- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the innovative radio feature that we invented.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Hello, yeah, what where you call us and talk to
- 0:06Speaker 2: us about whatever you like?
- 0:08Speaker 3: Questions, comments, criticisms or jokes.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Yeah, or you know, public service announcements. Some people call
- 0:15Speaker 4: in and promote their their events. It's a it's a
- 0:18Speaker 4: it's a free flowing forum of ideas.
- 0:22Speaker 1: If you've ever wanted to ask us a question.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Hello, Yeah, it's your soap oox.
- 0:28Speaker 3: If you think we're wrong about something.
- 0:30Speaker 2: If you're curious about how our business works. Yeah, what
- 0:34Speaker 2: what we had for supper?
- 0:36Speaker 4: So we got line one there? Yes, miss D? Hell yeah,
- 0:40Speaker 4: what good morning, miss D. What is your what is
- 0:44Speaker 4: your contribution?
- 0:46Speaker 6: I am a fourth grade teacher.
- 0:50Speaker 5: You have my sympathy.
- 0:51Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you, thank you. It's a whole new beast.
- 0:55Speaker 6: This year, the kids that were born during COVID started
- 0:59Speaker 6: kindergarten share. So there's that.
- 1:01Speaker 5: Oh yeah wow.
- 1:03Speaker 6: The problem is that we are told to advocate for
- 1:08Speaker 6: the kids and help the kids, but we can't go
- 1:11Speaker 6: to the parents and say, hey, I think your kid
- 1:15Speaker 6: needs to go to the doctor and be tested neurologically
- 1:18Speaker 6: for ADHD or you know, sensory issues and stuff like that.
- 1:23Speaker 6: To help support their kids. We can't say that.
- 1:26Speaker 3: You can't do that new? Is that new?
- 1:29Speaker 6: We've never been able to say that. You can't say, hey,
- 1:32Speaker 6: I think your child needs medical intervention. We cannot say that.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Well, now you have the parent teacher conference. Isn't there
- 1:42Speaker 4: some way that you can say I've noticed this about
- 1:47Speaker 4: little Jimmy, and have you noticed that about your boy
- 1:52Speaker 4: and just sort of plant the seeds.
- 1:56Speaker 6: We have to be very, very careful. And if you've
- 1:59Speaker 6: got parents stick care and are with their kids and
- 2:02Speaker 6: advocate for their own kids, they'll ask you, hey, money,
- 2:06Speaker 6: you think about this. What if I take them to doctor?
- 2:08Speaker 6: And we say, oh, yeah, that's a great idea where
- 2:10Speaker 6: you get to the other side of it where they say, oh,
- 2:14Speaker 6: they don't act like that at home. M oh yes
- 2:17Speaker 6: they do.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Oh yes, they do well usually.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I mean, really, what really, what you need to be
- 2:23Speaker 4: saying to these parents is I think someone needs to
- 2:26Speaker 4: take your child away from you.
- 2:31Speaker 6: I kind of really do like my job, Yeah.
- 2:33Speaker 5: I guess you'd better not do that. All right, Well,
- 2:35Speaker 5: that's frustrating, tough, tough things.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I can't imagine anyone.
- 2:41Speaker 3: No as as I'm a parent, please tell me if
- 2:46Speaker 3: you notice something about my kids. I would like to know.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I can't help them if I don't know.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I mean, we make it harder for people to be
- 2:56Speaker 2: teachers that we do just about anything, you know.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Yeah, sorry, you have to deal with that.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Thank you for doing what you do.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Keep at it.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you. Than listen, have a great day.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Okay, we'll talk to you later about Hello.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Yeah, what's a job that gets harder and harder?
- 3:14Speaker 2: I just can't imagine, you know, when when people say
- 3:16Speaker 2: I want to be a teacher, I'm like, have you
- 3:18Speaker 2: have you thought this through?
- 3:19Speaker 3: Well, it's because the pay is so great. That's it's
- 3:22Speaker 3: worth all this stuff because the face So I'm not.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Going to get rich and you'll never be appreciated. Let's
- 3:26Speaker 2: go to Jessica there. Hello, Yeah what Jessica? What do
- 3:31Speaker 2: you got?
- 3:33Speaker 7: Thank you for letting me listen for morning. I wanted
- 3:38Speaker 7: to thank you guys for helping me pick my daughter's name.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Oh how did we do that? Or did we do
- 3:46Speaker 5: that directly?
- 3:46Speaker 7: Or yeah? So I called in when I was pres
- 3:51Speaker 7: I was torn between teen names Juliet or Jolene, and
- 3:57Speaker 7: y'all spent with Joline and that's.
- 3:59Speaker 6: What I pick.
- 4:00Speaker 3: And you're happy with your choice.
- 4:03Speaker 7: Oh, very happy.
- 4:05Speaker 6: She's now seven, very nice.
- 4:09Speaker 7: We call her Jojo or you know, Jolene or Joe.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So, so, Joe Lene is the name. Just just tell her,
- 4:17Speaker 4: don't let don't let her take somebody's man just because
- 4:20Speaker 4: she can.
- 4:22Speaker 7: Okay, Oh she knows that by heart.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I'm glad it worked out well.
- 4:29Speaker 5: We're we're happy to do it.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Yeah, and for anybody else, if you're expecting I would
- 4:35Speaker 3: like help picking a name, we would be happy to
- 4:38Speaker 3: help with that.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yeah, thanks, Jessica, Thank you, Yeah, thank you, Jessica.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I think the reason that we picked Joe Lene over
- 4:45Speaker 2: Juliet as well, we all know how that story ends.
- 4:48Speaker 3: It's not a good one.
- 4:49Speaker 5: You know. I like the name Juliet, wasn't it.
- 4:52Speaker 3: That's a pretty name.
- 4:53Speaker 5: That's wife's name. I think, Yes, yes, her name is Juliet.
- 4:57Speaker 5: It's a pretty Probably still is Julie.
- 5:00Speaker 6: Hello.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Yeah, what Kyle? Hello, Kyle, Kyle, what's up?
- 5:05Speaker 8: Hey?
- 5:05Speaker 5: Good morning?
- 5:06Speaker 9: Are you guys?
- 5:06Speaker 5: Good? Go ahead?
- 5:10Speaker 9: Yeah, So I don't want to talk about kind of
- 5:13Speaker 9: a little bit of things that must go at agents.
- 5:15Speaker 9: But I was up early enough today to make hello, yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 9: what work? But my office has like a hand sanitizer
- 5:26Speaker 9: stations all over the place. Yeah, there's worked there for
- 5:30Speaker 9: six months. There's never been sanitizer in any of them.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Are you work here? Do you? So you work here?
- 5:36Speaker 3: You have the same problem.
- 5:40Speaker 9: So that's that's my only complaint I got.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I quit checking. Should I look me go?
- 5:46Speaker 5: Look? You know what?
- 5:47Speaker 2: One right outside the door here you go into the
- 5:49Speaker 2: men's room and empty and there's never any soap in
- 5:52Speaker 2: the dispensers, or hardly ever. There's one that the machine works,
- 5:59Speaker 2: you know, the sensor work, and it pumps and everything,
- 6:01Speaker 2: but the soap is not coming out of it. I
- 6:02Speaker 2: keep thinking I should leave a note on there so
- 6:05Speaker 2: that the person who maintains this stuff we know, because
- 6:08Speaker 2: I don't know if they're testing it.
- 6:10Speaker 5: So was there anything in it? Gina?
- 6:11Speaker 7: No?
- 6:12Speaker 5: Empty? There you go.
- 6:13Speaker 1: All right, we'll see we'll see you about nine o'clock.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Okay, see you when you come in. All right, Kyle.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Let's go to Johnny Johnny.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Hello, Yeah, Johnny, Oh Johnny Johnny, good morning.
- 6:26Speaker 10: Good morning. Thanks for letting me listen you lifelong listener
- 6:31Speaker 10: and first time caller.
- 6:32Speaker 5: A life or a.
- 6:35Speaker 10: Yeah, whole life.
- 6:37Speaker 8: I'm about to have a baby boy, and I wanted
- 6:40Speaker 8: to get some approval on.
- 6:41Speaker 10: A middle name. Okay, when Dalton James okay or Dalton John.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Well, now my first question is are they family names?
- 6:50Speaker 3: Are you naming after somebody or these are just names
- 6:53Speaker 3: you like?
- 6:55Speaker 10: They're they're bold family names both?
- 6:57Speaker 4: So so now that so it would be Dalton James
- 7:00Speaker 4: was something last name or James.
- 7:02Speaker 8: Dalton something or no, Dalton John? What was my name
- 7:09Speaker 8: or my dad my dad's name?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Okay, so what's what's the Swayze's name in Roadhouse?
- 7:18Speaker 3: Dalton Dalton?
- 7:19Speaker 4: What?
- 7:19Speaker 3: Oh? I don't know what should I love.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Look because then you can say roadhouse.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I mean I like that Dalton James kind of works
- 7:28Speaker 3: better for very western.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Yeah, well, there was there was a Dalton gang in
- 7:33Speaker 4: the in the Old West.
- 7:35Speaker 5: James Dalton was one of Yeah, he was, yeah, one
- 7:37Speaker 5: of them.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah they don't he's James Dalton.
- 7:42Speaker 5: In the Roadhouse. And then I didn't realize that, So
- 7:46Speaker 5: the Dalton.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Gang and James Dalton Roadhouse.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Yeah, so I'm leaning towards James Dalton James, okay, any
- 7:54Speaker 4: other And.
- 7:55Speaker 10: Then my other question was about circumcision.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Oh don't I went right from there to there.
- 8:02Speaker 10: My wife put that on me, and I was just curious, Wait.
- 8:06Speaker 5: A minute, your wife. Okay, so what does your wife
- 8:10Speaker 5: want to do?
- 8:13Speaker 10: She doesn't want to, May I weigh in?
- 8:16Speaker 4: No, wait, she says she does not want she does
- 8:18Speaker 4: not want the circumcision.
- 8:21Speaker 10: No, she said she wants me to decide.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Okay, Uh, I think he should.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Look like you. That was my consideration because at.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Some point you're gonna be you know, these are these
- 8:33Speaker 3: are the boy parts, and this is what they look like.
- 8:36Speaker 3: He's going to be confused if he doesn't want.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I have I have two boys. And that was my consideration.
- 8:42Speaker 4: I know some people consider consider circumcision barbaric. It's some
- 8:49Speaker 4: say they say it's not medically necessary. You could talk
- 8:54Speaker 4: to your doctor briefly, you're pediatrician, but he'll probably say
- 8:58Speaker 4: whatever you want.
- 9:00Speaker 10: Yeah, that's what everyone's kind of said. So I appreciate
- 9:03Speaker 10: your That was a new perspective. So thank you.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yeah, that was my consideration, Thank you very much. Probably
- 9:09Speaker 4: should look like me. All right, get a magnifying glass and.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Take a look.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Eight seven seven six oh two nine six ninety six.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Trying to figure out a way to make that joke
- 9:21Speaker 5: without it.
- 9:22Speaker 2: That's okay, Dalton John Dalton John sounds like Delta Dawn.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Yeah, like Dalton and John.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Oh you could use all.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Three names though, really Dalton, James, Dawn, Dalton, James, John John.
- 9:36Speaker 3: No, that's too much.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Is that too much?
- 9:37Speaker 8: Oh?
- 9:38Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:38Speaker 3: And by the way, yeah, don't do the three names.
- 9:40Speaker 3: You're going to give them a lifetime of misery trying
- 9:43Speaker 3: to fill out paid.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I can guarantee you that my kids have two middle
- 9:49Speaker 4: names either and they.
- 9:50Speaker 5: And then the I R. S insists well they have
- 9:53Speaker 5: it must be a hyphenated last name. No, no, it's not.
- 9:55Speaker 5: They have two middle names and.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Either no middle name, which some people off for, or
- 10:01Speaker 3: one not two.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Okay eight seven seven six two nine six, Yeah, what
- 10:08Speaker 2: it's an Oh misty again?
- 10:10Speaker 5: Yes the teacher again?
- 10:12Speaker 10: Hello, yes, what?
- 10:16Speaker 6: So I have another concern. So I have cancer last year,
- 10:20Speaker 6: triple negative breast cancer, and I had as far as
- 10:25Speaker 6: having a great experience as you can, you know, try
- 10:27Speaker 6: not to die. They give you a nurse advocate for
- 10:30Speaker 6: anything medical, they give you physical therapy, they give you
- 10:33Speaker 6: all the stuff. The one thing they don't prepare you
- 10:36Speaker 6: for or give you is somebody to help you with
- 10:40Speaker 6: the financial situation. So yeah, that's something that in the hospital.
- 10:47Speaker 6: Oh yeah, that too. So as I'm in the hospital
- 10:50Speaker 6: because my bladder went septic, I get this notification on
- 10:55Speaker 6: my app that I owe one hundred and fifty four
- 10:57Speaker 6: thousand dollars and if you don't make a payment soon,
- 11:02Speaker 6: you're going to go to collections. I'm like, what, Yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 6: these things aren't treated.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you should be able to worry about getting better,
- 11:11Speaker 3: not about.
- 11:12Speaker 6: That right or during treatment, a financial assistant comes in
- 11:16Speaker 6: and says, hey, I want to go over this with you.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Neither your options and we're not going to start billing
- 11:22Speaker 6: you until you're done, kind of like a student loan. Yeah, hey,
- 11:25Speaker 6: when you're done and back to work, because I didn't
- 11:28Speaker 6: work for three to four months, we'll start a payment
- 11:31Speaker 6: plan and not thirty five hundred dollars a month.
- 11:35Speaker 3: That makes way too much sense, way too much sense.
- 11:39Speaker 5: I'm surprised that didn't happen.
- 11:42Speaker 4: It seems to me I've had you know, I've had
- 11:45Speaker 4: a couple of surgeries that I had to stay in
- 11:46Speaker 4: the hospital for a little while. It seems to me
- 11:48Speaker 4: they talk to me about some of that. But anyway,
- 11:52Speaker 4: sorry for that.
- 11:53Speaker 5: You're right, I mean that should be yeah.
- 11:56Speaker 1: All right, all right, let's go to decks.
- 12:02Speaker 5: What hey, dex what's up.
- 12:05Speaker 9: Yeah, I'd like to add a couple of names to
- 12:07Speaker 9: your pool.
- 12:08Speaker 5: That you have.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Okay, one is Jimmothy.
- 12:12Speaker 5: No is what Billiam?
- 12:17Speaker 3: You don't know?
- 12:19Speaker 5: Those are not good names? No I had.
- 12:23Speaker 6: I've had Little Timmy, a little Timmy and Billy.
- 12:26Speaker 5: No great names.
- 12:27Speaker 4: No, I've I've had people call me Billium before and
- 12:31Speaker 4: and I said, and I.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Just look at them, and you don't talk to them.
- 12:35Speaker 5: I won't talk to them. I don't know.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I'm kind of liking Jimothy.
- 12:38Speaker 5: No, No, I don't know.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I'm leaning towards.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I'm rolling it in my head.
- 12:44Speaker 4: It's going jim Jimothy, Jimmy, Jimmothy.
- 12:48Speaker 9: No, then you got little Jimmy Jimmothy.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Yeah. No, No, he is your name? Is is it
- 12:58Speaker 5: short for dexter.
- 13:01Speaker 10: Uh Ambidextrius?
- 13:03Speaker 4: Okay, you're you're just lying now, goodbye. I told you
- 13:10Speaker 4: about the guy I met at my remote though his
- 13:12Speaker 4: name was said his name was Ranger. And I said,
- 13:15Speaker 4: were your parents hippies? Is that why they named you Ranger?
- 13:17Speaker 4: And he paused for a second. He said, no, my
- 13:20Speaker 4: mother told me I was conceived in the backseat of
- 13:23Speaker 4: a Ford Ranger.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Hello, Yeah, what.
- 13:27Speaker 1: At least he has an answer.
- 13:28Speaker 5: I think that's good.
- 13:29Speaker 4: You know, you should, we've we've said you should always
- 13:33Speaker 4: know why you are named, what you're when you're named,
- 13:35Speaker 4: why why you have the name you do, And if
- 13:38Speaker 4: you have you don't know, ask.
- 13:40Speaker 5: Before it's too late.
- 13:41Speaker 2: My dad called the radio show and he said Jimothy
- 13:44Speaker 2: was a good name.
- 13:46Speaker 5: That's why I'm named Jimothy. Hello.
- 13:48Speaker 6: Yeah, what
