- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to the show, Andy.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like I was just here.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: I know, huh, and I'm so happy because you're one of my favorite guests and I was telling Bob the other night.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, you know, when I talk to Andy, it's like it's like eating cherry pie all the mode that's what that's that's who you are.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're my cherry pie all the mode.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, I have to mention that I have types of diabetes, every sentence.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: My wife says, please, you know, because I'm turning 70 in a month.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: And, uh, October 16th.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: So having my wife says, do you have to say you have to tell everyone can you?
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Please, you know, go to the restaurant.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm 70.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I have type of diabetes and this is my wife.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when I used to be when I lived in Los Angeles and it was let's see it was right probably like the year 2000 and I was no longer pursuing an acting career, but I was going to all of these Hollywood parties like I would call them like
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: B plus Hollywood parties so sometimes I got to the A parties, but mostly it was a B plus parties and all these people You know, they'd all be sitting around talking and I would I was so jaded with the business at that point I would offer up because I think at the time I was like 32 and I was offering up that I was 40 just to look at the gas like their face They would gas
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, I was just going to say I would also tell them how much I weighed because that I mean and at the time I would you know not at the time I'm six feet tall and I have big bones and I'm not small and I was never small and it was always of issue and so I would just I would always tell everybody how much I weighed and that I was 40 so much fun to watch their faces.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: And then they were, as the comics will say, they try to do them, can you do the math?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: They still have an 80s hack comic one.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Not me, but all the comics are on the 80s.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hack.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: So it's been a while, I think the last time you were here it was last December.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: So it's been a little while.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: And we're definitely going to get, you know, my questions for you are all over the night.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, you know, I'm saying I have my I've in the morning.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: I, my coffee, I pour it a stream of consciousness.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I pour my coffee.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: Me too.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I'm surprised that you've been this linear so far.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay, last year, I guess at December, I was probably a little bit better.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I had a pin in my stomach for six weeks after the election, and why what happened to me?
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: I know, I know what happened.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: You got some time?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: And eventually I could see that they, in my opinion, they were, they just threw the frog into the boiling water, right?
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't give it any time to warm up and get the frog all comfortable.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: They just threw this frog into boiling water.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: And it was evident to me that at some point we're going to win.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: Fascism won't win, but, you know, yeah, we're stuck in the shit for a while.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Ultimately, it's very, very, I like that idea that it's going to lose.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think that fascism will in the end, Lou, I don't think it's going to take.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think that, I mean, we're experiencing it now and we're seeing the results of it, but I don't think it's going to last.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: Hold on, hold on.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Ice is at my door.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, no, I don't know.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: I told you I didn't see him.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to lie to you.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: I do go sometimes coordinate with Ice.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: I hate what down the back of stairway.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: So did they know how old you are?
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Do they know how old you are?
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: Do they
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, but what does Lady Graham's wife loses?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: Wouldn't that be?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, how that would be great.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm going to talk to you about the midterms in a minute.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I just wanted to ask you, like, from last year, from the last time we talked last December to now, how is there any difference in how you're feeling about the trajectory of the country?
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I feel, I feel, I feel, well, here's the thing, when things like this happen, I try to get a lot of self-help books where, you know,
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: they say you are not, you know, you can do this even when things are horrible.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I got very, yeah, I was very depressed about it.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so depressed about it, but I made the conscious choice not to watch, you know, I say it on the auction.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: But I watch a little news, but very, very little.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so I,
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: What's happening here?
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Someone is doing something to me.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: OK.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what I just asked me to do.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a different, how are you feeling compared to last year?
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I feel much better.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, here's the thing.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: As somebody descends into insanity or whatever's happening with him, I like that because I think.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think it gives us a chance to get rid of him or at least defang him, but then you, but so I think I'm very positive about everything, but then there's always, because I have a severe case of OCD as opposed to a mild case.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so I've always been worried since ducking and covering, the ducking and covering is.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so, I've had to do some actual spiritual work on myself to realize I can't control these things and that helps, but I am positive about.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: But then, you know, I'm already seeing what could downsides, because it's like,
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even, I don't even want to say his name.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: The vice president, the guy who made his career I'm putting the word allergy next to Hillbilly.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: He scares the living daylights out of me in that guy.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, it's funny because I I'm not as afraid of him and I understand what you're saying because initially I had that thought, but after listening to people like Bob Zeska and a few other people who I trust know a little more than I do anyway.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: I, he's not popular and I don't think he's, he's certainly not going to have the influence over mega that Donald has the, the main, the main, I think the main problem will be corporate media because corporate media would treat him as if he was some breath of fresh air or something.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I don't think that Americans are mostly like depending on corporate media.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: I know they can still do damage.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: But I just, I don't think he's got the Zazazoo.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he can do it.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think he'd actually probably, I mean, he'd still be awful.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he would still
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's, I finally remember the thing.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, you know, Republicans are going to vote for him because that's what they do if he is the nominee, which I don't think he would be the nominee, but I think that it's independence, right?
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: The independence of the deciders really.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that he can't win them over and that's, you know, I'm not very good at predictions, but I'm just going with that because it makes me feel better, right?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I'm right there.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think you're right there, and it's like, uh, uh, I'm just praying that, um, uh, just gonna call the Mario Rubo, Rubio, it's more, no more interviews in the morning.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I just call the Mario Rubio.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: He, he, he to me is the, uh,
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you keep, the level keeps going low, lower, and lower, look at the lower than Trump.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think Marco Rubio is lower than Trump because he, he gives all this lip service.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my parents came here and it brought, and then he turns around and he's kind of very fascistic.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, very much so.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, that's the trajectory of the Republican party.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now, they either have to go full fascism or they have to figure out something new.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the person who's figuring out or trying to figure out something new is Tucker Carlson.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: And also Bob was saying, you know, watch, he's going to run.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to run in 2028.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think that he would be more of a threat than JD Vance, because he had that big following on Fox.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: But I still don't think he's going to be
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think that there's anybody in the Republican party that can get the basic cited right now.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure in time, unless there's somebody who, like, on their side, like the Obama situation where all of a sudden this guy comes in and, you know, wows everybody, like Trump did, you know, he was, yeah.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: He did that to them.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: He got them all excited and, you know, clearly, we also what happened as a result.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: But usually that lightning doesn't strike twice.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I can't say that it won't, but I just don't see anybody on the Republican side having any charisma or ability to unite them.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: If Trump is no longer their leader for whatever reason.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: From your mouth to you know, our higher
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you know what I'm just going to send for years ears to their ears.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to throw this in for just because you mentioned your little spiritual thing.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: I was watching and I have a spiritual thing to would I talk about that last time we talked about spirituality.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, my own belief, I hope I'm saying her name correctly.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: She interviewed.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember this guy's name, but he is a NASA physicist and it's fascinating.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, it's like this interview is so long.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's had to be I think three or four different videos and they're like an hour and a half each I listen to the first one.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't listen to all of them, but just to kind of touch on what you're talking about as far as.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: how spirituality is kind of helping you.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: I heard him say that like, he was coming from the quantum point of view, and so I mean, I said yes, not, I don't want you to think that I, yes, I understand that entire field, but yes, I got rid of that.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I don't.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: But he was just basically saying that it's kind of like a field of probabilities.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: So if everybody, and this is what gets me about fucking Democrats and they're,
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: your attitudes.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's like they automatically jump to the worst case scenario and what he was saying is like okay let's just use the example of wanting a lottery.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say I'm I say I'm going to win the lottery.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: I intend to win the lottery.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's my intention and it's going to happen.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how it's going to happen, but I'm just trusting that it's going to happen.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so that's going to affect the
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: Quantum probability.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: So let's say, you know, whatever those odds are one in three gazillion, well, maybe now because you have that intention it changes the odds and puts the odds a little bit more in your favor.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: But if I tell Bob, hey, I want to I'm going to win the lottery and he thinks that's just fucking bullshit.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Then his energy of thinking that's never going to happen is also going to affect.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: that field.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: So for those of you who kind of think this is an interesting idea or even buy into it, stop putting out the negative shit.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're making a good point.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: You're making an excellent point.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing about it is that, um,
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Oprah has embraced many horrible, you know, I like Oprah, but she's embraced many horrible people and so when she did the secret, the whole problem was like, no, you don't create your own reality, you create, you create, you are adding to the reality.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: So you have influenced on your own, but you have influenced on the reality.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: I like what you're saying and I,
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, again, I don't want to get this into a very, very stern discussion about my personality, I turned into a Baptist.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, but my spirituality is maybe because I'm reaching 70.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be 70.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Why should not be, what's my choice not to be spiritual, but no, I do, I really do believe that what you're saying.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: is true, and I don't know if we could win a lottery with it, but we could certainly change the energy.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's the whole point.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if we come from the point of view that we're doomed, then that is going to be what we act from.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: But if we come from the point of view that things can get better, then we will act from that.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: And those actions will be different.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not a woo-woo situation.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's like if you just believed, like,
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: If you have faith in something, I have faith that democracy will get better.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: Then instead of just throwing your hands up in the air and going, everything's fucked, well maybe you'll go because you have this belief that it's going to get better or at least intention, then you go out and do something, maybe you go protest, maybe you go, you know, money for a food bank and you add to that energy of things getting better.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: And the more we do that, the more of us that do that, the more we see that change.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: And Democrats are so good at it, just focusing on it.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're toast, it's over.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm very philosophical about this, is that I've had a lovely life, I live in Los Angeles.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I say to the irony, it's okay, I go ahead.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: Take us out, take us out and send the ego.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: And San Diego.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's amazing to me.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he knows each day.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: He may know two or three words tries to incorporate them into his Yeah, hideous life And his hideous life.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: I need him so much, but okay, wait, I'm gonna just be all over.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: So what's the weather like today in LA?
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's so beautiful today, you know, it's really beautiful.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's nice.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that I, but I'm a, I think I've told you this.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an ex New Yorker who every time it snowed when I was a kid.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: There was a one in the million chance that they closed the school.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I have to do missed the four seasons, but I never had to drive and snow.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, is it?
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, so it's not hot there today?
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, that's right.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to tell you something Kimberly, and I know maybe this is too personal, but I have the greatest air conditioner in my house.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: My wife, years ago, it's a rude, it's not rude, it's a rude.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes I'll go down, they get the mail, and I'll see people collapsing on the street, and yes.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's been very, very hot, but not in my life.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, well, that's, you know, I'm on the East Coast right now.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: And the summer is just so fucking awful.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: Today's actually a hot day for the fall.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's, I think it's going up to 80, but it's not humid.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: And it's, it's little bubble.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: We've had some days in the 60s and I'm so I love it so much and the leaves are changing and I plug and love it.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I miss LA so much, you don't even know.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: I miss it so much.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, I've been listening for like the past six months.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: I've been listening to, I love LA by Randy Newman,
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: That video because I'm originally from Maryland, but then my mom moved me out to Southern California in 77 and I stayed there until 2009.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, actually, I know that was 78.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, we're totally twins.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're twins.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: But so I really feel like that's who I am, but I did always miss the fall.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: And so at this time of year, I'm always glad I'm here.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not glad I'm here during the summer.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: But I like, I do like the coldness.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, winter time, I like it a lot.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: And like you, I don't have to drive, because I have it, I just work from home.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I also, I don't have to drive to home.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: And also, you just want to say one thing that, you know, that song is generally sarcastic, but I also love sixth street.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: We love it, we love it, we love it.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you know what?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: When, okay, I don't know if you remember how long it's been since you've seen that video.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: But toward the end of the video, they have, it's, you know, it's like the Levernan, Levernan Shirley sound stage, and they have that big donut shop, I can't remember what it would be on us, and these donuts.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just, it is so indicative of that, when we first moved there, one of my mother's first jobs was answering fan mail for William Schatner.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so somehow she knew this woman, and my mother was in love with William Shutter.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she loved Star Trek, and she had a crush on Captain Kirk and all that.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: So it was kind of funny that she answered this fan, though.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: But the woman, she's like a very nice guy.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a nice guy.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: She met him once and he was super nice, but anyway, I really am.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: I know how he could be, but he was super nice to her.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I've heard he's been I've heard he's had he's kind of a cool sometimes, but okay, but I remember like when we first moved there because her friend worked in the biz we got tickets to go to these softball games in the valley with like happy days and the Vernon surely and Morgan Mindy.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: And so all of it was so great.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, I'm nine years old.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody was like running around, getting all their autographs.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I would get their autographs, but I never gave a shit about autographs.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd get them in a long, firm way.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: But that was so much fun.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: And when I see that video, it brings me back to that time.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: I just, there's nothing like, wasn't LA in the,
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: I would say like between 77 and like 80 somewhere in the age like prime fucking LA it was so awesome.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: It was awesome.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's I mean it's still got it's beauty, but it's different.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's still guys think, but now people said that it was right before I'm like, I went in 78 they were like, no.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: It was the the earlier days you know that kind of stuff, but maybe I I'm I'm with you I was glad to get I was glad to get out here, but the my first movie I was just so depressed because the pizza you can't eat the pizza But now the food is approved the pizza is that and I couldn't understand how everything was in a strip mall Everything right.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but no, I mean that's like a cross America
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: This is, this is, this is, this is the, this is the magical, it's the magical land down here.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then you miss it.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: One day we have to go back.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I have Bob and I have to go back and I want to go so fucking bad.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I'm switching gears here again.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I want to talk to you about Sebastian Maniscollo.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Is that, I think it's Maniscollo.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Man is Scout Go.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even care enough to get his name correct.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Man of Scout Go.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I I'm gonna leave you as the authority on this.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Tell everybody what he did and then I just want you to talk shit because he's okay.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I don't really know.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't really look.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: All I know about the Sebastian Maniskalko before this happened was that he over acts his comedy out so much that he occasionally ends up in a different room.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's over the top.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I never really understood what the thing was.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the, and the
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: So basically what's happened is is that they used to have this channel called raw dog on series and they would showcase all of these different comedians and now he has it's the first well why what's it what does that mean the Sebastian Manascalco channel should be a small tiny channel that just plays Sebastian Manascalco will be a curator
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: I used to have a joke a year ago, so my friends and I were sitting around Yes, so they think what I'm gonna do it all this money we've made stand-up Come and I say why I think sometimes I have to talk the club on or keep a little for that house Right and then so all my friends were sitting around there He said, you know, you got to invest in Google and like an idiot.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: I suck my money into ask a jeet
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: I sat in to ask you, who knew?
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, so comics are scraping by.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: And so they really do rely on these royalties that you get from people listening to their comedy.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: But that does not fly in America right now.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: You can, there's too many people, too many people.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: I am very uncomfortable with all these people being able to pay their bills.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just went to his channel and again, I just can't understand the Sebastian Manascacco channel should be, it should be all over the top Italian comedians.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it should be, right?
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not saying, I'm not saying anti-tiny because you could put Jews in there, too, but whatever the thing is, it's all I could put Jews in there.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what I say, Kimberly, no tin ya, I say no tin ya, who?
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I say, no tin ya.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: So everybody got very, very upset about this.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what's going to happen, but I guess he had some kind of weird overall deal with somebody.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Everything today is part of an overall deal.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, we're going to ruin this section of comedy because we're bringing in a new house or a remodel.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't sound terrible to me.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think everyone's very upset about it and I hope something is done.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think anything's going to get done?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but I just just in case people don't know what he did is, yeah, he bought this.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it was called, it was Syriac's serious XM.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's called Raw Comedy, but they changed it to Raw Dog, I guess?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like that either.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't like Raw Dog either.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, but that was just the thing where you could, you could, he's a here, moral, turn to the
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny Carson, this kind of thing.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it says it, the pool went from over 800 to under 300.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: And it severely impacts worse working class comics.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: I did see a female comic, a woman comic, I should say, who was talking about this.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I love comedy so much.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't make any money.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just starting out, and this channel was great, and now he's killed it.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so, I mean, the other thing about him, really fucking pisses me off.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: say that again, do he go to react?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't know.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's not what pissed me off.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: If he did know what it was was what's his name, Joe Rogan told a lie about some teacher who put a litter box in the class.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the furries, the furries, and that, you know, kids allowing kids to dress as furries and dresses cats.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: So, and that turned out to be not true and basically the reason any teachers ever put litter boxes in a fucking classroom is just in case there was a mass shooter and they had to lock themselves in the classroom and kids could go to the bathroom in the litter.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they had it because of fucking mass shootings.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: So instead, Joe Rogan takes this and turns it into, oh, yeah, the teachers are accepting all the any student they want to dress up as a furry and go pee in the corner and the litter box, which is not true.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: And then Maniskelko grabbed that and after Joe Rogan, you know, finally admitted that that wasn't a true story.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: He just Maniskelko just incorporated it into his routine and never told the truth about it.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that is the, that's the, he should be banned, well, you know, here's the thing.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: The Joe, I've decided that I'm putting my act in recovery, right?
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm actually a step one.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm powerless over the ability to get consistent laughs.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: Step two, I came to believe that a power greater than myself.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: Step three, I came to,
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: feel that Joe Rogan was in charge of my, I could get comedy in Nirvana through Joe Rogan.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so, and step four, a fearless and moral inventory, but then I threw that out and didn't all kinds of horrible dick jokes.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the thing uses that, this Joe Rogan, and he, you know, the fact that Manus Gauko would do this, it's, I don't even know what beyond the
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's always appropriate to just hate Joe Rogan for these things, because he does these things he did with the South African farmer, as these people come out, it's interesting, he's just asking questions, and then he's perpetuating these, and look at him, and I like when people, I never believe that he was going to go for Bernie anyway.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: But the thing is he, you know, he was briefly for Bernie, but yeah, so a pox on if if they have Separate houses a pox on both of them.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 100% to bastion and yeah Sebastian and whatever it was he acting out.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he was a phoos like a litter box.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, it's just that's I guess that's all he's doing is he's getting rid of
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: this platform for middle class comics who need to earn a living and you know he's just an asking the whole thing is like I just want to say and I've said this before I appreciate your stance on calling out the asshole comics and there's a bunch of them and there's a lot of misogyny in comedy and you're one of the you and like Marin you guys call it out and I'm you know
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: Luis C. K. because you know he there was that whole thing with Jen Kirkman and I'm not going to get into the details of it.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: But basically he abused his power.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: Did he rape people?
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: Not that we've ever heard of, but he abused his power as the male comic trying to get laid and making women female comics feel under pressure.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: So ultimately is if you don't fuck me, you don't have a career.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: Same thing in acting.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: And so he's got a special now or he's getting work again and it's like everybody fucking forgot.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing and you know, and it's like Bob had once said to me when we were doing a podcast, he's like, well, should somebody be punished for the rest of their life or it's like, no, he should have the ability to work, but he shouldn't have the ability to work and fucking comedy anymore.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: He can go scuba ice cream or he can go be a janitor, you know?
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but here's the problem with him is that he lied.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: He said I have two people like who are I There's another guy who is in the same boat.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: He never apologized Okay, this is the disgusting thing about when the first half when he came out So I'm sorry for all of it.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry for all of it, but then he started to Construct this lie that he asked all these women if he could expose themselves
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: in front of him.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just a lie.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then Netflix who didn't do business with them, Netflix will do business with anybody, basically anybody.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so they can make money for a month again.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: But just that you know that the fact that people online think that he did apologize.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's like, what Bob saying is like,
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say you did do something horrible and you really did make a man's and you know, you went whole thing and then that would be one thing but but the fact that he's lied and people think he got away with that lie.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's just as despicable and the other one is Shane Gillis because Shane Gillis is right hosting Saturday night live again.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: I got a lot of blowback
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: on Instagram, people thought I was going crazy.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: I had a couple of weeks where I was going a little, I mean, what was the concept?
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: But he, I found this conversation that he had with his friend about Chinatown and it's completely horribly racist, like two racist friends talking about how much they can't, and they hate Chinese people and they sabotage us with MSG.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: And they're gone.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so he was rightly fired from China.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then he scrubbed the internet of this whole thing.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: I found it, and I keep putting it up, if anybody wants to know, I keep putting it up, the actual conversation, and he kept, he tried to say that, oh no, no, he was working on material, and he was, and then Lauren Michaels who could be the worst human being in the universe, he lets him back on to host the show, and unfortunately I had to watch the documentary long, it was really horrible.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: Lorne is saying to Steve Martin in this documentary.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know why I didn't agree with firing him in the first place Wow, that's the thing.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know First of all, maybe Lorne never even heard this horrible thing where they're Using the C word for Chinese people and this has been a tradition where comics have used Groups that they don't think they're going to get blowback from To go after them
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: you know and so they figure well how many Chinese people are there and so he's going to host Saturday night live again and there is this horrible movement of these well you know like a hinge cliff all of these people I don't know who that one is oh Tony hinge cliff is the is the comical who performed at the Republican convention and
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the hypocrisy is the hypocrisy.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing that I will say that's positive is that Louis C.K.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: has to live the rest of his life is Louis C.K., which I would say.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're very, very painful.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you have a little luck, good.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's what my mom one time had an argument with this woman at work and this woman was just horrible and I think my mother said to her, how did she say she goes, every day I get she goes, my revenge on you is that every day I get to wake up and be me and every day you have to wake up and be you.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, he could Louis Cica has to be Louis Cica and I won't be watching anything.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: He does any more Yeah, I couldn't I was I used to talk about him.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: I hated and I just talk about I hate them before I had there was any reason to you know, I've had with him for many many years because Yeah, because on his old show the Louis show he would have Get into these weird sexual things.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: They were he was always the passive listener or the passive receiver
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: And the little did we know that he was the perpetrator.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, that's just, it's so disappointing.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, we just keep, you know, we keep seeing it.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm saying this again, like thank you for standing up against people like that because ever since Donald Trump came down the escalator, it's not that he started all this shit, but he's made it worse.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: And he's made it okay to say these things about women and all the things that are happening right now.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to get into the really horrible stuff because you're a fun guest and I don't want to go dark on the show, but it's like, you know, he's Donald Trump gave permission to so many people to just be the ugliest versions of themselves and we're seeing that play out.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just, it makes me happy to see men like you and men like Mark Marin standing up.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: for not just women but you know for everything because also i just saw that fucking and i i did not read the story and i don't know enough about it but he's i guess Chris rock is complaining about wokeness have you seen that oh god i don't pull are you serious yeah and it has to do with sign fell did it too sign fell did that a few years ago too yeah yeah it's just what is he saying
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I have something, maybe it's AOC, I think, and I told you, I did not read the story, but I know it's correlated with AOC or something like that, and I don't know it's like, how is it that some, I mean, I guess Chris Rock has been famous for so long that, you know, he just is in the bubble now.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's just in the bubble and he doesn't see outside of it.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: At one time, at very long time ago, you know, he was an unknown,
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: an unknown guy trying to make it and now he's like known and he's got all his money and he's got his prestige and all that shit and now he's just turning it, you know, he was the one who fucking told on Cosby and and said, uh, wasn't it him?
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think like cop didn't know he's kind of a bird.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was Hannah.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want us to mix up black people because we'll get letters.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: It was Hannah Bell.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was Hannah Bell.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: It was Hannah Bell.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: It was why people could do that.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: We just don't know sometimes.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was Hannah Bell Burris.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: He did, but I thought that I thought that
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: I was, wait, let me think, was it, because it had a real.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, it was Eddie Murphy.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Eddie Murphy, that he was.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Eddie Murphy said that, uh, that caused me called him up and, oh, okay, I remember that from his, yes, yes, that was a standout, yes, but most recently, it was Hannibal at a club, saying, this guy has, he's not not recently, but when it first came out, talking about how he's always like, pull your pants up.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: uh... caused me and right so that he he's the one who really uh... brought it out but you know it's like the years of things probably really disgusting about comedians is that uh... people they don't want to
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're afraid that they're going to say something misogynist one day or that that's where they get into this now You can't say anything anymore because they're they're so scared because these a lot of comments think like Like you have the right to say whatever you want to come like like working your bases always saying horrible things But then you don't have the right thing you don't have the right for people to not be able to hate you
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right, yeah.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: The people have the right to their opinions on what you're saying.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: The free speech ends when you are seems to end with your reaction to their hideous material.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, we can all remember, I guess it was in the late 80s when Andrew Dice Clay made the joke about having sex with his own daughter.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody's like, OK, now, that's too far.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: And he pretty much didn't survive after that.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: And that was he also, he was also a siren I live.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: And he's not strong, I need another thing that Lauren sponsored.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: Just the worst, it's like, if you read his comedy about gay people, you would have to call the police.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: He was the war all on to the guys.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm joking around.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure that was not a good dice.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm douging around.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well, God, he was so popular and everybody thought he was so funny even, you know, even doing his racist shit because that was back in the what like the 80s and then yeah, he jokes about because there were and what I'm saying is in the 80s people accepted racist jokes.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: in a way they do not accept out and I'm glad that we don't, but that at the time was accepted.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody laughed and thought it was so funny, maybe not everybody, but you know what I mean.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then he makes the joke about his daughter and everybody's like, okay, that's pretty too far.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then he basically got canceled.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not a hundred percent, but yeah.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: Because he also did that stupid movie.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember the name of it, but Leah Thompson was in it.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, and I don't know if that was before or after but that don't remember seeing him that was early I think that was earlier on then he did because not do he's big a low.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: He did some other kind of move
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I don't know, but I'm, you know, I'm going to go back to this whole thing.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, and I want to ask you this because you do stand up, right?
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: You stand up and you say things that aren't always so popular.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I know, you know, all we keep hearing, all we keep seeing for good reason on the Internet right now because of the Cornell 7 because of Epstein files, because I don't know there was that woman that kind of that Democratic candidate who was trying to repair some signs
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: We're, you know, what we're seeing a lot of is men and women making Kelly.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Megan Kelly being one of them pushing back against it and and, you know, whoa, we don't want to blame all the men and all these men stop blaming all the men.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, oh my god, but you're one of the men who stand up against that and I just kind of want you to talk about that because how how does it make you feel like I'm sure there have been instances when you have stood up for the good, but it has felt horrible because of the way you've been treated.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well, I mean, just recently, I mean, if I go against over, you know, say things again, Shane Gillis, I mean, you, the blowback on the things that people say, okay, I'll give you an example.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: I can't, I, I really despise Ricky Drabass and so, and I despise his, his comedy and about, you know, quote comedy.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: And he's always doing the, he does this horrible fat shaming.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: fat-chaming jokes.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so I mentioned that he, you know, my sister, I said, you know, my sister did pass away when she was, I think prematurely at 69.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: And she was put on a 900 calorie day diet when she was 16.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: She struggled with, I saw from her point of view how society views weight.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, I'm being people, I got people saying like, oh, with 69, her body mass
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: So now, I have to say that I know this is coming, so I'm not going to get, you know, I know it's somebody in this basement, but just in fact that there's so much anger and so much people seem to still love bullying.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just, it's very distressing, but hopefully,
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: hopefully the cream rises in Hollywood, the cream rises to the surface.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_00]: They take it off and they've put in a vault.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I know that it's it's exhausting.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I mean, I started my, I don't know, my online presence.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: in, you know, basically feminism and talking and my actually I wrote an open letter to Rush Limbaugh from a liberal slut and that was my entry into the political arena online and I know, you know, I've been everything from a sarcastic big mouth.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: who just cracks jokes or whatever to, you know, being an activist for the equal rights amendment and, you know, doing some actual real stuff instead of just saying, you know, sarcastic shit online.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I have absolutely pulled back.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like, you know, in 2014, I was going or actually 2013, I was going after Democratic senators and representatives who were not supporting a resolution, it was just a resolution to name a required vote, supporting a resolution to, I guess, get rid of the ridiculous deadline that had been attached to the ERA and get rid of that whole
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: the whole thing right and and because at that time we were like three short three state shy where we've got them all now but of course there's still problems but anyway um all of this what I'm trying to say here is it's like you know I've been I've been talking about women's issues now since online since I guess it was 2012 and it's just exhausting and in some cases
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: And they're not arguing and they're not getting defensive and saying stop saying old man and you know and all this shit because it's like whenever I hear white women voted for Trump I don't freak out because white women as a voting block voted for Trump I didn't my mother didn't but I'm not going to be so delicate and defensive that I can't understand that when you say men you know hurt women obviously I'm fucking in a relationship with a man he doesn't hurt me.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you hurt women, so I know all men don't hurt women.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: I like the way you say, I don't think you're going to wear your shirt.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I haven't, I'm almost positive you don't, but I can't be sure because I don't know you, right?
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: And also I'm a man who knows, but the thing is, well, the thing is, even these jokes, like even the thing, see that the, the hideousness is such a vast relief with every of the things.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: the idea that anybody would ever say that being woke was a negative on any level.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I'm still shocked.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: The word is always positive.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: Every single, you know, whether it's, whether it's, whether it's, I don't take no those because it's not woke enough.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's always positive and they've turned this into a negative and such a lie.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: I did think that I did think that massage, here's the hope, like he would talk about in the 80s.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: In the 80s, Ellen DeGeneres couldn't say she was gay, male comics couldn't say they were gay.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: So there has been a lot of positive motion.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think what happens is they keep trying to find other groups to others and
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you see someone like Martina Navarz, hello, go crazy against trans people in sports, using the same argument.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care about the sports part.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: But using the same argument that was used against her, is disappointing.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: But hopefully we are,
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: Always transitioning towards the bet.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's a lie because I thought that I thought we would never have someone like Reagan or Nixon again And we got somebody worse.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then we got some way worse.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so the maybe you can't have that it's always gonna go down But then you can come back up
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I, yes, and I do think that and like going back to this whole idea of probability and the quantum field like what what I do with Donald Trump because he's so awful and I I really don't like spending my time feeling hate but he makes me feel hate I hate what he does I hate what he represents I hate everything about him, but instead of like just swimming in only that hate.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: What I'm choosing, I should say, choosing to see this as, you know, and I've said this before, but prior to Donald Trump, you know, we had all these problems that were never going to get solved, like citizens united and, you know, we had the whole occupied Wall Street movement and everything that was wanted in that movement was just, you know, we'd get petitions and we get a lot of traction online, but nothing was actually happening in the real world.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Donald Trump came and he destroyed everything.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it gives us an opportunity to rebuild it and change it for the better.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's up to us to do.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: There's no guarantee that's going to happen.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a good, a great way to look at it because again, you think that nobody would, he wouldn't get one vote, right?
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: But the truth is he really, you know, it's like $7 a gallon for diesel.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's done every single thing.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: to make anybody with, and a lot of these people are turning on him now.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: But the points who don't, or just, but just basically have always been racist or Nazis.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's just, they're not going to, they go, oh no, I like it.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they do.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: And if they can admit it to themselves, they'll like something else about him, or whatever, but that's what it all boils down to.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I told you we were going to talk about the
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I won't say anything as far as profiting what I think or what anyone else thinks.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: But my first question is about Texas.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's like the big one, right?
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: If we can win Texas, holy shit.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think how confident if you are at all confident?
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: Because the polls are showing promising signs for Tallahoreco.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think he can win?
- 46:12[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think he will win?
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think he can win, but I only reason the stops me is that I've felt this way before.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I've been wrong, but I think, I think, Talleriko will win in Texas.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: But he wants you to think.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: I was the one in 2016.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: He is no way he's going to win.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: So anything bad can happen.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, I remember Anne Richards, and I remember a better time in the, and not a better time in this country.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think,
- 46:42[SPEAKER_00]: I do think he will lose Texas.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: The thing that's, and the thing that's making me happy, but I don't want anybody to not go vote is, you know, he's losing, he could lose in the brass or Kansas or something like that.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, I do think, but, you know, Texas has the worst
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: And literally we know, okay, I'll put Ken Pax in that.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: But at some point, I think that Bado came pretty close, right?
- 47:19[SPEAKER_00]: So if Bado came close, I think Talerego's going to win.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think there's, you know, Bob thinks he's going to win, and Bob is pretty conservative when he makes any kind of predictions.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: So like I, you know, I was completely wrong in 2024 thinking Kamu is going to win.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: Although I have to say, I think she would have won, but not if there was no cheating, I think she would have won.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, all the cheating, you know, any kind of illegal cheating and then the legal cheating and all about, but we do know Democrats state home, which I didn't expect that they were going to do.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought she was going to win big.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: She's one, it was just a horrible thing to happen.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's like, because I really can't stand people like Jay Tapper who's like, I know, I mean, you know, well, the book, Biden knew, and look, this happened.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_00]: He wants to get...
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: sick and a lot of touch, whatever, but it happened and so anything that was going to happen was going to be a tricky thing, but it doesn't make any excuses for anybody who didn't vote for her.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the thing is it's so hard for me because I really do think Biden screwed up really bad with Netanyahu and so she wasn't even before the election not really coming out that much.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: do she can't like she was stuck she was stuck now that I turned against against the Israeli government thank god yeah and I mean just everybody needs to be clear in case you haven't heard me say I am just anti-netanyahu tell well I'm Jewish and I'm a lot to be but I think it's my whole life when I went to temple I was a kid nothing but propaganda
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: The state of Israel was created in 1948 and there were people who lived in the area before them, but they liked to move around these people were not excited, they couldn't grow a flower.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: It was all this propaganda.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: And it was meant even my father, people...
- 49:20[SPEAKER_00]: who said this is going to be a problem you know and I come from a family of Jews it's going to be a problem if you're going to have if you are not going to accept that the Palestinians have the rights to have just like the Jews and they'd never really have accepted that and so I don't know.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_00]: I hope for a better future.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I just, you know, and I feel like I understand the anger all around, but I feel like I wish some of that anger would be focused here to fix this problem, because we all live here.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_01]: I know we all share a world and everything, but, you know, politics and keeping it.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: over here.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's what over on this, this country is supposed to be such a big influential country and they're basically helping Netanyahu.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, I hate that fucking subject because I hate the Democrats are getting so divided amongst themselves in it.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I just will, I refuse to participate because I just, I'm not, you know, I feel confident in my own beliefs and then I'm just going to end it there.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're right, and the other thing is that I do think it's a different atmosphere now.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think now the regardless of if people are going to say terrible things about Mandami or whatever their racism is, it's still, it's not going to be going forward a pack and those people are not going to have as much influence, because we, anybody can see that he's the Trump of Israel.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I do in keeping with my idea that we're going to overcome fascism.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: It seems to be even Republicans know they're going to get shoalact.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: And once again, we can depend on
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: whatever they're going to do, whether it's false flags, cheating, intimidation, whatever, they're going to do what they can do.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think it's going to work, and especially if we have really high gas prices because it seems to be like grocery prices and gas prices are more important to anybody than anything.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: whether it's rape or murder or it's like, if I have to pay more for my gas, oh my god, I'm so angry.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that the gas prices in the grocery prices are really going to bring out people to the polls.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: So my question do you want this?
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I know you're not in Oracle, but I don't care because I'm going to ask you anyway, because you're a superstar and superstars know everything.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think we're going to, do you think we're going to get the Senate?
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I do.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_00]: And here's the thing.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: I really think we're going to get the Senate.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_00]: Carter lost because Carter lost I thought I you know Carter may have had his own problems I really admired him as a person and but he was saying we have to deal with this energy stuff and people were you know people were in line to get gas yeah I remember Reagan sweeping the off so it isn't he's not they're not going to be immune
- 52:22[SPEAKER_00]: Even though the lag thing is a horrible, they're not going to be immune to this.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_00]: People, as you say, we got like a car, a lot of things he paid for was how much the interest rates and all the stuff got out of the control.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: And there was no way that he could win in 1980.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_00]: And actually, he didn't lose quite a lot of money and then there were the hostages and all this kind of thing.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be...
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think it is going to be a land, as Stevie Nicks would say, and the land slide would be down.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: I want to tell you, because I'm not going to keep you for too much longer.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I can't remember if I ever told you my stupid Brad Schneider story that never went anywhere, and it's a dumb story.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_01]: Did I ever tell you that?
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, but who's Brad Schneider?
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know who he is, right?
- 53:15[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, Brad, okay.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: You were on the show with him.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_00]: Brad, Garrett.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: Garrett!
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I wrote Schneider and you know what?
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: I kept calling you the wrong name to Bob.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I kept calling, I was getting your name all fucked up.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I kept calling you Andy Schindler and Andy Wittler.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: Wicked her.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on with my fucking brain?
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're much more than me.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_00]: You're much more than me.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_00]: But this thing happens.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Brad Garrett Brad Garrett my stupid Brad Garrett story is that it really is going nowhere it's a stupid story, but I just When I was let's see what year it was it must have been like 2008 and I was selling giftware for stupid fucking company called gans and one of my clients, I guess new Brad.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember I was like, how tall is he?
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, six eight or something.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: How tall is he?
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is six eight or six eight.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: Literally six eight.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm six feet tall.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, it's, it's, it was hard to find people who were tall.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was, I kept trying to get her to, to like give him my number, something to see if I might be interesting going out and nothing ever happened.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that's my Brad Garrett story.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_01]: Every time I see him like I try to go out with him, but I never really had a crush on him or anything I just was like, hey, I want to go out with Brad Garrett.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's tall.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's tall.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think I told you this story probably.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was at the improv and I was flirting with this woman back in the 80s.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: And she was we were flirting.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: I was standing on a stair, she was standing on a stair.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: All of a sudden I stepped down, she's like five-ten, right?
- 55:04[SPEAKER_00]: So for one shining moment, I could see above the crowd and I could see the ladies looking up at me.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, I have gone out with since then.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: I went out with, because I'm, like I said, six feet.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: I went out with somebody.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was five, eight.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm five, five in the half.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know, these come back with someone of my size.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: Don't give me the five in.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_00]: My friends call me Sanco D'Amyo, because my friend Boris calls me that, because I'm five, five and a half.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm comfortable with it though.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_00]: I like it on airplanes.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_01]: I know we'll see, and Bob is six four, and he's not comfortable on airplanes and neither am I. Wow, well, what a couple, literally a power couple you are.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's a power forward.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we are, we are the power couple.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: We are the, the, the, the, the, the new millennium power couple.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: So great.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know Bob was that tall, but this is what, this is what my whole life I go.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I know he was that tall.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I know that tall.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm even shorter than Kevin Hart.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine that.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: But you're funnier.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_01]: And you're more cool.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're cooler.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, I don't like the blanket the airways with terrible commercials.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: You don't.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_01]: And you are cherry pie all emotes.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not going to do gambling, I'm not doing gambling commercials.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like anyone's asking me.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not doing that.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: So if somebody asked you, hey, we want you to do a commercial for gambling, you're going to tell them now.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I really don't want to do it.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_00]: And now the thing is, what if I'm starving?
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: What if it's like a right thing?
- 56:49[SPEAKER_00]: But I just, I find it something about it.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's like cigarettes almost to me.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_01]: Gambling is fun.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_01]: I never got into the only times when I went to Vegas.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think I went to that other place I can't remember what it's called.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's another gambling place on the Lost Garden or something like that.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not often.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's a place with snow
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: arena or three-note.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I was in Reno.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_01]: That sucked, man.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but it was like I get addicted basically all I do is slot machines and I just get addicted.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: I get addicted if I play a slot machine on my computer and I win nothing.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I can't really summarize by it.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, I agree with it and I like it and I actually every week still the biggest like once a year or everything you know, I put aside 600 dollars and you know you're going to lose it, but then it is it is fun, but this idea that They're all during the sports they're going it's 20% chance this guy's gonna get hit right like they want you to put the bet down right there
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I never did that.
