- Thomas: Friends, man. friends, how many of us have them? That's A. If that's even the lyrics. But she Butch what you what you Hey. We we move. It is what it is. Hey, somebody signed me, man. Motel Records. I'll just play. but yeah, no, no. I think I think friends, man, it's important to keep a close circle. I think you you kind of are what you hang around or you are what you like are brought around. So I think as you get older, life life gets serious. having those close people, like people you can actually consider like friends, family. Like to me personally, it's hard to say that I even have Friends, because people that I say friends, I like to think of as like family. Like it's Malcolm: Yep. Thomas: it's really levels to it, man. And and I think that everyone should be like that. Yes, you can have a lot of associates, you can have a lot of people you're cool with that you can talk to, that you can do things with. but when you really talk about a friend, like a close friend, those Malcolm: Mm-hmm. Thomas: should be people you trust like with with your life, man. Like obviously hopefully you're never in a situation where you literally have to have that type of trust. But like life is short and we live in some trying times. But you you need people and I think it's Malcolm: Mm-hmm. Thomas: important to make sure you keep those people close. You don't have to talk every day, especially, you know, I I'm not a not a woman. Maybe this is something where we could have a you know woman on here to have a latest perspective on, like how that is for for women. But as a dude, it's like you don't have to talk all the time. You don't have to talk every day. You don't have to you know, just let let each other know about every little thing going on in life. But it it's an understanding. Like, that's your boy, like y'all are there and you let each other know y'all have like big accomplishments or even things you just want to talk about. You should there should be people you can talk to about anything, realistically. well an anything that's that's appropriate. You know what I mean? there's there's time and place for everything. Some stuff you gotta keep between you and the Lord. But you know, it's like Yeah, I would just say, man, is the tw 20s are important, especially like in our case where it's like for me, I'm kind of far away. Like I'm in a strange place. I'm in like I might as well be on Mars, man. and and I haven't I don't see people all that often. But yeah, I mean that's kind of my I I don't even know if I answer the question, bro. I just it's important to have friends. average person only having a few friends. Like that that is facts, bro. You don't need a whole lot of people. People that have a whole lot of friends. Like people that they can say, that's my friend, that's my friend, that's my friend, and you're an adult. That's questionable. 'Cause like how many people of those people really have your back? How many of them are really gonna like support you if something comes out, Malcolm: Mm-hmm. Thomas: someone tries to slander your name? So you know, how many of them are gonna stand up for you when you're not around, speak positively on you? That's who you wanna keep around. Malcolm: Yeah. Nah that's that's that that's exactly what it is, but that's one of the core things that I define as a good friend. What is how do they act? How do they defend you? How do they protect your name when you're not in the room?
