- 0:00Speaker 1: Folks, Welcome to today's Phil Skit Show, a sketch show
- 0:03Speaker 1: that we draw from our podcast archives and these other
- 0:07Speaker 1: shows that we did. Following our time in radio, we
- 0:10Speaker 1: started a whole new thing, you know. We began to
- 0:13Speaker 1: just improv character sketches and improv skits different panel show
- 0:19Speaker 1: presentations and sort of went off the deep end with
- 0:22Speaker 1: a lot of this stuff. And here's one from twenty nineteen. Now,
- 0:25Speaker 1: this is a Rory replay. We call him Rory Replays
- 0:27Speaker 1: because one of our good friends, Rory McLoud, who's also
- 0:29Speaker 1: our it's our archivest, you know, he tends to keep
- 0:33Speaker 1: an eye and stuff on our website. Rory recommended this
- 0:36Speaker 1: one for replay. It sounds like it might have some
- 0:40Speaker 1: possibility to it. Apparently it is Ted Bell ready to
- 0:42Speaker 1: talk at length about a forthcoming Ted Bell Marathon. When
- 0:45Speaker 1: we used to do those, and we didn't really start
- 0:47Speaker 1: doing them again because those were like slumber parties. There
- 0:49Speaker 1: were nuts. But it's interrupted by Margaret and Frank Gray
- 0:52Speaker 1: remembering eating Anderson's split piece soup and also General Shaw's
- 0:56Speaker 1: secret fear. Well, what's the funny you and Frank talking
- 1:00Speaker 1: about eating anderson Split piece soup? Oh, I see. So
- 1:03Speaker 1: it's filthy, isn't it. Well, maybe it isn't. I don't know.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Maybe it is for all I know. Do you remember? No,
- 1:09Speaker 1: I don't. Here it is, folks, Today's Sketch Show. It
- 1:14Speaker 1: is an encore presentation. Here, she'll be glad you did.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Welcome to the world famous Phil Henry Show. This is
- 1:21Speaker 1: a general Gaylin Shaw at your service, And I'm Margaret
- 1:24Speaker 1: Gray yam been vickmen, I'm Robert Lennon, and I'm Phil Henry.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And I understand that Margaret. There was quite a not
- 1:31Speaker 1: quite a contretemps, but there was a lot of conversation.
- 1:34Speaker 1: We did a Facebook live last night. Yes, Phil did
- 1:37Speaker 1: a face a Facebook. It's called Facebook. I know what
- 1:40Speaker 1: it's called.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Phil did philed it?
- 1:43Speaker 1: Hold on, I'm a little you guys staring at me.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Don't just go about your business? All right? No, don't, Yeah,
- 1:50Speaker 1: that's it. Just look at the desk, you too, Phil? Right? Phil,
- 1:55Speaker 1: Phil did a face flut? Let's going on with you?
- 1:59Speaker 1: I don't know. Give me some coffee. Well, you know
- 2:00Speaker 1: I had I had some dental work done today. Don't
- 2:03Speaker 1: worry about it. As you know I have from time
- 2:05Speaker 1: to time, I have some teeth pulled. Uh, what what
- 2:09Speaker 1: is that about? Excuse me, Phil, but it is a
- 2:12Speaker 1: way of I'm trying to straighten the lower teeth here.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So I had a couple polled. Yeah, and all right,
- 2:21Speaker 1: here we go today. Yes, last night Phil did a
- 2:24Speaker 1: Facebook live on the BSP and more page. He did
- 2:28Speaker 1: not do it on the Facebook flua on the Facebook
- 2:32Speaker 1: Hold on, he didn't do it on the flu of Flendry.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Well do you want what are you gonna do? I
- 2:38Speaker 1: just the novacat will wear off, don't worry about it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Want me to get maybe some hot coffee and this
- 2:42Speaker 2: is great.
- 2:43Speaker 1: No, the hot coffee will burn hell out of burn
- 2:45Speaker 1: the living hell out of it. Last night, Phil Hendry
- 2:49Speaker 1: about a quarter to ten fit. You think that's funny.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I'm sorry, come on last night at what? Well? God,
- 2:57Speaker 1: last night we did a Facebook live. I'll do it
- 3:00Speaker 1: on the BSP and more page because Phil didn't do
- 3:03Speaker 1: it on the Facebook fan page for whatever reason. I
- 3:06Speaker 1: did it on the on the Facebook BSP page because
- 3:09Speaker 1: I wanted to let them know. A couple think, don't
- 3:12Speaker 1: worry about it. Those are the subscribers, right, yeah, they're
- 3:15Speaker 1: the subscribers. But we also were very we're very concerned
- 3:18Speaker 1: with and we want everybody to get the information. So
- 3:20Speaker 1: tonight and when I see tonight, I you know last night.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Meaning so what I'm gonna say is the following last
- 3:27Speaker 1: night we did one. Well maybe we won't. I don't
- 3:30Speaker 1: say anything about it anyway. As of this broadcast, I
- 3:35Speaker 1: anticipated doing a Facebook fan page live chat because we
- 3:39Speaker 1: wanted to you know, clue people in on what's coming
- 3:42Speaker 1: up this weekend as well all of the folks that
- 3:44Speaker 1: are not subscribers. Anyway. To make a long story short,
- 3:47Speaker 1: flu I mean see, I'll do it food, Henry Foon, Hendry,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna kick some Wait a minute, wait, Mari, what
- 3:54Speaker 1: I tell you? I wasn't gonna touch the punk she
- 3:58Speaker 1: made a move. Just let me, you know, draw my
- 4:00Speaker 1: fist back. Give me that much, all right.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I still do it. Let's say you got a
- 4:05Speaker 2: slood Banks. Oh take it easy.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Not so last night, Phil or the night before whatever
- 4:10Speaker 1: you did, whatever you did, you told people. Now I
- 4:13Speaker 1: forget what we're talking about. We were talking about, uh,
- 4:18Speaker 1: whatever we were talking about. Okay, So what am I
- 4:20Speaker 1: making a big deal out of this for. We're going
- 4:21Speaker 1: to be in Atlanta a week from Friday, as you know,
- 4:23Speaker 1: a week from this weekend we'll be in Atlanta. We
- 4:25Speaker 1: are also going to be doing our Ted's of Beverly
- 4:28Speaker 1: Hills Marathon, and that is going to be something else. Man.
- 4:31Speaker 1: The teds of Beverly Hills Marathon, as you know, is
- 4:34Speaker 1: a Smasheroo hit. People. Well, the marathons, I should say,
- 4:38Speaker 1: are major, major hits. And so having said all of that,
- 4:42Speaker 1: we're gonna get Ted bell on right. What's with you?
- 4:45Speaker 1: I tell you, yes, we're gonna get Ted bell on
- 4:49Speaker 1: right now. We got there is hey, Ted, Hey, totally listen.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I want to let everybody know. Yeah, the tedg of
- 4:57Speaker 3: Beverly Hills and the Ted Bell Marathon is happening and
- 5:01Speaker 3: will be happening at fourth with one week from Friday. Okay,
- 5:06Speaker 3: and you say that you're gonna go where where are
- 5:09Speaker 3: you going?
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm going to need Atlanta, but I'm gonna be here
- 5:12Speaker 1: for the marathon.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You're going to be here for the mist The question
- 5:15Speaker 3: that I had, and I think a lot of the
- 5:18Speaker 3: BSPs that are listening, and a lot of the Phil
- 5:19Speaker 3: Henry Show fans that are listening, we'd like to know
- 5:21Speaker 3: the injury to this. The question that I've got is
- 5:25Speaker 3: will if you're going to it. Usually the marathons are
- 5:28Speaker 3: on Friday and Sunday.
- 5:30Speaker 1: No, Ted, they're on Saturday and Sunday.
- 5:31Speaker 3: I'm sorry, say Saturday and Sunday.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but Phil is going to move it up to
- 5:35Speaker 1: a Friday and Saturday because he's leaving on Sunday.
- 5:38Speaker 3: All right, So in other words, right away, I'm getting,
- 5:41Speaker 3: you know, kind of the short shrift here.
- 5:43Speaker 1: No you're not getting. No, it's better because I'm gonna
- 5:46Speaker 1: be here. No, you're not getting short shrift.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Well, what's going on?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Nothing's going on? Man. If I'm leaving on Sunday, I
- 5:52Speaker 1: want to make sure that all the business that we
- 5:54Speaker 1: have is put to bed. Okay, all right, See.
- 5:58Speaker 3: You're not gonna leave me in the hand and so so. Yeah,
- 6:01Speaker 3: I love you, but but you're not going to give
- 6:02Speaker 3: it to him, are you.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Hey?
- 6:03Speaker 4: You know, Bud's very capable do what if I want to?
- 6:06Speaker 4: I just don't want to. Alay's sit around here all
- 6:08Speaker 4: week there and listening to you. Oh man, all right,
- 6:12Speaker 4: take it back all I'm sorry.
- 6:14Speaker 3: You know I helped pay the bills around their field,
- 6:16Speaker 3: not much. What is that supposed to mean?
- 6:19Speaker 1: You would? Hey? Ted? You know you've got an outstanding
- 6:21Speaker 1: balance with us in terms of the advertising money.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I told you things are Let me tell you, boy,
- 6:26Speaker 3: embarrassed me like that?
- 6:27Speaker 1: Well, you just said, you pay the bills when we get.
- 6:29Speaker 3: The new fire pit put in. We've got the fire
- 6:31Speaker 3: pit out in the veranda in the back. Now we're
- 6:34Speaker 3: going to have the new Ted's of Beverly Hills U
- 6:37Speaker 3: Tahunga Veranda fire pit.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Now why is it called the Tahunga Veranda.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Well, it's just it's a good name. Tahunga, ladies and gentlemen,
- 6:44Speaker 3: those of you don't know, is an area here in
- 6:46Speaker 3: southern California. It said Tahunga. It sounds good. Is that
- 6:49Speaker 3: the canyon?
- 6:50Speaker 1: No, it's Topega Canyon.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Oh No, that's what I mean. Topeka. It's going to
- 6:53Speaker 3: be the Topanga. It's what we called it was, is
- 6:56Speaker 3: going to be the Topanga top Tahunga.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Topanga Veranda, the Topanga Veranda.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Jays Bill, you just would get that, So what if
- 7:07Speaker 2: I did?
- 7:08Speaker 1: It's it's all right, the Topanga Veranda. Okay, yeah, what
- 7:12Speaker 1: about it? What will be some of the features.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Well, the Topeka Veranda is going to have a variety
- 7:17Speaker 3: of features, it going to have, for instance, the fire
- 7:19Speaker 3: pit that I mentioned, it'll have palm fronds, you know,
- 7:23Speaker 3: a bunch of stuff. Don't worry about it. So the
- 7:25Speaker 3: reason why I'm saying all of this is that's going
- 7:28Speaker 3: to kick business into second gear.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Okay, well about third and fourth gear.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Don't worry about it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Well, business isn't bad, is it.
- 7:35Speaker 3: It's just fine.
- 7:36Speaker 2: You know.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It's because you you know, you don't knowe us that
- 7:38Speaker 1: much money.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I let it slide. Business is great. Heads
- 7:42Speaker 3: of Beverly Hills is an institution in Beverly Hills, California.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Although you may want to get out here and visit
- 7:46Speaker 3: before I decided to sell the place wanted. Don't score around.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I'm kidding. Business is fine. I'm sorry. We aren't current
- 7:52Speaker 3: with our account with you.
- 7:54Speaker 1: You know it's we don't charge a hell of a
- 7:56Speaker 1: lot of money. Yeah, well we don't. But in return
- 8:00Speaker 1: for not charging a lot of money, we give you
- 8:01Speaker 1: a lot of what is it you don't have to
- 8:04Speaker 1: pay a lot and we're putting them on the airlin Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 1: you're getting screwed all six ways to Sunset Phil.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Oh, you're not getting screwed listen, because they come on here,
- 8:12Speaker 3: I take up a segment. How often do I take
- 8:13Speaker 3: up a segment? I'm on here? What every five seconds
- 8:16Speaker 3: or something? Give me a break? Will you feel all right?
- 8:18Speaker 1: I'm not don't complain or anything.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I'm on here like maybe once a month.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Oh, Ted, it's more than that.
- 8:23Speaker 3: No it is not. No, it is not. I'm on
- 8:26Speaker 3: here but once a month. But all right, let's talk
- 8:28Speaker 3: about this marathon. Now, these are all select got them?
- 8:31Speaker 3: What did that? What did I just see on the screen?
- 8:33Speaker 1: Oh, that's one of the transitions. Is a football it's
- 8:36Speaker 1: a trends of what you're looking at the videocasp Yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 1: that was just a football transition. It's fine.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Well yeah, so anyway, you weren't talking about the marathon. Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 4: all right, what we had.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Wait wait wait, wait, hold on, I want Phil to say, Bud's.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Been helping pull a lot of these cuts, Ted. So
- 8:54Speaker 1: what we do is we start right at the very beginning,
- 8:56Speaker 1: like nineteen whenever the hell it is nineteen ninety nine.
- 9:00Speaker 1: A lot of this stuff is from national syndication.
- 9:03Speaker 3: What about when we were on before national syndication.
- 9:05Speaker 1: We've got a lot of that stuff, and we have
- 9:07Speaker 1: stuff from ninety seven we have stuff from ninety eight,
- 9:10Speaker 1: not a lot.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Well, that's just it. We you know, don't you got
- 9:14Speaker 3: some of stony stit stuff? Right?
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah? How do you know stony stitch because he comes
- 9:18Speaker 1: in here.
- 9:18Speaker 3: He told me Phil's got a lot of my stuff.
- 9:19Speaker 3: He isn't. He hasn't got over the site yet. You know,
- 9:22Speaker 3: I'm not trying to break anybody's casting that stone, just
- 9:24Speaker 3: wondering do you have the quality stuff?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we got the quality stuff. Man, don't worry about it.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And this will not be the last marathon that we
- 9:33Speaker 1: do of Ted Bell.
- 9:34Speaker 3: All right? Well, god, hey, chef Phil's are Yeah, we
- 9:38Speaker 3: got the Let don't talk to Moon about it.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Well you're talking to me right, Yes?
- 9:42Speaker 3: Some tight just tells show Illia that you're going. Phil's going, Yes,
- 9:45Speaker 3: we have that, you know, don't talk to Moon about it?
- 9:48Speaker 3: What are you doing? What am I doing right now?
- 9:50Speaker 3: I'm making a split pea soup?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Ah? Yes, are you talking to me or talking to him?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Terry Phil? I just well, I'm talking to him about
- 9:56Speaker 3: the split pea soup. And I got to tell you
- 9:58Speaker 3: this is something that I've wanting to talk about. So
- 10:01Speaker 3: can I talk about it?
- 10:03Speaker 1: What do you want to talk about the split pea soup. Yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 1: split pea soup. Yeah, okay, go ahead, all.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Right, the split peace soup. Where we where do I begin?
- 10:12Speaker 3: As a kid, I used to see, you know, my
- 10:14Speaker 3: father would drive us out, you were saying, you, you
- 10:16Speaker 3: and your family would drive up north on the winter one,
- 10:18Speaker 3: and you'd always see that Builton's, you know, home of
- 10:20Speaker 3: Anderson's split pea soup.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Right, yeah, always the big sign.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah signed the two chefs with a sledgehammer.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Way there wasn't a sledgehammer. They're they're gonna split the pee.
- 10:30Speaker 1: They're gonna do what What were you looking at? Man?
- 10:34Speaker 3: Hey chef? He just went all right, just stay with.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Me, Ted, will you all right? What were you looking at?
- 10:41Speaker 3: I'm looking at us. Yeah, you're right, they were splitting
- 10:43Speaker 3: a pee. Okay, Just it sounded really weird.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I see that there's a billboard up your Bolton.
- 10:48Speaker 3: It's not Bolton, it's Builton, up.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Near Builton Bud. It's actually near Solving too. Just before
- 10:54Speaker 1: you turn to Solving, there's the big sign. Oh, I
- 10:57Speaker 1: know that when you're talking about yes and split pea soup,
- 11:01Speaker 1: and you can stop there. In fact, I've always Frank
- 11:04Speaker 1: and I always stopped to get the split pea soup.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Not that I like it, but I love the idea
- 11:08Speaker 1: that they have the cafe there and you go in
- 11:11Speaker 1: and you yes, I'll take the split pea soup. Thank you.
- 11:14Speaker 1: What do you mean you don't like it? No, I
- 11:16Speaker 1: don't really like it at all. Frank hates it. But
- 11:19Speaker 1: then why do you go in there? Yeah? What do
- 11:20Speaker 1: you go in? Because I like to sit there and
- 11:23Speaker 1: do the thing. It's kind of a California tradition. It's
- 11:27Speaker 1: a California tradition. Yes, so I'll say two bowls of
- 11:31Speaker 1: split pea soup, please, and either I'll have a sherry.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Frank generally has a cocktail. They serve booze there, you know,
- 11:37Speaker 1: and now I don't remember, maybe they don't. Maybe Frank
- 11:39Speaker 1: has coffee. I'll generally have something like a tab and
- 11:43Speaker 1: I'll say two bowls of the split pea soup, and
- 11:45Speaker 1: then we'll look at the billboard and get up and leave.
- 11:50Speaker 1: What we try to do, though, is because we don't
- 11:52Speaker 1: eat the soup, is we'll say thank you and we'll
- 11:57Speaker 1: look around. This is going to make a big better
- 12:01Speaker 1: Get Frank on the line. There's great Frank on the
- 12:04Speaker 1: line for get Frank on the line, because this is
- 12:06Speaker 1: going to be a problem. What's the problem? What is
- 12:09Speaker 1: the problem? Barker? Because I had to open my big.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Yeah, mister Gray, mister Gray. Yeah, Margaret's on a phone
- 12:16Speaker 4: with us and we're on the air. Yes, sir, Uss,
- 12:18Speaker 4: he wanted you to come on right now. Well he knows,
- 12:20Speaker 4: he said, he knows, he's going to come on.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Frank. I know you're going to come on as well.
- 12:25Speaker 1: But I want to what is that?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Uh?
- 12:28Speaker 4: I think he had hees radio turned up? Yeah, turn
- 12:31Speaker 4: your radio down, sir. I know you're listen.

- 12:55Speaker 1: Well, where are you? Frank?
- 12:56Speaker 3: I'm maudi, I'm at Rancho Park. Where in the christ

- 13:50Speaker 1: because you're an attorney and well.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Hold on, go ahead, jesse Man. That's a beautiful shot

- 14:34Speaker 3: He would never dare to do that.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Is that right? Are we going to talk about the
- 14:38Speaker 1: split piece soup? What I want to talk about Anderson's
- 14:41Speaker 1: Split Peace soup.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Christ not that anything but that.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Well, Frank, we've got to get it out, Frank and I.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Why don't you tell Phil you could do it in
- 14:50Speaker 1: the more loyally way.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I'm assuming that Margaret was talking about how we used
- 14:56Speaker 3: to write, you know, when we drove to San Francisco
- 14:58Speaker 3: occasionally we'd go buy the Anderson Split Peace soup there
- 15:02Speaker 3: in Builton, and we'd go in and we'd sit down
- 15:05Speaker 3: because Margaret loved the experience of saying two bulls of
- 15:07Speaker 3: split pea soup please, and the whole California. And I'd
- 15:11Speaker 3: sit there and i'd nurse. I would get a cup
- 15:14Speaker 3: of coffee, but I always had a flask of rye,
- 15:17Speaker 3: and I would nurse a coffee and rye and just
- 15:20Speaker 3: wait for Margaret to get sick of it. But really
- 15:23Speaker 3: what happened was we'd say, yes, two bulls please, and
- 15:25Speaker 3: we'd wave our arms about and yeah, and we.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Didn't wave our arms around me.
- 15:31Speaker 3: You did, Margaret, you'd be hey, and that way people
- 15:34Speaker 3: were calling attention to us, you know. But the thing
- 15:37Speaker 3: of it is, Phil, we both hate split the pe
- 15:41Speaker 3: We both hate split pea soup. And so when when
- 15:45Speaker 3: the B, when the p P, when.
- 15:47Speaker 1: The peace SUP arrived? Hey, I got here.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Yeah, when the pea super arrived, we'd look
- 15:56Speaker 3: around furtively to see if anybody was watching, and then
- 15:58Speaker 3: we'd just say well, thank you, and we'd get up.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I'd go first, and then Margaret would trail.
- 16:04Speaker 1: You. Guys would beat the check.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Yeah, we beat the sea beat so.
- 16:07Speaker 1: You so you rubbed them of two bulls of soup? Now,
- 16:10Speaker 1: hold on, We never had a drop. We didn't touch
- 16:13Speaker 1: one drop of that pea soup.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Right, we never we never did it. And I know
- 16:18Speaker 3: for a fact that if you don't eat it, then
- 16:21Speaker 3: you can't be charged for it.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Okay, so yeah, but don't you have to tell people, Hey,
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be I'm not going to eat this.
- 16:28Speaker 3: If it's sitting there on the counter untouched, what do
- 16:30Speaker 3: you what do you talk about?
- 16:32Speaker 2: You know? Yeah, well, how did I know it's on touch? Yeah?
- 16:34Speaker 1: I know you didn't like dip your your your spoon.
- 16:37Speaker 3: In it because the spoons were left there. I would
- 16:39Speaker 3: tell Margaret leave the spoons exactly where they were, then
- 16:42Speaker 3: they don't touch them.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So what was the purpose of going in there?
- 16:44Speaker 3: We would go in film old on Margaret, this is
- 16:47Speaker 3: where philis got us. You know, Margaret just loved to
- 16:50Speaker 3: be California. Things say, oh, frankly, we need to have
- 16:53Speaker 3: the California experience of this. The the split pean, split
- 16:56Speaker 3: bean soup and.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Split pea not bean for the eat billions time, God
- 17:01Speaker 6: damn it.
- 17:01Speaker 3: All right, what the hell is it? The bean? P
- 17:04Speaker 3: P bean?
- 17:05Speaker 1: You know, one's a pea and one's a bean. So
- 17:10Speaker 1: they all right, So what so you guys are in
- 17:12Speaker 1: the restaurant.
- 17:13Speaker 3: We're in the restaurant, and Margaret says, ah, yes, the
- 17:16Speaker 3: split pede, and who's this quizit? Head a Hopper.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Some people thought I was head of Hopper because I
- 17:21Speaker 1: wore the funny hats in those days. Oh what are
- 17:24Speaker 1: you talking about.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Robert, No, I don't think we're following too good.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm barely following it myself. To make a long
- 17:31Speaker 1: story short, Frank.
- 17:32Speaker 3: All right, make a long story short. I go we
- 17:35Speaker 3: go in, and and he starts waving his arms around
- 17:39Speaker 3: and saying, hey, yeah, split pea soup. And then when
- 17:42Speaker 3: nobody was looking, when hey, what is that bill? Why
- 17:46Speaker 3: it's not chocolate. No, that's not hot chocolate that came
- 17:49Speaker 3: out of someone's ass. Got So he'd be waving his
- 17:53Speaker 3: arms around, and then when no one was looking, I'd
- 17:56Speaker 3: get up and leave, or Margaret would get up and leave,
- 17:58Speaker 3: and then I would get up and leave. And then
- 18:02Speaker 3: then the two of you have left, Oh yeah, yeah,
- 18:04Speaker 3: it's two of us, and go to the car and
- 18:06Speaker 3: get in it and drive.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So you guys left without paying the bill.
- 18:10Speaker 3: No, No, once again, once again, I've got to say it.
- 18:14Speaker 1: How many times do you guys have to explain this
- 18:16Speaker 1: to people.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Well, this is the first time on your show.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I've never mentioned this to anyone, and I had to
- 18:21Speaker 1: open Frank, I did. I opened my big bazoo.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Yeah, he's always opening his big bazoo. Hey, here's another
- 18:26Speaker 3: thing we did. And here's another thing we did. And
- 18:28Speaker 3: we beat the sea on Anderson's split bean. I'm sorry,
- 18:31Speaker 3: we beat the sea and bean split. We beat the.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Seat, You beat the seat, b the s and split
- 18:38Speaker 1: piece suit.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Yes, all right, yeah and so h.
- 18:44Speaker 1: All right, well I don't know how many times did
- 18:46Speaker 1: you rob these people.
- 18:46Speaker 3: We didn't rob them, Phil, Still, we didn't.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Rob We never touched the soup. But why didn't you
- 18:50Speaker 1: tell him we're leaving? Because it would look disingect to
- 18:56Speaker 1: come in and go, oh by god, Anderson split.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Bean, split pean?
- 19:00Speaker 1: What's a pean?
- 19:01Speaker 3: I mean, I'm split. I'm sorry, split b b pe Okay,
- 19:07Speaker 3: that's I have to get up and leave.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Margaret, Come on now, I said pee because you guys
- 19:12Speaker 1: are driving me nuts.
- 19:13Speaker 3: All right, I'm back, I am too.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Now you guys beat it? All right, Thanks very much
- 19:18Speaker 1: for that story, Frank.
- 19:20Speaker 3: But there's more to it. Because we'd get in the car, okay,
- 19:23Speaker 3: and we'd pull over to a Von's or to a
- 19:24Speaker 3: j Safeway, and we buy a couple of cans. Let'split
- 19:27Speaker 3: bean soup. Okay, I split pea soup. Why because we
- 19:31Speaker 3: didn't you know, would want it. We didn't want to
- 19:33Speaker 3: buy it at the restaurant. It's too much money.
- 19:36Speaker 1: But I thought you didn't like it.
- 19:37Speaker 3: We didn't, No, we didn't.
- 19:38Speaker 1: We'd always the cans. We've probably got about three years
- 19:40Speaker 1: with the split pea soup in the pantry in the kitchen.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I've never touched it. I wouldn't. I wouldn't eat it
- 19:45Speaker 1: with your mouth.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I wouldn't eat it with his mouth.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Who's that, Margaret? All right, Well that's a great story. Yeah,
- 19:53Speaker 1: that's a wild story. Doesn't make any sense.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Well, you know some in general. You know, it doesn't
- 19:57Speaker 3: make sense? Is your whole? Oh what I don't know,
- 20:01Speaker 3: just the way it's the way you are?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yeah? What about me? Yeah? What about him?
- 20:08Speaker 3: Oh look at you guy, I'll tell you why? Okay,
- 20:10Speaker 3: what about you here? You are a representative of the
- 20:13Speaker 3: United States military trying to pretend like you're all mister
- 20:16Speaker 3: comedy and everything like that.
- 20:18Speaker 1: What does that gut to do with anything? Hold on, Frank.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Now wait, wait just a minute.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Well, you voted for Trump, and look at the mess
- 20:24Speaker 3: we're in.
- 20:24Speaker 1: You're not going to take me voting for Trump as
- 20:27Speaker 1: some way of getting out of your culpability and stealing.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Two bulls are soup.
- 20:31Speaker 3: We didn't steal. Now you take that back.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I will not.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Okay, that's it, Frank.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Now wait a minute. You guys are friends, not anymore.
- 20:39Speaker 3: This guy a member of Trump's military industrial complex. Boy,
- 20:43Speaker 3: I would love to just just one time a month.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Uh hello, okay, great, So there there is gone. What
- 20:51Speaker 1: the hell is going on around here? Man? Don't we
- 20:53Speaker 1: have Ted Bell someplace? Hey? Ted, I don't know what
- 20:55Speaker 1: happened to you, man, but you know I'm glad that
- 20:57Speaker 1: you're back.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Uh well, I don't know what happened to me either.
- 20:59Speaker 3: One minute I'm talking, the next minute I got to.
- 21:02Speaker 1: You know, I'm awfully sorry for preempting you like that, Ted,
- 21:05Speaker 1: But I wanted to talk to Frank, and I wanted.
- 21:07Speaker 3: To put me on a hold.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I did.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I'm sitting here talking and here's there's another thing. And
- 21:12Speaker 3: here's another thing, this living and you guys have already
- 21:15Speaker 3: got Frank Gray on the line.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Well I'm sorry, buddy. You're right, Bud, should not have
- 21:20Speaker 1: put you on holding. I could have been like a freeway, well,
- 21:23Speaker 1: a freeway, excuse you.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I could have been a part of the conversation,
- 21:28Speaker 3: but as it turned out, no, I was not, and
- 21:31Speaker 3: it hurt. It hurt bad.
- 21:34Speaker 1: All right, Look at Pal, I'm sorry. I didn't me
- 21:36Speaker 1: to do that to you. We needed to get the
- 21:39Speaker 1: ball game going. Here. I don't even know where this.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I don't know where our pre show was. Oh yeah,
- 21:44Speaker 1: we had a pre show, So thank you for him. Well,
- 21:47Speaker 1: Frank's gone, Yes, Frank has gone.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Now, okay, great, So what do you want?

- 21:56Speaker 3: you guys get on split pea Soup asked me.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I remember I remember either. You know.
- 22:01Speaker 3: That's the whole thing about you. Andy. You gotta better
- 22:03Speaker 3: get your brain checked. Okay, your memory is for shit?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Why is it just my memory? Well? Three guesses? Yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you're right, all right, Ted, So you're going to be here.
- 22:12Speaker 1: You won't be here, but your marathon will be on
- 22:14Speaker 1: starting on the twenty sixth am. I right about that.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Twenty six twenty Yeah, the twenty sixth, Friday the twenty sixth,
- 22:20Speaker 1: and goes all the way till midnight Sunday the twenty eighth.
- 22:24Speaker 1: So it will go from midnight Friday the twenty sixth,
- 22:28Speaker 1: the twenty seventh, and end up at midnight going into
- 22:30Speaker 1: the twenty eighth.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Okay, if that's the way it is, that's you know,
- 22:33Speaker 3: But I just I don't want it to appear as
- 22:36Speaker 3: if there ain't no ain't nobody listening and everything. Look
- 22:39Speaker 3: at that Joe Fleco's playing for the Broncos.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Was that Flecco?
- 22:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:42Speaker 1: Who is Joe Fleco?
- 22:44Speaker 2: That's a pretty big move.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, enough of that, all right, So yes,
- 22:48Speaker 1: we'll see you on the twenty sixth. Ted, thank you
- 22:50Speaker 1: very very much, and God bless you and all that
- 22:53Speaker 1: you are. And we're gonna hopefully catch up with you
- 22:57Speaker 1: before we split.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Man.
- 22:58Speaker 1: You know, I'm hoping that we see before we leave
- 23:01Speaker 1: to go to Atlanta, which is you know, well, what
- 23:04Speaker 1: are you leaving for Atlanta the twenty eighth, and I'll
- 23:08Speaker 1: be there the twenty thirty. Yeah, twenty eight what oh hey, yeah.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Come on down to the day. But the hunder Room
- 23:15Speaker 3: is don't worry about it, Henry. I'll pay you. I'll
- 23:17Speaker 3: pay it a bill for the advertisement.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Well, that's a hell of a way to put it, ted,
- 23:21Speaker 1: But didn't you do a little bit.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Better timing with that exact though, the timing with.
- 23:25Speaker 1: What the donut and the commercial?
- 23:27Speaker 3: You mean the donut hole. Yeah, I'll tell you why,
- 23:29Speaker 3: because most of the people in.
- 23:30Speaker 1: It Ted Bell there, from Ted to Beverly Hills. That
- 23:34Speaker 1: was the most balled up. So I can't wait to
- 23:36Speaker 1: hear how you guys put this thing together in the
- 23:38Speaker 1: editing bay. No, I mean we got sidetracked. Yeah, you
- 23:42Speaker 1: got sidetracked, Fred. But here's one thing that I will
- 23:46Speaker 1: not be sidetracked from because people have asked for it.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Oh here we go. Yeah, what is that supposed to mean? Nothing? Nothing,
- 23:53Speaker 1: Go ahead, Margaret, because people have asked for it, and
- 23:58Speaker 1: people have quite have been extremely I would say they
- 24:04Speaker 1: have been extremely vociferous. And so I'd like to do
- 24:07Speaker 1: for you and you and you and you, Bud and everyone,
- 24:10Speaker 1: all of you people out there. This is a little
- 24:12Speaker 1: thing that, as I said, the BSPs were asking for this,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and we're going to do it for them. Right now.
- 24:19Speaker 1: A little thing called torn between two lovers and hold
- 24:23Speaker 1: on bud, And I asked, Stacy kill Gallen.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Is that her name is?
- 24:29Speaker 1: She's not related Is she to Dorothy kill Gallen? No,
- 24:32Speaker 1: because there's been a couple of people who have been
- 24:34Speaker 1: on our show name kill Gallen. Good for you, Oh boy,
- 24:37Speaker 1: god on? All right? How about Smith? Phil? All right?
- 24:41Speaker 1: Never mind, all right? This is yes, So Stacy will
- 24:44Speaker 1: be in the background singing.
- 24:46Speaker 5: And this is.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Pre recorded because she's not in here. Yes, it was
- 24:50Speaker 1: pre recorded. She's not in here. This will be done
- 24:53Speaker 1: by way of improvisational lyrics. Is what I'm trying to
- 24:57Speaker 1: say to you. And here it is ladies and gentlemen
- 25:00Speaker 1: torn between two lovers. That's requested by the PSPs.
- 25:07Speaker 5: I've got something to say to you.
- 25:10Speaker 1: I hope you'll understand. It's been a while since we've talked.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Frankly Frank, but I know you'll be in hand. There's you,
- 25:23Speaker 1: and then there's another guy. He works just down the street, Margaret.
- 25:28Speaker 6: Wait, he's a grease monkey, but he is pretty sweet.
- 25:36Speaker 7: He works the loup brack down there and says, hello,
- 25:42Speaker 7: missus Gray, don't you look nice in that tight fitting session.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'll say your.
- 25:53Speaker 6: Crude, rude, creep. I'm a married woman.
- 25:59Speaker 8: You'll say, you put sweat right here in both her
- 26:08Speaker 8: time between two level, feeling like a fool.
- 26:15Speaker 1: One of us is breaking.
- 26:17Speaker 5: All the ru ru ru ru rules to us?
- 26:26Speaker 1: Is that door open? That is because everybody outside can
- 26:29Speaker 1: hear this stuf? Phil's got the door it can it
- 26:31Speaker 1: for a minute, but will get just can it?
- 26:33Speaker 2: Door between two?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Can the music? But oh that door is wide open,
- 26:37Speaker 1: and every chump walking by, well, Margaret, it's it's a
- 26:40Speaker 1: it's a commercial district, right hold on all right?
- 26:44Speaker 2: Yeah? Close it down too?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah? Is it closed? That's what I just said, Margot. Okay,
- 26:49Speaker 1: because I want to make sure that you know we
- 26:52Speaker 1: don't start it.
- 26:52Speaker 2: But I got start saying, Plasco.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Don't you tell me when to go? All right, Margaret,
- 26:57Speaker 1: we're ready.
- 26:58Speaker 6: Go And all the clowns are out about tonight bugging me.
- 27:09Speaker 6: You are one a happy family.
- 27:16Speaker 9: Just don't bug me, Frank or that guy is just
- 27:20Speaker 9: down the street to between two lovel feeling like a joke.
- 27:32Speaker 5: It's so groovy knowing you are breaking all the rules
- 27:38Speaker 5: by letting me guess.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Up down at Bill Chevron, one of us, I don't know,
- 27:48Speaker 1: it's what did you do the lyrics. I'm not doing
- 27:51Speaker 1: the lyrics. I'm doing improvisational lyrics. And you and you
- 27:57Speaker 1: and you.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Of you creeps.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Judge me by the things you wouldn't do.
- 28:07Speaker 5: But time between two oh.
- 28:10Speaker 1: I thought, yes, Stacy.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Breaking all the room, tarming, what are you doing?
- 28:27Speaker 1: We're just drinking? Is this today's paper? Margaret? I'm bored anyway?
- 28:31Speaker 1: There you are BSPs. That sucked, Yeah, Margaret, that was
- 28:34Speaker 1: not your usual Oh whoa, whoa, whoa, hold the phone?
- 28:37Speaker 1: What sucked? Well? That you know, General, I mean General,
- 28:40Speaker 1: you tell her, you tell her by you tell her.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah, Robert, you teller.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Well, I mean it was good. You tell her. You see,
- 28:48Speaker 1: I'm getting the picture. You guys thought it was substandard.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I thought that maybe you could. I was self conscious
- 28:54Speaker 1: by the fact that the door, well it's closed now
- 28:59Speaker 1: you mean the door was wide open? Yes, well let's close.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Now it is closed. Yeah, we closed it like five
- 29:05Speaker 1: minutes ago. How about tell it? How about tell it
- 29:08Speaker 1: a bitch? Oh listen to you, aren't you just all urban? General,
- 29:13Speaker 1: I'm trying to get it, said Okay, me and the sisters,
- 29:17Speaker 1: you know, we're doing it for ourselves. That was a
- 29:20Speaker 1: nice song. That you did once upon a time. Oh,
- 29:24Speaker 1: and it replayed on one of the encore shows. So
- 29:26Speaker 1: Phil remembers it. And now he's gonna stick that one
- 29:28Speaker 1: in real deep. He'll twist it, then twist it back
- 29:31Speaker 1: the other way, break it off, or at least pretend to,
- 29:34Speaker 1: and then go ah, I haven't broken enough to get
- 29:36Speaker 1: the idea, Margaret. Margaret Gray was torn between two. Well,
- 29:39Speaker 1: that was a request by the BSPs. All right, Phil,
- 29:41Speaker 1: nobody do it again. I'll do it again. I'll do
- 29:43Speaker 1: it again tomorrow, ladies and gentlemen with in much better voice.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I think, Well, I thought you sound early. Why don't
- 29:48Speaker 1: you do it? According to the lyrics? Well, you guys
- 29:51Speaker 1: really don't get it, do you. Why don't you do it?
- 29:53Speaker 1: According to the lyrics?
- 29:54Speaker 5: Why don't you do it?
- 29:55Speaker 1: A good Phil, I don't do nothing. I mean I
- 29:58Speaker 1: don't do anything. You don't do anything that is by
- 30:02Speaker 1: the book. Margaret, you're a real bul bremble. Yes, I'm
- 30:05Speaker 1: a bow brembl. Where you been in general? Where have
- 30:08Speaker 1: I been? I was taking a leak?
- 30:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you ask your dumb question.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Ye ask a stupid question, You got a dumb answer.

- 32:47Speaker 1: There will be no BSP chat unless I just happen
- 32:50Speaker 1: to pop up on Facebook live somewhere, but I doubt it.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Where I'm going tonight, they probably won't allow me to
- 32:55Speaker 1: do it. It's you know, it's one of those where
- 32:57Speaker 1: are you going?
- 32:58Speaker 3: Man?
- 32:58Speaker 1: You peel? I'm not gonna say, but I doubt seriously.
- 33:02Speaker 1: It's just it's a function. Okay, it's an industry function.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I want to tell you where. Oh an industry function? Well, Deverison,
- 33:08Speaker 1: But all you like a big shot? No, I don't
- 33:11Speaker 1: think I'm a big shot. But people always want to
- 33:13Speaker 1: know about these things. So I tell them, you know, well,
- 33:15Speaker 1: then tell us all the way, don't worry. I'll I'll
- 33:18Speaker 1: get the scoop. I am the entertainment reporter.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Funk.
- 33:21Speaker 1: If you do, you do, if you don't, you know, no,
- 33:23Speaker 1: I'll get the scoop. You know who I'm gonna get
- 33:25Speaker 1: it from? Who? You? All? Right? So? And then, of course,
- 33:29Speaker 1: in a week from tomorrow it will be the Teds
- 33:32Speaker 1: of Beverly Hills Teds of Beverly Hills Marathon that will
- 33:35Speaker 1: start on Friday the twenty sixth. I think the Friday
- 33:37Speaker 1: is the twenty sixth, Is it not the twenty sixth? Yeah,
- 33:40Speaker 1: twenty sixth is the Friday, and that will be h
- 33:44Speaker 1: that will be a wonderful, wonderful thing. I promise, because
- 33:49Speaker 1: I'm feeling kind of it. I do promise that I
- 33:51Speaker 1: will do Turn Between Two Lovers in a way that Margaret.
- 33:55Speaker 1: There's a whole bunch of requests that people have had.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Da Did you see the the chat?
- 33:59Speaker 1: No, I didn't see the chat. People were on their
- 34:02Speaker 1: request of all kinds of songs. So Phil, go over
- 34:04Speaker 1: to the Facebook. It's the BSPs and more. Yes, all right,
- 34:08Speaker 1: and go over there and look at it. And I
- 34:11Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah, No, there's a lot of songs that
- 34:12Speaker 1: people mentioned. Tour between two Lovers was the Biggie and
- 34:15Speaker 1: everybody was getting kind of a laugh out of it
- 34:17Speaker 1: because it was so old school. Well, the song is
- 34:20Speaker 1: from the seventies. And I believe the version you were
- 34:22Speaker 1: watching was on Midnight Special take the Midnight's Best. You
- 34:27Speaker 1: remember that show? Philed? Yeah, Well, and you know I
- 34:30Speaker 1: shouldn't say this, don't do it? Phil? Phil was talking
- 34:33Speaker 1: about how lame it was. You were talking about what
- 34:37Speaker 1: I was how dip Phil the Midnight's Oh I know
- 34:41Speaker 1: you're one of those in concert people. Yeah, this is
- 34:44Speaker 1: a bunch of seventies stuff, guys. But if you were young,
- 34:47Speaker 1: and if you were in your twenties and the seventies,
- 34:49Speaker 1: you watched either you watched you know, there was a
- 34:52Speaker 1: show called in Concert on ABC. That was the show.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it had really good bands. Everything.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Well I can tell you, well a minute, let me
- 34:59Speaker 1: say it. Yeah, they had on Elo, they had on
- 35:02Speaker 1: what makes them so good? I'm saying that I worked
- 35:05Speaker 1: in album rock radio in those days, and so the
- 35:07Speaker 1: bands that I played on the air, whether it was Elo,
- 35:09Speaker 1: whether it was goddamned you know, the who wasn't on there,
- 35:13Speaker 1: but uh, just you know, credence bands like that, they
- 35:16Speaker 1: were always on. In Concert Midnight Special had some of
- 35:19Speaker 1: those bands. But they also had the Mary McGregor's and
- 35:21Speaker 1: the Anne Murray's.
- 35:23Speaker 6: And what is wrong with Anne Murray?
- 35:24Speaker 1: Well, Ann Murray market even I know is shit?
- 35:27Speaker 3: You know?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, oh, because she's a lesbian? Who said that? Man?
- 35:31Speaker 1: It was because her listen the film? Who said that? Well?
- 35:34Speaker 1: Then why was it? Because her music was pop? And
- 35:37Speaker 1: I would say Midnight Spent Midnight Specially had the Starlind
- 35:39Speaker 1: Vocal Band on. For God's sake, with that whole afternoon delight. Yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 1: but you posted on your web page on my web page, well,
- 35:46Speaker 1: I know, the facebook page. Yeah you did, mis Henry
- 35:48Speaker 1: I as a gag, I did. Yeah, but what little
- 35:52Speaker 1: Osmond by the way. Yeah, see here's the thing, Phil,
- 35:54Speaker 1: there's a lot of stuff's gonna go viral, man, Yeah,
- 35:57Speaker 1: there's a good point. A lot of that's gonna go
- 35:59Speaker 1: viral and people to mark you as some kind of
- 36:01Speaker 1: a freak. And when things go viral, God Almighty, General
- 36:05Speaker 1: Shaw doesn't like the word viral. No, I do not
- 36:07Speaker 1: like the word viral.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Why well, three guesses, man, General, show is free? You
- 36:12Speaker 2: got turned in a fly?
- 36:13Speaker 3: No?
- 36:13Speaker 1: I did I say that. I did not say that
- 36:16Speaker 1: what you say. I was telling these jack balls. I
- 36:19Speaker 1: don't like the word viral because it reminds me. It
- 36:22Speaker 1: makes me think of what. It makes me think that
- 36:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna start to yeah viral, you know, and all
- 36:27Speaker 1: of a sudden, like foaming drool will come out of
- 36:31Speaker 1: my mouth. What are you talking about?
- 36:34Speaker 2: It's talk about the fly?
- 36:35Speaker 1: I mean the fly? You mean the movie the Jeff
- 36:37Speaker 1: Goldblan Fly Who Jeff Goldblum? Sorry, yes, did you see it? Yeah?
- 36:42Speaker 1: I saw it? God Almighty that that film will stay
- 36:44Speaker 1: with me forever.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:46Speaker 1: General SAT thinks that when things go viral, you're gonna
- 36:48Speaker 1: get all Yeah, you're gonna be a fly. You know what,
- 36:53Speaker 1: dickmand This is the only time in life when I
- 36:55Speaker 1: look like a more of a jack ball than you.
- 36:58Speaker 1: So you're afraid of turning to the fly. No, I'm not.
- 37:01Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, don't use the word viral. It
- 37:03Speaker 1: makes me think of that. So when I say viral, Ah,
- 37:08Speaker 1: if I say born between two lovers, born, I mean
- 37:11Speaker 1: torn between two levers goes viral, you really do have
- 37:16Speaker 1: a reaction, don't you. Well, you know, I guess there's
- 37:18Speaker 1: certain words. Yes, So when you say it's going ah god, yeah,
- 37:22Speaker 1: in general, I mean.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Stuff about Yeah, come out with a different word.
- 37:26Speaker 1: How about if stuff just gets popular? Yeah, why don't
- 37:29Speaker 1: they say that because it's more than popular. When something
- 37:32Speaker 1: I will say the word, uh, when something goes viral,
- 37:38Speaker 1: it knock it off. He obviously doesn't like it. You
- 37:42Speaker 1: could just say it's popular. You could say it's hyper popular.
- 37:46Speaker 1: That's not bad. Yeah it's that bad, but it's that
- 37:48Speaker 1: doesn't quite hyper popular. The word I won't say it,
- 37:54Speaker 1: but it bespeaks it be speaks an epidemic of some kind,
- 37:58Speaker 1: and I'm thinking of that every time someone says it's
- 38:01Speaker 1: gonna go viral, I'm thinking of Jeff Goldblob going remember
- 38:05Speaker 1: when he spit up that foam? Oh god, yeah, hen
- 38:08Speaker 1: now live me, Welcome to my world. What is it
- 38:11Speaker 1: with you? Man? Why are you all of a sudden
- 38:12Speaker 1: freaked out about that?
- 38:13Speaker 2: Because it flipped me out?
- 38:14Speaker 1: Okay, because I had a brother who had oh general,
- 38:20Speaker 1: how he had a brother that had a bad case
- 38:22Speaker 1: of bronchitis one winter and howked up all that green flam? Yeah,
- 38:26Speaker 1: well that's it? Yeah?
- 38:28Speaker 3: Is that it?
- 38:28Speaker 1: Yeah? That's what do you mean? Is that it? General?
- 38:31Speaker 1: That is not that unusual? My brother all winter was
- 38:34Speaker 1: like a rog and green, big gobs of green fam. Man,
- 38:38Speaker 1: you haven't unless you've lived it. Hey, I did live it.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I was your brother. I mean you were my brother.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I mean I had the same thing brother I had
- 38:46Speaker 1: every year I had bronchitis as a kid, as a
- 38:48Speaker 1: young adult, will and to my adult years. I mean
- 38:51Speaker 1: there are people that probably still remember me when I
- 38:52Speaker 1: was on the air everyday live and I had the
- 38:54Speaker 1: horse throat. Oh you were yeah, it was wretched.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Yeah, to do half the voices you was doing.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Somehow I managed though, and so you had you hawk
- 39:03Speaker 1: ah man, Yeah, man, what's with you? I didn't get
- 39:06Speaker 1: any colds. I was very fit. I lifted weights. I
- 39:10Speaker 1: doubled as a lumberjack. Some guy would He gave me
- 39:12Speaker 1: his pants and his shirt to wear because he was
- 39:14Speaker 1: not supposed to be off the job. So you were
- 39:17Speaker 1: doubling as a lumber jet. Yes, I was, but it
- 39:18Speaker 1: wasn't like I was in a movie or anything. What
- 39:21Speaker 1: do you mean you doubled as a lumberjack? Did I
- 39:24Speaker 1: just get done? Time? There was a guy I knew
- 39:25Speaker 1: up here at the lumber camp in the Sierra Nevadas.
- 39:28Speaker 1: He needed to take off two days a week because
- 39:30Speaker 1: he had this, you know, he had a grow up him.
- 39:32Speaker 1: He had a girl in the village. So I would
- 39:34Speaker 1: put on his hat in his pants and from behind.
- 39:37Speaker 1: They thought it was They thought he would he me.
- 39:40Speaker 1: They thought me was he. They thought I was him. Okay,
- 39:45Speaker 1: So anyway, yeah, so I was. I was fit, is
- 39:48Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say. What are you shaking your
- 39:50Speaker 1: head at? I'm learning about you being fit because you
- 39:54Speaker 1: doubled as a lumberjack filling in for a guy. He
- 39:56Speaker 1: had a girl down in the village. What do you
- 39:58Speaker 1: mean village? Don't you mean town?
- 40:00Speaker 3: Oh?
- 40:00Speaker 1: I mean village. This is a very small lumbering camp
- 40:03Speaker 1: in this year with Nevada's way back in the sixties.
- 40:07Speaker 1: And I would go into town, or he would go
- 40:09Speaker 1: into town. He'd come back with, you know, some gift.
- 40:11Speaker 1: He'd bring me back a pizza or a can of
- 40:13Speaker 1: sardines or something like that. Did you get paid? I
- 40:16Speaker 1: got paid by him, yes, but he had to get
- 40:18Speaker 1: paid first, and they didn't paid until, you know, the
- 40:21Speaker 1: summer was over. Did you eventually get paid. I understand
- 40:25Speaker 1: that he wanted to pay me, but I left the
- 40:26Speaker 1: camp to go back. I had to go back to school,
- 40:28Speaker 1: so you never get paid. My understanding is he wanted
- 40:32Speaker 1: to pay me, but no I did. I wasn't there
- 40:33Speaker 1: to get paid. Well why didn't you stick around and
- 40:35Speaker 1: get paid for the second time? Oh you had to go? Wow?
- 40:39Speaker 1: Uh look at Phil. Not everybody is all about money
- 40:42Speaker 1: like you. Okay, good god man? What say you?
- 40:47Speaker 2: General?
- 40:48Speaker 1: Who isn't about money? I'm not about money. I'm about loyalty, decency.
- 40:55Speaker 1: That was you, Yes, it was I'm sorry. Well thanks
- 40:57Speaker 1: a lot, General, I'm sorry I had some of your
- 40:59Speaker 1: smart dogs. That's you're the second person ripping me off
- 41:02Speaker 1: with those smart dogs. I didn't rip you up, but
- 41:04Speaker 1: one time I had five fully loaded smart dogs. You
- 41:08Speaker 1: guys must like them.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Oh man, Dad, jump, turn a fan on now, going?
- 41:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, right, turn a fan on? Yeah, turn a
- 41:14Speaker 1: fan on on you bud? Right? Hell? Is that that's
- 41:20Speaker 1: your fan hub?
- 41:20Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 41:23Speaker 1: Uh, I'm sorry, that's the Can you do it again?
- 41:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Why doesn't that thing last longer?
- 41:27Speaker 2: Well, it's because we don't need a fan. We're down
- 41:29Speaker 2: at the beach. You really do you?
- 41:31Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:31Speaker 1: I know all about living at the beach, all right, okay,
- 41:34Speaker 1: so yeah, I'll do it. So uh yeah, I mean
- 41:37Speaker 1: it's all right. You had a couple of smart dogs
- 41:40Speaker 1: fully loaded. Yes, I'm watching my diet. Phil, Do you
- 41:43Speaker 1: understand that it was great? Wait a minute, Phil's looking
- 41:46Speaker 1: at me like I'm some kind of a like a hog.
- 41:49Speaker 1: You think, Oh, I get it. So I'm some kind
- 41:51Speaker 1: of a rooting hog. Is that it?
- 41:53Speaker 3: No?
- 41:54Speaker 1: I had five delicately loaded. See this is what they
- 41:57Speaker 1: don't get. Yeah, I had five very What are you
- 42:00Speaker 1: looking at?
- 42:00Speaker 2: What do you mean delicately?
- 42:02Speaker 1: I am a woman all right, I don't overeat. I diet.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I had five of fills. Actually I had seven. Yeah, no,
- 42:10Speaker 1: you had eight. The whole pack was gone. Okay, big wow.
- 42:13Speaker 1: I had eight fifty calorie smart dogs delicately loaded but yes, fully,
- 42:19Speaker 1: but delicately or what does it mean? It means that
- 42:22Speaker 1: when I put the ketchup in the mustard, Yeah, pinky up.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Your pinky finger was up in the air. You know
- 42:28Speaker 1: something you guys don't understand. Well, that's what you did. Yes,
- 42:31Speaker 1: I delicately held the spoon with the pinky in the
- 42:34Speaker 1: air and loaded up six dogs. Oh I want to hurt,
- 42:39Speaker 1: so Margaret, you're gonna go to jail. I'm not going
- 42:42Speaker 1: to jail for shit.
