Latest / V / Exposed: Feds Pay Weapons Manufacturer To Police What You Think (Ep.38)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to Bungie and a Report Early Edition.
- 0:02Speaker 1: I'm your host, Evita. Lots to get to today. Telegram
- 0:06Speaker 1: ramps up content moderation. The deep state may be spying
- 0:10Speaker 1: on countless conservative media personalities and the Trump campaign. Media
- 0:15Speaker 1: personalities could mean me, could mean Dan. Really disturbing stuff.
- 0:18Speaker 1: The feds use Russian disinformation to de-platform dissident voices. MSNBC
- 0:24Speaker 1: calls for mass surveillance in the criminal prosecution of Elon Musk.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Lockheed Martin is creating a prototype to detect and defeat disinformation.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Tim Walz secured millions of dollars to the infamous Wuhan
- 0:37Speaker 1: Institute of Virology. And a study on the morality of
- 0:41Speaker 1: conservatives versus liberals reveals something very profound about political disagreements.
- 0:47Speaker 1: All this on Bongina Report, early edition. Something truly disturbing
- 1:03Speaker 1: happened within the last few days. Telegram has quietly updated
- 1:07Speaker 1: its FAQ or frequently asked questions page in a major
- 1:12Speaker 1: content moderation shift. Now, as we discussed on the show
- 1:15Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago, the CEO of the messaging
- 1:18Speaker 1: platform Telegram, Pavel Durov, was arrested in France and imprisoned
- 1:23Speaker 1: for four days for allowing free speech on his platform.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Now he's been released and has apparently made serious speech
- 1:32Speaker 1: policing concessions following his confinement. So previously the answer to
- 1:37Speaker 1: the question, there's illegal content on Telegram. How do I
- 1:40Speaker 1: take it down? Started with all Telegram chats and group
- 1:45Speaker 1: chats are private amongst their participants. We do not process
- 1:48Speaker 1: any requests related to them. Now, the updated answer says
- 1:53Speaker 1: all Telegram apps have report buttons that let you flag
- 1:57Speaker 1: illegal content for our moderators in just a few taps.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So users can now tap on any message on the
- 2:03Speaker 1: app and have an option to report it. And after
- 2:05Speaker 1: pressing the report button, users can select a reason such
- 2:08Speaker 1: as spam, violence, child abuse, illegal drugs, personal details, pornography,
- 2:13Speaker 1: or other. Telegram has also added the option to request
- 2:18Speaker 1: an automated takedown of a post by emailing its link
- 2:21Speaker 1: to abuse at telegram.org. Now, it's unclear how these changes
- 2:26Speaker 1: are going to affect Telegram's handling of law enforcement requests.
- 2:30Speaker 1: But if I had to guess, I'd say Telegram will
- 2:32Speaker 1: now be communicating a lot more in that realm. In
- 2:35Speaker 1: an ex-post, Pavel stated that he acknowledges voices. saying the
- 2:40Speaker 1: platform's moderation work has been inadequate and that Telegram's abrupt
- 2:44Speaker 1: increase in user count to 950 million has caused growing
- 2:48Speaker 1: pains that made it easier for criminals to abuse our platform.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Pavel then wrote that he has made it his personal
- 2:55Speaker 1: goal to ensure we significantly improve things in this regard.
- 3:00Speaker 1: My question, you guys, and please drop a comment. Let
- 3:03Speaker 1: me know what you think the answer is to it.
- 3:06Speaker 1: What happened while Pavel was imprisoned in France? We can
- 3:09Speaker 1: only guess what authorities said or did to him to
- 3:14Speaker 1: force him to make these content moderation, drastic seemingly content
- 3:18Speaker 1: moderation updates. Think about how terrifying that is. Telegram is
- 3:23Speaker 1: known for refusing to moderate speech like other platforms, known
- 3:27Speaker 1: for refusing to cooperate with law enforcement from various governments
- 3:32Speaker 1: around the world. He's uncontrolled by the state in any country.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And now suddenly he's arrested. and intimidated by French authorities,
- 3:40Speaker 1: likely at the direction of the USA Department, and now
- 3:43Speaker 1: he's implementing significant content moderation updates? This is terrifying. And
- 3:49Speaker 1: it should be terrifying to anyone in tech, including Elon Musk,
- 3:52Speaker 1: which we will get to in a second. But first,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I have to talk to you guys about the reason
- 3:58Speaker 1: why I keep my circle very small. We are living
- 4:02Speaker 1: in times where not only is digital privacy non-existent, but
- 4:07Speaker 1: if you're a political dissident, you are likely being targeted
- 4:10Speaker 1: by the state. Dan and I have had conversations about
- 4:13Speaker 1: this before, about deep concerns for our future, our well-beings,
- 4:17Speaker 1: our safety, as the country spirals further and further into despotism.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And a wake-up call happened for me last week, and
- 4:26Speaker 1: I've refrained from explicitly covering this story because I wanted
- 4:29Speaker 1: to take time to process it all. As many of
- 4:31Speaker 1: you all know by now, Lauren Chen, who is a
- 4:35Speaker 1: Canadian right-wing commentator and owner of Tenant Media, was accused
- 4:39Speaker 1: by the DOJ of waging a Russian influence campaign here
- 4:42Speaker 1: in the States. Before it was recently shut down, Tenant
- 4:46Speaker 1: Media was funding influencers like Tim Pool, Lauren Southern, Betty Johnson,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and Dave Rubin to produce content on platforms like YouTube.
- 4:55Speaker 1: And per the DOJ, Tenant Media received nearly $ 10 million
- 4:59Speaker 1: from employees of the Russian state-backed media company Russia Today
- 5:03Speaker 1: as part of a, and this is from the DOJ report,
- 5:06Speaker 1: a scheme to create and distribute content to U.S. audiences
- 5:09Speaker 1: with hidden Russian government messaging. And the DOJ has noted
- 5:14Speaker 1: that the content creators collaborating with Senate Media, so everybody
- 5:17Speaker 1: other than Lauren Chen and her husband, so this is
- 5:20Speaker 1: Dave Rubin, Benny Johnson, they were all unaware of the
- 5:24Speaker 1: Russian cash and are victims in this scheme. And I
- 5:28Speaker 1: want to make a couple notes here. First, innocent until
- 5:30Speaker 1: proven guilty. These are allegations. We need the evidence to
- 5:33Speaker 1: speak for itself. I'm not saying that this is for
- 5:35Speaker 1: sure a Russian-influenced campaign. But given the information we have,
- 5:39Speaker 1: there's some really odd things happening here, odd motivations. Dave
- 5:44Speaker 1: Rubin and Tim Pool were being paid around $ 100, 000 a
- 5:48Speaker 1: week by Tenant Media to essentially double post content on
- 5:51Speaker 1: their platforms and Tenant Media's platforms. So meaning it wasn't
- 5:54Speaker 1: original content. Why would Russia... spend millions of dollars on
- 6:00Speaker 1: creators who were already making this content on their own.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And so far, there's zero indication, including from the DOJ report,
- 6:08Speaker 1: that they were being encouraged to promote pro-Russia content. The
- 6:10Speaker 1: creators actually said explicitly that Lauren Chen never gave them
- 6:14Speaker 1: any editorial direction whatsoever. But here's what I'm really concerned about,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you guys. This goes back to why I keep my
- 6:20Speaker 1: circle small, things I've talked about with Dan on a
- 6:23Speaker 1: personal level. It's very likely that the DOJ... received evidence
- 6:28Speaker 1: against the Tenet Media personalities against Lauren Chen via FISA,
- 6:32Speaker 1: the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. And FISA permits surveillance and
- 6:37Speaker 1: collection of foreign intelligence information between foreign powers and their agents,
- 6:41Speaker 1: suspect of espionage or terrorism. And under Section 702 of FISA,
- 6:46Speaker 1: which you can thank Mike Johnson and other House Republicans for,
- 6:49Speaker 1: the surveillance applies to American citizens. So without a warrant,
- 6:53Speaker 1: the feds can surveil American citizens suspected of being foreign agents.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Not only that, under FISA's jurisdiction, those connected by degrees
- 7:01Speaker 1: of separation to those involved can also be surveilled. So
- 7:05Speaker 1: this means that anyone in communication with Lauren Chen and
- 7:09Speaker 1: the other tenant media personalities, which again is a lot
- 7:12Speaker 1: of prominent people in conservative media, could have had their
- 7:15Speaker 1: communications tapped by the GOJ. Could people surrounding the Trump
- 7:20Speaker 1: campaign also have been surveilled? Yep, very possible. Anyone in
- 7:23Speaker 1: conversation with conservative media personalities essentially could have been spied on.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And this is a small world, you guys. This is
- 7:31Speaker 1: not a lot of people in right-wing media. That's why
- 7:33Speaker 1: I called my mom over the weekend and said, look,
- 7:35Speaker 1: we need to make sure that we are keeping our
- 7:37Speaker 1: circle very small because everybody is a target now. Any
- 7:41Speaker 1: degree of connection could find yourself on a Fed spy network.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's truly terrifying. And it's crucial to understand
- 7:50Speaker 1: that this isn't about Russia. If the allegations against Lauren
- 7:53Speaker 1: are true, and we don't know if they're true, but
- 7:55Speaker 1: if they are, that's obviously a terrible, awful thing. She
- 7:58Speaker 1: did something deeply wrong and it's illegal. But you don't
- 8:01Speaker 1: think there are members of the media who are taking
- 8:03Speaker 1: money from Iran, China, Israel? Why are we only hearing
- 8:09Speaker 1: about Lauren Chen and Russia? And again, the business aims
- 8:12Speaker 1: aren't even adding up. Why would Russia pay millions for
- 8:15Speaker 1: content that's already being platformed? And it's also getting pitiful
- 8:20Speaker 1: views on YouTube. Tenet Media was getting hardly any views
- 8:23Speaker 1: for the amount of money that they were paying these
- 8:24Speaker 1: content creators. You have to understand that the permanent state
- 8:28Speaker 1: is a bully. The intelligence apparatus has deep roots in
- 8:33Speaker 1: organized crime. Jeffrey Epstein was very likely an intelligence asset
- 8:37Speaker 1: who was primarily a financial criminal who used his trafficking
- 8:41Speaker 1: ring to sexually blackmail prominent people at the behest of intelligence.
- 8:45Speaker 1: The CIA has and is, in essence, an organized crime
- 8:49Speaker 1: outfit that bullies people into submission. And what I'm trying
- 8:53Speaker 1: to say by all that is rule of law and
- 8:56Speaker 1: justice aren't the motivations behind whatever the DOJ is doing
- 9:00Speaker 1: right now. Because the rule of law doesn't apply to them.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Think about it. Section 702 of FISA in itself is
- 9:06Speaker 1: a brazen violation of the Fourth Amendment. The permanent state
- 9:10Speaker 1: doesn't care about justice, the rule of law, the Constitution.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Speaker Mike Johnson apparently doesn't care about those things either.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Here's something that is deeply troubling about the Tenant Media story.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Before there's even been any kind of conviction, YouTube banned
- 9:27Speaker 1: Tenant Media from their platform. And what's been even crazier
- 9:31Speaker 1: is it's also banning the personal accounts of Tenant Media
- 9:34Speaker 1: personalities who, again, are identified by the DOJ as victims
- 9:38Speaker 1: in this alleged scheme. And there's zero indication, again, that
- 9:41Speaker 1: they're taking any directives from Russia or from Lauren Chen.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Here is commentator Taylor Hansen revealing his permanent ban from YouTube.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So just permanently banned on YouTube. No explanation at all.
- 9:54Speaker 2: It says I can never own a channel or operate
- 9:56Speaker 2: a channel ever again. So that's lovely.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Obviously.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Admits the DOJ indictment of the alleged activities of Russian funding.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Tenant Media was banned almost immediately. Lauren Chen was banned
- 10:09Speaker 2: almost immediately, and now I was banned with no explanation,
- 10:12Speaker 2: even though the indictment states if these charges are true,
- 10:15Speaker 2: these allegations are true, We're all victims, the people that
- 10:19Speaker 2: were hosts there and me as a reporter there. So
- 10:21Speaker 2: it's interesting. It seems like the censorship czar is back
- 10:24Speaker 2: out in full force. It's election season, baby. So yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 2: ban with no explanation. I wonder if they're going to
- 10:29Speaker 2: stop here or are they just going to take it
- 10:31Speaker 2: all the way? They're going to ban anyone that was
- 10:32Speaker 2: ever affiliated with this brand, which is absolutely mind-boggling to me.
- 10:37Speaker 2: But there you go. Permanently banned. You got to love it.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I love America, y'all. Censorship is great.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Keep it up.
- 10:46Speaker 1: So this whole thing is being used as an excuse
- 10:48Speaker 1: to spy on Indeed platform right-wing voices. And again, I'll reiterate,
- 10:53Speaker 1: there's a ton of foreign cash from different countries like Iran, Israel, China,
- 10:58Speaker 1: influencing American media. And these are allegations against Tenet Media.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Not only has Hansen not been charged with anything, he
- 11:05Speaker 1: hasn't even been accused of anything. The dangerous, dangerous precedent
- 11:11Speaker 1: that's being set. You guys want to see where all
- 11:14Speaker 1: this is leading? Listen to MSNBC guest and author Roger McNummy. McNummy,
- 11:20Speaker 1: I think that's his name.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Doesn't matter. He's a tool. He is talking on MSNBC
- 11:28Speaker 1: about the DOJ investigating pretty much half the country. Take
- 11:33Speaker 1: a listen.
- 11:34Speaker 3: The New York Times bestseller zucked, waking up to the
- 11:37Speaker 3: Facebook catastrophe. And he's somebody who's commented a lot on
- 11:40Speaker 3: the manipulation of social media and media for political aims, particularly.
- 11:44Speaker 1: For foreign governments.
- 11:46Speaker 3: So, Roger, this is probably not particularly surprising to you.
- 11:49Speaker 3: It's a bit brazen. It's an actual company funded by
- 11:52Speaker 3: Russia based out of the United States who pays these
- 11:55Speaker 3: these provocateurs to post things that Vladimir Putin would like
- 11:59Speaker 3: very much.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Ali, you and I have been talking about this exact
- 12:03Speaker 4: issue for more than seven years. And the sad part
- 12:06Speaker 4: of this is that it's been going on longer than that.
- 12:09Speaker 4: And it goes on in plain sight. You know, the
- 12:12Speaker 4: Department of Justice and the FBI have a lot of
- 12:14Speaker 4: work to do. They need to be investigating members of
- 12:17Speaker 4: Congress and the Senate. They need to be investigating Internet platforms.
- 12:21Speaker 4: They need to be investigating, obviously, these influencers. But they
- 12:24Speaker 4: also need to be paying a visit to some of
- 12:27Speaker 4: the members of mainstream media who have also aligned. with Russia.
- 12:33Speaker 4: And I think the way to think about this, the
- 12:35Speaker 4: way our viewers should think about this, is it's really
- 12:37Speaker 4: a battle between authoritarianism on the one hand and democracy
- 12:41Speaker 4: on the other. And Russia may have triggered the initial
- 12:46Speaker 4: enthusiasm for authoritarianism, and they did it by appealing to
- 12:49Speaker 4: fundamentalist Christians in the United States. But over time, that
- 12:55Speaker 4: has brought to it billionaires from Silicon Valley. It's brought
- 12:59Speaker 4: to it media moguls. It's brought all kinds of people
- 13:03Speaker 4: who have broken down the traditional role that these institutions
- 13:08Speaker 4: would play in our democracy.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So he's calling for the DOJ to investigate members of
- 13:14Speaker 1: the House and Senate, internet platforms, conservative influencers, and members
- 13:19Speaker 1: of the media. Guys, real or not, this tenant media
- 13:22Speaker 1: scandal is being used as an excuse to squash political dissent.
- 13:27Speaker 1: terrifying rhetoric calling for further weaponization of the state. Authoritarianism
- 13:33Speaker 1: on one hand and democracy on the other. No, you guys,
- 13:36Speaker 1: they are the authoritarians. They're accusing their opponents of what
- 13:39Speaker 1: they are doing. Guys, I can't believe I'm saying this,
- 13:42Speaker 1: but the interview actually gets worse. Take a listen.
- 13:44Speaker 4: So the critical element in thinking about Elon Musk is
- 13:47Speaker 4: like any American, he has a right to his own
- 13:50Speaker 4: opinion and he has a right to express his opinion. However,
- 13:54Speaker 4: that right is not unlimited and he is under some
- 13:57Speaker 4: special limitations that wouldn't apply to normal people because his companies,
- 14:02Speaker 4: specifically Starlink and SpaceX, are government contractors. And as such,
- 14:08Speaker 4: he has obligations to the government that would, for any
- 14:12Speaker 4: normal person and should for him, require him to moderate
- 14:15Speaker 4: his speech in the interest of national security. So what
- 14:18Speaker 4: you have is somebody who runs really strategic defense and
- 14:23Speaker 4: aerospace projects for the federal government who's actively undermining the government,
- 14:28Speaker 4: which is paying him. And somewhere in there is a
- 14:32Speaker 4: legal case that needs to be prosecuted.
- 14:36Speaker 1: He's a government contractor? So Elon Musk isn't allowed to
- 14:40Speaker 1: criticize the government and should be criminally prosecuted? Guys, the
- 14:44Speaker 1: First Amendment, the First Amendment right to criticize the government
- 14:49Speaker 1: applies to everyone, including government contractors. He wants Elon prosecuted
- 14:54Speaker 1: because he wants to control information in the digital public square,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and he hates what Elon has done with X. That's
- 15:00Speaker 1: what all this is about. Think about what happened to Telegram.
- 15:03Speaker 1: The entire permanent state has been mobilized against free expression
- 15:07Speaker 1: and is cracking down on free speech globally, and by extension,
- 15:11Speaker 1: Elon Musk's ex. As many of you know, Brazil has
- 15:16Speaker 1: banned ex for allowing free speech, and this is largely
- 15:20Speaker 1: thanks to American foreign policy. Per Deep State Whistleblower Mike Benz,
- 15:25Speaker 1: one month into Brazilian President Lula's term, President Biden and
- 15:28Speaker 1: President Lula met in Washington, and Biden specifically pledged the U.S.
- 15:34Speaker 1: government would work together with Brazil's government to stamp out disinformation.
- 15:41Speaker 1: This is why After X was banned, we've heard virtually
- 15:46Speaker 1: nothing from the State Department. I think one piddly little
- 15:48Speaker 1: statement about it. This is the ambassador of Brazil who
- 15:52Speaker 1: has time to go to a sporting event, but has
- 15:55Speaker 1: been radio silent on the banning of X in Brazil.
- 16:00Speaker 1: We should be threatening to take away the foreign aid
- 16:02Speaker 1: that we give them, potentially putting sanctions on them. The
- 16:06Speaker 1: government should be intimately involved because of course we care
- 16:09Speaker 1: about exporting free expression in the world, right guys? We
- 16:12Speaker 1: just want to spread freedom everywhere. And we want to
- 16:15Speaker 1: promote American business abroad. Nope, actually we don't. We export despotism.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Essential to understand that we do not export freedom, at
- 16:23Speaker 1: least not anymore. Speaking of despotism, Lockheed Martin, the infamous
- 16:27Speaker 1: weapons manufacturer, is reportedly close to completing a prototype that
- 16:31Speaker 1: will analyze media to detect and defeat disinformation. The Semantic Forensics,
- 16:38Speaker 1: or Semaphore, program will be used by DARPA to identify
- 16:41Speaker 1: so-called disinformation in the news, on the internet, and even
- 16:44Speaker 1: entertainment media. The Biden White House never really got rid
- 16:49Speaker 1: of the Disinformation Governance Board. The permanent state still plans
- 16:53Speaker 1: to be the official arbiter of truth. And of course,
- 16:55Speaker 1: the problem is that they don't have a monopoly on
- 16:58Speaker 1: the truth. The state is really aimed at surveillance and control.
- 17:02Speaker 1: The feds want to monitor and control information flow in
- 17:06Speaker 1: violation of privacy in the First Amendment. And we already
- 17:09Speaker 1: know it won't be used against false information. It'll be
- 17:13Speaker 1: used to censor inconvenient information. Because think about just an example.
- 17:18Speaker 1: The greatest purveyors of disinformation during COVID was the U.S. government.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Masks work, lockdowns work, the vaccines work. It was all lies.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You guys ever heard of the word malinformation? Malinformation, as
- 17:33Speaker 1: defined by the DHS, is information that, although true, is
- 17:38Speaker 1: disseminated with the intent to mislead, incite violence, or cause
- 17:42Speaker 1: other forms of harm. In other words, it's just information
- 17:46Speaker 1: that the government doesn't like. Guys, I cannot stress enough,
- 17:50Speaker 1: we are descending into an Orwellian nightmare. Now, according to
- 17:54Speaker 1: the DOJ report on Tenet Media, Russian influence campaigns are
- 17:58Speaker 1: directing their surrogates to spread content about record inflation, risk
- 18:03Speaker 1: of job loss for white Americans, privileges for people of color, uh...
- 18:08Speaker 1: crimes or threat of crime from people of color and immigrants,
- 18:11Speaker 1: including new immigrants from Ukraine and overspending on foreign policy
- 18:15Speaker 1: at the expense of interests of white US citizens. So
- 18:18Speaker 1: talking about inflation and massive legal immigration could put you
- 18:22Speaker 1: on the Fed's radar as potential Russian purveyors of disinformation.
- 18:26Speaker 1: As investigative journalist Whitney Webb writes, complaining about the Biden
- 18:30Speaker 1: administration's economic policy designed by a cadre of former BlackRock
- 18:33Speaker 1: executives could soon make you a cyber criminal. So the
- 18:37Speaker 1: feds probably wouldn't want me sharing this info with you guys.
- 18:41Speaker 1: In just August, 635,000 immigrants, legal and illegal, gained a job. Meanwhile, 1.3
- 18:51Speaker 1: million native-born Americans lost their job. Since pre-COVID, native-born workers
- 18:57Speaker 1: have lost 2 million jobs and all the net gains
- 19:01Speaker 1: are from immigrants, legal or illegal. Our people are suffering.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I want you guys to watch this video of the
- 19:10Speaker 1: famous Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Just take a
- 19:12Speaker 1: look at what it looks like these days. Guys, we
- 19:21Speaker 1: are a first world country. If you're listening, you're seeing
- 19:25Speaker 1: drug addicts strung out on the street, bent over. They
- 19:29Speaker 1: look like zombies. Half dead, partially unclothed. It's horrifying. This
- 19:38Speaker 1: is America, apparently. We're good with that, Mikey. Our people
- 19:43Speaker 1: are on the streets and suffering thanks to drugs that
- 19:47Speaker 1: have poured over our southern border after being manipulated. in
- 19:50Speaker 1: communist china and our leaders do not give a damn
- 19:54Speaker 1: speaking of china probably should have moved this up closer
- 19:57Speaker 1: in the show because it's so crazy you guys won't
- 19:59Speaker 1: believe this tim waltz secured millions of dollars for the
- 20:02Speaker 1: infamous wuhan institute of virology that likely sparked the covid
- 20:05Speaker 1: pandemic waltz worked to earmark a total of $ 7 million
- 20:10Speaker 1: for the Hormel Institute in Austin, Minnesota. But the Hormel
- 20:14Speaker 1: Institute on multiple occasions worked with the Wuhan Institute of
- 20:18Speaker 1: Virology and has also done considerable work with Beijing Geonomics Institute,
- 20:26Speaker 1: which the U.S. Defense Department has designated a Chinese military company,
- 20:30Speaker 1: meaning that it is directly or indirectly owned, controlled, or
- 20:33Speaker 1: beneficially owned by the Chinese military. or otherwise a military
- 20:37Speaker 1: civil fusion contributor to the Chinese defense industrial base. Again,
- 20:40Speaker 1: why is Tim Wallace funding any of this with Minnesotan
- 20:44Speaker 1: taxpayer funds? Speaking of foreign influence, where are the feds
- 20:48Speaker 1: on Tim Wallace's sketchy ties to the CCP? House Republicans
- 20:52Speaker 1: are investigating it, supposedly. Where's the DOJ? Or does the
- 20:56Speaker 1: DOJ only investigate foreign influence schemes when it gives them
- 21:00Speaker 1: an opportunity to spy on political dissidents? Because it sure
- 21:02Speaker 1: seems like it. Because these are scary, scary times that
- 21:05Speaker 1: we're living in. In the wake of the tragic shooting
- 21:08Speaker 1: at Appalachee High School in Georgia, Gwen Walsh, Tim Walsh's wife,
- 21:12Speaker 1: who also has had bizarre sympathies and ties to the
- 21:15Speaker 1: ruthless Chinese communist regime, tweeted this. As a mom and educator,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I refuse to let people like J.D. Vance normalize gun
- 21:22Speaker 1: violence in our schools, which, by the way, J.D. Vance
- 21:24Speaker 1: did not do. Kamala Harris is right. It doesn't have
- 21:27Speaker 1: to be this way. For the safety of our kids,
- 21:29Speaker 1: we must act to prevent gun violence. Xi Van Fleet,
- 21:34Speaker 1: who grew up during the Chinese Cultural Revolution and who
- 21:36Speaker 1: we've covered on the show before, had an excellent response
- 21:40Speaker 1: to Gwen. She wrote, Hey Gwen, you and your husband
- 21:43Speaker 1: picked June 4th, the day of the Tiananmen Square massacre,
- 21:46Speaker 1: as your wedding day and went to Tiananmen Square for
- 21:49Speaker 1: your wedding anniversary. Don't pretend that you don't know what
- 21:51Speaker 1: a tyrannical government can do to a disarmed population. You
- 21:55Speaker 1: want to eradicate our constitutional right to bear arms. You
- 21:57Speaker 1: are a communist and a threat to our republic. Fact check, guys, true.
- 22:02Speaker 1: The same people who are paying Lockheed Martin to identify
- 22:05Speaker 1: information disfavorable to the state are directing censorship globally and
- 22:08Speaker 1: exploiting influence campaigns to surveil political dissidents. And they also
- 22:12Speaker 1: want to take away your ability to defend yourself. Last story,
- 22:17Speaker 1: you guys. Researchers at the University of Calgary in Canada
- 22:22Speaker 1: studied how political ideology can influence the expansiveness of one's
- 22:27Speaker 1: moral circle. I want to shout out to Jack Posobiec
- 22:29Speaker 1: who initially shared this study. It's truly fascinating. What is
- 22:33Speaker 1: the moral circle? A moral circle refers to the range
- 22:37Speaker 1: of individuals or groups to whom a person extends moral consideration.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So how broad you're willing to extend your care. And
- 22:46Speaker 1: you guys, the differences were truly, truly fascinating. I want
- 22:49Speaker 1: you to look at this heat map from the study,
- 22:52Speaker 1: which shows the highest and lowest moral allocation by ideology.
- 22:58Speaker 1: So the moral circle rings from inner to outer. So
- 23:01Speaker 1: at the closest to the center of the ring is
- 23:03Speaker 1: where I'm gonna start with, and then I'll expand out.
- 23:06Speaker 1: So at the center, it's all your immediate family, all
- 23:09Speaker 1: your extended family is the second one, then all your
- 23:11Speaker 1: closest friends, all your friends, including distant ones, all your acquaintances,
- 23:16Speaker 1: all people you have ever met, all people in your country,
- 23:19Speaker 1: all people in your continent, all people on all continents,
- 23:23Speaker 1: all mammals, all amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fish, and birds, all
- 23:26Speaker 1: animals on earth, including single cell organisms. That's the last
- 23:30Speaker 1: one out there. Okay. Really fascinating. Oh, I'm sorry. No,
- 23:36Speaker 1: it keeps going. I apologize. All animals in the universe,
- 23:39Speaker 1: including alien life forms. After that, all living things in
- 23:42Speaker 1: the universe, including plants and trees, all natural things in
- 23:45Speaker 1: the universe, including inert entities, such as rocks. And then lastly,
- 23:48Speaker 1: all things in existence. And what this study discovered is
- 23:52Speaker 1: that liberals care extends way out to the random marginalized
- 23:55Speaker 1: groups on the other side of the world, including even
- 23:58Speaker 1: alien life, right? And they actually care more about the
- 24:02Speaker 1: planet as a whole than their immediate family. Meanwhile, conservatives
- 24:07Speaker 1: prioritize those closest to them. So their family, then their community,
- 24:12Speaker 1: then their country. This is why.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Liberals seem to care a lot more about the illegal
- 24:21Speaker 1: immigrants crossing the border than their fellow Americans who are
- 24:24Speaker 1: dying of drug overdoses due to the open border. Yeah,
- 24:30Speaker 1: Michael says apparently liberals care more about rocks and their family,
- 24:32Speaker 1: which yes, apparently that's true. All living things as a whole,
- 24:35Speaker 1: they care more about than their immediate family. And it's
- 24:37Speaker 1: also why I think we saw kids whose parents protested
- 24:40Speaker 1: on January 6th turn in their mom or their dad.
- 24:43Speaker 1: And it's also why you saw leftists cheer this kind
- 24:46Speaker 1: of communist style disloyalty from the kids who turned in
- 24:50Speaker 1: their parents. I think it's also why when you try
- 24:53Speaker 1: to reach a liberal friend about the surveillance state or
- 24:58Speaker 1: any of the things that we've been talking about today,
- 24:59Speaker 1: there's just a disconnect. Because liberals are wrapped up in
- 25:03Speaker 1: this idea of creating a utopia on earth. So they're
- 25:06Speaker 1: highly susceptible to the state's promises to fight disinformation and
- 25:10Speaker 1: hate speech. Somebody said sanity versus insanity. Yes, that is true.
- 25:16Speaker 1: That is what this is, really. And I want to
- 25:19Speaker 1: be clear, I don't think that the study's results are
- 25:22Speaker 1: suggesting that conservatives, or specifically Christians, don't give a crap
- 25:26Speaker 1: about things that are happening on the other side of
- 25:27Speaker 1: the world, or don't care about plants or trees or
- 25:30Speaker 1: other mammals. I think it suggests something else. I want
- 25:34Speaker 1: you to take a listen to Tucker Carlson describing the
- 25:37Speaker 1: calling of all Christians.
- 25:39Speaker 5: There's kind of no more inoffensive and peaceful group in
- 25:43Speaker 5: the world than the Christians. In fact, there isn't. Their
- 25:46Speaker 5: religion commands them to turn the other cheek and to
- 25:49Speaker 5: put the concerns of others above their own concerns. So
- 25:52Speaker 5: if you have a problem with those precepts, explain it
- 25:54Speaker 5: to me. Speak slowly so I can understand. I think
- 25:57Speaker 5: every person in this room, regardless of your faith, can agree, yeah,
- 26:01Speaker 5: I'm for that. I wish I was more like that.
- 26:03Speaker 1: That's good.
- 26:03Speaker 5: We need more of those people in society. Serve others
- 26:06Speaker 5: for the sake of service. people who pray for their enemies.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Who does that? Who would pray for an enemy? No
- 26:12Speaker 5: one except the Christians, and they do. They're commanded to.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Guys, Christians are called to love our neighbors, turn the
- 26:23Speaker 1: other cheek, love our enemies. These are immediate things that
- 26:27Speaker 1: we are called to do in our everyday lives. So
- 26:32Speaker 1: our priorities are supposed to be those around us, those
- 26:37Speaker 1: who we can have a real impact on. It doesn't
- 26:39Speaker 1: mean we don't care about other people we don't know.
- 26:42Speaker 1: It means we spend our energy where we can make
- 26:44Speaker 1: a difference, as opposed to pontificating about things that we
- 26:48Speaker 1: have no control over. It's a lifestyle. It's a dramatic
- 26:52Speaker 1: shift in mindset. I also think truth is at the
- 26:57Speaker 1: center of these ideological conflicts. If we can create a
- 27:02Speaker 1: utopia on Earth, a government, or maybe even AI, can
- 27:07Speaker 1: become the arbiter of truth, can become literally God. And
- 27:11Speaker 1: this is why I think at the center of all this,
- 27:14Speaker 1: this information of warfare, the despotism, moral relativism, backward priorities,
- 27:19Speaker 1: it is a battle for truth. But authentic truth is
- 27:24Speaker 1: always the creator. And without him, we are descended for
- 27:29Speaker 1: spiritual and physical slavery. I think that's the end point
- 27:34Speaker 1: of all this. All right, that's all I have for
- 27:37Speaker 1: you all today. Shout out to my husband, Michael, for
- 27:39Speaker 1: putting this entire show together and running all the tech.
- 27:42Speaker 1: He is the best. Cannot do anything, any of this
- 27:44Speaker 1: without him. Also a major shout out to Audio Implements
- 27:47Speaker 1: in Waukesha, Wisconsin, who made me a custom earpiece, which
- 27:51Speaker 1: I really appreciate. So now I no longer have to
- 27:53Speaker 1: wear headphones. Really excited about this. I don't know, you
- 27:56Speaker 1: guys maybe could tell, sometimes I have problems with my earpiece.
- 27:58Speaker 1: They always fall out of my ear, so I had
- 28:00Speaker 1: to have these bulky headphones on. But now I have
- 28:02Speaker 1: a custom earpiece, so I don't have to wear the
- 28:05Speaker 1: headphones anymore, which I'm very excited about. All right, thank
- 28:08Speaker 1: you all for listening. If you are on Apple, oh yes,
- 28:11Speaker 1: here is the logo for Audio Implement, so shout out
- 28:14Speaker 1: to them. But if you are listening on Apple or Spotify,

- 28:36Speaker 1: guy who is the definition of grit.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Injuries have ended plenty of careers, but instead you decided
- 28:41Speaker 5: yours would only be a chapter instead of the ending.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Welcome to the show, Daryl. Thank you so much.
