- 0:00Speaker 1: Amen.
- 0:00Speaker 2: So we're here in the Morning DeVos, you bro Sam Lopez,
- 0:03Speaker 2: a k A d J, Sam Rock So Winners with
- 0:05Speaker 2: a z dot org live that so wins with at
- 0:09Speaker 2: org and streaming on all the streaming platforms that allowed
- 0:12Speaker 2: us to happen. Amen, because I know there's a lot
- 0:15Speaker 2: of restrictions nowadays on these Morning DeVos and on these
- 0:18Speaker 2: live streams in you know, in general, we're gonna talk
- 0:22Speaker 2: about godliness and worldliness. Godliness and worldliness. The difference between
- 0:28Speaker 2: godliness and worldliness comes down to values and how you
- 0:32Speaker 2: live concerning God.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Really, that's that's how we could tell now.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Unfortunately, from what I see on social media especially and
- 0:43Speaker 2: on these churches, so.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Called Christ's follower following.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Churches, they're doing a lot of crazy stuff, man, And
- 0:52Speaker 2: a lot of stuff they're doing from their pulpits and
- 0:54Speaker 2: their congregations in their services look worldly. So it's like
- 1:00Speaker 2: I'm a DJ and I do radio shows and when
- 1:03Speaker 2: people submit music, hey man, I look at it and
- 1:07Speaker 2: critique it based on three categories.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Is it biblically accurate? Is it testimonial?
- 1:14Speaker 2: Which is fine right if you want to show your
- 1:16Speaker 2: testimony through your song and how God transformed life that's
- 1:18Speaker 2: great or is it flat out worldly? If it's flat
- 1:21Speaker 2: out worldly, I'm not playing the songs on my radio network.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Why because there should be a difference between godliness and worldliness.
- 1:29Speaker 2: So we're gonna talk about it today in the morning Devo.
- 1:31Speaker 2: We're gonna just be in first Timothy, chapter six, verse
- 1:35Speaker 2: number eleven. On Timothy six, verse number eleven. Amen today
- 1:39Speaker 2: in the morning, Devo. If you have any questions, comments, concerns,
- 1:43Speaker 2: or any prayer requests, don't hesitate to leaving on a
- 1:45Speaker 2: love chat like Brother Manuel, good morning, he sends it
- 1:49Speaker 2: good morning to everyone. Good morning to you my friend
- 1:51Speaker 2: or my brother, hey man, sister Joanne, good morning, God
- 1:54Speaker 2: bless you, God bless you.
- 1:55Speaker 1: And yeah, I'm.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Trying to do what the scriptures called me to do, simply,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and you should try the same thing. And as a
- 2:05Speaker 2: matter of fact, just be who God calls you to be.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Trying is a cousin of doubt. Right, I'm trying to
- 2:11Speaker 2: do this. I'm trying to do as a cousin of doubt.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I caught myself well, a brother in Christ checked me
- 2:18Speaker 2: yesterday that church when he asked me how I'm doing us.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm trying my best.
- 2:21Speaker 2: He said, wait trying, and it was like I heard
- 2:25Speaker 2: the Lord through that. I said, you know what, You're right.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I even in boxing apologized to say, hey, I'm sorry
- 2:32Speaker 2: to bring that type of vibe to you, and he says,
- 2:35Speaker 2: no problem. If you need anything, you know I'm here.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And this should be a difference between them, even the
- 2:40Speaker 2: way we speak.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Amen.
- 2:41Speaker 2: And I'm not talking about fake it till you make it.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about our perspective,
- 2:47Speaker 2: godliness and worldliness. This should be different perspective. We should
- 2:51Speaker 2: know who God is and we should know how God
- 2:54Speaker 2: operates through us because he's in us.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Amen.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Sounds simple. It's a process. People say this is a process.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I'm thinking that when you get saved, Holy Spirit, listen us,
- 3:06Speaker 2: it's just a matter of listening to his voice, a
- 3:08Speaker 2: matter of submitting to God, resisting the devil. All of
- 3:12Speaker 2: that falls into play when it comes to godliness and wiliness.
- 3:16Speaker 2: To Cheryl, good morning, God, bless you. Welcome back to
- 3:18Speaker 2: the morning devo with my sister. So let's go. Let's
- 3:22Speaker 2: do this. We're gonna pray first. After we pray, we'll
- 3:24Speaker 2: shut us out for like sixty seconds and then on
- 3:27Speaker 2: the other side of those sixty seconds, we'll get into
- 3:29Speaker 2: First Timothy, chapter number six, verse number eleven.
- 3:32Speaker 1: You ready, Father, I thank.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You so much that you have transformed us, renewed us,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and that we are renewing our minds concerning who you
- 3:40Speaker 2: are in us and spreading your work everywhere we go.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Seeds of eternal life are being spread everywhere we go.
- 3:48Speaker 2: And thank you, Lord God for your power, your grace,
- 3:50Speaker 2: your mercy, your love. Thank you, Lord God, that there's
- 3:54Speaker 2: nothing that can separate us from your love. Thank you,
- 3:57Speaker 2: Lord God, that you creating us a new person, and
- 4:01Speaker 2: that we are created new because if you're born again,
- 4:05Speaker 2: just power over us, and that you give us the
- 4:08Speaker 2: experience to experience you in a greater way. Today, I pray,
- 4:11Speaker 2: Lord God, that you a guide guard and protect us.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I pray a head of protection over myself, my family,
- 4:17Speaker 2: my wife, our children, our grandchildren, our family members from
- 4:20Speaker 2: both sides, all our relatives, all our friends, those on
- 4:23Speaker 2: the other side of the screen and on the other
- 4:25Speaker 2: side of this mic. I dispatch, by the power of
- 4:27Speaker 2: the name of Jesus, ark ween angels to annihilate the
- 4:30Speaker 2: tactics and plans that the enemy is trying to yield
- 4:33Speaker 2: against us. I pray against those accusations that the enemy
- 4:37Speaker 2: is trying to speak to us. Even right now, Lord God,
- 4:41Speaker 2: as we gather together in your name, the enemy is
- 4:44Speaker 2: trying his hardest to try to distract and annoy and
- 4:47Speaker 2: destroy and kill and steal from us.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But we know that we serve a great God. Greater
- 4:53Speaker 1: is he who is in us than he.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Who is in the world. Your word says, and we
- 4:58Speaker 2: trust your word. We live by your We are godly,
- 5:01Speaker 2: We're not worldly. I declare that right now, under the
- 5:05Speaker 2: unction of your holy Spirit and our pray, Lord God,
- 5:07Speaker 2: faith forward and know that you are God in our lives,
- 5:11Speaker 2: and that we would just be peaceful and have the
- 5:15Speaker 2: relaxation of knowing that we are in perfect communication and
- 5:18Speaker 2: perfect communion with you because we have your spirit. I
- 5:22Speaker 2: pray it's by faith, knowing that you hear these prayers,
- 5:24Speaker 2: you answer them, you respond according to every single situation,
- 5:28Speaker 2: everything that you have for us, Lor God, that you
- 5:31Speaker 2: reveal it in your timing and your perfect timing, because
- 5:35Speaker 2: your plan is perfect and your will is perfect for
- 5:37Speaker 2: us and Jesus Holy Name, I pray it's by faith
- 5:40Speaker 2: and all the saints and believers and brothers and sisters
- 5:42Speaker 2: in Christ.
- 5:43Speaker 1: We say, Amen to the amen. So let's go for it.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Help me share this out sixty seconds, and when we
- 5:49Speaker 2: come back, we'll get into godliness and wiliness. First Timothy,
- 5:54Speaker 2: chapter six, verse number eleven.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'll be right back, right, We're back. We're back.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Let's go for it and get some amens here. That
- 7:31Speaker 2: means we agree according to the word Amen, we agree
- 7:35Speaker 2: with the amen. The one who we agree with is
- 7:38Speaker 2: the Lord Jesus, godliness and worldliness.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Amen. I try to. I looked at it.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I was like, Lord, isn't that a little heavy for
- 7:46Speaker 2: morning devo? And I heard from the Lord he says,
- 7:50Speaker 2: absolutely not. Let's see because of what's happening is a
- 7:54Speaker 2: lot of us are not seeing a difference.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And I know.
- 7:59Speaker 2: People who are not Christian, who are not christ followers,
- 8:02Speaker 2: they know it's like an organic thing. They know there
- 8:07Speaker 2: should be a difference in how we respond, how we react,
- 8:10Speaker 2: how we live our lives, how we speak, how we
- 8:13Speaker 2: approach things. We should be able to help people, be
- 8:16Speaker 2: willing to help people. We should be obedient to God's word.
- 8:19Speaker 2: We should be sharing the gospel. We shouldn't be ashamed
- 8:22Speaker 2: of the Gospel, like the world knows. That's why they
- 8:25Speaker 2: watch them, and they're like they know what's real and
- 8:27Speaker 2: what's fake. It's crazy. Right when I was in the world,
- 8:31Speaker 2: I kind of automatically, automatically, I gave.
- 8:33Speaker 1: People so much grace.
- 8:35Speaker 2: If they told me they went to church, I would
- 8:37Speaker 2: totally respect that and go the other way because I
- 8:39Speaker 2: didn't want no parts of that. If they told me
- 8:41Speaker 2: they believed in the Lord, I would totally respect that,
- 8:43Speaker 2: but go the other way because I knew deep down
- 8:46Speaker 2: in my heart that there should be a difference and
- 8:48Speaker 2: that I didn't want to spoil anything they did were
- 8:52Speaker 2: doing for God. I didn't want them to hang out
- 8:54Speaker 2: with us. And most of the guys that I was
- 8:56Speaker 2: hanging out with, we were the same way. We were
- 8:58Speaker 2: just respect that the other way a man until I
- 9:02Speaker 2: had a personal encounter with the Lord. Then I was
- 9:05Speaker 2: totally convinced that this God that they were talking to
- 9:08Speaker 2: me about wasn't just for them, wasn't just for the church,
- 9:11Speaker 2: but it was for all the whosoevers who called on
- 9:14Speaker 2: the name of the Lord will be saved, born again, transformed.
- 9:18Speaker 2: It literally had to happen to me a man, I know,
- 9:21Speaker 2: a lot of people know what I'm talking about. It
- 9:23Speaker 2: had to happen to you before you believe too.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Amen. Talk is cheap, right.
- 9:28Speaker 2: People could talk up and say, oh, you know, got
- 9:30Speaker 2: this and God that. But until it doesn't happen to you,
- 9:35Speaker 2: until you don't experience or have an encounter with God yourself,
- 9:39Speaker 2: and you won't know the difference between godliness and willliness.
- 9:42Speaker 2: You won't know how to respond, how to react. You
- 9:45Speaker 2: want to know how God can transform or renew you,
- 9:48Speaker 2: you wouldn't know anything about it. And God is so
- 9:51Speaker 2: full of grace and mercy that he gives us the
- 9:54Speaker 2: born again experience.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Amen.
- 9:55Speaker 2: We just have this opportunity daily man to submit to
- 10:01Speaker 2: God and resist the devil.
- 10:03Speaker 1: We have it.
- 10:03Speaker 2: We have the power by way of Holy Spirit. Freelancer, monsieur,
- 10:08Speaker 2: how are you welcome back to the morning devo. We
- 10:10Speaker 2: will know them by their fruit, Yes, and I spoke
- 10:13Speaker 2: about that I think last week.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Amen. We will know them by their.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Fruit good tree, good fruit, battery, bad fruit.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Amen. The Lord make it made it so simple.
- 10:26Speaker 2: He made it so evident when he spoke about the
- 10:29Speaker 2: fruit that we should be bearing and the fruit that
- 10:32Speaker 2: a battery bears. You know, I mean the keyword opportunity.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Manuel says, yes, all right, our opponents, no, we have
- 10:41Speaker 2: opportunity to We turn our opponents into opportunity, our opposition
- 10:46Speaker 2: into opportunity.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Let me see by getting this button right here, it goes. Amen.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I think this is yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 2: There you go God in this and worldliness, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:55Speaker 2: this is where we're gonna be today on the morning
- 10:59Speaker 2: devot the scripture First Timothy, chapter six, verse number eleven.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I want you to just hold your heart right here
- 11:08Speaker 2: in the scripture, Amen, put your hand in your heart.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna put my hand on my heart.
- 11:13Speaker 2: But as for you, old man of God, and if
- 11:16Speaker 2: you're a woman of course, O woman of God, flee.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It means run from these things, the things that Timothy
- 11:27Speaker 2: is seeing that's worldly, telling us to run from that.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Don't have no parts. Aim at and pursue righteousness, true goodness,
- 11:40Speaker 2: moral conformity to the character of God.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Go for it. You have it already, ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Godliness, the fear of God, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness.
- 11:58Speaker 2: This is how these are the results of living golly, golliness, faith, love, steadfastness,
- 12:09Speaker 2: and gentleness. It also referenced two Timothy, Chapter three, Verse seventeen.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Golliness and willliness. There is a difference, right. There is
- 12:22Speaker 2: the power of God living inside of us. There is
- 12:26Speaker 2: a knowing spirit, a knower that call Holy Spirit, knows
- 12:30Speaker 2: how we are, who we are, and he makes the adjustments. Amen,
- 12:35Speaker 2: sister Rosie, God bless you. God bless you. A man
- 12:38Speaker 2: is good to see you on the morning. Devo, my
- 12:40Speaker 2: sister and my friend. Peace to you, shaloon, good morning
- 12:43Speaker 2: to you as well. So we have what we need
- 12:47Speaker 2: right through the power of God, who gives and supplies
- 12:51Speaker 2: all our needs. It's like God sees everything before we
- 12:56Speaker 2: see it. God sees our needs and supplies for every
- 13:00Speaker 2: single one of those needs. He doesn't fall short. We
- 13:04Speaker 2: fall short of the glorious standard. The Lord never falls short.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Amen.
- 13:08Speaker 2: That's why he's full of grace and mercy over our lives.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Doesn't condemn us. There's no combination for those who are
- 13:13Speaker 2: in Christ Jesus. So godliness is living in a way
- 13:18Speaker 2: that reflects the character and holiness of God. We should
- 13:23Speaker 2: be a reflection of the character and holiness of God.
- 13:28Speaker 2: God says, I'm holy, so you're holy. It's in the word, right,
- 13:33Speaker 2: don't be afraid to be who God calls you to be.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Don't be afraid to be more like Jesus. Don't be
- 13:39Speaker 2: afraid to believe in the Word and apply the Word
- 13:42Speaker 2: in your everyday situations.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Amen.
- 13:45Speaker 2: That fear that you might be experiencing about, Oh, I
- 13:48Speaker 2: don't want to share my faith with that person, that person,
- 13:51Speaker 2: that person because they might reject me. Get that out
- 13:54Speaker 2: of your mentality, because if they reject the Gospel message,
- 13:58Speaker 2: they're not rejecting you or me rejecting God. Because the
- 14:02Speaker 2: Gospel message is about the good News of the Lord Jesus.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Amen.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And I know it could be a little nerve wracking
- 14:08Speaker 2: in the beginning, but as soon as you start sharing
- 14:11Speaker 2: and you see hearts changing, Amen, or you get await
- 14:14Speaker 2: a contagious Christian, you want to share the Gospel everywhere
- 14:17Speaker 2: you go.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Amen.
- 14:18Speaker 2: It just takes the first step, that first step of faith,
- 14:21Speaker 2: knowing that Holy Spirit is going to give you the
- 14:23Speaker 2: words to speak. Manuel says, God has blessed us with
- 14:26Speaker 2: every spiritual blessing in heavenly places.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Yes, Amen, so we.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Have what we need, and He would give us the
- 14:33Speaker 2: words to say when we approach people that we might
- 14:36Speaker 2: be intimidated by Amen, it's happened. My first time witnessing somebody,
- 14:41Speaker 2: my nerves were on tilt, but then God eased my
- 14:46Speaker 2: nerves and just spoke by way of his Holy Spirit
- 14:48Speaker 2: to the person God's morale, character and attributes. Yes, yes,
- 14:53Speaker 2: you're getting it, man, well you got it already. Pursuing righteousness, faith, love,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and obedience to God's word. That's what we're aiming for.
- 15:04Speaker 2: That's what we're going for. We're aiming for that. We're
- 15:09Speaker 2: pursuing righteousness like we're actually chasing God and his righteousness.
- 15:13Speaker 2: That's why the word says think in the Book of
- 15:15Speaker 2: Matthew chapter six, where it says, seek first the Kingdom
- 15:18Speaker 2: of God and his righteousness, and all these things will
- 15:21Speaker 2: be added on to you. And I think all these
- 15:23Speaker 2: things is faith, love, right, and the spirit you nine
- 15:28Speaker 2: that call them gentleness, long suffering, patience. Amen, love, all
- 15:34Speaker 2: of it. We have pursue it a man. It's like
- 15:38Speaker 2: we're not being forced to believe God. We're not being
- 15:41Speaker 2: forced to serve God. We're pursuing what He has already
- 15:46Speaker 2: shown us and revealed to us by the way of
- 15:48Speaker 2: his Holy Spirit. We're pursuing the love of our soul,
- 15:52Speaker 2: our Savior. We're pursuing righteousness, holiness, We're pursuing the things
- 15:55Speaker 2: of God.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 15:57Speaker 2: We're not being world minded, were being godly minded, being
- 16:02Speaker 2: spiritually minded, seeking God's kingdom above all things. And that
- 16:07Speaker 2: was the verse Matthew six thirty three. And also if
- 16:11Speaker 2: you look at Collagian's chapter three, verse number two, I'm
- 16:13Speaker 2: just I'm just citing the scriptures. Amen, you could go
- 16:17Speaker 2: to it, you would see that Collagians chapter three and
- 16:21Speaker 2: two actually echoes what Matthew six thirty three said, echoes
- 16:25Speaker 2: what the Lord speaks, and what he said, anyone who
- 16:28Speaker 2: lacks wisdom, man well said, let him acts of God,
- 16:32Speaker 2: who gives to all liberally without reproach.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Amen.
- 16:36Speaker 2: He gives what we ask for according to His plan
- 16:39Speaker 2: and purpose for your life and for my life individually corporately.
- 16:44Speaker 2: God is a big, great God. He's not limited to
- 16:47Speaker 2: just one prayer request, two prayer requests.
- 16:50Speaker 1: No.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Millions upon millions of people can act of God, can
- 16:54Speaker 2: pray to God, can speak to God, and he will
- 16:57Speaker 2: respond individually. Ask me how that's possible. I'm not God,
- 17:01Speaker 2: he is, but he can. Literally, even right now while
- 17:05Speaker 2: we're doing the morning Devo, he's speaking to you.
- 17:08Speaker 1: He's speaking to me, He's speaking.
- 17:10Speaker 2: To every single person that's listening and watching, and you
- 17:13Speaker 2: might get a different revelation from the same scripture or
- 17:17Speaker 2: the same comment the same thing that we're listening to.
- 17:21Speaker 2: He speaking to us because he knows our heart, he
- 17:24Speaker 2: knows our spirits. You walk right now, he knows where
- 17:27Speaker 2: we are, how far we are. Nobody's getting left behind
- 17:30Speaker 2: when you follow the word of God. We're all on
- 17:33Speaker 2: the righteous path. We're all moving forward. We're all on
- 17:36Speaker 2: the narrow road. We're on the golly road, no longer
- 17:39Speaker 2: on the broadway to destruction, which is the worldly world.
- 17:42Speaker 2: So allow the Holy Spirit to guid your thoughts, actions,
- 17:45Speaker 2: and desires, because if we are born again, we have
- 17:49Speaker 2: the desires of God. You don't have a wicked heart
- 17:52Speaker 2: like people try to preach to you and say you
- 17:56Speaker 2: have a wicked heart, an evil heart. Nor I don't
- 17:59Speaker 2: speak for yourself. If I'm born again, right, I have
- 18:01Speaker 2: the heart of Christ. I have the heart of God.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Hey man, he transformed our heart, he transformed our mind.
- 18:07Speaker 2: So the other things that are happening all the flesh.
- 18:12Speaker 2: The flesh will come against the spirit all day every day.
- 18:16Speaker 2: But listen, the more you feed the spirit, the less
- 18:19Speaker 2: you will gratify your flesh, your desires. The more you
- 18:23Speaker 2: feed the spirit, Godliness will be the reflection that we
- 18:26Speaker 2: reflect Godliness and worldliness will be in the back door.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Living with eternity in mind is a way to stay
- 18:34Speaker 2: in the golly format eternity. Don't do something now that's
- 18:40Speaker 2: going to affect your eternity. Your eternity like if you're
- 18:45Speaker 2: gonna just play eternal Russian roulette, I call it like
- 18:49Speaker 2: you're spinning the wheel and you're gambling with your life
- 18:55Speaker 2: because you said a prayer maybe five days, five years,
- 18:59Speaker 2: ten to fifteen years ago, and you say, well, I'm saved,
- 19:01Speaker 2: I'm not going to hell. You have insurance or assurance
- 19:05Speaker 2: that you're not going to hell.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So you're just living any way you want.
- 19:09Speaker 2: You're living worldly because you said, well, I said a prayer,
- 19:12Speaker 2: I'm saved, I'm born again, but I can do whatever
- 19:14Speaker 2: I want. And then you're playing that game and then
- 19:17Speaker 2: til the final day. Can you imagine if God says
- 19:20Speaker 2: I never knew you, You're not on the book in
- 19:22Speaker 2: the lands book of life. I don't want to play
- 19:25Speaker 2: that game. I hope you don't want to play that game.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I want to stay on the right standing side of God,
- 19:30Speaker 2: and we have that by way of following His word,
- 19:33Speaker 2: pursuing righteousness, reflecting the character and holiness of God, showing faith,
- 19:40Speaker 2: being a loving person, being obedience, obedient to God's word,
- 19:44Speaker 2: all of it, it all plays a part, Amen, living
- 19:49Speaker 2: with eternity of mind, aiming to please God rather than
- 19:53Speaker 2: aiming to please people.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I know it sounds strange. Oh, you don't want to
- 19:56Speaker 1: please people.
- 19:57Speaker 2: No, the Bible says be at peace with all as
- 20:00Speaker 2: much as it's possible to be at peace with people.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Amen.
- 20:05Speaker 2: But my goal, amen, personally, is to please God, not
- 20:08Speaker 2: to please men. While I'm pleasing God and aiming for
- 20:11Speaker 2: righteousness and all that goes along with it. Amen, I'm
- 20:15Speaker 2: actually helping people, helping myself, helping others.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Amen.
- 20:19Speaker 2: But I'm putting the Lord first. I'm putting Jesus first,
- 20:22Speaker 2: others and then myself, Amen, if that makes any sense. So, Yes,
- 20:28Speaker 2: I love people. I love to help people, it should
- 20:30Speaker 2: be obvious by now. But I love God more and
- 20:33Speaker 2: his ways and his purpose, and I'm here to please
- 20:36Speaker 2: God rather than people. Second Corinthians five, verse number nine.
- 20:40Speaker 2: If you don't believe that, that's part of the word
- 20:43Speaker 2: that's being tossed to and fro.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yes, you don't want to be.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Moving one way and then anything happens, then you're going
- 20:51Speaker 2: the other way. You don't want to be moving golly,
- 20:53Speaker 2: and then something comes across your path and you'll be like, well,
- 20:56Speaker 2: I want that, and then you leave the God in
- 20:58Speaker 2: us alone you go into worldliness. So that's what godliness
- 21:01Speaker 2: is from what I see and the short time that
- 21:03Speaker 2: I have. But worliness is living according to the sinful
- 21:07Speaker 2: desires of the flesh. How many times you heard me
- 21:10Speaker 2: talk about the flesh on the morning devo of the
- 21:13Speaker 2: flesh and the culture apart from God. So people are
- 21:18Speaker 2: following the culture more than they follow Christ. People are
- 21:22Speaker 2: following trends more than they follow the word.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Amen.
- 21:26Speaker 2: People are worldly because they don't want to stand for truth.
- 21:31Speaker 2: They just want to fit in. And if you want
- 21:34Speaker 2: to fit in, it's easy to fit into this world
- 21:37Speaker 2: and just deny who you are in Christ. Would the
- 21:41Speaker 2: world wants to keep you powerless, The world wants to
- 21:44Speaker 2: keep you quiet, and the world wants to keep you silent.
- 21:47Speaker 2: That's why you see so many videos with street preachers
- 21:50Speaker 2: out there being approached by the authorities in those cities,
- 21:52Speaker 2: whatever city they are, and they'd be told to be quiet,
- 21:56Speaker 2: go away, shut up. Why because this is the truth
- 22:00Speaker 2: and a lot of people don't want to hear the truth.
- 22:02Speaker 2: It challenges their way of thinking, It challenges their worldliness,
- 22:06Speaker 2: It challenges their lifestyle. It goes against their flesh, and
- 22:10Speaker 2: people don't like that. People don't want the word, they
- 22:13Speaker 2: want the world. Amen worldliness is that tormenting? Worldliness is tormenting,
- 22:20Speaker 2: Manuel says. Manuel says, so wow, okay, I never thought
- 22:26Speaker 2: about that. Prioritizing materials success pleasure, pleasure could turn into
- 22:34Speaker 2: pain real quick. Status. You know the I have this,
- 22:39Speaker 2: I have a bedley, I have the what is that truck?
- 22:41Speaker 2: The cyber truck? You know that's a status move some people.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I just don't know when it comes to that cyber truck.
- 22:49Speaker 2: That's an ugly truck. This is my opinion, and it's expensive.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I don't know why anybody will want that other than
- 22:55Speaker 2: I'm thinking status. Look what I have, right, that's worldly
- 23:00Speaker 2: not having Let me correct myself or let me be clear.
- 23:04Speaker 2: If you have a cyber truck, you could be a Christian.
- 23:07Speaker 2: But if you have the cyber truck, just to show
- 23:09Speaker 2: your status. That's worldly, that's worliness. It's like you're serving
- 23:16Speaker 2: yourself rather than God. Romans, chapter twelve and two. We
- 23:21Speaker 2: know we're supposed to be transformed, not to conform to
- 23:23Speaker 2: the patterns of this world. The patterns of this world
- 23:26Speaker 2: is worliness.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:27Speaker 2: The patterns of this world leads to destruction, leads to
- 23:31Speaker 2: all kinds of selfishness, and.
- 23:32Speaker 1: All of that.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Worldliness is being influenced by ungodly thinking peer pressure. If
- 23:40Speaker 2: you fall into peer pressure as part of worldliness, human
- 23:44Speaker 2: wisdom rather than God's truth. Right, people want human teaching
- 23:51Speaker 2: rather than golly teaching. A lot of people just don't
- 23:54Speaker 2: want to listen to the Word. They want to listen
- 23:56Speaker 2: to the world all over the world. Since the joys,
- 23:59Speaker 2: good morning, God, bless you and love, joy and peace
- 24:02Speaker 2: be with you all this.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Week in Jesus name, I received that. Amen.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Sister Joyce for blessing us and
- 24:10Speaker 2: blessing me. Worldliness is seeking temporary satisfaction in sin rather
- 24:18Speaker 2: than lasting fulfillment in Christ. That's the truth bomb right there. Philippians,
- 24:24Speaker 2: Chapter three, verses eighteen and nineteen. So to finish this off,
- 24:29Speaker 2: because I'm running out of time here. Godliness is a
- 24:33Speaker 2: life centered on God. Worldliness is a life centered on
- 24:38Speaker 2: self and the desires of the flesh. Choose today who
- 24:45Speaker 2: you gonna serve. Choose today how you're gonna live. Are
- 24:49Speaker 2: you gonna live golly or you're gonna live worldly? And
- 24:53Speaker 2: I hope you got what I'm talking about. Amen, First Timothy,
- 24:57Speaker 2: chapter number six. It was read the whole chapter three yourself.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I'm out of time, though, but thank you so much
- 25:02Speaker 2: for hanging out with me for the morning, DeVos. I
- 25:04Speaker 2: hope you are encouraged. I know I'm encouraged. A man
- 25:07Speaker 2: start of a new week, start of a new day.
- 25:09Speaker 2: A man, give it to God, Give it to God. God,
- 25:12Speaker 2: bless you all, God keep you all, and remember always
- 25:15Speaker 2: that God is good.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Peace.
