- 0:01Speaker 1: There's ten thousand times more going on inside the head
- 0:05Speaker 1: of a man than you have any idea. He's carrying
- 0:11Speaker 1: burdens that you don't have a clue about, and he
- 0:13Speaker 1: don't know how to express him, and he don't know
- 0:15Speaker 1: what to do about it. And he figures if he
- 0:17Speaker 1: puts it out there and communicates it, he's just going
- 0:19Speaker 1: to be shot down, called a full called wheat. So
- 0:22Speaker 1: he carries inside and you have no clue the burdens
- 0:27Speaker 1: and the hell that most men are carrying inside and
- 0:29Speaker 1: not even showing you.
- 0:36Speaker 2: There is a headship in the family, and I am
- 0:40Speaker 2: to be the head of my home. That doesn't mean
- 0:44Speaker 2: that I everything revolves around me. My headship serves one
- 0:48Speaker 2: purpose that I lead my home for the benefit of
- 0:52Speaker 2: my wife and children, no matter how costly it is
- 0:54Speaker 2: to me. My headship is sacrificial. And one of the
- 0:58Speaker 2: things about being a true man, if we look at
- 1:00Speaker 2: the model of Christ, it is self giving and self sacrifice.
- 1:04Speaker 2: It's always look at what Christ did. He gave himself
- 1:07Speaker 2: and gave himself, and gave himself until there was nothing
- 1:11Speaker 2: left to give. That is my responsibility to my wife
- 1:14Speaker 2: and my children. Also, I think that young men need
- 1:18Speaker 2: to grow in character number one, and the primary characteristic
- 1:22Speaker 2: should be love, which is self giving. This is not
- 1:25Speaker 2: about me. If I would say the greatest cause of
- 1:29Speaker 2: weakness among young men today is self absorption instead of
- 1:34Speaker 2: sacrificial love and service, serving giving, and stop looking in
- 1:39Speaker 2: the mirror and stop being self absorbed self giving.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I believe that very strongly.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I believe.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I believe if you spend your whole life to yourself
- 1:48Speaker 1: for yourself, you have no purpose.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Of being here.
- 1:51Speaker 1: This planet is not in any way better for you
- 1:55Speaker 1: having been here. That's what a good man is to me.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I think we are. I think a real man is
- 2:01Speaker 1: born to serve, and serve means provide for those that
- 2:04Speaker 1: are in your sphere of you. To provide for it
- 2:07Speaker 1: means to protect. It means to encourage. It means to
- 2:11Speaker 1: teach and to train whatever's necessary to make the world
- 2:15Speaker 1: a little better because he passed through. And that's how
- 2:18Speaker 1: I'll approach life, is that when people come across my path,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I try to leave their life a little better than
- 2:26Speaker 1: when I found it.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Being a godly man means that you give and you serve,
- 2:32Speaker 3: and you sacrifice, and you provide, and you protect and
- 2:36Speaker 3: you take responsibility for the good of those other people
- 2:38Speaker 3: that are living.
- 2:39Speaker 5: In your house.
- 2:40Speaker 3: That's what godly men do. So, man, that's what I
- 2:43Speaker 3: want to challenge you to do.
- 2:45Speaker 6: To love Jesus more than anything.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Else in life. To love your wife.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Like Jesus loved his church, and you give yourself.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Up for that woman, no matter what it means.
- 2:57Speaker 6: You give your life over to deciphering those kids and
- 3:00Speaker 6: pouring your lives into them and showing them what it
- 3:03Speaker 6: means to follow your Lord and Savior. And if you
- 3:05Speaker 6: will do that, there is a great probability that all
- 3:08Speaker 6: those people in your house are going to follow you.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Be godly men.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Boys are what society off It says, are men. Okay,
- 3:17Speaker 3: Boys are all about them, their pride, their ego, their influence,
- 3:21Speaker 3: their power, their money, and it's just selfishness, pure selfishness.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And so life is still all about you. I would
- 3:28Speaker 3: say you need to grow out of boyhood and embrace manhood.
- 3:31Speaker 7: This is Jefferson Bethkey. This is what differentiates boys from men.
- 3:37Speaker 7: Boys are ruled by their passions, lusts, dreams, people's praise
- 3:43Speaker 7: or critique, money, and so on. Becoming a man requires
- 3:47Speaker 7: developing mastery over those things by channeling their energy towards
- 3:52Speaker 7: a specific focus that doesn't destroy but produces. Yeah, this
- 3:59Speaker 7: is the day diference between boys and men. Boys use
- 4:03Speaker 7: their strength, use their vibrancy for themselves. They don't work
- 4:09Speaker 7: to cultivate. They don't work to shape and mold and
- 4:14Speaker 7: build something that doesn't in the end destroy, But they
- 4:18Speaker 7: build actually that which brings life. So that's work it.
- 4:22Speaker 7: Jeff Cook says it this way. The more I make
- 4:26Speaker 7: my life, my well being, my enlightenment, and my success primary,
- 4:31Speaker 7: the farther I step from reality. Thus, the hell bound
- 4:36Speaker 7: do not travel downward. They travel inward, cocooning themselves behind
- 4:40Speaker 7: a mass of vanity, personal rights, religiosity, and defensiveness. Listen,
- 4:46Speaker 7: obsession with self is the defining mark of a disintegrating soul. Brothers,
- 4:54Speaker 7: I'm trying to call you out of this.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Jesus was a man's man.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Jesus was a man that understood that I'm here not
- 5:07Speaker 5: just for my own good. Men were created not to
- 5:12Speaker 5: be consumers, but to be people that bring provision, protection,
- 5:17Speaker 5: all of these things, all these things that are good.
- 5:20Speaker 5: And what you have is a new generation of people
- 5:24Speaker 5: that they just look to take take what's.
- 5:27Speaker 3: In it for me. Can I have more?
- 5:31Speaker 8: No.
- 5:32Speaker 5: They're born to be a blessing to the world, born
- 5:34Speaker 5: to be a resource to people, to empower them to
- 5:38Speaker 5: build something great for God.
- 5:40Speaker 7: That you can be a.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Blessing to the world around you as we look at
- 5:45Speaker 5: God's word, The Bible says this. I want you to
- 5:49Speaker 5: see this scripture. In one Corinthian sixteen, it says, be alert,
- 5:53Speaker 5: stand firm in the faith. I like this verse it says,
- 5:57Speaker 5: I act like a man. Be strong. Your every action
- 6:02Speaker 5: must be done with love. But when you do things
- 6:05Speaker 5: in your family, you do it with love. You need
- 6:09Speaker 5: to do it in love.
- 6:11Speaker 9: And oftentimes we kind of have paid Jesus in this
- 6:14Speaker 9: sort of like effeminine way. But Jesus was a man
- 6:16Speaker 9: in all the best ways. Jesus was kind with broken
- 6:22Speaker 9: and hurting people, and he was aggressive with unholy spirits.
- 6:27Speaker 9: We have a tendency to flip it. We have a
- 6:29Speaker 9: tendency to be aggressive with people who need our kindness,
- 6:32Speaker 9: and we're overly accommodating to unholy spirits. And you need
- 6:36Speaker 9: to be aggressive with unholy spirits and kind and tender
- 6:38Speaker 9: towards your wife and your children and the people that
- 6:40Speaker 9: are around you. Jesus, what the kind of man women
- 6:46Speaker 9: felt safe around. Jesus is the ultimate man, the image
- 6:51Speaker 9: of God, and as men, we can be confident that
- 6:57Speaker 9: his version of masculinity is the one and the only
- 7:01Speaker 9: one that we should emulate. Now, I'm saying this to
- 7:04Speaker 9: somebody right now. So for the guy who feels like
- 7:08Speaker 9: less than a man, you can still be God's man,
- 7:13Speaker 9: tough and tender, strong and sensitive, loving and leading, faithful
- 7:17Speaker 9: to Jesus and those in your life. Here's how I
- 7:21Speaker 9: would say it is.
- 7:23Speaker 8: I would just simply say that a real man is
- 7:25Speaker 8: strength submitted under his control, strength submitted under the lordship
- 7:30Speaker 8: of King Jesus.
- 7:33Speaker 5: Men, it's not about willpower, natural willpower, natural strength. It's
- 7:41Speaker 5: about being a man of God that knows how to pray.
- 7:45Speaker 5: It's about being a man that's going to lead your
- 7:47Speaker 5: family with folded hens into the things of God, to say, God,
- 7:52Speaker 5: I have a reliance on you, that you have a
- 7:55Speaker 5: responsibility to pray and seek him.
- 7:58Speaker 1: You know.
- 7:58Speaker 5: In John fifteen, Jesus said like this, He said, remain
- 8:01Speaker 5: in me, and I will remain in you.
- 8:05Speaker 3: And if you remain in me, what did he say?
- 8:07Speaker 4: He said, you'll bear much fruit.
- 8:10Speaker 3: According to the scriptures.
- 8:12Speaker 4: When God came up with the idea of you and
- 8:15Speaker 4: made you a man, he called you to be a prophet,
- 8:18Speaker 4: a priest, a serviant king, a provider, and a protector.
- 8:22Speaker 3: And no man should ever.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Apologize for a God's idea when he came up with
- 8:26Speaker 4: the idea of you, and anybody that calls manhood toxic
- 8:31Speaker 4: has no understanding of who God is and what he
- 8:34Speaker 4: created us to be. And an attack on gender is
- 8:37Speaker 4: an attack on the character and nature of God. But
- 8:41Speaker 4: the reality is is that regardless of what our culture
- 8:44Speaker 4: says about manhood, God has called us to be a man.
- 8:50Speaker 4: You want to stand firm and act like men. It
- 8:53Speaker 4: begins by bending your knee to Jesus and saying, I
- 8:56Speaker 4: can't do it without you. The three most dangerous words
- 8:59Speaker 4: of grown can say is I got this, Because the
- 9:04Speaker 4: beginning of the Gospel is bro we ain't got this.
- 9:07Speaker 4: We need someone to do for us. What we cannot
- 9:09Speaker 4: do for ourselves.
- 9:10Speaker 10: Is that courageous men don't bend to culture but to
- 9:13Speaker 10: God's word. Courageous men never bend to culture, but to
- 9:18Speaker 10: God's word. Let me make you a promise. Let me
- 9:20Speaker 10: make you a promise as a Christian man. Over time,
- 9:23Speaker 10: this culture will try to get you to bend away
- 9:28Speaker 10: from God's word into doing what our world wants. We
- 9:34Speaker 10: need more courageous, godly men that don't bend to culture.
- 9:38Speaker 10: They bend to God's word. They have developed such a
- 9:42Speaker 10: habit of prayer that no matter what comes their way,
- 9:45Speaker 10: they are grounded in their faith, and that even when
- 9:48Speaker 10: they feel fear, they saddle up and they keep stepping forward.
- 9:56Speaker 5: There has been this tearing down of the family that
- 10:01Speaker 5: if the enemy can tear down the core of what
- 10:04Speaker 5: a family is meant to be, then it will cause
- 10:07Speaker 5: destruction to come.
- 10:08Speaker 6: Upon a land.
- 10:11Speaker 5: If you're not going to stand up and take the
- 10:13Speaker 5: god given authority that God has placed on your life
- 10:16Speaker 5: and to lead people in love, the devil will be
- 10:19Speaker 5: happy to do it for you.
- 10:21Speaker 1: This country is only as strong as the churches. The
- 10:25Speaker 1: churches are only as strong as the families that make
- 10:28Speaker 1: up those churches. Those families are only as strong as
- 10:31Speaker 1: a marriage is that those families are built on, And
- 10:34Speaker 1: those marriages are only as strong and good as the
- 10:37Speaker 1: man that God built the marriages on. As goes the man,
- 10:41Speaker 1: so goes the marriage, and goes the marriage, so goes
- 10:43Speaker 1: the family. As goes the family, so goes the churches.
- 10:46Speaker 1: As goes the churches, so goes the country. Everything is
- 10:52Speaker 1: built on the husband and the father
- 11:01Speaker 5: Accompani
