- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, I finished yesterday.
- 0:01Speaker 2: So, uh, you know, obviously we're going to get into
- 0:03Speaker 2: the Emmys in about 45 minutes, but I watched the Emmys.
- 0:05Speaker 1: I watched a lot of Monday night football, but.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I got really into finishing, uh, Chad Powers. I did
- 0:12Speaker 2: last night and then I didn't realize only six episodes.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:14Speaker 1: It's such a quick watch. It's interesting.
- 0:16Speaker 2: The evolution of that show because season one of Chad
- 0:19Speaker 2: Powers was hysterically funny. Season two was cute, but really good.
- 0:27Speaker 2: It was more of a storyline. It was more of
- 0:28Speaker 2: a storyline and more of a, is he going to
- 0:30Speaker 2: get caught? Is he not going to get caught? This
- 0:31Speaker 2: love story. It was really well done, but it wasn't like,
- 0:34Speaker 2: ha ha, laugh out funny. But it was still like,
- 0:36Speaker 2: I couldn't wait for the next episode. I couldn't wait
- 0:38Speaker 2: for the next episode. But while I was watching it,
- 0:39Speaker 2: I saw that number one right now is Mormon Wives.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yep. Yeah. I haven't seen that show yet. I've watched
- 0:45Speaker 1: all five of them. I am finished. But Kyle, there's
- 0:48Speaker 1: like crazy news.
- 0:49Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I'm on episode four and I've heard the news that
- 0:54Speaker 4: Michaela has chosen to be to quit for now, she says,
- 0:58Speaker 4: for now. And the thing is, is like, she's shared
- 1:01Speaker 4: a lot of her story. She's had a lot of
- 1:03Speaker 4: trauma in her life, specifically with abuse. And she was like,
- 1:06Speaker 4: there is no amount of money that could make me
- 1:10Speaker 4: like ignore my morals or go against my morals. So
- 1:14Speaker 4: for now I can't agree to be a part of
- 1:16Speaker 4: this show. And I think a lot of it had
- 1:18Speaker 4: to do with Taylor, Frankie, Paul, and not wanting to
- 1:20Speaker 4: be like criticized for everything that came out and all
- 1:23Speaker 4: that stuff. So I think she just chose, I know
- 1:25Speaker 4: that the cast is filming season six in Italy right now.
- 1:28Speaker 5: It's there, there's a lot, almost everybody on that show.
- 1:31Speaker 5: I can only think of maybe one or two people
- 1:33Speaker 5: that doesn't have kind of a greasy story in And
- 1:36Speaker 5: the more you're you've got like wild stuff to share.
- 1:40Speaker 5: If you're cheating on your husband, like, you know, Jesse
- 1:43Speaker 5: apparently is doing like you get more screen time. So
- 1:47Speaker 5: they show your story more. The more messed up you are.
- 1:50Speaker 5: And every one of those people needs to be in
- 1:52Speaker 5: severe therapy for the most part. They are messed up.
- 1:54Speaker 5: So it's also great to watch.
- 1:55Speaker 1: She quit. She quit for now. She made her decision.
- 1:58Speaker 4: She said at the moment, she's like, I can't be
- 2:00Speaker 4: a part of this.
- 2:01Speaker 1: So was it on TV or it's on social media
- 2:04Speaker 1: that she posted it? And I kind of feel.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Like if they if they said, OK, you don't have.
- 2:09Speaker 1: To do this, isn't this?
- 2:10Speaker 3: She may be back.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I don't think it was like I'm quitting for good.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Is it more like she's jealous of the Taylor Frankie
- 2:16Speaker 2: Paul publicity.
- 2:18Speaker 1: For negative stuff?
- 2:19Speaker 2: So she quit her job. She quit her job. So
- 2:21Speaker 2: she quit her job on social media. We want to
- 2:24Speaker 2: get into iconic ways you quit your job.
- 2:27Speaker 1: All right. So 877-937-1047.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I might throw some Kanye tickets in there for you.
- 2:31Speaker 2: And it made me think of this world famous DJ.
- 2:35Speaker 2: And she's only world famous because of the way she
- 2:37Speaker 2: quit her job. She's live on the air. Inetta the Moodsetter.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Here's what happened.
- 2:44Speaker 3: The big station 93 BLX is Gulf Coast number one
- 2:47Speaker 3: for hip-hop and R & B. And now it's Ray
- 2:49Speaker 3: Ray and Miranda, the home team in the morning. Do
- 2:53Speaker 3: it to it. What better song to do it to it?
- 2:56Speaker 3: It's our net of the moveset. And I told you
- 2:58Speaker 3: I had a very important announcement. And here it is.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I refuse.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I refuse to walk around and watch people on my
- 3:08Speaker 3: job looking over my shoulder. People lying to me, people
- 3:12Speaker 3: talking about me.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It's ridiculous.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It is sad.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I can't take it.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I'm not going to take it. I don't have to
- 3:21Speaker 3: take it. I'm not a dummy. I know how to
- 3:23Speaker 3: find another job. But I refuse to walk around people.
- 3:27Speaker 3: You can say what you want to say about me.
- 3:29Speaker 3: And if you see me on the street, I'll let
- 3:32Speaker 3: you know whatever you want to know.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But I refuse.
- 3:35Speaker 3: For the last six years, I made $ 6. 00. An hour,
- 3:39Speaker 3: that ain't nothing. I just got a raise after six years.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I know I'm qualified, and after saying this, I don't
- 3:47Speaker 3: care if I ever get another job in radio, period.
- 3:51Speaker 3: It does not matter to me. I never will not
- 3:56Speaker 3: be setting the mood at BLX no more. I refuse
- 4:00Speaker 3: to walk around with people that speak to you. Hey,
- 4:04Speaker 3: I never.
- 4:05Speaker 6: How you doing?
- 4:06Speaker 3: But as soon as you walk by that bitch, I
- 4:09Speaker 3: will not do it to myself anymore. So if you're
- 4:13Speaker 3: confused about what I'm saying, listen very carefully.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I quit this bitch. I'm a big station.
- 4:21Speaker 3: B-L-A.
- 4:22Speaker 1: That's how she quit her job. So we want to
- 4:23Speaker 1: know the iconic way you quit your job. Taj, you're
- 4:27Speaker 1: on the air. Good morning.
- 4:29Speaker 7: Hey, good morning. Back when I used to live in California,
- 4:32Speaker 7: I worked for a place that did enterprise computers, which
- 4:35Speaker 7: is where you program every computer to work for the
- 4:38Speaker 7: same company. And my boss had told me something to do,
- 4:42Speaker 7: but my higher-up boss had already given me an assignment.
- 4:44Speaker 7: So I told him no. He called me the B word,
- 4:47Speaker 7: so I flipped every single computer in that place onto
- 4:50Speaker 7: the floor, and I tried to fight him, and I
- 4:53Speaker 7: walked out and never looked back.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Whoa, that is iconic. That is iconic. When you say
- 5:00Speaker 1: you tried to fight him, what do you mean? Like
- 5:01Speaker 1: you went at him?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Oh, I did.
- 5:04Speaker 7: I told him to meet me outside.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, that's a challenge. Right, he needs to watch
- 5:08Speaker 5: his mouth.
- 5:09Speaker 7: Yeah, he was like six foot something, was like big dude, And, yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 7: he called me out on my name, so it was up.
- 5:16Speaker 2: All right, Taj, we put you in the running right
- 5:19Speaker 2: now for Kanye tickets, so hold on the line.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Very good. Very, very good, yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So we want to get into the iconic way you
- 5:25Speaker 2: quit your job, 877-937-1047. We will get into that next
- 5:30Speaker 2: with John Jane Rich.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I quit this bitch.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Take this job and shove it.
- 5:36Speaker 1: All right, so in the.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Entertainment World, one of the girls from the Mormon Wives
- 5:40Speaker 2: quit on social media yesterday.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Michaela. We got some Kanye tickets.
- 5:43Speaker 2: We thought we want to hear about the iconic way
- 5:45Speaker 2: you quit your job, and we'll give you Kanye tickets.
- 5:47Speaker 2: We're also like nine minutes away from Disney, so keep listening,
- 5:50Speaker 2: keep listening. Jennifer, tell us about the iconic way you
- 5:53Speaker 2: quit your job.
- 5:56Speaker 8: So this wasn't me, but I was a supervisor at
- 5:59Speaker 8: one of the hospitals in the Valley, and we had
- 6:02Speaker 8: one of our triage nurses who worked nights, and he...
- 6:08Speaker 8: would always like kind of complain about, well, I can't
- 6:11Speaker 8: do this because of this reason, or I'm the only
- 6:14Speaker 8: guy here, so I can't do this with a female patient.
- 6:17Speaker 8: And so we would tell him, just reach out to
- 6:20Speaker 8: the supervisor, which was me, female nurse, and I could
- 6:23Speaker 8: come in and help you. So he complained and complained
- 6:26Speaker 8: and complained. And one day he set up like Literally,
- 6:32Speaker 8: we work in a locked facility. So, like, he propped
- 6:35Speaker 8: the doors open to where he could get out and
- 6:37Speaker 8: leave his keys on his desk. But the iconic part
- 6:41Speaker 8: about it was he turned on this video on YouTube.
- 6:46Speaker 8: And it's been two years, and people still talk about this.
- 6:50Speaker 8: And it's called F This Job on YouTube. And so
- 6:53Speaker 8: it says, F This Job. I quit. F This Job.
- 6:58Speaker 8: I don't need this S word. He's like, F this job,
- 7:02Speaker 8: my boss a B word. And that's the song. And
- 7:05Speaker 8: so people literally laugh and talk about it all the
- 7:07Speaker 8: time when they're like, oh, my God, I'm going to quit.
- 7:09Speaker 8: And they're like, are you going to do what so-and-so
- 7:11Speaker 8: did and play the song? So when his boss walked in,
- 7:14Speaker 8: it was playing on repeat. His keys were on the desk,
- 7:18Speaker 8: his badge was on the desk. I was like, oh,
- 7:20Speaker 8: my God, that's awesome.
- 7:21Speaker 1: It was literally his walkout song.
- 7:24Speaker 8: Yes, it was like playing on repeat over and over,
- 7:27Speaker 8: and we're like, did he seriously just do that? I
- 7:31Speaker 8: have the song.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Right here queued up. Just kidding, I don't.
- 7:35Speaker 5: That would have been perfect.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I was going to make Rich panic. I did. Ron, Ron,
- 7:41Speaker 1: iconic way you quit your job. What do you got, Ron? Hey,
- 7:45Speaker 1: good morning.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Morning.
- 7:46Speaker 9: Is this me? Hey, all right, so... The way I
- 7:49Speaker 9: quit my job a while back is I was a
- 7:51Speaker 9: sales representative for an organization. And long story short, when
- 7:57Speaker 9: we split the territory, I was being told I wasn't
- 7:59Speaker 9: going to get the commission check that I had worked for.
- 8:02Speaker 9: Because the closing time was going to happen after the
- 8:06Speaker 9: new guy was going to acquire that slice of the territory.
- 8:10Speaker 9: So that was kind of like a punch to the gut.
- 8:12Speaker 6: So what I decided... was that.
- 8:15Speaker 9: I was just going to start taking all my PTO.
- 8:17Speaker 9: And I think I'd racked up nearly 80 hours of
- 8:20Speaker 9: PTO at that time. So I said, hey, I'm going
- 8:23Speaker 9: to go out of the country. I can answer a
- 8:26Speaker 9: phone call here and there, but I'm going to be
- 8:27Speaker 9: on PTO for the most part. And so at the
- 8:30Speaker 9: very end of the PTO, I had actually found another job,
- 8:33Speaker 9: and I was set to start that very next week.
- 8:36Speaker 9: And then when I came back, everything was cool, no problem.
- 8:40Speaker 9: And I decided, hey, I'm going to start to be sick.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And so I got sick.
- 8:44Speaker 9: And I cashed out the rest of my sick leave.
- 8:47Speaker 9: And then right when I was about to come back,
- 8:49Speaker 9: I was already a week into the new job, and then, yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 9: I just brought the equipment back along with my resignation letter,
- 8:56Speaker 9: and I just walked out.
- 8:57Speaker 1: That was pretty much it.
- 8:58Speaker 10: All right.
- 8:59Speaker 1: That's not very iconic, but thank you. He cashed in
- 9:01Speaker 1: his money. Christine, good morning. Iconic way you quit your.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Job.
- 9:07Speaker 11: Yes, okay, so long story short, I opened up a
- 9:10Speaker 11: kind of like a hair blow-dry bar in Scottsdale. And
- 9:14Speaker 11: there was a show that was there trying to go on.
- 9:17Speaker 11: It was like the Real Housewives of Scottsdale or something
- 9:20Speaker 11: like that. So all these girls were coming in. And
- 9:23Speaker 11: there was only like five.
- 9:24Speaker 7: Of us there.
- 9:25Speaker 11: And I kept getting a call from my boyfriend. And
- 9:27Speaker 11: I'm like, what is going on? I'm like, I need
- 9:30Speaker 11: to go answer this. So I answered it. And he's
- 9:32Speaker 11: like very sick, like throwing up, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 9:36Speaker 11: He's like, my manager is going to take me to
- 9:38Speaker 11: the ER tomorrow. You need to come there and meet
- 9:41Speaker 11: me there. And I'm like, okay, okay. So I go
- 9:43Speaker 11: ask the manager. I'm like, hey, I have to leave. Like,
- 9:45Speaker 11: I don't have any choice. I'm like, no, you can't.
- 9:48Speaker 11: And I'm like, well, this is kind of an emergency.
- 9:51Speaker 11: I need to.
- 9:51Speaker 6: I'm like, no, you can't.
- 9:53Speaker 11: Scottsdale is way more important than your boyfriend. And I'm like, oh, Oh,
- 9:57Speaker 11: is that.
- 9:57Speaker 8: What that is?
- 9:58Speaker 6: Okay.
- 9:58Speaker 11: Well come to find out he was at the ER
- 10:01Speaker 11: and he's like a pre-diabetic now or then. So I'm like, no,
- 10:06Speaker 11: you know what?
- 10:06Speaker 10: I'm sorry.
- 10:07Speaker 11: Don't you do hair? You open this for a reason.
- 10:09Speaker 11: So I think you should do the Scottsdale girl's hair.
- 10:13Speaker 11: And I just walked out and I came back the
- 10:15Speaker 11: next day. And I told her, I was like, hey,
- 10:17Speaker 11: so do you think that was really right of you
- 10:19Speaker 11: to do that when my boyfriend almost died? And she's like, yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 11: I think there's still a little bit more importance in
- 10:24Speaker 11: your boyfriend.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Double down.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I was like, wow. Okay.
- 10:33Speaker 11: I'll never tell anyone to go there or work there again.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Sounds good. Then you turned around and quit?
- 10:39Speaker 11: Yeah, I did quit that day when he was calling me.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But I went back the next day and I had.
- 10:44Speaker 11: To tell her.
- 10:45Speaker 7: Yes, I'm like, get out of here.
- 10:47Speaker 11: Who cares about these cocktail girls? And they never even
- 10:49Speaker 11: made a show anyway.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That's right. I haven't seen that show. Susanna, thanks for holding.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Tell us about the iconic way you quit your job.
- 10:57Speaker 11: Hello?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Go ahead. You're on the air.
- 10:59Speaker 10: Hey, so I used to work for a dental company
- 11:03Speaker 10: that also had a nonprofit, which was basically non-existent because
- 11:07Speaker 10: the guy I worked for was just a piece of,
- 11:10Speaker 10: you know what? And he would just take donations and
- 11:14Speaker 10: keep bumping stuff. And one time they had, like, this
- 11:16Speaker 10: big convention thing for people to go at the Phoenix
- 11:21Speaker 10: Convention Center. This was, like, eight years ago. Everybody would
- 11:24Speaker 10: go there, and then you would get free stuff. You
- 11:26Speaker 10: could get, like, free dental and vision, and then you
- 11:28Speaker 10: would get good effects and stuff. I don't remember the.
- 11:30Speaker 11: Name of it.
- 11:31Speaker 10: And the guy told me, yeah, if you guys come,
- 11:33Speaker 10: you know, with your mobile clinic and give stuff out
- 11:36Speaker 10: to people, like, we'll make, like, a really big donation.
- 11:39Speaker 10: I told my boss about it. He was like, oh,
- 11:41Speaker 10: I can't afford to pay you guys to go. So
- 11:43Speaker 10: I convinced my whole team to go and donate our time.
- 11:46Speaker 10: And the company that was having us there said, we're
- 11:48Speaker 10: going to give you guys electric toothbrushes for coming. And
- 11:52Speaker 10: we'll treat you guys to lunch since you guys aren't
- 11:54Speaker 10: getting paid. I was like, OK. So I convinced my
- 11:56Speaker 10: team to go. It was like five of us. When
- 11:58Speaker 10: we got the donation for the electric toothbrushes and stuff,
- 12:01Speaker 10: he took them with him to his house.
- 12:03Speaker 5: He took all the electric toothbrushes himself?
- 12:05Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 10: Instead of giving it to myself and the employees, I
- 12:10Speaker 10: was losing it because I was their boss. So they
- 12:12Speaker 10: were giving all their, you know, they were mad at
- 12:15Speaker 10: me because they donated like the whole day. I was just,
- 12:18Speaker 10: it was like the tip of the iceberg. I was
- 12:20Speaker 10: already mad about a lot of stuff. It was like
- 12:22Speaker 10: a nonprofit. I was underpaid, but you know, oh, it's
- 12:24Speaker 10: for the kids and blah, blah, blah. And I was like, no,
- 12:26Speaker 10: I'm trying to be a good person. At the end,
- 12:28Speaker 10: I was like, F this. So I, we used to
- 12:31Speaker 10: have like audits from like Mercy Care and like all these, um,
- 12:36Speaker 10: places for insurance because we would also take insurance from
- 12:39Speaker 10: the nonprofit. So I scheduled it on a day and
- 12:41Speaker 10: I didn't tell him about it. And since he really
- 12:43Speaker 10: didn't know much about it, I was like full-time and
- 12:46Speaker 10: running everything for him. I told him to meet me
- 12:48Speaker 10: at the mobile on the same day. And then when
- 12:50Speaker 10: the lady walked in and he walked in there first,
- 12:52Speaker 10: the lady walked in, he was like, oh, who is this?
- 12:54Speaker 10: He had like a big German accent. He was like,
- 12:57Speaker 10: who is this? And I was like, oh, this is
- 12:59Speaker 10: Mercy Care. And F you, I quit. And the lady
- 13:02Speaker 10: just looked at me and Like, she was, like, staring
- 13:06Speaker 10: at me, like, with big eyes. And I was like, yeah, bye.
- 13:08Speaker 11: And I was leaving.
- 13:09Speaker 10: He's like, Susan, I want you to go out the door.
- 13:11Speaker 10: I was like, yeah. I'm going out the freaking door.
- 13:14Speaker 6: I was like, bye.
- 13:15Speaker 10: And I left. I was really mad. And then after that,
- 13:18Speaker 10: I heard some stuff that they got, like, a bunch
- 13:21Speaker 10: of red flags because things weren't in order. Because you
- 13:23Speaker 10: have to prepare for an audit, you know? Like, you
- 13:25Speaker 10: have to be clean and do, like, a bunch of stuff.
- 13:28Speaker 10: I didn't do any of it. And I don't regret it.
- 13:30Speaker 10: The people that I tell this story to, they're like, oh,
- 13:32Speaker 10: but the kids. I'm like, no. He didn't give a
- 13:34Speaker 10: shit about the kids.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Okay, now you cuss. Now you're out. Robert, Robert, tell
- 13:40Speaker 1: us about the iconic way you quit your job.
- 13:43Speaker 6: Good morning. So it wasn't me, but so back when
- 13:47Speaker 6: I was probably like 20 years old, I had a
- 13:50Speaker 6: friend that I had staying with me, and he worked
- 13:52Speaker 6: at a dollar store. And he didn't like the way
- 13:55Speaker 6: everything was going there and the way they were treating
- 13:57Speaker 6: him and how he was getting paid. So one day
- 14:00Speaker 6: him and another one of my buddies decided to go
- 14:02Speaker 6: rob the place. So, yeah, they went in and they
- 14:06Speaker 6: robbed it. They got away with probably like six thousand dollars.
- 14:09Speaker 6: But they used my friend's car and, you know, they
- 14:13Speaker 6: found the license plate. And the way I found out,
- 14:16Speaker 6: which was really weird, because at the time I worked
- 14:18Speaker 6: out in the corrections field and I went into a
- 14:22Speaker 6: housing unit and there was my buddy that I would
- 14:25Speaker 6: let him stay with me for a couple of weeks.
- 14:27Speaker 6: And I was like, what happened? He's like, they just worked.
- 14:30Speaker 6: weren't paying me right. And I didn't like it. So
- 14:32Speaker 6: I decided to go rob it and get the money
- 14:35Speaker 6: out of it. And I'm like, I guess you quit, huh?
- 14:38Speaker 6: He was like, yeah. So I was like, that's pretty
- 14:41Speaker 6: weird way to try to quit a job.
- 14:43Speaker 2: So he stole 6,000 items from the dollar store.
- 14:46Speaker 10: 6,000.
- 14:48Speaker 6: They're all a dollar. Pretty much.
- 14:50Speaker 3: All right.
- 14:51Speaker 6: Hold on.
- 14:51Speaker 2: That's going to be at least most of the store.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Hey Taj, how are you? Thanks for holding.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Oh, I'm good.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Taj is the one that started this whole thing.
- 15:02Speaker 2: She quit her job, flipped over all the computers, and
- 15:04Speaker 2: tried to fight her six-foot-four boss.
- 15:06Speaker 9: Big time.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Pretty iconic. Taj, you want to go see Kanye West?
- 15:11Speaker 6: Oh, my God, yes.
- 15:12Speaker 1: All right, you win. You are our winner.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yay!
- 15:15Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Just don't quit.
- 15:16Speaker 6: Oh, my God. Thank you guys so much.
- 15:18Speaker 1: You got it, because you didn't quit. You stayed on
- 15:21Speaker 1: the line. You didn't quit. I quit this bitch. You're
- 15:25Speaker 1: going to go see Kanye West in November. We're going
- 15:27Speaker 1: to set you up. Hold on the line.
