- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you, guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkeral Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day if you become the
- 0:25Speaker 1: Hockral energy you want to attract. Hello you, guys, welcome
- 0:29Speaker 1: back to another episode. I am still feeling not the greatest.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I still have a very raspy voice, guys. I had
- 0:39Speaker 1: no voice after I recorded that episode last week. Like
- 0:42Speaker 1: I literally from talking on the mic for like forty
- 0:45Speaker 1: minutes and then I don't know, I went out for
- 0:48Speaker 1: my girlfriend's birthday that night, and I woke up the
- 0:50Speaker 1: next morning with no voice. And I had no voice
- 0:54Speaker 1: basically almost the entire weekend. If you saw some of
- 0:57Speaker 1: my videos, was zach on TikTok this weekend then, and
- 1:00Speaker 1: you could probably tell that my voice was kind of
- 1:02Speaker 1: raspy and kind of off because I had no voice
- 1:05Speaker 1: after recording the episode. I am very much a productive individual,
- 1:09Speaker 1: Like I love just getting shit done. I love you know,
- 1:12Speaker 1: going groat shopping, getting my workouts done, you know all that.
- 1:15Speaker 1: And last week, with being sick, I really had to
- 1:18Speaker 1: take a step back from you know, doing my workouts,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and you know, I was very much a homebody last
- 1:23Speaker 1: weekend with not really going anywhere, Like I went to
- 1:26Speaker 1: the States with Zach this weekend, which was fun, but
- 1:29Speaker 1: I really didn't do much the entire week. And I
- 1:32Speaker 1: think I had to do that because obviously, when you're sick,
- 1:35Speaker 1: it's definitely important to listen to your body and rest,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and sometimes I don't like to listen to my body
- 1:41Speaker 1: and I like to just do my normal things that
- 1:44Speaker 1: I usually do. But I didn't do Spincoat all week,
- 1:46Speaker 1: to be honest, because it's such an intense cardio session
- 1:50Speaker 1: that with me, I have really bad asthma. So when
- 1:53Speaker 1: I get sick, I get like a really bad chest
- 1:55Speaker 1: cough and just like really bad congestion and anyways, so
- 2:00Speaker 1: my asthma just gets really bad when I'm sick, and
- 2:04Speaker 1: I could not.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Do intense cardios.
- 2:06Speaker 1: So I did my first Spinco class yesterday and it
- 2:10Speaker 1: was good. I don't think I was ready to get
- 2:12Speaker 1: back on the bike, but it felt good to definitely
- 2:15Speaker 1: get back into it. But I don't have my next
- 2:17Speaker 1: class until I think later this week, so I'm trying
- 2:22Speaker 1: to really just yeah do low impact and just more
- 2:26Speaker 1: chill workouts. I've just been really like laying low these
- 2:30Speaker 1: past two weeks, and I feel like it is what
- 2:32Speaker 1: it is. But I'm not that kind of person at all.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Like I'm the kind of person that likes to get
- 2:36Speaker 1: out of the house, do stuff, keep myself busy, all that,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and I feel like it's just been like very chill.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And again it's I know it's important for me to
- 2:44Speaker 1: listen to my body and just like do those things,
- 2:46Speaker 1: but sometimes it's hard.
- 2:47Speaker 2: If you guys get it, you get it.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But anyways, I hope you guys are having an amazing
- 2:51Speaker 1: week so far. Happy November, Merry Christmas. Obviously I'm kidding,
- 2:56Speaker 1: but I am fully in the holiday, Like I am
- 3:00Speaker 1: so excited for the holiday season. Everybody's already putting up
- 3:04Speaker 1: their Christmas trees, which I fricking love to see, like amazing,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I have not.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Done so yet.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I am trying to get all my Christmas to Core
- 3:13Speaker 1: shopping done first before we start decorating the house because
- 3:17Speaker 1: last year, I think what we did is I put
- 3:19Speaker 1: my Christmas tree up, did not do the decorations until
- 3:22Speaker 1: later in the month because I went wedding dress shopping
- 3:25Speaker 1: this time last year, which oh my gosh crazy. So
- 3:30Speaker 1: this year, I'm like, Okay, I actually have the time
- 3:32Speaker 1: to do everything in one shot. I don't have to
- 3:34Speaker 1: separate it. So I'm actually going to do a whole series.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I'm going to do a four day series of us,
- 3:40Speaker 1: you know, resetting the house, putting up the tree, and
- 3:43Speaker 1: putting up all the Christmas to Core all that, because
- 3:45Speaker 1: putting up Christmas decorations is a lot of freaking work.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And I think that's why I like to put the
- 3:49Speaker 1: decorations up so early, is because you put so much
- 3:51Speaker 1: effort in decorating the house that I don't want it
- 3:54Speaker 1: up for just four weeks. I want it up for
- 3:56Speaker 1: at least two months. So that's the way I see it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: So we're going to be decorating starting this week, which
- 4:03Speaker 1: I'm very excited about. I also want to give you
- 4:05Speaker 1: guys some inspiration. I had a few messages saying I'm
- 4:07Speaker 1: waiting for you to put your Christmas to core up
- 4:09Speaker 1: so I have inspo for my decorations. So I also
- 4:12Speaker 1: feel like it's my job to put Christmas decorations up
- 4:15Speaker 1: early for you guys to gain some inspiration for your
- 4:18Speaker 1: decor So I've been trying to explain that to Zach
- 4:21Speaker 1: and he's like, okay, fine, like whatever for your job.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I get it.
- 4:24Speaker 1: He's all about like waiting till after Remembrance Day, which
- 4:28Speaker 1: I'm usually on board with. However, Remembrance Day falls on
- 4:32Speaker 1: a Monday this year, so I want to get them
- 4:33Speaker 1: up on the weekend before that. So we made a
- 4:37Speaker 1: compromise and that's how we're doing it. But anyways, that's
- 4:41Speaker 1: when we're going to be decorating. So I'm very excited
- 4:43Speaker 1: and I cannot wait to show you guys all the
- 4:45Speaker 1: decorations I got. So, as I said, I went to
- 4:47Speaker 1: the States this weekend and picked up a few things
- 4:50Speaker 1: at Target for some Christmas decor went to TJ Max,
- 4:54Speaker 1: just did all the fun stops and yeah, so I
- 4:57Speaker 1: really want to talk about some holidays because going into November,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I think everybody is thinking about the holidays. Let's be honest,
- 5:05Speaker 1: people who live in the States, I'm sure you guys
- 5:07Speaker 1: are thinking about Black Friday, Thanksgiving. And I also feel
- 5:12Speaker 1: like I can get away with it as a Canadian
- 5:14Speaker 1: because everyone's like, oh, why is everybody putting Christmas decorations
- 5:17Speaker 1: up before Thanksgiving? I'm like, ooh, I'm Canadian. I've already
- 5:20Speaker 1: had Thanksgiving. I'm all set, I'm ready to go. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: have no excuses. I can put my tree up into
- 5:26Speaker 1: core up whenever I want. So Anyways, I just feel
- 5:29Speaker 1: like there's a lot of people that I see saying that, like, hey,
- 5:31Speaker 1: we need to wait until after Thanksgiving, and I'm like, well,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I'm done, so I don't have to worry about that.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I think this episode's really going to be about just
- 5:39Speaker 1: some mood boosters and things to look forward to this month.
- 5:41Speaker 1: There is so much exciting things happening, and I think
- 5:45Speaker 1: everybody can take a little piece of advice from this episode,
- 5:48Speaker 1: especially for people who have been feeling a bit down
- 5:50Speaker 1: or just trying to get back into a positive mindset.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna share some mood boosters that might help you out,
- 5:57Speaker 1: as well as things that you can look forward to
- 5:59Speaker 1: this month that I think everybody can agree on. I'm
- 6:01Speaker 1: going to talk about two personal things that I'm looking
- 6:03Speaker 1: for to this month, and that is one car shopping.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I think I mentioned it in a previous episode where
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm actually selling my car. I've had my car now
- 6:13Speaker 1: for almost five years. She's great, we love her, except
- 6:18Speaker 1: I'm due for an upgrade. I just yeah, I'm just
- 6:20Speaker 1: you know, I'm just ready for a change. So I
- 6:24Speaker 1: took pictures and got my dad to detail the entire
- 6:26Speaker 1: car this weekend and we're gonna post some stuff up
- 6:30Speaker 1: on Auto Trader or whatever it's called. Right now, I'm
- 6:34Speaker 1: looking at a land Rover, the range Drover of a Lar,
- 6:38Speaker 1: but there's two other cars that I had in mind
- 6:40Speaker 1: that I want to test drive before I confirm with
- 6:43Speaker 1: the range Drover, so I'm going to probably drive them
- 6:45Speaker 1: this week. I'm looking at an Audi Q seven and
- 6:49Speaker 1: then a Mercedes. I think it's the Glee or GLA,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I cannot remember, but they're all SUVs. I just I'm
- 6:57Speaker 1: an SUV girl. I like my Master to CXI. That's
- 6:59Speaker 1: what I currently and I'm just in need of upgrading
- 7:03Speaker 1: and just getting another SUV. So that's kind of what
- 7:06Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to this month, is you know, having
- 7:08Speaker 1: a new car, which is exciting, and yeah, saying goodbye
- 7:12Speaker 1: to my white Mazda. And then another thing I'm looking
- 7:15Speaker 1: forward to is something that I'm planning for the very
- 7:18Speaker 1: first time, and I wanted to bring it to your
- 7:21Speaker 1: attention because it's something that I think you guys are
- 7:23Speaker 1: going to be really excited about. I cannot obviously share
- 7:26Speaker 1: the details yet, but it's something that's coming in the
- 7:28Speaker 1: new year, and it's my first ever brand collaboration. I'm
- 7:33Speaker 1: actually partnering with a company who reached out to me
- 7:35Speaker 1: to do a collaboration, and I'm basically designing and doing
- 7:39Speaker 1: everything with this company and then we're launching it together
- 7:42Speaker 1: as a collaboration.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So I still.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Cannot believe that this is happening, because I feel like
- 7:49Speaker 1: this is something I've wanted to do for such a
- 7:51Speaker 1: long time, and this is something that you guys are
- 7:53Speaker 1: going to love, Like, I just know you guys are
- 7:55Speaker 1: going to freak out when it comes out. And this
- 7:58Speaker 1: week on my Instagram stories, make sure to follow me
- 8:00Speaker 1: if you don't, I'm going to be sharing some sneak
- 8:03Speaker 1: peaks of design that I really want your input on,
- 8:06Speaker 1: so helping me with the color schemes and yeah, just
- 8:10Speaker 1: overall feel of the product. So definitely make sure to
- 8:14Speaker 1: stay tuned for that because it's going to be so
- 8:17Speaker 1: freaking exciting. I literally cannot believe we're doing this in
- 8:20Speaker 1: such a short period of time too, Like we're launching
- 8:23Speaker 1: in January, which is a very quick turnaround time because
- 8:26Speaker 1: we just started.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Talking about this like three weeks ago.
- 8:29Speaker 1: We've actually been talking about this for the past six months,
- 8:31Speaker 1: but with the wedding, obviously that was my priority and
- 8:34Speaker 1: I didn't have the time to make this partnership a priority.
- 8:37Speaker 1: But now that the wedding's done, we're taking a full
- 8:40Speaker 1: dive into the planning process right now, and the girls like,
- 8:43Speaker 1: let's do a quick turnaround time and just release it
- 8:45Speaker 1: in January, So that is the plan. So anyways, I
- 8:49Speaker 1: just wanted to bring that to your attention, and that's
- 8:51Speaker 1: something I'm really looking forward to this month, is just
- 8:53Speaker 1: designing and collaborating with this brand. So yeah, definitely make
- 8:57Speaker 1: sure to stay tuned and help me with designing my
- 9:01Speaker 1: first product launch. But let's get into today's episode. Let's
- 9:04Speaker 1: talk about some things to look forward to this month
- 9:07Speaker 1: and just ways to boost your mood if you're feeling down.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So let's talk about things to look forward to. I
- 9:12Speaker 1: mentioned Christmas. Obviously, everyone's talking about the holiday season right now.
- 9:15Speaker 1: That is the most trending topic. I'm talking about it,
- 9:19Speaker 1: everyone else is talking about it. I'm very excited to
- 9:22Speaker 1: have my house decorated and also just get into some
- 9:25Speaker 1: holiday festivities. One thing that I always love to do
- 9:28Speaker 1: around this time of the year to get me in
- 9:30Speaker 1: that festive mood is obviously go Christmas shopping. So if
- 9:34Speaker 1: you're feeling like you want to get into the Christmas spirit,
- 9:37Speaker 1: grab a friend, grab your sister, grab your partner, go
- 9:41Speaker 1: to home sends together, go to home Goods, go wherever
- 9:44Speaker 1: you can target to go. Do a bit of Christmas shopping.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Maybe grab a little sweet drink at Starbucks or your
- 9:50Speaker 1: local coffee shop. Get yourself in the festive mood by
- 9:54Speaker 1: getting a little sweet treat and then doing some Christmas shopping,
- 9:57Speaker 1: even if it's as small as just getting a Christmas
- 9:59Speaker 1: can or a mini Christmas tree, or a little wreath
- 10:03Speaker 1: for your desk or just your space in your room.
- 10:05Speaker 1: That is the best way to get yourself into the
- 10:07Speaker 1: Christmas mood. I'm telling you right now, entering one store,
- 10:11Speaker 1: seeing everything decorated, seeing all the Christmas to core out,
- 10:14Speaker 1: I feel like it's a winter wonderland, Like I feel
- 10:17Speaker 1: so excited. To walk into a store like that gets
- 10:19Speaker 1: me so excited for this season, and it immediately puts
- 10:22Speaker 1: me into the Christmas spirit. So definitely get some Christmas
- 10:25Speaker 1: shopping done, and let's be honest, if you do Christmas
- 10:27Speaker 1: shopping in November, I feel like a lot of the
- 10:29Speaker 1: good stuff is out right now. I feel like if
- 10:31Speaker 1: you wait till December, usually all the good stuff is
- 10:33Speaker 1: sold out. So going earlier is definitely the best call
- 10:37Speaker 1: in my opinion. I'm you guys know me. I'm a
- 10:39Speaker 1: home decor hoarder. Like I love buying a home to
- 10:42Speaker 1: core stuff, So whenever it's Christmas decor and it's out,
- 10:46Speaker 1: I try and get it as early as I can.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Like this year, I went before Halloween, which I never do,
- 10:51Speaker 1: but I know a lot of the good stuff is
- 10:53Speaker 1: usually out before the holiday season, so that is the
- 10:56Speaker 1: best way to do it. So definitely put that on
- 10:58Speaker 1: your list. To do this is to do a little
- 11:01Speaker 1: bit of Christmas shopping with your loved one. Another thing
- 11:03Speaker 1: to look forward to is putting up your Christmas tree.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Everybody, let's talk about it.
- 11:07Speaker 1: If you're putting it up now, great, If you're putting
- 11:09Speaker 1: it up at the end of the month, that's great too. Now.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I do know some people that wait.
- 11:13Speaker 1: To put their Christmas tree up not until December, which
- 11:16Speaker 1: is fine, But guys, if you're putting in the effort
- 11:19Speaker 1: to put up a tree, decorate it. You know, it
- 11:22Speaker 1: takes about two hours realistically to do all that. You
- 11:25Speaker 1: might as well have it in the house for an
- 11:26Speaker 1: entire month. And let's be honest, the house always feels
- 11:29Speaker 1: cozier and it looks better with the Christmas tree. If
- 11:32Speaker 1: I could have my Christmas tree up all year round,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I would.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Now.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I know there is some people that also do real
- 11:36Speaker 1: Christmas trees, and I know they don't last that long,
- 11:39Speaker 1: So you know what, that's fine if you want to
- 11:41Speaker 1: wait till December to get your real Christmas tree, that
- 11:44Speaker 1: works too. I have a fake one just because I
- 11:45Speaker 1: grew up with a fake Christmas tree in my family,
- 11:48Speaker 1: and Zach also grew up with a fake Christmas tree,
- 11:51Speaker 1: So for us, it's just convenient. We have it in
- 11:53Speaker 1: the basement. We can put it up whenever. And there's
- 11:56Speaker 1: some really good fake Christmas trees out there, like that
- 11:58Speaker 1: home Depot one that's gone viral. I want that one
- 12:01Speaker 1: so badly, but I promised myself I wouldn't.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Buy it until the next house.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Another thing to look forward to in November is Black
- 12:08Speaker 1: Friday sales. There is going to be so many sales
- 12:12Speaker 1: happening within the next few weeks, So if there's anything
- 12:14Speaker 1: on your wish list or just things you've been eyeing, wait,
- 12:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, guys, I am coughing non stop here.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 12:20Speaker 1: If you guys hear my voice changing every few times,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to edit the coughing out. As I
- 12:25Speaker 1: was saying, wait to buy anything in your shopping cart
- 12:27Speaker 1: until the Black Friday sales start. I have so much
- 12:30Speaker 1: in my shopping cart at so many different places like Aritzia,
- 12:34Speaker 1: the Gap, Jay Crew, Reformation, Simons, like just a lot
- 12:38Speaker 1: of random spots, to be honest, and I'm like, why
- 12:40Speaker 1: am I going to buy something when realistic this is
- 12:42Speaker 1: going to be on sale in two weeks, So put
- 12:45Speaker 1: those items aside for two weeks and just pray that
- 12:49Speaker 1: they'll still be in stock by the time their sales
- 12:52Speaker 1: going on.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Because, let's face it, we love a good sale.
- 12:55Speaker 1: We love saving money, So try your best to wait
- 12:58Speaker 1: until the November sales start. I also love to get
- 13:01Speaker 1: Christmas shopping done around that time of the year, with
- 13:04Speaker 1: just getting gifts for my parents, my sister, Zach, friends,
- 13:08Speaker 1: other family members, anything like that. I feel like it's
- 13:10Speaker 1: best to capitalize on the sale season and yeah, just
- 13:15Speaker 1: get everything that you can in that one shot. Another
- 13:18Speaker 1: thing that I'm looking forward to is I'm excited to
- 13:21Speaker 1: see the first snowfall. I can't believe I just said that,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but I am actually really excited. Usually it happens in November,
- 13:27Speaker 1: usually the end of November or beginning of December, but
- 13:30Speaker 1: I feel like seeing the first snowfall really solidifies that, Yep,
- 13:34Speaker 1: Christmas is here, and it gets me in the mood
- 13:37Speaker 1: to just like, get out the Christmas movies, get out
- 13:39Speaker 1: the Christmas music. All that is something I always look
- 13:42Speaker 1: forward to around this time of the year. It just
- 13:44Speaker 1: makes me immediately think of cozy season, and that's obviously
- 13:48Speaker 1: what we're in. Another thing that I always look forward
- 13:49Speaker 1: to around this year is cozy nights in. I feel
- 13:52Speaker 1: like I definitely stay in more around the colder months
- 13:55Speaker 1: and don't go out as much, which I'm not complaining about.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I love a good cozy night in and just watching
- 14:01Speaker 1: our favorite TV show or favorite movie. Right now, we've
- 14:03Speaker 1: been watching One Tree Hill. It has been the best
- 14:06Speaker 1: thing ever. If you have not watched One Tree Hill,
- 14:08Speaker 1: you need to get on it. I have not watched
- 14:10Speaker 1: it in like twelve or thirteen years. It's been a
- 14:13Speaker 1: very long time, so it feels like I'm watching it
- 14:15Speaker 1: for the first time right now, and oh my god,
- 14:17Speaker 1: something so shocking happened last night. I forgot to talk
- 14:19Speaker 1: about that, but I'm not gonna give it away to
- 14:21Speaker 1: someone who hasn't watched it. But anyways, I forgot this happened,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and I was in complete shock for like an hour
- 14:27Speaker 1: after it happened. And we're on season three. I'm like
- 14:31Speaker 1: waiting for Zach to come home just to play the
- 14:33Speaker 1: first episode of the night. For us, we usually get
- 14:35Speaker 1: about three to four episodes in per night because we're
- 14:38Speaker 1: just that locked in and it's been the best thing ever.
- 14:40Speaker 1: If you want to watch it, it's on Amazon Prime.
- 14:43Speaker 1: We love it, We're obsessed with it, and I'm telling
- 14:45Speaker 1: you right now, if you have not seen it, you
- 14:47Speaker 1: need to watch it. So yeah, so cozy nights in
- 14:49Speaker 1: watching your favorite show together, just really enjoying the cozy
- 14:53Speaker 1: time of the year. But as much as I love
- 14:55Speaker 1: staying and I do also love the holiday season for
- 14:58Speaker 1: dressing up, going out these usually Christmas parties, going on
- 15:02Speaker 1: New Year's Eve parties, all that. Just things to dress
- 15:06Speaker 1: up for any occasion is always a fun thing to do.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Putting more makeup on, finding cute outfits. I also love
- 15:12Speaker 1: dressing up around this time of the year because it's
- 15:14Speaker 1: usually a lot of sparkly things, a lot of glitter, like,
- 15:17Speaker 1: just a lot of things that are really out there
- 15:19Speaker 1: just in terms of outfits. So I'm very excited to
- 15:22Speaker 1: attend some Christmas festivities.
- 15:25Speaker 2: So those are things to look forward to this month.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I think it's a lot of Christmas related things, but
- 15:30Speaker 1: I think that's just the reality. I think everyone gets
- 15:32Speaker 1: in the Christmas mood around this time of the year.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Fall is still a thing, but I think personally for me,
- 15:38Speaker 1: not like I'm overfall, but I think my mindset right
- 15:41Speaker 1: now is prepping for the holidays and just getting the
- 15:44Speaker 1: house all decorated and all that. So for me, I'm
- 15:47Speaker 1: already in the Christmas mood and I'm ready to take
- 15:50Speaker 1: on the holiday season. But i know some people are
- 15:53Speaker 1: still very much in the fall pumpkin mode until their
- 15:57Speaker 1: Thanksgiving is over. I blame that as a Canadian, having
- 16:00Speaker 1: Thanksgiving in October versus November makes me want to start
- 16:03Speaker 1: decorating earlier because we've already had our fall festivities and Thanksgiving,
- 16:09Speaker 1: so now I'm just immediately thinking of Christmas. But I
- 16:11Speaker 1: also want to talk about some ways to boost your
- 16:13Speaker 1: overall mood in terms of if you're feeling down or
- 16:16Speaker 1: if you're having a hard week, what are some ways
- 16:18Speaker 1: that you can boost your mood and just feel better
- 16:21Speaker 1: going into the week or the day. For me, when
- 16:23Speaker 1: I'm feeling down or when I'm feeling low, I feel
- 16:26Speaker 1: like the best way to boost my mood is to
- 16:28Speaker 1: call a friend or a family member. I love calling
- 16:31Speaker 1: people that you know, I may have not talked to
- 16:32Speaker 1: in a while, like long distance friends, or calling my sister,
- 16:36Speaker 1: or calling my mom, doing a FaceTime call. You know,
- 16:39Speaker 1: sometimes just talking it out with someone is the best
- 16:41Speaker 1: way to do it. And I love being able to
- 16:44Speaker 1: have friends and family members that are willing to take
- 16:47Speaker 1: the time to chat with me. So if you're feeling down,
- 16:50Speaker 1: call a friend, call a family member, call your partner,
- 16:54Speaker 1: being able to debrief with them. Maybe just talk to
- 16:57Speaker 1: them about something that you might be going through that
- 16:59Speaker 1: might be feel really really good, just to get off
- 17:01Speaker 1: your chest. Another thing that I find always helps boost
- 17:04Speaker 1: my mood is just getting outside more. I feel like
- 17:06Speaker 1: if I've stayed indoors for a long period of time,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I get in my head a bit and I think
- 17:12Speaker 1: negatively when obviously we don't want that. So I feel
- 17:15Speaker 1: like going outside really helps me clear my mind. It
- 17:19Speaker 1: helps me just kind of like reset in a way.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So I always just love to book workout classes, you know,
- 17:25Speaker 1: force myself out of the house by going to get
- 17:27Speaker 1: things done like grocery shopping or you know, productive things
- 17:31Speaker 1: that I have to do throughout the day, like a
- 17:32Speaker 1: little to do list of running errands, or even just
- 17:36Speaker 1: going outside for a walk. The little things like that,
- 17:38Speaker 1: I feel like help me so much. Writing things down,
- 17:41Speaker 1: the things that you need to get done, I feel
- 17:43Speaker 1: like it boosts my mood because it's things that you
- 17:45Speaker 1: get to look forward to each day, right, So getting
- 17:48Speaker 1: out of the house, getting these things done, stepping outside,
- 17:51Speaker 1: I feel like is definitely good for your mood. Another
- 17:54Speaker 1: great thing when you're feeling down is writing out your
- 17:56Speaker 1: emotions and how you're feeling about a situation. So get
- 17:59Speaker 1: out your journ, free your mind. I'm more of a speaker,
- 18:02Speaker 1: so that's why I say call a friend or a
- 18:03Speaker 1: family member when I'm like in a negative head space.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I feel like talking it out with someone really helps
- 18:08Speaker 1: me out. But some people feel like writing it out
- 18:11Speaker 1: is the best way to allow yourself to free your
- 18:13Speaker 1: mind and just get out what you want to get out.
- 18:15Speaker 2: So that's why journaling.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Is so so important, is to be able to write
- 18:20Speaker 1: out whatever you're feeling or just like how you can
- 18:24Speaker 1: create more of a positive mindset for yourself. This other
- 18:26Speaker 1: one is like something that I never realize is something
- 18:29Speaker 1: that I always do that actually boosts my mood every
- 18:32Speaker 1: single time, and that is playing with a pet.
- 18:34Speaker 2: So playing with your cat, playing with.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Your dog, Like for me, I feel like there's a
- 18:38Speaker 1: little bursts of moments where I play with Freddie throughout
- 18:41Speaker 1: the day and he's so happy. It makes me happy
- 18:44Speaker 1: seeing him happy, and that right there is just a
- 18:47Speaker 1: little boost of happiness. And I don't think I ever
- 18:51Speaker 1: talked about this, but I think one reason why Zach
- 18:54Speaker 1: and I actually got Freddie is because I personally felt
- 18:57Speaker 1: very lonely at home with no animal in the house,
- 19:01Speaker 1: and I grew up with dogs. Zach grew up with dogs.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I feel like an animal is not talked about enough
- 19:06Speaker 1: about how it's helped your mental health because you know
- 19:10Speaker 1: you're alone a lot of the time, if you do
- 19:11Speaker 1: work from home, or if you you know are just
- 19:15Speaker 1: at home a lot, and you feel like you don't
- 19:16Speaker 1: have any company around you. And having Freddie is truly
- 19:21Speaker 1: the best thing for me personally because I have something
- 19:24Speaker 1: to take care of, I have something to look forward to.
- 19:26Speaker 1: He brings me so much happiness, and I don't know,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I just feel like having him around is definitely something
- 19:33Speaker 1: that's helped me working from home and just having my
- 19:35Speaker 1: own little bestie with me having Freddie but still being
- 19:38Speaker 1: able to have a bit of freedom by doing things
- 19:41Speaker 1: that I love, like going to workout classes and all
- 19:43Speaker 1: that is nice. But yeah, I feel like people don't
- 19:46Speaker 1: talk about dogs or cats enough because I do think
- 19:49Speaker 1: they are an important part of our life and they
- 19:52Speaker 1: do bring so much happiness. And yeah, having Freddie in
- 19:57Speaker 1: my home and just constantly being with him every day
- 20:00Speaker 1: really does bring me so much joy. And yeah, I
- 20:03Speaker 1: feel like so much purpose.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I know that sounds kind of funny, but like.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I love being able to take care of him and
- 20:10Speaker 1: have him as my little fur baby. Another thing to
- 20:12Speaker 1: boost your mood is cleaning your space. This is something
- 20:16Speaker 1: I always try and do every Sunday, which you guys know,
- 20:19Speaker 1: even if it's just a decluttering or reorganizing any little
- 20:23Speaker 1: step of cleaning your space is such a mood booster.
- 20:27Speaker 1: You have no idea. Like the difference I feel after
- 20:29Speaker 1: cleaning the entire house is insane, Like my mood went
- 20:33Speaker 1: from zero to one hundred real fast just from making
- 20:35Speaker 1: the effort of actually tidying up my space. Now, I
- 20:38Speaker 1: feel like there's a lot of people that struggle with
- 20:40Speaker 1: the motivation of getting up to clean their space. And
- 20:42Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, the key thing for me
- 20:45Speaker 1: to get my butt off the couch and actually clean
- 20:48Speaker 1: is turning on music or a podcast. Works every single
- 20:51Speaker 1: time I tell my Alexa. I'm not gonna say Alexa
- 20:53Speaker 1: right now because she's might hear me, But if you
- 20:56Speaker 1: say that, or a song or a podcast that you
- 20:58Speaker 1: want to listen to play it in the background. It's
- 21:00Speaker 1: a distraction with the noise in the back. It's something
- 21:03Speaker 1: to focus on. But also being able to clean at
- 21:05Speaker 1: the same time is your motivation to get shit done.
- 21:08Speaker 2: So that is my.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Key to motivation for wanting to clean my space and
- 21:14Speaker 1: boost my mood is.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Turning on a podcast or some of my favorite music.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Another thing you can do to boost your mood is
- 21:20Speaker 1: plan something fun for the week so you have something
- 21:22Speaker 1: to look forward to.
- 21:23Speaker 2: I always love.
- 21:25Speaker 1: To find ways to plan something on the weekend or
- 21:27Speaker 1: a week night. So last weekend, Zach and I decided
- 21:30Speaker 1: to go to the States, so that was something I
- 21:32Speaker 1: was very much looking forward to. This weekend, I'm going
- 21:35Speaker 1: car shopping with my dad. That's something I'm looking forward to.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Another thing I'm looking forward to is decorating the house
- 21:40Speaker 1: for Christmas. So putting things in your mind that you
- 21:44Speaker 1: want to get done and adding it as a task
- 21:46Speaker 1: of things to do for the week is definitely going
- 21:49Speaker 1: to allow you to look forward to something. Maybe you
- 21:50Speaker 1: haven't gone on a date with your partner in a
- 21:53Speaker 1: long time. Have a little date night with him and
- 21:55Speaker 1: go out. Maybe you're wanting to reorganize a room in
- 21:59Speaker 1: your home. Take the time set that aside. Do that
- 22:02Speaker 1: on the weekend, Like write things down that you want
- 22:04Speaker 1: to get done before the end of the year, and
- 22:06Speaker 1: then plan it out from now till the end of
- 22:08Speaker 1: December of how you're going to get those things done.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Or maybe there's things on your vision board or your
- 22:14Speaker 1: bucket list that you're like, oh, I never did that,
- 22:16Speaker 1: Like I need to get that done. So you need
- 22:18Speaker 1: to find time in your schedule to make sure you
- 22:20Speaker 1: get that stuff done. So I think planning fun things
- 22:24Speaker 1: is so crucial to boosting your mood, and taking the
- 22:28Speaker 1: time just to make it happen is also important. So definitely, definitely,
- 22:33Speaker 1: definitely take a look at your vision board, take a
- 22:35Speaker 1: look at your bucket list, think of things that you've
- 22:37Speaker 1: been wanting to do that you haven't done in a while,
- 22:39Speaker 1: and make it a priority this weekend or before the.
- 22:41Speaker 2: End of the year.
- 22:42Speaker 1: It will definitely be something that you'll look forward to
- 22:44Speaker 1: at the end of the week to get done, and
- 22:47Speaker 1: we'll just overall boost your mood. The last thing that
- 22:49Speaker 1: I always find boost my mood is cooking something that
- 22:52Speaker 1: I love or baking your favorite sweet treat. I'm a
- 22:55Speaker 1: big dinner girl. I love cooking different recipes, trying new
- 22:59Speaker 1: recipes out. I find it it's fun. It's something to
- 23:01Speaker 1: look forward to, trying something new, trying something different, or
- 23:05Speaker 1: making your favorite sweet treat. Like doing something like that.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It's such a small little task, but I'm telling you
- 23:10Speaker 1: right now, it's truly a boost of endorphents right there
- 23:13Speaker 1: by just boosting your mood and it just makes you
- 23:15Speaker 1: feel so good doing those little things. I know, those
- 23:17Speaker 1: little things don't seem like a lot, but it really
- 23:21Speaker 1: does add up when you do those things, and it
- 23:23Speaker 1: really just completely boosts your mood completely into more of.
- 23:27Speaker 2: A positive mindset.
- 23:28Speaker 1: So yeah, I hope this helps you out if you're
- 23:30Speaker 1: feeling down, or if you're feeling like you needed a
- 23:32Speaker 1: bit of a mood booster, or just things to look
- 23:34Speaker 1: forward to this month. There is so much to look
- 23:37Speaker 1: forward to this November. I think a lot of it
- 23:39Speaker 1: has to do with getting into the holiday season, Thanksgiving,
- 23:43Speaker 1: sales events, planning cozy nights, in going out with your
- 23:48Speaker 1: partner or your friends. Like I think that was kind
- 23:50Speaker 1: of like the highlight of this episode was really just
- 23:52Speaker 1: looking forward to things coming for this month and obviously December,
- 23:56Speaker 1: I think for me, I'm looking forward to going into
- 23:58Speaker 1: the new year. I think for me, I've realized that
- 24:00Speaker 1: I always think one step ahead. So December, I usually
- 24:03Speaker 1: think about going into the new year like, Okay, how
- 24:05Speaker 1: am I going to make this the best year yet?
- 24:07Speaker 1: What are the stets that I need to take to
- 24:09Speaker 1: make it the best year yet? So I'm always one
- 24:12Speaker 1: step ahead, and I think that's crucial to doing that.
- 24:15Speaker 1: So for me, obviously I'm thinking a lot of December
- 24:18Speaker 1: thoughts and a lot of people's head but in my head,
- 24:20Speaker 1: November is the best time of the year because we're
- 24:22Speaker 1: talking about Christmas, We're getting in the holiday spirit. In
- 24:25Speaker 1: December for me is yes, it's Christmas, but I'm thinking
- 24:28Speaker 1: about the next step, which is getting into the new
- 24:31Speaker 1: year and achieving my goals for twenty twenty five. Anyways,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. I'm sorry that
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm still not one hundred percent. I tried to do
- 24:39Speaker 1: my best and I didn't want to miss an episode

- 24:44Speaker 1: wanted to make sure to provide an episode for you guys.
