E-Bike Cyclist Killed in Burlington Crash | Montpelier News
A 79-year-old driver faces charges after allegedly striking and killing a 16-year-old cyclist on Pine Street in Burlington. The teen, Shiloh Skalka, was riding her e-bike and wearing a helmet when the collision occurred. Authorities initially held off on charges but, after weeks of investigation, filed a negligent operation citation with death resulting. A heartfelt memorial now stands in downtown Burlington in her honor. Knapp is set to appear in court August 27th as prosecutors move forward with legal action.
