- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome in to Duval.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: Daily, presented by Genjag.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluga.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Wednesday, January 14th.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: We all know it's the off season for the Jaguars.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the playoffs are still going on.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars aren't part of them.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: Very unfortunate, right?
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: But it is what it is.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: A disappointing loss.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to hear more about my opinion and thoughts on that loss, you can go check out.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: the numerous videos we've had over the last couple days, but right now we are doing a kind of look ahead type of deal to free agency and looking specifically at the Jaguars in-house free agents 42026.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have almost 20 in-house free agents.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: I believe the number is 18.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: We'll take a look at each and every one of them and just kind of talk about and not all of those are
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: unrestricted for agents and so we'll we'll be able to look at all that good stuff.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I did want to share that the jag wars, uh, they signed a bunch of practice squad players basically to reserve slash future contracts yesterday.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I just thought that that was something interesting to know.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: These are basically deals where it locks in the Jack Wars being able to have these players on a non-gare and to contract heading into 2026.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, quarterback Carter Bradley goes Bradley Sun, who they acquired earlier this season, who they've really been highly complimentary of.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Why'd receiver Chandler, Brae Boy, who did a good amount of,
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, impressive route running and playmaking throughout training camp in the off-season, offensive Lyman drove in Carvin, tied in Patrick Herbert who is Justin Herbert's little brother, who is a rookie this past year, running back to Quinn and Jackson another rookie this past year that had a really good training camp in preseason and somebody.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's good to keep him around.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you see for Tim Jones?
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: We all know about him.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive Lyman Ricky Lee.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Cornerback Kenny H. Lovely who made some good plays throughout the off season.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously all of these players are guys that the Jack Wars.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: value having in their building, value having at least the opportunity to have them in their building, heading into 2026.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: So DB Jibar Muhammad, I don't know why they always listen to him as a DB.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: He's a corner, really.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's a smaller corner out of Oregon, who is a really talented player.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: I thought absolutely would have been drafted.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: If he was just a little bit bigger.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: Devens of Lyman, Kivi Rose, DB Cameron,
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: College teammate of Travis Hunter and BJ Green.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's a fiery guy like the way he plays the game.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Safety travian Thomas.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you see for Austin?
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Tramble.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive linemen.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Salwormly.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive linemen.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: Killian Zero.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the guys that Jack Wars have locked in on those reserved slash future contract, which are mostly going to be like practice squad types generally speaking.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at the rest of these guys, we'll do that in just a second.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Did want to thank y'all for tuning in and if you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe and you can also check out jenjag.com.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Pick up some new doovall gear help support the channel.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Look, good.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, doing it.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: So we got to get into these unrestricted free agents to start.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: We'll look at the restricted free agents and unrestricted free agents as well.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, exclusive rights free agents and restricted free agents.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think pretty much all the guys in that category for the Jaguars, it's safe to say that if the Jaguars want to get them back, that they will, but we'll get to that when we get that.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, we're just going down the list here on over the cap.com, which is my number one resource for free agency and salary cap information, right?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: And if you do want to know about the Jaguar's salary cap, because it's a pretty big part of free agency.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Again, you can go look it over the cap yourself, but we can also pull it up right here.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: So the Jags, the salary cap, at this moment, not looking great for 2026, but there's,
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: According to over the cap, they're 13.8 over the cap, but I think that the cap still is going to rise, and there's still some different roster mechanisms that I think will lower that number, a significant deal, and the cap will rise.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: We just don't know the number yet, but looking at,
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that they're 13.8 million over at this moment, which I don't think is realistic, I think it's much closer to five.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: They've got a lot of work to do.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so, look, the Army Browd, he is a free agent and the Jaguars, I don't think he needs to spend too much time on this.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: They signed him this off season to a one-year deal.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: They wanted him to come in here and prove that he could be one of these guys that can really stretch the field and do some good things for them on the outside.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: That did not happen.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: He dealt with the injuries a little bit, but overall it just was a failed experiment and he'll be moving on.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: feel confident in saying that.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Colvin Lannon is listed on the table here, but he's obviously under contract, the Jaguar has gave him a $17 million per year deal.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Three year deal, but basically two years guaranteed there.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Emmanuel Agba, understrict a pre-agent.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: 33 years old did not have the type of season that I think he or Anthony Campanyla expected when they kind of decided, this is what we're gonna do.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so I don't think he's gonna be back.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: So so far, you're probably talking about the homie brand and manual logbook on.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: The next two guys on the list, actually, yeah, very interesting.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Lloyd.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: 28-year-old linebacker going into his 50-year, the Jaguar has had the opportunity to pick up his 50-year option.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: They did not.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't blame them at all because 50-year options for linebackers are merged with edge players and the number is just silly.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: It'd be smarter to just sign a player than give them the 50-year option.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't blame them at all for not picking up his 50-year option.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: But now you're at a situation where extremely
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: extremely productive player, second team all pro, good argue you should have been first.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: And guy that you really want back on your defense, there's no question about that.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: You want to continue to have
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar is most consistent, super power, as James Ladsson will call it this year, was there run defense in their playmaking and Devon Lloyd contributes highly to both of those things.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you'd love to have Devon Lloyd back.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: My guess is he would be an 18 plus million dollar linebacker.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's my guess, per year, is that gonna work out?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: and it's we've talked about this a little bit on the channel.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's really fascinating to just think about how the Rams have operated and like that's where James Gladstone comes from.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: Will he be beholden to the process that they have taken in the past, which has been they have not valued the off ball linebacker position very highly at all with the Rams.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, wasn't part of the, or maybe he was, I can't remember actually when, uh, when, uh, Kyron was signed, but either way, the organization that he cut his teeth, I mean, the only organization he's ever been with the sides of Jaguars, they showed you their sign of running back here.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Um, they've done that in the past too, but, uh, Travis ETN, he's 27, he just came off his fifth year, which was really his fourth year, because he missed his rookie year with the list, Frank injury,
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: but also argue that 2024 was pretty wasted year for him because Doug Peterson decided to lose confidence in him.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: For that, still pisses me off.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Travis C.T.N.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Great season.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Great young career in Jacksonville.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it clips to thousand yards and three of the four years he was healthy.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's electric, he's explosive.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think he improved his vision this year.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think he improved in a lot of ways this year.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: His past protection.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: He just became a really, really damn good running back and he's explosive.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: He can force Miss tackles in an extremely high rate.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's fast.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: My guess for him would be in the same range as
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: per year.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: That would be my guess.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: If I had to pick between Devin Lloyd or Travis ETN, I would probably pick Devin Lloyd.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: I will not be surprised, honestly, in any way shape or form with either of these two guys, if they're both back, if only one of them's back, if they're both gone.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I do not know what to expect from this Jacksonville
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: football team, I think in a perfect world, they would say, yeah, we're signing both of them.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: They have both fully committed to our program.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: They have both fully committed to our kind of thought process and our culture.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: And they both produced an extremely high level.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: These are the types of guys that we pay.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just look at what they did with COVID and land and and Jacobi Myers, right?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, there is some restrictions
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Unless you get creative, which absolutely could.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: There are some players that the Jaguars could potentially move on from.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: There are some players that the Jaguars could restructure.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: look at Trevor Lawrence's contract, look at some of the other guys, you can definitely restructure some things to make it work.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: And just so everyone knows, like, a debit Lloyd contract at, if it was at 18 million per year, you know, you're not getting an $18 million cap in your one, you don't have to account for those $18 million per year in your one, because ShodCon is so willing to write these
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: signing bonuses that can get pro-rated throughout the length of a contract.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: So on average, like if you were talking about 18 million, you could probably if you want to just go with 40 percent, which is a 40 percent for the year one capit, his capit could be $7.2 million in 2026, right?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, and then you look at Travis C.T.N.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: 40% of that, and I use 40% because that's a number similar to what the Jaguars have historically done.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: And last year they did some different things.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's a new group writing these contracts and doing different things.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, a $12 million contract for Travis C. T. N. You're probably talking about about $5 million capit if you want to write it that way in
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Bill will have to be paid at some point.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, are you completely restricted from being able to bring these guys back?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: No, you're absolutely not.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: You absolutely could bring them back.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: If that's the path you want to go down if you're the Jaguars, I would not blame them for that.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: If I had to pick one or the other because they are gonna be the two most expensive players, I would pick Devon Lloyd, I think that his skill set is a little bit less replaceable.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: a little bit more critical.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think you already have facial toon and liquid Allen to backs you can rely on.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: And you have a lot of day to draft capital and day three to potentially bring in another back if you want to as well.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I would be in favor of trying to make it work with bringing both of them back, I really would.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll see if that's the path the Jaguar is going down.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: do got to talk to y'all about underdog fantasy playing on underdog is easy just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like touchdowns receiving arts interceptions and more you can now make team picks on underdog too.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's super fun.

- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate them supporting the show.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we talked about Devon and Travis two really good players I want to have around.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Andrew Wingard at safety is one where love him.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Love some of the fire he brings.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he did some really good things against the bills the other day.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's always been a good special teams player
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: guy you like to have around, but you look at safety.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Branson's coming back, you have Eric Murray, you have Antonio Johnson's emergence, you have Ray on Lane.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Could you bring Andrew Winger back on a very cheap deal?
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but he's 30 years old.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: So, I really don't have a vibe on what the Jaguars will do with that.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised either way, honestly.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: If they just said, look, we've got four safeties.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: We feel good about, we can go draft another one if we really want to or bring back Andrew Winger on a cheap deal.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that there's anything really wrong with either of those paths.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: Greg Newsom, he is going to be a free agent as well.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what his market would be like because, you know, former first round pick has had some big moments in the NFL has played some good football, but overall was inconsistent for the Jaguars.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: Had some big moments for the Jaguars against the bills and then had some ugly moments, really ugly moments for the Jaguars against the bills, unfortunately.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's only 26 years old, he's a great athlete, he has all the talent in the world.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: uh... i don't know i think he's better personally in a man coverage in a heavier man coverage scheme but
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: It would be surprising to me if the Jaguar is bringing him back.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just say that.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Tim Patrick, kind of in a similar vein to Andrew Wingard, I think can do some very good things for you, certainly not a starter, a role player at wide receiver.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's 33 years old.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: He can do a lot of the dirty work things.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: He can be tough and reliable for the most part.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Do you need to bring that back?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: Or do you feel good about your wide receiver group plus Travis Hunter?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe some of the young guys stepping up, maybe adding another, you know, a wide receiver at some point in the draft.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: Don't really know what Tim Patrick, but I would not be mad to see him back, thinking he can still play Austin Johnson.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: And these are still all unrestricted for agents.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: So anybody can sign them if the Jaguar is don't bring them back.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Austin Johnson, interior defense of Lyman, who the Jaguar is signed in training camp from the bills, not from the bills, because he wasn't on the bills, roster, but he had been with the bills before that.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: Austin Johnson, I like him as a depth player.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's 32 years old.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think that,
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: My guess would be they would be residing Austin Johnson or Matt Dickerson, and I think that they would go with Matt Dickerson.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was just a little bit more impactful for them.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: They're both unrestricted for agents.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're both 30 or older.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: They're both these kind of like journeymen, defensive tackle types.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Matt Dickerson is a little bit more of the guy that they would roll with there if they were picking one of the other.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at Dennis Gardeck, he's 32 years old.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: has the ability to make a big impact on a game if he's put into specific situations, coming off the ball, obviously as a special teamer, a really good special teamer, I would think they would want to bring him back.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know, I don't think he would cost much.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: Just given his age, his injury, history, his role.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: I would think they would want to bring him back.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: but they did draft jail in the club who is a similar archetype of player.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: DeWanSmoot, I think he did a little bit better than, I mean, you'll log with for the Jack Wars this year kind of in that similar vein of a 30 plus year old player.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're just bringing in to be a rotational depth guy on the defensive line.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Love DeWanSmoot, don't think he had a great year.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised if Snoot and Agua are both gone.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I definitely think Ogre will be gone.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not 100% sure on some of it.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that they really love him in that locker room.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that there's more value to him versatility wise, leadership wise, just being a good guy in there.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe they do bring him back on event minimum deal.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Talk about Matt Dickerson already.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Dallas is an unrestricted free agent.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: expect them to bring him back.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: Not because he's not good.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think he was a good addition for them, honestly.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's he's a pretty good special teams.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, very good, special teams in back into the roster type running back.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: So no problem with him there at all.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: Keith Taylor at corner was kind of signed due to different injuries at the position.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's a restricted free agent.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguar is won't him back, they'll probably be able to have
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I don't have any, any feeling either way on what their opinion on Keith Taylor really is other than they like him enough to have brought him in.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's a restrictive range.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: Quentin Morris is an understricted for agent.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: I would think they would bring him back.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they'll value just the way he came in,
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: wasn't really given an opportunity to be a top two tied in for them and at times absolutely was throughout the year and was a really good special team or just hard work or do it all type of guy.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I would guess they would bring him back, but it wouldn't be a shocker either way.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: A Christian Brasswell and exclusive rights for Agent, I expect him to be back.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, if they won't end back, they have him back.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: and I expect them to bring him back.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think they liked the way he developed throughout the year.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: Monterey Brown is an unrestricted for agent and I expect him back.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Out of all the players we talked about today, he would honestly be the one that would surprise me the most if he's not back.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: And that is because I don't think he's going to have a huge market.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: but the values, the Jaguar's value him as a starter, and their scheme, and he played like a really good starter and their scheme overall.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that they can find value in Monterey, Brown, and bringing him back, and I think that they will.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Sheepis is an exclusive rights reagent.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I would expect him to, was he on that list actually?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: He was not on that list.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see, I would expect them to bring him back when I 100% sure.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then, try to be on Thomas is on this list.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: But he was signed to that result.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: Reserve slash futures deal.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that's your list of free agents.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the Jaguars, they don't have much cuts.
