• 11:21
Speaker 1: The vehicles they work on are typically dear to them for various reasons, and fun trinkets or doodads For example, key chains with images of that vehicle or low hanging fruit, so to speak, cool banners or large prints of their ride Just ask the year-making model, they'll be happy to tell you Make any shop feel more homey, assuming that they have wall space.

Speaker 1: I mean, I've always had stuff on the walls in my garage.
• 11:50
Speaker 3: Yep, you do too, I do your homey.

• 12:11
Speaker 1: Even if you choose a neon clock so they know when to come inside for dinner, I help solve a problem.

• 12:24
Speaker 1: Lack of space, dirty benches or gloves that just don't get the job done?

• 13:03
Speaker 1: Snag a premium pair of safety glasses or by a custom earplug kit or a nice Set of noise reducing over the ear muffs, you know.

  Speaker 4: Yeah, we're gonna.
• 16:48
Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about it during that program and we got a white elephant coming up, so could be stuff going on there.
• 16:53
Speaker 1: Well, that white elephant, that white elephant, that that's our deal.
• 16:56
Speaker 2: That's our deal, yeah our Christmas lunch, but it could be correlated, you don't know.
• 17:02
Speaker 1: Really I thought we were gonna go to loopies?
• 17:04
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but Never mind.
• 17:08
  Speaker 1: I guess I'm lost.
• 17:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, we're going to loopies for Food.
• 17:13
Speaker 3: Lost, but he's making good time exchanging the white elephant.
• 17:16
Speaker 2: Oh, the white elephant, yeah, yeah the white elephant stuff yeah, it could be cars related also.
• 17:20
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what you do right there Mars right.
• 17:23
Speaker 1: See that camera that boys were working on.
• 17:25
Speaker 1: I saw that I was watching you need to go and talk to him and find out what it is.
• 17:29
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's, it's, it's expensive, I can tell you that for sure.
• 17:32
Speaker 1: Well, that shouldn't be any problem for you.
• 17:34
  Speaker 1: No, it's.
• 17:35
Speaker 1: It's that kind of expensive.
• 17:36
Speaker 1: No no yeah, yeah, we'll go ahead.
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: There's no, there's not a problem, that's all about you.
• 17:42
Speaker 1: Just push them off the ramp.
• 17:46
Speaker 4: Yeah, be cheaper to hire him probably.
• 17:50
Speaker 3: Well and he's filming that Ferrari for sure and he's a young guy who wouldn't?
• 17:54
Speaker 3: Reminds me your son.
• 17:57
Speaker 2: David, david's sons are that age, yeah.
• 18:02
Speaker 1: Well, one in particular, ryan they want Christmas still in high school infinity what they want.
• 18:09
Speaker 3: Christmas stuff for their infinity.
• 18:11
Speaker 3: Hey dad, Can you buy me a new set of wheels and tires?
• 18:14
Speaker 1: I Never finished telling you the story about why I had to buy new wheels for the Corvette.
• 18:21
Speaker 4: So the Somebody found the alarm.
• 18:28
Speaker 1: Uh-huh, that's the rest of these is going off so the left rear wheel Was leaking air and took it up to discount.
• 18:40
Speaker 1: They dismounted it and decided that it wasn't the tire that was leaking.
• 18:48
Speaker 1: It wasn't the valve stem that was leaking.
• 18:50
Speaker 1: It was the actual wheel itself that had corroded on the inside the bead of the tire.
• 18:58
  Speaker 3: Not surprised.
• 18:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, I had no clue.
• 19:01
Speaker 1: I've never heard of such a thing.
• 19:02
Speaker 1: Well, I taught to the guy at Cal chrome.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: I thought I'm gonna just send them out there, get the wheels fixed, have them re-chromed, blah, blah, blah.
• 19:12
Speaker 1: Well, as it turns out that you know if you ever watched them put new tires on your rims, they have a wick that they dip in the water and the right to lubricant.
• 19:27
  Speaker 3: It's a soap.
• 19:27
Speaker 1: It's supposed to be a little bit yeah well, that moisture gets in there and it doesn't get out, and it has corroded the bead on the inside of the wheels.
• 19:37
Speaker 1: They seal it in there, so it seals the moisture in there.
• 19:41
Speaker 1: I didn't think of that, yeah, and so the way to really Do it, the right way, is use a lubricant, and now I've noticed that discount is actually using this looks like white grease lubricant to remount the tire, but at any rate it has corroded the wheels.
• 20:01
Speaker 1: I think the wheels on it are probably I don't know, I'm guessing 10 years old or so.
• 20:05
  Speaker 3: Oh, at least.
• 20:06
Speaker 1: And so it just not worth getting them chrome.
• 20:09
  Speaker 1: So I went.
• 20:09
Speaker 1: Have you ever tried to find a set of wheels that are what you really want?
• 20:15
  Speaker 3: Too many choices.
• 20:16
Speaker 1: How do you know what you want?
• 20:17
Speaker 1: Because once you start looking at all the wheels that fit your car, you go oh my.
• 20:23
Speaker 3: God, now they're whistling at your wheels.
• 20:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you know what is attractive to you?
• 20:31
Speaker 1: But there's so many choices for my Corvette, it's unbelievable.
• 20:36
Speaker 1: I mean, it's infinity and beyond.
• 20:41
Speaker 3: So I thought, got out to JC Whitney and picked out a pair.
• 20:45
Speaker 1: I did find a set of wheels and I'm not going to tell you anything more about them, but I have them ordered.
• 20:53
Speaker 1: They should arrive today, and I ordered them out of New York.
• 20:58
Speaker 1: I found them on eBay.
• 21:00
  Speaker 1: They're brand new.
• 21:01
Speaker 1: Okay, there's a dealer in New York that carries the widow.
• 21:06
Speaker 1: There's a dealer in New York that carries these wheels and I couldn't find them anywhere else.
• 21:12
Speaker 1: So I ordered the wheels, but I was really leery of them because the size is a plus one, okay, and so that means that the fronts are 18s, the rears are 19s.
• 21:28
  Speaker 1: Well, they're staggered.
• 21:29
Speaker 1: They're staggered, but they're still plus one, plus one because they were staggered in 01.
• 21:34
Speaker 1: Okay, that throws a whole wrench in the works.
• 21:39
Speaker 3: So now you got to buy new tires.
• 21:41
  Speaker 1: I didn't say no.
• 21:42
  Speaker 1: I didn't say that.
• 21:43
Speaker 1: I said those were the wheels that were originally on it.
• 21:47
Speaker 1: You weren't paying attention.
• 21:48
Speaker 1: You know you've given me such a hard time this morning, so I'm going to give it right back.
• 21:53
Speaker 1: Mr Yawner, Obviously we've kept him up today, but at any rate, so I will hopefully display them for you next week.
• 22:04
Speaker 3: After you, bring them by here and let them prep them, yeah.
• 22:08
Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to bring the car here and then let them coat them, put the wheels and then they're going to mountain balance.
• 22:15
  Speaker 1: I guess I don't.
• 22:16
  Speaker 1: I don't see a balancing machine here, but and I don't see a mounting.
• 22:21
Speaker 4: Yeah, I was going to say I don't see them.
• 22:23
Speaker 3: Now they have these guys that do all that remote and the guy shows.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: Oh, that's, right, the truck yeah.
• 22:29
Speaker 3: And he's got the mountain balance equipment in the truck.
• 22:31
Speaker 3: Tough thing about that is that these run are the tires on your Corvette run flat, of course.
• 22:36
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 22:38
Speaker 3: They can be a struggle to mount correctly.
• 22:41
Speaker 1: Well, they didn't have any problem Mounting them over?
• 22:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's because the sidewalls are so stiff.
• 22:47
Speaker 2: No, they just take a little extra care, that's all.
• 22:49
Speaker 2: There shouldn't be any real problem on it.
• 22:51
Speaker 1: They managed to do it, but it's a different process than you would say.
• 22:55
Speaker 1: For instance, the tire on that steel wheel.
• 22:56
Speaker 3: I can tell you that yeah.
• 22:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, so and the wheel business.
• 23:02
Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it's amazing the number of aftermarket wheels that are being purchased every day.
• 23:12
Speaker 1: Matter of fact, this guy bought the wheels from in New York.
• 23:16
Speaker 1: I think we're going to have him on.
• 23:18
Speaker 1: I talked to him about it.
• 23:19
Speaker 1: He's a very personable guy and the nice thing about it is when you talk to him, you're talking to the owner of the company that is an aftermarket dealer, aftermarket wheel dealer, so he's got the skinny on all of it and how to do it.
• 23:35
Speaker 1: I did not realize that the offset on aftermarket wheels, along with the actual size of the wheel, not the diameter, not what you mount the tire on the outside, because you can see that on the tire, but the actual size of the wheel can be found behind the front.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: You have to take them off and look back there and it's all stamped in the wheel.
• 24:03
Speaker 1: I did not know that.
• 24:03
Speaker 1: On the back plate, the offset, all of it's back there, of course, the cheap wheels, the Chinese wheels that I have on there now it's in Chinese, it's not.
• 24:13
Speaker 1: The offset is not on there.
• 24:15
Speaker 1: It shows where the offset is supposed to be.
• 24:17
  Speaker 1: It's called ET.
• 24:18
Speaker 1: I don't know what that stands for, but at any rate I learned a lot through this buying process and it was painful.
• 24:29
Speaker 2: Well, wheels are fun.
• 24:30
Speaker 3: We ought to have them on the show we're going to.
• 24:32
Speaker 3: We're going to have them on the show?
• 24:33
Speaker 2: I don't know what that is.
• 24:36
Speaker 4: You weren't paying attention.
• 24:36
  Speaker 3: He wasn't again.
• 24:37
Speaker 3: I was busy coughing.
• 24:39
Speaker 1: Do you have some sort of lung infection?
• 24:41
  Speaker 1: Hopefully not.
• 24:42
  Speaker 1: Yeah, just checking.
• 24:45
  Speaker 1: I know a guy.
• 24:47
Speaker 1: He's given me a hard time today so I thought, well, I'm just going to give it back to him.
• 24:51
Speaker 1: We can do that.
• 24:53
  Speaker 3: We're okay.
• 24:54
Speaker 3: Is that you on again?
• 24:58
Speaker 2: His meds are kicking in.
• 25:01
Speaker 1: Are the meds kicking in?
• 25:01
Speaker 1: Is that what it?
• 25:02
Speaker 3: is no meds here.
• 25:04
  Speaker 1: No, meds.
• 25:05
Speaker 3: Other than the blood thinners.
• 25:08
  Speaker 1: Blood thinners.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: Jeff, he's on blood thinners.
• 25:11
  Speaker 1: Good for him.
• 25:12
  Speaker 1: He's special Mars.
• 25:16
Speaker 1: You haven't said two words in the past half hour.
• 25:19
Speaker 1: I'm not getting in this conversation Because David keeps turning his mic on he does you need to keep your hands on?
• 25:26
Speaker 1: Is there a reason that you've inserted this into your microphone?
• 25:29
Speaker 4: Yes, because I'm tired of you griping at me for making noise.
• 25:32
Speaker 4: Every time I have to get up Just saying it's all my fault.
• 25:37
  Speaker 1: It's funny.
• 25:38
Speaker 1: It turns around on me, doesn't it?
• 25:40
Speaker 3: And he gets to buy another.
• 25:41
Speaker 1: And I've got nobody arguing with me on this.
• 25:44
  Speaker 3: What?
• 25:44
Speaker 3: And then he gets to buy a new device.
• 25:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, buy something else.
• 25:48
Speaker 1: It works, though, I guess it does.
• 25:51

• 26:13
Speaker 2: Well, it's written down here but we're paying any attention to it and I'm going to leave the last hour in David Ainsley's hands.
• 26:20
Speaker 1: Oh, you are, you're going to take an hour now.
