- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven ten R. Hey, it's gonna be a summer
- 0:16Speaker 1: day to day, bright sunshine, eighty five degrees. It's gonna
- 0:20Speaker 1: beautiful all week. We got a lot to get to.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I was the Camp David cabinet meeting cancel. We'll get
- 0:26Speaker 1: to that. We'll get to President Trump's physical We'll get
- 0:28Speaker 1: to the don Junior wedding. Joe Biden is suing the
- 0:31Speaker 1: Trump administration. We'll get to that. We'll get to crazy
- 0:34Speaker 1: Mom Donnie and all of his latest schemes. We'll get
- 0:37Speaker 1: to Colbert's latest venture that just got announced, and a
- 0:43Speaker 1: whole lot more coming up today. So big cabinet meeting today,
- 0:49Speaker 1: very big important cabinet meeting today. I think this is
- 0:51Speaker 1: the twenty second cabinet meeting, and that's in two years.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Joe Biden had I think one and a half in
- 0:58Speaker 1: four years, which he basically was just sat there like
- 1:02Speaker 1: a vegetable. Twenty two cabinet meetings. But this one's important,
- 1:07Speaker 1: This is a big one. It was to be held
- 1:10Speaker 1: at Camp David. Now that's very unusual, very unusual. You know,
- 1:14Speaker 1: it's a logistical headache to get everybody to Camp David.
- 1:21Speaker 1: President Trump hates Camp David. They didn't hate it. It's
- 1:23Speaker 1: not for him. It's very beautiful. It's a beautiful, very
- 1:27Speaker 1: elegant log cabin but as you can imagine, Donald Trump
- 1:32Speaker 1: not the log cabin type. It's not his kind of setting.
- 1:35Speaker 1: But the last time they did a cabinet meeting there
- 1:40Speaker 1: was last year. Now, why was that cabinet meeting at
- 1:42Speaker 1: Camp David. Well, it was also very important and very
- 1:47Speaker 1: top secret about Iran. It was at that cabinet meeting
- 1:52Speaker 1: that they decided on the mission to blow up Iran's
- 1:56Speaker 1: nuclear reactors. You remember, that was quite a mission last year,
- 2:01Speaker 1: kept totally secret. All of a sudden it happened. It
- 2:04Speaker 1: was decided at that cabinet meeting, and then happened a
- 2:08Speaker 1: day or two later. So this was this cabinet meeting
- 2:13Speaker 1: probably entails something like that, some strong military something in Iran. Now,
- 2:19Speaker 1: why move it to Camp David. Surely the cabinet room
- 2:24Speaker 1: as a total privacy and security. Why can't you do
- 2:27Speaker 1: it in there? Well it does. It's very secure and
- 2:30Speaker 1: it's very private in the Cabinet room in the White House. However,
- 2:34Speaker 1: when the meeting's over, everybody has to leave and then
- 2:37Speaker 1: walk through the White House, which is filled with press,
- 2:40Speaker 1: filled with reporters, filled with all kinds of people, and
- 2:44Speaker 1: that's where a leak can happen. So that's the reason,
- 2:47Speaker 1: if it's really top secret, you move it to Camp
- 2:49Speaker 1: David because when they come out of there, they generally
- 2:52Speaker 1: go back to their office without there's no reporters at
- 2:55Speaker 1: Camp David, nothing, total privacy. So the cabinet member leaves,
- 3:00Speaker 1: goes right back to his office and has never seen
- 3:02Speaker 1: a reporter the whole way. So that's the reason you
- 3:05Speaker 1: move it to Camp David. Now, why was it canceled
- 3:07Speaker 1: today and switch back to the White House. Well, they
- 3:10Speaker 1: didn't want to go back to the White House. But
- 3:12Speaker 1: the problem is the weather in Washington is brutal today,
- 3:16Speaker 1: really really bad rain and storms all day to day.
- 3:20Speaker 1: So what that meant was you couldn't get to Camp
- 3:22Speaker 1: David by helicopter. The visibility, the low ceiling, impossible to
- 3:26Speaker 1: go with helicopters, and that made it really, really really
- 3:30Speaker 1: tough to get everybody there. It would have had to
- 3:32Speaker 1: been motorcades. And President always goes to Camp David by
- 3:37Speaker 1: helicopter if he has to do a motor caid. They've
- 3:39Speaker 1: had to do it in the past, and the problem
- 3:41Speaker 1: with these motorcades it's a nightmare. And also you got
- 3:45Speaker 1: to shut down freeways and all kinds of roads. It
- 3:47Speaker 1: totally screws up Washington. So without being able to get
- 3:51Speaker 1: everybody there and back by helicopter, they decided against Camp David.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's a beautiful place, Camp David, but again it's not
- 3:59Speaker 1: a Donald Trump kind of place. It's rustic, it's a cabin,
- 4:03Speaker 1: it's in the woods. It was very important to a
- 4:06Speaker 1: lot of presidents because it's the only place a president
- 4:09Speaker 1: can have real total privacy. There's no Secret Service at
- 4:13Speaker 1: Camp David. Don't need him there. It's a military base.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Actually it's a military base. It's totally surrounded by marines.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Nobody can get it in or out, so once the
- 4:25Speaker 1: president's in there, the Secret Service can to leave them alone.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Jimmy Carter was going to close down Camp David. He
- 4:31Speaker 1: thought it was an unnecessary expense. He was trying to
- 4:34Speaker 1: cut down government, and he told Nixon, the outgoing president,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and Nixon said to him, don't get rid of Camp David.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You're going to really need it if you need to
- 4:47Speaker 1: be totally alone. If you need to walk all by
- 4:50Speaker 1: yourself without anybody following you, without a detail behind you,
- 4:54Speaker 1: if you want to be totally alone, the only place
- 4:57Speaker 1: you'll ever be able to do that is Camp David,
- 4:59Speaker 1: don't give it up. It's going to be very important
- 5:01Speaker 1: to you. And he was right. Carter used it a lot.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You know, when you need to just go out in
- 5:05Speaker 1: the woods all by yourself, nobody within thousands of feet
- 5:08Speaker 1: of you, and just walk by yourself, it's important. But again,
- 5:13Speaker 1: if you're Donald Trump, that's the last thing you want.
- 5:15Speaker 1: You always want forty people talking to you at all times.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's not his kind of place. So Cabinet meeting will
- 5:22Speaker 1: be today. This will be interesting. It most likely. If
- 5:24Speaker 1: I had a guess, the Iran negotiations are making very
- 5:29Speaker 1: slow progress and could be stalled at any point, so
- 5:33Speaker 1: I would guess that the next if things don't go well,
- 5:36Speaker 1: it'll be the next and final phase of the military operation,
- 5:39Speaker 1: which will be absolutely devastating and brutal and involve some
- 5:45Speaker 1: real serious things. I mean, just really totally once and
- 5:49Speaker 1: for all, ending the Ranian regime. So whatever that is,
- 5:52Speaker 1: however serious it is, needs to be discussed with the
- 5:55Speaker 1: whole cabinet, and that's what he did with the that
- 6:01Speaker 1: effort to take out the nuclear reactors. So we'll see
- 6:04Speaker 1: the other news. President Trump had his physical yesterday. The
- 6:08Speaker 1: results that he released are that he is the single
- 6:12Speaker 1: most fit human being ever in the history of the world.
- 6:18Speaker 1: In fact, he said the doctors almost fainted because they've
- 6:22Speaker 1: never seen a physical specimen like his. Well that's his evaluation.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Let's wait till the doctors put out there's actually they
- 6:32Speaker 1: say everything went fine. The actual details, and you could
- 6:36Speaker 1: say they're fudging is no. No, they put out the actual
- 6:39Speaker 1: lab reports, numbers, everything that's not out yet, it'll be
- 6:42Speaker 1: out in a day or two, and at some point
- 6:43Speaker 1: this week they'll release the actual numbers. It's a three
- 6:46Speaker 1: hour physical that he gets. It's actually full physical and
- 6:49Speaker 1: a full dental exam. And the presidents do it once
- 6:52Speaker 1: a year, although President Trump's been doing it once a month,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I mean once every six months, twice a year, which
- 6:59Speaker 1: is a good idea. But he seems fine. I mean,
- 7:02Speaker 1: there's no problem at all. He does have that the
- 7:05Speaker 1: bruising all over the hands, but they say that's from
- 7:07Speaker 1: the aspirin. A lot of people take a baby aspirin
- 7:10Speaker 1: every day. It things your blood a little, which you
- 7:14Speaker 1: know helps your heart. Your blood is thinner, you don't
- 7:16Speaker 1: have to worry about blockage. So a lot of people
- 7:18Speaker 1: take a little baby aspirin every day. It's eighty one milligrams.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But you know, Donald Trump, whatever people do, he's got
- 7:25Speaker 1: to do it bigger. So he takes a full aspen
- 7:28Speaker 1: every day, a three hundred and twenty five milligram aspen.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It's too much aspirin. You're not supposed to take that
- 7:32Speaker 1: every day, but he said, if it's the idea is
- 7:34Speaker 1: thin blood, I want the thinnest blood ever. So because
- 7:37Speaker 1: it's too much aspirin every day, your hand can get
- 7:40Speaker 1: bruising and all that sort of stuff. Swelling in his ankles.
- 7:44Speaker 1: People have noticed that, but that comes with age. That's
- 7:46Speaker 1: just an old age thing. It's not that serious. He
- 7:50Speaker 1: wore compression socks to fix it, but he said they're
- 7:54Speaker 1: totally uncomfortable. What are compression socks. I guess they compress.
- 7:57Speaker 1: They kind of squeeze you down there. He said, it
- 8:00Speaker 1: just felt terrible. He couldn't stand them, so they stopped
- 8:03Speaker 1: stopped using. You'll notice he got slightly bigger shoes. He
- 8:06Speaker 1: got wider, bigger shoes. So and the falling asleep, you know,
- 8:10Speaker 1: the left likes to use that all the time. He's
- 8:11Speaker 1: falling asleep. He doses right in the middle of meat.
- 8:14Speaker 1: That's absolutely nothing to worry about. I know a lot
- 8:17Speaker 1: of billionaires. They all fall asleep at the table, all
- 8:21Speaker 1: of them. You know why. They never sleep at night.
- 8:24Speaker 1: They're up all night working, well everybody else sleeping for
- 8:28Speaker 1: seven or eight hours. They sleep for an hour. They
- 8:31Speaker 1: get up there on the phone, they're on the computer.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You can text a billionaire three in the morning. You'll
- 8:34Speaker 1: get a response in a minute. I mean, they're all
- 8:37Speaker 1: they're up all night long, and the result of that
- 8:39Speaker 1: is they doze up during the day here and there.
- 8:42Speaker 1: It's no big deal. It's pretty pretty common. So Hey,
- 8:46Speaker 1: the other thing with the president and big victories. Yesterday,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know John Cornyn, who's a major figure in Congress,
- 8:55Speaker 1: he wanted him out. He wanted Cornyn has been turning
- 8:58Speaker 1: against Trump all the time. So Trump went down there
- 9:02Speaker 1: endorsed the opponent, Ken Paxton, who got He won, but
- 9:06Speaker 1: there was a runoff yesterday. In the Texas runoff, Paxton
- 9:10Speaker 1: slaughtered Cornan, showing the power of a Trump endorsement, at
- 9:14Speaker 1: least with Republicans. Paxton big victory.
- 9:16Speaker 2: When everyone in Washington told him to abandon me and
- 9:19Speaker 2: abandon the people of Texas, he didn't listen. Instead, he
- 9:23Speaker 2: gave his complete and total endorsement. President Trump is the
- 9:27Speaker 2: leader of our party, and his endorsement in this is
- 9:30Speaker 2: the most powerful force in politics.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Well so now some will argue, well, that's not good.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Cornyn was the safer choice to win in the general.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Paxton's got you, previous comments, previous things in his love life,
- 9:44Speaker 1: his marriage, whatever. Well, but they'll be up against the
- 9:47Speaker 1: tall Rico who is just totally insane. Tall Rico a
- 9:51Speaker 1: left wing kook who thinks there's a.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes.
- 9:59Speaker 1: In fact, there are sick.
- 10:00Speaker 3: God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between.
- 10:06Speaker 4: God is non binary. I have met so many Hindus, Buddhists,
- 10:12Speaker 4: seekh Jews, Muslims, Atheist Agnostics who are more christ Like
- 10:17Speaker 4: than some of the Christians I serve with.
- 10:18Speaker 1: In the Texas legislature, our southern border should be like
- 10:21Speaker 1: our front porch.
- 10:23Speaker 4: There should be a giant welcome mat out front and
- 10:26Speaker 4: a lock on the door.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Ye okay, so this guy should be pretty easy to beat.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Shouldn't be hard Corning. Now here's the problem. Corning is
- 10:35Speaker 1: a major figure in the Senate. He got wiped out
- 10:38Speaker 1: as Trump endorsed the opponent, completely wiped him out. But
- 10:41Speaker 1: he still serves till January. That's a long time. That's
- 10:46Speaker 1: seven months. You still got this guy around. He could
- 10:48Speaker 1: really oppose Trump vote against him. So Trump put out
- 10:50Speaker 1: a very complimentary, gracious tweet, complimenting, here's Corning last night.
- 10:55Speaker 5: I've spent most of my time in the Senate building
- 11:00Speaker 5: the Republican Party in Texas, and he's in the US Senate,
- 11:04Speaker 5: and I've always supported the Republican ticket, and I intend
- 11:08Speaker 5: to do so again in this general election.
- 11:11Speaker 1: All right. Not the most exciting guy in the world
- 11:13Speaker 1: is you can hear. Now here's the problem. In Texas.
- 11:15Speaker 1: You need a ton of money to run there. You know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: you got to spend a fortune when you want to advertise,
- 11:22Speaker 1: you got it. You do it in the major media markets.
- 11:24Speaker 1: You know, if you're running in Rhode Island, pretty easy.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You just buy a million ads in Providence, that's the
- 11:30Speaker 1: big media capital. Pretty simple, and you're done. Now if
- 11:33Speaker 1: you're running in Texas, there's like twenty two major media markets,
- 11:36Speaker 1: so you got a blanket. Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio.
- 11:40Speaker 1: All you have like twenty markets you got to pay
- 11:42Speaker 1: for so it costs a fortune. That's why their elections
- 11:46Speaker 1: always turn out to be the biggest, highest spending elections anywhere.
- 11:51Speaker 1: So but Patching right now it only has about three million.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But the money will come flowing in, flowing in the
- 11:58Speaker 1: Texas Old Bush Republican country club guid they're not going
- 12:01Speaker 1: to be too hot hot on Packston. But the money
- 12:03Speaker 1: he'll come in from Trump administration, I'll make sure he
- 12:06Speaker 1: gets it. So A Don Junior had the big wedding.
- 12:11Speaker 1: He married Bettina Anderson, who's not the most beloved woman
- 12:16Speaker 1: in Palm Beach's. They call her a Palm Beach socialite,
- 12:20Speaker 1: but if you go down a Palm Beach most people
- 12:21Speaker 1: can't stand her. So they had the way. I don't
- 12:25Speaker 1: know why he married her, but he's marrying her, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: well he did marry her over the weekend. He's forty eight,
- 12:32Speaker 1: she's thirty nine. They got married on this very exclusive island,
- 12:37Speaker 1: Exuma Cays, a thirty eight acre ultra private Island. It's
- 12:44Speaker 1: right off NASA. It's seventy miles from NASA. It's not
- 12:51Speaker 1: that exciting. I mean I looked at all the pictures.
- 12:52Speaker 1: It look in the middle of nowhere, all by yourself.
- 12:54Speaker 1: It looks like Killigan's Island with nicer houses. It has
- 12:58Speaker 1: been It is kind of picturesque. It's been used for
- 13:00Speaker 1: movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Casino Royale, Daniel Craig.
- 13:05Speaker 1: They filmed some scenes there. It was actually developed by
- 13:08Speaker 1: friends of Anderson, Big Palm Beach friends. So they got married.
- 13:12Speaker 1: There was only forty people and it was really just
- 13:14Speaker 1: the family. It was Don Junior's brother, sister, all their
- 13:21Speaker 1: kids right there. That's like forty people. Tiffany was there.
- 13:26Speaker 1: You'll notice there was no Donald Trump there. There was
- 13:28Speaker 1: no Milania there. I don't think they're too thrilled about
- 13:30Speaker 1: this marriage. It was not their first choice for a
- 13:33Speaker 1: wife for him. I think that's the reason they weren't there.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Now they'll say, well, due to the Warren Iran and well,
- 13:41Speaker 1: he could have easily just moved it up a few
- 13:44Speaker 1: weeks or ahead a few weeks. That wouldn't have been hard. Originally,
- 13:48Speaker 1: they wanted to get married in the White House. Again.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I don't think Donald Trump's too thrilled about Bettina. Anderson
- 13:53Speaker 1: did not want to give her that sort of an honor. So, hey,
- 13:58Speaker 1: we'll get to Stephen Gobert coming up. He's launched his
- 14:00Speaker 1: YouTube channel. You can make a lot of money on YouTube.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You can be very big on YouTube, and in many
- 14:08Speaker 1: ways it's bigger than network television. But usually on YouTube
- 14:13Speaker 1: it's kind of a smaller operation. You might find out
- 14:16Speaker 1: what Colbert is like without literally twenty two writers writing
- 14:19Speaker 1: for him. He had twenty two writers on that monologue
- 14:24Speaker 1: was twenty two writers, you know the Gutveld. There's like
- 14:31Speaker 1: one writer and he's got triple the ratings of Colbert. Well,
- 14:36Speaker 1: so we'll see what happens on this YouTube channel.
- 14:38Speaker 5: Now.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Originally CBS was trying to block it, fight it, copyright infringement,
- 14:43Speaker 1: disinfringe of that. So they started doing that the first day,
- 14:46Speaker 1: which was I think Saturday, and then the internet got
- 14:50Speaker 1: crazy at CBS calling for boycott. So CBS dropped the
- 14:53Speaker 1: copyright in front. Let him do whatever he wants. Who's
- 14:56Speaker 1: going to pay attention. Hey, we got a lot to
- 14:58Speaker 1: get to coming up. We'll get to the governor's race.
- 15:01Speaker 1: We'll get the crazy mom Donnie his latest scheme. If
- 15:05Speaker 1: a landlord is bad, they'll seize the building. The government
- 15:08Speaker 1: will seize the building. We'll go over this scheme. It
- 15:11Speaker 1: sounds very noble. If there's a real neglected building slum
- 15:15Speaker 1: with they'll take the building away. Sounds kind of noble.
- 15:18Speaker 1: They're like they're coming to the rescue. This is actually
- 15:21Speaker 1: how communism starts, the government seizing private property. Yeah, so
- 15:27Speaker 1: we'll get to that. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight
- 15:29Speaker 1: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number
- 15:33Speaker 1: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Now more
- 15:38Speaker 1: Marximo on seven tenor heay, So let's take some calls.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the
- 15:50Speaker 1: number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Let's
- 15:54Speaker 1: go to Maddie and the Bronx. Maddie, how you doing?
- 15:58Speaker 6: I'm fined? How are you?
- 15:59Speaker 1: Let me check? Not bad?
- 16:02Speaker 4: Good? Good? Mark.
- 16:04Speaker 6: I'm curious about the protests that went on at Gracie
- 16:10Speaker 6: Mansion last night. I wanted to know what the turnout was,
- 16:14Speaker 6: but I also want to know why I can't find
- 16:17Speaker 6: out about it at all. Isn't it considered newsworthy.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Oh you can find it. It's in the New York
- 16:22Speaker 1: Post today.
- 16:24Speaker 6: Oh well, I'm talking about on radio stations. I just
- 16:27Speaker 6: got up a little while ago. I mean, I haven't.
- 16:29Speaker 1: It's our kind of woman gets up at ten o'clock
- 16:31Speaker 1: in the morning. Perfect.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Oh no, it wasn't ten. It was earlier than that.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Okay, nine anyway. Thanks. It was about four hundred people
- 16:39Speaker 1: turned out. They look like very peaceful. Neither were Israeli flags.
- 16:43Speaker 1: There was a get rid of Mom Donnie's signs, but
- 16:45Speaker 1: it was peaceful, it was orderly, and it was very nice.
- 16:48Speaker 1: It was a protest against Mom Donnie for his anti Semitism,
- 16:51Speaker 1: anti Israel nonsense, spreading all that hate and lies and stuff.
- 16:56Speaker 6: And any counter protest.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Yeah, believe it or not, they had to organize a
- 17:01Speaker 1: we love Mom Donnie counter protest. It was across the street.
- 17:05Speaker 1: It was about twelve people, mostly staff, I think. Thanks
- 17:09Speaker 1: for calling. Yeah, it was not a big not a
- 17:13Speaker 1: big protest, but it got the point across. You're right,
- 17:16Speaker 1: it should get more coverage, should be more media there.
- 17:20Speaker 1: But you can if you go in the New York
- 17:22Speaker 1: Post artic you'll see they have pictures of the protesters
- 17:24Speaker 1: there so, but they were orderly and they were nice people.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Let's go to Rob in Long Island. Rob. How you doing, Hey, Mark,
- 17:32Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 17:34Speaker 4: So?
- 17:34Speaker 3: Educate me a little bit here. So isn't New York
- 17:37Speaker 3: City Housing Authority like the or landlord in New York City?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Yes?
- 17:43Speaker 3: So if Madami is going to be, you know, taking
- 17:46Speaker 3: assuming these properties, how is that going to work?
- 17:48Speaker 1: It's not, it's not. But that's why it's Mom, Donnie,
- 17:51Speaker 1: it's mom, Donnie. You remember, Democrats don't believe in science.
- 17:54Speaker 1: They never follow the science. When it comes to the economy,
- 17:57Speaker 1: they don't follow the science. When it comes to how
- 18:00Speaker 1: to run housing, there's a science and how to do it,
- 18:02Speaker 1: they don't follow it. Nische, the New York City Housing
- 18:05Speaker 1: Authority worst landlords in the world. You brought up a
- 18:08Speaker 1: great point. They're totally horrible.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Forget it and forget about the NGOs. Isn't this like,
- 18:14Speaker 3: you know, the biggest fraud that we're finding everywhere in
- 18:17Speaker 3: the United States is the ngin.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all we put a ton of money. We
- 18:21Speaker 1: put so much money into knightscha should look like the
- 18:23Speaker 1: taj Mahal, But it's all wasted bloat. Fraud, kickbacks, corruption.
- 18:28Speaker 1: It's just awful. So, mom, Donnie's idea of if the
- 18:32Speaker 1: landlord's bad way will take over, well, you have a history,
- 18:35Speaker 1: you mean, and the government of being the absolute worst
- 18:38Speaker 1: landlords of all. And here he is talking about this
- 18:42Speaker 1: knightsche stuff. The New York City housing horrible.
- 18:45Speaker 7: We cannot afford to wait any longer. This five point
- 18:49Speaker 7: six billion dollar capital commitment is a significant investment that
- 18:53Speaker 7: will both unlock the kinds of conditions that too many
- 18:57Speaker 7: Knischa residents have been denied, and also serves as an
- 19:01Speaker 7: invitation to every other party to start to come to
- 19:05Speaker 7: the table to deliver on these kinds of investments for Nischa.
- 19:10Speaker 1: So six billion, five point six billion, that's like six
- 19:14Speaker 1: billion dollars. You know, Ken Griffin spending six billion on
- 19:17Speaker 1: a building. It's at Park Avenue and fifty second Street.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It's like a block long. It's a hundred story skyscraper,
- 19:25Speaker 1: absolute state of the arts, super luxury. That's what you
- 19:28Speaker 1: get for six billion when the private sector spends it.
- 19:31Speaker 1: When you spend it with the government, you get Nitscha housing,
- 19:34Speaker 1: which is totally decrepit, totally awful. And he just told you,
- 19:38Speaker 1: Remember he says, right, there this Nightscha housing is awful.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It's horrible, it's substandard. Well, who do you blame for that?
- 19:46Speaker 1: Blame the Democrats. They've been in power for twelve years.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Democrats have controlled everything city hall, city council, state legislature,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and governor's office. It's all been Democrats for twelve years.
- 19:58Speaker 1: So everything stinks, so obviously their fault. Let's go to
- 20:02Speaker 1: Blouvelt in Florida. Blouvelt, how you doing.
- 20:06Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark Simore, How we are Okay? Did you
- 20:12Speaker 8: get your fill of hot dogs on your long weekend
- 20:14Speaker 8: trip away?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Did I get my wife.
- 20:17Speaker 8: Phill of hot dogs?
- 20:19Speaker 4: Oh?
- 20:20Speaker 1: No, I didn't have anything.
- 20:21Speaker 8: You have a hot dog guy.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I love hot dogs. I tried to eat them very
- 20:24Speaker 1: rarely and the only time I like. The best hot
- 20:27Speaker 1: dogs in the world are Costco. That's still the best
- 20:29Speaker 1: hot dog on earth. Another reason is that fun they
- 20:33Speaker 1: make the best hot dog fun Costco hot sausages.
- 20:39Speaker 8: When I was making hot dogs and sausages back in Jersey,
- 20:43Speaker 8: we always built up a big, big inventory going to
- 20:46Speaker 8: Memorial Day weekend. And I can tell you every Memorial
- 20:50Speaker 8: Day that I can remember always rains.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. We have a history of bad weather
- 20:55Speaker 1: on Memorial Days. But Costco the best hot dog will
- 20:57Speaker 1: give an honorable mention to Walters in Mamarnick Walters has
- 21:03Speaker 1: been there like one hundred and twenty years. It's like
- 21:04Speaker 1: the Peter Lugers of hot dogs. What else Johnny and
- 21:09Speaker 1: Hages and fair laun Oh also in Fort Lee, what's
- 21:12Speaker 1: the famous one? They're hi rooms Hire rooms is legendary
- 21:15Speaker 1: for those hot dogs. Bridgeport. You got super duper WEENI
- 21:19Speaker 1: you got see I know my hot dogs. Let's go
- 21:22Speaker 1: to Maria in Manhattan. Maria, how you doing?
- 21:27Speaker 2: It's just fine, thank you very much.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Quick question.
- 21:30Speaker 4: If the city is going to take.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Over bad they run buildings, who's going to take over Nicha.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Well that's the problem. And you know, if you look
- 21:38Speaker 1: back at who they've sent in there to run Nischa,
- 21:40Speaker 1: some top people, really good people. But it's a mess.
- 21:42Speaker 1: It's just a bloated, awful bureaucracy. They get absolutely nothing done.
- 21:49Speaker 1: They don't know how to run anything. They can't even
- 21:51Speaker 1: fix potholes, I mean, can't fill a pothole. How are
- 21:54Speaker 1: you going to run housing? Hey, speaking of that, that's
- 21:57Speaker 1: sinkhole in Long Island. There may be another explanation for that.
- 22:02Speaker 1: We'll get to it coming up. You know, we were
- 22:03Speaker 1: talking last week or so, but there's infrastructure under highways,
- 22:07Speaker 1: pipes and everything, and when they're really old and they
- 22:10Speaker 1: rust and joints break, you know, it can flood, and
- 22:15Speaker 1: that causes the sync of well it may not be that,
- 22:17Speaker 1: it may there was apparently construction going on in the area. Well,
- 22:21Speaker 1: we'll get to We'll get to it in the next hour.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Coming up. Next, we'll talk to the great Howie Car,
- 22:25Speaker 1: one of the great talk show hosts in the world.
- 22:29Speaker 1: We'll do that next on seven ten WR seven ten WRS.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Mark Simon, Well, one of the great talk show hosts
- 22:39Speaker 1: in the world. I love listening to Howie Car. You
- 22:41Speaker 1: can hear him on iHeart. You can get the show,
- 22:43Speaker 1: you can get the podcast iHeart. You can also get
- 22:46Speaker 1: his best selling books, the latest mass Corruption. You get
- 22:49Speaker 1: his books everything at HOWI caarshow dot com, Howie carsshow
- 22:54Speaker 1: dot com. Even easier, just go on Amazon and type
- 22:57Speaker 1: in how He Car. You'll love his books, how He
- 22:59Speaker 1: Car How? You doing.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Very good again? I feel like I'm in groundhog Day
- 23:04Speaker 4: with these Iran negotiations, you know, I mean, I've just
- 23:08Speaker 4: looked at the Fox, The Fox headline all morning US
- 23:12Speaker 4: Iran talks reach critical Phase. I think I think that's
- 23:17Speaker 4: called the standing headline in newspapers. You don't, don't break
- 23:22Speaker 4: up the old the old hot type, just run the
- 23:26Speaker 4: same headline every day, Reach critical Phase, well followed by Trump.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Iranians have five to seven days the deal, Reach Deal.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I mean, it just keeps going on and on. When's
- 23:39Speaker 4: it gonna end?
- 23:40Speaker 1: Well, look at Trump, the Great, the master negotiators, spent
- 23:43Speaker 1: his whole life negotiating with the toughest unions, contractors, mobsters,
- 23:48Speaker 1: and he's never come up against lunatics like this. What
- 23:51Speaker 1: are you do in a case like this?
- 23:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, I was just tucking with someone else
- 23:55Speaker 4: about that. I mean, this is I mean, you know,
- 23:57Speaker 4: in the past, he always knew he was dealing with,
- 23:59Speaker 4: you know, Fat Tony or you know or or you
- 24:03Speaker 4: know what I mean, somebody like that, somebody that you know,
- 24:06Speaker 4: he knew, he knew who the capo was. You don't
- 24:09Speaker 4: even know who the the capo. The capo's dead, you know,
- 24:12Speaker 4: I think in all likelihood, and then they're just you know,
- 24:15Speaker 4: operating in his name and I don't. It's a it's
- 24:18Speaker 4: a it's a tough point, you know, it's but you know,
- 24:20Speaker 4: on the on the other hand, if you looked at
- 24:22Speaker 4: the Texas the map of the Texas counties to see
- 24:25Speaker 4: how it went last night, Yeah, it's just did how
- 24:29Speaker 4: many counties there are in Texas? Two hundred and fifty four?
- 24:32Speaker 1: Wow?
- 24:32Speaker 4: Do you know how many? John Cornyon carried?
- 24:35Speaker 1: No.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Two he carried. He carried Travis County in UH which
- 24:42Speaker 4: is uh which is Austin. And he carried some county
- 24:45Speaker 4: had never heard of down on the Gulf Coast, Kennedy
- 24:48Speaker 4: Kate with one end Kennedy County, there were there's nobody
- 24:54Speaker 4: in Kennedy County. Cornon won the vote in Kennedy County
- 24:58Speaker 4: six votes to two votes for facts. Then those were
- 25:03Speaker 4: the two out of two hundred and fifty four counties.
- 25:06Speaker 4: I mean, that's what you call a crushing defeat. After
- 25:09Speaker 4: eighteen years in the US Senate.
- 25:11Speaker 1: You know, Donald Trump is in his second term, heading
- 25:13Speaker 1: into the second half of the second term. Usually you're
- 25:15Speaker 1: a total lame duck, you're totally useless by that. But
- 25:19Speaker 1: he's stronger in the second term than in the first.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It's it's pretty amazing, isn't it.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Yeah, it is. You know, I think part of it
- 25:27Speaker 4: is his his enemies, you know, I mean, the the
- 25:30Speaker 4: Republicans are feckless. You know, he's getting rid of them.
- 25:33Speaker 4: The Democrats are being eliminated. You know, Durban's on his
- 25:37Speaker 4: way out. Shumor is gonna if if AOC runs for president,
- 25:40Speaker 4: I guess it'll be up to Mumdani to knock him out.
- 25:43Speaker 4: But you know, they're all they're just He's fortunate in
- 25:49Speaker 4: the enemies that he's drawn, isn't he.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, these Democrats with the with the crazy Trump arrangements,
- 25:58Speaker 1: don't they realize they're kind of helping more than When
- 26:00Speaker 1: are they going to regroup and figure out a better strategy?
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yeah? How about how about this? How about Al Green?
- 26:06Speaker 4: There was another loss last night. Al Green, the guy
- 26:09Speaker 4: with the cane was yelling at him at the State
- 26:11Speaker 4: of the Union. You know, apparently they you know, they
- 26:13Speaker 4: redistrict did everything in Texas, and he moved into a
- 26:16Speaker 4: new district and he got crushed by some guy who's
- 26:19Speaker 4: like old enough to be young enough to be his grandson.
- 26:22Speaker 4: And I was thinking, you know, al forgot his great
- 26:25Speaker 4: hit from the nineteen seventies. Why can't why don't we
- 26:28Speaker 4: stay together?
- 26:29Speaker 1: Bad thing. I love the other Algreen, the singing a green.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's I think that's probably one reason
- 26:40Speaker 4: why the the algreen with the cane one initially one
- 26:46Speaker 4: in Houston.
- 26:46Speaker 8: You know.
- 26:48Speaker 1: That's a good theory. I like that. So, uh hey,
- 26:54Speaker 1: Barney Frank passed away. You Yes, way back then he
- 26:58Speaker 1: was considered an extra total left wing kookie left. Now
- 27:03Speaker 1: he's like a moderate in the Democratic Party. What happened?
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I was thinking about that, you know. He
- 27:08Speaker 4: you know, he wrote he's got this book coming out
- 27:10Speaker 4: posthumously saying, you know, the Democrats have gone too far.
- 27:13Speaker 4: And you know, the governor of Massachusetts is a lesbian now,
- 27:17Speaker 4: you know, from Maryland, and uh, you know she last
- 27:21Speaker 4: week she tried to put somebody on the parole board
- 27:23Speaker 4: to they're letting her there. They're just rubber stamping out
- 27:26Speaker 4: these murderers, one after another on the parole board. It
- 27:29Speaker 4: was too much for her. She's run for reelection and
- 27:31Speaker 4: the Governor's Council, which you know, approves the parole board,
- 27:34Speaker 4: they refused to put a prosecutor on the parole board,
- 27:38Speaker 4: and she she had to come out and say, hey,
- 27:40Speaker 4: it's gone too far. And then you had Tammy Duckworth
- 27:43Speaker 4: in Illinois. You know when the Memorial Day, when the
- 27:47Speaker 4: when the Democrat National Committee put out the the tweets
- 27:51Speaker 4: saying saying, would like to thank all the people who
- 27:53Speaker 4: died in Trump's unnecessary war in irene In. I mean,
- 27:56Speaker 4: just these people are out. I mean, when you've got
- 28:00Speaker 4: Barney Frank, Mara Healey and Tammy Duckworth saying I think
- 28:04Speaker 4: you guys have gone too far. I think it's pretty
- 28:07Speaker 4: clear you know that they have gone too far, isn't it.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah, So at some point the cycle changes. You turn
- 28:15Speaker 1: a corner. Are we starting to turn that corner? Is
- 28:17Speaker 1: this the beginning and the end of that craziness?
- 28:19Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know. I'm just looking at
- 28:23Speaker 4: the headline in the New York Post today, ma'am, Donnie
- 28:26Speaker 4: wants to seize apartments from landlords give them to nonprofits.
- 28:32Speaker 4: I mean, couldn't you make the argument that the New
- 28:34Speaker 4: York Housing Authority is a nonprofit and they're the biggest
- 28:37Speaker 4: slumlord in the city, just like every other city, aren't they.
- 28:41Speaker 4: I mean, this is insanity, isn't it. I Mean, he
- 28:44Speaker 4: hasn't learned, he hasn't you know, I mean to forget
- 28:47Speaker 4: you know, Barney and Mara and Tammy. I mean, he's
- 28:52Speaker 4: not taking his foot off the gas pedal.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Is it really insane? Is it insanity? Or is this
- 28:58Speaker 1: a communist the way of thinking. Let's the start here,
- 29:01Speaker 1: governments seizing private property and taking control of it at
- 29:05Speaker 1: the beginning of something for him. I think.
- 29:08Speaker 4: You know he did. You see, the Supreme Court just
- 29:11Speaker 4: last week ruled this this American company that owned the
- 29:15Speaker 4: docks in Havana. They've been trying to get him. They've
- 29:18Speaker 4: been trying to get some kind of ruling against the
- 29:20Speaker 4: communists in Cube but the Castros for seventy years for
- 29:23Speaker 4: seizing the docks, and finally the Supreme Court said, yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 4: you've got to You've got a case. You can get
- 29:28Speaker 4: the money back from the commedis. I mean, there's he
- 29:31Speaker 4: he ought to he ought to start reading some of
- 29:32Speaker 4: these Supreme Court rulings. I mean it, you know, eventually
- 29:36Speaker 4: it does go back the other way, and and you know,
- 29:39Speaker 4: it doesn't go back the other way because communism succeeds.
- 29:42Speaker 4: It goes back the other way because finally everything is
- 29:45Speaker 4: in ruins and and you have to you have to
- 29:49Speaker 4: go in a different direction. And that's apparently this is
- 29:52Speaker 4: what Mamdani wants to do. He wants to just take
- 29:54Speaker 4: down everything. It's good, it's and he's going to end up.
- 29:59Speaker 4: You know, they's going to be the same thing with
- 30:00Speaker 4: the Havana docks, seizing apartments. The government is going to
- 30:06Speaker 4: take over the housing to make it better. Yeah, and
- 30:10Speaker 4: has he ever been to a public housing project?
- 30:13Speaker 1: Yeah? Well, you know, Democrats don't follow science. They don't
- 30:16Speaker 1: follow this the science of running an economy. We know
- 30:18Speaker 1: what works, we know it doesn't work. We've tested socialism
- 30:22Speaker 1: ten thousand times, all these but they don't care about
- 30:24Speaker 1: the science. They'll keep doing it. So, hey, we got
- 30:28Speaker 1: you're the Kennedy expert of the world. We have this
- 30:31Speaker 1: crazy Kennedy kid, son of Caroline Kennedy, Jack Schlosper.
- 30:36Speaker 4: He's behind though, he's behind in the polls. Though. I
- 30:38Speaker 4: saw that. That's good news.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Oh good, Yeah, because he's running for Congress here.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Well, he's got like eleven percent, right, he's like running
- 30:45Speaker 4: third or fourth. That's good. I'm glad. Maybe maybe New
- 30:48Speaker 4: York is so bringing up.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Yeah, well, or maybe he's just really have you have
- 30:53Speaker 1: you gotten to listen to him, he's the dumbest, weirdest. Uh.
- 30:57Speaker 1: But what is it with these Kennedys.
- 31:00Speaker 4: I don't know. I mean, he's he's he's really, he's
- 31:04Speaker 4: a he's a real not yeah, I mean, and some
- 31:06Speaker 4: of them they can blame it on the booze. But
- 31:08Speaker 4: I don't think. I don't think. I don't think he's
- 31:10Speaker 4: got an alcohol problem. He's just insane. Ye.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Well that's uh. I was never a Caroline fan. And
- 31:16Speaker 1: you know her husband, Ed Schlosburg. Really yeah, very bad
- 31:21Speaker 1: vibe coming off that guy. So, uh, this is the
- 31:25Speaker 1: result of those two. But hey, Howie Carr, great stuff
- 31:29Speaker 1: his books. Get his books, and get Kennedy Babylon, get
- 31:32Speaker 1: the Whitey Bulger book. But tell us about your latest book,
- 31:35Speaker 1: mass Corruption.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Mass Corruption. It's just it's about the the It's it's
- 31:40Speaker 4: a terrible case. There's corruption is out of control here
- 31:43Speaker 4: in Massachusetts and it continues to be. I centered it
- 31:46Speaker 4: on the trial Double Jeopardy, murder trials of an innocent
- 31:50Speaker 4: woman and in the suburban Boston Karen Reid. But it's
- 31:55Speaker 4: it's it's just there's so much stuff out there, and
- 31:57Speaker 4: I've got I've got new books on the way I'm
- 32:00Speaker 4: gonna I'm gonna have a collection of my columns and
- 32:02Speaker 4: I'm trying to get some more stuff on Whitey Bulger
- 32:04Speaker 4: his last his last statement, one hundred and forty pages
- 32:07Speaker 4: of handwritten notes. I'm trying to get them. Yeah, it's
- 32:11Speaker 4: it's I mean, it's you know, he's just trying to
- 32:13Speaker 4: settle all scores and all that kind of stuff. But
- 32:15Speaker 4: I think it'd be pretty interesting. I'm just trying to
- 32:17Speaker 4: get it unsealed from the federal courts right now. Wow.
- 32:20Speaker 4: And I'll have a new book out pretty soon. So

- 33:40Speaker 1: get to what caused that. It's not as bad as
- 33:43Speaker 1: we thought. Also, we'll get to, Hey, Joe Biden suing
- 33:47Speaker 1: the Trump administration over something that could really, really really
- 33:52Speaker 1: make him look bad. We'll get to that coming up,
- 33:55Speaker 1: and we'll get to the latest on Iran. We'll get
- 33:58Speaker 1: to the supermarket ski of Mom Donnie. It turns out

- 34:05Speaker 1: normal cost of a supermarket two million. That's a great
- 34:09Speaker 1: example of government waste and fraud. Anyway back after the news,
- 34:13Speaker 1: Mark Simone here on seven to ten WO
