- 1:03Hi, guys. What is up?
- 1:06My name is Simone. I'm the feast and I may see and
- 1:10welcome back to Iowa's thinking. I feel like I could have done
- 1:13that a little bit better, but I just kept talking, it's fine.
- 1:17Yes, yeah, how's it going guys? Just real quick, we have lost
- 1:22talk about today, so far so good.
- 1:24Yep, that's good, that's good. So yes, as you can tell by the
- 1:30Title, we are doing another review, a TV show review and we
- 1:35are doing the glory, which is a kdrama.
- 1:39I think I should have go ahead and just put trigger warnings.
- 1:42Now that the very, very front of this episode.
- 1:46This episode is probably going to be the second tevye stepa
- 1:50sewed. We've done maybe not as heavy as
- 1:53the Oneness one but still it's heavy topics.
- 1:57So just trigger warning on Bully egg.
- 2:00Harm to people harm to self suicide attempts, may be some
- 2:06sexual assault harm to minors. Talking about death, anything
- 2:15else, I'm missing. Thanks, just as trigger warning
- 2:18for everything basically. Yeah, abuse around all edges.
- 2:22Yes. Abuse loss of abuse.
- 2:25And then before we actually get into the show, and if he said,
- 2:28may see already know this, I just want to bring this up real
- 2:31quick. I'm doing a lot better but just
- 2:33because of the very last episode, I said that we were in
- 2:36like the process basically of like whether we should put my
- 2:40dog down or not. Not.
- 2:42So we did end up putting Bella down almost about a week ago
- 2:45now. Yeah, grief is weird guys.
- 2:51We all process it differently, so especially if you've had pets
- 2:54before, you know, they become part of the family.
- 2:58Yeah, I mean better though, it's really weird with all the extra
- 3:03time. Sometimes I look around and I
- 3:05still think she's here or like, I'm expected to see her
- 3:08somewhere and she's not But I know we did it at a good time
- 3:13when me and my dad, go back and talk.
- 3:16We just realized she wasn't there so and we just took the
- 3:19quality of her life in consideration.
- 3:22So that's why he did it. I think it was just devastating
- 3:25that day because we were talking about it, we're like okay maybe
- 3:28we'll call them and see if they can get a suit within that week
- 3:31and my dad calls her, like we can get you in at 1:00.
- 3:34We're like oh God and as soon as he called me that was like 11.
- 3:37I was crying the whole day, so yeah.
- 3:41And of course, you know, they try to make the process go as
- 3:44smoothly as possible. And I had to be the adult like I
- 3:47had to tell the vet tech everything because my dad was,
- 3:50you know, very quiet, too busy, holding her and everything.
- 3:54So not to put him on blast. But that was like his ride or
- 3:57die. Like he like to say, because he
- 3:59works from home. So, I was like, she was with him
- 4:01all day every day, so, but yeah, I think you can find comfort in
- 4:07like like he said, making that the best In for her because
- 4:12being I work with animals every single day and I see a lot of
- 4:15pets that are just so miserable and it's just it's
- 4:19heartbreaking. So it's like when you have
- 4:21parents pet parents that like know when it's that time it's
- 4:26you know it's good that you don't make them suffer even if
- 4:30it's really hard for us. Yeah, I never want anyone to
- 4:33suffer because I went through that with Lucy, you should
- 4:36cancer and we just had to make that decision, you know?
- 4:39So it wasn't like I should Just died of old age kind of thing.
- 4:43Yeah. So but then we did also pay to
- 4:46get her ashes back. So I will get her back in a cute
- 4:49little box so but yeah, I just wanted to give an update on
- 4:53that. Just I did talk about it and the
- 4:56first episode of this year. So, To move on.
- 5:02I'm sorry. Y'all know how I get when I'm
- 5:04like I do a podcast and I'm gonna beat you like a lot of
- 5:07talking our to the glory which how we feel about the glory
- 5:14before we get into it guys I don't remember if I heard the
- 5:17buzz before I started watching it.
- 5:20I just remember you know like Netflix when they suggest you
- 5:22something. I think I just saw it on there
- 5:24and I was like oh this looks interesting and new kdrama I saw
- 5:27it in the top. 10, but I definitely watched it before it
- 5:31became like this, huge like phenomenon, like in the US and
- 5:36in Korea, which I'm grateful. I watched it before that because
- 5:39I probably would not have watched it once it became so
- 5:42popular. Just because like there's like
- 5:43clips and things like that out there.
- 5:45But yeah, yeah. Had seen a tick tock about it.
- 5:48That caught my interest like immediately.
- 5:50And I went on Netflix and like put it on my list of things to
- 5:53watch and then we talked about it in the ramble episode and I
- 5:57literally watched the whole thing that That day we recorded.
- 6:01Yes. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:04So it's good, it's good. I originally was not going to
- 6:08watch it because like her past few dramas were not like they
- 6:12didn't really interest me. That's who it interests me.
- 6:15So I'm like, oh, this is gonna be like the same thing but then
- 6:17like, I don't know. I just clicked it because I had
- 6:20like, no other show to watch. And I was just like, there are
- 6:23very few things Gore and things like that.
- 6:25Do not really upset me. But like this show like really
- 6:28had me upset, especially Actually, that first episode
- 6:30where they show like very detailed seeing them like, oh my
- 6:33God, this is so crazy. But yeah, overall, it's a very
- 6:37enlightening show I would say, yeah, sure.
- 6:40I don't know if it's like personal for you either because
- 6:42you are a teacher, so you are around kids, especially that
- 6:46age. So I'm not sure how it is at
- 6:48your school especially if you guys have like a huge bullying
- 6:52problem because bullying is a big problem worldwide.
- 6:55I will get into that a little bit later, but I was just
- 6:58wondering As it from a teacher's perspective.
- 7:01I'm not around kids so well we don't have like a huge bullying
- 7:06issue like specifically on campus but I do teach in the
- 7:10part of town where like gangs are very prominent and so like
- 7:15we do have like fights and stuff related to that on campus so I
- 7:18don't really call it bullying but just more of like conflict I
- 7:22guess you could say but either way it was just like very I
- 7:27don't know. It made me upset and that's Very
- 7:29rare for me. Oh no.
- 7:31Definitely made me upset too because like, I mean, I don't
- 7:33know if I ever said on the podcast but like the fisa Basie
- 7:36could like, I was just talked about it before.
- 7:38We recorded how I talk about how I'm very iffy and probably like
- 7:4190% sure. I do not want kids and probably
- 7:44will not have kids. Well yeah, just because I don't
- 7:46want kids don't be and I don't like kids.
- 7:48Think there's a difference that a lot of people don't like get
- 7:51when someone says they don't want kids and but I'll never
- 7:55want to see a child in any type of harm.
- 7:58Yeah. Like they're so innocent.
- 7:59Don't really understand especially at that age, like
- 8:03almost say, the dangers of the world, especially like how her
- 8:05upper leg is but just like, what is it?
- 8:08They call in your brain, their cognitive thinking and like
- 8:12rationales not all the way developed yet.
- 8:14Yeah it's not developed until your what 25.
- 8:17Some I just developed last year until like my decision-making my
- 8:22beliefs and stuff like that. And I'm glad you brought up like
- 8:24the whole teacher thing because there's a thing that happened in
- 8:27the show that I want to like touch Ehsan, yes, because I
- 8:30swear to God, if I was there, I would risk deportation to be his
- 8:35end. Yeah, I swear to God, you're
- 8:37not, I don't care where I am. I would I would risk getting
- 8:46arrested if that beats I'm protecting a child, right?
- 8:49Like if I ever see a child getting carb and public in my
- 8:52view, I will make sure they okay, first, I don't care if
- 8:54you're their parent or legal guardian, there's no reason for
- 8:57you to be harming a child. Any circumstance.
- 9:02But I want. I do want to say, though, about
- 9:04the character specifically. Like I'm sure you'll go into
- 9:07this, but like I'm just really glad she turned out the way she
- 9:12did. Because the experiences that she
- 9:14went through like they showed in the episode she could have
- 9:16turned out completely like deranged, like completely
- 9:20different. I'm glad she had like the strong
- 9:23will to overcome most of those things and we still got a party
- 9:27so we'll see if she's truly. For what they shown Us in part
- 9:31one. I guess they've shown us so far,
- 9:33not really. But if you have a watch this
- 9:37yet, you can still listen to the first part.
- 9:39I'm not really going to give any spoilers just yet.
- 9:42So what I did, of course, talk about the synapse of the show,
- 9:47their director and the writer, and how the writer thought of
- 9:49the show. And I went in and actually
- 9:52pulled up some facts about bullying, not just in Korea, but
- 9:56just like in America as well, because we live in America, and
- 9:59I'm sure Even us, don't know all the statistics about like
- 10:02bullying here as well. So yeah, I'll let you guys know
- 10:06when we get into the show itself so you don't to worry about
- 10:09spoilers but again we really hope and encourage you to have
- 10:13watched the show and they come listen to us because we're going
- 10:16to spoil everything. But if you don't care about
- 10:18spoilers, this is keep listening.
- 10:20And as always we are doing an international show.
- 10:24So we are mostly going off of translations and what we know a
- 10:28little bit about. The language.
- 10:30So apologies, if we miss translate anything and again,
- 10:35disclaimer, I won't be saying a lot of Korean words.
- 10:39I have started taking classes again and my class just showed
- 10:43me how terrible I am. So, I am so sorry if I
- 10:47mispronounce, 80, words names or places, I'm trying my best.
- 10:53Okay? So yes, as we keep saying, we
- 10:56are doing the glory and the Hangul Korean Inversion is
- 11:00literally like the same. It's so cool Glory.
- 11:05Basically, like, how you would say it in Korean, even though I
- 11:09haven't in Hong Kong because I know it's how a SATA English.
- 11:12My brain just wants to say it in English, so Glory.
- 11:16So the official release date on Netflix and I believe this is
- 11:19also just on Netflix in Korea, too.
- 11:22I don't think this is shown on like, one of their cable shows,
- 11:26I'd be really shocked if it was, but I think this is also just
- 11:29Just a Netflix original here at America ended Korea but it was
- 11:33released December 30th of last year 2022 and so far it is Eight
- 11:40Episodes so this they did divide it up.
- 11:42So this is only part one and a part 2 will be out March 10th of
- 11:47this year. So in a couple weeks probably
- 11:50sooner whenever I post this episode and then I'm sure we
- 11:55will obviously review part 2. I was telling basing the fee
- 11:59Before you die. Here, I'm a little scared for
- 12:01part two because I know how they do sometimes with, like, typing
- 12:05something up. And then, yeah, me too.
- 12:07Actually last episodes, I hope I, I'm hoping.
- 12:12But anyway, so the synapse that Netflix giz, once you click on
- 12:16it, is tormented by our high schools classmates.
- 12:20And with nowhere to turn for help, Mundo, Moon sinks into the
- 12:24spare before deciding on a new mission in life.
- 12:27And I don't feel like that really describes a show.
- 12:29So on Asian Ricky Netflix is like description, sometimes be
- 12:34so bad in my opinion, but Asian Wiki says, I high school student
- 12:40dreamed of one day working as an architect, she became a victim
- 12:44of violence perpetrated by her fellow students.
- 12:46She dropped out of high school because of the bullying, she
- 12:49then planned revenge on her tormentors and also, the
- 12:52bystanders who did nothing that student is now an adult.
- 12:56She has waited for the leader of her tormentors to get married
- 12:58and have a child. Who is now Elementary School
- 13:00student. The woman who was once a victim
- 13:03of school violence is now the homeroom teacher of her
- 13:05tormentors child and her cruel. Revenge plot begins in Earnest
- 13:11donna.donna. There's a much better
- 13:13description. What?
- 13:15Actually makes me sound interesting, it's the show right
- 13:19Netflix, get your snack together.
- 13:21Listen Netflix has a lot of things need to get their acts
- 13:23together. I feel like they kept it.
- 13:25Vague on purpose, though. This is good in some level, but
- 13:29Like, if you watch to favor of it, you would learn all of that.
- 13:32Well, yeah, but anyway, yeah, but I think their description is
- 13:36in compliment to like the trailer that they have going on
- 13:39at the same time. So it could be.
- 13:42Maybe I'm not sure not to defend Netflix or anything.
- 13:47But I'm just saying I was going to say, because Netflix, I'm a
- 13:51little worried, we might not have Netflix soon, but they
- 13:54messing up the bag. They messing up the bag.
- 13:58So, the director Of the glory is on Gil hole.
- 14:02And then I also just wrote down like some other things.
- 14:05Stay directed, which is Rooftop, Prince, mrs.
- 14:09Cobb stranger record of Youth and happiness.
- 14:12I don't know if any of you have heard of these dramas or movies,
- 14:16I have not, but that's some other things, okay?
- 14:20And then the whole Creator and writer of the show is Kim Moon
- 14:23Soo, she has written Secret Garden, her and her most famous
- 14:29wants is descendants of the Sun, as well, as guardian.
- 14:33The lonely and great God, and the English version of that is
- 14:36also Goblin. I still have not finished
- 14:39Goblin. Those are two of my favorite
- 14:42drama. So I was just like, I think it
- 14:44was after I read that I was like, okay I'll give this a shot
- 14:48not disappointed at all. She also wrote mr.
- 14:52Sunshine. And another Netflix original the
- 14:55king Colonel Monarch. There's a lot of controversy
- 15:01with that one. Part 1 and 2 or just part one, I
- 15:06remember part one, but I hearing part two is good.
- 15:10I don't know. That drama was kind of confusing
- 15:11for me, but it is what it is. It's a bit confusing I suppose
- 15:16but I still liked it. Have you seen part to yet me see
- 15:21think so. I didn't know there was a part 1
- 15:24or part 2. I thought it was all just yeah,
- 15:27Collective, right? No, I think they came out with
- 15:30another like season, but they're just calling a cartoon.
- 15:33Yeah, I've seen a second season then yeah, then you okay.
- 15:37Then yes. There's a new season if y'all
- 15:38want to go and maybe part one or season one will make sense.
- 15:42But anyway, we're not talking about that show right now.
- 15:47The writer. Kim Eun Sook says the story.
- 15:51The Glory is very personal to her.
- 15:53She received the idea actually, by speaking to her daughter, who
- 15:57is in high school. I'm assuming she's in high
- 16:00school right now because his story show just came out.
- 16:03So she's around the age where the main character was, probably
- 16:07like getting bullied. And then, the idea actually came
- 16:10to her one day. When her daughter asked her a
- 16:12question. Would you be more her if I beat
- 16:15someone to death or was In to death.
- 16:18I wish I had a creative mind like that, from that one
- 16:21sentence makes me think of a whole TV show.
- 16:24That is an interesting question, though.
- 16:25What do you guys think about that?
- 16:27And I actually just started thinking about.
- 16:28I'm like, wait, I don't have the perspective of us like apparent,
- 16:33but I've always said that if my, if I had a child and they turned
- 16:36out to be 0 killer, I'm throwing them under the bus, I'm sorry,
- 16:39you can't kill people, that's not okay.
- 16:42You're not going to be like one of those white women who are the
- 16:45true prize. It though.
- 16:47My son was like this. He was a good boy.
- 16:50He got old Gray's obviously I raised him.
- 16:56Right. Obviously something to mess up.
- 16:59Yeah. So I guess I would be more upset
- 17:02if you were beaten to death, you know?
- 17:04Because he's like that's horrible.
- 17:06Yeah, I think that would be my answer.
- 17:08Hey, I wrote this in parentheses, like my own
- 17:10thoughts. I do that a lot when I'm taking
- 17:11notes, I don't know if this was school violence because I was
- 17:14trying to find out, there's a lot of like articles, And the
- 17:17headlines like is the glory, based off a true story so it's
- 17:20not like I said, it's based off that question that her daughter
- 17:23asked her, but I guess they're actually was like, some type of
- 17:27burning incident in South Korea back in. 2006, this what makes
- 17:33me think that it wasn't like School violence because all it
- 17:36said was a perpetrator burnt her victim with I put hair salon, I
- 17:41think I meant to put hair curler as well as like burns on it.
- 17:47As and scratched her with a bunch of hairpins and stole her
- 17:50money, but they ended up catching the person that did it.
- 17:53So that's why I'm like, I don't think this was school violence.
- 17:56If money was stolen, but then again, I'm not actually sure.
- 18:02But then continuing with the writer, she also said, when she
- 18:06was doing her research and she actually did speak to actual
- 18:09victims of school bullying. She was surprised that a lot of
- 18:12them. Honestly, really just wanted a
- 18:14sincere apology and then there's a Quote, I wrote from her says,
- 18:18it's not about gaining something, but rather getting it
- 18:20back and moments of violence, you lose things, you cannot see
- 18:24such as dignity, honor and Glory.
- 18:26I thought that you had to get that apology to return to one
- 18:29starting point. So I made the title The Glory,
- 18:32it's my encouragement to victims, like donggun, kill Nam,
- 18:35and you're drunk. She elaborated, which are
- 18:39characters that we will meet later.
- 18:42Will we discuss this more that are in the show?
- 18:44And then I also got from the Cole.
- 18:47And of course, everything that I have, I'm saying guys, I linked
- 18:50the articles that you can read yourself and the comments below.
- 18:54But in the one that I got about her talking about her
- 18:57inspiration, about writing the glory, the first sentence that I
- 19:00came across talked about how bullying in South Korea, has
- 19:02increased by twenty five point, four percent in one year.
- 19:06This is reset. Yes.
- 19:09Wow, what about the United States?
- 19:11So, I will be giving some statistics about bullying first.
- 19:16I Will Do America, and then I will do Korea just to let you
- 19:19guys know my every article that I found the most.
- 19:24Recent statistics, I can find were from 2019, but I also think
- 19:28that's because of the pandemic. So I think that has to do a lot
- 19:31with why? A lot of the recent articles are
- 19:32from 2019 but I mean I'm sure they still relevant and some of
- 19:37it could have increased some of it could have decreased.
- 19:39I'm not sure what this like. Hell, no most recent are from
- 19:432019. So like I said, I'll start about
- 19:46school bullying and America so one out of every five.
- 19:50So it says, 20.2% students report bullying.
- 19:54A higher percentage of male than female students report being
- 19:58physically, bullied, six percent versus 4% or as a higher
- 20:02percentage of female than male students report being subjects
- 20:06to rumors 18 percent versus nine percent.
- 20:09So 18% of women report. So that being subject to rumors
- 20:15is parting, they're bullying as supposed to nine percent of
- 20:18males, and then vice versa of the physical physicals male 66
- 20:23percent female. Al's four percent and then also
- 20:28being excluded from activities on purpose.
- 20:30So, the girls have a higher percent of part of their bowling
- 20:35is being excluded from things in the males.
- 20:39That makes sense. I feel like girls are.
- 20:40Yeah, way more like psychological with there.
- 20:55Because I didn't balls like planning.
- 20:56It's not like yeah, our physical, it's more like in the
- 21:00moment type thing but like psychological, you're planning
- 21:04what you're doing. So you can't even say, oh, I
- 21:06didn't know what I was doing. It was In the Heat of the
- 21:08Moment. No no, no girlfriend.
- 21:10You knew what you were doing? Women are scary.
- 21:14You should want to underestimate us so much but we truly are
- 21:20terrifying. All right.
- 21:24So 41 percent of the students who reported being bullied at
- 21:27school indicate that they think the bullying would happen.
- 21:29Again of those students who reported being bullied, 13% were
- 21:34made fun of called names or insulted. 13% were the subject
- 21:38of rumors 5% were push of trip tour.
- 21:41Spit on. If anyone's spits on me I swear
- 21:44to God that's when I will be murder murder and 5% were
- 21:51excluded from activities on purpose.
- 21:54The reason for being bullied, most often by students include
- 21:58physical appearance, race, ethnicity, gender, disability,
- 22:02religion, and sexual orientation.
- 22:06And I actually did write down two examples recently in
- 22:09real-world time to like talk about these.
- 22:13So I know recently because you guys aren't on Twitter on
- 22:16Twitter. I think this is somewhere in
- 22:19Philadelphia. There is a group of white girls.
- 22:23I think there's about five of them.
- 22:26Three of them are recording or seeing the video from one girl's
- 22:30point of view. But anyway, I guess they sent
- 22:33this video to a black girl that they're bullying.
- 22:36Because one of the girls that they're like shooting of is two
- 22:39girls out there shooting like the video of one of them's in
- 22:42complete black face, first of all.
- 22:45And then the one in the red hoodie is basically like
- 22:47spraying them pretending. She's like, I don't know if
- 22:50she's pretending basically to be like the police and do like some
- 22:53type of police brutality thing when I first watched it, I
- 22:56didn't listen to the audio and then I clicked on it and then I
- 22:59heard the girls sprayer it. Say something about, get back
- 23:02up, get back to work, you slave and I immediately clicked it
- 23:04off. I'm like, I'm not doing this for
- 23:05my Mental health, happy pills History Month like no cakes.
- 23:11So that's one, still have that to deal with and I'm sure they
- 23:16were probably thrown around a bunch of other racial slurs
- 23:18saying the n word all that, especially to the one who was
- 23:22painted pretending to be black and then another incident with
- 23:26race there. This happened in the United
- 23:28Kingdom. So I also saw video of a black
- 23:32girl, basically getting jumped because she was fighting This
- 23:36one white girl and then there's other for white girls that were
- 23:39jumping at the other time. So like this was literally being
- 23:41jump and I saw that it said their ages range from like 11 to
- 23:4617 and the crazy thing about that one they are outside of
- 23:50their school gate. So they're on school property
- 23:53doing this and there's a whole bunch of white adults and no one
- 23:56will stopping this. You literally see in the video,
- 24:02Baby like three or four adults just standing around watching
- 24:05this. Poor girl, get beat up.
- 24:07So that made me think of like the homeroom teacher when it
- 24:10comes to like those are aware of this.
- 24:13Yeah, sometimes witness it and they won't even stop it.
- 24:17So wasn't there. I swear I've seen it all over.
- 24:20I take that. There was another instance where
- 24:22they got male teacher was like hitting a male student like he
- 24:26followed him down the hallway and the video there's like video
- 24:29security camera footage of him like pushing him up against a
- 24:32wall and hitting him. Like I don't know, I didn't see
- 24:35the backstory for that but I've seen it all over.
- 24:37My Tick Tock. It's just crazy.
- 24:40It's just God. This world this world, but I'm
- 24:45going to continue. So and that's one fact about not
- 24:49even just the u.s. So that last one I was talking
- 24:50about was in the United Kingdom. It happens everywhere.
- 24:55People are happens everywhere. Human nature is awful.
- 24:58Sometimes. Yeah.
- 25:00So among students between the ages of 12 and 18, who have
- 25:05reported being bullied at school.
- 25:07Cool. 15% were bullied online or by text?
- 25:12I'm sure that has gone up because of Technology.
- 25:15Now, I'm reports of cyberbullying or at the highest
- 25:18among middle school or students followed by high school students
- 25:21and then primary which I think is Elementary School students.
- 25:24So first it's middle school. High school and elementary
- 25:27school. They're saying, which I
- 25:29definitely believe that middle school students are evil.
- 25:31Yeah, they're scary. They are very scary.
- 25:35The percent of individuals who have experienced cyber bullying,
- 25:38At some point in their lifetime have been more doubled.
- 25:40So it dropped from 18% to 37 percent from 2007 to 2009.
- 25:46Teen again, I'm sure that's because the advancement of
- 25:48Technology when students were asked about the specific types
- 25:52of cyber bullying. The Experience mean and hateful
- 25:55comments was 25% rumors. Spread online was 22%, that was
- 25:59mostly cited and then the type of cyber bullying.
- 26:02Different between the genders girls were most likely to say
- 26:05someone to say someone spread rumors about them.
- 26:08Um online, while the boys were more likely to say that someone
- 26:11threatened to hurt them students with specific learning
- 26:15disabilities, autism spectrum, disorder, emotional and
- 26:19behavioral disorders other health, a and speech or
- 26:22language. Impairments report greater rates
- 26:25of victimization than their peers without disabilities and
- 26:30their victimization remains consistent over over time.
- 26:34So like they're the ones. Sadly who like I feel like
- 26:38Continuously get bullied, even throughout adulthood when
- 26:42assessing specific types of disabilities, prevalence rates.
- 26:46Differ, so 35.3 of students with behavior and emotional
- 26:51disorders, 33.9 of the students with autism 24.3% of students
- 26:57with intellectual disabilities 20-point 20.8 percent of
- 27:02students with health impairments and nineteen percent of students
- 27:06with specific learning disabilities, He's faced high
- 27:08levels of bullying. Victimized victimization, 70.1%
- 27:15of lgbtq students were verbally. Bullied called names threatened
- 27:21list goes on and the past year because of their sexual
- 27:23orientation. And fifty nine point one because
- 27:27of their gender expression and 53.2% based on gender, and then,
- 27:32my last one is 28.9% of lgbtq students for physically bullied.
- 27:38Need some examples. They gave were like pushed or
- 27:40shoved in the past year because of their sexual orientation and
- 27:4424.4% because of their gender expression and 22.8% based on
- 27:51gender. So that lgbtq Community was
- 27:55shocking to me. How that was the highest
- 27:57percent? I think that makes sense to me.
- 28:01Like yeah. Just that group as a whole is
- 28:05really misunderstood and like people suck.
- 28:08About like doesn't affect you, you know, but people are all up
- 28:12in their business and there's a lot of law stuff going on right
- 28:16now with like rights work according to that stuff.
- 28:19So it's I think that's a high subject matter now.
- 28:22Yeah, so that was all the statistics I gather for the
- 28:26American system. So now, these are the ones that
- 28:30I found for school bullying and Korea.
- 28:33So, the number of school bullying cases in Korea has
- 28:37continued to rise since 2013 in 2013, 11749 cases reported.
- 28:45And now data from 2019 shows that has more than doubled with
- 28:5030 1130 cases, reported of some type of bullying.
- 28:57And this article that I got it from was happening during like
- 29:02the whole Le seraphim, think if you guys are aware that when
- 29:07they first debuted and that one girl who was accused of school
- 29:09bullying. So if you do go and read that
- 29:12article that I linked they do talk about her, I just didn't
- 29:16take any of the facts of that because that's not what we're
- 29:18talking about. But just to let people know.
- 29:20That's why I think this article is written in the first place.
- 29:24And the last four years, 50% of reports were physical violence.
- 29:29But as times continues cases of verbal violence the tension,
- 29:34korzun and sexual violence are also on the rise verbal violence
- 29:39has increased sharply from 3208 in 2016 to 8470 One cases in
- 29:472018 and addition to coercion has risen.
- 29:52I don't know what curse. Coercion is, does that mean like
- 29:55pressuring them into doing like crimes?
- 29:58Okay, that's what I thought. I just want to hear pressure.
- 30:00Basically your pressure. Okay.
- 30:02Thanks From 100 cases in 2018 to 2202 in 2019.
- 30:12So that was a very big jump in just one year.
- 30:17Between 2016 and 2019. A student that were punished for
- 30:22their actions. Seventy-three thousand nine
- 30:25hundred and twelve cases. So out of that big number
- 30:30twenty-nine Point 25% of that apologize and writing.
- 30:35Wow. God talking numbers 50,000 and
- 30:4251 cases were minor. 46,000 194 cases resulted in special
- 30:52education or Psychotherapy treatment and thirty seven
- 30:56thousand, three hundred seventy three cases in school services
- 31:00for the accused students. As for transfer cases, 7890 five
- 31:07cases and 6625 were expelled Korea's punishment.
- 31:15Classification for school, bullying is divided into nine
- 31:18categories. So over there, level 1 is being
- 31:22the lightest punishment which is a written, a pop, which is a
- 31:25written punishment to the victim.
- 31:28I think they meant written apology to the victim.
- 31:33Is this punishment anyway, so level 1 is basically just
- 31:35writing a written out apology to the victims.
- 31:39Level two is to protect the victim and level 3 is labeled
- 31:43Labor Service level for is community.
- 31:48Service is granted to relatively serious bullying, cases.
- 31:52And then it, like I said, it brings up the girl, her name was
- 31:56Kim. Got them from the seraphim.
- 31:58So, apparently when they were doing the research on her, and
- 32:02Station, she was granted level 5, which was special education
- 32:05and psychological therapy or a psychological treatment for her
- 32:09actions. During school level 6 results in
- 32:12a temporary suspension from school.
- 32:15Level 7 is attendance is prohibited by level.
- 32:19A is student will be transferred.
- 32:20And finally level nine student is withdrawn from school.
- 32:24They give you like nine chances before your like I guess
- 32:28permanently banned from school. However, despite having these
- 32:31punishments in place, many are still not satisfied.
- 32:34Especially since the records of all bullying can be deleted.
- 32:37Two years after graduating as a way to preserve the students
- 32:40reputation. And as a result of victims are
- 32:42left with pain and Trauma of their bullying while the bully
- 32:44gets a fresh start. So, none of that actually even
- 32:47matters because I guess if you do, end up graduating your
- 32:50record, it's clean. So in July of 2021, this is an
- 32:57incident of like trying to figure out the best way to say
- 33:01it basically an international student, be a bullied.
- 33:06So it says, in July of 2021, a Mongolian Middle School student
- 33:11and Busan was made to drink alcohol, tied up and beaten by
- 33:14her classmates. The bowling lasted nearly six
- 33:18hours and was film where disparaging comments were made
- 33:21about the ethnicity. The student can be shown drawn
- 33:25being drawn on forced to drink her urine and fed cigarette
- 33:28butts. When the result was, when the
- 33:30assault was reported Koreans and Mongolians, of course, refuting
- 33:36and Furious. And then the article says to add
- 33:39insult to injury, the perpetrators were only punished
- 33:43with social service and a level four classifications crazy.
- 33:46I don't know, I don't know. I it's like that's almost
- 33:51Beyond. Bullying, that's just
- 33:53straight-up a soul, you know, I mean because I experienced a
- 33:58little bit of bling, but mainly in middle school and it was all
- 34:01just insults and like you can see, can't get pushed in a
- 34:04locker or like a physical fight would break out but like holding
- 34:09someone down and making them drink their own urine and like
- 34:11beneath them to that point. Like that's that's jail.
- 34:14Time assault people, that's not bullying.
- 34:19So I didn't get to write any notes.
- 34:21I still have it. It's like two more bullets and
- 34:23points before I'd say them though.
- 34:25I didn't get to write any of the facts because my notes are
- 34:27already long enough, but I did post like an article about like
- 34:31the history of bullying in Korea, if anyone's interested in
- 34:35reading. It is pretty long as about,
- 34:37like, 300 pages. But I've been slowly reading it,
- 34:40and it is very interesting to learn how we got to this type of
- 34:44level. But let me just finish my notes
- 34:47real quick system is a bit harsher in general.
- 34:50Yeah. Because like Depending on the
- 34:52type of crime, you know, they can get tried as adults.
- 34:55So yeah. But anyway, in addition to
- 34:59school bullying cases, reports of cases and the workplace Sport
- 35:03and also the military are on the rise, some which result in
- 35:09fatalities couldn't get it out, which is a huge concern
- 35:12throughout the country of South Korea, according to a survey
- 35:16conducted by a Korean psychology magazine, more than one and ten
- 35:20workers suffer from bullying. Being almost every day 5 to 10.
- 35:25No, excuse me, 5:55 office workers suffer from bullying, at
- 35:30least once a month and in 2017. The record show that as many as
- 35:3570 percent of workers, have experienced bullying and it's
- 35:39also believed that Korea's long standing order of respect in
- 35:42regards to age. Is the route to many of these
- 35:45bullying problems. The act of respecting your
- 35:48elders is as seen as must even Just a years age different
- 35:54leading to the evolved to most likely be the victim so I'm sure
- 36:00that one was a little bit more opinion-based.
- 36:03Again I will not talk about that as a non-korean but that is a
- 36:07factor as why they are saying willing could be kind of hard
- 36:11because of the way, their respectability culture is when
- 36:15it comes to age is was I can see so, but I don't want to give too
- 36:21much my Own American opinion. But yeah, those were my facts
- 36:28and statistics on bullying and America and Korea.
- 36:32I'm still stuck on that girl being being forced to drink
- 36:36earlier and e cigarette butts. I mean they force better
- 36:41cigarettes, right? It's like on one level.
- 36:44I'd like to think that our bullying problem is less severe
- 36:49but at the same time we have the most school shootings The world
- 36:53so I don't know. It's all, it's bad all around.
- 36:58Yeah, we lack in, we make up in another category so it all kind
- 37:02of balances. Oh yeah, guys, that was he home
- 37:07the statistic. So like I said, triggers all
- 37:11through round. So we are going to go ahead and
- 37:14get into the show. I am going to just talk about
- 37:18the cast real quick, so no triggers.
- 37:22Is just not triggers, no spoilers just yet.
- 37:26So let's get into the actual Glory.
- 37:28But I also just really wanted to do that just to let people know
- 37:31like, this is a serious issue, you know, bullying.
- 37:34I feel like this is the first time I've really done like
- 37:35statistics like that. So we're all just more aware,
- 37:39especially if you didn't know, some things even shocked, me.
- 37:44the more, you know, The more maybe you can make a change,
- 37:49that's why they trying to take our education away from us in
- 37:52this country, but to move on. So we have our main lead, who is
- 37:59Mundo Moon. She, of course, is the one
- 38:03that's being bullied. And she is plotting out the
- 38:06revenge and everything. And she is played by song, cake,
- 38:11you'll and Macey. She has an English name.
- 38:15Do you love me? English name is Lorraine song.
- 38:23I think that's actually kind of pretty.
- 38:25Yeah. Okay, fine.
- 38:27Okay I'm going to get off topic just real quick because I've
- 38:34been seeing this Dave trend for a little bit so I did it know.
- 38:38This person was like associated with her but apparently, she
- 38:43used to be married to a actor named song Joong Ki.
- 38:49Have you not seen descendants of the sun?
- 38:51Well, I have not. They're both the main leads in
- 38:55that show. Is that like how they met or no.
- 38:59Yeah, okay. Well that makes sense.
- 39:03But yes, but their divorce now. Yeah, seeing his name like
- 39:08online for the past. Couple weeks not as much
- 39:11anymore. And like until I did my
- 39:14research, I didn't know if that was her ex-husband but like I
- 39:16was saying his name because like a while ago, he debuted his like
- 39:20International girlfriend and you know it's a big deal, especially
- 39:23Like one, when like celebrities day and then to when they date
- 39:26someone that's not Korean and I found her name.
- 39:29So I just didn't call her like, the white girl because she is
- 39:32white. Her name is Katie Lewis
- 39:35Saunders. She's British, she's British.
- 39:39She still white though. I because they like, you could
- 39:43be black and be British, you could be, you know, from South
- 39:46Asia and be British, you know? Anyway, Because the drama with
- 39:53that was like, you know, a couple weeks after like their
- 39:57relationship got like, an ounce or like whatever.
- 40:03Actually. Back in January, I wrote the
- 40:04date, January 30. It was announced that he's
- 40:06marrying her and that she's pregnant with his child now.
- 40:10Is he married her because she's pregnant because I know how the
- 40:13celebrities especially in Korea. I don't think co-parenting is
- 40:17really a thing over there. Do Because she's five months
- 40:21pregnant so you know IMA just leave that question up in the
- 40:25air for you guys because they don't have kids, do they?
- 40:30No, they don't. Okay, so this is first kid then
- 40:33yeah, gotcha. So yeah, just just a little I
- 40:38guess celebrity gossip some tea that I found out while doing
- 40:41this. Yeah, I just I just had to bring
- 40:44that up because I kept seeing this man's name and even when I
- 40:47was doing this, they brought his name up.
- 40:49I'm like why? Why is this name?
- 40:51So familiar. So that's why, but I haven't
- 40:53watched any of the dramas that he's been in or is in.
- 40:56So, so you haven't seen Vince Enzo either, right?
- 40:59Right, I'm trans. Oh, no.
- 41:01And it always pops up and I was like, I'll check this out and I
- 41:05never did. I can't remember if it was one
- 41:07of those times where like, I clicked like the first, you
- 41:09know, 10 minutes of it and then I got distracted.
- 41:13I never went back. It could have been one of those
- 41:14things but no, I've never watched it.
- 41:16So yeah. But other shows that she has
- 41:20been in sunk a song cake, you'll is Full House.
- 41:26You said they played a descendants of the sun together.
- 41:29Yeah, okay, so yeah, the sins of the son and that's also of
- 41:33course when she met the writer because that's the writer of
- 41:36same writer as this show now and we are breaking up /.
- 41:41The lead next, we have our character Jew, yo-jong, who is a
- 41:48doctor that we find out later specifically a plastic surgeon.
- 41:53I'm assuming he is going to be her love and Tris and teaches
- 41:58Dawn. On how to play go and goes and
- 42:02Abstract strategy board game for two players in which the aim is
- 42:07to surrender more territories than the opponent.
- 42:10And yes, I have to research that is I had no idea what they were
- 42:13playing and apparently and might be one of the oldest board games
- 42:19known in history, but don't quote me on that but I think
- 42:22that's what I was seeing. Yeah, and he is played by the
- 42:27actor Edo, he owned and some The dramas that he has been in, is
- 42:31clean with passion for now, Hotel Del Luna, and sweet home,
- 42:36which I've watched sweet home, and I need to re-watch it to see
- 42:40who he plays. He's in Sweet Home and I never
- 42:43finished hotel de luna to this day.
- 42:46I don't think I will. I've tried to watch it twice.
- 42:49We'll see. Alba.
- 42:51Next, we have Park Park yeongjin, who is the main
- 42:57school, bully? Which is her Tormentor and the
- 43:00leader of the group that she gets revenge on and she is
- 43:03played by the actress mg. Ian other drama she's been in is
- 43:08high society. Welcome to life and money, Heist
- 43:11Korea. And I'm mostly talking about the
- 43:14adult actors, but I did write down the girl who plays her high
- 43:17school version which is shin. Yeah.
- 43:20A on. Because the feast, did you
- 43:22recognize her? This is a mostly a question for
- 43:25you. I don't think I did.
- 43:27She plays down and you me cells to really.
- 43:31Yes, that's why I was like, oh no, I did not make that
- 43:37connection at all. I was like, is that Dome?
- 43:40Is that her? It is also apparently.
- 43:43She was also in, he is psychometric with jinyoung.
- 43:48So they worked together before. I don't know, I just didn't pick
- 43:53up on it. I was just so invested in the
- 43:54story. Yes, the younger version of her
- 43:58is down from ume cells to that. We did a review on.
- 44:03So next we have conch your Nam. So she had to re-watch this
- 44:10because I didn't realize this, but I guess she works at the
- 44:12house of Park, Jung, Jin, and her husband.
- 44:17She also has an abusive husband which we'll talk about when we
- 44:20talk about the show. Well and then she started
- 44:21working for donggun as like basically a spy for her for the
- 44:26revenge and she is played by yum.
- 44:30Yay in Iran. And some shows she has been in
- 44:33is Goblin while the Camille Camellia blooms and Macy's
- 44:38favorite The Uncanny counter, I knew I recognized her from
- 44:42something. I need to finish that.
- 44:48Um next, we have John Jay June so he is one of the bullies and
- 44:56he ends up being wealthy just like he predicted as a teenager
- 45:00and I guess this is a spoiler. You know what?
- 45:04No, I must save it till the imma save it till we get to the
- 45:07story. But yes, he is one of the
- 45:08bullies and he is played by pox on Kuhn and some shows he's been
- 45:14in is jealousy and card, incarnate psychopath diary and
- 45:19Jos on its Exorcist. Extorts, no success.
- 45:25Yes, I can't read apparently, it's late all Okay.
- 45:33Next, we have hotdogs do young. He is Park Yeon Jin's, husband
- 45:39and CEO of a very big successful construction company in the show
- 45:44j.j. pyeong constructions and he is played by Joan Sawmill shows.
- 45:51He's been in is stranger to bad and crazy which I started on
- 45:55that flick. So I need to actually finish
- 45:57because it looks interesting and our Blues.
- 46:02Next, we have eSATA. She's also one of the bullies,
- 46:07she is I put in quotations, like the church girls and she's also
- 46:13a drug addict and the show, and she is played by Kim Hee, Kim
- 46:19hito. Rah.
- 46:22So she is like a newer actress. So a lot of the shows that I
- 46:25pulled up, she has like small roles in them so she played a
- 46:29beyond evil Hospital play. List to forecasting love.
- 46:33And whether she was an extraordinary who she had a
- 46:36whole like episode, she played a North Korean Defector which we
- 46:39didn't get to talk about but if you've seen extraordinary oh
- 46:42she's in that and bad prosecutor.
- 46:47And then next we have, Chile Jaejoong.
- 46:51Also one of the bullies and I put in quotation, she is
- 46:54discretion of the group if you guys seen mean girl.
- 46:58She is the Gretchen Wieners to me of bully group and her she's
- 47:04played by cha Joo. Young other shows she's played
- 47:08in is cheese in the Trap which apparently I need to go and
- 47:10re-watch cheese in the Trap. It's been so long the spies who
- 47:14love me Alice. In the final weapon.
- 47:18Next, we have some young. Oh, he is the last bully,
- 47:24there's five of them. He's like the trouble guy when
- 47:27he gets older, basically, when they become adults, he's Jones a
- 47:30June's, Lackey. And I also put the he is
- 47:33eastsidaz drug dealer and he's played by Kim going over.
- 47:38Other shows, he's been in is flight for my is it
- 47:42flight-or-fight? I think supposed to be fight for
- 47:44my way, fight my G. Yeah, it is fight for my way.
- 47:48Yeah, I love that show. It's great.
- 47:50I love it too. Why did spell check change it to
- 47:52flight? Because I've seen students in
- 47:55that show, actually, yes, I've seen that sounds like it's not
- 47:58flight. It's fight.
- 48:00Anyway, um, Catch The Ghost and record of Youth and then last
- 48:05but certainly not least, we have the little daughter, the most
- 48:08adorable little girl in my opinion.
- 48:11Ha yay. Skye ye Sol.
- 48:15She's the daughter of how do And Pacquiao Jin.
- 48:18I her real name is bujji. You'll and remember, in the
- 48:23feasts, I kept telling you I'm like, this little girl looks
- 48:25familiar. I've seen in her in something
- 48:28before. You want to know what?
- 48:29I've seen her in what she plays, Baby, Lou and attorney, who, all
- 48:35perfectly? Yes.
- 48:37Yes, he plays. Like, when she's like five and
- 48:40stuff, she plays the child version of her.
- 48:42I knew I see her in something recently, and I'm so happy.
- 48:46Yeah, I saw them like I knew I wasn't going crazy.
- 48:50And apparently she's also in the movie, that's on.
- 48:53Oh, it's on Netflix called space sweepers.
- 48:55I haven't watched it though, but she's in that.
- 48:58So yeah, that is the cast, guys. So for episode 1, this is where
- 49:05we get into the spoilers guy. So if you want to go stop and
- 49:08watch it. And then come back, you can do
- 49:10that or if you don't care about spoilers, listen, the head.
- 49:13But most of the episode is a flashback of moon.
- 49:16Don't don't lose high school days and experience with
- 49:18bullies. And then there is an incident
- 49:21that happened that ended up all them being in the police
- 49:24station. At the beginning, the homeroom
- 49:26teacher comes to the station and acts like the legal guardian
- 49:28for, don't going to take her home, which is also very
- 49:31surprising that they're allowed to do that.
- 49:33Because I know here, they will not let you go.
- 49:35If you're a minor to anyone that is not a parent or legal,
- 49:38guardian, or anyone the parent or legal, guardian says, it's
- 49:41okay for you to go to Just because kidnapping, so high
- 49:45here. So I've seen that in other drama
- 49:48real quick. Is this the same?
- 49:49Um, homeroom teacher one, or is this a different one?
- 49:52It is the same one. Yeah, so this is like all the
- 49:56beginning before like that, he jet incident happen, but then
- 50:00it's the same one because like immediately, once he goes to
- 50:03pick her up like he starts belittling her like asked
- 50:06telling her, like she didn't need to call the police on them.
- 50:08It was just like a silly prank. It didn't need to get like the
- 50:11authorities involved things of that nature.
- 50:14Yes! Cousin, Jay Jones.
- 50:16Also there, and he's located. I'm gonna comment on that like
- 50:23what? I think what she did was correct
- 50:25and as a teacher, I think he was wrong to say that to her
- 50:28especially when she had, like, physical like scrapes and stuff
- 50:32on her and her whole face was beaten in.
- 50:34But anyway, there's this this said homeroom teacher really
- 50:37irks me, but could you please. Um, so JJ Jude also asks, if he
- 50:41can like release him because like his parents are out of the
- 50:44country for like some type of golf thing and then like it's a
- 50:48whole 180 when he's talking to Him because he's like, oh, so
- 50:51we're your parents golfing, you know?
- 50:52Like, who's taking care of you while your parents are out of
- 50:54the country, you know, things like that.
- 50:58So then we jump to Park, yeojin's Mother's scolding her
- 51:03and I have no idea what she was hitting her with her.
- 51:05She was obviously physically hitting her with something, but
- 51:08not because of the bullying, but because she got caught with the
- 51:11bullying and was sloppy about it, just for reference Park.
- 51:15Yo, yo, engine jejune, and Saleh all come from Rich family.
- 51:20So they are like print, the average privilege teenagers,
- 51:24their whole family's rich, all of that, And then she also
- 51:29scolds her basically about her friend.
- 51:32She tells her like I just said they're from Rich families.
- 51:34So she was, like, why are you hanging out with me on Google +
- 51:39Ki Jeong? I told you you can only hang out
- 51:43with jejune and if you get bored, you're allowed to hang
- 51:46out with side arm because of their family, not the other two
- 51:48and something about like the shaman told them that like they
- 51:51would receive bad luck. If she hangs out with people,
- 51:54with O's and their name because you see out like throughout the
- 51:57whole show, Her mother. And I'm assuming the family are
- 52:00very like into the shaman, which I don't know much about.
- 52:03So I'm not going to get into because I don't know if that's a
- 52:05whole like another religion and itself or not, but they're very
- 52:09into Sean ISM or I don't think that's a word anyway.
- 52:16So then the next day is like, when that disturbing scene, of
- 52:19course happens where most people know about the show is they
- 52:23bring dong-geun to the gym as punishment for yeojin basically.
- 52:28He tells her from now on, she's going to be like a curling iron
- 52:33tester to see if the iron is hot enough.
- 52:36So that's when, you know, they start burning her with the iron
- 52:40and then when they find out, it's hot enough silence starts
- 52:43like ironing your engines hair and then during that scene to
- 52:50don't goes like crying for help and then like, hey Zhang's like
- 52:53oh no one's going to come rescue because we got the gym keys from
- 52:57the gym. I'm teacher which also should be
- 52:59another thing. We don't have time to talk about
- 53:02how this grown ass man is making out with a teenage girl.
- 53:07That's how it's like in the first place.
- 53:10She is slick 1617. This is a grown-ass man.
- 53:16That's immediate jail like jail. Immediate jail loss of your
- 53:20license and like you can't teach again because they make jokes
- 53:25about it too. And I'm like, no, this is, this
- 53:29is bad. If this is great, but not even
- 53:31just that though. Like he knew the purpose of why
- 53:34she wanted the keys. It don't matter it don't.
- 53:37Don't matter. Crazy God.
- 53:42Adult number two, that's disappointing in the show.
- 53:46I'll be a dollar that I don't think there was one good
- 53:53redeemable adult except for, which was my next bulletin
- 53:57point, which was the nurse. And I only think she couldn't do
- 54:00more, just because the position she was in and she seemed
- 54:04younger at the time because she actually seemed to care when
- 54:07Duncan went to the nurse's office and ask for just like
- 54:10hydroperoxide and she's like, who did this to you?
- 54:13Like these are serious? Burns.
- 54:15And then what gagged me? Like I had to stop the show and
- 54:19laugh was when she was asking that literally you.
- 54:23Oh, the like student bed. She pulls the curtain back.
- 54:26She's like, oh, it was me. He's like, I did that admits to
- 54:30it, so can't do anything about it.
- 54:32So, back to sounds like the power.
- 54:34She has, like being able to do this, can admit, she did this
- 54:38and nothing's gonna happen to her, which is wild to me.
- 54:41Yeah. So God, what power and money can
- 54:45do and her laugh? I'm like this girl is evil.
- 54:50I'm not gonna like she scared me more as a teenager than she did
- 54:54as an adult. I'll look at a verse a kid.
- 54:57Yeah. And then, like not only that
- 55:01like, don't go can't even catch a break from school because they
- 55:05end up showing up to her house and quotation marks.
- 55:10Because one of the things they do make fun of her for is that
- 55:12like her family's really poor just her and her mom that they
- 55:15actually live in. They, the caption state motel,
- 55:18but I guess it's one of those things where you can like rent
- 55:20out the rooms daily. So they don't actually really
- 55:23live there. And it's almost kind of like a
- 55:26extended stay. Tell or motel type, think I
- 55:30guess. So, yeah.
- 55:33But of course, they show up their bully her.
- 55:35They like break her piggy bank, I think beyond go does.
- 55:41And they're like, if you want the money back, you know, dance
- 55:43and then like yeojin's does say something about her legs, how
- 55:47she has pretty legs and then, you know, they pan off into like
- 55:51the hall wage which from her screams, you can tell they are
- 55:55burning her legs with the I earned that you used to like
- 56:00press close or iron clothes which I don't think anyone
- 56:03really uses anymore in this day and age.
- 56:05But yeah, that's what they burn her legs with.
- 56:09So then also in the episode Ki Jeong.
- 56:14I have no idea who calls her. I put that in parentheses, she
- 56:17gets a phone call. Basically, from like an
- 56:19expensive ski resort that they're at a teenager's
- 56:22informing her that dong-gook dropped out of school.
- 56:26But when she handed in like her reason for dropping Being out of
- 56:28school. She listed if for school
- 56:30violence and listed all of them as like bullies.
- 56:33So like this is when like the homeroom teacher kind of like
- 56:35gets upset because he calls don't going.
- 56:38And it's like basically pressuring her and like
- 56:40threatening her to like change the reason because like the vice
- 56:44principals getting off on him. So like the principal doesn't
- 56:46find out as well as the public that their school bullying
- 56:49happening at the school. And then this is your favorite
- 56:54part in the feast where if you want to get like talk about it
- 56:57more you can so like this is the one that I think had all of our
- 57:00Bloods boiling at least for me out of this whole show when she
- 57:05shows up to you know I guess the Teachers Lounge is like saying
- 57:09like fighting back she's like standing up for herself she's
- 57:13like no I'm not going to change. You know the reason I'm dropping
- 57:16out it is because of school bullying and like she shows you
- 57:19know her burnt since like you guys allowed this to Be done to
- 57:23be. So why would I lie and say that
- 57:24something else and then, you know, I first, he does that
- 57:28thing where it's like, he's lifting up his arm like he's
- 57:31threatening to hit her before he actually does.
- 57:34And then like, he literally tells her and I quoted this from
- 57:37like the caption. So like he tells her when she's
- 57:40saying all this, they break an arm or a leg numb.
- 57:43Your limbs are broken. I don't see the problem here at
- 57:46this point. You're being delusional friends.
- 57:48He hit each other all the time or every once in awhile.
- 57:51So, like it's really Not a big deal.
- 57:53And so when he actually gets violent with her, is when she
- 57:56brings up his son, and I feel like this is kind of like the
- 57:59author's way of, like, Inciting that question, her daughter
- 58:05asked her in real life because she brings up his son who I
- 58:09guess just got accepted to like University.
- 58:12And she's like, would you be okay with this if he was hit as
- 58:15hard as he could? And that's when you know all
- 58:19hell breaks loose were like he's taking some of his.
- 58:22He hits his watch literally rolls up his sleeves.
- 58:26Take some. Yes it's like he bout to get
- 58:28into a street brawl like he a pimp like punishing his Process
- 58:33to for not getting enough money first, he hits her with a book
- 58:37and then he disliked starts going at her, like, in the face.
- 58:41Like he gets a good four or like five, slaps it until the other
- 58:45useless adults in the room actually are like, okay way he's
- 58:49hitting her too much. Let's actually stop this.
- 58:51Like first, they're sitting around like watching then
- 58:53they're like, hey don't do this man.
- 58:55She's just a kid and then they actually do something when she
- 58:57gets on the ground. He starts actually trying to
- 58:59kick her in the ribs. Useless, adults, useless adults.
- 59:07What did we want to say anything about that before I move on?
- 59:12And I think the one that held him back was like, saying
- 59:14something like, it's not worth it or something, but whatever he
- 59:17said, was not in favor of the student know, it was.
- 59:20Yeah. Lose his job, not because he's
- 59:22worried, right? Actual girl, that's being beaten
- 59:24to death by an adult. But like for me though, like I'm
- 59:26just so shocked that he didn't, he didn't think twice, you know
- 59:32what I mean? Cause like, typically like like
- 59:34you have like, I guess a favorite quote unquote.
- 59:37But Like, when you see something like that happen, you kind of
- 59:40have to like, you know, step in and be the adult.
- 59:44The fact that he didn't do that, clearly clearly showed that he
- 59:48was like, bought out by them. I mean, you kind of find that
- 59:50find that out later but like it's just very obvious at this
- 59:53point. Like whatever it is like you can
- 59:56almost see that like whatever that group of kids like their
- 1:00:00parents had something on him. The influence.
- 1:00:03Yeah, animal school. I'm sure.
- 1:00:05But no like that seem just like got my blood boiling and then
- 1:00:08the one where they were, like, just burning her and he's like,
- 1:00:12oh no, like, like you were saying, like, oh, did they break
- 1:00:14a bone? But, no, they burn her, that's
- 1:00:16worse. She could literally get some
- 1:00:19physical problems in the future from those Burns.
- 1:00:22Yeah, some type of infection that can like, to say, behold
- 1:00:25later, like, no, they didn't break a bone in this moment, but
- 1:00:28you could call the lifelong like health problems.
- 1:00:31Exactly look. They weren't even like, Boo, Boo
- 1:00:35Burns. They were just, like, second,
- 1:00:36third degree burns over there were serious most.
- 1:00:39Yeah, and she was a treating them.
- 1:00:41Well, she was take care of them by herself, so she never went to
- 1:00:44like a hospital or anything, and I think one of them did get
- 1:00:47infected actually. Now that I think about it, I
- 1:00:50think so. Yeah, t things I don't know.
- 1:00:54I'm assuming that this story like real time is like what year
- 1:00:58this isn't set in because I know that it was gnarly. in 2000's, I
- 1:01:03think when she was in school, Because capital punishment used
- 1:01:09to be a thing like, teachers used to use physical violence
- 1:01:14for like, at least, you know, it's referenced in a lot of
- 1:01:18shows where they'll like, you want to write an apology letter
- 1:01:21or would you like to get hit 10 times or whatever?
- 1:01:23You know, so like not that it's an excuse, obviously, but it may
- 1:01:27have not been completely uncommon for these other
- 1:01:29teachers to witness violence like this.
- 1:01:33That would be my one reasoning and then also like the The
- 1:01:36effect where it's like oh shit something's happening and like
- 1:01:40somebody else will jump in you know, not to defend them in any
- 1:01:43way but I feel like that could play a part of.
- 1:01:46It is like one Capital punishment was used in that
- 1:01:50timeframe and to the bystander effect and then it's like oh,
- 1:01:55you know, the that was my thought process in that it's
- 1:01:58like it's not okay it's never okay and those teachers should
- 1:02:02have he should have done that in the first place and they should
- 1:02:04have stuck with immediately like he shouldn't have had the
- 1:02:07opportunity to hit her but those are like my thought processes.
- 1:02:10I'm like is that like are we in that timeframe of schooling?
- 1:02:14Well, I think, because she's in high school.
- 1:02:16So I think she was in high school.
- 1:02:18Around. I don't remember the actual
- 1:02:19year, it was at least between I'll give the time frame, 2002,
- 1:02:23and 2005 or six because I think what she worked in the factory.
- 1:02:28It said I saw dates of like 2008 when she officially drop down,
- 1:02:34she was working in that factory. So I want to say between maybe
- 1:02:38like 2004 and 2006 is when she was in high school, which I
- 1:02:43still feel like, I mean. But then again you know this is
- 1:02:47a different country. Why?
- 1:02:48When you said that may see in America, when did that happen,
- 1:02:51like when did they stop really disciplining?
- 1:02:53Children like that in schools in America?
- 1:02:56I don't know. I don't have time frames for
- 1:02:59that. So I just just made me think
- 1:03:00like is that because we stuck a remember how because, you know,
- 1:03:04Korea develop fast as like technology and stuff but just
- 1:03:08not like in certain ways. So I can also see it that way in
- 1:03:11that time frame. Maybe they were still doing
- 1:03:13that, which isn't okay. But still that's a good point
- 1:03:16though. Actually, I didn't think about
- 1:03:17that. Yeah, that was my only thought
- 1:03:19processes like why they didn't jump up.
- 1:03:21Immediately is like oh like students did this like the if
- 1:03:25you were out of line they had reason to hit you.
- 1:03:29Like they couldn't get in trouble for it but but he didn't
- 1:03:33have a reason to hit her though. No, he didn't just hit her.
- 1:03:39He was literally beating on her like he was.
- 1:03:41So he was like in the middle of like a MMA fight like like
- 1:03:46that's what it looked like. Yeah, like I said, jump in and
- 1:03:50tell he she was on the ground, he was about to start kicking
- 1:03:53her. Yeah.
- 1:03:54And that's when I think it's like, okay, well first I thought
- 1:03:58like this was just something that they saw everyone
- 1:04:02throughout and then second I was like bystander effect like oh
- 1:04:04she's like it happened, quickly not quickly and not sit,
- 1:04:10somebody couldn't have stopped and helped but that was my
- 1:04:14thought process through that. And then like, He should have
- 1:04:18received some kind of punishment for that but then it's like
- 1:04:21they're they get swept under the rug because like the teachers
- 1:04:25have like them the authority and they're not going to wrap their
- 1:04:27own teachers out and then the money thing and whatnot.
- 1:04:30But and then one other thing I was going to say, I think that
- 1:04:34seeing her, she's like, laying in the snow to like help her
- 1:04:38Burns broke me. Almost more than witnessing the
- 1:04:42burning happening because she started doing that when she
- 1:04:46decided not to jump back. Actually, she was on the roof
- 1:04:49before she started cleaning them.
- 1:04:50She was actually going to jump off the roof and kill herself.
- 1:04:53So but then it gets worse because even actually after that
- 1:04:58scene may see we jump to like the principal themself and
- 1:05:01yeojin's mother. They go out and actually find
- 1:05:05Dong Dong Woo's mom and bribe, her, basically, with money to
- 1:05:09fill out the Dropout form and say the reason was for the
- 1:05:15English is maladjustment I'm and then the Korean is bujang.
- 1:05:21So I didn't know what maladjustment meant but it's
- 1:05:23basically just used in Children mostly a reason that they've
- 1:05:29been raised in a way, that doesn't prepare them for like
- 1:05:32the demands of Life, which usually leads to like behavioral
- 1:05:35problems. So they were saying, basically,
- 1:05:38due to her home situation, led to her, having behavioral
- 1:05:43problems to where she could it be able to be in school.
- 1:05:48And have her sign off. And then after that, I mean, but
- 1:05:51I also don't play Marie still, like, later, she went somewhere.
- 1:05:57I think and then she comes back. And then she sees, I don't know
- 1:06:01if it's like the owner of the motel, but basically cleaning
- 1:06:04out like the room, they were staying in and she's like, oh,
- 1:06:07your mother didn't contact you. She moved out this morning,
- 1:06:11she's like, don't worry, maybe she'll call you lady.
- 1:06:13I'm later. I'm like, what, what kind of
- 1:06:16logic is that cultured If this has yeah, sure difference.
- 1:06:19I don't know, I don't know. Anyway, she just sees all her
- 1:06:23stuff outside the room and her mother just like left town,
- 1:06:26basically, without telling her. So she get back to.
- 1:06:29She got the money after she got the money.
- 1:06:31Yeah, right. I think I've have very mixed
- 1:06:36feelings about this because I'd like to think as a, as a like,
- 1:06:40if I was a mother no matter how much we were struggling, we're
- 1:06:44going to war. If you did this to my kid like
- 1:06:47this is not okay, it would Sign off on it.
- 1:06:49But then second of all, it's like, okay, well let's take a
- 1:06:53step back, okay. What if we accept this money, we
- 1:06:55can get you out of here. We can transfer you to a new
- 1:06:57school. We can get you help with this
- 1:06:59money but to just strapped abandon her.
- 1:07:02Yeah. Like, how awful?
- 1:07:04Yeah. That just shows, I guess her
- 1:07:06mother didn't really care about her either, so and then like,
- 1:07:11she's such a kind person for being able to like Drop things
- 1:07:14off at her mother. I don't know if she's planning
- 1:07:17revenge on her mom because She is on her little board, but
- 1:07:20yeah. She's bringing her like
- 1:07:22groceries and stuff and like trying to like take care of her.
- 1:07:25So I'm like, what's the plan there?
- 1:07:29Because like I feel like mom deserves some Karma as well.
- 1:07:34I don't know. I mean mom also seems like she
- 1:07:36still even with that money. She took down bad so it doesn't
- 1:07:39seem like she's doing good for yourself or if she has some
- 1:07:43reason to be spending the money elsewhere.
- 1:07:45Yeah. But then after all that
- 1:07:47basically, like I said she basically starts doing like odd
- 1:07:52also like some part time job. So I first we see her working at
- 1:07:54a diner and then like cleaning a bathhouse.
- 1:07:56And and then of course, contemplating suicide again or I
- 1:08:01think she's at like A river. One of the rivers that's over
- 1:08:05there because I know she talks about, like, you know, it's
- 1:08:07still winter on the time. So like I can just go into this
- 1:08:10water and like, freeze this. I know she says something like
- 1:08:13this so hard and it just be over.
- 1:08:15Yeah. And a second and then basically,
- 1:08:19towards the end of like episode 1, we see dong geun after she,
- 1:08:24like dropped out and everything. She goes back to the gym where
- 1:08:27the bullies are and she confronts them and I think she
- 1:08:31acts as them what their dreams. Hazard.
- 1:08:33And so, that's when like, hey, Jung says, hers is a steward.
- 1:08:36Assad has to be a painter, jae-joon to own a golf club.
- 1:08:42Young girl. Just says he wants to be rich,
- 1:08:44and then, yo, you engines like I'm already wealthy enough so
- 1:08:48like, I just want to get married and have a kid, maybe dudes,
- 1:08:50like a small job. It doesn't take much effort on
- 1:08:54my part and then that's when Douglas is like, her dream is
- 1:08:58yeojin. So that's where we kind of see.
- 1:09:00The crack is even after that, she started to know laughs,
- 1:09:03Being a little bit. And then that's when we see her
- 1:09:07like, you know, working at the factory she while she was at the
- 1:09:11factory. She was studying and it took her
- 1:09:15gdd. I really appreciated that.
- 1:09:19She did that though. Like she didn't just completely
- 1:09:21leave education. Listen, if anything that revenge
- 1:09:25is going to do, it's going to motivate you.
- 1:09:27So like she and she's very smart.
- 1:09:30So that Revenge definitely pushed her to not only not give
- 1:09:35up on her. A life, but do other things as
- 1:09:37well. So yeah, I do want to say
- 1:09:40though, like when she was living in that that room I guess the
- 1:09:45girl that she would always, like, run into, I'm glad she had
- 1:09:48that. Whenever she would like come
- 1:09:51back home or whenever she was like, studying the hallway,
- 1:09:54unless she had like some sort of positive interaction throughout
- 1:09:56it all me, too. So that was episode one guys.
- 1:10:03Okay, so we're going to move on to episode 2.
- 1:10:06So when I was watching this, I didn't realize like we're some
- 1:10:13reason. When I was when I watch the
- 1:10:14first time. I missed a lot, especially all
- 1:10:16the stuff I said in episode one. I didn't realize was happening.
- 1:10:19So what episode 2? I guess, it starts off when
- 1:10:22they're adults, but the year is 2012.
- 1:10:25So in 2012, like I said, in the first episode, she finished like
- 1:10:29Our degree and everything, she actually ended up leaving the
- 1:10:33factory. She was working in to start
- 1:10:35becoming a teacher because that's what she was studying to
- 1:10:38be and going to college. So we basically open it up to
- 1:10:41her dongwoon, looking up the bullies and their lives through
- 1:10:45Facebook. When we all use Facebook, guys,
- 1:10:48you know, it's 2012. And then so we see where the
- 1:10:52bullies are and their life. So yo, Joon young Jin iy, say
- 1:10:56yeojin you own gym Becomes a weather person.
- 1:11:01She's a very famous well-known like weather girl.
- 1:11:06I don't know if the actual terminology, what our weather
- 1:11:09people called what is their field of study that it was m in
- 1:11:13meteorologist. Yes.
- 1:11:15And I'm sure I'm surprised. She is a bitter all just because
- 1:11:17I'm sure she did not go to school for it.
- 1:11:19So again, I'm sure she bought her way into that.
- 1:11:23I'm trip results. You need to go to school for
- 1:11:25meteorologist. I think so.
- 1:11:28Yeah, I think she did actually but it was just like an easy
- 1:11:32Road. It wasn't like a fight.
- 1:11:35Yeah, I don't know how easy it is to be a meteorologist, but
- 1:11:38that's what she is. She needed a college degree for
- 1:11:41her perfect life. You know that's that's true
- 1:11:45about like which people like nice schools with nice degrees
- 1:11:50on there like resumes. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 1:11:53So not as she said that. Yeah I get that especially over
- 1:11:56there like schools very And over there.
- 1:11:59So, He a drunk became a flight attendant like she said jae-joon
- 1:12:08of course is still rich. I know I thought he just owned
- 1:12:13the clothing store but I guess he also really does own a
- 1:12:17prestigious golf club over there.
- 1:12:19Which I was confused about the first time I washed it but then
- 1:12:21I realized that the second time from his family which he didn't
- 1:12:24he might of it's just like manages it now but he does
- 1:12:30probably. Somehow created that clothing
- 1:12:33store that he owns Sada is actually a painter and she must
- 1:12:41get that from her money because you don't have to do anything
- 1:12:43else. But she actually is a
- 1:12:44surprisingly, a really good painter.
- 1:12:47And then beyond go is Tates weed dealer as far as well as other
- 1:12:52drugs. And like, like I said, earlier,
- 1:12:55James personal assistant basically and I don't know if
- 1:12:59they emphasized, I saw Donna takes.
- 1:13:01Other drugs because especially later on that will get into when
- 1:13:06she going to goes through like withdrawals.
- 1:13:08I'm like I hope they're not stigmatizing weed because you
- 1:13:11don't go through withdrawals like this just off.
- 1:13:13We'd so I think she does other drugs.
- 1:13:17What That was just my thought process.
- 1:13:20It's not just the weed, guys. If anything, the cigarettes and
- 1:13:23alcohol is a lot worse than weed, almost just say it, but He
- 1:13:29continued. And then it's also interesting
- 1:13:31that we learn through this whole thing.
- 1:13:35Now I don't know how long they've been doing this, but we
- 1:13:38also find out that jae-joon and yeojin having sleepy together.
- 1:13:43We actually cut to a scene where they're like having sex and his
- 1:13:48office which I guess it's nears. The fitting room isn't the
- 1:13:52actual. It's benefiting the fitting
- 1:13:57rooms are out of order. Right now, all this Shameless, I
- 1:14:01thought his office was just next to the fitting room?
- 1:14:03No. Oh God, wish I did.
- 1:14:07I need to get used to sex scenes in Korean dramas because I was
- 1:14:10like, whoa, right? I wasn't really expecting that.
- 1:14:12Yeah, notice. That's becoming a very popular
- 1:14:16thing. Nowadays, it's like know the
- 1:14:19reason why I watch kdramas is to avoid that, but I mean, I do,
- 1:14:23it's prevalent in their movies, just not their dramas, so It's
- 1:14:29really only that one time. It's like, it doesn't really
- 1:14:31happen again. Yeah, it's not like when I
- 1:14:34watched that show somebody. So, this is a lot more
- 1:14:38toned-down than in. Somebody just say, like, just
- 1:14:43sake. But obviously, she's like
- 1:14:46cheating, because once they're done having sex, he had
- 1:14:50mediately axis. Her, this is before she got
- 1:14:52married. How is the wedding plans going?
- 1:14:54So she's engaged around this time, but she still sleeping
- 1:14:58with him. Him and I don't know how long
- 1:14:59they've been sleeping together. It doesn't say like when they
- 1:15:02started but there's obviously been while honestly, I might
- 1:15:04have even started. Maybe like After High School.
- 1:15:07Could have been around the college, something like that.
- 1:15:11Where they together in high school, I don't think they were
- 1:15:14dating. I don't think so.
- 1:15:16I think they were just a friend of group because doesn't he?
- 1:15:20Like lie down on her lap and say like ask her something?
- 1:15:23Or is that different people? It might have been them but I
- 1:15:25don't think they were ever dating.
- 1:15:27I remember that scene I It was them and she she had asked him
- 1:15:32when I thought it was the other guy, cuz whichever one like
- 1:15:36forcefully, kissed her like it's a color blind guy.
- 1:15:41Wait, who's my guy is jae-joon? Yeah, I'm saying, whoever like
- 1:15:46put their mouth on her mouth in that one scene.
- 1:15:49She that's like asking him if he found those kind of girls
- 1:15:54attractive that scene. So I don't know.
- 1:15:57I assumed that she was talking to who for that person was when
- 1:16:00you say forcing kissing, are you talking about Force kissing
- 1:16:02donggun? Yes, his that was me on go and
- 1:16:06you know because that's when he started getting tattoos because
- 1:16:09they emphasize the tattoo on his neck, which I have no idea what
- 1:16:11it says but in high school jae-joon was a little bit more
- 1:16:16quieter, which I think made him more scarier as we see when he
- 1:16:20becomes an adult. It's always the quiet.
- 1:16:23They always say, it's The Quiet Ones, guys.
- 1:16:25We say that we made it. But yeah, so in high school my
- 1:16:31uncle was the one that was more like file it and forceful.
- 1:16:34Not that like jejune wasn't evil.
- 1:16:37Also, because little later episode, we see like a flashback
- 1:16:40of how he tormented dong-hoon, but he was just more like, quiet
- 1:16:43about it or like, did it privately.
- 1:16:45So, even away from everyone else, and then it was also
- 1:16:51interesting when they do that because she also said something
- 1:16:56about like she acts as him or she tells him let her know if he
- 1:17:02ever actually wants to get married because she doesn't like
- 1:17:04sharing. I'm like ma'am you are engaged
- 1:17:08what are you talking about? You don't like Sheree cage to
- 1:17:13last different me. I said double standard.
- 1:17:17They belong together they belong together but also this episodes
- 1:17:22we officially We meet our second lead Jew, yo Jang, they end up
- 1:17:29both being in the ER he got into some type of fight.
- 1:17:33I don't know what fight it is with their beds are next to each
- 1:17:35other and then we also learn like what I can clean up.
- 1:17:39That is it, he considered the second lead I thought he was the
- 1:17:43first lead for all or all these bullies.
- 1:17:46The first leads, I don't know idea what I only call them the
- 1:17:52second. I don't know because this is she
- 1:17:56the first weed? How does how does the
- 1:17:58terminology work? So dongle?
- 1:18:02And I think is the first lead because it's the story is about
- 1:18:04her. It's about her.
- 1:18:06I figure. He was a secondly because I feel
- 1:18:08like they're setting it up to him.
- 1:18:09Beastly being her love interest. I mean he already says like he
- 1:18:13has a crush on her. He's the most useless part of
- 1:18:15this story. Sorry.
- 1:18:16I said it for part one at least. We learn later.
- 1:18:25He has a dark side himself, know he nice ass.
- 1:18:28You can tell he kind of does based of like the hints that
- 1:18:31they gave about his story. But I just like feel like for
- 1:18:33her story like he what part does he play?
- 1:18:36He doesn't need to be there. He taught her how to play Go,
- 1:18:40which is essential to, okay? And they could have just ended
- 1:18:43it right there but like he doesn't like if they removed his
- 1:18:46character, that story would not have changed.
- 1:18:50Also, I will fight you with this a little.
- 1:18:52I didn't think his Do you think he's a little bit necessary?
- 1:18:55Because honestly, out of everybody in the Revenge story?
- 1:18:59Besides the woman that ends up helping her who catches her
- 1:19:04sympathetic towards her. Like, I understand that, but I'm
- 1:19:07just saying it shouldn't. It shouldn't have been like a
- 1:19:09romantic thing. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:19:11I agree to their romantic thing but I also think he brings her
- 1:19:15like grounds her in a way. You know, we're kind of reminds
- 1:19:18her like there are some good things like he brings her out of
- 1:19:22her revenge in a way. Because Mexicans, this was
- 1:19:25planned but I do think he brings that like I don't want to say
- 1:19:29human side, but like reminds her that like even though she's
- 1:19:32going with this plan, whether it ends up like with all them dead
- 1:19:35or something, like she is not just a monster, she's not just
- 1:19:38her revenge. She can find some type of light
- 1:19:41and this horrific life that has been tormenting her since high
- 1:19:44school. So I do think in that sense.
- 1:19:47He's necessary. Do I think there needs to be
- 1:19:49Bromance? Probably not.
- 1:19:50But you know how anti-romantic I am?
- 1:19:53What besides that? I do think he's necessary.
- 1:19:58Now that could have been such a beautiful friendship Arc.
- 1:20:00If they had chosen to do that, I don't think it needed to be
- 1:20:03romantic. Listen, you know.
- 1:20:07Anyway, I was just going to say that for me, it's like they'd
- 1:20:10even though he likes her, it doesn't necessarily have to go
- 1:20:13down that road. The she could reject him, they
- 1:20:15just be friends, but at the same time, I, I like that.
- 1:20:19They've given her someone that just truly, Is on her side.
- 1:20:24I think she needs to. Yeah.
- 1:20:26And like at the very end is when more so that she reveals to him
- 1:20:29like her scars and her plan, I was such a strong seen a and I
- 1:20:35feel like he will be more crucial in part 2.
- 1:20:38They kind of just, like, set his story line up on how they met
- 1:20:41and everything and how he took a good person for her to have just
- 1:20:46emotionally support wise. I feel like she has been has
- 1:20:50been introduced to so many people in her life.
- 1:20:52Just suck that. It she Somebody by her side,
- 1:20:55that's going to treat her properly.
- 1:20:57So I I like him. I think he's necessary because
- 1:20:59like, you just you, I cannot do that alone.
- 1:21:03Like it's going to take a toll on you, and if she has a one
- 1:21:06person on her side, who can help her with this, besides the lady,
- 1:21:10but she's technically paying that lady.
- 1:21:11I know that lady is being a kind to her and she's being kind of
- 1:21:15Vice Versa but she's technically paying her for doing those
- 1:21:19things where I think he is brighter.
- 1:21:22Die for her. What?
- 1:21:23It is awesome. I think she needs that support.
- 1:21:26So, and we're jumping because, like, even she told him, she's
- 1:21:30like, I don't need a prince charming.
- 1:21:31I mean, executor, so, when she's like, I was ready, I'm ready.
- 1:21:34I'll be your executor, actually, tell me where to go.
- 1:21:39Exactly. Tell me where, to show up.
- 1:21:42Tell me where to pull up. I'm ready.
- 1:21:44She's also a really dangerous situation.
- 1:21:46I mean, they've shown us that these people are dangerous.
- 1:21:49So having somebody on her side, that can help like get her out
- 1:21:52of things and protect her. I'm all for.
- 1:21:54Yes. So and then also in this second
- 1:21:58episode. So like I said, he's the one
- 1:21:59basically teaches her. How to play that game go, which
- 1:22:02we later realized is part of her revenge because it kind of time
- 1:22:08jumps throughout the second episode.
- 1:22:11So I can't tell what time were in but I know they say like in
- 1:22:142015 is when she actually passed her exam to be a teacher, and
- 1:22:18that's also the same year that Park.
- 1:22:21You legit actually gave birth to her daughter.
- 1:22:23So she gave birth in 2015. And then I did actually have
- 1:22:29like a question for you guys. And the second episode was,
- 1:22:31basically way. So we started seeing like, as
- 1:22:34adults. They start treating specially
- 1:22:37like yeojin and soda, and they're little, like, especially
- 1:22:40the three girls, their friend group, like, how they start
- 1:22:43treating. He ae-jong a little bit
- 1:22:46differently. So, I was just wondering how you
- 1:22:48guys think about that. This is why I called her again.
- 1:22:51If you ever seen the 2004 movie Mean Girls, the Gretchen of the
- 1:22:55group, because even I told her during this one confrontation,
- 1:22:59where I think they found out that like, Yay, John was saying
- 1:23:02something about their past and like she was telling her like,
- 1:23:05hey, cool, it don't talk about high school times because things
- 1:23:09get revealed about our bully, but she tells her that, like if
- 1:23:13dongle wasn't here, then like you would have been here later
- 1:23:16than hurtling you. So you can kind of see that even
- 1:23:20in high school tube like, when before dong, goo shows up like
- 1:23:25at the last second. And at the gym when she's
- 1:23:27already expelled, like they're telling her like to go, run
- 1:23:30errands. Like I think they tell her to go
- 1:23:32like run and go get some milk and she does try to find back a
- 1:23:35little like thinking is being playful, but then she really
- 1:23:37likes to Serious. Like she shuts up immediately
- 1:23:40and goes, it gets to thing until don't even shows up at the gym.
- 1:23:44But still, I just wanted your thoughts of how quickly those
- 1:23:48two turned on her. Well, I don't know if you
- 1:23:49brought this up earlier, but before don't want they did this
- 1:23:54to other girls too. Yes.
- 1:23:56There Our other girls before her.
- 1:23:59Yeah, and then Donald for some reason was the one that stuck
- 1:24:02because she actually fought back another one as well that we'll
- 1:24:04talk about later. The reason why they stopped with
- 1:24:07her but yes, for some reason I think because don't know stand
- 1:24:11up for herself, they're like, oh, we're going to break her.
- 1:24:14So that's when I stuck with her, the most.
- 1:24:18But again, I just wanted to know your opinions of how quickly.
- 1:24:23They're willing to turn on one of their friends, you know, I
- 1:24:27don't even know if your Jannah actually consider these girls
- 1:24:31her friends. Anyway, I don't think they were
- 1:24:33really friends with her though. Like she was just, I guess they
- 1:24:35just let her stay because she was like a fluid and up, I
- 1:24:39guess. But like, I don't think they
- 1:24:41were really friends because if there was anyone that they would
- 1:24:44sacrifice, it would be her. It also seemed like she had her
- 1:24:46own privileges not because like riches or anything, but like
- 1:24:50because she was pretty special. We in high school like we said
- 1:24:53about like the gym teacher earlier so able to get them
- 1:24:58favors and other ways besides money.
- 1:25:00I think it's like it's like a pack system, you know, you have
- 1:25:03your like leaders and whatnot. And they always need somebody to
- 1:25:07be the punching bag. So like if they are without one,
- 1:25:11the lowest member of the pack is going to become that just
- 1:25:16because they're like power trippy you know, they have to be
- 1:25:18like over somebody. So I think she just Falls the
- 1:25:21shortest For like being able to be picked on in my opinion
- 1:25:26though. I think.
- 1:25:28What's his name? The one who forced himself on
- 1:25:32tonglen, we all owe the one who ends up being an errand boy.
- 1:25:36As an adult name is me llamo Miguel.
- 1:25:39I don't think he would be the lowest just because he just has
- 1:25:43less to offer now. Oh yeah, he is.
- 1:25:47But he straight-up disappears at one point, so she's basically,
- 1:25:49like, you own. Yeah, it's, it's yeojin
- 1:25:54basically yong-jin basically, at the top, she's like the queen
- 1:25:58bee. She probably jejune, second
- 1:26:02Sada. Yeah, Jang.
- 1:26:05And then Bianca. Oh, that's what it seems like it
- 1:26:07is as far as the raking in that group.
- 1:26:09So, but then, yes, and then, basically, at the end, this is
- 1:26:14when we get introduced to the woman, conky own Nam were, and
- 1:26:19then I completely missed this the first time.
- 1:26:20She basically confronts donggun, because she sees her going
- 1:26:25through the trash of Park, Yeon Jin because Surprise surprise.
- 1:26:31The revenge is so deep that she moved into an apartment that is
- 1:26:37literally right across the street from her house so she can
- 1:26:41like spy on her when she's at the rooftop and everything.
- 1:26:44So, I was like, dang, that's insane.
- 1:26:46Also, it's just insane. How an apartment complex is that
- 1:26:49close to a house, but I'm sure that's just the way their land
- 1:26:52is set up. Yeah, but yeah, she was like
- 1:26:57surprised she didn't notice at all whatsoever.
- 1:27:01She just needs to be in our own world.
- 1:27:03I'm not sure maybe she's good at hiding.
- 1:27:05I'm not. I don't know.
- 1:27:06Because how do you not notice? Someone staring.
- 1:27:08I don't know. Yeah, well I don't think they
- 1:27:11can see here. I don't know how far away the
- 1:27:13apartment is and she was mostly doing it at night.
- 1:27:16So I suppose, especially if she didn't know, don't one was
- 1:27:20around like she didn't know she was around.
- 1:27:26Because I think she went to college somewhere else and she
- 1:27:28end up when she got approved to live in that apartment.
- 1:27:30She moved there. So, if you're unaware of
- 1:27:33somebody, you're not going to be paying attention.
- 1:27:38But after meeting Colin Kill Nam Shi base.
- 1:27:42He's like, I've seen you going through their trash like for the
- 1:27:45past six months and she's like I won't turn you in or say
- 1:27:48anything if you kill my husband. So we end episode 2 and then
- 1:27:55episode 3 basis of a new alliance Forum.
- 1:27:58Yes as a new alliance Forum. So episode 3 basically opens up
- 1:28:01to the daughter of Khan Kyo Nam she's on her phone and I put I
- 1:28:06think she's basically Looking up like juvenile acts.
- 1:28:10And then we see basically, the reason why I can kill Nam asks,
- 1:28:13if dongle can kill her husband because he is abusive as hell.
- 1:28:17So this is where I get my facts school time was Simone, my
- 1:28:22Juvenile and Korean facts. So this was wild to me and the
- 1:28:29other calls I found our recent. So what I learned about the
- 1:28:32juvenile system in Korea because I was really interested in this
- 1:28:35apparently, children, who are The age of 10 and in the article
- 1:28:40is says, between eight and nine internationally, but I don't
- 1:28:43know how it's going to change since they're getting rid of the
- 1:28:46Korean system this year. So I don't know how those ages
- 1:28:50are going to change, but basically, if you're under the
- 1:28:52age of 10 in South Korea, you will not be punished even if
- 1:28:57they commit a crime. So any child under the age of
- 1:29:0010? Whatever crime they commit they
- 1:29:03will not be punished for it. They can probably commit
- 1:29:06straight up murder. They will not be punished for
- 1:29:08it. They won't be punished for any
- 1:29:10think. This is why?
- 1:29:13The daughter said what she said. Thank you.
- 1:29:18I'm sorry. Yeah, the older, yeah.
- 1:29:23I don't actually know how old she is.
- 1:29:24She's definitely older the dead, but she was confident though,
- 1:29:28she was confident, so in juveniles between the ages.
- 1:29:32So, like older than 10 to 14 again.
- 1:29:35This is between 12 and Internationally, but I'm sure
- 1:29:38it'll change, they're not subject to any single criminal
- 1:29:41punishment, they'll only be subject to protective measures
- 1:29:44such as juvenile detention or probation.
- 1:29:46So, that is probably why she was confident because she didn't see
- 1:29:52many older maybe than, like, 14 15.
- 1:29:55And if she did do anything, she might get like juvenile
- 1:29:59detention or probation. And I actually found a real life
- 1:30:03example in that article. So I guess back in 19th of
- 1:30:07December and the city Goodie and the gido province.
- 1:30:12There was a fifth-grade girl that stabbed another girl to
- 1:30:16death and was only Severus two years in juvenile prison.
- 1:30:21And because around the time she did, it was to choose between
- 1:30:24the age of 10 and 13. So she only served two years in
- 1:30:29prison for killing somebody, stabbing them to death.
- 1:30:36Yeah, and then juveniles between the age of 14, and 19 years old
- 1:30:43will be subjected to protective criminal protective and criminal
- 1:30:49justice positions. However they still can't be
- 1:30:52sentenced to more than 20 years in prison even if they commit a
- 1:30:55violent crime under special circumstances.
- 1:30:59So that's just some facts as of now of how like a small glimpse
- 1:31:05of the do. And I'll system works in Korea
- 1:31:08which I know there's a lot of backlash for that especially I
- 1:31:11guess since crime in juveniles are going up.
- 1:31:16So yeah. Okay, um, but yeah, so don't go
- 1:31:25basically hires conch. You'll nam in this episode to
- 1:31:28help with the revenge, and then she makes a promise like,
- 1:31:33basically, she'll help instead of killing her husband.
- 1:31:36She's not ready for all that just yet.
- 1:31:38I don't know if she ever will. Do you think that she will
- 1:31:40actually kill the husband? May see, I think she's actually
- 1:31:44gonna kill him or if she's gonna just like, I could see her
- 1:31:49framing him for something and putting him in jail forever.
- 1:31:52Like that? I could see, or having somebody
- 1:31:54else kill him. I don't know.
- 1:31:56I don't think she's only. She capable of killing someone.
- 1:31:59I'd like to think she isn't so happy will see you in part 2.
- 1:32:03But yeah, but in exchange, she does offer since she is a
- 1:32:07teacher and went to school for teaching to help her daughter
- 1:32:10with school. So then also, in this episode,
- 1:32:14this is where we learn. That yeojin is hiding a secret
- 1:32:18About her daughter from the husband, which is crazy.
- 1:32:22So high, a soul actually has a disability.
- 1:32:29Which we later find out is color blindness, does it sound
- 1:32:32familiar? Because we set a specific person
- 1:32:34in their friend group has color blindness, but before we get
- 1:32:40into that, I think the bells are going when I saw that sign that
- 1:32:46said something about color. Blindness.
- 1:32:48I'm like, hold up. Now, what is happening here?
- 1:32:52Do not. Tell me what I'm thinking in my
- 1:32:55head, but I got some interesting facts about color blindness
- 1:33:01because I didn't know, did you know much about color blindness?
- 1:33:04Not really? I don't really know what causes
- 1:33:06it. If it's a genetic thing that
- 1:33:08you're just born with or if you can develop it.
- 1:33:10And just that people see in more of a grayscale, they can see
- 1:33:15some colors and there's different levels of it, but not,
- 1:33:18I'm gonna break your superstitious big.
- 1:33:21Welcome to Simone's class class of Simone.
- 1:33:25One of those anyway. So I got this from the national
- 1:33:28Eye Institute ssion. I'm assuming this is universal.
- 1:33:34But anyway, color blindness means that you see colored
- 1:33:37differently than most people. And you have trouble telling the
- 1:33:39difference between certain colors, how bright the colors
- 1:33:42are and the different shades of colors.
- 1:33:44So it actually is hereditary and it does run in the family.
- 1:33:47So you can only Only catch colorblindness.
- 1:33:50If it's something that's hereditary and your family men
- 1:33:53are at a higher risk than women. So it's more common that men
- 1:33:56have color blindness than women do and there is no cure for it.
- 1:34:00But they do have like special glasses and contacts that helps
- 1:34:03them to where it doesn't affect them too much in their everyday
- 1:34:06lives. So like we said, one character
- 1:34:09throughout the show, we see, he puts in certain contacts, I
- 1:34:12think to help them with the color blindness.
- 1:34:15And there are actually three different types of color
- 1:34:17blindness. So, The first one is the most
- 1:34:19common one, which is red green, and they have trouble seeing the
- 1:34:23different types between red and green and there's four types of
- 1:34:27red green color blindness, but I didn't write all that down.
- 1:34:30Just let you know, the big umbrella bread green, most
- 1:34:33common you have trouble differentiating between the
- 1:34:36colors, red and green. And then the second one, which
- 1:34:40is the least common is blue yellow.
- 1:34:43So it makes it hard to tell the difference between blue and
- 1:34:47green. Green and yellow, and red, and
- 1:34:50there's actually two types of blue-green blindness.
- 1:34:53And when I was researching this and watching the show, I
- 1:34:56actually think I don't know about him, but I think the
- 1:34:59little girl has this one. I think ye Sol has I'm a
- 1:35:04mispronounces trade to Trenton. No, no Pia.
- 1:35:10Oh, God, may. See.
- 1:35:11If I spelled this for you, do you think you could help me?
- 1:35:17I can try T RI ta n o p IA. Can you text it to me?
- 1:35:29Yeah, I know. It's try something.
- 1:35:35Try. And Opia.
- 1:35:42That's how you spell it. Yeah, I would say, try to know
- 1:35:45Pia, tries to know Pia, okay? So I think this is the one.
- 1:35:49If you watch it once, I explain it to you.
- 1:35:51Like if you go back and re-watch it that she has because it makes
- 1:35:55you unable to tell the difference between blue and
- 1:35:57green purple and red and yellow and pink and it also makes
- 1:36:02colors look less bright. So, from watching it, I think
- 1:36:06that's what she has. I don't know about homeboy but I
- 1:36:11think this is what the little girl.
- 1:36:12Has and the last one, which is like the most rare of the mall,
- 1:36:17the most uncommon out of the three is complete color
- 1:36:20blindness, which is also called Mono, kermis monochromacy.
- 1:36:27And this one also affects like your ability to seeing clearly
- 1:36:32and like having an extra senses tivity to life.
- 1:36:35That's the one where I think most people think of, when they
- 1:36:38think of color blindness where you can't see color at all,
- 1:36:40that's actually the most rare one.
- 1:36:43Yeah, I knew there were multiple levels of it.
- 1:36:45I wasn't I wasn't sure of like what exactly but I knew that
- 1:36:49like some people can see certain colors and then others could see
- 1:36:52like nothing in her whatever. So and yeah, that's interesting.
- 1:36:58Yeah. I'm very colors are important
- 1:37:00because it's going to affect a lot of other things that you see
- 1:37:02as well. It's not just those four colors.
- 1:37:05Yeah and we see especially throughout the show we see her
- 1:37:07struggling with that a little bit and her mom tries to tell
- 1:37:11her like to keep it a secret but I Mean, it's hard, she's a kid.
- 1:37:14So I know that one scene got to meet.
- 1:37:17We're like she was at the Crosswalk and she was looking at
- 1:37:22like the sign and she couldn't tell the difference between like
- 1:37:25the colors of like, went across the street and we're not to I'm
- 1:37:27happy. She did it.
- 1:37:29But that's just showed like she was struggling.
- 1:37:32Prey, even think I would assume that people who can't tell just
- 1:37:35know like which one it is, you know.
- 1:37:38Like when it's on like top one means y'all but I want me to
- 1:37:41slow down bottom one needs stop. But yeah I remember if their
- 1:37:45lights are different, I'm sure they are in are so yeah, I'm
- 1:37:51sure they teach you about like, the lights.
- 1:37:54But then again, like I said, I don't know if the other two have
- 1:37:57not. Yeah known yet.
- 1:38:01I don't know if they affect your your ability to see light as
- 1:38:04well. Like the last one.
- 1:38:06I'm sure then you could you might not be able to tell which
- 1:38:08one it is at all. That's even lit up.
- 1:38:12So and then, another thing that I just wrote is that this is
- 1:38:15also when dong geun and we all go basically meet back up, she
- 1:38:21mysteriously shows up at the clothing store, just randomly
- 1:38:25quotations. And then they basically start, I
- 1:38:30say like she manipulates him, he seems very gullible and like
- 1:38:36easily swayed to like start working together.
- 1:38:39So like he basically starts working for da Moon.
- 1:38:41You to get hurt Revenge. Yeah and this is also what we
- 1:38:46learned about. Go ahead.
- 1:38:49I'm just kidding. Whoever has the highest bid is
- 1:38:51who he's going to go with. I don't think he has any way.
- 1:38:54I don't think so either but then this is also what she brings up
- 1:38:57the former student yeo-eun. So he which we talk about they
- 1:39:01bullied others before. But we bring up that character
- 1:39:06because I was like, I think the person they're bullying before
- 1:39:10dong-geun, and it was always rumored that like she killed
- 1:39:13herself, but then like, I think the thing that got younger
- 1:39:16because he's like, well, what if I told you she actually didn't
- 1:39:19kill herself. What if I know that she was
- 1:39:22murdered and I witnessed it. And that gets them interested
- 1:39:27because he's like, which one of the four possibly could be the
- 1:39:30murderer. I'm curious to know if she Is
- 1:39:36telling him the truth? Yeah, I mean like part of me was
- 1:39:40like, is did that really happen? Not not that she did not kill,
- 1:39:46like, kill herself, but that she was, I believe that she was
- 1:39:48murdered, but I wonder if, like, part of her strategy is throwing
- 1:39:53him off or if he was, she was honest with him.
- 1:39:56You know, about who did it. Yeah.
- 1:39:58Because I know there is a scene we do that, she's not going to
- 1:40:01get her hands dirty, like she's going to manipulate other people
- 1:40:04to do things for her to do her work for.
- 1:40:06For her. Yeah, I mean I would be happy
- 1:40:10with her going to jail is murder if they can prove that but I
- 1:40:14just some part of me is like I wonder if she is playing a card
- 1:40:18here and maybe she's not telling him the full truth so that he
- 1:40:21you know, because she doesn't want him to succeed either.
- 1:40:24Like why would she just give him information that he could
- 1:40:26potentially use against her like, without her being
- 1:40:29involved? I guess.
- 1:40:30I don't know. I just had a weird feeling that
- 1:40:33maybe he wasn't telling him the truth.
- 1:40:36I don't know because you could also see, like, I don't think he
- 1:40:38questions it too much because, like, as he's telling her that,
- 1:40:41I think he, I mean, yes, he's like, he has no loyalty, but
- 1:40:45he's not that dumb either. Like, he could tell, like, she
- 1:40:49knows other stuff that can potentially harm him as well.
- 1:40:53So, and I mean, I'm pretty sure she killed him so because we see
- 1:40:59her shoes, but I don't think she killed him, you know.
- 1:41:04She didn't know he'll even went missing, remember, but you see
- 1:41:07her shoes walking away from him on the ground?
- 1:41:10Because I didn't think that was her shoes.
- 1:41:13I thought they were like, hinting that side.
- 1:41:15I might have done it. No, I those are her shoes.
- 1:41:18She originally has them and then you see her, like, wait, are you
- 1:41:23talking about? Donald, are you talking about
- 1:41:26young Jin? Yeojin, okay.
- 1:41:28For some reason, I thought you were talking about donggun.
- 1:41:31Yes, we are track those green. You know, their names, super
- 1:41:35good. So you're fine.
- 1:41:37You're gonna have to like, just say, like, the the leader or
- 1:41:40whatever. Tell me cause I'm so confused.
- 1:41:43We see her shoes walking away from him on the ground and then
- 1:41:46she's cleaning them later on and she got like that inner injury
- 1:41:49on her foot. So I would assume that it's her
- 1:41:53that kills him. So is she a double murderer now
- 1:41:59or somebody else? Wearing her shoes?
- 1:42:01But she has the injury on her foot.
- 1:42:03So I'm pretty sure it was her. Or was she there alone?
- 1:42:06Did she do it alone? Did she?
- 1:42:07Maybe just kick him is like a fuck you at the end or left?
- 1:42:11So, I don't know. I just had a weird feeling that
- 1:42:13she wouldn't give him such Vital Information.
- 1:42:16Like she wouldn't trust him with that because she knows that he's
- 1:42:18not loyal. So I wouldn't it wouldn't
- 1:42:20surprise me if there was a Twist of events on who actually did
- 1:42:23the pushing this button enough things like I also feel like she
- 1:42:26is also one of the ones that wouldn't really get her hands
- 1:42:29dirty because like again, we're jumping around.
- 1:42:32It's like where those two guys that Cape from use being a
- 1:42:35pretty badly. I don't think she was able to
- 1:42:37beat him up that badly just by herself.
- 1:42:40Yeah it's like those two guys that shit here.
- 1:42:42That's why it's like I think I was waiting for you, keep going,
- 1:42:48I'm sorry, I was done. I just that's what I mean.
- 1:42:50Like I'm not so sure that she would get her hands dirty, but
- 1:42:53we know she was there and that's why I think maybe she just like
- 1:42:56helped her kicked him out of frustration.
- 1:42:58And that's how she got injured and why her shoes would have
- 1:43:02been bloody and she's definitely there.
- 1:43:05And she could have been there on the rooftop as well because she
- 1:43:06did lose her badge like her name tag.
- 1:43:09So she got it from somewhere. I just don't, I don't know if I
- 1:43:13buy her actually doing the physical act.
- 1:43:16Just because of the way she works, you know, like she
- 1:43:19doesn't really do the burning either.
- 1:43:21She just orders and watches? Yeah, I mean kind of like how
- 1:43:26you said. She gets other people likes
- 1:43:28playing Mastermind. Yes, he doesn't want to get her
- 1:43:32actual hands. Dirty, listen.
- 1:43:33We set this at the very beginning before we started
- 1:43:35talking about the show women are scary.
- 1:43:37Yeah, no. I was very, but that's that's,
- 1:43:40that's all I meant by like, I don't know if I believe her
- 1:43:44telling him that only because I think, Think that she's smart
- 1:43:47enough to know not to give him such high value information that
- 1:43:50I get back. I mean, I can give him all the
- 1:43:53information either. Because I mean, she's he has to
- 1:43:55work for it as he does, Jaws for donggun.
- 1:44:00Yeah. Like I'm obviously that was like
- 1:44:01too easy for him to like know like the main thing.
- 1:44:05Oh, she's actually a birdurer like so we'll see how that plays
- 1:44:10out. But, and the shoes that may see
- 1:44:12you're talking about is that like at the beginning that Like
- 1:44:16green yeojin husband, / gifts like a present to her basically
- 1:44:22because he's all rich and stuff, some like green high heels or
- 1:44:26when she works. Yeah.
- 1:44:30And they have this big like Stone on top of them which
- 1:44:33obviously cut her when she was at.
- 1:44:36I would assume that she kicked him.
- 1:44:38That's what my guess is. Yeah.
- 1:44:40And she's also very different with her husband, and we see her
- 1:44:43with anyone else. So it's like it's interesting
- 1:44:46how? How she can like flip that as
- 1:44:47well as like, she also playing her husband because her husband
- 1:44:50thinks she's one thing. I mean I think he has like hint
- 1:44:54and again the husband's not dumb.
- 1:44:56I'm surprised he put a lot of things together so quickly you
- 1:44:59just quiet about it, right? I also like I don't know how I
- 1:45:03feel about him because obviously he's married to a psychopath but
- 1:45:08he's also Rich. I'm sure he has some type of
- 1:45:10psychopaths of him as well. Yeah, well he, but he listens to
- 1:45:16What does it do? It do.
- 1:45:16It would remind me of the main character's name again so I can
- 1:45:19actually say her name. Don't run, don't run.
- 1:45:24Yeah. Okay.
- 1:45:25So he listens to her side of it first, like that's kind of that
- 1:45:32was kind of odd to me. Like I think I was expecting him
- 1:45:34to go to his spouse first, but he like listens to her side
- 1:45:38first before he, what that displays in Tulsa, things were
- 1:45:42like even before that like you can already see, he doesn't
- 1:45:45really seem to To trust his wife, because there's little
- 1:45:48things that she does and I think breaks her character as like the
- 1:45:51sweet housewife that he notices, especially with the daughter.
- 1:45:56Yeah, and then when he starts putting pieces together about
- 1:45:59their daughter, I think is when he really starts losing trust in
- 1:46:02her. So and then like, hey I don't
- 1:46:05really know much about your friends or things like that X.
- 1:46:09Like, is he going to stand by her?
- 1:46:10Or is he gonna get out before things get hairy?
- 1:46:14I don't know. We'll see.
- 1:46:16Yeah, so I didn't write much for episode 4 but basically it's
- 1:46:20just like anytime anyone brings up.
- 1:46:22Jay June's like color blindness. He turns into a different person
- 1:46:25of Rage. That's when I was like, oh, this
- 1:46:28man is actually very scary so especially that one team was
- 1:46:31like that one girl. I don't know if she was just
- 1:46:34like, I'll say, like an escort or something, or someone, he
- 1:46:38just picked up and like she's in the bathtub and he said
- 1:46:45something about her hair. There, she's like, it's red.
- 1:46:47What are you blind or something? Like, I was like, girl.
- 1:46:50Shut up, shut up. You're happy.
- 1:46:55You did it. You're so happy.
- 1:46:56He didn't grab your hair like smashed you into the bathtub,
- 1:47:00you just thread. You slightly put.
- 1:47:04Yeah, no, that's just, he can't just can't stand having an
- 1:47:07imperfection. So it's like if anybody pointed
- 1:47:10out even remotely, he's like, yeah, well, you're gonna die
- 1:47:13today. I'm going to say We open up that
- 1:47:17scene, I think when they're in high school and he's beating
- 1:47:19someone up like, almost to death.
- 1:47:21Be. I think they said something
- 1:47:22about his color blindness. So.
- 1:47:24Yeah. Because like when he's bleeding,
- 1:47:27he holds up his face. He's like, how, what color is
- 1:47:29this now? Can I not see?
- 1:47:30This is red or something like that.
- 1:47:32So I was like, oh, this he is the one we need to watch out for
- 1:47:36biggest insecurity, right? Wow.
- 1:47:39Which shouldn't be that much of insecurities, but then again,
- 1:47:42like we gave the statistics earlier, kids will mold You for
- 1:47:46anything? Yeah.
- 1:47:49He probably was worried that if he didn't keep it under wraps,
- 1:47:52he would be bullied himself even though he was an influential
- 1:47:55bully himself. Yeah, and come from power and
- 1:47:59money. So but then, I also wrote this
- 1:48:04one. I didn't take much in this
- 1:48:05episode, but also just opened my eyes bored.
- 1:48:10Just about, like, how they care about, like, reputation over
- 1:48:13there and, like social status because I didn't mention this
- 1:48:16earlier, because this is the scene where Took me a long time
- 1:48:20to realize that her son Bay and university is the son of the
- 1:48:26homeroom teacher. So, the whole scene where he,
- 1:48:30like, find out basically what his dad did and then like
- 1:48:35basically his dad died, I mean she is responsible for the
- 1:48:40flowers, I believe, but yes, he definitely let that happen.
- 1:48:46Like yeah, he didn't try to stop it.
- 1:48:48He didn't take the Hours away. He's like, listen, I'm a father
- 1:48:51myself. I am trying to get this one job.
- 1:48:54I've been studying my ass off for years.
- 1:48:56If anyone finds this out, you know, you're just going to have
- 1:48:59to go. I'll make sure your reputation
- 1:49:02stays intact, But You Gotta Go sir, I was like Dale, yeah
- 1:49:07rights, the switch to downright scary from how he goes, just
- 1:49:11standing over him watching him to then bawling like as they
- 1:49:14carry him into the ambulance. Okay, actor of the year.
- 1:49:21Oh my God, that scared me, he's like, oh my God, my dad,
- 1:49:25somebody help him. He's having an asthma attack in
- 1:49:28the back of his mind. He's like let this motherfucker
- 1:49:30die in the hospital like Jesus, me?
- 1:49:35Well, yes. The flowers were probably
- 1:49:37because of her but the reason he died was because of his own son.
- 1:49:41And I thought that was like, That was crazy, that all seem
- 1:49:46like, tripped me. And I don't know if that's
- 1:49:49because it don't go neither like I guess because she manipulated
- 1:49:53her way into getting to know him but I mean also shows like the
- 1:49:58sound had some type of empathy for someone being a victim of
- 1:50:02bullying especially finding out after his father like for his
- 1:50:07own reasons. But yeah, yes, that's true too.
- 1:50:13I don't know cause then like, you know what she was saying?
- 1:50:15All that at the beginning, before the whole scene happened,
- 1:50:18with all the flowers, when she was revealing it, and then like
- 1:50:22he was making a fuss, he only stopped his father because like
- 1:50:24the neighbors started coming out.
- 1:50:26Yeah, so I don't know what's Wild again.
- 1:50:29That's when it just shows me like, how reputation and social
- 1:50:32status and some circumstances are more important than like
- 1:50:36your own family Wild. What else did I have?
- 1:50:45Oh yeah. And I also like I think this is
- 1:50:46the episode. I like how like this gave me
- 1:50:49faith in the youth because I think this is the same episode
- 1:50:53were. Yeah.
- 1:50:54So basically puts yeojin in her place when she comes home from
- 1:50:58school because you know how yeojin finds out that don't lose
- 1:51:01like her homeroom teacher and she's like what is this girl
- 1:51:04going to do? She's worried about hurting your
- 1:51:06daughter which no matter how evil she is.
- 1:51:08I am glad that she actually seems to care about her.
- 1:51:12Child, she's not treating the child like her, mother treated
- 1:51:15her. So she Hearing in the cycle.
- 1:51:17In that sense the trip me up when she came home from school
- 1:51:21and she's like, oh, did your homeroom teacher do anything to
- 1:51:24you, did she hit you and her daughter looked at her.
- 1:51:27Like why would she do that? That's so mean.
- 1:51:29I'm like put your mother in place girl.
- 1:51:32Put her in place. I have faith in the youth.
- 1:51:35She's like that be so evil and someone did that bullying is
- 1:51:38wrong. I was like tell your mother yes
- 1:51:42okay. Okay, she still has no regrets.
- 1:51:44No regrets but still have faith in the daughter.
- 1:51:49I was like, oh God, thank you. I have.
- 1:51:52I have some type of faith in the youth.
- 1:51:56So I thought that was a great scene and her daughter doesn't
- 1:52:01even know half the things or like, even one percent of the
- 1:52:04thinks her mother this. Oh yeah.
- 1:52:07So on to episode 5. So this is the episode basically
- 1:52:10where we start seeing like I guess I put like the growth
- 1:52:14between he'll Nam and dongle and really for like kill Nam and how
- 1:52:17she sees don't even though she's like working for her.
- 1:52:23But I mean, I guess their relationship in a way, kind of
- 1:52:27grows a little bit. But then oh, I also put like the
- 1:52:33nerve and power that yeojin has to act at the school that her
- 1:52:38daughter goes to to see dong Goos resume.
- 1:52:41I'm like, you can just ask to see someone's resume to make
- 1:52:44sure they're qualified evil. The way she got into the school.
- 1:52:51you know, wasn't the best I mean, she's not the only person
- 1:52:57that probably does that. I'm sure a lot of people get
- 1:53:00into the positions through like, Secrets, threads family, you
- 1:53:04know, all that good steak in her case, it was justified because
- 1:53:07like, that's what that whole bully group does to begin with.
- 1:53:11Like it's not the end of the world if she does it.
- 1:53:15It's not. Oh yeah, and I did wrote down a
- 1:53:18question, kind of like a prediction for like part 2.
- 1:53:22I personally do not think this Will happen.
- 1:53:24I just want to ask you guys. Do you actually think don't own
- 1:53:27world hurt or put ya soul? And any type of like Harm's Way
- 1:53:31or dangerous part? Is her revenge?
- 1:53:33I don't think so, I don't think she will.
- 1:53:35I think she just is her goal, is to make our her mom feel like
- 1:53:42paranoid like torture her. Just that she's so close to her
- 1:53:45daughter, but I don't think she would ever hurt a child.
- 1:53:47She'll probably make it seem as if the daughter is like
- 1:53:51threaten, like, for example, remember when she was like
- 1:53:53peeking, The window and she like had like the scissors, but she
- 1:53:56did sirs. She might make it seem that way,
- 1:53:59but not actually hurt her. I don't think she would do that.
- 1:54:01Just to play with her mind like psychologically.
- 1:54:04I think so as well. So I would ever be able to see
- 1:54:07that her actually hurting her, but then also, we find out that
- 1:54:11this is when yeojin hires a private investigator, to get
- 1:54:15some information on doing them because she's like something
- 1:54:18suspicious, she's here for a reason and I need to find out
- 1:54:21before my past comes to lie. This is also I put a built-in
- 1:54:26board. We're like, okay, dramas are
- 1:54:29deceiving because we talked about it earlier but like the
- 1:54:32whole romance, would you yeojeong and Dolan?
- 1:54:36And then like how he I guess been texting her for like years,
- 1:54:40which is randomly said, Texas. And then like finally she like
- 1:54:44replies back after a year? I think it was a while.
- 1:54:48He got so excited that I like he finally respond.
- 1:54:53I personally probably would have walked honestly.
- 1:54:55As much as I like him, I might have blocked him at this point.
- 1:54:59What is her? What was done?
- 1:55:01Ewan's relationship with the husband?
- 1:55:03Like, they were friends at this point, right?
- 1:55:06Or like, go buddies? Yeah, so they were they weren't
- 1:55:08like, yeah, they weren't friends.
- 1:55:10I don't even think he do her name, but they would see each
- 1:55:12other at the go house and play and probably gamble a little
- 1:55:20bit, but not really gamble because gambling's illegal
- 1:55:22Korea. But I know they played for like
- 1:55:26some money, but a technically wasn't gambling, apparently
- 1:55:30Square predictions for him. The husband.
- 1:55:34Yeah, I don't know. I really don't know at this
- 1:55:37point, he's kind of a mystery to me.
- 1:55:40I don't know what his goals motive.
- 1:55:41His I would like to find out what would happen when he finds
- 1:55:45out. Yay.
- 1:55:46Soul is not. His daughter which I think he
- 1:55:52already knows basically, but I don't know it's the life cheated
- 1:55:56based off of the cigarettes. Yes, that was also crazy to me
- 1:56:01too that he was able to piece that together off the cigarette
- 1:56:04band or nobody dumb and helped like edged him towards.
- 1:56:07That is very smart, it's just amazes me how she was able to
- 1:56:10plan all of this. She was motivated.
- 1:56:14Masek yes. She's very motivated me and me,
- 1:56:16she kind of talked about this. We were gone a little bit the
- 1:56:18fees, but I asked the question. Who do you think killed my
- 1:56:21uncle? Because this is when the scene
- 1:56:22we find out where I think, don't you?
- 1:56:25Tell us a little bit about that one student that like we think?
- 1:56:29I was killed but she tells him. That was murdered.
- 1:56:34And all that is. So like once he finishes a task
- 1:56:36for her she like gives him more information and then he was
- 1:56:40about to book a flight to like leave and everything and then we
- 1:56:43find out like at the episode like oh, you know, someone
- 1:56:47killed him or is he dead? Do you guys even think he's
- 1:56:50dead? Ours is badly.
- 1:56:52Beaten up. I don't think he's dead.
- 1:56:54Basically, he's dead. You don't think he's dead.
- 1:56:59I don't think so or do you think he is dead?
- 1:57:03I don't know, good luck. His disappearance was a cause of
- 1:57:07question, but I don't know. I just don't think he's dead.
- 1:57:12Or who knows? I don't know.
- 1:57:13I see him badly hurt but we don't actually know if he
- 1:57:16actually died or not. I think, I don't, I don't know
- 1:57:20because like I could be like, oh I think he actually is dead but
- 1:57:22he actually isn't, I just don't know but like in the
- 1:57:26foreshadowing scenes, It made it seem like someone attacked him
- 1:57:32though, like one of the friends. Yeah.
- 1:57:36You could just be like, tied up somewhere.
- 1:57:37I don't know but I wouldn't put it past her though to actually
- 1:57:41kill him. I guess we'll just see in part
- 1:57:43tune but now being a little is appeared.
- 1:57:47So on to episode 6, I'm gonna start right away.
- 1:57:51I had a huge problem with that teacher at the elementary school
- 1:57:54with the awful bowl, cut hair cut.
- 1:57:56I was just going to ask you guys.
- 1:57:59What you thought about the freaks me out.
- 1:58:01I hope he never comes back but like just the fact that he was
- 1:58:04so humble that she was that don't know who slept with like
- 1:58:07the superintendent so she could start working.
- 1:58:10Yeah it's like like how I complain to you me cells.
- 1:58:13Why is it your business? Why are you song so obsessed to
- 1:58:17find out why she's here? And immediately labor her as a
- 1:58:21ho. Right?
- 1:58:22And even if even, if she had a relationship with somebody
- 1:58:27doesn't mean she's gonna sleep with you, your bowl cut looking
- 1:58:30but sleep with him. I'm so confused like sir go
- 1:58:38somewhere and get better haircuts so he thinks she's
- 1:58:41easy. I think the main reason why he
- 1:58:44was concerned was because she did pop up randomly and you only
- 1:58:48pop up randomly is if you like get like A favor or you threaten
- 1:58:51someone. I don't think he thought she was
- 1:58:53capable of threatening someone so he just probably would the
- 1:58:56other route Yeah until they have that little talk.
- 1:59:00No it's like he was gonna hit her to know her comeback was
- 1:59:04really good. I was like yes girl.
- 1:59:08I was like but what is with all these characters and they just
- 1:59:11like all in your business like come on.
- 1:59:15I'm also going to need him to get a haircut.
- 1:59:18Yeah, something about his face. I don't know why.
- 1:59:21I was just very, very, very punchable like every time he
- 1:59:24came on screen, Very Punchy. But yes, well whoever that actor
- 1:59:31is played the character pretty well very well.
- 1:59:35So then this is also when the friend group, in quotation
- 1:59:40marks, basically start realizing that like, Nyong'o is, like not
- 1:59:45responding to them. I know Sada Texas him a few
- 1:59:49times and like she is basically going through withdrawals
- 1:59:52because she's texting him, like she's out of ice and grass,
- 1:59:54which I'm sure code names for drugs.
- 1:59:57I know. Grass is weed.
- 1:59:58I don't know what. Isis.
- 2:00:01Like come on, is it cocaine? I think so or meth maybe you can
- 2:00:06tell me no idea. I know they're they're drug laws
- 2:00:08for weed is one thing I don't know about every Like Cocaine.
- 2:00:12You know, that's next level stuff.
- 2:00:15There's a rich person's drug. So I win surprised.
- 2:00:21Okay. So I asked another question, if
- 2:00:23you guys were in, he'll Noms position, which by the way,
- 2:00:27she's also very scary especially in her.
- 2:00:29Spy tactics. Will you watch her like
- 2:00:31following them and stuff? She's very good.
- 2:00:33I love her, I love her, but I was just wondering, like, what
- 2:00:40you guys kind of be like her. It's our kind of blurring the
- 2:00:42lines between the relationship between her and don't know
- 2:00:45because you can start telling like she was Kind of, I put
- 2:00:50blurring the lines, like, almost not really seeing this, as like,
- 2:00:53a partnership or like an employment ship but like, almost
- 2:00:57the not a friendship, but because she's old as definitely
- 2:01:02like it teamwork type of things. Yeah, but almost gonna see her
- 2:01:06like as, like a little either daughter or like, younger sister
- 2:01:09type way. Boom.
- 2:01:11And I also asked the question. Do you guys just think dongle is
- 2:01:14this, like scared of letting people in?
- 2:01:16Or you think it's because she's setting boundaries, because
- 2:01:18she's technically, as Looking for her.
- 2:01:20I think Dolan is setting boundaries not cuz of like the
- 2:01:23work relationship more. So because of her experiences
- 2:01:26that's what I think like translation.
- 2:01:28Yeah. But like, touching people
- 2:01:30texting people just like opening up in general to them but like,
- 2:01:33you could, you do see her, like, opening up little by little.
- 2:01:36So I guess we'll see more of that in part to, right.
- 2:01:40I think it's a combination of both, you know, like she doesn't
- 2:01:44look comfortable trusting people, but she also wants to
- 2:01:47keep a like work. Relationship.
- 2:01:49She doesn't want to this person that she's trusted to come back
- 2:01:52and bite you in the butt later on.
- 2:01:54So, but I think it's a combination of both just with
- 2:01:57like her being weird about certain things that she does and
- 2:02:01what not like it's just making her uncomfortable to be that
- 2:02:03close with somebody but she also craves that probably motherly
- 2:02:08bond that she didn't get. Yeah, because that's why I was
- 2:02:11saying earlier how God. What is his name?
- 2:02:15I forgot his name already squirrel.
- 2:02:18Squirrel. How the dude is important?
- 2:02:21Because I feel like she opens up to yo, June a lot easier in
- 2:02:27earlier that she does with, he'll Nam.
- 2:02:29So that's why I didn't know if his because like she's basically
- 2:02:31working for her and like, and yo, Zhang's sense like until the
- 2:02:38end, she hasn't really told him about like the Revenge stuff.
- 2:02:41Yeah. So and I don't even know if like
- 2:02:44that. Ship.
- 2:02:45She is acting at first but like he did get her to like smile for
- 2:02:48the first time in a long time or maybe if ever and like laugh at
- 2:02:54that one scene earlier like at the park.
- 2:02:57So I do feel like that was real. I didn't know why she didn't
- 2:03:00reciprocate those like saying Emotions and like openness to
- 2:03:05heal Nam. And if that's because she is
- 2:03:07working for her, basically, it could be that.
- 2:03:10And I could think it could be like it's a different type of
- 2:03:13relationship. Like maybe she's more open to
- 2:03:16like a friend or a or a romantic relationship where the
- 2:03:20relationship with her mother is more sensitive.
- 2:03:23So if she sees her as like a motherly figure, maybe it's
- 2:03:26harder to like accept that type of bond and then the work aspect
- 2:03:32on top of it. So I also think so um he's more
- 2:03:36random though like he has no connection to the bullies to the
- 2:03:41story to anything whereas she kind of does because she does
- 2:03:45technically work for them but I think that's true.
- 2:03:48So I think it's easier for her to trust him because he really
- 2:03:51has no connection whatsoever to them he can't even lie.
- 2:03:55Interested in exactly. Yeah yeah.
- 2:03:57Did she stop working for them at the house when she started
- 2:04:00working for dong-geun? I know that I didn't really get
- 2:04:02like a Yes, I'm assuming she's just stopped working for them,
- 2:04:05right? That's the vibe I got, but I
- 2:04:07don't think they directly addressed that.
- 2:04:10She would think that she would stay working with them.
- 2:04:11So she could hear that. But today, but she is traveling
- 2:04:16around the like following spout. And I suppose, my favorite scene
- 2:04:20is the bus scene where she's just like looking off of the
- 2:04:22reflection and she like almost gets caught.
- 2:04:26Yeah, quick. That was smart.
- 2:04:31Yeah. She's good at this.
- 2:04:33She's she really should be a spy laughter or private
- 2:04:36investigator. Should be great.
- 2:04:39Oh yes, she would kill that job but yeah, so then we move on
- 2:04:44now. I don't remember, no, I do
- 2:04:46remember. So after the whole scene, I was
- 2:04:50talking about earlier with that one girl, but poor redhead, who
- 2:04:53had to get the brunt of jejune, being insecure about his color
- 2:04:58blindness. I think dong-geun basically
- 2:05:02hinted, Tim young of that, ye Sol is jejune daughter because
- 2:05:10after that, girl left me on go axes like he acts as if Dawn and
- 2:05:18jejune slept together and think he has a kid or something.
- 2:05:22And he was like what are you talking about?
- 2:05:24And then that made him think of like something else?
- 2:05:27Because then we jump to the scene where cage on the flight
- 2:05:30attended is at his house. Which I'm also curious because
- 2:05:36when don't goat stole her phone or yeah, I was like so did they
- 2:05:41also sleep together in the past? Because she has a lot of
- 2:05:45pictures of him. And I kind of seems like it
- 2:05:47hinted like she had a crush on him also, wasn't she trying to
- 2:05:51get him though? She was trying to bag him like
- 2:05:54marry him and stuff but like the pictures in a foam also made me
- 2:05:57hint that they were also sleeping together.
- 2:06:01I don't know if that was just me or To be possible because he was
- 2:06:04a player. So he may have been leading her
- 2:06:06on my have been. That's what it seems like
- 2:06:09because she's and she seems to know a lot more as well besides
- 2:06:13yeojin, and she seems to be scared of, like, yeojin finding
- 2:06:16something else something out between them.
- 2:06:19So I was just curious. I didn't know if that was just
- 2:06:21me or not. I think he was because then like
- 2:06:25after because I think they had a confrontation to if I'm not
- 2:06:29mistaken. That's when she goes after the
- 2:06:32other dudes. It's like when she just comes a
- 2:06:34Serial dater, I think. Yes, I have the timeline
- 2:06:37instead. I probably have this whole time
- 2:06:40to it's fine because she asks about he is asking about like,
- 2:06:44yay. So all the time and he's been
- 2:06:47doing that for a while and then like she kind of makes like this
- 2:06:49job. She's like, why are you asking
- 2:06:52about yeojin's daughter so much? And she even tells her, he's
- 2:06:57like straight up. Like I think she might be mine
- 2:07:01and she kind of laughed it off. Like, But I do know.
- 2:07:04I'm a good guy. I'm guessing.
- 2:07:05Everyone knew they were sleeping together even when she was
- 2:07:07engaged. That's why I'm like this must
- 2:07:10been a thing for a while. This is a crazy friend group,
- 2:07:13friend group, quotations. Friends with Benefits.
- 2:07:16More like it. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:07:19And then also in this episode this is really the first time we
- 2:07:22kind of see something triggered only because we're so used to
- 2:07:25watching her throughout this whole series.
- 2:07:27So far really be strong and like pushed your like Revenge but
- 2:07:30then like she gets triggered when she's getting her.
- 2:07:33Car checked, after those guys like bread into her.
- 2:07:37Those suspicious guys, that, I guess, we'll see if they come
- 2:07:39back or not. And then, she gets triggered by
- 2:07:41the sound of, like meat cooking because the dealerships are
- 2:07:44frying pork in there. And that's probably why after
- 2:07:51that whole scene happened, when she gets like triggered with her
- 2:07:53PTSD that she actually confesses to yo-jong about her, like her
- 2:07:58past, and like her revenge plan and everything.
- 2:08:00So, and then that's when like, No, she axes, or tells him that,
- 2:08:06like she needs. An Executor not a boyfriend.
- 2:08:08Right now, she has a plan. She has a motive she's driven
- 2:08:11and she will not let anything get in that way.
- 2:08:14Yeah. And also she's too far into her
- 2:08:16plan to like, you know, change your mind exactly.
- 2:08:20This has been planned since high school.
- 2:08:21Nothing is going to get in the way of that.
- 2:08:24She will get her revenge but then also our three characters
- 2:08:31get mysterious packages. I'm sure Are all from da Moon.
- 2:08:35So the husband gets a picture of him and do moon when they're at
- 2:08:40the convenience store and she slipped, young goes like
- 2:08:44business card and there, which leads him to seek out where my
- 2:08:48younger one is because he isn't responding.
- 2:08:51And that's when he starts actually interacting with Jade
- 2:08:54Jude more and he starts putting together, the pieces of like
- 2:08:58their friendship was more than a friendship.
- 2:09:00His and his wife and like if they were Sleeping together.
- 2:09:06What else happened? Oh, jae-joon gets ye seuls
- 2:09:11toothbrush, which still? I get surprised that they
- 2:09:15brushed your teeth and published, but yes, and he ends
- 2:09:19up using that to do a paternity test to see if he's actually a
- 2:09:24father. And yes, he is.
- 2:09:27And that's why I question because cage on gets pictures
- 2:09:31from her phone. Develop pictures of her and
- 2:09:33jejune, and it seemed like They're together and like at
- 2:09:36clubs and stuff. So that's why I question if
- 2:09:37they've slept together or not. So, that was just my only thing.
- 2:09:45But yeah, like I said, they start putting the, especially
- 2:09:48the husband start putting the pieces together jae-joon finds
- 2:09:51out that yes, that actually is my daughter and he finds out
- 2:09:54because of a scene where he goes start stalking the daughter
- 2:09:59basically. Yeah.
- 2:10:01Y'all feel about that but like he calls out to her and he
- 2:10:05realizes she can't see the colors of the lights to tell
- 2:10:08went to cross the road. So that's what he's like, holy
- 2:10:10shit, that actually is my She he developed for yeah?
- 2:10:14She developed my mom color blindness.
- 2:10:17So y'all think about that anyway, how he got?
- 2:10:20So invested, so quickly on the daughter, which I first, he
- 2:10:24didn't seem like he cared at first.
- 2:10:26Well, I don't think he cared because he didn't really know.
- 2:10:29Now he knows, I don't know if it's because his possessiveness
- 2:10:33over the daughter so much, or if it's possessiveness over, like,
- 2:10:37the mom because he seems to be quite obsessed with her.
- 2:10:41So like If he can take the daughter away from her, I think
- 2:10:44it's more about taking the daughter away, then like just
- 2:10:48wanting to be with her and they put its wild.
- 2:10:50They had a chance to be together.
- 2:10:53I don't know, maybe, we'll do more of a back story on mental.
- 2:10:56Why they didn't actually get married because it's like, why
- 2:10:59don't y'all just end up together?
- 2:11:01He's also red. So, it's not like, yeojin had
- 2:11:04any, I feel like to address that like finances.
- 2:11:07Did they did? I miss it.
- 2:11:09I think they did. They have a Conversation.
- 2:11:14When she became pregnant. Or did she, did she never tell
- 2:11:16him? She never will they?
- 2:11:19Never knew that. That was his daughter.
- 2:11:21They all just assumed it was from the husband.
- 2:11:23I think, when they spoke that she may have posted as a
- 2:11:26hypothetical thing to him. And his response wasn't what she
- 2:11:29wanted, which is why she went through with the marriage.
- 2:11:31I think they had a conversation though, about it.
- 2:11:33The very beginning when they were sleeping together in the
- 2:11:35fitting room and I don't remember, but I do remember them
- 2:11:38talking about it and her just like moving forward.
- 2:11:42Because he I guess he didn't want to get like entangled or
- 2:11:44something like that. Remember him ever asking why he
- 2:11:47didn't want to get married? That's why I said earlier about
- 2:11:51like how she's like not necessarily married but like
- 2:11:53just be together, I don't know. Because she doesn't.
- 2:11:57Remember I said earlier, she's like She don't like to share.
- 2:12:03I don't know. Their whole relationship
- 2:12:04confuses me and if I had missed, why they're not together that's
- 2:12:08on me but I don't get it. I just don't get it.
- 2:12:11I don't know why they didn't end up getting together.
- 2:12:14An example of Friends with Benefits.
- 2:12:16Really. Yeah.
- 2:12:16But how long can you be friends with benefits?
- 2:12:18Until one of y'all start actually developing feelings.
- 2:12:21That's a topic for another podcast out there that could
- 2:12:24just keep just keep doing it and just not ever develop feelings.
- 2:12:28I don't know, humans are weird. Wait time to get into this.
- 2:12:34Um all simple and episode 7 is when we start actually learning
- 2:12:39how young Joan has a dark past himself and something bad
- 2:12:42happened to him and his family. So this is when we learned that
- 2:12:47like so his whole family are doctors and his parents actually
- 2:12:52own the hospital that he either in turned out, or was working
- 2:12:56at. But basically, his mother gets a
- 2:13:00letter from From someone from prison.
- 2:13:02And we later learned that that guy killed your Jung's father,
- 2:13:08when his father was treating him in the hospital, which is so
- 2:13:12fucked up, but I'm assuming he was already a criminal and maybe
- 2:13:16getting checked at the hospital and then he killed him.
- 2:13:19But like we see him going through flashbacks of like
- 2:13:22killing the guy, who killed his father.
- 2:13:24The same way he killed his father, so that's why I was like
- 2:13:28oh son especially like there certain times when he goes in
- 2:13:30the kitchen. He picks up the knife and he
- 2:13:31starts like they won some. I don't know what to call it.
- 2:13:36Practicing how to stab him. Yes we see.
- 2:13:42He has extensive knife collection and we also learned.
- 2:13:45That's probably why to? Because we see him throughout
- 2:13:47the first like six episodes. He's going to therapy and we
- 2:13:50don't know why. And then there's one scene.
- 2:13:52I know where he's in the therapy, he's talking to his
- 2:13:55therapist and he turns over in a like the guy that killed his
- 2:13:59father is kind of like Up there, but all bloody, that's how he
- 2:14:02imagined, you know, stabbing him and stuff.
- 2:14:06Do you think him having that back story adds to the main
- 2:14:10story? Or do you think his character
- 2:14:12would have been just fine if he was just the main lead
- 2:14:16supporter? I don't know if he would be as
- 2:14:19down for Revenge. If he didn't want his own
- 2:14:22Revenge, you know what I mean? Like, yes.
- 2:14:24Very willing to take revenge and Executioner's to.
- 2:14:28Yeah, he wants to take his own Revenge.
- 2:14:30He, I think he has a better understanding of where she's
- 2:14:33coming from with that, rather than a person who hasn't been
- 2:14:36scarred by somebody else. Yeah, because I don't know if
- 2:14:39he'd be so willing to help her if he didn't have his own like
- 2:14:42dark dark past secret self, he might still be like sympathetic
- 2:14:48in a way because that's what it seems like by.
- 2:14:49I don't know if he'd be willing to help her.
- 2:14:51I agree because made of that in love with her, which I don't see
- 2:14:55really happening, but I agree because like, even the way they
- 2:14:59have his character Trade. He seems like a very logical
- 2:15:02person. So for him to have like that
- 2:15:05background that connection to what she's trying to do would
- 2:15:08make more sense. So and then I'm surprised they
- 2:15:11did this so late in the episode but this is the one when I
- 2:15:14ramble episode before I realized Macy, didn't watch the show that
- 2:15:18like really struck me surprisingly out of all of them
- 2:15:22like this whole thing is about like their laws when it comes to
- 2:15:25like basically child custody. So in this scene, When jejune,
- 2:15:32you know, finds out that, that's his daughter and like, all of a
- 2:15:35sudden, now he wants to like, be in her life.
- 2:15:38I guess he has a friend who's a lawyer, and he acts is him, if
- 2:15:40there's any way he can be like in the child's life, like
- 2:15:44legally, because he is the biological father.
- 2:15:49So what his friend was basically telling him that even though he
- 2:15:52is the biological father, that the law in Korea when it comes
- 2:15:56to custody because she was born in a family of a married, Good,
- 2:16:00couple she is legally the married couples.
- 2:16:04And so how do young is legally her father?
- 2:16:08No matter what? Because they were married, when
- 2:16:10she was born, and as long as he doesn't leave or divorces Park,
- 2:16:15yeojin jejune, doesn't have like any type of rights to claim
- 2:16:20yeseul at all in a legal way. And the only time he be able to
- 2:16:24do that is if like the father and up like, you know, Getting
- 2:16:30arrested for something the child abuse actually.
- 2:16:33Yeah, like he finds out he's there on capable of caring for
- 2:16:36the child which they're both obsessed with that child.
- 2:16:39Which I love any abuse signs neglect.
- 2:16:42And like I said, if he divorces and leaves them things like
- 2:16:45that. So I thought that was
- 2:16:47interesting. So you know, the conversation.
- 2:16:49I was saying earlier, I think it was this at this point that he
- 2:16:52went and spoke to her, where he tells her to like leave in or
- 2:16:55something. Yeah, this is what I was talking
- 2:16:57about. Yes.
- 2:16:57Because yeah, because he shows up to the tee, Station and he's
- 2:17:01like, you know, he bases, like why don't we just get together?
- 2:17:04You should leave your husband if be just us.
- 2:17:07And it's so weird how she's like, she loves her husband and
- 2:17:10I was like, how do you love your husband?
- 2:17:12You've been lying to him your whole relationship?
- 2:17:16Like your husband does not know the real of her husband.
- 2:17:20Yes. But your husband don't seem to
- 2:17:23know you and honestly, I don't think you really know your
- 2:17:24husband like that. So She did say she liked him so
- 2:17:29that's something. Does she like him?
- 2:17:32If she liked his money now she said she liked him in the show
- 2:17:36or like that the fact that he liked her for being pretty or
- 2:17:40something like that. Yeah.
- 2:17:42I mean, it looks aren't everything.
- 2:17:45It All Leads back to her. It was a convoluted reason.
- 2:17:48Yes. It's still All Leads back to
- 2:17:49her, but still, it's just crazy. Because even sometimes like
- 2:17:53throughout the show when they be talking I was like why are you
- 2:17:56guys together? Either, I don't know.
- 2:17:58Don't think is that the end of that conversation though, where
- 2:18:01he's like um like just leave them or something?
- 2:18:04Not that one. But there was a different part
- 2:18:06where like he confronts her when she shows up at his clothing
- 2:18:09store and they kind of get violent with each other and like
- 2:18:12he tells her like he knows that's his daughter and he likes
- 2:18:16and choked her against the wall and then they start making out
- 2:18:19no place for this though. That's why I said they are very
- 2:18:24toxic. Don't bring that little girl
- 2:18:25into this. Oh my gosh.
- 2:18:27Um, again some good father. I don't think so.
- 2:18:31There are three. He has rights or not.
- 2:18:33I don't think he should have that kid.
- 2:18:35Yeah, no I don't think he's exactly.
- 2:18:37I don't think he has the moral capacity to be, who knows?
- 2:18:42I caregiver based off of what we've been seeing.
- 2:18:45He does not have it. Ben should take his daughter and
- 2:18:47run. Yeah, I guess that wouldn't work
- 2:18:49because if he like leaves the life, he doesn't have rights
- 2:18:53anymore. So fun fact, may see.
- 2:18:55Thank you for helping me segue. I took some knows about custody
- 2:18:59laws in Korea. So what sucks is?
- 2:19:04I actually couldn't find anything about this specific
- 2:19:06case, which is always really looking for, but I did find some
- 2:19:09things about, like, what happens if a couple's divorce there.
- 2:19:14So, that's really what my notes are about.
- 2:19:17So, of course, kind of like here, I guess they have their
- 2:19:20own separate court system for families.
- 2:19:21Like the family court that will like, make decisions and this
- 2:19:25type of things, if the couple cannot come Their own agreement
- 2:19:28to where the courts don't have to get involved.
- 2:19:30Basically. So when it comes to like, they
- 2:19:33broke it up to the three things, they broke it up in the child
- 2:19:36custody child support because I guess they also pay child
- 2:19:39support over there and visitation rights.
- 2:19:41So with the child custody, the Court decides, which parent
- 2:19:45would get the child's custody and it depends on the child's
- 2:19:48age to the parents Financial State, Etc.
- 2:19:50And then, if the child is at a certain age, they'll take their
- 2:19:54opinion into consideration. So, I guess it's a Child is over
- 2:19:5813. The court will listen to that
- 2:20:00child's opinion about who they may want to stay with and have
- 2:20:04legal right over them and things of that nature.
- 2:20:07It seemed to me when I was doing, my research is kind of
- 2:20:09like here in America. Will try their best to give the
- 2:20:12mother, um, like custody, but like the father has a more
- 2:20:17fighting chance it seems like and this because joint custody
- 2:20:22is actually very unusual over in Korea.
- 2:20:25So only one parent would likely get Like sole custody, but if
- 2:20:30they find out, like both parents are considered unfit.
- 2:20:32They try to give custody to someone else like the
- 2:20:35grandparents or another family member, and if they can't find
- 2:20:38any other family members, still give, you know, Institute
- 2:20:42orphanage. And then if there's multiple
- 2:20:44children, there's possibility to, like, give custody of each
- 2:20:48child to different people, which I thought was interesting.
- 2:20:50So, they're not afraid to like break up the siblings.
- 2:20:54If there's more than one child involved when it comes to child.
- 2:20:57I'd support the Court decides, how much the non-custodial
- 2:21:00parent should pay the custodial. Cuz yeah, I'm saying that right
- 2:21:04parent for the support and it can like, you know, different on
- 2:21:10for many reasons, the parents were never married, but they
- 2:21:13like only dated or they just like had sex with each other.
- 2:21:16The custodial parent can file a suit for child, support against
- 2:21:20the other, and then for visitation rights, the Court
- 2:21:26decides the visitation Right and methods, therefore which can
- 2:21:30include like letters, emails, gifts, phone calls, besides
- 2:21:34physically seeing the child, which can be like, only on
- 2:21:38weekends, once a month twice a year, things like that.
- 2:21:43So yeah, kind of not that different from over here.
- 2:21:46But still, I was going to say that's all I could find.
- 2:21:49As far as I really wanted more information about like what that
- 2:21:52lawyer said, but do you think her custody is going to be a big
- 2:21:55theme in part to know? because like in this situation
- 2:22:01since he was saying the husband technically is legally her
- 2:22:07figure, if they do get a divorce, does that mean he
- 2:22:11doesn't have any rights like Macy was questioning That's also
- 2:22:17means it's not knowing that type like for the law like what he be
- 2:22:20able to take her but they would have to prove the mothers unfit,
- 2:22:24but maybe they can depending on what the only ones revenge is
- 2:22:27like, if she ends up getting her arrested or something.
- 2:22:31Yeah, I think I think God makes I think it kinda depends on the
- 2:22:37husband like if he probably is aware of these laws.
- 2:22:40So it's like, is he going to stay with her because of the
- 2:22:44daughter of peace or He's just going to get out completely and
- 2:22:49like let her have her to like get out of the situation just to
- 2:22:54save himself. I don't know.
- 2:22:55I don't know what he'll do because I don't think she's
- 2:22:58gonna let him go, you know, because it's going to ruin her
- 2:23:02Fantasy Life. If her husband leaves her So the
- 2:23:06husband doesn't know at this point, right?
- 2:23:09I think at this point, he knows because there is already like
- 2:23:12has a suspect like he has a suspicion suspicion of incidence
- 2:23:16I skipped over when he is taking Hey Yaesu lat.
- 2:23:23I guess she plays soccer and then like there there's
- 2:23:29somewhere, I don't know if it's like out of trunk or something.
- 2:23:31He's like basically tying her shoes or something and he says
- 2:23:34something about like the other team and like their socks.
- 2:23:36And she says, something about one of the kids because he said
- 2:23:40something about, like, all the kids with pink socks were like,
- 2:23:43probably cheating or something. And she talks about this one
- 2:23:46boy, but he's not wearing pink socks.
- 2:23:48He's wearing black socks and that's what he kind of has like.
- 2:23:51What's happening because I don't know if he knows that jejune has
- 2:23:55color blindness as well or not but they obviously also know
- 2:23:58each other because his mother and an earlier scene like at the
- 2:24:04very beginning is going to the golf club that jeju's like
- 2:24:09family owns. So they've interacted before in
- 2:24:12the past probably and he knows that he is friends with yeojin
- 2:24:17and they've been friends or known each other since high
- 2:24:20school. So, You can put pieces together
- 2:24:23but I think he knows one, his wife is hiding something, a
- 2:24:27disability about their child from them and to I might not be
- 2:24:31my kid because color blindness, hereditary.
- 2:24:35Do you remember the the scene? Where where there was like a
- 2:24:40event at her school, like a Father's Day event type thing
- 2:24:45and they both showed up. Did he, did he say something
- 2:24:49done to me? I think this is vicious about
- 2:24:51that, but then the he just played it off.
- 2:24:54Like, oh, I'm here to see my college like or college high
- 2:24:59school friend. So in the same episode that
- 2:25:02stores, the end. Yes.
- 2:25:03When he shows up and he's basically taunting him, he's
- 2:25:06basically trying to say like that's not your daughter, that's
- 2:25:08not your child. But yes that's in the same
- 2:25:12episode that he jejune like, morasca shows up.
- 2:25:16Yeah, like why are you here randomly truth suspicious?
- 2:25:19Then like more so than any time else.
- 2:25:22But he also discovers that his go player is also his daughters
- 2:25:26homeroom teacher. Yes.
- 2:25:29And then he's like oh and they also know he also she also knows
- 2:25:33my wife from high school days. So the pieces are coming
- 2:25:37together just to says she plans. Great plan a little.
- 2:25:42Yes, actually has to be like because he's a CEO and aren't
- 2:25:45just to CEO CEO of like a construction company.
- 2:25:48So I can also come into play because I like that ginormous
- 2:25:51like go thing that they build that that one part that was
- 2:25:55really cool. So, And that game that they play
- 2:25:59also seems very tactical so yeah, then we finish off and
- 2:26:05part one with the very last episode.
- 2:26:07I broke my promise guys, is a long episode of ours.
- 2:26:11Yeah, just give me five more minutes and then we're done.
- 2:26:15But I also thought, what did you guys think of?
- 2:26:17He ae-jong basically apologizing, when she runs it to
- 2:26:21donggun at. I don't know if they're at like
- 2:26:23a shaman place or Buddha place or one of those like religious.
- 2:26:27Places. But like when she confronts hers
- 2:26:29and then I put it the weakest link because she cracked like
- 2:26:33Nyong'o even though my uncle, didn't she apologize?
- 2:26:36Apologize. Yeah, she's not sincere.
- 2:26:40That wasn't sincere. Yeah.
- 2:26:42No, it wasn't sincere. Yes.
- 2:26:46She's trying not to be part of whatever.
- 2:26:48Do moon has planned for the punishment and I think she even
- 2:26:51says that too. I don't know if you guys have
- 2:26:54any opinions on that or not, but I guess we all agree.
- 2:26:57She was just like the weakest link.
- 2:26:58She was trying to not get any punishment.
- 2:27:00Yeah she just she is grasping on straws to get this like rich
- 2:27:05husband that she doesn't even really like, can you press her
- 2:27:08mother-in-law? And she doesn't want to like her
- 2:27:10mother. How does she know her?
- 2:27:17I don't know. As she walks away, like why
- 2:27:19couldn't my son be marrying? You, I got this bride instead.
- 2:27:22Dead. I thought that part was funny.
- 2:27:25I love how Jang. Unlike just conveniently knows
- 2:27:28like extensions of these peoples like Associates.
- 2:27:30Yeah. Just enough to scare them right.
- 2:27:35And then I even put like towards the end honestly out of all of
- 2:27:39them besides yeojin who she's getting her revenge on.
- 2:27:43I think she's scared of jejune the most just because their
- 2:27:46interaction at the end, when she meets up with him at the school.
- 2:27:52She kept the really cool and even gave her like the picture
- 2:27:57that he a soul Drew because of her color blindness is just like
- 2:28:01blue but then like, you know, she ends up going into like the
- 2:28:05bathroom throwing up. I'm like, is she more scared of
- 2:28:07him then like she is at the actual girl, she's getting
- 2:28:10revenge on. He seemed to have done something
- 2:28:12to her, which they might bring up in, like, see part 2.
- 2:28:16Yeah. I'm because, obviously, there's
- 2:28:17a scene they showed like in the ring where he was like sexually
- 2:28:20harassing her like making her stand in the rain so sick.
- 2:28:22Can see her boobs and stuff but yeah, I don't know.
- 2:28:27I mean, I think on some level she would be more afraid of him
- 2:28:30physically just because, yeah, he's bigger and stronger than
- 2:28:35her butt and she probably also like I said earlier, he's the
- 2:28:39quiet one so she probably knows just how deranged he can be
- 2:28:44right, which would be scary you know at but she hasn't had a ton
- 2:28:48of interaction with like the main the main bully girl.
- 2:28:52She in the classroom, they had a conversation and then at the
- 2:28:56like Awards you get some kind of award they she has a
- 2:28:59conversation with all of them but maybe like being alone with
- 2:29:04him like outside behind a building was more scary.
- 2:29:08Hmm. Yeah.
- 2:29:10It also seems like to he knows something's happening and maybe
- 2:29:14she can also convince him to be on our side.
- 2:29:17It seems like that's another reason she'll use the kid as
- 2:29:19leverage, which I don't know if I trust, like we've discussed
- 2:29:22Earlier, trust him with her, I really do not want him anywhere
- 2:29:27near this child. Yeah.
- 2:29:29Personally but then, of course, like we said earlier how he a
- 2:29:35jang was like fake apologizing so like she wouldn't get any
- 2:29:40part of the Revenge. That's how she convinced her to
- 2:29:42start doing stuff. So like she basically convinced
- 2:29:44or confess just to the husband of like how his wife was and
- 2:29:48like a bully and everything. So I mean she tells him it's of
- 2:29:54how she was in high school and how he started.
- 2:29:57She started bullying dongwoon. Hey Jang basically confesses all
- 2:30:03of that and he's like, you know, the sweet housewife Act.
- 2:30:09It's all an act, it's not real. Mmm, and she got two drops a
- 2:30:13little bit too, when I think they can, like, have another
- 2:30:17confrontation in his office at the home where she's like, don't
- 2:30:21worry about it, you don't need to be, you know, digging up my
- 2:30:25past and all that, which I thought was interesting like I
- 2:30:31said this kind of shows how their marriage really is.
- 2:30:34Well yeah basically just to wrap it all up.
- 2:30:38Yeojin discovers at like don't lose apartments right across
- 2:30:42from their house, they meet up at the house and then I don't
- 2:30:47remember. Who is it?
- 2:30:49The guy. Is it yo-jong who goes to the
- 2:30:54hospital? Yeah, we're the one girl were
- 2:30:56there, like was murdered because no one has claimed her body yet
- 2:31:00because I don't know something about the can't reach the
- 2:31:02family, but he opens it up where the body supposed to be and
- 2:31:06there's nobody. So who's the girl?
- 2:31:08A He dead. That's another big question out
- 2:31:10of all his revenge. Where is so e?
- 2:31:14Is she actually dead is her body moved?
- 2:31:16Is she alive this whole time? What's going on there?
- 2:31:20So that's another big mystery for part 2.
- 2:31:23Are you guys saying he thinks she's actually dead.
- 2:31:26I mean, I think he's dead because I mean we see.
- 2:31:28Well, do we see her fall off the roof?
- 2:31:31I mean, they kind of they kind of imply it, but I don't think
- 2:31:35that it would have been such a big deal with like, her family
- 2:31:37and stuff like that. Leaving and why would?
- 2:31:39I don't know. I don't know.
- 2:31:41But they never. They never showed like a funeral
- 2:31:43or anything for her and like they said, they can't reach the
- 2:31:46family and then the whole thing is empty.
- 2:31:48So there's no actual body and the hospital.
- 2:31:51I don't know. That's very odd, that it's not
- 2:31:54there. Like, where the heck is it?
- 2:31:56But I don't know. I think she is dead in that
- 2:32:00case, because it has been a long time or maybe they could have,
- 2:32:03she could have faked. I don't know.
- 2:32:04She could have faked it to. Yes, he could have faked her
- 2:32:06death just to get away from them.
- 2:32:08Mmm. She also I mean they were still
- 2:32:11high schooler. She could have transfer her to
- 2:32:14and probably been. Okay.
- 2:32:16It's not like they're going to track her down to her new
- 2:32:18school. I mean they're psychotic enough
- 2:32:20to do that. I suppose they just moved on to
- 2:32:24other people when those ones disappeared because don't just
- 2:32:30dropped out and they didn't look for her.
- 2:32:33That's true. Yeah, they started picking on
- 2:32:35someone else, so I don't know if they're going to go out of
- 2:32:38there. A way to like, find somebody who
- 2:32:40transferred. I don't know if she would have
- 2:32:42had reason to think her. So this is different though
- 2:32:44because she pushed her off a building.
- 2:32:47So if she had died, she would also be a murderer too.
- 2:32:51Yeah, so this is a little bit different in that case.
- 2:32:54Was there was a line that she said the main bully, like I did
- 2:33:00make a mistake in bullying. You, I should have just killed
- 2:33:03you. So I thought she was implying
- 2:33:05that she killed the other one. Yeah, she did.
- 2:33:08Say that when she confronted her at her daughter's classroom,
- 2:33:13doesn't seem like martyr is not an option for her.
- 2:33:16I think I think she said I think there's something weird going on
- 2:33:19with the body but I think she dead but I wouldn't be surprised
- 2:33:23though. If there was some like plot
- 2:33:26twist where she's not dead, I would believe the Lackey is
- 2:33:34probably more alive than the girl who died like years ago.
- 2:33:37Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:33:39It's where the heck is she been for all these years to plotting
- 2:33:43her own Revenge, maybe she got a new identity, a new face.
- 2:33:48Maybe she was just injured and she didn't actually die, but
- 2:33:52yeah, it would be so interesting actually, if like, she does end
- 2:33:56up coming back and they join forces, that would be really
- 2:34:00interesting. How do we know she didn't find
- 2:34:02her earlier on and they've been joining forces, right time.
- 2:34:06Yeah. We'll see.
- 2:34:08That would be interesting. We will see ya.
- 2:34:12So that's the end for me guys. I'm sorry.
- 2:34:14This was sold a long way. Did you get to the part where
- 2:34:17like she just ends up in the apartment?
- 2:34:19I thought I kind of implied that.
- 2:34:21But yes, yeojin basically Yeo Jin basically finds out.
- 2:34:25She's living across from her. She goes into the apartment.
- 2:34:28She sees all the pictures that donggun has and then she turns
- 2:34:32around because doors opening and she thought don't know what's
- 2:34:34going to be there but no, it's her husband.
- 2:34:38Don't taunt Cliffhanger. I'm just interested in what that
- 2:34:44conversation is going to be like it's the husband gonna turn on
- 2:34:46her. It's a husband going to be on
- 2:34:48his wife side. Like I mostly just worried about
- 2:34:52the little girl. You think it'll pick up right
- 2:34:53from that scene? I don't know, I know.
- 2:34:56Yeah, I hope it does so I don't think so so much that she was
- 2:35:00able to get in her apartment though.
- 2:35:02Like, security do better. Don't just let a random Brando
- 2:35:06into somebody's apartment. Permanently, obviously, the
- 2:35:10husband don't gave him the keys and told him where to go,
- 2:35:14because she just spoke with him. Yeah.
- 2:35:17Well, that's always like how does she get in?
- 2:35:19Because I don't think they had keys.
- 2:35:21I don't know. She got a locksmith.
- 2:35:23I think what I thought they had passcodes over in Korea for
- 2:35:29their doors. I think hers was lucky.
- 2:35:32What's up buildings? Might not have it.
- 2:35:34Yeah, they're the future. That's true.
- 2:35:39I mean I guess I thought a majority of them were but I
- 2:35:42don't make sense. Tamar but older buildings, maybe
- 2:35:45not and I'm I'm sure that building was probably there a
- 2:35:49lot longer than their brand-new home.
- 2:35:51So I really don't know what the husband is going to do.
- 2:35:56Like I think he's going to be strategic because this is his
- 2:35:58life as well. And he is about image as well,
- 2:36:01but it seems to be approaching this.
- 2:36:04Like, I think I said this earlier like, He listened to
- 2:36:08her. Don't side first.
- 2:36:11Yeah. And then he went like, and he
- 2:36:14said that he's like, I want to hear your side first, so he's
- 2:36:17not 100% on his wife site either.
- 2:36:20But do you think he has an attraction to Dawn?
- 2:36:23Oh, for sure. I think so, too.
- 2:36:25I thought so too. You can kind of tell what the go
- 2:36:27house at least in the beginning, he may have gotten freaked out
- 2:36:31by her, like everything about him, but he Is definitely fit,
- 2:36:38like attracted to her, just you staring at her and like I feel
- 2:36:42like if a woman who's good at go like yeah.
- 2:36:45No. I feel like if he ends up
- 2:36:48figuring out the whole truth about his wife, he might just
- 2:36:51end up leaving her and go for someone or try to.
- 2:36:54I don't know if he would go for her necessarily, but I think he
- 2:36:58would, I think he would leave his.
- 2:37:00Why would I miss you? And I think he would have jumped
- 2:37:02it leads. I think he still needs that
- 2:37:05image of like a Educated High wealthy woman to like be his
- 2:37:11sidekick and whether he pursues her romantically or not.
- 2:37:15I don't think he would like to marry her anything.
- 2:37:17I don't know how they could just be go buddies forever.
- 2:37:19Imagine the social status of him leaving her to for his daughters
- 2:37:24Home Room. Teacher, that was true.
- 2:37:28That's right. We thought that 21 creepy
- 2:37:33teacher was nosy enough. If that happened dear Lord.
- 2:37:37I know, I don't know. I don't, I think he got kind of
- 2:37:40like, if you were going to leave his wife, I think he would want
- 2:37:42to leave the whole situation entirely and just being with her
- 2:37:45would be too much connected to his wife.
- 2:37:48And that would be a too much of a scandal.
- 2:37:50So I think despite his attraction that he obviously
- 2:37:53has, I don't think he would risk that.
- 2:37:56I do think though he would still be a supporter of our revenge.
- 2:38:00Hmm, I'm just her in general. But even if he doesn't pursue
- 2:38:05her anything, if he's if he will see how much he needs to protect
- 2:38:10his own skin to, you know, like his information and whatnot.
- 2:38:13If this, if she's gonna like ruin his life that he built just
- 2:38:17because he's Associated, I don't know, I don't know what her plan
- 2:38:20with him is either like if she really wants to affect him or if
- 2:38:24she was just messing with And to get to her you know and she know
- 2:38:30like I said earlier she wanted to be an architect.
- 2:38:32Maybe when I saw this is over yeah you can offer her a job.
- 2:38:36Yeah we'll see. I guess I don't know.
- 2:38:39I just want to be a point for her to be the homeroom teacher
- 2:38:41anymore. I'm hoping that he's going to be
- 2:38:43a good character and be on her side, but I also know that he
- 2:38:47has a lot to lose when it comes to this whole situation.
- 2:38:50So what will he choose to do? Yeah, I don't know.
- 2:38:54I'm mostly worried about the daughter.
- 2:38:56Go, where does where is what's gonna happen to her?
- 2:38:58Where is she falling? Tolliver's.
- 2:39:03I think, at the end of this, they're all either going to end
- 2:39:05up dead or in jail. So she'll have to go to her
- 2:39:07relatives or something. Yeah.
- 2:39:09Not and hopefully not Eugene's mother.
- 2:39:12Do you think he may have had a connection to them in high
- 2:39:14school but they may have just not realized it.
- 2:39:18The husband I thought they were like many college, right?
- 2:39:22They met in college student in college.
- 2:39:23Yeah, but you know how kdrama. Like how that thing, like, oh,
- 2:39:27they had like one happenchance interaction.
- 2:39:31I guess we'll find out but yeah, I don't want the daughter to end
- 2:39:34up with JJ and I also don't want her to end up with yeojin's
- 2:39:38mother. I am get into that about their
- 2:39:41relationship. My gosh.
- 2:39:42Yeah, not good Sookie only imagine because I know she was
- 2:39:46saying stuff about her as a baby as well and like how to take
- 2:39:49care of her and that's that's why I was like no matter how
- 2:39:52evil she is. I can appreciate the way she's
- 2:39:55trying to A daughter to be a better than her.
- 2:39:58So there's some type of goodness in there not a lot but just a
- 2:40:03little. So and I don't know where this
- 2:40:05leads everyone else either? As far as the whole group, I
- 2:40:09mean they're not the main targets but still be interesting
- 2:40:11to see where they go. I don't know if like so I
- 2:40:13thought I would ever get arrested from like being a drug
- 2:40:16addict. Basically, I'm sure the other
- 2:40:20girl would get somehow get off scot-free.
- 2:40:23If anything, I know she quit being a Attended, because she's
- 2:40:27engaged to that one guy. So he was also friends with
- 2:40:31yeojin's husband. I don't know if they work
- 2:40:34together or not, but they're in the same Circle.
- 2:40:36So yeah, this is more questions for part two, it's just
- 2:40:40questions for part 2. Well yeah, I guess those are our
- 2:40:44predictions was there. Any other predictions we had?
- 2:40:46Maybe the, we think Jew, yo-jong and donggun.
- 2:40:52They're going to end up getting together.
- 2:40:54Do we think she's gonna actually Ali kill that one ladies.
- 2:40:57He's been Donald will end up raising the kid.
- 2:41:02That would be twist. That would be.
- 2:41:05It's yeah. I don't know how she would get
- 2:41:08her when she probably has extended family.
- 2:41:11But yeah, unless she somehow be like, forces her to click make
- 2:41:17her her Godfather, or something like that.
- 2:41:21Highly unlikely. No, no, I don't know how that
- 2:41:24would have it. Yeah, they would happen either.
- 2:41:28Well, yeah, I'm excited for part two and I'm sure we will do a
- 2:41:32review and hopefully will not be as long guys.
- 2:41:35I can't believe this is Log I tried.
- 2:41:38We did a lot of background about.
- 2:41:41Yeah, we did. So I was trying something
- 2:41:43different. But with the second one, we can
- 2:41:45just like Jump Right In because like background has already been
- 2:41:48set the characters and look at once introduced and stuff,
- 2:41:52exactly. So we'll just see and look out
- 2:41:55for our review of part to do. We want to rate part 1 before
- 2:42:01part 2, in case part to disappoints us which I'm hoping
- 2:42:04it doesn't do it, Okay, what's your all rating?
- 2:42:08I would rate this like a nine point five out of 10.
- 2:42:10I would give it the same reading, honestly 9.5, because I
- 2:42:13think there's at some point. It's a little difficult to
- 2:42:16follow what's happening. But other than that, it's so
- 2:42:19much. Like a got me.
- 2:42:21Like I said, I watched the whole thing and like a couple of
- 2:42:23hours. But yeah.
- 2:42:25So and I'll I'm a sucker for a good like Underdog Revenge
- 2:42:28story, kind of redemption. So Yeah.
- 2:42:32And like with that, I was telling you guys earlier, like,
- 2:42:35I didn't realize the past, like, I didn't know what time frame.
- 2:42:39We were in at the like, first three episodes until we actually
- 2:42:42got to her big the whole group teacher.
- 2:42:45So that confused me a little bit.
- 2:42:46But other than that, I do want to say though, like the main
- 2:42:49leads acting was very, very good compared to her previous dramas,
- 2:42:54which is funny because a lot of people have said, the same
- 2:42:56thing. She was.
- 2:42:57So she was like it. One of the interviews.
- 2:42:59What have I been doing this whole time bud?
- 2:43:03It's to play more likes. Yes, I think this is a logical
- 2:43:07character. This was such a great contrast
- 2:43:11to what she's normally used to playing.
- 2:43:13So it's nice to see her. Like do like, unconventional
- 2:43:16roles for. But yeah, again, I'm not
- 2:43:20familiar with her work. So I can't put my two cents in,
- 2:43:22but, yeah, so that's the nice guys.
- 2:43:26And look out for part two because I know we will be not
- 2:43:29someone please, please, please do the closing because my
- 2:43:31throat. Words from Talking anybody?
- 2:43:35Any volunteers Macy? Okay.
- 2:43:39Okay. Okay.
- 2:43:42Well, thanks so much for listening to this episode of.
