Exciting times in the precious metals sector.
0:03
Today. We're joined by Dan Wilton.
0:05
He's the CEO of First Mining Gold, and Paul Morris.
0:10
He's their Director of Investor Relations.
0:13
We're going to talk about what's going on in the overall precious
0:15
metals market. We'll talk about the precious
0:18
metals mining sector. And of course, we'll get brought
0:21
up to speed with some exciting developments at First Mining
0:25
Gold. Dan and Paul, welcome to Ron's
0:27
Basement. Ron, it's always a pleasure to
0:33
be back in the basement. Absolutely nice to see you.
0:37
Especially when we have $3800 gold, right, Because we've been
0:41
in the basement. Yeah, yeah, we've been in the
0:43
basement when gold was less than $2000.
0:46
So it's. Just imagine how blindfold Bear
0:48
is feeling these days. You know, like he's just, he's,
0:52
he's an ancient relic at this point, you know, $2500 gold.
0:56
Oh my goodness. Yeah, yeah, he's, he's a he's a
0:59
part of the gold and silver Internet lore.
1:02
So, so when when you when you think about what's happened and
1:06
what's happening now and you look at what's kind of
1:09
developing within the sector. Any thoughts on where we might
1:14
be in this rally? Are we early stages, mid stages?
1:17
Last later stages? I mean, I'll, I'll go, Paul
1:23
always has insightful views on this from his many years as a as
1:28
a financial advisor. But I will tell you someone
1:31
who's been around several cycles, this to me, Ron, feels
1:38
like we're maybe at the end of the second inning, like maybe
1:43
going into the third inning here.
1:47
There's I think the gold price is moving and it's moving on
1:54
fundamentals. It's moving on sort of supply
1:58
and demand. I think you have this broader
2:02
secular move away from, you know, away from the US dollar,
2:08
away from sort of the questioning of the US dollar's
2:12
long term stability particular well, it's not just U.S. dollar,
2:16
it's all Fiat currencies really and the and sort of questions
2:20
around the long term stability. And that's really just starting,
2:25
right. You know, I think the fact that
2:28
you continue to see central bank buying as a major, major source,
2:34
we're just getting to the point now where the broader populace
2:38
is starting to look at buying gold and silver.
2:41
And I think we're still in very early days on the equity.
2:45
So what's interesting is that those that are producing gold
2:48
have had big runs up in share price.
2:51
You know, there's a lot of the gold producers that are up five
2:54
and 6X over the last two or three years, the best performing
2:58
sub index certainly of the Canadian markets, but yet it's
3:02
still dramatically under help like under held by indices.
3:08
It's starting to creep up in index participation, golds under
3:11
held by most investors. And you know there are still
3:16
these big pockets of value and we'll get to that on 1st mining.
3:19
But, you know, we've seen a nice move off a bottom, but you know,
3:24
we're still trading, you know, multiples and multiples below
3:30
where you generally would see advanced developers trade later
3:34
in a cycle. So yeah, I, I think this is
3:36
still pretty much the early days.
3:39
And we, you know, we've talked about it a lot before, Ron.
3:42
You know, if you think about this cycle as you know, the,
3:46
the, the peak to through, you look at the last cycle in the
3:48
gold price peak to through, you know, call it $250 to $1900, you
4:00
know, A6 or 7X and you consider the through of this cycle in
4:04
20/15/2016 as $1100. Like, I think there's still a
4:11
very clear signal that, you know, we're, we're a long way
4:15
from the top here. Yeah, yeah, a lot of a lot of
4:19
runway ahead for further improvement.
4:21
Definitely, definitely. Paul, what about your
4:23
perspective? You know, look, I, I was a
4:28
stockbroker, financial advisor, whatever you want to call me
4:30
for, for many years. And you know, I did very well on
4:35
on some precious metal stocks. And you know, the one thing this
4:39
sector, the precious metal sector has been in the doldrums
4:44
from around 2012, other than a couple of short lived blips, I
4:49
think one in 16 and one in 2021. And you know, investors often
4:56
ask me why, you know, why is, why is the stock not moving?
5:00
And oh, why mining stocks not moving?
5:04
And quite honestly, I think it was because people were more
5:07
interested in other, other areas, companies like Apple and
5:11
Microsoft and NVIDIA and Intel and, and can't forget, you know,
5:15
cryptos and, and you know, they said, well, when do you think
5:21
the sector's going to turn? And how important is that?
5:23
And I've Dan, Dan has heard me ad nauseam saying I think one of
5:27
the most important catalysts, you know, for, for our stock and
5:32
stocks of some of our peers is the sector coming back into
5:36
favour. And for that, we need, while
5:39
higher gold prices and we've seen successive record highs in
5:44
gold doesn't, you know, guarantee an immediate rotation
5:49
of investors capital back into the sector.
5:52
But the higher it goes, the more likely that will become and
5:56
quite on. And, and, and I, I would always
5:58
say to investors, I think it can happen overnight.
6:01
And really, I would say, damn, probably what in the last two
6:04
weeks, we've seen a noticeable, noticeable change in, in stocks,
6:11
including, you know, first, first mining and some of the
6:14
other mining stocks in, in, in the portfolio.
6:17
And it's been a, it's been a, you know, a long wait.
6:20
I completely agree with Dan that this is just starting for sort
6:25
of companies like us that is developers.
6:28
And I think for explorers, we've already seen the producers that
6:32
are making huge, huge free cash flow at current gold prices.
6:38
Their stocks have appreciated significantly over the last
6:43
year. I still think there's more room.
6:45
But I think you know, and Dan alluded to this, it starts off
6:48
that, you know, when the sector turns, it starts off with the,
6:53
the, the share prices of of the producers move first, then it
6:57
trickles down to companies like first mining developer and then
7:02
to the exploration companies. And I think we're just starting
7:05
to see that. And you know, I just have to
7:08
say, I told Dan earlier, you know, I must believe in what I'm
7:12
saying. I actually bought more shares in
7:13
First Mining this morning. Obviously very optimistic.
7:19
Yeah, I, I like to describe because I've been investing in
7:22
the sector for probably at least 10 years, in the last four or
7:25
five years felt like a ghost town, right?
7:28
There were very few people. There was very low volume.
7:31
But the good news is now like the lights are back on, people
7:34
are coming into town. I know Dan has mentioned to me
7:38
that even at the conferences and I've heard that from other
7:40
people as well, that there's a new energy and and the good news
7:44
is that starting from such a low place gives us like this
7:48
immediate opportunity for some big growth that that doesn't
7:52
even really, I think fulfill where the where the whole sector
7:56
could go in the long run. So good times ahead for for the
8:00
precious metals, but also the entire mining sector.
8:04
How does that how, how does First Mining Gold fit into that?
8:08
You know, we got a lot of new people that are coming into this
8:11
sector, some of which may be joining us right now in this
8:13
video. Could one of you give like a
8:15
little synopsis of kind of what the company's done and and where
8:20
First Mining Gold is heading some things that we can have to
8:23
to be excited about? Sure.
8:26
Yeah. Oh, you go ahead, Yeah.
8:28
OK. So yes, So what is first mining
8:31
gold? We're a gold developer and we're
8:34
actually advancing 2 of the largest undeveloped gold
8:37
projects in in Canada. The company is actually put
8:40
together by Keith Neumeyer of who was actually Co founder of
8:46
very successful First Quantum Big copper producer and 1st
8:50
Majestic Silver. I'd like to thank the sponsor of
8:53
this video, First Mint. There are Silver Mint located in
8:57
Las Vegas, NV creating world class silver bullion products.
9:02
As a matter of fact, here's a 5 oz silver bar.
9:06
You can check this out for yourself on their website,
9:09
firstmint.com. Couple things unique about First
9:13
Mint, they're owned by First Majestic Silver headed up by
9:17
Keith Neumeyer, so they're getting the silver out of the
9:20
ground to the mint, to you from the mine to the mint.
9:25
Again, you can check them out at First mint.com.
9:28
Thank you to 1st Mint for sponsoring Ron's basement and
9:31
sponsoring this video. But back in around 2015 and
9:35
space of I think 15 months, he bought around 8 projects, 8
9:41
different companies. We have monetized some of those
9:45
projects over the last couple of years.
9:47
And by monetizing, I mean, either sell some of the projects
9:51
in their entirety or sold we've sold certain interests, which
9:55
has allowed us to raise a certain amount of money.
9:58
That's monetizing means probably around 70,000,075 million, Dan,
10:03
right now. Yeah.
10:03
And and that has allowed us to to advance our two flagship
10:09
projects. We have spring pole in Northwest
10:13
Ontario and Duparquet in the very mining prolific region of
10:18
Abbottibbe in Quebec. And these are both very large
10:24
resources with robust economics that were detailed in various
10:29
economic studies that we completed over the last number
10:32
of years. So just a very quick summary for
10:35
I guess the benefit of the viewers.
10:37
Spring poll Northwest Ontario indicated resource around 4.6
10:44
million ounces of gold plus another couple of 100,000 ounces
10:49
in inferred resource. We we completed a pre
10:52
feasibility study in 2021 for which we assumed a gold price of
10:58
$1600. That gave us an after tax net
11:02
present value of just under $1 billion US.
11:10
The leverage to the price of gold on that net present value
11:15
is huge. Every $100 that gold goes up
11:20
translates into another 150 million US in after tax net
11:25
present value. So you know, it, it, it's
11:29
massive. This is a project capable of
11:32
producing over 300,000 ounces of gold per year at cash costs and
11:38
probably the lowest quartile in the, in the industry.
11:41
Very important to mention. I'm, I'm sure Dan will be
11:44
talking about this a little bit more, but back in last November,
11:49
we submitted to the regulators the final environmental
11:53
assessment document. Every mine that ever gets built
11:56
has to go through the permitting process and we are expecting a
12:02
decision from the regulators probably the first half of next
12:07
year. Very exciting, could be a, you
12:10
know, massive catalyst for, for the stock.
12:13
The the reason I mentioned, by the way, 300,000 oz.
12:16
This is a, this is a number that can be quite meaningful to some
12:23
of the producers out there that need to not just replenish their
12:27
depleting reserves, but to grow them.
12:30
So anyway, very exciting times. Sorry, you were going to say
12:33
something wrong. No, I, I, you said, because
12:37
that's a big point that attracts me about the company.
12:39
The big producers have neglected their pipeline, the big gold
12:44
producing companies over the last 10 years.
12:46
I think Dan, last time we talked, you said it used to be
12:49
that they were in cost cutting mode and then it came, then it
12:53
became returning value to shareholders.
12:55
And now what what we're hearing from these big major producers
12:58
is growth oriented. And Paul, when you said that, I
13:02
realized like, not only do they have to replenish what they've
13:06
been mining, but now they're also on top of that focused on
13:10
growth. And there just aren't many big
13:12
projects in great jurisdictions like Canada they can fit that
13:17
bill. No, absolutely, absolutely.
13:20
And just so very quickly, just to finish just a quick summary
13:23
on our on our other project, flagship project du Parquet,
13:27
this, this, this is a project in Quebec, phenomenal location.
13:33
It's all mining, mining, mining, excellent, excellent
13:36
infrastructure. This is a project that has 3.4
13:39
million ounces in in indicated category and another 2.6
13:45
approximately inferred resources.
13:49
And we we're drilling there right now.
13:52
We firmly believe that there is potential to significantly
13:56
expand this resource. We actually came up with news
14:01
today with some very encouraging drill results and so very, very
14:06
exciting. We did complete a preliminary
14:09
economic assessment study back at the towards the end of 2023.
14:15
We assumed $1800 gold for for this for the study and that gave
14:22
us an after tax net present value of just under 600 million
14:29
Canadian. Also you know I mentioned the
14:32
leverage to the gold price of the net present value of spring
14:36
pole. This one also has the Duparquet
14:38
also has significant leverage. Every $100 that gold moves moves
14:43
up translates into another 100 million in after tax net present
14:48
value on the Duparquet project. So right now we're sitting at
14:52
just over $3700 gold. Needless to say, the values are
15:00
significantly higher than. I I want to hear from Dan, but I
15:04
can't, I can't help but point this out.
15:06
So the PEA at the Duparquet project was conducted at a gold
15:10
price that is a little bit less than half of where we are right
15:14
now, correct? Yeah, exactly.
15:16
OK, I just want to make sure I heard that correctly.
15:18
Yeah. And it's, it's remarkable to
15:20
think about that, Ron, and that it comes down, you know, to a
15:23
lot of sort of where, where are we in the cycle and where are we
15:28
seeing you got to remember, like analysts are still using
15:31
consensus gold prices at 25 or $2600 an ounce, right?
15:36
The gold price has moved well, well past that now.
15:40
And that extra $1000 an ounce is basically free margin to the
15:45
producers. And I can tell you having spent
15:48
a lot of time with a number of them over the course of the last
15:50
few weeks, most of them were budgeted for the 2025 at 24 to
15:57
$2500 gold price and they're selling gold today at $3700 an
16:02
ounce like and it's all free cash.
16:05
That's free cash flow that's coming back, unexpected windfall
16:09
cash flow coming into the sector.
16:11
And we haven't seen a real M and a push.
16:15
We've seen kind of selected tactical acquisitions.
16:19
We've seen some strategic investments, the wallet starting
16:23
to open up. What we have seen are a number
16:26
of those big companies actually exiting strategic investment
16:30
positions that they've had. We've seen a number of like
16:33
multi $100 million exits on strategic investment positions.
16:38
And we know that that is basically lining up for large
16:42
cap gold miners to have more capital to be able to deploy
16:47
into a development pipeline. Because as you know, as you
16:50
said, we were at these conferences, it was remarkable
16:53
in Colorado Springs at the America's Gold Forum, we went
16:59
from this point and you say over the last 10 years, the bulk of
17:03
those presentations by large cap companies have been we're going
17:07
to contain costs. And here's how we're driving
17:10
costs down. And then it became all we're
17:13
generating some excess capital. Here's how we're going to return
17:16
capital. Every single one of those
17:18
companies CEO's standing in front of investors last week was
17:22
talking about growth. What's the growth profile?
17:25
Where are we going to get growth from?
17:27
So we're coming just in very early stages into the growth
17:31
phase here, which is very interesting for a company like
17:34
us that has to, you know, world class meaningful scale
17:39
development projects in Tier 1 jurisdictions which are really
17:42
rare to find. Yeah.
17:45
So, Dan, I was just going to add to that.
17:46
You know, one of the things I think that makes us attractive
17:48
with this spring poll project, you know, there aren't many
17:53
resources of that size that are this close to an EA decision.
18:00
And I think that's important. I think that sort of helps, you
18:05
know, get us on people's radar. Yeah, for sure.
18:10
Yeah. And that and that and that could
18:12
be a major catalyst sometime potentially during the first
18:15
half of 2026 is that. Correct, Correct.
18:18
Yeah. That's the time frame that we're
18:20
expecting environmental assessment decision,
18:24
particularly on the federal process, but think the
18:27
provincial process is tracking roughly in line with that as
18:29
well. Yeah, yeah.
18:30
I mean, I don't want to talk too much here because you guys are
18:33
the experts, but as an investor and I've owned the stock long
18:36
before you sponsored my channel, all that when I think about
18:42
millions of Oz of gold literally in the ground in Canada and
18:47
where the whole gold mining sector is evolving to like we
18:51
just talked about, it's just it's a super exciting prospect.
18:56
I wanted to ask you a question though.
18:58
I know the market cap of the company, the stock's been doing
19:00
pretty well in the last several months, which is great for
19:03
everyone. But even at this higher market
19:06
cap level, on A and a rough estimate, if you have a a
19:09
number, what what's the gold per oz in the ground being valued at
19:13
right now? Just out of curiosity.
19:15
Yeah, right now it's about 20 bucks an ounce, you know, and so
19:19
we're celebrating like, you know, Ron, for those of our
19:22
shareholders like you who were, you know, picking up shares sub
19:27
$0.10 US, you know, in the kind of 10 to 12 cent Canadian range,
19:32
Yeah, it's up 2 1/2 to 3X off the bottom.
19:36
But we're not really doing all that much celebrating here at
19:40
first mining gold that we've gone from being valued at $7.00
19:43
an ounce to $20.00 an ounce. Like first of all, in that time
19:47
our advanced stage peers have gone from being valued at
19:50
$100.00 an ounce to $200.00 an ounce.
19:53
So relatively speaking, you know, we're still trading at a
19:58
massive discount to a lot of our peers.
20:01
But it's the thing. The thing with First Mining is
20:04
that you have these near term, very tangible fundamental value
20:09
catalysts that are the things that should allow investors to
20:14
really look at the company and change that value perception
20:18
when you get a project through that environmental assessment
20:21
process. You know, you get agreement
20:24
signed with Indigenous communities that you're working
20:26
with around the project. Those are major, major value
20:31
adding catalysts, fundamental value catalyst to a company like
20:35
ours. So yeah, lots of work still to
20:38
do for sure. Still lots of work being done,
20:42
absolutely. But I think in terms of the time
20:44
frame of these catalysts for those of us, you know, Paul's
20:47
been a shareholder since 2015, I've been the CEO here since,
20:52
you know, beginning of 2019. For those of us who've been on
20:56
this path for a long, long time, it is nice to to see where these
21:03
catalysts are now not years and years out, right.
21:06
It's coming into a a reasonably near term focus.
21:10
But you know, Dan, I love the point you made, $20.00 an ounce
21:13
where our peers are trading between 100 and 200.
21:16
That metric alone points towards some of the potential upside.
21:21
And why do we invest? Very simply, we want to make a
21:24
great return on, on our investment.
21:26
And you're right, I've been an investor since 2015.
21:30
I only joined the company in 2021, but you know, I, my
21:37
conviction is huge. The other point I want to make,
21:40
and this is, you know, as a former stockbroker, there were
21:45
certain things I would look at when I was in evaluating
21:48
investments for my former clients.
21:52
And one of them and this is so important is does management
21:56
have some of their own skin in the game?
21:59
And Dan, you, well, it's public information.
22:05
You have over 10 million shares, which is you?
22:10
Sorry, how many? I'm closer to 14 now I think.
22:13
Wow. OK.
22:16
Paul. He's Paul.
22:17
Just just for the record, he's paying for lunch next time you.
22:21
Go out. Keep keep in mind Ron, it's also
22:24
a guy who's done nothing but buy shares.
22:26
Never sold. 6 and. 1/2 years. So unless I can use first mining
22:31
shares at the at the deli counter, not quite yet, but no,
22:35
that's true. And then and then Keith
22:37
Newmeyer, who continues to add to his position, you know, Keith
22:41
is now Paul well over 40 million shares.
22:45
Well, I thought it was 39, but I know he is, I think he said it
22:50
on that webinar his, his aim is to get to 50 million.
22:54
So when you have that much invested you, you obviously have
23:01
you know complete conviction in the in the company.
23:06
That's one of the most important things that I look at, not
23:08
necessarily the total percent of inside ownership of the company,
23:13
but when I look at the CEO or I look at other management
23:16
members, does the amount that they have invested, does that
23:20
represent a material amount of money to them?
23:22
And I know that Dan, you know, get into your private
23:26
information, but you shared with me that that is a material
23:29
amount of money to you. You aren't a multi billionaire
23:32
yet, but but the the amount that you have invested in first
23:36
mining is a is a significant amount to you.
23:39
And that's to me, that's very important.
23:42
Very, very significant. Yeah, very significant.
23:44
OK. Yeah, yeah, yeah, very
23:46
significant. And, and you like and, and cash
23:49
gone into the company, right. This isn't free stock granted
23:53
because we started the company and you know, an initial
23:56
ownership stake, this is dollars in to buy shares.
23:59
And for me, most of it's gone in, in the financings that we've
24:02
done, but it's, yeah, it's real money into the company, more
24:06
than $2,000,000 of my own money into the company to support its
24:11
growth. So for me, for me as a
24:13
shareholder, I feel like your interests are aligned with my
24:18
interest, right? We're, we're, you're, you're
24:20
definitely aligned. And I know that other members of
24:22
the management team have also participated in in, in offerings
24:27
that went on in the past as well.
24:28
Yeah, the whole team and then and you know what?
24:31
What's wonderful, we, we, we have over the last number of
24:35
years, you know, we haven't had a lot of cash to be able to pay
24:38
people. A lot of the management team has
24:40
taken a lot of their compensation in restricted stock
24:44
units in options. You know, we have options that
24:47
go all the way down right through the entire organization
24:51
down to, you know, some of our staff that's working at the
24:54
camps, at spring pool and, and our team working on site at
24:57
Duparque. Everyone is is an aligned owner
25:01
and you know, none of us have made a penny on that equity comp
25:05
really over the last six years. So it's nice now with this
25:09
little run up, we are seeing some of our, you know, some of
25:12
our employees for whom this is, it's a meaningful amount of
25:16
money, right? Like this is getting to be
25:20
realizing some of the value of their hard work and and having
25:24
that equity exposure through that long difficult time.
25:28
But yeah, it's all feels like it's turning around.
25:31
Yeah. You know the one, one thing I, I
25:34
kind of want to mention is, you know, we're, we're well funded.
25:38
We did, I think it was to be announced back in late July of
25:42
financing where we were looking to raise announced $20 million,
25:47
but we had demand for probably around 50 million and settled at
25:53
36 million. And a lot of people who
25:54
participated in that financing, existing investors, we have
26:00
very, very loyal support supporters who have, you know,
26:04
who obviously like the projects and have great, great faith in
26:09
management. And these are gold investors.
26:13
And I think what we're starting to see now is the generalist
26:16
investors starting to look and say, you know what we've got to,
26:20
you know, gold just is on a real term.
26:23
We've got to start allocating some of our portfolio into the
26:29
gold, into gold, gold stocks. And I'm not sure what the
26:32
percentages of global investment assets allocated towards gold.
26:38
I know in other inflationary times it's been quite high, like
26:42
over 20%, but I think it's probably, I don't know, Dan,
26:46
have you seen any info like maybe 1 or 2%?
26:49
1 to 2% right now, yeah. Yeah, so there's.
26:52
There's there's, there's all kinds of numbers out there about
26:55
that, but every one of them points towards the fact that
26:57
we're like it bouncing off the all time low and you know that 3
27:02
to 4 to 5 to 8 times higher would get us back to average.
27:06
So sorry to interrupt you, Paul. That's OK.
27:08
No, that's it's the point I wanted to make.
27:10
But thank you. I want to, I want to ask one
27:13
more question or bring up one more point.
27:15
I know from having invested in the gold mining sector myself
27:18
now for gosh, 10 or 15 years, one of the key components if you
27:22
want to build a mine is to have community support.
27:26
And I know things are going really well along those lines at
27:29
at Spring Pole, but there was a a big announcement a few weeks
27:33
back at Dupart K Dan, could you kind of maybe elaborate on that
27:37
and let us know or the viewers know one of the importance of,
27:41
of what came out with that announcement?
27:42
Yeah, it was last week we signed an agreement with the
27:46
municipality of du Parque, which is really kind of novel for a
27:52
mining developer like us. But it's basically an agreement
27:56
and a pathway forward that we can work to develop the town,
28:04
the city's plans for how they want to grow and integrate those
28:10
with the development of the mining project.
28:12
So the design of the community informs the design of the mine
28:17
and vice versa. So we can, you know, really work
28:20
together, plan, understand what the community wants to see, how
28:26
they want to see it grow, what are the priorities?
28:29
You know, we've, we've enabled that with a bit of a land
28:32
transfer because we still own a lot of surface rights around the
28:36
city. But it's, it's so important and
28:40
particularly in these, in these vibrant former mining
28:43
communities and mining towns in Quebec that you have communities
28:50
that, that, that have existed. The community of Duparke has
28:53
existed since 1933 when they built the original mine there.
28:58
So it's almost 100 years and in a lot of these towns have run on
29:05
run into run through pretty hard times over the last number of
29:08
years. But, you know, with an
29:10
opportunity for an economic driver like the reopening of the
29:14
mine, no great community support, you know, lots of great
29:19
interest in seeing how the project's going to be developed.
29:22
And importantly, that real engagement.
29:24
You know, we're at a community meeting with a more than 100
29:27
people there last Thursday, which was just amazing.
29:31
You know, and people have concerns and people have
29:34
priorities. There's a lot we need to work
29:36
through. But this agreement with the city
29:39
is a real path forward. It lays out a number of
29:43
structures that will have for communication between the
29:47
company and the city and you know, citizens councils that
29:51
will be there to really help inform what are the priorities
29:55
in the development of the city. And then we reflect those in the
29:58
development of the of the mining projects.
30:00
So really I think kind of forward, forward facing and one
30:05
of the most unique of these types of agreements I think
30:07
that's ever been done in Quebec. So we're absolutely delighted,
30:11
lots of work in front of us, but absolutely delighted to be
30:15
rolling our sleeves up there because even as we, as we showed
30:18
this morning, there's a lot more gold to find at Duparque.
30:23
You know, you look at the drill results that we've been having
30:25
there, as Paul said, you know, three and a half million ounces
30:29
of M and I2 and a half million ounces of inferred resource.
30:33
And you know, we've now drilled 30,000 meters at Duparquet and a
30:37
pretty much every hole has gold in it, right.
30:40
And we're finding new zones. We're expanding, you know, we're
30:43
expanding the the, the depth, we're expanding the tenor and in
30:49
a lot of cases like these ones this morning finding higher
30:52
grade mineralization in parallel zones around where we have
30:57
existing mineralization. So it's super exciting and then
31:01
to have that context of alignment with the city on how
31:06
we move the project forward, I think really sets du Parquet up
31:10
for a very, very interesting next next few years.
31:14
You know, we I think we get very little value for du Parquet in
31:18
our share price. I think it's a really under
31:20
appreciated asset, but the reality is it's one of the
31:23
largest and one of the most robust potential gold projects
31:29
in Canada in the world. Or not like, but specifically
31:32
they're right in the middle of this amazing area, such a rich
31:36
mining culture, right in the middle of the Abitibi.
31:39
You could not ask for a better place to build a project.
31:41
Do you know, can I just make one comment, Dan?
31:45
Yeah, the news we came out with this morning, good grades,
31:48
really nice results. But that was near surface, which
31:52
in itself is encouraging in in this region, there's a lot more
31:57
gold to be found deeper down. Yeah.
32:02
No further down. And that's so that, you know, I
32:04
think there's some great potential from that regard.
32:07
Absolutely, yeah. And it's, you know, I had the
32:09
been the, the, the fortunate experience of visiting du
32:12
Parquet myself two years ago right now.
32:15
And it is, you know, that area, my observation is definitely a
32:19
mining area, but very nice people, very nice town.
32:23
And there were mines everywhere and there were mines in that.
32:27
And it isn't like this is a new concept.
32:29
These are, I get the feeling, people that that know the
32:32
benefit, the mutual benefit that can accrue and what it can do
32:37
for the community if a mine is built.
32:40
Absolutely. And I always kind of point out
32:42
to people, if you look at where Duparque is, you're about an
32:45
hour, we call it a 2 hour drive to Timmons and a two hour drive
32:50
to Valdor. Yeah.
32:52
Between those two mining cities, you have literally every mining
32:57
supplier in the world, right? You've got almost every mining
33:00
contractor in the world. You've got one of the world's
33:03
greatest sources of technical mining capability.
33:07
You've got one of the greatest mining workforces.
33:10
People from the Abitibi fly all over the world to work in mining
33:14
projects. You know, every week it's
33:19
remarkable. It just, it's such a culture in
33:21
the area and it's been such a contributor and a builder of a
33:25
lot of those towns and cities and a builder and and provider
33:32
for a lot of the families that have been in in the area for 100
33:36
years plus. So even at Duparcate, a
33:38
community meeting or this meeting, you know, meeting some
33:41
of the, some of the community citizens who were born in Du
33:46
Parquet or their parents were born in Du Parquet, their
33:49
grandparents came to Du Parquet in the 1930s and the families
33:52
are still in the town. Like it's, it's remarkable.
33:55
It really is. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
33:58
A, a rich mining history. I want to tell people how they
34:01
can learn more about first mining gold and how they can
34:03
even talk to the director of investor relations himself.
34:07
But is there anything that I forgot to ask either of you?
34:11
Any points you'd like to make before we wrap up?
34:14
No, just the the last key ones. I think we've said it all, but
34:17
you know, still undervalued. Lots of near term catalysts on
34:21
the horizon here and Paul can tell you where to find him.
34:26
Yeah, I so honestly and I I'm absolutely delighted to chat
34:31
with anybody who wants to talk with me.
34:33
But the best way to to reach me by my e-mail, which is Paul,
34:39
because I have an English accent.
34:40
I'm going to spell that out for you Pau
34:42
l.paul@firstmininggold.com. So that's
34:47
paul@firstmininggold.com. Send me an if you if you want to
34:51
chat or you want to set up a you had a telephone call or a video
34:56
call, Just send me an e-mail or just if you have any questions
35:00
based on what you've heard today, just send me an e-mail.
35:02
I'll get. One thing I promise to do is get
35:04
back to you very quickly. Yeah, yeah.
35:07
Paul, you do an outstanding job of staying in communications
35:11
with the investors, the investment community in general.
35:14
And if people want to learn more about the company from the
35:17
website thatsfirstmininggold.com all spelled out.
35:23
Thank you. Thank you, Dan.
35:25
Thank you, Paul for joining us on behalf of myself and our
35:27
viewer. I think people have learned a
35:29
lot about First Mining Gold, a lot about what's going on out
35:33
there right now in the general precious metal sector.
35:35
And it's going to be super exciting to continue for me this
35:39
journey and see where it leads here in the coming months,
35:42
quarters and years for First Mining Gold.
35:44
Thank you. Well.
35:45
Thanks to you, Ron. You've been a great supporter of
35:47
ours and a great partner of ours for years and we really
35:50
appreciate it and really appreciate the, the community of
35:54
basement dwellers who many of whom have become shareholders of
35:58
ours. So it's always, always a
36:00
pleasure for us to chat. Yeah.
36:01
Yeah. Thanks very much, Ron.
36:03
Thanks for inviting me. Thanks guys.
