- 1:29Speaker 1: Edition tomorrow.
- 1:30Speaker 4: This just in, Stan. This just in.
- 1:39Speaker 1: The Texas Rangers. have announced the following transactions prior to
- 1:46Speaker 1: tonight's game with the Mets. Right-handed pitcher Gavin Collier has
- 1:51Speaker 1: been recalled from AAA Round Rock, and right-handed pitcher Winston
- 1:56Speaker 1: Santos has been optioned to rookie-level ACL Rangers. I was
- 2:03Speaker 1: just telling Scott Glendon before we came back, I have
- 2:08Speaker 1: been waiting for this move from the front office tonight.
- 2:12Speaker 4: For weeks now.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 2:14Speaker 4: This is going to tip the whole race.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Somebody who was on the major league roster has been
- 2:20Speaker 3: optioned to rookie.
- 2:23Speaker 7: Ball?
- 2:25Speaker 4: Do you see now what we're working with?
- 2:27Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Do you see what we're working with here?
- 2:31Speaker 3: I retract everything I just said.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Good gosh. This is what we're working with right now.
- 2:38Speaker 1: In the last five games.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Of the season.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Michael Hellman's been brought back, right? Oh, baby.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Been waiting for that.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I like Michael Hellman.
- 2:45Speaker 4: He's pretty good. Okay, here we go.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Let's talk some football. Let's talk LSU, Texas A & M.
- 2:59Speaker 1: What's got to happen Saturday night for this eight and
- 3:04Speaker 1: a half to be erased?
- 3:08Speaker 3: They can move the game to 230.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not as worried about that. They proved last
- 3:13Speaker 1: year that wasn't a big deal.
- 3:15Speaker 3: They did, didn't they?
- 3:16Speaker 4: Yes, they did.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Were they the favorite last year?
- 3:19Speaker 4: They were not.
- 3:20Speaker 8: Hmm.
- 3:22Speaker 3: LSU have talent last year?
- 3:25Speaker 4: They had some, not as much as they have this year.
- 3:27Speaker 3: But is LSU a talent-poor program?
- 3:30Speaker 4: No, no, never.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I mean, did they have a coach that was an
- 3:33Speaker 3: idiot and didn't know how to make the tight end
- 3:36Speaker 3: into a star player?
- 3:37Speaker 9: Apparently.
- 3:39Speaker 3: He's not playing, though, right?
- 3:40Speaker 4: He's not.
- 3:43Speaker 3: It would be good if I'm, because I'm still looking
- 3:46Speaker 3: at the student-athlete availability report, that I see that A
- 3:50Speaker 3: & M gets both running backs and a wide receiver back.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I'm not saying that.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Ashton Bethel-Roman.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Ashton Bethel-Roman, Morrow, and K.J. Edwards. I'm not saying that
- 4:02Speaker 3: those three guys and losing Bussey... Those four players, A
- 4:11Speaker 3: & M was not in a position to absorb their loss,
- 4:15Speaker 3: even though they knew two of them weren't going to play. K.J.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Edwards is a difference maker. You see K.J. Edwards be
- 4:21Speaker 3: a difference maker. Now, if he's not going to.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Be 100%— He has to have touches.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Yes, and that was the game plan, was to get
- 4:33Speaker 3: him touches.
- 4:33Speaker 10: Yes.
- 4:34Speaker 3: If he's not going to be 100%, I don't know
- 4:36Speaker 3: if that helps A & M beat LSU this weekend.
- 4:40Speaker 3: But those guys being healthy and being able to play
- 4:43Speaker 3: gives A & M an opportunity to have more offense
- 4:46Speaker 3: than they had last week. That being said, they have
- 4:53Speaker 3: to do the same kind of job that Ole Miss
- 4:57Speaker 3: did defensively. You and I talked about it last week
- 5:01Speaker 3: that we didn't know how good Ole Miss was defensively.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Correct.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I don't think any of those answers were set in
- 5:09Speaker 3: stone on how good Ole Miss is defensively during that game.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it was uneven.
- 5:17Speaker 8: Yes.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Two halves.
- 5:19Speaker 7: Very.
- 5:23Speaker 4: And LSU obviously gave up 17.
- 5:26Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But even with that, they were facing the presumptive now
- 5:37Speaker 1: Heisman quarterback. They've still only given up 33 yards rushing
- 5:42Speaker 1: per day.
- 5:43Speaker 3: And that is the question. Is this an actual defense
- 5:48Speaker 3: that LSU's have that can stop a running quarterback? We
- 5:53Speaker 3: do not know that. Clemson didn't do it. LaTex certainly
- 5:57Speaker 3: didn't do it. Ole Miss didn't have to do it,
- 6:00Speaker 3: but when he wanted to go, he gashed them.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And like I said, they're missing a key component with
- 6:08Speaker 1: their star guy, Deshaun Spears.
- 6:11Speaker 8: Yes.
- 6:12Speaker 3: So how the Aggie offense shows up currently, as I
- 6:19Speaker 3: look at it right now, until I see the availability report,
- 6:23Speaker 3: is a mystery. Defensively... Well, let's say this as well.
- 6:29Speaker 4: What's not a mystery is Marcel Reed has to be better. Yes,
- 6:32Speaker 4: he does.
- 6:35Speaker 3: You can't go for it on fourth down and throw
- 6:38Speaker 3: it into the feet of a wide open wide receiver.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you can't do it.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Now, the crazy thing is I was watching the Rams play.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I guess they played on Sunday night football or Monday
- 6:48Speaker 3: night football. And Brett Stafford, pretty good.
- 6:51Speaker 4: I mean, he's pretty good.
- 6:52Speaker 3: He's a pretty good quarterback.
- 6:53Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 3: And I saw him make that same throw to a
- 6:56Speaker 3: wide-open guy that his pass was too shallow and didn't
- 7:01Speaker 3: give his guy a chance to catch the ball. And
- 7:03Speaker 3: I'm like, but it was at least high enough to
- 7:06Speaker 3: be caught. Quarterback is a position where you make a
- 7:10Speaker 3: mistake in that kind of situation, it's glaring.
- 7:14Speaker 1: No doubt. Look, I said this Monday with the writers,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I'm going to stand by it. I understand people are
- 7:22Speaker 1: all over the quarterback.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I get it.
- 7:24Speaker 1: He has to play better. There's no question he has
- 7:27Speaker 1: to play better. But, man, he was not in my
- 7:33Speaker 1: list number one. That was not number one on Saturday.
- 7:37Speaker 1: The biggest number one, and I expect it to be
- 7:40Speaker 1: different this week, was attitude.
- 7:43Speaker 4: They got slapped.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Around on Saturday, and it has been a wild, And
- 7:50Speaker 1: you probably can remember when an Elko team was physically,
- 7:58Speaker 1: mentally just dominated.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Yes, I can remember. It was Notre Dame two years ago.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Here at Kyle Field.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Here at Kyle Field.
- 8:06Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 4: But they still almost won the game.
- 8:09Speaker 3: They still almost won the game.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Because they played a little bit better offensively.
- 8:13Speaker 10: Right.
- 8:14Speaker 3: But if A & M had won that game 35-31...
- 8:20Speaker 3: and the offense has scored two more touchdowns, which is
- 8:23Speaker 3: putting the ball, not turning it over on the first
- 8:26Speaker 3: drive where you had fourth and goal. You make that play.
- 8:30Speaker 3: You're inside the 10-yard line at that point in time.
- 8:33Speaker 3: There's an opportunity there. There's another opportunity later on where
- 8:37Speaker 3: you hit a dropping linebacker right in the middle of
- 8:39Speaker 3: the chest. If they had won that game 35-31, my
- 8:44Speaker 3: questions would still be on the defense. What happened this week? defensively,
- 8:50Speaker 3: all right? But here's the thing, Chip. You and I
- 8:55Speaker 3: both think that Mike Elko can coach defense a little bit.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Okay? The defensive coordinators and defensive coaches that A &
- 9:02Speaker 3: M has had, since Jackie Sherrill, have had games where
- 9:07Speaker 3: they didn't have a defense show up. If they have
- 9:11Speaker 3: a defense with some talent... I have seen time and
- 9:15Speaker 3: time again defensive coaches make adjustments.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'll tell you, a lot of defense, you have to
- 9:20Speaker 1: have players.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I don't care who you are.
- 9:22Speaker 1: In this league, you've got to have players. But defense,
- 9:25Speaker 1: more than anything else, is a lot of emotion too, right?
- 9:28Speaker 4: Yes. I mean, you can make up for some things.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You can't make up for receivers running 15 yards open.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But you can make up for some things when you're
- 9:40Speaker 1: playing with that kind of intensity.
- 9:43Speaker 4: And they didn't do that.
- 9:44Speaker 3: And I think they will have that intensity this weekend.
- 9:46Speaker 1: My point. I mean, this is a circle the wagons game.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I know it's early in the season. I get that.
- 9:52Speaker 3: It's a circle the wagons game for both teams.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I'm not saying it's not. It is.
- 9:58Speaker 4: It's early in the season.
- 9:59Speaker 1: But, hey. nobody wants to be 0-2 in the league, right,
- 10:03Speaker 1: to start the season.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Nobody.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And so, yeah, it is a circle. And I expect
- 10:09Speaker 1: that emotion. I expect them to show up.
- 10:12Speaker 11: Ken?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Mike Elko has said he thinks this is his best secondary.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I tell you the thing that just I think surprised
- 10:22Speaker 1: me Monday was him saying we were loose in practice.
- 10:29Speaker 1: We never were comfortable with what we were supposed to
- 10:33Speaker 1: do all week long. And I think that surprised me
- 10:39Speaker 1: more than anything, right?
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:42Speaker 1: For him to go back and say that, and hey,
- 10:45Speaker 1: I love the honesty. I love that he didn't give
- 10:49Speaker 1: you a lot of coach speak.
- 10:50Speaker 3: He didn't talk about inches?
- 10:51Speaker 4: I really enjoy that.
- 10:53Speaker 3: He didn't talk about no inches?
- 10:54Speaker 4: No, I really enjoy that.
- 10:57Speaker 8: Yes.
- 10:57Speaker 1: But to me, that is an astounding statement to make
- 11:02Speaker 1: after you've been upset at home is, hey, We never
- 11:05Speaker 1: felt comfortable with what we were trying to do all
- 11:09Speaker 1: week long. I expect that to change this week, right?
- 11:16Speaker 1: But you have an X factor. This kid ain't the
- 11:20Speaker 1: greatest quarterback in the world, but he's a notch above
- 11:25Speaker 1: Diego Pavia. But in terms of ability, but he competes
- 11:31Speaker 1: like that, right? That's what this kid does for you.
- 11:35Speaker 1: He competes like that. Now, I don't think in the
- 11:39Speaker 1: SEC he can run wild all season long. I don't
- 11:42Speaker 1: think he will, first of all. But I don't think
- 11:45Speaker 1: he can. I think he'll get beaten up doing that.
- 11:49Speaker 3: And on the flip side of that, You do have
- 11:51Speaker 3: Marcel Reed feeling pretty confident whenever he's lined up against LSU.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Well, I've talked about that, and I've thought about that, too.
- 11:59Speaker 4: You know, he should be.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Because they haven't tackled him yet.
- 12:03Speaker 4: They have not.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And there's something to be said for that, right? There's
- 12:07Speaker 1: something to be said for some confidence.
- 12:08Speaker 3: We do not know if LSU can actually— Tackle the
- 12:14Speaker 3: running quarterback. It's been three years since they could.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I tell you what, they should be able to because
- 12:20Speaker 1: they've got one that does that in practice against them.
- 12:23Speaker 3: They never see him in practice, Chip.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Well, they're not hitting him.
- 12:27Speaker 12: Right.
- 12:27Speaker 4: I mean, I get that part.
- 12:29Speaker 14: Right.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm just saying they have a guy to practice against,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and I'm not saying he runs as well as Marcel.
- 12:35Speaker 4: He doesn't have the speed that Marcel does. But he runs.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So that, you know.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Marcel needs the weapons. He needs those guys.
- 12:46Speaker 4: He does. He does. He just needs to be better
- 12:54Speaker 4: in all phases.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And, you know, they certainly have more than a shot.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It's going to be interesting. I think they're coming up
- 13:05Speaker 1: against a much.
- 13:07Speaker 1: A much better coached team than we've seen the last,
- 13:11Speaker 1: you know, two years for sure.
- 13:15Speaker 4: With some weapons. Again, they've lost a couple.
- 13:18Speaker 3: They've lost a guy that very few teams in the
- 13:22Speaker 3: SEC could cover.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Nobody has this guy.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Nobody.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I mean, this guy, and if you guys– you know–
- 13:31Speaker 1: How many catches did he make last year?
- 13:33Speaker 4: Wasn't many.
- 13:33Speaker 3: No.
- 13:34Speaker 1: You know, he got hurt, and I'm not sure at
- 13:36Speaker 1: what point in the game he got hurt. I mean,
- 13:39Speaker 1: I was watching, but I was flipping, so I don't
- 13:42Speaker 1: remember at what point.
- 13:43Speaker 4: See how many.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Catches Trey Des Green had this last week against Ole Miss.
- 13:50Speaker 4: I mean, this guy's a freak.
- 13:52Speaker 15: Yes.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I mean, a freak.
- 13:54Speaker 3: He's like Pitts was at Florida four years ago.
- 13:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Four receptions for 60 yards.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Four for 60?
- 14:02Speaker 3: Yeah, longest was 23.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Okay. That's a huge loss.
- 14:06Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 14:06Speaker 4: No, it's a huge loss.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I mean, it's a big-time loss because he's, like I said,
- 14:13Speaker 1: nobody's got the sky.
- 14:14Speaker 3: And here's my other question is, Chip, what do you– okay.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I don't know the team that I would say was
- 14:24Speaker 3: the one that improved. Improved.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Are you talking about the LSU Ole Miss game?
- 14:30Speaker 3: No, I'm talking about Kentucky. If Kentucky turns out to
- 14:34Speaker 3: be Florida, this was a devastating loss for A &
- 14:39Speaker 3: M that lingers on during the year. If Kentucky turns
- 14:46Speaker 3: out to be a team that that was the first
- 14:49Speaker 3: chance you got to see that they were a contender, then.
- 14:57Speaker 3: You know, you can get away from that and say
- 15:05Speaker 3: that was a team that we saw the first inclination
- 15:08Speaker 3: of it.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Okay, so here's who's on Kentucky's schedule, okay, coming up.
- 15:14Speaker 1: This week, South Alabama, okay. The following week, they go
- 15:18Speaker 1: to South Carolina. Two very winnable games.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:24Speaker 4: They host LSU.
- 15:27Speaker 1: They go to Oklahoma, which doesn't look nearly as daunting
- 15:31Speaker 1: as it did a couple, three weeks ago.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Did he give a contract extension?
- 15:36Speaker 4: He'll get another one if he can win a game. Okay.
- 15:40Speaker 1: They host Vanderbilt. They go to Tennessee, who we'll find
- 15:48Speaker 1: more about this week. They host Florida. They go to Missouri. And,
- 15:55Speaker 1: of course, they end with Louisville.
- 15:59Speaker 3: That's not a gauntlet like OU has got or something
- 16:03Speaker 3: like that.
- 16:04Speaker 4: But they've already played Alabama, right?
- 16:07Speaker 1: I mean, when you throw in Alabama, then you know
- 16:10Speaker 1: you have to come to College Station, and then you're
- 16:12Speaker 1: hosting LSU, and you're going to Oklahoma, and you're going
- 16:16Speaker 1: to Tennessee, and you're playing Florida. I mean, when that
- 16:21Speaker 1: season started, and I did, you look at that with
- 16:24Speaker 1: a new coach and where the program was, and you're going,
- 16:27Speaker 1: Holy crud.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But now, with Oklahoma being that, and again, don't know
- 16:35Speaker 1: yet about Tennessee, it doesn't look quite as daunting that
- 16:43Speaker 1: it did when the season started.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Right.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And again, we're early in the going. I'm interested in
- 16:50Speaker 1: Missouri this week, right?
- 16:52Speaker 4: Yeah. We don't know all the things.
- 16:56Speaker 3: We don't know what Florida is. We know Florida has
- 16:59Speaker 3: great running back.
- 17:00Speaker 1: We know who the running back is, right? Beyond that,
- 17:06Speaker 1: not sure. We know the running back. But we'll see.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Do you really know anything about Tennessee?
- 17:17Speaker 1: No, we don't. I don't know anything about Tennessee. Again,
- 17:22Speaker 1: I think we'll know a little bit more Saturday. But
- 17:25Speaker 1: I don't know them right now.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I mean, do you expect Texas to play like they
- 17:29Speaker 3: did last week at Tennessee this week?
- 17:31Speaker 11: No.
- 17:33Speaker 4: No. I don't.
- 17:34Speaker 1: But I don't know who Texas is yet either. I
- 17:36Speaker 1: know they beat a pretty good football team that I
- 17:40Speaker 1: think is pretty good, that has lots of athletes, that
- 17:44Speaker 1: were getting dominated for two and a half quarters, right?
- 17:47Speaker 11: Mm-hmm.
- 17:48Speaker 4: So I don't know who Texas is yet.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I mean, Tennessee has played Furman, Georgia Tech, and Kennesaw State.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Oh, I get it. I understand that.
- 18:00Speaker 1: But yet, they're just a four-and-a-half-point underdog at home Saturday.
- 18:06Speaker 4: And it started at seven-and-a-half.
- 18:08Speaker 8: Right.
- 18:10Speaker 4: They like that.
- 18:11Speaker 3: And then they go Auburn and Arkansas after this game.
- 18:13Speaker 4: So not bad, right, if they win this game.
- 18:16Speaker 10: Right.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Not bad.
- 18:17Speaker 3: And then Alabama at home.
- 18:19Speaker 11: Yep.
- 18:20Speaker 3: At South Carolina, Kentucky, A & M, LSU, Vandy.
- 18:27Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 18:29Speaker 3: You know.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Don't know. Don't know yet.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I don't know a lot about a lot of teams yet.
- 18:34Speaker 1: We are not far enough into getting a handle.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Are we going to have USC and Rutgers on CBS
- 18:41Speaker 3: this week? We've got USC and Oregon.
- 18:47Speaker 4: We got that going on Saturday night.
- 18:49Speaker 3: That's better than USC and Rutgers.
- 18:51Speaker 4: It is better than USC and Rutgers.
- 18:53Speaker 3: And Piscataway, New Jersey.
- 18:54Speaker 1: That's correct. I saw zero of that game. I saw
- 18:58Speaker 1: the score. What was the score? I think it was
- 19:01Speaker 1: about six points. It's like 42 to 36 or something
- 19:05Speaker 1: like that. No, I'm not lying.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Rutgers couldn't beat UMass, Chip.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I'm telling you. What was the score?
- 19:10Speaker 3: 42 to 35.
- 19:11Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 4: They scored 35 on USC.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Oregon will score 60-burger on them.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Do you think the quarterback is going to have a
- 19:19Speaker 3: tell with how his feet are set up?
- 19:23Speaker 1: He better not after they came out and said that.
- 19:26Speaker 1: So we'll see. I just know what I've seen with
- 19:31Speaker 1: my eyes so far, right? The teams that look good
- 19:35Speaker 1: to me. Georgia hasn't played anybody. They haven't played anybody.
- 19:39Speaker 1: But I know who Georgia is, okay? Miami hasn't played anybody.
- 19:45Speaker 3: I would think those are the best two teams in
- 19:46Speaker 3: the country.
- 19:47Speaker 4: I know who Miami is, I think. right yes but
- 19:51Speaker 4: they haven't played anybody they have not.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Yeah we'll see the longhorns have played a.
- 19:59Speaker 3: One and a half quarter of good football this.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Year no doubt You know, there's no doubt. And they
- 20:06Speaker 1: have a quarterback who is not accurate, okay? We have
- 20:10Speaker 1: enough data in my mind right now that this is
- 20:14Speaker 1: who he is.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Now, is he clutch? We'll find that out more, too.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But he appears to be a guy that when the
- 20:22Speaker 1: game's on the line, he's going to get it done, right?
- 20:25Speaker 1: In the biggest games, for the most part, he's done that.
- 20:28Speaker 3: This year.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Well, he did it last year, too. I mean, they
- 20:31Speaker 1: got behind last year, and he led them, okay? He
- 20:36Speaker 1: made plays. He made plays. People here know he made plays.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yeah, he made plays here.
- 20:41Speaker 4: I mean, he can make plays. But is he accurate?
- 20:45Speaker 11: No.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I mean, he sprays the ball, and I keep going
- 20:49Speaker 1: back to Coach Leach. I can teach him everything but accuracy.
- 20:53Speaker 1: If a quarterback is not accurate, I can't teach that.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Is there much difference between Manning and, besides, you know, here?
- 21:16Speaker 3: I mean, they look very similar.
- 21:19Speaker 4: You're talking about Marcel.
- 21:20Speaker 3: But I don't want to just say Marcel.
- 21:23Speaker 4: In terms of accuracy.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I'm trying to think somebody else outside of these two
- 21:27Speaker 3: because I think they're very close.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Levin?
- 21:29Speaker 3: When they're accurate.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 3: When both of those guys are accurate, the way they
- 21:34Speaker 3: can run.
- 21:35Speaker 4: But they play in spurts.
- 21:36Speaker 8: Yes.
- 21:36Speaker 12: Right?
- 21:37Speaker 4: They're not consistent.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 21:38Speaker 4: They're not consistent. Kevin Jennings.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Okay, at SMU.
- 21:44Speaker 10: Right?
- 21:44Speaker 8: Yes.
- 21:45Speaker 4: I think he's a heck of a quarterback. But he
- 21:47Speaker 4: gives the ball to the other team.
- 21:48Speaker 3: He gets the ball to the other team more than
- 21:50Speaker 3: Arch or Marcel did.
- 21:51Speaker 12: He does.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Yeah, he gives the ball to the other team.
- 21:54Speaker 3: But it's funny, in a league where sometimes you don't get.
- 21:56Speaker 1: And they have a lot of talent, too. I mean,
- 22:00Speaker 1: I still think SMU's a good football team. I think
- 22:02Speaker 1: Louisville's a good football team. Are they national championship worthy? No,
- 22:06Speaker 1: I don't think so. But they're good teams. They're solid, both,
- 22:11Speaker 1: in my mind, top 15 program kind of teams.
- 22:14Speaker 4: But I haven't seen enough of these.
- 22:19Speaker 1: these top teams yet to know against each other. Every
- 22:24Speaker 1: weekend we'll know a little bit more. And when we
- 22:26Speaker 1: get about seven weeks into the season, I think we'll
- 22:30Speaker 1: have a much better handle on who all these teams are.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Oh, you have an accurate quarterback? Mateer?
- 22:38Speaker 1: How about Mensah? That kid is unbelievable. He had his
- 22:43Speaker 1: first 23 in a row the other night, I think.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Wait, was he playing Florida A & M again?
- 22:48Speaker 10: No, no.
- 22:49Speaker 4: But he was playing, who was it, Wake Forest? I
- 22:53Speaker 4: think it was Wake Forest. It doesn't matter.
- 22:56Speaker 1: You know, if you're throwing against air, you better make
- 23:00Speaker 1: every throw.
- 23:01Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying?
- 23:02Speaker 3: Yes. It doesn't matter.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I don't care who he's playing. This kid can throw
- 23:06Speaker 1: the football. I don't care who Trinidad Chambliss is playing.
- 23:09Speaker 1: He has jumped to my number one guy, and I
- 23:11Speaker 1: saw this week.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Over Mensah?
- 23:13Speaker 4: Yeah, right now. Yes, he has. And it may come
- 23:17Speaker 4: down to records and competition.
- 23:20Speaker 1: We know that Chambliss' competition is going to be a
- 23:23Speaker 1: notch better than what Minson's going to face all season long,
- 23:27Speaker 1: for the most part. But those guys are accurate. And Chambliss,
- 23:34Speaker 1: he's a wizard. There's a reason that.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Then why didn't Kiffin play Chambliss to begin with?
- 23:43Speaker 1: I think because I think a couple of things. I
- 23:46Speaker 1: think the biggest reason was where he came from. And
- 23:49Speaker 1: he had a guy he had groomed and thought that
- 23:51Speaker 1: that was going to be the guy. But, hey, you
- 23:57Speaker 1: know what quarterbacks, you know, try to get a quarterback
- 24:01Speaker 1: and get that guy to be.
- 24:03Speaker 4: I mean, that ain't a science. It's an art. I
- 24:08Speaker 4: don't care what you say. And they hadn't figured that
- 24:12Speaker 4: out in the NFL in 100 years yet either. They
- 24:15Speaker 4: just haven't.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So it's a hard position to play. When I see people,
- 24:21Speaker 1: and you'll have a guy like this pop up. It
- 24:24Speaker 1: happens every year like he did last year. And you go, oh,
- 24:27Speaker 1: my gosh. He's got the it factor. But I would
- 24:31Speaker 1: argue some of those guys you don't know until the
- 24:33Speaker 1: lights turn on either, right? Until the bodies are crashing
- 24:37Speaker 1: around you and things are going on.
- 24:39Speaker 4: He, you know.
- 24:41Speaker 1: So I'm not going to blame Kevin for not starting
- 24:43Speaker 1: Trinidad Chandler.
- 24:45Speaker 3: You do know Joe Tiller recruited a guy to start
- 24:49Speaker 3: as a sophomore in front of Drew Brees after his
- 24:52Speaker 3: first year at Purdue.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 3: He went out and got the best junior college quarterback
- 24:58Speaker 3: in the country.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Drew Brees is a bad example because he was overlooked
- 25:01Speaker 1: his entire career.
- 25:02Speaker 3: But, Chip, Joe Tiller– who knew a little offensive football,
- 25:07Speaker 3: said to Drew Brees, I'm going to recruit a guy
- 25:10Speaker 3: because I don't think you can win here.
- 25:13Speaker 4: But again....
- 25:14Speaker 3: Some guys, it doesn't matter.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Some guys, it doesn't matter.
- 25:17Speaker 3: But then I'm like, well, how could you not see him?
- 25:22Speaker 3: Drew Brees tried to transfer back to A & M
- 25:24Speaker 3: and TCU after his first year at Purdue.
- 25:29Speaker 4: He was pretty good.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Would anybody take.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Drew Brees right now like he was after his freshman
- 25:36Speaker 1: year in college?
- 25:37Speaker 3: Chip, people would take Drew Brees right now at his
- 25:40Speaker 3: age if he could play in college.
- 25:42Speaker 4: I guarantee they'd take him right now. And he's 104
- 25:45Speaker 4: years old.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:48Speaker 4: See you next week.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Make some changes.
- 25:50Speaker 4: I'm going to make some changes.
- 25:51Speaker 3: And that has to be in by when?
- 25:53Speaker 4: Friday at 5.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Okay.

- 31:05Speaker 1: Mallory is brought to us by Southwest Card World. What
- 31:10Speaker 1: did we say yesterday? This Dolly deal is going to
- 31:14Speaker 1: get ugly, Mallory. The estate requested a temporary restraining order
- 31:23Speaker 1: against her nephew, Brian Seaver, after he was fired from
- 31:27Speaker 1: providing security. We mentioned that part yesterday. Yeah. She's a
- 31:33Speaker 1: live LLC.
- 31:35Speaker 13: LLC.
- 31:36Speaker 1: The entity Parton designed to protect her legacy after her death,
- 31:41Speaker 1: I told you she had it all planned out, filed
- 31:44Speaker 1: a lawsuit September 22nd, alleging that Seaver threatened to smear
- 31:50Speaker 1: his aunt's legacy and made violent threats against several employees.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Wow.
- 31:59Speaker 1: This is just an aside, but I saw this today, too,
- 32:03Speaker 1: that Dolly... when she was dying, didn't want anybody to
- 32:10Speaker 1: come see her. Didn't want anybody to see her like that.
- 32:16Speaker 1: And that'd be the last impression they had of her.
- 32:21Speaker 1: This is so Dolly. The only person she allowed in
- 32:28Speaker 1: the hospital room, her makeup artist. Yeah. well you know
- 32:36Speaker 1: because she wanted she wanted to look good when she
- 32:39Speaker 1: left well.
- 32:42Speaker 10: I saw an interview it was a while ago that
- 32:45Speaker 10: she did where she says that she doesn't take her
- 32:47Speaker 10: makeup off yeah like when she's at home exactly what
- 32:50Speaker 10: if an emergency happens in the middle of the night
- 32:52Speaker 10: exactly she's like they can't see me like.
- 32:56Speaker 1: This that is so dolly that is awesome Okay.
- 33:01Speaker 11: So I believe her.
- 33:02Speaker 18: I do, too.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Since she died August 25th, her longtime manager, Danny Nozell,
- 33:08Speaker 1: and Pinnacle Bank have overseen the administration and operations of
- 33:13Speaker 1: her trust. According to People, the estate was granted a
- 33:19Speaker 1: temporary restraining order against Seaver. Mr. Seaver began his campaign
- 33:26Speaker 1: of threats, intimidation, and coercion a few weeks prior to Ms.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Parton's passing. In writing, he vowed to, quote, destroy the
- 33:37Speaker 1: entire brand and also told her entertainment attorney, I'm not
- 33:42Speaker 1: an entertainment person, I'm a killer, end quote.
- 33:48Speaker 10: Oh.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Eek.
- 33:50Speaker 11: They might want to take that video down.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 33:54Speaker 11: Of him being the one and not.
- 33:57Speaker 4: And you know what?
- 33:58Speaker 1: I kind of wonder, did he do that video on
- 34:03Speaker 1: his own now? That question has to be asked, you know?
- 34:08Speaker 1: Was he speaking for the family or was he speaking
- 34:11Speaker 1: for him? Because no one had ever heard of this
- 34:15Speaker 1: guy or seen this guy. Well, I guess the inner
- 34:19Speaker 1: circle knew him, obviously, if he was part of her security.
- 34:23Speaker 1: But it's like, you're a nephew? Why are you announcing
- 34:27Speaker 1: Dolly's death? You know what I'm saying?
- 34:29Speaker 10: Yeah, to everyone else, it was just a random guy
- 34:32Speaker 10: popping up on.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Dolly's Instagram page. So I'm kind of thinking now that
- 34:38Speaker 1: maybe he did that on his own.
- 34:41Speaker 11: Oh, this is going to get messy.
- 34:43Speaker 17: Oh, no.
- 34:44Speaker 4: It's a shame. It's a shame.
- 34:46Speaker 11: She didn't deserve it.
- 34:47Speaker 1: No, she didn't. I think she's done everything possible to
- 34:50Speaker 1: prevent this sort of thing.
- 34:52Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying?
- 34:53Speaker 11: Yeah, she deserved a couple months, guys.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Come on.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Thank you. Yeah.
- 34:59Speaker 10: Ugh.
- 34:59Speaker 8: Well.
- 35:02Speaker 10: Geez, I don't even know how to transition from that.
- 35:04Speaker 10: But let's talk about Taylor Swift because, man, Chip, you know,
- 35:07Speaker 10: we just haven't.
- 35:07Speaker 11: Gotten to talk about her much.
- 35:09Speaker 4: No, we haven't.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Since she got married, we've missed a lot of stories.
- 35:14Speaker 11: Oh, well, guess what? She is extending the life of
- 35:17Speaker 11: The Life of a Showgirl.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 35:20Speaker 10: Yeah, she has announced that The Life of a Showgirl,
- 35:22Speaker 10: the encore, is a follow-up to her 12th studio album,
- 35:25Speaker 10: The Life of a Showgirl, featuring.
- 35:27Speaker 11: Four brand new songs.
- 35:29Speaker 19: Wow.
- 35:29Speaker 11: So the encore does drop.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 35:35Speaker 11: She explained new.
- 35:36Speaker 10: Songs came together after she took a trip to Sweden
- 35:39Speaker 10: to celebrate the success of the original album with her collaborators,
- 35:43Speaker 10: Max Martin and Chillback. Really, we just wanted to reflect
- 35:47Speaker 10: and take time and how grateful we were in the
- 35:50Speaker 10: moment we were in. But there was a studio there
- 35:53Speaker 10: and we did what we do when.
- 35:55Speaker 11: We feel anything at all. We wrote more songs.
- 35:57Speaker 10: I hope you love them because they were born out
- 36:00Speaker 10: of pure gratitude for your exuberance and a celebration of the.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Album you made. Here's why I think she's releasing these songs.
- 36:09Speaker 1: You want to know why?
- 36:13Speaker 11: Tell me.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you.
- 36:14Speaker 11: Okay, I'm ready.
- 36:15Speaker 1: For this very reason.
- 36:19Speaker 11: Allegedly.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Ella Langley can't believe that her.
- 36:23Speaker 18: Choosin' Texas song just shattered the A Billboard Hot 100
- 36:29Speaker 18: record previously held by Mariah Carey.
- 36:34Speaker 11: That is crazy.
- 36:36Speaker 1: The 27-year-old country singer gleefully reacted to her Dandelion single
- 36:42Speaker 1: becoming the longest running number one song in U.S.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Music history.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Wiping out Carrie's perennial holiday hit, All I Want for
- 36:58Speaker 1: Christmas is You.
- 37:00Speaker 12: For now.
- 37:01Speaker 1: 23 weeks as number one. I'm genuinely trying to find
- 37:07Speaker 1: the words to help explain what's going on in my brain,
- 37:10Speaker 1: said Ella. She expressed shock. and confusion over the feed.
- 37:16Speaker 1: After the rise of Choose in Texas over the last year,
- 37:20Speaker 1: saw the song leap past prior benchmarks on all-time chart
- 37:25Speaker 1: lists like Carrie, Boyz II Men, Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X,
- 37:31Speaker 1: and more. Thank you for loving this song, for listening
- 37:35Speaker 1: to it, she told her followers. I feel like I
- 37:37Speaker 1: don't even know what to say at this point. I'm
- 37:41Speaker 1: running out of hyperboles to describe how I feel, so
- 37:44Speaker 1: I'll just let my dog in the background show you
- 37:47Speaker 1: his excitement. Langley said the song is, quote, changing my
- 37:52Speaker 1: life and changing the lives of the writers of this
- 37:57Speaker 1: song and changing the lives of my family. In other words,
- 38:02Speaker 1: she is going to the bank. It's truly growing an
- 38:07Speaker 1: atmosphere for something I'm going to be able to do
- 38:11Speaker 1: for the rest of my life. In other words, if
- 38:15Speaker 1: she doesn't have another hit, she's doing fine.
- 38:21Speaker 10: I always wonder that, you know, those artists that like
- 38:24Speaker 10: they're fair, like not she's released other music for this song,
- 38:27Speaker 10: I'm sure.
- 38:28Speaker 11: But like you get that one big break and then
- 38:30Speaker 11: it's like, crap, we.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Have to follow up. We got to do that again.
- 38:33Speaker 11: What are we going to do?
- 38:35Speaker 4: We got to do that again.
- 38:36Speaker 11: But I think Miranda Lambert is a co-writer on that.
- 38:39Speaker 11: I could be wrong, though. I feel like I heard that.
- 38:41Speaker 1: She needs some money, too. So good for her.
- 38:44Speaker 11: Well, congrats.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Congrats to her.
- 38:49Speaker 4: That is awesome.
- 38:52Speaker 11: Yeah, crazy. Well, I don't.
- 38:56Speaker 10: Know anything about this next story we're going to talk about,
- 38:58Speaker 10: so we're all going to learn together.
- 38:59Speaker 4: Okay.
- 39:01Speaker 10: Patriots Day Freedom Fest, which is a conservative festival, was
- 39:05Speaker 10: canceled days before it was set to take place in
- 39:07Speaker 10: northern Kentucky and include speakers like Kid Rock. The festival's organizer, lawyer,
- 39:14Speaker 10: and political commentator, Eric Dieter.
- 39:17Speaker 11: Wait, was he all of those titles?
- 39:19Speaker 4: I guess.
- 39:20Speaker 11: I'm sorry. I was like, jeez.
- 39:23Speaker 10: He announced the cancellation of the free event on September
- 39:26Speaker 10: 21st via Facebook Live, revealing that only... six $ 1, 000 VIP tickets.
- 39:34Speaker 11: Had been purchased.
- 39:35Speaker 10: When I put together Patriot Day Freedom Fest, I put
- 39:39Speaker 10: it together with the game plan and the idea that
- 39:41Speaker 10: I could pay for it with a VIP sales.
- 39:45Speaker 11: Of $ 1, 000.
- 39:46Speaker 10: From these 100 people that I interact with on a
- 39:49Speaker 10: regular basis.
- 39:50Speaker 7: I'm sorry.
- 39:53Speaker 10: Dieter, who ran as a Republican for Kentucky governor in
- 39:59Speaker 10: 2023 and for the state's fourth congressional district in 2024.
- 40:03Speaker 1: In other words, he's lost two elections.
- 40:07Speaker 10: And he is criticizing the lack of VIP sales.
- 40:10Speaker 11: I want to tell you something. Rich people as a
- 40:13Speaker 11: whole suck.
- 40:15Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 40:17Speaker 11: He confirmed he has no plans to revive the festival.
- 40:20Speaker 1: He's really endearing himself to his voting base.
- 40:25Speaker 11: Okay, so it.
- 40:26Speaker 10: Did debut in 2022, and he said, I am never, ever, ever, ever,
- 40:33Speaker 10: ever doing this event again, ever.
- 40:37Speaker 4: And we all appreciate that, I think.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't know about it. You know, I
- 40:43Speaker 1: usually know about all these festivals, you know what I'm saying?
- 40:47Speaker 10: Well, you know, maybe if we lived in Kentucky or
- 40:49Speaker 10: in a surrounding area, but thankfully we're in Texas.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Okay, I've got I've got news on the new Tom
- 40:57Speaker 1: Cruise film, right? Digger, coming out next weekend.
- 41:00Speaker 11: You called that, by the way, the press tour with
- 41:02Speaker 11: Taylor Swift. Look at you.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Thank you. So, Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan,
- 41:13Speaker 1: not together, attended the Digger Film and TV Charity Royal
- 41:20Speaker 1: Film Performance.
- 41:22Speaker 4: And Global Career.
- 41:25Speaker 11: That was a mouthful.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Premier.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Not career. Global premier in London last night. And I can't,
- 41:35Speaker 1: for the life of me, figure out where my invitation went.
- 41:42Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 41:43Speaker 11: It must have gotten lost in the mail.
- 41:45Speaker 1: So critics and journalists are sharing their first reaction to Digger.
- 41:52Speaker 1: In which Cruise portrays an eccentric oil baron whose company
- 41:56Speaker 1: sets off a world-altering crisis. It's received polarizing early response
- 42:05Speaker 1: with widespread praise for Cruise and cinematographer Chivo, but mixed
- 42:14Speaker 1: opinions on director Alejandro Gonzalez in a rear two. And
- 42:19Speaker 1: he's made some weird movies. His style and execution. IndieWire
- 42:25Speaker 1: suggests the director wasn't a good fit for the film's
- 42:30Speaker 1: comedy aspirations, saying watching Alejandro Enrique try to construct a
- 42:37Speaker 1: joke is like watching Frank Gehry try to draw a
- 42:41Speaker 1: straight line.
- 42:43Speaker 4: His colleague was more positive.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Digger not only showcases Tom Cruise's best performance since Magnolia,
- 42:52Speaker 1: it's one of the most visually inventive, conceptually audacious, and
- 42:58Speaker 1: unpredictable studio movies ever made. Takes so many bold aesthetic swings,
- 43:06Speaker 1: it makes Bardo look like.
- 43:07Speaker 4: An episode of the Golden Girls.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Variety.
- 43:11Speaker 11: Variety.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Called Riz Ahmed the MVP of the film, but described
- 43:17Speaker 1: Iñárritu as a visionary, adding the production design is beautifully done.
- 43:22Speaker 1: The film, quote, is not what people are expecting, which
- 43:29Speaker 1: I was expecting a really weird film, which means how
- 43:33Speaker 1: audiences react may be the ultimate test of Tom Cruise's
- 43:37Speaker 1: star power. I respect the swing. And what he's going for,
- 43:44Speaker 1: Tom Cruise and John Goodman are delivering stellar work. Sophie
- 43:50Speaker 1: Wright made the show for me. And the production, design,
- 43:54Speaker 1: and cinematography are impressive. In the end, not all the
- 43:59Speaker 1: dots connect. And I wish the film leaned harder into
- 44:03Speaker 1: the absurdity and satire it kept reaching for.
- 44:08Speaker 9: Shocker.
- 44:09Speaker 1: The divide on this one is going to be wide. So,
- 44:15Speaker 1: sounds like one of those you're going to love it
- 44:17Speaker 1: or you're going to hate it movies.
- 44:21Speaker 11: It does seem that way.
- 44:23Speaker 1: And look, looking at the trailer, which we've talked about,
- 44:27Speaker 1: I don't know if you've seen it yet or not,
- 44:30Speaker 1: but pull it up.
- 44:32Speaker 10: Watch.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It's like two minutes and 20 seconds.
- 44:36Speaker 11: Okay.
- 44:37Speaker 1: And You're going to go, and I already knew this.
- 44:40Speaker 1: The hints were already there. This is weird, right? Cruise's
- 44:45Speaker 1: character is weird. The movie is weird. I'm just telling you,
- 44:52Speaker 1: it's going to be different.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Let's say different.
- 45:01Speaker 10: I'll look into it because I'm kind of confused by
- 45:04Speaker 10: the descriptions that of everything.
- 45:07Speaker 11: So, well, I'm not, it's not hard to do though.
- 45:10Speaker 14: Nowadays.
- 45:11Speaker 1: No, I'm not surprised. I mean, let me say this. Okay. I,
- 45:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't be surprised at any of the reactions.
- 45:21Speaker 4: I do expect some, you know, wonderful.
- 45:25Speaker 1: And I expect some terrible, you know, I I've said before,
- 45:32Speaker 1: I I'm not a big, Tom Cruise guy. But he,
- 45:40Speaker 1: generally speaking, makes really good movies.
- 45:45Speaker 11: He definitely puts himself out there.
- 45:47Speaker 1: If you remember Tom Cruise in Birdman, that was a
- 45:53Speaker 1: really weird movie. He did that movie. Just to, I mean,
- 45:59Speaker 1: if people, you know, that was slightly more mainstream.
- 46:05Speaker 4: So.
- 46:06Speaker 1: This guy makes weird movies. I'm just going to tell you.
- 46:11Speaker 10: You're either going to love it or hate it.
- 46:14Speaker 11: So there's that.
- 46:17Speaker 1: There's probably not going to be any in between on
- 46:21Speaker 1: this one.
- 46:23Speaker 10: To be fair, that is usually how it goes with
- 46:26Speaker 10: the more unique, weirder kind of movies.
- 46:30Speaker 4: There's no doubt. He did, by the way. He did
- 46:34Speaker 4: The Revenant.
- 46:37Speaker 1: As well. And I believe won an Oscar for that.
- 46:41Speaker 1: He's won several Oscars, by the way.
- 46:45Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 46:45Speaker 1: So those those are going to be the two probably
- 46:50Speaker 1: most known films that he's done. Birdman and The Revenant. So,
- 46:57Speaker 1: you know, go go on your own. Like I'm saying,
- 47:01Speaker 1: I mean, I think I'm probably going to see it.
- 47:06Speaker 11: I was about to say, are you going to see it?
- 47:08Speaker 1: I think I might.
- 47:10Speaker 4: I'm a little intrigued.
- 47:10Speaker 11: Well, I think you have to now.
- 47:12Speaker 1: I know.
- 47:12Speaker 11: We ought to know. We need an update.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I'm a little intrigued.
- 47:15Speaker 4: That's all I'll say.
- 47:17Speaker 11: Which I feel like is hard to do.
- 47:19Speaker 8: It is.
- 47:21Speaker 11: Claps to Tom Cruise and all of that. Yeah.
- 47:25Speaker 10: Moving on, because I feel like Tom has taken up enough.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Of our time. You're right.
- 47:31Speaker 10: Bonnie XO is living her best life as she moves
- 47:35Speaker 10: on from her divorce from Jelly Roll earlier this year.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Best tramp.
- 47:40Speaker 10: The Dub Blonde podcast host went social media official with
- 47:46Speaker 10: her new boo.
- 47:47Speaker 4: She's got another one?
- 47:49Speaker 10: Cast member Dylan Wolf. To be fair, Jelly was cheating
- 47:53Speaker 10: on her chip, okay? Like, she had to move on.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Do we know that?
- 47:56Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 47:58Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 47:59Speaker 11: It's been, like, out there and stuff.
- 48:01Speaker 4: I think.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Well, I know it's been out there, but did it happen?
- 48:03Speaker 11: Now I'm second-guessing myself.
- 48:05Speaker 10: I mean, we don't really honestly know anything that goes
- 48:08Speaker 10: on in these people's lives, so let's be real.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Right.
- 48:11Speaker 11: Anyways, so she is.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I do know this. Since Buddy XO and the role
- 48:18Speaker 1: broke up, it's been all downhill for the role. Things
- 48:22Speaker 1: have not gone well for him.
- 48:25Speaker 11: No, they have not.
- 48:26Speaker 9: And, you know.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Not my problem.
- 48:31Speaker 4: I hope he can make a comeback.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Just listen to me. Justin Bieber, you know, we've talked
- 48:39Speaker 1: about he's on a Super Bowl short list for the
- 48:41Speaker 1: halftime show, but you'll never guess where he was earlier
- 48:44Speaker 1: this week.
- 48:46Speaker 11: Was it at a game?
- 48:47Speaker 12: Nope.
- 48:48Speaker 1: He was at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles giving a
- 48:51Speaker 1: free concert. Impromptu performance.
- 48:55Speaker 12: Okay.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Sang some of his hits. in front of a stunned crowd,
- 49:03Speaker 1: took time to pose for selfies, meet some of his
- 49:06Speaker 1: younger fans. Less than two weeks ago, the Biebs rang
- 49:12Speaker 1: in his eighth wedding anniversary with Haley.
- 49:16Speaker 16: Wow.
- 49:17Speaker 4: Eight years.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Man, if you had eight years on the over-under list,
- 49:22Speaker 1: you would have won that bet. And I would have
- 49:25Speaker 1: lost that bet.
- 49:27Speaker 11: Yeah, because they got married really quick. Well, we don't
- 49:30Speaker 11: know how long they were together.
- 49:31Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 49:31Speaker 11: From what it seemed.
- 49:33Speaker 10: Right. Yeah.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I mean, that's cray-cray.
- 49:35Speaker 11: That's super cray.
- 49:37Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying?
- 49:38Speaker 11: So crazy.
- 49:41Speaker 4: You go, Biebs.
- 49:44Speaker 11: You did it.
- 49:45Speaker 10: Congrats, guys.
- 49:46Speaker 3: Congrats.
- 49:46Speaker 4: Eight years.
- 49:47Speaker 10: That's like 50 years in Hollywood.
- 49:50Speaker 1: How about this? A new chapter of Survivor begins with
- 49:56Speaker 1: season 51. Now, what that means is they call it
- 50:00Speaker 1: season 51, but it has been on 25 years, which
- 50:03Speaker 1: is hard to believe.
- 50:05Speaker 12: Right?
- 50:05Speaker 1: They do two of these things a year, right?
- 50:08Speaker 11: Yeah, I remember one survivor. You said survivor, right?
- 50:12Speaker 1: Yeah, survivor.
- 50:13Speaker 11: I remember when that show came out and I was
- 50:15Speaker 11: in fourth grade. So the fact that I am not
- 50:20Speaker 11: near that anymore.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Starts tonight, 7 o'clock on CBS. Jeff Probst is set
- 50:27Speaker 1: to return as the host. 21 new castaways stranded on
- 50:32Speaker 1: the beaches of Fiji. Oh, how hard could that be,
- 50:36Speaker 1: being stranded in Fiji?
- 50:40Speaker 10: Do you think the Survivor cast and the cast members
- 50:43Speaker 10: from Naked and Afraid have beef?
- 50:46Speaker 4: I think they should have beef.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I think the Naked and Afraid people are going, hey,
- 50:52Speaker 1: you're getting paid more than we are, and we have
- 50:54Speaker 1: to take our clothes off.
- 50:56Speaker 11: Oh, you get a tube top?
- 50:58Speaker 4: You're in Fiji?
- 50:59Speaker 1: You're in Fiji?
- 51:00Speaker 11: Wow.
- 51:01Speaker 1: We're in the jungle, man.
- 51:03Speaker 12: Wow.
- 51:07Speaker 1: All right, let's do some birthdays, can we?
- 51:11Speaker 11: We can try.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. To all the girls I've loved before,
- 51:16Speaker 1: Julio Iglesias is 83 today. Can you believe that? Paul
- 51:23Speaker 1: Peterson from the Donna Reed Show is 81. Mary Kay
- 51:25Speaker 1: Place is 79. Bruce Springsteen is 77 today. How about that?
- 51:40Speaker 11: I'm only laughing. This isn't funny, but I thought he
- 51:43Speaker 11: had died.
- 51:45Speaker 1: You thought Bruce Springsteen had died?
- 51:47Speaker 11: I got him confused.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. Now, we've done this before. But Bruce
- 51:54Speaker 1: Springsteen is very much alive.
- 51:56Speaker 11: Bruce is alive.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, Bruce. That would be news to him
- 52:00Speaker 1: if he died. And to his family.
- 52:03Speaker 11: I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, Bruce. Happy birthday.
- 52:07Speaker 1: George Costanza, Jason Alexander, 67 today.
- 52:11Speaker 10: I'm afraid to say it, Eve.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Shy McBride, all these people are alive, Mallory, I promise you.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I know. At least right now as we're talking. Shy
- 52:23Speaker 1: McBride is 65 today.
- 52:25Speaker 4: Oh, gosh.
- 52:29Speaker 11: Okay. Jermaine Dupri.
- 52:34Speaker 1: No way.
- 52:35Speaker 11: Rapper, producer, record head. Jermaine Dupri is 54.
- 52:38Speaker 4: I never would have guessed that.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I didn't think he was a day over 53.
- 52:40Speaker 4: I'll be honest with you.
- 52:42Speaker 11: Turns out.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Turns out he is.
- 52:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:45Speaker 11: One day, though.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Let me do tomorrow's birthday since Wayne here. Gordon Clapp
- 52:49Speaker 1: from NYPD Blue is 78. He was the redhead detective.
- 52:56Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Oh. Nia Vardalos, who did My Big Fat Greek Wedding,
- 53:02Speaker 1: 64 today. She was really young when she wrote that movie,
- 53:06Speaker 1: by the way.
- 53:11Speaker 4: No.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Oh, no, no.
- 53:15Speaker 4: I thought I knew somebody I didn't.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Oh, Ben Platt. Ben Platt's got a lot of talent.
- 53:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Actor, singer.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Yeah. He's pretty good.
- 53:25Speaker 1: He's 33 today.
- 53:25Speaker 4: 33.
- 53:30Speaker 11: Okay.
- 53:30Speaker 1: That's it. That's all we got.
- 53:36Speaker 11: I'm so sorry.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Bruce Springsteen is still alive. Let's leave the audience with
- 53:43Speaker 1: that one.
- 53:43Speaker 11: I was getting him confused with Jimmy Buffett. That was
- 53:45Speaker 11: my fault.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Jimmy Buffett is not alive.
- 53:49Speaker 13: I know.
- 53:50Speaker 11: I got them confused in my brain. Guys, I have
- 53:53Speaker 11: a sinus infection.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Give me grace.
- 53:55Speaker 11: I'm so sorry.
- 53:56Speaker 1: And Jelly Roll, as far as we know, is still alive.
- 54:00Speaker 11: I will comment on that.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Mallory is brought to us by Southwest Card World.

- 54:37Speaker 13: It was after a hailstorm a few years back. I
- 54:39Speaker 13: needed a new roof. Yeah, I shopped around, and then
- 54:42Speaker 13: I found Schulte Roofing, and boy, I'm glad I did.
- 54:44Speaker 13: The folks at Schulte guided me every step of the way.
- 54:47Speaker 13: They showed me my options. They told me what my
- 54:50Speaker 13: out-of-pocket cost would be after insurance. They took the complication
- 54:53Speaker 13: out of an otherwise very stressful situation. They took off
- 54:56Speaker 13: the damaged roof, put on the new roof, did all
- 54:59Speaker 13: the cleanup, and I had my new roof.
- 55:00Speaker 9: In one day.
- 55:01Speaker 4: Schulte Roofing, the home of.
- 55:05Speaker 1: The bulletproof roof.
- 55:08Speaker 15: I'm Joshua Price with your Rangers report.
- 55:10Speaker 3: Rangers started a.
- 55:11Speaker 15: New series with the New York Mets. Could they get
- 55:13Speaker 15: the win to keep their playoff hopes alive?
- 55:15Speaker 1: More after this.

- 55:48Speaker 15: The Rangers fell yesterday to the New York Mets, a
- 55:51Speaker 15: team already eliminated from the playoffs. The Rangers tied the
- 55:54Speaker 15: score at 1-3 off a Josh Young RBI double scoring
- 55:58Speaker 15: Danny Jensen. Elias Diaz had to tie the score again
- 56:02Speaker 15: at 2 with his RBI sack fly scoring Brandon Nimmo.
- 56:05Speaker 15: And it was this Wyatt Langford RBI sack fly to
- 56:08Speaker 15: take the lead 3-2.
- 56:08Speaker 4: The pitch to Langford.
- 56:11Speaker 1: And a high drive hit to left field. That'll score
- 56:14Speaker 1: a run.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Back goes Soto.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Makes the catch on the front of the track.
- 56:18Speaker 15: The lead would last until the sixth inning as a
- 56:20Speaker 15: Francisco Alvarez 2-RBI double would put the Mets up 2.
- 56:24Speaker 15: And the Rangers couldn't find anything else as they lost 6-3.
- 56:28Speaker 15: This loss pushes the Rangers out of the AL West lead,
- 56:31Speaker 15: and the Rangers look to reclaim it tomorrow at 7.05 p.m.
