- 0:00Speaker 1: There we go. Yo, what it do? We're back again, sir.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Episode on the Grounded Show and another one facts Man
- 0:09Speaker 1: shout out. Shout out to aj Man. He been hooking
- 0:12Speaker 1: us up with the visuals in the vibes last week.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I mean not last week. The last couple of weeks
- 0:17Speaker 1: episode that we did was a big hit. People was
- 0:19Speaker 1: rocking with it. Yeah, we got a lot engagement. A
- 0:22Speaker 1: lot of people had lots to say about the boxing
- 0:24Speaker 1: takes we.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Had, you know what I mean, I love it though.
- 0:27Speaker 2: That's what we're looking for, you know what I mean.
- 0:29Speaker 2: We're not looking for everybody agree with us. We're looking
- 0:31Speaker 2: no fact, people engage with us.
- 0:33Speaker 1: But yeah, man, seems like a lot of the boxing
- 0:36Speaker 1: stuff has kind of died down, at least for the
- 0:38Speaker 1: time being. Yeah. One thing that recently happened that we
- 0:42Speaker 1: were just talking about before we turned the cameras on
- 0:44Speaker 1: was the Lebron James decision. Yeah. So when I was
- 0:49Speaker 1: thinking about it, I was wondering if it had anything
- 0:52Speaker 1: to do with this rumored league that Lebron is totally talking.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I believe I don't remember if this part is exactly true,
- 1:01Speaker 1: but I believe the rumor is that he's talking to
- 1:04Speaker 1: maybe somebody in the Saudi government because they're doing a
- 1:08Speaker 1: lot of entertainment based stuff. They're really trying to like
- 1:11Speaker 1: aggressively get into like the United States entertainment world, you
- 1:16Speaker 1: know what I mean. They're hosting a WrestleMania, they had
- 1:19Speaker 1: that live golf thing, they did the boxing event that
- 1:22Speaker 1: when they're talking about, you know what I mean. So
- 1:24Speaker 1: they're really aggressively trying to get into that. But there's
- 1:28Speaker 1: been a rumor going for like the last like year
- 1:31Speaker 1: two years or something that Lebron after he's done in
- 1:35Speaker 1: the league, he's going to try to do some kind
- 1:38Speaker 1: of league himself where it's like more euro style basketball,
- 1:43Speaker 1: And obviously, like the goal is to make it kind
- 1:46Speaker 1: of different than the NBA, which is like kind of
- 1:50Speaker 1: loaded in a lot of different senses, because like one
- 1:53Speaker 1: thing is like, dang, the NBA was your bread and
- 1:56Speaker 1: butter for twenty plus years, and then if it's you're
- 2:00Speaker 1: gonna just go straight into let me, let me start
- 2:03Speaker 1: a rival league, you know what I mean.
- 2:05Speaker 2: But everybody knows that Lebron has i won't say hated,
- 2:09Speaker 2: but disliked much about the NBA. That's why became such
- 2:14Speaker 2: a crick and I gotta and I'm rapping Lebron. I
- 2:16Speaker 2: got my Lebron's shirt on now. But he's cried about
- 2:20Speaker 2: the calls. He's cried about this.
- 2:22Speaker 1: He's had a lot of like little dis year a
- 2:25Speaker 1: lot of the time. Major.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That's why people call him the cry baby. And I
- 2:29Speaker 2: think that reflects on the fact of how he thinks
- 2:33Speaker 2: the NBA should be ran different. The league should just
- 2:37Speaker 2: be ran different, just regulated differently than how it is now.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And I think now he has a power to do
- 2:44Speaker 2: something about it.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah, facts, I'm interested in seeing it because honestly, depending
- 2:51Speaker 1: on what they're looking at. As far as the style
- 2:53Speaker 1: of basketball, I would definitely say, definitely say, as like
- 2:56Speaker 1: a lifelong NBA fan, the product lately has left a
- 2:59Speaker 1: lot to be desired. Like that's an easy way to
- 3:01Speaker 1: say it. Bro. Sometimes I'll tune into a regular season
- 3:05Speaker 1: game and it's literally just back and forth, three pointers,
- 3:09Speaker 1: no skill, no nothing, just Bro. I'm not trying to
- 3:13Speaker 1: watch that, Bro, Like I could if I could see
- 3:15Speaker 1: that in the LA Fitness Bro, you know what I mean. Like,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to see the NBA played in a way
- 3:19Speaker 1: where it's like the elite players playing elite basketball. And
- 3:24Speaker 1: if you're tuning into NBA TV, Yeah, if you're tuning
- 3:28Speaker 1: into NBA TV on a Thursday night, you're not seeing
- 3:30Speaker 1: elite basketball. You seeing mediocre basketball. And it's one of
- 3:34Speaker 1: them things where like.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Like jokers MVP and he should in three pointers all
- 3:38Speaker 2: the time, you know what I mean. Like for his size,
- 3:41Speaker 2: you want to see him in the paint, you want
- 3:42Speaker 2: to see him dominating what he does occasionally, but the
- 3:45Speaker 2: fact that he resorts a lot of the times to
- 3:47Speaker 2: the three pointer because he can make them.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And I don't even feel like it's just because he
- 3:51Speaker 1: can make them. I think it's also him knowing where
- 3:53Speaker 1: the game is now, you know what I mean, because
- 3:56Speaker 1: like he's a justin to he definitely seems like the
- 3:58Speaker 1: type of player that would be more into like staying low,
- 4:01Speaker 1: staying in the block, you know, kind of controlling the
- 4:04Speaker 1: game from there. But you can't do that now and
- 4:06Speaker 1: be like a top player because the way the game is,
- 4:08Speaker 1: you know, So if it improves the game, I'm all
- 4:12Speaker 1: for it. Like even just putting pressure on the NBA.
- 4:15Speaker 1: It's kind of like the wrestling thing, like back in
- 4:17Speaker 1: the day it was WWE, WCW and they was competing,
- 4:21Speaker 1: so like they were both trying to be the best.
- 4:23Speaker 1: So that's like the height of wrestling. With the NBA,
- 4:26Speaker 1: they've never really had competition, you know what I mean,
- 4:29Speaker 1: Like it's always.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Just point Like WWE, you know, they hold the reins
- 4:35Speaker 2: for the wrestling world, but you still got aw you
- 4:38Speaker 2: have TNA and WCW. Do you think they could take
- 4:42Speaker 2: the fanship from the NBA just because it's a league
- 4:47Speaker 2: that Lebron James helped establish and they're changing the rules.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Do you think they could take the fanship from the
- 4:52Speaker 2: NBA that easily.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I think it'll take a lot of time for sure.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Kind of like with the WWE is like an established brand.
- 5:02Speaker 1: They already have the media rights like with different uh
- 5:08Speaker 1: you know, distributors and streaming broadcasters. Yeah, exactly. They already
- 5:11Speaker 1: have everything already set up. They have their infrastructure, you know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: they have the system you know of how to you know,
- 5:18Speaker 1: set up the cords. They already got relationships with the
- 5:20Speaker 1: arenas and stuff. So it'll definitely take time. But if
- 5:23Speaker 1: they can get the stars, and that is the key,
- 5:26Speaker 1: and it's and it's a it's an exciting form of
- 5:30Speaker 1: basketball that people enjoy. You know what I mean, Like
- 5:32Speaker 1: this is like really a moment, Like if it does happen,
- 5:35Speaker 1: it'll be a moment where like people can put their
- 5:37Speaker 1: money where their mouth is, because there's so many people
- 5:39Speaker 1: that have always said, like, oh, the NBA and like
- 5:42Speaker 1: what it used to be. So what if they give
- 5:44Speaker 1: you a product that's more like what you used to watch?
- 5:46Speaker 1: Are you actually gonna watch it? Are you actually gonna
- 5:48Speaker 1: tune in? You know what I mean?
- 5:49Speaker 2: And that's a good it's a good point. And you
- 5:51Speaker 2: referenced it earlier, like live golf. The best advantage they
- 5:54Speaker 2: had that they took a bunch of the stars and
- 5:57Speaker 2: then once the PGA said, hey, if anybody goes over there,
- 6:01Speaker 2: you're excluded from competing in the PGA, And that's when
- 6:03Speaker 2: they settled things down, like all right, yeah, all right now,
- 6:06Speaker 2: now all right, we'll go and bring it back. If
- 6:08Speaker 2: we can't compete in the PGA, then I get it.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah, man, something uh, something we had talked about before
- 6:19Speaker 1: we pulled up. Man, it's because so I've been me
- 6:23Speaker 1: and my wife, like our cool down thing is watching
- 6:26Speaker 1: TV at night. You know what I'm saying, Like what
- 6:28Speaker 1: we'll do like an hour, So like if it's a
- 6:31Speaker 1: thirty minute show. We could watch a couple of episodes
- 6:33Speaker 1: if it's like a long show to watch one, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 1: and then you know, turn it off, go to sleep. Whatever.
- 6:39Speaker 1: But it's been tough, brocause like I don't know, Bro,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I just feel like so many shows be asked. Bro. Yeah,
- 6:45Speaker 1: like I watched something like I'm not like, like, I'm
- 6:48Speaker 1: not the type that I'm gonna see this through. Like
- 6:51Speaker 1: if this is whack, like sometimes you know, something that
- 6:53Speaker 1: pisses me off, brous people be like you got to
- 6:55Speaker 1: power through the first season. Bro. Yeah, if a whole
- 6:59Speaker 1: season of the show is assd, I'm not trying to
- 7:02Speaker 1: watch it. Bro, I'm not a power through the first
- 7:04Speaker 1: season kind of person facts. Bro, Like if this don't
- 7:07Speaker 1: grab me from the first episode or like the first
- 7:10Speaker 1: second of the second episode, bro, I'm I don't care. Bro,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I'm not going to go through pain
- 7:17Speaker 1: watching the show. Bro.
- 7:18Speaker 2: That was with me with Ozark and everybody loves I
- 7:22Speaker 2: like Ozark.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I wasn't like like, oh my god, but I
- 7:25Speaker 1: liked it.
- 7:25Speaker 2: But I couldn't do it. I couldn't get through the
- 7:27Speaker 2: first season. If I can't get through the first season.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I'm not going to get through the rest of them.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yo. So funny that you bring up Ozark, but or
- 7:36Speaker 1: just even talking about other shows, because like my thing
- 7:39Speaker 1: was me and my wife started talking about like what's
- 7:42Speaker 1: the perfect length for a show, and we kind of
- 7:44Speaker 1: landed on like five and seasons, you know what I mean,
- 7:47Speaker 1: Like usually that's like the space where it's like it's perfect.
- 7:50Speaker 1: She was kind of leaning a little more towards like four.
- 7:53Speaker 1: But then we looked up like the shows like, for example,
- 7:56Speaker 1: like the shows that are five seasons with the best rating,
- 8:01Speaker 1: like the best shows of all time five seasons. Right.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So number ten on the list that is actually a
- 8:07Speaker 1: Collider list. The list is let me see who wrote
- 8:11Speaker 1: the list, because I didn't even check that this is
- 8:14Speaker 1: Dawson Niffenegger for a platform though Collider. Oh Collider, gotcha.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So this is like the top ten of five season shows.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Number ten on the list Boardwalk Empire. You've seen Boardwalk
- 8:30Speaker 1: Empire first two seasons. Dang, I'm a Bullwark Empire fan.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I like the whole teament. I like so so thumbs
- 8:40Speaker 1: up and thumbs down for Bollwalk Empire from you. I
- 8:44Speaker 1: couldn't get through it.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Because and it might just be me, all right, I
- 8:48Speaker 2: can't get through old timey shows. I've heard that from
- 8:52Speaker 2: a few people, But I can't get through that's my joint.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Bro. I love the old timey stuff. I like the old.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Stuff, man, I want present stuff because I got to
- 9:02Speaker 2: adapt and realize that, Okay, this is a different time.
- 9:06Speaker 1: You know, there's there's something because.
- 9:08Speaker 2: There's one on that list that I'm I'm gonna put
- 9:11Speaker 2: as my number one, but there's some that I can't.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And Borock Empire was dope.
- 9:16Speaker 2: You know the history of Atlantic City and how all
- 9:18Speaker 2: that came to be and there were mobsters, right, yeah, yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 2: their mobsters, how Atlantic City was spilt.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I've been in Atlantic City. And the dope thing about
- 9:25Speaker 1: Borwok Empire too, is like it's pretty historically accurate, like
- 9:29Speaker 1: a prohibition yep. Literally, the first episode of Borwok Empire
- 9:34Speaker 1: is the first night that prohibition starts. Yeah I remember that. Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 1: so like and and the people that are involved, like,
- 9:40Speaker 1: for example, one of the characters that you get introduced
- 9:42Speaker 1: to and it's part of the whole show is Lucky Luciano,
- 9:45Speaker 1: which is the guy that's basically credited with being the
- 9:48Speaker 1: godfathers around the mafia families in the United States, and
- 9:53Speaker 1: this guy came from Atlantic City and it kind of
- 9:55Speaker 1: came up through those range. He's part of the story. Man,
- 9:59Speaker 1: I'm like History Nerd two though, you know what I mean.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So lot of stuff like that. I love it. Bro.
- 10:04Speaker 2: For movies, yeah, like Casino when they had all that
- 10:08Speaker 2: mobster and how Vegas was built.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I love that. But I just couldn't stay hooked in
- 10:14Speaker 1: the Borderwalk Empire. I couldn't. I feel that. I feel
- 10:17Speaker 1: that all right. So number nine on the list, The Magicians,
- 10:21Speaker 1: a show that ran from twenty fifteen to twenty twenty.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I've never even heard of this show. I never heard
- 10:27Speaker 1: of that show. But on here, the audience rating is
- 10:32Speaker 1: ten out of ten. Bro, it's the only show on
- 10:34Speaker 1: this list that's rated ten out of ten, The Magicians.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So me and Val was like, man, I might have
- 10:41Speaker 1: to check that out, because Bro, the only the only
- 10:43Speaker 1: show on this list ten out of ten. Like might
- 10:46Speaker 1: be a good one. I don't really know what it's about. Honestly,
- 10:49Speaker 1: it's some kind of like supernatural type vibe. Yeah, I
- 10:53Speaker 1: love magic. It was on sci Fi. I would be
- 10:55Speaker 1: interested in that. It was on sci Fi, so maybe
- 10:57Speaker 1: you know twenty fifteen to twenty nineteen and ran a
- 11:00Speaker 1: so on sci Fi, So that was number nine. Number
- 11:04Speaker 1: eight is Merlin two thousand and eight to twenty twelve.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I've never seen Merlin. I've heard of it before. It
- 11:11Speaker 1: kind of looked like to me like one of them
- 11:13Speaker 1: shows that was like old timey but corny, old timey,
- 11:16Speaker 1: you know what I mean, the Magician or the Wizard
- 11:18Speaker 1: or what. Yeah, it's about the wizard, like the Fantasy
- 11:22Speaker 1: Wizard Merlin, you know what I mean. And it's you know,
- 11:26Speaker 1: classic folklore type vibe, you know what I mean, like
- 11:29Speaker 1: old timey stories and stuff like that. I might check
- 11:32Speaker 1: that one out because it's nine point three out of ten.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's one of the higher rated shows on this list too.
- 11:37Speaker 1: But the way, you know, there's certain shows like that
- 11:41Speaker 1: just have that like daytime TV kind of look to
- 11:44Speaker 1: them and they just look corny. The acting is corny,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like that's that's just the
- 11:49Speaker 1: way it looks to me. Like for example, like Pretty
- 11:52Speaker 1: Little Liars, My wife be watching that all the time.
- 11:54Speaker 1: That shows trash and the acting is bro I just
- 11:59Speaker 1: can't I can't believe how these people got on TV. Bro, insane. Bro,
- 12:03Speaker 1: same thing with like Vampire Diaries. My wife be watching that, Bro,
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'll be like, this is horrendous. What are you doing?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Gill More Girls, Give More Girls. If he was a
- 12:12Speaker 2: big fan of that one.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Bruh, I'm sorry, man, but them shows are ass Bro.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I could certified onions.
- 12:19Speaker 2: When I was younger, maybe, like I was a Dawson's
- 12:21Speaker 2: Creek fan when it was airing on TV.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but that was that was because you wasn't smart
- 12:25Speaker 1: enough yet could fact like, there's no way I can
- 12:29Speaker 1: go back and watch that today. Facts. So this one, bro,
- 12:33Speaker 1: didn't even ring a bell at all. It's a BBC
- 12:36Speaker 1: show AO Orphan Black twenty thirteen to twenty seventeen. So
- 12:42Speaker 1: it's a British show. Oh actually it's Canadian, Canadian sci
- 12:44Speaker 1: fi series, sci fi thriller. The premise of it is
- 12:49Speaker 1: about a Torontonian woman who witnesses the death of a
- 12:53Speaker 1: woman who looks exactly like her. Yeah, so that's you know,
- 12:57Speaker 1: that's how it starts. That one's rated nine point zero,
- 13:00Speaker 1: so that one's pretty high up there. Also, yo, who's
- 13:02Speaker 1: rating this? This is Dawson's Creek, dude? No, no, So
- 13:05Speaker 1: like the ratings are like audience ratings. Okay, so reporting
- 13:08Speaker 1: the guy. The guy is listing them because like even
- 13:10Speaker 1: like some of the things on the list that are
- 13:13Speaker 1: like higher like one, two, three, four, some of those
- 13:16Speaker 1: are rated like seven out of ten. Gotcha, you know
- 13:17Speaker 1: what I mean. Like, so this is just his list,
- 13:19Speaker 1: but like with the audience ratings as well. So number
- 13:23Speaker 1: six was one that surprised me. But I'm glad it
- 13:27Speaker 1: was on there, and it made me feel good that
- 13:29Speaker 1: it was on there because I love this show bro
- 13:31Speaker 1: Key and Peel. Bro Yeah, I did that.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I still watch Key and Peck, Key and Peel skits
- 13:38Speaker 2: to this day.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yo.
- 13:39Speaker 2: But I think you know, there's some shows that are
- 13:41Speaker 2: perfect to end. If they try to keep going, they're
- 13:46Speaker 2: going to reproduce the jokes and stuff's gonna stop getting
- 13:50Speaker 2: funnier than the originally was.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna say something, bro not culturally and not like
- 13:57Speaker 1: as far as like like what it Man and like
- 14:01Speaker 1: Monumental and everything. It's not better than Chappelle's show, but
- 14:06Speaker 1: funny wise, bro like just straight laughs, Key and Peel
- 14:10Speaker 1: is better than Chappelle's show. Bro Key and Peel every episode,
- 14:15Speaker 1: damn near every skit had me laughing, bro, Like that
- 14:19Speaker 1: show is fucking hilarious, bro. And like Chappelle show had
- 14:23Speaker 1: some spots that were like, nah, it's funny, you know
- 14:26Speaker 1: what I mean. And then especially like that lost Lost
- 14:29Speaker 1: Skits season, which wasn't really like a season that he did,
- 14:33Speaker 1: you know what I mean, But that season was kind
- 14:35Speaker 1: of buns, you know what I mean, and you needed
- 14:39Speaker 1: to come in a it's all good of him, all right,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but yeah, that season was like buns, you know what
- 14:45Speaker 1: I mean.
- 14:45Speaker 2: But Key and Peele, Bro, I think what Kim Peel
- 14:49Speaker 2: did good at the best was to gauge what was
- 14:53Speaker 2: funny and how long it needed to be funny. For
- 14:56Speaker 2: like some of the classic scenes like when the dude
- 15:00Speaker 2: when the two boys are talking about their wives and
- 15:02Speaker 2: he's like I said, I said, you know, like it
- 15:08Speaker 2: went on just enough to the point where like, all right,
- 15:10Speaker 2: if it goes any further from the space scene.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I feel you they they knew when to pull the
- 15:15Speaker 1: plug on the skit, you know what I mean.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Like all all, I felt like all their jokes were
- 15:19Speaker 2: just long enough to stay funny as opposed to like,
- 15:23Speaker 2: all right, you're dragging it out.
- 15:25Speaker 1: And I think they did a really good job at that.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And that's why I feel when they realized that season
- 15:30Speaker 2: five is like all right, I think we joked out
- 15:33Speaker 2: and we need to just enter right here so you
- 15:34Speaker 2: could stay.
- 15:34Speaker 1: A classic is the cult classic.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Now memes are used to this day, like the Barack
- 15:39Speaker 2: Obama where he's shaking hands with white people and dashing
- 15:43Speaker 2: black people.
- 15:43Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like it's used as a
- 15:45Speaker 1: meme to this day. I think they did a really
- 15:47Speaker 1: good Yeah, they got some classics. A A.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Ron, the college football names, the Craarrs like those are
- 15:54Speaker 2: still classic. It's still funny today. Did a really good job.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Like I said, I was was on the list, but
- 16:01Speaker 1: I was happy it was on the list. It was fire. Yeah,
- 16:03Speaker 1: I agree with that. So number five you I've never
- 16:07Speaker 1: seen it. I know it was a huge show. Romantic
- 16:11Speaker 1: psychological thriller.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he was like a crazy ass stark dude. So
- 16:16Speaker 2: if you watched it.
- 16:17Speaker 1: That genre to me don't really be hitting. But it's
- 16:21Speaker 1: rated nine point eight out of ten, you know what
- 16:23Speaker 1: I mean. I can't argue, you know what I mean?
- 16:26Speaker 1: This is just a taste thing. I don't like shows.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I'm not a you fan. I don't care. I couldn't
- 16:33Speaker 2: get into it. It's not my thing. Wife he loved it,
- 16:36Speaker 2: but I just didn't care about watching the premise of
- 16:40Speaker 2: this psychle dude and the stuff he did and continue
- 16:43Speaker 2: to watch general TAKEO was in it though, and I
- 16:45Speaker 2: heard she she had a great role in it.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Not a jener r take a fan.
- 16:48Speaker 2: But other than that, I probably will never watch it
- 16:52Speaker 2: in my life.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Now, I feel you. It's one of them shows that
- 16:54Speaker 1: I probably never watch. Also, yeah, so another show on here,
- 16:58Speaker 1: The Last Kingdom twenty fifteen twenty two.
- 17:01Speaker 2: About that, I've always heard a lot about that show,
- 17:03Speaker 2: but I've never watched it.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that show is a BBC show as well. This
- 17:08Speaker 1: one high on the list the audience rating seven out
- 17:12Speaker 1: of ten. So it's like people say it's better than average. Yeah,
- 17:17Speaker 1: it's an old timey show. So and it says it's
- 17:21Speaker 1: largely based on true events, So it might be something
- 17:23Speaker 1: that I check out because I like stuff like I've
- 17:25Speaker 1: heard a lot of.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Good things about that. I don't care, but I just
- 17:27Speaker 2: never took the time to watch it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So number three was kind of bold but not bold.
- 17:31Speaker 1: At the same time, they put stranger things in there
- 17:36Speaker 1: before the last season even dropped, Like we know, Stranger
- 17:39Speaker 1: Things is only going to be five seasons supposedly because
- 17:43Speaker 1: you never know.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Well, they're gonna be freaking adults by the time they
- 17:47Speaker 2: try to do it sixty.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's other shows that have like picked up
- 17:50Speaker 1: later on, you know what I mean with a new story,
- 17:52Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I don't think they can.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I don't know, bro, if it makes it some money
- 17:56Speaker 1: and they're all down, you never know, bro, No, I
- 17:59Speaker 1: just didn't.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I don't think they could keep the lore of the
- 18:01Speaker 2: If Stranger Things goes to a season six, they don't
- 18:04Speaker 2: keep the lore of what these kids went through.
- 18:07Speaker 1: No. No, But what I'm saying is like it could
- 18:09Speaker 1: even be something where like it just takes a long
- 18:12Speaker 1: break and comes back five years down the line and
- 18:15Speaker 1: they just put them as parents, you know what I mean, Like, oh,
- 18:17Speaker 1: now it's a different story, you know what I mean. Okay,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I'll give you that. Okay, so season six needs to
- 18:22Speaker 1: take a while. It could be one of them type
- 18:24Speaker 1: of things to see that. You know. A matter of fact, man,
- 18:26Speaker 1: my kids are a big fan of that. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:30Speaker 1: that's what I was going to talk about. Man, we
- 18:31Speaker 1: went to the Stranger Things experience when they had in
- 18:34Speaker 1: Atlanta back in the day. Bro, that joint was super dope.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It's almost like a Halloween Horror Nights type of house,
- 18:40Speaker 1: like interactive. It's kind of longer escape room style. Like, Bro,
- 18:45Speaker 1: It's just that joint was super dope. I've seen they
- 18:47Speaker 1: doing one in Dallas now, like it's some kind of
- 18:49Speaker 1: Stranger Things experience. I wonder what that's gonna be.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Like I said, I don't like old timing shows, but
- 18:54Speaker 2: Stranger Things. You know, I'm an eighties baby. You know,
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'm an old man, and I can late growing up
- 19:01Speaker 2: in that setting and everything that they had in that show.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I remember growing up as and I think that appealed
- 19:08Speaker 2: to me a lot, which made me like the show
- 19:10Speaker 2: more and enjoy watching it more.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and Stranger Things is nine point two out of ten.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So how you rated? Okay, I'll give it a ten
- 19:17Speaker 1: out of ten. Number two on the list, Breaking Bad
- 19:21Speaker 1: Way to twenty thirteen. I remember distinctly watching I distinctly
- 19:26Speaker 1: remember watching the first episode of Breaking Bad and saying, Bro,
- 19:30Speaker 1: I don't know how they're going to keep this going,
- 19:32Speaker 1: But somehow they did. For five seasons. Bro, that show
- 19:35Speaker 1: was amazing yeah, good writers.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I have a funny story about Breaking Bad that kind
- 19:39Speaker 2: of got me tight. I thought it was seven seasons,
- 19:43Speaker 2: and it's because you know some I know it's five seasons,
- 19:45Speaker 2: but you know how some networks break up the season
- 19:48Speaker 2: in the middle and they take like a season off
- 19:51Speaker 2: and they so I'm like, oh, it's seven seasons, right,
- 19:54Speaker 2: So I'm on season five and this was like I
- 19:56Speaker 2: was working.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I just had it in the background. I was like, oh,
- 19:58Speaker 1: you know, got two seasons too.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And then I realized I was on the last
- 20:03Speaker 2: episode and I'm looking. I was like, there's no way,
- 20:06Speaker 2: I'm on the last episode. And I haven't like really
- 20:09Speaker 2: paid attention to enjoy this. And to this day, I
- 20:12Speaker 2: have never watched the last episode of Break Them Back.
- 20:15Speaker 1: You Got you gotta rewatch the whole time.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I know what happens, but I never watched it. It's
- 20:19Speaker 2: because I didn't appreciate that it was the last season
- 20:22Speaker 2: and paid attention to it because I thought it was
- 20:24Speaker 2: seven seasons, because that's how Netflix had it in seven
- 20:28Speaker 2: seasons because they split it apart. But it was only
- 20:30Speaker 2: five seasons, so it's like I got two more seasons
- 20:32Speaker 2: to catch up and really fully pay attention and absorb
- 20:36Speaker 2: that last season I didn't. I'm so mad, and one
- 20:38Speaker 2: day I will go back and watch it from the beginning.
- 20:41Speaker 1: The binge watching. That's like the double edged short part
- 20:44Speaker 1: of it is like when there's so many episodes or something,
- 20:46Speaker 1: you could like fall asleep for a couple of minutes
- 20:49Speaker 1: and then like you won't even notice because you've just
- 20:51Speaker 1: been watching already a few episodes. You don't know where
- 20:53Speaker 1: you're at, you know, like you don't you don't really
- 20:56Speaker 1: differentiate season endings like you do when you watch it live,
- 20:59Speaker 1: because like you're just watching, watching, watching, so it like
- 21:02Speaker 1: kind of changes the experience. Well, yeah, yo, number one
- 21:05Speaker 1: on this list. What was Buddy's name again? I'm about
- 21:09Speaker 1: to look it up. Dawson. Uh yeah it was Dawson, right,
- 21:13Speaker 1: Dawson something. Let's see all right, Dawson Niffenegger. O. Yo, bro,
- 21:21Speaker 1: number one on your list? Top ten five season shows?
- 21:25Speaker 1: He put the Twilight Zone? Bro? How old is this guy?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Bruh nineteen fifty nine and nineteen sixty four, Bruh, don't
- 21:37Speaker 1: nobody need your movie movie geek take. Yeah, that's like,
- 21:41Speaker 1: let's put a real thing at number one.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You can't go from Stranger Things to Breaking Bad to
- 21:45Speaker 2: twilight Zone.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Bro, like you you hit your list was hitting with
- 21:49Speaker 1: that number one? Dog it was too it was too deep,
- 21:52Speaker 1: Like you went too deep with it, bro, Just put it.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Just put it. If you wanted to show love to
- 21:57Speaker 1: one of the o g's, this is another thing, bro,
- 22:00Speaker 1: this whole Like I get it, like showing love to
- 22:03Speaker 1: the people before us and stuff like that. But bro,
- 22:06Speaker 1: come on, man, yeah, come on man, twilight Zone best
- 22:10Speaker 1: five season show of all time. Like, I get the influence.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I get that a lot of stuff was taken ideal
- 22:17Speaker 1: wise from twilight Zone. I get it, Bro, I get
- 22:21Speaker 1: the significance in TV. But no, bro, no bro.
- 22:26Speaker 2: And to like I said, all those shows in that
- 22:29Speaker 2: list and then to resort a lot of people don't
- 22:32Speaker 2: even know who Alfred Hitchcock is.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Bro.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Literally, Like I was watching TV show with wifey and
- 22:37Speaker 2: I was like, oh, that's out for Hitchcock. She's like,
- 22:39Speaker 2: who's that? And I'll say, all right, all right, let
- 22:42Speaker 2: me tell you. That's what I mean. You can't you
- 22:44Speaker 2: can't end the list with the number one with twilight Zone.
- 22:48Speaker 1: It just doesn't work like that.
- 22:49Speaker 2: That's what I hate about all the lists that are
- 22:51Speaker 2: made today, whether it's the top artist, female artists, R
- 22:55Speaker 2: and B artists, hip hop artists, like, people aren't staying
- 22:59Speaker 2: true to how the list should build up. They're trying
- 23:02Speaker 2: to appeal to some certain kind of freaking a group
- 23:07Speaker 2: of users that are going to read the article and
- 23:09Speaker 2: agree with it.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Man, it kind of goes into like what we
- 23:12Speaker 1: were talking about last week and is just what's like
- 23:14Speaker 1: a theme right now, Like even me, like working on music,
- 23:17Speaker 1: it's like trying to find that balance of like where
- 23:20Speaker 1: you need to be in the content space. Yeah, you
- 23:22Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like how can I be effective
- 23:26Speaker 1: with what I'm doing but also like not do too much,
- 23:30Speaker 1: not do too little, let people see, you know, the
- 23:36Speaker 1: stuff that I want them to see, but also like
- 23:39Speaker 1: not more than I want them to see, but enough
- 23:41Speaker 1: of what they want to see. Like it's just a
- 23:44Speaker 1: weird space to be in there very well. Find a balance.
- 23:48Speaker 1: And it's like people in general, like as a whole,
- 23:51Speaker 1: they're just so like down for like crash out Vibe
- 23:55Speaker 1: bro like, which is like we were talking before we
- 23:57Speaker 1: started recording by Cardi B. Is like that's like one
- 24:00Speaker 1: of the things that puts her over the top as
- 24:03Speaker 1: far as like exposure with people and being like the
- 24:06Speaker 1: topic of conversation because like she's always on some crash
- 24:09Speaker 1: out stuff. Yeah, and I'm not saying she's doing it
- 24:11Speaker 1: for that. I think it's just like her personality, but
- 24:14Speaker 1: it just works because people just want to see somebody
- 24:18Speaker 1: crashing out, bro like, and it's just one of those
- 24:20Speaker 1: things where it's like, bro, that's not what everybody wants
- 24:24Speaker 1: to do to express their art, you know what I mean?
- 24:26Speaker 2: And you know what, you know, what's something I thought
- 24:28Speaker 2: about the other day and you just reminded me of it.
- 24:31Speaker 1: That's what I like about group chats. It shows the
- 24:34Speaker 1: variety of.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Things we enjoy, right, And I know, I know, y'all,
- 24:38Speaker 2: y'all going on me what I don't enjoy, but I
- 24:42Speaker 2: appreciate that there's something out there that four out of
- 24:46Speaker 2: the people, four out of five of the people of
- 24:48Speaker 2: our group chat enjoy, but not me.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But four out of the five people enjoy it. So
- 24:53Speaker 1: that's good.
- 24:54Speaker 2: So keep making stuff facts that four out of the
- 24:56Speaker 2: five people enjoy and there's going to be that one
- 24:58Speaker 2: person that doesn't enjoy it.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Facts that's that's like Drake for me, bro, Like, y'all
- 25:02Speaker 1: all love Drake, and I'm like.
- 25:04Speaker 2: What what And we're not gonna stop enjoying him exactly.
- 25:09Speaker 2: You're not gonna stop clouding us from enjoying them. But
- 25:11Speaker 2: that's that's just the freaking Like the environment of what
- 25:20Speaker 2: appeals to you is right. You're gonna appeal to some
- 25:23Speaker 2: people and you're not due to others. But if you
- 25:26Speaker 2: keep appealing people who enjoy your stuff, that's all that matters.
- 25:30Speaker 2: The people who don't enjoy it are always going to
- 25:32Speaker 2: exist and they're gonna conflict with the people who enjoy
- 25:35Speaker 2: your stuff, but that's gonna give them something to talk about.
- 25:37Speaker 2: And you're just gonna keep coming up and that that
- 25:40Speaker 2: that's a good thing to me.
- 25:41Speaker 1: No fact, that is a good thing to me. Yeah. Man,
- 25:45Speaker 1: speaking of content and like quality of content and stuff. Man,
- 25:49Speaker 1: shout out to I and Dog and the homies at
- 25:52Speaker 1: the poly man he yo yo, man. We've been in
- 25:55Speaker 1: there cooking up right, And they just upgraded to the
- 26:00Speaker 1: all the music nerves out there, Man, they just upgraded
- 26:02Speaker 1: to the Sony C eight hundred G camera. It was
- 26:06Speaker 1: my first time seeing that baby in action, you know,
- 26:09Speaker 1: just being in the presence and recording on it. And
- 26:12Speaker 1: as soon as I record, I'm like, dang, bro, I
- 26:15Speaker 1: cannot record on anything but this from now just it
- 26:18Speaker 1: feels insane, bro. But yeah, man, it's like one of
- 26:23Speaker 1: those things kind of like relating it to the content,
- 26:25Speaker 1: like trying to figure out like do people value the
- 26:28Speaker 1: quality as much as the quantity or like what is it?
- 26:32Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Like it's like a funny,
- 26:34Speaker 1: little funny little back and forth and just trying to
- 26:37Speaker 1: figure out that angle of it out. Like a lot
- 26:41Speaker 1: of people that do anything creative now they kind of know,
- 26:44Speaker 1: like the vibe now is like you're also creating content
- 26:47Speaker 1: and you have to worry about that, you know, And
- 26:49Speaker 1: it's like, man, like sometimes it's like a task, but
- 26:52Speaker 1: at the same time, it's like, man, that's just the
- 26:56Speaker 1: obstacles that we're dealing with now, bro, Like there was
- 26:58Speaker 1: always some kind of obstacle in it. If you want
- 27:00Speaker 1: it bad enough, you just got to make it happen.
- 27:03Speaker 2: But that's that's one thing that I laugh about because
- 27:07Speaker 2: everybody says there's too much content out there. Meanwhile everybody
- 27:12Speaker 2: has a little bit in him that they want to
- 27:14Speaker 2: create content themselves. Now facts like just do it and
- 27:17Speaker 2: then they're worried about the quality of it. But you
- 27:20Speaker 2: can have the greatest quality in the world and just
- 27:22Speaker 2: not have any good content. And if you worried about
- 27:26Speaker 2: the quality over the content, the longevity in there just
- 27:30Speaker 2: doesn't exist. It's gonna fall out and eventually like, oh,
- 27:34Speaker 2: this looks really good, but I'm tired of hearing it.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean good. Example is like Kai sanat Bro
- 27:39Speaker 1: when he started, it was just a webcam, yeah, in
- 27:42Speaker 1: front of his computer, Bro, like, and he just made
- 27:44Speaker 1: it happen. Yo, We're gonna wrap up with this man, yo. Aja.
- 27:49Speaker 1: You ever rocked with wrestling back in the day or
- 27:52Speaker 1: not too much, yo, because like we were talking the
- 27:56Speaker 1: other day about what's the wrestlers that you remember from
- 28:00Speaker 1: when you was younger that like you rock with them,
- 28:03Speaker 1: but they never like really won, They never like won
- 28:06Speaker 1: any belt or anything. It's like you would always be
- 28:09Speaker 1: like like for example, like for me, Bro was Scotti
- 28:12Speaker 1: too hotty Bro. He would always he came out he
- 28:16Speaker 1: had the two cool entrance. You know, that song was dope.
- 28:20Speaker 1: He would do the worm in the match, you know
- 28:22Speaker 1: what I mean. But dog he would just take l
- 28:25Speaker 1: after l Bro, nothing but El's Dog. And every time
- 28:29Speaker 1: I would see Scotty too Hot, he take the l.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I mean, let me ask you this though, was it
- 28:35Speaker 2: his wrestling skill, his ability to the ring, or his
- 28:38Speaker 2: character that won you over?
- 28:40Speaker 1: I feel like it was a little both, because like,
- 28:42Speaker 1: like I said, the worm, you know what I mean.
- 28:44Speaker 1: But it was like, no, he didn't Yeah, he didn't finish,
- 28:49Speaker 1: and like he was like a smaller wrestler, so he
- 28:52Speaker 1: was like kind of agile jump off the top rope,
- 28:55Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So like I rocked with
- 28:58Speaker 1: Scotty Too Hot. That was my guy back, like guy Fieri, No,
- 29:01Speaker 1: I think you ain't lying like he did. You know.
- 29:07Speaker 1: It was so funny, like they just took these like
- 29:10Speaker 1: super like square white dudes and turn them into like
- 29:12Speaker 1: hip hop dudes. And I was just like, yo, who's
- 29:15Speaker 1: his teammates got too high? Grandmaster? Your grandmaster sex. They
- 29:19Speaker 1: used to go off the top rope, right, and he
- 29:21Speaker 1: had the goggles on his head and he would put
- 29:23Speaker 1: the goggles on and pretend like he was wiping them
- 29:26Speaker 1: off and then do the leg drop. I remember that. Yeah,
- 29:29Speaker 1: that was dope, I would have to say.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And like, you know, it's people who you still think
- 29:36Speaker 2: about today, and many people might not agree with me.
- 29:39Speaker 2: But you remember De Malinkoko said, dude, he was in
- 29:43Speaker 2: the Four Horsemen for Ale. That's what I'm saying. That's
- 29:46Speaker 2: what introduced me to him. Then he had his own
- 29:48Speaker 2: version of the Boston Crab.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, the Texas the Texas Clothes Relief, Texas
- 29:55Speaker 1: clover Leaf. Like he was.
- 29:57Speaker 2: He was a wrestler and I liked I like the name.
- 30:00Speaker 2: De Malnko was a dope name. He had a he had.
- 30:02Speaker 2: He had a good look.
- 30:03Speaker 1: He had that like no nonsense vibe, and he was
- 30:05Speaker 1: like mad technical, like smooth. I wonder why they never
- 30:09Speaker 1: did anything.
- 30:10Speaker 2: I know now he's like a trainer and like, I
- 30:12Speaker 2: don't know if a W or one of those lower wrestling.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I think he's still with He might be a W,
- 30:19Speaker 1: but I know he was with WW for a long
- 30:21Speaker 1: time as an agent, like a backstage agent.
- 30:23Speaker 2: But I said, you know why because remember w CW
- 30:25Speaker 2: Monay Night nightro on Nintendo sixty four. I always picked
- 30:29Speaker 2: the Malinko bro try to put everybody in that finish.
- 30:31Speaker 1: He was kind of like not skill wise, but it's
- 30:34Speaker 1: funny because when he can. When WCW got brought out
- 30:37Speaker 1: him and Scotty too Hot, he had a lot of matches, bro,
- 30:39Speaker 1: remember that. But they were just smaller guys, so they
- 30:42Speaker 1: were never going to be like the champion, you know
- 30:43Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Like, when you get older, you realize that, like,
- 30:45Speaker 1: oh he was five eight, that's why he was.
- 30:49Speaker 2: That's why it's like me yeah, yeah, And if you're
- 30:51Speaker 2: not Raymond Stereo at.
- 30:53Speaker 1: That height, you know, literally, Bro, he's the only one
- 30:55Speaker 1: that like really broke through in a big way because
- 30:57Speaker 1: of like the uniqueness of his style.
- 30:59Speaker 2: You know, quick before we wrap this up, I wanted
- 31:02Speaker 2: to ask you this because this is I feel a
- 31:06Speaker 2: way about this today, and I have someone to put
- 31:09Speaker 2: in this category. Who do you think was forced to
- 31:13Speaker 2: be big overrated that shouldn't be in a limelight there
- 31:17Speaker 2: and now.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Forced to be big overrated shouldn't have gone like now
- 31:22Speaker 1: or like right now now? Dang man, a hot tape
- 31:28Speaker 1: for me with that? Bro? Is Cody Rhods. No, It's
- 31:32Speaker 1: like he just like sometimes I feel like there's like
- 31:37Speaker 1: no real story. He's just like there just because they
- 31:39Speaker 1: want him to be there, you know what I mean.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Done they but they built his story off dusty roads.
- 31:45Speaker 1: That's the thing. I just feel like there's like ups
- 31:47Speaker 1: and downs to it and with him, they're just been
- 31:49Speaker 1: he wrestles good. I like his wrestling. I'm not like
- 31:53Speaker 1: a huge fan, Like I'm not like, oh I'm looking
- 31:55Speaker 1: for him for his wrestling, you know what I mean?
- 31:57Speaker 1: Like another one for me is like I'm not gonna
- 32:01Speaker 1: lie for a while. Bro has been seth robins Man.
- 32:05Speaker 1: He just he's the same, like he just always be
- 32:08Speaker 1: like at the top, but like sometimes what he's doing
- 32:12Speaker 1: is just don't grab me.
- 32:13Speaker 2: But I think you know what, I saw this on
- 32:15Speaker 2: the WWE special on Netflix that we talked about the
- 32:19Speaker 2: back behind the scenes stuff where they said they used
- 32:22Speaker 2: him to replace CM Punk. Yeah, and I got that
- 32:27Speaker 2: that made sense. But if that never happened, I wouldn't
- 32:31Speaker 2: see it. Yeah, you know you know who I.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Think shouldn't be in the limelight. Ju So, Bro, Bro,
- 32:40Speaker 1: that's I'm not gonna lie. That's like a big online conversation.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Like it's not even just you.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Like outside from the entrance in the Ye, in the presentation,
- 32:49Speaker 2: he sucks as a wrestler. Bro, you're saying right now,
- 32:52Speaker 2: Jay Uso sucks as a wrestler. I love his entrance,
- 32:56Speaker 2: I love the YE, I love the presentation. I love everything,
- 32:59Speaker 2: but he comes from a tag team, you know, a
- 33:02Speaker 2: tag team initializing as a tag team member to being
- 33:06Speaker 2: a solo member, and he hasn't adjusted to that. Well,
- 33:09Speaker 2: he can't keep the fight going. I don't think he
- 33:12Speaker 2: wrestles good man. I think that shit. I think the
- 33:16Speaker 2: entrance in the fan base and all that yeat shit
- 33:19Speaker 2: is what the only thing that's haulding the market.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I definitely agree that. I feel like they're making him
- 33:24Speaker 1: like a caricature right now. Is exactly like he don't
- 33:26Speaker 1: really have like a character. He's just like a gimmick,
- 33:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like and they're just putting
- 33:30Speaker 1: it on full display. I feel like they I feel
- 33:33Speaker 1: like he could be doing better stuff, but they not
- 33:35Speaker 1: using him that way, you know what I mean. I
- 33:38Speaker 1: kind of feel the same, Like that's how I feel
- 33:39Speaker 1: about Cody Rose. Like Cody Rose is dope, but they
- 33:42Speaker 1: use him in such a corny spot that it just
- 33:44Speaker 1: doesn't hit you know what I mean. But yeah, man,
- 33:48Speaker 1: we'll kind of wrap up with that. Man. It was
- 33:52Speaker 1: a dope episode. Man, I enjoyed it. I'm not gonna lie.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I was saucy before we even started the dog. I
- 33:56Speaker 1: was feeling everybody. It's about power, about driving is about power.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Save you, boyter
