Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: He Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I'm Martin and you are listening to another weekend edition
- 0:12Speaker 1: of Dad's Bedtime Stories, where I have taken to making
- 0:16Speaker 1: compilation episodes super stories, if you will, of some of
- 0:21Speaker 1: my other series. Last time I posted one, I had
- 0:25Speaker 1: someone that goes by the name of Scott on Spotify anyways,
- 0:31Speaker 1: but you know, probably not his real name, suggests that
- 0:34Speaker 1: I do a summer camp planet compilation.
- 0:37Speaker 2: So that's exactly what we're going to do today.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Now, technically this series does take place in the Spaceship universe,
- 0:44Speaker 1: but you barely even need to understand that, because all
- 0:47Speaker 1: that really happens is you and Spaceship decide to go
- 0:51Speaker 1: to a special planet where they have all sorts of
- 0:54Speaker 1: different summer camps, and it's a generally pretty good time,
- 0:59Speaker 1: a good time that we should probably get onto right now,
- 1:03Speaker 1: after a possible word from a possible sponsor, of course,
- 1:09Speaker 1: time to get as comfy as you can in that bed,
- 1:12Speaker 1: close your eyes and imagine yourself doing what the kid
- 1:17Speaker 1: in the story does. Now, if you've never listened to
- 1:21Speaker 1: an episode from my Spaceship series, all you really need
- 1:25Speaker 1: to know is that you are the main character, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: you have a spaceship, a spaceship that can turn into
- 1:33Speaker 1: just about anything and go just about anywhere. Imagine yourself
- 1:41Speaker 1: waking up on that spaceship.
- 1:44Speaker 2: You get out of bed.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And head through the bedroom door, where you find a
- 1:51Speaker 1: fully equipped spaceship, a living room with a TV and
- 1:57Speaker 1: video games, a reading area, an area with toys, a
- 2:02Speaker 1: fully equipped kitchen, and of course, a command center with
- 2:08Speaker 1: two chairs and a large viewscreen. Good morning, Spaceship says, Oh, good.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Morning, spaceship. Anything you want to do today? You ask?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yes, In fact, I have a special mission that I
- 2:28Speaker 1: will need to go on by myself. Oh uh, okay,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you respond, Are you just gonna drop me off at home?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Then?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Are you sure he can't help? No, this is something
- 2:44Speaker 1: I must do on my own. However, dropping you off
- 2:50Speaker 1: at home will not be necessary.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I believe I.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Have something even more exciting in mind. The display lights up,
- 3:02Speaker 1: showing you a view of the outside of the spaceship.
- 3:07Speaker 1: On it, you see a beautiful blue planet covered in
- 3:12Speaker 1: green and white, a planet that looks a lot like Earth.
- 3:17Speaker 1: In fact, welcome to the summer camp planet, spaceship says,
- 3:24Speaker 1: This planet has camps of any kind. You could possibly imagine.
- 3:31Speaker 1: How about I sign you up for a couple of
- 3:34Speaker 1: days while I am away on my mission. Spaceship says,
- 3:41Speaker 1: I guess that could be cool. No harm in checking
- 3:45Speaker 1: it out anyways, understood, Spaceship responds, and with that, you
- 3:53Speaker 1: fly down through the atmosphere below the clouds until you
- 3:59Speaker 1: find gigantic parking lot one with spaceships of all different
- 4:06Speaker 1: shapes and sizes parked side by side surrounding a large
- 4:12Speaker 1: log cabin. When the spaceship lands, a door at the
- 4:18Speaker 1: side of the ship hisses open, revealing the spaceship robot.
- 4:25Speaker 1: What's that for, you, ask Spaceship. Well, most summer camps
- 4:31Speaker 1: require a parent or guardian to sign you up. I
- 4:36Speaker 1: am hoping that this robot can fulfill that role. The
- 4:42Speaker 1: outside of the robot starts to sort of flicker, and
- 4:47Speaker 1: then it forms into a very familiar face and very
- 4:53Speaker 1: familiar body that of one of your parents or guardians. Oh,
- 5:03Speaker 1: you say, that looks just like them, I know, Spaceship responds,
- 5:11Speaker 1: I scanned their likeness to create this illusion.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Follow me.
- 5:19Speaker 1: With that, The robot begins walking towards the back of
- 5:24Speaker 1: the ship and the doors open up. You follow behind
- 5:29Speaker 1: your parent or guardian robot as.
- 5:33Speaker 2: It leads you out of the ship.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Across the parking lot and into the main registration area. There,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you're greeted by a kind looking woman holding a clipboard
- 5:48Speaker 1: will welcome to the Summer Cab Planet. The person says,
- 5:56Speaker 1: my name is miss Mabel. Have you pre registered for
- 6:02Speaker 1: any summer camp at ventures? She asks, Uh, not yet?
- 6:09Speaker 1: You respond? Is there anything you can suggest where we
- 6:16Speaker 1: have many very exciting options?
- 6:20Speaker 2: Follow me.
- 6:21Speaker 1: She gestures for you to follow her and leads you
- 6:25Speaker 1: up to a gigantic view screen, a view screen the
- 6:30Speaker 1: size of an enormous window. Where, then, have some of
- 6:36Speaker 1: our most popular options are available here?
- 6:41Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 6:42Speaker 1: The view screen changes and displays an area with a
- 6:47Speaker 1: large castle and people flying around on broomsticks. This is wizardrycap,
- 6:56Speaker 1: a place where you can practice learning magic, practicing wizardry,
- 7:03Speaker 1: and flying around on brooms. It's a very popular option,
- 7:09Speaker 1: especially for fans of Harry Potter and then that sort
- 7:14Speaker 1: of thing. She says, Uh, okay, that does look kind
- 7:19Speaker 1: of cool. What else do you have?
- 7:21Speaker 2: You ask?
- 7:23Speaker 1: With that, the screen changes to what looks like the
- 7:26Speaker 1: inside of a concert hall.
- 7:29Speaker 2: This is rock Star camp.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Guitar battles, laser light shows, that sort of thing. If
- 7:38Speaker 1: you've ever wondered what it's like to become a true
- 7:43Speaker 1: well rock star, this is your chance. Uh, maybe we're
- 7:51Speaker 1: gonna put that in the maybe category, you respond. The
- 7:55Speaker 1: screen switches again. How about spice, sneaking, missions, lays, amazes,
- 8:05Speaker 1: code breaking, Miss Mabel says, cool, cool, Yeah, that does
- 8:10Speaker 1: seem cool.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Anything else?
- 8:13Speaker 1: We have endless possibilities, hundreds of different cams on this
- 8:19Speaker 1: planet alone. There's Alien Animal Care Camp where you learn
- 8:25Speaker 1: to care for animal aliens. The screen changes to a
- 8:29Speaker 1: picture of that. There's Treasure Hunter camp, maps and clues
- 8:35Speaker 1: and well treasure, of course. The screen changes once again
- 8:42Speaker 1: to a bunch of kids wearing Safari uniforms hunting for treasure.
- 8:48Speaker 1: We have robot build a cab, food fight camp, underwater cab,
- 8:55Speaker 1: Miss Mabel says, as she continues to flip the screened
- 8:59Speaker 1: video of each of the different camps. Do you have
- 9:04Speaker 1: just like a normal summer camp?
- 9:08Speaker 2: You ask? A normal summer camp.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like one where you go kayaking and
- 9:18Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe some like high ropes or rock
- 9:21Speaker 1: climbing and archery that sort of thing. You say, Ah,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I believe I have the perfect camp for you, Adventure Camp.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Adventure Camp includes high ropes, ziplining, kayaking, wakeboarding, water skiing,
- 9:43Speaker 1: archery crafts, and more. To make it super authentic, we
- 9:51Speaker 1: even make gigantic batches of juice using huge garbage cans.
- 9:59Speaker 2: She says.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And the garbage can thing seems like a detail that
- 10:03Speaker 1: wasn't necessary, but it does certainly remind you of summer camp.
- 10:10Speaker 1: As you watch the screen, videos of kids zipping across lines, climbing,
- 10:16Speaker 1: rock climbing walls, kayaking, swimming, skiing, and generally having a
- 10:23Speaker 1: good time flash on the screen in front of you. Ugh,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I think that's exactly the camp I want.
- 10:33Speaker 2: You say, well, very good. Now all we need is
- 10:39Speaker 2: the payment.
- 10:41Speaker 1: That camp for a couple of days here comes to
- 10:45Speaker 1: exactly ten thousand gold coins. You just stand there staring
- 10:53Speaker 1: at the woman, eyes wide open. Ten Did you say
- 10:59Speaker 1: ten thousand gold coins?
- 11:04Speaker 2: Why?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yes, that's exactly what I said, Miss Mabel replies. Now,
- 11:10Speaker 1: most people save up for summer cab throughout the year.
- 11:14Speaker 1: We even have payment plans, but when you just suddenly
- 11:18Speaker 1: show up here last minute looking for a spot, you
- 11:22Speaker 1: have to.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Pay a premium.
- 11:24Speaker 1: The spaceship robot, currently disguised as one of your parents
- 11:28Speaker 1: or guardians, walks up beside you. That will not be
- 11:33Speaker 1: a problem, the robot says, My robots will be here
- 11:38Speaker 1: in just a second.
- 11:40Speaker 2: With the gold. Uh.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Spaceship, you whisper, Are you sure we can afford this
- 11:47Speaker 1: kind of thing? Don't worry, Spaceship responds. My ship is
- 11:53Speaker 1: equipped with a datomizer. I have the ability to break
- 11:59Speaker 1: down matter into its very atoms and then reform it
- 12:04Speaker 1: into new elements. Three D printing gold is certainly possible. Soon,
- 12:13Speaker 1: a team of robots flies in carrying a large treasure
- 12:18Speaker 1: chest that they drop on the ground in front of
- 12:21Speaker 1: Miss Mabel.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Where very good payments done.
- 12:28Speaker 1: A parent just sign here, she says, handing over the clipboard,
- 12:34Speaker 1: which your parental robot signs as quickly as possible and
- 12:38Speaker 1: hands back. Now here is the map to Adventure Camp.
- 12:44Speaker 1: You are expected there in no less than thirty minutes. Understood,
- 12:51Speaker 1: your parental robot responds, and with that the two of
- 12:56Speaker 1: you leave the building, walk back onto Spaceship, and take
- 13:00Speaker 1: to the air once again. As you follow the map
- 13:05Speaker 1: to the Summer Camp planet, you pass over endless different
- 13:10Speaker 1: versions of Summer Camp until you come to an area
- 13:14Speaker 1: surrounded by forests and lake. You land the spaceship in
- 13:20Speaker 1: a large gravel parking lot and the back door opens
- 13:24Speaker 1: up here. Don't forget your things, Spaceship says, handing you
- 13:31Speaker 1: a large duffel bag.
- 13:33Speaker 2: You grab the bag and swing it over your shoulder.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I have also taken the liberty of programming your watch
- 13:41Speaker 1: with a number of skills that I believe could be
- 13:45Speaker 1: helpful on this particular camp. Wakeboarding, water skiing, climbing, that
- 13:53Speaker 1: sort of thing. H Thanks, Spaceship that could come in
- 13:58Speaker 1: handy say, as you look down towards your high tech watch.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Now be sure to have fun. As you step off
- 14:10Speaker 1: of the ship onto the gravel driveway, the ship floats
- 14:14Speaker 1: up in the air and blasts off into space once again,
- 14:19Speaker 1: leaving you behind on the summer camp planet, that adventure
- 14:25Speaker 1: camp of all places, Mara than Camper. A voice says
- 14:30Speaker 1: from behind you, I believe you're with me. My name's
- 14:36Speaker 1: Ranger Rick. Ranger Rick is a fairly large and interesting
- 14:43Speaker 1: looking human wearing a raccoon hat. These here are some
- 14:48Speaker 1: of the other campers that are gonna be in your cabin. First,
- 14:53Speaker 1: we got Jacks. Jack steps forward, he looks very cun
- 15:01Speaker 1: Now Jack's here actually won the zip line prize last
- 15:06Speaker 1: time he was here, so someone to watch out for.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Next up we have a Marina. Ranger Rick explains. Marina
- 15:17Speaker 1: is an expert kayaker.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Man.
- 15:20Speaker 1: If you need any tips on that sort of thing,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you should just ask her. And last we have Pip.
- 15:30Speaker 1: A very small, very nervous looking kid steps forward.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Hi there, they say.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Now Pip is well one of our more shy campers.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But you couldn't ask for a better friend. But it's
- 15:47Speaker 1: time to get going and see the bunk. Follow me, kids,
- 15:53Speaker 1: Ranger Rick leads you down a gravel path towards a
- 15:57Speaker 1: whole bunch of cabins and go over the camp rules
- 16:01Speaker 1: as you walk. All right, now, the number one camp
- 16:06Speaker 1: rule is don't feed the invisible squirrels. Now, we don't
- 16:10Speaker 1: care too much if you feed the normal visible squirrels,
- 16:14Speaker 1: but the invisible ones should be left alone at all
- 16:19Speaker 1: and I mean all costs.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Man.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Besides that, the main rule is to be nice to everyone,
- 16:27Speaker 1: treat them the way you might want to be treated,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and we'll have a good camping experience. You stop at
- 16:35Speaker 1: the cabin first, where you claim a very comfy looking
- 16:39Speaker 1: bunk bed and have a chance to get changed for
- 16:43Speaker 1: the first day of activities. Now, the first day of
- 16:47Speaker 1: activities is water adventure day. We're talking wakeboard and water
- 16:54Speaker 1: ski and kayaking and of course a balloon fight back.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I recommend swimsuits, and of course life jackets are absolutely mandatory,
- 17:08Speaker 1: Rick says, gesturing towards a wall of different sized life jackets.
- 17:15Speaker 2: You look through your.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Bag and luckily all of your favorite swim stuff is there.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You get it on really quickly, grab one of the
- 17:25Speaker 1: life jackets and line up.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Ready to go.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Ranger Rick leads you down a path all the way
- 17:32Speaker 1: down towards a local lake where there's a whole bunch
- 17:37Speaker 1: of ski boats and wakeboard boats driving around in the water.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You watch as both Marina and Jack's take their turns wakeboarding.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Both of them seem like they've done it before. Well, Pip,
- 17:54Speaker 1: it's your turn, Ranger Rick says, are you ready to go?
- 18:00Speaker 1: I think I'd rather stay here in the boat. Pip says, well,
- 18:06Speaker 1: it's your loss, but if you change your mind later,
- 18:10Speaker 1: let me know. Kid that leaves you, strap this on,
- 18:15Speaker 1: he says, holding a week board out towards you. You
- 18:20Speaker 1: grab the board and place it on the platform at
- 18:22Speaker 1: the back. You slip in both of your feet and
- 18:27Speaker 1: gently fall into the water, grabbing on to the rope.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Never having weakboarded before, you start to get nervous. You
- 18:37Speaker 1: look at your watch and as the boat floats away
- 18:42Speaker 1: from you, taking up the rope, you flip through the
- 18:45Speaker 1: different screens until you get to the skills menu. Sure enough,
- 18:52Speaker 1: just as Spaceship promised, there's a picture of a weekboarding kid.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You press the button and suddenly memories start flying through
- 19:03Speaker 1: your mind. Memories from all sorts of different wakeboarders, Memories
- 19:10Speaker 1: of getting up on the board, moving back and forth,
- 19:15Speaker 1: jumping across the wake, doing all sorts of different front
- 19:19Speaker 1: flips and back flips. Suddenly you feel the rope tightened
- 19:25Speaker 1: and your mind snaps back to reality. Only you now
- 19:31Speaker 1: remember how to wakeboard. The boat starts up and you
- 19:36Speaker 1: instinctively pull the rope towards one of your hips, allowing
- 19:41Speaker 1: you to pop out of the water with ease. Jack's
- 19:46Speaker 1: Marina and Pip all clap for you. As soon as
- 19:49Speaker 1: you do. You lean to the one side and pop
- 19:54Speaker 1: outside the wake. You then switch edges and heads straight
- 20:01Speaker 1: for it. A large wave of water and as you
- 20:06Speaker 1: hit the wake, you instinctively jump up using your legs
- 20:11Speaker 1: and kind of press down on the rope at the
- 20:14Speaker 1: same time, you fly high up through the air all
- 20:19Speaker 1: the way across the wake to the other side, where
- 20:23Speaker 1: you land gracefully and continue cutting all the way to
- 20:28Speaker 1: the left. Pip Jacks and Marina now look absolutely stunned.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Feeling a little more confident and wanting to try something
- 20:40Speaker 1: even more impressive, you cut through the wake again, heading
- 20:45Speaker 1: straight towards it. Once again, you pop up as you
- 20:50Speaker 1: hit the wake, but this time you tuck your head
- 20:54Speaker 1: downwards and perform a perfect front flip, landing on the
- 21:00Speaker 1: opposite side of the wake.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Again.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Pass after pass, you do amazing weakeboard trick after wakeboard trick,
- 21:11Speaker 1: three sixty spins, backflips, front flips, barrel rolls, and a
- 21:19Speaker 1: move that many people call the Superman where you sort
- 21:23Speaker 1: of fling your legs up in the air behind you
- 21:27Speaker 1: until it looks like you're flying. The boat soon stops
- 21:32Speaker 1: and you slowly sink down into the water until you're
- 21:35Speaker 1: floating from your life jacket. Once again, the boat turns
- 21:40Speaker 1: around and comes over to pick you up. You pop
- 21:45Speaker 1: off the wakeboard and hand it up to your friends
- 21:47Speaker 1: in the boat. That was amazing, Marina says, I have
- 21:54Speaker 1: never seen somebody do that in real life. Are you
- 21:57Speaker 1: some sort of like weakboard ship pian or something like that?
- 22:01Speaker 2: She asks.
- 22:03Speaker 1: You wave off the praise, knowing that you didn't really
- 22:06Speaker 1: do it yourself. You kind of had the memories downloaded, alright,
- 22:11Speaker 1: Ranger Rick says, next up his tube in time. Rick
- 22:16Speaker 1: reaches down below the seat and unfolds something. He presses
- 22:21Speaker 1: a button on it, and immediately the thing starts to
- 22:25Speaker 1: inflate into a gigantic tube, a tube easily big enough
- 22:31Speaker 1: for four people. He attaches a rope to it, throws
- 22:36Speaker 1: the tube out behind the boat man gestures for the
- 22:40Speaker 1: four of you to climb on.
- 22:42Speaker 2: All right, Jack says, this is gonna be awesome.
- 22:47Speaker 1: This is totally gonna be awesome, Marina says, as she
- 22:52Speaker 1: too climbs onto the tube. You step towards the back,
- 22:56Speaker 1: ready to climb on as well, But Pip look a
- 23:01Speaker 1: little bit nervous.
- 23:03Speaker 3: I don't.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I don't know about that, Pip says, Come on, Pip,
- 23:09Speaker 1: it's gonna be fun.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I'll go right beside you. You can be in the middle.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Oh, I guess so Pip says, and then reluctantly climbs
- 23:22Speaker 1: on the tube, heading straight for the middle. You climb
- 23:26Speaker 1: on last and take the very left side. You all
- 23:31Speaker 1: grab a hold of some perfectly placed handles, laying down
- 23:36Speaker 1: on your stomachs. As the boat floats away from the
- 23:40Speaker 1: tube and the rope tightens, Ranger Rick guns the boat
- 23:47Speaker 1: and you hold on tight as you start skipping over
- 23:51Speaker 1: top of the water. Ranger Rick starts things off pretty easily,
- 23:57Speaker 1: gently lapping around the lake. It's a lot of fun,
- 24:02Speaker 1: and Pip actually starts to get the hang of it.
- 24:06Speaker 2: This is actually really cool, Pip says.
- 24:11Speaker 1: So with that, you and your friends start to make
- 24:14Speaker 1: gestures in the air, gestures to go faster and do
- 24:18Speaker 1: figure eights and create waves. So Ranger Rick obliges, suddenly
- 24:26Speaker 1: turning the boat around in a sharp curve, causing the
- 24:30Speaker 1: tube to fly out to the one side. It suddenly
- 24:34Speaker 1: feels like you're going way faster than you were before.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Ranger Rick heads straight towards the waves that the boat
- 24:44Speaker 1: already created, and you hold on tight as the boat
- 24:48Speaker 1: bounces over them and then the tube. As the tube
- 24:54Speaker 1: hits the waves, it flies about ten feet up into
- 24:58Speaker 1: the air, You and your friends scream as you fly
- 25:03Speaker 1: and then land softly on the water once again. Although
- 25:09Speaker 1: it was scary for a moment, once you land, it's
- 25:12Speaker 1: actually kind of exciting, and you and all of your
- 25:16Speaker 1: friends cheer. The ride continues like that, Ranger Rick spinning around,
- 25:24Speaker 1: creating more waves and then driving straight through them, trying
- 25:29Speaker 1: to knock you and your friends off of the tube. Unfortunately,
- 25:35Speaker 1: the four of you are far too good a well,
- 25:39Speaker 1: holding on incredibly tightly, which is the main skill you
- 25:43Speaker 1: need to go tubing. Soon, he brings the boat to
- 25:47Speaker 1: a stop and allows the four of you to climb
- 25:51Speaker 1: back on. You all give each other high fives and
- 25:55Speaker 1: pull the tube back up on top the boat. Doc
- 26:00Speaker 1: sent Ranger Rick leads you over towards the kayaks. Now
- 26:06Speaker 1: it's time to go on a kayaking adventure. Now, for
- 26:11Speaker 1: those of you who haven't been to adventure camp before,
- 26:16Speaker 1: you might not know that we have a special river,
- 26:20Speaker 1: a race river, one that leads us around in a loop,
- 26:25Speaker 1: completely defying gravity. Now I'll go first and demonstrate, and
- 26:32Speaker 1: Marina can follow behind. Just watch what we do and
- 26:37Speaker 1: kind of copy. All you really have to do is
- 26:41Speaker 1: steer a bit. The river does the rest. You watch
- 26:46Speaker 1: as Ranger Rick and Marina both climb into little kayaks.
- 26:51Speaker 1: You Pip and Jacks more reluctantly do the same thing,
- 26:56Speaker 1: sliding inside the long tubular thing and grabbing a hold
- 27:02Speaker 1: of a two sided paddle. Our rat folks this way,
- 27:06Speaker 1: don't worry. It starts off easy. Ranger Rick gives the
- 27:11Speaker 1: kayak a push and it immediately gets caught by a
- 27:16Speaker 1: current leading you up a river, which isn't a direction
- 27:21Speaker 1: a river should even go, but it is kind of fun.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Ranger Rick and Marine A demonstrate how you can steer
- 27:30Speaker 1: left and right by just dragging your paddle on one
- 27:34Speaker 1: side or the other. In the first section of the course,
- 27:38Speaker 1: you make your way through some floating boys moving left
- 27:42Speaker 1: and right, But soon the river starts to get a
- 27:46Speaker 1: little bit rougher and faster. Why they don't like this,
- 27:53Speaker 1: Pip says, don't worry about it. Marina replies, this is
- 27:59Speaker 1: so much fun, and if you fall out, the river
- 28:04Speaker 1: just kind of instantly pulls you over to the side,
- 28:07Speaker 1: so there's really nothing.
- 28:08Speaker 2: To worry about.
- 28:09Speaker 1: The river starts to speed up more and more, with
- 28:13Speaker 1: all sorts of obstacles rocks and logs to steer around.
- 28:19Speaker 1: You splash through the water, but you learn pretty quickly
- 28:23Speaker 1: that you can steer without much trouble at all, without
- 28:28Speaker 1: the need to really paddle forward. All you really have
- 28:31Speaker 1: to do is stick your paddle in on one side
- 28:34Speaker 1: or the other, causing you to turn left or right.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You steer your way around the rocks, following Ranger Rick
- 28:44Speaker 1: and Marina, and soon you hit a curve in the
- 28:48Speaker 1: river which starts heading back in the other direction. Once again,
- 28:54Speaker 1: you steer around logs over rocks until Ranger Rick announces
- 29:01Speaker 1: something mile right. Then, folks, now we're gonna head down
- 29:06Speaker 1: towards what I call the beaver tail. Don't worry, it's
- 29:11Speaker 1: just like being on a slide. As long as you
- 29:14Speaker 1: go with the flow, you shouldn't have troubled at all.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Ranger Rick then falls over the edge of what looks
- 29:24Speaker 1: like a waterfall from where you are dropping down to
- 29:28Speaker 1: who knows where, he says as he flies down. Marina
- 29:37Speaker 1: heads behind him, and Jack's behind her. I'm kind of scared,
- 29:44Speaker 1: Pip says. Don't worry, Pip, we'll do it together. You
- 29:49Speaker 1: grab a hold of Pip's kayak and pull it in
- 29:52Speaker 1: towards you as you approach the edge, when you look
- 29:57Speaker 1: over the other side. Isn't as steep as you thought,
- 30:01Speaker 1: but it certainly does resemble a water slide more than
- 30:05Speaker 1: a river. As the boats tip over the edge, you
- 30:10Speaker 1: begin to go faster and faster and faster, zigzagging left
- 30:16Speaker 1: and right, going up and down, and soon flying out
- 30:22Speaker 1: the bottom at incredible speed. Your momentum takes you and
- 30:27Speaker 1: Pip straight out of the river and into the lake
- 30:32Speaker 1: where you were just weakboarding earlier on. Soon enough, without
- 30:37Speaker 1: the current, the boats slow down and you look over
- 30:41Speaker 1: at Pip that.
- 30:45Speaker 2: That was awesome, Pip says.
- 30:49Speaker 1: You let go of Pip's kayak and you both use
- 30:52Speaker 1: your paddles to paddle back towards shore. Mal Right, folks,
- 30:58Speaker 1: well seems to me it's just about dinner time. We're
- 31:02Speaker 1: going to head there, get some rest and be ready
- 31:06Speaker 1: to go tomorrow. You pull the kayaks up on shore,
- 31:12Speaker 1: walk back to your cabin, where you change into dry
- 31:16Speaker 1: and comfortable clothes, and then head to the dining hall.
- 31:21Speaker 1: The dining hall is a gigantic area with kind of
- 31:25Speaker 1: picnic table style seating in all directions. There's all sorts
- 31:30Speaker 1: of different campers there, each sitting at their own designated
- 31:34Speaker 1: table now, kids, this here's our table. And there's only
- 31:40Speaker 1: really one rule to eat and at this here place,
- 31:44Speaker 1: and that's to take what you want, but eat what
- 31:47Speaker 1: you take. Don't be going in there and putting a
- 31:51Speaker 1: bunch of food on your plate that you can't finish.
- 31:55Speaker 1: We weigh all the leftovers in the end, then the
- 31:59Speaker 1: table with the least wins. You head with your friends
- 32:04Speaker 1: into the serving area, grab a plate, and then take
- 32:10Speaker 1: your pick from an amazing buffet, a buffet of almost
- 32:15Speaker 1: every kind of food you could imagine, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, tacos, everything.
- 32:24Speaker 1: You fill your plate up, remembering that you are going
- 32:28Speaker 1: to have to eat everything you get, and head out
- 32:32Speaker 1: to eat with your friends. After the camp director makes
- 32:36Speaker 1: you sing a song about the earth and Johnny Appleseed.
- 32:40Speaker 1: For some reason, you scarf down. The food measure what's
- 32:45Speaker 1: left over, and a prize is given to the winning table,
- 32:49Speaker 1: which unfortunately is not yours in this case. After dinner,
- 32:55Speaker 1: you head to a communal campfire where you roast marshmallow
- 33:01Speaker 1: and sing repeat after me songs that seem somewhat nonsensical,
- 33:07Speaker 1: something about a boom, chick a boom or something like that.
- 33:13Speaker 1: When the fun at the campfires over, you head back
- 33:17Speaker 1: to your cabin. All right there, straight to sleep, Ranger
- 33:22Speaker 1: Rick says as he enters his own little bedroom, a
- 33:27Speaker 1: separate one inside the cabin.
- 33:30Speaker 2: You go over towards your.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Bunk, climb on top, and pull the covers up over
- 33:36Speaker 1: top of yourself. Good Night everyone, You say to your
- 33:41Speaker 1: friends good night. They say back, and you close your eyes.
- 33:49Speaker 1: You start to think about what exactly will happen tomorrow
- 33:56Speaker 1: On well, the Summer Camp plan it Part two. You
- 34:03Speaker 1: just start to focus on your breath, and with each
- 34:07Speaker 1: breath you sink down deeper and deeper into the mattress,
- 34:14Speaker 1: letting go of any tension in your arms, your legs,
- 34:20Speaker 1: your shoulders, your neck, your head, and then slowly drifting
- 34:28Speaker 1: off to thoughts of new dreams and new adventures to come.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Good Night everyone. Imagine yourself waking up. You look around
- 34:44Speaker 1: and you realize that you're in your summer camp cabin.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Oh.
- 34:52Speaker 1: You swing your legs over the side of the bed,
- 34:56Speaker 1: and you watch as the other campers wake up as well,
- 35:00Speaker 1: rise and shine. Camber's Ranger Rick says, today is the
- 35:06Speaker 1: day to conquer the skies. After breakfast, anyways, you all
- 35:13Speaker 1: quickly get dressed in your best hiking and climbing sort
- 35:18Speaker 1: of gear. Then you head to the main lodge to
- 35:21Speaker 1: have another epic breakfast. Ranger Rick reminds you, my right, kids,
- 35:29Speaker 1: don't forget to take what you want, but eat what
- 35:33Speaker 1: you take. You head into the breakfast buffet line, which
- 35:39Speaker 1: has pretty much every kind of breakfast food you can imagine.
- 35:43Speaker 2: You take a.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Little bit of this, a little bit of that, until
- 35:47Speaker 1: your plate is full of all your favorite breakfast foods.
- 35:53Speaker 1: After singing a song about how the Earth is good
- 35:56Speaker 1: to you and Johnny Appleseed or something like that, you
- 36:01Speaker 1: dig in. It's an absolutely delicious breakfast, but you're we
- 36:07Speaker 1: more excited about what comes next climbing and zip lines
- 36:13Speaker 1: and high ropes courses. After clearing off the table together
- 36:18Speaker 1: as a group, Ranger Rick leads you down a path
- 36:24Speaker 1: and through the woods until you come to a gigantic
- 36:29Speaker 1: outdoor climbing wall. Now it's an artificial climbing wall, of course,
- 36:35Speaker 1: with all kinds of different footholds and automatic blaze systems
- 36:42Speaker 1: that are set up at the very top with ropes
- 36:45Speaker 1: that lead all the way down to the ground. They're
- 36:49Speaker 1: clipped on to keep them in place. Mirag kids, Ranger
- 36:54Speaker 1: Rick says, it's time to get on the climbing gear.
- 36:58Speaker 1: What you're gonna need for today is a climbing harness,
- 37:03Speaker 1: a climbing helmet, and of course, some climbing shoes. I
- 37:09Speaker 1: hope you're already with your ninja skills, he suggests, Ninja skills.
- 37:17Speaker 1: You think, I wonder if spaceship programmed ninja skills and
- 37:23Speaker 1: memories into my watch. Well, Ranger Rick finds harnesses and
- 37:28Speaker 1: helmets that fit all of the other campers. You start
- 37:33Speaker 1: to flip through your watch until eventually you come to
- 37:37Speaker 1: a selection of memories for ninja skills. Well, they should
- 37:44Speaker 1: work perfectly. You think, I'm kind of scared. A voice
- 37:51Speaker 1: beside you says. You look over to see Pip, the
- 37:55Speaker 1: timid one of the group, shaking and holding his arm
- 38:00Speaker 1: around his body. Ah, don't be scared, Ranger Rick says.
- 38:06Speaker 1: When you're attached to this rope here, you can't even
- 38:09Speaker 1: really fall. The worst that happens is you slowly move
- 38:14Speaker 1: back down to the ground.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I don't I don't know, Pip says.
- 38:21Speaker 1: And then you have an idea, Pip, Uh, why don't
- 38:26Speaker 1: we try something?
- 38:28Speaker 2: You say? Here? Grab my hand?
- 38:32Speaker 1: Oh okay, Pip says, and reluctantly reaches out and grabs
- 38:38Speaker 1: a hold of your hand. You move the watch up
- 38:41Speaker 1: towards your face and you hit the accept button using
- 38:46Speaker 1: the tip.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Of your nose.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Suddenly, memories start to rush through your mind. Memories of
- 38:55Speaker 1: training as a ninja, of climbing up ninja walls, of
- 39:00Speaker 1: jumping from platform to platform, that sort of thing. When
- 39:06Speaker 1: you open your eyes and the memories stop, you look
- 39:10Speaker 1: over to Pip, and Pip looks over to you. Did
- 39:15Speaker 1: you just see that, Pip says? I Did you respond?
- 39:23Speaker 1: Did you see that I did? Pip says, I think,
- 39:31Speaker 1: I think I know how to climb and jump band
- 39:35Speaker 1: I'll fight like a ninja for some reason?
- 39:39Speaker 2: What did you just do? Uh?
- 39:42Speaker 1: No time to explain that, you respond, Just get your
- 39:45Speaker 1: harness on range. Your Rick helps you and Pip get
- 39:49Speaker 1: your harness on, and then he walks you over to
- 39:53Speaker 1: the wall. He clips all of you onto the safety
- 39:57Speaker 1: line and then says, follow me, kids. You look up
- 40:03Speaker 1: and see that this wall goes really high. It seems
- 40:09Speaker 1: to disappear above the foggy tree tops, and it's shaped
- 40:15Speaker 1: like a twisting rock spiral with platforms ledges. Weird hand holds,
- 40:22Speaker 1: and of course those normal handholds you're used to. Well,
- 40:26Speaker 1: some routes look pretty easy, others look really difficult. You're
- 40:31Speaker 1: pretty sure. You see a rotating platform and some parts
- 40:36Speaker 1: are covered in green slime for no reason at all,
- 40:41Speaker 1: at least no reason you can think of. But with
- 40:44Speaker 1: the ninja memories currently downloaded into your brain, you feel
- 40:50Speaker 1: a sense of strength. You flex your fingers and adjust
- 40:56Speaker 1: your boots, then get a foothold and hand hold on
- 41:00Speaker 1: the wall. You look over at Pip and he looks
- 41:05Speaker 1: back over at you. Well that's a race, you say.
- 41:10Speaker 1: His eyes go wide. You're on, He responds. Ranger Rick
- 41:17Speaker 1: blows his whistle. Climbers go. You both take off up
- 41:24Speaker 1: the wall like geckos on some sort of turbo boost.
- 41:30Speaker 1: The first section is normal handholds, plastic knobs and ridges,
- 41:36Speaker 1: color coded for difficulty. Of course, you use only the
- 41:40Speaker 1: hardest ones, just to make it fun. Pip zooms up
- 41:45Speaker 1: beside you, flipping between grips like he's been doing this
- 41:49Speaker 1: his whole life. Halfway up, the wall tilts outwards slightly,
- 41:56Speaker 1: becoming kind of an overhang. Leap up in the air,
- 42:01Speaker 1: catch a spinning monkey bar. That's suspended over a gap
- 42:06Speaker 1: and land in a crouch on a ledge. Pip swings
- 42:11Speaker 1: a second later and lands with a skid beside you, laughing.
- 42:17Speaker 1: That was amazing, you say, and sure was, says Pip.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I never thought I could do something like this, You laugh,
- 42:28Speaker 1: and then take off again. The next section, or at
- 42:33Speaker 1: least the part of it that you've decided to climb,
- 42:36Speaker 1: is the slime wall. It's a tilted ramp covered in
- 42:41Speaker 1: slick green goop. But now then that there's for the
- 42:46Speaker 1: advanced climbers. I'm not so sure you should start with that,
- 42:51Speaker 1: Ranger Rick says, don't worry about me. You respond, I
- 42:57Speaker 1: think I can handle this. You and Pip charge at
- 43:02Speaker 1: it at full speed, hands grabbing on to the tiniest
- 43:07Speaker 1: little footholds, and feet gripping tightly. You easily maneuver your
- 43:13Speaker 1: way around the slime, instinctively avoiding any footholds or hand
- 43:18Speaker 1: holds that are covered in the stuff and grabbing on
- 43:22Speaker 1: to dry ones. Before long you reach the top of
- 43:26Speaker 1: the section. You look over at Ranger Rick, JACKX, and Marina,
- 43:33Speaker 1: who are all doing rather well climbing up a more
- 43:37Speaker 1: normal part of the wall. You look up at the
- 43:41Speaker 1: section you've currently been doing and see that the next
- 43:45Speaker 1: section has a whole bunch of spinning block hand holds.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Without hesitation, you leap into the section. You grab a
- 43:57Speaker 1: hold of one of the spinning hand holds and hold
- 44:01Speaker 1: on as it moves up the wall and around. Then,
- 44:06Speaker 1: pushing off the wall just a little bit, you leap
- 44:10Speaker 1: to the next one, much higher up, but somehow you
- 44:14Speaker 1: manage to just make it and grab on with the
- 44:18Speaker 1: tips of your fingers. You time each jump in each
- 44:23Speaker 1: movement perfectly, waiting for the spinning block to get to
- 44:27Speaker 1: the top, and then leaping using whatever foothold and hand
- 44:33Speaker 1: hold you can get to the next section. Before very
- 44:37Speaker 1: long at all, you climb up over the side of
- 44:41Speaker 1: the wall. Pip arrives just behind you. That was amazing,
- 44:47Speaker 1: you say, good job, Pip, good jomp to you too.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Pip says, I've never felt so alive and so capable.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I never thought I could do the advanced section when
- 45:03Speaker 1: Jackson Marina are only doing the normal section. Before long,
- 45:10Speaker 1: Ranger Rick, Marina and Jack's make it up as well.
- 45:15Speaker 1: To the side of the top of the climbing wall,
- 45:20Speaker 1: you see the high rope's course twisting through the forest
- 45:25Speaker 1: canopy like a jungle gym that was built by squirrels
- 45:30Speaker 1: who like extreme sports or something like that. It's divided
- 45:35Speaker 1: into three different levels, Beginner, Intermediate, and Legend mode. You,
- 45:43Speaker 1: of course, plan to try all of them. Ranger Rick
- 45:47Speaker 1: claps his hands. You'll be clipped into safety wires the
- 45:52Speaker 1: entire time, he says, as he begins to unclip you
- 45:58Speaker 1: and the other campers from the climbing wall and onto
- 46:02Speaker 1: a large safety wire that passes above the course. Worse
- 46:07Speaker 1: that can nappen if you fall is you just kind
- 46:11Speaker 1: of hang there for a little while until we can lower.
- 46:15Speaker 2: You to safety.
- 46:16Speaker 1: My honest, lead's not a big deal at all, but
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'm sure it seems scary now.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Who wants to go first?
- 46:26Speaker 1: You raise your hand, and volunteer Ranger Rick leads you
- 46:31Speaker 1: over to the beginning of one of the platforms. There
- 46:35Speaker 1: you meet another teenager. Hey there, my name's Blaze. The
- 46:42Speaker 1: person says, sunglasses, mohawk and of course the safety harness.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Welcome to the sky Zone. First, up here is the
- 46:56Speaker 1: Leap of Faith platforms. Ad you see a series of
- 47:02Speaker 1: wooden discs hovering in mid air, each one just big
- 47:08Speaker 1: enough for one foot.
- 47:10Speaker 2: They sway with the breeze back and forth. You jump
- 47:15Speaker 2: to the first, landing as light as a cat, then
- 47:19Speaker 2: to the.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Next and the next, catching your balance like its second nature.
- 47:26Speaker 1: The final leap requires a very long bound onto a
- 47:32Speaker 1: trampoline pad that seems to launch you to the next station.
- 47:38Speaker 1: You time your jump perfectly, leap up into the air,
- 47:42Speaker 1: bounce on the trampoline, which shoots you up into the
- 47:46Speaker 1: air again, perform a perfect front flip, of course, and
- 47:50Speaker 1: land gracefully on the next platform, where yet another counselor
- 47:57Speaker 1: is waiting, this one a team age girl with green hair.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Next up is the wobble beams. There's gonna be two
- 48:07Speaker 1: narrow planks side by side. They might look easy, but
- 48:12Speaker 1: they're gonna bounce with every step you take. Without hesitation,
- 48:19Speaker 1: you jump on to the narrow plank side by side.
- 48:25Speaker 1: You seem to sort of automatically adjust your balance. Then
- 48:31Speaker 1: you quickly dash across them like you're walking on air.
- 48:37Speaker 1: That was amazing, the person running them says. Next up
- 48:44Speaker 1: are a series of monkey rings, circular hand holds hanging
- 48:49Speaker 1: from cables. You look behind you and see Pitt easily
- 48:54Speaker 1: making it across the course as well, and ranger Rick
- 48:59Speaker 1: Jack sand Marina trailing far behind and going much more
- 49:05Speaker 1: cautiously than you. Without hesitation, you jump towards the first
- 49:11Speaker 1: monkey ring. You use your momentum to fly through the air,
- 49:17Speaker 1: let go and leap to the next one. Most people
- 49:22Speaker 1: would probably wait until they get a hold of the
- 49:25Speaker 1: next one to swing forward, but with your ninja skills,
- 49:30Speaker 1: you find it more natural to just sort of fly
- 49:34Speaker 1: through the air, skipping multiple rings at a time and
- 49:39Speaker 1: grabbing on to the furthest one you can.
- 49:42Speaker 2: It only takes you three.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Swings to make it all the way across to the
- 49:47Speaker 1: next platform. Pip lands on the platform beside you. You
- 49:53Speaker 1: find another teenage counselor standing on that platform. Ad job, guys,
- 50:01Speaker 1: I've never seen people with this much agility, the teenager says.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Next up is something we call the chaos walk. You
- 50:13Speaker 1: look out to a set of rope ladders that kind
- 50:18Speaker 1: of run from place to place. The goal here is
- 50:22Speaker 1: to run across the ladders, kind of like stepping stones,
- 50:27Speaker 1: and I recommend keeping your feet exactly in the middle,
- 50:32Speaker 1: or they'll twist and you'll fall. You step up on
- 50:37Speaker 1: the first ring of the ladder, and sure enough, it
- 50:41Speaker 1: wobbles back and forth, though you find if you put
- 50:46Speaker 1: your feet directly in the center, you actually have pretty
- 50:51Speaker 1: good balance. You close your eyes, take a deep breath,
- 50:57Speaker 1: and when you open them, you begin to run, leaping
- 51:01Speaker 1: from one rung of the ladder to the next, quickly
- 51:05Speaker 1: making your way across to the other side.
- 51:09Speaker 2: In front of.
- 51:10Speaker 1: You now ra a whole bunch of swinging logs. They
- 51:16Speaker 1: look like they're timed, so they sort of swing together
- 51:20Speaker 1: just long enough for you to jump from one to
- 51:23Speaker 1: the next. The same camp counselor as from the last
- 51:28Speaker 1: section walks across the rope ladder and jumps down. Wow,
- 51:34Speaker 1: that was amazing, But this next section is something that
- 51:39Speaker 1: very few campers make it across the first time. If
- 51:44Speaker 1: you want my advice, the best way to do it
- 51:47Speaker 1: is to sort of shimmy across the log on your
- 51:51Speaker 1: bum then to grab on to the next log with
- 51:56Speaker 1: your hands, hold on to keep them together, and transfer
- 52:01Speaker 1: from one log to the next. All right, you say,
- 52:06Speaker 1: I'll keep that in mind. As the log swings back
- 52:12Speaker 1: and forth, you close your eyes again, and you breathe
- 52:17Speaker 1: and sync with the log out as it swings away,
- 52:23Speaker 1: and as it swings in, and you suddenly open your
- 52:27Speaker 1: eyes and begin to run. Just as the log swings
- 52:32Speaker 1: towards you, you jump in the air and land on
- 52:36Speaker 1: the thing. You continue running to the other side as
- 52:40Speaker 1: it swings in the other direction, and without hesitation, you
- 52:44Speaker 1: leap off of the log, once again, performing a perfect
- 52:48Speaker 1: front flip and land on the next one. One log
- 52:53Speaker 1: to the next, you continue to run and leap and
- 52:57Speaker 1: do pretty cool aerial maneuver, backflips, handless cart wheels, that
- 53:04Speaker 1: sort of thing, until at the end of the final log,
- 53:10Speaker 1: you turn your body around, jump backwards, and perform a
- 53:15Speaker 1: perfect front flip, landing on the final platform. You hear
- 53:22Speaker 1: somebody clap beside you, and then the clap grows louder.
- 53:29Speaker 1: You look around to see multiple camp counselors, all standing
- 53:34Speaker 1: on their own platforms at their own stations, who are
- 53:38Speaker 1: clapping loudly and cheering for you. Before long, your friends
- 53:45Speaker 1: finally make it across. Marina and Jacks both fall in
- 53:49Speaker 1: the last section, but Ranger Rick helps pull them the
- 53:54Speaker 1: rest of the way on the safety line. Man helps
- 53:57Speaker 1: them onto the final platform all their kid. Ranger Rick says,
- 54:03Speaker 1: I've never seen someone move like that, at least not
- 54:08Speaker 1: a human. I didn't know some monkey like aliens that
- 54:11Speaker 1: could do something like that.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Though.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Now it's time for the zip line adventure. We're pretty
- 54:20Speaker 1: high up here, and we're gonna make our way down
- 54:24Speaker 1: one section at a time. Now, remember, the only rule
- 54:32Speaker 1: here is to hold on tide again. You have to
- 54:37Speaker 1: attach your harness to the safety rope above. Then you
- 54:43Speaker 1: grab onto these two handles here and you let her fly.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Who wants to go first, he asks, Jax puts up
- 54:54Speaker 1: his hand.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Very good.
- 54:58Speaker 1: Ranger Rick matches Jacks from the last safety rope and
- 55:03Speaker 1: hooks him on to the next one. He helps Jax
- 55:06Speaker 1: hold on to the two handlebar like things that slide
- 55:10Speaker 1: down the zip line, and on the count of three,
- 55:15Speaker 1: Jacks jumps up into the air, lifts up his legs,
- 55:19Speaker 1: and begins to slide down the zip line.
- 55:23Speaker 2: He screams with joy.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Marina goes next, then Pip, who with his new Ninja skills,
- 55:32Speaker 1: isn't hesitant at all. Until it's finally your turn. Ranger
- 55:38Speaker 1: Rick hooks up another handle like device above you and
- 55:43Speaker 1: hooks your harness up to the safety rope. You hold
- 55:47Speaker 1: on to the handlebars, take a deep breath, and pull
- 55:53Speaker 1: yourself up in the air. Immediately you begin flying down
- 55:58Speaker 1: the zip line. It gets faster and faster as you
- 56:03Speaker 1: feel the wind against your face.
- 56:07Speaker 2: You scream with joy.
- 56:09Speaker 1: As the rope starts to get slower and slower, and
- 56:15Speaker 1: you find your way to the next platform, where all
- 56:18Speaker 1: of your friends are waiting. You land on the platform,
- 56:23Speaker 1: unhook the handlebars and look behind you as Ranger Rick,
- 56:29Speaker 1: with his raccoon like hat or whatever it is exactly,
- 56:35Speaker 1: slides down the line behind you. Will that was a
- 56:40Speaker 1: good job, Ranger Rick says, time for the next section.
- 56:46Speaker 2: Again.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Ranger Rick unhooks you from the one line up to
- 56:51Speaker 1: the next, and one by one you slide down the
- 56:56Speaker 1: next section.
- 56:58Speaker 2: Slowly.
- 56:59Speaker 1: You make your way down every section of the zipline,
- 57:04Speaker 1: sliding from one place to another, getting lower and lower
- 57:10Speaker 1: until the final zip line. As you land directly on
- 57:15Speaker 1: the ground, you take off your helmet, your harness, and
- 57:21Speaker 1: your climbing shoes and hang them back up. You find
- 57:26Speaker 1: that the zip line ends exactly where the climbing wall began.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Your own shoes are still sitting there waiting, so you
- 57:36Speaker 1: throw them back on and tie them up. Well, kids,
- 57:41Speaker 1: you certainly showed me that you know what's what. Perhaps
- 57:47Speaker 1: I can even sign you up for the climbing competition.
- 57:52Speaker 1: It's been a long time since my cabin's won that. Together,
- 57:58Speaker 1: you and the others walk back through the forest until
- 58:02Speaker 1: you get to the main lodge again. Together, you eat dinner,
- 58:09Speaker 1: and once again, as the sun sets, you head for
- 58:14Speaker 1: the campfire. You smell the unmistakable smell of campfire smoke
- 58:22Speaker 1: and roasting marshmallows, and you hear the unmistakable sound of
- 58:29Speaker 1: teenage camp counselors leading everybody else in a repeat after
- 58:35Speaker 1: me campfire song.
- 58:38Speaker 2: A boom, chick a boom.
- 58:41Speaker 1: You grab a metal marshmallow roasting stick, throw some marshmallows on,
- 58:48Speaker 1: and you sit with your friends around the campfire, slowly
- 58:53Speaker 1: cooking the things and eating them when they're finished. They
- 58:58Speaker 1: are absolutely delicious, after all. Then you suddenly hear a
- 59:04Speaker 1: strange sound above you. You look up and you see
- 59:09Speaker 1: a bright light that seems to be getting bigger and
- 59:13Speaker 1: bigger and bigger.
- 59:16Speaker 2: Hello, are you ready to go? Spaceship?
- 59:22Speaker 1: Says oh, I didn't know you'd be here so soon?
- 59:27Speaker 1: You respond, yes, my adventure took me shorter than I believed.
- 59:35Speaker 1: A rope falls down from the ship and you grab
- 59:40Speaker 1: onto it. Ah, thanks, guys, you say to your cabin buddies,
- 59:46Speaker 1: and thank you Ranger Rick. That was one of the
- 59:49Speaker 1: best two days of camp I've ever had, no problem,
- 59:55Speaker 1: Ranger Rick says, come back here anytime. There's plenty camps
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: to choose from, and you could always visit this one
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: again if you want lots more activities to be a
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: part of. You pull yourself up on the rope and
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: it begins to rise up into the air, higher and
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: higher and higher until you pass through a little hole
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: in the bottom of Spaceship. The hole closes beneath your
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: feet and you land on the ground. You've never gotten
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: into Spaceship that way before. You quickly yawn, tired and
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: full of marshmallows.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Good to see you against spaceship.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: You say, but I really think I better go to bed.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: You head to the bedroom ary of the ship. The
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: door opens automatically. You immediately go over towards the bed,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: pull back the covers and jump inside. You pull the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: covers up over top of yourself, and the lights dim automatically.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: You let your heavy eyes close and you just start
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: to notice your breath, noticing your stomach rising and falling
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: with each breath. Then you try to notice any tension
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: you're holding in your muscles, and with each breath you
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: try to let the tension go, almost as if your
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: muscles are deflating. With each breath, you sink down deeper
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: and deeper into the mattress, and soon enough your mind
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: starts to wander off to thoughts of new dreams, new adventures,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: and possibly new camps on the camp planet.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: To come good night, everyone in.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: No more M M.
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: M, never.
