- 0:00Speaker 1: Hutton and Withrow, hello again, everybody. He's Chad Withrow. I'm
- 0:02Speaker 1: Jonathan Hutton. How are you, Jonathan? How are you? Good? Wonderful, Chad.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Good.
- 0:08Speaker 3: We've got Walker Jones coming up from the Grove Collective
- 0:11Speaker 3: down there in Oxford. He's joining us in about 15
- 0:14Speaker 3: minutes or so. Straight ahead, we have the top 10
- 0:16Speaker 3: games of the college football weekend. But first, Clay Travis Law.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Accidents don't wait for good timing. One bad moment, a wreck,
- 0:23Speaker 3: a fall, a doctor who wasn't paying attention. Suddenly, you're
- 0:25Speaker 3: fighting an insurance company that does this every single day.
- 0:28Speaker 3: And that's why Clay started Clay Travis Law. He's a
- 0:30Speaker 3: Vanderbilt Law grad, and he built a firm around the
- 0:32Speaker 3: idea that people deserve someone willing to pay attention, ask
- 0:35Speaker 3: the hard questions, and push back when things don't add up.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Experienced trial attorneys who bring the fight to corporations and insurers.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Based in Nashville and trusted across the country. Car and
- 0:46Speaker 3: truck wrecks, rideshare accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability.
- 0:51Speaker 3: If you were wrong, they want to hear about it.
- 0:52Speaker 3: And here's what they promise.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Honesty.
- 0:54Speaker 1: They're not going to.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Sugarcoat your case. You'll hear what it's actually worth, not
- 0:57Speaker 3: what you want to hear. Case evaluation is free, no charge,
- 1:00Speaker 3: no pressure, no hassle. Just tell them your story. Go
- 1:02Speaker 3: to claytravislaw.com or call 877-222-4444. That's claytravislaw.com. No case is
- 1:10Speaker 3: too big or too small. Sutton and Withrow presented by

- 1:21Speaker 1: In bonus bets.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Chad, it is time for your top 10 college football games.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Of the weekend. Hutton, it is.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Let's roll with it. It is a good weekend across
- 1:30Speaker 3: college football this weekend. Let's start with game number 10.
- 1:33Speaker 3: NC State at Vanderbilt. The Doors, a three-point favorite. 12.45 p.m.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Eastern time kick on the SEC Network. The Jared Curtis
- 1:42Speaker 3: era officially begins. It took into game three, but Curtis,
- 1:47Speaker 3: the five-star freshman from Nashville Christian, officially.
- 1:50Speaker 1: The starter for Vandy. Vanderbilt's got to run the football better.
- 1:53Speaker 3: They averaged 2.6 yards per carry against Delaware. You've got
- 1:58Speaker 3: to make C.J. Bailey one-dimensional, make him beat you with
- 2:01Speaker 3: his arm and not his legs. I think Clark Lee
- 2:04Speaker 3: is going to have a good game plan in place
- 2:06Speaker 3: to do that for Vanderbilt. I think this is a good,
- 2:10Speaker 3: close game. Vandy's not looked great so far this year.
- 2:13Speaker 3: We saw NC State in that first game against Virginia
- 2:16Speaker 3: have all sorts of problems. But I think this is
- 2:19Speaker 3: Vandy's game to lose. I think they'd have to lose
- 2:22Speaker 3: this one. They're better than NC State.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They're at home. They should win this football game.
- 2:26Speaker 3: They have, so right now, the over-under I have is
- 2:29Speaker 3: 50.5 at Hard Rock Bet. And the under has hit
- 2:33Speaker 3: for Vanderbilt four of the last five games. We've certainly
- 2:35Speaker 3: seen it hit in the previous games that they've played
- 2:39Speaker 3: this season. I don't know why you wouldn't play that
- 2:40Speaker 3: again here with the freshman making his first start, unless
- 2:44Speaker 3: you think.
- 2:44Speaker 1: He's going for the bundle and they're going to put
- 2:46Speaker 1: up some points.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I think this is a process of trying to bring
- 2:49Speaker 3: the freshman along while you rely on your run game.
- 2:51Speaker 1: And I'm taking the under. It's music to Clark Lee's ears.
- 2:54Speaker 3: He is a defensive-minded head coach, so he likes hearing
- 2:57Speaker 3: about unders, I'm sure. But he loves to hear about
- 2:59Speaker 3: wins more than that. Number nine, West Virginia taking on Virginia,
- 3:04Speaker 3: the Cavs, a 10.5-point favorite, 7.30 Eastern time on ACC Network.
- 3:09Speaker 1: This is the.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Dukes-Mayo Classic being played in Charlotte, North Carolina, at Bank
- 3:14Speaker 3: of America Stadium, Hutton.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Tony Elliott is trying to get to.
- 3:17Speaker 2: 500. He is 25-26.
- 3:17Speaker 1: He is now in his fifth year at Virginia.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Wow.
- 3:22Speaker 3: He did really well last year getting Virginia to the
- 3:25Speaker 3: ACC championship game. He's done a nice job here of late.
- 3:29Speaker 3: It was a slow build at Virginia for him. That's
- 3:32Speaker 3: why he's just now inching towards. 500 on his career.
- 3:35Speaker 3: But this Virginia team looked really good against NC State.
- 3:37Speaker 3: They've looked good early in the year. It's a battle
- 3:39Speaker 3: of two SEC transfer quarterbacks, Bo Pribula for Virginia, who's
- 3:45Speaker 3: looked good so far, Michael Hawkins, Jr., the former Oklahoma
- 3:49Speaker 3: quarterback for West Virginia in this game. This is my
- 3:52Speaker 3: fight song matchup of the week. Would you like to determine, Chad,
- 3:56Speaker 3: which has the better fight song lyrics?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yes, let's hear it. For Virginia, that good old song
- 4:01Speaker 1: of Wahoo Wah. I think that's how they say it. Wahoo? Yep.
- 4:05Speaker 3: We'll sing it o'er and o'er. It cheers our hearts
- 4:08Speaker 3: and warms our blood to hear them shout and roar.
- 4:11Speaker 3: We come from old Virginia where all is bright and gay.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Let's all join hands and give a yell for the
- 4:17Speaker 3: dear old UVA. And then West Virginia. Let me go
- 4:21Speaker 3: ahead and say that's going to be very tough to beat.
- 4:23Speaker 3: West Virginia really needs to bring it. If John Denver
- 4:26Speaker 3: didn't write the West Virginia fight song many years ago,
- 4:29Speaker 3: I don't think they're beating whatever that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Was for Virginia. Ore and Ore was part of the song.
- 4:34Speaker 4: It was.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Did it go to Ore and Ore and then to
- 4:36Speaker 1: something else? That was outstanding. Let's hear West Virginia.
- 4:39Speaker 3: West Virginia. It's West Virginia. West Virginia, the pride of
- 4:43Speaker 3: every mountaineer. Come on, you old grads. Join with us,
- 4:47Speaker 3: young lads. It's West Virginia now we cheer. Now is
- 4:50Speaker 3: the time, boys, to make a big noise, no matter
- 4:52Speaker 3: what the people say, for there is not to fear.
- 4:55Speaker 3: The gang's all here, so hail to West Virginia, hail.
- 4:58Speaker 3: There is the chorus for good old West Virginia. Really good,
- 5:03Speaker 3: really good for West Virginia. Virginia gets the nod on
- 5:07Speaker 3: that one for the use of or and or and
- 5:09Speaker 3: gay in the same fight song. I think if you
- 5:12Speaker 3: can somehow tie in the word gay to go with
- 5:15Speaker 3: or and or, You're a winner, and for.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That reason, Virginia beats West Virginia in that one.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And let's face it, Virginia, a double-digit favorite in this game,
- 5:23Speaker 3: probably going to beat West Virginia on the field also.
- 5:25Speaker 3: But West Virginia has played well in Charlotte. They have
- 5:29Speaker 3: a good record when they play neutral site games or
- 5:31Speaker 3: bowl games in Charlotte.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Game number eight, North Carolina. Boy, oh, boy.
- 5:35Speaker 3: A lot swirling around that program. You've got Steve Belichick,
- 5:39Speaker 3: Bill's son. He's had to resign because of health issues.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Also some extracurricular activities, possibly with Belichick and Michael Lombardi.
- 5:50Speaker 3: They're both resigning. Is Bill Belichick in this thing for
- 5:53Speaker 3: the long haul? I doubt it. But they've got a
- 5:55Speaker 3: football game to play this weekend. They're going to Clemson,
- 5:58Speaker 3: and Clemson's got all sorts of issues too. The Tigers
- 6:00Speaker 3: only a three-point favor in this game, 11 a.m. Central
- 6:03Speaker 3: time on ESPN. Hutton, Belichick's defense leads the way. They've
- 6:06Speaker 3: yet to allow 180 yards passing in either of their
- 6:10Speaker 3: two games. And for Clemson, it's true freshman Tate Reynolds.
- 6:14Speaker 3: getting the start for an injured Chris Vazina. And now
- 6:19Speaker 3: it is North Carolina and Clemson. I don't know what
- 6:22Speaker 3: to think about this game. I feel like Clemson should
- 6:25Speaker 3: win based on personnel, but also I think that Bill
- 6:30Speaker 3: Belichick's going to have something for the freshman quarterback and
- 6:33Speaker 3: is going to make this game really, really ugly. So
- 6:36Speaker 3: when this line initially came out, I thought about taking
- 6:39Speaker 3: North Carolina just straight up to win. But then the
- 6:42Speaker 3: more and more I think about it, Clemson should win
- 6:46Speaker 3: this game, and honestly, by double digits, if we're really
- 6:50Speaker 3: being honest with this. They are, in their last eight, Chad,
- 6:53Speaker 3: 7-1 against the spread as single-digit home favorites. They have
- 6:59Speaker 3: the NFL talent. They put nine in the NFL last year,
- 7:02Speaker 3: all in the first five rounds. Let's see that talent
- 7:05Speaker 3: come to fruition here against a UNC team that doesn't
- 7:09Speaker 3: have nearly as much, especially up front in the offensive line.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Remember when Dabo, after the first loss, and the guy
- 7:15Speaker 3: asked the question, he said, you're that guy, right? You're
- 7:18Speaker 3: that guy who comes in and stirs stuff up. How
- 7:20Speaker 3: would you evaluate the roster?
- 7:23Speaker 1: The roster build is like, well, what if we only
- 7:24Speaker 1: lose one? Come to me the other year, we only
- 7:26Speaker 1: lose one.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Well, hey, the road to only losing one game, Hutton,
- 7:30Speaker 3: goes through Death Valley this weekend as UNC comes to town.
- 7:33Speaker 3: If you lose to North Carolina, mathematically, you are eliminated
- 7:36Speaker 3: from only losing one game on the season after you
- 7:39Speaker 3: lost to LSU.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So one to watch at Clemson. Game number seven, let's
- 7:43Speaker 1: go to the SEC.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Jacob Lutz and his Kentucky Wildcats in College Station to
- 7:48Speaker 3: take on the Aggies of Texas A & M. Aggies
- 7:51Speaker 3: number nine in the country. Sadly for Jacob Lutz, his
- 7:54Speaker 3: Cats allowed 32 unanswered points against Alabama.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Boy, it was great.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Everything Will Stein said, let's get booze into the stadium.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Let's get loud. Let's go crazy. They're up early on Alabama,
- 8:07Speaker 3: and the air went out of the building quickly. Their
- 8:09Speaker 3: drinking team had a football problem is what happened.
- 8:11Speaker 1: They did, yes.
- 8:13Speaker 3: In the second half, it looked like the players were drinking,
- 8:15Speaker 3: not just the fans for Kentucky. I will say this
- 8:18Speaker 3: for Will Stein. Best sales pitch about him as a
- 8:20Speaker 3: coach right now is Oregon's decline.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Without him. I mean, you want to talk about a
- 8:25Speaker 1: missing link.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Will Stein as offensive coordinator for Dante Moore certainly looks
- 8:29Speaker 3: like that's been a big drop-off so far early in
- 8:32Speaker 3: the season for Clemson.
- 8:33Speaker 1: A & M Hutton has six.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Takeaways already on the year through two games. Mike Yelko,
- 8:38Speaker 3: we know he's a great defensive schemer. He's going to
- 8:41Speaker 3: turn you over. Kenny Menchie making his third start, that's
- 8:45Speaker 3: going to be a problem, I think, on the road
- 8:47Speaker 3: for Kentucky. I think there's going to be three-plus turnovers.
- 8:50Speaker 3: In this game for the Wildcats, I like A &
- 8:52Speaker 3: M to roll in this game.
- 8:54Speaker 1: But that's our game number seven.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Kentucky 3-8 against the spread, against the SEC on the road.
- 9:01Speaker 3: It's hit the under for Kentucky on the road in
- 9:03Speaker 3: the conference seven of the last ten games. I would
- 9:08Speaker 3: follow those trends, and I would take A & M
- 9:10Speaker 3: minus 13.5. Do you remember a year ago when every
- 9:14Speaker 3: single Florida game was a referendum on Billy Napier? where
- 9:18Speaker 3: you were waiting for every game to be like, oh,
- 9:21Speaker 3: this is the one.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Oh, let's look at that one next week.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Oh, if they look bad in that game, that's where
- 9:26Speaker 3: he's getting fired, or this is what's going to happen.
- 9:29Speaker 3: His Sunshine State brethren in Mike Norvell is facing the
- 9:32Speaker 3: same situation right now in Florida State.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Florida State is at Alabama. Alabama's ranked 10th.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Alabama's a 19.5-point favorite at Hard Rock Bet. Game's at
- 9:42Speaker 3: 3.30 Eastern time on ABC. Mike Norvell this week There
- 9:46Speaker 3: were pictures of him having moving trucks out in front
- 9:49Speaker 3: of his mansion in Tallahassee. Now, it's later come out
- 9:53Speaker 3: that he had new furniture put into his place or
- 9:57Speaker 3: his wife was having something delivered.
- 9:59Speaker 1: How convenient.
- 10:00Speaker 3: When he was asked about it, he gave a non-answer
- 10:04Speaker 3: to something he could have easily answered. Now maybe he
- 10:06Speaker 3: doesn't want people in his furniture moving business. Maybe he
- 10:09Speaker 3: didn't know that his wife was having furniture delivered because
- 10:11Speaker 3: he's in the facility all day. I don't know what's
- 10:14Speaker 3: going on there, but that answer for Mike Norvell is
- 10:16Speaker 3: where he's basically, you know, I'm just focused on the
- 10:18Speaker 3: football team. And, oh, you guys saw moving trucks, huh? Oh,
- 10:21Speaker 3: that's interesting. Well, I'm just focused on the team. Like,
- 10:23Speaker 3: it was a denial that made it sound like he's
- 10:26Speaker 3: already been fired by the interim athletic director after the
- 10:29Speaker 3: AD at Florida State got fired. Hutton, this feels like
- 10:32Speaker 3: another one of those games that they get completely blown out,
- 10:34Speaker 3: which could very well happen in this game.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We're seeing the end of Mike Norvell at Florida State.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yes, and he will get paid to fail. It's just
- 10:42Speaker 3: a matter of time. The buyouts are coming. He'll be
- 10:45Speaker 3: able to buy his own fleet of moving trucks. I
- 10:47Speaker 3: don't know what the confusion is all about. There is
- 10:49Speaker 3: a difference between a furniture truck delivery, clear delivery truck,
- 10:53Speaker 3: versus a moving truck. You can tell just based on
- 10:57Speaker 3: how things are wrapped coming out of the house or
- 10:59Speaker 3: going in with a box and things like that. I
- 11:02Speaker 3: think it's pretty easy to tell, Chad. Well, and this
- 11:05Speaker 3: is what whoever took that photo. I don't know how
- 11:07Speaker 3: the photo circulated because it looked like it was from
- 11:09Speaker 3: his front yard. It was like from his front porch,
- 11:12Speaker 3: taking it outside the gate of people. Maybe it was
- 11:15Speaker 3: a neighbor. But you would think, like, you're trying to
- 11:18Speaker 3: stir it up because the neighbor could have easily just
- 11:20Speaker 3: filmed to see, oh, they're delivering furniture at that point and, like,
- 11:23Speaker 3: continue filming and not post it. But instead, they stoked
- 11:26Speaker 3: the fires of whatever's going on.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Maybe it was Russini's spy. Could be. Could be TMZ.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I didn't know Tallahassee had a big TMZ presence, but
- 11:33Speaker 3: that could also be the case. Hey, it's also poetic
- 11:37Speaker 3: that Alabama could deliver the death knell to Florida State
- 11:41Speaker 3: because it's Alabama that helped provide him with a huge buyout.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 3: If you remember, end of that 2023 season or whatever
- 11:48Speaker 3: it was, 2024, 2023, the last year of the 14 playoff,
- 11:51Speaker 3: Florida State had the great run.
- 11:52Speaker 1: They get snubbed.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Alabama sniffing around for the coach, and then he signs
- 11:57Speaker 3: that big extension with Florida State, and that's a big
- 11:59Speaker 3: reason why they have to pay him so much to
- 12:01Speaker 3: fail at this point. It's between $ 48 million and $ 51 million,
- 12:03Speaker 3: his buyout.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 12:05Speaker 3: It also goes down by like $ 2 million every week.
- 12:09Speaker 1: From here on out.
- 12:10Speaker 3: It's a weird de-escalation of buyout this season where it's
- 12:14Speaker 3: like a few hundred thousand dollars every day the buyout
- 12:18Speaker 3: goes out if they've decided to hold up. $ 45 million
- 12:21Speaker 3: if he's fired after the season. Yeah, I mean, that's
- 12:24Speaker 3: the storyline of this game. Alabama's going to win easily.
- 12:26Speaker 3: It's about the Mike Norvell watch. Game number five, terrific
- 12:30Speaker 3: game in the ACC. Number 16, SMU on the road
- 12:33Speaker 3: at Papa John's Stadium to take on number 23, Louisville.
- 12:36Speaker 3: The card's a one-and-a-half point favorite. 3.30 Eastern time. on ESPN2.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Is this game an ACC elimination game? Both teams look
- 12:44Speaker 3: really good early, and neither play Miami. So keep that
- 12:47Speaker 3: in mind. In terms of head-to-head, no matter whatever they lose,
- 12:50Speaker 3: the winner of this game is going to have that head-to-head,
- 12:52Speaker 3: and they avoid Miami to possibly reach that ACC championship
- 12:56Speaker 3: game against Miami, which, by the way, looks far and
- 12:58Speaker 3: away better than everyone else. Now, they haven't played anybody yet.
- 13:01Speaker 3: They look far and away better than everyone else.
- 13:03Speaker 1: In the ACC.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Kevin Jennings, SMU quarterback, has completed 80% of his passes
- 13:09Speaker 3: so far this year.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Wow.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Really good passing attack for Rhett Lashley. And they're not
- 13:13Speaker 3: all short passes either from the highlights I see.
- 13:15Speaker 5: No, no.
- 13:16Speaker 1: I mean, they are very, very good.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Jeff Braun, by the way, he beats Miami and James
- 13:21Speaker 3: Madison a year ago, a couple of playoff teams. Has
- 13:24Speaker 3: a propensity to lose games he shouldn't and wins the
- 13:27Speaker 3: big games at Louisville.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Is that a sign? I think so.
- 13:31Speaker 3: I like Louisville to get it done at home. I
- 13:34Speaker 3: thought they impressed against Ole Miss Hutton. I think Jeff
- 13:36Speaker 3: Brom rallies in big games like this. I think they
- 13:40Speaker 3: get that head-to-head win over SMU this weekend.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And they play well at home in the ACC as well.
- 13:46Speaker 1: That's a factor.
- 13:46Speaker 3: And SMU, by the way, the over has hit in
- 13:49Speaker 3: their games eight of the last ten matchups.
- 13:51Speaker 1: The over is 60-and-a-half. It's steep, but both teams are
- 13:55Speaker 1: going to put up points.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Something to keep in mind at Hard Rock Bet if
- 13:59Speaker 3: you're playing that game. Game number four, we go from
- 14:01Speaker 3: ACC showdown to Big 12 showdown.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Number 22, Houston.
- 14:05Speaker 3: On the road in Lubbock to take on 13th-ranked Texas Tech,
- 14:08Speaker 3: the Red Raiders, a 7.5-point favorite in this game. Tonight,
- 14:13Speaker 3: this has got to be a Timmy B special. We've
- 14:15Speaker 3: got to look up and see if Tim Brando's on
- 14:17Speaker 3: the call, but Tim Brando needs to be on the
- 14:19Speaker 3: call this game. 7 o'clock Central Time on Fox. We
- 14:23Speaker 3: can watch the end of this from Oxford, Mississippi, and
- 14:25Speaker 3: I think it's going to be a heck of a
- 14:27Speaker 3: football game. Tech has looked average so far this season,
- 14:31Speaker 3: and I did not expect that coming in. Against Oregon State,
- 14:34Speaker 3: they win 35-24. That game was close into the fourth quarter.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Tech's defense a year ago only gave up 20 or
- 14:42Speaker 3: more points twice all year.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Wow.
- 14:44Speaker 3: And that was in both losses on the season. They
- 14:46Speaker 3: gave up 24 to Oregon State this past weekend.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Not a great sign.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Connor Wigman for Houston feels like he's 35 years old.
- 14:55Speaker 3: How long have we been talking about Connor Wigman in
- 14:57Speaker 3: college football?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Forever.
- 14:59Speaker 3: We were there at A & M when he was hurt, right,
- 15:02Speaker 3: in that game, that win.
- 15:03Speaker 2: That was 2021. Yep.
- 15:06Speaker 3: And here we are in 2026, and Connor Wigman is
- 15:09Speaker 3: still a college quarterback at Houston.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Really good quarterback, too. So Houston, Texas Tech tonight.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Tech has won seven in a row in 12 of
- 15:16Speaker 3: the past 13 here against these.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Is Timmy B on the call? I hope we found that.
- 15:22Speaker 1: They didn't list it. It just says, yes, Tim Brando
- 15:25Speaker 1: is on the call. Nice. With Devin Gardner. Yes, he
- 15:27Speaker 1: is on the call tonight. You're looking live. I love it.
- 15:31Speaker 3: He's going to channel his inner Brent Musburger tonight when
- 15:33Speaker 3: he opens that show. All right. Game number three, let's
- 15:38Speaker 3: cut the BS. It's the SEC's world right now, early
- 15:41Speaker 3: season going. They are winning the battle with the Big Ten. Yes,
- 15:45Speaker 3: the Big Ten has the national titles. The SEC has
- 15:48Speaker 3: the depth. They have the power right now, and they
- 15:51Speaker 3: have the matchups this week, so much so that my
- 15:53Speaker 3: top three games are all going to be SEC games.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Game number three, Florida.
- 15:57Speaker 3: The Gators on the road at Auburn, a two-and-a-half-point favorite,
- 16:00Speaker 3: 7 o'clock Eastern time on ESPN. The Gators haven't played anybody.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Florida Atlantic and Campbell have been their two opponents. Auburn struggled,
- 16:11Speaker 3: especially offensively, in their one game against, let's face it,
- 16:15Speaker 3: a pretty average to below Baylor team in that one-point game.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Game that would have been lost had DJ Lagway been
- 16:22Speaker 3: able to lead his receiver into the end zone on
- 16:24Speaker 3: that two-point conversion. But this is a game where John
- 16:26Speaker 3: Sumrall is now going to face a team. He grew
- 16:29Speaker 3: up in Huntsville, Alabama. He could have been Auburn's coach.
- 16:32Speaker 3: He chose Florida. over Auburn, and now he goes to
- 16:36Speaker 3: Jordan-Hare Stadium to take on the Tigers. I love this matchup.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Big game for both teams sort of in the middle,
- 16:43Speaker 3: middle to maybe bottom half of the SEC. I think
- 16:46Speaker 3: for Florida and Auburn to come out on top, so
- 16:49Speaker 3: a big one, and Florida is a slight road favorite.
- 16:51Speaker 1: In this game.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Right now, Chad, at hard rock bet, over under at 51.5.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I'm taking the under in this game. I think this
- 16:59Speaker 3: is a rock fight.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I think you're right. Auburn's defense is good.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Auburn's offense has not gotten going under Alex Golish, but
- 17:06Speaker 3: that defense is really good.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Game number two.
- 17:09Speaker 3: This is maybe my favorite game of the week. It's
- 17:13Speaker 3: certainly not the biggest game of the week, but I
- 17:16Speaker 3: am very interested in Mississippi State at South Carolina. Gamecock's
- 17:20Speaker 3: a four-point favorite. You know who's not interested in it? ESPN,
- 17:25Speaker 3: because they put this game on the SEC Network at
- 17:27Speaker 3: 3.15 p.m., which is not a primetime slot for college
- 17:31Speaker 3: football games. But this game, to me, holds a lot
- 17:35Speaker 3: of significance for both teams. Kamario Taylor and Mississippi State,
- 17:39Speaker 3: I believe, are the real deal. I think they are
- 17:41Speaker 3: a team that could challenge for a college football playoff spot.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I think they're the surprise team in the SEC this
- 17:47Speaker 3: year because Kamario Taylor is an absolute dude. South Carolina's
- 17:51Speaker 3: got one of those quarterbacks, too, Lenore Sellers. So who
- 17:55Speaker 3: wins the battle of great quarterbacks? It's only a four-point spread.
- 17:59Speaker 3: South Carolina slightly favored in this game.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I can't wait.
- 18:02Speaker 3: We'll be in the Grove tailgating, probably checking out a
- 18:05Speaker 3: phone or a TV somewhere watching Mississippi State and South Carolina. Chad,
- 18:10Speaker 3: Mississippi State's 2-8 in their last 10 SEC road games.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I'm taking the Bulldogs straight up in this game to
- 18:16Speaker 1: win on the road.
- 18:18Speaker 3: That's what I would bet as well. I think Mississippi
- 18:20Speaker 3: State wins this football game, and I cannot wait to
- 18:22Speaker 3: watch it. And there's going to be a lot of
- 18:23Speaker 3: interest in that game, too, with all the Ole Miss
- 18:25Speaker 3: people checking out Mississippi State.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, for sure. As we're there getting ready for–
- 18:29Speaker 1: what are we getting ready for? The number one game
- 18:30Speaker 1: of the week. LSU and Ole Miss.
- 18:31Speaker 3: It's game number one. It might be the biggest game
- 18:34Speaker 3: of the season in the SEC. We'll see how everything
- 18:37Speaker 3: shakes out and what it looks like by the end
- 18:39Speaker 3: of the year. But there's no mistaking a main, big-time,
- 18:43Speaker 3: major event, and that's what this is.
- 18:45Speaker 1: In Oxford, Mississippi.
- 18:46Speaker 3: So much so, we're going to get done with this show,
- 18:49Speaker 3: drive down to Oxford, have a live show for you tonight,
- 18:52Speaker 3: 7 o'clock Central Time at Funky's on the Square. Hunt
- 18:56Speaker 3: and I will be there. We'll have a couple special
- 18:57Speaker 3: guests with us. It's going to be a blast. If
- 19:00Speaker 3: you're in Oxford, come say hi. Come hang out with us.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Come say hello. We're going to have a good time.
- 19:06Speaker 3: A lot more coming on that game tonight during our
- 19:08Speaker 3: live show, but I mean, we've talked about it all week.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Everyone's talked about it. It's Lane Kiffin's return tonight. Big-time matchup.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Trinidad Chambliss, who Lane Kiffin thought he was going to
- 19:18Speaker 3: get at LSU when he helped fight for him legally
- 19:21Speaker 3: to get that extra year. Instead, he stays with Pete
- 19:24Speaker 3: Golding at Ole Miss. So many different storylines. You got
- 19:27Speaker 3: Landry Kiffin starting a clothing line. Fifth year also, and
- 19:32Speaker 3: she's still a student at Ole Miss. And frat houses
- 19:34Speaker 3: are hanging banners that aren't very complimentary of Landry Kiffin
- 19:38Speaker 3: all over campus, even though she's a current Ole Miss student. Hutton,
- 19:42Speaker 3: I can't wait for this one. Can't wait to get
- 19:43Speaker 3: down to Oxford this evening. What's the scene like? We
- 19:46Speaker 3: will set the scene. Walker Jones, he joins us next.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Here on Hutton and Withrow, we are presented by Hard
- 19:51Speaker 3: Rock Bed. Good morning to you, Hutton and Withrow, with

- 20:47Speaker 3: That's Crockett, C-R-O-C-K-E-T-T-Coffee.com. Walker Jones joins us. He's with the
- 20:54Speaker 3: Grove Collective, great friend of the show. Walker, thank you
- 20:56Speaker 3: for the time, man. The anticipation for the college football playoff.
- 21:01Speaker 3: compared to the anticipation for this game? How does it
- 21:04Speaker 3: compare and how is it different?
- 21:07Speaker 4: I think it's different in the sense that I think
- 21:11Speaker 4: there was so much focus on the actual game for
- 21:14Speaker 4: the playoffs and winning a playoff game and what was
- 21:17Speaker 4: going to happen on field and in the stadium. I
- 21:20Speaker 4: think this week has been obviously consumed by a lot
- 21:23Speaker 4: of off the field stuff that's going to have nothing
- 21:26Speaker 4: to do with the outcome of the game. And really,
- 21:29Speaker 4: it's just noise when you break it down. So I
- 21:32Speaker 4: think there's a lot of extracurricular noise and storylines that
- 21:37Speaker 4: did not exist with the playoff. The playoff was simply
- 21:39Speaker 4: about us trying to win our first playoff game. the
- 21:43Speaker 4: atmosphere in the stadium, advancing to a quarterfinal game against
- 21:47Speaker 4: Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and how we would play. Unfortunately,
- 21:53Speaker 4: most of the focus has been about things that are
- 21:55Speaker 4: going to have nothing to do with winning a game
- 21:57Speaker 4: at 6.30 tomorrow and more about these storylines that have
- 22:02Speaker 4: been created with all the noise out there. I think
- 22:09Speaker 4: we've tried to, as much as we can, focus on
- 22:13Speaker 4: How do we win a football game and try to
- 22:16Speaker 4: block out those things? But it has been really hard
- 22:18Speaker 4: with all the different narratives out there. It's been a long–
- 22:23Speaker 4: you can probably hear my voice. It's been a long week,
- 22:26Speaker 4: really long week.
- 22:27Speaker 3: How has everyone in Oxford escaped this if you tried to?
- 22:32Speaker 3: It's so just in your face and all the time,
- 22:35Speaker 3: this storyline of Kiffin coming back to Oxford. How does
- 22:39Speaker 3: the team– how does the team focus on the game?
- 22:41Speaker 3: How does administration focus on that?
- 22:45Speaker 2: Easier said than done.
- 22:47Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 22:48Speaker 4: You know, the reality is this is, you know, a
- 22:50Speaker 4: little bit of like, kind of like the playoff run
- 22:52Speaker 4: last year.
- 22:53Speaker 2: This is kind of a one-of-one.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Not many people have been through this, this kind of
- 22:57Speaker 4: return with this much vitriol and hatred and You know, again,
- 23:04Speaker 4: storylines of different things out there. And and I think,
- 23:07Speaker 4: you know, what I've tried to what we've tried to
- 23:10Speaker 4: do is focus on, you know, being there for our
- 23:12Speaker 4: players to try to insulate them as much as possible
- 23:15Speaker 4: to focus on on the, you know, the first SEC
- 23:17Speaker 4: game of the year, which has been hard.
- 23:21Speaker 2: But I think our players have done a great job
- 23:22Speaker 2: and our coaches done a great job of living in
- 23:24Speaker 2: that building, living in the moment.
- 23:27Speaker 4: And here's the other thing, too, is almost, you know,
- 23:30Speaker 4: roughly half of our team was not recruited by the
- 23:33Speaker 4: previous coach and that staff or ever played for him.
- 23:36Speaker 4: And that's an advantage now in today's world of roster construction.
- 23:41Speaker 4: You have so many new faces that have come in.
- 23:43Speaker 4: And there's a lot of guys that are going to
- 23:45Speaker 4: play a lot of snaps tomorrow night that have probably
- 23:48Speaker 4: never met Coach Kiffin or the previous staff.
- 23:51Speaker 2: And so I think that helps a little bit.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Obviously, there's a core group of guys that were part
- 23:56Speaker 4: of that team last year where it probably feels a
- 23:58Speaker 4: little different. But a large part of our team, they're
- 24:02Speaker 4: really just, hey, this is just another big SEC matchup
- 24:05Speaker 4: because they weren't here and didn't play for the previous staff.
- 24:09Speaker 2: So I think that's.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Probably helped a little bit with the guys that returned
- 24:13Speaker 4: from last year to just focus on the game because
- 24:16Speaker 4: they don't really have any context of what happened nine
- 24:20Speaker 4: months ago.
- 24:21Speaker 3: More important question, Walker. Who does Briarcrest play tonight? Because
- 24:25Speaker 3: he's got a big game, I'm sure.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, we do. We got SBA tonight here in Memphis.
- 24:29Speaker 4: So, yeah, they got a big game tonight, and hopefully
- 24:33Speaker 4: they stay undefeated. And we're going to watch a little
- 24:36Speaker 4: high school football, and then we're going to hightail it
- 24:38Speaker 4: to Oxford late tonight. So it's going to be a
- 24:41Speaker 4: fun weekend kicking off with high school football.
- 24:44Speaker 1: This is Hutton's first ever trip to Oxford.
- 24:46Speaker 3: We're about to embark on over the weekend. I've hyped
- 24:48Speaker 3: it up to him appropriately about what the scene is
- 24:51Speaker 3: like and what the town is like. I think for
- 24:54Speaker 3: a lot of people– College Game Day is there. Morgan
- 24:57Speaker 3: Freeman is a celebrity guest picker. This is going to
- 25:00Speaker 3: be just a huge showcase for that as an SEC
- 25:04Speaker 3: market and as a town. How excited does that make you?
- 25:08Speaker 3: Because all the noise has been about the governor of
- 25:10Speaker 3: Louisiana saying the National Guard needs to be called and
- 25:13Speaker 3: walls and fences being built around the LSU buses. How
- 25:17Speaker 3: much of a positive do you see this as for Oxford, Mississippi,
- 25:20Speaker 3: that all this attention is coming this weekend?
- 25:23Speaker 2: Well, that's a great point.
- 25:25Speaker 4: And I think that's what we've tried to, I know
- 25:27Speaker 4: our administration, our chancellor, our athletic director, the school has
- 25:31Speaker 4: done a great job of trying to stress that. Hey, look,
- 25:33Speaker 4: we're the center of college football, really the center of
- 25:36Speaker 4: the sports world this weekend. And let's use that to
- 25:40Speaker 4: publicize all the great things that make Ole Miss and
- 25:43Speaker 4: Oxford special. Let's really try to stay away from showing
- 25:47Speaker 4: an ugly side to this and doing things that are
- 25:50Speaker 4: going to bring ridicule to a great town and a
- 25:53Speaker 4: great fan base and a great university. Let's take advantage
- 25:57Speaker 4: of the platform that we have to showcase all the
- 26:00Speaker 4: great things that people feel when they come here. Coach
- 26:03Speaker 4: Golding said it in his press conference on Monday that
- 26:06Speaker 4: when he gets asked about what would be the message
- 26:09Speaker 4: to the fans, he And the message to the fans is, hey, everybody,
- 26:13Speaker 4: when they come to Ole Miss, they have such a
- 26:14Speaker 4: great feeling, the tailgating, the Grove, the city, the tradition.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Let's don't forget that. And we've got great people. And
- 26:25Speaker 4: the one thing people always say when they come here is, man,
- 26:27Speaker 4: the people are so great.
- 26:28Speaker 1: The people are so nice.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Southern hospitality at its finest. And let's remember that. Yes,
- 26:33Speaker 4: we want to cheer loud. Do we want to be raucous?
- 26:36Speaker 4: Do we want to create an unbelievable home environment?
- 26:39Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 26:40Speaker 4: But let's focus on that. And again, that's been the
- 26:43Speaker 4: message from our coach, from our administration is, you know,
- 26:47Speaker 4: all the wonderful things that make Oxford great. I'm glad
- 26:49Speaker 4: you guys are going to get to experience it. And
- 26:52Speaker 4: I just hope it stays that way. And, you know,
- 26:54Speaker 4: that may be wishful thinking. I think there'll be unfortunately
- 26:57Speaker 4: there'll be, you know, a lot of emotion. But hopefully
- 27:03Speaker 4: the rivalry and the competition will win out. Instead of,
- 27:07Speaker 4: you know, anything ugly that's going to happen off the
- 27:09Speaker 4: field or in that stadium. And that's what I, you know,
- 27:12Speaker 4: stress to our fans and for all of us is,
- 27:15Speaker 4: you know, we got a lot of positivity to display.
- 27:18Speaker 4: And it's rare you get an opportunity with game day
- 27:20Speaker 4: and the national focus being on.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Your town and on your program.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Think about what this means for for Golding as well.
- 27:29Speaker 3: You know, like everyone's been talking about Kiffin and there's
- 27:32Speaker 3: another coach involved.
- 27:33Speaker 2: That's right.
- 27:34Speaker 3: And if you wake up Sunday morning and Ole Miss
- 27:36Speaker 3: gets the win, that means he's.
- 27:38Speaker 1: A part of that national spotlight.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think it's, you know, for Pete, I
- 27:43Speaker 4: know he's gone about it in his normal routine and Again,
- 27:48Speaker 4: there's a lot of questions about the familiarity of going
- 27:52Speaker 4: against that offense and them going against our defense for
- 27:55Speaker 4: those six years or for Pete the last four years.
- 27:59Speaker 4: How is that going to play in the whole thing?
- 28:03Speaker 4: I think he's done a great job of compartmentalizing. Hey, look,
- 28:07Speaker 4: we've got to coach this. Yes, there's familiarity. Yes, both
- 28:12Speaker 4: sides know each other very well. But it's a big
- 28:14Speaker 4: moment for Pete, and it's a big moment for our
- 28:17Speaker 4: program to show that we can sustain success even through
- 28:22Speaker 4: a transformational change like a head coach leaving. And you
- 28:25Speaker 4: always try to tell yourself, hey, our program's bigger than
- 28:28Speaker 4: any one person, but you never really know it until
- 28:31Speaker 4: it gets tested. It got tested in the playoff run
- 28:34Speaker 4: last year. We passed that test. Now we have another
- 28:38Speaker 4: opportunity to prove that that our program not only can
- 28:42Speaker 4: survive but flourish and sustain its national relevancy, even with
- 28:48Speaker 4: a change in leadership. And I think that Pete's his
- 28:52Speaker 4: own guy. He's going to make it his own program.
- 28:55Speaker 4: And this is another opportunity to show everybody that we
- 28:58Speaker 4: can sustain success.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You think Levitt's going to play?
- 29:03Speaker 2: I mean.
- 29:04Speaker 4: That, you know, that didn't surprise me one bit. I,
- 29:07Speaker 4: you know, you know, I saw miraculously practice yesterday.
- 29:12Speaker 1: The injury chart.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Those of us that are old.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Enough to remember the time we put 26 guys on
- 29:18Speaker 4: injury report before a game and pretty much all of
- 29:21Speaker 4: them ended up playing. We did not lose a lot
- 29:24Speaker 4: of sleep or spend a lot of time worrying about
- 29:27Speaker 4: the injury report.
- 29:27Speaker 2: We kind of felt like that was coming at some point.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Doubtful to questionable the next day. We called it on
- 29:34Speaker 3: the show. You could have predicted that pretty easily. By Saturday,
- 29:37Speaker 3: he'll be full go, I'm sure. I know off going
- 29:40Speaker 3: to be full go also. Walker, we can't wait to
- 29:42Speaker 3: get down there, man. We can't wait to get to
- 29:44Speaker 3: Funky's tonight. Thanks for all your help. We're going to
- 29:46Speaker 3: let you save your voice a little bit. I know
- 29:48Speaker 3: you're going to be using it a lot more over
- 29:50Speaker 3: the weekend as this thing goes along, but hey, congrats
- 29:53Speaker 3: on everything you've accomplished with the Grove Collective, everything that
- 29:56Speaker 3: program has accomplished, and this is a great showcase for
- 30:00Speaker 3: the city of Oxford and for that program and the
- 30:03Speaker 3: sustainability of it. So best of luck over the weekend.
- 30:06Speaker 3: We're looking forward to getting down there.
- 30:07Speaker 2: You guys have a safe trip down. Enjoy Oxford. Enjoy Funkies.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Have you one of the daiquiris there and Lee Harris
- 30:15Speaker 4: and our crew at Funkies is going to take great
- 30:17Speaker 4: care of y'all. There'll be a great crowd and look
- 30:19Speaker 4: forward to seeing you guys.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Hottie tight.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Appreciate you. Thanks, Walker. Walker Jones, the best. Dixieland Delight
- 30:25Speaker 1: Friday night. I like it, Chad.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Coming up 7 o'clock tonight in Oxford. Can't wait to
- 30:33Speaker 3: get that going. Stay tuned. More coming here on Hunting

- 31:34Speaker 3: been out West. And Cousins, he loves In-N-Out, but Foley writes,
- 31:40Speaker 3: but is Cousins an In-N-Out burger?
- 31:44Speaker 2: No.
- 31:46Speaker 1: No.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Kirk Cousins is Fuddruckers. And Matt Foley, again, very, very
- 31:52Speaker 3: good job with this. More importantly, what burger best represents
- 31:56Speaker 3: every NFL starting quarterback? So he writes, last night, I
- 32:00Speaker 3: jumped into the lab and developed the quarterback burger equivalency system,
- 32:05Speaker 3: the QBES, using six universally accepted measurements, quality, consistency, style,
- 32:14Speaker 3: regional devotion, public perception, and likelihood that something catastrophic happens. Chad,
- 32:21Speaker 3: there are three additional rules to this. Every quarterback gets
- 32:24Speaker 3: a different restaurant. The burger must represent the quarterback, not
- 32:29Speaker 3: just where the quarterback plays, or the city where he plays.
- 32:33Speaker 3: And Joe Flacco is included because Joe Flacco is eternal.
- 32:39Speaker 3: You noted this and sent it around.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I read through it. I thought it was fantastic.
- 32:43Speaker 3: And it made me think about the ones I would
- 32:45Speaker 3: include just regionally for us that.
- 32:47Speaker 1: You and I have certainly....
- 32:51Speaker 3: Dined in over the years. But the quarterback comparison is
- 32:54Speaker 3: very good across the league here. Very good job by
- 32:58Speaker 3: Matt Foley. I'm jealous of the idea and the write-up
- 33:01Speaker 3: that he did. This is very good at Sporting State.
- 33:05Speaker 3: I did one one time. I think it was SEC
- 33:06Speaker 3: coaches as Yellowstone characters from the show when it was
- 33:10Speaker 3: popular and went through that. I am a sucker for
- 33:13Speaker 3: anything like this that can compare something in sports to
- 33:16Speaker 3: with a product or a show or an.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Actor or anything like that.
- 33:22Speaker 3: I like looking at comps at all times. If I
- 33:26Speaker 3: see something online that's a comp between two people or
- 33:29Speaker 3: two things that aren't equivalent in their industry, I always
- 33:33Speaker 3: enjoy it.
- 33:34Speaker 1: And this is great.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Some of my highlights from this. Aaron Rodgers as the
- 33:38Speaker 3: Burger King Whopper. The Whopper once stood toe-to-toe with the
- 33:41Speaker 3: Big Mac at the center of America's fast food consciousness.
- 33:44Speaker 3: It still has passionate defenders, but corporate strategy has gotten
- 33:46Speaker 3: a little wonky. If you're looking to start an argument,
- 33:49Speaker 3: talk about the Whopper. And what's great about this is
- 33:52Speaker 3: the McDonald's Big Mac is Patrick Mahomes in this argument.
- 33:56Speaker 3: So it said, once stood toe-to-toe with the Big Mac.
- 33:59Speaker 3: I love that one. Maybe my favorite, though, is Kyler Murray.
- 34:04Speaker 3: His equivalent burger is the White Castle Slider. And he
- 34:07Speaker 3: just says, look how tiny and cute. with Kyler Murray,
- 34:12Speaker 3: which is incredible. This is really well done by Matt Foley. Also,
- 34:16Speaker 3: shout out Matt Foley with a great name, matching the
- 34:20Speaker 3: motivational speaker Matt Foley, Chris Farley's character on SNL. So, Chad,
- 34:25Speaker 3: what was the name of the burger joint we always
- 34:27Speaker 3: stop at on the way back from Indianapolis?
- 34:29Speaker 1: Freddy's. Freddy's, yes. Freddy's, and there's a Freddy's on here.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Is there?
- 34:34Speaker 3: I didn't notice that. Yes, yes, let me find it.
- 34:36Speaker 3: I was just scanning and saw it. I just forgot
- 34:39Speaker 3: the name. I couldn't find it earlier. Absolutely, that would
- 34:42Speaker 3: be on my list as well. Here you've got the pharmacy.
- 34:46Speaker 3: There's a few that are just regional or very specific
- 34:50Speaker 3: to Nashville that always come to mind for me. Jared Goff, Hutton,
- 34:53Speaker 3: is a Freddy's original double. Freddy's does not need your respect.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Freddy's will calmly make you a burger, and it will
- 34:59Speaker 3: be good, is the description. I would vouch for that
- 35:02Speaker 3: with Freddy's. Never a bad experience with a Freddy's burger.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I'm more in and out than Whataburger. I think Whataburger
- 35:09Speaker 3: and Sonic are very much the same. I know that's
- 35:13Speaker 3: sacrilegious to some people out there. Yeah, I don't get
- 35:15Speaker 3: the Whataburger love, honestly. There was one in Mount Juliet
- 35:19Speaker 3: that closed down because no one went to it. It
- 35:20Speaker 3: was right next to our Little League Park. And people
- 35:23Speaker 3: would go next door to somewhere else. Whataburger opened like five,
- 35:26Speaker 3: six years ago here?
- 35:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:27Speaker 1: It wasn't that long ago.
- 35:30Speaker 3: It's not great. This is a great throwback here. Gino Smith.
- 35:36Speaker 3: is a Hardee's Frisco burger. And the quote underneath it says,
- 35:40Speaker 3: do they still make those? About both Geno Smith and
- 35:44Speaker 3: the Hardee's Frisco burger. The Frisco burger was terrific. Ben,
- 35:48Speaker 3: I haven't had a Hardee's burger in a long time.
- 35:51Speaker 3: I've had the Hardee's sausage biscuit gravy. But I have
- 35:57Speaker 3: not had a burger from Hardee's in a long, long time.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Is Wendy's represented?
- 36:01Speaker 1: It has to be. Wendy's is in here. I'm not
- 36:05Speaker 1: seeing where it is.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Any Atlanta Falcons starting quarterback is a McDonald's plain hamburger.
- 36:10Speaker 3: That's really good. Where is Cam Ward? What is he
- 36:14Speaker 3: linked to?
- 36:15Speaker 1: I'm curious.
- 36:16Speaker 3: It's got to be just, Cam Ward is a checkers,
- 36:18Speaker 3: big Buford. We have checkers all the time in Knoxville.
- 36:21Speaker 3: When we, we had one close to our apartment, my
- 36:23Speaker 3: junior year of college at UT, but we would go,
- 36:27Speaker 3: cause it was so cheap. You could get like eight hamburgers,
- 36:30Speaker 3: you know, five bucks or whatever. It was the fries too,
- 36:33Speaker 3: that made the burger too. I always thought that was
- 36:35Speaker 3: a great, uh, cop. Um, look, I, I'm a sucker
- 36:39Speaker 3: for just a creature of habit here, but give me like, uh,
- 36:44Speaker 3: Five guys.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Give me Sonic. I'm okay with all that. Chad, locally though,
- 36:50Speaker 1: if you're ever.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Coming through the Nashville or mid-state area of Tennessee, Jiffy
- 36:54Speaker 3: Burger in Manchester.
- 36:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about.
- 36:57Speaker 3: You and I went there on a trip recently. That
- 37:01Speaker 3: would be a comp if we're just doing Titans players
- 37:04Speaker 3: instead of NFL quarterbacks. But Jiffy Burger is legit. Burger
- 37:09Speaker 3: Republic is also what would be on my list.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Really, really good. There's one of those out here in
- 37:14Speaker 1: Mount Juliet also.
- 37:15Speaker 3: I would also say Gabby's Burgers and Fries, an old-school
- 37:19Speaker 3: place that I really.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Like in Nashville.
- 37:23Speaker 3: We're talking about all these burgers. It's making me hungry
- 37:25Speaker 3: for a burger, so I must ask the question. We
- 37:28Speaker 3: are about to embark on a road trip, and a
- 37:30Speaker 3: Hutton & Withrow road trip always features a stop at where?
- 37:34Speaker 2: Arby's.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Always an Arby's stop, right? We get in the vehicle
- 37:38Speaker 3: together and we're immediately hungry for Arby's. We're going to
- 37:40Speaker 3: have to ask Jacob Lutz what he prefers.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Also, but.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I don't know if we're going to go Arby's now
- 37:46Speaker 3: or a burger place, having read all these burgers right now.
- 37:49Speaker 3: But because Arby's has the meats and because I just
- 37:52Speaker 3: heard that Jacob Lutz is a huge Arby's guy, you
- 37:55Speaker 3: can get a burger at Arby's too if you want.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I'm sure there might be the Arby's burger on here
- 37:59Speaker 1: as an option as well. for an NFL. Yes.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Jacoby Brissett. We can have a Jacoby Brissett, which is
- 38:05Speaker 3: an Arby's deluxe burger. I bet you didn't know that
- 38:08Speaker 3: Arby's sells hamburgers. Nobody plans to order an Arby's hamburger.
- 38:11Speaker 3: You do so because your other options aren't available. Brissett
- 38:14Speaker 3: is a very rich man based on this principle. Well said,
- 38:18Speaker 3: Matt Foley. And he just convinced us we are definitely
- 38:21Speaker 3: stopping at Arby's.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Well done. JT, your, your pick of, of all the
- 38:25Speaker 1: burgers would be which?
- 38:29Speaker 5: Thinking about that one, guys, I, Probably, you know, Hutton,
- 38:33Speaker 5: you mentioned Sonic. I've just never had a bad burger
- 38:36Speaker 5: at Sonic. Very consistent, tater tots.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 38:40Speaker 5: Yeah, the way they do the pickles and the mustard
- 38:42Speaker 5: and the onions, it's hard to beat. Back to Arby's, too,
- 38:47Speaker 5: the cheese sticks are underrated. That's a good go-to. I mean,
- 38:51Speaker 5: they've got the cheese sticks always solid.
- 38:54Speaker 1: It's so good.
- 38:56Speaker 3: I stopped at an Arby's on the way to the
- 38:57Speaker 3: high school football game last week. And I nearly ordered
- 39:00Speaker 3: the mozzarella sticks to go. I love those things so much.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Great call.
- 39:04Speaker 3: We're going to Bauer Arby's when we're on the road.
- 39:07Speaker 3: But we're getting on the road so early, Chad. We
- 39:09Speaker 3: may be hitting Arby's as soon as we hit Oxford.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Do they do breakfast at Arby's now? Yeah, I think
- 39:15Speaker 1: they do. Can we do a breakfast and lunch stop
- 39:18Speaker 1: at Arby's? We just stay through.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Could we do the rare Arby's duo on one road trip?
- 39:22Speaker 3: You stop and get the breakfast option there and then
- 39:24Speaker 3: stop for lunch? I may get the half pound, what
- 39:27Speaker 3: they used to call the big Montana.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Do you remember?
- 39:30Speaker 5: That?
- 39:30Speaker 3: The Big Montana roast beef sandwich? I may get the
- 39:33Speaker 3: half pound beef and cheddar. I cannot not get a
- 39:36Speaker 3: beef and cheddar at Arby's. Every time I go, like
- 39:38Speaker 3: I want to get something different and I can't do it.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I got to get the beef and cheddar. It's so good. Man,
- 39:44Speaker 1: I can't wait. And then Lutz is in on this too.
- 39:47Speaker 1: So it's awesome. Fantastic. I love how he chimed in.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I love Arby's. Big Arby's guy.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Don't we all?
- 39:54Speaker 1: Last time we were there, we recreated the Spurrier photo.
- 39:57Speaker 1: We did. Yes, we did.
- 40:00Speaker 3: After he won a big game in South Carolina, he's
- 40:02Speaker 3: at the drink machine, and he's got the shades on.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Good one by Jacob. Culver's is the most underrated burger,
- 40:08Speaker 3: he says. You're a Culver's fan, Chad. Huge Culver's fan.
- 40:11Speaker 3: The way JT describes Sonic as never being disappointed, I
- 40:14Speaker 3: feel that way about Culver's. Any burger I've ever ordered there,
- 40:17Speaker 3: I've always enjoyed it. Um, Culver's also has the cheese curds,
- 40:21Speaker 3: very similar to the mozzarella stick at Arby's always delivers.
- 40:26Speaker 3: I usually get the cheese curds instead of fries.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Um, my arteries don't love that, but I do. Um, yes, it's,
- 40:32Speaker 1: I'm a big fan.
- 40:33Speaker 3: It's honey with row. We are presented by hard rock
- 40:35Speaker 3: bet coming up. Profit like it's hot. Tony with row
- 40:39Speaker 3: presented by hard rock bet right now. Uh, it's just
- 40:42Speaker 3: a reminder on Fridays, happy hour, uh, Friday, happy hour.

- 41:05Speaker 3: It's time to prop it like it's hot, Chad. I
- 41:07Speaker 3: can't wait to follow your lead on the props. And
- 41:11Speaker 3: I've got some good ones this week as well.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Let's prop it like it's hot, shall we?
- 41:16Speaker 3: Yes. I'm going a little college and NFL this week.
- 41:19Speaker 3: I am taking the over in Wake Forest and Miami
- 41:24Speaker 3: this week. I think, you know, heck, Miami, the way
- 41:27Speaker 3: they're playing, they might reach the over by themselves.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Of 55 and a half in this game. Wake Forest
- 41:32Speaker 3: has a good offense also. Wake Forest is just in
- 41:35Speaker 3: an overtime shootout with Purdue this past week. I really
- 41:38Speaker 3: like Wake Forest and Miami to score a bunch of points.
- 41:42Speaker 3: That game, by the way, is tonight? Yes, tonight, Friday night,
- 41:47Speaker 3: 6.30 on ESPN. Miami's yet to play on a Saturday,
- 41:53Speaker 3: to my knowledge. They've played either Thursday or Friday night,
- 41:55Speaker 3: their first three games of the season. And give me
- 41:57Speaker 3: Derrick Henry to score a touchdown. We talked about him
- 42:00Speaker 3: earlier today. Three touchdowns in week one. I like the
- 42:03Speaker 3: chances of him getting one against the Saints this weekend.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Not only that, just scoring, but he has scored the
- 42:09Speaker 3: first touchdown of the game 11 times. since the 2024 season.
- 42:14Speaker 3: That's the most among active NFL running backs. So if
- 42:16Speaker 3: you're just going based on chances of him being the
- 42:19Speaker 3: first touchdown scorer, throw a little that way too, separate,
- 42:23Speaker 3: and enjoy that prop.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Chad, I like it. I'm going to follow you there.
- 42:27Speaker 1: I've got two as well this week.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Give me the over anytime touchdown for Dallas Goddard.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Here's why.
- 42:39Speaker 3: The Eagles are playing the Titans. Goddard has caught eight
- 42:42Speaker 3: touchdown passes in the first half since the 2025 season.
- 42:45Speaker 3: That's the most among NFL tight ends. He's also caught
- 42:48Speaker 3: 10 touchdown passes in the red zone last season. That's
- 42:51Speaker 3: tied for the most among tight ends right now in
- 42:54Speaker 3: the National Football League. So give me Goddard anytime touchdown
- 42:57Speaker 3: and over one and a half touchdown passes for Caleb
- 43:01Speaker 3: Williams as the Bears host the Vikings. Caleb Williams has
- 43:04Speaker 3: hit the touchdown pass over in his last six games
- 43:07Speaker 3: at home. I'm taking those odds, especially with the numbers
- 43:12Speaker 3: that they put up last week. So give me Caleb
- 43:15Speaker 3: Williams to throw at least two touchdown passes. Dallas Goddard's
- 43:18Speaker 3: going to score a touchdown against the Titans in what's
- 43:20Speaker 3: going to be Lincoln Financial Field South.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I cannot wait to see if our bets pay off
- 43:29Speaker 1: this weekend. I've got to stop, too. I like this
- 43:31Speaker 1: one on our profit like it's hot.
- 43:33Speaker 3: I've got to stop with just adding a game that
- 43:36Speaker 3: I'm not confident in. to the bet last night I
- 43:39Speaker 3: felt great about the Bills minus five and a half
- 43:42Speaker 3: that happened easily and then just to sprinkle a little
- 43:45Speaker 3: on top I'm like oh let's look at Pitt Syracuse
- 43:48Speaker 3: and I went with my guy Fran Brown in Syracuse
- 43:50Speaker 3: to cover nine and a half did not happen they
- 43:52Speaker 3: lose by two touchdowns I don't know if you saw
- 43:53Speaker 3: but Fran Brown did the old school like middle school
- 43:56Speaker 3: flinch at the ref at one point he was arguing
- 44:00Speaker 3: with him he gave him a little like quick flinch
- 44:02Speaker 3: to see if he backed away like we would do
- 44:03Speaker 3: back in middle school.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Things not going great for Syracuse so far this season.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Hey, one extra one. I haven't played this because they
- 44:11Speaker 3: didn't have the kicker props out whenever I made this
- 44:14Speaker 3: bet at Hard Rock. Kyme Fairbairn, the kicker for the Texans.
- 44:19Speaker 3: He's hit the field goals over in 13 of his
- 44:21Speaker 3: last 16 games. Just take the over. The Texans are
- 44:24Speaker 3: going to kick a lot of field goals. So if
- 44:26Speaker 3: it's one and a half, if it's two, take the
- 44:28Speaker 3: over with Kyme Fairbairn. The Texans are going to kick
- 44:30Speaker 3: some field goals. And he normally makes them. It's just attempts, though.
- 44:35Speaker 3: So get out there and... Prop it like it's hot
- 44:38Speaker 3: with us across the NFL and some of the money
- 44:41Speaker 3: lines across college football. I like your pick with the
- 44:44Speaker 3: over for Miami as well. Yeah, again, I'm seriously considering
- 44:48Speaker 3: they might almost get there by themselves in this game
- 44:51Speaker 3: the way they've been scoring points. We've got SEC lines, too,
- 44:54Speaker 3: to show you for those looking to make some plays
- 44:57Speaker 3: this weekend and let it roll with the hard rock bet.
- 45:02Speaker 3: LSU at Ole Miss is the big one. LSU favored
- 45:05Speaker 3: in that game. I think I would lean Ole Miss
- 45:07Speaker 3: money line, honestly, if I was going to bet anything.
- 45:11Speaker 3: And we're the same on South Carolina and Mississippi State.
- 45:14Speaker 3: I think that's another one where the wrong team is
- 45:16Speaker 3: favored this week. I really like Mississippi State possibly to
- 45:20Speaker 3: get it done in that game. Vanderbilt, I was iffy
- 45:24Speaker 3: on this when this week started. Vanderbilt hasn't been good
- 45:29Speaker 3: defensively either. You know, like some– Some teams that should
- 45:34Speaker 3: be moving the football on them have been moving the football.
- 45:37Speaker 3: This is the week, though, that gets their attention, quite frankly.
- 45:41Speaker 3: And maybe with the freshmen starting, maybe things start to
- 45:44Speaker 3: solidify a bit for this team.
- 45:46Speaker 1: They need this.
- 45:48Speaker 3: They need to come out and have a good showing
- 45:49Speaker 3: against NC State. They should not lose to this team.
- 45:51Speaker 3: They're much better on the field than NC State. So
- 45:54Speaker 3: I would take Vanderbilt and lay the points. But I
- 45:56Speaker 3: was iffy on it earlier in the week. And I
- 45:58Speaker 3: think Texas A & M wins and covers the spread
- 46:01Speaker 3: against Kentucky at home. Yeah, I think that's a boring game.
- 46:05Speaker 3: That's my prediction. I think that's a very suffocation-like game
- 46:09Speaker 3: of Texas A & M' s defense as the game goes along.
- 46:12Speaker 3: A couple turnovers will turn it. It'll feel like a
- 46:15Speaker 3: two-score game the whole way through. And I think A &
- 46:17Speaker 3: M probably covers doing that. Great thing about this weekend,
- 46:21Speaker 3: I am only counting four cupcake-type games already in week three, right?
- 46:27Speaker 1: Tennessee a 35.5-point favorite. Missouri 27.5 over Troy.
- 46:32Speaker 3: Oklahoma, 22.5, not a gigantic line, not much more than
- 46:36Speaker 3: Alabama and Florida State. And then Texas coming off the
- 46:38Speaker 3: big win facing UTSA. So a good week in the
- 46:44Speaker 3: SEC for games because every other game, either close point
- 46:47Speaker 3: spreads or conference matchups. I realize these are better teams
- 46:51Speaker 3: than the opponents they've recently faced, but not that much better.
- 46:55Speaker 3: How is Texas and Tennessee, how are those spreads not larger?
- 46:59Speaker 3: When I see some of the other spreads they started
- 47:01Speaker 3: with the season, and they easily put those numbers up.
- 47:06Speaker 3: I tend to think that's a– what does.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Vegas know here?
- 47:08Speaker 3: 30-and-a-half? That should be the first-half spread. You're talking about
- 47:13Speaker 3: Texas 30-and-a-half. Tennessee's 35-and-a-half. Yeah, I'd say that should be
- 47:15Speaker 3: the first-half spread. Then you've got– was it 36-and-a-half for
- 47:18Speaker 3: Tennessee and Kennesaw?
- 47:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Look, I think you're factoring into those two teams meet
- 47:25Speaker 3: the following week.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Yeah, looking ahead a little bit.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Well, not even just looking ahead, just like you're going
- 47:31Speaker 3: to try to get guys out quick.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:33Speaker 3: You know, like you want to get a three-score lead
- 47:36Speaker 3: and start to work your backups. You know, Tennessee in
- 47:39Speaker 3: the first week, like their rushing stats defensively don't look
- 47:43Speaker 3: great because their third and fourth string gave up 128
- 47:46Speaker 3: yards in the fourth quarter, rushing to Furman, you know,
- 47:49Speaker 3: in the first week.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Other than that, it's.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Been okay, but the numbers get a little skewed because
- 47:53Speaker 3: of mop-up duty where you're not playing all that well.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Kennesaw State won Conference USA a year ago, so they're
- 48:00Speaker 3: not a bad group of five team. They also just
- 48:03Speaker 3: got whipped by Georgia State at home. So I don't
- 48:07Speaker 3: know what this year's Kennesaw State team is, is my point.
- 48:10Speaker 3: They've got Ricky Collins, who's a former LSU quarterback, as
- 48:13Speaker 3: their quarterback now at Kennesaw State. But yeah, I don't
- 48:17Speaker 3: know that they're going to have a lot for Tennessee
- 48:19Speaker 3: in this game. I'm always hesitant to bet those just
- 48:22Speaker 3: because of what I just said. Yeah, Tennessee and Texas
- 48:24Speaker 3: I feel like are 40-plus points better than those teams,
- 48:28Speaker 3: but how do they play it once they get ahead?
- 48:32Speaker 3: You're not concerned about it at all, but also how
- 48:35Speaker 3: does the game go? You're trying to get guys out quicker.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Tennessee lost their starting tight end for the season in
- 48:41Speaker 3: the Georgia Tech game, and Ethan Davis, who already had
- 48:42Speaker 3: two touchdowns on the year.
- 48:44Speaker 1: So that's part of it.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Speaking of a bad weekend of college football, how about
- 48:48Speaker 3: the Big Ten's weekend? Are you ready for the cumulative
- 48:51Speaker 3: opponents of big 10 teams this weekend? Yes. Portland state,
- 48:56Speaker 3: Kent state, Buffalo, Akron, Eastern Michigan, Southern Illinois, UTEP, Western Kentucky,
- 49:04Speaker 3: Northern Iowa, North Dakota, Eastern Washington, Notre Dame.
- 49:10Speaker 1: That's a good one. Colorado.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Pretty good. Virginia tech. And then the other games are
- 49:15Speaker 3: conference game. Purdue, UCLA, USC is at Rutgers.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Uh, this week.
- 49:20Speaker 3: That's a bad week in the Big Ten.
- 49:22Speaker 1: That's a lot.
- 49:23Speaker 3: You talk about the cupcake weekend and the SEC in November.
- 49:26Speaker 3: That's as bad as any of those November weekends I've
- 49:28Speaker 3: ever seen. Yeah, it's homecoming for everyone. Literally everyone this
- 49:31Speaker 3: week across the Big Ten.
- 49:32Speaker 1: It's fair week, Chad. It's county fair week everywhere.
- 49:35Speaker 3: It's McMinnville-Warren County fair week across the Big Ten.
- 49:39Speaker 1: You get a good burgers. Hey, we've got some good
- 49:42Speaker 1: food headed our way, I'm sure, this evening.

- 49:57Speaker 3: biggest game, most anticipated game of the season going into it.
- 50:00Speaker 3: As LSU visits Ole Miss, let's do it, man. Let's
- 50:04Speaker 3: get to Oxford, shall we?
- 50:06Speaker 2: We shall.
- 50:08Speaker 3: I'm gassing up the truck, Hutton. I'm coming to pick
- 50:10Speaker 3: you up. I'm picking Lutes up. We're driving the four
