Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: When you have this success of Jeff Staling and make no mistake, you know, I don't have to say what's the thing.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not knocking Jeff Staling.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to understand what he cares about.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's already, he already gets all the credit for this being the best offensive line in football.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: He already gets all the credit for turning Jordan Milata into the player that he is today.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: So Stalin was never in a position where he didn't receive the accolades or the credit.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he gets it all.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: He gets it all for the starting five this year.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: This is a Jeff Stout.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: This is a stoutling group.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what I mean?
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just trying to understand the dynamic of what Cooper now needs to do.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I just keep coming back to the point in my mind right or wrong.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, should anybody should injury creep into the starting five, and if they're weak on replacements, you know, and because as you said many times, you cannot legislate injury, you know,
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but you know, if you see here, I think it would still take a shit on the entire season, because you know, it players are more important than coaches.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody who watches this show listens to this show.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not coming off that.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, players are more important than coaches.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Lane Johnson's a Hall of Fame player.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Toward my lot is on a Hall of Fame trajectory as a player.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: And the Dickerson's a three-time
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: They have good players in this starting group.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: In the backups, it's a bunch of fourth and fifth and six round picks, not the same from a talent perspective.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, would they be a little bit better with Jeff Stoutland probably from a developmental aspect.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: But again, I'm talking about the younger players, but again, because Chris Cooper has had proven that and few have.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: But they're not playing the style that Jeff Stoutland teaches anymore.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, it becomes, you know, basically, if you want to
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to, if you want to boil it down, Jeff Stoutland based his whole foundational teaching process, or not offensive line coach by the name of Jim McNally, you know.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: power gap, philosophy, pen and pole, kick slide, all the things you've seen.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's what Jim McNally taught in where Jeff learned.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and now they're doing more of the Alex Gibbs, which is the Shanahan Reld Davis.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: If you remember the Broncos, the wide zone, the whole thing with the old Mike Shanahan offensive that Joe was, anybody could run for a thousand yards in Denver.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: And that was Alex Gibbs, and it's a different style, it's based on more athleticism, it's based on stretching the defense, it's based on athleticism.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: So they're teaching a different style because they believe they have to.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Now you can argue they shouldn't, and I would probably agree with that.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: But they are.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's why Chris Cooper's here.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's why Ryan Mahafi's here, the run game coordinator, because they have expertise in that style.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they're here.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I wouldn't have changed, but they did.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think the struggles last year had more to do with the injuries than the scheme.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: They evidently think differently.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're just telling me, all right, who do you want to run this scheme?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I would rather have Chris Cooper and Ryan Mahaffey than Jeff Stoutlin.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: But if you let me do what I wanted to do, I'd rather have Jeff Stoutlin, if that makes sense.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, he was offered the, they wanted to keep them on as just the offensive line coach and given the opportunity to teach a different style and he didn't want to do it.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: Is it possible that the new scheme, the new system, the implementation of this offense,
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: as what they are before they run play number one of the new scheme.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Is that remotely possible?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: No, because players are more important than coaches.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: player, you know, lay Johnson's the whole of famous.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a hall of favor and any.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm not knocking yet.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying didn't the scheme that the running, the plays that are coming in now are different from what the starting five is used to.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's different blocking, it's different, everything's different.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's a brand new scheme.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: So all of a sudden, the guys who are Hall of Famers who have been under a certain system are not now talent and everything else will allow them to adjust and adapt.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just wondering if they become less effective
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: because of the implementation of the new scheme, the new offensive scheme.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they got better last year when they switched.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Now, it's a very small sample size.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: And they shifted without the expertise that they have now.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: But it got slightly better, not dramatically better.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, they really, really struggled early under the old scheme in the running game.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then it got progressively better in the second half when they switched.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: So now, I mean, great players are great players.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: And that's my point.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: And there, you know, will there be, you know, maybe a couple mistakes early, sure, but they'll figure it out very quickly.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, those specific five players I don't know worry about it all other than health.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't worry about it all.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now the guys behind them, nothing proven, you know, nothing with the exception of Fred Johnson a little bit and he's been okay, but you see the downgrade when Fred's out there.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: in lane is not or Jordan is not.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's a significant significant downgrade.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: They have to bring in Michael Jordan, not the basketball player, but the football player, because, you know, everybody, they have a guard, true candle, one start, week 18, meaningless environment.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: Miles Hinton, no starts.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Willie Lampkin, zero starts, Michael Morris' rookie, zero starts, literally one start for the backup interior group until they brought in Michael Jordan, who's a veteran, but not a great veteran.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: So that's their very thin on the offensive line.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: extremely thin behind them, where everybody's on proven.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where I think you miss Jeff Stoutman, the most, because Jeff Stoutman's been a great developmental coach with the younger players, and now you don't have that.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: But that's starting five as a finished product.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: What's the weakest part of his game, John?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: Has blocking or running the football?
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, well, he's, you know, he's a back up player.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: He said he's below average, number one.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, he's below average in both phases.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: I would say he's, he's a better pass protector than run blocker,
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a lot of that has to do with the group as a whole is better pass protection and then run blocking.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, even last year when people thought they stunk, they still agreed it out very well in pass protection.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so I mean, he's just, you know, I think people have unrealistic expectations of back up players.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's a backup player.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm just trying to vision.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to understand if if
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: If Lane Johnson has an injury and goes down and Fred Johnson obviously is his replacement and the best offensive line in football or the top three or the top five or whatever you want to categorize them to be, is now all of a sudden the best four plus Fred Johnson and the offense is still
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: under the new scheme running the ball, more than throwing the ball and trying to get sake on more yardage than he did a year ago.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: What is the end result of that if Fred Johnson
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: for the offensive line.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot riding on the fact.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: And, and again, I guess that's good.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot writing on the fact of, you know, the starting five needs a lot of load management dude.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure they need to.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure they should ever practice after the game.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's no load management.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: Put them on game day on the ice and tell her, you know, until the game, oh, you will.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: If anybody has a.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: a hang nail in training camp.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to practice my guarantee, but I mean, you, you've seen a ton of Fred Johnson over the past couple of seasons.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: He paid more snaps than Lane did last year.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: And what was the narrative on his play is narrative was what?
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: But when you compare him to Lane Johnson, it's a significant significant downgrade.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: People have already seen it.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: Played 698 snaps last year for a Johnson.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you want to grade him amongst the backup tackles, it's pretty good.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: But if you want to grade him versus starting tackles in the NFL, it's not great.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a starting level player.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good backup.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you don't want, and that's, so if you look at his, I'll just pull a PFF to give you it.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: So 2024, the Super Bowl season, which he also played quite a bit, kiss of injuries.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: He was ranked 74 of 81 graded tackles, 74 of 81.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, it was a little bit at our 64 of 84.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good back up player.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: What that is, you want, he's a guy who can come in in-game, hold down the fort, maybe play a game or two or somebody springs their ankle and do a good job and do a serviceable job and not make it a disaster for you.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: tackle.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: If he's got to play half the season, like he had to play last year, it's not great.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: Nor should it be.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: You can't, you know, nobody in the NFL has three great tackles.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if they're, if they're great, they're going to either
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: beat out the guy in front of him or they're going to move in free agency, you can't live.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the hope of Mark L. Bell, hopefully he can get it early and he have him under a cost effective deal for four years.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: And you have a even better swing tackle.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: And long term, you know, the goal is to get him up to speed in case
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, backups are backups for a reason.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: And he played almost 700 snaps last year, Fred Johnson.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: That was part of the problem.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're going from Lane Johnson to Fred Johnson.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: Other than the surname, those things are not similar.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: No offense to Fred.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: Lane's one of the greatest right tackles who ever lived.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: So you're not just gonna go, oh, Lane's down, let's put it in Fred and we're fine.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't work that way.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a backup, right tackle and football that can stand in for Lane Johnson serviceably.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Anywhere in the NFL.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, take the names off the jerseys.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: Forget the names for a moment.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: If your top five is your top five and the drop off behind is so significant.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, has there ever been a season where somebody on the off where the, where the starting five and the offensive line went the distance and didn't have it and didn't have any injuries.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't, I mean, I maybe there is, but I mean, yeah, there is there is, but it's rare and now because there are more causes, but there certainly has been in the past, but yeah, I mean,
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Look, they had, you just saw, they had one of the greatest literally.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: This is not hyperphly.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: One of the greatest seasons in NFL history, but in our offensive line in 2024, the group, which the only difference was McIde back then in Tylerstein.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: They had one of the greatest seasons ever for our offensive line.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: And it resulted in the best rushing season ever for Saquan Barclay in a Super Bowl championship.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: And last year, they were just good and people in Philadelphia, we've gotten spoiled and they expect excellence from the offensive line.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: And they didn't get it last year.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you don't get that, it makes things much more difficult, but I do from the Eagles perspective, this is the part I don't get and I've said consistently, they want to live in games with all those issues.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: And they should have beaten San Francisco, I get it, they didn't they played poorly on a given day, but they were a better team than San Francisco.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: If you're telling me, Lane Johnson doesn't miss half the season, land of Dickerson's relatively healthy.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: Campchurkins is relatively healthy.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to win 13 games, minimum.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take 13, I'll take 13 and four, 14 and three.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody would.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that's my problem with the organization.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: They, they're like, oh, it's the scheme.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not, now it's the players.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Players weren't healthy.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it was the offensive line on offense, whether it was jailing Carter on defense, specifically.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: And that happens in the NFL.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're playing, again, back up players.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: So of course you're not as good.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a breadtooth did an excellent job as a backup player last year.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: Again, still a huge downgrade from whomever he was playing for.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Some weeks it was canned, some weeks it was landing, did a really nice job.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: And the Eagles would have liked to have gotten him back and he went to San Francisco.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Again, really good back up player last year.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Not nearly as good as a healthy land in Dickerson or a healthy cancer.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_01]: B.O.G.O.B.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: along at 9.20, and the football guys can have some good conversation.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: Johnny Macau, what are some of the exciting things that we're going to see?
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: from this offense, you know, are we going to see Sake Juan Barclay with big games?
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: Are we going to see an offense that's going to score an average,
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: More points than we anticipate.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: We kind of already know what the deep or we kind of already think we know what the defense is going to do.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: How exciting is the new scheme going to be?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: How much buzz is going to be around the offense when the game concludes in the Eagles hang 35 on the commanders and game won?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: you know, possible because the skill set of some of the key players on the roster, despite the fact that you didn't replace AJ Brown, that you lost a lot of production with AJ Brown, that you really didn't go on this run.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: until you got AJ Brown in 22 and now you approach the season without him, you hang a big
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: 100 pound, 200,000 pound weight on McI and lemon shoulders and tell them your boy, you got to get, you got to, you got to, you got to produce, you got to get, you you got to get the job done and if you don't, we're in trouble.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: I almost feel this like McI lemon is the guy that will determine or factor or contribute into this
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: of this offense because you're not going to be able to do it with just Devante, at least Devante and AJ provide it a one-two punch of equivalent yardage and production.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: somebody has to make up for that loss production.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I know we kind of talked about McCoy, but is there more pressure on him or is the expectation of what he's supposed to be able to do fall in line with the talent?
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, looks good when you watch him on without pads or you watch some of his college highlight.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: What is he good?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: Is he that is he great already?
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we've barely got to see him in the spring because he heard a hamstring, so I think he was out there for one practice and then they kind of shut him down.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: He was a good, you know, he's a good college player.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: Certainly highly rated by most, you know, most most people had him go into the Rams at 13th overall.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: So he's a high-level prospect, but again, I mean, expectations are always that, I don't know why.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's part of the problem.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like debante Smith is he debante Smith coming in?
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: In debante Smith.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: set the franchise rookie record for receiving arts, which was 9-16 or something like that.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, Demante Smith is the wide receiver one.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, he's going to get more of the traffic and he's going to be the main piece of the passing game.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: And number two is not going to be close.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, in 25, J. Benzos has smitties making up for the A.J.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: loss, McCoy, Wix will replace smitties production and, and, no, that's a good divante smith and A.J.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's the thing.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: Had similar numbers last year, had similar, they had similar production.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I, you know, Debonte, I don't worry about it all.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's not on either way.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I don't either.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think he's going to be what he's going to be.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, now is AJ slightly better, sure.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: But he's a legitimate wide receiver one.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the problem is now you had a big time wide receiver one, and maybe the best wide receiver two in the NFL,
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: And now, the problem is replacing debante as that second option, where you have, it's got to be wicks and lemon or a combination of both with more likely.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to be as good, but can you get by?
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's sure.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's, there's a lot of different ways to win in the NFL.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: 100 different ways.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they, they want on a block field goal to be the Rams.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: There's a hundred different ways to win.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: The assumption you have to do it one way.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: They want a Super Bowl with, you know, Super Bowl 52 with a limited group of receivers.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, did people forget that?
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: Carson Lens said the franchise record for passing yards.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: I believe that's the season that they didn't have one wide receiver go over 500 yards.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: There are different ways to do things.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: They were tight-end centric at that time.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but this is new John this is a new scheme with an OC that is implementing a different offense that doesn't suit the quarterback and you've taken away from the quarterback.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a top three or top five receiver who's paid by the way, big devons.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: I know we can't you can't go back in time.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: What's done is done.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it's very easy to play Monday morning quarterback.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: But at the end of the day, if the narrative after every game is that the offense didn't have the ability to put up enough yardage or to convert enough third downs or to play ahead of the sticks.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it comes down to the decisions that were made.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: with the insertion of this offense and that's does the vante Smith's great player.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: But the vante is the vante Smith a better player without AJ Brown or is he the same player as he was with AJ Brown or is he now
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: a completely different player because defensively, he becomes the guy that the defensive coordinators want to shut down.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he certainly does.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's going to be more difficult for him, because he's going to be the guy everybody focused on stopping.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: So does it become a different player now?
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's the same player.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: Again, expectations, he'll probably have more if he stays healthy.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: He'll probably have more receiving the artist because he's gonna have more targets.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, compared to NBA scores, if you shoot at 30 times, you're gonna score more than if you shoot at 20 times.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, soon, so at least anyway.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: on an average day, you know, if you're playing at the same level.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, perception to me is not the concern.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: I get everybody's, you know, that's what people are going to look at, but that's what if you're trying to win and that's the Eagles goal.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's not really, you know, creating.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's got 1300 yards, you know, it's not, it's not the goal is to go win the game and if you play effectively, that the numbers will take care of themselves, but yeah, I mean, it's a big question.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Look, McIntyre lemon's got to be an immediate contributor to media contributor down, taping wakes has to be an immediate contributor.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Neither is proven.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Wix has been in Green Bay for three years.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's his high level is 39 receptions.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: He was the fourth or fifth receiver on the team.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: The Eagles are obviously projecting more here.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: They're projecting that he can be better than that.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're projecting that Mackay Dilemon could be a contributor near one coming out of Southern California.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: uh, they're on through it.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you got to see it.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but those are those have to be.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: The other two guys you're going to play even though.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the personnel groupings are are are going to be varied and you're going to have a lot of two tight ends at some three tight ends.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: You're still going to be playing 11 and that's three wide receivers more than anything else.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: So you need to have three.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: At the bare minimum competent wide receivers and that's got to be Mackay lemon don't have in wicks along with the Bontesmith because you start talking about Hollywood Brown and.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: Elijah Moore.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's not going to be good enough.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, it's going to be more difficult.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be more difficult for Sean Manion.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be more difficult for jail and hurts in the passing game to not have AJ Brown.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's anybody who doubts that is just
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: But again, that's where you need to improve the running game.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: So third and 13 turns in the third and full war.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then the defense is on their heels because you can run it, you can throw it, whereas they can't pin their ears back.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to do it differently.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be more efficient, you have to be more, and I think they will be because a bunch of guys had poor seasons last year.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: starting with the offensive line.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: The offensive line is the crux to it all.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's always been the crux to it all.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys are healthy and playing at a high level.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: Everything will be fine.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: If I get it, everybody's obsessed with the playmakers.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: I say it all the time.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say it again.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: You can't play offense if you're can't block people.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: can't do it.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, make sense.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: You can have an AJ Brown T.O.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: and Randy Moss at wide receiver.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: Can't block anybody.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: Can't get him to football.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: But everybody's obsessed, crossing with this playmakers.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: What is this guy going to get?
- 31:32[SPEAKER_00]: Fantasy football.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: What is this guy going to get?
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny Mack, how many yards
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's about the big guys up front, why I sit standing, say to anyone that'll listen.
