- 0:22Speaker 1: He holds a lot of opinions that are controversial and
- 0:27Speaker 1: also not so controversial, which we talked to him about
- 0:30Speaker 1: some of them, but uh, you know, we had to
- 0:32Speaker 1: have Glasses Malone. He got a podcast on the Black

- 1:06Speaker 1: get into the interview with Glasses Malone Yo, Man Boutlet
- 1:09Speaker 1: cav podcast special guests in here. This guy is supposed
- 1:11Speaker 1: to have been on the show a bunch of times.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I got g Malone. Glasses Malone is here. Welcome man Man,
- 1:18Speaker 1: thank you for having me. I'm just looking at all
- 1:20Speaker 1: these plaques and shit plaques flax Galore Yo. You launched
- 1:27Speaker 1: your podcast finally, yeah, which I think had been something
- 1:31Speaker 1: that was long overdue because every time you do an interview,
- 1:35Speaker 1: every time you you have very very polarizing opinions. I'm
- 1:39Speaker 1: not saying they're wrong or right their opinions, so you know,
- 1:41Speaker 1: but I think I'm glad. Did Charla Magne have a
- 1:45Speaker 1: lot to do with as all? Charlottagne? Yeah, I would
- 1:48Speaker 1: have never did it. I never would have did it.
- 1:51Speaker 1: What what was like the deciding factory? You're like, you
- 1:55Speaker 1: know what, fuck it, I'm gonna do this podcast. Just
- 1:57Speaker 1: trusting somebody that's a friend. Yeah. See see the hommie,
- 2:00Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And he's given me, he's
- 2:03Speaker 1: giving me pretty good advice up to this point. If
- 2:05Speaker 1: I asked him, he's always been honest and sincere. So
- 2:08Speaker 1: when he came to me, I was like, I just
- 2:10Speaker 1: can't keep telling you no, Like I'll try it. Let's go.
- 2:13Speaker 1: How's it going. It's just getting good to me. Now
- 2:16Speaker 1: we are about twenty four conversations in so it's starting
- 2:20Speaker 1: to make sense. I think I did my favorite one
- 2:24Speaker 1: the other day. It was about COVID and I talked
- 2:26Speaker 1: to this doctor that's deal with like somewhere near I
- 2:30Speaker 1: think his number was over two thousand patients of COVID. Yeah, okay,
- 2:34Speaker 1: like just so many. And he was saying to us,
- 2:37Speaker 1: just different ideas. So it was really it was it
- 2:40Speaker 1: was very much a polarizing conversation. It was about like
- 2:43Speaker 1: we talked about the vaccine and the confusions in the
- 2:46Speaker 1: black community, and he understood and he started explaining what
- 2:48Speaker 1: the vaccine were, you know, was about different ideas and
- 2:53Speaker 1: it was good. So I thought it was dope, what
- 2:55Speaker 1: do you have you Are you vaccinated? No? Do you
- 2:58Speaker 1: plan on getting vaccinated? Yes? So that's something that you're
- 3:01Speaker 1: open to. And And because you brought up the black
- 3:04Speaker 1: community in the vaccine, because it feels like they're the
- 3:06Speaker 1: two biggest points of the population that aren't getting vaccinated
- 3:12Speaker 1: or like the really hardcore right wing people and then
- 3:14Speaker 1: a lot of the African American community. When you look
- 3:16Speaker 1: at the numbers, what do you think is like the
- 3:20Speaker 1: disconnect or the misinformation or the And I'm not saying
- 3:23Speaker 1: that the vaccine is like a shoe in Like I
- 3:26Speaker 1: think people should do whatever the fuck they want to
- 3:29Speaker 1: their uniality, you know what I'm saying. I don't like
- 3:31Speaker 1: the idea of forcing anyone to do anything. I think
- 3:33Speaker 1: you should get it. It's a good idea, But I
- 3:36Speaker 1: definitely am against any sort of like mandate because at
- 3:40Speaker 1: the end of the day, we're still in America and
- 3:42Speaker 1: there's some shitsu free country, you know what I'm saying.
- 3:44Speaker 1: But what are your thoughts on the whole just the
- 3:45Speaker 1: whole ship man, Like with COVID and and and the
- 3:48Speaker 1: vaccine and all that. Right wing America and Black America
- 3:53Speaker 1: just are the two biggest groups that don't trust the government.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I don't know why right wing America, because everything's been
- 4:01Speaker 1: good that the government does so much good. I really
- 4:04Speaker 1: I would like to release so I understand our concerned.
- 4:08Speaker 1: You know, it ain't necessarily like it's been made that
- 4:11Speaker 1: you want to help us live right. So it's always
- 4:13Speaker 1: that confusion, and they just did a bad job with
- 4:18Speaker 1: handling it. And I can't knock them because I'm not
- 4:20Speaker 1: saying I would have did a better one. It did
- 4:22Speaker 1: just kind of happen fast playing, so you're making a
- 4:27Speaker 1: thousand adjustments on the swing, and it was just so
- 4:29Speaker 1: much misinformation the whole time. It was just like bad decisions,
- 4:33Speaker 1: like you close down everybody's businesses, but then you open Walmart,
- 4:37Speaker 1: which don't make sense in theory. You should have closed
- 4:39Speaker 1: down Walmart and opened the all the small businesses and
- 4:42Speaker 1: allow minimum people. So it's always these questions and that
- 4:46Speaker 1: bothered people. You know what I'm saying, don't nobody black
- 4:48Speaker 1: think America want them to live? And then everybody is like, well,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you know, it's the same people taking them, but shit,
- 4:55Speaker 1: they can manipulate shit. For DNA, we still got special
- 4:58Speaker 1: things about our anatomy that make special. So it's always
- 5:01Speaker 1: those questions, do you were you ever like you say
- 5:06Speaker 1: you plan on getting vaccinated? Was there something were you
- 5:09Speaker 1: ever like on the side of being like not fucked
- 5:12Speaker 1: that I ain't doing it? Did something happen to convince
- 5:14Speaker 1: you to do it? Or you just haven't gotten around
- 5:16Speaker 1: to getting it yet, Well it's not first off, right,
- 5:18Speaker 1: So obviously I don't necessarily have a ton of respect
- 5:22Speaker 1: for the FDA. They do a horrible job, you know
- 5:25Speaker 1: with the foods, and plus it's not even FDA proved
- 5:28Speaker 1: right now, That's what I'm saying. So I'm saying I
- 5:30Speaker 1: don't have a ton of trust for the FDA, right right,
- 5:32Speaker 1: But I do respect that they're attempting to act like
- 5:36Speaker 1: they're trying so at least fool me a little bit,
- 5:39Speaker 1: Like you act like you can. But if the FDA
- 5:42Speaker 1: hasn't approved it, I'm just like, hold up, you know,
- 5:44Speaker 1: it ain't that much of an emergency. I'm not that
- 5:47Speaker 1: scared of don enough to where I'm like, I'm gonna
- 5:49Speaker 1: just rush out and just do anything. Plus, I didn't
- 5:52Speaker 1: do a ton of research on the vaccines, you know
- 5:54Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I didn't know, Like it's new methods
- 5:56Speaker 1: that they create the new vaccines with now, I mean,
- 5:59Speaker 1: like the five there, those are new methods that are
- 6:02Speaker 1: just now being inacted where your body is creating, you know,
- 6:05Speaker 1: from what the doctor explained to me on the podcast,
- 6:08Speaker 1: your body, you know they're giving you like the protein
- 6:10Speaker 1: makeups and your body is creating the COVID, you know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: the COVID virus itself, and you know you're fighting it
- 6:17Speaker 1: with your own stuff. I don't even like the sound
- 6:20Speaker 1: of that. That's like, you know, refining my wheat or
- 6:23Speaker 1: refining my sugar or pasteurizing my damn milk. Stop fucking
- 6:26Speaker 1: with my ship. Give me, you know, make it a
- 6:29Speaker 1: little weaker, you know. So if I do it, I
- 6:32Speaker 1: you know, when I do it, I would do the
- 6:33Speaker 1: Johnson and Johnson. That's me obviously, the Johnson and Johnson
- 6:36Speaker 1: and fucked up a lot of people. But me, you know,
- 6:39Speaker 1: that's what I would fuck with. Just take the one,
- 6:41Speaker 1: the one one and done. Well. It's the old school way,
- 6:44Speaker 1: with the old school type vaccine, Yeah, where they take
- 6:48Speaker 1: the virus waking it up a little bit so your
- 6:50Speaker 1: body could That's how it used to be. So I
- 6:55Speaker 1: like that way versus you know again, you know, all
- 6:58Speaker 1: of this modern stuff of you know, convenience speed. I'm
- 7:03Speaker 1: not tripping. I got time. Like I'd rather fight it
- 7:06Speaker 1: and deal with it like that way. Yeah, I think that,
- 7:08Speaker 1: like for me, like this whole COVID shit is, like
- 7:12Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I'm tired of this shit, it's to
- 7:15Speaker 1: the point where it's like, damn, there's a new variant.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And I feel like, especially here, you know, we ain't
- 7:22Speaker 1: fucking liberal. It's hope. You know, we are in the
- 7:27Speaker 1: most liberal well, I mean Portland. You could do Heroin
- 7:29Speaker 1: and it's all right, but you know, but we're in California.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's pretty good. It's pretty close to liberal. It's this
- 7:34Speaker 1: liberal of the world. Yeah, and it's funny you said that.
- 7:38Speaker 1: As soon as you said that, it made me think
- 7:40Speaker 1: of something so like, I was so unvested in the
- 7:43Speaker 1: conversation of conservative and liberals, so I didn't realize how
- 7:46Speaker 1: states view each other as states. And I remember I'm
- 7:49Speaker 1: jumping on the guy yellow Wolf. I'm jumping on his
- 7:53Speaker 1: head because he talking about California. I'm not realizing he
- 7:56Speaker 1: talking about that whole liberal conservative ship. And I remember
- 7:59Speaker 1: telling like, cause you better watch what you say. Like now,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, I get it. This is some white
- 8:04Speaker 1: people white people shit. Yeah, I don't know. I mean,
- 8:07Speaker 1: I didn't know Yo was talking about California. Yeah, he
- 8:09Speaker 1: had like this crazy This was like about two years ago,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and he was like talking shit like you know, fucking
- 8:14Speaker 1: yuppie motherfuckers and fucking liberal talking shit like, hey, bro,
- 8:18Speaker 1: you gotta take California out to your mouth like that.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But I didn't realize I was ignorant to the conversation.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Why just mean in terms of like how like everyone
- 8:27Speaker 1: handled right? Well, I'm talking about right now, how we
- 8:30Speaker 1: see everything getting handled right? So I could see California
- 8:33Speaker 1: and shut down again. Yeah, I can see it happening
- 8:35Speaker 1: because we got to put on the show. Yeah, because
- 8:38Speaker 1: we gotta act like we care about the citizens right
- 8:40Speaker 1: right right now. I don't know if that's gonna happen
- 8:41Speaker 1: with a Gavin trying to keep his gig, you know
- 8:44Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It's real bad for the slick looking
- 8:46Speaker 1: real bad. But no, in terms of just like COVID,
- 8:50Speaker 1: like I think I've kind of been on all spectrums
- 8:52Speaker 1: of like I'm over this shit. Okay, I have had it,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I got vaccined. What the fuck else do you need
- 8:58Speaker 1: me to do? It's just don't work that way, man,
- 9:01Speaker 1: They gotta You know, the thing about California, you know,
- 9:05Speaker 1: even down to the culture itself, is all about saving face.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So California always trying to save face from the top
- 9:12Speaker 1: of the food chain. Such a huge economy on its
- 9:14Speaker 1: own that everyone looks at Cali. You know, obviously, places
- 9:19Speaker 1: like New York As like this the example for the
- 9:23Speaker 1: rest of the country. Then you got motherfuckers like Texas
- 9:26Speaker 1: who are like, suck my Florida, Florida dark. Then I
- 9:30Speaker 1: love I love the attitude. That's the gangster rap attitude.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Texas and Florida is the full gainst the rap. You
- 9:36Speaker 1: talked about conservative liberal shit. I feel like people could
- 9:43Speaker 1: go onto your Twitter at any given time during the
- 9:45Speaker 1: election and during the last few years and maybe confuse
- 9:48Speaker 1: you or label you as a black conservative because I've
- 9:52Speaker 1: seen you retweet shit from Candice Owens and so where
- 9:56Speaker 1: do you cause you're You're like, I love you because
- 9:59Speaker 1: you're unapologetic yourself and I'm honest with you and and
- 10:02Speaker 1: what you think, you will say it no matter whose feelings. Again,
- 10:05Speaker 1: the funniest shit I ever saw you say was about
- 10:08Speaker 1: Rick Ross's clothes, and yo, Ross is a boss, but
- 10:13Speaker 1: the killer those clothes ain't made in his size. In
- 10:17Speaker 1: my top five you feel me is my favorite and
- 10:20Speaker 1: he's still mad at me for but I'm like, it's
- 10:23Speaker 1: not about him as much as it's about how the
- 10:25Speaker 1: public wants to view. You know what the conversation is.
- 10:30Speaker 1: You know how much they wanted exaggerated, so you know
- 10:33Speaker 1: you anyway, they don't make that shirt in five X right,
- 10:37Speaker 1: they don't make none of that shit. But no, But like,
- 10:39Speaker 1: you're so honest with your opinion, and I think it's
- 10:42Speaker 1: white people love you. I think it's white people follow you.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I think too, there's the reason why they hate you.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But I'm curious, like there's definitely some of your viewpoints.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Would you consider yourself a black conservative? And I'm probably
- 10:55Speaker 1: the most liberal person in America. That's to being honest.
- 10:59Speaker 1: But what I'm not is full of shit. And that's
- 11:01Speaker 1: the problem with the liberal population. It's more for front,
- 11:05Speaker 1: it's more for face values. Feel good inside. Yeah, they
- 11:08Speaker 1: want to look like they want people to look at
- 11:11Speaker 1: me I'm a good person, versus I genuinely am a
- 11:14Speaker 1: good person. I give a fuck. I genuinely care about
- 11:18Speaker 1: those points. So I could never stand on the side
- 11:21Speaker 1: with them. And the thing I respect about conservative is
- 11:24Speaker 1: they genuinely the piece of shit that they are. Right. See,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I could fuck with anything genuine I can't fuck with
- 11:29Speaker 1: things when people faking like it's some kind of confusion
- 11:33Speaker 1: that like, you know, the concept of racism is just
- 11:36Speaker 1: rooted in conservative Noah, Liberals in the same fucking way.
- 11:39Speaker 1: They just acting like they fuck with you. Yeah, I
- 11:42Speaker 1: think that the most frustrause I would say that, I'm like,
- 11:46Speaker 1: historically very liberal. I've voted Democrat every time, you know
- 11:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But I think that what's crazy about
- 11:54Speaker 1: what Trump did was he brought out the radicals on
- 11:58Speaker 1: every side exactly because the liberals get so gangst them. Man,
- 12:03Speaker 1: them dudes have some shit. It was a brother out there. Man,
- 12:05Speaker 1: This motherfucker was talking crab he ready, I'm ready, I
- 12:08Speaker 1: beat somebody ass. I'm like, the fuck is going on? Yeah?
- 12:12Speaker 1: Trump brought out the crazy racist like scum of the
- 12:15Speaker 1: earth that was always there, but now they're more comfortable
- 12:19Speaker 1: saying it, and you know which I was good with.
- 12:22Speaker 1: And then on the other end, it's like cancel culture
- 12:25Speaker 1: is so prevalent now, and it's like there's this loud
- 12:30Speaker 1: minority on Twitter of people that control corporations, that control celebrities.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Cause it's like it might be a a hundred motherfuckers
- 12:39Speaker 1: on Twitter, but if you get a hundred tweets and
- 12:42Speaker 1: you're a celebrity, because you said something that might not
- 12:44Speaker 1: sit well with whatever the fuck is the the woke
- 12:48Speaker 1: fucking talking point for the week. You gotta go and apologize,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like, I just think it
- 12:55Speaker 1: sucks because now literally there's no like I feel like
- 12:59Speaker 1: reason and like just being a normal person that's not crazy.
- 13:03Speaker 1: It's like it's hard nowadays because there's each extreme on
- 13:08Speaker 1: each side controls, whether it's the media, whatever it's on TV,
- 13:13Speaker 1: whether it's you know, to know what you're being controlled
- 13:15Speaker 1: by people get and also giving a fuck of what
- 13:18Speaker 1: people think. Well, you're controlled by money, right, So like
- 13:21Speaker 1: like let's say the baby in his situation, Right, he's
- 13:24Speaker 1: only losing because he allowed them to control how much
- 13:27Speaker 1: money he's making. He allowed them to say, you're gonna
- 13:30Speaker 1: book me on these festivals until we decide that this
- 13:33Speaker 1: is our culture and we are controlling it and we
- 13:35Speaker 1: could do our own thing. We empower them laying mass
- 13:38Speaker 1: festivals facts, We empower those juppy ass events. We're the
- 13:42Speaker 1: reason that you exist. It's some kind of confusion that
- 13:45Speaker 1: we need you. It's some kind of confusion that Rolling Loud.
- 13:48Speaker 1: We didn't make that shit. We made that shit. You
- 13:51Speaker 1: take us off of that shit. That shit is nothing
- 13:53Speaker 1: but a fucking reject version of fucking will stop right
- 13:57Speaker 1: so again until we understand the power in our culture
- 14:00Speaker 1: that this hip hop shit is. Well, guess what, every
- 14:03Speaker 1: time we try to go to mainstream America, anytime they
- 14:06Speaker 1: feel like they want to, they could just slap us
- 14:07Speaker 1: down and be like, fuck you, nigga, get damn bam.
- 14:11Speaker 1: But if we decided to take it into our own
- 14:13Speaker 1: hands and control it, then we could say what we
- 14:15Speaker 1: want to. We could control our own message. Right now,
- 14:18Speaker 1: we have the control of the dollars. I think the
- 14:21Speaker 1: Baby's probably the first example. I think I really feel
- 14:25Speaker 1: like where there's like motherfuckers if he's not canceled. This
- 14:30Speaker 1: is the closest I've seen someone as far as hip
- 14:33Speaker 1: hop is concerned of like a superstar right now. I'm
- 14:35Speaker 1: not talking about rappers that have said dumb shit and
- 14:37Speaker 1: then we don't hear from him. I mean a superstar,
- 14:39Speaker 1: right And honestly, I think what the Baby said at
- 14:44Speaker 1: best is ignorant. At best is ignorant, but really, at
- 14:48Speaker 1: the least it's just exclusionary. Like I wouldn't be mad
- 14:52Speaker 1: if I went to a concert with Elton John and
- 14:54Speaker 1: he jamming his songs, bro, and he like, hey, if
- 14:56Speaker 1: you suck Dick's make some noise. As a man, I
- 14:58Speaker 1: wouldn't be mad. I just wouldn't make noise. Feel me,
- 15:02Speaker 1: I wouldn't be like, oh, you know Elton John excluded
- 15:04Speaker 1: me in these conversations, bro. Stop trying to always be included.
- 15:08Speaker 1: That's what's wrong with America now. They always want to
- 15:10Speaker 1: act like everybody needs to be included. That's not true.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You just don't need to be discriminated against or necessarily,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know, somebody being bigoted your prejudice, But I don't
- 15:22Speaker 1: got to fuck with you. We were so desperate to
- 15:26Speaker 1: make everybody fuck with each other man fuck that. It's
- 15:28Speaker 1: like everybody wants to be included in everything, but isn't necessarily.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Don't got nothing to do with you. My views, as
- 15:36Speaker 1: much as my views are liberal, I would never be
- 15:39Speaker 1: with them pussies, this crip like I got way too
- 15:42Speaker 1: much attitude. My shit is too stand up and conservatives
- 15:46Speaker 1: at least, they're just assholes feel me. And I couldn't
- 15:49Speaker 1: be that because I don't have those views, but I
- 15:51Speaker 1: respect that it's authentic and it's from this is who
- 15:53Speaker 1: we are versus somebody y'all the same way, but y'all
- 15:56Speaker 1: trying to act like y'all give a fuck about people
- 15:58Speaker 1: the baby like I really didn't think. Like, first of all,
- 16:02Speaker 1: we've been to plenty of rap shows, plenty of nightclubs
- 16:05Speaker 1: where they say, yo, if you pussy, don't stink, if
- 16:06Speaker 1: you ain't got no pussies, get mad. If he's just
- 16:09Speaker 1: cluding us, my pussy stinks, it's not my have a
- 16:12Speaker 1: I have a I have a fucking He just cluded me.
- 16:17Speaker 1: What I'm saying is like what he what what he
- 16:19Speaker 1: did was rooted in like a real thing in the clubs,
- 16:22Speaker 1: especially in the South. It's normal. Now did did In
- 16:26Speaker 1: my opinion, did he fuck up? Sure? I think the
- 16:29Speaker 1: worst thing he said was the HIV thing, but because
- 16:33Speaker 1: it was insensitive, but at the same time, right, all
- 16:38Speaker 1: he I mean, and I'm not saying that he needed
- 16:40Speaker 1: to do this, but all he really had to do
- 16:43Speaker 1: was be like, hey man, you know, if you've ever
- 16:45Speaker 1: been to the club in the South, this is just
- 16:47Speaker 1: how we I just said, some crazy ship off the
- 16:49Speaker 1: top of my head. Obviously if you have HIV, that
- 16:54Speaker 1: was you know, he doubled he like quadrupled down on
- 16:56Speaker 1: that show. But you're supposed to right and again right.
- 17:01Speaker 1: It's not saying everybody, he's not. He didn't say everybody
- 17:03Speaker 1: with HIV or age dies in two to three weeks.
- 17:06Speaker 1: That's not what he said. He said, if you didn't,
- 17:09Speaker 1: if you don't have age or some shit, that you're
- 17:12Speaker 1: gonna die two to three weeks. Make noise, Make some noise. Again,
- 17:16Speaker 1: it's one of those things where we are hearing somebody
- 17:20Speaker 1: and not listening to them, and we're reacting. Listen, if
- 17:23Speaker 1: you really cared about the baby, what you would have did,
- 17:25Speaker 1: you would say, hey, man, you need to sit down
- 17:26Speaker 1: with Magic Johnson. Y'all need to have a conversation on tape.
- 17:30Speaker 1: This is required for me. He will educate you and
- 17:33Speaker 1: you lace Magic with the tips and they have a
- 17:35Speaker 1: conversation that's recorded. You put it on TV. Educate people.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Let this man go get his fucking money. But again,
- 17:41Speaker 1: it's not about that. It's about nigga. You better watch
- 17:43Speaker 1: what you say. It ain't about none of the other shit.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It's a thousand motherfuckers that said words. But nigga, watch
- 17:50Speaker 1: what you say. You're getting out of line. Nigga. You
- 17:52Speaker 1: you feel me, you're getting out of control. Well, I
- 17:54Speaker 1: think what you said too is like a lot of
- 17:56Speaker 1: this shit is about saving face or or acting like
- 18:00Speaker 1: you care. Right, So if you're if as soon as
- 18:03Speaker 1: one festival took him off, you knew any other festival
- 18:07Speaker 1: that kept him on would look like they're a promotion point.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Oh no, they're homophobic, or like you said, all the
- 18:12Speaker 1: festivals that took them off. You saw it on the
- 18:15Speaker 1: Shade Room, You saw their flyer on every single news outlet,
- 18:18Speaker 1: So it was like, not only is it free promotion,
- 18:21Speaker 1: but it also checks the box of like, Okay, we
- 18:24Speaker 1: kind of have to do this because one motherfucker took
- 18:27Speaker 1: them off. If they if every other festival doesn't follow suit,
- 18:31Speaker 1: they're gonna get looked at like they're they're homophobic. And
- 18:35Speaker 1: I think I just think that, like like you said,
- 18:37Speaker 1: like I liked what Miightley Cyrus posted because she was
- 18:40Speaker 1: like I would like to educate him as opposed to
- 18:43Speaker 1: and then she's not shit, I hate him l John
- 18:46Speaker 1: And I was like, Bro, you don't even use your Twitter,
- 18:48Speaker 1: Bro madonnad what the fuck is Bro? You ain't did
- 18:50Speaker 1: nothing that matter? Do you think that it was smart
- 18:52Speaker 1: for him to though, like lean into it. Yeah, because
- 18:55Speaker 1: you're fucking geyster rapp. You a fucking ganyster. That's fair,
- 18:58Speaker 1: feel me. But the only the only thing was as
- 19:01Speaker 1: long as he's okay with losing the revenue that they
- 19:03Speaker 1: was provided for him, he'll be fine. But obviously he wasn't.
- 19:06Speaker 1: He came out and apologized and that's what he probably
- 19:09Speaker 1: getting three four hundred show. But you got to make
- 19:11Speaker 1: your own three four hundred. I don't disagree with you,
- 19:13Speaker 1: but I'm just saying, well, I mean, you know, after
- 19:15Speaker 1: the seventh ary eighth one, you start adding up that money.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I went through the same because the day but whether
- 19:21Speaker 1: we like it or not, he's a gainst rapper. He's
- 19:22Speaker 1: also a pop star. But that's but that's the point.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Because he is a gangster rapper. That's fair. So the
- 19:27Speaker 1: first time you turn it to a pop star, stopped
- 19:29Speaker 1: being against the rapper, it's probably not gonna work out.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I went through the same kind of thing. It wasn't
- 19:35Speaker 1: quite that because my step was still rooted in a
- 19:37Speaker 1: bit of intellect where I was talking about lilnaz X
- 19:40Speaker 1: right and I was saying somebody asked me on my Twitter,
- 19:43Speaker 1: they said, hey, man, gee, you know do I think
- 19:47Speaker 1: lilnaz X is a is like a tool of lgbt
- 19:51Speaker 1: I said, well, really, I tweeted, but I didn't at
- 19:54Speaker 1: the person. I said, Lil nonz X is not a
- 19:57Speaker 1: puppet for LGBTQ anything. He's a puppet for white supremacy.
- 20:02Speaker 1: And I said, really, more than anything that I'm not
- 20:04Speaker 1: feeling about his art. You know what I'm saying. He's
- 20:07Speaker 1: fucking corny, Like it's just corny as shit. Is it executed? Well? Yes?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Is there some decent idea there? Yes, the overall idea,
- 20:16Speaker 1: the whole shit is just actually lame in corny. He's
- 20:20Speaker 1: it's a guy named Bert Williams, right, that was a
- 20:23Speaker 1: that was a black dude that used to do black face.
- 20:26Speaker 1: He was a super talented actor, but he was doing
- 20:28Speaker 1: corny shit. Bro, why would you black facial ship? And
- 20:32Speaker 1: that's what I feel like he's doing with that culture.
- 20:34Speaker 1: It's like you just over the top, bro, And I
- 20:37Speaker 1: get it, but it's like sometimes it's corny. It's just
- 20:39Speaker 1: what I say about Little because you and I had
- 20:41Speaker 1: a little conversation about Little Nizax and the Satan shoe
- 20:44Speaker 1: and all that shit. But I saw your tweet about
- 20:46Speaker 1: about the white supremacy thing, and I was like, I
- 20:51Speaker 1: truly believe. Now, obviously he's a pops musician, me and
- 20:56Speaker 1: you and the type of music that we I'm not
- 20:58Speaker 1: riding around in my car listening a little now, nobody
- 21:01Speaker 1: people are like yeah, like white people, right, or like
- 21:05Speaker 1: main street people. He's a pop star, sure right, he
- 21:07Speaker 1: makes pop music. But he's a brother, and that's the problem.
- 21:09Speaker 1: That's fair. That's fair. When you're a brother, we expect
- 21:12Speaker 1: your ship to have some soul, some depth. He's fucking
- 21:16Speaker 1: a cornball and that ship is fucking irritating. And your
- 21:19Speaker 1: record's got to be as good as so listen, you
- 21:23Speaker 1: can have that position that you subjectively don't like his music, right,
- 21:28Speaker 1: I don't know if I don't. I like old Town Rod.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I just don't like the shitty the last few records.
- 21:32Speaker 1: So as someone who is on the radio side, right,
- 21:36Speaker 1: someone who can like say, oh, like that's a hit record,
- 21:41Speaker 1: that's like, I feel like the record he put out
- 21:43Speaker 1: with the what's it called Monetaro? Yeah, I heard that
- 21:48Speaker 1: record and I was like, oh, this is a hit. Now.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That record did go number one at radio, right, it
- 21:55Speaker 1: went number one, but it probably was more rooted in
- 21:57Speaker 1: ads than just it worked its way up. It was
- 22:00Speaker 1: probably number one within the first week or two. I
- 22:02Speaker 1: wasn't It was a slow build. I promise you I
- 22:03Speaker 1: could show you the media based charts. It barely hit Also,
- 22:05Speaker 1: it came out before the video. No no, no no.
- 22:07Speaker 1: The video came out and it barely hit number one
- 22:09Speaker 1: on Rhythm like maybe like three or four weeks ago.
- 22:12Speaker 1: But was that a month ago? The song came out
- 22:14Speaker 1: in April. It actually came out in March, third week
- 22:18Speaker 1: of March, because that's when the video came out. Yeah,
- 22:20Speaker 1: because because I went through some legal shit this you remember, yes, okay,
- 22:24Speaker 1: go ahead, go ahead. So I heard that record and
- 22:28Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, this is a this is a
- 22:29Speaker 1: good record for radio, Like it's a pop It's gonna
- 22:32Speaker 1: kill it on Kiss FM. It's gonna you know. But
- 22:35Speaker 1: is it for me? Nah? But you know the ship
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'm listening to. But I could subjectively look in Little
- 22:41Speaker 1: nas X's music and be like, in my opinion, now
- 22:44Speaker 1: you got your opinion. I'm not saying it ain't corny,
- 22:47Speaker 1: but I think he's making good records. I'm not saying
- 22:51Speaker 1: he's making good rap records or good soul records. I
- 22:54Speaker 1: just think he's making good record. But you know my limitation,
- 22:56Speaker 1: it'll be disrespected. It saw me and think that I'm
- 22:58Speaker 1: just some kind of I like records, right, I don't
- 23:01Speaker 1: know you're right, and you're someone who's always been that way.
- 23:03Speaker 1: So Montero as a record is even as a pop
- 23:07Speaker 1: record is. It's written decent, it's executed. I just think
- 23:13Speaker 1: it's very like it lacks something original, right, And it
- 23:17Speaker 1: don't get me wrong because a lot of times, right
- 23:20Speaker 1: we're in spaces where you know people are doing the
- 23:23Speaker 1: next thing or the thing that everybody's doing. But pop
- 23:26Speaker 1: is definitely a higher standard where you're supposed to dig deeper.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Bruno Mars makes pop records. That's fair, and that ship
- 23:32Speaker 1: is some ship fire of course. So when you say
- 23:35Speaker 1: a record, I'm thinking like Little X's Montero or Silk
- 23:40Speaker 1: Sonic leave the door open, so Soonic leave the door open.
- 23:44Speaker 1: That got so I would rather listen to n Sync,
- 23:47Speaker 1: And that's fair because the record is better. I'm not
- 23:51Speaker 1: saying that the records aren't better. I'm just saying he's
- 23:52Speaker 1: got good records. It ain't like he's putting out done. No,
- 23:56Speaker 1: they're not horrible. They're not horrible. And so my thing
- 23:58Speaker 1: is is I think little nos X is somebody who,
- 24:05Speaker 1: like you said, when you first got in here, we
- 24:07Speaker 1: had an off camera conversation about a conversation you have
- 24:10Speaker 1: with t Pain and how you were like, yo, whatever
- 24:13Speaker 1: you are, lean into it one thousand percent. So you
- 24:15Speaker 1: started wearing your glasses because your name's glasses on but
- 24:18Speaker 1: you never used to wear glasses, so now you wear glasses,
- 24:20Speaker 1: but they're big. Little X is a gay dude, right,
- 24:24Speaker 1: and he's leaning into that. But again, right, so I agree, right,
- 24:28Speaker 1: it's a way to do everything. But then so like,
- 24:31Speaker 1: let's say, if my name is Glasses, right, and I'm
- 24:33Speaker 1: a crip rapper, those are my two brands, and I
- 24:36Speaker 1: walk in this motherfucker where Bandana's tied around my wrists,
- 24:39Speaker 1: Bandanna's tied around all my joints, my neck, my heads.
- 24:43Speaker 1: It's corny. It's extra. So not in this way past.
- 24:47Speaker 1: This is extra. That shit is stupid and ridiculous. But
- 24:51Speaker 1: that don't mean everybody can't tell, right, So let me
- 24:54Speaker 1: ask you this though, because if little nas X was
- 24:57Speaker 1: a dude who was straight and he was making out
- 24:59Speaker 1: with bitches on stage and there was a bunch of
- 25:01Speaker 1: half naked bitches dancing around him, Nobody would question it.
- 25:04Speaker 1: That's not true. It's it's a belief that this is
- 25:07Speaker 1: all because I really think a lot of it is
- 25:09Speaker 1: because he's a gay dude. But that's not true because
- 25:11Speaker 1: we've never seen that. We've never seen someone quote unquote,
- 25:15Speaker 1: and like I said, I do not idental Elton John
- 25:17Speaker 1: not gay. Yeah, but I don't identify Little nos X.
- 25:19Speaker 1: And now John is the same because Little in some conversations,
- 25:22Speaker 1: people consider him hip hop, even though I don't. I
- 25:25Speaker 1: consider him a pop artist, pop art, but that raps.
- 25:28Speaker 1: He's he's certainly the first quote unquote person that raps,
- 25:33Speaker 1: that's on a level that he's on that is openly gay.
- 25:37Speaker 1: But nobody, nobody listen. He's as much as people care.
- 25:42Speaker 1: If the reason you separate him and Elton John is
- 25:46Speaker 1: because Elton John shit is really good. I mean that
- 25:49Speaker 1: John makes way better music than Little naz X, but
- 25:51Speaker 1: on thousand percent. But that's my point. So again, it's
- 25:55Speaker 1: easy and that's what everybody's doing. Like it's always the
- 25:59Speaker 1: if you if you critical of his brand, if you're
- 26:01Speaker 1: critical of his art, the immediate turn is, oh you're
- 26:04Speaker 1: just homophobic. You don't like because he gay. Let's actually
- 26:07Speaker 1: unpack the fucking records. Let's unpack the visuals. They're not
- 26:11Speaker 1: they're executed well, but but they're executed well. But he's
- 26:15Speaker 1: not making ground. That's not even making ground. We've seen
- 26:22Speaker 1: that before, right, But what it is is he's just
- 26:24Speaker 1: wrapping it up in gay face, like how Burt william
- 26:28Speaker 1: Is wrapping up like burg Williams wrapping up in black
- 26:30Speaker 1: and so he's wrapping it up and he's doing Britney
- 26:34Speaker 1: Spears in gay face. I liked it. Patnett gay face,
- 26:39Speaker 1: he's just gay like black face. He's gay face. So
- 26:42Speaker 1: he's just over dragging some shit, right, he over dragging
- 26:46Speaker 1: and just like that's shower scene is Christina Aguilera. That's
- 26:49Speaker 1: they shot that before that, that's been done. But you
- 26:51Speaker 1: just used a bunch of gay black men. You just
- 26:53Speaker 1: did it in gay face because he's a guy. But no,
- 26:55Speaker 1: but it's not because he's a gay guy. He knew
- 26:57Speaker 1: everybody would care about that. See, gay people ain't just
- 27:00Speaker 1: running around just being extra, just like black people ain't.
- 27:03Speaker 1: It's black people that's dark as black face, right, it's
- 27:06Speaker 1: just dark ass people with red lips, right, But people
- 27:10Speaker 1: ain't just running around just being a nigga, you know.
- 27:13Speaker 1: We Actually it's not as simple, right, So when you
- 27:16Speaker 1: see a black man, right, that's what makes his think
- 27:18Speaker 1: he's a gay man. But because he's unbelievably at a
- 27:23Speaker 1: thousand with trying to tell you I'm gay, bro, we
- 27:27Speaker 1: know you are. I'm not saying nothing wrong. Nobody give
- 27:30Speaker 1: a fuck. Elton John's gay. Right, All kind of people
- 27:34Speaker 1: we end up loving is gay. Nobody fucking cares, like, right,
- 27:37Speaker 1: you court, sure you care a little bit. Prince was
- 27:39Speaker 1: probably bisexual, I think everybody. But on the same token,
- 27:44Speaker 1: is it not like it's his art, right, So if
- 27:47Speaker 1: he wants to be a trailblazer for his his community,
- 27:50Speaker 1: that you really true? That's not true, I think. I
- 27:53Speaker 1: think if you think about it's like seeing Bert Williams's
- 27:55Speaker 1: trail based black face. But I don't know who Williams is.
- 27:58Speaker 1: He's the he's the big you told me so again.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I wouldn't call him a trailblazer because you're not gonna
- 28:05Speaker 1: have generations of no. No. I just mean in terms
- 28:08Speaker 1: of like, I can't think of a time in the
- 28:12Speaker 1: last twenty five to thirty years that I've been alive
- 28:14Speaker 1: and paying attention to music, that there's been an openly
- 28:17Speaker 1: gay superstar. Not talking about Adam Lambert or somebody who
- 28:22Speaker 1: don't really matter. I'm talking about a super little nosed
- 28:24Speaker 1: actually superstar. And and what I so, you and I
- 28:29Speaker 1: had a discussion about that video with the Devil, and
- 28:31Speaker 1: what I appreciated about the video was his explanation for
- 28:34Speaker 1: was essentially everyone, Yeah, my whole life was she said,
- 28:39Speaker 1: I'm going to hell blah blah blah blah blah, all
- 28:41Speaker 1: this clown shit were Really it was just like, this
- 28:42Speaker 1: is a good idea to make people talk, and it worked.
- 28:45Speaker 1: But again, again, I can isn't that a lot of
- 28:48Speaker 1: this shit? Though? Yeah, but isn't that a lot of
- 28:51Speaker 1: this shit? Agree one hundred percent? But then it got
- 28:53Speaker 1: to be good at the It got to be great
- 28:56Speaker 1: at the route, the great at the root to you?
- 28:58Speaker 1: Isn't it great at the route to maybe seventeen year
- 29:00Speaker 1: old kid who loves literally all love great records? But
- 29:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying is I think Little X has some
- 29:06Speaker 1: records that are I'm out here live what you mean? Damn?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Old Town Road is best recording? You know it? Oh?
- 29:13Speaker 1: For sure? But that's the problem. Like, but Holiday is
- 29:16Speaker 1: a dope record, Panini is a banger, Panini's a banger.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Decent that shit is a banger. Bangs, but it's not really.
- 29:23Speaker 1: But like what I'm saying is like out here little
- 29:25Speaker 1: X like Panini. I hear little X Ponini. I'm like, Oh,
- 29:28Speaker 1: this shit is tell It's ten records in bro We're talking.
- 29:30Speaker 1: It's Old Town Road is better than every song. Of course,
- 29:33Speaker 1: it's the big It's probably the biggest song in the
- 29:34Speaker 1: last twenty years. But you're missing the point of what
- 29:37Speaker 1: I'm saying. We've demanded greatness from everybody. We we we're
- 29:40Speaker 1: not allowed to say this about nobody else. And you're
- 29:43Speaker 1: saying greatness objective to what you think is great. Well,
- 29:45Speaker 1: that's the point, right, is my perspective, hundred percent right. So,
- 29:48Speaker 1: but what I don't want is my opinion to be
- 29:53Speaker 1: discounted about art or brand because you think I'm a
- 29:57Speaker 1: homophobe or you think I care that, which is not
- 29:59Speaker 1: the case. And that's what I'm dealing with, and that's
- 30:01Speaker 1: what I don't like. I don't care that the man
- 30:04Speaker 1: is gay. I don't give fuck how many if the
- 30:06Speaker 1: fucking shower scene where they was dancing naked was fire,
- 30:08Speaker 1: It'd be fucking fire. It just wasn't good, just fucking corny.
- 30:15Speaker 1: So let me ask you this. Do you think was
- 30:17Speaker 1: it single ladies? No? Of course not again. So I'm
- 30:23Speaker 1: so now I'm looking at him like, Okay, you went
- 30:24Speaker 1: through all this to show this fucking subpar routine. So
- 30:27Speaker 1: let me ask you this. I think that there is
- 30:30Speaker 1: a conversation to be had though. Don't you think a
- 30:32Speaker 1: lot of the hate that he gets is rooted in
- 30:35Speaker 1: some homophobia? Though sure I'm not talking about you, sure, sure, Sure,
- 30:38Speaker 1: some people are not. They cannot they cannot accept the
- 30:42Speaker 1: they don't understand the lifestyle enough, and it's confusing to
- 30:45Speaker 1: them because they have their own belief of how this
- 30:48Speaker 1: is happening. Right. I've had conversations with people that they
- 30:51Speaker 1: feel like, oh, you can't be boring. It's a thousand
- 30:53Speaker 1: things about people don't understand versus me, where I just
- 30:56Speaker 1: don't care. I just don't have a reason to get
- 30:59Speaker 1: You have an opinion on what he's doing and you
- 31:01Speaker 1: think is corny. Ain't got nothing to do with nothing else, bro,
- 31:04Speaker 1: I don't man. People could speak up for me and
- 31:08Speaker 1: I stop them when they try. I don't need nobody
- 31:10Speaker 1: to speak for me. I don't. I don't want you to.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Oh you know, geez my boy, and I don't say
- 31:14Speaker 1: shit five me. Fuck these motherfull They could think what
- 31:16Speaker 1: they want to think. His shit is corny. I told him,
- 31:19Speaker 1: your shit's corny. You are black, You owe some more soul.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Maybe you don't think so, but I am demanding it
- 31:25Speaker 1: as a fair. You went through all this to get
- 31:27Speaker 1: to my attention. You dancing on the devil's lap. Then
- 31:30Speaker 1: snap the man neck, you slide and look like a fairy.
- 31:33Speaker 1: You're doing all this shit you're doing for me to
- 31:35Speaker 1: see you because you want to show me all these
- 31:37Speaker 1: visions of masculinity that don't I'm not used to sing,
- 31:41Speaker 1: especially from black men. Right. You want to show me
- 31:43Speaker 1: this so you get my attention. You make the Satan shoes.
- 31:46Speaker 1: You already know black people are rooting in some level
- 31:48Speaker 1: of spirituality. We don't fuck with saying, but you do
- 31:50Speaker 1: it anyway, so you get my attention. Then you come back.
- 31:53Speaker 1: You got the shower sing, I've been to jail. Feel me.
- 31:56Speaker 1: You dancing with the dudes in the shower and the
- 31:58Speaker 1: subpart number that's just you should have actually had a
- 32:00Speaker 1: fire number at least so I could be pumped up
- 32:03Speaker 1: about it. Right, So you go through this to get
- 32:05Speaker 1: my attention, You get it, and then I give you
- 32:07Speaker 1: my opinion on your brand and your art, and you
- 32:10Speaker 1: try to wrap it up and say like, I'm a homophobe.
- 32:12Speaker 1: You asked me to look at it. I looked at it.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Here's what I'm telling you. That's what I think about it.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Now you could take it and say, oh, gee, you're
- 32:20Speaker 1: being a homophobe. You put whatever clown shit nigga El
- 32:24Speaker 1: John mops the floor, Sam Smith mobs the floor with
- 32:26Speaker 1: your slow ass. I don't disagree. So if you're not
- 32:29Speaker 1: trying to be that good, don't come fucking with my attention.
- 32:33Speaker 1: So let me ask you this. When you tweeted that
- 32:36Speaker 1: he's more a tool for white supremacy or a puppet
- 32:39Speaker 1: rather because it matters than LGBTQ, what do you mean
- 32:43Speaker 1: by that. He's a fucking entertainment piece for mainstream America
- 32:46Speaker 1: like puppets, He's the show. And when you say white supremacy, yeah,
- 32:50Speaker 1: because at the highest level of people looking right at
- 32:53Speaker 1: the white supremacy, this is the top level of this country, right,
- 32:56Speaker 1: who knows if people are embarrassed. Who knows of everything?
- 32:59Speaker 1: He's their entertainment piece. Feel me, like you said, he's
- 33:03Speaker 1: a one of one, right, and he know everybody that
- 33:06Speaker 1: look like me is shrinking down in their seats like
- 33:08Speaker 1: ah man, And it's not. Everybody is not just because
- 33:11Speaker 1: you gay. It's just your shit's corny sometimes again, man,
- 33:15Speaker 1: when you're black, it's not fair, right, it's not fair.
- 33:19Speaker 1: But there's things expected of you. And I'm not demanding
- 33:22Speaker 1: more than you than I wouldn't demand from Prince or
- 33:24Speaker 1: any other great artists. You feel me, You don't get
- 33:27Speaker 1: off because you gay, You don't get off because you
- 33:31Speaker 1: still expected. Well, guess what, nigga, you gotta carry two torches.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Don't make us look stupid, like you don't make them
- 33:36Speaker 1: people look stupid, feel me, So, I think he's doing
- 33:41Speaker 1: a bad job of making people look you know what
- 33:43Speaker 1: I mean, He's just doing it goofy like. You're not
- 33:46Speaker 1: really adding to the culture. You're not creating a trend
- 33:48Speaker 1: of things that's gonna happen. You gotta dig deep, bro,
- 33:52Speaker 1: you went through some real struggles. If you're a young
- 33:54Speaker 1: black gay man, you went through some real struggle for sure.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Can I get that? Of course? Can I stop getting
- 33:59Speaker 1: these generic records that are not like you're making bad versions.
- 34:02Speaker 1: He's making pop records. He's not making anything with substance
- 34:05Speaker 1: or depth to them. As far as like him talking
- 34:07Speaker 1: about like really tapping into the struggle. God, at least
- 34:11Speaker 1: be backstreets back is good. I mean that. I mean, look,
- 34:15Speaker 1: he got one, he got the Little The Hotown Road
- 34:18Speaker 1: is a fire. I mean, you know, but now, but
- 34:21Speaker 1: like damn, we like eight or nine and we'd had
- 34:23Speaker 1: about four that come on when I said I never
- 34:25Speaker 1: heard a whack Little Noza song, I never heard none
- 34:28Speaker 1: of I'm whack no no. He's too good to make
- 34:30Speaker 1: a wax song at this point. Now he's a good artist,
- 34:32Speaker 1: like he makes records. I'm not saying he's made anything
- 34:34Speaker 1: better than the Oldtown Road, but I'm like, yo, I'm
- 34:37Speaker 1: not I'm not riding around bumping Little Nozax at all.
- 34:40Speaker 1: But if I'm like, I'll check his video and I'll
- 34:42Speaker 1: be like, oh, yeah, I get it. You know, it's
- 34:43Speaker 1: a pop record, great writers, you know, whatever it is
- 34:46Speaker 1: it's but I don't think it's I think it could
- 34:49Speaker 1: be better, And you're right, it could be so everything
- 34:52Speaker 1: could be better, but so then we all should demand it.
- 34:56Speaker 1: He's not talented like Bruno Mars though, but I'm saying
- 35:00Speaker 1: Brun Mars an alien. Yeah have you seen that man live?
- 35:03Speaker 1: But again it's it's still like it's still pop like
- 35:06Speaker 1: it's now, I know it is. But Bruno Mars is
- 35:07Speaker 1: like one of the most talented artists that we've seen
- 35:09Speaker 1: in the last like fifty years. Like like like he's
- 35:12Speaker 1: I was I Love Lives Morris Day. His life shows
- 35:16Speaker 1: insane no more I'm talking about I'm talking about that level.
- 35:20Speaker 1: But I'm saying what makes his ship dope is he's
- 35:23Speaker 1: just not He don't look like me and he's doing that.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I think Bruno he's ill. Now, Bruno is an alien.
- 35:28Speaker 1: But but again put him in front of that now,
- 35:33Speaker 1: see that's what I'm talking about now, no disrespect, because
- 35:35Speaker 1: Bruno was fucking fired, and he got fired, he got
- 35:37Speaker 1: some of the best. See, I wouldn't say he's one
- 35:39Speaker 1: of the best fifty like artists of the fifty years.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I say some of the I wouldn't even say that.
- 35:44Speaker 1: I'd say he has some of the best records I've
- 35:46Speaker 1: heard in fifty years. He's one of the best performers
- 35:48Speaker 1: in the last fifty years. I haven't seen that, but
- 35:50Speaker 1: Tech nine is number one on that list for me.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I agree, but but I think he was nine peak
- 35:57Speaker 1: techno saw so right, Elton John Right, that's fire, that's fire,
- 36:05Speaker 1: that's uncharted, uncharted territory fire. I don't disagree fee me
- 36:10Speaker 1: Sam Smith, uncharted territory fight. I think Sam Smith is fire. Now,
- 36:18Speaker 1: with that being said, I probably would rather listen to
- 36:22Speaker 1: a Little X song than the Sam Smith songs. I
- 36:24Speaker 1: don't want to. I don't want to slice my wrists.
- 36:25Speaker 1: The only person, the only I listened to ever stay
- 36:29Speaker 1: with me more than everyone, stay with incredible record with me,
- 36:32Speaker 1: an incredible record. I give you that. Little is never
- 36:34Speaker 1: gonna make a record's gonna stay with me? Why not?
- 36:36Speaker 1: Because he's not that talented. That hints my point. Little
- 36:40Speaker 1: Sam Smith has a voice of an angel, a SoundCloud
- 36:43Speaker 1: rapper turned pop star. But then you gotta just with
- 36:46Speaker 1: great writers. But you gotta define it. You gotta define
- 36:49Speaker 1: it because we can't hold Little X, who literally is
- 36:52Speaker 1: a SoundCloud rapper, he's a pop star. Hold him started
- 36:56Speaker 1: as a SoundCloud rapper and he's evolved into a pop star.
- 37:00Speaker 1: But he was first record. His first record was a
- 37:03Speaker 1: pop He's not a great No, Little that shit was
- 37:05Speaker 1: a joke, but it's still a pop record. Okay, fair enough,
- 37:08Speaker 1: but it was a joke. So now you got to
- 37:10Speaker 1: compete with Bruno Mars. That's sold. Everyone gotta be town.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Hey how about this. Let me give you an example. Now,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I'm not saying that Eminem is culturally prevalent in the
- 37:21Speaker 1: last fifteen years, right, but can we agree that technically
- 37:24Speaker 1: Eminem is a top ten and ten would be short
- 37:28Speaker 1: sighting him. But if I were to say Eminem lyrically
- 37:32Speaker 1: skills as a rapper's top ten all time, you would
- 37:35Speaker 1: be like, yeah, of course, I meant of course, right,
- 37:39Speaker 1: top five five for sure? Yeah, use to one per
- 37:44Speaker 1: Right now, I'm not over here barking down on I
- 37:52Speaker 1: don't even want to say little Baby, because he's improved
- 37:55Speaker 1: so much as a rapper. I'm not barking down on Gunner.
- 38:03Speaker 1: If Gunner got a hot record in the club or
- 38:05Speaker 1: got a number one record at Urban, because he's not
- 38:10Speaker 1: as talented as someone like Eminem, not at the time.
- 38:14Speaker 1: They're not the same, But that's what I'm saying. They're not,
- 38:17Speaker 1: But they're not the same. But again, right, what makes
- 38:20Speaker 1: us all, even all of us right in hip hop,
- 38:24Speaker 1: or all of us in pop music, or all of
- 38:26Speaker 1: us in any of these genres the records. So again,
- 38:31Speaker 1: so you're saying record for record, that's all you have
- 38:34Speaker 1: to be. That's fair. You don't gotta be as talented.
- 38:36Speaker 1: But song like Hot by Young Thug and Gunner, Right,
- 38:41Speaker 1: he's like a record that makes sense in the club.
- 38:43Speaker 1: It's a cool record. It was number one at urban radio.
- 38:45Speaker 1: It's a cool record. But it's not fucking But I'm
- 38:49Speaker 1: only asking it's not the box, But I'm not asking
- 38:54Speaker 1: it to be the box, right, I'm asking it to
- 38:56Speaker 1: be ha it's not. It's not Ha'm I'm asked, but
- 39:00Speaker 1: it's not. But again, right, So that don't mean that
- 39:04Speaker 1: it ain't dope, But that don't mean that it ain't good.
- 39:06Speaker 1: That don't mean that it can't be in the same world.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Like I'm not getting Little Knazacs ain't gonna he can't
- 39:12Speaker 1: do what Sam Smith does. No, but he can make
- 39:15Speaker 1: records as great as Sam Smith. I mean maybe, yes,
- 39:18Speaker 1: I mean he has. I mean, look, I'm not as dope,
- 39:20Speaker 1: but I'm not as great as eminem right as technically
- 39:23Speaker 1: sound as Eminem, But that don't mean I can't make
- 39:25Speaker 1: a record as that ring with one of his records
- 39:27Speaker 1: as No, I don't disagree with you. It's about doing
- 39:30Speaker 1: the work. So at the end of the day, your
- 39:32Speaker 1: thoughts on Little knaz X are strictly rooted, and you're
- 39:36Speaker 1: not crazy about the records he's putting out, and you
- 39:39Speaker 1: think the execution is corny. Well, I think, yeah, I
- 39:41Speaker 1: think the records are decent. They're they're above average. They're
- 39:44Speaker 1: not you know what, They're above average. That's fair to
- 39:46Speaker 1: say compared to all the records today. But then again,
- 39:48Speaker 1: I'm also on a core competing against Magic Johnson, Like
- 39:51Speaker 1: I'm looking at all of our opportunities as modern day
- 39:54Speaker 1: artists to compete with the greatest records to ever come out.
- 39:57Speaker 1: So I look at it differently. You know, corny, he
- 40:01Speaker 1: knows it's corny, whether you admit it or not. As cool,
- 40:03Speaker 1: you don't got to see why you think it's corny.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I look at it as you know, when were like like,
- 40:09Speaker 1: you know, it's corny. No, I mean, but I also
- 40:11Speaker 1: you see sometimes you know, but I'll come from the
- 40:13Speaker 1: era of watching Eminem videos that were me too and
- 40:16Speaker 1: I say they was corny. Sometimes they were fucking corny.
- 40:18Speaker 1: And I'm saying, so when I look at that, it
- 40:20Speaker 1: kind of when I see Little nas X putting his
- 40:21Speaker 1: videos out, so some of corny, of course, oh my god,
- 40:25Speaker 1: oh my god, you stru Shay was corny as far.
- 40:28Speaker 1: So then why are you struggling and say Little nas
- 40:30Speaker 1: x content is corny. I'm not saying it's not. But
- 40:33Speaker 1: what I'm saying, say it if anything to say it,
- 40:36Speaker 1: I don't. To me, it's not so none of the
- 40:38Speaker 1: content is corny. But just when I see you know,
- 40:40Speaker 1: because when I watched the Devil video, I actually thought
- 40:42Speaker 1: that was fire. I'm saying, maybe prison Ship is it
- 40:46Speaker 1: corny or not? To me? For me, prison is not corny.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I didn't the corny as shit. I thought it was
- 40:53Speaker 1: refining and refreshed. No, I just thought it was this
- 40:55Speaker 1: is cool. This reminds me some t r L. It
- 40:57Speaker 1: was cool. I wasn't mad at it. To be honest,
- 41:01Speaker 1: you know, it's cornyn. I'm just being honest with you.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I think probably what's corny. It don't mean you're a
- 41:08Speaker 1: homophault because you think it's corny. I don't mean I'm
- 41:10Speaker 1: a racist. I'm not, and it don't mean I'm a
- 41:13Speaker 1: racist because I think some of Eminem is corny and
- 41:16Speaker 1: I'm not a sellout if I think early days you
- 41:18Speaker 1: peel sometimes corny. You want to know what the difference is? Sure?
- 41:21Speaker 1: And why I can't say it's corny because I expect
- 41:25Speaker 1: corny ship from Little noz X because he's a pop star.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Eminem was a pop star and the time he got
- 41:31Speaker 1: to the real pop. Yeah, but I was listening to
- 41:33Speaker 1: Eminem on soundbombing two Rockets record. You just said the
- 41:36Speaker 1: same thing. Little Naz started as a SoundCloud rapper. You
- 41:39Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Corny is Little's first record? Don't
- 41:43Speaker 1: you see something that she'd be like? But literally his
- 41:46Speaker 1: first record ever was corny as fuck. So this is
- 41:49Speaker 1: his bar. He's a corny guy. I'm like, I won't
- 41:53Speaker 1: say the record it is corny. The video could have
- 41:57Speaker 1: been corny, but not the record. The record was. I
- 41:58Speaker 1: mean it was horror in the it's corny, but but
- 42:02Speaker 1: but but it works because it was great. But he
- 42:05Speaker 1: set a corny bar from the rip and it's just
- 42:07Speaker 1: been consistent. No, that's who he is. That record is
- 42:09Speaker 1: not cool. I got the horses in the back. He
- 42:12Speaker 1: literally faked a great record. But no, but if you
- 42:17Speaker 1: executed correctly he did, then it's not corny. That's the thing.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Like right, Like Adam Sandler. Right is one of my
- 42:25Speaker 1: favorite you know what I mean? In Hollywood? Right, the
- 42:30Speaker 1: water boy treads the line, so you could tread the
- 42:33Speaker 1: line and sometime being you gotta hit it. But if
- 42:36Speaker 1: you go too far, it'll get caught. You know what
- 42:38Speaker 1: about Adam Sandler is the same way. But but listen,
- 42:41Speaker 1: but listen, I think Adam Sandler, I expect corny shit.
- 42:45Speaker 1: So when he does like the Zohan movie, which is
- 42:48Speaker 1: super corny, then you say it's corner. Appreciate So why
- 42:51Speaker 1: did you say? But again, me too? But I appreciate
- 42:54Speaker 1: little nosed Extra Ship because I expected to be corny.
- 42:57Speaker 1: You won't say it's corny. No, I just said I
- 42:59Speaker 1: expected to be corny. I literally corny? Is his whole
- 43:03Speaker 1: career is corny? Say? His whole career is corny? Getting
- 43:07Speaker 1: past everything? But the corny? Say that shower scene in
- 43:13Speaker 1: that video shower scene was corny? Do I think that
- 43:16Speaker 1: I'm being honest? Do I think the song was corny? Maybe? Yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 1: little corny liking, So what's corny besides his complete idea?
- 43:25Speaker 1: Just the songs called industry Baby, and like it's like, yeah, okay,
- 43:28Speaker 1: it's a low hanging fruit for Little noz X to
- 43:29Speaker 1: make a song about being the industry planned Okay, I
- 43:32Speaker 1: get it. And then the video is what I expect,
- 43:35Speaker 1: which is why it's not corny. Still corny, you gotta
- 43:38Speaker 1: be good? Did it listen as much as Adam Sandler
- 43:41Speaker 1: right can be corny? The water Boy is amazing and
- 43:44Speaker 1: it's not corny. I love The water Boy. Zoehn is
- 43:47Speaker 1: amazing because but no, sometimes you can go but sometimes
- 43:50Speaker 1: you can go to far. Corny don't necessarily mean it's
- 43:54Speaker 1: not good. I am not listening to Little noz X's music.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Obviously subject to listen to pop music me like brun
- 44:03Speaker 1: the gotta be elite level. I am not listening to
- 44:05Speaker 1: Little X in my car. Ever. I threw on his
- 44:09Speaker 1: EP when it dropped what was it called the Rodeo
- 44:11Speaker 1: EP right, just to just to listen to it. I
- 44:14Speaker 1: threw it was like five songs, all right, cool, you
- 44:16Speaker 1: have the record with Cardi B. That was cool, But
- 44:18Speaker 1: I am not riding around in my car pressing play
- 44:21Speaker 1: on middle X. Ever, what I can do as someone
- 44:25Speaker 1: who's appreciates entertainment, I could look and see what he's
- 44:28Speaker 1: doing and be like, oh, I get it now, it's
- 44:31Speaker 1: not for me. Why not, because it's just not I'm
- 44:34Speaker 1: also do you're not enjoy some pop music? Not most
- 44:38Speaker 1: of it? To be fair? Do you enjoy some? Do
- 44:41Speaker 1: you like Bruno Marris? I love Bruto Morris. That's pop, okay,
- 44:44Speaker 1: so some if that's some? Sure? Do you enjoy Sam Smith? No,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I'm not listening to it. I mean yeah, Elton John, Yeah,
- 44:51Speaker 1: of course I love so the best of the best
- 44:52Speaker 1: pop music. I love it John. Yeah. I mean I
- 44:54Speaker 1: mean yeah. I mean I liked like seventy shit, eighty shit,
- 44:56Speaker 1: I mean not even I'm not saying eighties pop music.
- 44:59Speaker 1: It's a lot of pop, but I'm not a big
- 45:01Speaker 1: eighties pop guy. I actually think eighties pop is corny
- 45:03Speaker 1: as fuck. But but that means you don't like I
- 45:05Speaker 1: don't like in scene. I never like Backstreet Boys, I
- 45:07Speaker 1: never like none of that. That's nineties. I know what
- 45:09Speaker 1: I'm saying. I never like any of that. Ships. So
- 45:12Speaker 1: people are like like Justin Bieber peaches right, good record,
- 45:15Speaker 1: That's that's an R and B record, right, Fire, great record? Now,
- 45:20Speaker 1: it's not corny though, No, no no, no, you're right, it's fire.
- 45:23Speaker 1: That's a beautifully written song. It's probably executed executed perfect. Again,
- 45:30Speaker 1: I'm not driving around in my car bumping Peaches. I
- 45:33Speaker 1: play pieces. Now, if Peaches comes on, you're not gonna
- 45:35Speaker 1: change it. I'm not gonna change it. But if that
- 45:38Speaker 1: industry baby song, which might change that, I might change it.
- 45:42Speaker 1: So I'm not so getting we're that's we're talking grand
- 45:44Speaker 1: a point, but we're green on the same thing. For
- 45:47Speaker 1: me to say it was bad, it's just not good.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Neither's Peaches. But you would not change because is a
- 45:52Speaker 1: better songs. That's what I'm saying. Peaches is a way better.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Peaches is better than what I'm saying a lot of songs.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I'll take Peaches more than I mean. That's a fucking
- 46:01Speaker 1: perfect song. Sure, I know you don't complain to me.
- 46:05Speaker 1: I love you know, like there's like records like that
- 46:07Speaker 1: I love to play, like in the club, like Essence
- 46:10Speaker 1: by whiz Kid. Fucking love it. Right, it's a great
- 46:13Speaker 1: fucking Justin Bieber. Just jump out the remix. Now, I'm
- 46:15Speaker 1: probably not driving around in my car listening to wiz
- 46:17Speaker 1: you'n I he came, of course, not so. All I'm
- 46:20Speaker 1: demanding is better record and better representation from Little Nax.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I'm not asking for much. I'm not saying, hey, don't
- 46:27Speaker 1: be gay. You're gay, bro. That's how it is. I
- 46:29Speaker 1: don't give a fuck. It's not my fucking business. But
- 46:32Speaker 1: when you when you get my mother fucking attention, you
- 46:35Speaker 1: go through all this shit for me to find out,
- 46:37Speaker 1: and I give you my opinion, deliver nigga, deliver my nigga.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Don't all I'm I'm not even talking about the song.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I'm talking about this bro. Go to the next level.
- 46:47Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. That's what's suspected you you you
- 46:51Speaker 1: nine ten records deep at this point. Let's get to
- 46:53Speaker 1: it now. What do you think? Do you think the
- 46:55Speaker 1: baby can do anything to patch up his current optics
- 47:02Speaker 1: with they'll be booking him at the festivals in the year.
- 47:05Speaker 1: In the year you think I'll be fine? Man? I
- 47:06Speaker 1: think he just jumps on a little Knazac song and
- 47:08Speaker 1: it's all good. He definitely shouldn't do that. You don't
- 47:10Speaker 1: think you should do that? No, Little Nazak's the baby
- 47:13Speaker 1: on the remix, Bro that the baby actually has this
- 47:16Speaker 1: authentic feel. Little naz X lacks authenticity. They can help
- 47:21Speaker 1: each other, Bro, Go to Elton John, get Elton John,
- 47:24Speaker 1: and go get Sam Smith to sing your hook. Don't
- 47:26Speaker 1: fuck with him. He's a fucking cornball. Make him dig
- 47:29Speaker 1: hisself out of corny. First, come back to the rest
- 47:32Speaker 1: of the You know the depth, nigga, your brother, come
- 47:34Speaker 1: back to the depth of it, fimy. Then we fucking
- 47:37Speaker 1: with it. But then, if you're going to do something
- 47:39Speaker 1: you worried about how the LGBTQ community sees you, go
- 47:42Speaker 1: get a big dog. Go Elton John, get Sam Smith,
- 47:45Speaker 1: Go sit down with Sam. Let him sing a beautiful
- 47:47Speaker 1: hook to the ladies or sing a beautiful hook to me.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Whoever is the fuck? Just sing a love hook and
- 47:53Speaker 1: you rap with Go to the best. Don't fuck with him.
- 47:56Speaker 1: He's a fucking cornball. You gotta get his ship together.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I man better. He can do it too. I heard
- 48:02Speaker 1: Old Town Road. There's something in there. He just gotta
- 48:04Speaker 1: let me ask you this too. So like on the
- 48:06Speaker 1: other side of the coin, there's guys like Boosy right,
- 48:08Speaker 1: who's one of my favorite dudes in the game. Every
- 48:10Speaker 1: time I talk to him, he's I know what I'm getting.
- 48:13Speaker 1: He's hilarious, but at the same time, he also comes
- 48:18Speaker 1: across the little homophobic. He has a genuine fear and
- 48:22Speaker 1: and and and obviously I don't think it's for him
- 48:26Speaker 1: at least because I'd like to think I've been around
- 48:28Speaker 1: him enough to know that he's not a hateful guy. Sure,
- 48:30Speaker 1: but I do think that there's like a big part
- 48:35Speaker 1: of hip hop in the industry where there's people behind
- 48:37Speaker 1: the scenes whatever that that that kind of share his
- 48:39Speaker 1: opinions about just the homosexuals in general. And I'm I'm
- 48:47Speaker 1: a believer that if you're gay, you're gonna be gay anyway,
- 48:54Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that, but I think there are some
- 48:57Speaker 1: people that are born gay. And I also think think
- 49:00Speaker 1: like if somebody like Little nos X being openly gay
- 49:06Speaker 1: as an African American man in this country, which, as
- 49:09Speaker 1: you said acknowledged earlier, probably one of the hardest things
- 49:12Speaker 1: to be in this world as a black man, let alone,
- 49:16Speaker 1: because then you're fucked in your own community on top
- 49:18Speaker 1: of being fucked in America. Right, So if Little nas
- 49:22Speaker 1: X standing on that openly and proudly helps inspire people
- 49:28Speaker 1: to be themselves more right to be more proud of
- 49:32Speaker 1: who they are, or to live their truths louder or
- 49:34Speaker 1: more proudly. Isn't that a good thing? I mean? But again, yes, right,
- 49:40Speaker 1: unless you believe that he's actually infiltrating people's minds to
- 49:43Speaker 1: turning them gay, which I don't think is in this case.
- 49:45Speaker 1: I had this, I've been having this dilemma in this conversation,
- 49:48Speaker 1: right because I used to feel the same way. I
- 49:49Speaker 1: do not think you could just play gay like it
- 49:52Speaker 1: is for some man to take penis. Bro is a
- 49:55Speaker 1: different kind of devotion. You have to be committed. It's
- 49:58Speaker 1: gonna be tough, even like Bruce Jenner I mean, or
- 50:01Speaker 1: Kaitlin whatever. Right, even then he's still not gay, no, right, right,
- 50:08Speaker 1: he's a lesbian. He became a lesbian, right right, So
- 50:12Speaker 1: I think it's a different commitment. So I felt the
- 50:14Speaker 1: same way you did. I felt like, you can't get
- 50:17Speaker 1: people to be gay. But that might not be true.
- 50:21Speaker 1: That could be wrong. It can be a lot more
- 50:23Speaker 1: influential than were We want to admit, we're in a
- 50:26Speaker 1: really weird place in society where social media is controlling
- 50:29Speaker 1: a lot of things and attention, but in general, all
- 50:33Speaker 1: of it is controlling. A lot. People are dying for attention,
- 50:37Speaker 1: like they're in a really weird space, So the things
- 50:40Speaker 1: people will do to get attention that could be a problem.
- 50:43Speaker 1: So that's why that I agree with you on that.
- 50:47Speaker 1: So again, like as much as I wanted to kind
- 50:51Speaker 1: of look at him like, bro, it is something to
- 50:54Speaker 1: be scared of. I think this right. I think people
- 50:57Speaker 1: will do things for attention more than ever. But at
- 51:01Speaker 1: the same time, like you said, to be a gay
- 51:04Speaker 1: person as a big commitment, right, So I think if
- 51:08Speaker 1: you were going to you know, be attracted to men
- 51:11Speaker 1: and being romantic relationships for men, mom, man. But what
- 51:17Speaker 1: I'm saying is now personally, I think you just really
- 51:21Speaker 1: have to be committed. That's a lot, you know. So
- 51:23Speaker 1: what I'm saying is is like those people were gonna
- 51:25Speaker 1: probably feel that way inside anyway. Maybe they were gonna
- 51:28Speaker 1: get married to a woman that they hated or that
- 51:30Speaker 1: they secretly you know what I'm saying, Like, I think
- 51:32Speaker 1: they don't know if that's necessarily true. I think we
- 51:34Speaker 1: all I think both sides at that point, we would
- 51:37Speaker 1: all be speaking from ignorant places. But we also can't
- 51:40Speaker 1: deny the control and influence I think there's a there's
- 51:43Speaker 1: a there's definitely a such thing as saying that there's
- 51:45Speaker 1: an attention thing going on, which is where I like,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I think like you and I'm not. And again I'm
- 51:49Speaker 1: not accusing any you know, homosexual part. I genuinely think
- 51:53Speaker 1: this is what's going on, but I can't ignore right now.
- 51:57Speaker 1: We're in one of the most scariest times of society
- 52:01Speaker 1: where everybody is following you know what I mean for intention,
- 52:04Speaker 1: because everything about our life is built on what is
- 52:07Speaker 1: it called, uh, societal acceptance or societal uh, you know whatever,
- 52:12Speaker 1: that is the wealth of it. I think the way
- 52:14Speaker 1: I look at it right when like Boozie says some
- 52:16Speaker 1: shit to me, it kind of makes me cringe because
- 52:18Speaker 1: I'm like, man, like, the only way you're really scared
- 52:20Speaker 1: of this is if you truly believe little Isaac can
- 52:23Speaker 1: turn a child gay. He and I think genuinely they
- 52:26Speaker 1: believe that, and I think genuinely Boozy thinks that that's
- 52:28Speaker 1: the genuinely want for sure because he definitely believe thats
- 52:32Speaker 1: and I didn't. But now I'm stind of like, Okay,
- 52:34Speaker 1: I see what you're saying, because you could turn the
- 52:36Speaker 1: child into a gangster. You could turn the child into
- 52:39Speaker 1: turn the child. You can turn a child into a racist.
- 52:42Speaker 1: That's true. So again, it's all a lifestyle change. It's
- 52:45Speaker 1: all a lifestyle thing. I don't know. I think it's
- 52:48Speaker 1: about like what you're attracted to. I think it's kind
- 52:51Speaker 1: of built into you. I guess I would like to
- 52:53Speaker 1: believe that, but man, that might not be true. I
- 52:58Speaker 1: would like to believe that's true. But again, this is
- 53:00Speaker 1: one of them conversation. Society wanted me to be attracted
- 53:03Speaker 1: to white women. In my entire life, I've not fucked
- 53:06Speaker 1: with any white women because they just don't do it
- 53:08Speaker 1: for me. That's racist, though, No it's not. I'm I'm
- 53:11Speaker 1: just being honest with you. As a childhood, I grew
- 53:14Speaker 1: up watching what was on TV Baywatch? Well, who was
- 53:16Speaker 1: on Sports Illustrated covers? Fucking uh? What was it? Bit
- 53:20Speaker 1: his name? So you've never seen a white lady you
- 53:22Speaker 1: want the mail? I mean, I can like see a
- 53:24Speaker 1: white chicken, be like, yeah, she's cute, you know, but like,
- 53:26Speaker 1: are you not for me a white lady you thought
- 53:29Speaker 1: was absolutely gorgeous? Of course, so then what are we
- 53:31Speaker 1: talking about? Is there not men in this world that
- 53:34Speaker 1: you can be like, that's a good looking dude. Never
- 53:35Speaker 1: you've never seen a guy and been like, yo, he's
- 53:37Speaker 1: a good looking guy. Never never, never been attracted to
- 53:40Speaker 1: a guy. I didn't say attracted to, I said can
- 53:42Speaker 1: you have not ever been attracted to a white woman.
- 53:45Speaker 1: You've never been attract to a white woman. When I
- 53:47Speaker 1: was a little kid, I think Pamela Anderson was hot.
- 53:50Speaker 1: But then I Megan Good is not hot. It's not
- 53:54Speaker 1: for me. That is crazy, Megan Good, Megan making Fox,
- 54:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, making Fox. No, her thumbs kill me. She's
- 54:03Speaker 1: got short thumbs. Plus, that's that's Mgk's that's mgk's girl.
- 54:06Speaker 1: That's my dog. So but no, nothing shit, he know
- 54:09Speaker 1: he little Fox. I can acknowledge she's a beautiful woman,
- 54:12Speaker 1: but it's not for me. Yeah. See that's the point, right,
- 54:16Speaker 1: somebody probably wouldn't believe you. Somebody. Once I discovered j
- 54:19Speaker 1: Lo as a child, it was over. It was just
- 54:22Speaker 1: like Latina's and then and then Tyra Banks, and I
- 54:26Speaker 1: was like, oh this is different. I don't want to
- 54:27Speaker 1: fuck nobody who looks like they could be related to me,
- 54:33Speaker 1: you know, like you know you, I mean, I've never
- 54:35Speaker 1: heard that, but this is definitely special. But again, right,
- 54:38Speaker 1: so I can acknowledge a white chick looks like, yeah, yeah,
- 54:41Speaker 1: she's beautiful, but if you don't want to nail her,
- 54:43Speaker 1: if you're not attracted to it, I mean, listen, what
- 54:47Speaker 1: I'm saying is I should be in the white girls.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Not really, you don't have to be. All I'm saying
- 54:57Speaker 1: is right maybe Okay, so I can see the comp
- 55:02Speaker 1: but again, I don't know if I can just one
- 55:05Speaker 1: time I was certain of it, but kind of thinking,
- 55:08Speaker 1: I'm not sure. It could be a little bit more influential.
- 55:10Speaker 1: So I say, all the gay people I know with
- 55:13Speaker 1: and this is people who are actually gay actually suck
- 55:16Speaker 1: dick and get their dick sucked by you know, God
- 55:20Speaker 1: bless them. Friends of mine say that this is something
- 55:24Speaker 1: that they knew as soon as they were conscious of attraction,
- 55:28Speaker 1: and that this is like this. I know. The homies
- 55:30Speaker 1: told me the same thing that I know. So so
- 55:33Speaker 1: based on what gay people say, but I've heard other
- 55:35Speaker 1: gay people say different. I've heard other gay people talk
- 55:37Speaker 1: about things that have happened to them. You might get
- 55:41Speaker 1: molested as children. I mean, I mean that the said
- 55:44Speaker 1: fuck them up. Maybe and again, but I do know.
- 55:48Speaker 1: But again, we are coming into uncharted territories in society.
- 55:52Speaker 1: At this point. We're influenced and social wealth I mean
- 55:57Speaker 1: social uh uh social this is a specific word. But
- 56:01Speaker 1: now they're at all time high. I think there's the
- 56:03Speaker 1: all times. How about right now it's rappers wearing dresses. Yeah,
- 56:08Speaker 1: that was like ten years ago. Yeah, but uh, I
- 56:14Speaker 1: mean Andre did that, That's what I'm saying. So so
- 56:17Speaker 1: now we're he wore killed that's not fair. Yeah, but
- 56:19Speaker 1: Andre also just fashionedly, was just super forward, but people
- 56:22Speaker 1: clowned it back. But a kilt still is okay. Young
- 56:25Speaker 1: thug woarre dress on the cover of an album and
- 56:27Speaker 1: a guy wore a wedding dress in a video. Yep. Right,
- 56:31Speaker 1: So again we're doing things for attention. How about this
- 56:35Speaker 1: Dennis Rodman wore dress right married himself. Yes, we're doing
- 56:39Speaker 1: so do we think that that made other people gay? Well,
- 56:42Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't think that's the I don't
- 56:43Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think he inspired people to be
- 56:45Speaker 1: to wear dresses. Yes, I mean maybe, yeah, I think
- 56:48Speaker 1: people buried themselves us. How about this though, do you
- 56:50Speaker 1: think that young thug wearing a dress? If anything? First
- 56:55Speaker 1: of all, people refer to their homies as my love.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Do people refer to themselves as having dicks out the gun? Yes,
- 57:02Speaker 1: he's an influential figure. He's a very talented, gifted Yeah,
- 57:05Speaker 1: but I don't think he's influencing anyone to suck cock
- 57:08Speaker 1: because he's not necessarily on records sucking cock. If he's sucking,
- 57:11Speaker 1: do you think Little X is influencing people to suck dick?
- 57:14Speaker 1: I don't know. He never influenced me, That's what I
- 57:18Speaker 1: can tell you. But again, you're asking me, right, I
- 57:21Speaker 1: don't think that. I think if my kids saw me.
- 57:24Speaker 1: But it's not crazy for Bootsy to think kids could
- 57:26Speaker 1: want to follow success and wealth, and they may think
- 57:29Speaker 1: success and wealth could come with sucking dick. If they're
- 57:32Speaker 1: looking at Little nas X. It might sound ask nine
- 57:36Speaker 1: and thought of it. But we are in a difference.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I watched somebody the other day kill somebody of a
- 57:39Speaker 1: pair of shoes in a raffle, that insane sixteen year
- 57:43Speaker 1: old kid. You're missing what the sixteen year old kid
- 57:45Speaker 1: is who killed the guy, But you're missing the point
- 57:47Speaker 1: of what where we at? So to keep ignoring we're
- 57:50Speaker 1: in different spaces. Feel me and and and you gotta
- 57:54Speaker 1: be careful. What you're saying is that we're in uncharted
- 57:58Speaker 1: territory as far as social media being so privalent, and
- 58:02Speaker 1: I might be fair, I think too. Like now, it's
- 58:06Speaker 1: also almost like you know where there's so much opinion
- 58:13Speaker 1: and shit all around everybody. Right, you open your phone,
- 58:18Speaker 1: you just scrolling on TikTok, whatever the algorithm feeds you,
- 58:21Speaker 1: it's gonna make you feel some type of way. You
- 58:23Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. You know, I got my niece
- 58:26Speaker 1: is she just came out as non binary. She's fourteen
- 58:29Speaker 1: years old. I don't even know what that is. I
- 58:31Speaker 1: know what it is, but I was like, that, shit,
- 58:33Speaker 1: it's crazy, right, I don't want you to identify me
- 58:36Speaker 1: as easy anything. So do they them thing is another
- 58:38Speaker 1: thing that's like, you know, I had a conversation with
- 58:41Speaker 1: my boy rams about this recently and he was like,
- 58:44Speaker 1: and I was to the point where I was like, look,
- 58:47Speaker 1: I'm so down if you're if you're born a male,
- 58:50Speaker 1: and you're like I I decided I want to be
- 58:53Speaker 1: a female, So call me she all right? Cool? That
- 58:57Speaker 1: they them thing just breaks my brain a little because
- 59:00Speaker 1: because it sounds like I'm talking to multiple people language
- 59:03Speaker 1: the irony is right. I'm a transphot right and people
- 59:06Speaker 1: get upset and I'm like, bro, I'm just telling you
- 59:08Speaker 1: the truth. I have a genuine fear of trans people.
- 59:10Speaker 1: It's confusing to me and it blows my mind. And
- 59:13Speaker 1: they never go to the complete other side enough to
- 59:16Speaker 1: where even the ones that go all the way over
- 59:18Speaker 1: is just like, that's a lot for me. You mean
- 59:21Speaker 1: for my brain something that doesn't it's just confusing. I'm confused.
- 59:26Speaker 1: So you're you're openly saying you're transphobia. Yes, I've said
- 59:30Speaker 1: this multiple times and people get mad at me. Don't
- 59:32Speaker 1: get mad at me because I'm scared the fuck you
- 59:34Speaker 1: want me to do? I see that shit. I don't
- 59:36Speaker 1: had any conversations with any transfer No, And that's what
- 59:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to set up on my podcast because I'm
- 59:40Speaker 1: trying to have a better understanding. I don't think they're
- 59:43Speaker 1: gonna kill me. It's just a scary thought. The confusion worries.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Do you think being confused and being scared of separate
- 59:49Speaker 1: or the kind of the same, because scared is like
- 59:52Speaker 1: or you know, when we hear the word transpher fear
- 59:54Speaker 1: means danger, right, so that the danger would be right
- 59:58Speaker 1: if if for most black men, you would be worried
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: that you're gonna run into a woman that was a man,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: right that before previously right you could have had the
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Johnson sliced off, could have got the breast, all the
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: female hormones. But you still don't want that to happen
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: to you. That's a big thing. I wouldn't want that
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to happen to me. That would bother me. So you
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: want to have an open conversation with someone who's from
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: the trans community to understand, because I do think that
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: there are people who genuinely decide, like I'm not this
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: and in order for me to be happy and fulfilled,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I have to live my life this way. And I
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: respect that concept completely and all of those other concepts. Right.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: The problem is when you start trying to change what
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I see. That's my problem. So I think that that see,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: that's what I don't like, That's what I think. I
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: think that, like, you're at least open enough to where
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: you can say, I truly am confused about what this
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: is and have a genuine fear, and I genuinely would
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: like to sit down and have a dialogue with someone
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: who is from that community, because I would like to
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: understand it more. And I think that that is where
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: what you're saying is different than probably a lot of
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: the hate and bigotry and negativity that someone who is
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: in the trans community, or someone who did grow up
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: as like maybe a trans seventeen or eighteen year old,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: they experience that word transphobic in a different way. That
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: probably means violent hatred, you know, their health being at risk,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: you know discrimination. You're saying it in terms of hey, look, really,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: this is a language thing. It means you know, like
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you said danger fear right, and I wouldn't say that
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: you probably fear for your life, no, but you don't
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: understand it. Sure, And so your I think with yours,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: because I don't want people to be like glasses WANs.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: They can say that I'm okay with being who I
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: am and honest about who I am. But but but
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the difference is is like with that word comes and
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: whether or not we like to say this is what
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: it says in the dictionary, what that word comes, a
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: lot of other stuff attached to it. I don't think.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I don't think you're a bigot, not that I would
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: never hell no, And I don't think you're a hateful person.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Of course, I hate some people, and I think you're
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: a hateful person. Though I don't think you're I don't
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: think you're in your your your first nature is not
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: being a hateful guy. No, But but I don't think
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I don't think that's even the worst racist concepts. I
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: think it's all rooted in ignorance. Right, We're all ignorance,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. If you're scared, if you if
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: you're a ragnophobic, right, or you have a ragnophobia, right,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: you're scared of spiders, it's because you don't understand. You
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: may think all spiders are venomous, you may think they
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: could bite you, you may think all of that. But
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: if you obviously right, if you informed yourself, or if
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: you were educated, it would bring some level of I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: also don't want to compare spiders to trans people, because
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: trans people aren't poisonous. They're just spiders. A lot of
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: spiders are, not even a lot, and the majority aren't.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: But ceee, I you just did that. See how just
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: see that's the thing with human but nobody trans is poisonous.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: But again, if let's say, if it's a man who
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: was a woman, like a man right who became a
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: woman that's going out of her way because there is
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: some sleeping with guys who she doesn't disclose that she
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: is and she know that could crush them. That is dangerous.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Now I'm not saying it's dangerous, but I'm saying I
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: don't disagree with you. But I'm saying that's not all
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: of their agenda. It's just like with spiders. Their agenda
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: is not to poison everybody. So the point that you
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: would like to try to understand and sitting down with
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: someone would be some of the I guess the concept
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: of like why why you're deciding to live your life
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: this way? What is it? Well? I think I get
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: it right. The idea of it makes sense to me. Right, Okay,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: if you really feel like even though I could never relate,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I have no idea. But if you felt you are
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: a woman your whole life and you were a man
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and you felt that way, I don't think I want
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: to understand how did you feel that way? I don't
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: think that's the point, which part of it is confusing
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: to you. That baffles you no once it happens the
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: fact that you want me to see you different that's
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: the thing that fucks me up. So let me ask
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: you this. Right, if someone says to you, and I'm
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: not saying, cook on the couch over there, all of
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: a sudden says hey, I'm a woman, call me she,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: or I'm gonna cancele you. Right, But let's say you
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: meet someone who's let's say you grew up around somebody,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: you ain't seen him in ten years, and you see
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: them and they've transitioned to a woman. I'm not thinking
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: that this has happened, so that obviously hasn't happened. Now
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you know that person as however, you know that person, right,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: But if they tell you, hey, look glasses, it will
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: make me feel much better. It makes me if you
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: if you refer to me as this, if you refer
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: to me as he, or you refer to me as
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: my old name, it hurts. It fucks me up. And
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: obviously we can't tell anybody how to feel right, is
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: paying Isn't that a minor inconvenience for you to make
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: someone feel alright? And I'm not saying that your job
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: to make anyone feel alright? Well, that's the thing, right,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I would do whatsever convenient I wouldn't ever, just because
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: as much as I'm a transfer right which I wouldn't go.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I wouldn't walk up to Bruce to Kaitlin. Rather, I
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: wouldn't call that like I wouldn't. I'm not going out
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: of my way back. Oh, your mom named you Bruce,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna name you just I'm not fear me. I
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: just wouldn't even fuck with that person. Now, if it's
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: one of my best friends, I'm ana call him whatever
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: he asking me to call him at or she's ever
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: asking me to call him at that point. But I
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: would be uncomfortable. Why I'm uncomfortable is I don't quite know.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm being honest with you. I have
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: no idea why. It's almost crazy because I'm my fears
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: is usually I could you know see why, But you
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: know this one is weird. I'm not a homophobe at all.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: So when people call I laugh, I think it's I
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: think it's dope to just hear you say that like
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: you're open to having Hey, look, this is how I feel.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: But I want to have a conversation with somebody in
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: the community because but that's what my podcast is all
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: about for me. I don't like to live in ignorance.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: It bothers me. I hate being afraid of that shit.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I hate being afraid of anything. I love conquering my fears.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I think what we also have to understand and what
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: it's been harder for me to understand it recently, really
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: till I had a conversation recently with one of my
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: best friends. Is not everything it has to make sense
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: that makes sense. No, that doesn't make sense because of
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: when you start, when you start trying to make everything
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: make sense, and it's not a plight or something that
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: you can identify with, and it just don't make sense
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: to you. Some ship just don't gotta make sense. But
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I think, see, and that's where I think as a
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: thinking man, right, That's why I'm used to the world
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: making sense. So when sometimes things happen that don't make
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: sense right or or out of my realm of understanding, right,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I shy away. That makes sense. I mean that makes sense.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: And and but it also now I get some people
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: get angry and get you know, big You're like, yo,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I'm just shy away. But I'm willing to have a
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: conversation to help and and and pursuing the idea right
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: and pursuing the idea. The character Uncle Clifford. I don't
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: know if that would be you know, if Uncle Clifford's character,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: because I think the character is a man, but I
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: don't know if that's referred to as a trance or
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: a cross. So I don't know the property. I don't
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: even know what that is. So Uncle Clifford is a
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: character from p Valley. He owns a strip club, right, Oh,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I heard about it. It's it's it's it's Mississippi based.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: This is black strip club. I heard about it. Yeah,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: it's fire, it's fire. But this character is one of
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: the best layered characters right for that community. See, that's
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: a great character written for that community. That character is
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: fucking excellently written. And that's what I'm asking, And that's
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: what human beings need, you know. I mean, like, like, Okay,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: it's cool to have something that plany the stereotypes, but
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: then give something that people can really understand what and
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: be empathetic towards just because you exist. See, naturally, the
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: act of being a human being, right is to be empathetic,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: being humane. But it don't come with every model that
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: that's born on this earth. So you have to give
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: them figures and characters. That's why I don't mind them
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: implicating you know, things and and adult films about, you know,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: because it'll make you like, like I said, Uncle Clifford,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: like that shit helped me a lot. Like I'm like,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: damn that motherfucker cool. I fuck with that. I need
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to have a conversation with that motherfucker. He might actually
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: be this char What if you think, like I mean,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: even think about Omar Little in the Wire. I never
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: watched The Wire. Oh that's another comment. I never watched it.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: But but but this character is written so well. Yeah,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: this character's written so well that you know what I mean.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: That's that's the point I'm saying. I think, I think
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: we can use entertainment and a lot of things to
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: our advantage, but we have to be careful with how
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: we do it. You know, we just can't throw anything out,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. That's the problem. So I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: respect everybody being you know, mindful of what they're doing,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: especially in some of these places that make a lot
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: of people uncomfortable. You know, just shows ship at people
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: because you right to exist. It's like, you know what
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I mean, Like it's just tough. That's not the wisest
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: way to do it. If I met a racist white family,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I'm not gonna just walk in the house and watermelon
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: chicken to be the nigga they want me to be.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I'm a walking house and be who I am. See,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: that's and that's what I was saying specifically about any thing. Right,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: It's one thing that had these big, stupid ass glasses on.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: It's another thing if I walk in this motherfuck with
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: all these stupid ass blue mandanna's around my neck, riz
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: elbow over exaggerating, I'm a crypt You know this is crip.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: There are things I could do, subtle things I could
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: do that you will know this script. Maybe I get
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: it in the side of my head. You know, these
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: glasses over the top all the time becomes corny and clowny. Right,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: So but I digress, you know what I'm saying. That's
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: the thing, you know, being honest with who you are, Like,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not gonna fight no fucking trans person
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: because they trans Like what the fuck I look like,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: I'm not fighting nobody. I'm fucking you know. I mean,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: I'm not fighting nobody that ain't did something wrong to
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: me or deserve an ass kicking. Now. I mean, listen, man,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I think your honesty is great, and I think that
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: more people who feel the way you feel, because we
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: obviously know there's a lot of people who feel that way.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: And I don't think it's necessarily rooted in a place
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: of hate. It's rooted in a place of misunderstanding and
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: lack of you know, experience or education or whatever. It
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: is the fact that, like you're open to having those
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: conversations and sure, yeah, man, shit, I mean that shit
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: is big. I don't think I think it's normal for thinking. Man,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I need everybody else ain't got time to think. People
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: just really living their life on auto pilot. I'm a
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: thinking person. I like to think. I like to figure
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: it out. I like to be comfortable. It could be
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: a lack of exposure. Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean, look at the end of the day, right,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: there's kids that are being raised in communities that are
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: probably fully white. Right, but that's been my point forever,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: that have no idea about black experience. That doesn't make
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: them racist, no, not at all. It makes the ignorant probably, yeah,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: But but that think about this, think about this, right,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: But that's why I say I feel the same way
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: about the word racism. It's thrown around entirely too much.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Everything to describe everything is racist. It's like just like
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: everything that's thrown around is a homophobic transphobia. Bro, you
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: got to use that word much better, Like every community
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: needs to use these words much better because to mislabel people,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: it's actually just kind of promoting the same hate you
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: you're going against. Well, like, think about this. I grew
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: up in Phoenix around I mean, my immediate friend group
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: was African American and Mexican, right, But that was really
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: the two minorities in my life that I was raised around.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: So I never really experienced a lot of culture outside
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: of Black culture, Mexican culture, you know, my parents, you
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. But like, we went to New
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: York earlier this year and we're in a part of
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Brooklyn where it was a Hasidic jew community, and that's
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: something I never experienced. So I was like, truly, is
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: that like is that like out here like city with
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: with the hats and so that's that's like out there
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Miracle Mount probably, yes. So so the homie we were
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: with was like yeah, they got their own police force.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: They don't on certain days, they don't touch a phone,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: they don't touch a buttons like it's you know, and
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: they they're like, yo, they got their own ambulances. You
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: could be on their street and get stabbed and be
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: bleeding to death and their ambulance will pick you up.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: And it was just telling me like a rundown of
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: like the Hasidic jew culture and shit, and I was enamored.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: I was like so intrigued because this is something I
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: never even knew was a thing. Like we're in New
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: York and I'm like, this shit is ill. Should I've
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: been to New York and they was Spanish towns that
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: was racist. But you know what I'm saying, Like, what
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I'm saying is like just in general, like like you
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: were saying earlier, like yo, you can't. Lack of exposure
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: was the word you use, right, So in the same
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: way that we probably know that there's kids being raised
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: in white towns who don't know any black people. That's
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: just there. You know, they might have to go to college.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: They might have to, you know, if they're blessing enough, Yeah,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: go live their life, because some of them kids will
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: never get out of that fucking podunk town. Man, I
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: didn't been on tour with Tech nine and been to towns.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: You could tell a dude told me I was a
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: third black person you ever met, which is crazy. You're
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: thinking in the two thousands, that's just a crazy concept.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: But again, it's one of those things where I don't
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: waste my time. I'm trying to figure out. You know,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: I'm not trying to change the one. I'm figuring out
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: how to master myself and help as many people. That's
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: a beautiful thing. Hey, interrupting the interview to tell you
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: about our good friends at odd Socks. Now, as you
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: can see, I always have my odd socks on. Baby.

- 1:14:33Speaker 1: you can get your odd socks underwear. The boxer briefs
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: are the best underwear that you could ever fit on

- 1:15:00Speaker 1: You mentioned the crypt thing, and I wanted to talk
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: to you about this because I know that you're one
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: of the more highly respected guys I've ever come across.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Whenever I say, oh yeah, I know Jim alone, people
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying, You're from all walks
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: of life. If this, if it was possible to be
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: respected in this coach, the gangster ship, and also like
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: this fucking guy. And you've done, you've done gathering at
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: the Juggalos and all that shit. Yeah you've been. I
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: mean you were signed a sub noise record for so yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: But I wanted to get your take on six '
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: nine and you know, recently Whack, because Whack on my
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: show said that he didn't feel like six ' nine
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: was a snitch. He said he felt like he was
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: a civilian who told the truth. He's not snitch. So
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I wanted to kind of get your take because I
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: know you and I have had a discussion about the
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: snitch shit, and it's essentially, you know, what do you
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: define as that? Okay, So the the flaw in wax
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: discussion with that is he's a civilian, right, So on
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: the West Coast, being a civilian means I guess in
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: theory you're not a part of a gang. You're not
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: a part of the army, the infantry, whatever. That is, right,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: based off of the real word. But everywhere else that's
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: a rooted in criminal Like snitching has nothing to do
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: with gangbanging. Snitching is rooted in being a criminal, you know,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: or mirtha and all these codes go back before crips
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: and bloods or any gangs of black culture existed in
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: this country. Not snitching is a thing in criminality like
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: there are No criminal will respect him, no criminal period
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: will respect him. And I just think Wax not a criminal.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Yet what he's saying is obviously not true. He knows
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: that boy is a rat. That boy is a rat.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: You know, he's a rat. It's only you're not a
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: rat if you're not a criminal. Like if I did
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: something to somebody that's not a criminal, that's what they're
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: supposed to do in foreign the police. If you do
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: something to a criminal, he's not supposed to We all
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: know this. So because wax argument is rooted in whether
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: or not six ' nine is a gang member. He
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: was a convicted pervert. He was a drug dealer before
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: you ever met the gang. So you're saying, I mean,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: and I don't disagree with you that the snitch stigma
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: or the snitch definition what makes someone the snitch is
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: not rooted in gang banging. It's not rooted in whether
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: or not you're a cripper of blood or whatever. It's
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: rooted in a criminal world. And he's a committed criminal.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: He's devoted to the lifestyle of being a criminal. He
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: just told it's nothing man. That spin is a good
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: spin for the average I'm saying the average fan out there,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean, It's a great span for them.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: But if you're really in the life, man, he's a
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: he's a rat. He know, he a rat. You think
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Whack Whack knows he's a rat. Yes, he got paid.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: You think Whack got paid? Oh, no way, got paid
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: to do the interview. Wa got paid. Whack is one
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: of the smartest motherfucker I met when it comes to
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: this music shit. I agree Whack is a brilliant guy.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Feel me he got paid. He he might have got
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: to a three checks. I wouldn't be surprised if it
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: come out he got a check because they talking about
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: promoting a fight. I wouldn't be surprised if Couz got
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: a check from you know, Spotify for doing the shit
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: with academics. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: check from Lucien and Elliott for promoting the artists and
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: trying to establish his brand. What got paid? It does
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: feel like now six ' nine, if he were to
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: like release music right now or try to get the
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: music popping again, it does feel like that the Whack
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: thing helped a lot as far as making it easier for,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: like you said, surface level consumers to swallow it, to
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: believe he has some level of credibility and he has none.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: He's a horrible human being. Do you think like six '
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: nine is one of Snitch nine is one of the
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: worst human beings? I've ever encountered like Hitler bad. He's horrible.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: He literally is manipulative, you know. He He's one of
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: the type of people that you don't want to be around.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: He's literally full of shit. He will do anything to
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: be to have attention, write anything, anything to have attention.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: And he's manipulative. He knows people aren't that bright, so
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: he's taking advantage of it. Cous might be like shaping himself.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: He's manipulating a Mexican community by so all, he's Mexican, bro.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: That dude is full of shit. He's a fucking rat.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: He's a rat because he didn't want to deal with
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: the crimes. He had other people do for him. He
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: paid him. It has nothing to do with gang. They
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: didn't do it for free. That's how much they didn't
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: respecting that they he charged them. If I call my
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: homeboy to do something, they gonna do it for me, period,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: and I wouldn't call him. He paid them. He was
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: a criminal before them, he'll be a criminal after them.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: Right now, he's a working informant. Like I'm looking at
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: the stuff twenty one savage and I'm doing talking about
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: fighting this man. What are y'all thinking? And this man
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: will get you put in prison right now, this ain't over.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: You don't just snitch one time all on the case
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: that big can get that little time. He's a permanent informant.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: He's going to tell for twenty or thirty years that
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: man is a rat. Whack no here rat. Everybody know
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: you're rep do you? I mean? Because I mean look,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: at the end of the day, I think Wack had
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: a conversation with him in which he held him as
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: accountable as we've seen someone hold him accountable. I don't
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: know if you watched the interview, I wouldn't there. They
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: be having clubhouses, I wouldn't be in a room listen.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I won't. I won't consumers comp I won't consumer's content.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: I won't do nothing. You know, I gave him a chance. Initially,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I fucked with him. I listened to his music. I
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: didn't appeared all that right, great records. But bro, once
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: you once, once you are a criminal, and you break
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: that code again. It's a sense of ethics. You have
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: no real ethics as a human being. Feel me like,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I'm just not fucking with you. You were fucking well,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: let me ask you this with Whack like obviously, like
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: you said, he's one of the more brilliant guys. I mean,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I got love for Whack. Whack's always been solid with me.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Do you think that he made a mistake by having
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: that conversation with six or nine? And at least I
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: don't think he's aligning himself with him in any capacity.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I think they obviously have an open line of communication.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I think Whack held him accountable in that interview at all,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: but essentially saying you're a snitch, even though he said
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: he know he's a damn like you know that music
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: is corny. He know he's a snitch. So my question
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: to you is, like, do you think Whack made a
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: mistake even having any sort of, you know, conversation with
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: that guy. It depends on what he values. I wouldn't
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: have no conversation with that motherfucker for no amount of money.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Whack might value something different, you know what I mean.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: It could be money. Maybe he never plans to be
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: on Crenshaw Boulevard another day in his life, you know,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Or he's not going or at the street races or
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: in some level of street activity. Maybe he's transitioning to
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: a business world. None of the niggas that I fuck
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: with on no street level would ever do it. Even
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: the ones that's in his business, they will never do that.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I don't give fuck what money, none of us fucking
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: with that rat period at all, feel me. So, did
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Whack make a mistake, that's up to him. He had
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: to value whatever he benefited from doing it. But he
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: knows that what he's saying is definitely you know, he
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: know he's a snitch. He didn't he know he he
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: know the boys a rat. He know he a rat.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: It's obviously he's a rat. He rat it in front
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: of everybody on paperwork. He's a rat. It's obvious he's
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: a rat. You know what I'm saying. So Whack would
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: probably be the person to ask if he made a mistake.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I don't think he should have did it. I think
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: Whack making great money, you know, But then I'm not
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: in the man pockets. I don't know what's important to him.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I don't I don't know. I mean, even knowing him,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: I never sat down to say, man, what's important to
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: you is, Let's say, wha truly does believe he's a civilian.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: It doesn't feel like you don't think, not one like
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: one seventeen percent. He does not believe he's none of that.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: It's not about that Whack. No, snitching has nothing to
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: do with games. Whack is as smart, if not smarter
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: than I am. He knows that why he's a snitch.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: But he also understands how to spend his story. He's
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: really good at marketing. He's really good at what he does.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: But he know that boy is a snitch. And because
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: he is representing power rule, because he is representing blood.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I don't think you should have did it at all
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: because it's a bad look for the culture. Feel me
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: completely in my mind, But Whack is one individual that
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: represents Whack when it's said and done. You know, as
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: much as we all want to hold each other accountable,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep being a representation for the streets and
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: all of the people that look to me. And I'll
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: never sit down with that rat. And if I'm in
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I'm like making them on the phone, hold up, I'm
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: blowing feel me. I'm nigga fuck all that shit. I'm not.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I'm getting away from you. Feel me or if we
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: got an issue, IM finna get cracking on you. It
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: ain't it ain't nothing personal, bro, you just a fucking
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: raggedy ass, evil ass, fucking satan ass bitch ass nigga
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: use a fucking I don't disagree with you on the
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: kid's character. I do think that what he kind of
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: did was expose a lot of hip hop to be
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: exactly that entertainment. When I'm not talking about with the
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: whack thing, I mean just in general, like when he
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: got out of jail and he, I mean he's seen it,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: ain't moving around rather nicely with no not I mean,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: I know, like like they overselling it. No, no, no,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: I know, so like he'd be with a lot of YouTube.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: I've heard. I've heard what you're talking about. I've heard that, right.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: But he's a really sinister kid. He's and he's not
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: a kid. He's a really sinister, evil last man. You
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. He's a really sinister, evil last man.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: He's really sinister. He's really evil. Nothing the body is cool, nothing,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: the bodym is good. Him dying would be the best
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: thing that happened to his daughter. That's how fucked up
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: over a motherfucker he is. Like, he's a horrible human being.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: His family would be better off without him. He's that
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: horrible like you don't meet y'all don't see it's it's
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: hidden behind all the bullshit and this rap shit, or
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: you know he's exposed, he's not. He's evil, like he's
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: a different level of sinister and he's a coward and
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: he's not willing to be held account. He's doing ship
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: where he know people can't get to him. He goes
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: places in the middle of times when he know people
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: that he's not walking up on people. And if he's
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: walking up on him now, it's because he has a
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: support of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. That's it. Nothing
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: about him is good. His daughter would be better off
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: without him, Like I hope you feel me. Eventually he
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: understands how fucked up of a fucking human being he is.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: He's a piece of shit, fucking rap and whack noses
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Whack knows whack know this. He not, he know, you know,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: they know, we all know. You've had a storied career
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: in terms of obviously your come up, some of the
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: labels you've been with, some of the tours you've been on. Uh,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: you know, I think I first had got hip to
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: you on one of the early Black Wall street mixtapes
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: sounds about right. I feel like that. Yeah, that's where
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: I started peace fold and then obviously you know, from there,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: you know, you end up with cash money. Cash money
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: is a place, and Birdman is a guy who seems
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: to be He's a legend, first of all, when it
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: comes to just his tree is crazy. Probably to go.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: When it comes to his tree, either tree or Dre's tree,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: you gotta go. Yeah, Dre and Russ and Stunner probably
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: got the trees of all trees. And so he's also
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: a guy who's had some sort of like you know,
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: polarized love hate thing going on the last ten years
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: or so. When it comes to like him, what's perceived
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: as him maybe doing artists wrong. So sign the shitty contracts,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: whatever the case is, right, how is your experience on
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: cash money great? It was, And I'm not saying it
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: like I have no fear of none of that, no
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: motherfucker right, But the dude was great to me. I
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: learned more shit than I ever knew about the business.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: I learned the time, man, Like, it was awesome to me. Now,
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: let me ask you this, because you you also correct
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong. Were you also who banging as well. Yeah,
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: same time Max Ten. So because I remember mac ten
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: had banger Ball, which is one of the most slept
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: on albums. Yeah, I like that that album's and he
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: was on Cash Money. Was that who kind of introduced
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: you into the cash ma? Ma ten? Did I feel
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: like mac ten? We don't give him enough flowers? Man?
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: You know, I agree? I agree because mac Ten I
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: feel like he's not as active. We don't see him
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: on like interviews like we see a lot of these
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: other out of itself. You see his lad interview. He
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: was like, yes, he wouldn't answer no question. He was like,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: was that what they said? Well, they said, y'all saw
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: the thirty seven people, That's what they said. I was like,
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: you knows what, you know what to do. But but
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: so your your time on Cash Money was solid, Like
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: what was amazing so far in your rap career? Right,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: because you've done records with everybody, what has been one
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: time where you can remember as like your fondest memory
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: as a fan of this shit while being in it,
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: while being in it where you almost were like, damn,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: look who I'm standing next to or damn, look who
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: I'm on the stage with it, or Damn. Look who
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: I'm on this record with, Like, what was that moment
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: for you? Just recently with Rafaeosa Dick. Wow, I know
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: that's crazy right through. So Scarface probably is my favorite rapper.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: So I take that back right, I'm not taking it back.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: It's three moments. I can't do one because now it's
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: been so long, it's been fifteen years. So it's three
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: specific times. The first time is when jay Z. I
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: was in jay Z's office at Depth jamming. He was
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: like talking about how dope I was and he wanted
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: to sign me, and he was like, Yo, you wanted
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: the best I ever heard do it from the West.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: That shit. I couldn't even talk during the whole meeting.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Like my nigga d one of my best friends, had
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: to talk for me because I had listened. I had
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: consumed that much hole. I mean to where I'm living
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: my life, ain't in drugs, to this nigging music. And
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: one day I'm sitting in his office and he telling
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: me how great I am. Like that shit fucked me up.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: That's tough, like you, I mean, that was like tough.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Not signing to him was tough. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: That was one of them, the second one of them
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: probably Okay, So then that's where the roth Felsa Dieke
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: comes in. I just did a record with him, probably
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: with the within a year ago, and you know, I
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: was talking to him Richie rich hooked me up with
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: him and he gave me my number and we was talking,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: chopping up. He's like, yeah, I know you is I
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: fuck with your ship? You tough? And and I sent
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: him a record and just how helpful he was he
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: was explaining certain things. That ship was like crazy, it's
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: ro it's my mom. You know, it's kind of like
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: one of my mom's favorite bands, Tony Tony Tone. I
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: grew up to this ship and this is I feel
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: a deep Like still Ray is my ship for R
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: and B for me. So that ship was like Cray.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Even now sometimes be like I got his number in
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: my phone, I'll be like, damn, I feel it's a deep.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: And the third one is not really me right, the
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: third one is and I don't think people really know.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: But it's when Jay Rock win went gold. Hmmm, right,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: why was that such a big deal? Because I know
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: where we came from. I know how much shit we
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: went through, and Jay Rock for people who don't know,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: like there was an entire generation in La hip hop
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: that was kind of shunned exactly, and and and he
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: was a part of it. You were a part of it,
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: and so many others were part of it. And because
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: forever the only only dude that really had any attention
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: or love was Game. Yeah, we doctor dre production. Honestly,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: it matters. The producer is the key, you know what
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: I'm saying. But Jay Rock Win, when I seen when
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: they had put out a press release that they went gold.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: So the first record that he you know, he had
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: the record that was the future and Kendrick right, that's
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: platinum right right. But then when Win happened and I
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: seen the press release go out, like it was like
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: a part of me that just felt like Wade came off,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: you know, like my shoulders and it had shit to
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: do with me. I mean, it was just like damn man,
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: like look what we had to go through to get here,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: Like it's it's fucking me up there later, you know
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: what I mean. Like, and like my nigga went through
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: a lot. Man. We don't even talk as much as
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: we used to. You know, we don't see each other
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: as much as we used to, but like that shit
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: meant so much to me, Like that ship was so important.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: I had to see that happen. You know, I think
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: about Pe and certain homies all the time. Problem Bishop,
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: you know, all the shit we went through just to
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: try to bring the West Coast together and to be shunned. Yeah,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: nip man, like that ship. It bothers me, but I
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: can't see him get his shit. You know, everybody finally
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: showing him love, and it's like y'all waited till this
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: man was gone. Now. I remember having interviews with Nipsey
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: were around the time where he was really not fucking
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: with the fact that Dre was not co signing all
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: these young We all went through that, yeah, I mean,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: and we knew how important. We just didn't know why.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: But we figured out why it was so important. But honestly, man,
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: that Jay Rock getting that gold plaque for when like that,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: for sure is the most thirst And I celebrated it
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: to myself. I mean, I wrote a song a verse
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: about it on somebody Else's feature and talked about how
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: hard it was for all of us and how it
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: finally happened for him. You know what I'm saying that
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: shit is like one of the greatest things. It's like
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: one of the greatest stories in hip hop that's not
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: told how much shit he went through. If y'all know
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: how much shit he went through, man, and how cold
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: it was for us, and how niggas shut us down
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: and shut us out, and you don't realize, like that
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: label was started on Jay Rock's back exactly. You know
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: what I'm saying. People don't understand the different Like there
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: was the he was on Warner Brothers and then that
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: they don't know how to handle nobody on the West Coast,
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So that didn't work out,
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: and then they tried to strange music then put them
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: on Toward with tech, you know what I mean. Like
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: there's so much and when it all came down, it
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: was right there. It was all sitting right there, and
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: so just the watch that happened was like, man, it
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: was special. Even every time I hear the commercial like
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: I just smiled and such a that's so soon it's
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: gonna lift forever. Yeah snks in movies and hear it
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: in Singsic Sports Center. I just smiled so big and
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: then nobody know what I'm thinking, but I'm like, man,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: thank god, yeah, feel me, thank God. What was your
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: most successful record, certified? Was it? What was your biggest
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: record as far as like, so Certified is somewhere close
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: to God, I would say that Good. I think that
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: Good is my greatest record. It may not be the
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: most that has soul right, but it's the one to
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: head exactly first beat and but it was the one
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: we built from the ground up, and to me, it
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: was the first time one of my records was celebrated
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: went with great club record. No, not the akond of Setter,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: for obviously, that's a fantast tomb Like you know, what
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: song I really loved was the one with the what
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: was the name of that that group that was on
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: the hook I Get money or I Get There, I
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: Get There? That was so dope, the cataracts I get.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: But the most important obviously is Tupac Must Die. That's
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: the one that's when I finally put my own brick
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: in hip hop and it had my name on it.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: For that, like the whole culture, they couldn't unify behind
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: me for no moment when it comes to music, I mean,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: and that became that moment where it's like, damn, I'm there.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. So now I feel like
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: i'm you know really that's why I got. I got
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: shipped to do still ship that make crack, I got
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: its own. I know you're sitting on I mean, you
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: haven't put out a ton of music. I'm just starting
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: putting out singles again. Just mean in terms of like
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: your output hasn't been crazy, but the song doesn't matter. Yeah,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: but it's gonna go up now. Me and you feel
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: the same way about one album, and that is Doggy Style.
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: I think Doggy Style is in my life, the most
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: important album ever. Definitely the greatest hip hop of all time.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: I put it around two or three, you know the
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: number one clearly, but Doggy Style like changed my life.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: That was What's funny is I wasn't even a fan
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: of Doggy Style like that. That's literally probably twelve years
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: old or thirteen years old, bro. I was five and
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: my grandma got that tape on accident in the mail.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: Remember it used to be able to go in the
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: magazine and remember that. So she had like fifteen tapes
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: delivered to her house and one of them was Doggy Style.
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: I don't know how I got in there. But my
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: grandma's old as fuck. She didn't fucking Snoop Dog That's
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: how I fuck got It's a fucking cartoon cover. She
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: don't know what it was, Snoop DOGG so she gave everybody.
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: So she gives me Doggy Style. And I had already
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: had like boys de men, some boys dement shit right
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: the dog you stay. I'm five, I'm in kindergarten, and
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: I'm at night in my bed with my little walkman.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: This is horrible pearing just what's funny? That's why I
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: had already learned the entire fucking album by heart. And
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: then my mom had heard me listening to it and
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: freaked out and took it, took the tape from me.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: So I already knew it, and then I and then
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: I found it and took it back, and yeah, what's
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: funny is I have no personal connection. I just love
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: that album. It is so I point the first time
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: I ever met Snoop, I'm like, bro, you changed my
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: life with Dog. You don't understand like you you know,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: keep turning me out as a five year old. I
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: have no personal connection to It's just such a person.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: I think it's a perfect album. And I think Snoop
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: Dogg is, like, you know, I feel like somehow he's
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: still underappreciate it. But he's the greatest hip hop artist ever.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: He's the greatest hip hop artist ever with the greatest
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: hip hop album ever. And again it's tough. It's in
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: your face. I mean, Snoop is, like I was just
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: telling my partner, and I say this a lot Snoopers
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: like McDonald's. Man, he came out, you feel me, big Matt.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: You know that he had to gangster rap like it's
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: fast food, like it's the Big Mags gangster rap. And
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: since then he's been able to deliver pimping and chicken nuggets,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. He been able to deliver
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: gospel albums and parfas and all kind of reggae ship
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: and all kind of shit and everything in the world.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: I think he's the I think I think he's the biggest.
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: You know, I think Snoop, I think when you say
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: he's the greatest, so I said the greatest, I understand
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: that because he's the biggest. He's like you said, he's
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: like McDonald's. Because nobody doesn't know who Snoop is. I
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: don't care how old you are. Exactly, my ninet year
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: old lady knows who Snoop Dogg is. Exactly. Nobody has
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: ever been there know him because he's a fucking rapper.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: They don't know him because he does this that that,
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: Oh the rapper Snoop. It's Snoop Man. And I've been
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: hearing a lot of slack about that, like people like
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: I don't have no personal I don't have no personal
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: connection to Doggie staff. That's not like I heard you
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: know who in mind the songs like okay cool, but
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: when I was coming into my own, For me, I'm
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: more of a baby dog food, you know what I mean,
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: or the shadiest one. I'm a baby at those product.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: I know you love the shadiest Yeah, like with a
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: whole other regards, but doggy style is what hip hop
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: is all about. Like when Cool hirking them through that
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: party on August eleventh, I think it's nineteen seventy three,
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean, And it was a party
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: that's Snoop Dogg's music. You came to the most cultural
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: phenomenon of a party ever with that project. Yeah, I
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: think Snoop has not only that album, but I just
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: think in terms of like figuring out, like everyone who
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: does music, their goal should be to figure out what's
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: Snoop figured out? And that's how to no matter what's
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: going on, Like Snoop don't need a record on the
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: radio to be relevant. Snoop is never not going to
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: be relevant never, And how do you do think about it?
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: I was at home on Peacock watching this motherfucker literally
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: throwing on. I'm not watching the Olympics. I've been watching
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: the Snoop talk about the Olympic. Snoop fuck was throwing
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: the javelin cuz and that bro, you got hit them.
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: He's not an Olympic. NBC jacket on talking about how
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: the horse was Kripwalker and he's, Cousin, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: He's cussing, you know, he's yes, you know he's talking
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: about the man. That horse is krip walking. I see
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: him on Channel eleven, cousin Christina Devine, Look Christina Cuz.
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: I was like, god, damn, that's really what Greaton has
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: looked like. This motherfucker is crazy. But again, man, when
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: you really step back and you look at that, like
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: I said, you go back to August eleven, nineteen seventy
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: there it's a party. Is Doctor Drake DJing Snoop on them?
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: I think the only artist I've seen that might have
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: a chance to be that big, like in thirty years
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: is maybe Drake. But I don't think Drake has the
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: personality or the chemistry the Snoop ass. Drake doesn't represent culture.
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: That's the problem. I mean, like Snoop is the phenomenon
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: because he's the centerpiece in the face of probably Black
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: America's greatest, maybe not as celebrated, but most famous culture.
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: Gang culture. Man, he is the face of it, right, crips,
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: and he was the face over here, was the face
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: of it during a time when the allure was at
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: an all time high. Well think about it, right you
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: you we talked about this the other day. Colors is
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: the initial exposure at the highest level. Right, you move forward,
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: you get Boys in the Hood, which is a film
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: about it that does seventy million right in ninety one,
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: and then here go these niggas, you know, doctor Dread Snoop.
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: It's like a they picked up Boys in the Hood
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: and just like, let's finish it off, and Snoop just
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: took it to a level. You know, Ice T Gangs
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: wrapping and Snoop just finished and he's the face. Drake's
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: situation is different because he's just a pop star. Drake
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: has always been a pop star. It's like Snoop didn't
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: start as a pop star. No, and even now as
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: much as a pop he's still not a pop star.
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: He's still not a pop still Snoop Dogg, He's still Snoop.
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: Like he ascends past some of these things. Like you said,
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: some shit don't make sense and Snoop, I like if
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: you were to say, like Snoop would be if we think,
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: you know, thirty years down the line that Snoop would
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: be hosting shows of Martha Stewart or hosting the Olympics,
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: you would just in nineteen ninety four, someone would have
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: told you that. You would have said, what if you'd
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: have told me he was going to be out of prison?
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: Goody was gonna go to fucking prison for murder? So again, man,
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: Snoop is just different, anomaly man, everything you know Sug.
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: You know, Shug doesn't get enough credit, Doctor Dre doesn't
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: get enough credit. You know, you still got probably the
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: greatest vision with sug Knight, who understood the vision for
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: what was going on, right, and you got the greatest people,
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: the greatest person probably at the time or period making
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: hip hop records, I mean, and they put together August eleventh,
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: nineteen seventy three, the greatest party the West Coast ever had.
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: This is the greatest party we ever offered the world.
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: Like you came to this party and Snoop is on
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: the mic and Warren g is on the couch. It's
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: the greatest party you've ever been to. You hear it.
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: They got the liquor, they got a special liquor that
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: they drag, and you drank gin and juice. You got
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: the lingo. It's the culture is there? Feel me? It's
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: the greatest party you could go to. It. No matter
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: what we think about hip hop, it's still rooted in
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: a party. Well, it's funny because you and I have
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: had an argument about You said, Drake's not hip hop, no, no,
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: no no, And I said, listen, Drake makes hip hop music.
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: And you said, well, Drake, there's no culture with Drake.
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: I think Drake makes rap records, okay. And I understand
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: the concept of and the reason I really kind of
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: didn't even care about this conversation no more is because
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: I never thought of it as a derogatory thing. Like
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: I never thought as a derogatory thing to classify things.
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: I don't Again, I'm back to the same point of
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: I don't care how you want me to look at you.
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: Let's talk about the classification of things so we have
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: some sense of things that we can share, versus we
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: creating the world where everybody could be anything they want.
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: I don't like that, right, Like, you know what I mean.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: I don't think that's wise. I think that's really ignorant.
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: And it's going to come into a place more. You're
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: gonna bread a lot of people wasting their time. It's
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of people already confused. We already
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: come into this world confused, and you're allowing me to
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: exist in the space of confusion, right, which means a
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: suicide rate is gonna go up. But with Drake specifically,
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: hip hop is culture. It's lingo, it's style, its cuisine,
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: it's fashion. Everything about it is the flavor. Feel me.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: The flavor. It's like you know what I mean, It's
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: like soulful, It's like like yes, like the concept of
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: fried Chicken initially could be soul for right. That don't
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: mean Kentucky Fried Chicken sell soul food. They got greens,
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: that don't mean they sell soul food. They got all
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: this stuff that don't mean they sell soul. Full rapp
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: was popularized by hip hop, but it is not exclusive.
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: Debbie Harry was rapping in the saying, Drake makes rap music,
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: but he's not hip hop. No, I think that he's
- 1:43:57Speaker 1: not a cultured rapper. He has no culture. He doesn't
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: represent any culture. Drake is a fantastic rapper who makes
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: fantastic rap songs that turn into pop songs. And he
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: could sing his fucking ass off the way he sings.
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: He can carry a note only the way he can.
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: He makes fantastic records. NonStop is one of my favorite
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: fucking records period, feel me. But again, to compare him
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: to somebody that's carrying the burden of culture on their back,
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: like a Jay Z or a Snoop, These dudes represent
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: entire rams of worlds of shit. I mean, ideas, all
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: of this. They represent it with the way they talk,
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: the way they speak, everything about what they're doing there,
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: they're walking with more. Drake is a I mean, and
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: I don't want to simplify his life because I'm sure
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: he had his own struggles. But this is a kid
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: that come from Nickelodeon. That's a rapper, what you know.
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: I mean, it's just a different plight. This nigga came
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: from a Doe spot. This nigga came from feel Me
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: Long Beach cripping. The plifs are different calling you know, man,
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: it's just crazy. But again, I never thought of THEFC analogies.
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: I mean, it makes sense. Yeah, I never thought of
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: it as a negative connotation. I didn't think could Drake
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: be considered one of the greatest of all time? Then
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: in your eyes artists rapper MC, yeah it's a rapper. Sure,
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: hell yeah, I'm a fucker rap. I'm a fucker rap.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: But again, hip hop is his own special thing. So
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: like he could be one of the greatest rappers. He
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: could rap his eyes off that MoU he could rap.
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: I mean, but then again, people talk about righting and
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: all kind of shit. But yeah, I mean, listen, I
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: think that that's a discussion that's been beat over the head.
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: I think Drake, I'm confident Drake and rapping. It's it's obvious. Yeah,
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: I mean now, now, Steven wanted to what I have
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: liked him to have replied to push your t Sure,
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: that's different. He didn't want that smoke. You don't go
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: to the cultures, different when you go into the root
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: of culture. But he but he did get me. He
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: got Meek Miller b out of here for a couple
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: of years. Yeah, but Meek is and as much as
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: Mik is, that's different. Mik is somebody who literally his
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: whole story is I was broken. I'm rich, that's fair.
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: I mean, push is different. Push. I told everybody I
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: said that that ain't Meek Mill, y'all better different And
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: all these white kids who don't know about the clips
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: and push your tea, y'all don't know what you're signing
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: up for. And he knew if he gave a record,
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: he would give life to that record. You don't want
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: people to hear that record. So the best way to
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: do it is just back away, like oh that you
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: know that way you don't because if you mentioned him,
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: people going to hear that. And when they hear that,
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: you know, violence is violence, and they gonna know like
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: that ship is savagery because that pushes the product of culture.
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: That's savagery. Yeah. Push is one of my favorite rappers ever.
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: So pushes some ship man that ship is fucking. I
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: was just I was like chomping at the bed. And
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: I'm one of those guys that was cheering for Drake
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: and the Meek Meal battle and you know me too,
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: me too. At the time, I just wanted him to
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: fight back, like, don't let these dudes pick on you, yo,
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: stand up, like, you know, get cracking. I didn't appreciate
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: like Meek's whole entire Twitter ship, and I just thought
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: I didn't. He stepped out of character a lot, and I,
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: you know, I tend to find out it's his character, right,
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: but look to find out at first he was so so.
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: But when Drake came with fucking back to back, I
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: remember li but but you know what, it might have
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: fucked Drake up because he turned into a super tough
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: guy after that. And then but but then Pushing t
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: was like, hold up, it's different. Yeah. Push is one
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: of those guys where you're like, you know the same
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: thing with Kendricks is not a gangster rapper, but you know,
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: nobody wants to with Kendrick. That's the product of culture.
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: Nobody like like you notice, like I'm like, Yo, nobody
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: want smoke a push your t Nobody wants smoke with
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: Kendrick Lamar, And nobody really wants to smoke with Freddy
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: Gibbs either, because fred has had some dare people to
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: say his name on records. There's like certain artists where
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: you're like, Yo, Royce to five nine, you don't want
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: that problem. You don't want the Royce to five to
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: nine problem on a record. Lupe was only until I
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: was teasing give it their friends they got a podcast together.
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: But what's funny is, look, so you don't want problems
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: with the root of culture. Yeah, Like when you see
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: somebody represents a bunch of people, like they represent a lifestyle,
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: they represent through hopes and dreams, you don't want to
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: fuck with that person. And some of these dudes really
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: represent that and not being one. I mean, it's some
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: guys that represent a lot. You just notice certain people
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: like just you don't say their name, you know, you know,
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: I will say this. One of those guys who I
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: thought would just be a bad idea that step two
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: was eminem but I thought MGK got them And I
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: don't think he got him lyrically, but I think he
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: wanted it. I don't even think Eminem has really good.
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: My favorite Eminem disc record is the one with you MGK.
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: My favorite ship was the Ship hits the Fan, like
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: all that ship. I love that era when it was
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: just a lot of mixtape ship to him talking. I
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: talk about Jo rule that the only good disc records
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: on Java was fifth Oh yeah, everything else. I could
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: have just the Eminem But the Eminem record where he
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: did mg K, that was one of my favorite because
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: you know why, he had fun with it. I just
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: think that mg K won because it was too close
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: and mg K had a great record. Mg had a
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: great record and the fact that we even thought about
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: it means mg K one Eminem is is. By the way,
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: MGK is not like he's a good rapper, you know
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: what I'm saying. He's a rock but he's not in
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: the same arena a world as MC. But the difference
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: is a great song versus a great rap. Me Also,
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: the subject matter was like, yeah, yeah, that's made a
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: great record. The same thing think about think about so
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: when Pusher put out his freestyle against Drake, Pusher wasn't
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: even trying to rap. He was just he went to
- 1:50:18Speaker 1: hit him up ro out with that first freestyle. That's
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: why I couldn't wait to see the second record, because
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, this is just him just being extremely
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: disrespectful at hitting record. He hasn't even applied himself as
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: an MC yet. Yeah, yeah, no, it's different again the
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: root of culture. I like the eminem dis to MGK,
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: Like I thought the this itself I was my favorite disc.
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: I thought he had a lot of fun. I think
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: he MC his ass off. But again, competing with a
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: record is different. In MGK. That's probably mgk's best record too,
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: it's not. I mean, I love MGK. He's been putting
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: out some rock shit lately that reminds me of like
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: Lincoln eighty two and shit. So I'm like, hey, this
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: reminds me of high school. It was bad, east Side
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: was cool. He had some cool joints, But that one
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: is probably his greatest record, That's the thing. Yeah, I
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: mean I feel the same way about NAS. I think
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: ether is Noah's greatest word. I hate that beat. You
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: hate the beat? I beat his fucking fire Ron browse
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: ever the bitching you by coming favorite or greatest? My
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: favorite favorite favorite, not greatest favorite. I think the greatest
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: just hit him up, that's probably the greatest. You know,
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: vasline is crazy. That's a toughness up there. My favorite
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: Dish record, man, Honestly, the greatest is probably back to
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: Back though, because that still gets played on the radio
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: and in the club. Yeah, it's it's different too. That's
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: a monster talking about just like a record for playability.
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: Favorite Dish record. Damn, that's a good Dish you know what.
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: I won't lie and it's probably gonn to be some ship.
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: But dollars and cents DJ Quick oh man, that they said,
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: eh T was shit? I continue, you left out the
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: G because the G ain't in you? That record was
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: fire fire. I ate about that. I said, when you
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: heard that line, did you at least like because that
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: line was crazy? We said, e I h T. But
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: should I continue? You left out the G because the g'
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: Oh no? He was like, yeah, no, that ship was hard.
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: That was a good record. That one was like and
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: I liked eight, I liked h. Steele, but it was like, fuck, nah,
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: that ship was crazy. It had to be that Dollars
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: and cents dollars and says it's legend that's a quick
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: Another guy on the second is Takeover, and people don't
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: talk about Takeover. Why. I don't think it's because it's
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: not a full disc record. It's lines on it. We
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: got a lot of people on Takeover. No, butsonically, I
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: think it's probably my favorite. I think it's such a
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: The beat is so good. Ether was great because I'm
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: a NAS fan before I'm a j Man was like
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: the tidal wave bro hit him up, my boy Deep.
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: It was like, fuck jay Z. It was just like
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: that ship was Jicks sucking lips. Yeah, you can't beat
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: that type of energy. I was teasing my boy. My
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: boy is a super duper NAS fan, and I'm a
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: super at this time. Hole. I fuck with Hole. When
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: Takeover came out on a blueprint and I was just
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: playing it over, he was in the car like, yeah, yo,
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: wait on none of this smoke and Ether drop, I
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: was like, fucking christ ship Man, ether Man. That ship
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: is a part of the culture, That record is a
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: part of the culture. That title that that music is
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: part of me. Now you get it. It's a verb.
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: You got ether? People said, man, man, you got ether,
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: Like stand yeah, lambs exactly. Everyone says no, you're a
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: stand for that stand off of some hip hop ship. Yeah, Nas, Nasah,
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: you know what song I didn't think get enough love
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: was the song the Blueprint two? On the Blueprint two
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: or that just Blazebee where he's like when the when
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: the when the the what did he say when the
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: grass is cut? The Snow Show. Gotta thank the little
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: homie NAS for that, though, just because he wears a coofie,
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: it don't mean that he's right. Is it Uchie Wally Wally?
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: There is? It wasn't Mike is it? Black Girl? Lost
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: as it? Shorty owe you for ice? No one talked
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: about that because the battle was already won by NAS.
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: It was over funny is so like right my favorite
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: NAS verse like all my homies obviously, if you like
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: jays is my favorite rapper ever. M see ever, that's crazy,
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: It's that's dope. So but if you're a jay Z fan,
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: naturally NAS fans literally the clashed. I love. I love both,
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: but I was I was on that side where I
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: was like Manu rich So as a whole fan right
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: as a deep way and NAS fans, I remember, right,
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: I would you know we would be talking ship to
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: this day as much as even I've grown to appreciate.
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: I've always liked nas No as a rapper. I just
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: I thought was overrated, I thought crazy. Listen not It's
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: just it's just the shadiest one for New York. Just
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: his greatest rap. I'm not even mad if that's what
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: you feel, right, But I'm just saying it was. It
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: was super you know, a regional idea that became bigger.
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: But over the time, right, my favorite naship we made
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: you the Verse on Kanye record right even now right
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: listening to him now with hit like put on hit
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: and do shit for hit, right, It's amazing. But I
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: find myself still teasing my homies, like I'm like, yeah,
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: little nas X got nas name. It's funny, right, how
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: that shit never dies? You still be teasing your homies like, yeah,
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: this is the new nas you know niggas high. Nas
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: Empty is my favorite man now is my favorite MC,
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: and Kanye is my favorite artist. Kanye is just unbelievable discography.
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: I don't know how fuck the music everything he does animal,
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: He's an animal man ship, He's an animal. I think
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: I was just not a fan of the Jesus King
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: album outside of that, but I'm also I mean, we
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: discussing I'm an atheist. I'm not into the god ship
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: anything they got spirit. I don't hate anything. I just
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: I just was like, man, this is just forcing it
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: down to I guess it's kind of like the you know,
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: the Little For me, it was like like Jesus Walks. Yeah,
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: but it was one song on an album. So you
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: said an album, wasn't I wasn't. There were some beats
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: on it that were crazy shout out to the Homie books,
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: but the whole album, sure, it wasn't. It was Jesus Walk.
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: It wasn't Jesus don't do that. No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: Jesus walks and Jesus talking about subject matterwise, but Jesus
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: Walks still as an agreement. I mean, it's one of
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: the best. Kanye Satan is probably playing Jesus Walk, right.
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: Jesus Walk was a fucking banger, right, And it was
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: one song on a song of I mean, nineteen twenty
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: one records whatever called drop it was. It was like
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: one out of that much Jesus Walks was or Jesus
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: King was like super unfocused. Now Kanye, he was not focused,
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: and it was like I thought that all the fucking
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: the shit he was doing with all the the choir
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: and all that shit was corny. I like that. I
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: don't think it was quanny corny. I thought that Kanye
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: has always been a spiritual person. No, I don't disagree.
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: I just thought that ship was very like purpose. It
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: didn't feel genuine. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: it just got like I think I felt. I think
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: he was. I think he was in a weird place
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: and I think he was going through it for sure. Personally,
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: he's been going through a lot. Mentally. I mean, I
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: think I think he had to kind of get spiritually centered.
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: And I think I forgive Kanye for all kinds of
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: fuckery and I forgive him for the for the Jesus.
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: I mean, Kanye is my favorite artist ever, Like I
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: love Kanye. I can't wait for Donda to come out.
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: I just hope it does not disappoint. I don't think
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: it will, and how could it live up to these expectations.
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: I think it's gonna. I mean, for me, I think
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: it will. I just need to I just need to
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: competence Kanye album and I'll be happy. I'll be honest
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: with you, Kanye could do everything right now. And I
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: really Kanye is probably the only rapper ever who just
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: do what the fuck he wes. I just like, yay, bro,
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: whatever ya gonna do because I'm fucking with it. And
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: and I and I and I think it's always from
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: a genuine place. Has Kanye been corney? I don't really
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: think Kanye. I don't think he does things without soul. No,
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: I don't think Kanye's corny. Yeah yeah, no, I I
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: just said for me, I just thought that there. I
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: remember the wire thing. Just to me, it's just one thing.
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: I have to go to a Kanye concert. I've never
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: been to a Kanye I've been to every tour except
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: the Pablo tour. Because the date I was supposed to
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: go to, I might get I might get him become
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: performed at my birthday party. I've been to all the
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: Kanye tours. The best show I ever been to was
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: was the Yeezest tour. He had a mountain on stage.
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: I heard about that. Have Kanye perform at my birthday party.
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: That's what I might do. I'm like, where is this
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: going to be at? I don't know, to be at
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: like a house, a small house. He could rock like
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: thirty people go old school for me, that would be
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: like crazy, Let's get to it. Hey, I'll be there,
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: Just give me my invite. Man. Hey, well look man,
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: g Malone plug the podcast No Silings, Black Effect Network,
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: see network. Why don't you do video because I wasn't.
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: I wasn't comfortable with where I was at speaking. Now
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: we're just finna get into it because I feel like
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: it'd be much bigger, much video. I had to get
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: good at it versus rushing like I think a lot
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: of rappers rushing to it and then that's why they struggle.
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: So I just wanted to get good at it first.
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: So you feel comfortable now, I feel like the visual
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: aspect of important. Yeah, and it's gonna take it to
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: that level man, No ceilings. It's available everywhere you listen
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: to podcasts. It's all about, you know, conversations with pariz
- 1:59:23Speaker 1: in our community and polarizing topics and really running into
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: the fire instead of leaving everybody in the house burning
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: and just trying to run into the fire and rescue
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: as many people as we can instead of just walking
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: by taking a picture of a burning house. That's what
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: No Selings is. So go get that, and then there's
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: music every week. Every week, you're putting out a song
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: every week. No, no, I'm saying I wish no I'm
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: dropping music. I'm saying every week. I'm speeding up to
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: every week. Right now, I've dropped three songs. I've dropped
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: record with Snoop and Iced Tea, Snoop and Iced Tea
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: and tie right, and then I dropped a song with
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: Gaming Corrupt. And now the next song is with forty
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: in Oh, So you're really just legendary features only here man.
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: For years we wanted to be a part of the
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: West Coast and we felt like they wasn't. So now
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: that the opportunity is present, I'm finally getting what was
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: the Ice Tea called like? That was in person? Oh?
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: That was amazing because Ice T is on another He's
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: in an Iced Snoop are as advertised Ice Tea is,
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: I mean a legend on TV now, Ice Team Snoop
- 2:00:28Speaker 1: was ours avatars. Those are not characters. There's no other
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: body else. There some a lot of rappers, ninety percent
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: of the rappers. Ice T has turned into a great
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: Arizona citizen. Now it is out, and I think it
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: was a Chandler. Ice Tea is proclaiming him now as
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: you should. Ice Tea is as advertised, He's exactly what
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: it is, correct, corrupt man, corrupt, corrupt up here snoop,
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: like snoop that Iced Tea is that those two guys
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: are as advertised. Besides, is the shadiest one because I
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: think you would see my favorite album. Would you say
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: it's the most slept on hip hop album on from
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: the West Coast? Ever? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, fair
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: Oh no, I wouldn't say it's the most slept on.
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: I would probably lead that for street gospel. I was
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: gonna say Streets is a Mother and or forty days
- 2:01:16Speaker 1: forty nights, four days forty nights is super nasty. But streets,
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: I think how much the West revers street gospel. That's
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: why like, Streets is a Mother is pretty remarkably close.
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: But Corrupt was already a successful artist. Yeah so, but
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: street gospel sugar Free, like I don't think the world knows, Yeah,
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: I don't think. I also don't think like like people
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: understand how much of fluid sugar Free had Yeah, just
- 2:01:44Speaker 1: on everywhere, not just not just here. But I'm saying
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: so I think that album would be the most underrated
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: and he's he comes as advertising. Yeah, that's for sure
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: that that was a real guy. I saw him on
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: a bitch on Alicia in Vegas. Yes, the real deal.
- 2:01:56Speaker 1: But the thing about the shadiest one is what ill
- 2:01:59Speaker 1: matters kids to New York. It's very much She's my
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: Probably when westat side connection was like like when bout
- 2:02:09Speaker 1: Down came out was my favorite. I stopt dub. He
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: could out wrap anybody from l A at the time,
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: was nasty and just his little aneurysm, skip skip connect
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: all that. When I hear illmatic, that's what I hear
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: the shadiest, when I hear this super deep dive into
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: true culture like Queensbridge culture and was doing ship with
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: like Gangstar. He was on the but before that, I
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: was on the shady No, that was way before that.
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: But I'm talk about the shadiest one where he dives
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: into LA culture probably greater than anybody ever had sonically
- 2:02:42Speaker 1: and and also like lyrically, like the lingo he was
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: using what he talked about. He talked about the part
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: of the house, part, he talked about all of the
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: lifestyles and situations. It was like that's are illmatic, you
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: know what I mean? And I and I'm sad that
- 2:02:57Speaker 1: other people you know, huh, I mean, I mean I've
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: never heard that aside from you. Yeah, it's ario Madic,
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: the way we just don't have as much sway over
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: the media, you know, as obviously the creators of the
- 2:03:10Speaker 1: actual fucking genre as they should. But that's ario Madic. Okay,
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: the shadiest one is ario Matic, all right. Last question
- 2:03:18Speaker 1: two thousand and one of the Chronic two thousand and one,
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: me too. Yeah, I mean I was fucking I barely
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: fucking knew with Dolli styles, but I have to go
- 2:03:27Speaker 1: back and consume Doggie style and the Chronic. I heard
- 2:03:29Speaker 1: them right, And I think two thousand and one butt
- 2:03:33Speaker 1: revalue re replay value now, but personally for me it's
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: two thousand and one. But when you just talk about
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: share greatness, the Chronic is the father, No, for sure,
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: the Chronic birth to everybody shit. But I just think, like,
- 2:03:43Speaker 1: if I'm a listening, yeah, I'm play two thousand and one,
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: two thousand, Yeah, all right, yo, gim malone. Go check
