SPEAKER_00: Restaurants are now launching GLP1 menus for those who are on GLP1s, of course.
• 0:06
  SPEAKER_00: Now what?
• 0:07
SPEAKER_01: All joking aside, is it just smaller portions?
• 0:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's dishes under 500 calories with 20 to 25 grams of protein.
• 0:14
SPEAKER_00: Meals are usually 25 to 30% cheaper than a regular meal.
• 0:19
  SPEAKER_00: Oh.
• 0:20
SPEAKER_00: And many of them contain fish, beef, chicken, or pork.
• 0:23
SPEAKER_01: And and much of it really primarily because folks just can't eat as much.
• 0:28
SPEAKER_01: Their appetite's not quite there.
• 0:29
  SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
• 0:30
  SPEAKER_01: That makes sense.
• 0:31
SPEAKER_00: This has been this has happened before, where you see sometimes there'll be a portion of a menu that'll say like lighter fare, something on the lighter side.
• 0:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 0:39
SPEAKER_00: Uh even during the Atkins days, I remember they had like shifted some some meals to the meat on meat on meat platter.
• 0:45
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 0:46
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_01: Can we get you some more meat?
• 0:48
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 0:49
SPEAKER_00: When you know that something has gotten so big, like the Atkins diet and a GLP one that the whole entire menu has had to add another section.
• 0:57
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 0:58
  SPEAKER_00: That's the shift it's out.
• 0:59
  SPEAKER_01: That's not a bad thing.
• 1:00
  SPEAKER_01: I know my dad.
• 1:01
  SPEAKER_01: My dad's great.
• 1:02
SPEAKER_00: My dad's on one, and he is oh my gosh.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_00: He's almost to my weight.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, whoa! I need to keep it in check.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_01: So basically, what you're telling me is, and I'm assuming your parents like Applebees, they like going for the burgers.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_00: Oh, my dad loves the bees.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_01: So essentially the menu is you get one slider.
• 1:22
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_00: That's kind of what it is.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_00: He he loves being on a GLP one, so my mom's on one too, but my dad has lost a significant amount amount of weight on the bottom.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_01: Well, I think it is normally easier for the men to lose the weight.
• 1:32
  SPEAKER_00: I think so too.
• 1:33
SPEAKER_01: That's one of the curses of life.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_00: He he said pretty much what everyone else has said, which is I just don't have a desire to eat that much.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_00: And he says it's the greatest thing ever.
• 1:44
  SPEAKER_00: He loves it.
• 1:46
SPEAKER_01: Do you think he okay?
• 1:47
  SPEAKER_01: Question.
• 1:47
SPEAKER_01: Is he going to remain on this?
• 1:49
SPEAKER_01: Uh because you know how they say after people leave GLP ones, they can do a weight gain.
• 1:55
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I've heard that.
• 1:56
SPEAKER_01: Now, some people are on it for the original reason that it was designed, which is, you know, for diabetes or you know, do you think is he gonna stay on or is he going to wean down?
• 2:07
SPEAKER_01: Is he gonna come off?
• 2:08
  SPEAKER_01: I'm just curious.
• 2:09
  SPEAKER_00: I think he'll probably stay on.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_00: My dad's one of those guys that he loves eating like sugary cereals, he loves king dongs, he loves eating pizza hut pizza.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_00: I think he just he's one of those people that loves food.
• 2:23
SPEAKER_00: Um, very tall, so he can hide it pretty well.
• 2:25
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right, right.
• 2:26
  SPEAKER_00: But now he's 6'4 and 220 pounds.
• 2:30
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
• 2:31
  SPEAKER_00: He's so thin.
• 2:33
  SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_00: Does he guys cold easily?
• 2:36
  unknown: Oh, I don't know.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_00: No, I'm serious.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_00: That's a good question, but I don't know.
• 2:40
  SPEAKER_00: I haven't been around.
• 2:40
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna have to ask him this because there's a reason I asked this.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_01: So obviously, we're in the midst of a mega heat done.
• 2:48
  SPEAKER_01: That's right.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_01: And I'm just curious to see, since he's lost all the weight, has he started to notice a case of the shivers more often?
• 2:57
  SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
• 2:57
SPEAKER_01: And as you get older, this happens too.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_01: Well, also when you are super light.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_01: So, as you know, Gavin is a very thin young man.
• 3:04
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 3:05
SPEAKER_01: And he loves, even in heat, to be in a hoodie.
• 3:10
SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Oh my gosh.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_01: Well, how do you do that?
• 3:13
SPEAKER_01: Now, admittedly, given every goth kid.
• 3:15
  SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, right.
• 3:16
SPEAKER_01: Now, admittedly, uh, you know, when it's a day like today, if he's out doing stuff running around or at a camp or whatever, it's it's obviously he's not wearing a hoodie.
• 3:25
  SPEAKER_01: But inside he does.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_01: I've seen him more often than not, uh, you know, throwing one on.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_01: Now, in his case, it's not GLP one.
• 3:32
SPEAKER_01: He just naturally weighs like 60 pounds.
• 3:34
SPEAKER_00: Well, didn't you when you were younger too?
• 3:36
SPEAKER_01: Uh well yeah, I was very, very lean.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_01: Um Yeah, I wish those days had come back.
• 3:40
SPEAKER_01: But uh anyway, I know but you have to ask your dad that because it takes me to this I don't know, the 98 hot dogs that we've ate in the past two weeks.
• 3:47
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 3:47
SPEAKER_00: How many hot dogs have you have you put in your down your gullet?
• 3:50
SPEAKER_01: Before I tell you, before I play for you, this mom that and her conversation uh on TikTok with her kid about wearing a hoodie and the mega heatum.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_01: I have to tell you this.
• 4:01
  SPEAKER_01: I've given up.
• 4:02
  SPEAKER_01: On?
• 4:03
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I knew my tolerance of hot dogs was reaching its max because once I start, it's terrible.
• 4:10
  SPEAKER_01: I can't stop.
• 4:11
  SPEAKER_01: Because it's so good.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_01: Alcoholics will tell you one is too many and one is never enough.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_01: That's my motto with a hot dog, okay?
• 4:18
SPEAKER_01: One is too many and 28 is not enough.
• 4:21
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 4:22
SPEAKER_01: So today I have now converted after the trip to Costco and picking up the deviled egg potato salad that I bought yesterday.

• 4:33
SPEAKER_01: Along with going to Topps yesterday, taking advantage of that sale, picking up coleslaw, picking up noodle salad, also a grain salad of some kind with celery and all this.

SPEAKER_00: You guys are going to Tiffany's mom's house, right?
• 4:45
SPEAKER_01: None of this is going.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_01: This has all been in the house.
• 4:48
SPEAKER_00: I love how you buy food for a huge yes, but you're not gonna be able to eat all that.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_00: Those salads are gonna go bad.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_01: Well, first of all, try me.
• 4:55
SPEAKER_01: Number two, because I challenge accepted.
• 4:58
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right?
• 4:59
  SPEAKER_01: Because I've now converted.
• 5:01
SPEAKER_01: For lunch today, I brought nothing that has the from the meat family.
• 5:04
SPEAKER_01: But let me tell you, I have noodle salad.
• 5:06
  SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
• 5:07
SPEAKER_01: I have potato salad, deviled egg potato salad.
• 5:09
  SPEAKER_01: Can I try that?
• 5:09
SPEAKER_01: You're damn right you can.
• 5:10
  SPEAKER_01: Okay, good.
• 5:11
  SPEAKER_01: It's at Costco.
• 5:12
SPEAKER_01: And I bought the brought this uh this grain celery salad thing, which kind of looks sort of hippie.
• 5:18
SPEAKER_00: Gotta put something healthy in your mouth.
• 5:20
  SPEAKER_00: I'm a salad whore.
• 5:21
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
• 5:22
  SPEAKER_00: I am a summer salad whore.

• 5:25
SPEAKER_00: Uh okay, I just tried a mac salad yesterday.

SPEAKER_00: Zach went to Salem six hours at the Glen last weekend, and uh his friend does the camping, brings the smoker.
• 5:34
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's it's it's it's a huge food fest.
• 5:38
SPEAKER_00: So he brought back the mac salad.
• 5:40
  SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
• 5:41
SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you some of the things that are in there.
• 5:43
  SPEAKER_00: Peas, okay.
• 5:44
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 5:45
SPEAKER_00: Carrots, all right, celery, onions, tuna.
• 5:49
SPEAKER_01: Oh! I got a story! Hold on, we're coming back to the book.
• 5:53
SPEAKER_01: That was really weird to me.

SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna tell you where it stems from in just a couple seconds.
• 5:57
SPEAKER_01: Hold on for that, and then I'll play you this conversation between you know, mom and and her kid uh on TikTok about wearing a hoodie in the summer?
