- 1:06Doctor Gina I'm so thrilled to have you here
- 1:10thank you so much for being on
- 1:12well thank you for having me
- 1:13I'm happy to be here Melissa
- 1:16yeah I am so fascinated by um
- 1:19what I know about you
- 1:21and really excited to dive into talking about your
- 1:26your supplements and your journey and um
- 1:30everything that you that you have to offer
- 1:32so I'm just gonna kind of open up the floor and let you
- 1:36just tell us who you are and how you got into all of this
- 1:41what LED you here and tell us about your supplements
- 1:46well um
- 1:47let's we already gave the little bio
- 1:49so we'll bypass that part um
- 1:52well right now
- 1:53my biggest passion is in creating
- 1:56or making gluthione a household name
- 1:59that's what I'm really here to do right now
- 2:03um and so
- 2:03I've been in the nutritional supplement world for over two decades
- 2:08as a physician using supplements in my practice
- 2:11then also as a researcher and formulator um
- 2:14for all that time and I came across glutathione
- 2:18so I'd used it in my practice for a long time um
- 2:22but then I was actually hired by a um
- 2:25a company who makes a form of glutathione that's absorbed orally
- 2:31which was kind of unheard of at the time
- 2:34and I really because I was hired to do this
- 2:37I did a real deep dive into glutathione
- 2:40way beyond what I Learned in medical school
- 2:42way beyond what I knew from using it in practice even
- 2:46um and it was through that journey that I was like wow
- 2:50why doesn't everybody know about this mother of all antioxidants
- 2:55why isn't it you know
- 2:57readily available and accessible to everyone
- 2:59because truly as I looked at it more and more
- 3:04and again I've been in the supplement world forever
- 3:06and I've come across so many different ingredients
- 3:09and formulated a ton of products and all that
- 3:11but this one was just different
- 3:13it really stood out to me
- 3:15and I wondered why it wasn't
- 3:17why everybody didn't know what it was
- 3:19you know was it because gluttonous is just kind of a technical word
- 3:22you know it's not like an easily remembered word
- 3:26I coined the phrase vitamin G instead cause that's easy to remember
- 3:30and I really see it as like the next vitamin uh C
- 3:33you know how vitamin C became so popular
- 3:36we all know that it's good for your immune system and everything
- 3:38vitamin G is equally
- 3:39if not more important or so many different functions in your body
- 3:43and we need it more and more these days
- 3:45so I formulated a product
- 3:48um called Best Daily Ever
- 3:50I created a form of glutathione that actually tastes good
- 3:54tastes like a pixie stick
- 3:56and normally glutathione doesn't taste good
- 3:58so um
- 4:00let's see so with all that
- 4:03um let's see
- 4:04my first real magical experience with the use of LSD was
- 4:08one of my first patients I ever had was a drug addict
- 4:11heroin addict and he was recovering
- 4:14and I had done all the things I knew to do as an alternative doctor
- 4:18in terms of all the functional medicine
- 4:19testing and all of it and he said
- 4:22the thing that he noticed the most benefit from was glutathione
- 4:27and then and so it kind of planted a seed
- 4:30and then fast forward
- 4:31and one of my dear nephews was diagnosed with autism
- 4:35and I kept telling my sister
- 4:36we need to get glutathione into him
- 4:38I know it we need to
- 4:39we need to figure out a way
- 4:40and the challenge was that the form
- 4:42of glutathione that actually worked
- 4:44which was liposomal didn't taste good
- 4:48it was hard to get and you know adults to take it
- 4:51let alone kids you know
- 4:53and it was a problem and so and then
- 4:56you know he was young and I'm his aunt
- 4:58I'm not gonna inject him you know
- 5:00and he wasn't gonna like me and he wasn't gonna comply with that right
- 5:04but that was the other way at that time that
- 5:07you know would really work for him
- 5:09and so my sister reminds me today that
- 5:12that also planted another seed for me
- 5:14of coming out with a form of glutethione that kids could take
- 5:19that was that would make it accessible to everyone
- 5:22a form that was actually bioavailable and worked
- 5:24that wasn't liposomal um
- 5:27that didn't have to be refrigerated and so I like to say
- 5:31you know I was inspired to take the ick and the ouch
- 5:34factors out of getting glutathione into your body
- 5:37or into a child's
- 5:39um and so then Covid hit
- 5:41I've been doing some lecturing on gluttony
- 5:43and realizing most doctors were not using it in their practice
- 5:47they're using it sporadically
- 5:49you know at least from the doctors I was speaking with
- 5:51and then I would go to local health food store
- 5:53and nobody really like knew what it was
- 5:55it was just wasn't out there and so I said that's it
- 5:59I'm gonna this is my next supplement I'm gonna create
- 6:01it's gonna be glutathione
- 6:03Covid hit and I was homeschooling my daughter
- 6:06and I was looking over at her like
- 6:08how do I get glucothione into her
- 6:10because we know
- 6:11it can help to prevent a severe reaction to things like covid
- 6:15um and that I decided I wanted to make uh
- 6:19glutathione taste like candy but have the opposite effect of candy
- 6:24right so
- 6:25actually help the brain and lower a neuro inflammation
- 6:27and help with balancing addictive behaviors and all of that
- 6:31um so I created a formula and I
- 6:35I always say it was divinely inspired because it literally just like
- 6:39you know I always I
- 6:41I have a passion for formulation
- 6:42it's what I love to do I love to put ingredients together
- 6:45whether I'm injecting them or putting them in a supplement
- 6:47it's it's what I love to do
- 6:48I always have and
- 6:50but this one was different
- 6:51you know so I create this formula
- 6:53I send it off to the lab I get it back
- 6:55first try Melissa it tasted amazing
- 6:58and gluathione has like a sulfur
- 7:01you know a component to it
- 7:03so it smells horrible even when I'm injecting it
- 7:06if I'm injecting patients
- 7:07you know the whole office smells like lythane and it's gross
- 7:11it doesn't smell good doesn't taste good
- 7:13this came back and with no sugar
- 7:15I only used a little bit of stevia
- 7:17and then I used glycine to sweeten it
- 7:19and glycine is one of the amino acids that makes up glutathione
- 7:25but it has a slight sweet flavor to it
- 7:27and I'd remembered I'd use it
- 7:29when I formulate supplements for patients
- 7:32I would use it as a sweetener and I'm like
- 7:34oh my gosh it's cause glutathione is a tripeptide
- 7:37it's made up of 3 amino acids
- 7:38glycine is one of them like that's perfect
- 7:41anyway I get back the sample and it tasted like a pixie stick
- 7:46no joke it was like perfect from the gecko
- 7:49and so I knew there was something there
- 7:51I knew this is something I needed to bring to market
- 7:55and so through a lot of work
- 7:59a lot of time and energy and money and all of it
- 8:02um we've been able to bring it to market
- 8:05and so I'm really excited about it
- 8:08um we launched with a fruit punch flavor
- 8:12uh but I have a rose lemonade flavor as well
- 8:14that is my favorite actually
- 8:16and so that'll come next
- 8:18but that's you know that's kind of what happened
- 8:20and so I've been spending a lot of time just talking about ludethane
- 8:24educating people on it um both doctors and consumers
- 8:28i just gave a talk at the american academy of anti-aging medicine on
- 8:32using glutathione to protect and heal your cells from radiation
- 8:38and that includes you know uh radiation
- 8:41cancer treatment
- 8:42you know and exposure to radiation like electromagnetic frequencies
- 8:47X rays and you know of all of the talks I've given over the years
- 8:52this one it was like so important to me to get all the day
- 8:58I spent so many hours putting this presentation
- 9:01it's only a half hour presentation
- 9:02but something about it I was like no
- 9:04this is unbelievably important
- 9:07I ended up with almost 100 slides
- 9:10had to pair it down and then I
- 9:12I still it was 72 slides
- 9:14um and I just told the attendees
- 9:16you know hold on to it as a reference for later
- 9:19cause I couldn't go through everything
- 9:21but there's just it's just
- 9:23it feels to me like it's time for everybody to know about glutathione
- 9:28and figure out how to use it to help heal yourself
- 9:33and protect yourselves
- 9:35everything that we're being exposed to these days
- 9:38yeah um
- 9:39one of the areas where glutathione really shines
- 9:43that isn't talked about a lot is cognitive function
- 9:45so it helps to lower neuro inflammation
- 9:50um and
- 9:50and with that it helps to improve cognitive health
- 9:54um because
- 9:55and there's a direct
- 9:56connection between things like alzheimer's disease
- 9:59and Parkinson's disease and glutathione deficiency in the brain
- 10:03yeah I've heard that about um
- 10:05alzheimer's before um
- 10:07that's really fascinating
- 10:09that talk that you just gave
- 10:10was that the one in Vegas
- 10:11yes at the American
- 10:13oh I was
- 10:13I almost went to that that would have been so cool
- 10:17go you should go next year
- 10:18it's yeah it's
- 10:18it's one of my favorite conferences to go to
- 10:21it's just it's called Longevity Fest
- 10:24there were over 7,000 doctors there
- 10:26and you really get exposed to next level information on um
- 10:32you know what's
- 10:33what's coming down the pike in terms of real healthcare
- 10:36and treatments that haven't yet been popularized
- 10:40yeah sure
- 10:41that just made me remember
- 10:43yeah that just made me remember
- 10:44I think we have a mutual friend
- 10:46I think that's what we talked about initially maybe
- 10:48or maybe I was talking to your assistant
- 10:50but Dr Laura Desusaris is your right
- 10:54yeah yeah
- 10:55shout out shout out to Doctor Laura
- 10:58oh I love that
- 10:58she's awesome oh okay
- 11:00she's amazing yeah
- 11:01um oh
- 11:02so cool so
- 11:06I have so many questions um
- 11:09so why don't you start by telling us like
- 11:11what is glutathione and why is it so important in the body
- 11:15sure so glutathione is considered the mother of all antioxidants
- 11:19the master antioxidant um
- 11:22there
- 11:22there are three main antioxidants that you must have in your body
- 11:27for proper functioning uh glutathione
- 11:30vitamin C and vitamin E
- 11:33and those are the three like foundational blocks
- 11:37you know and they all work together
- 11:39they all cycle around each other
- 11:40they help one another they work together
- 11:43but glurthun is the master
- 11:45and so it's manufacturing every cell in your body
- 11:48higher concentrations in the liver
- 11:49which is the main detoxification organ
- 11:53glutathione helps to protect your cells from free radical damage
- 11:57free radicals are toxins in the environment
- 12:00that are produced in your own body
- 12:02that cause damage to the mitochondria
- 12:04the powerhouse of your cells
- 12:05and glutathione is there to help protect the mitochondria from harm
- 12:09from toxins
- 12:12um glutathione helps to lower inflammation throughout the body
- 12:16it works as an immunomodulator
- 12:19which it really like
- 12:20I love that word
- 12:21I love what it represents because it really speaks to the just
- 12:25you know the
- 12:27the the amazingness of the human body really
- 12:30and you know
- 12:30it's divinity because um
- 12:33as an immunomodulator it'll boost immune function as needed
- 12:36and then it'll calm down an overreactive immune system
- 12:40so it helps to balance everything out
- 12:42um glutathione is really important for
- 12:47I mentioned for brain health
- 12:48because the brain is more vulnerable to exposure
- 12:52to toxins than any other area in the body
- 12:55and so
- 12:56the levels of glutathione get depleted pretty readily in the brain
- 13:02and that's where
- 13:03then it leaves you vulnerable to damage from exposure to toxins
- 13:07and that's where I'm very passionate about
- 13:09making sure that your glutathione levels are sound
- 13:12as an in an effort to protect your brain from harm
- 13:16whether it's from radiation or
- 13:18you know toxins or inflammation
- 13:20you name it right
- 13:22and so um
- 13:23glutathione is also very powerful at detoxifying things
- 13:26like heavy metals from the body
- 13:29is that the most common way to like um
- 13:34deplete your glutathione is be exposed to toxins
- 13:37yes would you say
- 13:38oh yeah
- 13:39absolutely cause it gets
- 13:41gets used up you know right
- 13:42so um
- 13:43and it's reduced so there in the body
- 13:45there's something called reduced glutathione
- 13:48and then there's oxidized glutathione
- 13:50so reduced glutathione is the active form of glutathione
- 13:54and it then takes toxins
- 13:57and converts them into a form that can then get
- 14:00excreted out of your body
- 14:02whether it's through the colon or the skin or the kidneys
- 14:06your other detox or lymphatic system
- 14:09and so um but the thing is
- 14:12is you're supposed to have a lot more reduced glutathione
- 14:14active glutathione than oxidized because once
- 14:17once the glutathione is used
- 14:18it becomes oxidized
- 14:20and then it has to get recycled back in your body to a reduced form
- 14:25well guess what
- 14:25that takes a lot of different co factors and minerals and stuff
- 14:30nutrients to make that process happen right
- 14:33and the ideal ratio is 100 to 1
- 14:37you want 100 times as much active
- 14:39reduced glutamine in your body than you do oxidize
- 14:43and that always doesn't happen right
- 14:45and so yeah so I always tell people like
- 14:47it's not just taking a bunch of glutethiamine
- 14:49that's not the answer
- 14:51you also want to be making sure that your levels of the co factors
- 14:56that glutathione eats up to make more glutathione
- 14:59or turn it back into an active form are there as well
- 15:04yeah which is probably hard in in this day and age
- 15:07cause we're not getting like we're exposed to so many toxins
- 15:11we're not getting the nutrients that we need
- 15:12we're not getting the sunlight that we need
- 15:14we're not getting the exercise that we need like across the board
- 15:18right yeah
- 15:19yeah magnesium selenium
- 15:22zinc glycine
- 15:24I mean all these things are essential and necessary
- 15:28the bee vitamins you need all of that and
- 15:31and those things are naturally occurring
- 15:33glutathione's naturally occurring in quality foods
- 15:36it's there you know
- 15:37grass fed beef um
- 15:39more so than other beef um
- 15:42all your fresh fruits and vegetables
- 15:44uh members of the Brassica family of vegetables
- 15:46so things like broccoli and cauliflower are higher in glutathione
- 15:51um and also eating those foods it
- 15:55it triggers it's a particular
- 15:57it's a transcription factor called NRF 2
- 16:00but basically
- 16:01that's what triggers your body to manufacture glutathione
- 16:05so by eating those quote
- 16:06anti cancer vegetables that we've all heard about right yeah
- 16:10what's act so this is fascinating to me
- 16:13what's actually happening is
- 16:14there's chemicals in those foods that trigger a transcription factor
- 16:18NRF 2 that then tells your body make more glutathione
- 16:23oh that is cool
- 16:24isn't that interesting and that's really
- 16:25so that's one of the main quote
- 16:27anti cancer results of consuming those anti cancer foods
- 16:33yeah so
- 16:35so I'm curious to know
- 16:37you talked about your nephew and like you were thinking about like
- 16:41how do I get glutathione into him
- 16:43and then with your daughter
- 16:44how do I get glutathione into her
- 16:45I'd love to know like did you
- 16:48does your nephew take your formulation and has it helped him
- 16:52how is he now he loves it he calls it Gina Juice
- 16:58but so he takes every day he takes the Pixie sticks
- 17:01which to me I was like just that alone
- 17:05I'm happy do you know what I'm saying
- 17:08like I served because I mean
- 17:11it really it is coming to me
- 17:13it's like it just came full circle
- 17:15and I it wasn't even again
- 17:17sister had to remind me do you remember
- 17:18when you used to try and figure out a way to get this stuff into him
- 17:22and I'd like open up capsules of anastylcine and mix it in apple sauce
- 17:27I'm just trying everything right
- 17:29um and so to know that he now takes those every day
- 17:32as do my other nephews but he in particular it's
- 17:35it's special to me um
- 17:37and then also you know
- 17:39so my daughter she
- 17:40she she loves
- 17:42she loves the pixie sticks
- 17:43but she takes them to school
- 17:44and I had envisioned like these little sticks in every kid's lunch box
- 17:48you know like just where at least if they've got that they're covered
- 17:52and so she's telling me that
- 17:54her friends are begging her for more pixie sticks
- 17:56I'm like okay
- 17:58this is cool this is really cool
- 17:59there is a way here to to get these kids just support it
- 18:05supported so that they can think well yeah
- 18:08and they can have a little bit more of a robust immune system
- 18:12and so to me it just
- 18:15I mean it's it
- 18:16it yeah
- 18:16it's it's awesome
- 18:18you know it also helps so many things
- 18:20there's so many things going against those kids right
- 18:24I mean it
- 18:24today's generation the young generation
- 18:28I mean all of us
- 18:28but really right
- 18:30the kids like they have it coming from every
- 18:33from every angle and
- 18:35you know they're
- 18:35they've got developing brains
- 18:37and what's to me
- 18:38like one the most important things here is we want clear thinking
- 18:42yeah kids and adults
- 18:44but you know
- 18:45this next generation of leaders or creating
- 18:48they need to be thinking clearly and have truly
- 18:52and so what can we do my area
- 18:55right is nutrition and supplements and all functional medicine
- 18:59what can I do to help that
- 19:02you know to help ensure that we have clear thinking kids
- 19:07when you talk about like the journey
- 19:10like from that first like
- 19:12one of the first patients that you had that was a drug addict to like
- 19:15right now it sounds like it was like
- 19:18like last year that that happened
- 19:22like tell it was it was obviously like a
- 19:25a big long journey oh gosh yes
- 19:28yeah I mean I
- 19:29I became fascinated by detoxification
- 19:32and the whole concept of detoxification
- 19:34even during medical school
- 19:35and then afterwards um
- 19:37and then glutathione and then the patient
- 19:40so that that happened gosh
- 19:42it's been 20 years right
- 19:45uh and so it's been a long journey to get to here right
- 19:49and it's the connection like glutathione and
- 19:52and just the fact that
- 19:53it's so central to the human detoxification system
- 19:56which is an area that I had
- 19:58have been fascinated
- 20:00I didn't really learn a lot about it in medical school
- 20:02it mostly was just stuff I did on my own
- 20:05you know I went to it at this detox institute
- 20:07because this woman at a health food store told me about it
- 20:09and something told me you need to go check it out
- 20:12and that was the beginning of the journey
- 20:13it's like oh
- 20:14my gosh there's this whole
- 20:16human detoxification system that is so unbelievably powerful
- 20:20in our bodies that impacts everything
- 20:24hmm immune function
- 20:26cognitive health you name it
- 20:29and the human detoxification system plays a huge role
- 20:32in what's happening with us
- 20:34and now you look at everything we're exposed to
- 20:38and it's now even more important that we really pay attention to
- 20:43this system which
- 20:44you know we hear about the cardiovascular system and
- 20:47you know the immune system
- 20:49but how many times do you hear about the human detoxification system
- 20:52but it's it's
- 20:53it's such a powerful system in the body that yeah
- 20:58we need to be talking about um
- 21:00so that we can take care of ourselves
- 21:02yeah I love that so much
- 21:03I think you're so right that we just don't talk about it enough
- 21:06I feel like some I hear people talk about it a lot right now
- 21:09like in the last couple of days
- 21:11they're like oh
- 21:11I need to detox yeah
- 21:12the New Year I want detox and it's like no
- 21:15no no
- 21:15like this is like a an ongoing like forever thing
- 21:20you know you always need to detox
- 21:22not just at the beginning of the year
- 21:24yeah right
- 21:25I mean gluttonous
- 21:26great for that too for out detoxing from alcohol
- 21:29a lot of my patients be like
- 21:30you know Doctor Gina
- 21:31why I get so much of your best daily ever
- 21:33it's because well
- 21:35I know that if I've been drinking too much and and they know I'm
- 21:38you know I'm I'm always telling people to stop drinking
- 21:41and so they don't like that about me
- 21:43but they know that right
- 21:44but they'll be like look
- 21:45I'm gonna drink and I take best daily ever and then I feel I don't
- 21:48you know I don't have a hangover in the morning
- 21:50I'm like well
- 21:51it is helping you to detox
- 21:52you know yeah
- 21:53but with regard to detoxification
- 21:55so I mean we're detoxing 24 7
- 21:59our bodies are
- 22:00there are so many amazing innate mechanisms in place designed there
- 22:04and they're so intricate
- 22:05but they're designed to take toxins from our environment
- 22:09and remove them so they don't cause harm
- 22:12and so yes
- 22:13like you're saying it's a day to day thing
- 22:15we wanna be supporting our detox system in one way or another
- 22:20day to day you know
- 22:22not just you know
- 22:24once a year or after partying right
- 22:27right and that's right
- 22:28and it is we all know
- 22:30that it's our daily habits that have the biggest impact on our lives
- 22:35so I'm always saying just pick one
- 22:37do one thing consciously daily that
- 22:41you know is supporting your human detoxification system that
- 22:44that system in your body um
- 22:47and you will be serving your body well
- 22:50you know because it just
- 22:51but like actually making that conscious decision okay
- 22:54I'm going to make sure I sweat every day
- 22:56because your skin is your largest detox organ right
- 22:59or I take I'm big fan of glutathione
- 23:02taking glutathione every day
- 23:03I'm getting out in the sun
- 23:05I'm spending time in nature every day
- 23:07and that's regulating my cortisol levels
- 23:09and that's supporting detoxification cause
- 23:11limiting the amount of toxins that are burning my system
- 23:15um there's so many ways
- 23:18sauna therapy
- 23:19removing plastic you know
- 23:21stop drinking plastic uh
- 23:24water from a plastic bottle right
- 23:25that's that's one you can do
- 23:27where you just make that decision and you pivot away from it
- 23:30but whatever it is everybody's different right
- 23:32and so whatever works for you
- 23:33there's something so yeah
- 23:35just it and just making that conscious decision
- 23:37I'm gonna support my body's innate detox mechanisms
- 23:42as a way to work with my body
- 23:46that's working for me 24 7
- 23:50I love that
- 23:52um I wanted to ask you about
- 23:54you mentioned a couple times you said one thing
- 23:58you said that um
- 24:01the whole
- 24:02like a couple times you said that the process was kind of divine
- 24:06like you and you felt like you were caught
- 24:10like this is your calling right
- 24:12like and I just wanna point out
- 24:13cause I spend a lot of time talking to clients and
- 24:17and other people I interview and stuff
- 24:19talking about kind of like
- 24:21leaning into like your intuition and trusting the process
- 24:26because like sometimes
- 24:27like for you right now you're launching you
- 24:30you're launching this plutonium
- 24:31like this supplement finally came to fruition
- 24:34but this is like a 20 year process that you've been on this
- 24:38this journey and like
- 24:40so I just wanna like
- 24:41I'd love to hear kind of your take on that piece of it
- 24:45of it being like this whole process that took over 20 years or 20
- 24:51took you 20 years like
- 24:52how did you know along the way that you were like going the right way
- 24:57that this was what you were supposed to do
- 25:01and this was you know
- 25:02your calling how did you know
- 25:05so you know
- 25:06what's weird about that is it wasn't like a
- 25:09I didn't question it like
- 25:12how do I I question a lot of things
- 25:14you know I've got an analytic mind
- 25:15so I'm questioning things all the time right
- 25:18and when I when you ask that question
- 25:20I I was kind of processing it
- 25:22I'm like it just naturally happened
- 25:25the whole thing with like formulating supplements
- 25:27and it just kind of happened
- 25:30and I think back my parents had this um
- 25:34it was it was uh
- 25:35what was their what their names
- 25:36I don't wanna say their names wrong
- 25:38it was the life extension book
- 25:40and I can't think of their names right now
- 25:42but anyways
- 25:42this is big thick book and it was all about nutritional supplements
- 25:45and this is back you know
- 25:47we're talking in the 80s right
- 25:49and nobody talked about supplements
- 25:50and I remember I would sit there and read through it
- 25:53and I was so fascinated by it
- 25:54so that's why it's like just kind of naturally something about it
- 25:58right and then when I was in high school
- 26:01I started taking college courses at like the local community college
- 26:05cause my mom was like okay
- 26:06she's bored and she was a teacher
- 26:08so she saw that thank god
- 26:10and so she was having me take
- 26:11and I took a nutrition course
- 26:13and that just like opened up my whole world
- 26:15oh my gosh nutrition is so powerful right
- 26:19um and then like I said
- 26:21there was a speaker that came when I was in medical school
- 26:23just starting out and he was from the supplement world
- 26:26I'm like okay
- 26:26this is definitely what I want to do
- 26:28I just knew it you know
- 26:29um and so it wasn't
- 26:33like I I always knew I wanted to be a doctor right
- 26:36like I don't
- 26:36I don't know where like it was because my parents talked about
- 26:39I don't know but I just did the supplement thing though
- 26:43it just it just organically happened over time
- 26:47and I didn't have a um
- 26:50I didn't say okay
- 26:51I wanna create 10 supplements by the time I'm 30
- 26:55you know it wasn't that
- 26:56it wasn't that type I didn't have like a goal about that
- 26:58but it just always sort of
- 27:00it developed over time
- 27:01I was hired as a director of research for Standard Process Nutrition
- 27:04I built out their research department
- 27:06formulate a bunch of products for them
- 27:08you know and loved it
- 27:10loved it and so um
- 27:14yeah
- 27:16I think it didn't matter that it's taken so long
- 27:20yeah so that like there
- 27:23and I'm not the most patient person on the planet
- 27:26not at all you know
- 27:27and so when you when you say it that way
- 27:29when you're like wow
- 27:30it's been 20 years I'm like yeah
- 27:33that's
- 27:34but I've never every step was important in that journey though yes
- 27:39I had to be I had to have the knowledge
- 27:41you know
- 27:42I had to have personally experienced the benefits truly and had it
- 27:46you know
- 27:47really walk the talk and feel the difference and know it to be true
- 27:51regardless of what I was taught
- 27:53I had to know it and experience it
- 27:55um and then little by little
- 27:57like when I was to get through medical school
- 27:59I was hired to educate doctors
- 28:02in the clinic on nutritional supplements
- 28:05from a supplement company that I was hired by right
- 28:07and so I've been just little by little I yeah
- 28:11it just happened over time and it's kind of
- 28:14cause I think about like where did glutathione come from
- 28:16you know that again
- 28:17it fell in my lap I was hired by a company
- 28:20who made a form of glutathione that was bioavailable in oral form
- 28:25and they wanted me to research it in my practice
- 28:27because I was really big on detoxification
- 28:30and because I was hired I spent the time
- 28:34you know what doctors don't really have that much time to spend
- 28:37doing the type of research
- 28:39I did but I was hired to do it
- 28:42and so you know
- 28:43I was like okay
- 28:43god was like okay
- 28:44we want you to really focus on this right
- 28:46yeah and then it just kind of it it
- 28:49it continued from there I had to really understand the
- 28:52the
- 28:53behind the scenes of what it takes to create a nutritional supplement
- 28:56a quality one what is involved
- 28:59and so by being director of research of one of the world's largest
- 29:03nutritional supplement companies
- 29:05it gave me so much experience
- 29:07I'm so grateful for that time
- 29:10um
- 29:12and so yeah
- 29:13and then it's kind of funny um
- 29:16one of the people that I work with
- 29:17he was like I don't know how he came up with Vitamin G and it was like
- 29:21Doctor Gina Vitamin I was like
- 29:23oh that's weird
- 29:24but it's kind of stuck right
- 29:26because I was I was saying
- 29:27we need a better word than glutathion
- 29:29nobody can remember that it's like from a marketing perspective
- 29:32who's gonna it's just not an attractive word
- 29:34and then vitamin G came to be and it's just kind of funny that is g
- 29:39you know yeah
- 29:41that's so cool I just feel like I asked that just because I'm like
- 29:45I feel like so many times I talk to people who are like
- 29:48comparing their their journey
- 29:51like I talk to people who are go on a health journey right like
- 29:54and and they're comparing their chapter 1 to my chapter 20
- 30:00they're saying like oh
- 30:01well like how do I get there
- 30:03and then they just get like focused on like okay
- 30:06well that's like so far off and I'm like no
- 30:09you just like baby steps right
- 30:12like just like with anything with your with your whole journey
- 30:16it's like you maybe you didn't know the endgame
- 30:18you didn't know that gluthione supplements like 20 years ago
- 30:21you might not have known that
- 30:22but like you just kept taking the next step
- 30:26and just following your intuition
- 30:28and taking the opportunities when they came up
- 30:31and just trying to be better every single day
- 30:33it sounds like yeah and I mean I've had many many Roblox along the way
- 30:39especially with no way with creating this product
- 30:42holy moly if I told you the number of sleepless nights I've had
- 30:47it's been a journey
- 30:49and but but every time I wanted to quit because it's overwhelming
- 30:54I'm a single mother I'm doing all you know
- 30:57it's like I've got a lot on my plate all the time
- 30:59and every time I'd wanna be like forget
- 31:02I'm done I'm I'm sick of this
- 31:04I can't handle it anymore
- 31:05something would happen
- 31:06it'd either be a testimonial would come in where I'm like
- 31:10oh no I can't stop or a comment with something inevitably happened
- 31:15I'm like okay
- 31:16I need to keep going and and it it it's still to this day
- 31:19it's like oh my gosh
- 31:20another moving part that I have to deal with
- 31:22like it's not easy to be the CEO of a supplement company
- 31:25it's it's it's a big job and always and that's where I'm like
- 31:30you know that's where I just have trust because yeah
- 31:33it just seems like I'm like look
- 31:35if this is what's meant to be and I'm meant to do this in this way
- 31:40I'm going to allow this to happen
- 31:41and I have big I have visions like I have bigger dreams
- 31:45like I have a foundation called the Brain
- 31:47Health and Mental Wellness Foundation
- 31:49you know I
- 31:50I wanna create a retreat for mothers and their children
- 31:53to help them to improve their
- 31:56through like biohacking treatments and glutathione and all of that
- 31:59but truly that's you know
- 32:01supported by the foundation
- 32:03so mothers and their children who are struggling in any way
- 32:06that they have a place to go to heal
- 32:09and become more of who they really are
- 32:12so they can be wonderful leaders for their children
- 32:14and their children can learn from them um
- 32:17oh I love
- 32:18and there's a whole thing to that there's
- 32:19you know regenerative agriculture
- 32:23farm and animal sanctuary
- 32:26that it's all integrated into this whole thing
- 32:28so that's kind of brewing out there um
- 32:30I can't like you know
- 32:32how it happens and when and where that's not
- 32:36you know that's all in divine right timing and
- 32:39and it's hard to have patience
- 32:40cause I mean I'm like half there already
- 32:42you know sometimes it feels I'm like half of me is already there
- 32:45so I'm like okay
- 32:45I'm ready for the other half to be there and just fully do this um
- 32:50but I kind of um
- 32:51you know the five hour energy drink
- 32:54so you know how um
- 32:56Minaj who who started that company
- 32:59how he had like you know
- 33:01it became really successful as this one product
- 33:03but then he
- 33:04he was committed to investing the majority of the proceeds into like
- 33:10things that help to heal the planet
- 33:11different technologies and things that help and
- 33:13and and so I was like okay
- 33:14this is gonna be not the same as
- 33:16you know I'm not him and all
- 33:19you know I'm
- 33:19but it's like a similar model where I envision this glutathione
- 33:24these glutathione products as
- 33:27you know
- 33:27a way to fund the foundation and the things I'm really here to do so
- 33:34yeah
- 33:36wow what incredible incredible story what an incredible person you are
- 33:43what so cool I am so cool
- 33:46I'm just blown away by by everything but again
- 33:51it's it's it's like I've had so I've been challenged in every way
- 33:56like truly in every way possible
- 33:58and so when I finally got the product
- 34:00and I'm like holding it in my hand like
- 34:02oh wow this is a miracle
- 34:04it's a miracle that this is here in the way that I wanted it
- 34:08cause I was very particular about I mean
- 34:11the ingredients and how it's manufactured
- 34:14like the manufacturing company
- 34:16it like gets annoyed with me all the time because I'm so picky right
- 34:20but it's so I got to create something that I
- 34:23that I personally take my child take my nephew takes that I love
- 34:28and that's after against formulating products for 20+
- 34:31what an accomplishment that is so cool yeah
- 34:35well if anybody wants to try it or wants to look you up
- 34:39how would they do that
- 34:42so the product if you're interested in the glutethione
- 34:44it's the website is best Daily ever.com best at daily ever.com
- 34:51my daughter came up with that name
- 34:54there are branding people that are saying they wanna change it
- 34:56and who knows but it's best at daily ever.com
- 35:00and then my my just my medical practice and stuff
