Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: It is the aftermath episode of The Mile High Huddle Podcast.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm your host Chad Jensen with me.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: My fellow football priest, you know him, you love him.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Zach Kelberman Zach.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yesterday, we were riding high.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: It was an epic win, Broncos 22, chiefs 19, exercising.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: Not only the demons of last year at Arrowhead, Zach, but arguably,
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: the demons of the preceding nine years.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: It was great.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: We worked out our hormones in the gut reaction.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: How are you feeling about things today?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: Now that you've had a night to sleep on it and kind of let things settle in.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, as usual, I really don't tend to change my opinion too much the day after it was a big win pivotal win, one of the biggest or the biggest in the Sean Peyton bonus era.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos have firm control of the AFC West, they came back in a game that not many of us thought they would win including myself.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: I give them a ton of credit.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: I also, as I wrote about for the website, I like.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: How the locker room has responded to the criticism.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: There was the Adam Troutman interview where he said the critics of Bonyx are cowards and he doesn't care what they think and we're going to keep moving forward regardless.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: So the teams in a good position, the locker rooms in a good position and the brokers are going into their by week very, very happy.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: Even Sean Payton got in on the.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: pre-game, and really the kind of two weeks leading up, pardon me, to the Chiefs game, thing the criticism's act because apparently
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: Bill Cower said a little something something in the CBS pregame that he didn't like and and I think it was something to the effect of The Broncos are playing with house money and Sean Peyton was like, what does that even mean we had nothing to lose in that game like even if we lost that that we had nothing to lose chiefs had everything to lose.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: So what was he talking about we're playing with house money is like be quiet I'm like, whoa for Peyton dude, that's kind of coming in hot.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what, it works when you keep winning and right now the Broncos are winning.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: They have the best record in the NFL.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: If the season ended today, Chad, the AFC playoffs would go through in power field, which is pretty crazy to think about.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: So we like them when it works and right now it's working.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: We got a legendary mythical superstar checking in off the top rope sandbanned brothers and great to have you big dog.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for the support.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: He says even in guys.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that Eagles win was the biggest win since Super Bowl 50, but yesterday's win was the biggest win.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos were the better and more clutch team, and even did it without PS2, Singleton, and Dobbins, Go Broncos, nine and two.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, if you think about it, all these arguments that the Broncos hadn't beaten anybody.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: just are looking more and more asynine because not only Zach if they defeated both teams that were in the Super Bowl, the World Champion Eagles, and then of course the representing the AFC Chiefs, they beat the number one offense, they beat the number one defense, like just given their flowers and go look, you know.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's maybe a little bit the way Denver wins relative to some of the other, maybe we won't call them juggernauts, but some of the class teams of the AFC and NFC.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's a little bit different, it's not quite so Star Wars, Numbersy, and it's a little bit more ramshackle.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how to explain it, but just give them their, their do.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean either way.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: They figure out a way when the chips are down.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: They find a way to win.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not like every single game's act has been like T. Boesk, crap fest until six minutes left in the fourth quarter.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they've had some big blowout signature wins, bangles, pre-Joe Flacco, bangles, and of course Dallas, and then of course that the amazing comeback against the giants from which we were there to witness.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: I've said it before, I'll say it again, first of all, thank you so much Sam, but if Bonyx walked on water, they say it's because he couldn't swim.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: No matter what the Broncos do, they can run the table when the Super Bowl, some people will still say their frauds.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a writer from the athletic on Twitter yesterday, I won't say the name, they said 9 and 2, still frauds long ago, little frauds, hell, I'm for all the reasons you just laid out, Chad, they've run the gauntlet, the knock on them last season was, they didn't
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: They've done that this season.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: They're still getting crap.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: But who really cares?
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Let me.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: Let him hate baby.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let him hate no doubt about it.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: Sam, thank you, buddy.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Really, really appreciate you pop a bear checking in.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Hope, hope everybody has had just a phenomenal victory Monday, including you pop a bear.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: Good evening, Broncos country.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Hashtag God bless the USA 13 or four plus plus plus plus plus.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you look now, Zach, at the remaining six games coming out of the buy, I might get the order a little bit wrong off the top of my head, but
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: Green Bay, I'm missing one.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: What am I missing?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: Because then it's chiefs.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Jacksonville, right?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't Jacksonville on the schedule?
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: Wait a second.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm tripping.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now I got to look at it.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm psyching myself out.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: I got to take a quick.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, anything could happen in the NFL.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: You have to visual games to love coming.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: Those are going to be tough.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, the Broncos could still pull the bad Broncos.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't seen that in a few weeks, but there's always a loss you don't see coming, but David, to your point now, you've been on the 13 and 4 bandwagon for months, not just the last couple days.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: So if they play, I'll say it again.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Might seem like a cop out.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: If they play that brand of football, like we saw yesterday, they can and will probably end up running the table.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be honest with you, those Zach, I'm not sure I want them to run the table.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would rather them lose one or two more depending on what it would do to their conference seating just so that I've seen it before.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it happened to the 2012 Broncos that run they went on.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then they get to the divisional round as the number one seed, of course, getting the buy.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then they just didn't look like they were prepared for what came next.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: Chris Bell, a dear member jumping in on Super Chat.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, bro.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pumped about the win.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to the next game.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sick, dude.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: The next game you're going to the one in Washington.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: That'll be dope.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, represent Chris.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of hoping that game gets flexed out.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: I know you probably have plans set for that game already Chris, but that's games and to be on Sunday night footballs and stands and probably a little one sided with the commanders having a terrible season.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you'll have to wait a little while with the buy, but that'll be, it'll be worth the way for you, Chris.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: Be right in the house, legend, a dear friend.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: Look at his profile pic.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: We were just hanging out a couple two, three, four weeks ago, whatever it was.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I guess it's been about a month, Zack, since the Meanory boy, time flies.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: Brad's great to see you, brother.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the support.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for being a dear member.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: He says, we went to the game, and it was nuts.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: rock in my MHH hat, obviously sick, brother.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: Ref's tried to give that game to KC for sure, didn't matter, nine and two, let's fricking go.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even Sean Peyton complimented, it was kind of an underhanded compliment if I'm being honest, Zach, I gotta, I'll see if I can find it, but let me see, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll see if I can find it, but Zach, it was very loud.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: It was extremely loud.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's always loud.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: We experienced that during the Giant's game, the Broncos, I think, have the best fans in the NFL.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: But Brad, objectively, I think the officiating was terrible on both sides, the officiating were way too involved and seemed like every other player of flag.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: I hate games like that.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: So we can call and nitpick the flags either on the Broncos, but they were planning on the chiefs too.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: It was a bad game in that sense.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to find this.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I won't bore you guys.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'll find it here in a little bit.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was a compliment to the fans, but kind of when Sean Peyton has to say with respect when he practices it with respect, it's a little bit kind of like, I'm about to be blunt on something you might not want to hear.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: But in this case, it was a compliment at the end of the day.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'll find it here in a second.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to keep you guys waiting too long.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: be read.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, brother.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you for rocking the the brand at the stadium buddy.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: George Fox, good to see you, pal.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, it is it's still like walking on the clouds after that win.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: Go Broncos, Broncos for life, images for life.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: Hit the thumbs up.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, guys, we need you every time you're in the room with those.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: Please just take half a second and find the like button helps us out tremendously.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: You have no idea.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Mark Smith on Facebook.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: What a year
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: Orange crush 2.0.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they need to come up with a name for this defense, you know, and especially, while BJ still here, you know, you have the orange crush, you have the no fly zone, but those things, you can't really force it.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: They kind of have to happen organically and the way it happened for the no fly zone, for example, came through Chris Harris Jr and all that stuff.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, thank you, Mark, two-song fill, good evening, Chad Zach and Deacon Scott.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: If we lose another game or two, I just hope it's not against the Raiders Chargers or Chiefs, exactly.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we need Zack that AFC West supremacy.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: And also AFC victories in themselves, so if they drop a game into the Packers, let's say in a few weeks, that's not as bad as dropping a game, like you're saying, filled to the Raiders or the Chargers or really anyone in the AFC.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: man this is starting to bug me I'm now starting to doubt my own sanity like it was in the quotes I read in this morning I'll find it I'll find it but yeah fill and look if they lose one more I mean I don't I don't expect New England to run the table I'm gonna I'm gonna go take a look at their
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: their schedule here in a second, but Zach, how refreshing is it to be sitting here now about to hit week 12.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: And we're not like, what do we got to do to turn this thing around?
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: We're going, hmm, what's the more fortuitous thing?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want them to go undefeated to finish the season?
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they should just lose one more?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's really crazy.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a testament to
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mentioned it last night, like there were so many seasons since we've been potting together, Chad, where before Halloween, we were talking about the NFL draft because the season was a lost cause already.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: And now it's coming up on Thanksgiving and the Brock Osiron firm control of the AFC West.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's quite a time.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: I have an idea.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think I know a keyword to find it, hopefully here in the second thing it.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that word.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I'm gonna let it go for a second.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: Brace girdle in the house, Ralph, what's going on big dog?
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: So good to see one of our dear friends and valuable superstars and members on YouTube.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Ralph give a shout out to everybody.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: He says, priest, I'm agreeing with Jean William,
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: that we can win out now, is Gene saying that in the chat, I'll see if I can find it.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: Unless we sit starters at the end of the season, paths and cults have a rougher stretch than the Broncos.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: That was kind of weird.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, how taking a back where you
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: Chargers, not just losing to the jags, but getting blown out.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: Chargers are going to charger.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: The bigger point here to me, like Ralph points out is the patch I've had a cupcake schedule to start this season and everyone is giving Drake may and Mike Raeble loving.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of that is deserved, but they've been a product of an easier schedule and that everyone dinges the brachos for being what they are with their schedule.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_02]: The double standards are just so annoying to me.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: So here's what they've got.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: They've got New England has the bangles next week, but in sensey, then the giants at home, then they get there by then home against Buffalo on the road against a kind of slightly resurgent Baltimore Ravens on the road at the jets home against the dolphins.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the cake.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's the remainder of their schedule.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: So two,
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: to me kind of tough ones on the face of it, but some of these you never know how they could turn out, especially with the second year quarterback.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see the bills game being tough, form considering how Buffalo's playing this year.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's a divisional game for New England.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: If they're for real, they wouldn't that game, but that is such an easy schedule, my God.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, dude.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: So Ralph, thank you, bro.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it shakes out in the cult.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, as big of a story of the, as the Broncos have been this year, they were a playoff team last season.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: The cults are still arguably the biggest surprise of the NFL.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: You want to talk about few people see in the Broncos coming, nobody saw the cults coming.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's an absolute,
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, that's an absolute fact.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: So be rad, jump it in again, bro.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Brad.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: Not sure how I feel about the first round by and rather have the two seed, but that means maybe playing KC if they make it.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, those are the kind of things where you just got to let the chips fall.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, um, you know, there are pros and cons to the argument of playoff
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: two of the three they played in the wild card round.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: So that includes Super Bowl 32 team they had to go the distance, the 2015, wait a minute.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: No, not the 2015.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Did the 2015 play in the wild card?
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, they played Pittsburgh and the Patriots.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: I take that back.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: But there's an argument to be made, Zach.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like, do you want to keep the momentum going and stay in that rhythm of plan or do you want the buy?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: There's only one to go around.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: So if the Broncos can get the one seed I'm not going to sneeze at that.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: You're right, Chad.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to shake out how it shakes out.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos could very well lose another game or two.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: The rest of the season.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: But we're guaranteed to make the postseason.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like we're guaranteed to win the West.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what I'm happy about right now.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: Man, this is driving me nuts.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: This freaking quote thing.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I'm gonna officially drop it.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, be red.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, but isn't it wild that here we are again?
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: These are the kind of considerations we have.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: And now, as
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: novel as it may seem kind of it also feels like, you know, this is where we're supposed to be like we all remember what it's like living in this zone and the Broncos act are back to where they need to be and I think it's better for the NFL too because Denver is such a phenomenal sports town and the Broncos are one of the, you know, most storied teams in the league history.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: The NFL supposed to love embracing their young quarterbacks, but it seems like there's one they haven't embraced yet, and that's both next.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully, it'll change that.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: Jason Bruton, what's up, dude?
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Gentleman's you have.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: emails.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: One amazing work this year.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: Zach.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: I need your help on that first half.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think you've done amazing work this year.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for all Denver Brocos fans.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: Is this the best year MHH has had?
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, it depends on how you want to measure it.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's been great.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: Pardon?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: Best meeting.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: The meeting greet was insane.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely definitely the best meeting greet in terms of just a number of folks turning out and showing
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, traffic's been weird this year.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how to explain that.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: That just boars you guys.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: You don't need to hear about that.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, YouTube's been great.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to say, but we haven't really with the year having not been in the books fully yet.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Jason, we're yet to measure, but you're making it all that much better.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you for the support big dog.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: Really appreciate you.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much Jason for that and I stick around.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: Let us know if you have any other comments or questions.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, thank you pal cotton mouts in the house.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, bro?
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Stir hope the Walton's throw a huge raise and a crap load of Walmart gift cards at VJ.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: He will be at the top of the head coach list.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I want to give credit to Colin.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Dunham, who was bringing that up over the weekend that the Walton Penners, hey, maybe they could save this thing and just.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: pay VJ, but you got to ask yourself, you got to balance that Zach with how much are you willing to pay him?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm not sure exactly what, let's say it's the giants.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: Just as an example, what the giants might be willing to offer him in terms of pay.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: If you were to match that, it might put you really close to the head coach and not only that Zach, but if you do let him go, as you like to bring up, you get those two
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I can't say credit for this this comment, but I feel this way.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: I hope VJ treats this job and future opportunities kind of like Ben Johnson did the former Lions OC who's now the mayor's head coach he waited and waited and waited for the right opportunity we don't want VJ to get some crap job and with the like dolphins for example and just flounder there we all would want VJ to go off and have a
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: a decent shot at a second since it has a head coach.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: So if they can keep him around, I think they'll offer him close to a blank check, but if DJ really wants another shot at the head coaching Apple, who's to say that he doesn't deserve it by now because he does.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, man.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of, I fluctuates that on how I feel about it, those third round picks could be something.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's become arguably Zack, the best defense coordinator in the NFL.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: And people can say, oh,
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Look at all the talent he has, you know, of course he's killing it as a defensive coordinator, but even he brought this up, not in a way to brag last week, but more of just kind of reminiscing on how the turnaround has happened when he arrived with Sean Payton.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like Nick Benito, let's not forget in 2024, he was not the starter to open the season.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Jonathan Cooper by that point had earned himself a starting job, but neither guy had become the bone of five like game-changing double-digit sack artists that they are and that they became Zach and and Banschot.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: Those, that's just one example, including also, you know, Patrick Sertan, he'd gotten the accolades, of course, but defensive player of the year.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: How rare is that for a Bronco?
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: And Joe's
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: he would tell them, you guys have what it takes to be two of the best past pressures in the NFL and they didn't see it at the time, but now they look back on and they go, wow, you were right coach, thank you for everything.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, VJ's impact on this defense, it's stretches that beyond just the X's a nose on game day.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: How about Zach Allen?
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: If you're a fan of Zach Allen, then you got to give Vijay a lot of credit for developing him, not just in Denver, but going back to Arizona.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: And he's a joy to play for Chad.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: All the players love Vijay.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's very aggressive.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think he meshes well with the 2025 style of defense and NFL teams are running now.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: He gets, I think he knows the best way to shut down the opponent's number one weapon.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: And if you look at his success against Patrick Mahomes, that demonstrates that.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's earned another shot of the head coaching job.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and if you think about it, who besides Sir Tan is the first round pick on that defense?
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the next high is there's a graph header ring.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, Baron, that's true, but he's a rookie.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: So it's hard to say like,
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: and what he'd be starting if certain we're healthy.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, one could bear in though for the sake of argument, but he's a rook, so, you know, he's still kind of in utero, in Christmas, so to speak, but the next highest draft pedigree is literally Bonito, second round pick.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: You got a couple of third rounders, or let's see.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: Zach Allen was a third rounder of Arizona's.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: We could go on and on, Jonathan Cooper was a seventh rounder.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: So Riley Moss, a third rounder.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: Sam Bam, jumping in again, bro.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think I speak for all Broncos fans that the bias coming at a good time to allow our collective blood pressure and heart rates to recover from all these close games.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt, dude.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to VJ and Lutz with another clutch game winning kick.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would be shocked, Zach, if Will Lutz doesn't take home special
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: Big nuts, lots, he's earned that nickname, Chad 10 fold over.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I feel as close to 100% confident as any time I would feel with the Broncos kicker out there in a pressure situation.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: So again, big shots to Will Lutz and we just complimented VJ for the game plan against my homes.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: That's why we talked about him VB getting another head coaching job.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: But thank you so much Sam as always for your contributions, man.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: no doubt.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, you know, Darren Rizzi's unit finally looked like what we kind of expected it to look like with all the hype surrounding him coming to Denver because you had the returns from MIMS.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: You had Frank Crum, blocking an extra point, solid punting, luts was clutch.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was a complimentary Bob Morris wrote up a great article.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's how winning teams become winning teams.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's complimentary football all three phases.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Michaela Parker, the Duchess in the house.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome superstar, dear friend.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: We love you, Michaela.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: She says, bow.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: watching him.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: It struck me how he actually planted his feet.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't flailing like the afloat duck.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: He actually went through his progressions and settled way to go bow.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you could see that that was a point of emphasis for him and the coaches during that.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: three extra days, you know, that Broncos got by virtue of the mini-buy, and the fact that because I mean, he still looked a little bit at times a little bit at times unsettled and rushed, but way better in terms of his pocket poise, his footwork, all that stuff.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: And we have learned since the game, I don't know if it was from what Bo said or a report, but Bo specifically was really
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: entering this game and it, unsurprisingly, uncoincidentally, lined up.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he kept his mind on that, fixed it, and it led to good things.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: That's a great point, Michaela.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for bringing it up.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_02]: If you watched a throw to Shory Franklin down the sideline on the game, winning drive, the clutch of throw, I think Bow's made in his career.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: His feet were perfectly settled.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't nervous, he wasn't erratic, he was anchored in the pocket and he delivered a dot to Shory Franklin.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, that's the type of quarterback he can be.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why we continue to be optimistic about Bow and not throwing the baby out with the bath water, but he has a poor game.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I finally found the quote and wouldn't you know it.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's literally in the opening statement yesterday from Sean Payton.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: So here's what he said.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: quote, a good team win against a good team.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously a big divisional game playing at home.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: I thought our fans were outstanding.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: It felt loud to me.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I say this respectfully for the first time since I've been here, but really loud.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think that helped.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: So he's saying that not only was that Zack the loudest he's heard it since he's been there, but just kind of the way he laid it out.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I say this respectfully for the first time
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like, okay, whatever, all good.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, guys, you made a difference.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: People that were at the stadium, you made it hard on Patrick Mahomes in the Huddle and Pre-Snap, great job that totally maximizing the home-filled advantage of the thin air and mile high.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, but yeah, bow, turn in the ship around.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was extremely fortuitous.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you that, unsurprisingly, throughout the season, his grades, his MHH grades from Eric Trickle have not been great.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's had a few good games in terms of his grade, but each week in Trickle's Bronco player grades, he lays out a...
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: defensive and an offensive MVP on surprisingly perhaps this year this week the defensive MVP in terms of the highest grade was Jake Juan McMillan 79.2 and then the offensive MVP was none other than Bonyx with the 78.7 so he rebounded yeah it wasn't a perfect performance you could find a
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: it was his second highest grade of the season and it came Zach against a really good defense.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: Gene, what's up, bro?
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, bro?
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: He says, I wasn't in the chat tonight saying we're going to lose, okay, okay.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: So you're just talking to the old man.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: But I have said it before and I stand on it where the best in the NFL from your lips to the football God's years, my friend.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: You are what your record says you are.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_02]: And right now the record says the Broncos are the best team in the NFL or one of them absolutely.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you, Gene.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Colin jumping in, brother, great to see you again tonight.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you, big dog.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like this team thrives on momentum, but the buy would be great for prep and rest.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Plus another feather for bonix if he secures the one sea.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, Zach, it's crazy to see that.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: he has eight fourth quarter comebacks since he's been in the NFL, which is the most by any quarterback in the NFL.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's the most by any quarterback.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: What did I reject?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's the most in a second-year player since 1950.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: So in the Super Bowl era.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right?
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he's already third all time in Broncos and Al's in fourth quarter comebacks behind only
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: L.A. and Mani.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, that's wild.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that'd be definitely another feather in his cap.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: And the buys are going to be great for multiple reasons.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos are very optimistic that they're going to have certain and singleton back.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: Dobbins that ship has sailed for the season unfortunately, but it's also an opportunity Zack to do some very valuable self-scouting, you know,
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think it'll help them kind of figure out their run game with RJ now as as the guy calling jumping in again.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be willing to give VJ a blank check just for continuity while you have the ownership to do it.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: If Sean Peyton wants it, Zach and Ego is not a part of the equation and I don't think it is, honestly, because Zach, if Ego were part of the equation, would Sean Peyton want any of that baggage of VJ in his Denver story.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: bringing him in and all that.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that kind of took some co-honies to bring in a failed head coach from just a couple three, four years ago.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: So like if the owners, if shopping goes to the Walton Penders ownership group and says, hey, look, Vance is going to be a bell of the ball in this hiring cycle.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: We can't let him go.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's my recommendation.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: We do whatever it takes to keep him.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: Do they listen?
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Colin saying here, a 49.9 super, thank you.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: VJs that proven commodity to third rounders are not.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: And with the cap, we'll have next season VJ will have his pick of the litter.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the cap doesn't affect the coaches number one.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: Number two, it's kind of apples and oranges comparing a coach to two potential players in the third round fix.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Although I understand what you're saying here, Colin, I compared it to the situation with Ben Johnson.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, look at the Lions this season.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: They lost both coordinators, Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: And the content, they just haven't looked like the same team.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: So there's something to be said for retaining the coaching staff, the coaching scheme and giving him that blank check like you're talking about.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, you can make an argument for it.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt, I tend to think like you do, colon, like your argument swung me on Saturday.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was, and I even included it in the takeaway's piece at milehotel.com yesterday.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: So credit to you, Big Dog.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how that shakes out.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's an interesting conundrum, and it's a bridge, obviously, that the Broncos will cross when they get to it, and they're still a long road ahead between now and then.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it shakes out and be read by the way, he's he's concurring.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: He says we have to keep BJ.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love how aggressive he is sends the house at the right times puts the DBs on an island because he trusts them.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, again, who's who is doing better as a defensive coordinator in the NFL Zach over the past two years, besides Vance Joseph, like it's hard to point to a guy.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: uh... it brought a ticket just coach the the uh... the grabbing this out of riley moss and teach him to turn his head around a little sooner i'll have is literally zero complaints but that's nitpicky and itself o colon's qualifying what he says uh... he's talking about free agency when he mentioned the cap and what not so saying that they're gonna have the cap space basically next season to wear you know a vj can have the pick of the litter so to speak in terms of maybe having some influence on how that cap
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll see how it shakes out.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: Massey in the house, Australia, how is it that?
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Australia is so huge for Broncos country.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we got Glenn in the house.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's on Facebook.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't gotten to Glenn yet tonight.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get to you Glenn.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: We got Z bow.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: We got so many crucial members of the community from Oz.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: And here's Mossy jumping in.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super chat big dog.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos country, not a geographical location.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's a state of being.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's bow weakness of this team.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: thoughtful emoji.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: Also, rank the Colts Bill's Ravens Pat's chief's playoff wise in terms of threats blocking Denver from making it.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: I know I don't think Bo is a weakness of this team, you know, holding it back, I mean, you can argue that in the face of some of these other teams, Zach, where like bills, I mean, what year is Josh Allen and Lamar, a second year guy in New England, but my homes, et cetera.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: You've got really experienced quarterbacks.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: And then you've got this rising younger crew, led by Bonix, Drake May, et cetera.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's a weakness.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you just mentioned that Bonax has eight game winning drives the the most for a second-year player since 1950.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: How is that a weakness of the team?
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos, I don't think would be in this position if it wasn't for Bonax.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: And if we really had it choose aside, I think the bigger weakness is the coaching and the play calling when it goes off the rails.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: If there had to be weakness, and if it's Bonax versus Peyton, I'm taking Peyton, but that's that's in the side.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: The number one,
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: threat from blocking the Broncos is the cold simply because they have the head to head tiebreaker over them already.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: But at this point, the Broncos are such a sense to get in.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a matter of what seed are they going to get.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: And they're even looking like a shoe into when the AFC West.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_02]: So it comes down to do they have the one seed, the two seed, the three seed, and how do we where do we go from there?
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: But number one, I think the colds would be the biggest threat.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great point, dude.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great point.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: And don't forget the chargers in that equation, because they are two games behind, but so far head to head, if that gap narrows, they hold the tiebreaker, and yet the Broncos could rectify that because they get them one more time before the season's over and it's at home.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you buddy for checking in from Australia.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: Jason parents checking in as well, dude.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Great to see one of our dear members saying good evening on this victory Monday.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: Field position was an under the radar key.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: Three announced were kept at a minimum.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: Also a great game for Pat Bryant.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's early, but he reminds me of Rod Smith.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, really exciting, encouraging nightzack for Bryant, he led the team in receptions with five, went for 82 yards with a long of 48.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: And as far as the third down percentage, offensively, the Broncos went 7 of 15, which is 47%.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: Chiefs went five of 13, which is 38%.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: So the Broncos also held them to one of four in the red zone, which is, of course, 25% maintaining their supremacize act as the NFL's top third down and red zone defense.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and Brian also shook off that concussion.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: That was kind of a scary incident for him, but he returned the play and he looked no worse for where that's two games in a row now that Brian like broke off a big gain or after a reception and I want to definitely definitely see more him after the by week going forward.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you Jason and I thought it was interesting this didn't occur to me upon, you know, the first viewing of the game.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: But Eric today writing up in the grades of Pat Bryant, who was included amongst the positive, he wrote, Bryant has emerged as a reliable receiver who can be counted on in key moments, as all but one of his catches this season have gone for a first down or a touchdown.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: Denver has to find a way to get him a bigger role in the passing game more consistently.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, that one catch that didn't go for a first down or a touchdown happened on that final drive, which was the one screen that went in.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's that's screaming.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: Get me more involved coach.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and I'd like to see him as more also of a downfield threat, not because I think he's the fastest guy we know he's not, but just because he has great body control.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's got great size.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to see him be given Zach a few my ball kind of opportunities.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: 1 billion percent if there's really anyone the balls going to and the blockers receiving core I have the most confidence in faith that Pat Bryant more than anybody else even including Portland Sutton I know it sounds like blasphemy but I know he has the most most confidence in coming down with it so yeah more one on one's more red zone chances more work for Pat Bryant going forward.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, Jason head coach Sean Peyton agrees with you, because he also said that after the game, quote, field position, I felt like we played on their end of the field.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the keys we felt these guys have really all season, the last four weeks had really been flipping the script and playing on the opponent side of the field.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: So the Broncos did a
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: solid job of doing that, and especially against that chief's defense, which is a lot better than maybe some of its numbers reflect as we saw yesterday.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: Ted wonder, look in the house, what's up, bro?
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: Say what's up to your old man, too.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are awesome.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: Ted says in the Sean Peyton VJ era,
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just talked about VGA just has a way of mitigating the opponents biggest weapon and the biggest weapon for the chiefs is Patrick Mahomes is their quarterback and he has just this this method of limiting the damage the Kansas City chiefs can do to you and that's invaluable and that's another argument for giving him that blank check.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great point, man.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for bringing that up, brother, and for the support.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: Dutch has jumped it in again.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: We love you, Michaela.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: She says, Sean Peyton, head coach of the offense.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: Vijay, head coach of the defense.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: They share decisions.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: Is it realistic?
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: But if they were to, like, again, if Peyton went to the Walton Panters and said, guys, we need him here.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: for this vision to come to its fruition.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like even if they go all the way in when the Super Bowl, and you know, we want to keep make this a dynasty, we're going to need BJ.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: If Sean Peyton believes that, and he goes to bat for BJ, they'd have to, and he has offers out there, exactly, they'd basically be paying him like a head coach to keep him, and that wouldn't be the first time that's happened.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: As I mentioned yesterday,
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that happened when Wade Phillips was head coach of the Dallas Cowboys with one of the wealthiest owners in the NFL and Jason Garrett his offense of coordinator was getting a got an offer for the Baltimore Ravens head coaching gig and to keep him Jerry Jones beat the offer as a head coach and it ended up the Garrett Zach was making more than Wade Phillips and Wade Phillips went to Jerry Jones said, hey, I don't think that's right and Jerry Jones is like, well, we had to do what we had to do to keep him blah, blah, blah.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: unprecedented I guess is my point.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: I just I don't know.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe if the head coach wasn't Sean Payton who his ego can fill the room I'm in right now.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they can make that work, but yeah, you're going to either keep him around.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you can bump him up to assistant head coach, even though you have someone in that title already, but I think you're going to either keep him in his current role or let him go to Greer pastors.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: Ralph jumping in again saying, Pat Bryant is the eye popping stand out this week.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: Him and Portland on third down made my blood pressure stabilize LOL.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Portland, too, man.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: He, he made some clutch grabs yesterday and that third and six on the Broncos final possession where he goes backwards for a second.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, no, Portland, no.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: and Nick Bolton tackles him and they had to do the virtual measurement and all that stuff, but he found a way, but arguably, Zach, the more impressive play was earlier on that drive.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: On 3rd and 15, Bonix, By's Time, hits Coral in 20-yard game, like, man, just, you love to see it.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and he made it a good adjustment too on the first, the first, the first pass he were talking about.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: It was an off-target, Nick's throw and Coral and uses his body to adjust.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, when he holds
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: Cody Dobb checkin' in, super star.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: Hope the young families doing well, my friend.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for being a member.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: Says, with week 11 over, I'm still gonna ask.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: Since it's the by week, what should this team be looking for in the draft?
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's an interesting question, Zach.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: What do you see the roster holes?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, for me, I'm think in wide receiver, like a specific kind of wide receiver, a guy who can stretch the field, bring some literal explosion, vertical speed, twitch, all that stuff.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: uh... but what do you what do you have uh... for coding you can make the argument for any position on offense except for quarterback uh... dobbins might not be coming back you need a running back maybe you can use some offensive line depth you could use a receiver like you talked about in a jail in waddle uh... style or maybe it's heightened the the joker with that in the room really hasn't worked out and you can't wait until the seventh round like they did with Caleb loaner to his rest of the position so really anything on offense not named quarterback
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: Scott, here Scott's answer, offensive tackle, tight end, linebacker.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, there's some spots that they could use some bolstering.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Alex Singleton comes back next year because even though they do have cap space, Zach, I think they're in a position where they kind of have to think about his age and the fact that Sternad is also a free agent.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: Sternad by this point, if he continues on the trajectory, he's been, I mean, he led the team and tackles yesterday at Career High 10.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: if you continue on this trajectory, you got to reward him.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to lose him A and B, you got to reward him.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see, linebacker death is going to be an issue moving forward after 25, that is.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: Here's Dragon Slayer 69's that.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, are you funny?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Clot.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's certainly good troll.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: So explain the troll here, though.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then you read this,
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I could pull up the article, but basically when Adam Troutman, again, you can read about it on the website, Adam Troutman was giving a post game interview yesterday, and he was talking about the critics that badmouth Bonix, and he basically called them cowards.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: He echoed with both said that he would never say it to his face, you know, in real life.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: And this is what he said.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'll give the exact quote here because we have the guy in the flesh in the chat.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: We know what we have in the building and we know what he's made of and we don't really care what people have to say So dragon slayer 69 with his seven 11 slurping and his mom's basement.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't give it s what he has to say right and bow doesn't either.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: So again very patrol very funny Well done dude Well done, bro Funny stuff all the way around.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for checking in on super chat bro
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: Always a special occasion when we are graced with the Lady D's presence in the chat with love you.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hope you've been doing well.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see what she has to say.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: Evening Chad Zack Scott and Broncos country, victory Monday.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: I just finished watching the game.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: I was at the airport in Seattle yesterday, so I couldn't watch yesterday.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: Listened on the radio was super happy for the winning
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: totally epic.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're just glad Lady D that we're able to catch you tonight and safe travels.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like and all that.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: So good stuff.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, do you remember that HBO?
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: Not everybody's going to get this reference, but do you guys remember that HBO show entourage, and there's that scene?
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: I forget the character's name in the show, but where he's on the canyon and he gets off the phone and he goes, thank you, God.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: I, that's like a good way of, um, illustrating how Broncos country felt in its soul yesterday.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: Just thank you, God, you know, like that.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: Come on, we got turtle, we got E. We got all right.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: That show was going to originate.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: You were a genuine fan of that show, right?
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: I loved honor, as you have for the first couple of seasons, but this is a football podcast.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much, Deanna, for your support and like Chad said,
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: Be read again, what is this number three tonight, bro?
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: Going off the Texans record before CJ Strahdown injured should prove you have to have a competent quarterback to win games.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just the defense, you know, the number one defense.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: I got to be honest with you Zach, I know this isn't exactly what he's trying to say here, but I've been surprised at how the Texans have been able to
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: in his absence.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: And it's taken him a minute to get out of this concussion protocol.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was thinking the same thing must have been bad.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's turning for him, you know?
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean better safe than sorry.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, it's a brain injury, but Texans impressed me in that game.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: That was one of my biggest takeaways is that they fought with Davis Mills as their quarterback that defense is legit.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I like a lot of what Tameco Ryan is doing out there.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: So that's wishes to CJ
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so they lost to the Broncos, 15, well, 18 to 15, then they beat the Jaguars in a relative shootout and tight one, tight one yesterday against the Titans, but they won.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: So they're now, Davis Mills has them at five and five for what it's worth, so anyway.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know that wasn't exactly your point of B-rad, but yeah, the Broncos,
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: they face some gnarly defenses this year.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, I forgot to say this real quick, Mark Smith.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_01]: We grabbed your comment earlier, but I forgot to thank you, especially, because you threw down some major stars on Facebook and just wanted to give you a special shout out.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: And Zach real quick, as well, from Gene, he's saying, where did it go ahead?
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: Was the, was the 2025 meet and greet the best one of all times, Zach, because the
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, man.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: I love kicking it with you guys.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: Man, you guys were a bunch of fun.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: I look forward to seeing you out there again next year.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe a little sooner if we all could plan something.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: something fun.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what happens in the playoffs.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say that.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it's looking in December for the playoffs.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe we can concoct something, but I'll say, I'll take the one seed just in case we need time to get healthy.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: And by then you could you could probably use it.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so we don't want to look a gift towards in the mouth, even though there have been some unsettling times where the Broncos earn a buy in the wildcard round 2012, 2014,
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: they come out of it in the divisional round and just get pushed around and shocked.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: Let me grab a couple of member comments here.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, we're about 45 minutes in.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: So consider this the two minute warning, so to speak.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: We got some time, but any burning questions, topic, supers, get them in the chat, and we'll get to them before we go.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: But shout out to Dave Glassman, he says, I just rewatched the end of the chiefs and the giants.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: the end of the chiefs and the giants.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay, the way they won the games.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: God, love this winning feeling we're only going to get healthier and welcome back to Lil.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man, props to Jelil for his mental fortitude.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: It would have been easy to get down on himself or lose confidence, lose mojo, but he didn't end, he ended up yesterday as I kind of thought and,
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: theorized he might be the number two back.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, but they did not get a carry.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: RJ Harvey's Zach 11 carries 30 yards, Jaluma, Glawlin, six carries, 19 yards, so a slightly higher yards per carry average, but he also got that touchdown.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: So props to Jalil.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's been overshadowed with the success of Dobbins and RJ Harvey, but there was a legit time last season when the best or most trusted running back on the Broncos roster was McLaughlin.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: So he's always been a dude and I'm happy to see him getting more opportunity now.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: Jake, another deer member, wanna grab this comment and he says, I'm just so used to third and long being just that down before we punt.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard for my brain to comprehend a Broncos team that pulls off a third and 15 when the game is on the line.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you got a bowlie, Jake.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: You got a bowlie, my brother.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I mean, now when the game is on the line, you got to just expect it because it's bonix.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. 4J, let's go Broncos Country, hope everyone's doing well.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's good to see you tonight as well, big dog.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: Colin Sand, I missed Jalil.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: He had fire.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: He did have fire yesterday.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: Pushing, you know, he got some help with that pile push, but he had to keep his legs turning on the goal line Zach and then that play that they whistled dead early.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: If they wouldn't have whistled the dead, he maybe doesn't break it off for a touch now because there were some chiefs closing in on the sector, but he probably ends up picking up the first down and instead they had to punt on that drive.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's super explosive.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of athleticism at the position, a lot of speed.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: I've always been a big fan of his and you wonder why it took this long to make the change from the day, some of the golf ones, but I'm happy we're here now.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: David, it is looking like PS2 is going to be back before the buy and we can expect it unless he there was some kind of a setback we don't know about just because otherwise they would put him on IR and they didn't.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: So he's missed three if you were to miss four games that would have count you know you would count the commander's game.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to be back.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's looking like anyway, alongside possibly, and probably from what it's sounding like, Alex Singleton, pro-16 a dear member every time the Broncos have won the Super Bowl, they've had a two-game losing streak in December.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting, I didn't realize that, but I do recall that 1998 team, they needed the setback.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: They went on that ridiculous winning streak and they needed to kind of be humbled and reminded.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you know, we don't just have it made in the shade.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: And take care of our business, that I agree with what you said earlier.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of, I don't want the Broncos to lose.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_02]: I never want them to lose, but I don't know how I feel about them going into the playoffs, having not lost a game in like 13 weeks or whatever.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_02]: Just on a juju in superstition level alone.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: If they're going to lose one, though, it's like, hey, you know, packers.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see him losing to the commanders, but if it was to one of those two teams relative to conference implications, those are the two you could live with the most.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: To some fill, if we come part of me, if we can come.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: up of a short by we can come off a short by we can play that good.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to see how we play after this full by no doubt about it.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot to be excited about guys in this Broncos team nine and two longest active winning streak in the NFL currently with eight longest home winning streak currently with 11
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: fateful.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: It kind of was.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think in terms of helping the Broncos to grow up.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's one of those things where you go some things happen for a reason and there's a reason why.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: fate had it will that they did not win that game because ever since then they are 14 and 4 in the regular season ever since that loss.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: So Sean Peyton talked about how it was pivotal and you know yesterday was a good opportunity to reflect on it not just because it was the chiefs
- 50:40[SPEAKER_01]: but it ended up being the same field gold distance and the same similar end of the one sequence and all that stuff, it was spooky, it was uncanny.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think it's worth reflecting on how much that loss at Arrowhead really perhaps fueled what this team has become.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: and what they could still be, Chad, because we haven't seen them, I don't think, at true 100%.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about this last fight, even when PS2 was healthy and single-toned everyone, we didn't have Dre Greenlaw for majority of that.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: When everyone gets healthy and everyone's office suspension and everything else, when the Broncos, every single player or the best starting 11 or on the field, it's gonna be a pretty exciting December in January.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Troy Morris on Facebook, finally all the chiefs fans that surround me in Iowa are silent and defeated.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: Talk about glorious silence, love image, awesome dude.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: Real quick, William Shaw, a deer member.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't watched the All 22 yet, do it, footwork wise.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: This is the best game I've seen both play as a pro.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: Someone finally got him to calm down and set his feet.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_01]: He was assassin accurate.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: He really was.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was especially
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: He was awesome.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, that one play in particular on past pro from Adam Prentis, where he picked up the DB on the blitz and just absolutely destroyed him.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's been circulating a little bit on X today too, that he also has had a couple of clutch short runs this season, she had to convert he had a nice reception to convert as well.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: I've been surprisingly happy with the addition of Adam Prentis.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: rock a deer members saying good evening to everybody.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's always great to have rock.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's not an MHH podcast if rocks not in the chat.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: So we love having you big dog.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: Phil said, if you're trying to figure out mark how to do stars.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just find the little star.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the the the path forward.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: But okay, guys, we got a few messages for you that we're going to take one last look at the chat.

- 53:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go, but you're right nine and two this feels surreal Go Broncos
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, guys, Todd, I got to remind you we're just in a testing phase on the new format.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to watch it vertically.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: You can click on to the channel and click the other option.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: There's two streams each night on the same.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: Each stream creates two different, I guess videos on YouTube.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: Click the one that doesn't have the little phone emoji in the headline.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: But we're almost through our little testing phase.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: So Hank, just hang tight, hang in there, buddy.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: And what do you know?
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: What do you know?
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: We got Omar in the house, dude, again.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way,
- 54:27[SPEAKER_01]: I received this today from Omar as a very, very generous gift, Breckenridge, honey flavored.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: All right, awesome.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: And with the vintage Orange Crush Helmet, the throwback.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for that, dude.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: Such a kind kind, I know Zach's got.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_01]: Have you got yours yet, Zach?
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, not yet.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's honestly way to understand from Omar.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: But dude, thank you so much in the note.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: So kind, love you, bud, thank you.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: And Omar says, go Broncos, it's crazy how national coverage still disrespects us.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_01]: It was very happy for McMillan.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get more go Broncos.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_01]: M. H. H. Yeah, by the way.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: So McMillan had two sacks and an interception in one game yesterday right and in so doing he became the first Broncos corner back and only the sixth NFL quarterback or corner back ever since 1989.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_01]: That is to do that.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a rare feet Zach for a DB for let alone a corner to get two sacks and an interception in one game.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was a phenomenal phenomenal performance and
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: Sean Peyton game a game ball.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: He deserves it.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's been quietly, again, in the second dairy PS2 gets all the love, Riley Mosk, it's all the hate.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone forgets about Mac, Jay Mac, and he's one of if not the best slot corner in the NFL.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: I hope Omar of the Broncos show him a bag and keep him around for a very long time, but thank you so much for that generous super.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, you're the man, Omar.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for your support.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_01]: And guys, on the topic of the two different streams, the vertical and the landscape, the way you're used to watching it.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: Hang in there because we're leaning on not doing both options moving forward, but we're just waiting for all the data to come in.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_01]: So just stay patient with us, we appreciate you.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: Shannon Mills jumping in at the 11th hour always great to hear from Shannon who says good evening What a great victory Monday.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: I was that person that DVR all of the sports shows to see every analyst backtrack Go Broncos.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: What has been said Zach?
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: I you're much better at kind of staying on top of some of the National buzz and stuff than not than I am what's been said today that maybe you've heard
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: Some in the National Media continue to push the fact that the Broncos are fraudulent.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mentioned the athletic right earlier, but others like Nick Wright who just had been backed into a corner to the point that they have to admit that the Broncos played good yesterday, that Bowenix played better than Patrick Mahomes and you have to just give it to the Broncos.
