- 1:41Speaker 3: there's one child that I know of that's coming. I'm

- 2:23Speaker 3: but it might be cringey for me to watch. I
- 2:25Speaker 3: don't know.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You don't remember much from it, do you. I remember
- 2:28Speaker 2: a bit a bit.
- 2:29Speaker 4: That's good, I think you think.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the last day, which is super cool.
- 2:36Speaker 3: So I'm gonna just like dive right in.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Let's do it. What do you got for us?
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:43Speaker 3: And I'm actually curious to anyone guess because we kind
- 2:45Speaker 3: of dropped some hints.
- 2:46Speaker 2: But we did have someone on Instagram guests Actually.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Oh did they they did?
- 2:51Speaker 2: What do mean you didn't see it? I'm pretty sure
- 2:52Speaker 2: you saw it. You did. Hold on, I'm gonna go
- 2:55Speaker 2: go find it. Okay, see where it is, see who
- 2:58Speaker 2: it was. I'm I'm ninety percent sure I slid it
- 3:01Speaker 2: across the table and showed you.
- 3:02Speaker 3: And you're like, oh yeah cool, oh me, yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry,
- 3:06Speaker 3: oh yeah, me, yeah yeah yeah. Uh. I'm terrible. I
- 3:10Speaker 3: just my memory is just going here.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It's Zunga love.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Okay, what do they say again?
- 3:15Speaker 2: They said tomorrow's guests dot dot dot Amityville Horror.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Okay, they're smart and it's good.
- 3:22Speaker 2: And they also said high from the coast of BC
- 3:24Speaker 2: in Powell River.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yeah, that is so fun.
- 3:29Speaker 2: So from British Columbian to British Columbian, you nailed it.
- 3:33Speaker 2: You got it right. It's Amityville Horror.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Boom.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Nicole lay it on us.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Okay, So it was November thirteenth, nineteen seventy four. I
- 3:43Speaker 3: feel like this is like a newer case we're ones
- 3:46Speaker 3: that we've been doing comparatively. Yeah, when Ronald Dfael Senior,
- 3:52Speaker 3: age forty three, his wife Louise age forty two, and
- 3:57Speaker 3: their children Dawn eighteen, also thirteen, Mark eleven, and John
- 4:03Speaker 3: nine were all shot dead.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Damn.
- 4:08Speaker 3: This is the Amityville murders and the tales that would follow.
- 4:13Speaker 2: This is such a fucked up case.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I know.
- 4:15Speaker 3: It was actually like a little bit fucked up to
- 4:17Speaker 3: research too, because there's like a lot out there, and
- 4:21Speaker 3: then it kind of just is like, oh my gosh,
- 4:23Speaker 3: am I gonna like do this justice? You know, like
- 4:26Speaker 3: this there's like so much out there about this, Like
- 4:28Speaker 3: you he's really famous.
- 4:29Speaker 2: You could probably talk about this case for a days
- 4:32Speaker 2: a week straight, like.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so obviously there's we can't cover everything because
- 4:38Speaker 3: that would mean it was like an eight hour podcast maybe.
- 4:41Speaker 1: So.
- 4:42Speaker 3: The evening of November thirteenth, Ronald de Feo Junior, or
- 4:48Speaker 3: Butch as people referred to him by, he entered a
- 4:51Speaker 3: nearby Amneville bar, telling people his parents had been shot
- 4:56Speaker 3: inside their home. Followed back to his house by several
- 5:01Speaker 3: bar patrons. The police were eventually called to one one
- 5:05Speaker 3: two Ocean Avenue, where the bodies of six d Fayo
- 5:10Speaker 3: family members lay dead, Butch claiming the murders were a
- 5:17Speaker 3: mob hit. This, however, was not a mob hit. As
- 5:22Speaker 3: police began to gather evidence, but Butch's testimony was no
- 5:26Speaker 3: longer making sense, and when they questioned him about it,
- 5:30Speaker 3: he crumbled and confessed to committing the crimes himself, saying,
- 5:35Speaker 3: once I started, I just couldn't stop. It went so fast,
- 5:41Speaker 3: which is like, holy fuck, Like you just murdered your
- 5:43Speaker 3: entire family, and that's what you have to say.
- 5:45Speaker 2: No, kidd, I just you know, it's it's like fucking
- 5:48Speaker 2: lace potato chips. You bet you can't just have one,
- 5:50Speaker 2: you know, I killed one.
- 5:53Speaker 3: That's just like mortifying to me, Like that's like your siblings.
- 5:58Speaker 2: No kidding, I don't know.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Why, Like for some reason, it seems like worse to
- 6:01Speaker 3: me that it's the siblings, not that it's like I
- 6:04Speaker 3: don't know, like they're little his little siblings, Like yeah,
- 6:08Speaker 3: oh my gosh, I don't know.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Using a thirty five millimeter Marlin rifle in the early
- 6:15Speaker 3: morning's early morning hours, twenty three year old butch murdered
- 6:19Speaker 3: his entire family while they were in their beds.
- 6:22Speaker 4: He entered his.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Sorry, I need to correct myself because I helped you
- 6:26Speaker 2: with that note on the gun. It's not thirty five milimeter.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It's a thirty five caliber.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Oh Caliberpologies, I know, mistake. Yeah, I was like, I
- 6:35Speaker 3: don't know my weapons like whatsoever. I'll be the first
- 6:37Speaker 3: to admit that, and I'm okay with that actually, but
- 6:40Speaker 3: it could be something I learned, I guess. So he
- 6:43Speaker 3: entered his parents' bedroom first, shooting each of them twice.
- 6:47Speaker 3: He then entered his brother's bedroom, shooting them each once
- 6:51Speaker 3: in their beds, and the same in his sister's bedroom.
- 6:55Speaker 3: All the murders took place within fifteen minutes. He then showered,
- 7:00Speaker 3: dressed for work, and dumped his bloody clothing and the
- 7:04Speaker 3: murder weapon in a storm drain on his way to
- 7:07Speaker 3: work at the family car dealership at about six a m. God,
- 7:13Speaker 3: I just for some reason, I'm like, the shower after
- 7:16Speaker 3: you do something so horrific, it just gets me.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I don't know the shower that gets me. It's the
- 7:23Speaker 2: putting on clean clothes and acting like it never happened.
- 7:27Speaker 3: That's what gets well, yeah, like he would be getting
- 7:29Speaker 3: ready in that fucking house, and like all of his
- 7:31Speaker 3: family is just like dead in their bed.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Yeah, like that's messed.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Up, and he's the one who pulled the trigger.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Oh my god. Okay, I'm sorry. Hopefully we can get
- 7:43Speaker 3: through this because it's just like so much Okay. So
- 7:46Speaker 3: oddly enough, all six six victims were found face down
- 7:50Speaker 3: in their beds, as though placed that way with no
- 7:54Speaker 3: signs of struggle, and neighbors did not report hearing any
- 7:58Speaker 3: gunshots being fired, even though the rifle Butch used had
- 8:02Speaker 3: not been fitted with a silencer. Apparently, there was evidence
- 8:07Speaker 3: found at the crime scene that the family also may
- 8:10Speaker 3: have been drugged with the sedative, but no evidence of
- 8:14Speaker 3: sedatives were found in the autopsy, So I feel like
- 8:18Speaker 3: those are like a kind of some weird things that happened.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Definitely. I mean, if there's no sedative in their system,
- 8:23Speaker 2: then I mean you might not find it in one
- 8:26Speaker 2: or two, but to not find it in any of
- 8:28Speaker 2: the family most likely points to the fact that they
- 8:30Speaker 2: were not sedated. So over the time span of fifteen minutes,
- 8:37Speaker 2: they're all shot, and like, I don't know's there's a
- 8:40Speaker 2: lot of weird shit there.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I know, I feel like that's so weird. And then
- 8:45Speaker 3: just the fact too, like they had neighbors and the
- 8:47Speaker 3: neighbors and tear this. Yeah, no one heard it because
- 8:50Speaker 3: that's because we've talked about this before. But that's not
- 8:52Speaker 3: like that wasn't the gun that's super quiet, right.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, twenty two is really a quite quiet one. Yeah,
- 8:58Speaker 2: because it's really small caliber, it's really small amount of
- 9:01Speaker 2: gunpowder with it generally, and it's it doesn't make much
- 9:05Speaker 2: of a noise. But this is this is essentially a
- 9:07Speaker 2: hunting well, this is a hunting rifle. This is big
- 9:10Speaker 2: enough to take down a deer.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Holy, so it would make some noise. Yeah, okay, So
- 9:16Speaker 3: but why like why would why would Butch do this?
- 9:19Speaker 3: So there's a few stories, one being and this one
- 9:23Speaker 3: was brought up in court by Butcher's lawyers, that he
- 9:26Speaker 3: heard voices telling him his family was plotting against him
- 9:30Speaker 3: and that he had to murder them out of self defense.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Another one being that it wasn't all sunshine rainbows in
- 9:37Speaker 3: the Dafeo household. I'm not going to go into a
- 9:40Speaker 3: lot of detail with this, but in short, Butch didn't
- 9:44Speaker 3: have the best relationship with his father, who could have
- 9:47Speaker 3: who could be described as hot tempered with a short
- 9:50Speaker 3: fuse and potentially abusive.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Fuck that guy. Hate abusive people.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I know, like, especially like parents, right like, So this
- 9:58Speaker 3: causing Butch to grow in to somewhat troubled young adult,
- 10:02Speaker 3: with reports of him becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol
- 10:07Speaker 3: and at times lashing out sorry at his family.
- 10:14Speaker 4: So was that intentional?
- 10:15Speaker 2: Well, I'm drinking a nice coffee.
- 10:17Speaker 3: It I was like, you're living your best life where
- 10:19Speaker 3: they're drinking chocolate milk, but it's not chocolate milk.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Looks like chocolate milk, Ben.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Does a bit.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And finally, there were other reports that he could have
- 10:28Speaker 3: been after the insurance money, which is like always a
- 10:32Speaker 3: motive for so many things that happen in this world,
- 10:34Speaker 3: which is fucked up.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Saying money is the root of all evil, right, so yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 2: money rules the world.
- 10:41Speaker 3: In court, which is insanity. Plea was not accepted, and
- 10:46Speaker 3: he was convicted of second degree murder in November nineteen
- 10:51Speaker 3: seventy five and sentenced to six sentences of twenty five
- 10:55Speaker 3: years in life or to life in prison. So he
- 10:58Speaker 3: was like in the tellydated did.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So six twenty five years that's one hundred and fifty
- 11:03Speaker 2: years to life. Folk.
- 11:06Speaker 3: So however, though he did die, and he died in
- 11:10Speaker 3: twenty twenty one, which is interesting, so in March, and
- 11:13Speaker 3: I don't remember even this coming up, like you think
- 11:15Speaker 3: that this would have been like in the news, right,
- 11:16Speaker 3: I know. Shit, So he died in March. So he
- 11:19Speaker 3: died in custody in March twenty twenty one. I couldn't
- 11:24Speaker 3: find out why. It didn't seem like it was released
- 11:26Speaker 3: or anything. So I don't know if it was like
- 11:27Speaker 3: old age he was shy of turning seventy.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I wonder if it was COVID related it.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Could have been, or like maybe he had like cancer
- 11:35Speaker 3: or something, right, and who knows. Okay, so now we
- 11:40Speaker 3: know what happened to Butch. But what happened to the
- 11:44Speaker 3: beautiful large Dutch colonial house located at one one two
- 11:48Speaker 3: Ocean Avenue that now had quite a looming history.
- 11:53Speaker 2: On its own, I don't know to tell what happened?
- 11:55Speaker 2: What did happen to it?
- 11:57Speaker 3: Well, it laid vacant for just over a year until
- 12:00Speaker 3: December eighteenth, nineteen seventy five, when a couple George and
- 12:05Speaker 3: Kathy Lootsus LUTs I'm gonna say their name wrong. Lots
- 12:10Speaker 3: lots lots.
- 12:11Speaker 2: You're gonna say the last name. Lot's wrong, Lots lots
- 12:15Speaker 2: you're gonna say it wrong.
- 12:16Speaker 3: I want to say it wrong. Lots. Okay, So Kathy
- 12:19Speaker 3: and George, with their three children and a dog very important,
- 12:24Speaker 3: would take a chance on it. George and Kathy were
- 12:28Speaker 3: just married earlier that year, so George was the children's stepdad.
- 12:32Speaker 3: They purchased the house for eighty thousand, which was considered
- 12:36Speaker 3: a bargain price. It sounded like it was a beautiful house,
- 12:41Speaker 3: and from photos that I looked up, it also looked
- 12:44Speaker 3: like an absolute beautiful house, Like I don't want to
- 12:45Speaker 3: live there.
- 12:47Speaker 2: It is a gorgeous place.
- 12:48Speaker 3: It's beautiful. Like I just think that I've never seen
- 12:51Speaker 3: a house like it, to be honest.
- 12:52Speaker 2: But also like you look at the house and you
- 12:54Speaker 2: go inside, it looks like a house that someone's gonna
- 12:57Speaker 2: get murdered in.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't look at it any of the photos
- 13:00Speaker 3: of it inside.
- 13:01Speaker 2: It's just it screams that old timey house that you
- 13:04Speaker 2: that someone dies in.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Jeez.
- 13:07Speaker 3: So it had five bedrooms, was built in Dutch colonial style,
- 13:11Speaker 3: like I had mentioned, had this distinctive gambrielle roof, a
- 13:17Speaker 3: swimming pool and a boat house as it was located
- 13:20Speaker 3: on a canal, and included in the sale of the
- 13:23Speaker 3: house was an additional four hundred dollars. Oh sorry, I
- 13:30Speaker 3: read that really wrong. Okay, So additionally four hundred dollars
- 13:33Speaker 3: was included in the price, and it included all of
- 13:36Speaker 3: the Dafayo's furniture, which I feel like, okay to live
- 13:40Speaker 3: in like the house that people were murdered in, I
- 13:43Speaker 3: can like get over that, but to be living in
- 13:45Speaker 3: the house and with.
- 13:46Speaker 2: All their shit, it's like with someone shot on this
- 13:49Speaker 2: bed or this couch.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Or oh my god, I hope it didn't include the
- 13:53Speaker 3: freaking like beds.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Well, that's too much.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I would assume not the mattresses, but you never know.
- 13:58Speaker 4: The frame frames.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I don't think i'd be okay with like I don't
- 14:01Speaker 3: I don't know. Would you be okay okay if you
- 14:05Speaker 3: were literally like looking at a house and they're like, oh,
- 14:07Speaker 3: people got murdered in here, like literally like a whole
- 14:09Speaker 3: family got murdered in here and they were murdered by
- 14:12Speaker 3: like a family member, would you be like okay and
- 14:15Speaker 3: like buy that house?
- 14:17Speaker 4: Ah?
- 14:20Speaker 2: It depends on the house. It depends on the deal
- 14:22Speaker 2: we're getting. But I don't know, but there's a high
- 14:27Speaker 2: chance that i'd be like, fuck this shit, I'm out.
- 14:32Speaker 4: It would be a.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Pretty high chance of that. Okay, well this brings me
- 14:35Speaker 3: to this. Actually this is good timing. They were informed
- 14:39Speaker 3: during the inspection process of the home's history. I almost
- 14:42Speaker 3: think you have to legally inform people of that, right
- 14:46Speaker 3: we like if someone bringly got murdered, Like, I think
- 14:49Speaker 3: you got to tell them. But they discussed it and
- 14:53Speaker 3: they decided it wasn't an issue for them for their
- 14:56Speaker 3: price point. The house was a steal of a deal.
- 14:59Speaker 3: So I mean, like, okay, if say, if you're like,
- 15:02Speaker 3: can only really with your price afford like a two
- 15:05Speaker 3: bedroom kind of thing, but then this house comes available
- 15:09Speaker 3: because it's so a good deal, Like that's a big.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Difference of body front at that.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Like I know, like I could see it. It has
- 15:17Speaker 3: I could see it like.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Okay, sure, maybe people have been murdered in this, but
- 15:22Speaker 2: like it's beautiful. It's beautiful. Maybe maybe we don't even
- 15:25Speaker 2: live in it for long because we don't like the
- 15:26Speaker 2: idea of that. But what if we buy it, Like
- 15:28Speaker 2: do some like renovations, flip the ship, make a shit
- 15:30Speaker 2: ton of money, and then go buy a nicer house
- 15:33Speaker 2: before totally so put up with it for two years
- 15:36Speaker 2: and then we move on.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Yeah, like fuck yeah. So Well, when a friend of
- 15:41Speaker 3: Georgia's learned of the history of the house, they insisted
- 15:45Speaker 3: they needed to have it blessed, which honestly totally fair.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I would probably sage the shit out of that house.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Oh fuck.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I think if I bought it and just sage the
- 15:54Speaker 3: shit out of the house, I'd be like more okay
- 15:56Speaker 3: with it.
- 15:56Speaker 2: To be honest, I would definitely be talking to all
- 15:58Speaker 2: of our witchy friends and being like, who's got the
- 16:00Speaker 2: most amount of stage and who wants to burn all
- 16:03Speaker 2: of it in a house?
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yeah, let's do this. Let's just like all of it
- 16:08Speaker 3: like yeah, numerous times.
- 16:09Speaker 4: I think ye.
- 16:10Speaker 3: So George, I can't even say that name, was a
- 16:14Speaker 3: non practicing mythologist Methodists Methodist, I don't know, and is
- 16:23Speaker 3: that even and had no experience of what this would entail,
- 16:27Speaker 3: where Kathy was a non practicing Catholic and explained the process.
- 16:32Speaker 3: George knew a Catholic priest who agreed to carry out
- 16:36Speaker 3: the house blessing. As he was at the house performing
- 16:39Speaker 3: his blessing, George and Kathy were at the house unpacking
- 16:42Speaker 3: their belongings. It's reported that at one point while performing
- 16:47Speaker 3: his blessing, he heard a masculine voice demand that he
- 16:52Speaker 3: get out.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Fuck could you imagine?
- 16:56Speaker 3: I think I would? I would just be yeah, like
- 16:59Speaker 3: I just want I would. I kind of want to
- 17:01Speaker 3: like experience something like that, but I just don't know
- 17:02Speaker 3: how it handen.
- 17:03Speaker 2: You want to experience that in a sense? Okay, you
- 17:06Speaker 2: ready for it? Ready get out there?
- 17:09Speaker 3: No, you get out Okay.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Piece you do the podcast. I'm gonna gontairs.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that'd be the life. We also have apple Pie,
- 17:19Speaker 3: which is pretty pretty awesome. Fuck yeah Okay. So he
- 17:22Speaker 3: did not mention this to George and Kathy as he
- 17:25Speaker 3: was leaving, which I was like, what the frig though?
- 17:28Speaker 3: About a week later on December twenty fourth, which is
- 17:31Speaker 3: a terrible day to announce something shitty?
- 17:34Speaker 4: What day?
- 17:34Speaker 2: Sorty? December twenty fourth? Yeah, Christmas Eve?
- 17:36Speaker 3: Christmas Eve, like, wait till the twenty sixth.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Merry Christmas. Oh, by the way, here's some shit news. Yeah,
- 17:42Speaker 2: enjoy your Christmas Day, like the fuck God, Merry Christmas
- 17:47Speaker 2: to you, I know, like like they're gonna be able
- 17:49Speaker 2: to enjoy their Christmas Day, right.
- 17:51Speaker 3: The father called George and advised him to stay out
- 17:54Speaker 3: of the second floor room where he had heard this
- 17:57Speaker 3: mysterious voice.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Also, maybe it was Santa Claus in the chimney.
- 18:04Speaker 3: That said get out.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah, He's like, you're not supposed to see me, get
- 18:06Speaker 2: the fuck out of here.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but he was there like a week earlier.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Dude.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Oh well, there goes that theory. Fuck, never mind.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I don't think it was Santa, but that is something
- 18:16Speaker 3: Santa could say, get out, well in a nice way.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Maybe not this mean mascot.
- 18:20Speaker 2: In a nice way.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Get out, get out please, But it doesn't say please,
- 18:25Speaker 4: just get out, get out?
- 18:26Speaker 3: Would you Moon?
- 18:27Speaker 2: Getting out all of a sudden you're in an English accent?
- 18:30Speaker 3: Okay. So, Also, following the priest's visit to the house,
- 18:33Speaker 3: he allegedly developed a high fever and blisters on his hands,
- 18:39Speaker 3: similar to stigmata, which is the appearance oh sorry, which
- 18:44Speaker 3: is the appearance of bodily wounds, scars, and pain in
- 18:49Speaker 3: the locations corresponding to the crucifix crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ.
- 18:55Speaker 2: So I didn't know about that part.
- 18:56Speaker 3: See that's like fucked up. Yeah, so like this sh
- 19:00Speaker 3: like did something to this priest guy? No shit, Okay,
- 19:05Speaker 3: so initially, where am I here? Initially, George and Kathy
- 19:08Speaker 3: experience experienced nothing unusual in their home, but unfortunately that
- 19:13Speaker 3: was short lived, and just twenty eight days after moving in,
- 19:17Speaker 3: the Lutz family fled their house, claiming to have been
- 19:21Speaker 3: terrorized by paranormal activity while living there.
- 19:25Speaker 2: See that's one thing that you're never going to find
- 19:27Speaker 2: me enduring. I will never be terrorized by paranorm activity.
- 19:31Speaker 3: The first time it happened, you're.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Out, Yeah, like fuck this piece the fuck out. Nope,
- 19:37Speaker 2: but that's.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Your hose, this shit not anymore.
- 19:40Speaker 2: That's their house now. Also, if I fucking run the
- 19:46Speaker 2: second I hear a fucking something get knocked off or
- 19:49Speaker 2: a covered door slamming on its own, all I have
- 19:51Speaker 2: to do is be all like now I'm selling the house.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I have no knowledge of being terrorized by fucking ghosts.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I heard there was a covered there's once it was
- 20:00Speaker 2: just a breeze.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Okay, more than one thing would have to happen for
- 20:04Speaker 3: you to go to that extreme, because it just could
- 20:07Speaker 3: be like something weird, right, I think at least like
- 20:11Speaker 3: three things have.
- 20:12Speaker 2: To happen, in my opinion, Yes, three things, because once
- 20:16Speaker 2: shit happens twice, it's a coincidence. Three times is a pattern.
- 20:20Speaker 3: So I think it has to be three, not just
- 20:22Speaker 3: one year out.
- 20:24Speaker 2: As soon as as soon as I have that, I
- 20:27Speaker 2: know it's a pattern. I know it's a ghost. I'm
- 20:29Speaker 2: fucking gone.
- 20:30Speaker 3: As soon as you have it solidified, your your piece, Yes,
- 20:33Speaker 3: where's Ben?
- 20:34Speaker 2: I don't know, standing on the front lawn.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Would you'd be taking me with you or you don't
- 20:37Speaker 3: even care, You're just gone.
- 20:39Speaker 2: I'm taking whatever is on my body. I'll be standing
- 20:42Speaker 2: on the front line of my fucking underwear if I
- 20:43Speaker 2: have to. I don't give a shit.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I mean I could honestly see that happening.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Though, me standing on the front lawn and my underwear.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I could see that happening. But I also just see,
- 20:53Speaker 3: like how like lots of shit, bad shit happens in
- 20:55Speaker 3: houses sometimes or not even like bad shit, but people
- 20:58Speaker 3: just like passing away, right, Like I just think it's
- 21:01Speaker 3: I can see house is being haunted easily.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, So.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Okay, So what happened to George and Kathy so Well.
- 21:10Speaker 3: George was said to wake up at three point fifteen
- 21:14Speaker 3: basically every morning, not every but pretty much almost every morning,
- 21:19Speaker 3: which is around the time that Butch carried out his murders,
- 21:24Speaker 3: and also a time known as witching air and witching
- 21:29Speaker 3: hour is a time of night that is associated with
- 21:31Speaker 3: high paranormal activity.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 4: See, like I almost like.
- 21:36Speaker 3: So get nervous now if I wake up in the
- 21:38Speaker 3: middle of night and I have to look at the
- 21:39Speaker 3: fucking clock to see what time it is. If it's
- 21:41Speaker 3: like in three, I'm.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Like, no, if it's three o'clock when I wake up
- 21:46Speaker 2: in the morning, middle night or whatever. If I see
- 21:48Speaker 2: it's three o'clock, immediately my eyes get shut. That's it.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I just nope, I don't care. If I'm still wide awake,
- 21:55Speaker 2: my eyes get closed.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Ah Okay. Also, the Lutz family claimed
- 22:02Speaker 3: to have smelled strange odors, see green oozing slime or
- 22:08Speaker 3: green slime oozing out of the walls and keyholes, and
- 22:11Speaker 3: experience cold spots in certain areas of the house. I'm
- 22:15Speaker 3: freaking freezing right now, So I'm like the cold spots whatever,
- 22:18Speaker 3: that just happens. Some doors would begin opening and closing
- 22:22Speaker 3: on their own. A knife was known to be knocked
- 22:26Speaker 3: down in the kitchen onto the floor. George at one
- 22:29Speaker 3: point entered her room and found it swarming with flies
- 22:34Speaker 3: that would continue to torment the family. See that's disgusting,
- 22:37Speaker 3: that is. And of course, their youngest Jody or sorry,
- 22:41Speaker 3: their youngest child would suddenly make friends with imaginary friend
- 22:46Speaker 3: named Jody, which I don't know kids have imaginary friends,
- 22:51Speaker 3: but it's just like, that's a lot of things.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess, and we're not even done.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I get suspicious as soon as a kid not has
- 22:58Speaker 2: an imaginary friend, but as soon as the kid is
- 23:00Speaker 2: interacting with an imaginary friend, because like, oh you have
- 23:03Speaker 2: an imaginary friend, yeah, yeah, cool, Sure, as soon as
- 23:05Speaker 2: there's something where it's like, oh yeah, my friend is
- 23:08Speaker 2: over here playing with me.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Fucking Nope, Okay, I don't know that would bother me yet,
- 23:14Speaker 3: because it's just like their imagination. They're exploring things, and
- 23:16Speaker 3: they're just like wanting a little friend with them all
- 23:18Speaker 3: the time. I mean, but honestly, I could see being
- 23:22Speaker 3: ghosts often, yeah, because kids are more susceptible to that too,
- 23:25Speaker 3: right activity So okay, So the most messed up piece
- 23:31Speaker 3: of all. As if this shit hasn't been bad enough yet,
- 23:35Speaker 3: there are claims of a pig like creature with red
- 23:38Speaker 3: eyes staring down at George and his son Daniel from
- 23:42Speaker 3: a window.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's Kate.
- 23:46Speaker 3: That would only have to happen once. There would have
- 23:49Speaker 3: to be no other two paranormal things happening. That happened.
- 23:51Speaker 4: I'm out.
- 23:52Speaker 2: See If I came home and I'm standing the driveway
- 23:54Speaker 2: and I look up and I see a fucking pig
- 23:56Speaker 2: like creature standing in the fucking windows staring down at me,
- 23:59Speaker 2: my first thought would be, fuck, you picked up an
- 24:01Speaker 2: animal on the road. What do we have for a pet? Now?
- 24:04Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, like I've even ever done that.
- 24:06Speaker 2: You've talked about it every time you see an animals.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Because most of our animals have been purchased by you.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It's my turn.
- 24:12Speaker 4: I want to buy something, Yeah, but I purchased them
- 24:14Speaker 4: for you.
- 24:15Speaker 2: What's the difference.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, where are we here? Look at us? Go? Okay. Finally,
- 24:20Speaker 3: George is said to have woken up to his wife
- 24:23Speaker 3: Kathy Leffe, hating off their bed. Okay, now that is
- 24:28Speaker 3: freaking terrifying. There's also been things I didn't even have
- 24:31Speaker 3: it written down where like he would look at her
- 24:32Speaker 3: and she would like just age kind of too while
- 24:34Speaker 3: she was in bed, Like all of a sudden, you're
- 24:37Speaker 3: laying next to your thirty year old wife, but then
- 24:39Speaker 3: she looks like she's eighty years old.
- 24:41Speaker 2: How do you put up with this sort of stuff like.
- 24:44Speaker 3: For that for twenty eight days?
- 24:46Speaker 2: Well it wasn't twenty isn't that long? Yeah, but how
- 24:49Speaker 2: do you put up with it for more than a day?
- 24:52Speaker 3: You see progresses usually, right.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but progressing from Okay, if you have green ooze
- 24:57Speaker 2: leaking from your fucking walls, you're like, let's fucking see
- 25:01Speaker 2: if it stops, and hope it's gone. In the morning,
- 25:03Speaker 2: you see a pig like demon creature in your fucking window. Yeah,
- 25:07Speaker 2: I'll just sleep this off too. Maybe it'll be gone tomorrow.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Your wife is levitating besides you in aged fifty years.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Maybe she just has a headache.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Like what Yeah, that it is a lot because their sons,
- 25:20Speaker 3: Daniel and Christopher apparently have had also events where they
- 25:23Speaker 3: were levitating in their bed like they're your children, Like
- 25:26Speaker 3: that's terrifying, kids.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Stop levitating in your beds like.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Fue in the morning. So eventually after twenty eight days
- 25:35Speaker 3: of torment, the family had enough and fled the house.
- 25:40Speaker 3: There you go, twenty eight days. I feel like that's
- 25:42Speaker 3: like a strong family.
- 25:43Speaker 2: No shit.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Some research would go on to tell about the hell
- 25:48Speaker 3: the house being built on ancient enclosure of the sick,
- 25:53Speaker 3: mad and dying operated by the Shinneycock Indian Nation. However,
- 26:00Speaker 3: no such history has ever been proven or discovered by
- 26:04Speaker 3: historians and the shineycowk I hope I'm saying that right, Yeah,
- 26:09Speaker 3: I think so. Indian Nation apparently never even resided in
- 26:13Speaker 3: the area, so I don't know. That was one little theory.
- 26:17Speaker 4: I guess.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Well, there's lots of stories that I've heard of being
- 26:20Speaker 2: like buried on the or built burial ground stuff so.
- 26:23Speaker 3: That it could be caused by that not even necessary
- 26:26Speaker 3: like the murders.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah, right, So the fact that it's actually been like
- 26:29Speaker 2: debunked by historians is actually quite a big deal.
- 26:32Speaker 3: There were some claims of hoof prints in the snow
- 26:38Speaker 3: on January.
- 26:39Speaker 2: First, Well, there's your pig creature.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Nineteen seventy six, which is most likely from that pig
- 26:44Speaker 3: like creature that they claim they have seen, but it
- 26:47Speaker 3: was rejected by research searchers Mike Moran and Peter Jordan,
- 26:53Speaker 3: who investigate their investigation, revealed that there had actually been
- 27:01Speaker 3: no snowfall that night.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Oh snap, But I mean, like, I'm.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Sorry, I don't even take that because the amount of
- 27:08Speaker 3: times where the Weather network is fucking wrong, that's true.
- 27:12Speaker 3: I don't even like it's like I feel like it's
- 27:14Speaker 3: one job that you can be wrong like so much
- 27:18Speaker 3: and still keep your job.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think it's expected that you're going to
- 27:22Speaker 2: be wrong.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Oh well, especially here, Like it's lately, I'm doing a
- 27:26Speaker 3: photo shoot. Nine times out of ten, I look at
- 27:29Speaker 3: the weather, but then that the photo shoot is doing
- 27:30Speaker 3: something completely different.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's sunny today, there's three inches of snow
- 27:35Speaker 2: out there.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Maybe where they were at it said there was no snow,
- 27:38Speaker 3: but then at this people's house there was snow.
- 27:40Speaker 2: So yeah, that's true.
- 27:42Speaker 3: So the neighbor though, So the neighbors of the LUTs
- 27:46Speaker 3: has never reported anything unusual during the time that they
- 27:50Speaker 3: were living there. So like neighbors not seeing anything, I mean, yeah.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Not even someone running out of the house screaming, standing
- 27:56Speaker 2: in the front lawn in their underwear.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Yeah, they didn't see anything weird. Apparently, George however, maintained
- 28:03Speaker 3: that events written in the published book about their encounters
- 28:06Speaker 3: were mostly true. In June nineteen seventy nine, George and
- 28:10Speaker 3: Kathy took a polygraph test relating to their experience at
- 28:15Speaker 3: the house. The polygraph tests were performed by two I
- 28:19Speaker 3: don't know, Chris googas I think and Michael Rice, who
- 28:24Speaker 3: at the time, though this is important, were reportedly among
- 28:27Speaker 3: the top five polygraph experts in America. The results in
- 28:31Speaker 3: their opinion that they indicate they were not lying.
- 28:35Speaker 2: See that's some strong evidence. However, polygraphs are like not
- 28:39Speaker 2: the most reliable source of material.
- 28:42Speaker 3: But then for like the both of them to have
- 28:45Speaker 3: comeback that they weren't lying and these people like actually
- 28:48Speaker 3: being like the top of their job, Yeah, I feel
- 28:52Speaker 3: like something might have come of that if they were
- 28:54Speaker 3: like just full out lying, you know.
- 28:56Speaker 2: That's true. I don't know.
- 28:59Speaker 3: It's a tough one' Do they even use those nowadays?
- 29:02Speaker 2: I think they do, but I don't even know if they're.
- 29:04Speaker 4: They like standing court, Yeah, I don't think so.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yeah. So now, clearly there are many people who question
- 29:11Speaker 3: the Validista Valadi, I.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Can't even talk v.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Of the lots story and events surrounding the Ammineville House.
- 29:21Speaker 3: A main theory of what really happened is that the
- 29:25Speaker 3: lots Is were in financial trouble and brewed the whole
- 29:28Speaker 3: story up for money to sell to the public.
- 29:31Speaker 4: Then sons of bitches, you never know the lots Is.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Former lawyer William Webber, who fell out with them over
- 29:39Speaker 3: a money issue, came out in nineteen seventy nine claiming
- 29:43Speaker 3: the three of them came up with the whole horror
- 29:46Speaker 3: store over many bottles of wine. I mean, that's some
- 29:50Speaker 3: shit you could actually come up with over a few bottles. One.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I've come up with some dumber stuff, that's for sure.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess. Okay, So there's son. Daniel, however, claims
- 30:02Speaker 3: the house ruined his life and that he continues to
- 30:05Speaker 3: have nightmares to this day, but he also claims it
- 30:09Speaker 3: was George who invited the mysterious and dangerous forces into
- 30:14Speaker 3: their lives due his to his fascination and obsession with
- 30:19Speaker 3: the occult. The occult yet, so that's something that I
- 30:23Speaker 3: thought was super interesting.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Yeah, even his son is just like it was real,
- 30:27Speaker 2: But it was it's to blame to Joe.
- 30:29Speaker 3: It wasn't the house.
- 30:30Speaker 2: It was George Yeah, George, open those fucking doors. Kids.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Don't play with fucking demons and shit.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Yeah, don't do it.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Yeah, put the Uigi boards away, saved your fucking house.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Don't invite shit in.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:42Speaker 3: I do think that you can actually attract these things.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I really do think that. So these claims
- 30:48Speaker 3: and events all peer all appeared in j and since
- 30:53Speaker 3: nineteen seventy seven book The Aminebelle Whore The What Amityville?
- 30:59Speaker 2: There you Go?
- 31:00Speaker 3: I talked to I like mushed my words together sometimes.
- 31:04Speaker 3: So this also inspired the nineteen seventy nine movie of
- 31:07Speaker 3: the same title, which inspired many many more movies since then.
- 31:13Speaker 3: The story and the house has become a cult classic
- 31:17Speaker 3: among horror fans.
- 31:19Speaker 4: It has, it really has.
- 31:21Speaker 3: So. The Ameneville House, also known as one one two
- 31:25Speaker 3: Ocean Avenue, still exists, but has undergone some renovations making
- 31:30Speaker 3: it look quite a bit different and the house someone
- 31:33Speaker 3: who was living in the house at one point. They
- 31:35Speaker 3: actually change the house number to one oh eight Ocean
- 31:39Speaker 3: Avenue in order to discourage sightseers from visiting. None of
- 31:45Speaker 3: the new owners, and there has been a few, have
- 31:47Speaker 3: reported any paranormal activity, but rather contending with horror movie
- 31:53Speaker 3: than fanatics walking and driving by the house to get
- 31:57Speaker 3: a glimpse of the famous at Amneville House.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I could see that.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I could drive so much, and honestly, I would even
- 32:04Speaker 3: not want to drive by. I would feel bad, like
- 32:07Speaker 3: now reading that, right.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Yeah, well I would definitely want to drive by. I'm
- 32:10Speaker 2: not too I would drive by still knowing reading that,
- 32:14Speaker 2: but I would not like super slow down. I'd be
- 32:16Speaker 2: like O could drive by real quick. Shit, I didn't
- 32:18Speaker 2: get a picture drive by again, Like, you know, I
- 32:20Speaker 2: honestly think i'd.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Like park a block or so away and then just
- 32:23Speaker 3: like breaking like I was going through a FIRS stroll.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Maybe then it's.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Just like you're out in the neighborhood taking a walk.
- 32:28Speaker 3: I mean they're gonna freaking now.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but be casual about it, you know, yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Don't because they would even say people would like knock
- 32:34Speaker 3: on their door like in all hours of night, Like
- 32:37Speaker 3: that's being an asshole, no shit, Like people are living
- 32:40Speaker 3: there now, like just leave them alone, go look.
- 32:42Speaker 4: If you need to.
- 32:43Speaker 2: But could you imagine living there in the Amityville House
- 32:47Speaker 2: actually buying it in this day and age and being
- 32:48Speaker 2: like this is the fucking Amityville house.
- 32:51Speaker 3: I know it'd be really cool. I think it's like
- 32:52Speaker 3: worth a lot more now, But then also I don't.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I wouldn't want to live there just because of the
- 32:57Speaker 3: people driving by and shit, I would buy so much.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Have you have I showed you the Amityville ghost photo.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Did you come across it in your research?
- 33:06Speaker 3: I didn't, actually.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Really no, because it's like one of the most prolific
- 33:10Speaker 2: ghost photos like out there to date for any sort
- 33:14Speaker 2: of like ghost hunter paranormal activity stuff.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Oh okay, I was looking at the house, but that's
- 33:20Speaker 3: it there. Oh my gosh. Okay, actually I have seen that.
- 33:22Speaker 3: That is terrifying. A shit.
- 33:23Speaker 2: If you haven't seen it, look it up, the Amityville
- 33:26Speaker 2: ghost photo. It's of maybe we'll post it on Instagram.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Or yeah, I could even put it in the story
- 33:30Speaker 3: if I don't.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Post it on the need So a ghost hunter was
- 33:34Speaker 2: in the house. It set a bunch of cameras and stuff,
- 33:36Speaker 2: and supposedly there was no one in the house at
- 33:38Speaker 2: the time this photo was taken, and there is a
