- 0:00Speaker 1: Kyle and Fugg, what do we need to know today?
- 0:02Speaker 2: Imagine showing up to work and finding out your company
- 0:05Speaker 2: is now offering 60,000 people money to leave. Not 60,000,
- 0:10Speaker 2: 60,000 people in your company are getting offered money to quit.
- 0:14Speaker 2: That's what's happening right now at Microsoft. Employees around the
- 0:17Speaker 2: world are being offered voluntary buyouts. They're giving them six
- 0:21Speaker 2: to nine months pay, some even more. It's happening as
- 0:24Speaker 2: the company continues investing billions of dollars into artificial intelligence.
- 0:28Speaker 3: And they're saying, look, we have to put our money here.
- 0:30Speaker 2: So while basically before you get kicked out, because AI,
- 0:36Speaker 2: we're going to pay you if you want to leave.
- 0:38Speaker 2: But if you stay, there's no word on how long
- 0:41Speaker 2: you'll be staying.
- 0:42Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure they're like, if the price is right.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Like what a sticky situation.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Six to nine months. That's a long time.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that, that. I do not envy that position. That's
- 0:50Speaker 3: a tough position to be in for those who work
- 0:52Speaker 3: at Microsoft.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Dictionary.com just announced its 2026.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Word of the year is maxing.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Word maxing added on to basically everything on social media
- 1:03Speaker 2: just basically means what it sounds like, overdoing.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Usually when they announce the word of the year, it's
- 1:10Speaker 4: the word that we're all sick of and would like
- 1:11Speaker 4: to see go away. And in this case, I think
- 1:13Speaker 4: maxing is one of those.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but like maxing, it stemmed from that clavicular guy,
- 1:17Speaker 2: and I don't love this for his ego.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Sleep maxing, looks maxing, fiber maxing, protein maxing, sport mom maxing.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I mean, whatever it is.
- 1:27Speaker 1: DJ maxing.
- 1:27Speaker 3: If you're overdoing your life.
- 1:29Speaker 5: DJ maxing.
- 1:30Speaker 3: It is now the word of the year.
- 1:33Speaker 2: This sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.
- 1:35Speaker 2: A doctor just performed surgery on a patient who was
- 1:39Speaker 2: 35 miles away using a robotic system to operate.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Without even being in the same room.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Doctors say technology like this could eventually mean people in
- 1:47Speaker 2: smaller communities won't have to travel hours to get specialized surgery.
- 1:51Speaker 2: It's like the future in medicine is here. it's really
- 1:56Speaker 2: annoying when you see a price on the shelf at
- 1:59Speaker 2: a store and then you get up to the register
- 2:01Speaker 2: and it costs more. This literally just happened to me
- 2:04Speaker 2: the other day. And now Arizona is actually joining a
- 2:07Speaker 2: lawsuit against Dollar General for doing exactly that. The lawsuit
- 2:10Speaker 2: claims customers have been charged more than the advertised prices
- 2:13Speaker 2: and now the company could have to answer for it.
- 2:15Speaker 3: It's kind of not cool.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Dollar General. I get the Dollar General mixed up with
- 2:20Speaker 6: the other dollar stores, right? Dollar Tree.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Dollar Tree.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Dollar Tree. Maybe that's it.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I love Dollar Tree.
- 2:24Speaker 1: So Dollar Tree, I think that's what's on Thomas right
- 2:26Speaker 1: over here, right over there.
- 2:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:27Speaker 6: And that's the one I go to for my nose spray.
- 2:30Speaker 6: And my wife was going there the other day and
- 2:31Speaker 6: I have plenty of nose spray right now, but she was, Hey,
- 2:33Speaker 6: I'm going to Dollar Store.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Do you want anything? And I said, can you give
- 2:35Speaker 1: me the nose spray? She goes, yeah. So she goes
- 2:38Speaker 1: in there. She calls me. Guess what? It's now a spirit.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's not a Dollar Tree.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Those spirits pop up everywhere.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Is it going to turn back into a Dollar Tree?
- 2:49Speaker 1: How does a Dollar Tree? That store was packed all
- 2:51Speaker 1: the time. What happened?
- 2:52Speaker 3: I don't know. That's pretty wild.
- 2:53Speaker 1: How sad.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I know.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's sad.
- 2:54Speaker 3: This is actually wild.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Major League Baseball is testing a pretty crazy new rule
- 3:01Speaker 2: right here.
- 3:01Speaker 3: It's in Scottsdale right now for the fall league.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And they're making outfielders stand closer to the infield and
- 3:08Speaker 2: restricting where they move before the pitch, basically making it
- 3:12Speaker 2: harder for outfielders to catch like hot flies.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Or deep balls.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I wonder why they'd switch that.
- 3:18Speaker 2: They're doing it because they, the major league baseball apparently
- 3:21Speaker 2: wants more doubles and triples because it's more exciting for
- 3:24Speaker 2: fans to watch. So they want to make it extremely
- 3:27Speaker 2: hard for those outfielders to catch the balls.
- 3:29Speaker 6: The TikTok generation can't sit through nine innings of baseball.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It's too slow.
- 3:33Speaker 3: That's why banana ball is so important, like so popular.
- 3:36Speaker 4: They changed the pitch clock so it does move faster.
- 3:38Speaker 3: The games do go faster. It does move faster, yes.
- 3:41Speaker 2: But apparently this new rule that they're testing has already
- 3:44Speaker 2: worked because in one game that they were testing it in,
- 3:47Speaker 2: They had five triples, which was a league record. They're
- 3:50Speaker 2: testing it with the minor league prospects right now. But
- 3:53Speaker 2: if it keeps going well and they think that this
- 3:55Speaker 2: could work, it may eventually change how Major League Baseball
- 3:59Speaker 2: is played.
- 4:00Speaker 3: And it would really suck for those outfielders.
- 4:02Speaker 1: They should do it tonight. Isn't the game four tonight?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yeah. Milwaukee didn't seem to have any problems last night.
- 4:07Speaker 4: They went like 10-1, something like that. They're a game
- 4:10Speaker 4: away from a sweep.
- 4:11Speaker 3: It would be big. And that's what you need to know.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Jocelyn. Hey.
- 4:17Speaker 6: All right, so people have been calling us and describing
- 4:19Speaker 6: their job in a few words, but also being creepy
- 4:22Speaker 6: and mysterious.
- 4:23Speaker 1: What's your job?
- 4:26Speaker 5: I take your sons and I dangle them upside down
- 4:29Speaker 5: for hours.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Your sons? Are you in Stranger Things?
- 4:36Speaker 4: I take your sons and I dangle them upside down
- 4:39Speaker 4: for hours. Maybe you're a gym teacher or a gymnast teacher.
- 4:46Speaker 5: Yes, I am a boys gymnastics coach.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Oh, that's a good workout, right? I love a good riddle.
- 4:53Speaker 1: How long have you been doing that?
- 4:55Speaker 5: Oh, man. I've been doing boys for about 15 years,
- 4:58Speaker 5: and I did girls before that.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Anybody that you ever trained became a famous gymnast?
- 5:04Speaker 5: Not yet. I do the little ones, like, I don't know,
- 5:09Speaker 5: five-year-olds to about 10, 12-year-olds.
- 5:13Speaker 1: All three of my boys did that. I loved it.
- 5:14Speaker 1: It was great for them.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Yeah, both my sons are gymnasts also. My oldest is
- 5:18Speaker 5: at the Naval Academy.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Wow.
- 5:20Speaker 5: And he was on the national team, so that was something.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Oh, there you go. That should have been your answer.
- 5:25Speaker 1: That's a great answer. Way to go, Jocelyn.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Well, thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Yeah, have a great day, y'all.
- 5:33Speaker 1: You too.
