- 1:20sad man bias but i think he was one of the best color commentary dudes in the
- 1:27business i mean he made games entertaining beep beep drive home say chicago all of that,
- 1:34all of that man all of that give me the hot sauce hot sauce on yeah yeah yeah he,
- 1:38made he made games very entertaining man so i didn't realize he had been doing
- 1:43it that long it's over over two decades man really yeah But I know he started
- 1:49out with Neil Funk and then Neil Funk retired.
- 1:53But man, it's been 20 years, bro. That's crazy. Like 18, 19 years,
- 1:59somewhere around that, maybe a little bit more. That's crazy.
- 2:02That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. No, you're right, though.
- 2:05Rest in power to Stacey King. It's all good. Before we get into today's topic.
- 2:11I got to do some housekeeping. Yeah.
- 2:15Last week, we did 10 Best Black Villains.
- 2:20I want to make a redaction. Oh, shoot.
- 2:23Okay. I need to take somebody off this list, and I have to add Mr. T as Clubber Lang.
- 2:33And I don't know how I didn't have Clubber Lang on this list, man. He was great.
- 2:38He was excellent, man. Especially that scene when he was talking to him Talking
- 2:44to his wife Hey woman Hey woman.
- 2:54He was excellent man hey look he told Apollo you better get that bad look off
- 2:58your face before I knock it off,
- 3:01clubber Lang is on the list if I have to take somebody off I guess I have to
- 3:05take I'll take the Will Smith,
- 3:08off the list since he's sort of not a villain I'll take Will Smith off and I'll
- 3:14add clubber Lang to the list,
- 3:17I I gotta do it my apologies for leaving clubber off that list yeah yeah yeah
- 3:23without a doubt so anyway what you want to get into today bro man today we're
- 3:28gonna talk about this whole uh spacex ipo yeah,
- 3:33yeah yeah yes.
- 3:36Or as i like to call it the the stage coast with gold rims on it,
- 3:41yeah man this guy is is just an unsavory character man i mean from naruta to
- 3:49the tootah he is just a unsavory guy.
- 3:53But go ahead, bro. Kick us off.
- 3:55And by the end of this discussion, hopefully you guys will understand why we're
- 4:01saying that this guy is just shady.
- 4:04So I'm going to do something a little different.
- 4:06Obviously, we're going to have pros. We're going to have cons.
- 4:09I'm going to start off with the pros of this. OK.
- 4:12So people understand that we're not just about to just shit on the whole thing.
- 4:17I am. I don't have any pros.
- 4:20This is all I got. Okay.
- 4:22No, no. All the other notes are not. Okay. Okay. So, the pros.
- 4:28Beneath all the hype, you know, the AI and all of that stuff,
- 4:32Starlink is basically the golden goose right now.
- 4:35$11.4 billion in revenue in 2025, which is 61% of the company's total.
- 4:42And they hit 10 million subscribers earlier this year.
- 4:46They raised $75 billion in a single day.
- 4:50So SpaceX no longer has to beg private billionaires or banks for money.
- 4:53Because let's be real, most people don't know that's all he did.
- 4:58You know what? I'm on pros. Hold on. We'll get to the to the cons.
- 5:01And they've got a war chest, so they don't have to worry about any money anytime soon.
- 5:05Major stock indexes are fast tracking SpaceX into their funds.
- 5:11We'll get to that, what that means. The hardware and software monopoly he basically
- 5:16has with XAI and the SpaceX umbrella.
- 5:20Zero competition because Boeing can't compete with this because he's got reusable rockets.
- 5:26So those are the pros. I'm going to let you go ahead.
- 5:30I got my cons list, too, but I'm going to wait.
- 5:33So there are there are a few things why I say that that this deal is pretty sketchy.
- 5:42One of the first things that and this is just my opinion. And let me stay for
- 5:48the record. I'm not a financial analyst.
- 5:51I don't trade. So take all of this with a grain of salt.
- 5:56But the information is factual. Whether you agree or disagree with it is a different,
- 6:04argument. That's a different conversation. But the information is factual. Right. So.
- 6:09What was really I guess I need to go back to the beginning. Right.
- 6:15And and what makes this such a groundbreaking, extraordinary event with SpaceX going public?
- 6:25Like my my my first criticism is the fact that even though this is going public,
- 6:34the way that is structured, you can invest your money, but you don't get any real executive power.
- 6:44So he keeps, I think, 80% of the executive power Which basically means that
- 6:51you can put your money in But you do not make any of the decisions So whatever
- 6:57he decides what's best for the company,
- 7:00Is what's best for the company.
- 7:03And none of the shareholders or anything has any say-so Or the board Or the
- 7:09board, correct What the hell would you want to sit on that board for if I can't?
- 7:12Correct nah correct so that's that's the first thing,
- 7:18That I think is pretty sketchy or shady with this whole deal.
- 7:23The other thing that's pretty sketchy, and there's more, but I don't want to
- 7:28take up all of the oxygen.
- 7:30The other thing, though, that I think is really shady is the absorption of Gronk XAI,
- 7:41X slash Twitter into the SpaceX.
- 7:45X because there was no money to pay to them investors.
- 7:49And that part right there. And that's what a lot of people are really,
- 7:54up in arms about is the fact that this looks like a way for him to overvalue
- 8:01Twitter and recoup some of the money for the investors.
- 8:05Because as we all know, Twitter has been a loser since he has taken it over.
- 8:11So that's the other thing that's kind of shady is that this makes Twitter slash
- 8:19X more valuable than it actually is or should be,
- 8:24which is just a way, like I was just saying, for him to recoup his money and
- 8:30recoup the money for the investors who lost their asses investing in X slash
- 8:37Twitter. So here's my problem.
- 8:39$2.1 trillion dollar valuation. Mm-hmm. Okay? Mm-hmm. So.
- 8:45What Wall Street is telling us is that Elon Musk is a time traveler.
- 8:48He's already gone to the future to see- That part. That it's going to be perfect.
- 8:53That part. If a rocket blows up, if a deadline is missed.
- 8:58Now, I'm not saying it's going to plummet the stock, but historically, we have-
- 9:04Things that have happened or stocks have plummeted after that.
- 9:08So you're valuing $2.1 trillion. It's only worth $780 billion,
- 9:14but you're valuing it at $2.1 trillion, forcing companies like forcing the NASDAQ
- 9:22100 to list it. You're forcing them to list it.
- 9:25Right. Do you know what the product is?
- 9:28The product is a floating data center.
- 9:35That's excuse me that's that's that's the product y'all and i'm not kidding
- 9:40on this and his data centers are gobbling up 2.4 billion dollars a quarter well
- 9:45the whole like thing like the spacex has been like a loser,
- 9:49for like i think last year i think they estimated that it lost like four billion
- 9:54dollars or something like that so that's that's another thing that i find particularly shady,
- 9:59is how does a company that is losing money become more valuable,
- 10:05over a span of six months or however long that this deal has been in works?
- 10:12It is super shady. But yeah, the other thing is it's all a gamble.
- 10:18There are some skeptics who say that this floating data center idea will never happen.
- 10:25And there are some who say, yeah, it will happen. Now, the projected rollout is 2028.
- 10:32But after 2028, does this stock start to lose its value? You.
- 10:41The other thing that's sketchy, if you have a 401k, and this is how it affects the rest of us.
- 10:49If you have a 401k, you most likely have a management firm running your 401k.
- 10:57They're going to see this stock and how it's performing and most likely invest
- 11:05our 401k money into this stock.
- 11:08So if this thing blows up after 2028, we're stuck holding the bag,
- 11:14especially with the companies that both of us work for being leaning heavily
- 11:19conservative without a doubt.
- 11:21Yeah. You know, they're going to go into the space. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:26You mentioned the space. Oh, the dollar amount was you were right.
- 11:30Four point two eight billion dollars a quarter is what we're burning.
- 11:34We're going to be left holding the bag without a doubt.
- 11:38And here's something, too. I think it's between 90 and 180 days that you between
- 11:44three and six months that you have. Yes, yes, exactly.
- 11:48You are you are you are correct. So historically, what we've seen from Facebook
- 11:53will matter the same thing a while back.
- 11:56Not on the scale, though, obviously, these billionaires are going to sell.
- 12:01They're going to sell which supply and demand. you're going to put more out into the market.
- 12:07Everyday people who just want to be a part of something are going to start buying
- 12:11up those shares. But when those shares hit the market, the stock price is going to plummet.
- 12:16We know that because that's how it works.
- 12:21I'm just I'm still stuck on the fact that there is no real product.
- 12:27That's the part that I can't get past is this is all hypothetical at this moment.
- 12:33There is no proof that this floating orbital database is actually going to work.
- 12:40That's my whole thing is we're giving this guy all of this money based on an idea at this point.
- 12:49And the thing is with him, we've been doing that for so long.
- 12:54People think that he invented Tesla. No, he didn't. He bought the company and
- 12:58forced the damn geniuses out.
- 13:02Bro, do you know I had that discussion with somebody a few years ago?
- 13:05And I could tell they were ready to fight. Do you know that next day they came
- 13:10back to work? He said, and I had no clue that that dude did what he did to those
- 13:15guys that invented Tesla. I was like, yeah, bro.
- 13:19You know, he has like 52 government contracts, bro.
- 13:2652 government contracts. He's not a genius. He's a grifter. And you know what's crazy?
- 13:33With that $2.1 trillion valuation yesterday, he has become a systemic threat
- 13:40to the entire economy. Yes.
- 13:44He is a threat. He is a bad comic book villain.
- 13:49So that $2.1 trillion is the equivalent now of the economy.
- 13:55How many countries? Canada or Brazil.
- 14:00Let's just use Canada. One company.
- 14:03Can you imagine the ego, what he's doing right now, other than looking like
- 14:09a damn goofball yesterday?
- 14:11But I think I seen someone say earlier today that he could spend a million dollars,
- 14:18a day for like the next hundred years.
- 14:20It was more than that. It was hundreds of years. And he'll never go broke.
- 14:24Yeah, that's insane, bro. So now here's the thing.
- 14:29And here's here's something that I've kind of had some people come at me,
- 14:34friends, like just the regular conversation before in a group chat text to me personally.
- 14:40And I know you and I came up in this this this era as well.
- 14:44Well, I'm worth two hundred million dollars. OK, how much cash you got on hand?
- 14:51Three million. OK, then you ain't worth. Right. You were three million.
- 14:56I know that financial people would be like, no, that's not how it works. Right. I understand.
- 15:01But for me, how many people in the top 10 wealthiest people in the world?
- 15:07Can produce, like literally produce, $780 million in cash. I say maybe four.
- 15:19Now, I might be wrong. Somebody might listen to this a couple hours from now and call me an idiot.
- 15:25But there are very few people I personally think actually have that type of cash on hand.
- 15:32And I understand building assets, but as I just said, all it takes is one rocket to crash.
- 15:39I've heard people saying, man, this is about to make cafeteria workers millionaires.
- 15:45Yeah, until something bad happened and they ain't got no damn money in December
- 15:49because the damn billionaires are going to get insider information,
- 15:53sell off before everybody else.
- 15:55Right. They're going to sell off at hundreds and hundreds of dollars a share,
- 16:00where the average cafeteria worker is going to sell it at twenty four dollars
- 16:03a share and just get enough money to pay two months or more.
- 16:06You know, damn millionaires.
- 16:10And I've seen someone also saying this morning that some of the people within his organizations,
- 16:18because of this high evaluation, did wake up as millionaires because they had
- 16:24no existing stocks, whatever, whatever, whatever. But they can't sell it. Yeah.
- 16:29I'm sitting here. I got a piece of paper in my hand that says that my portfolio
- 16:35tells me that I'm worth $3.7 million.
- 16:38Yeah, but it's not liquid, basically. And by Christmas, it might be $42,000.
- 16:44Now, is that still allowed for a cafeteria worker trying to make it to get by? Absolutely.
- 16:49But this whole, and then celebrities, like they out there just,
- 16:54man, this is a great day. I'm like, what?
- 16:59You know.
- 17:02And they're too big to fail. That's exactly what's going to happen, though.
- 17:08It's going to hurt people. It's going to hurt, like I said. I know I sound like
- 17:12a broken record, but it's going to trigger, especially with the 401k.
- 17:16We saw what COVID did. mm-hmm that's that's exactly if this doesn't go according
- 17:22to plan the government will step in,
- 17:25and and basically bail out elon musk especially if there's a conservative and
- 17:30all and and it's is yeah exactly and it's crazy because,
- 17:35well no democrat would have to now too because the damn economy will collapse
- 17:39correct correct it was i about to say oh like so so it is this This all makes sense now.
- 17:46Remember when he was talking trash about Trump?
- 17:49For like all of two weeks about the Epstein stuff and all of that.
- 17:53And then he had to go back and crawl on his knees because of the government contracts.
- 17:59So so this guy broke. He'd be broke without. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:03This guy is basically eating off of us, the U.S. taxpayers.
- 18:08So, yeah, richest man in the world.
- 18:11He owes a lot of that wealth to the U.S. taxpayers.
- 18:17So one point seven five trillion.
- 18:21Give some of that back, bro. Give some of that back.
- 18:24I want to see like some cancer research. I want to see some things like fully
- 18:29funded because you can't spend all of that money regardless.
- 18:34So it's time for you to start giving some things back.
- 18:38You've been eating off of the U.S. people for all of these years because of
- 18:42your government contracts. Time for you to start giving back.
- 18:46You know what this means this just means he's about to really really lose his
- 18:50mind and go gung-ho and think he's gonna build a whole civilization on mars
- 18:54well yeah we're just idiotic you know what i say
- 18:57go go yeah go goodbye go yeah yeah completely idiotic.
- 19:03You know what else though he's also just like he tried to influence the u.s election,
- 19:09or uh what was the other one in germany he was trying to influence oh yeah their
- 19:12election when he did that because he got so much money he got so much money
- 19:16to spend imagine how many elections,
- 19:19that he can influence with this amount of money and how many world leaders he could basically have,
- 19:27doing his bidding because hey you wouldn't be in your position without me and my money so you owe me,
- 19:35And that's why I call him a bad comic book villain at this point.
- 19:40And that doesn't even include the 35 kids that he has.
- 19:46And I know it's not 35, but he has an extraordinary amount of kids.
- 19:50And I think only two are conceived naturally. Well, a lot of them don't even rock with it.
- 19:55Yeah. No, but I'm saying they're all artificial insemination type.
- 20:01Gosh, I was about to say something.
- 20:05Only two are conceived naturally i think i'll just i'll just i'll just leave
- 20:08it like that so real quick and i want to make a historical comparison go back
- 20:13to rca in the 20s so the hot new technology was commercial radio.
- 20:21People took out loans just to buy stock on rca what happened the 1929 stock
- 20:28market crash everybody lost everything,
- 20:32the only difference is is now he's using ai and spaceships back then it was the commercial radio,
- 20:40and then it's you know and of course the radio was big because i mean we've
- 20:44seen old movies everybody's sitting around sure listening to baseball or orson
- 20:47wells sure and then the stock market crash happened nobody was We weren't expecting
- 20:52that. We weren't expecting COVID.
- 20:54Some people would say we were, but we weren't expecting it.
- 20:59It tanked some of our 401k for a little while. But RCA did make a comeback.
- 21:03Yeah. I mean, they were, they were. But the people who took out mortgages.
- 21:07Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mortgages and home loans. Yeah.
- 21:10With this, oh, I'm about to be rich. Right.
- 21:13And do you think the people at RCA went broke? Nah. Nah. You just went broke. Yeah.
- 21:18And that's the same thing that happened with him. Even though there is a financial
- 21:22risk to him, with trillions of dollars, it'd be like a drop in the bucket. He'd be okay.
- 21:31He may lose his richest man in the world title, but as far as him standing in a child line, nah.
- 21:38He may have to disappear for a little while, go to the Caribbean,
- 21:42you know, post it up in a $10 million house for a couple of weeks. But yeah.
- 21:46And the other thing that I think we need to state for the record, none of this is illegal.
- 21:55And I want to make that clear. We are not claiming on this podcast that any
- 22:00of this is illegal because it isn't. It's all legal.
- 22:06Is it sketchy? Is it shady? Hell yes.
- 22:10But it's all legal, which is why we need to really reevaluate this capitalism
- 22:19thing and this financial market.
- 22:22I don't think we said this yet. SpaceX is trading at 92 times its past year's revenue.
- 22:31It's legal.
- 22:32$1.3 trillion of the $2.1 trillion valuation is basically based on hope. It's an idea.
- 22:42That's the part that I, when I was researching this, I'm just like, wait a minute.
- 22:47There's no real product here. There's a phantom product. And I'm not mad at the IPO launch.
- 22:55I'm not. I'm mad at the valuation because it immediately brought us all in harm's way. Right.
- 23:02Now, if you would have came out valued it at 900 million or hell right at a trillion.
- 23:08Yeah, you would have overvalued it by two or three hundred. Right.
- 23:11But that's not two point one trillion. Right.
- 23:14It's nuts. It's really, really nuts. Right.
- 23:19And we allow this to happen that that that that's also the part of just like
- 23:24we're allowing this to happen.
- 23:28In this age of the tech bros, the billionaires are bad guys.
- 23:33Why do we continue to prop this guy up?
- 23:37I don't get it. I truly don't get it. We allowed a man to drive to put a car
- 23:45on the market that is uglier than the AMC Pacer and the Gremlin. I agree.
- 23:52Tell me that one of your kids didn't bring home that was hanging on that there
- 23:56refrigerator at least once in their life,
- 24:00that they didn't bring home a piece of paper that had a car that looked just
- 24:04like that or if you haven't drawn a car that looked like that we're talking
- 24:07about the truck by the way yeah oh,
- 24:11I'm sure they know but every day I drive past one,
- 24:18it's just straight lines dude But it is by far the ugliest car I've seen personally
- 24:26in my lifetime. It really is.
- 24:29It really. You only buy it for the status symbol. $150,000? Yeah.
- 24:36Only for the status symbol, bro. Which I don't even know how that's a status symbol.
- 24:41Because the price tag. Because if you're driving it, people know you spent a lot of money on it.
- 24:47He is a prime example of what Marlowe was talking about in the wire. My name is my name. Yeah.
- 24:53That name has afforded him to be able to live this luxury. Oh,
- 24:59Elon Musk, it must be a good idea.
- 25:02We grew up with Donald Trump's name on buildings everywhere.
- 25:05We didn't know anything in our young ages about the grifting, at least not all of it.
- 25:11It's the name. Right. We put that name up there. It ain't worth shit.
- 25:17We as society, when I say we, rob these guys up just because they have money,
- 25:23not because of any real accomplishments.
- 25:27It's only because they have money.
- 25:30I personally don't understand it. Like I think I've said to you or before,
- 25:35there's only two people that I would ever be starstruck on. And I met one of them.
- 25:41The other one I probably passed out. But two people, that's it.
- 25:45Who are the two? I'm curious.
- 25:47Well, I met Scarface. Okay. Which was cool as hell. And the other one was Mary
- 25:51J. Blige, man. Really? Oh, yeah, man. I love Mary J., man.
- 25:54Love her to death. You wouldn't be starstruck by me and MJ?
- 25:59Really? Interesting. I've met six celebrities in my life.
- 26:07I've gotten, one was an asshole, Tyra Banks. She's an asshole.
- 26:12Common was cool as hell. I met Anthony Mason. I worked at Circuit City. Dude, huge.
- 26:19Rick Ross, Scarface. And that's it, I think.
- 26:24Interesting. So if Mike walked in here right now, you would be like,
- 26:28oh, shit, Mike. I mean, yeah, I'm going to dab you.
- 26:32But I guess what I say is like when you see like people just fawning over these people. Yeah.
- 26:39Like they can't function if they don't want to keep up with the Kardashians. Yeah.
- 26:44Like I'd be like, hey, man, I just met Mike.
- 26:46Cool as hell. When I look like 50 years old passing out over Mike. I hear you.
- 26:51I hear you. Totally unrelated. What do you think about his baby mama out there
- 26:56spilling all that tea and being messy?
- 26:58Who? Elon's baby mama.
- 27:01Oh, man, I don't pay no attention to that. You don't pay no attention to her? Okay.
- 27:06There was some stuff a couple years ago where when he had those two kids back to back, I guess.
- 27:12And we know he paid that lady to have that baby.
- 27:15And then he paid her off, and then she was mad about something.
- 27:18I forget what I saw her on, but nothing surprises me.
- 27:22Yeah, it is. this chick is not just spilling tea on him but spilling tea on
- 27:26like the republican party period she and you know they say hell have no fury like a woman's corn,
- 27:33but yeah she don't know it she out here being messy and she's spilling a lot
- 27:37of tea anyway let's let's let's let's leave that right where it's at because
- 27:42i don't i don't know what to make of her either i'm like i've listened to a
- 27:45few things and like okay that's interesting but then it's just like uh,
- 27:49how much of this can i actually believe what you do, run out of money?
- 27:54Yeah, you know, and she's like, she's had this awakening, and I'm just like, eh...
- 28:00Only Awakenings I acknowledge is the 90s show in Chicago.
- 28:05Hey, hey, that's going back. Man, just love that.
- 28:09I used to. Let me just stop right there. Anyway. Yeah, so that's our discussion
- 28:15for this week about the SpaceX and the IPO and why we think it's pretty sketchy, pretty shady.
- 28:21Anything you want to add to that before we move on, bro? All right,
- 28:24cool. Well, let's move right along into our current events.
- 28:27You got a current event you want to talk about, bro?
- 28:30I do. So I want to talk about somebody's feelings getting hurt overnight. Okay.
- 28:37So a name was taken off of a building overnight.
- 28:41Okay. There were people posted up, like influencers, news organizations posted
- 28:46up. But they didn't see what happened.
- 28:49Because this egomaniacal maniac put scaffolding up and then put a curtain up.
- 28:56So we wouldn't see his name being taken off of the Kennedy Center.
- 29:00I thought the judge. No, no, no. They did. Okay.
- 29:03But he put a curtain up so nobody could get it on camera and share it.
- 29:09Do you know how much of a narcissistic jackass you have to be to be like,
- 29:15well, I'm just going to put this curtain up. You couldn't see it at all.
- 29:20He filed an appeal though, right? Yeah, he lost it. They already ruled on the
- 29:25appeal already? They pulled it down overnight. That's what I'm saying.
- 29:29I thought it was still up. No, no, no. But he put a curtain up.
- 29:33So we can see it being taken down. Yeah, I hear you.
- 29:37But the bigger kicker is this.
- 29:40That building was dedicated to someone, which means it is an act of Congress.
- 29:47You didn't have the authority ever to put your name on the building.
- 29:53Not only that, you didn't have the authority to replace the board.
- 29:58I'm sorry, the trustees. Correct.
- 30:01And I'm not just saying that because we don't like to do this.
- 30:04There are protocols. Yeah. You have to go through Congress to do any of that.
- 30:10It's a memorial. Uh-huh.
- 30:14But you know why he did it. I know why he did it. And so his name lives on after he's gone.
- 30:21It's the same reason that his name is on all these buildings.
- 30:23And physically, he only owns about, what, 10 buildings total?
- 30:28But his name is probably on 50 across the world.
- 30:32And that's another thing. People think, oh, his name's on it.
- 30:34He owns it. No, the fuck he doesn't. You know what would be great, Karma?
- 30:39Let him just slap his name up on all of this stuff and live long enough.
- 30:44To see the next Democrat president go take his name off everything.
- 30:51That would be perfect karma.
- 30:54It just amazes me.
- 30:56That you thought, like if any other president would have done this,
- 31:00we'd be having the same conversation.
- 31:02If that shit would have been the Barack Hussein, Obama, John F.
- 31:05Kennedy, we would have been like, what the hell is he doing? But that's just it, bro.
- 31:09No other president would have done it.
- 31:12That's the part that all of these MAGAs don't understand.
- 31:17No other president would behave in this manner. Because they wouldn't have been thinking about it.
- 31:22They'd be focused on actually running the country instead of this vanity project
- 31:28where I'm just going to put my name over here, put my name over there.
- 31:32I'm going to do this and build a ballroom and all of this other just idiotic shit.
- 31:38But it's also why he didn't argue, fight, moan, bitch and complain publicly
- 31:42about it for a long period of time because he knew it was wrong.
- 31:45He did it because let me see how much I can get away with. Right.
- 31:49That's why he did it. Right. And look, he's not the only one that does that.
- 31:53A lot of rich people do that shit. Let me do this.
- 31:55Excuse me. See how much I can get away with. Sure. And that's what he did.
- 31:59And when he realized that a judge was going to step up and be like, no, you can't do that.
- 32:03Yeah, you're going to file an appeal because that's what you do.
- 32:05Yeah. You're convicted of a crime. What do you do? You file an appeal because
- 32:09it's your legal right to file an appeal. Yeah.
- 32:11And he lost. And he knew he was going to lose. Yeah.
- 32:15You good on that? That's all I got. All right, cool. I'm going to stick with our guy.
- 32:22Hey, we didn't talk about him last week At least I don't think And,
- 32:27I'm gonna Talk about this UFC fight On the White House lawn This 250 year Celebration
- 32:35The first thing I want to mention is,
- 32:39the corruption aspect of it. And this is why we have been calling him a grifter
- 32:44because he bought stock in UFC.
- 32:48So he is profiting off of this fight that's taking place at the White House.
- 32:56That's the first thing I want to highlight is the corruption that he's going to profit. it.
- 33:00The other thing I want to highlight is how does this celebrate America as a
- 33:08country and how does this benefit anyone other than him and his rich buddies?
- 33:16This has nothing to do with 250 years of America being a country.
- 33:23None of it. If anything, it's the exact opposite.
- 33:28This is a stain on the country that you are putting this monstrosity at the
- 33:35White House, that you have these people fighting at the White House.
- 33:43What is this like the Roman Colosseum? Are we back in the gladiator times?
- 33:48Do you want to sit there and have these guys fight and then you give them the
- 33:54thumbs up thumbs down to you know what i'm saying like like what are we doing
- 33:58here it's so idiotic and it's just like.
- 34:03I don't i mean it's it's it's just dumb bro it's just it's just weird i mean
- 34:08what's next bro you gonna ask some lions you gonna know what i'm saying had
- 34:12he had these guys getting chased around the cage and it's all ridiculous,
- 34:17what are we doing here in america What are we doing?
- 34:21The only difference now is that the fighters are actually getting paid.
- 34:25Instead of being slaves and forced to fight. Instead of being sent back into the fields.
- 34:31Is is is nuts man is is nuts i mean just like this whole thing is just so one is tacky,
- 34:39is is is super duper tacky well before we started,
- 34:43yeah when i pointed to the tv yeah you could it was that that picture from the
- 34:47front and it was like 15 to 20 feet higher than the white house yeah 60 million
- 34:53dollars to build that structure man of taxpayer money,
- 34:56some of it i'm air quotes Yeah.
- 35:00Yeah. And that's the other thing he keeps telling us.
- 35:04Oh, this is going to be totally funded by such and such and such and such.
- 35:07And then we come to find out that the taxpayers are actually the ones footing the bill for this.
- 35:14It's unbelievable. And again, the grift isn't sophisticated.
- 35:19We can all see it. But like you were just saying, it's just let me see how much
- 35:25I can actually get away with before someone actually says anything back to the karma.
- 35:31Live long enough for your assets to be frozen.
- 35:35And you get audited and freaking go to jail.
- 35:39Another thing, too, with him, I always like to mention this,
- 35:42even though it sounds like it has nothing to do with anything.
- 35:45He is prohibited from running charities in New York because he's a crook. Think about that.
- 35:53The president of this country the leader of the free world is currently his
- 35:59companies are currently prohibited for the foreseeable future,
- 36:04of running charities in his home state because they've been convicted of stealing
- 36:12charitable funds yep yep,
- 36:15but nah here you go here's here's the economy yeah it's yours yeah,
- 36:20yeah and i mean like literally people,
- 36:24just look at his stock trades that he's made just in the second term you don't
- 36:29even have to go back to the first term,
- 36:31just in the second term just in a year and a half look at the stock trades that
- 36:35he's made and how he has profited so much from being president and the fact that,
- 36:43he he buys stock, and then he promotes those companies,
- 36:49which is insider trading.
- 36:53It is a pump and dump. You raise the value, you cash out, let it tank,
- 36:59and sell all your stocks once it starts to fall.
- 37:05Again, it's not sophisticated if you know where to look, but it's unbelievable
- 37:11just the amount of shenanigans.
- 37:14That's the word I use that we let this guy get away with.
- 37:18Anything else you want to put on that, bro? All right, cool.
- 37:21All right, y'all. Now we're going to move into our rant, our rant about a random
- 37:25topic. My favorite segment.
- 37:28You got it right, bro? All right, go ahead.
- 37:32All right. So profanity warning, profanity warning, profanity warning.
- 37:37So there is a rapper who came out a couple of days ago and said something about
- 37:45something he saw online. And I'm going to repeat what he said.
- 37:49This got to be AI. If not, who just said they're going to start wearing thongs?
- 37:55This is the worst generation ever. This is just sick. Rappers wearing thongs is about to be a fashion.
- 38:01I'm going back to sleep. This world is coming to an end.
- 38:05Now to the actual video that he saw online.
- 38:10A$AP Rocky was performing, jumping around on stage, whatever. Pants was sagging.
- 38:16Apparently he had on flesh colored boxes with a black trim.
- 38:23So I guess what the lights dim and the flashing looks like a thong.
- 38:29So this person takes the social media mentions it now.
- 38:34This person also a couple of years ago posted this for his son's 14th birthday.
- 38:41Profanity warning here. Love you, son, with all my heart.
- 38:44Pop's going to see you tomorrow. Got a bag for you and a bad bitch to give you some head.
- 38:50To your 14-year-old kid? 14-year-old. The same person went on a breakfast club,
- 38:56went 10 toes down, double down, because boys have different desires than girls.
- 39:03Then at the same time talk shit about his own baby girl where she had to make
- 39:08a public video to say he won't even talk to me face to face and handle this in-house.
- 39:17This same person has talked shit about Gabrielle Union,
- 39:21Zia Wade, Dwyane Wade, and most recently he said he didn't want any trans people
- 39:29at his pool party, right? Caused a big stir online.
- 39:33Now, here's what I agree with with that. It's your pool, brother.
- 39:36It's your house. Yeah, invite who you want. You invite who you want. Yeah.
- 39:40But you wanted to make it public because you know that a lot of us rock with you.
- 39:45And a lot of people were rocking with you because about 15 years ago,
- 39:49you got a gun case, I think it was, and you got way too much time.
- 39:52A lot of people running around here, free this dude, free this dude.
- 39:56Now I know who you're talking about. So now I'm just going to end this with six words.
- 40:03Lil Boosie, shut the fuck up.
- 40:12All right, y'all. That's the episode for this week. We'll holler at y'all next time. Peace.
- 40:19I'm so sick, man.
- 40:25Oh, man. Oh, man.
- 40:30Well, I don't have anything to add to that. You've said it all.
- 40:34For more work, I'm going to get a little bit personal, something that's near and dear to you and I.
- 40:42Last week for my current event, I was talking about summer gatherings and cookouts, etc.
- 40:52And I was saying that we need to really put a focus or an emphasis on this gun
- 41:01violence and especially this youth gun violence,
- 41:05unbeknownst to us that a close friend would lose his niece to gun violence later on that evening.
- 41:17To the family, we just want to say condolences.
- 41:21You guys know that we care about you deeply.
- 41:25Thoughts and prayers. And if you need us, we're available.
- 41:30I also want to say, and this may be a little somber.
- 41:36This may be a hard truth, but it's something that we need to recognize, acknowledge, and hear.
- 41:47Our babies are being killed.
- 41:51Here's the dark truth that we need to hear. Some of our babies are killers.
- 42:01We need to do better. I don't know if this is a parenting thing.
- 42:06I don't know if this is just a societal issue. I don't know.
- 42:10I don't have a solution to this problem except to say we need to do better.
- 42:19Too many of our young black boys are getting killed. Too many of our young black
- 42:24girls are getting killed to senseless gun violence.
- 42:31And a lot of times it's another young black man or a young black girl that's doing the killing.
- 42:39Come on, y'all.
- 42:41I'm open to suggestions. You know what I'm saying? We we need to collectively,
- 42:46put our heads together and and find a way to just knock it off.
- 42:55I mean, for real, it ain't it ain't cute. It ain't cool. It ain't we can't even go anywhere.
- 43:02I was watching the news and I seen some idiots got into it at a at a water park.
- 43:07Oh yeah all type of children families hanging out at the water park,
- 43:14just trying to beat the heat on a hot summer day and now some fools out here
- 43:19shooting fighting and shooting at the water park literally stay your dumb ass at home,
- 43:26you don't know how to act stay at home i want to say something else but i'm not going to say that,
- 43:32i'll tell you after the show how what i really want to sake. I already know.
- 43:37But y'all, we just need to do better. All right? All right? Please.
- 43:42Let's figure this thing out. Let's do better.
- 43:45That's my right, bro. You want to add anything to that? All right, cool. All right, y'all.
- 43:50We're going to try and lighten this thing up because I know we just took a dark turn.
- 43:55It's time for five on the black hand side movie review.
- 43:59And the movie we chose this week is Don't Be a Menace to South Central While
- 44:05Drinking Your Juice in the Hood.
- 44:09The Wayans, well, I shouldn't say the Wayans brothers, Sean and Marlon's first attempt at a spoof.
- 44:16Go ahead my brother so i'm i'm about to fess up to something man i forgot to
- 44:22look up the year was released okay the whole shebang i got everything else okay
- 44:28but i just realized oh shit.
- 44:32I forgot to look that part up yeah i think it was 1996 if i'm not mistaken yeah
- 44:38because i know it was before either one of us left.
- 44:40Yeah, yeah, yeah, I want to say it was 1996. So, as my brother was just mentioning,
- 44:46it is a parody movie, and I want to run through the characters and,
- 44:51there you know what i'm gonna run through the characters the parody target and
- 44:54the source move what yeah because and and and i think this is like very generational,
- 45:01so in order to get some of the humor i think you would have to have seen.
- 45:07Those particular movies but anyway go go go ahead because a lot of a lot of
- 45:10this generation only know them from the scary movie correct franchise Correct.
- 45:14This is where it started. Correct.
- 45:16So you have Ashtray, which is a parody from Trey Lyles, who was played by Kane
- 45:25Lawson. Well, no, no. Or Kane Lawson.
- 45:27Boys in the Hood and Menace to Society. Mm-hmm.
- 45:30Lope Dog. Mm-hmm. Which is a parody of O-Dog and Doughboy. Mm-hmm.
- 45:35Menace to Society and Boys in the Hood.
- 45:37Dashiki, who is a parody of- Sharif! Of Ronnie, Justice, and Brandi.
- 45:44From Minister's Society, Poetic Justice, and Boys in the Hood.
- 45:48Ashtray's Father, which is a parody of Furious Styles from Boys in the Hood,
- 45:53who just so happens to be three years younger than his son in the movie, which is hilarious.
- 45:57But there's a reason for that. Yeah, yeah. Preach, who is a parody of Sharif
- 46:02and Ali. Yes, sir. Minister's Society in South Central.
- 46:05Crazy Legs, who is a parody of Chris, rest in peace, Boys in the Hood.
- 46:10Toothpick, which is a parody of Ferris and Eileen's cousin, who's that,
- 46:16you know, that actor, man, he's on a life support. He's fighting for his life
- 46:19right now. I did not know that. Yeah. Boys in the Hood, Minister of Society.
- 46:23Officer Self-Hatred, which is you tough, which is Bernie Mac,
- 46:28played parody of Officer Coffee from Boys in the Hood, and then,
- 46:32of course, Grandma, who's a parody of Delilah Benson from Day of Presidents. So.
- 46:39Want to ask something this movie has no plot if you're if you're if you're trying
- 46:43to think of a way to go through the plot this movie has no plot i was scrolling
- 46:47down i'm like no wait a minute where do i start yeah no no there is no plot
- 46:52bro so just just go for it so
- 46:54we're just gonna jump right into yeah so some of the funniest scenes,
- 46:59so the father-son dynamic,
- 47:02ashtray's dad is played by someone who looks the same age as him, obviously.
- 47:07He sits down with Ashtray and he says, I quote, I'm your father,
- 47:13Ashtray, but I'm only a few years older than you because teenage pregnancy is
- 47:17a real problem in the hood. Three years older than him.
- 47:21Bro, when he was reading his father a bedtime story before he went out for the
- 47:25evening, I couldn't stop laughing at that.
- 47:29The reason why that joke is in there is Lawrence Fishburne,
- 47:36only a few years older than cuba gooding jr right that's why that joke is in there.
- 47:43And and i think he even said in the in the in the movie what can my parents
- 47:47tell me they're only a couple years older than me or something like that,
- 47:51you brought to my attention something else and i think you remember this when
- 47:55we were talking about the cosby show one day and you were like well bro felicia
- 47:59rashad is like eight years older than sandra i said yes sir,
- 48:03yes sir and i looked it up right then Yes, sir. It was like like nine years. Yeah.
- 48:07Yeah. Which is insane. Insane. Yeah.
- 48:10Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that that's why that joke is in there.
- 48:14And if you knew what they were referencing, you got the joke. It was fun.
- 48:19It was just a throwaway line. If you didn't get the fact that Lawrence Fishburne
- 48:23and Cuba Gooding Jr. are really close in age. I think it's like six years or
- 48:28something like that, which is why that joke was in there and why it was fun.
- 48:32But for all those people who like the scary movie franchise,
- 48:35it's, you know, obviously most of it is a parody of Scream.
- 48:39And then there's a lot of different movies, Haunted House and all of that.
- 48:43So this movie did that before all of those.
- 48:48Right, right, right. This is just a spoof of all of the hood movies that we've
- 48:52referenced several times in this podcast. And like I said, some of the jokes are generational.
- 48:58You would have to have seen those movies to get some of the humor.
- 49:03And some of it is just timeless.
- 49:05Because I like, this is going to be graphic. I'm sorry, y'all.
- 49:11I like when he finished having sex. First, to go back to that,
- 49:16after he had his run in with officer self-hatred.
- 49:19Oh, yeah. And he walks in and he's just smacking all of those kids.
- 49:24I'm sick of this shit. Pow!
- 49:28And he's just knocking her kids out. I forgot about that.
- 49:32And then they have sex. With all
- 49:34the food? Yeah. And then like two minutes later, she said, I'm pregnant.
- 49:40Man, I lost it, bro. Lost it. I love that scene. What did he grab?
- 49:46And she was like, uh-uh, that's for the kids lunch. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:50I forget what it was. But that fool was driving the mail truck. Yeah.
- 49:55Like poetic justice. Yeah, yeah. as, you know, a parody for Tupac. Right.
- 50:00He had that damn USSR nuclear missile in the back. Yeah. The fools rolled up on him. Yeah.
- 50:07Kenan Ivory Wayans is the mailman. Yes, sir. Every time there was a funny scene,
- 50:12he would yell message. Message!
- 50:15And it was a message if you knew the movies. Right, right. But if you didn't
- 50:20know any better, you're like, why does this dude keep saying message? Yeah.
- 50:24But it was pretty funny. I love when they were at the cookout and old boy had
- 50:30that mirror talking to the dude who was sitting next to him.
- 50:34She like, hey, man, hey, pass me a knife. He's like, keep it low, keep it low, keep it low.
- 50:40Oh, no, he pulled out the mirror when he said, hey, man, is that an old boy
- 50:44talking to your lady? And that's when he grabbed it.
- 50:46Oh, yeah. Okay, okay, okay. Yeah.
- 50:50Hold on. There was another one with him. When he was talking about lock me up,
- 50:54though, what he did the whole spiel. Yeah. Of course, I won't say it.
- 50:57Yeah. We don't want to say that out. Yeah, yeah. He was talking about the suds. Yeah.
- 51:03Dashiki's kids. Yeah. Well, she had about eight kids. Yeah. She had white kids. Asian kids.
- 51:11I'm talking not mixed.
- 51:14She had a white daughter. A white son.
- 51:19When he kissed her, what'd he tell him? Fool, don't you know you just kiss every dude in the cookout?
- 51:26When that fool pulled his pistol on that girl, put it to her head,
- 51:29it's like, give me your number.
- 51:32Yeah, all of that stuff I thought was great. I thought the, of course,
- 51:38Bernie Mac is Bernie Mac, you know. I hate Black Pepper. Yeah.
- 51:43Yeah. I hate Forrest Whitaker, the black of Forrest Whitaker's neck.
- 51:46And most of all, I hate that black ass Wesley Snipes.
- 51:52We talk about Whoopi Goldberg's gums. Yeah.
- 51:56Forrest Whitaker's neck. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just the legendary Bernie Mac.
- 52:02That was awesome. So I didn't like the break dancing scene in church that I
- 52:07was like, yeah, that, that totally didn't work for me. I'm like, uh,
- 52:11Get rid of that. That was funny, though.
- 52:14You like that, bro? Watching them old ladies. Man, I did not like that scene at all, bro.
- 52:21The two dudes standing next to each other with the cell phone.
- 52:24Are you ready to roll? Yeah. Let's go. Yeah, that was absolutely hilarious.
- 52:29The panhandler who was begging for money then went and got in his bins and throw a ball.
- 52:35Yeah. And that's real. Don't give money to panhandlers, y'all.
- 52:40That's just a tip most of these guys are just hustling and they're not broke,
- 52:45buy them some food yeah exactly exactly i never forget having somebody downtown
- 52:50was like nah man i'm cool i ain't hungry you got some money,
- 52:54i ate that for leftovers the next morning yeah i didn't say a word when he said
- 52:58that i just kept i was like all right yep exactly because if you're really starving,
- 53:02you take whatever somebody gives you i feel you,
- 53:05you want some bread that's cool but are you hungry or not.
- 53:11Right. Most of the time they're just going to go buy a drink or go buy some drugs.
- 53:17That's a whole other topic for another discussion. I'm trying to think what
- 53:21else did I absolutely enjoy.
- 53:23I love when he was having to talk.
- 53:25And he was like, Daddy, what do you do around here? Man, I don't do shit.
- 53:30Oh, yeah, yeah. I'm going to pay all my bills.
- 53:36Man, that fool cut that shit in the back of his head. That fool that kicked
- 53:39me or something. And put ammonia on his hands.
- 53:45Man, when he opened that ammonia, I was like, oh, he's about to put ammonia on the back of his head.
- 53:52His grandmother. Yeah. And he was hitting like a bitch. Yeah. Fire! Yeah.
- 54:00Knocked her ass over the table. Oh, man. Yeah, so many, so many.
- 54:05Like I said, there is some timely stuff. There's also some stuff that you had
- 54:08to have seen the movie to know what they were referencing.
- 54:13All in all, though, I enjoyed it. Like I said, it's their first one.
- 54:18Scary movie was much better.
- 54:20But, of course, the more you do something, the better you get at it.
- 54:24So, yeah, for their first crack at it, I thought Don't Be a Menace was pretty good.
- 54:31And I'm glad, speaking of scary movie, I'm glad they were able to get that franchise
- 54:34back. Yeah, yeah. And Paramount definitely stole it from them. And it sucked. Yeah.
- 54:39You could tell the difference when they took it over. It was just like,
- 54:44these aren't even funny anymore.
- 54:47Yeah. Yeah, you added some people that we hadn't seen before.
- 54:50Some big names. Yeah, sure. You're like, oh, okay, yeah, that's cool.
- 54:53Like the kitchen scene. Yeah. Kevin Hart, Leslie Nilsson, and Drake Bell.
- 54:59Yeah. When he shot him with that nail gun, he caught it. The fool was like,
- 55:03that's a lot easier than you think.
- 55:04Hey, that fool shot Kevin Hart in the hand. He's like, no, it ain't.
- 55:08You know, I love when him and Anthony Anderson was laying in that tent.
- 55:13And he was like, I'm just trying to grab some nuts. Oh, when he reached back. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:17I'm just trying to grab some nuts. And there was like some Zagnuts sitting right
- 55:21there. I saw the blooper for that.
- 55:23I know they probably laughed a thousand times. I saw it before I came here.
- 55:28Oh, really? Because algorithm. Yeah. Oh, well, he looking up,
- 55:32don't be a menace. Yeah. He looking up, don't be a menace.
- 55:35The algorithm took me to that. And of course, with the movie just coming out not too long ago. Yeah.
- 55:40Those bloopers are everywhere. But yeah, Kevin Hart was laying there.
- 55:42He's like, what's up, man?
- 55:44And when he said it, Kevin Hart just lost it. I bet. Just bust out laugh.
- 55:47I bet. Yeah. Yeah. That was, yeah. Yeah.
- 55:53Bro anything else you want to talk about as far as this movie go nah all right
- 55:57let's go ahead and rate this thing who we i'm,
- 56:02gonna give it i'm gonna give it a three i don't think it's as good a scary movie
- 56:08but like i said for their first crack at it,
- 56:11i think it did the job it made fun of a lot of those movies probably the same
- 56:18way that we have in our own private time oh yeah so So so.
- 56:22So, yeah, I'm going to give this a solid three. Like I said,
- 56:26I don't think all the jokes hit.
- 56:28I didn't particularly like the reverend part, you know, him telling the deacon,
- 56:33you know, like he was pimping him. You better go get my money. Pass that tray around.
- 56:38Why the preacher got to have a big house and why the preacher got to have a
- 56:41big car. Yeah, all that stuff didn't really that it didn't land for me.
- 56:45But for the most part, I thought most of the jokes landed on.
- 56:49So, yeah, solid, solid three for me.
- 56:52So, the only reason I'm going to give it a 3.5 is because I believe that this movie is timeless.
- 56:58I believe that when we're 60, 70, if we get an opportunity to watch it,
- 57:03we would still laugh at 50 to 60% of the things that's going on.
- 57:09Because you know as well as I do, there's movies you've watched one time you
- 57:12thought was really good, but you're just like...
- 57:14No, on the rewatch, they suck. I just don't have no desire to watch that again. Yeah. I feel you.
- 57:20I feel you. All right. All right, cool. All right, y'all.
- 57:24That's our movie review. Don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood.
- 57:29I gave it a three. KG gave it a three point five.
- 57:33And we're going to roll right into our closing monologue. Our brother,
- 57:37the floor is yours. Appreciate it.
- 57:40So over the last four months, we watched our young people having some issues
- 57:46in the city, as my brother just talked about.
- 57:49The police tell us juvenile homicides are rising, but we can't just talk about
- 57:54percentages. We're talking about kids. Correct.
- 57:58The city tries to react with stricter curfews, task force, but a 9 p.m.
- 58:03Curfew doesn't heal a broken community.
- 58:06And it certainly doesn't empty a loaded gun.
- 58:09We are literally seeing 14-year-olds pulling triggers, reaching for firearms
- 58:13before they even figure out who they are.
- 58:16Convinced that violence is their only currency.
- 58:20The crisis is on all of us now. We have to stop treating this as a passing crime
- 58:24trend because this violence isn't happening in a vacuum.
- 58:29It is knocking on our front doors. As my brother just mentioned,
- 58:33it hit our family over the last week with Jada being shot.
- 58:37She was an innocent bystander caught in someone else's crossfire.
- 58:42But to us, she's not just a tragic headline. She was looking to pursue a career
- 58:45in the medical field, and tragically, she was only a few weeks away from graduation.
- 58:52She wanted to spend her life healing others, and instead, her future was stolen.
- 58:57Sorry, everybody. When a straight bullet takes the life of a bright,
- 59:01innocent girl, it shatters the whole community.
- 59:04We don't start fighting for these kids now. We are just failing our city.
- 59:09We're losing our families.
- 59:11Amen. Amen.
- 59:15Take a deep breath bro Take a deep breath.
