- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to A Peek Inside Gator Football, Allie Peek,
- 0:03Speaker 1: joined today by Chris Marler from Locked On Gamecocks. This
- 0:07Speaker 1: is presented by PrizePix. Okay, Chris, crazy week. I don't
- 0:12Speaker 1: know that anybody expected the outcome of the Florida-Missouri game,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and then obviously South Carolina-Kentucky.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Was crazy as well.
- 0:20Speaker 1: You guys up 17-0 at one point, lose that game
- 0:23Speaker 1: in overtime to Will Stein in Kentucky. So the Florida
- 0:27Speaker 1: fans have only watched South Carolina play, like from a distance.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good. That's a safe place to be.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Well, um, you know, how would you describe this Gamecock
- 0:38Speaker 1: team right now? Is two and three an accurate reflection
- 0:41Speaker 1: of who they are, or do you think they are
- 0:43Speaker 1: better than their record?
- 0:45Speaker 3: I mean, so like, it's hard to answer that because
- 0:48Speaker 3: the answer is yes, they are. It is accurate because
- 0:50Speaker 3: this is who the, this is who the program has,
- 0:53Speaker 3: has become. Um, Because there's no lead is safe. You
- 0:57Speaker 3: saw it last year. Like, the Bama game was tough
- 0:59Speaker 3: when they were up eight late in that game, and
- 1:02Speaker 3: then they end up losing by seven. Like, they were up, like,
- 1:04Speaker 3: eight with, like, three minutes to get lost by seven.
- 1:06Speaker 3: A & M, obviously, up 30-3, lose 31-30. Then you
- 1:11Speaker 3: go into this year, and you're up 16-0 against Mississippi State. And, like,
- 1:13Speaker 3: maybe you look at that game, and you're saying, okay, well, listen,
- 1:16Speaker 3: Mississippi State's got Kamario Taylor. He, like, takes the nation
- 1:18Speaker 3: by storm, and he's a guy that, like, It's an
- 1:22Speaker 3: explosive offense, and it's very hard to defend, and they
- 1:25Speaker 3: spread you out, and it's a little bit different than
- 1:27Speaker 3: most offenses you're going to face. And so maybe it's
- 1:29Speaker 3: them being able to score that quickly, and Stewart is
- 1:32Speaker 3: still not back yet, or completely, and you've got some
- 1:36Speaker 3: guys banged up. You could talk yourself into being like,
- 1:39Speaker 3: maybe that's just a really good team. And maybe the
- 1:41Speaker 3: week after, just a really good team on the road
- 1:43Speaker 3: that just punched you in the mouth early, you couldn't recover,
- 1:47Speaker 3: and then you had the meltdown. But then you do
- 1:49Speaker 3: it to Kentucky, a team you've beaten four straight years,
- 1:52Speaker 3: And you do it in a way that's like, I
- 1:54Speaker 3: think what's so frustrating is there is talent everywhere. Like
- 1:56Speaker 3: John Summerall is probably not accurate saying they're more talented
- 1:58Speaker 3: than Ole Miss. Did love that he said it. It
- 2:01Speaker 3: was really nice. It was nice to hear some positive things.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Somebody's got to say it, right? Somebody's got to say it.
- 2:06Speaker 3: It can't be me anymore. But like they've got talent
- 2:10Speaker 3: on the roster. They've got NFL guys on the roster.
- 2:12Speaker 3: And I'm not just talking about Harbor or Sellers projecting
- 2:16Speaker 3: to be guys. Like they've got dudes on the roster
- 2:18Speaker 3: that are going to be drafted early. and that are
- 2:21Speaker 3: very good. And they went out to the portal, and
- 2:23Speaker 3: they addressed all these needs that they were so bad
- 2:26Speaker 3: at a year ago, and they fixed them. And then
- 2:27Speaker 3: all the stuff foundationally that has been your strength, defense, secondary,
- 2:32Speaker 3: all that stuff, that has gone to, I don't know
- 2:34Speaker 3: if we're allowed to cuss here, so I'm not going to,
- 2:36Speaker 3: but it's gone to crap pretty quickly. And I think
- 2:40Speaker 3: that's been the most frustrating part is they absolutely are
- 2:42Speaker 3: a two and three team, and you didn't think that
- 2:44Speaker 3: was going to be the case. And I keep looking
- 2:46Speaker 3: at the schedule, and you're like, where's the turning point
- 2:48Speaker 3: going to come?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Let's talk a little bit about Lenora Sellers. Florida just
- 2:53Speaker 1: got absolutely gashed on the ground by Missouri. And Sellers,
- 2:57Speaker 1: he's obviously a completely different type of runner. But from
- 3:01Speaker 1: South Carolina perspective, how much of this offense still revolves
- 3:04Speaker 1: around him creating something when the structures of the play
- 3:07Speaker 1: break down?
- 3:08Speaker 3: And is he going to.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Have success against this defense that kind of limping into
- 3:13Speaker 1: this game, not necessarily from an injury standpoint, but just
- 3:15Speaker 1: from a confidence standpoint.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, I think it depends on if they
- 3:19Speaker 3: decide to, to not get in their own way with
- 3:22Speaker 3: the play calling. I mean, he, so last week, this
- 3:24Speaker 3: is a guy that had a 75 yard run on
- 3:26Speaker 3: third and 12, where he breaks a tackle, breaks another
- 3:28Speaker 3: tackle off to the races, gets sniped at like the
- 3:31Speaker 3: two yard line. Um, which I'm pretty sure by the way,
- 3:33Speaker 3: they immediately right after that had like a false start
- 3:37Speaker 3: or a holding penalty, like on the next play.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Can't get the momentum going.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Cannot ever. No, of course not. And so, like that part,
- 3:45Speaker 3: I feel like there's so many times where I look
- 3:47Speaker 3: at this team where I'm like, oh man, like if they,
- 3:49Speaker 3: against Bama, you had a fourth and two and they
- 3:51Speaker 3: ran like a tight end, like sneak. Yeah. Not fourth
- 3:55Speaker 3: and inches, fourth and two. It didn't work, by the way.
- 3:59Speaker 3: And then this week, they did a direct snap to
- 4:00Speaker 3: a tight end, a different tight end, still didn't work.
- 4:03Speaker 3: And you're like, why don't you just run Lenores? Like,
- 4:04Speaker 3: why don't you let him be a part of the
- 4:05Speaker 3: run game? Yeah. And the offensive like that. But I think,
- 4:09Speaker 3: That's where they need to be strength-wise. They have the
- 4:12Speaker 3: best rushing offense in the SEC. They are second in
- 4:15Speaker 3: the country in yards per carry, but yet you see
- 4:18Speaker 3: things in this offense where I don't think you have
- 4:23Speaker 3: Florida being this concerned. I get the concern because of
- 4:25Speaker 3: what happened last week when you go up to Missouri
- 4:27Speaker 3: and what's his name? What's it? Jamal Roberts. Jamal Roberts. Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I mean, he just runs all over you, but I
- 4:35Speaker 3: don't think that's going to happen because every time you
- 4:37Speaker 3: get the run game going, they take it out of
- 4:39Speaker 3: the player's hands. And so, you know, last week you're
- 4:42Speaker 3: up 17-0, you're running the ball at like 5.8 yards
- 4:45Speaker 3: of carry, and somebody fumbles after like a five-yard gain
- 4:49Speaker 3: in what would have been a first down. And the
- 4:51Speaker 3: next three plays that you come back on offense are
- 4:53Speaker 3: all three passing plays. And they were all three incompletions,
- 4:55Speaker 3: and then you gave the ball right back and ran
- 4:57Speaker 3: 18 seconds off the clock. So it's maddening to watch.
- 5:00Speaker 3: But I understand the concern for Florida, but I don't know.
- 5:04Speaker 3: The story is more so, Hey, can you just do
- 5:08Speaker 3: that for four quarters instead of being like, did you
- 5:10Speaker 3: guys see how good the first quarter was? We're going
- 5:12Speaker 3: to go take a nap after halftime.
- 5:14Speaker 1: We're going to take a quick break from this video
- 5:15Speaker 1: to give some love over two prize picks. Guys, I'm
- 5:18Speaker 1: going to show you exactly how easy it is to
- 5:21Speaker 1: set a lineup.
- 5:22Speaker 2: First, go ahead and download the app. If you are
- 5:25Speaker 2: a new user, you can use our code.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It's HMA and play a $ 5 lineup. One, just like
- 5:29Speaker 1: I'm about to show you.
- 5:30Speaker 2: And if you win, you'll get $ 150 in lineups instantly.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Okay, so they have Fernell Brown at 51.5 receiving yards.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I am still a little skeptical that he plays, but
- 5:41Speaker 1: let's say he does. If he does, he is absolutely
- 5:44Speaker 1: getting the more on this. So I'm going to take
- 5:46Speaker 1: the more there. If for some reason he doesn't play,
- 5:48Speaker 1: this will not be held against you, so don't even
- 5:50Speaker 1: worry about that.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And then I've got.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Lenora Sellers, 50.5 rushing yards. I'm going to take the
- 5:56Speaker 1: less on that, I think. I think he might get
- 5:59Speaker 1: us in the air a tiny bit, but I'm going
- 6:01Speaker 1: to say no. on rushing yards there, he's going to
- 6:05Speaker 1: get less than 50.5. All you got to do is
- 6:08Speaker 1: pair a couple of things like that. You've got a lineup,
- 6:10Speaker 1: so now we're going to submit it. And happy playing.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Hopefully you guys win. It's so easy.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Thanks to PrizePix for all their support. Consistency. Let's talk
- 6:21Speaker 2: about the flip side.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Florida fans are expecting South Carolina to kind of copy
- 6:25Speaker 1: Missouri's blueprint, load up to stop Jaden Baugh.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I mean, that was– Jaden Baugh and.
- 6:30Speaker 1: This offense were– one of the most effective offenses in
- 6:33Speaker 1: the country going into the story game. And then he
- 6:35Speaker 1: just absolutely nothing. Does South Carolina have the personnel up
- 6:40Speaker 1: front to actually do that? Or do you think that's
- 6:42Speaker 1: something that's like, yeah, that's easier said than done. Ole
- 6:44Speaker 1: Miss would have done it if they could, or, you know, Auburn.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Would have done it.
- 6:48Speaker 3: It's weird. Cause I didn't think Mizzou had it. Like I,
- 6:50Speaker 3: I just, I did not think Mizzou was built that
- 6:52Speaker 3: way to where they were. I knew that was going
- 6:55Speaker 3: to be the game plan. Cause that makes the most sense.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I mean, like the, the numbers were incredible. And so,
- 7:02Speaker 3: I figured that would be the game plan. It probably
- 7:04Speaker 3: will be the game plan for a lot of teams
- 7:06Speaker 3: to try to make Aaron Filo beat you. And he
- 7:08Speaker 3: didn't do it this past weekend. But I think that also,
- 7:10Speaker 3: if you're a Florida fan, I think you still find
- 7:12Speaker 3: confidence in... If you want to load the box, I
- 7:14Speaker 3: think they're more than capable of hurting you with the
- 7:16Speaker 3: tight ends and the receivers in the passing game. I
- 7:19Speaker 3: would still say those receivers, I would put them up
- 7:21Speaker 3: there at the top of any starting trio in the
- 7:24Speaker 3: SEC still, despite the disappointing loss.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Now.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Carolina does have the, the ability and the players in
- 7:32Speaker 3: like the front, I wouldn't say front seven. Cause they,
- 7:35Speaker 3: they run that like three, three, five and four, two,
- 7:37Speaker 3: five defense linebackers in the defensive line. That's where their
- 7:40Speaker 3: strength was supposed to be. They returned all three linebackers. Um,
- 7:43Speaker 3: Dylan Stewart, obviously if he plays, which he was at
- 7:45Speaker 3: practice today, didn't fight anybody, which was cool. Um, I
- 7:49Speaker 3: know steps are just baby steps. And so, Um, in
- 7:52Speaker 3: the defensive line, the interior defensive line, I think getting,
- 7:55Speaker 3: if they get Gabriel Brownlow Dendy back, that'd be big
- 7:57Speaker 3: because they have a lot of depth in that interior
- 7:59Speaker 3: defensive line, but they've been injured very, very early at, at,
- 8:03Speaker 3: at that spot and by a lot of players. So
- 8:07Speaker 3: I guess the answer is like, it's, it's almost like
- 8:09Speaker 3: the same I've given you with everything else. It's like, yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 3: they do have the ability to do this. Are they
- 8:12Speaker 3: going to, there's not been anything that they've shown me
- 8:15Speaker 3: against good competition that says yes.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Let's talk a little bit about Dylan Stewart. It was
- 8:20Speaker 1: reported that he was at practice today. So good to
- 8:22Speaker 1: know he didn't punch anybody. You know, I honestly didn't
- 8:26Speaker 1: even realize that he was actually suspended by the SEC.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I think Shane Beamer did a real good job making
- 8:31Speaker 1: that seem like that was a hidden call. But so
- 8:35Speaker 1: do you think that he's back? Do you think that
- 8:36Speaker 1: means he plays Saturday? And let's say he does, you know,
- 8:41Speaker 1: He's got a mean streak in him.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Do you think that he's going to.
- 8:44Speaker 1: He listened for an entire week, people talking about how
- 8:47Speaker 1: he just hurt his draft stock and whatever.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Is he going to be on a revenge tour?
- 8:53Speaker 3: That's scary to think about because he already seems so angry.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I know.
- 8:59Speaker 3: I'll start with the draft stock thing. I think maybe
- 9:03Speaker 3: that's where I would probably start for his motivation because
- 9:05Speaker 3: I feel like that's probably something he... I don't think
- 9:08Speaker 3: his draft stock is going to fall. Yeah, I don't
- 9:10Speaker 3: think his draft stock is going to be impacted at all.
- 9:12Speaker 3: If Jalen Carter for Georgia can run someone off the
- 9:16Speaker 3: road in a street racing thing, have that person pass
- 9:18Speaker 3: away and then be like, hey, I'm still going to
- 9:20Speaker 3: go to the top 10. I don't think that this
- 9:23Speaker 3: guy punching a face mask is going to somehow all
- 9:25Speaker 3: of a sudden matter way more. The NFL has made
- 9:27Speaker 3: excuses for bad behavior forever as long as they can play.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Just don't gamble. Could you imagine if you're Calvin Ridley
- 9:34Speaker 3: and you have $ 1, 500 in parlays?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Um yeah there has to be a line somewhere Chris.
- 9:39Speaker 3: It's exactly it has to be a line you gotta
- 9:41Speaker 3: stand for something um I think the Stewart could be
- 9:44Speaker 3: good I think the other one it's more important what
- 9:46Speaker 3: the other guys do I think because one I think
- 9:48Speaker 3: that they're probably going to play more um Julian Walker's
- 9:51Speaker 3: been good at times Caleb Herring is a transfer from
- 9:53Speaker 3: Tennessee and he's been a good edge rusher they haven't
- 9:56Speaker 3: really gotten to the quarterback that much but he's been
- 9:58Speaker 3: good off the edge kind of like being able to
- 10:01Speaker 3: stop the run and kind of get into the backfield
- 10:03Speaker 3: a little bit more than some of the other defensive ends. Now,
- 10:05Speaker 3: that hasn't been consistent. They have missed a ton of tackles,
- 10:08Speaker 3: and that's been something that's been new, again, for this defense,
- 10:11Speaker 3: like a new problem that they haven't had in the past.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So if Stewart can play, yeah, he can impact the
- 10:16Speaker 3: game in a number of ways. But I'll tell you this, too.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I think you've got a lot of good tight ends,
- 10:20Speaker 3: and the way that the misdirection that Buster Faulkner is
- 10:24Speaker 3: able to put into his offensive game plan and what
- 10:26Speaker 3: they're able to do up front, and not just window dressing,
- 10:29Speaker 3: but blocking schemes and all that kind of stuff. Dylan
- 10:32Speaker 3: Stewart looked lost at times against Alabama in that game,
- 10:35Speaker 3: and he was primarily going up against tight ends that
- 10:38Speaker 3: were either chip blocking or the left tackle or right tackle,
- 10:42Speaker 3: and it went very poorly for him. So I think
- 10:44Speaker 3: that might have been a blueprint for him. for how
- 10:47Speaker 3: to stop him. Okay.
- 10:49Speaker 2: You know, South Carolina has had some really painful losses.
- 10:51Speaker 3: We talked about it. Thank you, yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You know, and I do think, I've long maintained that
- 10:56Speaker 1: when a coach is on the hot seat, that there's
- 10:58Speaker 1: not a huge positive to firing him mid-season until you
- 11:02Speaker 1: lose the locker room. And then once you lose the
- 11:04Speaker 1: locker room and that becomes toxic, that's when it needs
- 11:06Speaker 1: to happen immediately. I don't know that there's some huge
- 11:08Speaker 1: benefit from doing it in the first week of October
- 11:11Speaker 1: than doing it the second week of November from a
- 11:13Speaker 1: timeline standpoint.
- 11:14Speaker 2: But do you have a.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Sense that this team still believes it can turn the
- 11:18Speaker 1: season around and that they still are bought in on
- 11:20Speaker 1: what Beamer is selling? Or do you think that they're
- 11:23Speaker 1: feeling the weight of everything that's happened?
- 11:26Speaker 3: It feels like it's impossible to not feel the weight
- 11:28Speaker 3: of it. There was a comment that Beamer made and
- 11:30Speaker 3: I think Peyton Williams made that safety was like, he's like,
- 11:36Speaker 3: there's not anybody on this sideline that didn't think we
- 11:38Speaker 3: were going to win that game. And I was like,
- 11:40Speaker 3: but you didn't. Right. Again. So I believe in a
- 11:43Speaker 3: lot of stuff. I believed I was going to lose
- 11:45Speaker 3: all the weight before the wedding. Guess what? It's in
- 11:47Speaker 3: two weeks. Didn't do it. So wishful thinking doesn't really
- 11:51Speaker 3: always get results. And I think, I will say this though,
- 11:54Speaker 3: I think it's a different answer than I would say
- 11:57Speaker 3: Are they going to turn it around? I have to
- 11:59Speaker 3: be realistic at some point, and I look at the schedule,
- 12:01Speaker 3: and I'm like, I don't think you get right in
- 12:03Speaker 3: the swamp. Maybe you beat Tennessee at home with their
- 12:05Speaker 3: quarterback issues. A & M sucks. Oklahoma seems to suck. Clemson,
- 12:10Speaker 3: I think, also sucks. There's games that they can win
- 12:13Speaker 3: if they play better than they've played. I think the
- 12:17Speaker 3: idea that they're going to just go down to Gainesville
- 12:20Speaker 3: in that environment and all of a sudden things are
- 12:23Speaker 3: just going to drastically turn around, that is fool's gold
- 12:26Speaker 3: for sure. I'll also say I don't think he's lost
- 12:28Speaker 3: the locker room. Dylan Stewart did a lot of damage
- 12:32Speaker 3: to that narrative, like creating that narrative with what he
- 12:34Speaker 3: did in the Alabama game. I think that's also very
- 12:37Speaker 3: fair to point out. But the team does not– they
- 12:39Speaker 3: have not quit. They've been bad. They have been very bad.
- 12:42Speaker 3: They look lost on the back end. I think Buster
- 12:45Speaker 3: Faulkner is going to have a field day with that secondary.
- 12:48Speaker 3: But I don't think that they have quit on Shane
- 12:51Speaker 3: Beamer yet. And I'll be honest. I don't know if
- 12:53Speaker 3: they will. I don't know– That locker room, they like Shane.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Shane Beamer is a very likable and charismatic guy. And
- 13:02Speaker 3: just because Dylan Stewart might not have the right attitude
- 13:04Speaker 3: about it, I don't think the rest of the team has.
- 13:07Speaker 1: This Florida locker room knows a whole lot about a
- 13:09Speaker 1: really likable head coach that needed to go. Talk about
- 13:14Speaker 1: what South Carolina's ideal game script would look like. If
- 13:17Speaker 1: you are Shane Beamer, what has to happen in the
- 13:19Speaker 1: first quarter for the Gamecocks to make the Swamp uncomfortable
- 13:23Speaker 1: and put Florida into that, oh, shoot, here we go
- 13:26Speaker 1: again mode?
- 13:27Speaker 3: I think you have to get three and outs and
- 13:30Speaker 3: show that Jaden Ball's not going to beat you. If
- 13:35Speaker 3: they could force turnovers, and I'm going to lose my
- 13:38Speaker 3: mind even talking about this because this team and this
- 13:41Speaker 3: program under Clayton White It was not just good at that.
- 13:44Speaker 3: They were the best in the SEC at that for
- 13:46Speaker 3: five years. No team in the conference had more forced
- 13:49Speaker 3: turnovers than South Carolina's 110 in the last five years.
- 13:53Speaker 3: And they have like two this year. So I think
- 13:56Speaker 3: getting a safety in the right position would be awesome
- 13:59Speaker 3: and being able to flip the field. They've been really
- 14:02Speaker 3: good on script early on in games. If they can
- 14:04Speaker 3: go down and score one and then get a turnover,
- 14:09Speaker 3: show they can stop Jaden Baugh, I mean, sure they
- 14:12Speaker 3: can even get some penetration into the backfield. I think
- 14:15Speaker 3: that would be great. But if they can get a
- 14:16Speaker 3: turnover and then prove all the things that they have
- 14:18Speaker 3: been really, really struggling with, like scoring in the red zone,
- 14:22Speaker 3: scoring touchdowns in the red zone, not settling for field goals,
- 14:24Speaker 3: not shooting themselves in the foot, I think that's a
- 14:26Speaker 3: good starting point. But I also will say maybe this
- 14:29Speaker 3: is just like the gun-shy part of the fan base
- 14:32Speaker 3: and me covering the team, which is like, okay, if
- 14:35Speaker 3: you go up 14-0, does that change things for you?
- 14:38Speaker 3: Is that like, oh, man, we got it right? I
- 14:40Speaker 3: feel like if you go up 14-0, Florida's like, perfect.
- 14:43Speaker 3: This is right where we want to be.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean, at least if history is to
- 14:48Speaker 1: be believed. Okay, take your South Carolina hat off.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Tell me where South Carolina has legitimate advantages over Florida.
- 14:58Speaker 3: In the run game. I think in the run game
- 15:00Speaker 3: they're going to be able to get some, I don't
- 15:02Speaker 3: want to say chunk plays. I mean, like Jamal Roberts
- 15:04Speaker 3: was breaking off very long runs. I think that if
- 15:07Speaker 3: they can get Matt Fuller going, Um, I do think
- 15:10Speaker 3: they have an advantage there in terms of what they
- 15:12Speaker 3: can do offensively versus their defense. I've Florida's given up
- 15:15Speaker 3: chunk plays in the passing game this year. Austin Simmons
- 15:19Speaker 3: picked them apart in that game. I don't think like,
- 15:21Speaker 3: I mean, like I think that that duo that Mizzou
- 15:24Speaker 3: has is very good. Um, and Kate and green. Yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 3: They were very good. I don't know if there's a one,
- 15:30Speaker 3: two punch like that. That's as consistent for South Carolina.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Nick Harbor has shown time and time again, he is
- 15:35Speaker 3: not going to be that guy. Um, so I think,
- 15:38Speaker 3: I think that is frustrating, but I do think if
- 15:40Speaker 3: you run the ball with Matt Fuller and then I also,
- 15:43Speaker 3: I think that if you, there's like a, there's a
- 15:45Speaker 3: part of the Norris that has not been unlocked. Like
- 15:49Speaker 3: it wasn't two years ago, but I think I honestly
- 15:52Speaker 3: feel like he needs to run through somebody and like,
- 15:55Speaker 3: it's all just going to come back and be like, Oh,
- 15:58Speaker 3: I can do this. I don't need to run out
- 15:59Speaker 3: of bounds. I don't need to do like, I don't
- 16:00Speaker 3: need to slide. I don't like it, but there's, there's
- 16:02Speaker 3: so many things awareness wise that he does that you're like,
- 16:06Speaker 3: are you doing and so I I don't think that
- 16:09Speaker 3: the advantage of them being able to hit a bunch
- 16:11Speaker 3: of deep passes I think they'll have some success there
- 16:13Speaker 3: but I think the advantage is in the run game.
- 16:15Speaker 1: All right I'm gonna let you get out of here
- 16:16Speaker 1: but give me three things the South Carolina player Florida
- 16:19Speaker 1: fans are gonna know by the end of the game
- 16:21Speaker 1: the one Florida player that scares you the most and
- 16:23Speaker 1: then final score prediction if you've already done that on
- 16:26Speaker 1: your show if you haven't no no.
- 16:27Speaker 3: I haven't I haven't I'll do it it's fine though
- 16:28Speaker 3: I don't I mean I did it one one this
- 16:30Speaker 3: morning it was pretty bad I think I will say
- 16:33Speaker 3: the one player that people don't know for South Carolina
- 16:36Speaker 3: right now, I think it's Matt Fuller. I think the
- 16:39Speaker 3: other one's probably Mazio Bennett, but I'll say Matt Fuller
- 16:41Speaker 3: because I don't think enough people are familiar with him.
- 16:43Speaker 3: He's been a really good running back. I think he's
- 16:44Speaker 3: third in the SEC right now in yards or fourth
- 16:46Speaker 3: or something like that. I know if you're a Florida fan,
- 16:49Speaker 3: you don't really look past one because of how good
- 16:51Speaker 3: Jaden Ball's been, but I think that's the guy that
- 16:55Speaker 3: you might be familiar with by the end of Saturday.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Florida player I'm most scared of? Yeah. Florida Aaron Hernandez,
- 17:03Speaker 3: for sure. Dang, got him.
- 17:05Speaker 2: You won't have to worry about that.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Thank God. No, I think the one I'm most scared of, honestly,
- 17:11Speaker 3: I think it's Aaron Filo. Because I think Aaron Filo,
- 17:14Speaker 3: he's kind of a dog. He's been really, really good.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And I think he's got enough around him. And I
- 17:20Speaker 3: don't want to say, I say him because I don't
- 17:21Speaker 3: want to have the cop out and say Jaden Ball.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Because Jaden Ball, I don't think he's going to have
- 17:25Speaker 3: two bad games in a row, especially against this defense
- 17:27Speaker 3: that's been... But I think when you look at what
- 17:31Speaker 3: teams are going to try to do, I think that
- 17:33Speaker 3: they will try to take away the run. But I
- 17:36Speaker 3: don't know if that's the strength for– I think you'd
- 17:38Speaker 3: almost rather take away the pass if you're Carolina because
- 17:41Speaker 3: their secondary has been so bad. I don't see Philo
- 17:43Speaker 3: having two bad games in a row, especially with Lester Faulkner,
- 17:46Speaker 3: Parkview Panther. There's a lot of elite football minds and
- 17:50Speaker 3: people that talk about football from Parkview High School, and
- 17:54Speaker 3: I think he's one of the top three, one of
- 17:56Speaker 3: the top three for sure. And then score prediction, 45-17 Florida.
- 18:01Speaker 3: I think Summerall comes out and tries to, it's his
- 18:03Speaker 3: first time where he is going to come out and
- 18:07Speaker 3: be in a situation where, like the Ole Miss game
- 18:09Speaker 3: was his first big game. Auburn was his first big
- 18:12Speaker 3: road game, right? That game was not nearly as close
- 18:15Speaker 3: as the score would suggest. The Ole Miss game was awesome,
- 18:19Speaker 3: the way they pulled away in the fourth quarter. Mizzou
- 18:21Speaker 3: was the first time he had to go into a
- 18:23Speaker 3: game where he had to get everyone back up from
- 18:26Speaker 3: a week where everyone's patting him on the back and
- 18:27Speaker 3: talking about how they're going to make, I mean, Josh Pate, brother,
- 18:30Speaker 3: what are we doing? Everyone's patting him on the back.
- 18:33Speaker 3: I think this is now he gets to come back
- 18:34Speaker 3: with this sour taste in his mouth, pretend that he
- 18:37Speaker 3: didn't sleep all week and how he's sick to his
- 18:39Speaker 3: stomach and all the other crap he's going to say
- 18:41Speaker 3: in the media all week. I think they win. I
- 18:43Speaker 3: think they win big. All right.
- 18:45Speaker 2: We appreciate it, Chris.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Tell everybody where they can follow you on social media
- 18:49Speaker 1: so they can argue with.
- 18:50Speaker 2: You or check out your work.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Brandon Walker, BFW. That's my name on Twitter. Go get
- 18:57Speaker 3: my mentions and tell me how awful I am. It's
- 19:00Speaker 3: Vern underscore FunQuest. I appreciate coming on the show. All right.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Thanks for coming on. We'll talk to you soon.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Okay.
