- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, so we got some news and things to talk about out of practice today.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of plays toward the game on Saturday.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think the big thing we'll just start with, the Browns made a trade.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: Today, so Joanne Briggs, the Browns' seventh round draft pick last year, is now headed along with a seventh round pick to the New York Jets in exchange for a sixth round pick.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: So, kind of moving up in the draft.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: let and go guy that probably wasn't going to make the cut at the end of you know in the next couple weeks so how do you guys feel about that news?
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think we just kind of have like a very nice embarrassment of riches right now at that position.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: You got, you got Mason Graham, you got Michael Hall, you've got, who am I just going to hear?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then Sam Kumar continues to play good in pre-season.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really shocked and then I guess if you're going to do it,
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, make it, make it worth a while, move up in the draft where you have a nice abundance of picks already.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: You're improving a seven to a six round pick.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, you know, Barry the last three years, including this one who's made some move.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_03]: This was the latest last year he did.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was Chris Williams.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_03]: He got a draft pick and swapped the seventh for that.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we got rid of Joshua Dobbs picked up a fifth for that.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_03]: We did pick up here strong.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: We're still yet to reap the benefits of that.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_03]: And he's made a couple moves that, you know, he always shows that he's not really done.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: And he leaves no turn, a stone unturned.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: And he's probably has more up his sleeve because if you take a look at the defensive line, like look at Cam Thomas, like somebody
- 4:20[SPEAKER_03]: He may want him, that guy's been bawling, you know?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: There's a couple other guys, like, even K.J.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: Harvey, like, I mean, I don't think they'll trade him, but I mean, whenever you throw one in the end zone, somebody gets excited about something, they might give something away, like who knows, but I've like what he's done, maybe just another receiver, like let's put Bond out there too, that was a savvy move, I guess.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_03]: And let's see what else that they can do.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's always nice when, like you said, you got a guy who's going to end up getting cut anyway, and you can always, you know, I mean, they're not, it's nothing crazy, but you're moving up around in the draft and everything you're improving your draft position.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: So that's nice that they were able to do that and you're right the defensive line.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: you know we talked all off season about you know who's going to be the running made opposite miles like we need another elite guy you know should we trade for this guy or that guy every name that came you know available in the off season it seemed was linked to the browns issue after whoever it was really I don't know if we need anybody I mean Alex right and Isaiah McGuire have
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: shown a ton like especially last couple years when they've been healthy on the field.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: They've played well in this preseason.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: They're showing that they are continuing to develop.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then you got Joe Trianchoy and that Julian Aquara.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he's going to make the team, but he's been playing very well.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I thought maybe this was because more a sign that eight in Huntington might be making this roster, the undrafted free agent.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's like,
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: Edge interior, I think he can bounce inside outside, but he's the dude on the kickoff.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's like a good first.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's unreal.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_03]: That is, like I, it's so unbelievable.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_03]: That being said, though, when we picked him up, I remember looking at him as far as a UDFA, and I think his RAS score was over nine.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_03]: And when somebody's like that and available that, he throws some money at him, get him on your team, and you see how you can develop him.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see if our boy Ralph Holley makes the roster.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'd love to see make the roster, but like this is a very, very past deep defensive line room and report out of camp or yeah, camp today practice that Mike Hall Jr.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: was working off to the side of practice.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: And they asked Kevin Stephanski about his injury status after he came off that knee surgery in the offseason.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: Kevin, what really given answer, but the fact that he was at practice working off to the side and they just traded away another defensive tackle kind of, you know, gives you a good feeling that my call is going to be ready sooner than later.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: I agreed.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: A hundred percent.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: If there was any doubt that he wouldn't be ready, you probably can't make that trade unless you're a hundred percent dead set.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to cut him.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: But if you guys seen us kind of wild that we're like kind of thrown in with this uh, train Hendrix and Rhinerack.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, we're linked to everybody that's available.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_03]: So it's so wild that someone would even put together Mike Brown and the trade for us.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: And we were saying before this, that I mean, I can't remember the last time the Browns of Bengals traded anything.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_03]: I looked bad.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't find anything for last fifteen years.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_03]: So if anybody has anything, put it in the comments because I'd like to know.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: And one of the reports did say, you know, like the Browns were one of the first teams that showed interest in trading for trend.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: Hendricks and I was like, well, they better.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you got to do your job in some cloud to know that they're at least touching base.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm sure Cincinnati said, probably not even answer the phone when you call back, but you got to check.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: Got to check when a guy like that becomes available.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: Just looking towards Saturday, news came out, I think yesterday, right, Monday, Joe Flacco, named the starting quarterback for week one.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think, and obviously by the time people are watching this listening to it, you'll probably already have an answer, but do you think Joe Flacco starts the game on Saturday against the Rams gets a driver too?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like, they said today, or the press conference I heard, he said it would be great to get some reps down and get ready for the season.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: So I believe he is, I don't know if you guys remember back in the day, but it was four games in the preseason.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_03]: The guys would get one or two series, then they would get a half and then they would play three quarters and then they wouldn't play the fourth game.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_03]: Now it's different, they may get a series in the first game, they do not play the second game, and then they may get a series, or maybe even a half for the last game.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_03]: It is the Dress rehearsal.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: Sounds like he wants to put his dress on, get some dance and shoes on, and get out there and have some good times.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm okay if he wants to go out there and do a series.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's earned that.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: The only risk, you know, the guy's hold.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's just in trouble as old.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, but athleticish, you know, and throw the hell out of a football.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: That would be my only concern, but if he feels like he needs, he's okay with going and getting in a driver.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need a half from Joe Flacco.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Give me a drive.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: If it looks good, get him out of there.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get ready for week one.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, Joe Flacco did not need any time.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: And he reps ahead of time in twenty twenty three when he was sitting out in free agency and, you know, at home, just chilling and the Browns called him in and he came into a game and right back to business for Joe Flacco.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: But it would be nice to get him out there, get the offense a little bit in rhythm.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's just obviously going to be a driver too, but just get some life reps.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: There's first team offense.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't seen the line out there.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't seen some of these guys, you know, Jerry, Judy, like just go out there and get a series or two and just even if it's not great or not high flying, you know, whatever, just get some reps live in game action.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: But we, I mean, obviously, I know you guys weren't surprised that they named Joe Flack with a starter, but what do you think that, you know, does for our prospects at the beginning of the season?
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: as far as, like, offensive prospects, like, fan in.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking, no, I'm sorry.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: I heard a record like record-wise.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, do you think we can actually put together some wins early in the season with Joe Flacco, a quarterback with this defense?
- 10:16[SPEAKER_03]: I do.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you take a look at the season, like I mean, we said all offseason long as soon as we got the schedule, this is a gauntlet.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: However, the Bengals are the Bengals.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_03]: The Raven still started off slow last year.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think they lost their first two games if I remember correctly.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if that's going to be the case this year.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_03]: look at the Detroit Lions they kind of look like we did in the offseason last year they kind of look a little bit lost they've lost to very important coordinators the offensive and defensive coordinator they could start off slow and just not catch what's going on
- 10:53[SPEAKER_03]: the green base coming here instead of us going there.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: I just I don't recall playing well in Lambo, but I don't really know if they really play well over here.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe that's a feather in our cap and that who knows what happens in Minnesota.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: So we have a steady force at the quarterback and hopefully it doesn't throw too many touchdowns to the other team.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_03]: I think it'll be a good thing, and I think getting this series in, getting this off season in with us will be a huge help, and it'll be a steadying force for the veterans, for the buy-in, and steadying force for the rookies on the team.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: I know this is almost like cheating, but I'm excited really just for week one.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because if there is an offense that you can line up against and you want your defense to prove if you're legit or not, it's probably those guys down south.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: They have a hell of an offense I'm told.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of really, really good players.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: But for me, let me see them in Cleveland against Cincinnati.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, let's, because I know last preseason, I felt like it wasn't that great, but I thought we were going to be okay.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I knew about immediately five minutes into the game last year that it was going to be very, very tough, tough year.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what I'm really, really excited about as far as, you know, going into that got a little flack of.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you one thing though, the bangles should, we should have beat the bangles with some, would have played that whole game.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and he would have beat the bangles of Steelers.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: They would have beat and they would have beat the Ravens, right?
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: So he would have got the sweep at the home.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what we all we needed from him really, right?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: And man, I'm looking my chops for the our defensive line against their old line because I think yeah, I think Burroughs going to be running, man.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is sponsored by Manly Bands.

- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: Twenty five.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: So Justin said, you know, they've got a great offense down there.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_02]: And since now they've got some good players.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: They've got some really good skill players.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that offensive line is a little big stinky dude.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: Did you guys watch the the pre-season game Monday night against the commanders?
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: Just the highlights and I've read everything.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, so since then, that he left their first team offense out there for a while.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that the Justin did the commander start their first team defense.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that off the top.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: They started their first team off and so I imagine they started at least some of their defense, but then it was like the second string guys in the bangle still had their first team offense out there.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Burl running for his life.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: The line could not hold up.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was bad out there.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: People were like, get him out of the game.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then I think was their left guard just what yesterday.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: or today maybe went down with an injury and they think he's gonna be out for the year.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: So they're already down to like a second string guy there and the first string guys aren't that great.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: And then with the Bengals first team defense got completely shredded, not only by Jayden Daniels and the first team offense at the commanders, but the second team offense too came out and was just like boom, boom, boom, down the field on these guys.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: We won.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: They were tough, really, really rough on defense last year.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: and then Sam Hubbard retired and then Hendrix and I don't know, I don't think Hendrix is going to play for them.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, who knows, maybe he does, but like everything that you see as far as what's coming out, it doesn't look good.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, neither side is backing down.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: One doesn't want to pay.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: The other one's not taking a cut.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I, you figure eventually, he's going to get probably get traded.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then Yikesich, that's the only key piece of your defense is gone.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a real chance we start want to know this season.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's okay.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: With Joe Flacco leading this offensive, Matt, that tenacious Brown's defensive front going into that bangles O line in Joe Burr.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a real chance as long as we don't turn the ball over, you know, as long as we can get our run game going and that kind of stuff.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what, let me show up in Cleveland week one with a poncho, and I will feel lovely about it.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: Just like I was doing.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll be happy here.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Looks like seventy five yards of offense today for the sweet Bengals.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they got it after that game.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: That was quite old.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it'll also be important to who's playing in our secondary because other news out of practice today.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: Denzel Ward went out with a shoulder injury yesterday.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Still not practicing today.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Greg Newsom still not practicing with his shoulder injury.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously Martin Anderson Jr.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: out for the year.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yikes, that's all three of our top quarterbacks that we were coming into this thing going, hey, we got one of the best like trios of wide receivers, probably in the league.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that three, three pack right there is really good.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: We definitely don't have all three of them, and now the two that we do have are banged up, and it's just, that's not good heading in here.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty comfortable with the three weeks that we have till the season and where they're going, where they're headed.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty sure Denzel is just precautionary at this point still.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: They're not dead.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_03]: We're innocent, but be ready for the season.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_03]: The big loss though is Emerson because he just jammed Jamar Chase really hard at the line.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: And he seemed to have his number a little bit.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the reason why we had a lot of success with him on the team.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: It'll be interesting to see what changes happen when we play them at the beginning of the year.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see about this second there.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: They probably have to add.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'd imagine they're waiting for cut-downs.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: Just kind of see who gets let go, maybe on another team.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: But, um, okay.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: So, why do receiver news?
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, we, we signed.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: Isaiah Bond will talk about that in a second.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: They said, Central Tillman didn't practice today due to a minor thumb injury, which the team has concerned about.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: But again, here we go.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm concerned on another.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm concerned, bro.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm concerned.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say it.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm a huge saidric tillman fan.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's kid has
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: huge potential if you could just get on the field and stay there.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: I, it's, I've never seen anything like it, especially for a guy at one point last year when he started getting hot, I was like, this dude might be the one on our team.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: It might not be Judy.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it said your tellman looked so good in that I want to say it was the Baltimore game that I was just blown away at, but since then it's just been a nasty, nasty concussion and then just unable to get on the field and stay there.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: I still love the potential of it.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like are we ever going to get an opportunity to see it?
- 18:27[SPEAKER_03]: I find the frustrating thing about him is this particular injury.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: When you said he was out, I'm like, okay, while he's hamstring or whatever, but when I thought it was a thumb in this injury, I play touch football, man.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_03]: I thumb injuries all year long because you just grab the ball.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: When you take the ball out of the air, catch it, just jam your fingers.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_03]: You play that way.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's got to be pretty bad.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like you can't walk because you're thumb pain so bad.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't get it.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or maybe it was just something like they said minor and they're just like just donning practice today.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's not a big deal.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: Just get that thing healed up.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but I'm with you, Justin is concerning that it's great.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Just see every week it seems like there's something else.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Senator Tillman's not practicing at OTAs.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's missed a day of mini camp.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's missed these two days of training camp.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: You know, this and that and the others like at what point are you just going to be on the field consistently?
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's like will it ever happen?
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's like Blake Renecker has said, Rick Tillman.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: always hurt.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, like, love you dog.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: Shot's fired.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I am.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: I just would love for him to just get healthy because I really, really do think that there is he has a special potential.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just sucks.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_03]: He can't teach that size man.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: He can't teach that size.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, and so the guy that doesn't have a whole lot of size, but has a lot of talent.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: Isaiah Bond, what do you guys think about that?
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: The fully guaranteed deal, three years, three million dollars, fifty four thousand dollar signing bonus.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's a lock for the, you know, the fifty three man roster with that guaranteed contract now.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: What's he bringing to this team?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, he's bring speed.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_03]: He brings separation based on what I've read.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he can run the whole road tree, but that connection between him and Tommy Reese and getting that guaranteed money, they were going to draft him.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_03]: And just with what everyone on, unfortunately, he had to go through what he had to go through.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_03]: It was a no bill hearing, I guess, or he got no build.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_03]: And so now that they have
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: They have a chance to sign them.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_03]: He signed right away just based on keeping connection with the Browns and keeping connection with Tommy Reese and let's see where it goes because with our receiver room, we need that speed and we need some talent.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think you nailed it right there at the end, man.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: You just said that receiver room.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: at which I'm not a hundred percent sure what it is yet.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: For I hate to be to dead horse on this, but it's almost just like just really, really great opportune time to bring him in because you're bringing in an influx of talent where it almost kind of feels a little desperate right now.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Tominsert again.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: I liked what I saw from thrash, but you know, we're not sure about Beyonce Johnson, what's going on with him, whether he's even going to make the team.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, you're counting on, you know, maybe a U-D-F-A, as you know, your last, why receiver or so.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: I, I think it is as far as like what it does to the roster in that receiver room, it's huge.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're bringing in a huge influx of talent.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think I don't know if we've really talked about it too much, but you know, you can use said the Tommy Reese connection.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: So for anybody who's not aware, Isaiah Bond played for Alabama in twenty twenty three last year in twenty four than he transferred to Texas.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: So that's twenty twenty three with Tommy Reese.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_02]: That's where that connection comes in.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, he's not he's the kid that didn't have a whole lot of
- 21:53[SPEAKER_02]: statistical production and college nothing that you look at the stats and it just doesn't like blow your way or anything.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: But when you watch him run route and you see him on the field like he's you can tell he's got he's focused on his his craft like he's got wide receiver trades dripping you know he can he's shifty he's uh what what do they say sudden and twitchy
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: like he can get open and then once you get the ball in his hands, he can go because he's got that speed.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm very excited to see and, you know, I've seen people say and I don't disagree that this kid could end up being the, you know, why don't you see for two on this team as soon as this season, depending on what happens with said, I don't think it's that crazy.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it's like, yeah, say that.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he seems like a less polished faster version of Jerry Judy.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: Now, he talked about Jerry Judy being a wide receiver that he looks up to or models his game after another Alabama guy.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_02]: So that's it's good.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, obviously, I keep selling people like feel how you want to feel about the, you know, the off field stuff, but it was dismissed.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: No charges brought all that kind of stuff.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's cleared like he's moving on.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: So we should move on to it.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's almost football season.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: So to kind of hit, then, you know, we talked about Joe Flacco and him potentially playing on Saturday, at least a few drives or whatever, but he'll start week one.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't heard anything this week about Dylan Gabriel and his hamstring.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm guessing he must be okay.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: Can he pick it with his hamstring injury is still out and Kevin has already said he will not play Saturday, which means can he pick it?
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: Who we traded a fifth round pick for early in the off season.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: First quarterback we brought in here.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: He was running with the ones all of OTAs and many camp in early on in training camp.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: He has now missed the entire preseason in this quarterback battle.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: Is there any way that
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: one that we keep him on the roster heading in the season.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: And if we do, does he stay at QB two, even though he essentially did not participate in this competition?
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: Justin, what do you think?
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: So hear me out.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: I've already kind of went off about this.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how we continue to believe that this guy we take him into the season.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't seen him play yet.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: With the last time we seen him play and they weren't even wearing pads.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't know and it wasn't that great before that.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: The buzz was it what we saw wasn't that great.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I think we saw was not good.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you, you, if you take three quarterbacks, let's say we take three.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you look at either of the rookies and you go, yeah, we got to put this guy on the roster and I'm sorry, you're gonna, they're not gonna practice squad.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm this, that person, if they did that would be traded away.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's any reason you've already named your starter Joe Flacco.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: You have two rookie quarterbacks on rookie deals that are gonna save you from this dissonant, dissonant, and contract stuff.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: Cut him, trade him, do whatever you gotta do.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's brought nothing to the table for us as far as to this point.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, there's not much more you can say to that.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I was trying to look for like another scenario where this kind of happened where, you know, a player in any position, miss the entire preseason and the training camp.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_03]: And generally, I couldn't find one that stayed on the team unless it's like a,
- 25:13[SPEAKER_03]: a rookie where you don't know the potential on you invested something higher than a four or three.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_03]: It seems improbable, but the Browns can always make the improbable probable.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see what happens.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_03]: And knock on wood, nothing happens any other quarterbacks that he has to stay.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: What I would ask you guys, let's say we do take four quarterbacks into the season.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: Is there, how did you even look at the rookies and say, we have to put Kenny Picking at two?
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: And after these got, that's, I mean, I know he's a veteran.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: I know he was one of the first people that we brought in, but I know arguably you could say, hey, maybe he is more game ready, I guess, NFL ready than the rookies right now.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: But what advantages that for us?
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if they're talking about taking a quarterback next year.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: What advantages is that?
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I should do our Sanders through two to and I get it.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: I know it was precies, but he threw two touchdown passes in his first ever NFL game action.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: Can he pick it is only ever thrown two touchdown passes in an NFL game once ever.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's not a touchdown throw.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's not, I don't think he's very good.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: And I keep seeing people say, like, Sam Darnalash, you're really, you know, ruined things for everybody.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: Cause now everybody thinks they can get the next Sam Darnal.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, that was a one time thing.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: That was a Kevin O'Connell.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: And Justin Jefferson, Addison, like, that was a Minnesota Vikings thing.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, hats off to Sam Darnal.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: He had to play well.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: But he's never played anywhere close to that before in his career.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: There's we if the brown spot at any point.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: We can get Sam Darnold type of production or you know, we can get something like that out of any figure.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: You guys are crazy.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: What makes Sam Darnold thought when he was like Holy crap, I'm throwing a Justin Jefferson.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: The best guy I've ever had was.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_03]: And like you know what we we got our lightning in the bottle.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: We had it with Joe Flacco.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: And we had him two years ago.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean to get it out of Kenny Pickett and he hasn't hasn't even had close for the career that Joe Flacco has.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I just I just don't get it.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing is is like I'm really like
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: grasping at strings here.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, it's a locker room thing where they seize a veteran.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: They say, hey, keep in them.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_03]: He put his time in and it's respect in the locker room.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't, I don't even really know if that'll happen.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 27:44[SPEAKER_03]: Like I'm really pulling to get this to get an answer for you.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't see how you make it happen.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: Jeff something Justin now there's nothing else to be said about this for me brother so for me like I guess I don't see any I don't see why they should take any pick it into the season
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: And if they do, I don't know why you would keep him at QB two.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you let him be the next guy up?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, when the rookies have been out there, they've already played in the preseason.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: They've shown that they can do it.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now, can they do it against a true first team defense in a real game?
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: There's going to be bumps and bruises.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: But can he pick?
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's never been anything impressive.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: on the field before.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: So what are we really expecting here?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: And again, we won't get any look at him in the preseason because he's been injured.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: So even if we take him into the season, he might not be healthy enough to be, you know, active in week one.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what this hamstring injury is, but he does have a history of injuries.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: So it's bad enough to keep him out now for like at least a month.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty significant.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_03]: Great, great to spring is a four to eight week process, I thought.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: And we know him he's carry on through the season.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's hamstring injury and camp.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: So now the other quarterback in the roster, the one we haven't talked about yet, should or Sanders still limited in practice.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: The Brown said they monitored his throws today undecided to fill play on Saturday or not yet.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't made a decision, but he did participate in eleven on eleven team drills today.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: something he had not done in the last few practices.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: So that is a really good step forward toward him.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully playing on Saturday because I want to see him again.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: You need to see him again and, you know, because anybody can go out there and have a really nice performance in one game.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: Think, well, Levis, the first time he ever started a game through four touchdown passes.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know if he ever threw four more again.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: But I want to see Shoulder Sanders get back on the field in an NFL game and, you know, seem continued to progress and run this offense.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: So you guys think he'll play with this oblique injury.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: I hope, just for like you said, he's fun to watch, man.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see more.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: I want to, I'm actually super excited just in general to see like if we get to see all three guys.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: If it is a little bit of flacko, a little bit of, you know, say, and there's a little bit of Gabriel, I'm excited.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm stoked.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think if they're going to be overly cautious with picket, they're going to be overly cautious with chidor and I don't know if he goes or not, especially bridge.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: Tyler Huntley, not Richard.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I want to call him Richard.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why I'm enamored with the old Pittsburgh Steelers running back Richard.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, as I wanted to be our quarterback, that being said, Tyler Huntley, Snoop Huntley is playing really well.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, again, if you want to talk to anybody about making the team, you're going to tell them, tell Snoop there that we're going to keep pick it over you when he's been balling out and kind of balled out for the last two years for us.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's tough.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's tough to tell that guy what we were just talking about earlier, but as far as Shoulder is concerned, he's got a lot of career ahead of him and you can really aggravate an oblique.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_03]: So don't aggravate it if you don't have to and be ready for him.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is sponsored by Southern New Hampshire University.

- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: I do think, first of all, I don't think there's any way, it's new Pontley is making the roster.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's here for, you know, the next what?
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: How many days until we cut down?
- 33:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's gone.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: I see it all over online and stuff like people are upset that he's not out there and all this stuff but you do need to be a little bit patient like you said Kenny because you don't want to aggravate the injury more than you need to plus he's not going to play early in the season anyway nor should he Joe Flacco needs to be the quarterback for this team if we want any chance of being competitive and having some sort of season to worth remembering.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_02]: And then once that either goes by the wayside, heck, if we're winning games and we're, you know, have a winning record and we've got a shot to do something.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: Make some noise this year.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Joe should start as long as he possibly can.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_02]: But if things go south and we're losing games and it's time to make a switch.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's turned the ball over.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he wants to door to be healthy to have that opportunity, even though I don't think it'll be given to him.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think it'll be handed to Dylan Gabriel before it's ever handed to Chador.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's, I mean, based on what we've seen, you know what I mean?
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: We've said it since draft night, like you saw the draft video and you're like, yep, the call.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, yeah, this was their guy.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: This is the guy that they picked.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so it is what it is unless should or somehow is able to like, just be transcending in the next, I guess, a couple months to the point where he just, it's, you can't deny that there's a gap difference between the two of them.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think things are just going to continue as they have the entire time so far.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: So last thing before we wrap her up here for Saturday's game, who's a couple guys on the roster here that you think need to have a big game or a nice performance to really help make their case for the roster guys that are likely going to get cut or could get cut, but with a good performance, could maybe turn around their fate.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: Justin, do you have somebody in mind?
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, man.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I feel like I'll take an easy one.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: A guy that we've been waiting on in a desperate situation.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought it was going to be way more beneficial in a bigger factor or team.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say, Deante Johnson.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see a great performance from Deante Johnson.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: Give me a reason to say, Hey, we have to have this guy on this team.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: This is a veteran, why receiver dependable.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: We have to move forward with them.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: Kenny, what do you think?
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's one of the guys that I would definitely take the auntie Johnson.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't see him have much gusto, you know, but the guy that I'm kind of scratching my head and that thrown out of a game is race on Jenkins.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: He's
- 35:58[SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't really have for what he played.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_03]: His statline is not very great.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I just need to see why they signed him.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_03]: Now, my understanding is that he's a bit of a thumper.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_03]: He's at strong safety.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: He's behind Grant Delpit right now and looking on the Brown's Dept.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_03]: Chart.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: So I think Nick need him just the way that he's playing might be able
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: to transplant them, but Nick Needham's listed under free safety.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: So, man, that means it might be Donovan McMillan that might take him out.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure, but I need to see something out of this guy other than getting kicked out of a game and make some plays, hit some people, tackle, let's see what you got.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we definitely need help.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: And that's secondary for sure.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: To kind of go with Justin's Deontate Johnson, like if he doesn't have a big game, I think the doors wide up for gauge larva dane.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: He can come out and have another solid strong performance and show that he's got NFL level talent on the field.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he could sneak in on the back end of that wider seaver depth chart.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: Just kind of look.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: I was I was reading some stuff online.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: They said that Luke Whipler actually has been very impressive.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a center.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: What third year guy out of Ohio State.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: Now he missed all last year with broken and cool something like that.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: He broke something in the first preseason game in missed the whole year.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: But a guy that we were pretty high on for being a what was he a six round pick.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think fifth or six.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Cameron Mitchell like
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: We need cornerbacks to step up with all the injuries that we're already seeing and it's not even the start of the season.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: We need Cameron Mitchell to do something on the field that isn't impressive and shows that he can be relied upon and then I think Cameron Thomas.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about him a little bit earlier, but you know, if he wants to, I like him.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: I just agree with you, Kenny, I think you're the one that said this, there's so many people in that room.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know if we can keep him.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's going to be tough to keep him.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we can get some kind of asset for him.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you one.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think Blake was on this train and I'm on the Marshall train as well.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_03]: I liked that guy.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know, two years ago, we made the playoffs.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_03]: It was part flaco, but it was also part a cream hunt.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I think cream hunt had only about four or five hundred yards, but he had ten eleven touchdowns.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think he had nine rushing and two receiving to make eleven.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_03]: This is a guy that I think can do the exact same thing.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to get you some first downs.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to be close, but you know, when he runs between the Tonys, he's okay, but when he gets into the Tonys and he gets that goal line, man, that guy can deliver.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I know it again, it's against preseason talent, but that's what he did at Appalachian State.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's been doing now.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that translates over when he can if he can run at a first at some point.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: Is he going to be with the first right now?
- 38:50[SPEAKER_03]: No, he's going to make the back end of this roster.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_03]: But he's something that can be developed because the guy can pass block.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think it's important to remember, too, we had Jerome Ford take a pay cut to stay on the roster before the whole Quinn Sean Judkins thing, but it was primarily because he was very good in special teams.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: So Jerome Ford was not, we weren't expecting him to really contribute a whole lot in the running game more so on, special teams.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_02]: And if that's still the case, a money marshal, like you said, I know it's preseason, but he's looked really good.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't realize just watching him, but his size listed here is six one, two, twenty five.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's a big kid and he can move.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: And like you said, the past protection has been impressive.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: I do think he's a guy that can sneak on the end of this roster because, you know, you talked about pure strong at the beginning of the show.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what have we ever gotten out of him?
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: We could probably move on from pure strong.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, absolutely, and especially with Quintion coming, I mean, even if you kept a room, yeah, maybe, who knows, right?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_03]: But if you, if you kept a room forward, Samson, and you kept it Marshall, I mean, I'd be okay with that for sure.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_03]: There's strong.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_03]: I know we bust it off what a fifty four yard run and that's great, but I mean how many times is he kind of like Ford where he's just minus one zero one to the pops off a big one.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_03]: We need consistent two three.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_03]: Then when you get worn down at the end of the game, then all of a sudden Marshall's runs were like four, six, three, four, you know what I mean?
- 40:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like that wears you down.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: I guess we're real quick before we go.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: We just mentioned Quintion Judkins.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: What do you guys think's going on here with the whole situation?
- 40:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: The last thing I saw was that people were thinking that maybe they're just going to wait until the investigations over.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: Not Michael, what's coming out of the investigation?
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: And what does that have anything to do with it?
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: If there's nothing.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if there was no evidence for the court,
- 40:53[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think I was listening to Josh today and I think you said it like you gave to Sean the money.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_03]: You gave you signed hall.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: Now you signed bond like what's what's the hold up?
- 41:06[SPEAKER_03]: Is it the NFL?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he's definitely getting suspended so he can't sign him till after now.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_03]: You've changed your heart after God.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't know.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I thought that was great.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, good job.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if they're in a for trying to use a possible suspension as leverage to get a discount on his contract, screw you guys, just pay the freaking man.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: If he gets suspended for even if it's six games, which is totally stupid would be ridiculous for the NFL to do that.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: You still need him the rest of the season.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: You still need him next year.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: You need him the year after.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: You need him the year after.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: Pay him.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like this is a one year contract guy.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, yeah, maybe you drafted him with a top forty pick.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: You need the guy get him in here so he can get in game shape so he can help us.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be a focal point of the office.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's not like he was the fifth round, you know, running back that we just took a flyer on like this and we drafted him with purpose and intention.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: Get him in here.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm tired of watching a piss for running game every year with running backs.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: I can't see crap and run into the back of their linemen and dance round back to just get this guy paid.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: Please.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this phone frustrates me.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no kidding, man.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: But hey, on a better note, like, for you guys, does it matter if they win and what you want to see in this game?
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, on Saturday, you and Saturday's game.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care if they win or not.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's it's preseason.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: It is, it'd be fun, right?
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: We're having a good time, but it's preseason.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: My biggest thing is come away.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: Keep the penalties limited again, because I've been very, very life almost shocked.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, well, what did we do differently this year?
- 42:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because I know it's preseason, but we couldn't do that last year in preseason.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then just avoid the injury bug.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: Whether, you know, I'm not sure how many key guys that we're going to be relying on moving forward, but just can we just dodge that just for one more week?
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to see this defense continue what we've seen from week one to week two.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: We saw it in training camp when we were up there just in it's been a theme of everything.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: So like the whole time so far has been the defense is nasty.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: The defense is bringing pressure for real.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what we've seen, whether it's been second string, third string, fourth string guys, Jerome Briggs, who is even here anymore, doesn't matter.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_02]: These guys are bought in.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_02]: You see the tenacity in the weight gym shorts has these guys firing on all cylinders.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I don't care if we win or lose, just as long as
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: We see the things we need to see, buttoned up on offense, no pre-snap penalties, limit the turnover.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: Please don't have injury.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_02]: If it's like Tyler Hunt in the fourth court, I don't give a shit about that.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_02]: But like the important players don't be turning the ball over, no fumbling, stuff like that, and just continue to bring the pressure and the heat on the quarterback, because if the backups are doing that, at that level, I can't wait to see miles with Mason Graham and Lee Collins and these guys out there together.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm totally with you there.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see the physicality and the buy-in that the back end of the roster shown in the first two games with the front end of our roster big time.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_03]: And for me, like, the wind doesn't matter, but because they laid an egg so hard last year, I want to see another wind.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: I want it three in a row.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care if it's preseason.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_03]: I want the guys to go in with some momentum.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: I want that momentum that translate into that, that bangle's game.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see
- 44:29[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see passes down the field because one of the big things about Tommy Reese is he's going to push the ball down the field.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: Got a lot of intermediate stuff going on and that just might be the vanilla of the preseason, but let's push a couple down.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_03]: Let's even throw a bomb to bond.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see if we can get him out there.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_03]: I asked, I asked this question actually in my group and everybody's kind of the same thing.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_03]: The wind doesn't really matter.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody says so, Joe America.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_03]: double came in and Colton burner, twelve.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody doesn't want injuries.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody wants to see a dial in like that's the same thing.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: Colton burner though.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_03]: Bunner sorry, twelve.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_03]: He said that no pre-stap penalties.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_03]: He wants to see all the strings through just as long as they can run the huddle in and out show efficiency and not a lot of penalties, man.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_03]: So let's see that and let's go brownies.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go brownies.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know we say the wind doesn't really matter, but at the same time, you know, these are all competitors going out.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: They're fighting for jobs or fighting.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this is their livelihood right now.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: Especially these back end guys who are trying to make a roster and everything.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, there's something to be said for a team that even when a game doesn't matter to an exhibition game still gets up and goes out there from the top of the roster to the very, very bottom.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: Can go out there and just dominate and say, now we're, we're just going to win the game.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like I know this game doesn't matter, but we're going to win because it's a game.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to win it.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't feel like we had that mentality last year.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: Last year, we were God.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_03]: No, we were dead.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: First of all.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, heads and tails better.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_03]: Like a thousand percent better than last year.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_03]: Like this is fun watching like our offensive line actually moves people ahead of the line of scrimmage, which is what you want to do.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: You know, a running backs run the ball past where the line of the online is like it's
- 46:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's fantastic.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: We're catching balls.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_03]: There are other to other positions other than tight in the running back out of the back field.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's fantastic football the watch.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, Justin, you got anything before we go.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'll see you in Cleveland guys.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Brown is there.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: So if you guys see him say hi, we always love it whenever people help and say what's up.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: Don't give me a high five, probably six, though.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: Keep your distance.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: Keep a little distance, you know.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure just don't have a little bit of, uh, a little bit of a, a little bit of a, a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's it for the Rams Preview.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: I hope everything goes well.
