Spike in numbers and
- 14:13Speaker 2: book a Bulba fet season two announcement Boom, Nona, uh.
- 14:21Speaker 3: No, you're onto something. You're onto something. Man, they mentioned
- 14:25Speaker 3: Crimson Jack. Where's the only place you can find Crimson
- 14:28Speaker 3: Jack stuff? The hellsy on Star Cruiser stuff that no
- 14:31Speaker 3: longer exists.
- 14:32Speaker 4: How do you get people to.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Go check out stories that don't have any way to
- 14:36Speaker 3: be relevant anymore. That's how you do it. You mentioned
- 14:40Speaker 3: them in weird ways, dude, that's how you do it.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I know it sounds silly, but like I think that's
- 14:44Speaker 3: legitimately how it is. I mean, how it got me
- 14:46Speaker 3: to go back to my you know, my comic and
- 14:48Speaker 3: be like, oh, yeah, shit, look look at that. Yeah,
- 14:51Speaker 3: like Crimson Jack, that's cool, but also like, look at
- 14:54Speaker 3: all this other cool stuff that's in Star Wars.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah. So it's there, and it's a good way to
- 14:59Speaker 4: do it.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Need it to me that way instead of just forgetting
- 15:02Speaker 3: about it, you know, at least remember it. It feels
- 15:05Speaker 3: like what it's doing, it feels like that's what Skelting
- 15:06Speaker 3: Crew does a lot as well.
- 15:07Speaker 2: So yeah, so that was our first part of the news.
- 15:14Speaker 2: We have two other pieces of news that are also
- 15:17Speaker 2: Mandalorian Grogu relevant. So the next one is the fact that,
- 15:26Speaker 2: well we already mentioned.
- 15:27Speaker 7: That Bubba and Fine are rumored to be there, but
- 15:33Speaker 7: there is also a word that Pedro Pascal is going
- 15:39Speaker 7: to be filming some scenes for the Mandalorian Grogu here recently.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That was back on December tenth. We also know that
- 15:46Speaker 2: he was recently on the set and quite possibly wrapping up,
- 15:52Speaker 2: and I believe it has been confirmed that it has
- 15:54Speaker 2: wrapped so far but Fantastic four, so his schedule has
- 15:59Speaker 2: opened up to possibly do anything as far as pickups
- 16:03Speaker 2: and or reshoots for Mandolori and Grogu, depending on how
- 16:08Speaker 2: that schedule is all going out. I'm not entirely sure
- 16:11Speaker 2: if it's actively filming or if they're just kind of
- 16:14Speaker 2: spot shooting.
- 16:16Speaker 5: It's probably spot shooting, just because I mean Latif Crowder
- 16:20Speaker 5: and I can't remember who the other guy is. I
- 16:23Speaker 5: just know it's Latif Crowder because Latif is supposed to
- 16:26Speaker 5: supposedly the one who said Pedro was going to be
- 16:28Speaker 5: on set, but they play Manda most of the time,
- 16:34Speaker 5: So Pedro's probably just shooting like a couple one maybe
- 16:39Speaker 5: two scenes, probably where he's got his helmet off and
- 16:42Speaker 5: that excited.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Hey, shout out UK for just saying that thing. You
- 16:46Speaker 4: said that one time. I don't I don't know what
- 16:49Speaker 4: it was.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I remember seeing it and I was like, yeah, because
- 16:52Speaker 3: it is really just like latifadds and not that that
- 16:54Speaker 3: people can't do it, but like I saw you in Gladiator,
- 16:58Speaker 3: man like, let's do some more of your sons too,
- 17:00Speaker 3: one a little bit man like, let's like, let's let's
- 17:02Speaker 3: I want to cheer you on the way that I
- 17:03Speaker 3: want to cheer latifon as well, because you put in
- 17:06Speaker 3: the word.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Yeah for sure.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yeah. And then as far as other Mandalorian grogu stuff,
- 17:16Speaker 2: I believe that is it. I think that is it
- 17:21Speaker 2: for the news as well. So if we guys, if
- 17:24Speaker 2: you guys want to jump into it, let's go ahead
- 17:26Speaker 2: and jump into Skeleton Crew episode three. The episode is
- 17:33Speaker 2: titled A It's titled very interesting as in astrogrenation problem,
- 17:40Speaker 2: asked astronavigation.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Actual navigation problem, astro.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Astro creation problem.
- 17:50Speaker 3: That's that's look, a character who has written to be
- 17:55Speaker 3: much smarter than me, said the words, So yeah, I'm
- 17:58Speaker 3: not feeling that exactly exactly.
- 18:01Speaker 2: So first thing, before we talk about story or anything else,
- 18:06Speaker 2: I want to talk about all right, guys, we're gonna
- 18:09Speaker 2: go ahead and cut to our first ad break. Remember
- 18:11Speaker 2: we do not choose these ads. We don't choose how
- 18:13Speaker 2: many times they repeat themselves. If they do, so, go
- 18:16Speaker 2: ahead and lower that volume and we will be right back.
- 18:20Speaker 2: It's at a minute forty. It is a shot of
- 18:24Speaker 2: all of at.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Are you this, oh no, at Aten okay, okay, sorry.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Out of all of that Aton right before you see
- 18:31Speaker 2: the scene with all of the parents. Yeah, but you
- 18:34Speaker 2: see the city scape this show. I love how it
- 18:42Speaker 2: feels like Star Wars and doesn't feel like Star Wars
- 18:45Speaker 2: all at the same time. Like, I think it is
- 18:49Speaker 2: absolutely amazing. And again, I talked to Katie about this
- 18:54Speaker 2: last week, and I know, Adrian, you were in the
- 18:56Speaker 2: chat when we were talking about this, but the idea
- 19:00Speaker 2: that like people were saying like, oh, this is exactly
- 19:02Speaker 2: how the original trilogy felt, and I'm like, this is
- 19:06Speaker 2: nothing like the original trilogy, and I kind of like it.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Also the fact that this is it's crisp, it's clean.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I love domesticated, you know, freaking uh suburban Star Wars.
- 19:22Speaker 2: It actually feels really really nice.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Well, well, I mean I think the way the way
- 19:27Speaker 3: that I the way that I see it, and I
- 19:29Speaker 3: think as as you're saying this, Clay, I mean, think
- 19:32Speaker 3: about like how this this whole thing opens. Right, it's
- 19:35Speaker 3: a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, right,
- 19:38Speaker 3: Like all this stuff that's happening is some primitive crazy
- 19:41Speaker 3: but so like super far away stuff. Aton has been
- 19:44Speaker 3: closed off for all that stuff for who knows how long.
- 19:47Speaker 4: They just became us. They just became boring.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Us.
- 19:52Speaker 4: They became us.
- 19:52Speaker 5: We're not supposed to job.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't even know what their parents do. We
- 19:58Speaker 3: want to be we want to be like Yeah. I
- 20:00Speaker 3: think that's why. I think that's why it's not supposed
- 20:02Speaker 3: to feel like Star Wars. It's supposed to feel too
- 20:05Speaker 3: it's too like our home, it's too scary. But I
- 20:09Speaker 3: think that it does other things in it that grounds
- 20:12Speaker 3: also very well. Like you're saying, Clay, that we can
- 20:14Speaker 3: talk about a little bit later once we get to
- 20:16Speaker 3: like the borgo stuff, and I'll see what were the
- 20:19Speaker 3: time stamp is, and I'll try and jump in when
- 20:21Speaker 3: you talk about it. But the show we really does
- 20:24Speaker 3: a good job of rounding me personally when I look
- 20:26Speaker 3: at it in different ways where I'm just like, man,
- 20:29Speaker 3: this isn't Star Wars because this is brutal, this is
- 20:31Speaker 3: way more brutal than Star Wars. This is not a
- 20:34Speaker 3: new Hope. This is like or any of those things.
- 20:37Speaker 3: This is all the stuff behind a new Hope, behind
- 20:40Speaker 3: the canteena stuff that you see, all the scum and
- 20:42Speaker 3: villainy stuff that Obi Wan is talking about. It's this.
- 20:45Speaker 3: So it's not like that a new Hope of the
- 20:49Speaker 3: original trilogy. That's all what wom is looking at in
- 20:52Speaker 3: a book. That's what he's looking at. We're looking at
- 20:55Speaker 3: everything else that's happening around it, and it's sick. That's
- 20:58Speaker 3: why like and Or is so good. That's uh, you know,
- 21:02Speaker 3: I mean, Accolyte is good for other reasons, right, because
- 21:04Speaker 3: we're looking at different sides of things, not just like
- 21:06Speaker 3: one storybook perspective of it.
- 21:09Speaker 4: And I think that I think that's.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Why, you know, I'm so i just want to know
- 21:13Speaker 3: more about d Ad, and every every episode, I'm just like,
- 21:15Speaker 3: what is it?
- 21:16Speaker 4: What is it? The droid? I don't know?
- 21:20Speaker 5: And I do just want to call this out just
- 21:22Speaker 5: because we're terrible at mentioning it. But kb's parents are
- 21:27Speaker 5: actually there. She's got two moms, So there's like LGBTQ
- 21:31Speaker 5: representation in the show there, and they don't have they
- 21:36Speaker 5: They have a couple of lines, but it's not like
- 21:38Speaker 5: they're the main focus of the show. But I did
- 21:40Speaker 5: just want to like point them.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Out, so yeah, of course, I also I would like
- 21:48Speaker 2: to tell us and fans. Then I feel like sometimes
- 21:53Speaker 2: we just need to calm down, because Adie and I
- 21:56Speaker 2: were like, well, you know, putting on staple hats and
- 22:02Speaker 2: saying I think this dude's a bug. I think this
- 22:05Speaker 2: dude is trying to set up things, because why didn't
- 22:07Speaker 2: and dude, they answered that question immediately.
- 22:13Speaker 4: It's the other grounding part of it.
- 22:15Speaker 3: He's like, hey, we're going to talk about the same
- 22:17Speaker 3: things you talked about all week right in front of you.
- 22:20Speaker 4: We got you, we're fans, we get it. I love it.
- 22:23Speaker 2: I love it man. It's so good because it is
- 22:26Speaker 2: it is a constant conversation with the people that are
- 22:30Speaker 2: making this show, and that's what I love about it.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It's like, Okay, how do you do this? And then
- 22:36Speaker 2: they show us and like awesome, cool, well how did
- 22:39Speaker 2: you do that? And they're like, oh well let me
- 22:40Speaker 2: just show you. It's just a boom.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Oh I love it, but still diddy, oh yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 22:48Speaker 2: There is still a maybe new one and enough questions
- 22:53Speaker 2: for you to be like, okay, I have because I'm
- 22:56Speaker 2: a I'm bad at this. You can ask my wife.
- 23:00Speaker 2: We just got finished watching. We were a little behind,
- 23:03Speaker 2: but we just finished watching season four of Only Murders
- 23:06Speaker 2: in the Building. Every episode it's it's this person, No way,
- 23:09Speaker 2: I changed my mind. It's this person, No I change
- 23:11Speaker 2: my mind, it's this person. I'm always trying to figure
- 23:13Speaker 2: out the surprise or the plot or the big you know,
- 23:17Speaker 2: who done it before the reveal, And it's just who
- 23:21Speaker 2: I am as a moviegoer, as a TV I.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Think that's who a lot of us are.
- 23:26Speaker 2: So when it comes to this show in particular, you know,
- 23:31Speaker 2: when we're making all of these tinfoil hat theories, they're like, oh, yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 2: like that's got to be it, that's got to be it.
- 23:36Speaker 2: And then they show a little bit of it. But
- 23:38Speaker 2: then they kind of reel it back and they're like, oh, well,
- 23:41Speaker 2: are we sure what's going on? You know, go along
- 23:44Speaker 2: with this journey with us, Adrian, you picked up a
- 23:47Speaker 2: really good point and it's actually showing up. I have
- 23:50Speaker 2: the episode going on right now. When when there's you know,
- 23:55Speaker 2: they're saying like, oh, he's a Jedi, like he's he's
- 23:58Speaker 2: the protector of justice and all of this. We can
- 24:00Speaker 2: trust them, and you know, uh, I like how he's like, oh,
- 24:04Speaker 2: you know a lot about the course and it's like, oh,
- 24:06Speaker 2: that's something a Jedi would say, and the way that
- 24:09Speaker 2: he says it is kind of how people how that
- 24:12Speaker 2: kind of Jedi speak is. But I don't trust him yet.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I don't trust him because we watched the Actolyade and
- 24:18Speaker 3: we know now don't trust the Jedi no matter what
- 24:21Speaker 3: era it is, because they're just cops. No, no, no, but
- 24:23Speaker 3: like you know, like you don't know, you don't know,
- 24:26Speaker 3: and like the KB stuff, I don't know if k
- 24:28Speaker 3: KB and then they had the conversation k KB for insensitive.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I didn't really get on the I didn't know what
- 24:32Speaker 4: the internet talking about.
- 24:33Speaker 3: I'm talking about like theories, like I'm just as I'm
- 24:35Speaker 3: watching it with the people I was watching it with,
- 24:37Speaker 3: we were just firing off theories and questions left and right,
- 24:39Speaker 3: just because we were trying to figure it out and
- 24:41Speaker 3: we don't know. And I think it's a marker of
- 24:42Speaker 3: a good show where I'm just like I don't know,
- 24:44Speaker 3: and whatever answer they come up with, I think it's dope,
- 24:46Speaker 3: because I'm just the d I think.
- 24:48Speaker 5: She like was sensing, like with her headset, she was sensing.
- 24:52Speaker 2: That's that's what I assume. That's what I assumed it was.
- 24:56Speaker 2: It was something with her visor. But even I just
- 25:00Speaker 2: love how they call it out. It's like, oh, you know,
- 25:03Speaker 2: I guess KB has the Wars too, And then of
- 25:06Speaker 2: course Jude Law's character is like, well, the force resides
- 25:09Speaker 2: in all of us.
- 25:10Speaker 4: I love that.
- 25:11Speaker 2: It was like you're you're, you're, you're telling us the truth,
- 25:14Speaker 2: but like I still don't know, and it's awesome. I
- 25:17Speaker 2: love it.
- 25:19Speaker 5: Hello Dracking seven seven in the chat.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Hello, Hello, that's my friend who's here visiting me today, Oh,
- 25:27Speaker 3: for his birthday.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Yeah, thanks for thanks for hanging out.
- 25:31Speaker 2: That's awesome. We get to the point where they of
- 25:36Speaker 2: course are heading off to the ship, and I also
- 25:40Speaker 2: it's it's these meta moments like this one that I
- 25:45Speaker 2: really love to laugh at Star Wars because it's Star
- 25:49Speaker 2: Wars laughing at us in the sense of oh, when
- 25:54Speaker 2: Kab says, isn't it a really bad idea to go
- 25:57Speaker 2: into hyperspace attached to something? These are the types of
- 26:01Speaker 2: conversations that us nerds would have and actually debate and
- 26:04Speaker 2: get angry about and you know it's happened from time
- 26:07Speaker 2: to time, and then they're like and and creators are
- 26:10Speaker 2: just like, oh, watch this, we're gonna do it. I
- 26:12Speaker 2: know you're not gonna like it, or maybe you will
- 26:14Speaker 2: like it, but we're gonna do it anyway.
- 26:16Speaker 5: And I love seeing the backlash of like that the
- 26:20Speaker 5: fuel line coming through. I did think the fuel line
- 26:23Speaker 5: went on a little too long, like personally, especially on
- 26:28Speaker 5: the second watch, I was like, oh, oh.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Oh, perfect, perfect, Oh yes, Katie James, glad, so glad
- 26:34Speaker 3: you brought that up, because as I was watching it,
- 26:36Speaker 3: I was thinking, like, man, this seems kind of corny
- 26:38Speaker 3: and like they're trying to be like, you know, joky,
- 26:40Speaker 3: because some of the kind.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Of thing is. But I think the music there is
- 26:43Speaker 4: just to keep it light.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Because we were watching it together and my friend Elvis,
- 26:47Speaker 3: who's dracking in the chat, he's a military man and
- 26:51Speaker 3: has been does military things, knows what it's like to
- 26:53Speaker 3: be around the literal giant ships, and he was telling
- 26:58Speaker 3: me about like mirror time, like danger really is those
- 27:01Speaker 3: lines snapping and slicing people in hand half yeah, So
- 27:06Speaker 3: like while like it's played jokey. I think to appease
- 27:09Speaker 3: the kids, to like keep us grounded in this, like
- 27:12Speaker 3: this is a kid's show. And I even said last
- 27:14Speaker 3: week that this are from the premiere that this is
- 27:16Speaker 3: not a kids show.
- 27:17Speaker 4: This is a show that just has kids in it,
- 27:19Speaker 4: because they are.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Really simulating people getting snapped by like these these very
- 27:25Speaker 3: scary things. So I think that's the grounding part for me,
- 27:28Speaker 3: where it's like, oh, this is no joke, and we
- 27:31Speaker 3: got to like remember that these are giant starships and
- 27:33Speaker 3: these kids are controlling these things, and some of them
- 27:37Speaker 3: might be a little bit too eager to jump into
- 27:39Speaker 3: turrets and things.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Well, and that was another thing too. I know that's
- 27:42Speaker 2: a little it's we're jumping a little bit ahead, but
- 27:44Speaker 2: that was a good moment that I wanted to talk
- 27:46Speaker 2: about because you know, here is somebody like Wim who
- 27:52Speaker 2: is like, oh, Jedi, are you know the projects of
- 27:55Speaker 2: truth and justice and all these other things? Has he
- 27:58Speaker 2: never heard of an x Wing Like that's but that's like,
- 28:02Speaker 2: that's what's wild again. We're we talked about the tenfold
- 28:06Speaker 2: halbs of last week with x Wing would have been
- 28:11Speaker 2: way past the time frame of what we think that
- 28:17Speaker 2: at Acton was kind of locked in on.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Yeah, because the X Wing is like a New Republic
- 28:22Speaker 5: era ship, like not New Republic but like Late Empire
- 28:27Speaker 5: Rebellion era.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Yeah, And so no matter what time frame he is, well,
- 28:32Speaker 3: no matter what time frame he is, that kid shooting
- 28:34Speaker 3: at an X Wing is the coolest one of the
- 28:36Speaker 3: coolest things.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Star Wars has ever done.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yes, we'll get to it later, but one of the
- 28:41Speaker 3: coolest things they've ever done.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But the fact that, like when we were talking, were
- 28:45Speaker 2: when they were talking and you know, he said like, oh,
- 28:50Speaker 2: just go to uh, just get in here, and they
- 28:53Speaker 2: like got in there and they like started to shoot
- 28:55Speaker 2: at him. I'm like, guys, you guys are kids, Like
- 28:58Speaker 2: why are you all like and whim is just like
- 29:01Speaker 2: he's having fun, has a big smile on his face
- 29:03Speaker 2: and like just shooting. He's like, Oh, I got him,
- 29:05Speaker 2: I got him.
- 29:06Speaker 3: I'm like yeah, because again this because again, this is
- 29:09Speaker 3: just a kid's show, Clay, this is just a kid's show. No,
- 29:13Speaker 3: these are kids controlling giant spaceships. And then you look
- 29:18Speaker 3: at like us, Oh my god, I don't know if
- 29:20Speaker 3: we're there yet. But like around six minutes and forty
- 29:24Speaker 3: five seconds or so into the into the the episode,
- 29:27Speaker 3: we get this really wide shot of is it Borgo?
- 29:30Speaker 4: Is that is that? How you?
- 29:32Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 29:32Speaker 3: Yeah, at Borgo? Oh my god. We were watching it
- 29:36Speaker 3: on my big screen. And if you if you can
- 29:39Speaker 3: go to it, Clay or if anyone can, whoever's.
- 29:41Speaker 2: That's right here. I'm at it right now, right now.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Look in the top right and like you see that
- 29:47Speaker 4: skin that's right there. Tell me what that is.
- 29:52Speaker 2: At the top right.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah, there's like a white and blue kind of hold on,
- 29:58Speaker 3: let me see or maybe oh sorry, sorry, go back
- 30:01Speaker 3: a little bit more. Uh six forty six forties like
- 30:07Speaker 3: six forty Maybe they're not.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Sharing this on screen?
- 30:10Speaker 4: Guys.
- 30:10Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, we copyright strike.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Well not only that, but because because of the way
- 30:15Speaker 2: Disney plus is, I wouldn't be able to it actually
- 30:17Speaker 2: shuts it off. It'll actually yes, six.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Forty four sorry, is what is what I'm at right now?
- 30:22Speaker 4: Six forty four? All right?
- 30:26Speaker 2: Six?
- 30:26Speaker 4: I promise is gonna be worth it. I promise gonna
- 30:28Speaker 4: be worth it.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Because the way my wife and I gasped at the
- 30:31Speaker 3: same time at the audacity of Disney to do this
- 30:36Speaker 3: in a quote unquote kids show is despicable and I
- 30:40Speaker 3: love them for it.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Okay, so I probably cannot see this because I am blind.
- 30:46Speaker 2: You said top right corner.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Yeah, well, like top right is corner kind of right
- 30:50Speaker 3: of the screen, like where it has like the big
- 30:52Speaker 3: like lamp post. Yeah, there's something hanging from that, right.
- 30:58Speaker 4: What does that look like?
- 30:59Speaker 2: You looks like a net?
- 31:01Speaker 4: To be completely honest, that's no net.
- 31:04Speaker 2: What is that?
- 31:05Speaker 3: Looks a lot like as a gruda pattern shape head dress, like.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Put that put that against Ahsoka.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Tano's like, okay, okay, it's not so okay, So I
- 31:24Speaker 2: I went too far. So I see it. It's in
- 31:28Speaker 2: the center of the screen if you get to a
- 31:30Speaker 2: certain point of the of.
- 31:32Speaker 4: The actual center right, I guess center.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Right it is, uh And you're right, it's at like
- 31:37Speaker 2: a kiosk what I would assume?
- 31:43Speaker 4: Tell me that's not as a gruta skin.
- 31:46Speaker 5: I wouldn't think so, because it feels.
- 31:48Speaker 4: More like I don't know, dude, this show.
- 31:51Speaker 3: How often do we talk about how intentional this show is.
- 31:55Speaker 2: It looks a little big, but like at the same time,
- 31:59Speaker 2: it grows with the individual.
- 32:01Speaker 3: So like we've seen how big it gets for Sokatana
- 32:05Speaker 3: when she gets older.
- 32:07Speaker 4: And that's what I'm saying. There's no shot I would love.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Oh my god, if you're listening, if you're listening, this
- 32:13Speaker 3: is kind of stuff. This kind of stuff swagman that
- 32:15Speaker 3: I wanted to talk to you about, not fucking gift boxes.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Who did that? Who did that? Because we gassed, We gasped.
- 32:25Speaker 3: We gasped, I swear we gas. Oh my god.
- 32:28Speaker 4: We didn't even we didn't even say it. We didn't
- 32:31Speaker 4: we'd even be like, oh my god, did you see that?
- 32:32Speaker 3: We gasped because we saw it because it's so bright.
- 32:36Speaker 4: It's so bright in this this wide shot.
- 32:39Speaker 3: And we were just talking Clay about how intentional they
- 32:42Speaker 3: are about these wide shots, because that's what they That's
- 32:45Speaker 3: what we've been talking about for a while.
- 32:46Speaker 4: One of the big.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Complaints and some of the Disney shows is that they
- 32:49Speaker 3: didn't have the scope, right, What better scope than seeing
- 32:53Speaker 3: I mean, we had a brothel, we've had tattoos, drug dens, skinning.
- 32:59Speaker 3: But if you listen to the music, especially during this
- 33:01Speaker 3: scene sequence, it's still like that very popular cartoony dude.
- 33:06Speaker 3: The music is so good that they're they're playing some
- 33:09Speaker 3: of the best Star Wars right.
- 33:10Speaker 4: He's killing it.
- 33:11Speaker 3: He's killing it to he bounces this to make it
- 33:14Speaker 3: feel like a kid's show. But if you you change
- 33:16Speaker 3: the music to this, that is a scary scene. It
- 33:19Speaker 3: could be a very dark scene for sure.
- 33:21Speaker 5: We were watching it and Mars in her playped like
- 33:24Speaker 5: just kind of playing, but then she started bouncing up
- 33:27Speaker 5: and down, like especially with yes, Oh.
- 33:29Speaker 4: My god, they're doing it. They're doing yeah, oh they're
- 33:35Speaker 4: doing it the year clever. Why can't let them cook?
- 33:40Speaker 4: We just gotta let them cook.
- 33:42Speaker 5: No, it's so good, like Mick is doing a fantastic job.
- 33:47Speaker 5: And that's one of the things I wanted to talk
- 33:48Speaker 5: about episode because it just highlights like the biggest parts
- 33:54Speaker 5: of the episode. But then I think it's the there
- 33:58Speaker 5: men because a lot of people were talking about it.
- 34:00Speaker 5: But like the bouncy like kind of electro once they
- 34:05Speaker 5: get to that moon. Yeah that Oh I dug that.
- 34:09Speaker 5: I dug a crap out of.
- 34:11Speaker 2: That again, talking about some shots, some some landscape shots,
- 34:17Speaker 2: some establishing shots. You know, we we get off of
- 34:21Speaker 2: uh this, uh this was.
- 34:25Speaker 5: It a moon where they yeah, like a comet like meteor.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Okay, so we get away from the pirates and then
- 34:37Speaker 2: we go to the moon. Because I remember KB said, oh,
- 34:40Speaker 2: this moon is cold, and that's when Judlaw was like, oh, well,
- 34:43Speaker 2: just keep moving, you'll warm up. Then they have this
- 34:46Speaker 2: establishing shot where they're all walking on the sand. The
- 34:49Speaker 2: moon is soot it is so beautiful.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I love this.
- 34:57Speaker 3: You know, you've never you've never, in your freaking life,
- 35:00Speaker 3: you've never seen a shot like that in the original trilogy.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Ain't no way you look at in the face. You've
- 35:05Speaker 4: seen the shot as beautiful as that in the original trilogy.
- 35:07Speaker 5: Con always existed in Star Wars, but that was.
- 35:11Speaker 3: That was awesome because it's about the scope that like,
- 35:15Speaker 3: this is otherworldly.
- 35:16Speaker 4: We're like, oh two sons, Yeah, yeah, that's cute. Imagine
- 35:20Speaker 4: it being in your face in Star Wars. I don't know,
- 35:24Speaker 4: maybe I've never seen nothing.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Line.
- 35:25Speaker 3: It's great, it's so good. Give me her Gil and
- 35:28Speaker 3: I'm dead. Next episode, I'm sure.
- 35:31Speaker 5: Yeah, but one, I'm really interested to see where we
- 35:34Speaker 5: go with that with the corner, but we're not there yet.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Before we get to the actual moon scenes that there
- 35:40Speaker 2: is a lot of stuff to talk about. When they
- 35:42Speaker 2: are actually in their ship traveling to food Law's friend.
- 35:48Speaker 2: So we get to this moment where all the kids
- 35:53Speaker 2: are eating dinner and they're talking. It's like, oh, is
- 35:57Speaker 2: there really a treasure? Like, what are we talking about?
- 35:59Speaker 3: No?
- 35:59Speaker 2: Are our home is boring? Well? What if it has
- 36:03Speaker 2: to do with the great works, Katie, you said this,
- 36:06Speaker 2: you had this theory last week? He said, oh, well,
- 36:09Speaker 2: maybe this treasurer has to do something with the great works,
- 36:12Speaker 2: had to do something with higher republic. They're even questioning, well,
- 36:15Speaker 2: what do you mean, Well, what does your mom do? Oh?
- 36:17Speaker 2: Well she does this. Well my parents are you know analyst?
- 36:21Speaker 2: Oh so is mine? Well what do we analyze? And
- 36:23Speaker 2: it's whim that's like, oh, something boring probably, And then
- 36:26Speaker 2: he looks at the credits and they're like oh money,
- 36:29Speaker 2: and then like they they hide the credits before h
- 36:33Speaker 2: what did he what was what did he say? Of course? Captain?
- 36:37Speaker 2: Uh uh oh shoot, I'm freaking blanking.
- 36:43Speaker 5: Was that fern or you talking about? Now?
- 36:49Speaker 2: Jude Law's character? What did he give? What name did
- 36:52Speaker 2: he give them? I can't remember the name that he said.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Jorge now Wood George now would okay, yeah, uh I
- 37:01Speaker 2: would comes in, He's like, okay, guys, time to go
- 37:04Speaker 2: to bed. KB scared the crap out of me. Man,
- 37:08Speaker 2: everybody it's like, oh, I'm not even tired. Sounds like
- 37:12Speaker 2: my child everything night.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Yeah, and they put it out. How cute is that?
- 37:16Speaker 3: Dude? I don't have kids, but I thought that was
- 37:17Speaker 3: an adorable scene. It was a scene, but it's so
- 37:21Speaker 3: like kids.
- 37:22Speaker 2: They're like, oh no, I don't want to go to bed, you.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Know, just like out, wait, just wait ten minutes, Just
- 37:27Speaker 3: wait ten minutes, and we'll see what these kids are
- 37:29Speaker 3: going to be doing later exactly. And then imagine your kid,
- 37:32Speaker 3: imagine your kid doing what they're Are your kids around
- 37:34Speaker 3: the same age as as these kids?
- 37:35Speaker 2: Well, no, both of ours are very very young. Y. Yeah,
- 37:40Speaker 2: my daughter's only years old.
- 37:41Speaker 4: So how so how how old are the kids?
- 37:43Speaker 2: What? Eight? Nine?
- 37:44Speaker 4: Is that?
- 37:45Speaker 2: How I would assume that these kids are.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Somebody they were taking are eleven?
- 37:52Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah?
- 37:52Speaker 3: That makes it was I mean, I mean, honestly, man, like,
- 37:55Speaker 3: I'm so that this show makes me go from like
- 37:58Speaker 3: that show to so much other stuff that I have
- 38:00Speaker 3: even gone back and rewatched. This last week's episodes have
- 38:02Speaker 3: been so deep in like other stuff. So I don't remember, like,
- 38:06Speaker 3: you know, if the verse of the ages, but imagine
- 38:08Speaker 3: it actually good by the way.
- 38:11Speaker 4: Jod, Yeah, I would okay, job, I would would, Okay
- 38:15Speaker 4: I would or something like that.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but like kids going like and that's the most
- 38:20Speaker 2: terrifying thing. So, uh my my little brother got lost
- 38:26Speaker 2: at a strawberry festival when we were kids, and it
- 38:30Speaker 2: took them like six hours to find him. And thinking
- 38:35Speaker 2: that these group of kids are not just like maybe
- 38:41Speaker 2: like a couple of yards away, are literally light years
- 38:44Speaker 2: away from their home planet and they are lost, like
- 38:49Speaker 2: it is a scary thought. It is a very like
- 38:52Speaker 2: mind blowing idea that you know what this plot is
- 38:56Speaker 2: really about. But then they get down to being like, okay, well,
- 39:00Speaker 2: you know, nobody knows where we live. It is some
- 39:04Speaker 2: sort of mythical place. We don't know, like we always
- 39:08Speaker 2: thought that we had a very boring home, Like how
- 39:13Speaker 2: are we going to do this? Surprisingly with the idea
- 39:18Speaker 2: of it being a mythical world, I do like how
- 39:21Speaker 2: there are breadcrumbs to you know, get to get back
- 39:26Speaker 2: to at in because we.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Do get to.
- 39:30Speaker 2: This place, this moon, and we find this individual this
- 39:35Speaker 2: is the.
- 39:38Speaker 5: She's so it's Kim, not spelled the traditional way like
- 39:42Speaker 5: my mother's name, but she's like a cat owl type thing.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Okay, that's what I put in my notes, I said,
- 39:51Speaker 2: I said an owl cat.
- 39:53Speaker 5: So yeah, no species name or anything, but yeah, I
- 40:00Speaker 5: I want to talk about this before we get into that,
- 40:02Speaker 5: because this is kind of connected to the great Works
- 40:06Speaker 5: and everything. But Kim brings out this. It's not a map.
- 40:14Speaker 5: It's like, I can't remember what she called it, but
- 40:17Speaker 5: it's basically like this drawing of nine planets that the
- 40:21Speaker 5: Old Republic had developed and had hidden treasures on, but
- 40:26Speaker 5: the only one that survived was on because.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Everybody translated that stuff.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Yet. Because I saw that and almost lost my mind,
- 40:36Speaker 3: I had to like go somewhere directly after I watched
- 40:38Speaker 3: the episode, so I didn't just like sit there and
- 40:40Speaker 3: like decipher or translate anything.
- 40:42Speaker 4: But do we know what I haven't read yet?
- 40:45Speaker 5: I hadn't seen any translations. But my question here is
- 40:52Speaker 5: is she talking about the Old Republic as in like
- 40:56Speaker 5: the prequel trilogy Republic or is she referenced saying the
- 41:01Speaker 5: Old Republic like in Legends.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I think she's referencing from like from what I've seen,
- 41:07Speaker 3: and I don't know, I'm sure.
- 41:10Speaker 2: The Jewels of the Old Republic.
- 41:12Speaker 5: All Right, y'all, we're going to hit our first ad
- 41:14Speaker 5: break and we will be right back in three two one, Yeah,
- 41:18Speaker 5: and I.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Think that means prequel Republic because when they were talking
- 41:22Speaker 3: about what the money was, they called it Old Republic money.
- 41:26Speaker 3: But the money that they have is clearly just.
- 41:30Speaker 5: You know, it's not like that the credits like the
- 41:33Speaker 5: prequel trilogy.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the prequel electrilogy, right, So like though that
- 41:36Speaker 3: would and then the High Republic is kind of what
- 41:40Speaker 3: they've been referring it to. So changing what we know
- 41:43Speaker 3: as the Old Republican legends is now just I think canonically,
- 41:48Speaker 3: the High Republic is what it feels like as far
- 41:51Speaker 3: as you know, they've they've given us because I wouldn't
- 41:55Speaker 3: think that it would be that old. Unless it is
- 41:57Speaker 3: that old, then they've been there long, a lot longer
- 41:59Speaker 3: than me think, and that's even cooler. So like, let's
- 42:03Speaker 3: do it because Will thinks every alien he sees is weird,
- 42:06Speaker 3: and I or not thinks every alien is weird, and
- 42:09Speaker 3: I think that's hilarious.
- 42:11Speaker 5: So the Eras, and this is Star Wars dot Com
- 42:15Speaker 5: slash Eras, they have Dawn of the Jedi first, the
- 42:19Speaker 5: Old Republic, the High Republic follow the Jedi reign of
- 42:23Speaker 5: the Empire, Age of Rebellion, the New Republic, Rise of
- 42:27Speaker 5: the First Order, New Jedi Order. So the Old Republic
- 42:30Speaker 5: is actually an era in there that's before the High Republic.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Super what they do, Let's see what they do.
- 42:38Speaker 2: I like how this is a very and uh, I
- 42:44Speaker 2: don't know if a lot of people are gonna.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Get This'll give me a second. I'll be right back.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Yeah, from I don't know if Adrian, I don't know
- 42:51Speaker 2: if you're a huge fan of the anime series Dragon
- 42:55Speaker 2: Ball z.
- 42:56Speaker 4: Uh, yeah, I mean I got some I got some
- 42:59Speaker 4: things if you can see him.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Okay, So I don't know if you're currently watching Dima
- 43:04Speaker 2: right now.
- 43:05Speaker 4: Ah, I mean, don't hate me for this, but I'm
- 43:08Speaker 4: just waiting for the dev personally.
- 43:10Speaker 2: That's not that's not a problem at all. Yeah, I
- 43:12Speaker 2: will tell you this without actually spoiling anything.
- 43:15Speaker 5: Uh.
- 43:16Speaker 2: There seems to be minor retcons to tell a grander
- 43:20Speaker 2: story and let's do the dragon Ball universe. And I
- 43:26Speaker 2: feel like that's what Skeleton Crew is essentially doing, minor
- 43:33Speaker 2: subtle retconning in the sense of, hey, we haven't really
- 43:37Speaker 2: been able to tell an Old Republic story, but here's
- 43:40Speaker 2: some connective tissue for us to eventually touch.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Them on that, you know, so like setting up some
- 43:46Speaker 3: stuff from from later, so like this is something that
- 43:48Speaker 3: we haven't even seen yet, Like this can be a reference.
- 43:51Speaker 3: It will be like, oh, that's from Donna, or that's
- 43:53Speaker 3: from Donna the Jedi exactly. Okay, that'd be cool. I'd
- 43:57Speaker 3: be down this personally. I don't think so, but I'd
- 44:00Speaker 3: love to see it. I could say if they're swinging,
- 44:04Speaker 3: if they're swinging, like let's swing, let's go, let's go big,
- 44:07Speaker 3: because then it would really feel like they're trying to
- 44:09Speaker 3: bring all of us who've been doing the High Republic
- 44:11Speaker 3: stuff for so long into the show. So we can
- 44:14Speaker 3: have conversations like this of like you, it might be
- 44:17Speaker 3: older than you think if you really think about it.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Well, and that's the thing, like we know, just with
- 44:24Speaker 2: the announcements and everything else, we know that the Dawn
- 44:29Speaker 2: of the Jedi movie, James Mangold's movie, Yeah, is you know,
- 44:34Speaker 2: going to be coming out eventually. Let's go ahead and
- 44:38Speaker 2: drop some breadcrumbs now, so that way when the movie
- 44:43Speaker 2: comes out, there's people who have these aha moments of like,
- 44:47Speaker 2: oh that was in Skeleton Crew, you know, And I
- 44:50Speaker 2: think that's what this might potentially be doing. And again
- 44:56Speaker 2: people say, well, people will hear Old Republic and think
- 45:01Speaker 2: Legends and Knights of the Old republican all of these
- 45:03Speaker 2: other things, where it actually means well, yes and no,
- 45:07Speaker 2: but here's how we're doing Disney's Old Republic that even
- 45:11Speaker 2: tested yet.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean that's what they're doing. That's it.
- 45:14Speaker 3: I think that's what they're doing with the Crimson jackline
- 45:17Speaker 3: that they they drop like one hundred percent, that's what
- 45:19Speaker 3: that's what they're talking about, you know, because there's no
- 45:22Speaker 3: way he's the actual Crimson Jack from Legends or from Cannon,
- 45:25Speaker 3: because he's either really young or really old, and he's
- 45:29Speaker 3: gonna either want one of the two. He would have
- 45:32Speaker 3: had to have either gotten very small and lost all
- 45:35Speaker 3: of his red hair and beard or gotten very buff
- 45:38Speaker 3: and lost his red hair and beard. But either way,
- 45:40Speaker 3: it gets you to go look at other Star Wars stories,
- 45:44Speaker 3: which is what I've been doing all day because that's
- 45:47Speaker 3: the libs.
- 45:47Speaker 2: It's like like, hey, and that's what I want to
- 45:50Speaker 2: be here as somebody who, of course I call Katie
- 45:55Speaker 2: the Queen of Star Wars history. Here on this show, Adrian,
- 46:01Speaker 2: Katie indulge me teach me who is Crimson Jack.
- 46:06Speaker 5: We're gonna go into our second ad break and we'll
- 46:10Speaker 5: be right back. Adrian, I will let you go for
- 46:13Speaker 5: this since you just did your video.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, I just wrapped up a kind
- 46:19Speaker 3: of video talking about So Crimson Jack is a pirate character,
- 46:23Speaker 3: very space piratey, but his original entry into the universe
- 46:26Speaker 3: was in nineteen seventy seven in a Marvel comic. But
- 46:30Speaker 3: he's like very traditional, like I'm a pirate yard like
- 46:34Speaker 3: basically what we see in Skeleton Crew, did some stuff
- 46:37Speaker 3: with Hans Solo in like Zero Beat Aby, so like
- 46:41Speaker 3: very early thing right, doesn't really do much outside of that.
- 46:45Speaker 3: We don't even really see too much pirate stuff like
- 46:47Speaker 3: in the movies or things like that to begin with.
- 46:50Speaker 3: But what we do get is in twenty twenty two
- 46:52Speaker 3: that helsy On Legacy comic that comes out that is
- 46:56Speaker 3: supposed to be like the background story for the Galactic
- 46:58Speaker 3: star Cruiser that di Isney World experience, Crimson Jack had
- 47:03Speaker 3: attacked that ship at some point, or that had attacked
- 47:07Speaker 3: that ship in was it thirty four a b y,
- 47:09Speaker 3: So that is first order era thing. So they brought
- 47:13Speaker 3: him back into the Cannon but in a much different
- 47:16Speaker 3: timeframe to set up the Galactic star Cruiser as a thing,
- 47:20Speaker 3: like to the point where in the in the muster,
- 47:23Speaker 3: at the at the Helcion, the captain would be like,
- 47:26Speaker 3: only we've only ever had to press this button one time,
- 47:29Speaker 3: like the emergency button or whatever, and that one time
- 47:32Speaker 3: was literally the Crimson Jack storyline of the thing.
- 47:36Speaker 4: So that's like all we've ever really known of Crimson Jack.
- 47:39Speaker 3: At the end of the story, he's he's like, he's like,
- 47:41Speaker 3: he's like literally like the god damn they got away.
- 47:44Speaker 4: They tricked me. It's like a super five five issue thing.
- 47:47Speaker 4: It's super super straightforward.
- 47:48Speaker 3: But that's it. So when they mentioned Crimson Jack here,
- 47:51Speaker 3: there's no way that this dude in nine A b
- 47:53Speaker 3: Y is Crimson Jack. So the question is, would be
- 47:57Speaker 3: nuts nuts if you if this dude is that Crimson Jack,
- 48:01Speaker 3: this story is going to be crazy because how do
- 48:04Speaker 3: we get from that to that in twenty five years?
- 48:06Speaker 4: I want to know so best, So I don't think he's.
- 48:10Speaker 5: The Crimson Jack from the House Down Legacy comic. What
- 48:15Speaker 5: if this is a dread Pirate Roberts situation.
- 48:18Speaker 4: Oh, set it up, set it up. I set me up,
- 48:23Speaker 4: because set me up. Let's do it.
- 48:25Speaker 3: That's what That's what we were talking about when I
- 48:26Speaker 3: was trying to explain it to my to my friend
- 48:28Speaker 3: who's in the chat, when they said they did a
- 48:30Speaker 3: gasp and then yelled.
- 48:33Speaker 5: I did.
- 48:33Speaker 4: I did, like the like the twenty two Jump Street
- 48:38Speaker 4: when Chinese's like, oh shit.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Oh sh.
- 48:43Speaker 4: Crimson, I love Katie.
- 48:46Speaker 2: This is the when will we learn our lesson Katie?
- 48:49Speaker 2: This is the second show where we have pitched oh
- 48:53Speaker 2: They're gonna dread a dread dread part roberts Us because
- 48:58Speaker 2: we did we said the same thing about uh plays
- 49:02Speaker 2: and everything else and act like you know, putting on
- 49:04Speaker 2: our tin foil hats and now we're doing it here
- 49:06Speaker 2: with this gallants and crew.
- 49:08Speaker 5: But this is like legit.
- 49:09Speaker 3: This is like.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Like a it makes total sense.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah, But how does this dude become like
- 49:18Speaker 3: the big thing? Like what is like how does that happen?
- 49:21Speaker 4: Like how does that scene come together? How does that
- 49:24Speaker 4: moment happen?
- 49:25Speaker 2: Right there?
- 49:26Speaker 3: In nine a B y on this Star Wars timeline
- 49:28Speaker 3: talking about timelines and like the progressions of everything. So
- 49:32Speaker 3: it's just like a super super cool niche and like
- 49:35Speaker 3: it feels like a celibratory callback, Like I feel like
- 49:38Speaker 3: a very small portion of the population went oh shit
- 49:41Speaker 3: at the same time, at the very same time across
- 49:44Speaker 3: the planet, and I felt like I got to be
- 49:45Speaker 3: a part of that because I felt like I was rewarded. Katie,
- 49:48Speaker 3: we get rewarded in this new era of being nerves
- 49:51Speaker 3: who were digging deep into like these supers that no
- 49:55Speaker 3: one's ever going to read. I love it because and
- 49:57Speaker 3: then that's why my wife in the chat there, who
- 50:00Speaker 3: was also said.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Fannie Stefani, excuse.
- 50:05Speaker 5: Me, gotcha?
- 50:07Speaker 4: You got it? You got it.
- 50:10Speaker 5: So I did that twice in this episode. Once when
- 50:12Speaker 5: I heard Alfred Molino's character, I was sitting there and
- 50:17Speaker 5: Matt was asleep and the baby was asleep, and I
- 50:19Speaker 5: was like, Okay, I know who this is. Who the
- 50:22Speaker 5: heck is this? And I went into the credits later
- 50:25Speaker 5: and they didn't have the guest starring in there, so
- 50:27Speaker 5: I couldn't figure out who it was. And then it
- 50:29Speaker 5: popped up on Twitter later. But then with the Crimson Jack,
- 50:32Speaker 5: I was like, that's a reference. Because I didn't remember
- 50:35Speaker 5: the comics specifically, but I recognized Crimson Jack. I was like,
- 50:40Speaker 5: I had to go look it up.
- 50:41Speaker 3: It's it's super scary, and I'll go a little bit deeper.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna brag on myself, so not like a little
- 50:45Speaker 3: this is like a really a brag thing.
- 50:46Speaker 4: I'm gonna get it, dude.
- 50:49Speaker 3: But like I obviously I had reviewed, so I went
- 50:52Speaker 3: to the backscar Cruiser in twenty twenty two. It was
- 50:55Speaker 3: announced in twenty whatever. So I've been like saving like
- 50:58Speaker 3: this entire time. And then I reviewed at issues one
- 51:01Speaker 3: through five of that comic that has Crimson Jack getting
- 51:03Speaker 3: foiled with working at the First Order all this stuff forever.
- 51:07Speaker 3: So I knew what the story. I knew going I
- 51:10Speaker 3: knew what the Health Sun was like as a story
- 51:12Speaker 3: thing in the things. I was really excited to be
- 51:13Speaker 3: immersed in that. And then when the captain, who is
- 51:16Speaker 3: the same captain from that from the comic series is saying, oh,
- 51:20Speaker 3: only the one time, I was like, I'm gonna go
- 51:21Speaker 3: ask her about it. I'm gonna go ask her about it.
- 51:23Speaker 3: I went to go ask her and I was like, hey,
- 51:25Speaker 3: is that one time the time with with Crimson Jack?
- 51:29Speaker 3: And she was like, how do you know about Crimson Jack?
- 51:32Speaker 3: And then she and then she was like meet me.
- 51:35Speaker 3: I must she like got on her like her old
- 51:37Speaker 3: data path. She's like, meet me here at twelve or whatever,
- 51:40Speaker 3: and they went. It was like a group of like
- 51:42Speaker 3: a bunch of people who I guess had maybe asked
- 51:44Speaker 3: about the same thing or something like I'm like a
- 51:46Speaker 3: little side mission things where we were getting like behind
- 51:51Speaker 3: the scenes stuff of like the incoming attack that was
- 51:53Speaker 3: about to happen. And I was like, oh, because I
- 51:56Speaker 3: read a fucking cop Star Wars comic, I knew about
- 51:59Speaker 3: this up your ass character.
- 52:01Speaker 4: That's validation. That's real life validation. So that's great, man,
- 52:05Speaker 4: It's it's it's great, you know, even if it even
- 52:08Speaker 4: if it means nothing, it could be nothing to me, Katie,
- 52:10Speaker 4: Like it could not be anything. It could just be
- 52:12Speaker 4: like that's all it could be to me, and I'd
- 52:14Speaker 4: be happy. Yeah.
- 52:16Speaker 5: Also, I am sorry if you hear mar in the background,
- 52:19Speaker 5: we are like sleep training quote like trying, so she's.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Not we Well I was gonna say, we've been there,
- 52:27Speaker 2: but I have been there, Katie. You hear you heard
- 52:30Speaker 2: Amberlin screaming at the top of her lungs on the
- 52:33Speaker 2: show before. I totally understand it. I can't hear anything,
- 52:36Speaker 2: So I think we'll be going back. We get this
- 52:43Speaker 2: like very subtle history of what life is like on
- 52:47Speaker 2: at Aten because we are trying Kim is trying to
- 52:52Speaker 2: basically use them as a map, which I think, which
- 52:55Speaker 2: I loved, a really cool concept. It's like, okay, we
- 52:59Speaker 2: don't have an action map. We will just learn some
- 53:01Speaker 2: things from you guys. Hey, what are some close by
- 53:05Speaker 2: you know plants? Oh, well we can't. We don't know
- 53:07Speaker 2: about any plants because of the barrier.
- 53:08Speaker 4: Barrier.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Oh that's interesting.
- 53:10Speaker 4: What is that?
- 53:10Speaker 2: Oh it's kind of cloudy and all this other stuff.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Like I love how like ignorance is bliss for one
- 53:19Speaker 2: for these kids, it's just like, oh, you know, just whatever.
- 53:22Speaker 2: And here's Kim just typing away and typing away and
- 53:25Speaker 2: typing away. Not a whole lot there with the barrier.
- 53:29Speaker 2: I'm still very interested about the barrier because again.
- 53:33Speaker 5: Does Kim acts like it was nebulous gases. Yeah, and
- 53:37Speaker 5: not like an actual barrier.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Which we have all talked about with last week with
- 53:44Speaker 2: possible storm seeds and warm wall technology and all.
- 53:48Speaker 4: Of these technology.
- 53:49Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, sorry, I just thought of this because I'm
- 53:54Speaker 5: meant to bring this up earlier, and this is completely
- 53:56Speaker 5: off topic from like the nebulous gases in the planet
- 54:01Speaker 5: hunt did. John seemed to be very familiar with the
- 54:07Speaker 5: Onyx sender when he was walking around and he was
- 54:10Speaker 5: popping hatches to get the kids into the gun seats.
- 54:16Speaker 2: Like you like he's been before.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I just if you just just no ships,
- 54:24Speaker 4: you know, the same way.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Then did ask He asked me what is the ship called?
- 54:33Speaker 4: Yeah, he wants to.
- 54:34Speaker 5: Ask what the ship was called. But then when they
- 54:37Speaker 5: go to get to the ship off of Borgo and
- 54:40Speaker 5: they're in like the little fairy ship thing, and he's.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Like, oh, no, your ship. Yeah, Like I think he
- 54:49Speaker 2: knows what well.
- 54:50Speaker 3: I think I think it's tough because you go back
- 54:52Speaker 3: to like the Force Awakens. She's like, oh, not that one,
- 54:55Speaker 3: That one's God And she doesn't know that that's the
- 54:57Speaker 3: Millennium freaking Falcon until tells him it's the Millennium freaking Falcon.
- 55:02Speaker 4: So yeah, I think it might.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Be that he just knows that it's an old ship,
- 55:04Speaker 3: like that ship shouldn't be their type thing, right, Like
- 55:07Speaker 3: if you found like a pirate ship, you're just.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Like what I wonder?
- 55:11Speaker 4: I mean, like what happened?
- 55:12Speaker 2: Right?
- 55:12Speaker 4: They found like a pirate ship like.
- 55:14Speaker 2: So I wonder if he's I don't know, I wonder
- 55:18Speaker 2: if he is just like an experienced pirate who has
- 55:21Speaker 2: done like he knows, he's like a history buff with pirates,
- 55:25Speaker 2: you know, And maybe that's what this is. I mean,
- 55:28Speaker 2: because it's no coincidence that, you know. I think it's
- 55:32Speaker 2: confirmation enough that people have have said enough things online.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Smee is definitely a reference to Captain hook uh and
- 55:40Speaker 2: and Peter Pan and all of that. Like we I
- 55:44Speaker 2: feel like there is going to be an episode this
- 55:48Speaker 2: in this season or in this series where Smee is
- 55:51Speaker 2: going to talk about his old crew, because we have
- 55:54Speaker 2: not heard anything about his entire crew yet. We know
- 55:59Speaker 2: that there's two dead he's in there, but that's it.
- 56:03Speaker 2: So like I feel like just to add some nuance
- 56:07Speaker 2: to the story and to add some backstory to why
- 56:10Speaker 2: exactly this ship was on at and I feel like
- 56:13Speaker 2: there is going to be something there for us to
- 56:16Speaker 2: kind of, you know, either hold on to and be like, Okay,
- 56:21Speaker 2: this is going to be very important to the story
- 56:23Speaker 2: moving forward, or just like a we'll have an AHA
- 56:27Speaker 2: moment with with this, you know, flashback or whatever it
- 56:30Speaker 2: may be, to be like, oh, that's why Crimson Jack
- 56:35Speaker 2: knows about this ship. You know, That's what I think.
- 56:41Speaker 5: I could totally see that. I know next week is
- 56:45Speaker 5: supposed to be the Neil specific episode, right, I think.
- 56:50Speaker 2: The is it the Don Brothers who did that episode?
- 56:55Speaker 2: Daniels Daniels, Sorry, I'm I'm I'm thinking and see I
- 57:01Speaker 2: recently did a revamp of my Ranger Alliance show. Don
- 57:05Speaker 2: Brothers are SENTI related stuff, so you know, little hint
- 57:12Speaker 2: hint for anybody who's waiting for Ranger Alliance to come
- 57:16Speaker 2: back on the Key Golden Alliance Network. But uh, we
- 57:21Speaker 2: are doing this whole history thing. We talked about the barriers.
- 57:26Speaker 2: They're telling a little bit more history about like you
- 57:28Speaker 2: know about at Aten, and Berne is recognized with the
- 57:35Speaker 2: patch on her backpack and so Cam is like, what
- 57:38Speaker 2: is that? You know this means something?
- 57:40Speaker 5: You know?
- 57:41Speaker 4: And did did?
- 57:43Speaker 5: Did?
- 57:44Speaker 2: Have we seen anything? Because I don't think there was
- 57:47Speaker 2: really any kind of like.
- 57:48Speaker 5: Marrish numerals is the term she used, and that was
- 57:52Speaker 5: not on Wikipedia anywhere.
- 57:55Speaker 2: So this might be a new thing.
- 57:57Speaker 3: Okay, So I yeah, I haven't seen the episode again,
- 58:01Speaker 3: but yeah, I'd be curious to see if anyone if
- 58:06Speaker 3: it was something.
- 58:09Speaker 4: I didn't see anything at first glance. When it happened,
- 58:11Speaker 4: I was like, oh shit. It was more like, oh,
- 58:14Speaker 4: I can't wait for someone smarter than me to tell me.
- 58:18Speaker 5: So.
- 58:18Speaker 2: But this is around the time where Crimson Jack is like, hey,
- 58:21Speaker 2: you know, you probably could have figured this out a
- 58:23Speaker 2: long time ago. It's almost like you're stalling for something.
- 58:27Speaker 2: And he turns up the radio. Here's the X Wings
- 58:31Speaker 2: that are on their way, and it tells, you know,
- 58:33Speaker 2: Kim to call them off. We need to run. We're
- 58:36Speaker 2: gonna escape, and thus the scene with the kids being
- 58:40Speaker 2: way too excited to murk people ensues. I thought this
- 58:48Speaker 2: scene was very, very fun, although kind of intense and scary.
- 58:52Speaker 2: The fact that Neil was in charge of the ship
- 58:55Speaker 2: for a little bit as far as flying then Captain
- 59:00Speaker 2: or Crimson Jack, Like, I love how he goes like
- 59:04Speaker 2: super low to the ground to the moon, yeah, and
- 59:06Speaker 2: like kicks up all of that dust to get seems
- 59:10Speaker 2: to kind of back up.
- 59:11Speaker 4: Yeah, that's good, that's good. Yeah.
- 59:14Speaker 3: I just love the implications of kids shooting at X Wings.
- 59:17Speaker 3: I think it's Wars has ever done, dude, I think
- 59:21Speaker 3: it's close thing Star Wars has ever done.
- 59:22Speaker 4: I don't know if either of you've played Outlaws yet.
- 59:25Speaker 2: I haven't had the chance yet.
- 59:27Speaker 3: Yeah, if if you play a little bit like very
- 59:29Speaker 3: very minor sports, that happens like in like the first question,
- 59:31Speaker 3: it's kind of like one of the biggest things of
- 59:33Speaker 3: the thing.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Uh.
- 59:34Speaker 3: But like the the Rebel Alliance betrays you as like
- 59:38Speaker 3: the main character, like very early in the game, and
- 59:40Speaker 3: you have to like sit there with the fact that
- 59:42Speaker 3: they leave you to die, and that the Protectors and
- 59:47Speaker 3: the kind of like we were talking about how they
- 59:49Speaker 3: see Crimson Jack because I'm calling Crimson jackets, we figure
- 59:53Speaker 3: out what his real name is, h intental Crimson Jack
- 59:56Speaker 3: figures it out like he thinks that, like heat they
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: he is the j Jedi, the Jedi who's gonna save them, right.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: And kay for who doesn't really know anybody either, very
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: similar to these kids. Once she's off that planet, she
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: doesn't know who job of the Hut is, She doesn't
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: know who all these these people are. These are just
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: people to her, right, So I think having it be
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: just so apparent that like no one really can be
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: no anyone can be anybody.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Right, Like you don't have to be the Jedi. That
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: and I think that might be what Wim is learning here.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: They doesn't have to be a Jedi.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: He can just be he can just be doing good
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: things because that's what he that's what he said he
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: wanted to be. He never said he wanted to be
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: a Jedi. He wanted to go do good things. And
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: how often do we see and this is what I'm
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: thinking about now, like what if like Crimson Jack was
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: like that. Maybe he didn't want to be a Jedi,
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: maybe he was for sensitive, but he wanted to be
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: a Jedi. He just wanted to do good things and
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: he just kind of fell into the wrong crowd something
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: something something here we are.
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: But kids kids doing that.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: That's like kids fight fire at the cops, because the
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: New Republic at this time are cops right now, huncks.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: New republic socks are so inept. They're so inept.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: They they need to they need to be put put
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: into place a little bit and show kids that you
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: don't have to just be a Jedi. You don't have
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: to go be, but you can go be a good pirate.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: And what did they shows them being some good pirates here?
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: You know that that could be very well the case.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: It's like I saw you gotta be a Jedi. You
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: can just be a good a good person with a lightsaber.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Well, I I I saw somebody uh share a gift
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: of Treasure Planet, which is literally my favorite Disney animated movie.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: And you know, you look at those characters in Treasure Planet,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Jim Hawkins and Uh and the Cyborg, and how like
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: he was a bad guy. He was always meant to
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: be the bad guy. But then he has a soft heart,
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: and there's a lot of things that I can see.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: You're like, oh, yeah, this is exactly how it could
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: kind of turn out. You're talking about how oh you know,
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: there's this implementation that Crimson Jack probably was for sensitive
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: didn't want to be a Jedi. We've kind of seen
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: that already in the High Republic with the Blade his sister.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: You know, the implications of like, hey, I was always
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: I always thought I was meant to do good things.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: I thought the Jedi were going to do that for me,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: But hey, I'm not really like we're math were going down.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: So Morbin Anakin, so many these Jedi just want to
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: do good things. Anakin, since he was a boy, all
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: he wanted to do was help people. That's all he
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: wanted to do that. Dude could have been anything, that
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: could have been a fantastic racing pilot, could have done
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: a lot of good for charity or something.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: But now he became a Jedi and like used his power.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: It's just choice. Choice, Giving the kids choice.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Is what we're seeing so much in Star Wars right
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: now with the Acolyte and now Skeleton Crew, of very
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: open choice that it doesn't have to be just Jedi.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Go be a mechnic, Go be a mechnic. If you
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: want to go be a mechnic. You don't got to
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: go be a jedgic because you're for sensitive.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: Yeah, your specialness is special because of other things, not
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: you're special because of you, not because of the force.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: That's also another thing that we did. We kind of
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: just skipped right over. Fern is very adamant on No
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: he's not a Jedi. No, he's not a Jedi. There's
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: plenty of other ways that you can make look like
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: things are floating.
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: I love that.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Do we think that he's actually for sensitive or was
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: it a play on you know, magnets or mirrors or
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: really thin string.
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: I think he's actually for sensitive, And I think he
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: even has like some sort of like official training, like
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: maybe he did actually escape Order sixty six. I know,
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: like we're not like we're done with like Jedi like
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: being able to escape things.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: But I feel like he has. I hope not.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: The galaxy is huge. I hope that more.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: That's what like.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: We've talked about times, not even general audience. A lot
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: of cry babies don't think that there should be that
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: many survivors in the galaxy.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: I wish more than died.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: What yeah, hello, the galaxy is so freaking vast, and
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: so I said that it's kind of like a joke.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: Okay, got yeah.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: I feel like he survived Order sixty six and has
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: like some sort.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: Of training and better at hiding.
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: Yeah, better at hiding.
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: He's not because because.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Even if he did survive, if even if he had
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: some kind of training something, he's he does not cut
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: off from the forest.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: He didn't shut it out when he was feeling it,
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: whenever he was feeling it.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Right, how many of those should I that we surviv
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Orders six six, Order sixty six cut them off or
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: who go into exile, who like literally cut himself off
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: and don't even do the force anymore, even the most
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: powerful or ever like Luke cut himself off the goat
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: quote unquote, you know, so he didn't do it. So
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: he has some some story that means that I want
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: to figure it out and find out what it is.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: But he he turns into like the Moniker of Crimson
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: Jack and like he's like a drag power Roberts. I
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: want to see how he did it because I think.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: That that's crazy because he's not He's not a redhead, right,
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: He's not a red head. I'm not mistaken, right, but hey.
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: Maybe that's why he wears the helmet.
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: Mmm helmet it could racistripes with red flames. Yeah.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: But we leave the moon and Kim tells these uh
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: X wing pilots when they ask where did they go? Anyway, Well,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: if I told you, you wouldn't believe me. And then
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: in credits, I thought that was very classic, like clip,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: very cheesy. Loved it anyway. I love the close up
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: but kind of zoom in on Kim at the very
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: end there.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: But that's the thing is is Kim. Kim's clothes did
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: as anyone talked about Kim's clothes.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: And we're about to jump into our third ad y'all.
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: We promise we'll be right back. We promise.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: They look like Jedi roby right they It was very
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: robe esque, I will say yes, Like is she like
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: an art like an archivist the Jedi thing going on here?
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: Is that like why she has so much information, so
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: much knowledge about ancient stuff, because like they're the kind
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: of keepers of all of that information for for better
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: or worse for a world.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: All the time, it wouldn't make but she looked and
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: then like the connection there with with Crimson Jack and
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: is Crimson Jack?
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Like is that the stupid name he used that one time?
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Like you know, you know black Widow and Hawkeye type.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Thing like oh back in Budapest, you know.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: That wet type line.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it. I think it very fun.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: I think market we came up with that right now.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: I think it would be a very fun connection. And
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: then even even there being like a little bit of
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: like animosity towards them of like yeah, oh, like you
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: chose that, you chose this, she's gonna stab us in
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: the back. And then like even her she's like, you know,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: what are you doing with these kids? Like there's something
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: there that if there, if there was a connection, if
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: She is a archivist, a librarian of sorts for some
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: sort of temple out there in the galaxy. And Crimson
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Jack was the Jedi. Again, all tinfoil hats here, But
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: that's what we love about that's what we love about
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Star Wars Alliance and Star Wars as a whole. Yeah,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: and we're not.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: I'm not married to any of it. Anything can happen,
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Anything can happen.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: And I think that's the best part about these shows now,
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: is just like, hey, I love the fact that people
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: are cooking with these theories because it is like crazy,
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: they're wild, they're fun. But I love it.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: It's even it's even funnier.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: It's even funnier after last week coming to this week
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: and being like, hey, yeah, we knew you were gonna
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: do that.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: We knew that, we knew you're gonna have that theory.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: Love how so many people are so close together when
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: it comes to the theories. It's like, oh, there is
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: like a connective chain here, Let's see how this goes.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: It's the Force.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: I really love it. I love it. But that is
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: it for the episode. Uh, this one was in total
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: I believe a good minstal. The credits rolled at thirty
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: three fifteen is when the credits rolled here. I thought
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: this one so the first two episodes, that second episode,
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: Oh can you keep a secret? In credits, I would
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: so angry because I wanted more. This was so fulfilling
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: in answering a lot of the questions that we had
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: immediately after the second episode, while also giving me new
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: information to kind of sit on and ponder on and
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: think about and like, Okay, I'm gonna be ready for
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: the next episode. Let's go. Like I felt satisfied with
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: this episode. I wasn't too upset about only thirty three
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: minutes or whatever. Yeah, they could have gone further, but
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: I felt like this one was pretty nice.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I gave it a ten.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: It's one of the easiest tens I've ever given a
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: Star Wars project, I think. Ever, Yeah, I thought it
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: was a banger start to finish. I thought last week
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: and even in my review for But Why, though, I
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: said that we have to be aware here. I don't
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: like we're hype now, but we are to be aware
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: that time can be an issue. And we saw a
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: significant drop from episode one episode two and timing, and
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: I think the pacing felt that a little bit like
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: that episode definitely feel rush, whether or not we're supposed
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: to feel rush because they want you inside the kid's
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: head or versus like a budget issue or whatever is
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: like near the hero there it feels rushed, But this
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: episode felt good, like I didn't even I so for
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: for for me, I had the episode happened at six
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: I had to be somewhere at six fifteen. I saw
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: the episode length, I was like, man, that's a good
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: episode length. Okay, cool, we're gonna be able to get
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: out of here on time. By the time it finished,
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: I was like, I just want to talk about it.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: I just want to talk about it. I want to
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: go rewatch it, I want to go do whatever. I
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: In thirty three minutes, dude flew by, like that's a
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: good that felt like not Saturday Morning cartoonsy kind of thing,
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: but like a good you know, weekly network television, Like hey,
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: did you see what happened last week on fucking Skeleton Crew?
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: God damn yeah, there was. I used this reference a lot,
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: and I know that we haven't really heard of food
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: reference from Travis in a very long time, but this
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: had a lot of meat and potatoes in it, Like,
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I do love that about this show right now, because
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: they they it does have some heavy implications and things,
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: and it gives you a lot of that information to
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: feed to get kind of feed on and you're like, Okay,
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: I am fool I am rested. Where's dessert? Like where's
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Where's where's second breakfast?
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: You know kind of yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so very.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: Very fun stuff. Adrian. I want to say thank you
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: for jumping on. You were always welcome to come.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: On show me in every week until we're out of here, man,
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: until the season's overall.
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: Yeah, let's do it.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: Let's do it, sure, Adrian. Now, I know that you
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: at one point were very very and still are because
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: I even shared one of your videos with my wife
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: the other day with with TikTok. Why don't you share
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: with our audience where you're active, what you're doing. And
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: I know that Katie referenced some sort of video on
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Crimson Jack, So if you have something to share with that,
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean, I'm I'm at super resninety three
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: basically kind of everywhere, most active right now on Instagram
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: and TikTok, and I'm gonna be doing like I'm working
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: on a video right now to talk about like Crimson
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: Jack kind of like why I told you guys about
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: the healthy on experience, and like why I think like
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: that specific name drop reference is so big and some
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: of the things that Skelton Crew is doing. I just
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: really love Star Wars. I just really love Star Wars.
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: I think it's doing a lot of great things. So
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: I'm taking a lot of time to just talk about that.
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: And then other than that, you can find me writing it.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: But why though, and doing things over there.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: I wore my Digital Eclipse hat to remind myself to
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: plug reader's rewind that just came out on the tenth.
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: It is fantastic.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Go get it.
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: I have it on steam Deck. It works right on
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: steam Deck. Please get it on your steam Deck. Perfect
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: game for it.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: Other than that, find me here next week to talk
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: to you guys about whatever the heck happens, because I'm
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: here for it, all.

- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Fanboy play on Blue Sky, on on Instagram as well.

- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Blue Sky. I am trying to lean a little bit
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: more towards my job being in the comic book industry,
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: going to be plugging a lot of stuff every single
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: month with our catalog that we have at my job,

- 1:13:48Speaker 2: into the switch drops on the nineteenth, which I like,
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm actually gonna wait that long.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: I might just go git on the PlayStation or Xbox
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: this right now. It's so good, it's so good, getting
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: really excited to jump in on that. I love the
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: idea of the couch co op aspect as well as
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: the online play aspect of it as well, and it's
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: just so nostalgic with the eight bit sixteen bit looks
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: so uh really going to be jumping into that, and
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: we're even talking about possibly recording some gameplay with.
