- 0:00SPEAKER_05: The Bitcoin community is together.
- 0:01SPEAKER_05: Like we're building this together.
- 0:02SPEAKER_05: We're together in this space.
- 0:03SPEAKER_05: But the thing that I would tell someone is to be patient.
- 0:07SPEAKER_05: You know, we talk about delayed gratification, we talk about like, you know, one of things right now and these different highs.
- 0:12SPEAKER_05: But I would just say be patient with not only just like holding it, but learning about it.
- 0:16SPEAKER_05: Nobody understands Bitcoin today to hear about it the first time.
- 0:19SPEAKER_05: Even Michael Salem is the biggest Bitcoin.
- 0:21SPEAKER_05: He, you know, was against it at first.
- 0:22SPEAKER_05: You know, it just takes time to like, you know, be able to just see it applications, see why it exists in the first place, see the problems that it solved and the different tools and things that you can use to really become more of a big player.
- 0:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, just be patient and just ask questions.
- 0:44SPEAKER_04: This episode is brought to you by Microseed.
- 0:47SPEAKER_04: Microseep engraves your entire Bitcoin seed phrase onto fireproof, waterproof steel, or titanium.
- 0:53SPEAKER_04: Small enough to fin your palm, strong enough to last a lifetime.
- 0:56SPEAKER_04: It's durable, easy to hide, and built for secure storage.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: If your seed phrase is still on paper, it's time to upgrade and take self-custody to the next level.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Because not your keys, not your coins.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Go to microc.io and use code LUNA, L-U-N-A, for a discount or check the link in the description below.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Welcome back everyone to To the Moon with the Lunas.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Today's Bitcoin price is 63K.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Today we have a really exciting guest.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Tosin is a software engineer and Bitcoin builder who discovered Bitcoin in 2019.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: What started his curiosity quickly turned into conviction and eventually into building tools he wished already existed.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: For example, Compass Bitcoin, which we're excited to deep dive into that today.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: So Tosin, welcome to the show.
- 1:41SPEAKER_05: Sure.
- 1:42SPEAKER_05: Thank you guys for having me.
- 1:42SPEAKER_05: Since you guys kind of started the podcast, you guys have had a lot of my friends on.
- 1:45SPEAKER_05: So I'm really excited to be on here today.
- 1:48SPEAKER_05: That's awesome, Tosin.
- 1:49SPEAKER_04: Thanks for the support.
- 1:50SPEAKER_04: We appreciate that.
- 1:51SPEAKER_04: We appreciate it.
- 1:52SPEAKER_04: We're like new to this space.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: So we're like, do people even like listen to what's going on?
- 1:57SPEAKER_04: You know, and so it's kind of cool to get love and uh good feedback and bad feedback.
- 2:02SPEAKER_04: I'm we're open to all of it, right?
- 2:03SPEAKER_04: We got to get better as well.
- 2:04SPEAKER_04: Again, super pumped up to have you on here.
- 2:06SPEAKER_04: So if you don't mind sharing us, like take us back to 2019, like how did this whole journey into Bitcoin start for you?
- 2:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah, for sure.
- 2:13SPEAKER_05: So I actually have on my college shirt right now during COVID.
- 2:16SPEAKER_05: So I went to college 2018 through 2022.
- 2:20SPEAKER_05: And around like 2019, pre-COVID a little bit, like there was really this like super big trading renaissance where a lot of people were like, you know, trading like stocks, trading Forex and you know, crypto and all a lot of these things where like college students are, you know, broke trying to make money.
- 2:35SPEAKER_05: And I definitely was on the wave of Forex.
- 2:38SPEAKER_05: And one of the things that you had to do for a Forex account was you had to send Bitcoin to like an offshore broker where you'd be able to like trade on your account.
- 2:45SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 2:46SPEAKER_05: And, you know, lo and behold, you know, I'm learning about candlesticks and like training and like, you know, stocks and just a lot of like other things within like the space of like, you know, I guess making money quickly.
- 2:57SPEAKER_05: But there was always something that kind of gravitated me towards Bitcoin because you had to pay for the Bitcoin, and like obviously you can spend like, you know,$50 or$100 and like you know, you're getting Bitcoin back to send back to the offshore broker account.
- 3:09SPEAKER_05: But I always noticed that the price of Bitcoin would like change, even though I'm getting the same amount, like$100, but the the amount would change in terms of like how much it cost.
- 3:17SPEAKER_05: And I was just like, huh.
- 3:18SPEAKER_05: You know, I've been like blowing all my accounts and like, you know, spending money and like trying to get like, you know, essentially gamble.
- 3:24SPEAKER_05: Like, why don't I just buy the Bitcoin and just wait?
- 3:28SPEAKER_05: Um, around this time, Bitcoin was around like$3,000, especially when like COVID, you know, like really hit in March of 2020.
- 3:36SPEAKER_05: And Bitcoin went from$3,000 to$15,000.
- 3:39SPEAKER_05: And when I saw that and I kept it on my Coinbase account, I was like, what is it about this thing?
- 3:44SPEAKER_05: Like, like, this is like a crazy jump.
- 3:47SPEAKER_05: And I like all the money that I really spent on like Forex and all these trading accounts, I could have just held the Bitcoin.
- 3:52SPEAKER_05: So I'm a software engineer, and like one of the things that like, you know, in the classes I took was called ECE 404 is about security.
- 3:58SPEAKER_05: And I talked about encryption and a lot of these other things where like, you know, computer science, you know, Bitcoin kind of tied into a lot of that.
- 4:06SPEAKER_05: And I like started studying it more, started seeing it as the you know a true store of value, started studying the technology and like how it works.
- 4:13SPEAKER_05: And lo and behold, I just like just kept gravitating more towards it.
- 4:18SPEAKER_05: Like there were nights where I just spent just thinking about it and thinking about it.
- 4:21SPEAKER_05: So um, since then, it's been about six years, and I've been a Bitcoin holder since nines.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Wow, that's well, I think that's super cool.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, and that and and being in college and sometimes not everyone's mindsets around that.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I know for us for sure, we were not thinking about investing or any of that.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: And so it's nice to see how you could earn money without having to like get a job and have another, you know, having to do that.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: There's ways online that you could do that, which I think is super cool.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: And your brain was already in that space.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: I feel like for me, my brain wasn't always in the tech world.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I wasn't really thinking about that.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: But you being a software engineer and going to school for that, I think you it's nice because you probably had a group of friends probably thinking similarly, it sounds like, about, you know, their future investing or what's changing in the tech world.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: So I think that's very helpful.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And I wish we would have had that influence for sure too.
- 5:13SPEAKER_04: To add on to that.
- 5:14SPEAKER_04: So Tosin, Gen Z, you're in the mix right now with it.
- 5:18SPEAKER_04: Was all your friends into that too as well, or just you?
- 5:21SPEAKER_04: Because sometimes what I've realized is that a lot of people, especially Gen Zers, some that we've talked to here on our podcast and on X, like a lot of people are not even into that.
- 5:30SPEAKER_04: Right now it's sports betting, meme coins, right?
- 5:32SPEAKER_04: It's all of these different ways to just kind of like get a quick buck.
- 5:35SPEAKER_04: So, how's that journey been with you?
- 5:37SPEAKER_04: Do you feel like you've been lonely on this journey with your age, or do you feel like you have a good group of friends, a core where you're like, hey, we're all like, you know, swapping and chit-chatting about this type of stuff?
- 5:46SPEAKER_05: This is a really good question.
- 5:47SPEAKER_05: I have a lot of friends who want to be successful, you know, whether that be like, you know, through their career, through investing in like retirement accounts, you know, options trading and more.
- 5:55SPEAKER_05: None of them have really been into like Bitcoin specifically.
- 5:58SPEAKER_05: Some of them will like look into like different altcoins, and I always try to tell them, yo, just focus on this specific cryptocurrency called Bitcoin.
- 6:05SPEAKER_05: Don't worry about Ethereum, don't worry about XRP.
- 6:07SPEAKER_05: Like, just focus on this specific one.
- 6:09SPEAKER_05: And I haven't really had much luck being able to not necessarily persuade them, but like, you know, kind of show them the like because you know they may not be interested in it.
- 6:16SPEAKER_05: Um, but I think it is important for especially Gen Zers to surround themselves with at least people who are looking towards financial freedom and like being able to really put their money to work for them rather than having to chase money themselves.
- 6:27SPEAKER_05: I definitely have a lot of friends who are, like I mentioned, like, you know, career driven and you know, working on different aspects of their lives and financially.
- 6:34SPEAKER_05: But the place where I met a most of like the Bitcoiner community is through X.
- 6:38SPEAKER_05: And you know, you've had like a lot of my friends in the podcast, like Sean and Jamie and some others.
- 6:43SPEAKER_05: So that's where I've really found my niche.
- 6:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:45SPEAKER_04: No, that's really good.
- 6:46SPEAKER_04: That's where I found mine too.
- 6:48SPEAKER_04: Everybody in real life, they're like, uh, don't talk to me, uh, don't bring that up.
- 6:53SPEAKER_04: And then if not, I can like feel it.
- 6:54SPEAKER_04: They're like, we know you have a podcast, but you know, and I'm like, yeah, well, how's your weekend going?
- 7:00SPEAKER_04: Football's back, right?
- 7:01SPEAKER_04: You know, so no, I get it, man.
- 7:03SPEAKER_04: That's great in sharing that because I'm always like, I honestly think Gen Zers, they're the ones that are actually gonna turn the corner and be like, enough is enough.
- 7:10SPEAKER_04: Because you guys grown up in just technology, right?
- 7:13SPEAKER_04: Everything is technology based, but our money is still like old, right?
- 7:17SPEAKER_04: It's like this fiat, this old system.
- 7:19SPEAKER_04: But I honestly think that you guys would be like, hey, enough is enough because you guys are gonna get the worst of it, right?
- 7:23SPEAKER_04: The grunt of it, like of, hey, what's going on here?
- 7:26SPEAKER_04: Like, like, how come nobody can buy a house?
- 7:28SPEAKER_04: Like, it's not normal that everyone's like 40 plus years old buying a house.
- 7:32SPEAKER_04: Something needs to switch, right?
- 7:33SPEAKER_04: This thing isn't called money, it's not money.
- 7:35SPEAKER_04: And I I really think that you guys are gonna be the ones that are like enough is enough and just draw the line in the sand.
- 7:40SPEAKER_04: But I know, you know, with you turning into Bitcoin, turning into conviction, going through your journey, where did you start?
- 7:48SPEAKER_04: We're like, hey, I need to start building in this space.
- 7:51SPEAKER_04: Where did that thought process come from?
- 7:54SPEAKER_05: Most definitely.
- 7:54SPEAKER_05: And it actually came from me not being able to like show my friends about Bitcoin.
- 7:58SPEAKER_05: One of the things that I thought like was an issue within the space was people hear Bitcoin and think about it like either as a number or like just like some like scam or pyramid or whatever the case may be.
- 8:09SPEAKER_05: And I took it upon myself to say, like, okay, how can I teach people in an engaging way where they'll not be as opposed to it?
- 8:18SPEAKER_05: You know, they'll have an open mindset towards like actually like, you know, looking towards it.
- 8:22SPEAKER_05: And this is where I came up with the idea to create this um this app.
- 8:25SPEAKER_05: I actually have another mobile app called Odyssey.
- 8:27SPEAKER_05: And Odyssey is inspired by, I'm not sure if you guys have like been able to see it, you know, it's been a year since I did it, but Odyssey is inspired by Michael Saylor, and it's essentially the duolingo of Bitcoin, whereas like you're gonna be playing like 10 different quests and like exploring, like, you know, from inception, like what is money?
- 8:41SPEAKER_05: Like you, what are the six properties of money?
- 8:43SPEAKER_05: Like what is this thing?
- 8:44SPEAKER_05: Because you need to understand, before you understand the why, you need to understand the what.
- 8:48SPEAKER_05: Like, what is money?
- 8:49SPEAKER_05: And then you can start asking questions based off that and like what are the issues with money.
- 8:52SPEAKER_05: And then that brings you then to Bitcoin, where you can like you know, really engage yourself and kind of like see in like a fun, interactive way, where you know, Gen Z is kind of like we've really shifted towards like short form content.
- 9:03SPEAKER_05: And I feel like that's what keeps people engage on, you know, sometimes.
- 9:06SPEAKER_05: Um and I wanted to, you know, be able to build something.
- 9:09SPEAKER_05: As I mentioned, I'm a software engineer, so like, you know, why not use like my God-given talents to be able to like add to the world, especially if this is gonna be something that helps people be able to afford houses in the future, be able to like, you know, send their kids to college and not have to worry about whether they have to clock into work and some other aspects of life too.
- 9:25SPEAKER_05: So yeah, and it's just saying I've just you know continue to keep building and hopefully compass is gonna be something that really takes off soon.
- 9:31SPEAKER_05: That's amazing.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: You started Odyssey or you built that last year?
- 9:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's still public on the F Store, um both uh Apple F Store and Google Play.
- 9:41SPEAKER_05: I started in August 2025.
- 9:43SPEAKER_05: I think I scaled it up to about 200 plus users, and uh I got really, really good feedback on it.
- 9:49SPEAKER_05: You know, people were playing the games, they were able to like, you know, share with other friends and everything else.
- 9:53SPEAKER_05: And yeah.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm gonna need to look I'm gonna need to look into that because I feel like still those are great questions to review, you know, like because when you're having conversations with your family or you know, friends that you haven't seen in a while, you're like, yeah, we're really like we're doing this Bitcoin podcast, and like, what's Bitcoin?
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Or like, why are you doing that?
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: And so just to have like um like kind of a tool belt ready for like any questions that are coming up, I feel like that's super helpful.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: And then so to switch on to that, then you started Compass.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: So do you want to kind of share a little bit more about Compass and like kind of what the idea is behind it?
- 10:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 10:32SPEAKER_05: And this is hopefully where I get into like the demo and everything as well.
- 10:35SPEAKER_05: So I help helped set up uh Anthony on it uh like a couple nights ago.
- 10:39SPEAKER_05: So but essentially when it comes to compass, what I wanted to do was I wanted to give not only just Bitcoiners, but everyone a better understanding of like what their money is really priced in, which should be Bitcoin.
- 10:54SPEAKER_05: Because like when you can see that the government, there's no really end date on when they'll stop printing money.
- 10:58SPEAKER_05: So like seeing that money continue to get inflated, like you may think that you're getting a lot more money, but then when you base it against inflation, you're not really getting the right visual representation of like what that money is, is what I felt like when I was using apps like Rocket Money and Monarch, you know.
- 11:13SPEAKER_05: And I felt like there was a problem in that space, whereas I like to view my life on a Bitcoin standard.
- 11:18SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 11:18SPEAKER_05: And what gave me the idea for this was like I looked through my Rocket Money mechanic and I was like looking at my um, I call it wasteful spending.
- 11:27SPEAKER_05: Like I'm still 26, you know, sometimes I like to have fun, like sometimes I go out with my friends and everything.
- 11:31SPEAKER_05: And I say you shouldn't do these things, but like when you start looking and seeing, like, okay, instead of me saying that I've spent, let's say, a thousand dollars this year going to the bar or like going out with friends, this is really 0.5 Bitcoin.
- 11:45SPEAKER_05: This is 0.1 Bitcoin.
- 11:46SPEAKER_05: And when you start having that cognitive understanding and say, wait, you mean just tell me I spent 0.1 Bitcoin on just like drinks when this could have been worth like, I don't know, drinks plus a car in the future?
- 11:57SPEAKER_05: Like, you have to start having that understanding whereas like there's no other app that's gonna be able to show you what that cost basis really is.
- 12:05SPEAKER_05: And this is where I had the idea to come up with Compass to like be able to really allow people to like reflect on their spending and be able to see them priced on a Bitcoin standard.
- 12:14SPEAKER_05: Whereas, like, you know, this is what my net worth is priced in Bitcoin.
- 12:17SPEAKER_05: This is what this much, you know, food or groceries cost in Bitcoin, how much am I spending on a you know daily basis?
- 12:23SPEAKER_05: There are apps like um, you know, Shrike and River that allow you to live on Bitcoin standard or it's like paying bills, but like there's nothing that really shows you how to like really break down your spending on a Bitcoin standard.
- 12:32SPEAKER_05: And this is what I feel like Compass is gonna be able to do.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: That's gonna be great.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Well, it's gonna combine the financial literacy aspect of the basics of budget, right?
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: But then also if you're trying to understand Bitcoin more or investing in Bitcoin or saving in Bitcoin, you'll see it through a different lens.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: And I think that this is gonna be super cool and even helpful for us because when we're doing, we have budget meetings every month and we have to talk about what we're spending our money on.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: And, you know, yeah, some months are a little more spendy, and then some are, you know, we're on track.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: And so it'd be really great to see how we could have allocated those funds differently or used them differently or steward them, I like to say, differently, you know, so that way we can move our family forward.
- 13:16SPEAKER_04: Well, it's cool because see, like nobody budgets.
- 13:18SPEAKER_04: Like when you talk to people, most people don't budget.
- 13:20SPEAKER_04: And this is like 101 for your money.
- 13:22SPEAKER_04: And so once you get this like really switches on your brain, and then you look at it through a different lens with the through the Bitcoin, because most people they'll spend their money, spend their money, and then oh, whatever I have left over, I'll invest.
- 13:33SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 13:34SPEAKER_04: This is like this forces you to like, okay, let me put this away right away, and then everything will get trickled down and budgeted and itemized properly to like what's important, what's significant, and what's not.
- 13:47SPEAKER_04: Um, so no, I'm really pumped up on there.
- 13:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you got me access a couple of days ago.
- 13:51SPEAKER_04: I went on it today a little bit just to mess with it.
- 13:53SPEAKER_04: And uh, you know, it's really good.
- 13:55SPEAKER_04: I really like it's super user-friendly.
- 13:57SPEAKER_04: There was a couple of questions on there, but I know you're probably answering because I just want you to like kind of like share with everybody and walk us through this because I think it's such a really cool tool.
- 14:05SPEAKER_04: And again, I it's something where I think people will adopt and use the more and more that Bitcoin adoption happens as well.
- 14:13SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be like parallel, it's gonna run parallel together.
- 14:16SPEAKER_04: So, yeah, if you don't mind sharing or doing your thing and let us know until I said, This I'm excited.
- 14:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so let me share my screen.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Perfect, I think.
- 14:28SPEAKER_05: Um, so I'm gonna actually walk you guys through the entire process of like setting up an account on Compass and how we're gonna use it.
- 14:36SPEAKER_05: And hopefully I'll be able to answer some of your questions, right?
- 14:38SPEAKER_05: So this is Compass.
- 14:39SPEAKER_05: In the next few minutes, we'll be able to build a picture of your financial life in Bitcoin, sir.
- 14:43SPEAKER_05: So we're just gonna build our account.
- 14:44SPEAKER_05: Um, let's just use the name Satoshi for now.
- 14:49SPEAKER_05: Um, so what brought me to Compass?
- 14:51SPEAKER_05: Let's just say I want to live on a Bitcoin standard.
- 14:53SPEAKER_05: I want to be able to stack more Bitcoin and really honestly all of the boss, right?
- 14:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's what I do.
- 15:00SPEAKER_05: I got into Bitcoin around like uh 2020, whenever from 3,000 to like I think like 60,000 by the end of 2021.
- 15:07SPEAKER_05: So we're gonna go with this.
- 15:08SPEAKER_05: And like you say, we know the cycle.
- 15:10SPEAKER_05: We know that you know we're at a bear market right now, but you know, that's not gonna last for long.
- 15:14SPEAKER_05: Um, what is Bitcoin to you?
- 15:15SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna say it's a long-term savings tool.
- 15:18SPEAKER_05: Just gonna fill out some of these.
- 15:20SPEAKER_05: And this is just like we know because data to like, you know, get a sense of like who you are and like things like this.
- 15:24SPEAKER_05: So I live in a hardware wallet, I have a base in USD.
- 15:30SPEAKER_05: And this is where like important to like kind of see too.
- 15:33SPEAKER_05: Everyone has a leak.
- 15:34SPEAKER_05: Um, you guys are parents, like I don't know like what your leak may be, whether it'd be, you know, I can kind of say like mine may be like sometimes like eating out too much.
- 15:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 15:42SPEAKER_05: And I feel like again, like sometimes like going out with friends, like I feel like I have been like, you know, leaking money that I shouldn't be.
- 15:48SPEAKER_05: So it'll help you like kind of keep track of like the leaks and be able to like really see it in Bitcoin terms.
- 15:53SPEAKER_05: Because like when you look back and see in like 2020 that I spent one Bitcoin on something I should have spent one Bitcoin on, you start to realize that okay, let me make the decisions in real time so I can prevent that regret in the future.
- 16:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:05SPEAKER_05: So let's say what my Bitcoin target is.
- 16:07SPEAKER_05: Let's say I'm my goal is to stack up four Bitcoin, just say four Bitcoin, right?
- 16:12SPEAKER_05: Or you can, if you wanted to like, you know, plan for like a vacation or like a house or down payment or whatever the case may be, you can do that as well too.
- 16:18SPEAKER_05: But that's just that case.
- 16:19SPEAKER_05: So I'm a male who is 26.
- 16:23SPEAKER_05: And here we can get notifications as well.
- 16:26SPEAKER_05: And how to find out about compass.
- 16:28SPEAKER_05: Uh, I told myself about it.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:31SPEAKER_05: Uh now we can see our we get to this paywall, right?
- 16:34SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 16:35SPEAKER_05: So the cool thing too that you mentioned about like bringing adoption, we need to start allowing people to purchase things in Bitcoin, right?
- 16:42SPEAKER_05: You you know, yeah.
- 16:51SPEAKER_05: And we want to be able to show people that like it's not only just something you just hold and it's a number that goes up.
- 16:56SPEAKER_05: You can actually transact it, you can hold it, you can do whatever it's supposed to be.
- 16:59SPEAKER_05: That's what money is supposed to be.
- 17:00SPEAKER_05: It's supposed to be a real store of value and something that you can also use as a medium of exchange, right?
- 17:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:05SPEAKER_05: So now that I've like set up my account, I can now pay in Bitcoin.
- 17:09SPEAKER_05: And just for everyone else to know, this is only$60 lifetime.
- 17:12SPEAKER_05: You know, I don't really plan on changing the price, but like for the rest of time, it will be a lifetime subscription where you keep it forever, you get all the upgrades and everything else, and you know, continue to like, you know, improve it.
- 17:23SPEAKER_05: So I'm just gonna choose to pay in Bitcoin.
- 17:27SPEAKER_05: It'll start with an invoice, and I have my phone here, and I'm gonna show you guys that I have River downloaded.
- 17:34SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna show you guys paying for it in Bitcoin.
- 17:38SPEAKER_05: Nice.
- 17:38SPEAKER_05: So this is I don't know if you guys can see.
- 17:41SPEAKER_05: So I'm about to We use River too.
- 17:44SPEAKER_04: I love River.
- 17:45SPEAKER_04: We swapped over from Swan after they got rid of.
- 17:48SPEAKER_04: I don't know if you were around Tosen when Swan had like the 10,000 first free Bitcoin, and then after that, the P I think I was like 10,000 maxed out, and then went over to River because River had better P's after that.
- 18:00SPEAKER_04: So I was like, all right, I switched over Swan's great though.
- 18:02SPEAKER_05: River and Strike are really good.
- 18:04SPEAKER_05: Swan is really good too, yeah.
- 18:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so I'm about to pay for this in Bitcoin.
- 18:07SPEAKER_04: All right, so use my QR code.
- 18:09SPEAKER_04: Dude, I love this live action.
- 18:10SPEAKER_04: I know it's so good.
- 18:14SPEAKER_05: And it is$60, so this is 0.009 Bitcoin.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: And just have to approve it.
- 18:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's one thing, Tosin, from that what we learned.
- 18:27SPEAKER_04: Nice, it got went through super quick and easy.
- 18:30SPEAKER_04: That's one thing that I've learned too is from this podcast, is literally, I was I'm gonna admit, I was hold all day, hold on for dear life, don't sell your Bitcoin, nothing.
- 18:41SPEAKER_04: But then the more people that we've had on here from Bitcoiners in the you know, just different spaces, man, how do you add adoption?
- 18:47SPEAKER_04: You spend your Bitcoin, you start asking people, do you accept Bitcoin?
- 18:52SPEAKER_04: And then you're like, man, wheels are turning and things are moving.
- 18:56SPEAKER_05: But go ahead.
- 18:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 18:58SPEAKER_05: And this is what I like, you know, Square does a lot of and you know, other companies that are trying to really drive adoption.
- 19:04SPEAKER_05: This is how we do it.
- 19:05SPEAKER_05: We start allowing people to like, you know, pay for things in Bitcoin, being able to price things in Bitcoin.
- 19:09SPEAKER_05: That's important.
- 19:10unknown: Yeah.
- 19:11SPEAKER_05: So with that being said, after you purchase a subscription, it's only$60 and you get it for a lifetime.
- 19:16SPEAKER_05: You can either put in your public key or you can answer it manually, right?
- 19:20SPEAKER_05: We will never ask you for your private key.
- 19:23SPEAKER_05: There's a phrase that's that goes, you should never enter private key and keyboard should never be in the same sentence, right?
- 19:30SPEAKER_05: We only want you to, if you want to be able to like, you know, track it live with your public key, your public address, that's okay.
- 19:36SPEAKER_05: Um, but if you want to be able to either have protection and your privacy of like answering it manually, that's fine too, right?
- 19:41SPEAKER_05: So in this case, let's just say I have 1.5 Bitcoin and my goal is to stack up four, right?
- 19:46SPEAKER_05: And I have my Bitcoin.
- 19:48SPEAKER_05: So this is how much it's worth today,$94,000.
- 19:51SPEAKER_05: And like this will always like you know fluctuate over time.
- 19:54SPEAKER_05: Be able to see that.
- 19:55SPEAKER_05: So a lot of people sometimes like see things in SAS or Bitcoin.
- 19:59SPEAKER_05: You can either see it, you know, in this view or this view.
- 20:02SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna use BTC because I prefer BTC, but other people can use SAS as well.
- 20:05SPEAKER_05: And we can actually do an example with that as well, too.
- 20:08SPEAKER_05: Okay, so the next thing you can do is you can add your accounts, right?
- 20:12SPEAKER_05: And again, you can hopefully in the future, I hope to plan, you know, to add it with um Plaid where you can have your accounts like securely connected through them.
- 20:19SPEAKER_05: But like for now, if you just want to be able to just add like maybe like rough balances of like what your accounts may be, you can add your savings account.
- 20:26SPEAKER_05: Let's just say I have um$15,000 in emergency savings.
- 20:33SPEAKER_05: I can say that I own a house and the house is worth let's say$100,000.
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: That's$100,000.
- 20:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah,$100,000.
- 20:44SPEAKER_05: And then let's say my checking account is let's say$5,000.
- 20:50SPEAKER_05: So my net worth right now is$120,000, essentially, right?
- 20:54SPEAKER_05: I can continue.
- 20:55SPEAKER_05: I can see my net worth, I can see how much Bitcoin I have and my goal and everything.
- 20:59SPEAKER_05: I can continue.
- 21:01SPEAKER_05: All right, so you're in Satoshi.
- 21:03SPEAKER_05: Now let's go to the dashboard and see like what it looks like.
- 21:07SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 21:08SPEAKER_05: So here you get a great view of like just everything that you need to see.
- 21:13SPEAKER_05: You get to see the Bitcoin price, you get to see your net worth, you get to see like you know, the allocation of and again, this is really for anyone, but I feel like Bitcoiners are gonna like this more because you can see the distribution of your Bitcoin compared to everything else, right?
- 21:25SPEAKER_05: So me, me personally, I'm a Bitcoiner who has about like maybe like 70% allocation of like my net worth in Bitcoin, but you know, everyone has their you know their vice and like how they want to like you know go through things, right?
- 21:37SPEAKER_05: So as you can see dashboard, you can see net worth again, Bitcoin price.
- 21:42SPEAKER_05: I can see like how much it's worth in Bitcoin, I can see my net worth worth because you want to.
- 21:46SPEAKER_05: But now the most important part as we talk about is spending.
- 21:50SPEAKER_05: I need to start mentally being able to see my spending price in Bitcoin.
- 21:54SPEAKER_05: And this is one we'll go to the spending page, and we'll come here and set up eventually you'll be able to connect the bank as Mentioned but let's just say I want to add a transaction, right?
- 22:03SPEAKER_05: I went out to get food.
- 22:07SPEAKER_05: Let's say I went to go get tacos for and so real quick, real quick, real quick.
- 22:12SPEAKER_04: So with banking, right?
- 22:13SPEAKER_04: So when you add your bank, what's going on when you're adding your bank?
- 22:17SPEAKER_04: Are you seeing where the transactions, everything you do?
- 22:20SPEAKER_04: Is that why you're adding your bank?
- 22:21SPEAKER_04: So, like, for example, I open up my bank app, right?
- 22:24SPEAKER_04: Uh, schools first.
- 22:25SPEAKER_04: And so all my transactions from this week, uh, all of them that I did, is it just transferring over into this?
- 22:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they'll automatically be synced, and everything again, since it's via plied, will be all encrypted.
- 22:35SPEAKER_05: So I will never be able to see the data.
- 22:36SPEAKER_05: No one else can intercept the data.
- 22:38SPEAKER_05: Everything is all like safe and encrypted, right?
- 22:40SPEAKER_05: The one thing I will mention too is if like you don't want to have your data connected to the internet, I also have the desktop app, which is like most secure because everything is saved locally on your computer in that case, right?
- 22:51SPEAKER_05: So if you also want to be able to have, I have in the compass app as well.
- 22:56SPEAKER_05: Show you guys real quick.
- 22:57SPEAKER_05: So I have the compass app.
- 22:59SPEAKER_05: I don't know if you guys can see it, but yeah, you want to be yeah, if you want to be able to access it on like, you know, any device or anywhere in the world, like you would have to, you know, make an account on the website.
- 23:09SPEAKER_05: But if you want to be able to just have it on your computer in like the most secure way possible, you can just download the desktop app and you'll be able to like you know see through that too.
- 23:17SPEAKER_05: Okay, okay.
- 23:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 23:20SPEAKER_05: So the one thing I will kind of mention first, and then we can get into like maybe any questions you have is like let's see what it looks like to now like see our income in our expenses priced in Bitcoin, right?
- 23:31SPEAKER_05: So the one thing I'm gonna do, so let's say today I spent$15 on tacos, right?
- 23:38SPEAKER_05: This is only, and I should actually use, let's actually switch to stats so we can see this a little bit better, right?
- 23:42SPEAKER_05: And we again we can come to settings and like switch it to stats if we want to.
- 23:46SPEAKER_05: Let's come here, and then let's say we bought$15 worth of tacos.
- 23:53SPEAKER_05: This was to Taco Bell, and this was just food.
- 23:57SPEAKER_05: You can also categorize it.
- 23:59SPEAKER_05: One of the things that I like in Rocket Millie that I wanted to bring over to this one is I wanted to be able to like categorize my spending, whether it be Bitcoin, a necessary purchase, whether that be a medical bill, school, any bills unnecessary, discretionary, which is like things like fun, which is like going to the movies, eating out, you know, things like that.
- 24:14SPEAKER_05: And then there's also wasteful, whereas like, you know, everyone has like that wasteful, like, you know, I have friends who babe, I have friends who buy other things that they want to like, you know, stop habit of.
- 24:25SPEAKER_05: And like you can categorize that as wasteful.
- 24:27SPEAKER_05: And like when you start seeing it as, you know, you spent this much on wasteful spending, again, it's probably gonna like change your dynamic with that spending again.
- 24:34SPEAKER_05: So in this case, the taco bill is necessary.
- 24:37SPEAKER_05: I'm just gonna say this was dining, and I'll say that transaction.
- 24:42SPEAKER_05: Right?
- 24:42SPEAKER_05: So now we can start seeing like our our our uh dashboard being built here too, right?
- 24:46SPEAKER_05: So this fund I spent 23,000 sats on a taco bill.
- 24:50SPEAKER_05: Let's say another let's let's say another transaction.
- 24:53SPEAKER_05: And let's say I spent um let's say ten dollars on a vape.
- 25:00SPEAKER_05: Let's just say a vape.
- 25:02SPEAKER_05: This was wasteful, and we'll say this is we can categorize it as something.
- 25:07SPEAKER_05: You can just say it's right here.
- 25:09SPEAKER_05: So we'll just say other.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna say I bought this, let's say last week.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: I can also change the date here as well, too, right?
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: Say the transaction.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: Okay, so now I can see my wasteful spending.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: And then let's just say our income.
- 25:25SPEAKER_05: Let's say I made$2,000 this month from um who do I work for?
- 25:32SPEAKER_05: Let's say when a podcast paid me a thousand dollars, hopefully.
- 25:36SPEAKER_05: Um salary, I say this transaction, and now I can also see that I pay I was paid three million sets this month, right?
- 25:44SPEAKER_05: So here again, we can start seeing our distribution of like things that you know we want to like, you know, get rid of.
- 25:50SPEAKER_05: And I'll I'll go back in time as well, too, and save time for questions right now.
- 25:54SPEAKER_05: But you can see the distribution and like you know the separation, you can see everything priced in Bitcoin.
- 25:58SPEAKER_05: So now you can start saying, okay, that vape isn't just ten dollars, it's fifteen thousand sets.
- 26:03SPEAKER_05: You know, how much could this have bought in the not even just a year from now, even like months from now, you know, let's say Bitcoin depreciates towards$80,000 in like October.
- 26:12SPEAKER_05: Like now I'm starting to see, oh wait, that really could have worth$20 something dollars, you know, or something more.
- 26:17SPEAKER_05: And I'm just like, wow, I spent that on a vape.
- 26:20SPEAKER_05: You're gonna start having that conviction in your mind where it's like, ah, I need to, you know, slow down a little bit.
- 26:24SPEAKER_05: You say now for like any questions you guys have.
- 26:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, real quick, something that pops up.
- 26:28SPEAKER_04: David, do you have any questions there?
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: I don't have any questions.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: It just reminds me of the app that we use for our budgeting.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Like it's really it's awesome because we use, we like to, I mean, obviously we talk about things, write things down, but we also use an app to help us kind of organize our spending.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: And this is awesome.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: Cause I feel like even for me, as I'm still, I feel like I've obviously learned a lot, but it's great to see how it coincides and how that spending could have gone towards your Bitcoin, you know, and you you saving into your Bitcoin.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: I love this.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: This is really cool.
- 27:00SPEAKER_04: Tocin, so with so, say for example, like uh talk about NVAPE, right?
- 27:04SPEAKER_04: And then other items that add up as unnecessary and wasteful.
- 27:08SPEAKER_04: Does it tell you?
- 27:08SPEAKER_04: Do you have something where it tells you like at the end of the month, hey, a total in SAS was this much?
- 27:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 27:16SPEAKER_05: Like this is this right here, where you can see it like here, and you can also like share this with your friends as well.
- 27:21SPEAKER_05: So you can see directly here, we can also see the percentages of like how much it made up of your spending too.
- 27:26SPEAKER_05: Every week I posted on Twitter like what my spending was, and I'm very open too.
- 27:29SPEAKER_05: Like, hopefully, I'm gonna be able to like grow in public and show you guys like how I'm changing my spending as a Bitcoiner.
- 27:35SPEAKER_05: You know, like again, I went out with the to the bar with my friends and I spent like more money on groceries this this week than I did, like, you know, on I spent more money at the bar this week than I did on groceries.
- 27:45SPEAKER_05: That's not a good thing.
- 27:46SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and that's something that I need to like understand on my mind, like to start seeing, and especially like even somebody commented on that.
- 27:50SPEAKER_05: They were like, oh, you spend this more money on like groceries or this much money at the bar than on groceries.
- 27:55SPEAKER_05: Like, that's something I need to like start like having in my mind, and I start seeing, wow, I really cost myself 0.02 Bitcoin because you know I've spent more than I should have.
- 28:04SPEAKER_05: It helps me start having that budgeting conviction in my mind predestined before I even make the purchase in general.
- 28:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's so good.
- 28:12SPEAKER_04: You know what?
- 28:13SPEAKER_04: I should get familiar with this, and then I should start posting mine with yours to say and I can just see you like, and for me, I'll just call myself out and like take a look at it and then be like, oh wow, like hey Dan, like we need to shop too and Dan.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: Stop asking me to pick up food for dinner.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: No, but I really think this is awesome, and I love how it's categorized because that's how we categorize our finances too.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: It's like not necessarily wasteful, but we'll put our dining, we do our personal budget, right?
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: Some we give each other a budget where like we can use it on the things that we want to, you know, if we want to buy clothes or whatever.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: So I think being able to see how it's going to affect the savings into your Bitcoin is gonna be super helpful for anyone wanting to come into this space.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: And I especially think it's really helpful for couples who are trying to get on the same page, right?
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: Of wanting to see how like they're utilizing their finances.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, for me, this from our perspective, I think it's gonna be a really helpful tool because, like we said, we use an app to help us.
- 29:20SPEAKER_04: But we can just use this now.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Now we could just use this because we can like we're all Bitcoin focused anyway.
- 29:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and so this is a Bitcoin focused tool.
- 29:28SPEAKER_04: And why not just convert it?
- 29:29SPEAKER_04: We're already doing it, just use this one.
- 29:31SPEAKER_04: And you can never see any of this, Tosin.
- 29:34SPEAKER_04: You can never see anyone else's account or anything like that.
- 29:36SPEAKER_05: No, everything is all encrypted.
- 29:37SPEAKER_05: And if you want the the most, and also everything is open source as well, too.
- 29:41SPEAKER_05: I've made it uh source verifiable, so everything is like, you know, the code that goes into this is on GitHub, so like everything is free.
- 29:47SPEAKER_05: Um, I do offer the license subscription, you know, just for me to be able to like, you know, you know, make money to be able to like, you know, pour into it and like you know, make it even better and you know, give feedback as well, too.
- 29:56SPEAKER_05: Because like when you have something that's like paid, it makes more of an incentive for the user to use it versus just like you know, using it as something that's just like free, you know.
- 30:05SPEAKER_04: 100%, 100%.
- 30:07SPEAKER_04: And then just to clarify, so the bank, connecting your bank to it, is just to only show you it already itemizes it for you.
- 30:13SPEAKER_04: Is that correct?
- 30:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and that's so like me having to like, you know, some people do prefer like doing everything manually.
- 30:19SPEAKER_05: Me personally, like I have a lot of like automatic payments and like you know, a lot of other things too, where it's like having to do this at the end of every week, I may have to like you know, go through like 50 transactions, like you know, just having your bank connected is a lot easier and you know, quicker to be able to like you know see everything.
- 30:34SPEAKER_05: But again, you don't have to do that.
- 30:35SPEAKER_05: That's just an option, you know.
- 30:37SPEAKER_05: People sometimes like prefer to just be able to just see their network here too, right?
- 30:40SPEAKER_05: And they would just prefer like you know, just being able to have have this and just being able to like see what it is priced in Bitcoin.
- 30:46SPEAKER_05: But again, if you want to connect your bank, it'll just you know make it quicker.
- 30:49SPEAKER_05: But there's nothing wrong with you know just manually having a drag transaction if you need to.
- 30:53SPEAKER_04: Got it.
- 30:54SPEAKER_04: Okay, okay.
- 30:55SPEAKER_05: I do want to show you guys like two more things as well, too.
- 30:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, please do when it comes to when it comes to like understanding your life price in Bitcoin, right?
- 31:03SPEAKER_05: So we saw here we spent$15 on August 15, 2026 on Taco Bell, right?
- 31:10SPEAKER_05: So this is worth 23,000 sets, right?
- 31:13SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 31:14SPEAKER_05: Let's say we make that same purchase in 2022.
- 31:17SPEAKER_05: In 2022, Bitcoin was around$15,000, right?
- 31:21SPEAKER_05: We say now that Bitcoin is at$63,000, like, oh, it's down from$126,000.
- 31:27SPEAKER_05: But we kind of forget sometimes like how much your life got cheaper if you would have just like helped the Bitcoin.
- 31:32SPEAKER_05: Just because it's down from the all-time high doesn't mean it's not up from you know what I'm saying?
- 31:36SPEAKER_05: So like let's say we spent that same$15 on Taco Bell.
- 31:41SPEAKER_05: This is gonna be so good.
- 31:43SPEAKER_05: And I'm gonna say we bought this in 2022.
- 31:46SPEAKER_05: Let's say I think it was around like November when I was at like its lower time.
- 31:50SPEAKER_05: So let's just say the 15th of November.
- 31:52SPEAKER_05: So this is necessary, and then we'll also say this is dining.
- 31:55SPEAKER_05: And again, you have a bunch of like different like categories where you can like you know go through and see them.
- 32:00SPEAKER_05: So I just added that transaction.
- 32:03SPEAKER_05: Right?
- 32:04SPEAKER_05: It takes a second so it can see it.
- 32:06SPEAKER_05: So let's go to customize, right?
- 32:08SPEAKER_05: Let's go from 2022 say May to today, right?
- 32:18SPEAKER_05: The Taco Bell that I spent in 2022 was worth 88,000 sacks.
- 32:25SPEAKER_05: The taco bell that I spent today on August 15th was worth 23,000 sats.
- 32:30SPEAKER_05: I hope we're I hope people are being able to see this, right?
- 32:33SPEAKER_05: It's gone down 60,000 sats less than what it was four years ago.
- 32:38SPEAKER_05: 60,000.
- 32:39SPEAKER_05: The same the same$15 that I spent in USD, this isn't even worth$15 anymore if we if we if we base it on a US standard.
- 32:45SPEAKER_05: You know what I'm saying?
- 32:46SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 32:47SPEAKER_05: I hope people can start saying that, like, you know, when you start basing your life in Bitcoin, you start seeing your life get cheaper over time.
- 32:54SPEAKER_05: The rent that you start spending, you know, last year versus like this year is going to be cheaper if you live on a Bitcoin standard.
- 33:01SPEAKER_05: The money that you spend on like a car payment is going to be cheaper versus this versus last year and this year if you live your life on a Bitcoin standard.
- 33:07SPEAKER_05: When you start seeing your life getting cheaper over time, it gives you more of an incentive to like stack more Bitcoin.
- 33:13SPEAKER_05: So again, when it comes to this wasteful spending of vapes, right?
- 33:16SPEAKER_05: Let's say I spent this vape in 2022.
- 33:19SPEAKER_05: Let's say I bought another vape in 2022.
- 33:22SPEAKER_05: Um how much was the vape that I put to put?
- 33:25SPEAKER_02: I think it was$10.
- 33:27SPEAKER_04: $10.
- 33:27SPEAKER_04: $10.
- 33:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:28SPEAKER_04: So while you're doing that, Tosan, 65,000 sats was the difference between the Taco Bell that you bought four years ago.
- 33:36SPEAKER_04: 65,000 stats, you would have had more of.
- 33:39SPEAKER_04: Like life is getting way cheaper.
- 33:41SPEAKER_05: When you live your life on a Bitcoin standard and you start stacking more Bitcoin, so like even here, let's say we bought the$10 vape in 2022.
- 33:48SPEAKER_05: Oh, we need to change the date.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: So let's put November 15th.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: Wasteful.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: So you mean to tell me that I had oh wait, where is it at?
- 34:02SPEAKER_05: So okay, so 59,000 sacks.
- 34:04SPEAKER_05: And if I would have just like held the$10 in sets, I would be able to buy 15, I would be able to buy like four, four, four, three, however many.
- 34:15SPEAKER_05: Like I would be able to buy like triple whatever that the vape was today.
- 34:19SPEAKER_05: And it's just like you just have to start like seeing, okay, is it really worth making this purchase?
- 34:24SPEAKER_05: You know, and sometimes we have, especially Gen Z, I'm not sure how it is for like, you know, other generations, but like delayed gratification is something that I feel like especially my generation, you know, kind of suffers with a little bit, whereas we want to do the experiences and everything else right now.
- 34:37SPEAKER_05: Not saying you shouldn't do those things, but it's just like you have to keep in mind that you do have a future.
- 34:43SPEAKER_05: And is the thing that you really, really want right now worth it when you could have it if you just wait a little bit longer, you know?
- 34:49SPEAKER_05: Um I feel like this conviction allows people to be able to see Bitcoin as something that gives you more purchasing power in the future as you start to like save in it.
- 34:58SPEAKER_05: And then the last thing I want to show you guys, let's say we start buying Bitcoin, right?
- 35:03SPEAKER_05: This app also shows you your cost basis and you know gives you a better visualization of how much your Bitcoin is appreciated over time, how much your cost basis is, how much money you've been spent on Bitcoin, how much you've been profit.
- 35:13SPEAKER_05: So let's say I spent$15,000 on Bitcoin in let's actually just use Swan because you mentioned Swan.
- 35:21SPEAKER_02: Let's say this was for Bitcoin.
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: And we bought this back in 2022.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: I think this probably would buy us one Bitcoin.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: So we bought this back in 2022.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: And then let's say we just did like a couple of purchases over the years, right?
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: Let's just say it's a strike.
- 35:44SPEAKER_05: Let's say we did this in 2024 at the all-time high.
- 35:48SPEAKER_05: I think 2025.
- 35:50SPEAKER_05: But Bitcoin would just do like maybe like one more today, right?
- 35:54SPEAKER_05: Let's say we bought Bitcoin for$600 today.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: This was to Gemini.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: Today's Bitcoin.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: So we see over the years we we spent$20,000 on Bitcoin, right?
- 36:09SPEAKER_05: And you know, that would obviously add to like our stack.
- 36:12SPEAKER_05: We can see like, you know, all the purchases here and like how much we actually got when we bought the Bitcoin.
- 36:16SPEAKER_05: So here on the Bitcoin page, we can see our price history.
- 36:20SPEAKER_05: We can also see our average buy price, our total invested, the current value of it, like how much we've actually made in profit, you know, like you know, how many sacks sets we bought, and then also like all of our Bitcoin buyers all in one place.
- 36:33SPEAKER_05: This is something that people I use like multiple exchanges because I just I have Cash App, I have you know, Shrike, I have River.
- 36:40SPEAKER_05: And sometimes like it doesn't really matter.
- 36:41SPEAKER_05: As long as I can get the Bitcoin, I'll just I'll just buy it.
- 36:43SPEAKER_05: And sometimes like some have lower fees and the others.
- 36:45SPEAKER_05: But like this allows you to kind of see here.
- 36:47SPEAKER_05: Sandler posts his like, you know, every week he'll post like you know his chart.
- 36:51SPEAKER_05: Like this gives you your own personal chart too that you can also share if you wanted to.
- 36:54SPEAKER_05: Um oh, that's cool.
- 36:56SPEAKER_05: That is so cool.
- 36:57SPEAKER_05: Of all your buys.
- 36:59SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and you can also hide the you can also hide some stuff too.
- 37:01SPEAKER_05: So, like if you don't want to show the percentage or if you want to show like anything else, so you can just, you know.
- 37:07SPEAKER_05: That is so cool.
- 37:08SPEAKER_04: That is so that is so cool.
- 37:09SPEAKER_04: And then you just have your own little personal Bitcoin chart of like all your purchase buys, all your own orange dots.
- 37:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you can also see the average here and everything.
- 37:17SPEAKER_05: So seeing this is against two people sometimes like, you know, sleep on dollar cost averaging, but like it really does pay off when you when you do it correctly.
- 37:25SPEAKER_05: So, you know, always tag Bitcoin.
- 37:27SPEAKER_05: This gives you a better visualization of like, you know, where the Bitcoin is going towards and like how much you've appreciated over time.
- 37:33SPEAKER_05: And yeah, just it just a really clear way for you to be able to like you know see these things better.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 37:39SPEAKER_05: Dude, this is good.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: When you go to the um like the dashboard of like your spending, I'm just curious.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: So once you finish the month, like say you did, you know, we were putting in our all of our transactions for July or whatever, does that still stay on there or do you just move it?
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: Does it save it somewhere else?
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Or how does that work?
- 38:00SPEAKER_05: You're saying if like let's say we go from like August to September, right?
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like say like we we just did our August budget, right?
- 38:08SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah, everything everything, everything says you can have this custom rate here where you can like, you know, this is a new account, but like if you wanted to like, you know, just look at a specific month and just like you know, do that, you would just be able to just, you know, put it there.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: I was wondering if it was just always ongoing on this dashboard or if it just stayed within the month um that you're working on.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: This is so that's so cool.
- 38:32SPEAKER_05: This is so cool.
- 38:33SPEAKER_05: And again, I've created a mobile app too.
- 38:35SPEAKER_05: Um I'm working on having it available on Android because then I I don't want to sleep on my Android users.
- 38:40SPEAKER_05: Um, this is you know my way of giving back, and I just really feel like this is something that will bring the community to drive adoption and also be able to like help them out as well.
- 38:50SPEAKER_05: Like nobody's perfect with money, you know.
- 38:52SPEAKER_05: Even like, you know, the richest man on earth, like he'll he'll tell you he's made money in the sick before, you know, make whether it be bad investments or you know, even like, you know, spurging on spending.
- 39:01SPEAKER_05: Um, and I just hope this is able to give, you know, the common man a way to be able to work towards something that doesn't just get inflated away.
- 39:08SPEAKER_05: Bitcoin is hope, Bitcoin is freedom, and you know, it's just something that allows us to be able to move the world forward.
- 39:15SPEAKER_05: And with a lot of like hope that I feel like Gen Z has lost and like you know, other generations that have come, I just want to be able to give back and like show them a way for them to be able to still have faith in a monetary system that actually does work.
- 39:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:28SPEAKER_04: No, this is amazing to us, and and I really appreciate you know you taking your time out and like using your skill sets to like build something like this to add value.
- 39:36SPEAKER_04: It's so funny because it always comes back to like whenever these I see these these great amazing Bitcoin tools, it's like we're so early, right?
- 39:43SPEAKER_04: And we're just like, oh my gosh, like not how are not more people utilizing this or trying to dive in and run into this, but it's because we're like, I also think it's like so early, like like something like this, like Compass is and Odyssey, it's just gonna like it's gonna grow over time exponentially too, because it's gonna go along with Bitcoin and that adoption phase.
- 40:04SPEAKER_04: Um, because this something like this is so good.
- 40:06SPEAKER_04: Like I'm still I'm ready to like to go like when we're getting off and later on tonight when we we or uh when we do our next budget, I'll just insert these and then just see where we're at and uh and itemize it because we're already doing this, so now we can just use it in a Bitcoin tool.
- 40:19SPEAKER_04: So you have Odyssey, you have a compass.
- 40:22SPEAKER_04: What's next?
- 40:23SPEAKER_05: Are you you got anything else you're gonna build for us or what's going on?
- 40:27SPEAKER_05: Most definitely.
- 40:28SPEAKER_05: I actually have like kind of like a studio kind of like thing that I'm kind of trying to build.
- 40:32SPEAKER_05: It's a company called Horizon BTC.
- 40:34SPEAKER_05: And like, you know, I'm trying to create a bunch of like we're doing a solo.
- 40:37SPEAKER_05: I'm trying to create a bunch of like, you know, Bitcoin software and services because you know, it is my goal to like, you know, hopefully be able to just work in the Bitcoin space.
- 40:45SPEAKER_05: Um, it's just something that I've been so drawn to.
- 40:49SPEAKER_05: And, you know, even like when I just made that transaction, like using Bitcoin, like that's something that still kind of blows my mind.
- 40:54SPEAKER_05: I could be in like Thailand or you know, Antarctica or just wherever, as long as I have internet, I can just send money at like the speed of light.
- 41:02SPEAKER_05: I don't know, that still kind of blows my mind.
- 41:04SPEAKER_05: But yeah, what's next is I'm gonna continue to just keep building, you know, compass.
- 41:08SPEAKER_05: I feel like this one is gonna be, I don't want to say you should have like favorites, but like this is gonna be like my favorite child, I feel like.
- 41:15SPEAKER_05: Um, and I just want to keep building it up to you know be a lot better, get feedback for more people, and get it to a point where it's you know self-sustainable, and then I'll just you know continue to build different software from there.
- 41:26SPEAKER_05: Nice.
- 41:27SPEAKER_04: For a compass, how long does something like that take you to build?
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: It's like one day.
- 41:35SPEAKER_05: A couple months.
- 41:36SPEAKER_05: I don't even remember when I started.
- 41:37SPEAKER_05: I think I started this in like uh I got the the sweet pin to let me actually see real quick.
- 41:44SPEAKER_05: And Odyssey.
- 41:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Odyssey took me about I'm gonna say six months for Odyssey.
- 41:49SPEAKER_05: Like, I'm gonna show you guys, I can show you guys Odyssey really quickly too.
- 41:51SPEAKER_05: And I'm not gonna try to be the demo, but I'll show you guys two.
- 41:54SPEAKER_05: Okay, so I started this one June 10th, 2026, and it is August.
- 41:58SPEAKER_05: Oh, so I guess two months.
- 42:00SPEAKER_02: Um Wow.
- 42:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 42:02SPEAKER_04: And I feel like Well, you you started building it in June or you launched it in June?
- 42:07SPEAKER_05: I started building it in June.
- 42:08SPEAKER_05: So I guess like, you know, the better I the you know, the more I work on, the better I get um when it comes to like building different products.
- 42:14SPEAKER_04: So that's great.
- 42:16SPEAKER_04: Only two like two months?
- 42:18SPEAKER_04: That's nothing.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: That's basically one day.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Like I feel like for what you just showed us.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's incredible.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: That's incredible.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: I feel like my mind is blown by all of this stuff.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, let's see.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: Odyssey.
- 42:30SPEAKER_05: And this is Odyssey on the so I don't, it's on it's a mobile app, it's not uh like desktop app, but essentially here it's uh essentially the dual lingua again of Bitcoin, whereas like you can like you know play different games, you can see these different different quests and whatnot.
- 42:45SPEAKER_05: Um, you know, you get to see the live Bitcoin prices Watsum, you get a calculator.
- 42:49SPEAKER_05: You also get a glossary because I feel like a lot of people like hear things like blog chain.
- 42:53SPEAKER_05: What is blockchain?
- 42:54SPEAKER_05: What is proof of work?
- 42:55SPEAKER_05: What are all these like you know, hard concepts that like maybe hard to like gauge?
- 42:59SPEAKER_05: And I wanted to give people like not only glossary, but also resources to be able to like, you know, see, you know, different calculators or see different, like, you know, the white paper and like you know, different books that they can like, you know, read if they want to like get more interest on it.
- 43:11SPEAKER_05: And also too, as I mentioned, it's a game where it's like you can also like get achievements as well, where it's like, you know, you you earn points, you earn XP, um, you get a streak for like, you know, completing like quests every day.
- 43:23SPEAKER_05: And yeah, I just I just want to be able to, you know, just teach people about Bitcoin and bring it to them in like a fun way where it's like not just a boring, sometimes like you know, video that's like you know, just a guy talking about math.
- 43:35SPEAKER_05: Like Bitcoin is fun.
- 43:37SPEAKER_05: Bitcoin really is fun when you like really think about it.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: And it's applicable.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: That's what we want to be able to do.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: Because when he's first started telling me about Bitcoin, I was like, I don't I don't know what you're saying right now.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Like this sounds like a whole other world.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: I don't understand.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: Is this real?
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: You know, and so as you talk to so many more people, it's something that we can actually use.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: And that's such an important thing that I think now needs to.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: To be adopted amongst Bitcoiners is not necessarily holding on right to every single Bitcoin, but now we actually need to create that ecosystem of spending and doing that.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: So you've created two amazing tools, one for learning and engaging in Bitcoin.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: And also this just to be able to help people budget and also see how you can live on a Bitcoin standard and reallocating those, you know, the fiat into what is going to drive your future forward.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: And I just think this is so helpful.
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to dive into that app as well.
- 44:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we already do it.
- 44:35SPEAKER_04: So that's why I'm really pumped up.
- 44:36SPEAKER_04: We could just like move everything over.
- 44:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 44:38SPEAKER_04: And then also, yeah, another reason why she dove into it because like our stack was growing.
- 44:42SPEAKER_04: So I need to know how to get access to this family.
- 44:45SPEAKER_04: If anything were to happen to me.
- 44:46SPEAKER_04: Also, Justin, this was amazing.
- 44:48SPEAKER_04: Uh, one of the our favorite questions we always like to end off with is if someone's watching this podcast for the first time, they're entering the Bitcoin space, what kind of advice would you give to them as they navigate this new space?
- 44:58SPEAKER_05: First, thank you guys for having me on in the first place.
- 45:01SPEAKER_05: And I gave Anthony a free account too.
- 45:03SPEAKER_05: So, like, you know, be able to, you know, try it out.
- 45:06SPEAKER_05: Let me, you know, hear any feedback, like anything you want to add, improve.
- 45:09SPEAKER_05: Like, you know, we're building the Bitcoin community is together.
- 45:11SPEAKER_05: Like, we're building this together.
- 45:12SPEAKER_05: Even it may just me, even though I'm the one coding it, like we're together in this space.
- 45:16SPEAKER_05: So, like, you know, always feel free to like reach out to me.
- 45:19SPEAKER_05: But the thing that I would tell someone is to be patient.
- 45:23SPEAKER_05: You know, we talk about delayed gratification, we talk about like, you know, one of things right now and these different highs, but I would just say be patient with not only just like holding it, but learning about it.
- 45:32SPEAKER_05: Like nobody understands Bitcoin the day they hear about it the first time.
- 45:36SPEAKER_05: Even Michael Saylor was the biggest Bitcoin bull.
- 45:38SPEAKER_05: Like, he, you know, was a guess at the first.
- 45:40SPEAKER_05: You know, it just takes time to like, you know, be able to just see its applications, see why it exists in the first place, see the problems that it solves and the different tools and things that you can use to, you know, really become more of a Bitcoiner.
- 45:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah, just be patient and just ask questions.
- 45:58SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: So good.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: That's super helpful.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: And I feel that's, yeah, you have to be patient in life in general.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: Things aren't always going to happen the when when you want them to.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: And so that's just a good thing to be able to do in general.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: And I love that you touched on that.
- 46:12SPEAKER_00: So we appreciate you, Tosin, so much.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: Not only just your time here today, but also what you're creating in the Bitcoin space.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: It's super amazing to see how people are using their talents to just grow Bitcoin and really help people and support people who are either new or have been in the space and maybe just are like, man, this tool would have been so helpful back when I first started.
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: And so again, we appreciate you and we look forward to connecting with you.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: But in the meantime, where can people connect with you?
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: Um yeah.
- 46:45SPEAKER_05: Most of make sure to follow me on Twitter at Tosin X Oganjobi, T-O-S-I-N-X-O-G-U-N-J-O-B-I.

- 46:57SPEAKER_05: It is Horizon B T C H R Z N B T C H R Z N B T C.
- 47:02SPEAKER_05: And make sure to just download uh Compass too and try it out.
- 47:05SPEAKER_05: It's at uh Compass B T C dot app.
- 47:07SPEAKER_05: Compass B T C dot app.
- 47:09SPEAKER_05: Um, yeah, and any questions, you know, just reach out to me and I will 100%, you know, respond back.
- 47:16SPEAKER_05: Awesome.
- 47:16SPEAKER_05: Awesome.
- 47:17SPEAKER_05: Thank you so much, Test.
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: All right.
