- 0:15Speaker 1: It's I Do Part two, and it's Alexis Billino and
- 0:17Speaker 1: Joe Dala Rosa, both from Royal Housewives of Orange County,
- 0:22Speaker 1: co hosting this episode today. And we are here today
- 0:25Speaker 1: to discuss my recent wedding and also get some juice
- 0:30Speaker 1: from Joe about her wedding in twenty twenty two.
- 0:33Speaker 2: So it's going to be a good day.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Hi Joe, Hello, missus Jansen.
- 0:41Speaker 2: It's so funny to hear that I still am not
- 0:43Speaker 2: used to it. It makes me sweat a little.
- 0:45Speaker 3: I know, I'm still literally in the clouds from your wedding,
- 0:49Speaker 3: so me too.
- 0:50Speaker 4: You know, first of all, I have so much to
- 0:53Speaker 4: talk to you about, so many questions because we haven't
- 0:55Speaker 4: really caught up from the wedding since the wedding.
- 0:56Speaker 2: But so I want the audience to get to know
- 0:59Speaker 2: a little bit about you.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And obviously I just said you were married in twenty
- 1:02Speaker 1: twenty two and I was at your wedding, and then
- 1:05Speaker 1: here we are full circle, right Well, sirch but you
- 1:09Speaker 1: know this is I Do Part two and you're not
- 1:11Speaker 1: a Part two or because you've this is your first marriage.
- 1:13Speaker 1: But we all don't get the first time right like
- 1:16Speaker 1: you did. Okay, So just curious. You were married in
- 1:19Speaker 1: your forties though, So what was it like experiencing that
- 1:23Speaker 1: when a lot of I mean, it's forty is really
- 1:25Speaker 1: the new thirty, but people start getting married at twenty
- 1:27Speaker 1: and thirty.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So what did that feel like for you? Or did
- 1:30Speaker 2: not anything?
- 1:31Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:31Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:32Speaker 3: I think yeah, it was definitely different, like waiting to
- 1:36Speaker 3: get married older. I feel like I got to live
- 1:39Speaker 3: a lot more life in terms of like my single
- 1:41Speaker 3: days and like figuring out who I was without like
- 1:44Speaker 3: a significant other from a marriage perspective, right, And also
- 1:49Speaker 3: I didn't get it right the first time in the
- 1:52Speaker 3: sense of, like you you remember, she's been engaged three
- 1:56Speaker 3: times and third time was the time for me?
- 1:59Speaker 2: You know what this should be. This should be called
- 2:02Speaker 2: I do Part two or engage part three.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Literally, and I'll be the expert on that.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You're right, you didn't get it right the first time. Okay,
- 2:10Speaker 1: well yeah, cuche but yeah, okay, So my question to
- 2:14Speaker 1: you is, like you just called me missus Jansen, Like
- 2:17Speaker 1: was it weird for you at first? Or I mean,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I know you go by great or you know Jala
- 2:22Speaker 1: Rosa still some and you have Gray as your legal name,
- 2:25Speaker 1: but like, yeah, was.
- 2:26Speaker 2: It weird for you?
- 2:27Speaker 1: Because right now it's weird when people say, and I
- 2:28Speaker 1: still go, it's Alexis Bilino calling to get Miles out
- 2:31Speaker 1: of fifth period, you know, and I'm like, I mean Janssen,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you know.
- 2:34Speaker 5: But yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 3: It definitely took some getting used to. I think in
- 2:38Speaker 3: the beginning I wanted to be Dala Rosa Gray because
- 2:42Speaker 3: I was like, oh, well, you know, uh, Kim Kardashian
- 2:46Speaker 3: did Kim Kardashian West, Not that I'm like a Kim Kardashian,
- 2:49Speaker 3: but you know what I mean, Like, there's people with
- 2:51Speaker 3: long last names that also added another last name, where
- 2:54Speaker 3: like Kardashian Barker, right, not as using the Kardashians as
- 2:59Speaker 3: an egg for last name marriage, but yes I did.
- 3:03Speaker 5: And I was like, well, if they have long names.
- 3:05Speaker 3: You know, two together, then maybe I'll try it too.
- 3:08Speaker 3: But then it got a little bit annoying when you're
- 3:10Speaker 3: like talking to like banks or like credit card whatever
- 3:13Speaker 3: it is, and you're like Dela Rosa Gray and then
- 3:16Speaker 3: you're spelling it. So that lasted for about a good
- 3:18Speaker 3: six months, and then I got over that really quick.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I ended up going back to just Dela Rosa, and
- 3:25Speaker 3: I'm still Gray, like legally with all of my like
- 3:29Speaker 3: personal stuff banking, credit cards and stuff like that. And
- 3:32Speaker 3: it's cute because they go, like, mister and missus Gray,
- 3:35Speaker 3: your table's ready at.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Like reservations, you know. Yeah, so yeah, what about you?
- 3:39Speaker 5: Do you feel like.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You it's actually the same or hyphenating or just no,
- 3:45Speaker 1: we talked about that, but I feel like I am
- 3:47Speaker 1: in the same boat as you, exactly what you just said.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I'm sat there going, gosh, that's how I feel too.
- 3:51Speaker 2: But like we.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Talked about hyphenating it, it was, you know, John's like,
- 3:55Speaker 1: but you're you're you're you know, you're a Jansen now,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and so I'm like, I get it, You're right I am.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And also, so you know, my my career is kind
- 4:02Speaker 1: of Billino, and I know that Tamra had to go
- 4:04Speaker 1: through this when she switched to Judge.
- 4:06Speaker 2: So I'm just trying to figure all of all of
- 4:08Speaker 2: that out.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But I am legally a Jansen, so everything will be
- 4:11Speaker 1: converted to Jansen. I mean, and I did take his
- 4:14Speaker 1: last name, but I am in that weird interim. You know,
- 4:17Speaker 1: I'm only what four days married, five days married, So no,
- 4:20Speaker 1: Tomorrow's a week, so six days married. So so I
- 4:24Speaker 1: think I'll get I think it'll get there. It's just
- 4:25Speaker 1: gonna take a little bit of time for me to
- 4:27Speaker 1: figure out that and navigate that, and maybe I'll get
- 4:30Speaker 1: so sick of it being like, no, I am all.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Likes this Billino because of my career. People think of
- 4:33Speaker 2: me from.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That career, and then I'll just you know, go for
- 4:36Speaker 1: that part of the time. And Jansen, you know, most
- 4:38Speaker 1: people know I'm Jansen.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I don't know. There's so much new right now.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Have you even recovered from the wedding, Like I was
- 4:43Speaker 1: so sore the next day all of.
- 4:46Speaker 3: The tequila at your tequila bar that we had, or
- 4:50Speaker 3: by we, I mean me.
- 4:52Speaker 5: I'm still recovering a little bit. I'm not gonna lie.
- 4:55Speaker 1: That was John's idea because all of his frat brothers,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you know, they love they love good tequila's and the
- 5:01Speaker 1: tequilas he wanted to serve the hotel the resort couldn't
- 5:03Speaker 1: get and so he did this tequila bar. And I
- 5:06Speaker 1: only partook in one of them because I'm not a
- 5:08Speaker 1: big tequila girl, and so but yeah, it was just
- 5:11Speaker 1: a cute idea. It was cute, so I'm sorry that
- 5:13Speaker 1: everyone hurt so bad the next day from that, Oh,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I mean worth it.
- 5:16Speaker 5: That's all I have to say it.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Oh wait, I feel like we're already talking about the reception, Like,
- 5:21Speaker 3: let's take this thing from the top. First of all,
- 5:24Speaker 3: let's talk about your ceremony. Oh my gosh, alexis that
- 5:29Speaker 3: ceremony was literally the most romantic thing. First of all,
- 5:34Speaker 3: I loved that you had you and John in the middle,
- 5:38Speaker 3: everybody around it, so you felt like everybody felt. It
- 5:42Speaker 3: was very like an immersive ceremony because it didn't matter
- 5:46Speaker 3: where you would sit, like where you were sitting, we
- 5:49Speaker 3: could see you. But the sweetest part you walking down
- 5:53Speaker 3: the aisle with your kids.
- 5:55Speaker 5: How did that feel?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Like?
- 5:57Speaker 5: What was that moment like?
- 5:58Speaker 3: Because the first time you didn't have kids time you
- 6:00Speaker 3: were married, So tell me a little bit about that.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It was, you know, the whole circle thing was is
- 6:05Speaker 1: the circle of love. We decided we wanted to try
- 6:07Speaker 1: something new and my wedding planner. I was like, is
- 6:09Speaker 1: this gonna work or is it a total flop? Like
- 6:11Speaker 1: John and I really wanted it to happen, And she goes,
- 6:13Speaker 1: we're trying it, Lex, We're gonna make it work. It's
- 6:14Speaker 1: such a creative idea, we're gonna make it work. And
- 6:17Speaker 1: so but my, So that's where that came from. And
- 6:19Speaker 1: I'm so glad that everyone has said that. I haven't
- 6:22Speaker 1: heard one person complain and say I couldn't really see
- 6:24Speaker 1: because I kind of thought, well, everyone kind of still
- 6:26Speaker 1: saw the back of someone. Someone saw the back of
- 6:27Speaker 1: the pastor, someone saw the back of my head, someone
- 6:29Speaker 1: saw the back of John's head. But you still do
- 6:31Speaker 1: feel because it wasn't as many rows back. You're not
- 6:33Speaker 1: ten rows back. It's three or four rows around, so
- 6:36Speaker 1: you're still, like you said, you're closer.
- 6:38Speaker 2: And then for the children, it was John.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And I both knew like the only wedding party we
- 6:43Speaker 1: were having were our six kids. So his children, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 1: if you saw that, his children walked him up with
- 6:47Speaker 1: the pastor, his daughter's arm in arm, and the sun
- 6:50Speaker 1: with the pastor. And then I got to see this
- 6:52Speaker 1: girl I got. I haven't got to share any of
- 6:54Speaker 1: these things I got. They we were up in my
- 6:56Speaker 1: holding room getting ready to bring me down and James goes, mom,
- 6:59Speaker 1: come here, and I go over and I see them
- 7:01Speaker 1: and I start crying, and everyone's like blowing in my
- 7:03Speaker 1: face and going stop stop, because it was so precious
- 7:05Speaker 1: to see John and his kids walking up. And then
- 7:08Speaker 1: I'm like, oh gosh, this is for like I'm literally
- 7:10Speaker 1: going down there right now, and so then get myself together.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And then walking down the aisle with my kids was
- 7:16Speaker 1: so surreal because Kenna was right in front, you know,
- 7:18Speaker 1: doing like dropping a couple of pedals when the pedals
- 7:20Speaker 1: we already there, but just to do something. And then
- 7:22Speaker 1: I was arm in arm with James and Miles, and
- 7:24Speaker 1: it was they were not nervous. I was like, this
- 7:26Speaker 1: is a big deal to ask teenagers, you know, around
- 7:28Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty people walking down the aisle with
- 7:31Speaker 1: your mom. The first wedding that Miles had ever been
- 7:33Speaker 1: to is walking his mom down the aisle, and I
- 7:36Speaker 1: just thought it was the most special thing.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I don't know how I kept it together.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I kept telling the kids anytime i think I'm going
- 7:43Speaker 1: to cry, I'm and a say hemorrhoid in my head. Okay,
- 7:44Speaker 1: like that's just like that's just something that would like
- 7:46Speaker 1: make me laugh really fast.
- 7:48Speaker 2: So I read it.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I'm not kidding you. It's just the funniest thing I
- 7:51Speaker 1: could think of. I'm like what could I could say
- 7:52Speaker 1: that's not as funny.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Like what do you know? I was just like, that's
- 7:55Speaker 2: the funniest thing that I can think of. So I
- 7:57Speaker 2: did that worked?
- 7:59Speaker 1: I mean I was like I just get out of
- 8:01Speaker 1: myself for a second and be like can you know?
- 8:03Speaker 1: And then and then I kind of chuckle and move on.
- 8:05Speaker 1: But it was really hard to fight back the tears
- 8:07Speaker 1: even walking down the aisle. So I think I had
- 8:09Speaker 1: a couple because I remember watching one video someone had
- 8:11Speaker 1: and I right where I got to John, I grabbed
- 8:14Speaker 1: my kerchief and I like was dabbing my eyes.
- 8:17Speaker 3: So yeah, you even saw John get so emotional, like
- 8:20Speaker 3: I didn't see it, Yes, when you were walking down
- 8:23Speaker 3: like before, like you could tell I got it on video,
- 8:26Speaker 3: and like you literally just see like how overwhelmed with
- 8:30Speaker 3: emotion he is to see you walking down like up
- 8:34Speaker 3: to him, And can we please talk about your dress?
- 8:40Speaker 3: I need all the details because I was there. I
- 8:44Speaker 3: am in Scottsdale. All your girls we went to get
- 8:48Speaker 3: the dress, but when I saw you just you know,
- 8:50Speaker 3: because none of us saw that beautiful dress, So I
- 8:54Speaker 3: don't even know all the details. Give me the dress details,
- 8:57Speaker 3: because you looked like I'm you always look incredible, Alexis, truly,
- 9:02Speaker 3: from the bottom of my heart, you were breathtaking. We
- 9:05Speaker 3: were all like like we literally had to like take
- 9:07Speaker 3: a beat, like, sincerely, I've never seen you look just
- 9:11Speaker 3: so stunning and glad that because.
- 9:14Speaker 2: That dress took a lot of work.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Like Julie from Modern Bride, you met her, we started
- 9:19Speaker 1: with one thing, and then I kept calling her and
- 9:21Speaker 1: I go I kept going, okay, wait, I need to
- 9:23Speaker 1: add this weight. I want to change this weight. It's
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't like that color. It's not the perfect color.
- 9:26Speaker 1: We I flew out there probably four or five times
- 9:29Speaker 1: just to help get it all together, make the vision
- 9:31Speaker 1: come to light. And I was you have to pray
- 9:33Speaker 1: you no joke, cause it's not like I could try
- 9:34Speaker 1: it on, like they're customizing that gown for me. They
- 9:36Speaker 1: took my vision and Julie's help of the vision and
- 9:40Speaker 1: going Nope, you have to do this, Alexis, No, you
- 9:42Speaker 1: need to do this, and you have to.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Trust the process.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And then when the dress comes you're kind of like,
- 9:46Speaker 1: oh my gosh, let's cross our fingers because you don't
- 9:48Speaker 1: get a trial and error. And so what you guys
- 9:51Speaker 1: saw was just the beginning. I remember when I walked
- 9:53Speaker 1: out Joe when we were at that and I said,
- 9:55Speaker 1: this is the.
- 9:55Speaker 2: One, and you guys were all like yay.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And then I think that to Julie and I'm like, Julie,
- 9:59Speaker 1: that's the one, except I want to do a B, C, D, E, F,
- 10:01Speaker 1: G and H.
- 10:02Speaker 2: And she's like, that's not this dress. Then she's like,
- 10:04Speaker 2: we got to start from scratch.
- 10:05Speaker 1: We got to completely She's like, we're just going back
- 10:07Speaker 1: to drawing boards and starting from complete scratch.
- 10:10Speaker 2: So from that moment that you went with me, we
- 10:12Speaker 2: sit the next six months recreating the entire thing.
- 10:15Speaker 3: And I was gonna say, because it looks so different
- 10:17Speaker 3: than what I remembered a scene at Modern Ride, so okay,
- 10:21Speaker 3: now that makes sense. It Also I loved that it
- 10:24Speaker 3: was like your skin color because it was like a
- 10:27Speaker 3: netted material, right or mash yeah, with silk underneath, but
- 10:31Speaker 3: silk underneath, Okay. I couldn't like see it, of course,
- 10:33Speaker 3: but then like with the little crystals like all through it.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Right, it was just so.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Beating everywhere, and then she had the hair piece made
- 10:40Speaker 1: exactly to match the beating, so it was all just
- 10:42Speaker 1: very customized and very you know, and I mean, I
- 10:45Speaker 1: don't mind if anyone wants to call her and then
- 10:47Speaker 1: they can do the same dress and a different color.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I don't know, but I mean for those brides that
- 10:51Speaker 1: don't want to, you know, the second time around, Joe,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I just well, third for me, but I don't count
- 10:55Speaker 1: my first one. But I feel like I feel like
- 10:59Speaker 1: I didn't want to be in white or cream or
- 11:01Speaker 1: anything of that. So I just and I think other
- 11:02Speaker 1: brides do. I think was that there was some other
- 11:04Speaker 1: housewife that were black her I forget which one it was,
- 11:09Speaker 1: Kelly DoD Kelly Dodd, I think we're black as her
- 11:11Speaker 1: wedding gown.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And so it's okay, it's unique, you know.
- 11:15Speaker 5: Do you?
- 11:15Speaker 3: I mean, it's I think it's your wedding day, whether
- 11:18Speaker 3: the bride wants to be traditional or untraditional, like do
- 11:22Speaker 3: whatever feels like you like tarn and I we didn't
- 11:25Speaker 3: do a garter thing. We did a fake garter thing,
- 11:28Speaker 3: like you know when they go underneath your dress and
- 11:30Speaker 3: all of that, because like.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I was there, so what do you what do you mean?
- 11:34Speaker 2: I forget that part.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Well because his grandparents like we're there and like it
- 11:40Speaker 3: was like this whole thing where like He's like, I
- 11:42Speaker 3: don't know, honey, I don't want to go under your
- 11:44Speaker 3: dress and grab it with my.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Teeth and like my grandparents or that. And I was like, Okay,
- 11:48Speaker 5: we don't have to do it all like that.
- 11:49Speaker 3: But he did something even better, which is he did
- 11:51Speaker 3: a fake out where he went under my stirg went
- 11:55Speaker 3: under my dress, pretending like he was about to pull
- 11:57Speaker 3: it out. And then he gets up and he's like nah,
- 11:59Speaker 3: and he's takes up the guitar and starts playing a
- 12:02Speaker 3: song that he wrote me and performed like that was
- 12:05Speaker 3: so much more amazing. So that's what I'm saying, untraditional,
- 12:08Speaker 3: but I think every bride should do what they feel like,
- 12:11Speaker 3: if it's black, if it's whatever it is.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So your wedding was insane, by the way. I loved
- 12:15Speaker 1: every minute of it. It was so heartfelt. I do
- 12:17Speaker 1: remember him singing that song to you, and everybody was
- 12:20Speaker 1: teary eyed and just.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Like you were like you were blown away.
- 12:24Speaker 1: You're like the look on your face the whole time
- 12:25Speaker 1: was like you were speechless.
- 12:27Speaker 2: You know, it was just I love those moments.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Those are the moments that make your wedding yours, you know,
- 12:31Speaker 1: whether it's the first, second, third, fourth for some people.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, And.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I really loved the part where you played worship music.
- 12:38Speaker 3: That song came on before you even start at the ceremony,
- 12:41Speaker 3: and you did things for you with like the rose,
- 12:44Speaker 3: like the roses beloved lost. I've never seen that done.
- 12:48Speaker 3: So that was also such a beautiful moment. We all
- 12:51Speaker 3: lost it.
- 12:51Speaker 2: So oh gosh. I was trying not to let people
- 12:53Speaker 2: cry as much as I thought I would be crying.
- 12:55Speaker 2: But I wanted when.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I was picking my song to walk down the aisle
- 12:58Speaker 1: to I. And I was now going to walk down
- 13:00Speaker 1: the aisle. My kids are the ones that made me
- 13:02Speaker 1: do it, because they're like and John's kids, all six
- 13:04Speaker 1: kids said Alexis.
- 13:05Speaker 2: You have to walk to my dad. You have to
- 13:06Speaker 2: walk to John, you know.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Like But I went through song after song after song,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and it was literally the week before the wedding, and
- 13:13Speaker 1: I called my the host that was doing all of
- 13:15Speaker 1: the entertainment, gentleman Casey, and I just said, changed again,
- 13:19Speaker 1: and I've got the song. And he goes John and said,
- 13:22Speaker 1: but that song it's Oceans, the worship song by Hillsong,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and he goes, that's John's Like, that song's not as
- 13:27Speaker 1: impactful with just the stream quartet, and he's like, you
- 13:30Speaker 1: need to have a singer.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Guess what I did.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Called my church and I'm like, ooh, from a church
- 13:34Speaker 1: could sing this song.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Walcome me down the aisle in a week's time.
- 13:37Speaker 1: We got to make this happen. So we did that
- 13:39Speaker 1: all last minute. It was my worship leader from church.
- 13:41Speaker 1: His name's Joey Insane, and it just and then I said,
- 13:45Speaker 1: and by the way, Pastor. When I was talking to
- 13:47Speaker 1: my pastor, I said, I don't want it to end.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I want to take I want to take John and
- 13:51Speaker 1: I a minute and a half or a minute longer
- 13:53Speaker 1: and just get God in service. So we were kind
- 13:55Speaker 1: of sitting there, John and I were worshiping alone together
- 13:58Speaker 1: with I mean the crowd and everyone that song. But
- 14:01Speaker 1: it was just our moment of saying, God, we are
- 14:03Speaker 1: really doing this before you. We want you here with us.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So that is kind of where that all came from.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I love that last minute Joe so special.
- 14:13Speaker 5: I mean, you would have never known that.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, by the way, never known what is a hiccup?
- 14:18Speaker 1: I need to know a hiccup that happened during your
- 14:20Speaker 1: wedding because I was there and I think we talked
- 14:23Speaker 1: to the day or two after your wedding, but this
- 14:24Speaker 1: is twenty twenty two.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I can't remember if you had any massive thing.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yes I did, but you know you pulled it off
- 14:31Speaker 1: because I mean, no one knew and I can't remember it.
- 14:33Speaker 2: So okay, what was your massive thing?
- 14:34Speaker 3: So what's funny is I didn't even know until after
- 14:38Speaker 3: the wedding, like days after. So come to find out
- 14:41Speaker 3: our wedding planner whoever, was going to help set up
- 14:46Speaker 3: the tables that day, because you know, we had gotten
- 14:50Speaker 3: a private home in the palace in Palisates Palsti's palasfurtis
- 14:56Speaker 3: the States. I'm like, what year is that we brought
- 14:59Speaker 3: every into this house to do this like enchanted forest wedding.
- 15:03Speaker 3: So there's a lot more set up. The assistance didn't
- 15:08Speaker 3: show up, or someone got sick, the crew got sick,
- 15:11Speaker 3: so I had friends that had to step in to
- 15:14Speaker 3: help set up.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Our tables on the day of the wedding.
- 15:18Speaker 3: On the day so like because we have the ceremony
- 15:21Speaker 3: and the reception all in the backyard, yea, so we
- 15:24Speaker 3: you know, after the ceremony, people go to the side
- 15:27Speaker 3: to get cocktail hour and then they flipped over the space,
- 15:30Speaker 3: so I didn't know friends had to step in to
- 15:33Speaker 3: help my planner, which is wild.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Your planner reached out to your friends and not you.
- 15:40Speaker 3: You know, it's funny. I don't even know what I
- 15:41Speaker 3: don't even know how it happened. All I know is, yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 3: no one told me. They were like protecting me so
- 15:47Speaker 3: that I could like enjoy it. But that's what I
- 15:49Speaker 3: came to find out was my friends, some friends help.
- 15:52Speaker 3: They had to jump in to help turn the space around.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Crazy. Wait, what was the hiccup for you?
- 15:57Speaker 1: I mean that is that is insane though, and then
- 15:59Speaker 1: that it feel so special though for you because you're like,
- 16:02Speaker 1: those people love me that much that they kept all
- 16:04Speaker 1: of that from me and made my day and you
- 16:06Speaker 1: did not know till the next day.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that is great friends, I mean days later. Yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 3: keep those friends forever.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Yep.
- 16:22Speaker 1: So I my hiccup, My biggest one was I'm literally
- 16:26Speaker 1: telling I'm what twenty minutes from getting ready to go
- 16:30Speaker 1: to my next place, which is another holding place. We
- 16:32Speaker 1: just finished my prepictures going to the next holding place
- 16:35Speaker 1: closer to the ceremony. Before they actually had to, we
- 16:37Speaker 1: were on a golf course they had to which behind
- 16:39Speaker 1: a canyon, but they had to drive the golf cart
- 16:41Speaker 1: from my holding place a little bit with me in
- 16:43Speaker 1: it before they had turned.
- 16:44Speaker 2: John around so we couldn't see it.
- 16:46Speaker 1: And then I get off the golf cart walk over
- 16:47Speaker 1: to where the where the eyele is.
- 16:49Speaker 2: But we're literally twenty minutes.
- 16:51Speaker 1: From the golf cart picking me up to take me
- 16:53Speaker 1: to my next holding place. And I sliced my finger
- 16:56Speaker 1: on my perfume bottle that had like broken. I was,
- 16:58Speaker 1: you know, vein trying to smell good for my wedding,
- 17:00Speaker 1: which if I hadn't touched it, what happened and so
- 17:03Speaker 1: slightly it had like shifted during getting moved from all
- 17:06Speaker 1: the different rooms and stuff, and so the lid was
- 17:08Speaker 1: kind of broken a little bit, but I didn't note it.
- 17:10Speaker 1: So I'm trying to like straighten it out, and it
- 17:11Speaker 1: just slip my finger. You can still see it. Look here, wait, wait, wait,
- 17:13Speaker 1: how do I get it? Where's the camera?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Anyway?
- 17:15Speaker 1: You can still see it. It needed stitches. I'm holding
- 17:18Speaker 1: it for an hour. My son's an EMT, so he's like, mom, Mom,
- 17:21Speaker 1: that does need stitches. We call the medics. Twenty minutes
- 17:23Speaker 1: before call the medics.
- 17:25Speaker 2: They come up.
- 17:25Speaker 1: They don't do stitches, they're only there to help band
- 17:27Speaker 1: aid it or whatever. And I'm like, I can't wear
- 17:29Speaker 1: a band aid.
- 17:29Speaker 2: To my wedding. And so then they're like, who's got
- 17:32Speaker 2: super glue? So we literally super.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Glued my finger together, glu super glued, opened to the wound,
- 17:37Speaker 1: tried to get it to stop bleeding enough, put super glue
- 17:39Speaker 1: in it. No one knows this, by the way, because
- 17:41Speaker 1: I pulled it off without a hitch. But anyways, super
- 17:44Speaker 1: glued my finger back together and we're still holding it.
- 17:47Speaker 1: It's still bleeding. We're like, we have to wear a
- 17:48Speaker 1: band aid. Les there's no way around it. I'm like
- 17:50Speaker 1: trying to keep it off my wedding gown. I'm like,
- 17:52Speaker 1: and I'm not freaking out at all. So my kids
- 17:53Speaker 1: are there, so I'm playing it cool. I'm like, you guys,
- 17:55Speaker 1: it's gonna be fine. Mom's fine, everything's fine. Inside I'm
- 17:58Speaker 1: not thinking everything's fine. I'm like, oh my effing.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Goodness, you know, I didn't imagine.
- 18:03Speaker 1: So it's over here, you know, way over here. While
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'm standing there, it's dripping. And so then they're finally like, okay,
- 18:07Speaker 1: we're a super glowed again, and we're sticking the band
- 18:09Speaker 1: aid on, and they got me one that you couldn't
- 18:11Speaker 1: really see, like a cusskin colored band aid. I had
- 18:14Speaker 1: to go down the aisle with that, and so the
- 18:15Speaker 1: whole time I'm just like, please, Jeremy, like, I hope.
- 18:17Speaker 2: You can photoshop a band aid out of anything.
- 18:19Speaker 5: You know, Oh my god, you would have honestly never
- 18:23Speaker 5: have known.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Well, my adrenaline was so kicked in that I don't
- 18:26Speaker 1: think I don't think it would have. You know, nothing's
- 18:28Speaker 1: going to mess with me at that moment, because I'm
- 18:30Speaker 1: so like, Okay, we're getting ready to do this.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I'm walking down the aisle to my husband right now.
- 18:33Speaker 1: So yeah, But isn't it funny that those little hiccups.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I mean, if I would have put my the perfume
- 18:38Speaker 1: on two hours before, it would have been such a
- 18:40Speaker 1: big deal. But it's like, right when they're coming to
- 18:42Speaker 1: get me, Oh my good.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Yep, no a million for I didn't even know and
- 18:46Speaker 3: you could even see it when you're walking, so your fine.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I also thought it was interesting that you actually had
- 18:52Speaker 3: a color palette for all of your guests, yes, the neutrals.
- 18:57Speaker 5: And you literally forced me to not wear black.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Oh, I know, honey, I thought. I even told John,
- 19:02Speaker 1: I said, she might not come, Honey, she might not
- 19:04Speaker 1: show up. So the reason behind that is because my
- 19:09Speaker 1: last wedding was black tie and everything was everyone was
- 19:13Speaker 1: in you know, the tuxedos, the dark A lot of
- 19:15Speaker 1: gowns were dark everything, and it just didn't feel right
- 19:17Speaker 1: for this.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I wanted a whimsicult wedding.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I wanted something that felt totally still glamorous, still top notched, still.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Touxedo like, but I didn't want it to be.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I wanted bright and airy or not bright, but like
- 19:28Speaker 1: earth tones and just everyone to kind of you know,
- 19:30Speaker 1: because my gown was going to stick out no matter
- 19:32Speaker 1: what because of all of the amount of crystals it
- 19:35Speaker 1: had on it, right, So it was like, it doesn't
- 19:37Speaker 1: I don't care that I don't stand out, and if
- 19:38Speaker 1: everybody's in tope, I don't care if everyone's in champagne
- 19:40Speaker 1: and tope.
- 19:41Speaker 2: So that's kind of where that originated from.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And so then my designer and wedding planner and myself
- 19:47Speaker 1: and John all had to come up with which colors
- 19:49Speaker 1: we thought would look good with the background and all that,
- 19:51Speaker 1: and I mean it turned out incredible. I loved how
- 19:55Speaker 1: the audience was. Yeah, they were just so beautiful the audience.
- 19:58Speaker 5: I love it.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Okay, this is an audience. We have an audience taking out.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Those were my guests.
- 20:03Speaker 3: You know what's so funny is Galina and your best
- 20:07Speaker 3: friend Mandy and then myself all wearing that really pretty
- 20:12Speaker 3: sage green. We literally looked like your unofficial bridesmaids. That
- 20:17Speaker 3: we started calling ourselves as a joke, your unofficial bridesmaids.
- 20:21Speaker 3: And we hadn't even planned that because there's only so
- 20:23Speaker 3: many neutral colors you can pick from, right, No, it was.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I mean our color Collette had like the mob and
- 20:28Speaker 1: the champagne and the ivory and like the gray and
- 20:32Speaker 1: all that. Most a lot of the women were in
- 20:33Speaker 1: a shade of green or a shade of some kind
- 20:36Speaker 1: of a brownish topish color, which I think was beauty.
- 20:39Speaker 1: It just worked out beautifully. But yeah, that was so funny.
- 20:41Speaker 1: And I saw that post one if you posted that,
- 20:43Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, that's idd you basically are. I mean,
- 20:45Speaker 1: you were my You were both at both of my shuindigs.
- 20:49Speaker 5: All three of us were at everything.
- 20:51Speaker 2: No, Mandy couldn't make Vegas.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Mandy couldn't make But you guys kind of are my
- 20:55Speaker 1: unofficial Like if there were bridesmaids, probably would have been you.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Yeah, my kids, my kids superseded you.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, We're fine. It's your kids.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Okay, So I have to ask you something.
- 21:09Speaker 1: It's kind of and and I don't know if I'm
- 21:11Speaker 1: stipping off my balance here, but oh, you're fine.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Okay. Now, I don't think you're going to like this
- 21:16Speaker 2: very much, but I'm gonna do it there anyway.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Let me take a set.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah, do you feel first of all, does it feel different?
- 21:21Speaker 1: Did it feel different when you were married like once
- 21:23Speaker 1: you once it officially happened, did you feel like your
- 21:25Speaker 1: relationship instantly? Was there something different about it, like just
- 21:29Speaker 1: on another level?
- 21:30Speaker 5: Yes, a million percent.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Isn't that weird? Look to me, that's weird. I'm going
- 21:34Speaker 2: somewhere with this, But isn't that so weird?
- 21:36Speaker 5: Yes?
- 21:36Speaker 1: I did not expect that because I've been married before,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and I think I was so young and maybe it
- 21:41Speaker 1: just wasn't that because it was wasn't this man.
- 21:44Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I just feel the minute we set our vowels and
- 21:48Speaker 1: and and he God was there, and he blessed our
- 21:51Speaker 1: union and we left as husband and wife.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I just walking down that aisle.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I remember shaking and holding Johnny's hand and feeling like
- 21:58Speaker 1: this is just like now you're you're You're still mine
- 22:01Speaker 1: and you've been mine all along, but now.
- 22:02Speaker 3: It's like a different mind. It's like wow, it's like
- 22:05Speaker 3: more deeper. Yeah, instant intimate.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Speaking about that's I'm saying that intimacy is on a
- 22:11Speaker 1: whole other level even now.
- 22:12Speaker 2: And you know, Johnny and.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I do not have a problem with that, but I'm like,
- 22:15Speaker 1: I have to ask Joe, is it I mean, we're
- 22:17Speaker 1: both laying in there, We're.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Like, this is so much different and better, like even better.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I don't get it. It was it was instant, and
- 22:25Speaker 2: john like, that's because we went before God. We did
- 22:27Speaker 2: it before God. So there is something there is something to.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Say about saying your vows and doing it in a
- 22:34Speaker 1: you know, because at first, when I met John, I
- 22:36Speaker 1: told him, but I was in a very broken state,
- 22:37Speaker 1: but I told him I don't need to get married again.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I don't want I don't I don't even think I
- 22:41Speaker 2: want to, you know.
- 22:42Speaker 1: And then over the progression of our relationship that it
- 22:45Speaker 1: felt like Okay, now, yes, I do want I want
- 22:47Speaker 1: to be a chance and I want to be your wife.
- 22:48Speaker 1: But to go from that to then now being married
- 22:52Speaker 1: and feeling like it's even such a stronger bond is
- 22:54Speaker 1: just incredible, incredible.
- 22:56Speaker 5: No, it's the most beautiful thing.
- 22:59Speaker 3: And then my question is always like when people say
- 23:02Speaker 3: their vows and they get married, right and then like
- 23:04Speaker 3: five ten years later, there's like vowl renewals that people
- 23:09Speaker 3: sometimes do or like don't do do you think that
- 23:12Speaker 3: you would you think you guys would do a vow
- 23:15Speaker 3: renewal or would you or would you not?
- 23:18Speaker 1: I don't know about that, because you know, Jim and
- 23:20Speaker 1: I did that right before we divorce. We did it
- 23:22Speaker 1: actually on David Tutera's TV show. We did the vow
- 23:25Speaker 1: renewal and that was in twenty sixteen, and we got
- 23:29Speaker 1: divorced in twenty eighteen.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And I knew when we did the vow renewal.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I knew we were hanging on by a thread and
- 23:34Speaker 1: we were trying everything at that point.
- 23:35Speaker 2: But haven't you.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Heard the thing where people say if you get a
- 23:38Speaker 1: tattoo matching tattoos, that's the kiss of death on a
- 23:40Speaker 1: marriage or the ring finger tattoo. That's the kiss of death.
- 23:44Speaker 1: And then also the vow renewal is a kiss of death.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Do you like Vicky got Vicky? Vicky got her renewal
- 23:49Speaker 1: done with Dawn, remember, because I was with her on
- 23:51Speaker 1: during that time, filming with her on that. I wasn't
- 23:54Speaker 1: at her valw renual, but I was on the show
- 23:55Speaker 1: with her, I was friends with her, and then they
- 23:57Speaker 1: got divorced like the next year.
- 23:58Speaker 3: So does that do those kind of things worry you
- 24:01Speaker 3: at all? Honestly, I think it's superstitious. I never I've
- 24:06Speaker 3: never heard the ring thing right. Ever, I obviously know
- 24:10Speaker 3: people do it personally, not my gig and the vow
- 24:15Speaker 3: renyal thing, I think it can be sweet, you know,
- 24:19Speaker 3: and also just an excuse to have another party right
- 24:21Speaker 3: with like friends like ten years later.
- 24:24Speaker 5: But I also have friends who are like.
- 24:25Speaker 3: If you're doing a vow renewal, there's a reason you're
- 24:29Speaker 3: renewing your vows, Like why renew your valves if everything
- 24:32Speaker 3: is beautiful?
- 24:33Speaker 1: Like you know so, But to each their own two,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I think the I think the reason it ever started.
- 24:38Speaker 1: In my opinion, I might be totally wrong, but I
- 24:40Speaker 1: think the reason valve renual's ever even started, is just
- 24:43Speaker 1: to put the spark back in there because your wedding
- 24:44Speaker 1: date is so special, and so a decade goes by
- 24:47Speaker 1: and maybe it's getting a little bit kind of ore,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, let's get the feels back again,
- 24:50Speaker 1: Let's get yeah, do the whole wedding day feel again.
- 24:52Speaker 1: But I just I feel like I feel like I
- 24:55Speaker 1: haven't even talked to John about this. Obviously, it's it's
- 24:57Speaker 1: both of our opinions, but I feel it the point
- 25:00Speaker 1: I would say probably not, but I am still getting
- 25:02Speaker 1: off the high of the production we just threw, you know,
- 25:04Speaker 1: and the whole amazingness and the feeling of all of
- 25:07Speaker 1: the of how much fun that party was. But I think, also, Joe,
- 25:11Speaker 1: why can't you just have a birthday party that glamorous
- 25:14Speaker 1: or do something like that and then, do you know,
- 25:16Speaker 1: do something you know and another way to get the
- 25:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no for right now.
- 25:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean not me asking you about valur noiles,
- 25:23Speaker 5: when you just got married.
- 25:25Speaker 2: At the point, okay, what do we have me the
- 25:27Speaker 2: next party?
- 25:28Speaker 4: No?
- 25:28Speaker 5: No, no, But honestly, your wedding was perfect.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Okay, so if well, okay, what did you guys take
- 25:37Speaker 1: a honeymoon.
- 25:38Speaker 5: We did?
- 25:39Speaker 2: You did? And where did you go?
- 25:42Speaker 5: We went?
- 25:44Speaker 3: I always forget the name of it because it was
- 25:47Speaker 3: an island.
- 25:48Speaker 5: That's all I got. And it starts with me. It's
- 25:50Speaker 5: not Bermuda there, it's like.
- 25:52Speaker 2: A really Barbados. Is that even an island? You just
- 25:55Speaker 2: said be you said a word?
- 25:57Speaker 5: Maybe I forget the name. It's a smaller island.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Okay, Well was it fun because you don't even remember
- 26:03Speaker 2: the name?
- 26:04Speaker 5: Well, that's the.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Thing is okay, So yes, I liked it. But it
- 26:09Speaker 3: was a little bit more you know what it was.
- 26:11Speaker 3: It was because like the hotel was more of like
- 26:14Speaker 3: a smaller hotel. It was supposed to be private. They
- 26:16Speaker 3: gave us like a private dinner on the beach. It
- 26:18Speaker 3: was like, you know, was no man, I'm like the
- 26:24Speaker 3: worst wife friend.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Okay. Anyways, but go back to what it was. Go back.
- 26:27Speaker 3: So because it was small, like the actual like island
- 26:32Speaker 3: was smaller. It was a thing where it was the
- 26:38Speaker 3: staff would be either down by the beach taking care
- 26:41Speaker 3: because they had like a restaurant on like the beach
- 26:43Speaker 3: and stuff like that, or they would.
- 26:45Speaker 5: Like come up.
- 26:46Speaker 3: So if they were down at the beach. There was
- 26:48Speaker 3: nobody at like the pool to like be a bartender,
- 26:53Speaker 3: So it was like that kind of a small It
- 26:55Speaker 3: was more of like a boutique.
- 26:57Speaker 1: You're, yeah, you're tasting them more than them being there,
- 26:59Speaker 1: like yeah, oh my gosh.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Okay exactly, And so I don't know that. I like
- 27:05Speaker 3: more of like an inclusive like restaurants. There's things to
- 27:09Speaker 3: do in the actual like hotel versus lat you we
- 27:14Speaker 3: kind of had to go out.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Did you get like this ups like sadness after the wedding,
- 27:20Speaker 1: like oh my gosh, like the relief of like being done,
- 27:22Speaker 1: but at the same time like kind of like when
- 27:24Speaker 1: Christmas is over?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Did you get that that that?
- 27:26Speaker 1: Like I remember because John and I went to Surf
- 27:28Speaker 1: and Sand for two days. We stayed at the venue
- 27:32Speaker 1: for two days and then we uh went to Surf
- 27:34Speaker 1: and Sand for two days to be on the water
- 27:36Speaker 1: and just basically sleep.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I mean, we were so frick and tired, but we
- 27:41Speaker 2: ordered room.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Service and we didn't even go Yeah, we went to
- 27:43Speaker 1: dinner one night in the hotel, but we did not
- 27:44Speaker 1: leave the hotel the Surf and Sand. But anyways, that's
- 27:47Speaker 1: my absolute favorite place by the way here in town
- 27:50Speaker 1: like staycation place. But anyway, I remember having this like sadness,
- 27:54Speaker 1: like a sadness and being like, wow, now it's all done.
- 27:57Speaker 2: But I had this excitement because now I'm missus Jansen.
- 27:59Speaker 1: But it was like wow, like I've been spending sleepless,
- 28:03Speaker 1: sleepless nights planning it and then it's all over that quickly.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Well that's what I was gonna That's what I was
- 28:08Speaker 3: wondering for you was how you were feeling about the
- 28:12Speaker 3: wedding being over too, because I also went through that.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Because you go from you're.
- 28:18Speaker 3: So stressed out you're doing journaline yah of like all
- 28:21Speaker 3: the things and you can't keep everything straight.
- 28:23Speaker 1: You have all these things you have to do to
- 28:25Speaker 1: where it's like, I mean, believe me, we're still busy.
- 28:27Speaker 2: We have like three careers and all that, all these
- 28:28Speaker 2: things going.
- 28:29Speaker 1: But it's like I'm just like, Okay, well I don't
- 28:30Speaker 1: have to get up in the middle of the night and
- 28:31Speaker 1: make notes about the wedding now, because I used to
- 28:33Speaker 1: like wake up in the middle of the night and
- 28:34Speaker 1: make notes right like, oh my gosh, I had to
- 28:36Speaker 1: do this first thing in the morning, and.
- 28:37Speaker 2: So I wouldn't sleep much at all.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You know, but yeah, I was definitely sad, definitely had
- 28:42Speaker 1: a sadness.
- 28:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I mean now I'm just like, okay, I'm glad I
- 28:45Speaker 1: get my life back. But there was that even being
- 28:47Speaker 1: at a beautiful resort like the Servant Sanda, I was
- 28:49Speaker 1: just like, ugh, yeah.
- 28:50Speaker 2: You know, kind of bummed. And then I look over
- 28:53Speaker 2: at my head and I'm like, Okay, I'm not bummed anymore.
- 28:57Speaker 4: No.
- 28:58Speaker 3: I mean you I feel like in even like right
- 29:01Speaker 3: before the wedding day, You're like I remember just feeling like,
- 29:05Speaker 3: oh my gosh, like I'm so excited to Mary Taran,
- 29:08Speaker 3: but I just want the wedding day to be here
- 29:10Speaker 3: already because I'm so tired of like stressing about the
- 29:14Speaker 3: planning of it.
- 29:15Speaker 5: But then once it happened, then.
- 29:17Speaker 3: You kind of like miss the planning of it, but
- 29:20Speaker 3: forget how stressed out you were, you know. But like
- 29:24Speaker 3: also it was just it was such a special like
- 29:27Speaker 3: season for me that you know, I also really hold
- 29:32Speaker 3: that feeling like.
- 29:33Speaker 5: In my heart of like yeah, I'm so precious you know.
- 29:36Speaker 2: His engagement to you. Remind me if this is right
- 29:38Speaker 2: or not.
- 29:38Speaker 1: But because this is why I loved your wedding so much,
- 29:40Speaker 1: is because he is a musician, and he does he
- 29:42Speaker 1: brings this element of that too wherever he goes. But
- 29:45Speaker 1: wasn't his engagement to you. He was saying you a
- 29:48Speaker 1: song and got down on one knee. Yeah that song, Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 1: I remember now because it was that was twenty twenty one.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Yeah, right in the middle of COVID.
- 29:55Speaker 3: And then I know he wrote the song Become My Wife, which,
- 29:59Speaker 3: by the way, I don't even know how like to
- 30:01Speaker 3: write a song and perform a song before you're about
- 30:07Speaker 3: to propose.
- 30:09Speaker 1: My voice, My voice would be so shaky, you know,
- 30:13Speaker 1: like nerves.
- 30:14Speaker 5: I was literally stunned.
- 30:17Speaker 3: And the fact that like at the time I was
- 30:20Speaker 3: doing YouTube and he knew to like document that entire
- 30:24Speaker 3: like surprise proposal and like give me the video of
- 30:27Speaker 3: like and you can have this for your YouTube channel
- 30:29Speaker 3: now and now we can look back at like our
- 30:31Speaker 3: proposal story and always have that as like it's kind
- 30:35Speaker 3: of like a home video, if you will, right, like
- 30:37Speaker 3: all of these memories.
- 30:38Speaker 1: But were you surprised? You were you weren't expecting it
- 30:41Speaker 1: right at that moment.
- 30:42Speaker 5: Yes, I've never been surprised like that and so misled.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Okay, awesome, that's the best way to do, Yeah, a
- 30:50Speaker 3: million percent.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Were you surprised when John proposed?
- 31:04Speaker 1: Well, I knew it was coming because we picked out
- 31:06Speaker 1: the ring together. But it's funny because he was doing
- 31:10Speaker 1: all these things to throw me off. Like he flew
- 31:12Speaker 1: us to London to meet his brother and I'm like, oh,
- 31:14Speaker 1: this is where he's proposing, right, And then we did
- 31:17Speaker 1: another little trip somewhere, and then he booked Santa Sedro Ranch,
- 31:21Speaker 1: and so I'm just like at this point, I'm like,
- 31:23Speaker 1: he's just you know, I'm like, he's probably not even
- 31:26Speaker 1: gonna do it at one of these places we go.
- 31:27Speaker 1: He's just going to go down in the kitchen on
- 31:28Speaker 1: one knee and propose when I'm cooking dinner. But anyway,
- 31:31Speaker 1: it was Santa Ceedra Ranch. So but I was because
- 31:33Speaker 1: I was It's funny. He went to the bathroom and
- 31:35Speaker 1: I cannot tell he was nervous at all. He like
- 31:37Speaker 1: kicked it off without a hitch and and so I'm
- 31:40Speaker 1: you know, we've just finished dinner, you know where When
- 31:42Speaker 1: I went back.
- 31:43Speaker 2: To think about it, though, they made a mistake because.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Right when we sat down, the guy brought a bottle
- 31:47Speaker 1: of champagne like boob or something, and it was like congratulations,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and then John was like what.
- 31:53Speaker 2: I was like what. And then so then he walked away,
- 31:55Speaker 2: and I was just like, okay, that's weird. But then
- 31:57Speaker 2: we ate dinner, and now.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Looking back, I was like, oh my god, gosh, I
- 32:00Speaker 1: should have that should have been like this the thing
- 32:02Speaker 1: that so then but John played off so cool because
- 32:05Speaker 1: he was just like, wrong table, I think, and the
- 32:06Speaker 1: guy guy guy looks at the like the manager, and
- 32:08Speaker 1: the manager's like, yeah, rock table.
- 32:09Speaker 2: He's like, oh, it's over here, it's over here. So
- 32:11Speaker 2: then he he played it off all two, you know.
- 32:13Speaker 2: But then John went to the bathroom. So the meal
- 32:15Speaker 2: is over right.
- 32:16Speaker 1: John went to the bathroom and I said no to dessert.
- 32:18Speaker 1: He said no to dessert. And then he comes back
- 32:21Speaker 1: and he sits down and he's got tears in his eyes.
- 32:23Speaker 2: And I'm on the phone with Miles. Miles are just
- 32:25Speaker 2: or one of the one of the kids. It just
- 32:26Speaker 2: called me about something and was.
- 32:28Speaker 1: There was some been needing done here at home, and
- 32:30Speaker 1: so I'm like, not even in the mindset of romanticness
- 32:33Speaker 1: at all.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Right now, I'm on kid mom mode, right, So I'm
- 32:36Speaker 2: looking down at the phone.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I look up and I'm like okay, my love you
- 32:38Speaker 1: byte and I click and he's got tears in his
- 32:39Speaker 1: eyes and I'm like, are you okay?
- 32:41Speaker 2: Yeah to me? Did you eat something wrong or let's
- 32:43Speaker 2: go on, and he's just like he's like, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 2: I just I just can't.
- 32:47Speaker 1: And he's he started talking about our relationship and I
- 32:49Speaker 1: was like, oh, honey, I love you too, and.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Then he he goes, you know what, I can't. I
- 32:53Speaker 2: can't hold it anymore, and he had.
- 32:55Speaker 1: He had then got in the box and put it
- 32:56Speaker 1: in his pocket when he went to the bathroom, and
- 32:58Speaker 1: so then he got you know, pulled it out and
- 32:59Speaker 1: did the thing.
- 33:00Speaker 2: But yeah, it was so I was shocked.
- 33:02Speaker 3: That's so sweet. I'm surprised you didn't see the box
- 33:05Speaker 3: in his pants.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Well that the good part about it was he was walking,
- 33:08Speaker 1: so my back was to him. So he's coming this
- 33:10Speaker 1: way from the bathroom. But I had been on my
- 33:12Speaker 1: head was down, I was talking to the kids, so
- 33:14Speaker 1: I wasn't even looking at him when he sat down.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I wasn't paying any attention to him at all. He
- 33:17Speaker 1: said he was kind of covering it, like the way
- 33:19Speaker 1: he was walking, he was trying to cover it up.
- 33:20Speaker 1: But like I was just and then I look up
- 33:22Speaker 1: at him, and that's when I'm.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Like, Okay, what just happened to the bathroom?
- 33:25Speaker 3: You know, like why are you walking out of the
- 33:29Speaker 3: bathroom crying?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Who was in there?
- 33:33Speaker 5: I love that so much.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Honestly, First of all, having known you for over ten
- 33:39Speaker 3: years now, right, I can truly say I've never seen
- 33:44Speaker 3: you happier.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I feel like that's so cliche though. I feel like
- 33:47Speaker 1: everybody says that when they see someone in love.
- 33:49Speaker 6: Really yeah, but you really do see a different kind
- 33:52Speaker 6: of happiness to me, I truly because I've seen you
- 33:56Speaker 6: with other people or like heard you talk about like
- 34:00Speaker 6: if you're dating, right, if you're dating someone.
- 34:02Speaker 1: But you also saw me what you also saw me
- 34:04Speaker 1: in my marriage and saw me with my ex before John,
- 34:07Speaker 1: So yeah, and you think this is a different happiness.
- 34:11Speaker 3: It's literally night and day, there's no question, Like it's
- 34:14Speaker 3: on your face. And also in the way that John
- 34:18Speaker 3: treats you, right, like even when before you guys had
- 34:22Speaker 3: ever gotten engaged, like he always just took care of
- 34:27Speaker 3: you with the little things like you know, opening your
- 34:30Speaker 3: car door, like putting out his hands so you could
- 34:34Speaker 3: take it to step you down from the car, like
- 34:38Speaker 3: like that's so rare these days. Chivalry truly sometimes is
- 34:42Speaker 3: dead right sometimes, and it just like I just I
- 34:49Speaker 3: thought it was so so sweet that he has always
- 34:53Speaker 3: taken care of you like that, and I, as one
- 34:57Speaker 3: of your very good friends, like that's all that you want.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I agree, you know, I agree, and every woman just
- 35:03Speaker 1: needs to be treated this way, and I just want
- 35:05Speaker 1: to be sure to like I just you know, I
- 35:08Speaker 1: point those things out to my kids too, and I'm like, see,
- 35:11Speaker 1: that's how you should be treated, Like that's that's the
- 35:13Speaker 1: way a man is supposed to treat a woman. And
- 35:15Speaker 1: also you know, he points it out about me, like
- 35:18Speaker 1: look at your look at your mom or look at Alexus,
- 35:19Speaker 1: like like that's what that's what we should be doing
- 35:22Speaker 1: for each other, you know, because I think that, you know,
- 35:24Speaker 1: and especially with teenagers, they can get in bad relationships
- 35:27Speaker 1: and and and healthy things, and you know, I just
- 35:31Speaker 1: I really want I'm so happy that I get to
- 35:34Speaker 1: emulate a healthy relationship with them, you know, with them
- 35:38Speaker 1: watching it.
- 35:38Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 35:39Speaker 1: And you know, though my ex did did send the
- 35:44Speaker 1: day before the wedding, did say wishing you, like, you know,
- 35:47Speaker 1: a good day tomorrow or something like that.
- 35:49Speaker 3: I was actually going to ask you about that if
- 35:51Speaker 3: he had sent you like a message or a congratulations,
- 35:55Speaker 3: because I know I got that when I married Teraryn
- 35:57Speaker 3: from people, Yeah I did, but so he did say, yeah, congratula.
- 36:02Speaker 1: That was my only ex though there was only one. Yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 1: but I haven't had any others at this moment. You
- 36:08Speaker 1: had some from.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Several exes, yes, well that was nice of them, But yeah,
- 36:14Speaker 4: I had a few that just you know, because as
- 36:17Speaker 4: a content creator, I'm posting my life all the time.
- 36:19Speaker 5: So yeah, they saw videos.
- 36:21Speaker 3: And content and we're just like congratulations, you know. And
- 36:25Speaker 3: also that would remind me to like unfollow them Instagram.
- 36:31Speaker 2: I don't think you have to do that.
- 36:33Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, I'm kidding.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I'm friends with all my exes. Like, I don't have
- 36:36Speaker 1: any bad blood with any of them. It's like I
- 36:38Speaker 1: just think that it's we're old enough now. I mean,
- 36:41Speaker 1: it's just I want to be kind to them and say, hey,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I want to see about.
- 36:45Speaker 5: No, a million percent, I'm actually good with.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Well all of my exes except for one.
- 36:53Speaker 2: We can't. We both know we're not going to go
- 36:57Speaker 2: there though, right, we're not going there.
- 36:59Speaker 5: Yeah I love that.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Yeah, So then now now what are like next steps?
- 37:06Speaker 3: What are what are the newlyweds doing now? Like, do
- 37:09Speaker 3: you have any plans obviously? Did you tell me you're
- 37:12Speaker 3: going on honeymoon?
- 37:13Speaker 2: No, we did a pre honeymoon. We did.
- 37:15Speaker 1: We did the honeymoon before the wedding because the wedding
- 37:17Speaker 1: was in October. And then comes his birthday, my twins
- 37:20Speaker 1: eighteenth birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and I'm just like John, if
- 37:24Speaker 1: we if we left for any period of time and
- 37:26Speaker 1: I still had to get the house back in order
- 37:28Speaker 1: from the big barbecue or the big you know, chef
- 37:30Speaker 1: brunch the next day I had, there's just so much
- 37:32Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 37:33Speaker 2: I needed to not do anything after.
- 37:34Speaker 1: We'll put that off till I'm thinking maybe March or
- 37:38Speaker 1: April or even May. But I want to go to
- 37:40Speaker 1: like Bora Bora or Maldive, somewhere more like you know,
- 37:43Speaker 1: a tropical island that neither John or I have been to.
- 37:46Speaker 1: So I don't know when the best weather for that.
- 37:48Speaker 1: We haven't even started planning it yet. But yeah, So
- 37:50Speaker 1: for me, the holidays are all about like I am
- 37:53Speaker 1: the one that wants to put the tree up and
- 37:54Speaker 1: do all of that, So I want to host and
- 37:56Speaker 1: that's so, it's like it just seemed stressful to me
- 37:59Speaker 1: after that big of a you know event, to then
- 38:02Speaker 1: think about leaving again for ten days and worrying about
- 38:05Speaker 1: the kids and leaving them.
- 38:06Speaker 2: We are, Oh, this is funny though.
- 38:09Speaker 1: So about two months ago, after John knew I didn't
- 38:12Speaker 1: want to take a honeymoon okay right away, and he
- 38:14Speaker 1: wouldn't have been as stressed as I would.
- 38:16Speaker 2: It's more it's more falls on my shoulders.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I think he would have been okay, but I just
- 38:19Speaker 1: didn't the one that it's life's too busy right now.
- 38:21Speaker 4: But he.
- 38:23Speaker 2: I get a.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Note from maybe it was four three months ago, but
- 38:26Speaker 1: I get a you know, a message that my high
- 38:28Speaker 1: school reunion is going to be October. In October, okay,
- 38:31Speaker 1: so it's coming up.
- 38:33Speaker 2: So I'm leaving. We're leaving for five.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Days, and I'm like, sorry, honey, your your high your
- 38:38Speaker 1: honeymoon's my high school reunion.
- 38:39Speaker 2: And he's like, don't you kind of want to go
- 38:41Speaker 2: do that on your own? Aren't you gonna Are you
- 38:42Speaker 2: gonna enjoy your friends more on your own? And I'm like, nope,
- 38:45Speaker 2: you're coming with me?
- 38:46Speaker 5: Are you taking them with you?
- 38:49Speaker 1: But the good part about that is he's going to
- 38:51Speaker 1: see for John, he's going to see my family farm
- 38:53Speaker 1: and and we'll go visit that side of my family.
- 38:56Speaker 1: And then Galena's going to come meet us for a day.
- 38:59Speaker 1: She's in Kansas City, so she's gonna meet us a day,
- 39:01Speaker 1: and then we're going to go visit my my other
- 39:03Speaker 1: uncle who was who couldn't travel, and and and John's
- 39:06Speaker 1: going to get to meet him because they're very important
- 39:08Speaker 1: parts of my life. So it's kind of like a
- 39:09Speaker 1: it's kind of like a family reunion after the wedding
- 39:11Speaker 1: for people that couldn't go.
- 39:13Speaker 2: And then yeah, and the family and the and.
- 39:16Speaker 1: The whole high.
- 39:18Speaker 2: School reunion thing. Can you believe I can say I
- 39:20Speaker 2: have a thirtieth high school reunion? Oh mg?
- 39:24Speaker 5: I one million percent cannot.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm like, guys, I'm texting the senior, you know,
- 39:31Speaker 1: the class president. I'm like, I'm like, are you sure
- 39:33Speaker 1: it's not our twenty fifth?
- 39:34Speaker 2: Are you sure you did the math? Right there?
- 39:38Speaker 5: It's crazy. Listen forever twenty seven?
- 39:41Speaker 2: That's oh girlfriend, That's what I say all the time. Yeah,
- 39:45Speaker 2: I still feel twenty seven in my heart, like.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Same wherever that Yeah, a million percent so well.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I think this has been absolutely fabulous, and getting back
- 39:59Speaker 1: to like getting to hear more about your wedding because
- 40:01Speaker 1: it kind of took us on a little memory lane
- 40:03Speaker 1: venture and the fact that we were both at each
- 40:05Speaker 1: other's weddings.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Now, I hope this is like forever our last.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Like you know, I'm praying because Lord knows, my track
- 40:10Speaker 1: record has not been great.
- 40:12Speaker 2: But I'm kidding, I am.
- 40:14Speaker 5: I'm very confident.
- 40:16Speaker 2: I feel good. I feel good that it's my last.
- 40:18Speaker 1: But and as you know, you know, I'm wishing you
- 40:23Speaker 1: with the rest of your day to be a very
- 40:24Speaker 1: blessed and happy day. But I'm also a kind of
- 40:26Speaker 1: a reminder to everyone never give up on finding your
- 40:29Speaker 1: true love, because it can happen for me again.
